NCIS: Sydney is almost here and will open up a whole new world for the long-running franchise. The series is NCIS' first international spinoff, and CBS was even celebrating by airing Sydney commercials upside down to get people interested. While the NCIS: Sydney's main cast is completed, there’s always the possibility more stars could be added--particularly in the realm of guest stars. Could that even include Hawaii Five-0’s Australian lead Alex O’Loughlin? 

In 2011, NCIS: Los Angeles’ Daniela Ruah appeared on Hawaii Five-0 to reprise NCIS Special Agent Kensi Blye, and this brought the Hawaii-set series into the NCIS franchise. Even more, the two shows had a two-part crossover event the following year. Although Hawaii Five-0 ended three years ago, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s the end for the show's characters. 

Creator Morgan O’Neill told TVLine there’s always a possibility they could be brought back:

To note though, O’Loughlin’s last acting credit was Hawaii Five-0, with nothing new planned yet. It’s been three years since fans last saw the actor on their screens. He was pretty steady with the acting since 2003 and starred on all 10 seasons of the CBS procedural, so it’s not surprising that he would want to take a bit of a break. However, his return to television is definitely long overdue. A show filming in his home country and returning to CBS would surely be icing on the cake. Bring on the crossover!

Even if Alex O’Loughlin does eventually appear on NCIS: Sydney, it’s always possible that Steve McGarrett won’t. The actor could portray a completely different character instead, as it’s been done before. Take Katrina Law, for instance. O’Loughlin’s former Hawaii Five-0 co-star now stars on the mothership NCIS series as Jessica Knight rather than Quinn Liu. Either way, it would definitely be nice to see him on NCIS: Sydney, no matter what who he plays. It doesn’t seem like that will be happening any time soon, but hopefully the series will be renewed for a second season, so there are more chances.

Meanwhile, NCIS: Sydney may be taking place Down Under, but that isn’t stopping the series from referencing the rest of the NCIS franchise. Morgan O’Neill previously teased that there are Easter Eggs, but obviously wouldn’t specify what and how. NCIS is a big organization, so it’s likely the U.S. agents on Sydney have come across or at least heard of some of the agents that fans know well. It’s also possible that Sydney could get in on some crossover action once NCIS and NCIS: Hawai’i finally come back following the end of the SAG-AFTRA strike. 

Fans will have to tune in to NCIS: Sydney on the 2023 TV schedule to see what happens in this franchise's new series and hope that familiar faces will show up on Sydney sooner or later. The drama will officially premiere on CBS on Tuesday, November 14 at 8 p.m. ET, and can also be streamed with a Paramount+ subscription.

For 10 seasons and 240 episodes, CBS's modernized reboot of Hawaii Five-0 became a mainstay on the popular network. Starring Alex O'Loughlin, Scott Caan, Grace Park, and Daniel Dae Kim, the procedural detective drama was a dependable franchise, spanning a few more shows, before its cancellation. Now that a year has passed since the series finale, fans are wondering what the Hawaii Five-0 cast is working on now. Let's find out!

Alex O’Loughlin (Lieutenant Commander Steven “Steve” McGarrett, USNR)

As Lieutenant Commander Steven "Steve" McGarrett, the Navy SEAL who founded and led the Hawaii Five-0, Alex O'Loughlin was the star of CBS's long-running reboot series. He also served as a writer, producer, and director. O'Loughlin's other TV credits include Three Rivers, Moonlight, The Shield, Mary Bryant, Criminal Minds, and White Collar Blue. Additionally, in film, the actor starred in The Back-Up Plan. Also, O'Loughlin can be seen in August Rush, Whiteout, The Invisible, The Holiday, Man-Thing, Oyster Farm, and Feed, which he also co-wrote and co-produced. His next project hasn't been announced yet.

Scott Caan (Detective Sergeant Danny “Danno” Williams, HPD)

In the role of Detective Sergeant Danny "Danno" Williams, a former New Jersey police detective who moves to Hawaii to be closer to his daughter, Scott Caan was the co-lead of CBS's Hawaii Five-0. He also played this part in NCIS: Los Angeles. The son of screen legend James Caan, the actor's other TV credits include Entourage and Vice Principals.

