Ever since The Big Bang Theory ended, Kaley Cuoco has been keeping busy with a number of new movies and TV shows (especially thrillers as of late), but she’s also been settling down and starting a family with fiancé Tom Pelphrey. After welcoming their firstborn back in 2023, the couple has just announced they are expecting another child together, and their Hollywood community is sending all the good vibes.

Cuoco took to Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to share that she and Pelphrey are “completing our little family” with a new member soon! Check out her post below:

So many of Kaley Cuoco’s Hollywood family have some sweet words for the momma who’s about to have two daughters! Alyssa Milano and Cuoco go way back, as they were co-stars on Charmed back in 2005. Milano has two kids herself, but they are much older (11 and 14).

Cuoco and Behrs both had CBS shows on for six seasons. Behr has one daughter who’s around the same age as Matilda! Previously, Behrs shared an interest in their daughters being friends, per Us Weekly.

The actress's sister Briana must be particularly excited because she’s about to be an aunt again!

Then there’s Lauren Lapkus, who was one of Cuoco’s co-stars on The Big Bang Theory.

The other three notable comments come from fellow actresses who are in Cuoco’s Hollywood social circle.

Having support when you’re about to parent a whole new human being is so vital, and it looks like Cuoco is getting the love over on social media. In the post, she got honest about her second pregnancy being “a little windier in many ways” without expanding too much on why.

Last time around, Cuoco was on set while pregnant, and she posted instances of falling asleep at work and needing help out of chairs. She became pregnant shortly before production was set to begin and was able to work her real-life pregnancy into the storyline of the Peacock series, Based on a True Story, with the creators.

Cuoco's mom era hasn't stopped her from staying booked and busy. She recently had a miniseries on the 2026 TV schedule with the MGM+ series Vanished coming out, and she has recently been filming the upcoming HBO Max series How To Survive Without Me.

2026 has had a number of tragic celebrity deaths already, including Eric Dane's passing and the death of James Van Der Beek. These both quickly went viral as did GoFundMe campaigns that'll benefit their families following tons of medical costs. While there has been some backlash from folks who don't understand why Hollywood "elites" would need this aid, Alyssa Milano recently broke down exactly why they're necessary.

Both Van Der Beek and Dane's GoFundMe campaign have raised a ton of money, which will no doubt be a relief to their families. Some folks thought that since these late actors have iconic tenures in shows like Dawson's Creek and Grey's Anatomy (both of which are streaming with a Hulu subscription), they didn't really need the money. But Alyssa Milano took to Substack to address this discourse, with the Charmed star writing:

She's already spitting some serious facts. While years ago actors were able to make a living on residuals, that's simply not the case anymore. Now these checks are super small, especially with streaming becoming more popular than the purchase of physical media. Hollywood's financial setup is in a very different place, and when you add in the medical expenses for both Eric Dane and James Van Der Beek, it stands to reason that the late actors' families might need the support.

Milano's Substack post helps to peel back the curtain on the reality of being a TV star at this point in time. She went on to share how the industry has morphed in recent years, claiming:

Milano also cites so many actors joining places like Cameo to help make more of an income, since residuals are no longer as profitable. Many also sell their gently used clothes to help make more money. She continued to defend the need for those famous GoFundMes, writing:

This certainly helps to provide some context about why both Dane and Van Der Beek's family might need assistance during this difficult time. Alyssa Milano has been a TV star a long time and she knows firsthand how the financial institution has morphed over the years. And this might help to quell the chatter of naysayers who didn't understand why the late actors' families needed GoFundMes.

Back in May of 2025, Evangeline Lilly revealed that she had passed out and hit her face on a boulder. The actress, who stepped away from performing in 2024, posted photos of the damage and showed how beat up her face was because of the incident. Now, she’s shared some of the long-lasting issues that have cropped up because of this, specifically revealing that she has brain damage. However, while this is bad news, she’s handling it well, and many celebrities, including Michelle Pfeiffer and Alyssa Milano, are showing up to support the actress.

Evangeline Lilly Explained She Has Brain Damage Following Boulder Accident

While social media is full of fans wondering if Lilly will return to the MCU, she’s been using her Instagram to keep them updated on her health and healing journey. As I mentioned, last year, she posted on her Substack (via People) that she had “fainted at the beach,” which led to her hitting her face on a boulder. It was unclear why she blacked out in that moment, and as she healed from it, she was forced to “drop everything” to slow down.

Now, she’s shared a new update months after the incident. Tragically, it has led to more health issues, and she revealed that after a brain scan, they learned that her “brain is functioning at a decreased capacity.” She said:

She went on to say that there are a few things that could be causing it, and she’ll be working with doctors to figure it out and heal. Diving into how she’s feeling right now, the Lost star said:

While this has clearly been a tough time for her, Lilly did note that her “cognitive decline” has “helped” her “slow down.” She also said she had the “calmest, most restful Christmas holiday” because of this. Her gratitude was also on full display, as she noted how “extraordinarily grateful and blessed” she felt to keep living life. Finally, she noted how much she appreciates everyone for “caring.” And that care kept going in the comments.

After Evangeline Lilly shared this candid update on Instagram, her comments were flooded with love and support. If you’ve watched the Marvel movies in order, you know that this first comment from Michelle Pfeiffer means a whole lot, as she posted:

This is reminiscent of what happened to Jeremy Renner three years ago. After he was hit by a snowplow, many actors, including Lilly, shared their support for him. And over the last few years, he’s been open about the challenges of the healing process and the gratitude he has for living and getting better.

Now, as the actress continues to heal, I’m sure she’ll share more updates about her journey. She does not have any projects on the 2026 movie schedule and hasn’t acted in years. However, as we learn more about how she’s doing, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

While many Americans celebrated Labor Day weekend with the usual lineup of new streaming releases, college football, back yard barbecues and hanging out with family, Nimona actress Chloë Grace Moretz was experiencing one of the most joyous days of her still-youthful life. The celeb spent the weekend (and then some) celebrating her wedding nuptials with new spouse Kate Harrison and all manner of other festivities, and many of Moretz’s famous friends and fans chimed in to congratulate the couple.

Moretz started dating Harrison, a photographer and model, in 2018, two years after the former split up from Brooklyn Beckham. They’re purposefully kept themselves out of the spotlight over the years to avoid negative paparazzi moments, prioritizing their privacy. Still, they did go public confirming their engagement on January 1, 2025, with Moretz showing off their shared diamonds. Now, the big day has come and gone, with the Kick-Ass vet opting to go with a gorgeous blue-toned dress, while Harrison donned a more traditional white fit.

Last heard in Netflix’s animated graphic novel adaptation Nimona, Chloë Moretz Grace will make a big splash in the back half of the 2025 movie schedule with Michael Showalter’s Christmas-set comedy Oh. What. Fun.,costarring Michelle Pfeiffer, Danielle Brooks, Denis Leary and many more.

She’ll also be part of the impending romantic comedy Love Language from Joey Power, with a slew of co-stars such as Anthony Ramos, Manny Jacinto, Lukas Gage, Isabel May and more. I don't imagine that movie will match up with her real-life love story, however.

Julian McMahon, the Australian actor whose credits spanned both TV and film, unfortunately passed away this past week. According to reports, McMahon died following a battle with cancer, which he kept private. Since the news broke, fans have taken to social media to share their condolences and pay tribute to the late star. Additionally, some of McMahon’s former co-stars have also memorialized him, and that includes Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs, who worked with McMahon on Charmed.

As a member of the Charmed cast, Julian McMahon played Cole Turner. He remained a regular cast member from Season 3 to 5 but also returned for a guest spot in Season 7. During his tenure on the show, McMahon worked closely with Phoebe Halliwell actress Alyssa Milano, who played his on-screen love interest. After news of McMahon’s death broke, Milano took to Instagram to share photos. The “heartbroken” actress also noted McMahon’s “talent,” “charisma” and “smile” before discussing their work on the show:

On the WB show (which is streamable with a Peacock subscription), Cole is a half human/half demon who’s sent to kill Phoebe and her sisters. However, the two eventually fall in love and, after Cole eliminates the more unsavory half of himself, he and Phoebe tie the knot. The marriage doesn’t last, given Cole takes another villainous turn, yet their relationship is still loved by fans today. Of course, while on the show Julian McMahon also worked with Holly Marie Combs, who played Piper Halliwell, and she honored him on IG:

While Holly Marie Combs also included a couple of photos in her post, her message really hits hard. The last bit of the tribute is particularly bittersweet, as the “lady friend” Combs is likely referring to is fellow Charmed alum Shannen Doherty. Known for playing Prue Halliwell on the show’s first three seasons, Doherty passed away in 2024 following a lengthy battle with cancer.

Julian McMahon’s own cancer diagnosis was revealed by his wife, Kelly, who released a statement that was shared with Deadline. Kelly confirmed that Julian died on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida. She also asked “for support during this time to allow [her] family to grieve in privacy.”

