It’s a well-documented fact that the Baywatch movie cast really trained hard to get fit. The Rock's pretty much always fit, but amped things up for the movie. Zac Efron has most notably talked about going overboard to the point where he set unrealistic standards for himself. His co-star Alexandra Daddario also worked hard for her Baywatch body, and nine years later she’s still holding onto those abs.

Daddario is a well-known yogi and has partnered with Alo Yoga before while getting bikini fit. Whilst on Baywatch, she admitted to adding strength training into her routine to help those muscles pop. She’s kept up her deep core workouts in the time since, however, and showed off the work during an episode of White Lotus a few years later. Now, she’s sharing exactly how she’s kept fit with some deep core moves.

There's some glute work in there, but I mostly love she's doing a reverse crunch into a shoulder stand, which is great for isolation. These moves have been trendy on social media in recent years as people have moved away from the crunches and situps that dominated traditional workouts for years. With isolation exercises like these you can really hone in on either your upper or lower abs, and these aren't crazy fitness moves that only mavens could do. Anyone can try or work into what Daddario is doing here.

While spot targeting is a myth, and fat loss is always ultimately the best way to land a 6-pack, you do really need to be working out all abs and not just upper abs. This is a really good way to achieve that, and it’s nice to see Ms. Daddario still going hard with work outs years after her swim-forward film. Of course, she doesn’t need to worry about looking “supernaturally” fit these days, but wanting to stay in shape is never a bad goal, particularly for someone who spends a lot of time on camera as Daddario does.

The now 40-year-old actress (I know, time flies) and her ex Andrew Form had a kid back in the fall of 2024 before their split. Moms everywhere know getting back into shape afterward is no mean feat. It’s on brand that she’s sticking to her roots with yoga and pilates moves, and it’s nice to see her going about her workouts with intention. Plus, I'm always enthusiastic when celebrities share how they do it at the gym, even if her Baywatch co-star The Rock and others are sometimes reticent to do so. I’m just saying, more where this came from, please.

Alexandra Daddario has been famous for a long time, though she’s been honest about taking some Hollywood roles she probably “shouldn’t” have. For Daddario, the actress feels lucky she didn’t grow up with what she feels is that “onslaught” youngsters are dealing with these days. As part of a longer interview with the SAG-AFTRA Foundation, she also spoke about how hard it must be for those breaking in:

Starting in the industry when the Internet was still relatively new meant she could focus on one thing: The acting portion. Now, branding has become more complicated, and even she’s seen that as she’s switched up social tacts, become a mother, and weathered a public split from Andrew Form. Alexandra Daddario is always on her fashion A-game; however, it’s been a minute since we’ve seen her go full glam. Well, that all changed for AMC’s Upfronts, as she rocked a gorgeous backless dress. However, while the gown left me stunned, it was the jewelry that really distracted me.

Daddario has been making headlines this year, as she and Andrew Form broke up, and, in happier news, she turned 40. Now, she’s getting ready to get back on our screens with Mayfair Witches, and she let us all know that with this wonderful fashion moment for the AMC Upfronts. As you can see, this gorgeous black Brandon Maxwell dress features a very high neckline and a very low back, which creates a stunning juxtaposition. I’m also obsessed with the silver hardware at the back of it.

She complemented the lovely garment with a classy updo that let every part of the dress shine.

However, the other star of the show was jewelry. That’s because it perfectly goes with the gown and that silver hardware I mentioned on the back. So, let’s break it down. Daddario rocked two silver earrings on her right ear, and four silver earrings on her left ear. She was also wearing a dainty yet very sparkly silver diamond ring and a classy silver watch. All around, the jewels were stunning and topped off this look perfectly.

I’d also like to take a moment for her makeup. Keeping it simple, she had a light pink lip with an eye look that really brought out her gorgeous blues.

Now, don’t get me wrong, this is by no means Daddario’s first amazing fashion moment of the past few months. She was giving Carmen Sandiego in a red leather look back in February, and in late 2025, she left us stunned with her tennis fashion and her casual (yet classy) take on the corset trend.

However, this backless dress is one of Daddario’s first big glam looks for 2026, and it was all for the AMC Upfronts. For context, Season 3 of Mayfair Witches wrapped filming earlier this year, per TV Insider, so hopefully we’ll get some updates about its potential to be on the 2026 TV schedule soon.

Considering it’s part of the Anne Rice universe, it would be very cool to see Mayfair Witches' third season premiere not long after Lestat and Louis return for Season 3 of Interview with the Vampire (which is now called The Vampire Lestat) in June. However, that’s just a dream; we don’t know exactly when the show will return. But I do feel confident in saying that when the witches return, we’ll get even more glamorous outfits from Alexandra Daddario as she promotes her series.

It’s hard to believe we’re in the era where millennials are consistently hitting 40. Just a few years ago, I was flabbergasted when the cast of Harry Potter started having children. Now, Alexandra Daddario’s hit the milestone celebrity birthday, and the first thought I had was, “I just saw her in Baywatch.” Unfortunately, my own sense of time is wildly off-base, because that was actually nearly a decade ago.

So, I feel a little bit vindicated that I was unclear about how quickly time was passing.

Anyway, celebrities in general have the time and the means to keep up with personal care in ways many of us average folk do not. Forty also means something very different than it did decades ago, as other famous names can attest to. When Kim Kardashian turned 40, she rocked out with a bikini post. Anna Kendrick also turned 40 just last year, and celebrated with a sparkly mini dress. (Yes, I was equally shocked when she hit 40.) In comparison, my mom turned 40 and wore a pantsuit and got “over the hill” cards. Times have changed, and as it passes, the leading ladies in Hollywood are growing more and more timeless.

Ever since James Gunn and Peter Safran took the reins of the DC Universe, speculation about who will step into the next era of Wonder Woman has basically never stopped. With the new DCU firmly established with last year's Superman and the upcoming Supergirl, fans know a fresh Diana Prince is inevitable. Lately, the chatter has centered around Adria Arjona, but some are saying step over Arjona; we want Alexandra Daddario.

The DCU Wonder Woman And Latest Arjona Buzz

Adria Arjon's name has been floated in online discussions about Wonder Woman casting. But she’s far from the only actress fans have imagined wielding the Lasso of Truth. One name that’s popped up repeatedly over the years is Alexandra Daddario. Someone even asked her about it, and her comments were very exciting.

The Arjona speculation gained traction after online rumor accounts hinted she might be under consideration. With Gal Gadot’s run clearly tied to the now-retired DCEU, it makes sense that casting conversations are heating up, even if nothing official is underway.

That’s far from a confirmation, but it is clear the Baywatch star is open to the possibility of joining a new DC movie project.

Daddario didn’t specifically name Wonder Woman, but given how often her name surfaces in Diana fan-casts, the subtext is hard to ignore. She’s expressed genuine interest in being part of Gunn’s DC sandbox. And for fans who’ve envisioned her as the Amazon warrior for years, that enthusiasm matters.

It also makes sense why she keeps coming up. Between her franchise experience (Percy Jackson, San Andreas), her action chops, and the emotional depth she’s shown in projects like The White Lotus, she checks a lot of the Wonder Woman boxes: strength, vulnerability, and commanding presence.

For now, though, everything remains speculation. Arjona rumors are very loud, but Daddario is game. And James Gunn is, as always, focused on scripts first. Until an official announcement drops, the Wonder Woman debate will keep evolving. But at least in Daddario’s case, we know one thing: she’d happily take the call.

Now, a major detail of Daddario’s domestic life has been confirmed to the public, as the 39-year-old star is now back on the market. A representative for Daddario reveals that she and husband Andrew Form (57) are splitting up.

It’s been reported that Daddario formally filed for divorce from Form in New York after nearly four years of marriage. While reporting on the situation, TMZ didn’t provide as to why the pair – who’ve been separated – are deciding to end their marriage. The statement provided by the White Lotus alum’s rep, however, does provide some context regarding the nature of her and Form’s “decision”:

In 2021, Alexandra Daddario confirmed her relationship with Andrew Form, a film producer whose credits include The Purge, A Quiet Place and the 2025 Anaconda movie. Form and Daddario tied the knot in 2022. Daddario suffered a miscarriage at some point during the marriage though, in July 2024, she announced that she was pregnant. In October of that same year, Daddario gave birth to her first child, a baby boy (who’s now 15 months). Form also shares two kids – Julian (12) and Rowan (9) – with ex-wife Jordana Brewster.

Per what’s known about the timeline of the Daddario/Form relationship, the two met in 2021 during the days of the COVID lockdown. Daddario revealed they were both walking down the same street when they encountered each other, and that meet-cute turned into a dinner date. By July of that same year, the pair went public with their romance when they walked the red carpet for the premiere of The White Lotus.

Form and Daddario’s subsequent 2021 engagement made headlines, and there was seemingly much anticipation in the lead-up to their wedding. Those nuptials took place in New Orleans and, after the event, Daddario opened up about the decision to get married in the French Quarter venue. Apparently, she and Form “wanted it to be about music, drinking, and authentic New Orleans.” Daddario’s dress was also lauded by fans on social media.

Ahead of the birth of his first child, Daddario also provided updates on her pregnancy, which she jokingly referred to as a poorly kept secret. On a more serious note, given her own experience, the Percy Jackson alum also sent a message of advice for women who were worried about their bodies during pregnancies. At the same time, Daddario also got real about the trauma that can accompany a miscarriage.

It seems as though Alexandra Daddario and Andrew Form’s child will remain a joint priority in the aftermath of their eventual divorce. Hopefully, both Form and Daddario can individually move forward in a way that works best for them.

Look, there’s very little Alexandra Daddario can’t pull off when it comes to fashion, but if you’d told me she was about to casually channel Carmen Sandiego, I might’ve been skeptical. And yet, here we are. In a new social media post, Daddario is serving full-on “lady thief” and former spy energy in a red leather trench coat. And honestly, it works far better than it has any right to.

The image comes straight from TAG Heuer’s official Instagram account, where the luxury watch brand shared a striking shot of its house ambassador looking effortlessly cool and just mysterious enough. As noted in the post below, Daddario is wearing a blue TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph, paired with a glossy red trench coat that completely steals the spotlight. The caption talks about elegance and determination, but visually? This is pure ’90s Saturday morning cartoon nostalgia, and I need someone to greenlight this reboot immediately.

Daddario has delivered plenty of unforgettable fashion highlights over the years. From low-Cut belted dresses to her many sheer looks to even a bath towel, she knows exactly how to get people talking. But this time it’s all about the coat. Red leather is already a bold move, and this trench doubles down with sharp structure, a cinched waist, and just enough shine to feel cinematic. It’s dramatic without tipping into costume, which is exactly why the Carmen Sandiego comparison works. If this were a reboot, this is the look that says she’s smarter than everyone in the room, and already ten steps ahead.

For anyone who didn’t grow up in the ’90s or somehow missed the more recent Netflix reboot, Carmen Sandiego is a pop-culture icon disguised as an educational tool. She’s a globe-trotting master thief, endlessly elusive, impossibly stylish, and instantly recognizable in her signature red trench coat and matching hat. Initially created for the Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego? games, the character turned geography lessons into high-stakes adventures, casting Carmen as both the villain and the main attraction. She wasn’t a bad guy in the traditional sense so much as a clever antihero who stole for the challenge, which is precisely why generations of kids were obsessed with chasing her and secretly rooting for her at the same time.

That’s also why it feels wild that we still don’t have a proper live-action Carmen Sandiego movie. A film adaptation was announced back in 2011 with Jennifer Lopez attached, resurfaced again in 2018, and even reportedly reached the casting stage, but like Carmen herself, the project disappeared without a trace.

As flawless as Alexandra Daddario looks channeling that iconic red-coat energy, she probably isn’t the right fit to actually "be" Carmen Sandiego. One of the character’s defining elements has always been her identity as a Latina woman, a trait that has remained consistent across decades of games, television, and adaptations. Carmen’s look and mystique were partially inspired by Brazilian singer and actress Carmen Miranda, and even her name carries cultural weight, alluding to San Diego while grounding her in a distinctly Latin identity.

Still, it feels like the Baywatch star is tapping into the same visual language, and I'm loving the vibe. Think of it less as casting wish fulfillment and more as a reminder that Carmen Sandiego remains a perfect candidate for a long-overdue live-action take. Seriously, Hollywood, let’s make this happen already, and hey, there’s always room for Daddario as a stylish rival, ally, or the agent trying (and failing) to catch the world’s greatest thief.

The new post shows Daddario at an acupuncture appointment, following her one-year-old baby, who was actually born on Halloween last year, staying hydrated and in the fifth slide enjoying time in an outdoor tub. No, I didn’t forget the image with the “blood remover” and “eye makeup remover” bags.

They must have to do with the fact that Daddario has been shooting Mayfair Witches Season 3 lately. In April, Mayfair Witches was renewed for a third season, and production started this fall with it set to wrap in February 2026. The first two seasons are currently available to stream with a Netflix subscription.

What Is The Outdoor Tub Trend?

Daddario joined a growing number of celebrities who have either enjoyed remote vacations by getting wrinkled fingers and toes in outdoor tubs, or actually have them installed on their properties. We don’t know if Daddario was sitting in her own tub or not, but she looked right at home in the circular bath in her “self care week” post.

Other examples include MCU actress Hayley Atwell getting bubbly in an outdoor tub once in Devon, England, and Jennifer Aniston actually having a marble outdoor bath in her Los Angeles home surrounded by some gorgeous greenery (per Home and Gardens). Take a look:

Another celebrity who has not one but two in their home is Twilight’s Nikki Reed. The actress, who’s been married to Vampire Diaries star Ian Somerhalder for a decade, shared that taking a bath outside has become one of her “favorite things in the world” a couple of years ago in a reel that showed her setup that includes a beautiful mountain view for her to gaze upon.