Away from television, Scott Caan starred in Ready to Rumble, A Boy Called Hate, Into the Blue, Black and White, Boiler Room, American Outlaws, In Enemy Hands, Brooklyn Rules, 3 Geezers!, and A Beginner's Guide to Endings. He's also known for his role as Turk Mallory in the Ocean's movies. Also, Caan appeared in Gone in 60 Seconds, Meet Dave, Novocaine, and Varsity Blues. Additionally, Caan wrote, directed, and starred in Dallas 362 and The Dog Problem. He also wrote and acted in Mercy. Outside of this series, Caan was most recently seen in Untogether. The actor's next project is unknown.

Daniel Dae Kim (Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly, HPD)

Playing the part of Detective Lieutenant Chin Ho Kelly, a former HPD cop who gets recruited to the Five-0, Daniel Dae Kim played a main character on this series for seven seasons. The actor also directed an episode. Most notably, Kim appeared in ABC's Lost and The WB's Angel. His other TV credits include ER, 24, Star Trek: Enterprise, and Beverly Hills, 90210. Additionally, Kim plays recurring roles in NBC's New Amsterdam, Amazon Prime's Flack, and CBS's The Good Doctor, where he's an executive producer.

Outside of television, Daniel Dae Kim starred in Hellboy (2019). Also, the actor appeared in Always Be My Maybe, Crash (2004), Hulk, Cradle 2 the Grave, For the Love of the Game, The Jackal, Blast Blast (which he also produced), The Cave, and The Divergent Series: Insurgent and Allegiant. Most recently, Kim was seen in Netflix's Stowaway and heard in Disney's Raya and the Last Dragon. Next, he'll star in National Geographic's The Hot Zone: Anthrax, and he'll be seen in FX's The Premise and heard in AMC's Pantheon.

Grace Park (Officer Kono Kalakaua)

As Officer Kono Kalakaua, an expert sniper in the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force, Grace Park played the female lead in this long-running detective series for seven seasons. She also played this part in an episode of MacGyver. Most notably, Park is known for her role as Lt. Sharon Valerii in Battlestar Galactica. The actress can also be seen in Edgemont, The Cleaner, The Border, The Outer Limits, Dark Angel, Stargate SG-1, The Dead Zone, CSI, and LA Law: The Movie. Her other TV credits include Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction, Jake 2.0, Human Cargo, The Immortal, and Secret Agent Man. Furthermore, as a voice actress, Park lent her voice to American Dad!

Additionally, in film, Grace Park appeared in Romeo Must Die, West 32nd, Adventures in Public School, Run Rabbit Run, and Freaks, as well as two short films, 2003's Fluffy and 2012's The First Days. Currently, she stars in ABC's family drama, A Million Little Things.

Masi Oka (Dr. Max Bergman)

In the role of Dr. Max Bergman, the Chief Medical Examiner for both the Honolulu Police Department and the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force, Masi Oka was a prominent character throughout the majority of the show's time on television. Most notably, Oka played Hiro Nakamura in NBC's Heroes and Heroes Reborn. His other TV credits include Mozart in the Jungle, Scrubs, The Jamie Kennedy Experiment, Gilmore Girls, Dharm & Greg, Yes Dear, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Reno 911!, Reba, Still Standing, and Without a Trace.

Outside of TV, Masi Oka played Bruce in Get Smart and starred in the direct-to-DVD film, Get Smart's Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control. His other film credits include The Meg, Jobs, Friends with Benefits, Fired Up, The Promotion, Balls of Fury, House of the Dead 2, Legally Blond 2: Red, White & Blonde, Along Came Polly, Searching For Sonny, Austin Powers in Goldmember, and Death Note, which he also produced. Also, Oka is heard in The Proud Family Movie and Spies in Disguise. Next, the actor will star in Bullet Train.