Throughout the course of his career, McMahon shined in more than a few notable roles and supplanted himself within a few notable fandoms. He received praise for his role as Dr. Christian Troy on the acclaimed medical drama Nip/Tuck and earned a Golden Globe nomination for his work. McMahon also played Jess LaCroix on FBI and its spinoffs, even leading Most Wanted before leaving after Season 3. In terms of film, McMahon starred in productions like Premonition, Red and most recently, The Surfer, but he’s arguably most famous for playing Victor Von Doom/Doctor Doom in two Fantastic Four films. (Just months ago, McMahon positively reacted to Robert Downey Jr. taking over the role.)

It’s honestly hard to believe that Julian McMahon is no longer with us. What I find comforting, however, is how his Charmed co-stars and fans are now honoring him. Considering the way his work has penetrated the culture, I’m confident that his contributions to TV and film will be appreciated for years to come. At present, though, we here at CinemaBlend extend our condolences to McMahon’s loved ones during this time.

Elsbeth is currently on a mini break in the 2025 TV schedule, but CBS dropped some exciting news to tide fans over until the next new episode in early April. The primetime drama with a knack for recruiting celebrities to play killers is bringing back a bunch of them for the Season 2 finale in May. I'm already excited to see them again, but I also can't help but wonder if the in-universe reasoning for all these killers coming back is because Elsbeth herself is in trouble.

The Season 2 finale is called "Ramen Holiday" and will air on Thursday, May 8 at a special time earlier than usual on CBS. I already got a kick out of the title, since it's presumably a play on words for the classic Audrey Hepburn film, Roman Holiday, after Elsbeth went full Breakfast at Tiffany's for Halloween. The network's description of the finale doesn't give much away, though. It reads:

The episode was written by showrunner and executive producer Jonathan Tolins, and fans won't have to wait more than a month for details of which familiar suspects will appear in the finale. Fans can count on the return of the True Blood star who was Elsbeth's very first killer as well as some much more recent guests. Check out the list:

Weeds alum Mary-Louise Parker arrives in the new Season 2 episode on April 3 and Wicked's Ethan Slater appears in the April 10 episode, before both return for the finale in May. Jonathan Tolins previewed what's to come, complete with crediting the former guest stars going above and beyond to return:

Elsbeth has a knack for endearing herself even to the murderers of the week, so I normally wouldn't think there's much risk in her encountering any of them again. In light of Judge Milton Crawford as her Season 2 nemesis, though, I can't help but wonder if Michael Emerson's character has a scheme to use the killers against her in a court that he controls. Elsbeth certainly has unconventional methods, and if anybody on this show could – or would – exploit that for their own gains, it would have to be Crawford.

All of this said, I'm excited in particular to see the guest stars from early Season 1 who will be returning. Elsbeth has become a major hit for CBS, and it could be fun to look back at some of the show's first killers when Carrie Preston's character was still the new kid on the block.

And fortunately, Elsbeth was renewed for Season 3 weeks before the news broke about the finale's stacked guest lineup, so fans haven't had to worry about whether or not the end is nigh. There are still a number of episodes left before the finale on May 8, though, and you can look forward to the next new installment on Thursday, April 3 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.

A great performance from a precocious young actor can steal scenes and even entire movies and TV shows. Like the kids on this list, who have so much personality at such a young age it's crazy. From TV stars like Gary Coleman on Diff'rent Strokes to supporting roles in movies that end up being the most-talked-about bits of the films, like Jonathan Lipnicki in Jerry Maguire, these kids are just oozing charm and talent. 

Shirley Temple

You can't have a list like this without the original Hollywood kid star, the great Shirley Temple. Though Temple acted in films into her late teens before retiring in 1950, she is really best remembered for her roles as a clever witty kid in movies like 1935's Curly Top and 1936's Stowaway. After Temple retired, she went on to have a successful career as a spokesperson and even a foreign diplomat. 

Macaulay Culkin

There are very few kids that could ever carry a movie, much less a franchise, like Macaulay Culkin did with the Home Alone movies. The first movie is one of the most successful movies of all time, and while the entire cast of Home Alone is amazing, the movie would not be the same with anyone else as Kevin McCallister. 

Quvenzhané Wallis

Quvenzhané Wallis' performance in Beasts of the Southern Wild is, in all senses, a revelation. Her performance is so powerful and nuanced on a level that even many adult actors can't match. It was so good, that Wallis became the youngest actress ever nominated for an Academy Award. 

Ke Huy Quan

Ke Huy Quan comeback with his amazing, award-winning performance in Everything Everywhere All At Once was the feel-good story of 2022. It came, of course, four decades after he first blew audiences away with roles like Short Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple Of Doom and Data in The Goonies, where he showed just how much personality a kid can have on screen. 

Peter Billingsley

For a generation of kids, A Christmas Story is THE definite Christmas movie. It was so popular that for a time, it would run a loop on cable TV around the holiday. Of course, while the whole cast is memorable, Peter Billingsley's role as Ralphie is the one people talk about the most. 

Soleil Moon Frye

The 1980s were awash with precocious kids leading shows and few were on a higher level than Punky Brewster. The lead character, played by Soleil Moon Frye, found herself in all kinds of spots, usually funny, though sometimes serious and Frye could handle it all. 

Emmanuel Lewis

For six seasons, Emmanuel Lewis brought joy to American homes as the orphaned Webster in the show with the same name. Like others in the decade, Lewis carried a network show with his comedic timing and cuteness. The diminutive Lewis, who was diagnosed with pituitary dwarfism, used his condition to his advantage, not to mention his great acting, to get people laughing everywhere. 

The Olsen Twins

Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are examples of kids who left acting behind, but their joint performance as Michelle Tanner in Full House will always be beloved by fans of the show. The twins both had enough personality to fill a soundstage when they played the role, starting when they were just babies. Incredible. 

Haley Joel Osment

Haley Joel Osment's big break came as the intense kid who could see dead people in The Sixth Sense. Like a few others on this list, he's a child star who is still acting today and it's not hard to see why given the talent he displayed at just 11 years old. 

Millie Bobby Brown

By the time Millie Bobby Brown was the ripe old age of 12, when she first starred in Stranger Things on Netflix, the actress was a seasoned vet. She had already had regular roles on a couple of TV shows both in the US and her native UK and had made a number of guest appearances on shows like NCIS and Grey's Anatomy. Of course, it would as a Eleven in Stranger Things that really proved how great she is. 

Christian Bale

Christian Bale is one of the best actors of his generation, something he started to prove very early in his life when he took on the starring role of a war orphan in  Steven Spielberg's Empire of the Sun. Bale was only 13 at the time and his performance is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It's hard to fathom the ability to do that as barely a teenager. 

Gary Coleman

There isn't a more famous catchphrase from 1980s TV than "Whatchu talkin' 'bout, Willis?" Of course, those words were part of seemingly every single episode of Diff'rent Strokes. Gary Coleman's role as Arnold, the orphaned kid taken in, with his brother, by Mr Drummond was one of the most popular characters of the decade.  

Anna Chlumsky

While Macaulay Culkin was the big "star" of My Girl when it was released, his counterpart, played by Anna Chlumsky is every bit as charming as wonderful as Caulkin. Chlumsky's talents were on full display as a kid, talents that would eventually earn her many Emmy nominations for her work as an adult in Veep.

Jonathan Lipnicki

Let's be honest, is there a cuter kid than Jonathan Lipnicki in Jerry Maguire? His charm and unintentional wit is totally off the charts in the rom-com. He even knows how much a human head weighs (8 pounds) and that bees and dogs smell fear. No too shabby. 

Tatum O'Neal

When Tatum O'Neal won the Oscar for starring alongside her father, Ryan O'Neal, in  Paper Moon in 1974 she became the youngest person to ever win the award at just age 10. That pretty much says it all. While other kids have been nominated, she was the first kid to win. She continued to show her talents and personality in movies like The Bad News Bears and Nickelodeon before personal problems derailed her promising career. 

Henry Thomas

Acor Henry Thomas has had a long career in TV and on film, but the movies we all best remember are when he was a child actor full of skill and personality in movies like E.T. and the underrated Cloak & Dagger. E.T. was one of the most successful movies of all time and is ranked as one of Steven Spielberg's best movies, thanks in large part to Thomas' performance. 

Jaleel White

It's true that Steve Urkel on Family Matters is one of the more polarizing characters in TV history, but Jaleel White's performance as the nerdy neighbor shouldn't be controversial. He was perfect in the role and people are still making references to it decades later, which tells you all you need to know. 

Hailee Steinfeld

In literature, there are few kids with more personality than Mattie Ross in Charles Portis' classic novel True Grit. It takes a young actor with an equally big personality to play her on-screen and in the Coen Brother's 2010 adaption, Hailee Steinfeld just crushes the role. 

Drew Barrymore

When you come from Hollywood royalty, like the Barrymore family, you'd better have some acting chops. Drew Barrymore proved just how great she was before she was even seven years old when she starred in her breakout role as Gertie in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. She continued acting as a kid in movies like Firestarter and Irreconcilable Differences, before moving on to adult roles and eventually, her own talk show. 

Keshia Knight Pulliam

The Cosby Show was among the most popular shows of the 1980s and while Bill Cosby was undoubtedly the star of the show, Keshia Knight Pulliam, who played the youngest Huxtable child, Rudy, stole a TON of scenes in every season. Who could ever forget the lip-syncing scenes with the whole family, and not immediately recall her legendary moments in those scenes? 

