Summer House Season 10 just finished airing as part of the 2026 TV schedule, and the hit Bravo reality series really dished out the drama. Right before the season finished airing, though, viewers were hit with a major BTS shakeup, as it was confirmed that cast member West Wilson was leaving the show. Fans swiftly took to social media to share their thoughts on the development and didn’t hold back. I find this situation intriguing enough on its own but, now, it’s been enhanced by Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers’ wild commentary.

Wilson – a three-season veteran of Summer House – drew a considerable amount of backlash when it was confirmed that he was dating castmate Amanda Batula, who was a good friend of fellow co-star/Wilson’s ex, Ciara Miller. Sides were eventually taken in the messy situation, with even Rob Mariano (a.k.a. Boston Rob) showing support for Miller. And, when fans took to the web to share their thoughts on Wilson’s exit, many expressed relief over the fact that he would no longer be on the show.

Rogers and Yang recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live and, in a YouTube clip from that interview, host Andy Cohen was eager to get their thoughts on the bonus Season 10 installment, The Aftermath. That special sees West sitting down with co-star Kyle Cooke for a tense conversation, but the Fire Island co-stars were able to find some humor in it. Yang, for instance, dropped a quip regarding the way Wilson spoke:

Batula also wasn’t immune from any kind of critiques, though Rogers wasn’t joking too much when he commented on her conversation with Lindsay Hubbard. Rogers shared a thought that might mirror how others are feeling after that Batula’s chat with Lindsay Hubbard:

Yang was also apparently taken aback with how Wilson answered after being asked if he truly loved Batula. On air, Wilson would also say that he cared about her a great deal, which the former SNL star referred to as “the bleakest thing” he’d seen all week. The Las Culturistas podcast co-hosts certainly know how to dish it out and, collectively, their comments serve as the icing on this proverbial cake of reality TV-based drama. Sure, the drama that plays out on screen is entertaining enough, but there’s just something about seeing takes from fans — celebrities or otherwise – that makes it all the more engaging. Bravo, which houses some of the greatest reality shows of all time, like The Real Housewives and Below Deck franchises – certainly knows how to drum up engagement.

On that note, it seems like West Wilson isn’t planning to engage with this particular medium moving forward. During the bonus episode, Wilson asserted that his “time on camera is over.” Interestingly enough, though, despite his contract not being picked up, it’s reported that he could return to the show down the line for a cameo. If you ask me, that would be smart play on the network’s part, as any further on-screen appearances from Wilson after this drama would likely draw plenty of reactions from fans.

The series (which is streaming with a Peacock subscription) has. number of cities, but classic New York City has always been one of the biggest fan favorites. Fans were shook when it was revealed that RHONY was being rebooted, with an all new cast replacing the beloved OGs. Andy Cohen knows this was a controversial move, and recently explained why he did it anyway.

RHONY stars like Countess Luann have said being dropped "felt like a death", and there are plenty of Bravoholics who miss seeing the old crew on the network. During a recent interview with Vulture, the producer and broadcaster spoke about the upcoming 16th season, which will be the third post-reboot. He teased:

Well, this definitely sounds exciting. The first two seasons of the RHONY reboot have had mixed reactions. While some Bravo fans enjoyed the new ladies, others missed the originals like Ramona Singer, Sonja Morgan, and Luann de Lesseps. But it sounds like Season 16 is going to bring it, including the return of Carole Radziwill as a "friend of."

Later in the same interview, Andy spoke about the "controversial" decision to reboot RHONY, and the scrapped legacy series that ended up being a season of Ultimate Girls Trip. In his words:

He's not wrong. The last two seasons with the original RHONY cast were rough, especially in the midst of movements like Black Lives Matter and #MeToo. I'm still recovering from the Black Shabbat dinner, and particularly Ramona's behavior during it. But there are still some fans who would prefer seeing the original ladies rather than the reboot.

It's unclear when The Real Housewives of New York City will premiere its 16th season, but a number of cities are airing right now as part of the 2026 TV schedule. Namely Beverly Hills, Atlanta, and the new (delightful) Rhode Island.

There are a number of cities airing at any point, but unfortunately one of my favorites Miami was put on pause by the network. I've been bummed about this, especially as drama surrounding Lisa Hochstein is going down off camera, but Andy Cohen's recent comments are giving me some hope.

Both fans and the cast of RHOM have been reacting to the show being put on pause... for the second time since it originally debuted back in 2011. Since Miami is one of my top 3 cities (alongside Salt Lake and Potomac), I've been down in the dumps about this news. But during a recent episode of Watch What Happens Live!, Andy offered a positive opinion about the future, saying:

From his mouth to God's ears. Andy is no longer running Bravo, although he's a producer on the Real Housewives shows. So the decision to put Miami on pause wasn't his. Still, he thinks it's only a matter of time before those ladies return to our screens.