Michelle Borth (Lieutenant Catherine Rollins, USNR)

Playing the part of Lieutenant Catherine Rollins, Steve McGarrett's on-and-off love interest, Michelle Borth was a recurring presence throughout Hawaii Five-0's 10 season run. Away from this show, Borth played main roles in ABC's The Forgotten and Combat Hospital and HBO's Tell Me You Love Me. Her other TV credits include Law & Order: SVU, Supernatural, The Cleaner, and Dark Blue. Additionally, Borth starred in Lifetime's Devious Nanny. In film, Borth can be seen in Shazam!, A Good Old Fashioned Orgy, Easy Rider 2: The Ride Home, Timer, Trespassers, and Teenage Cocktail. She also appeared in John Mayer's "Bigger Than My Body" music video and Burger King's "Lunch Break" advertising campaign. Away from acting, Borth is an executive producer on 2010's Everything Will Happen Before You Die and the co-founder of Roll Up Your Sleeves.

Most recently, Michelle Borth starred in the TV movie, No Good Deed, which is also known as No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. Her next project hasn't been announced.

Taylor Wily (Kamekona Tupuola)

As Kamekona Tupuola, Hawaii Five-0's loyal, confidential informant and the local entrepreneur behind Wailoa Shave Ice, Taylor Wily played an affable and dependable character throughout this reboot's entire run. Previously a sumo wrestler and mixed martial artist, Wily made his acting debut in a 1982 episode of Magnum P.I. He can also be seen in Marker, One West Waikiki, North Shore, MacGyver, and, to bring things full circle, the Magnum P.I. reboot, where he reprised his role as Kamekona Tupuola. Away from television, Wily is best known for playing Kemo in Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He can also be seen in Radical and a pair of short films, 2014's Where I Come From and the upcoming Gut Instinct, respectively. Next, Wily is attached to Here Comes the Sun.

Dennis Chun (Sgt. Duke Lukela)

In the role of Sgt. Duke Lukela, a good friend of the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force, Dennis Chun could be seen throughout the show's extensive TV tenure. The son of the original Hawaii Five-O's Kam Fong Chun, the TV actor is among the few stars to appear in both iterations of this procedural detective series. His other TV credits include The Brady Bunch, Jake and the Fatman, Raven, and the original Magnum P.I. Additionally, Chun's film credits include Inferno in Paradise and Goodbye Paradise. Outside of acting, he produced and directed 2012's short film, Family. Most recently, Chun reprised his role as Sgt. Duke Lukela in Magnum P.I. Next, he'll be seen in the short film, Same T'ing.

Chi McBride (Captain Lou Grover)

Playing the part of Captain Lou Grover, the former captain of the Honolulu Police Department's SWAT team, Chi McBride was a main cast member on CBS's Hawaii Five-0 following his Season 4 introduction. In addition to starring in the long-running show, McBride also wrote a few episodes. Most notably, McBride is known for playing Principal Steven Harper in Fox's Boston Public, Emerson Cod in ABC's Pushing Daisies, and Detective Laverne Winston in Fox's Human Target. His other television credits include House, The John Larroquette Show, Monk, Golden Boy, Suits, and The Practice.

Furthermore, as a voice actor, Chi McBride can be heard in Max Steel, Rocket Power, Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, Phineas and Ferb: Mission Marvel, Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload, and Hulk and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Outside of TV, he's best known for The Terminal, Gone in 60 Seconds, Roll Bounce, Draft Day, Narc, The Kid, Waiting..., Undercover Brother, Let's Go to Prison, and I, Robot. Most recently, McBride guest-starred on NBC's This Is Us. Next, he'll star in CBS's Smallwood.

Jorge Garcia (Special Consultant Jerry Ortega)

As Special Consultant Jerry Ortega, a conspiracy theorist who regularly consults and assists the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force, Jorge Garcia was a main character on this CBS series following a recurring role in Season 4. Most notably and memorably, the actor played Hugo "Hurley" Reyes in ABC's Lost. His other notable TV credits include Becker, Alcatraz, Once Upon a Time, Californication, Tim and Eric's Bedtime Stories, How I Met Your Mother, Spin City, Columbo, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. Additionally, in film, Garcia appeared in The Ridiculous Six, Deck the Halls, Cooties, The Wedding Ringer, Get a Job, The Healer, iSteve, Little Athens, and The Wrong Missy. He's also heard in Rock Dog.

Outside of acting, Jorge Garcia co-hosted the podcast, Kaiju Podcast. He also produced the 2014 documentary, Extinction Soup, and wrote 2012's short film, Shredded. Most recently, the actor starred in Netflix's Nobody Knows I'm Here. He also guest-starred in CBS's MacGyver. Next, Garcia will star in When We Were Pirates, which he will produce.