Considering many of us have to worry about neighbors and closer quarters, an outdoor tub isn’t very practical for most of us, but it’s lovely to live vicariously through these celebs. Between being a new mama, and being the star of Mayfair Witches, and a number of upcoming 2026 movies like the Hershey biopic, it’s great to see Daddario’s self care inspo.

Over teh years a number of HBO shows got the world talking, and Mike White's The White Lotus is definitely in that category. The Emmy-winning series (which is streaming with a HBO Max subscription) is a quintessential water cooler show, starting back with its first season. That entry featured Alexandra Daddario as Rachel, and she recently mused about what happened to her character since we last saw her.

The White Lotus' Season 1 finale featured a surprising character death, but also featured a not-so-happy ending for Rachel. After struggling with her new husband (Jake Lacy) all season, she ultimately decided to stay with him. While speaking with People, Daddario spoke about what she thinks happened with that couple, saying:

Ouch. Throughout the whole season Rachel tried to get her husband Shane to value her perspective, including her career ambitions. Daddario is still bummed by her character's ending, and is left wondering what came of the couple in the years since. Have they had kids? Did Rachel abandon her journalistic dreams entirely? There's a ton of question and possibilities if/when the Baywatch actress returns to the HBO series.

The White Lotus is an anthology series, with a new location and new characters introduced each season. But Mike White has brought back returning players as well; Season 2 also featured Jennifer Coolidge's Tanya Mcquoid while Season 3 saw the return of Natasha Rothwell's Belinda.

As such, seeing Daddario return as Rachel doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities. The actress seems interested in finding out what happened to her character, saying:

Same, though. I was really hoping that Rachel would leave Shane while watching The White Lotus Season 1. But ultimately she chose to stay with her husband, including all the comfort that comes with his money. I'd assume she'd be pretty miserable in that relationship, but who knows? Maybe Mike White would flip the script and find find her happier than ever.

Fans are wondering about where The White Lotus Season 4 might be set, given that we are in a different location every season. Daddario was asked where she'd like to return as Rachel, and said:

We'll just have to wait and see what location Mike White is focusing his series on next, and if he'll be bringing back any returning characters. The show is wildly popular, so I assume that plenty of actors would like to pop back up, including Alexandra Daddario.

The first three season of The White Lotus are streaming now on HBO Max. We'll have to wait and see when it returns, but fans are hoping the next season will be part of the 2026 TV schedule.

Throughout her career, Alexandra Daddario has had a wide range of roles on the big and small screens. She has starred in hit HBO shows, The White Lotus and True Detective, and she can currently be seen in AMC’s Mayfair Witches, which aired Season 2 on the 2025 TV schedule earlier this year. Unfortunately, due to some of these roles, though, Daddario has had to debunk a pretty outrageous rumor. People have said she’s a bad actress, but earlier this year, she clapped back at haters, saying that she’s done projects that “don’t showcase me in the way that I should be showcased.”

Obviously, not every role can be a winner, but Daddario made sure to mention that she’s been nominated for an Emmy for The White Lotus, and that wouldn’t have happened if she were a bad actress. She just loves acting so much that sometimes she takes on roles in projects that aren't the best.

These days, Daddario is staying as busy as ever. She is set to return as Rowan Fielding in the upcoming third season of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches. She also has numerous projects in the works on top of Hershey, including the romance dramedy Happy Life with Ike Barinholtz. With her extensive filmography, she is not slowing down any time soon, regardless of whether a project fails. And it’s going to be exciting to see what else she works on, no matter how well it does.

With the success of Superman on the big screen, the new DC Universe under James Gunn is off to a solid start. While there’s a lot we don’t know about what upcoming DC movies we will see, and when we will see them, some things are all but certain, like the fact that we will see other top-tier DC heroes, like Wonder Woman, at some point.

Of course, to get Wonder Woman on the big screen, somebody has to play that role. Many names have been suggested as potential future Amazons, including Ana de Armas and Adria Adjorna, but one name that has been at the top of fancast lists for a long time is Alexandra Daddario. Speaking with ScreenRant, the actress says she would love to work with James Gunn if the opportunity presented itself, but apparently, she had no idea people were campaigning on her behalf for the role. On the one hand, I wouldn’t expect Alexandra Daddario to have the time to scroll through social media to see what everybody is saying about her. That said, with the sheer volume of Daddario as Wonder Woman fan art that is out in the world, I’m surprised some friend of hers hasn’t shown her at least some of it.

As Rosario Dawson’s casting as Ahsoka Tano has shown us, when fan interest in a certain actress grows to a particular point, studios notice. It doesn’t mean the casting will actually happen, but while Alexandra Daddario may not have known that fans want to see her as Wonder Woman, it’s unlikely that James Gunn doesn’t know it.

From the very beginning of Gunn’s DCU, we knew a Wonder Woman-related project, a prequel series called Paradise Lost, was in the plan. Since then, Gunn has revealed that a Wonder Woman-specific project is in early development. As that happens, we can guess we’ll begin to see even more fan art, even if Daddario doesn’t actually see any of it, though she says she appreciates the support. She also said…

Daddario stops short of saying she wants to be Wonder Woman or that she would consider the role if it were offered to her, but she also doesn't say she has no interest.

James Gunn has made it clear that the casting conversation doesn’t start until the script is done, so, likely, he couldn’t tell you who the right actress to play Wonder Woman could even be. It feels like a safe bet, however, that Alexandra Daddario’s name will at least be mentioned, and if anybody has any questions about how she might look in the role, just ask the internet. James Gunn has said the next Wonder Woman movie is being written and it’s currently a “priority” at DC Studios, but the big question on everyone’s minds is which actress will follow Gal Gadot as Diana Prince. There are a lot of fan favorites out there, but the passion for Alexandra Daddario to take on the role has been all over the internet for years through Wonder Woman fan art because she has such a striking resemblance to the comic book character.

Funny enough, Daddario has been part of the DC world before as the voice of Lois Lane in Superman: Man Of Tomorrow and the Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths trilogy, but we’ll have to wait and see if she ends up being in the official mix for the role of Wonder Woman in the new DC Universe.

But, The Actress Is Booked For A Horror Movie Filming Early 2026

While the fancasting continues, Daddario just found her next role in one of the latest newly-announced upcoming horror movies. She’s set to be in a movie called Inground with Star Trek’s John Cho, per Deadline, which will be produced by Ridley Scott. The movie is said to be about a recently divorced father who decided to try to reconnect with his young son by building a swimming pool in his backyard for them both to enjoy. However, as the logline reads “what begins as an exciting project turns into a terrifying nightmare.”

The report doesn’t reveal Daddario’s role, but the movie is apparently going to start filming in March of 2026, with director Aaron Katz helming from a script by American Horror Story writer Dan Dworkin. It sounds like a fun project for Daddario, who has recently been a regular in the genre, most notably as the star of Mayfair Witches for AMC.

The 39-year-old actress is also in the upcoming biopic about the Hershey chocolate founder and his wife, where Daddario will play Kitty Hershey alongside Finn Wittrock’s Milton S. Hershey. The movie from Mean Girls director Mark Waters is likely to be among the 2026 movie releases. As Daddario continues to be a popular name in Hollywood, we do wonder if she really will have a shot at the DCU (should she want the role) after she’s long been a popular choice for Wonder Woman among the people.

It comes as no surprise that Alexandra Daddario has continued to be a fashionista this summer. Maybe not to the level of Mayfair Witches Season 2 finale that aired earlier this year on the 2025 TV guide, but you get my point.

Roasters aside, what I’d really like to know is: could this dainty faux dessert be an incredibly small nod to the coming Hershey biopic Daddario is in? And could it be a preamble to some decadent method dressing coming soon? It’s still very early to tell but with the film in post-production and slated spot on the 2026 movie calendar, it could be! If it is, you know I’ll be sat with whatever themed popcorn bucket they put out there.

She stole the show with her monologue in the final episode of that show, while continuing to dominate New York society in the 1880s in The Gilded Age.

Steve Buscemi's first appearance on HBO came when he joined the cast of The Sopranos as Tony Blundetto, Tony Soprano's cousin, in Season 5 of the legendary peak TV-era show. He wasn't on the show long, but a couple of years later, he played a much bigger role on Boardwalk Empire. He played the fictional mob boss Nucky Thompson in the period piece created by Sopranos writer Terrance Winter.

Evan Rachel Wood - True Blood And Westworld

Evan Rachel Wood started her career as a talented child actor and made her first appearance on HBO as a recurring character in True Blood. She made an even bigger splash on the network as one of the main characters in Westworld. Wood also appeared in the miniseries Mildred Pierce on HBO.

Alexander Skarsgård is a true HBO regular. His first show for the network, the limited series Generation Kill, aired in 2008 and he returned to the network that same year as a series regular in the vampire hit True Blood. Sydney Sweeney burst onto the scene alongside her castmates in the teen drama Euphoria on HBO in 2019 and in 2022, she also appeared in Season 1 of The White Lotus. She earned not one, but two Emmy nominations that year, one for each show.

Edie Falco - Oz And The Sopranos

The HBO show Oz was an early entry in the "peak TV era" from the network, running for six seasons in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The cast of Oz was stacked and included Edie Falco as Officer Diane Whittlesey. That isn't the show she is most famous for on the network, of course. As Falco's time was coming to a close, she landed the role of a lifetime as Carmela Soprano in The Sopranos, and her amazing performances earned her three Emmy awards.

Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish in Game of Thrones is one of the great TV villains of all time, and the character was played brilliantly by Aidan Gillen. It wasn't Gillen's first major role on HBO, as that came a few years earlier when he played the ambitious politician Tommy Carcetti on the final three seasons of The Wire.

Cynthia Nixon - And Just Like That And The Gilded Age

itsCynthia Nixon has been a staple on HBO for decades now, starring as Miranda Hobbes in And Just Like That... and it's predecessor. She's also one of the stars of the incredible period drama The Gilded Age as the spinster-turned-wealthy widow Ada Forte, née Brook.

Michiel Huisman - Game Of Thrones And Treme

Treme, which ran for four seasons on HBO, had a whole host of actors who were HBO regulars. Michiel Huisman, who played the musician only known as "Sonny" on the New Orleans-based show, was also starring in a little show called Game of Thrones at the same time on the network, playing Daario Naharis.

Michael K. Williams - The Wire And Boardwalk Empire

The late Michael K. Williams left behind an incredible legacy at HBO. He was, of course, one of the most incredible TV characters of all time as Omar Little on The Wire, and he followed that up with a great turn as a gangster in 1920s New Jersey in Boardwalk Empire. Those weren't his only appearances on the network. He popped up in a one-off scene on The Sopranos in 2001, then later in the miniseries The Night Of. His final television credit before his tragic death was on the HBO show Lovecraft Country.

Clarke Peters - The Wire And Treme

It's hard to believe that The Wire is one of those shows that never won an Emmy. That goes double for the excellent cast, including the great Clarke Peters, who played Lester Freamon in all five seasons of the show. Like some of his co-stars on the show, he also appeared in Treme on HBO.

Jeffrey Wright is one of the best actors of his generation, and he's had an opportunity to show off just how great he is in multiple HBO shows. Later, he had a recurring role on Boardwalk Empire, before his fantastic turn on Westworld, for which he was nominated for three more Emmys, but sadly didn't win one. In 2025, he reprised his voice role in The Last of Us video game in the HBO adaptation.

Jamie-Lynn Sigler - The Sopranos And Entourage

Jamie-Lynn Sigler occupies an interesting spot here. Of course, she's best known for her role as Meadow Soprano on The Sopranos. Her next role on HBO came in a role that was a fictionalized version of herself dating Turtle in Entourage.

Walton Goggins has been one of the hardest-working actors in Hollywood for many years, and in 2025, he really upped his profile with his fantastic performance in Season 3 of The White Lotus. It was his third major show on HBO after Vice Principals and The Righteous Gemstones.

Jim True-Frost - The Wire And Treme

Jim True-Frost's character in The Wire has one of the most interesting character arcs on a show full of great arcs. His performance as Roland Pryzbylewski was, like so many others on the show, nothing short of excellent. Like others on The Wire, True-Frost also starred in Treme. He even had a cameo in Boardwalk Empire as legendary lawman Eliot Ness.

Kim Dickens - Deadwood And Treme

Kim Dickens has a stellar television resume, and two jewels on that CV are both HBO shows. First, she was one of the main characters, Joanie, in Deadwood. Later, she starred on Treme.

The original cast of Deadwood was a bunch of heavyweights, including John Hawkes, who played Sol throughout the run of the show. When it comes to celebrity fashion, few people can pull off outfits as effortlessly as Alexandra Daddario. We’re talking about the woman who made this melted marshmallow dress look good. As we wait for more information on what she has coming down the pipeline acting-wise, Daddario has been showing off some amazing looks (as per usual), and her latest social media post includes a low-cut belted dress that’s just screaming ‘70s goddess.

Don’t get me wrong — I’m here all day for low-cut business suit (and hot new hairdo) at the top of Alexandra Daddario’s latest Instagram photo dump, but scroll one slide over to outfit No. 2 to see the witchy actress’ flowy, ‘70s-era vibes:

The blue and white dress features a maroon floral pattern, with fabric flowing off her shoulders like wings. A matching blue belt shows off her cinched waist with a bejeweled buckle, and there is no shortage of cleavage, with the neckline dipping all the way down to her midsection.

Alexandra Daddario sports no jewelry or other accessories, which is probably fine seeing as she appears to be standing in someone’s front yard in front of a garage and old pickup truck. Why such a fancy dress in a seemingly casual atmosphere? Your guess is as good as mine, but you’ll hear no complaints from me.