Of course, The Real Housewives of Miami isn't the only show to have been put on pause recently. After RHONJ was unable to film a traditional reunion for Season 14, that show was also put on a hiatus. But the cast is finally coming together for Season 15, with Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania set to return.

The Real Housewives of Miami has already had a bumpy road on the screen. The show was cancelled after three seasons back in 2013, and was off the air until its reboot brought back the ladies in 2021. The show aired exclusively on Peacock at that time, before eventually making its way to Bravo proper. Unfortunately it's future is unclear, although Andy Cohen's comments are a comforting during these times.

The show's second hiatus is surprising because I think that Miami is wildly entertaining. The women have real friendships, which helps to make more compelling TV. They have the best "friend of"s in the franchise, and bring comedy, drama, and glamor to the small screen. Hopefully it returns sooner rather than later.

Right now, new episodes of Beverly Hills, Atlanta, and Rhode Island are airing on Bravo as part of the 2026 TV schedule. As for Miami, you can re-watch its seven seasons over on Peacock.

Over the weekend, Sarah Michelle Gellar left Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans stunned when she broke the bad news that Hulu had cancelled the highly-anticipated reboot from Chloé Zhao, called New Sunnydale. As the original TV show’s loyal fanbase have been mourning all week, the actress/producer shared her own reasons why she hopes the reboot doesn’t stay dead.

Gellar sat down with Andy Cohen’s radio show following Buffy the Vampire Slayer: New Sunnydale’s cancellation. When the host asked if she thinks there are “any other conversations going on” now that the reaction has been “so intense”, here’s how she responded:

It must be heartbreaking to Sarah Michelle Gellar to see fans get so sad about the new Buffy series being cancelled after she spent so much time working on it as a producer and actor. The pilot for New Sunnydale was filmed back in August, but executives allegedly weren't impressed enough once they watched the first episode, calling the show too “small."

Could Hulu retrace their steps after all the outcry from enraged fans? Gellar isn’t sure, but as she brought up, it’s pretty impossible not to notice how many people were looking forward to the new Buffy series. One would hope that somebody would see the huge reaction to the cancellation and reconsider, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens.

Since the cancellation, Gellar said that there was an executive on the Buffy reboot who was “not a fan” of the original and “was proud” to constantly remind others involved that he’d “never seen the entirety of the series”. The actress never named who this executive was, but Deadline claims she was likely referring to Craig Erwich, who is the President of Disney Television Group, and directly oversees all Hulu Originals.

Since the cancellation news broke, new Buffy star Ryan Kiera Armstrong revealed what her character would have looked like, and was overwhelmed with comments from fans saying things like “@hulu count your days” and begging other streaming platforms to pick up the show. Another conversation that’s been happening lately concerns that fans want to see the pilot. But to that, Gellar said that she hopes it doesn’t get leaked because “it wasn’t done.”

New York City was the crown jewel of the property for years, and now alum Leah McSweeney is in the midst of a legal battle with both the network and Andy Cohen specifically. And the trial has recently took a major step forward.

McSweeney starred in season 12 and 13 of RHONY, as well as season of Ultimate Girls Trip prior to turning against the network. She made a number of trouble allegations, including that Bravo pushes liquor on the women, and that Cohen did drugs with some of the Housewives. People has offered an update on her legal complaint, and U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman has denied the request to make it a private arbitration.

The judge reportedly said that Cohen and McSweeney were trying to handle things privately due to the "daunting specter of civil discovery," but that they'd already fought in court. As such, he maintains that they were "trying to have their cake and eat it too," and would instead be having a public trial.

This is a major step forward, and smart money says even the most casual Bravohaulics will be paying attention to how things shake out. Housewives fans are known for being super passionate and vocal online, which is likely why the feuding pair of reality TV personalities wanted to keep it private. Alas, fans will be able to follow along and make their own judgements in the court of public opinion.

Leah McSweeney filed her lawsuit back in February of 2024, and made a number of bold allegations about both the network and Andy specifically. She claimed that Bravo producers put her in dangerous positions as an alcoholic in order to "create morbidly salacious reality television." Indeed she had a public relapse on her first season, before quitting drinking again. The Married to the Mob founder also claimed that Cohen partook in "cocaine use with Housewives and other Bravolebrities that he employs," and that those who did drugs with the exec were granted "more favorable treatment and edits."

These are some strong allegations, one that Andy Cohen has unequivocally denied. But McSweeney maintains her story, and also claims that he got other Bravolebrities to paint her as a liar. It's an explosive story, and now fans will be able to follow along as the pair battle in court.