Meaghan Rath (Officer Tani Rey)

In the role of Officer Tani Rey, a young member of the Hawaii Five-0 Task Force, Meaghan Rath became a primary character in the final seasons of this CBS drama. Outside of this series, Rath starred in 15/Love, The Assistants, Being Human, Cooper Barrett's Guide to Surviving Life, and Rogue. She also had recurring roles on New Girl, Banshee, and Secrets and Lies. Her other TV credits include Kingdom, Schitt's Creek, Motive, and Flashpoint. Additionally, Rath reprised her role as Tani Rey in Magnum P.I.

Away from television, Meaghan Rath co-wrote, produced, and starred in Three Night Stand. She can also be seen in The Clinic, Another Kind of Wedding, Prom Wars: Love is a Battlefield, and Lost and Delirious. Most recently, Rath guest-starred in The CW's Supergirl. Next, she'll star in and executive produce CTV's Children Ruin Everything.

Ian Anthony Dale (Adam Noshimuri)

Playing the part of Adam Noshimuri, the head of the Special Division of Organized Crime, Ian Anthony Dale was a long-standing recurring character on Hawaii Five-0 before he became a main player in the final seasons. He also directed an episode. Outside of this series, Dale starred in Surface, The Event, Day Break, Murder in the First, and Salvation. He can also be seen in Charmed, Criminal Minds, JAG, Angel, Las Vegas, CSI: Miami, Cold Case, Burn Notice, American Horror Story: Coven, and Hart of Dixie.

Additionally, Ian Anthony Dale starred in the web series, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, where the actor reprised his role as Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion from Mortal Kombat: Rebirth. Furthermore, his other film credits include Mr. 3000, The Bucket List, The Hangover, Tekken, XOXO, and Wakefield. Most recently, Dale was seen in CBS's short-lived All Rise.

Christine Lahti returns to Hawaii Five-0 as Doris McGarrett, Steve McGarrett's mother, in Season 10's powerful new tearjerker episode written and directed by McGarrett actor Alex O'Loughlin.

The Friday, November 8 episode is called "Ka 'i'o" -- Hawaiian for "DNA" -- with the CIA informing McGarrett that his mother has gone rogue on her undercover mission and may have killed her partner. So Steve goes solo to bring her home and prove her innocence.

Executive producer Peter M. Lenkov had teased that the "brilliant" episode would be one to watch:

The great Christine Lahti has been in nine previous episodes of Hawaii Five-0 from 2012 to 2016, playing McGarrett's mom, aka CIA agent "Shelburne."

This is star Alex O'Loughlin's third time directing a Hawaii Five-0 episode -- after Season 8's "E Ho'Oko Kuleana"/"To Do One's Duty" in 2018, and Season 9's "E'ao lu'au a kualima"/"Offer Young Taro Leaves To" earlier in 2019. He has a story by credit for Season 8, Episode 24, but this is his first time as the sole credited writer, which is pretty exciting.

Back in 2018, Alex O'Loughlin talked to EW about his directorial debut, saying the most difficult part was that his extra duties as director prevented him from spending as much time as he wanted prepping as an actor. Usually, he said, he studied every beat of a scene and put hours of homework into it before stepping on set.

That was then, though, and I have no doubt he learned a lot in the next two directing trips -- especially since he's so heavily involved in the new one. But even after just getting his feet wet with that directorial debut, he knew he had the directing bug:

After Alex O'Loughlin's "Ka 'i'o," Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 continues with "Ne'e aku, ne'e mai ke one o Punahoa"/"That way and this way shifts the sand of Punahoa" on Friday, November 15 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS.

Hawaii Five-0 fans were thrown for a loop in the Season 9 finale, where things ended on a particularly bad note for one or more characters, thanks to an angry wife's vengeful plan. Viewers were left in the dark about how devastating things got, but a recently revealed Season 10 logline struck alarm bells by saying the Hawaii Five-0 crew would be "saying goodbye to one of their own," possibly putting McGarrett or Jerry on the cutting block. It may not be a worst-case scenario, however.