Her post is captioned “Some things I ❤️,” so the rest of the photos are a mishmash of jewelry, artwork, clothing and even a horse. Clearly if we’re talking about things Alexandra Daddario loves, she’s going to include her son, who was born on Halloween 2024. The child — Daddario’s first with husband Andrew Form — is seen playing in the sweetest little ball pit befitting a baby with such a gorgeous nursery.

The White Lotus actress donned another adorable belted dress on the seventh slide of her post. This one gives more ‘50s diner than disco goddess, but it has a similar cut, sporting a belt in the middle around her small waist. The red stitched paisley patterns along the hem of the skirt give the impression of florals, which are seen often in different iterations through Alexandra Daddario’s photos.

Flowers may be her aesthetic for this summer, but we’ve also seen quite a few sheer looks from her over the past few months. Just weeks after giving birth to her son, Alexandra Daddario sported a little black dress of see-through plaid with a black bodysuit underneath. She sported a similar bodysuit under a sparkling sheer maxi dress at a Formula 1 event in March.

This was followed a couple of months later by possibly “the most beautiful dress I’ve ever seen,” which was a lacy white number over matching bra and panties. Honestly, this woman never misses.

In addition to Season 3 of her upcoming horror show on AMC, Mayfair Witches, the actress is also set to star in the biographical drama Hershey, which will be part of the 2026 movie calendar. In it she plays Kitty Hershey, wife of Milton, in the story of the famed chocolate company. Finn Wittrock will play her husband with others in the cast including Heléne Yorke, Alan Ruck and Richard Kind.

Filming may have wrapped, but she did capture her time on set by posting a photo of herself twirling under a double rainbow in a sundress perfect for June.

In between filming, Alexandra Daddario has been living it up in the Hamptons this summer, sharing photos of beach fun, piano playing with her new little one and more. For most of that time, she showed off her traditionally long locks. However, at an event in recent weeks, she suited up for a look that was half business and half party, but honestly I couldn’t tear my eyes away from her new hairdo.

It’s a look I can only describe as giving chic mom. Alexandra Daddario opted to go sans blouse and pair a blue pinstriped suit with large statement earrings and her newly shorn locks. Listen, it may be a little warm in certain parts of the country for some of us to be wearing a suit like this right now, but the Hamptons has fairer weather, and it’s Daddario’s celebrity fashion look that’s heating up the space, here.

The actress was attending the Brunello Cucinelli Hamptons Dinner held at the Wölffer Estate Stables with her husband Andrew Form in tow when she debuted the new hairdo and look. Daddario and Form have been married since 2022, and have been photographed at more events since their marriage, but it's still a treat to see the two arm in arm at the Sagaponack event. (Riccardo Stefanelli is also pictured.)

The actress previously also showed video of the process of shearing off the long hair she’s sported for as long as I can remember, remarking at the time that she “Needed a change!!” This isn't the first time Daddario has showed off the process of getting ready, but I never mind the inside look.

I can confirm that change looks good on the Mayfair Witches star. Speaking of the latter, Rowan has had long hair during the course of the AMC series. But it's also worth pointing out the series has made changes from the Anne Rice books, and Rowan's hair is already one of them, so I think she could pull off the short hair easily, too.

While the show has been renewed for Season 3, it’s not actually expected to begin filming until 2026. (The series was renewed as part of a swell of 2025 cancelations and renewals back in April.) I’m interested to see if Rowan has a new look in the episodes hitting the upcoming TV schedule or if she’ll spend the next few months re-growing out her hair.

Alexandra Daddario has been known to pull off some astonishing fashion moments on social media, but just as often, it seems her followers are treated to the gorgeous views from wherever her travels have taken her. The pics appear to come from the set of Hershey, the Milton Hershey biopic that won’t make it in time for the 2025 movie calendar but is expected to come out in 2026. The film about the family who started a chocolate empire was filmed primarily in Pennsylvania (naturally), and with Alexandra Daddario sending her thanks to “everyone and to Pittsburgh,” it would seem that the movie has wrapped, at least in that location.

I love that the actress is bringing the summer vibes, rain or shine, in the sweet, white dress. Honestly, the whole thing is giving Mary Poppins in the chalk drawings, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see four penguins in bowties come tap-dancing across the lot.

Alexandra Daddario’s projects tend to target an adult audience, from the supernatural horror drama Mayfair Witches to The White Lotus (which included her amazing bikini scene with Sydney Sweeney) and True Detective (with her infamous nude scene).

Still, does this not prove that the Disney princess route should totally be an option for her — I mean, have you seen the pics from her 2022 New Orleans wedding?

Whether or not she’ll ever be the singing, talking-to-animals princess in an upcoming Disney live-action remake, we know that’s not her path right now, as she’s currently going the biopic route. Alexandra Daddario plays Kitty Hershey in the eponymous movie, wife of Milton Hershey (Finn Wittrock), in the story of the famous chocolate company’s history. The film features a pretty impressive cast, as joining the leading couple are Alan Ruck, Richard Kind, David Costabile and Heléne Yorke.

Meanwhile, her AMC show Mayfair Witches was renewed for a third season following its finale this March on the 2025 TV schedule.

While we wait for release dates for her big and small screen endeavors, I’m happy to enjoy the views she continues to share on social media — be they of the fashion or nature milieu. The actress can rock a sheer moment as well as anyone, and she did just that in one of “the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever seen” back in May. There was also the gorgeous multicolored sheer cottagecore and the sparkling black see-through numbers she’s sported in the months since giving birth to her son on Halloween.

I have to say, though, no matter what fashion choice she makes next, I just hope she keeps bringing the vibes of twirling around beneath the rainbows.

Alexandra Daddario has been turning heads for nearly as long as I’ve been working on the Internet, but she took a break from celebrity fashion for a bit after she and husband Andrew Form welcomed their little one around Halloween this past year. She took a bit of a break from the limelight afterward, but I am pleased to report she’s back on the fashion scene in a stunning dress that I agree is among “the most beautiful” I’ve seen.

Daddario has been partnered with Dior since 2023, when she signed on to be an ambassador for the notable high-end fashion brand. She reps both the lovely clothes from the brand, as well as the La Collection Privée fragrance collection, so while we can’t tell how the actress smelled from this pics, there’s every reason to believe it was rather fragrant. The Dior event was held in Rome at the Villa Albani Torlonia. Natalie Portman, Rosamund Pike and more were in attendance. Chiffon, lace and other sheer materials certainly seemed to be the dress code of the night.

Ethereal was certainly the feel the celebrities in attendance seemed to be going for, but it may have been a bit chilly out, too. Natalie Portman was seen with a blazer on over her gorgeous-but-whispy dress, and Daddario and others were seen with umbrellas.

The San Andreas actress shared a post to social media with some of her favorite looks of the night, gushing they were among "the most beautiful" she'd ever seen.

To note: This isn't the first time Alexandra Daddario has turned heads for stunning fashion. A favorite of mine was her confectionary cotton candy dress. But she also turned heads at an F1 event earlier in 2025, and there was recently that time she and Brie Larson rocked the same dress to the same event. Insofar as her taste in sheer, that was there before it was on trend on red carpets, as she's recalled the dress she wore when she landed her Emmy nomination.

I have to agree with Daddario's take on the event. Despite the rain, everything looked pretty and in place, and I'm excited to follow the actress on her next Dior adventure, whenever and wherever it takes her.

As we look forward to Alexandra Daddario being part of the 2025 movie calendar with her first film in years, of course the brunette beauty is going to be on a magazine or two. The 39-year-old is on the cover of Hamptons Magazine, and her looks are giving cottagecore queen.

As of late, Daddario has been more well known for wearing black sheer dresses, including the time she wore a gorgeous one just weeks after welcoming her baby’s birth on Halloween. Her latest shoot is all about bright colors and romantic silhouettes. Check it out:

There’s so many amazing looks here, but the one I want to talk about is on the third slide. You know, the sheer one with ruffles galore and multicolored lace? It’s everything to me. Sure, I love the more classic dress in the second slide with a neutral beige tulle material, her fun polka dot fringe white dress and the blue cotton candy dress she’s teased before, but there’s something so airy and unique about the ruffle dress. She looks like a fairy and princess all at once as the photo has her posing with dessert.

If you love the look as much as I do, the first thing you’re going to do is try and find it, but don’t worry I’ve done some research myself. While, as expected, I can't find the exact dress readily available online as most dresses in magazines go, I did find a couple of dresses that highlight the trends she’s embodying.

As you may be aware of, sheer looks have been all the rage for a while, especially among Hollywood stars (like Kristen Stewart’s recent pink Cannes look). But Daddario’s dress, which was paired with silver-accented accessories with her headband and cream heels, adds the layer of ruffles and lace to the equation. I had no idea all these ideas would work together, but it feels both bohemian and totally comfy. Check out these retail dresses with all these elements:

Anyways, Alexandra Daddario has a lot on the way, including a comedy called A Tree Fell in the Woods with Josh Gad, Jen Tullock, Ashley Park and Daveed Diggs coming this June. It’s about four adults whose relationships take a turn when a tree unexpectedly falls in the woods. Next year, she’ll play Kitty Hershey alongside Finn Wittrock’s Milton Hershey in Mark Waters’ Hershey, a movie literally about the chocolate company. And where there’s Daddario projects to promote, there will be more fashion inspo!

Last Christmas we got quite the gift when Hallmark partnered with the NFL for Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, which was inspired by (but 100% unrelated to) Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s relationship. This season, I’m really looking forward to the sequel that’s coming to the Hallmark movie schedule, which will highlight a new team and characters and feature a new celebrity couple as its muse. The cast for A Bills Love Story has been revealed, and who knew Alexandra Daddario had a brother?

Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story will hit the 2025 TV schedule as part of Hallmark’s Countdown to Christmas, with Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario playing the romantic leads Morgan Quinn and Gabe DeLuca, respectively, per People. They introduced themselves by throwing around a football on Hallmark’s YouTube channel:

Well, hello there, Matthew Daddario. I’m sorry to say that this is the first time I’m realizing The White Lotus and Mayfair Witches star Alexandra Daddario has a little brother who acts as well! Of course, this won’t be news to fans of Shadowhunters, who watched the 37-year-old portray Alec Lightwood on the Freeform supernatural teen drama.

Matthew Daddario has also appeared in movies like Cabin Fever and on TV series like Why Women Kill Season 2 (available with a Paramount+ subscription). His co-star Holland Roden has appeared in several Hallmark movies over the past few years, including the 2024 Countdown to Christmas offering Five Gold Rings, but this appears to be Daddario’s debut on the network.

In Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, they’ll be joined by Tony Danza, Tracy Pollan, Steve Schirripa, Caroline Aaron and more in the film about two families whose friendship is rooted in the cherished traditions of their team. While A Chiefs Love Story centered around a magic hat, the sequel will involve a mysterious benefactor, with Bills Mafia contributing to uncovering their identity.

Of course, there will be a love story as well. Morgan and Gabe are lifelong friends, though Matthew Daddario’s character has always wanted to be more. It seems like both parties’ feelings may shift as they work together to pull off a big Christmas surprise for her Uncle Tommy (Tony Danza).

Just like Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid appeared in A Chiefs Love Story, along with several of his players, Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott is among the cast members in the Holiday Touchdown sequel. He’ll be joined by Damar Hamlin, who fans nationwide became invested in after the Bills safety suffered a cardiac event during a 2023 game and had to be resuscitated on the field, as well as running back Ray Davis, Bills legend Jim Kelly and many others.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce seemed to be the impetus behind A Chiefs Love Story, and Buffalo Bills fans have had their own headline-making romance to follow in quarterback Josh Allen and Sinners actress Hailee Steinfeld. The couple started dating in Spring 2023, with Allen proposing just under two years later, ahead of this season’s playoffs (though Steinfeld had already guessed his snap count).

We’ll have to wait to see if either member of this real-life couple makes a cameo in Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story alongside Alexandra Daddario’s brother when the 2025 Countdown to Christmas kicks off on Hallmark.

We are dangerously close to what the school kids would call “summer break” and celebrities are already busting out their fair weather costumes. For Kim Kardashian, that meant a teeny-weeny black bikini, but in the case of Alexandra Daddario, I did not have a dress shaped like cotton candy on my bingo card. Nor did I expect a pic with Martha Stewart.

Ms. Daddario shared a recent post where she waxed poetic about recent travels (including encounters with cows whilst on a road trip). The actress often shares quick spotlights into her life, and her latest post is no exception, as her fans can see her checking out a rollercoaster, looking out a city window, trying out new clothes and paint colors, and even hobnobbing with Martha Stewart at an event for NYC's Second Chance Rescue.

Finally, we see her in heels and a cotton candy-shaped dress that’s both adorable and makes me question how comfortable she could possibly be in one fell swoop. Take a look.

The post comes just a few months after Alexandra Daddario and her partner Andrew Form seemingly left Los Angeles for New York. The actress recently opened up about the move. She didn’t disclose the date for her big cross country jaunt, though she put her LA home on the market back in August of 2024, selling it for $2.9 million in November of last year. That was shortly after she and her partner celebrated the birth of their little one on Halloween.

She told Vogue she’s spent the last few months “falling in love” with the city again.

Though it’s worth noting Daddario was originally a born and raised New York resident before moving out to Los Angeles for her acting career, her latest post seems to be a reflection of the changes coming down the pipeline in her life. She's not the only celebrity to leave Los Angeles and head closer to home in recent years either, joining the likes of Florence Pugh (who lives in London now) and Chris Hemsworth (who has discussed why he left LA for his native Australia).

While New York may be her new home base, it should be noted she’ll need to return to New Orleans while she shoots Mayfair Witches Season 3, after AMC confirmed the renewal was coming down the pipeline amidst a slew of 2025 cancelations. Hopefully that will mean more traveling, and more fun posts (with or without cows).