Hayley Mills

How about not one, but two roles that prove just how much personality one child actor can show off? For Hayley Mills, The Parent Trap wasn't her first movie, but it is the one most remembered from her child-acting days. She plays both twins in the movie and does it so well, that you'd swear it would have to be two people, even though they look alike. 

Abigail Breslin

Little Miss Sunshine was the surprise hit of 2006 and that was in no small part (pun intended) to Abigail Breslin's brilliant performance as Olive, the girl at the heart of the dysfunctional family's road trip. you know someone is a star when they stand out from a cast that includes Alan Arkin, Paul Dano, Steve Carell, and Toni Collette.

Anna Paquin

These days Anna Paquin is probably best known for her work in the X-Men series, but she really burst onto the scene as an 11-year-old in The Piano, for which she became one of the youngest actors to ever win an Academy Award. More than three decades later she's still lighting up the screen. 

Alfonso Ribeiro

In the 1980s television was filled with precocious kids tearing it up on shows like Silver Spoons. Ricky Schroeder may have been the star as young Ricky, a role that launched his career, but his best friend, Alfonso, played by Alfonso Ribeiro, stole a lot of the scenes he was in. After Silver Spoons, Ribeiro danced into our hearts as Carlton on The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air. 

Natalie Portman

It is undeniable that Natalie Portman is one of the finest actors of her generation and her career all started when she was just 12 in Leon: The Professional. It's a complicated role, one that even many adult actors would struggle with, but Portman showed right away just what kind of acting chops she had in the movie. It's a challenging role for audiences, thanks to her fantastic performance. 

Alyssa Milano

Alyssa Milano's career has gone through some peaks and valleys, like many actors. One of the highest peaks came when she was just a kid, starring as Samantha in Who's The Boss?, a classic '80s sitcom. Tony Danza played her father and the chemistry between them was legendary. Maybe one day we'll get that reboot we've been waiting for. 

Jerry Mathers

In the whole history of American television, one of the most enduring characters has to be from its golden age in the 1950s, Beaver Cleaver. Played by Jerry Mathers, The Beav was an instant hit with kids and parents alike and the show ran for decades in reruns all over the country. Mathers even returned to play The Beaver during the Baby Boomer nostalgia fad of the 1980s. 

Keisha Castle-Hughes

When Keisha Castle-Hughes was nominated for an Oscar in her breakout role in The Whale Rider, she was the youngest person to ever receive that honor. Her performance is fully deserving of the praise she received and she's continued to receive well-earned praise for her roles in Game of Thrones as Obara Sand, and as Hana Gibson in FBI.

Jodie Foster

Playing a role like Jodie Foster played in Taxi Driver takes a truly special actor. Foster, who was just 14 when she played the complicated role, has gone on to have an incredible and empowering career in Hollywood, but it's hard to imagine her having a tougher assignment than that part, with such adult complications, in Taxi Driver. 

Dafne Keen

There is something so magical about kids playing roles that really wrestle with adult themes and one of the best recent examples is Dafne Keen in Logan. It's a complicated role, dealing with complicated subjects and Keen is sublime throughout the movie. 

Heather O'Rourke

Heather O'Rouke's all too tragic life was taken way too soon. The Poltergeist star died when she was just 12 years old, but in those 12 years, she left a heck of an impression on the world. Her performance in Poltergeist completely steals the legendary horror film. 

Natalie Wood

While Natalie Wood is too often remembered for all the wrong reasons, in her short life (she died when she was just 43), she packed a ton of memorable performances in that life. One of the most enduring has to be her role in Miracle on 34th Street, which came when she was just 9 years old. 

Charmed – the hit fantasy drama that aired for eight seasons on The WB – is still widely considered a cultural touchstone by man. In the years since the show wrapped its run in 2006, the cast has shared behind-the-scenes details about their experiences – both negative and positive. At the end of 2023, series alum Shannen Doherty made a major claim, as she alleged that former co-star Alyssa Milano is the reason she was fired from the show. Milano didn’t immediately respond to the allegation at the time, yet the actress has now addressed it. 

Shannen Doherty, who played Prue Halliwell during the show’s first three seasons, said that her exit was the result of a feud between her and her former co-star. As she stated on an episode of her Let’s Be Clear podcast, her on-screen sister gave the producers an ultimatum. The Phoebe Halliwell actress allegedly said that due to supposed tension between her and Doherty, one of them had to be fired and, she supposedly said that if she was let go, she’d sue over a hostile work environment. Doherty then alleged that her agent told that her departure would be framed as though she chose to leave the show willingly. The Mallrats alum apparently scoffed at the idea but ultimately went along with it. 

The subject was brought up to Alyssa Milano when she appeared at MegaCon Orlando. While the actress didn’t explicitly deny the claim made by her former scene partner, she did express sadness over the fact that drama still surrounds the show so long after its conclusion. In her exact words, which were captured by RoJay Armstead and shared to YouTube:

The Charmed cast member also opened up about how she’s personally tried to deal with the tumultuous situations that stemmed from her time on the show. She told the crowd in Orlando that she’s had to put in some work in order to put the “trauma” she’s experienced behind her. Additionally, she shared one wish that she holds: 

For her part, Shannen Doherty said during the podcast that she didn’t remember ever being "mean" to Alyssa Milano while on set. As for why she chose to share this latest information about why she was let go from the show, Doherty - who’s been discussing her stage 4 cancer diagnosis as of late – conveyed that she was tired of conveying a “narrative” that was not her truth.

Shannen Doherty apparently also had drama with another former alum from the show – Rose McGowan, who replaced Doherty following her departure. While the two seem to be on generally good terms today, McGowan previously spoke about their "feud," saying that they were pitted against each other by outside forces in the entertainment industry. 

Despite the rumors and drama that continue to swirl around the show, its legacy has lived on. Its enduring popularity is arguably what prompted The CW to debut a reboot in 2018. The OG Charmed stars seemed to be mostly fine with the notion of a new series, though Holly Marie Combs later shared some salty words. The show ultimately ran for four seasons before it was canceled in 2022. 

Whether the original cast will ultimately be able to resolve their differences remains to be seen. In the meantime, Alyssa Milano – as she later explained during her panel – hopes that the drama doesn’t "ruin" the love for the show. If the response from the people in attendance is any indication, there still seem to be fans who enjoy the series regardless.

The new year hasn’t meant quieter times for Britney Spears. Though the star has been free from her conservatorship for over a year now, she’s still been dealing with a number of rumors and fans' concerns about her well being. It was around mid-January, in fact, that someone got video of her and her husband, Sam Asghari, at a restaurant, where she was supposedly acting “manic” and speaking “gibberish,” which led to the “Gimmie More” singer posting a middle finger video. Now, she’s called out a celeb she doesn’t even know, Alyssa Milano, for posting about her.

What Did Britney Spears Say About Alyssa Milano’s Post About Her?

Obviously, devoted fans for the Princess of Pop have been known to give everything in her life very intense scrutiny, with Spears showing appreciation for their support after her conservatorship ended. However, with there being reports of her having problems over the past few weeks, the singer has admitted to being “on defense” about the attention, and needing to tone down her “kooky and silly” side so that people won’t say “she’s cray cray.” And, she recently took Who’s the Boss? alum, Alyssa Milano, to task on Instagram for publicly inquiring about her health:

While Milano’s tweet about the Crossroads star was simple enough, it clearly seems to have struck a nerve, which makes a lot of sense. The singer has been the focus of public attention for most of her life now, with a lot of that analysis being less than positive. Few people can imagine what it’s like to constantly have strangers talking about their personal lives as if they know them (her fans recently went so far as to call police for a wellness check, allegedly leaving Spears “annoyed,” which seems like a totally fair response), so even though there doesn’t appear to be any real negativity behind the post, to Spears it’s simply another person who doesn’t know anything about her or her daily life “bullying” her and dragging her down.

After looking at the actress’ Twitter feed to see what may have prompted the concern, and finding that most of her posts relate to political activism, securing equality for all types of people across the board, her work with UNICEF, and other positive topics, it’s not like she’s spending all of her time purposefully attempting to badmouth random celebs. So, it did make me wonder what happened to the embattled singer right before Christmas that could have led to the post.

It was right around this time that reports came out of Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and her father, Jamie (with whom she is still involved in a court battle over his handling of her conservatorship) speaking again and allegedly working together on a book about fatherhood, amid the “turmoil” Federline has experienced while parenting his sons with the superstar. She’s had problems with her ex recently, with him talking about her in a lengthy interview last year, and allowing their teen sons, Jayden and Sean, to speak about the “Toxic” singer as well.

Shortly after word of the collaboration between K-Fed and her dad, she posted a cheekily topless photo of herself where the caption complained about Instagram and also invited her mom (one of the many family members Spears has levied serious allegations at) to coffee. Either of these posts (or something else) could have led the Charmed star to post about the singer, but if she really didn’t mean any harm, and has seen how it impacted the legendary singer, she, hopefully, won’t do it again.