Showrunner Peter M. Lenkov attempted to clear up Hawaii Five-0 fans' murky worries, while also confirming that the last-minute shooting wasn't just a fluke that's being swept under the rug. In Lenkov's words:

Phew! Based on what Peter M. Lenkov said to TVLine, along with some other things he mentioned, I think fans can start making some confident assumptions about what will go down when Season 10 kicks off later in September.

Unless a completely unpredictable wrench gets thrown in the works, it sounds like the gunshot victim will be heading to the hospital, and that they might not return to the 5-0 life right away, if at all. Which is obviously better than a character being killed off altogether, even if that character is still leaving.

And that character will almost definitely be Jorge Garcia's Jerry Ortega, who was the only other potential victim beyond Alex O'Loughlin's Steve McGarrett. We'll get into why the latter is presumably safe in a second, although him being one of the core characters of this franchise is a big clue. Jerry, on the other hand, was a creation for the CBS reboot, and there were rumors floating around during Season 9 that Garcia might be making an exit ahead of Season 10.

Alex O'Loughlin wrote and directed the seventh episode of Hawaii Five-0's tenth season, which will apparently be a "powerful and emotional" installment for Scott Caan's Danny. That doesn't necessarily mean that McGarrett is alive and well, of course, but the showrunner didn't bring up any Season 10 details for Jerry or Jorge Garcia. But the way Lenkov talked, it seems like the team is already set to welcome Jerry back into the fold at some point in the future.

To Peter M. Lenkov's point, Hawaii Five-0 has definitely had stars coming and going through the years, though not always with the most positive or reaffirming reasonings. Fans no doubt recall the controversial exits from stars Grace Park and Daniel Dae Kim, who left Hawaii Five-0 ahead of Season 8 reportedly due to contractual disputes stemming from pay parity. Longtime star Masa Oki also vacated the series ahead of Season 8, though probably not for the same reasons as his co-stars.

Possibly to make up for its cast exit(s) for Season 10, Hawaii Five-0 brought in some new blood in the form of Arrow vet Katrina Law. Her arrival as former Staff Sergeant Quinn Liu, which will occur during a case involving military veterans, will reflect the first time McGarrett and Danny met. Don't expect everything to be hunky dory, of course, as she was removed from her Army CID post due to insubordination, so she might have a hot streak that'll keep the others on their toes.

2019 Fall TV Premiere Schedule: Dates For New And Returning Shows

Who will Hawaii Five-0 be saying goodbye to in the Season 10 premiere? Is a misdirect ahead, and it's not something shocking, or was someone killed by that bullet from the Season 9 finale?

The September 27 premiere is going to have to resolve the gunshot cliffhanger of the Season 9 finale. Who, if anyone, was shot? At the time, it looked like it could be Steve McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin) or Jerry Ortega (Jorge Garcia). After Omar Hassan's wife pulled the trigger, we heard Danny Williams (Scott Caan) say, "Oh my God." What happened next?

Well, it's pretty clear Steve made it out OK, since he's shown in the first photos CBS shared for the Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 premiere. However, the logline for the 2019-2020 opening says "Five-0 says goodbye to one of their own." Goodbye? Is that misleading as an ominous statement, or should we be worried that Jerry or anyone else actually died from that gunshot? Even if no one died, how could this latest departure shake up the cast?

The Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 premiere is titled "Ua 'eha ka 'ili i ka maka o ka ihe," which means "The skin has been hurt by the point of the spear." CBS's synopsis for the September 27 episode reads, "A new ally helps McGarrett and Five-0 when mob bosses on the island are being targeted by an assassin. Also, Five-0 says goodbye to one of their own."

My childhood Northern Exposure crush Rob Morrow is guest-starring in the episode, but the new ally should be Arrow alum Katrina Law joining Hawaii Five-0 full-time as Quinn Liu. Quinn is a former Staff Sergeant with Army CID who was recently demoted for insubordination.

According to TVLine, after an explosive collision with Five-0 during a case involving veterans, Quinn becomes a loyal ally to the team. She's described as "sharp-tongued in several languages" with a deep understanding of military culture, a mysterious past, and a deft ability to match wits with McGarrett.