Along with her thriving acting career, in recent years Alexandra Daddario has been a bit of an events maven, and has acted as a brand ambassador, most recently for Tag Heuer. In 2024, she took a bit of a break to celebrate the birth of her first child with husband Andrew Form. Now, thanks to her partnership with the watch company, she’s back in action. This week, she headed to a Formula 1 event in Australia, first rocking a Senna t-shirt (as in Ayrton Senna, who died in a crash in 1994) and later switching to a gorgeous black sparkling gown, with a matching watch, of course.

I don’t think I expected “sparkling” to be on the list of spring trends, as it normally feels like a style celebs and normal folks alike enjoy busting out around the holidays. However, Daddario isn’t the first actress to wear a sparkling gown in recent weeks. They've been everywhere.

Awards season was chock full of them. Millie Bobby Brown wore a ruby red dress that turned heads just this month at the Electric State premiere. And Rosie Huntington-Whiteley donned a similar number for Paris Fashion week, also this month. Here’s Daddario’s take on the viral look.

Her pictures of the gown she wore for Tag Heuer at the Melbourne-based Australian Grand Prix F1 event don’t fully do the sparkling, sheer gown justice. There’s a black bodysuit underneath, but the skin-hugging fabric also looked stunning on the carpet for the event on March 14th. You can take a better look in the professional carpet photo, below.

Sheer is something of a signature for the actress, but she’s been wearing less of it of late. She admitted last year it took her a “long time to get comfortable” with who she is as a fashionista, but these days she likes to “embrace” what she “looks great in.” She’s also changed her takes on fashion during certain periods, particularly as she became a mom. But some of her best celebrity fashion moments have been in sheer dresses -- and specifically for her Tag Heuer partnership.

Daddario announced the birth of her baby on Halloween, so she’s had a few months to step back and be a little more out of the spotlight, presumably as she adjusted to life with a little one. Still, I think it’s cool she’s so confident getting out on the town and wearing form-fitting gowns already. I dunno if I would have had it in me, but she honestly looks great. And with another season of Mayfair Witches coming down the pipeline, I can’t wait to see what the actress is wearing on the red carpet next.

We’re just a few months away from the big screen debut of the new DC Universe with James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie. There’s obviously a lot of excitement surrounding the film and David Corenswet’s debut as the Man of Steel, but many fans are also already looking toward the future. At some point, we’re going to get a new DCU Batman and Wonder Woman, and an excellent piece of fan art has some solid suggestions in the form of Alexandra Daddario and Jensen Ackles.

A graphic designer on Instagram has taken the first official look at Corensewet’s Superman and combined it with his own members of the classic DC trinity, including Alexandra Daddario as Wonder Woman and Jensen Ackles as Batman. As ideas go, it’s certainly not the worst one. Check it out.

Jensen Ackles already has a strong connection to the Batman character, as he’s voiced Batman/Bruce Wayne in multiple DC animated projects over the years. He also has a bit of live-action superhero experience from his time on The Boys. As a result quite a few fans are in favor of the idea of him becoming the DCU’s Batman.

Alexandra Daddario has her own connection to DC animation, though she’s previously voiced Lois Lane, not Wonder Woman. Still, there’s no argument that she doesn’t look the part in the art here. At this point, there are no official plans, that we’re aware of for Wonder Woman to join the DCU. While it’s all but certain that will happen eventually, there’s no way to even guess who could play the role.

Batman is a bit of a different story. A Batman movie for the DCU, not to be confused with Matt Reeves Batman movies starring Robert Pattinson, has been announced. The Brave and the Bold will be directed by Andy Muschietti. It will follow Batman and also include the first screen adaptation of Robin in years, with the sidekick being Damian Wayne, Batman's son in the comics.

It's an exciting project, however, no release date for the film has ever been given and according to the director himself, the process has been slow, so there’s no telling when the film will actually get underway or even if somebody like Jensen Ackles is even close to the sort of actor the movie will want for the version of Batman the story will need.

It’s impossible to know when a moment like this might actually happen in the DCU, or who, other than David Corenswet, will be part of it when it does. However, it seems all but certain we will get this moment on screen eventually, assuming that James Gunn’s vision of the DCU is successful enough to make it that far.

Alexandra Daddario is a big star, and like most big stars, wild rumors about her have spread on the internet. However, when asked if there is an “outrageous” rumor she can’t escape, she revealed a troublesome professional one that she bluntly debunked.

Now, you might expect this “outrageous” rumor to be about Daddario and her husband. Or maybe she might have revealed something that was speculated when she had her baby last fall. However, when Elle asked her to reveal “the most outrageous rumor [she’d] heard about [herself] that won’t go away,” she said:

First of all, let’s put this rumor to bed right now. As Daddario clearly stated, she’s not a bad actress; in fact, she's a really good one. Her 2022 Emmy nomination for her role in The White Lotus’ Season 1 cast is proof. However, there’s plenty more evidence.

From True Detective to The White Lotus (both can be watched with a Max subscription) to Mayfair Witches (which is currently airing on the 2025 TV schedule), she has been part of some seriously impressive projects that have shown off her skill and range as a performer. Plus, that Emmy nod is also a great signifier of her talent.

Sadly, though, as Daddario admitted, people might think she’s a bad actress because she’s been part of a few projects that weren’t critically acclaimed. For example, the reviews for 2017’s Baywatch were pretty terrible as it's 18% on Rotten Tomatoes shows, and that film is still brought up frequently when people talk about the actress. The Percy Jackson movies also weren’t met with the best reactions, which led to the franchise going unfinished. However, just about every actor has items in their filmography like that.

It’s an inevitable fact that some movies and shows flop despite having an excellent cast and tons of potential. Most of the time, a project's lack of success does not mean the actors in them are bad, it just means – as Daddario said – the project didn’t “showcase [them] in the way that [they] should be showcased.” It's not just actors who make a film or TV show good, the director, writer, and whole bunch of other folks help make a project successful, too.

Thankfully, the Mayfair Witches star has plenty of projects that do show off her skills as a performer and prove that she is not a bad actress. So, with that out of the way, let’s forget about this terrible rumor and let Alexandra Daddario live her best life as the great actor we know her to be.

While we are getting into the thick of scheduled awards shows and other major Hollywood events starting to amp up for the year, there have been plenty of stars getting ready. Among those who are gearing up for nights out is Alexandra Daddario. The actress has seemed booked and busy, and between becoming a parent as part of Daddario relationship journey with partner Andrew Form to doing press for Mayfair Witches, she’s no stranger to a night out of any kind. While she may be a master of getting ready for an event, not all of her practices are for beginners, especially the way she has to sit to make her hair look so great.

As mentioned, The White Lotus alum is a seasoned vet when preparing for parties. Whether it’s for a Mayfair Witches function during our 2025 TV schedule she knows how to turn a look. The Baywatch actress took to her Instagram to showcase her glow-up process. The process delivered top-notch results, and seemed pretty straightforward—hair, makeup, wardrobe–but the way she was sitting in her chair in the third image was surprising.

The step-by-step recap is gorgeous, and I particularly enjoy the video of her hairstylist, but the chair pose catches me off guard. The opalescent jewelry, flame-printed jacket and apparent bodysuit are stunning, along with her glam makeup for the niche chair pose but it's kind of giving new meaning to chair yoga. If you try this posture at home, please be careful. As an oddball sitter myself, it’s an advanced sit for sure and I know I couldn’t pull it off for long. The things we do for fashion though, right?

Even though the San Andreas alum has been busy party-hopping, tending to and sharing news of her expanding family life during spooky season and being support for others on Mayfair Witches Season 2, she did take some well-deserved time and spent New Year's Eve with the Northern Lights. 2025 seems to be off to a fashionable and eventful start for Daddario and the AMC Anne Rice universe.

With Mayfair Witches Season 1's arrival on Netflix, the show is reaching more viewers than ever before, and it wouldn’t be surprising if Rowan Fielding and company got invited to even more outings. For now, Daddario does seem to be striking a fine balance between all elements of her life. She does have a handful of projects in production though, so we may see her calendar stay continually booked and busy for the next couple of years.

Since the second season of Mayfair Witches joined the 2025 TV schedule last month, I’ve been catching up with the Anne Rice adaptation on Sundays. One standout character this season has to be Alyssa Jirrels' Moira Mayfair, who joined the show after being part of the Fatal Attraction cast in 2023. So, when I spoke to the actress, I had to ask about an upcoming plot point I’ve been expecting involving her character and Lasher. However, I was surprised by her tease about it and it has me second-guessing what I thought was coming.

I Asked Mayfair Witches’ Alyssa Jirrels About Moira And Lasher Finally Meeting, But It’s Not What I’ve Been Expecting

Since Moira was introduced to the show, she’s really gone through it. She came back to New Orleans following the death of her sister Tessa last season. And in a recent episode, her mother was killed by Lasher. When I asked if the season is setting up Moira and Lasher having it out, Jirrels said this:

Look, I know Lasher’s character is getting more of a well-rounded arc this season that makes him a tad more sympathetic, but I do not trust that man, and thought Moira would for sure be doing what I think is the more logical thing and trying to take him down.

Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan is basically both his former mother (and was actually secretly pregnant during filming!) and his lover. So, it feels less likely she’d be able to take him down and stop the Mayfair women (including a Thora Birch cameo a couple of weeks back as one of them) from dying at his hand.

However, according to Jirrels, Moira is perhaps going to ease up and align more with Rowan as the season progresses. She didn’t really give away anything in our interview, but given her comments, I’m more likely to believe that if Lasher is going to be opposed, it won’t be by Moira alone, but by her and Rowan.

I’m More Confused Than Ever About Where The Season Is Going, But Jirrels Did Give Me Insight Into Moira and Rowan’s Relationship

As someone who has not read the Mayfair Witches books, I already didn’t know where the TV show was going. After these comments from Jirrels, though, I’m starting to realize that perhaps Season 2 has a different kind of finale than I was expecting. I guessed it was setting up a confrontation between Moira and Lasher, but now I don’t know.

Per Jirrels comments, now I think that Rowan and Moira could either become further at odds or allies. Here’s what Jirrels said about the pair’s relationship:

Will they go toe to toe? Or will they form an alliance? I really don’t know right now, but I’ll be tuning in this Sunday, that's for sure, because I need to see what happens next.

Things are getting super tense on the 2025 TV schedule thanks to Mayfair Witches Season 2, but we’re living for all the developments on the series from AMC’s Anne Rice universe. Alexandra Daddario’s Rowan is specifically dealing with a lot of animosity from fellow witch Moira Mayfair, played by this season’s newcomer, Alyssa Jirrels. However, in contrast to their roles, per CinemaBlend’s interview with Jirrels, Daddario was a huge support to her on her first season of the TV show.

Mayfair Witches' Alyssa Jirrels Gushes Over Working With Alexandra Daddario

Jirrels’ Moira and Daddario’s Rowan have been at odds all season on Mayfair Witches. It’s understandable after Moira has lost both her sister Tessa and her mother since Rowan joined the coven of Mayfairs. However, in real life, things are a lot less tense between the actresses who play these characters.

When I spoke to Jirrels about working alongside Daddario on Season 2, she shared the sweet support the show’s lead offered her, saying:

Jirrels has credits dating back a decade (since she was 14), but she’s really just getting started in Hollywood. Prior to earning a key role on Mayfair Witches, her most high-profile TV role was in the cast of Fatal Attraction alongside Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan. However, it feels like she's found something magical with Daddario, explaining:

Surprisingly, the pair of actresses are 14 years apart in age, and Daddario certainly has a breadth of experience to share given she’s been acting since she was a teen as well. It sounds like she and Jirrels really bonded on set, and The White Lotus actress (who was pregnant during filming before having a 2024 Halloween baby) was the sweetest co-star to have around.

Why The Mayfair Witches Actress Actually Loves That There’s ‘A Lot Of Opinions’ About The Series

One would think it’s not easy being the star of a series with as many divisive reactions as Mayfair Witches can get due to creative shifts from the Anne Rice book. However, during our interview, Jirrels revealed the very healthy way she deals with being on a show with “a lot of opinions”. Of course, Jirrels has been exposed to people’s thoughts online about Mayfair Witches, but as she told me, she actually loves how passionate fans are. In her words:

Jirrels told me she’s not exactly a fan of the supernatural genre herself, but really appreciates how the fandom “goes so hard.” Since getting the role, she’s been dipping her toe into the Anne Rice universe, too, as she said:

As fans of the series most certainly know, Mayfair Witches has taken its own creative liberties with the source material, and it differs quite a bit from the books. For example, Moira Mayfair isn’t even in the books, but a new character that was inspired by Mona Mayfair. When Jirrels was on her way to the set in New Orleans, she opened up the second Mayfair Witches book, Lasher, which Season 2 is loosely based on. Now, she’s definitely inspired to keep reading more Anne Rice books, but she’s got a lot to catch up on!

When summertime rolls around, there will undoubtedly be no shortage of bikini pics cropping up on social media, whether that means we’ll be in for another black bikini summer or seeing more pops of color like Salma Hayek’s itsy bitsy yellow number. Time will tell when temperatures get a little warmer, but some celebrities aren’t willing to wait that long. Jennifer Lopez and Alexandra Daddario were among the celebrity fashionistas who refused to let a little snow get in the way of a good swimsuit pic, as they shared some absolutely stunning vacation photos.

It was all about the views when Alexandra Daddario rang in the new year, and I’m not just talking about the Northern Lights. The star of Mayfair Witches (whose second season hits the 2025 TV schedule on January 5) showed off several pics from her Icelandic getaway on Instagram, and I don’t think I’m the only one getting chills:

The snowy background of Alexandra Daddario’s photos are beautiful beyond comprehension, but I can’t imagine how absolutely freezing she must be in just that white one-piece swimsuit. She’s really committed to that polar plunge!