Yet another '80s sitcom is getting the revival treatment, as Who's the Boss? is the latest show to prepare for a comeback two years after its original announcement. Tony Danza is already set to return, as well as Alyssa Milano for an in-development sequel to the original show.  

Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano will reprise their roles from the original Who's the Boss? as Tony and Samantha Micelli. Deadline reported that in the upcoming sequel, Samantha is living with Tony in the family house as a single mother. The revival, much like the original, will look at the differences between generations of people, parenting, and provide a look at the modern family of today. 

The series is in development for Amazon's Freevee, with One Day At A Time's Mike Royce writing the series and serving as showrunner and executive producer. Brigitte Muñoz-Liebowitz is also attached to the series as an executive producer. 

Who's the Boss? had a successful run on television, and lasted for eight seasons over at ABC (and some might say that's too many seasons). Despite what naysayers might feel, the show earned some award recognition throughout its tenure, to the tune of ten Emmy nominations. That’s quite a reputation for a sequel series to live up to, even if the show only won one of those Emmys. 

The in-development sequel, assuming it makes it to series, will join the ranks of other sequel revivals like Fuller House, which ended its run a couple of years ago. Other revivals, like The Conners, are still finding success on television, so it’s fair to say that audiences aren’t tired of seeing classic characters come back in modern times. 

Given the success of the original series and the participation of the main stars, it'll be interesting to see how this show fares should it make it to series. Both Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano still have a solid amount of name recognition in pop culture, and I’m sure there are quite a few people who grew up watching Who’s the Boss? on television or syndication that will give the new series a shot. 

Who’s the Boss? sounds like a solid get for Amazon’s Freevee, which rebranded in April as an ad-supported streaming service. The service is quickly gaining more original shows and could further carve a path in the streaming wars with an offering like this. Of course, we’ll have to wait and see if it actually makes it to the platform first, as the potential series is still in the works.  

The follow-up to Who's the Boss? is in development, and it could be some time before audiences get to actually see an episode. Luckily, there's no shortage of new shows arriving, which means plenty of distractions until more information comes out on this exciting series.

Between the late 1990s and early 2000s, there were few channels as popular as The WB, and that was thanks in part to the network’s unique programming block that included shows like Charmed (which was later rebooted), which had great viewer ratings and was beloved by its target audience of teenage and young adult viewers. But, a lot of time has passed since the fantasy drama about a family of good witches aired its final episode in May 2006, and some former fans might be wondering what the large cast has been up to all these years.

Well, no need to cast a spell or look into a crystal ball, because we have put together a comprehensive list of the Charmed cast and how they’ve kept themselves busy for the past decade-and-a-half. 

Shannen Doherty (Prue Halliwell)

For the first three seasons of Charmed’s eight-season run, Shannen Doherty sat at the top of the show’s cast as Prue Halliwell, the oldest (and most powerful) of the three sisters. One of the most notable TV actresses of the 1990s, thanks to shows like Beverly Hills, 90210 and Charmed, Doherty has remained busy on the small screen as the years have gone by with a mixture of made-for-TV movies like No One Would Tell, Dying to Belong, and List of a Lifetime, as well as appearances on shows like Heathers, Riverdale, and BH90210 (another reboot of the iconic ‘90s program).

Holly Marie Combs (Piper Halliwell)

Throughout Charmed’s entire run, Holly Marie Combs played Piper Halliwell, the second oldest of the three main sister witches. Already a TV star before joining The WB fan-favorite thanks to a major role on Picket Fences, Combs has continued to have success on the small screen. In more recent years, Combs has appeared on Pretty Little Liars, Hell’s Kitchen, and most recently, Grey’s Anatomy in 2019.

Alyssa Milano (Phoebe Halliwell)

To fans of Charmed, Alyssa Milano will always be Phoebe Halliwell, but the prolific actress had a great deal of success both before and after playing a good witch. MIlano’s career, which kicked off with a starring role on the ‘80s sitcom Who’s the Boss?, has taken her talents far and wide the past few decades, with more recent stops on shows like Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, Insatiable, and The Now, as well as the 2022 Netflix movie Brazen.

Rose McGowan (Paige Matthews)

Rose McGowan didn’t join the Charmed cast as Paige Matthews until the show’s fourth season, but she more than made her mark on the smash hit series. Since the series concluded in May 2006, McGowan has gone on to appear in movies like Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino’s 2007 double-feature Grindhouse, The Sound, and a 2018 short film titled Indecision IV. And, even though she hasn’t appeared in a movie or scripted TV show since 2018, McGowan has remained busy as a vocal activist in recent years.

Brian Krause (Leo Wyatt)

Brian Krause played Leo Wyatt, the Halliwell sisters’ “whitelighter” for the duration of Charmed’s run as well as Piper’s husband later on. Although he has mostly appeared in movies like Poseidon Rex, Plan 9, and The Demonologist in more recent years, Krause has also had leading roles on TV shows like First Light and Cypher, as well as one-off appearances on the likes of Mad Men, Castle, and the Dynasty reboot, which currently airs on The CW.

Julian McMahon (Cole Turner/Belthazor)

Cole Turner, a.k.a. Belthazor, the on-again, off-again big bad and love interest of Phoebe Halliwell, is portrayed by Golden Globe-nominated actor Julian McMahon. Ever since departing the Charmed cast in 2005, McMahon has found success just about everywhere he turns, whether it be on shows like Nip/Tuck, Runaways, or Dick Wolf’s FBI franchise, having appeared on all three titles in the series. McMahon's film work includes the portrayal of iconic Marvel villain Dr. Doom in Fantastic Four and its 2007 sequel, Rise of the Silver Surfer, as well as the 2018 horror thriller Monster Party.

Dorian Gregory (Darryl Morris)

For all but the last season of Charmed, Dorian Gregory took on the role of Darryl Morris, a lieutenant with the San Francisco Police Department who helps the Halliwell sisters in a variety of ways. In the years since departing the series, Gregory has appeared on shows like Las Vegas, Without a Trace, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. In 2021, he showed up in the made-for-TV movie The Wrong Real Estate Agent as well as Twice Bitten.

Kaley Cuoco (Billie Jenkins)

Kaley Cuoco joined the Charmed cast as Billie Jenkins, a powerful character who can bend reality, in the show’s final season. Just one year after she concluded her one-season run on the hit show, Cuoco joined the cast of The Big Bang Theory and quickly became one of the brightest stars on TV. 

Once that show ended its historic run in 2019, Cuoco didn’t waste any time with her next move, which included providing the voice of the titular character in the adult animation series Harley Quinn, as well as playing the lead on the dramedy series The Flight Attendant, both of which are streaming on HBO Max. Cuoco, who also serves as the spokesperson for Priceline.com, will soon appear in Kevin Hart’s The Man from Toronto.

Ted King (Andy Trudeau)

Ted King, who previously went by T.W. King, appeared on Charmed Season 1 as Detective Andrew “Andy” Trudeau with the San Francisco Police Department. The ill-fated character wouldn’t make it out the show’s freshman season unscathed, but his career has done just fine since. Not long after he concluded his work on the series, he landed one-off roles on shows like JAG, Frasier, and even appeared as one of the man guest stars of Sex and the City. In 2021, King joined the cast of the long-running soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

James Read (Victor Bennett)

James Read wasn’t the first actor to portray the Halliwell sisters’ father (that honor goes to Anthony Denison), but since he played the character the most on Charmed, we’ll include him on this list.  The veteran of film, TV, and theatre, has continued to show up in various projects over the course of the past 16 years, with his most recent being gigs on daytime soap operas like General Hospital and Days of our Lives, on which he last appeared in 2021.

Jennifer Rhodes (Penny Halliwell)

Jennifer Rhodes appeared in a total of 15 episodes of Charmed  throughout the show’s run as Penelope "Penny" Halliwell, the mother figure of the Halliwell sisters who helped raise them following the death of their birth mother. Throughout the 2010s, Rhodes found success appearing on shows like Grey’s Anatomy, Mary + Jane, Teachers, and most recently, a 2019 episode of Grace and Frankie.

Finola Hughes (Patty Halliwell)

Patricia “Patty” Halliwell was the mother (who died years before the events of the series) of all four sisters on Charmed, and was portrayed by Finola Hughes. In the decade-and-a-half since the show concluded its run in 2006, the Staying Alive star has made appearances on a number of different soap operas including All My Children, General Hospital (where she's played Anna Devane on and off since 1985), and General Hospital: Night Shift, as well other series like Beware the Batman, Granite Flats, and CSI: NY. In 2020, she directed an episode of the Freeform series Good Trouble.

Rebecca Balding (Elise Rothman)

Joining the Charmed cast in the show’s fourth season, Rebecca Balding took on the role of Elise Rothman, Phoebe Halliwell’s editor and later close confidant. Balding retired from acting in 2006, with Charmed being her final performance. Prior to that, Balding appeared in movies like The Gathering and the 1981 horror film The Boogens. Balding also popped up on shows like ER, Beverly Hills, 90210, and MacGyver over the years.