Only time will tell how things ultimately shake out in court. It's unclear when the trial will begin, but it seems to have high stakes for both the individuals and the Real Housewives franchise as a whole. For now, new episodes of Beverly Hills air weekly as part of the 2026 TV schedule.

Fans are able to watch multiple cities at any point on the network (and streaming with a Peacock subscription), as well as producer Andy Cohen's late night talk show Watch What Happens Live!. It turns out that an AI version of him is coming to Peacock to spill the tea, and all I can think of is it relieving him when he gets ticked off at Housewife Reunions.

The use of AI has been a hot-button issue in the entertainment industry, with actors and crew members alike taking issue with its use over human professionals. But Variety recently revealed that an AI version of Andy Cohen is coming to Peacock this summer, which will offer Real Housewives updates based on users' personal tastes. Apparently, the goal is to make the streaming service an "experience" rather than simply a hub for content. Matt Strauss, chairman of NBCUniversal Media Group, said this week:

He also said that it's a goal so fans of NBCU's content “don’t have to go somewhere else to get the experiences they love." Given how rabid the Real Housewives fandom is, the idea of an AI Andy Cohen certainly seems like an intriguing idea. And I have to assume the exec/host is down for this experiment, so this isn't a case of AI technology taking someone else's job.

Per this report, Peacock users will choose their favorite Bravo shows and "iconic moments," which will inform a playlist narrated by AI Andy. And Cohen himself seems eager for the world to "Meet my digital twin."

While I will absolutely be tuning in for AI Andy's updates once it drops this summer, this announcement made me think of the various times that Cohen has reached his breaking point while hosting the Real Housewives' reunions. We've seen him lose his cool a few times over the years, mostly when the women are talking over each other and he can't get in a word edgewise. One such moment happened during a reunion for Season 12 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. You can check out that iconic clip below:

In that moment, maybe an AI version of Andy would have been helpful, giving him a chance to take a break while still continuing to film the reunion. The same can also be said when RHONJ's Teresa Giudice pushed him down in the reunion for Season 2. I'm mostly joking, but I also think it could be interesting to see how this AI is utilized after it debuts on Peacock.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City is one of the best reality shows out there, and fan recently saw the end of Season 6 on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). That fandom has been collectively grieving ever since it was revealed that fan-favorite Mary Cosby's son Robert Jr. died at age 23. His funeral services recently happened, and Andy Cohen shouted out three Housewives for attending and being especially kind to Mary.

News of Robert Jr.'s death rocked the Bravosphere, especially since fans had been following his struggle with addiction and legal issues on Salt Lake. Filming for RHOSLC was delayed as a result of this tragedy, with Mary and her family organizing his funeral services. During a recent appearance on Sirius XM's Andy Cohen Live, he revealed he wasn't able to attend in person, offering:

This understandable, as it sounds like Andy simply didn't have the to travel to Utah in order to attend Robert Jr.'s services. But he heard about what the event was like, as well as who was in attendance.

Per Cohen, the full cast of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City where there to show their respect: Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Meredith Marks, Bronwyn Newport, Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow, and Britani Bateman. But some other Housewives from other cities made the trip to support Mary. Namely Beverly Hills' Kyle Richards and Atlanta's Cynthia Bailey and Shereé Whitfield. Andy gave that trio props for being so generous, saying:

The Real Housewives really is a sisterhood. Bravo fans have watched as crossovers happened, and women from various cities have connected and supported each other. So it should come as no surprise that a number of Housewives went to Salt Lake City to show their love and support to Mary during this impossible time.

Mary Cosby's church has been the subject of some controversy over the years, but fans have also been able to watch her with her congregation during RHOSLC. Per Andy Cohen, she was in her element during Robert Jr.'s services, despite her grief. As he put it:

Of course, Mary's many fans out there are wondering about how much we should expect to see her in Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Cameras have reportedly gone up, but it's unclear whether or not Cosby is filming. Given the immense tragedy she's dealt with, no one would blame her if she needed to step away. Although since she and Robert Jr. were so brave and transparent in speaking about his addiction on the show, perhaps she'll once again open her doors and heart to the viewers. Only time will tell. Our thoughts continue to be with Mary Cosby and her family during this impossible time.

Beverly Hills' Lisa Rinna returned to our TVs as part of The Traitors Season 4, and she recently took a break from shading her castmates to throw some barbs at none other than Andy Cohen.