Jennifer Lopez had a similar idea when she continued her aspirational Christmas as a single woman by taking a fun-filled holiday to Aspen, Colorado. Her festive Instagram Reel included lots of snow (and snowmen), dancing, cowboy hats, friends, family and, of course, bikini pics. She shared one image to her Stories:

At least JLo saved her swimwear for the indoors and was properly bundled up for her jaunts into the snowy weather. The year that just ended was quite a turbulent one for Jennifer Lopez, as she filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, but from the looks of her New Year’s posts that are full of music and dance, she’s ready to make 2025 a great year. If that means a bikini in the dead of winter, so be it.

Kudos to these guys for not letting a little thing like freezing temps keep them from living their best bikini lives, but other celebs were having no part of it. Florence Pugh also rang in the new year in snowy weather, but her Instagram Stories showed her sporting the actual opposite of swimwear:

Now we’re talking! Bundled up in a parka is definitely more my speed when it comes to snow. Florence Pugh seems to understand there’s a time to free the nipples and there’s a time to make sure they are warm and comfy under multiple layers.

Jennifer Lopez and Alexandra Daddario weren’t the only celebs rocking New Year’s bikinis, though Sydney Sweeney’s jet ski pics were taken in a presumably warmer climate (or at least one without snow). Hailey Bieber also got in on the fun, with Justin Bieber salivating over his wife in a post that seemingly debunked rumors of marital strife.

We’re only a few days into the new year, and celebrities are already keeping social media pretty hot with their swimsuit pics. Hopefully they’re keeping themselves warm, too.

Alexandra Daddario had a busy year this year between attending myriad events, filming Season 2 of AMC’s popular The Mayfair Witches series, oh yeah, and her relationship with Andrew Form took a big step forward when the two created an actual human life. Luckily, she had some time for some R&R this December and spent it looking at the Northern Lights. Of course, the views are gorgeous.

Plenty of celebrities spent the holidays someplace exotic, fun, and likely expensive. The first holiday adventure that comes to mind, of course, is Jennifer Lopez’s aspirational Christmas, as she spent the holidays in 2024 having a literal white Christmas. But other celebrities did too, as Brie Larson has shown us some gorgeous views in recent days. (Oddly enough the two had similar holidays and similar red carpet moments in 2024.)

Daddario was among the celebrities who had snow-filled holiday vacations, as well. Take a look.

As someone who has seen a lot of great Christmas movies in my time, I can honestly say the views here make me feel like she’s in the plot of an upcoming Hallmark winter movie and about to indulge in some hot chocolate and maybe some holiday activities like skating or ice sculpting or whatever. Her real life might mimic a made-for-TV movie, but it’s nice to see the actress get a break after her busy year.

In fact, she officially wrapped production on Season 2 of The Mayfair Witches last summer, filming the new season of the AMC drama while pregnant with her first child. She actually revealed her pregnancy announcement in July of 2024, also joking her baby with husband Andrew Form was the worst kept secret in the industry at the time. Daddario later admitted to throwing up between make out scenes, and it sounds like the season was a real challenge for her, though she got through it so the new season could premiere.

Now, the show will be hitting the 2025 TV schedule on January 5, nearly two years after the first season premiered in January of 2023. Obviously, a lot has changed for the actress during that time. In particular, last year was a big year for the former Baywatch star, but next year is shaping up to be similar, at least if her schedule is any indication. Outside of her AMC work, the actress also has A Tree Fell In The Woods, Happy Life and Doubled Booked in various stages of production potentially for the 2025 release schedule or beyond. Doubtless there is more to come, as well.

Though I wouldn’t mind if we got a few more views from her of the Northern Lights in the meantime.

Alexandra Daddario has been busy this year–from her pregnancy and preparing for her son’s Halloween arrival to appearing in a few movies on our 2024 movie schedule, it seems like one for the books. To top off her year, and before launching into the last part of the year, holidays and all, the new mother jumped back into her fashionable ways to attend a Dior party at the Brooklyn Museum. Her return to her social life, of course, is marked with an incredible little black dress I just love.

Her pregnancy with her husband Andrew Forms was officially announced during the summer but was, according to the Baywatch alum, "the worst kept secret" on the Mayfair Witches set. All in all, Daddario continued to prove her stylish eye never faded away after that beautiful nursery reveal.

Just a few weeks after welcoming her little one, the True Detective alum shared on her Instagram what life has looked like for the trio (and their dog!). Along with the life update, she thanked the hosts for her invitation. Daddario also posted what she wore to the party, and it absolutely kills, I think you’ll agree with me when you see it:

Along with the party fit, there are photos in the post sharing her prep for the event, an art piece from the party, her dog in various places, and a couple of her sweet little boy. The post seems to be about an open and sweet reflection of small recent moments of having a newborn.

The images all seem to reflect the reality of her current state, and it’s nice to get a glimpse into Daddario’s life as a new mother. It’s great to see that she’s already prioritizing finding a balance between work and her new home life, and others seem to agree:

The White Lotus alum seems to be settling into motherhood pretty well and is striking a balance that works for her, which I may love even more than that incredible dress! In all seriousness, though, she isn’t going anywhere in Hollywood. The next season of the Mayfair Witches, based on the Anne Rice novels, is set to appear on our 2025 TV schedule.

Until the supernatural thriller returns, we can look to Daddario’s IG for some wickedly stylish inspiration and possibly more newborn content. Either way, the actress knows how to deliver and I’m always down for it.

I think Alexandra Daddario's baby is going to fit right in with the Mayfair Witches, because the actress announced their birth on Halloween! Taking to Instagram to post an adorable photo of her bundle of joy, Daddario also added a cheeky caption that's perfect for spooky season.

Literally one day after posting about her little one's incredible nursery, Daddario announced her kiddo's birth. While we don't know if they were actually born on Halloween, that is when she decided to share the news with the world, so this photo and caption fit right in with the festivities:

She makes a valid point, the clear little bed her child is resting in does resemble a candy bowl. Plus, the candy around them is a lovely little touch.

Overall, this cute announcement fits right in with the other silly posts Daddario has used to provide pregnancy updates. For example, when The White Lotus star announced that she was expecting back in July, she wrote:

This funny caption was in reference to the fact that both Hailey Bieber and Margot Robbie made their pregnancies public around the same time Daddario did.

Along with that, the actress has been joking about keeping her pregnancy a secret, even though it wasn’t well kept while she was filming Mayfair Witches, because she was sick and having cravings. She also told a hilarious and candid story about shooting her AMC+ show and having to deal with morning sickness and makeout scenes. So, her announcing her little one’s birth with a joke feels on-brand, and I’m here for it.

On top of all the celebration on this fun spooky holiday, this news also happened to drop on the same day a new trailer for Mayfair Witches’ second season came out. So, it truly is perfect timing. The second season of Alexandra Daddario’s series is on the 2025 TV schedule for a January 5 premiere, so it’s exciting that the actress gets to celebrate both the show and the birth of her little one, who she was carrying while filming the upcoming episodes.

Overall, this is such exciting news, and I’m obsessed with the festive way the True Detective actress announced the birth of her baby.

After Alexandra Daddario announced her pregnancy this summer, she’s been using her Instagram to provide the sweetest (and most in style) baby updates. Most recently, she took to social media to show off her baby’s nursery, and let me tell you, it’s incredible. From the simple crib to cute stuffed animals, to the most adorable floral blinds, it has it all. It even has exposed brick!

Now, it’s no secret that Daddario is a stylish gal, however, she’s proving that she’s a very fashionable mom too. In an IG post that included four images, she showed off her baby’s new room. Honestly, I adore it, and you will too when you take a look at it:

In her caption, Daddario explained that Baby List helped her assemble her nursery in her New York City apartment. As someone who lives in New Jersey and spent some time trying to find a place to live in NYC, I know how hard it is to come by the perfect space. However, it looks like the actress and her husband Andrew Form found it. And based on these nursery photos, I bet it's super homey. Plus, that exposed brick is just the cherry on top!

The White Lotus actress also noted that she “had fun” doing it all and putting her registry together, and I could feel that. The colors in the floral blinds compliment the brick perfectly, and the green shelving is a wonderful accent in the room as well. Plus, the little details, like the color-coded books and the little Dumbo stuffed animal are to die for. Also, don’t even get me started on that gorgeous burnt orange chair.

Basically, what I’m saying is the actress and Baby List have seemingly curated the perfect space for her little one. People in the comments were making claims similar to that too, as they posted sweet messages like:

While Daddario kept her pregnancy a secret for a while, now that it’s out in the open, it’s lovely to get insights into how it’s going for her. Plus, it’s wonderful to see such a supportive fan response about it too.

From telling stories about working while pregnant, which included her apparently having morning sickness right before she had to make out with a co-star for a scene, to highly fashionable maternity shoots, I’m so here for all the stories and content Daddario is giving us. Now, I can’t wait to hear about her little bundle of joy once they come into the world.

It’s not 100% clear when Daddario is due. However, I assume it would be soon since she announced her pregnancy this summer after she’d already been carrying the baby for a while. The idea of having roommates has never been more fun thanks to FOX’s comedy series, New Girl. Even though it’s been over and done with for years, it remains one of the most rewatchable TV shows ever. Aside from hitting play on the hilarious sitcom for all the great bits in the loft, it’s also a blast for all the major actors who guest-starred over the years. While there are way too many for this list to hold, we’ve compiled some of the biggest names that appeared on the show.

Jamie Lee Curtis

Oscar-winner Jamie Lee Curtis guest starred as the mother of Zooey Deschanel’s Jess Day in the Season 2 episode, “Parents.” Curtis was a great pick to match the quirky spirit of the sitcom’s leading character, and she returned to the series five more times after her initial debut on the series in Season 2.

Taylor Swift

When one thinks of Taylor Swift, sure, “actor” isn’t the first title that comes to mind, but over the years the phenomenon of a singer/songwriter has racked up numerous acting credits in projects like The Lorax, Cats and Amsterdam along. Oh, and what about all those epic Taylor Swift music videos? Anyways, Swift made an appearance in the Season 2 finale of New Girl when Cece is getting married to Shivrang. At the altar, the groom calls off the wedding to say that he wants to marry Swift’s character of Elaine instead.

Prince

One of the most memorable moments in New Girl has to be when the cast is invited to go to a party at Prince’s house… and they actually meet Prince. The Season 3 episode came about thanks to the iconic artist expressing interest in appearing in the show as a fan of the comedy. There’s nothing like that scene when Nick and Jess have a freakout when he appears.

Tiffany Haddish

Girls Trip actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish had a small role in the Season 3 episode “Exes” as a date of Damen Wayans Jr’s Coach. She is part of the plotline of Schmidt deciding to get his own apartment and encouraging Winston and Coach to use the place whenever they like for their hookups. In the scene, all three of them have used it at once and it freaks out Haddish’s character of Leslie.

Rob Reiner

All In The Family’s Rob Reiner returned to the sitcom fold as Jess Day’s dad, Bob, in multiple episodes of New Girl. The beloved actor (and director of classics like The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally, Misery, This Is Spinal Tap and Stand By Me) was in eleven total episodes of the series, appearing in almost every season of the show.

Lisa Bonet

The Cosby Show’s Lisa Bonet guest starred in the Season 4 episode “Teachers” as an education guru named Brenda Brown. Jess and Coach meet the character while attending together. She calls Coach out for his attitude during the presentation that causes him to stop being Jess’s “buffer” while she tries to ignore her feelings for a British teacher she’s crushing on at her school.

Kaitlin Olson

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia’s Kaitlin Olson (who is back for Season 17 of the comedy) guest starred in New Girl for two episodes in Season 4. She plays Bob Day’s much younger fiancée, who happened to be the high school rival of Jess and Cece back in the day.

Josh Gad

The Book of Mormon and Frozen’s beloved snowman voice actor Josh Gad guest starred in three separate episodes of New Girl (in Season 2, 3 and 4) as a delivery man named Bearclaw who falls head over heels with Jess. He first appears in the episode “Katie” as a blind date gone wrong before also being in “Birthday” and “Walk of Shame.”

Dermot Mulroney

My Best Friend’s Wedding actor Dermot Mulroney is “Fancyman” in New Girl. The actor appeared as a guest star in eight episodes of the show throughout its run after becoming a favorite in Season 1. In the two part episode “Fancyman,” he is introduced as the wealthy father of one of Jess’s students who she strikes up a romance with.

Olivia Rodrigo

Yes, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actress turned massive pop star Olivia Rodrigo was on New Girl, but it was before reaching mega-stardom. In the Season 6 episode “Young Adult,” Rodrigo plays one of the students in Jess’s school who becomes a huge fan of Nick Miller’s novel The Pepperwood Chronicles. In an effort for her students (including Rodrigo’s character of Terrinea) to like her better, Jess sets up a meeting between a few of the students and Nick.

Megan Fox

In Season 5 of New Girl, Zooey Deschanel was pregnant in real life and since that was not in the cards yet for Jess Day, the decision was made to have her character leave for a while on Jury Duty while Deschanel went on maternity leave. The creators decided to bring in Megan Fox’s Reagan to take Jess’s place and she ended up being part of 15 episodes of the series. Fox is of course also known for being in the Transformers movies, Jennifer’s Body and the live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie.

Alan Ritchson

Before Alan Ritchson starred in one of the best Amazon Prime shows, Reacher, the actor had a memorable guest spot on New Girl in the episode “Micro”. In the Season 4 episode, Ritchson used his comedic chops as a guy Jess is seeing who she struggles with getting past the fact that Ritchson’s Matt has a micro penis.

Henry Winkler

Happy Days and Barry actor Henry Winkler appeared in New Girl (alongside the incredible Julie Hagerty and Taran Killam) in the Season 5 episode “What About Fred.” In the episode, Jess is dating a guy named Fred (Killam), who she finds very boring, but falls for spending time with his charismatic parents Winkler and Hagerty’s Flip and Nancy.