Billy Drago (Barbas)

Billy Drago made appearances here and there as Barbas, the Demon of Fear, throughout most of Charmed’s run on The WB, with his final episode coming in the Season 7 opener. Over the years, Drago, who passed away in 2019, appeared in movies like The Untouchables, Dark Moon Rising, Pale Rider, and dozens of other productions. He also showed up on shows like Friday the 13th: The Series, Supernatural, and Masters of Horror.

Drew Fuller (Chris Halliwell)

And then there is Drew Fuller, who portrayed Chris Halliwell, the adult son of Leo and Piper who came back in time to prevent a great deal of misfortune from falling on his family (and humanity). Following his run as a member of the Charmed cast, Fuller went on to show up in movies like Fatal Instinct, The Night Before, and Beyond Brotherhood, as well as TV shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, Longmire, and Love, Fall, and Order in 2019, his most recent appearance.

Created by Greg Garcia, My Name Is Earl ran for nearly 100 episodes on NBC and earned critical acclaim and commercial success throughout its four seasons. While it unfortunately never got a chance to finish its run in a proper fashion, the series served as a great showcase for Jason Lee, as well as his co-stars Ethan Suplee, Jaime Pressley, Nadine Velazquez, and Eddie Steeples. While it's a shame to know that we'll never get a proper conclusion to this series, the cast has gone to work on a number of intriguing high-profile projects in the years to follow. With that said, let's take a look at what the cast of My Name Is Earl is doing now.

Jason Lee (Earl Hickey)

As our titular protagonist, Earl Hickey, Jason Lee plays a petty criminal who wins big in the lottery but is struck instantly by a passing car, resulting in him learning the hard way about karma. In an effort to cleanse his history of misdeeds and do right by the universe, Earl makes a list of every bad thing he's ever done and vows to do good deeds to repay for their misfortunes.

While his Golden Globe-nominated performance became one of his most high-profile to date, Lee was already proven as an actor, notably with his roles in Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, A Guy Thing, Heartbreakers, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Kissing A Fool, Almost Famous, and The Incredibles. In the years since the show began, Lee was notably seen in all four Alvin and the Chipmunks movies. He also voiced the title character in Underdog.

Additionally, Jason Lee starred in the short-lived series, Memphis Beat, and he can currently be heard in the animated series, We Bare Bears. Most recently, Lee was seen in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot and heard in We Bear Bears: The Movie. Outside of acting, Lee is the co-founder and co-owner of Stereo Skateboards, notably as he is a former skateboarder himself. He is also the co-owner of the restaurant Barley and Board. He also published a book of photography in 2016.

Ethan Suplee (Randy Hickey)

Playing Randy Hickey, Earl's loyal younger brother, Ethan Suplee played one of the lead roles in My Name is Earl. A prominent character actor on both the big and small screen, Suplee starred in Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Boy Meets World, American History X, Remember the Titans, The Butterfly Effect, Blow, John Q, Road Trip, and Cold Mountain before he starred in this acclaimed sitcom.

Since the show concluded, Suplee has most notably been seen in Brothers, Unstoppable, The Wolf of Wall Street, Walk of Shame, True Story, Deepwater Horizon, and Motherless Brooklyn. He also played a main role in Jennifer Falls and a main character on Chance, while also playing recurring roles in The Ranch and Santa Clarita Diet. Most recently, Suplee starred in The Hunt and three episodes of NBC's Good Girls. Suplee also starred in Gossamer Folds, which is hitting the festival circuits.

Jaime Pressly (Joy Turner)

In the role of Joy Turner, Earl's ex-wife who marries his friend, Darnell, Jaime Pressly was outstanding in her Emmy-winning performance on My Name Is Earl. Previously a model, Pressly starred in Poison Ivy: The New Seduction, Not Another Teen Movie, Joe Dirt, and Tomcats before she starred in this NBC series.

In the years since the show came to an end, Pressly joined the main cast of the short-lived show, I Hate My Teenage Daughter, and joined the main cast of CBS' Mom back in 2014. The actress also appeared in episodes of Two and a Half Men, Raising Hope, and Rules of Engagement. She has also been seen in movies such as DOA: Dead Or Alive, I Love You, Man, The Oogieloves in the Big Balloon Adventure, Austin Found, and A Haunted House 2, and her voice is heard in Horton Hears a Who.

Eddie Steeples (Darnell Turner)

As Darnell Turner, Joy's new husband and Earl's good friend, despite impregnating his wife while he was married to her, Eddie Steeples played a lovable role on My Name Is Earl. Before he landed his part on this NBC series, Steeples was best known as the "Rubberband Man" from a series of OfficeMax commercials. He is also known for his roles in Akeelah and the Bee, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Torque, and I Know Who Killed Me.

Since his time on My Name Is Earl, Steeples starred in the horror film, Would You Rather, while also appearing in Home Alone: The Holiday Heist and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip. He also played a recurring role in Raising Hope and a main cast role in The Guest Book. Up next, Steeples will be seen in the upcoming action-drama, Fallen Cards, and the short film, Hungry.

Nadine Velazquez (Catalina)

As Catalina, the beautiful housekeeper working at Earl and Randy's motel and the woman whom Randy has a crush on, Nadine Velazquez played one of the main characters on My Name Is Earl. Previously playing brief roles on Entourage and The Bold and the Beautiful, this show was Velazquez's first major role, notably as she turned down Prison Break to appear on it.

In the years since the series came to a close, Velazquez played prominent roles in The League and Major Crimes, while also playing recurring roles on Hart of Dixie and Real Husbands of Hollywood. The actress also starred in the short-lived series, Six, back in 2017-2018. She also appeared in episodes of CSI: NY, Scrubs, Hawaii Five-0, Arrested Development, and CSI: Miami. She also played prominent roles in War, Flight, Snitch, and Ride Along 2. She was last seen in 2019's A World Away.

Trey Carlisle (Earl Hickey, Jr.)

As Joy and Darnell's young son, Earl Hickey, Jr., Trey Carlisle was an adorable addition to My Name Is Earl. The show was easily the former child actor's most prominent role, though he also starred in a couple of episodes of All Of Us.

After the show wrapped, Carlisle mostly stopped acting. He can be seen in a couple of short films, Rising Sun and Outcast, from 2012 and 2015, respectively. The one-time actor did step behind-the-camera, however, for the short film History Lesson, which he wrote and directed in 2012. Carlisle also served as a second unit director on 2015's short film, Nobody's Perfect. Outside of these jobs, Carlisle has generally kept a low profile.

Noah Crawford (Young Earl)

As a younger version of Earl seen in flashbacks, Noah Crawford appeared regularly throughout My Name Is Earl's four-season run. The show was the former child actor's first role. Following in time on the series, Crawford notably joined the main cast of Nickelodeon's short-lived How To Rock. He was also seen in episodes of True Jackson, VP, K.C. Undercover, Rizzoli & Isles, The Real O'Neals, Bizaardvark, and Pair of Kings. He also starred in films like Land of the Lost and The Killer Inside Me and he played a lead role in 2013's TV movie, Swindle. Additionally, in 2016, Crawford, wrote, directed, starred in, and produced the fantasy/sci-fi short film, From Darkness His Name.

Louis T. Moyle (Dodge Hickey)

As Dodge Hickey, the oldest son of Joy, Louis T. Moyle was a constant presence throughout My Name Is Earl's run. Outside of this show, Moyle was only seen in one episode of Shark. It appears that the child actor left acting shortly after the NBC series came a close. He has kept a low profile since.

Dale Dickey (Patty)

As Patty, a middle-aged sex worker living in the county, Dale Dickey played a memorable recurring role in My Name Is Earl. A veteran actress with a great deal of experience on the stage and screen, Dickey appeared in episodes of The X-Files, Christy, Frasier, CSI, ER, Gilmore Girls, and Ugly Betty before and during her time on the NBC sitcom.

In the years since, Dickey's been seen on Breaking Bad, Raising Hope, The Middle, Sons of Anarchy, 2 Broke Girls, Shameless, and Grey's Anatomy. She also played recurring roles on Raising Hope, Justified, Claws, and Unbelievable, and she was seen in several episodes of Vice Principals. Dickey gained attention, including an Independent Spirit Award nomination, for her performance in Winter's Bone. She also appeared in Super 8, Iron Man 3, Hell or High Water, and, recently, Palm Springs. Next, she stars in Sean Penn's Flag Day.

Gregg Binkley (Kenny James)

As Kenny James, a former victim of Earl's childhood bullying, Gregg Binkley played a recurring role throughout all four seasons of My Name Is Earl. Prior to this performance, Binkley was seen in guest spots on Gilmore Girls, Malcolm in the Middle, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, The Drew Carey Show, Full House, and more.

Since his time on the show, Binkley appeared in State of Play, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, and Cafe Society. He also played a prominent role in Raising Fox. On television, Binkley has starred in Hitting the Brakes, Kirby Buckets, and Diary of a Future President. His most recent role was in Finding Love in Quarantine. The actor also wrote for Dads in Park and directed episodes of The Beverlys.

Mike O'Malley (Stuart Daniels)

As Stuart Daniels, an incompetent police officer, Mike O'Malley played a recurring role throughout My Name Is Earl. Best known as the host of the Nickelodeon game show Guts and the star of Yes, Dear, O'Malley is a comedian/actor with a great deal of acting experience on television.