So that intel already showed that Steve would not be seriously harmed by any Season 9 finale gunshot, in case anyone thought he'd actually be killed off. Showrunner Peter M. Lenkov mentioned both Steve and Danny in his welcome message for Katrina in mid-August:

Cool tease, but there's no mention of Jerry, and he's not shown in the Season 10 photos. One of them is shown above, with McGarrett looking pensive. He's featured fighting in two other photos, with Katrina Law's Quinn shown looking -- shocked? -- in a couple of other images. No one else is featured. Here's one fighting photo:

CBS' Hawaii Five-0, Magnum P.I., And MacGyver Crossover May Really Happen

Hawaii Five-0 Season 10 begins Friday, September 27 at a new time, 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

A reboot that actually worked. That is rare these days. No, not reboots, they are all too common, but reboots actually being successful due to their quality, not just their cachet. The reboot in question is Hawaii Five-0, and the CBS police procedural is adding more actors to the already bulked up second season cast. Say hello -- oh sorry, aloha -- to these newbies.

The show recently added Lost alum (and Daniel Dae Kim's fellow castaway) Terry O'Quinn in a recurring role as an ex-Navy SEAL mentor to our lead, McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin), and all-around bad-ass (bad-boy) Tom Sizemore as a pain in the aforementioned ass Internal Affairs agent -- an arc that will open the sophomore season of the CBS show.

Lastly, well before getting to the brand new info anyway, the show had to bring in a new governor (you know, since last season ended with that crazy [spoiler]) so they hired Richard T. Jones to fill those now empty shoes. As TV Guide reported, "this new governor will be more conservative than Jameson and keep a tighter leash on McGarrett and his team."

One method of keeping this leash tight is bringing in your own member...hence the casting of Lauren German for the second season. TV Line announced the new addition, with Graham set to play a beautiful Homeland Security agent (aren't they all?) hand-picked by the new governor to join and keep tabs on McGarrett's team. They added that "German's character will not just help them fight crime, but also keep them in check on behalf of the Gov. And, as hinted above, she is poised to also serve as a potential love interest." Ah, love and crime in Hawaii, so pretty.

Hawaii Five-0 returns to CBS this fall, Mondays at 10 p.m. ET beginning September 19th, 2011.

During the network upfronts a few weeks ago one of the few new shows to get consistently good buzz was Hawaii Five-0, CBS's glossy remake of the old TV show that has Daniel Dae Kim freshly from the neighboring Lost set, Moonlight's Alex O'Loughlin, Battlestar Galactica's Grace Park, and basically all the police procedural goodness you could ask for in a beautiful tropical setting. It's hard to see how that formula could go wrong especially on procedural-friendly CBS, and now that the network has released a four-minute trailer to THR, you can see for yourself that it doesn't.

I watched this trailer not long after seeing the new A-Team clips, and both seem to have the same fun, adventurous, you-don't-wanna-miss-this vibe. Hawaii Five-0 doesn't seem to be reinventing television on any level-- not even with that prologue opening in South Korea for some reason-- but it does look shamelessly enjoyable. CBS is looking to set up camp in Hawaii just as Lost is leaving. But it's okay, because they're keeping a familiar face around. Daniel Dae Kim has been cast alongside Alex O'Loughlin in the network's remake of Hawaii Five-O, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The good news is that Five-O is a procedural action-crime drama, and CBS fans simply love those. If they named it CSI: Hawaii, it'd be a guaranteed hit, but I guess the network is feeling like taking some real risks next season.

They also seem bound and determined to make a star out of O'Loughlin. He starred in the short-lived vampire series Moonlight, which appears to have been just ahead of that particular craze, and failed again on this season's Three Rivers. Will the third time be the charm, or will Five-O sink?

O'Loughlin is certainly a likable enough fellow, and it's my understanding that he's rather easy on the eyes. The same can be said for Mr. Kim, who's been steaming up the islands already for more than five years now. With Lost wrapping this season, there's already going to be plenty of television equipment and space just lying around begging to be used for television. Rather than ship it all back to the mainland, perhaps ABC Studios would be willing to sell it to the production company behind the new Five-O.

And perhaps we'll be seeing the return of the action drama, after years of the more mundane and cerebral crime procedurals. This season, we've got FOX with both 24 and Human Target bringing the action, but other than that it's been a dry well for a long time. How long before we get Spencer for Hire, CHiPs and MacGuyver back in action as well?