Parker Posey

Parker Posey, aka the “Queen of the Indies,” especially during the best movies of the 1990s, had a great guest appearance in New Girl during the Season 2 episode “Re-Launch.” Schmidt is having a re-branding party for himself and Posey plays a dishevelled shot girl who was not as advertised.

John Cho

Star Trek’s John Cho appeared on New Girl for the Season 5 episode “Jury Duty.” Jess tries to get out of getting on a case for a chance to be acting principal. She asks her friends to help, but fails miserably in front of Cho’s character, who ends up being the man questioning her for the case after they initially have a flirty meet-cute.

Adam Brody

The OC and Nobody Wants This’s Adam Brody was one of Jess’s ex-boyfriend’s, Berkley, in the Season 3 episode, “Exes.” In the episode, Jess tries to prove to Nick that exes can still be friends by introducing him to Berkley, but she’s proved wrong when she finds out his true intentions.

Quinta Brunson

Before Quinta Brunson was the Emmy-winning creator and star of the hit ABC comedy, Abbott Elementary, she had a brief role in New Girl, in the Season 7 episode “Mario.” When Nick is trying to propose to Jess, she unexpectedly adopts a dog, throwing off his plans. Brunson plays a restaurant host that Nick speaks to on the phone as the plans shift.

Stephen Amell

Arrow star Stephen Amell, who played the Green Arrow for eight seasons on The CW, was on New Girl for a couple of episodes in Season 1. He played Cece’s jerk boyfriend Kyle in “The 23rd” and “Valentine’s Day.” Cece ends things with Kyle in the latter episode after realizing she has feelings for Schmidt.

Jessica Biel

7th Heaven and The Sinner actress Jessica Biel stopped by New Girl for the Season 4 premiere “The Last Wedding.” When the gang goes to yet another wedding, Biel plays a single woman who ends up competing with Jess to earn the affection of its best man (played by Reid Scott).

Justin Long

Justin Long had a memorable guest star arc on the first season of New Girl. He plays Paul Genzlinger, a music teacher co-worker of Jess’s whom she starts dating in time for the show’s first Thanksgiving episode. Paul is often thought of as a male version of Jess. After the couple date for about a month and breakup, Long made a re-appearance in Season 4’s “Walk Of Shame.”

Linda Cardellini

New Girl fans got to meet Jess’s sister, Abby Day, in Season 3 through Linda Cardellini’s three-episode arc. The Dead To Me actress plays Jess’s troublemaker older sibling, who is just about completely opposite to the sitcom’s leading actress. Jess is constantly embarrassed by Abby’s behavior when she comes to stay in the loft after Jess saves her from prison.

Alexandra Daddario

Baywatch and The White Lotus’ Alexandra Daddario played one of the neighbors to the New Girl gang in two episodes of the series. Daddario’s Michelle is deemed as one of the “hot” new neighbors that Schmidt, Winston, Coach scramble to impress after their first meeting left something to be desired. Daddario appears in Season 3’s “Mars Landing” and Season 4’s “Goldmine.”

Andy Samberg

For quite a few years, New Girl and Brooklyn Nine-Nine were both big comedies airing on FOX at the same time. So in Season 6, the networks decided to crossover the comedies with a special New York episode for New Girl. While the friends are in the Big Apple, Jess gets some help from Andy Samberg’s Jake Peralta and the other cast. (The cast of New Girl was also on an episode of B99 called “The Night Shift” that aired the same week in 2016).

Peter Gallagher

The OC’s Peter Gallagher was in multiple episodes of New Girl as Schmidt’s father, Gavin. The vineyard owner first appears in the Season 5 episode “D-Day” when Jess is assisting Schmidt with wedding preparations. Gallagher, who has also been in famous movies like American Beauty and While You Were Sleeping, was a great fit to play Schmidt’s absentee dad.

Randall Park

Before Randall Park became the star of Fresh Off The Boat, Always Be My Maybe and WandaVision, he was briefly in a Season 1 episode of New Girl as an employee at a phone company (with frosted tips), who makes fun of Nick for his crazy low credit score.

Natasha Lyonne

Natasha Lyonne is a famous TV actress for her roles in Orange is the New Black, Russian Doll and Poker Face. Prior to those roles, she had a small role in New Girl’s third episode ever, “Wedding.” She played Gretchen Nelson, an acquaintance of Schmidt, who he ends up sleeping with at every wedding they both attend even though he claims he cannot stand her.

Dylan O'Brien

Teen Wolf star Dylan O’Brien plays the guy Jess Day lost her virginity to on the night of her prom back when she was in high school. In the episode “Virgins” from Season 2, Jess runs into him many years after their first meeting, but what could have been a sexual fantasy turns into an embarrassing moment for the two of them.

Brenda Song

The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody actress Brenda Song was in a few episodes in Season 2 (and one in Season 3) as Daisy, a love interest for Winston. It’s a short-lived romance for Winston, but Song is a guest star in what we consider to be No. 1 of the best New Girl episodes, “Cooler.”

Joey King

Before Joey King was the star of Netflix’s The Kissing Booth movies or the numerous 2024 movies she’s been in like A Family Affair, Uglies and Despicable Me 4, she was a popular child actor who was in Ramona & Beezus with Selena Gomez or the Taylor Swift music video “Mean.” She was also in a Season 1 episode of New Girl called “Bully” as one of Jess’s students.

Carla Gugino

Carla Gugino, known for the Spy Kids movies and being in multiple Mike Flanagan horror projects was in three 2012 episodes of New Girl as Schmidt’s new boss, Emma. In the first episode Gugino stars in “Menzies,” Schmidt gets into a sexual contract with her that doesn’t go as planned.

Nick Kroll

The very funny Nick Kroll is known for starring in The League, along with creating the Kroll Show and Netflix’s Big Mouth. In Season 2’s “Chicago,” where the gang goes to Nick’s hometown for his father’s funeral, Kroll plays one of Nick Miller’s brothers, alongside Bill Burr! You can tell Kroll and Burr had tons of fun with the Chicago accent bringing some levity to a rather emotional New Girl episode.

Fred Armisen

Saturday Night Live favorite (who was behind some of SNL's funniest recurring characters) and Portlandia lead Fred Armisen had a brief role in New Girl for the season five episode “No Girl.” While Jess is at jury duty, the gang rent out her room to random people, and Armisen plays a guy named Brandon. His short time there made a huge impression because of how funny he is with the guys. Remember when he read Schmidt his romance writing or dressed up like Jess at one point?

As with many years prior, several upcoming films will bring us tales of joy and woe with animated adventures, heartfelt family films, people overcoming horrific circumstances, fun comedies and more. But, something that many people love to see is a story that focuses either on people who do intriguing work or who have some true magic in their lives. As such, let’s take a look at 32 famous actors who’ve given us that by playing a wizard, witch or magician in some popular movies. 

Nicole Kidman (Practical Magic, Bewitched)

An Oscar winner who’s notably portrayed a witch twice in her big screen efforts is Nicole Kidman. Seeing as how Practical Magic 2 is now being worked on in earnest, you probably remember her 1998 hit with Sandra Bullock easily. But, do you recall her turn as a real witch hired to play a fictional one in the 2005 comedy, Bewitched?

Hugh Jackman (The Prestige)

We actually don’t get as many magicians on screen as one might think, but Hugh Jackman did us all a solid when he starred as one in the 2006 Christopher Nolan movie, The Prestige. If you somehow still haven’t seen this Edwardian London-set thriller, do yourself a favor and track it down. You won’t regret it.

Ian McKellen (The Lord Of The Rings And The Hobbit Trilogies)

This list would be nothing without mentioning maybe the most famous wizard in all of literary history, who made his major motion picture appearances courtesy of Sir Ian McKellen in The Lord of the Rings movies, as well as The Hobbit trilogy. Gandalf the Grey cannot be ignored, and not just because he’s so much taller than most of his traveling companions!

Neve Campbell (The Craft)

Fledgling teen witches count just as much as those who’ve been witchin’ for decades, which is why Neve Campbell’s eventual power-hungry sorceress, Bonnie, is on this list. The Craft is a teen horror classic that’s worth a watch.

Bette Midler (Hocus Pocus)

Here’s another classic movie witch who’s hard to forget. Bette Midler really dialed it up for her performance as Winifred Sanderson in 1993’s Hocus Pocus (along with fellow witchy Sanderson sisters Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker), and the results were so memorable that a Disney+ sequel was made nearly 30 years later.

Jesse Eisenberg (Now You See Me)

We’ve come to another magician, but Jesse Eisenberg’s modern-day character, Atlas, is an illusionist who works in Las Vegas in a popular group…who are really teamed up to steal lots and lots of money. It was so popular that a sequel followed.

Alexandra Daddario (Mayfair Witches)

If anything, we could trust late horror author Anne Rice to pen an intriguing tale that keeps us glued to the pages of a book. It also turns out that White Lotus star Alexandra Daddario can help turn that story into a can’t-miss TV show, as she’s done by playing witchy lead Rowan on Mayfair Witches.

Cher (The Witches Of Eastwick)

Cher has excelled in pretty much every role she’s ever had, and that includes widowed mother/witch Alex in The Witches of Eastwick. This one gets wild but you’ll never regret watching her (or her co-stars Susan Sarandon, Michelle Pfeiffer and Jack Nicholson) as things go from weird to worse.

Nicolas Cage (The Sorcerer’s Apprentice)

We all know that Nicolas Cage has played a multitude of roles during his decades-long career, so it should be little surprise that he’s portrayed as a user of magic. Before you get too deep into wondering whether or not there’s a real difference between a wizard and a sorcerer, just know that Cage played the latter in this 2010 film that takes some inspiration from a segment in Disney’s animated classic, Fantasia.

Tia And Tamera Mowry (Twitches)

Sure, there have already been people on this list who played witches along with other really famous people, and those co-stars weren’t listed as the main star, but guess what: none of those other people starred with their twin, which is the case with Tia and Tamera Mowry in the beloved Disney Channel original film, Twitches. Did this one get a sequel? You bet it did!

Meryl Streep (Into The Woods)

No one can deny the prowess or ability of 21-time Oscar nominee (and three-time winner) Meryl Streep to deliver an amazing performance. The same can be true for when she played the character known simply as The Witch in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical Into the Woods (and, yes, got an Academy Award nomination for her work).

Steve Carell (The Incredible Burt Wonderstone)

And here we have another Las Vegas magician in Steve Carell’s Burt Wonderstone. Instead of watching him steal money, we follow along in this comedy as Burt attempts to reunite with his former partner (Steve Buschemi) so they can gain more traction than a competing magician (Jim Carrey) whose “tricks” mostly involve odd feats of endurance and real pain.

Edward Norton (The Illusionist)

You’d be forgiven for confusing this film with the above-mentioned The Prestige, as they’re both about old-timey magicians and released in 2006. However, this film stars Edward Norton as our…illusionist, and is more of a romantic mystery than Nolan’s thriller.

Lucy Lawless (Salem)

So many evil witches, so little time. The WGN TV series, Salem, was loosely inspired by the Salem witch trials, and focused on a lead who was trying to bring the Devil to earth. But, that wasn’t even the character played by Xena actress Lucy Lawless, as her Countess Palatine Ingrid von Marburg was simply a different and far more evil witch. Can’t anyone use magic to just like, keep everyone’s house clean so we can all have more free time?

Guy Pearce (Death Defying Acts)

It’s actually rather surprising that we’ve gotten this far into the list without coming to someone who portrayed a famous real-life magician, so we can thank Guy Pearce for that. His 2007 supernatural romance, Death Defying Acts, saw him play Harry Houdini.

Angela Bassett (American Horror Story: Coven)

Even for those who don’t follow along with the amazing antics on every season of the anthology series, American Horror Story, it would probably be a little shock to find out that the show has cast several witches during its long run. The subtitle of this 2013 season tells you that it was dedicated to witchy goings-on, and double Oscar nominee Angela Bassett had a notable guest role as real historical figure/Voodoo practitioner Marie Laveau.

Sebastian Stan (The Covenant)

The actor who would come to be known as Bucky “Winter Soldier” Barnes, Sebastian Stan, played a very different type of super-powered character in 2006, when he played teen warlock Chase Collins in the fantasy film The Covenant. It also features stars like Taylor Kitsch and Chase Crawford, who also get their magic on in the film.

Michelle Pfeiffer (Stardust)

As we’ve seen from the entry on Cher, Michelle Pfeiffer had already played a witchy woman by the time she appeared in the 2007 movie Stardust, as an evil (of course) witch looking to retrieve a fallen star to have ever-lasting beauty and youth.

Debbie Reynolds (Halloweentown)

Here’s another Disney Channel classic, which follows a young witch who realizes she has powers on her 13th Halloween, only to be transported to the titular town where supernatural creatures can live without human interference. The late Debbie Reynolds plays her grandmother (also a witch), and returned for all three sequels.

Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange)

This 2016 MCU entry stars Benedict Cumberbatch as an injured doctor who involves himself in the business of fighting evil with sorcery after losing the use of his hands and heading to a mysterious enclave to look for healing. Cumberbatch has appeared as the character in a number of Marvel franchise films now, including a 2022 sequel to his original solo film.

Mila Kunis (Oz The Great And Powerful)

Here’s a movie filled with magical beings that’s often forgotten. Oz the Great and Powerful saw Mila Kunis, along with Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz, play witches of, yes, that Oz who have to determine if the Kansas magician who’s turned up in their realm is really the “great” wizard they’ve been waiting for.

Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone)

This is another actor and portrayal that this list would basically be pointless without. Though Daniel Radcliffe has gone on to portray a wide variety of good and bad guys in the past decade or so of his career, for many he will always be known as the boy wizard, Harry Potter.