In addition to his role on My Name Is Earl, he appeared Parenthood, Justified, Parks and Recreation, Raising Hope, The Good Place, Get Shorty, The Morning Show, and Wayne. He also played a prominent role in Glee, for which he was Emmy-nominated. O'Malley was also a writer and creator of the Starz series, Survivor's Remorse, and he starred in films like Eat, Pray, Love, Cedar Rapids, R.I.P.D., Concussion, and Sully. He's currently playing a main role in Snowpiecer, based on the film of the same name. He also co-wrote the musical Escape to Margaritaville with Greg Garcia.

Billy Gardell (Jeff Hoyne)

In the role of Jeff Hoyne, another incompetent police officer, Billy Gardell was seen throughout the third and fourth seasons of My Name Is Earl. The comedian previously played recurring roles in Yes, Dear, Lucky, The Practice, and Judging Amy before he signed onto this sitcom.

Since then, he's been notably seen in the popular series, Mike & Molly, alongside Melissa McCarthy, which ran from 2010 through 2016. He picked up roles in Sullivan & Son, Sun Records, Phineas & Ferb, Angie Tribeca, and Young Sheldon before he landed a new television series with CBS' Bob Hearts Abishola, which premiered last year. He also starred in films like Jersey Boys, Undrafted, and Once Upon a Time in Venice. He also provided the voice of Santa in the TV special, Ice Age: A Mammoth Christmas. Additionally, Gardell previously hosted the short-lived game show series, Monopoly Millionaires' Club.

Alyssa Milano (Billie Cunningham)

Playing Billie Cunningham, a criminal once married to Earl, Alyssa Milano appeared throughout the third season of My Name Is Earl. Best known for her roles on Who's the Boss? and Charmed, she also starred in Melrose Place for a number of seasons. She has kept working on television and the big screen, notably with lead roles in Insatiable and Mistresses, as well as roles in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later, Romantically Challenged, New Year's Eve, Hall Pass, and Little Italy, to only name a few. Nowadays, she's known for her prominent activism work. Milano is also soon set to be seen in the upcoming series, The Now.

Television has brought back a number of classic comedies for reboots and revivals in recent years, ranging from the short-lived Roseanne to Will & Grace to even Mad About You. Now, a comedy that spanned the mid-1980s to the early 1990s is on the way back, with some original cast members on board. Who's the Boss? is getting a sequel series, and there are some familiar faces along for the ride.

Original series star Tony Danza will reprise his role as Tony Micelli for a revival set 30 years after where the show left off, and his on-screen daughter Alyssa Milano will be back as well. Although no other cast members have been announced for the revival at the time of writing, Deadline reports Judith Light and Danny Pintauro are "supportive" of the revival, and "the hope" is to find ways to include Angela and Jonathan into new episodes. Katherine Helmond, who played Mona, died in February of 2019.

For the revival, Alyssa Milano's Samantha Micelli is a single mom living in the same house where the original series was set. Hey, it worked for Fuller House and The Conners, so why not? The new version of the old Who's the Boss? classic will explore a modern family in 2020, including generational differences and different parenting methods.

The project is currently in development at Sony Pictures Television, so a lot is still up in the air at the moment. The Who's the Boss? revival will be shopped to buyers down the line, along with the chance to license the original series, which ran for 196 episodes in eight seasons on ABC between 1984-1992. Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are also attached to the sequel series as executive producers.

Both stars didn't waste any time in sharing their feelings on social media about reprising their roles. Taking to Instagram, Alyssa Milano chose a Who's the Boss? image featuring both her and Tony Danza to go along with her reaction to the revival:

Considering the success of other revivals, including Fuller House and The Conners with the similar premises of an adult single mom returning to her old stomping grounds, Alyssa Milano's comment that "the time is right" is likely very true. For fans of the original series, a revival can bring back some of what was popular the first time around, and perhaps attract a new generation of viewers.

As for Tony Danza, he took to Twitter to share his feelings about returning to Who's the Boss? He first posted that he's "Excited to bring The Micelli family back to television!" and then shared some choice photos from the original run of the series, showing Alyssa Milano as she grew up on the show:

In the current political climate, a slew of different TV shows have recently faced consequences for featuring scenes with white actors in blackface, with certain instances (30 Rock) arguably being more clearly offensive than others (The Golden Girls). As well, specific celebrities have also been called out for using the racially insensitive makeup in the past, such as talk show hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon. The Internet also tried taking Mistresses and Charmed vet Alyssa Milano down for a past instance of alleged blackface usage, but the actress wasn't having it.

Stories started circulating this week on certain websites featuring sometimes out-of-context images where Alyssa Milano is very clearly covered in makeup that gives her a much darker complexion. It would be an understatement to say that Milano did not agree with others that the look, which was created for a 2009 Funny or Die video, was tantamount to a "blackface scandal." She got quite explicit in defending the look as parodying Jersey Shore's Snooki, saying:

Alyssa Milano then shared a link to the video clip in question, titled "Alyssa Milano's Evolution: Jersey Shore," in which the actress goes through a lengthy makeup and hair process to mimic the heavily tanned look that Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi made her signature through years on Jersey Shore and its spinoff. (She has since exited the show.) Once the makeover is finished, and the pouty-lipped Milano is photographed sticking her butt out, the picture becomes a Jersey Shore promo hanging on a bathroom wall, with the joke being that all that work was done just for an advert that people only see when they're using the toilet. (Or washing their hands, or throwing their beer packaging in an overstuffed trash can.)

By responding to the perceived backlash in such a frank and confronting way, and with a Donald Trump reference no less, the ever-vocal activist Alyssa Milano probably didn't win herself any new friends with her defense. Some of her detractors whose reactions were more level-headed than hyperbolic pointed out that she was still parodying someone whose skin was darker than hers, even if it wasn't specifically a Black person, which makes it wrong in their eyes.

While 30 Rock co-creator Tina Fey and Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence were specifically part of the push to get offending episodes of their shows off the air, it's not likely that Alyssa Milano will request for Funny or Die to take the video off the Internet at any point. And I can't see the comedy studio volunteering to take it down, either. So the debate will likely continue at least until more celebrities' questionable behavior gets put under the microscope.

Netflix is pressing down on that cancellation button very firmly these days. After recently cancelling Soundtrack and Spinning Out, the streaming giant is giving Insatiable the axe after just two seasons. Fans found out about the Netflix cancellation and they reacted very strongly to the news.

Netflix renewed Insatiable for Season 2 last September, despite the backlash it received during Season 1. In short, many critics didn’t find the series very funny and criticized the show for its problematic premise and storylines. The series starred Debby Ryan as Patty, a teenager who decided to become a pageant queen as revenge against her high school bullies.

While Insatiable Season 1 was heavily buzzed about, Season 2 premiered last October with little fanfare. Although the show had its naysayers, there were plenty of viewers who did enjoy what it offered and were none too happy that it was cancelled. One viewer didn’t have much to say about the cancellation. Rather, the Twitter user used an gif to properly describe their feelings.

Meanwhile, another Insatiable fan had more than enough to say about the shocking cancellation, and called out both Netflix and CBS for axing the series.

Another Insatiable viewer took to social media to express sadness over the cancellation and thanked those involved with the series.

This fan was so angry about Insatiable’s cancellation that nothing but all caps could express their frustration.

While there were many who didn’t like the show’s premise, one Insatiable fan did appreciate what the show was trying to do with Patty’s storyline in Season 2 and was sad to hear the show’s not coming back.

Not all cancellations mean the permanent end of a series, though. Multiple shows have gotten picked up after cancellation. Lucifer was picked up by Netflix after Fox cancelled the show, while Pop TV picked up One Day At a Time after Netflix pulled the plug on the sitcom. Might the same thing happen with Insatiable? I wouldn't bet on it at this point, but stranger things have surely happened in the television business.

Star Alyssa Milano is also sad that Netflix cancelled the series and responded to the news on Twitter, thanking fans for watching and engaging with the show. In her words:

Alyssa Milano first revealed the series wouldn’t return on February 4 when responding to a fan on Twitter. Now that news of cancellation is confirmed, Milano’s line about not knowing what will happen to the characters after Season 2 really hits home.

ABC is in the midst of its "cast from the past" week, and each participating show has paved the way for some incredible reunions, Grey's Anatomy really took the cake. The show brought Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano together, and were just one (technically) two sisters short of a Charmed reunion (which we'll probably never see on the new series). Ironically enough, the ABC drama's story line played on Milano and Combs' magical history in a very interesting way.

Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs came into the episode as, surprise, two sisters named Haylee and Heidi. Not only that though, the two were at the hospital after their sister had fallen into a construction site, and was believed to be brain dead. Both were arguing with how to best deal with the situation, and the twist of not knowing whether their sister did or didn't have brain function caused the two to start arguing something fierce.

The fighting continued throughout the episode, and was becoming a disturbance to all the doctors on staff. Finally Dr. Webber (who had been caring for the women's sister) got in the middle and finally set Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs' Haylee and Heidi straight. Regardless of whether or not their sister could hear them, this fighting was helping nothing, and aggravating everyone. The two sisters stopped and were unified on the fact that Webber reminded them of their deceased mother.