Selena Gomez (Wizards Of Waverly Place)

What? Did you forget that Selena Gomez, the Grammy-nominated singer and star of the Hulu hit show Only Murders in the Building, got her first taste of fame on a Disney Channel series? Well, shame on you for not being able to remember that Gomez led Wizards of Waverly Place through a magical four-season run as the supernaturally gifted teen, Alex Russo.

Elizabeth Olsen (WandaVision)

Do we have yet another MCU stalwart for you? You bet we do! Elizabeth Olsen first took on the role of Scarlet Witch during the post-credits scene of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, later starring in several more of the franchise films and the critically lauded Disney+ series, WandaVision, for which she received an Emmy nomination.

Sam Neill (Merlin)

While there have certainly been a number of movies and shows that have given us versions of the mythical wizard known as Merlin, NBC’s two-part, 1998 miniseries saw Sam Neill use his recent Jurassic Park stardom to show us an adventurous tale of Merlin’s life before the birth of King Arthur.

Rosamund Pike (The Wheel Of Time)

Many of the portrayals we’ve discussed (and will continue to discuss below) have dealt with book-to-screen adaptations that are based on already incredibly popular novels, and The Wheel of Time is certainly one of those. The Amazon series, which takes its story from the 14-book franchise by Robert Jordan and Brandon Sanderson, stars Rosamund Pike as powerful magic user Moiraine Damodred, who takes a group of young adults on a journey to save the world.

Julia Ormond (Witches Of East End)

This Lifetime series, which ran for two seasons from 2013 to 2014, followed the women of the Beauchamp family, witches in a small, fictional seaside town who are led by their mother, Julia Ormond’s Joanna, and have to fight to save themselves and the people of their town from dark magical forces.

Emma Thompson (Beautiful Creatures)

This 2013 Gothic fantasy romance focuses on a teen who will learn on her 16th birthday whether or not her witch tendencies will be for good or ill. Two-time Academy Award-winning actress and screenwriter Emma Thompson plays her mother, Sarafine, who didn’t raise the girl but wants her on that dark side really, really badly.

Tilda Swinton (The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, Suspiria)

Considering that Tilda Swinton has played everything from a gender-switching hero in Orlando to the MCU’s version of the Ancient One in the aforementioned Doctor Strange and the archangel Gabriel in Constantine, is anyone surprised to know that she’s played some witches? In both The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe and Suspiria she was very good at playing magical ladies who wanted (or already had and wanted to continue) to do some very bad things, but the latter film has WAY more serious and bloody fun for those who watch.

Jack Black (The House With A Clock In Its Walls)

Frequent funny man Jack Black as a warlock? That’s what the 2018 fantasy The House With A Clock In Its Walls delivers, as the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star portrays a boy’s magic uncle who lives in the house of a dead evil wizard and is trying to discover the location and purpose of a clock the previous dastardly owner hid in the walls.

Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes Of Grindelwald)

While much of the Harry Potter franchise featured either actors Richard Harris or Michael Gambon as the beloved Professor Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, when the prequels were made, a younger Albus Dumbledore was needed and they called in Jude Law to fill the wizard’s very important and legendary shoes.

Julianne Moore (Seventh Son)

Last but certainly not least on our list of famed actors who’ve brought wizards, witches and magicians to life is lauded talent Julianne Moore. The Academy Award winner starred in 2015’s Seventh Son as the evil witch Mother Malkin, who escapes after many years imprisoned and looks to restore her full power by any means necessary.

As you can see, many of our most beloved stars have portrayed wizards, witches and magicians!

At this point, I’m sure we’ve all gone through the mental gymnastics of choosing which of the best streaming services to subscribe to and which we'll leave behind. So, platforms like AMC+, for example, get left in the dust. Now, however, one of its high-profile shows, Mayfair Witches, is available to stream with a Netflix subscription. And while I’m as excited to binge it as its star Alexandra Daddario is to celebrate one of its new homes, I also can’t help but think about the problem AMC has here.

We Can Finally Binge Mayfair Witches On Netflix, And Alexandra Daddario Is Celebrating

Since Mayfair Witches' first season premiered in January of 2023, the only place you could watch it was AMC or AMC+. Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t have live TV anymore and I don’t subscribe to AMC+. So, I had no way of watching this spooky show starring Alexandra Daddario. However, that’s all changed now!

Season 1 of the series is now on Netflix, and Daddario celebrated it on Instagram with a few photos from various episodes and a sweet caption that read:

Personally, I can’t wait to binge this show! It’s an adaptation of Anne Rice’s beloved books, that follows a neurosurgeon as she realizes she’s the heir to a family of witches. Based on the trailer, Mayfair Witches looks spooky, dark, gothic and magical. I’ve always been a fan of shows like this, and I’ve been wanting to check Daddario’s series out.

However, this development has also highlighted a bigger issue AMC has.

However, While I’m Excited About This, It Highlights A Big Problem AMC Has

Overall, this move, while exhilarating, highlights the inconvenience of AMC+. The streaming service is niche, and really only offers shows that you can find on the channel AMC, which includes all The Walking Dead franchise, Interview with a Vampire and more. While all that’s enticing, it’s also too small a library to justify a subscription, at least for me.

Think about it this way: AMC is a lot like FX and HBO. They have prestige and niche programming that people love, and that’s what they’re known for. However, you can get FX and HBO projects both on live TV and by having a general Hulu subscription or Max subscription, respectively. Therefore, not only do you have those networks' libraries at no extra cost, you also have everything else the streamer offers. You don't really get that with AMC+.

Breaking this down a bit further, you can watch one of Hulu’s best shows, which is FX’s The Bear as well as Hulu originals like Only Murders in the Building and ABC series like Grey's Anatomy and The Bachelor without paying extra. You aren't limited to just what FX offers. Meanwhile, on AMC+ you get what's on the channel plus a few other things, but it's not much in comparison to what streamers like Hulu offer with their base plans.

It's worth noting that many of AMC's shows are available on Netflix, including the various Walking Dead series, Interview with a Vampire and Mayfair Witches. However, unlike FX and Hulu, new seasons don't go there until long after they've aired.

I wish that AMC+ could be part of Netflix in the same way FX is part of Hulu or HBO is part of Max. It would make its shows more accessible and really help grow a passionate audience.

Maybe someday that will happen. However, for now, I’ll be binge-watching Mayfair Witches on Netflix, and if I feel inclined enough, who knows, maybe I’ll end up watching Season 2 on AMC+ when it premieres. But odds are, for me and many others, I’ll likely wait until Season 2 is long over and finally added to Netflix to watch it instead, because a girl can only have so many subscriptions.

The whole world was excited for Alexandra Daddario when the Mayfair Witches star recently announced she was pregnant. She waited a while before letting anyone know, only revealing her baby bump when she was photographed by Vogue. In order to keep her privacy, she kept the big news from her Mayfair Witches co-stars too, which resulted in the actress making up random excuses for different pregnancy-related changes. Considering she was expecting for a significant portion of production, this apparently ended up being the worst kept secret ever, and she told a hilarious story about her trying to hide it from scene partner Ben Feldman.

Daddario joined the rest of the Mayfair Witches cast last weekend at San Diego Comic-Con where the actors teased the much-anticipated Season 2 of the Anne Rice-adapted series. While there is certainly a lot to chat about, the focus did eventually turn to the actress's exciting news that she is expecting a baby with her husband Andrew Form. The actress explained that her intention to keep her pregnancy a secret ended up proving futile, as Feldman saw the actress vomit in front of her trailer. She said (via People):

This wasn’t the first instance that tipped the Superstore actor off to Daddario’s secret. Apparently, she had also been vomiting before make-out scenes with her co-star, in addition to refusing turkey sandwiches. She admitted this made it difficult to hide, but also expressed her appreciation toward her co-stars for being so supportive of her during the filming process.

Since the cat has been out of the bag, Daddario has used her platform to give advice to other expecting mothers struggling with changes to their bodies. It’s a big transition, but it seems like The White Lotus alum is prepared for what’s to come.

Even though she was pregnant during filming, it’s unlikely fans will be able to tell on the small screen when Season 2 of Mayfair Witches is finally released in 2025. Daddario was able to keep it a secret for a while, which suggests the actress wasn’t visibly pregnant.

In addition, TV shows have become very good at hiding pregnancies from audiences. Modern Family directors used to have Julie Bowen carry around a laundry basket in front of her when she was expecting, and Scandal hid Kerry Washington’s pregnancy in all kinds of creative ways. I’m not sure how much of this needed to be done for Daddario, but changes in her personal life will likely not affect her character’s arc in the upcoming season.

Now that the pregnancy is no longer a secret, she can publicly embrace the excitement of becoming a mom. Also, Feldman can rest assured there likely won’t be any more post-vomit kisses if Mayfair Witches gets a Season 3, and he can be openly supportive of his on-screen love interest. The joking all comes from a place of love and excitement for the Baywatch actress, who is starting a new chapter in her life, and also seems to have a great sense of humor about the whole thing.

After a few months of wearing fewer sheer looks than normal, Alexandra Daddario shared with the world that next up in her and Andrew Form’s relationship timeline the couple will be having a baby. Daddario had been open about wanting to be parents in the past, but it hasn’t always been an easy road. Now, the actress is speaking out about worries during her own pregnancy and the advice she’d given to any woman going down the same road.

After Daddario announced her pregnancy at the beginning of July, she's been pretty open about her journey so far. Recently, she explained “the biggest thing” she’d share with soon-to-be moms and a lot of what she had to learn had to do with control. She explained:

Daddario was speaking to Vogue as part of a photoshoot to show off her maternity look. And while a lot of the video is about her personal glam as a mom-to-be, she did sweetly admit, “I can’t wait for the little baby to be here.” Take a look at more from the fun shoot, below.

Daddario is glowing these days, but also like many moms, it wasn't always picture perfect to get to this point. In fact, a few weeks ago Daddario touched on “loss” earlier in her marriage, revealing that her impending bundle of joy is a rainbow baby. She told the outlet in its print issue:

She said getting pregnant again led to “complicated feelings,” but at the time she was busy working on Mayfair Witches and it kept her mind off of potential doomsday thinking patterns after her first loss. Sure, there may have been a little “throwing up” between Witches makeup scenes, which complicated filming Season 2 of the AMC series somewhat, but she admitted her pregnancy to the cast early on and got through it just swimmingly.

Now, with Mayfair Witches set to return in early 2025 and her baby on the way, it's a bit of a waiting game for the actress right now. But that old adage is right: Good things come to those who wait.

Alexandra Daddario likely won’t be having as many late nights out with husband Andrew Form coming up, as the Baywatch star recently announced she’s pregnant at 38. In the meantime, the Hollywood it girl is throwing back to some of her most iconic looks, including a sheer dress she wore to a Tag Heuer event last summer. It may be a throwback post, but it’s still fashion goals. 

While the actress has been candid about the ups and downs she faced before The White Lotus, among the many “ups” are some of her fashion choices. For the watch company’s boutique opening Daddario wore a patterned Oscar De La Renta dress with silver sequins. It was patterned in a style that made the sequins resemble waves and she paired the showstopper dress with an on-theme Tag Heuer watch and sparkly jewelry from Melissa Kaye around her neck and on her fingers. 

While she already showed the look off on the red carpet, Ms. Daddario revealed her stylist Marty Harper had recently developed film from the event, which gave us another take on her 'fit from a black-and-white perspective. 

While you can’t see the silver color of the sequin waves on the gorgeous dress, the diamonds around her neck and the showcased watch both stand out even more thanks to the developed film.

As you may already know, sheer looks have been in for a while, and Daddario even wore one to the Emmys in 2021. In particular, though, they were all the rage last summer on the red carpet, and they’re still very much in the mainstream, thanks to mesh dresses and more staying popular this summer. But Daddario’s look took see-through to an even more elegant level, and it’s a reminder that while she may be going to fewer events these days, when she does have a red carpet night, we're usually in for a treat. Here’s a look at the dress in its full glory. 

Her next red carpet jaunt should hopefully be coming soon. AMC announced Mayfair Witches Season 2 was filming just after the holidays. Production went on through April -- filming while Daddario was already pregnant --- and the show will also have a presence at San Diego Comic-Con this week, so here's hoping we get some great 2024 TV schedule news then. In the meantime, I'm all about these throwbacks.

Alexandra Daddario has had quite a career. She started out with her breakthrough role in Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief, and later transitioned into more adult roles, which includes leading the Mayfair Witches series inspired by Anne Rice’s novels. Like many actors, Daddario has experienced all the ups and downs that Hollywood throws at you. From box office bombs to small screen hits, the Baywatch actress recently opened up about what different roles have done for her career, and how True Detective and The White Lotus are touchstones. 

In a profile for Man of Many, Daddario chatted with the publication about some of her experiences within the entertainment world, and the “finicky” nature of a creative career. While some roles never truly hit for her, there are many formative ones that hold a special place in her heart for personal reasons. Others, however, did gain traction. 

True Detective, for example, was a major moment for her and did wonders for her landing jobs, which she has embraced. She explained: 

For context, Daddario appeared in four episodes of the first season of True Detective. She played Lisa Tragnetti, a court reporter and mistress of Woody Harrelson’s Martin Hart. 

Due to the popularity of the show, and one notable racy scene between Harrelson and Daddario, the spotlight on the actress got bigger, leading to her becoming a much more recognizable face. 

However, Alexandra Daddario’s career started to dwindle before the buzzy HBO series, The White Lotus. However, after Mike White's show came out, her acting career really took off. She said:

Such a life-altering career moment doesn’t come every day, and she knows that from personal experience. The actress received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie for her work on the first season of The White Lotus, and she seemingly out of nowhere became one of the biggest young stars on the small screen. 

She is hyper-aware of the rarity of the moment, and she expressed gratitude towards her career success as a result. Daddario also reflected on the experience in the context of it being a COVID production, where they were mostly isolated at the Four Seasons resort in Maui, Hawaii. She said:

The anthology nature of The White Lotus means Daddario likely won’t be coming back for another season of the successful show, however, she has expressed the desire to return to the hotel-centered dramedy. Even if she isn’t able to reprise her role, the positive life changes she’s had as a result of the series continue. 

She is no longer an up-and-coming actress, but a must-have leading lady. She also continues to participate in indie films, with her latest, A Tree Fell in the Woods expected to hit cinemas in the near future.

For many jobs out there, an employee announcing pregnancy news won’t necessarily change anything too much for coworkers, but that changes just a bit when it comes to filming a TV show. Just ask Alexandra Daddario, who discovered she was pregnant as the second season of the upcoming horror series Mayfair Witches was going into production in New Orleans for Season 2. As such, there was much vomiting and making out to be had, and without it even being a Mardi Gras thing.

For those who may have somehow missed the news, Daddario shared the surprising news that she’s pregnant with her and husband Andrew Form’s first child together. But while fans may have been shocked to hear news about the trend-setting celeb’s bun in the oven, certain cast and crew members from Mayfair Witches were understandably quick to pick up on the changes.

For one, she was dealing with the age-old issue of morning sickness, all while having to film a show in which her character Rowan Fielding, who had her own baby in Season 1, has romantic entanglements. (To say nothing of filming Mayfair Witches’ freakiest and most frightening sequences.) As such, it wasn’t that far into the shoot when Daddario realized she would need to get candid, telling Vogue:

In fact, the actress said even beyond the vomiting being a big clue, she also unwittingly tipped off co-star Ben Feldman when she declined a turkey sandwich with the explanation that she couldn’t eat deli meats. She tried to refute his assumption with casual ease, but wasn’t wholly successful.

By the time it became clear that she couldn’t hide her pregnancy any further, she became optimistic that it would be a net positive for others to know, thinking she would be able to take more formal breaks, but that was just a pipe dream. It wasn’t ever a problem, though, thanks to co-stars who understood the changes she was going through. As she put it:

While she wasn’t able to hide her impending blessing for too long in her professional life, she had a far more successful time keeping the news from her fans, thanks to specific outfit choices at public events, as well as specific poses for bikini beach shots. Power to her for keeping it going as long as possible.

Now fans will no doubt be looking for which kissing moments in Mayfair Witches Season 2 were filmed just after Daddario spewed behind the scenes. Not exactly the most straightforward way to be excited about a TV show, but it counts.

Without a premiere date set just yet, the second season of Mayfair Witches will arrive on AMC and with an AMC+ subscription in late 2024.

It seems that there’s something in the water, as it feels like a number of Hollywood stars have revealed pregnancies as of late. That’s not bad, though, as said A-listers have been reveling in the fact that they have sweet bundles of joy on the way. She announced the news in a sweet way and adorably referenced fellow soon-to-be first-time moms Margot Robbie and Hailey Bieber in the process. 

Alexandra Daddario confirmed that she and husband Andrew Form are expecting by way of a cover story done with Vogue. As part of the spread, the 38-year-old actress took part in a fun photoshoot, in which she showed off her baby bump. Around the same time that Vogue published its story, the Mayfair Witches actress herself took to her own IG to share the news. In doing so, she shared a pic from her photoshoot. But what really grabs the attention is the cheeky nod she made towards her fellow pregnant Hollywood starlets: 

27-year-old Hailey Bieber is expecting her first child with her Grammy-winning husband, Justin. The Biebers announced the pregnancy back in May with an artsy video that drew responses from a plethora of stars. Days later, it was believed that Justin’s mom teased that twins were on the way, though she set the record straight. That aside, fans also believe the Biebers have teased the gender of their child. 34-year-old Margot Robbie’s first pregnancy with hubby Tom Ackerley was reported this past weekend, and the two have yet to speak out about the news.

What I find to be really funny about Alexandra Daddario’s caption is that her assertion could actually become a reality. She – as well as the stars she name-dropped – do all live in California. So the idea of their children all attending the same school as toddlers isn’t that far-fetched. Personally, I kind of like the thought of all three starlets or their spouses all showing up for pick-up at the end of a school day.

The Percy Jackson veteran, who’s been embracing her own style as of late, told Vogue that she’s “overjoyed” to be pregnant. And, as she revealed, it’s particularly special since she experienced a miscarriage some time ago. It would seem that now, though, she’s looking to move past that “very, very painful” time and look towards the future. I’m excited for her and from this point on, won’t stop wondering if that future will include a carpool that involves the two stars she mentioned.

Congratulations are definitely owed to Alexandra Daddario and her family. One hopes that this pregnancy will go smoothly and that she’ll soon be cradling a beautiful baby! And, of course, we also wish the same for both Hailey Bieber and Margot Robbie.

However, the actress admits that she’s also seen some pretty significant low points in her career, so much so that she’s sometimes wondered if her career was over. She specifically remembers the Baywatch movie, which had a great deal of hype, but ended up flopping pretty hard.

Daddario admits there was one “bad” movie that hurt a bit more than others. She joined the Baywatch cast alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. The size and scope of the movie were big, and it was based on an incredibly popular TV series. Unfortunately, the movie was not the hit that many were hoping for. Daddario continued… 

As the female lead of Baywatch Alexandra Daddario wasn’t just in Baywatch, she was a significant presence in the film's promotion. Daddario also trained hard for the movie, as did her co-star, Zac Efron, who has complained about what he put his body through. As such, she likely felt the movie was far more important to her career than some of the other things she had done. Had it been a hit, it likely would have been great for her career. 

It seems that Alexandra Daddario has taken the bad movies and rather than simply look at them as potential career stumbling blocks, she now sees them as learning experiences. She knows that careers in Hollywood, not just hers, are tough, and she now thinks it's good to have had these experiences, as it likely helps her in the long run.

Following Alexandra Daddario’s Emmy-nominated performance in The White Lotus, the actress is back on top. She seems comfortable there.

In the world of fashion, two people wearing the same outfit is normally frowned upon, and I’ve never really understood why. I don’t think it’s weird for folks to wear the same garments, and when two people do end up matching, it can be a super cute moment. Case and point, fashion icons Alexandra Daddario and Brie Larson wore the same black dress with white polka dots to an event, they leaned into the coincidence, and it was amazing.

Both actresses were attending a press conference for the Filming Italy 2024 in Cagliari, Italy when they were photographed in the dress. They fully leaned into their matching moment too, as they posed for a photo with John David Washington, which you can see below:

In a way, this reminds me of the time Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya wore matching jumpsuits to a Dune: Part Two event. When it comes to matching, it’s all about mentality. If you look embarrassed to be wearing the same thing, people probably won’t like it. However, if you confidently lean into it, you can make it a serious fashion moment.

Adding to this fun matching situation, Daddario and Larson also showed off their unique aesthetics through how they styled the dress. As you can see in the image above, The White Lotus star is carrying a cute tan woven purse, while The Marvels actress paired the dress with a red handbag. Other photos showed that their shoe choices differed too, as Daddario rocked white sneakers while Larson wore strappy sandals.

If anything, both these women wearing this dress proves it's a must-have item.

Dwayne Johnson has made some huge blockbuster movies. He’s also made films that failed to find an audience. But one of his movies, San Andreas, defies simple categorization. The movie was that rare non-franchise project that wasn’t just successful but was a massive hit. There has been talk of making a sequel for years, and that talk may start up again following Alexandra Daddario’s San Andreas reunion, which almost, but not quite, included The Rock.

Daddario played Dwayne Johnson’s daughter in San Andreas and she had a bit of a reunion with a pair of her cast members recently. Daddario posted an image to Instagram of her, along with Carla Gugino, who played her mother, and Ioan Gruffudd, who played her mother’s boyfriend. Dwayne Johnson was the only one missing from the “family” reunion, so Daddario added him, though it's not exactly the world's best photoshop job.

It’s a pretty good family reunion. Unfortunately, Dwayne Johnson could only be there in spirit. The man is hard at work on his next film, The Smashing Machine, about MMA star Mark Kerr. Johnson recently showed off the injuries he is receiving while filming, so he was probably too busy getting beat up to hang out with his co-stars. It's nice that they were thinking of him though.

Still, the picture reminds us that we’ve been promised a San Andreas 2 for years now, but the movie has yet to materialize. The first San Andreas, which is currently available to all with a Max subscription, was arguably Dwayne Johnson’s biggest movie ever, at least at the time. It’s still one of his highest-grossing movies ever that’s not a Fast & Furious or Jumanji film. 

In San Andreas Johnson was the one big star and the movie showed he could be a box office draw on his own. It’s not a surprise that there has been talk about a sequel. Despite the fact that the original movie is almost 10 years old at this point, as recently as 2021 Johnson indicated that a follow-up was still in the cards. 

Of course, The Rock is such a star now that there are more upcoming Dwayne Johnson movies than the man could possibly have time to make. As such, San Andreas 2 has been put on the back burner, along with other sequels like the Jungle Cruise 2 which is also nowhere in sight. As far as we know both movies are still planned, we just don’t know when they’ll actually get around to making them, or which one we might see first. 

We may never actually see San Andreas 2 if there’s always something more important for Dwayne Johnson to get involved in. If that’s the case, this picture may honestly be as close as we ever come. 

Alexandra Daddario has made a career out of looking bikini fit for roles. She’s had to be fit for gigs like The White Lotus and San Andreas, but the real test for her was Baywatch, a movie in which the actress not only had to look good in swimwear, but also had to be able to really move in said costume. Recently, her trainer on the movie revealed it took a lot more work than you might guess to earn her Baywatch bod. 

The actress has said in the past she started training for a bigger butt with Baywatch, but I guess I didn’t realize the intense work that went into that. In fact, it took a whopping six months to whip her into shape before filming even started, and her trainer Patrick Murphy was really candid about their goals in an interview with Women’s Health.

Listen, I expect to hear intense stories about months and months of workouts when someone signs on to play a Marvel character. However, Baywatch was essentially an R-rated comedy with some action components, so it’s a little shocking it would require that many months of effort to gain the level of fitness required to be comfortable with bikini closeups. Obviously it did take a lot of effort behind-the-scenes before filming even started. The maintenance piece during filming actually sounds like the more fun part. 

It makes sense, though. Daddario’s co-star in the movie Zac Efron notably also put a ton of work in after landing the gig to get down to a really minute body fat percentage. He has said repeatedly he does not recommend training this way for anything, noting he could feel “the lack of carbohydrate.’ He also said worrying about only having a four-pack instead of a six-pack due to water weight in certain scenes also left him incredibly stressed out, and called the whole Baywatch experience “stupid.” 

It was tough on Efron, though Alexandra Daddario has called her own look at the time a “sexier, hotter version of myself.” She said that before Baywatch, she was all about “hot yoga” and that it took her partnership with Patrick Murphy to realize how important strength training actually is for her health. 

The trainer and the star have continued to work together in the years after Baywatch hit theaters, noting she feels “stronger and healthier” since she’s gotten into a routine with the popular celebrity trainer, who also marks Zac Efron, Keanu Reeves and more among his celebrity clients. Baywatch faced headwinds with bad reviews, and may not have moved the box office needle a ton, but it certainly got the actress moving, and it sounds like it’s been a major positive in her life. 

At the 2024 Met Gala, we saw so many stars stun in floral or garden-inspired looks. For example, Jennifer Lopez rocked a silver see-through number, while Zendaya wore a sleek peacock-colored dress and a black gown with a hat made of flowers. Alexandra Daddario and Mindy Kaling were also there, donning wonderful looks that fit The Garden of Time theme, and now they’re bringing the florals into the summer, and I love it.

Alexandra Daddario Went To The F1 Grand Prix Of Monaco In A Lovely Yellow And White Dress

Alexandra Daddario was living the high life in Monaco, and she was doing it in style. The White Lotus star is known for embracing trends, like the sheer one, in her own way, and now she’s hopefully helping florals make a comeback.

Along with going all in on black bikini summer, the actress is hopping on the flower-based trend this season as she posted a round-up from the F1 Grand Prix of Monaco on her Instagram. Along with videos of the race and images of the yachts, she shared some photos of the gorgeous yellow dress she wore on race day, as you can see in the image above. 

She appeared to be there with the brand Tag Heuer (she’s an ambassador for the luxury watch company), and she posed for selfies with Nicholas Galitzine and Kelsey Merritt. 

However, what I can’t take my eyes off is that gorgeous yellow dress – which has pockets, might I add. I love the white base and how it contrasts with the bright yellow flowers and deep green leaves, plus she gets bonus points for the fact that her VIP badge matches the fit. 

Honestly, the ensemble mixed with the event just screams summer!

Mindy Kaling Rocked A Gorgeous Off-The-Shoulder Pink And Whtie Floral Gown

Do you know who else was embracing florals for summer recently? Mindy Kaling. The actress showed up to the Warner Bros. Discovery Upfronts on May 15 looking fresh in her flowery dress. While her Met Gala look took florals in an avante-garde direction, this fit from her was classic. 

Mindy Kaling wore a wonderful midi-length dress to the event that featured pink and red flowers with deep green leaves on a white background. It also featured an off-the-shoulder moment with spaghetti straps, making the top of the look super unique. She paired it with some black pumps, and overall, she showed up ready for business. 

While at this Warner Bros. event, Kaling spoke about the upcoming season of Sex Lives of College Girls, per Deadline, and her look was perfect for both it and summer. 

Last summer, we saw The Mindy Project star in some on-trend swimsuits, and now we get to see her in these lovely floral dresses. All around, it’s just further proof that Mindy Kaling is a fashion queen.

Overall, both Alexandra Daddario and Mindy Kaling looked fun and fresh in their floral dresses, and now I’m really hoping this sweet look will become a trend.