When the time came to pull the plug, Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs' characters were a united front. They were there when Webber pulled the plug. As they watched their sister "go into the light," the departing sister's phone began to ring. Despite being asked not to, Combs' Heidi answered the phone. She screamed and informed the room that it was their sister who called, and wanted them to know her phone had been stolen earlier in the day.

This meant the bruised and brain dead woman in the bed wasn't their sister, but the thief who stole their sister's things. Everyone freaked out, though Dr. Webber a little more than most as he realized he granted two strangers the decision to pull the plug on a woman they'd never met until that moment. It was a hilarious twist, and just about the best way to use Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs for some great comedic relief in an episode rife with drama.

5 Ways The Charmed Reboot Is A Lot Like The Original

Grey's Anatomy is rolling strong with Season 16 over at ABC Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. ET. CinemaBlend is the place to be for all the latest news in television and movies, so stick with us this fall season.

Grey's Anatomy is returning for Season 16 soon, and the drama is already poised to feature some amazing new stories and answer all our questions about the many cliffhangers we saw in the finale. But, this season will also do something else that fans of the late, great supernatural drama Charmed will love. That's right, folks, two of the Charmed Ones are back together, as Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano will guest star on an upcoming episode!

As you can see in the above photo, Grey's Anatomy will have Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano sharing quite a bit of screen time when they guest star in Episode 3, which is aptly titled "Reunited." In the October 10 episode, the two will play sisters who have to decide whether or not to keep a third sister (omg) alive after she falls into a construction site and is left brain dead. If said third sister ends up being played by either Shannon Doherty or Rose McGowan I will lose my absolute mind!

In case your memory of Charmed is a bit fuzzy, the show, which aired on The WB, ran for eight seasons from 1998 through 2006 and featured Combs, Milano and (originally) Doherty as sisters Piper, Phoebe and Prue who find out that they're the most powerful good witches of all time and have to use their considerable powers to protect humanity from a wide variety of supernatural bad guys like warlocks and demons. Prue has the powers of telekinesis and astral projection, Piper can freeze those around her and also make evil objects or entities explode, while Phoebe has the gift of premonition.

Shannon Dohery left Charmed at the end of Season 3 when her character was killed, and from Season 4 onward Rose McGowan appeared as recently discovered half-sister Paige, who can teleport objects and people.

While this Charmed reunion is quite a surprise in general, at the outset it seems even more surprising that it would take place on Grey's Anatomy, of all places. But, Krista Vernoff, who is the executive producer of Grey's, was also a producer on Charmed, while her fellow Grey's EP, Andy Reaser, was a writer on the fantasy series.

Charmed was a big hit for the still-new WB network, with a series premiere that was watched by 7.7 million viewers and broke the record for the network's highest rated debut episode. It was also the second longest running series on The WB, behind 7th Heaven, and was the longest running hour long show with all female leads until Desperate Housewives surpassed it in 2012.

The show's impact didn't end when it left the air, either. Charmed remained popular in repeats and was even the second most binge watched show on streaming services like Netflix for a time. This continued popularity led to The CW (which took over from The WB in many respects) rebooting Charmed in 2018 with a new cast combining their sisterly gifts as the Power of Three (which Holly Marie Combs was none too pleased about).

It'll be good to see Alyssa Milano and Holly Marie Combs working together again. Milano has stayed active on television in recent years with shows like Mistresses and Insatiable, while Combs was most recently known for playing Aria's mom on Pretty Little Liars. Grey's Anatomy rarely disappoints when it comes to high stakes drama, so we'll probably be treated to some pretty cool performances from both of them when their episode airs.

The CW's Charmed reboot is just a couple months away from its premiere, but it appears the day any member of the original cast will make an appearance on the program is much further away. This comes after comments by former star Alyssa Milano, who gave a very blunt response when asked if she'd be interested in appearing on the new Charmed or directing an episode:

Alyssa Milano dismissed any speculation she could be involved in the Charmed reboot and made it clear she won't be answering calls from the show anytime soon. The starlet joins other classic Charmed co-stars Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs in their distaste for the reboot, which has played a part in some fans critique of the new iteration. Milano had kept her comments about the reboot vague when it was first announced, but her current statements make the context behind her thank you to fans when the reboot was first announced a little more clear.

Alyssa Milano isn't entirely against the Charmed reboot. However, she's just unhappy with the way everyone involved went about it. Specifically, Milano told Entertainment Tonight she wishes she and the former cast had been approached when the idea was first introduced, perhaps so they could've discussed the show and brainstormed what their involvement in it could be:

Unfortunately, the Charmed reboot significant players went about things a different way and now have alienated the stars of the past series regardless of whether or not they intended to use them in the new show or not. It's not just disappointing for fans who held out hope the Halliwell sisters would appear in some way in the rebooted series but disappointing for the new cast who obviously would've loved the blessing of Alyssa Milano and others. Still, Madeleine Mantock and the others are holding their heads high and hoping that once the former stars see the new Charmed, they might be more supportive of it.

The new Charmed is headed to The CW, and will make its premiere Sunday, October 14 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Netflix has been taking a lot of flak for its decision to air the new series Insatiable, and has defended its position in light of those who have petitioned against it. The streaming service followed through and premiered the series on Friday, and critics' reviews have not been kind. Insatiable is getting slammed by critics left and right, with scathing reviews such as the one by AV Club's Danette Chavez apparently revealing the show's most obvious flaw:

Critics have implied viewers may have more problems with Insatiable beyond its portrayal of body positivity, as Chavez says the show hits just about every offensive stereotype one can imagine in the 12-episode season. Some shows, like South Park, have thrived on that type of offensive comedy, and found success in being a satire that's an equal opportunity offender. This apparently isn't the case with Insatiable, which critics like Wenlei Ma of News.com.Au have deemed "unwatchable."

Some fans of Insatiable might just say the backlash is a product of the times, and that perhaps now wasn't the best time for Netflix to release a show that features characters who engage in "fat-shaming," or make false sexual assault allegations. Some critics will concede that point, although as Daily Telegraph's Ed Power pointed out, it's baffling to wonder who thought a series like this wouldn't spark outrage given the major headlines of the past year:

For all the hate Insatiable received, there have been a few critics willing to defend it. While many found the humor of Netflix's series offensive and largely unfunny, Reason author Glenn Garvin feels quite the opposite. He still thinks the show is offensive, but is still funny, and not nearly as awful as some have made it out to be.

Ryan asserted that one of the big themes of Insatiable is that everyone has their issues, and that people don't need to be a certain way to achieve the things they wish for:

The CW's Charmed reboot pilot is continuing onward and it just cast the second witchy sister of the new generation. The project has tapped Sarah Jeffery of Shades of Blue and Wayward Pines fame to play Madison, the youngest of the three sisters. The young star will step into the role first popularized by Alyssa Milano on the original series, although their characters may vary wildly from each other.

Sarah Jeffery's Madison is described as a young witch who is more concerned with the college experience than becoming a magic user. Deadline reports that bubbly Madison will find herself at odds with her magical side, as the college freshman is attempting to enter a "super-fun," sorority whilst discovering her powers. The role is a sharp contrast to the original Charmed younger sibling Pheobe, who embraced her role as a Charmed One even before her other sisters would.

Jeffery's Madison is the second sister to join the Charmed reboot pilot, as Melonie Diaz was announced in the role of another sister Mel a few days prior. Both actresses join the pilot from Jane The Virgin showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman, with the pilot's script being written by Jessica O'Toole and Amy Rardin. While there may be some variations in the reboot's characters, the general plot of three sisters living in a college town and discovering they are witches sounds the same. The sisters will put their powers to use to slay supernatural entities, as well as navigate everyday life in a potential series.

Sarah Jeffery's role as Madison is a great opportunity for the actress. While she's been a familiar face in the NBC series Shades of Blue, she really hasn't had an opportunity to star in a standout role. Typically, Jeffery plays the role of the daughter in television roles, so to see her as a college student living with her sisters will be a slight change of pace for a potential audience that is familiar with her work. If The CW ends up greenlighting the Charmed reboot for a full series, Jeffery's star power will no doubt rise beyond the smaller roles she's had thus far.

Should the Charmed reboot fall through, Sarah Jeffery already has a project with Warner Bros. to fall back on later this year. Jefferey will star in a live-action feature comedy based in the Scooby-Doo universe called Daphne and Velma. Jeffery will play Daphne in a tale that pre-dates the two joining Mystery Inc., and quite frankly, sounds like a feature that could make for an interesting series on The CW. No plans are being laid out for that, but should this Charmed reboot not work out, The CW might want to think about it.

Charmed fans who have been crossing their fingers for a return to the witchy universe got some great news this week with the news of a reboot. The CW series will take place in the 1970s, and it looks like the original leading ladies won't be doing any time-traveling to take part in the new adventures. Two of the actresses who played the Halliwell sisters have taken to social media to share their feelings in the wake of the reboot announcement. Holly Marie Combs was the first to hit the web with a reaction to the news, and she posted this message on Twitter:

Holly Marie Combs doesn't seem upset that Charmed is returning to the small screen with a whole new cast. It wasn't that long ago that Combs was talking about getting back together with her on-screen sisters for a TV reunion. If she's at all bitter that a reunion might not happen now that a reboot is in the works, she's not sharing it on Twitter. She and her fellow actresses have a lot of fans thanks to their time on Charmed, and some of those fans have been vocal on social media about not wanting any version of Charmed without the originals back on board. Maybe Holly Marie Combs' support of the reboot will help existing Charmed fans support the idea of a brand new version of the show with a brand new cast.

Alyssa Milano also shared a message for Charmed fans on social media, posting this on her Twitter page:

The tweet from Alyssa Milano did not directly address the reboot, so we can't say for sure exactly how she feels about Charmed 2.0. Still, she doesn't seem upset that she won't be part of the new show. Instead, she had a message of gratitude for the folks who clearly still love Charmed even years after it went off the air. While many of the responses to her message indicate that plenty of fans would rather that she and the other originals returned, perhaps her words will make it easier for them to accept and even welcome the reboot. If not...well, all eight seasons of Charmed are currently on Netflix for all the watching and re-watching a dedicated fan could possibly want.

The reboot will be set in 1976 and is currently being touted as a "reimagining," which likely means that we can expect some new twists on old Charmed plots. Jessica O'Toole, Amy Rardin, and Jennie Snyder Urman of Jane the Virgin are crafting the story for The CW. The project is still in the early stages of development, so it will be a while before we find out who will star in the new series.

Few modern actresses have developed the sort of iconography enjoyed by Alyssa Milano. Now it seems that the legendary actress has found a brand new TV role on the upcoming second season of Netflix's Wet Hot American Summer series, which is being dubbed Ten Years Later.

A new report from Deadline confirms that Alyssa Milano has been tapped to join the cast of the second season of Wet Hot American Summer. Unlike last summer's Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp, the upcoming season of the Netflix series will fast forward in time one full decade to meet up with our favorite characters ten whole years after their final day of work at Camp Firewood. Well, everyone except Michael Ian Black's McKinley; he had a thing that day and he couldn't move it.

Sadly, no character information was unveiled, but we have an idea how the actress could play into things. It's the very specific time period of Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later that likely informed the decision to cast Alyssa Milano in the first place. The upcoming season of the hit Netflix series will take place in the summer of 1991, which means that it will take place during the initial height of Milano's real life popularity on the ABC sitcom Who's the Boss? With that in mind, it seems like an incredibly clever move to cast a notable actress from the era to make an appearance in order to capitalize on 1990s nostalgia in a major way.

That being said, don't expect Alyssa Milano to exist merely as a prop for other characters to use for comedy. The actress has proven time and time again that she has the chops to hold her own and deliver the laughs with gusto. In addition to her aforementioned role on Who's The Boss? she has also taken on a number of comedic parts over the years, ranging from voice work on Family Guy to guest stints on live-action series like My Name Is Earl and Mr. Show with Bob and David, and Charmed was funny sometimes, too. To put it bluntly: she can hold her own against some of the best comedic talents in the industry. Expect no less this time around.

Lifetime has gotten through two action-filled seasons of Project Runway: All Stars with different hosts at the helm. Last season, fans were treated to the very wooden Carolyn Murphy as the host, and it’s no surprise the network would want to sign on a new famous face for Season 3. That’s right, Project Runway: All Stars will be returning for a third installation at the network, and this time, actress Alyssa Milano will be joining the series.

You would think Milano would be pretty busy at the moment, with her new series, Mistresses, hitting ABC’s summer schedule tonight. However, she’s apparently found the time for Lifetime’s hit reality competition series and will be joining returning judges Georgina Chapman and Isaac Mizrahi for the new episodes. Milano replaces Murphy and the Season 1 judge and host, Angela Lindvall.

Project Runway: All Stars is a little different than its counterpart Project Runway. The newer series features a slew of returning contestants who each are vying for the top designer prize. Additionally, other details are a little different, including the judges and the hair and makeup products used on the models. While Project Runway: All Stars has favored models as hosts in the past, Milano should be a pretty good choice for the role. According to THR, the former Charmed actress and mother has her own clothing line, as well as a jewelry line and a sports apparel line. She’s very much in the know about commercial clothes, and we’ll have to wait and see whether she can bring her knowledge to the world of high fashion.

It’s been a long time since Garry Marshall made something truly brilliant, but the aging director does typically turn out watchable products. The Princess Diaries, Raising Helen, Runaway Bride, these are all examples of slightly better than average fare that find permanent homes on basic cable. Lately though, Marshall has turned his attention toward gigantic a-list casted romantic comedies. You may not have fond memories of last year’s Valentine’s Day, but his upcoming New Year’s Eve is showing a bit more charm.

According to Variety, former Charmed star Alyssa Milano has boarded the project, joining DeNiro, Kutcher, Bon Jovi, Parker, Breslin and a slew of others. Her character, a nurse and caretaker, will spend the film fretting over not having anyone to spend the holiday with. Two guesses at how that ends up. #1) She realizes being with the patient was exactly how she wanted to spend New Year’s Eve. #2) She happens to run into some dude she’s always had a crush, and he surprises her by showing up at the old person’s apartment.

Production on the romantic comedy starts this week. Get excited. It’s probably going to be above average.

As long as my generation watches television, there will always be a place for Alyssa Milano. We grew up with her on Who's the Boss?, though she turned out to be better-looking than most of us, and became adults along with her on Charmed. Now she's back with another sitcom, though I can't believe she's Romantically Challenged.

Premiering on Monday, April 12 at 9:30 PM ET, as reported by Zap2It, Milano has received the very cushy post-Dancing with the Stars timeslot, affording the new series the largest potential audience ABC has. The series has Milano as a lawyer re-entering the dating scene after 15 years of marriage.

She's joined by Kyle Bornheimer, who was the funniest thing about CBS's Worst Week, Josh Lawson and Kelly Stables. If this on works out, ABC might not even have to hope for a great entry in the upcoming pilot season to flesh out their ABC Comedy Wednesday lineup. It already bears some resemblance to Cougar Town simply by having a woman back on the prowl after years of marriage.

She had a long run as Phoebe Halliwell on TV's Charmed, but Alyssa Milano has been absent from major roles on the big screen for a long long while. And as I guess you have to do as a female actress once you're older than 30, Milano is taking her stardom into her own hands. She'll produce and star in the indie romantic comedy My Girlfriend's Boyfriend, playing a woman who must decide between two ideal men.

Yeah, the concept is nothing original, but after all those years of casting spells on TV, maybe Milano will do something new with it. THR writes that Michael Landes will play an ad exec and Christopher Gorham a struggling novelist, both of them wooing Milano's character. Beau Bridges and Carol Kane also round out the cast.

Dan Akyroyd has been out talking about casting for the long-gesting third Ghostbusters movie and apparently, if he has any say in it, he’d base the cast on the recent Ghostbusters video game. Or at least that seems to be what he’s saying in a new interview with the LA Times.

That’s not necessarily a bad thing. The game featured the voice talents of super-hotties Alyssa Milano and Eliza Dushku and let’s face it, if you're going to hire Milano and Dushku you really ought to use them in a way that let's your audience see them. Their physical appearance is generally regarded as extremely pleasant. Of them Akyroyd says, “I think they're amazing, and I'm excited about the whole idea of getting this done.” Does he mean “getting this done” as in getting them in the movie or just getting this done as in simply making the movie at all? The Times' somewhat vague piece doesn’t say.

Milano was quick to address the rumors on her Twitter feed where she says "... this is the first I'm hearing of Ghostbusters 3." Dushku followed with another denial on her Twitter saying, "...it's nuthin' I know of." So Akroyd really was saying he wants them, it must be more of a wishlist than something they're already pursuing.

Dan did confirm that Sigourney Weaver is now on board for Ghustbusters 3, which is great news for fans. And of course the rest of the original squad: Akyrod, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson are all in or it wouldn’t be happening. In the past it was Murray’s reluctance to do it that kept the project from happening. Not returning is director Ivan Reitman. Akyroyd confirms “he’s too busy”.

So the whole thing’s moving forward and maybe they’re looking for a couple of high-profile, youngish, new female Ghostbusters. I like it, especially if it’s Milano. Dushku has Dollhouse to keep her busy and besides, Milano’s better when it comes to over the top comedy. It doesn't hurt that she has more tattoos which, weirdly seems like something a female Ghostbuster needs. Slime her!

If you were looking forward to seeing Alyssa Milano in a starring role on an ABC comedy, we’ve got bad news for you. ABC has decided to scrap Single With Parents, one of the new series they had lined up for midseason. The reason? What else? Creative differences among the producers.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, ABC pulled the plug on the show because apparently the series creator Kristin Newman, whose production credits include That 70’s Show, and How I Met your Mother and the rest of the production team had some disagreements on the direction of the series.

Single With Parents was set to star Alyssa Milano, who would play a woman attempting to juggle her dysfunctional family, friends and her boss. That’s not a very complex (or original) premise for a half-hour comedy but given Milano’s involvement and Newman’s previous work, this series definitely had something going for it. It’s too bad the producers weren’t able to work things out.