The cast of The Traitors Season 4 was stacked, and Lisa made some great TV during her time in Scotland. While Rinna got emotional talking about returning to reality TV after RHOBH, she brought the drama in her new memoir You Better Believe I'm Going To Talk About It. In one excerpt (via Page Six) she addressed how Andy Cohen warned her about her being mentioned in his book The Daddy Diaries: The Year I Grew Up. As she put it:

Well, she certainly didn't mince her words. Andy Cohen has written about many of the Real Housewives before throughout his various memoirs. Sometimes that even includes their private texts with the Bravo boss, which is exactly what went down with Lisa. And clearly she knew she was in danger when getting that heads up.

Lisa Rinna left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills after Season 12, and broke the news to Andy Cohen via a text. That's exactly what he published in The Daddy Diaries, something that the actress/reality TV star took umbrage with. She shared her reaction in her own memoir, writing:

Now that is some Housewife behavior. I only wish that there were cameras up to capture the moment when she threw Andy's book into a fire. There's a reason why she's one of the most iconic Housewives of all time.

As previously mentioned, Lisa Rinna went from RHOBH to The Traitors, and was lucky enough to be one of the titular killers of Season 4. Fans are gearing up for the reunion, as it's rumored that Lisa went full Housewives on folks like Colton and Rob.

Savannah Guthrie and her family continue to go through hell, as it’s now been nearly two weeks since her 84-year-old mother, Nancy Guthrie, was allegedly abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Meanwhile, back at NBC, the show must go on — The Today Show, that is — but what’s the mood like amongst Savannah’s colleagues, as they do their best to fill her shoes and still support their friend from afar?

Andy Cohen paid a visit to the Today set ahead of Super Bowl LX, when Nancy Guthrie had been missing for three days, describing the mood as “so somber and sad.” He emphasized that the NBC morning show anchors, including Craig Melvin, Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager “really are” like a family, telling People:

Andy Cohen went on to call Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance “surreal,” and spoke to why this case has captivated America’s attention — causing increased ratings for The Today Show as viewers tune in hoping for updates on Savannah and her mother. Cohen said:

I can only imagine how helpless Savannah Guthrie’s friends and colleagues feel at this time, but at least the longtime journalist knows they’re holding down the fort, giving her one less thing to worry about.

Carson Daly talked about how close all The Today Show anchors are just a few months ago, saying that they vacation together, with Jenna Bush Hager adding that her children thought The Voice host’s kids were their cousins.

Savannah Guthrie has been absent from Today since February 2, but the support she has from her team back home is apparent, both in their support on social media and what’s happening in the studio.

Hoda Kotb, Savannah Guthrie’s former co-anchor who stepped away last January, bowed out of covering the Winter Olympics and instead returned to The Today Show to fill in for Guthrie alongside Craig Melvin. She reflected on how often Guthrie has supported all of them, like being the first to visit when Kotb’s daughter was in the hospital, hopping on a plane when Carson Daly’s parents died, supporting Melvin when his brother passed and more.

It’s touching to see the Today crew stepping up for Savannah Guthrie in her time of need, as much as everyone wishes she were not having to go through this.

Nancy Guthrie was last seen late January 31 at her home outside of Tucson, Arizona. The latest developments in the case include footage from her home’s doorbell camera being released, showing a masked man — reportedly 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 — who appears to be armed, tampering with the doorbell. He has been labeled a “suspect.” Anyone with information regarding this man or Guthrie is encouraged to call 1-800-CALL-FBI and/or the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900.

But in order to do that, will Andy Cohen find a way to squash the beef with the Queen of Pop?

While Madonna's feud with Cher is still going strong, the same can also be said for her relationship with Cohen. She even called him out mid-performance during The Celebration Tour. During a conversation with EW, Andy was asked if he'd like to see Madge bury the hatchet and come on WWHL. He responded with:

While there's currently no indication that Madonna is ready to end the feud, it sounds like Cohen is hopeful it'll happen. Watch What Happens Live! was recently renewed for two more seasons, so that gives some time. Maybe she just needs the right project to inspire her to appear on the late night talk series. Fingers crossed.

So what exactly is the root of the issue between Madonna and Andy Cohen? Rather than being an interpersonal issue, it seems to mainly be about how guests on WWHL have spoken negatively about the singer over the years. The tension has been steadily building until he attended her tour, and called him a "troublemaking queen" in front of the entire audience.

Indeed, there are a number of guests who notably picked apart Madonna as both an actress and vocalist over the years. One prime example would be Broadway's Patti Lupone who criticized her work on the movie musical Evita, saying on Watch What Happens Live!:

She didn't exactly mince her words there. Many believe that Madonna's problems with Andy are related to him not defending her opposite the various WWHL guests who have spoken negatively about the pop icon.

As for Andy Cohen himself, he's a self-proclaimed "life-long Madonna fan". And really, who isn't? We'll just have to wait and see if the two celebs are able to find common ground, and if she finally joins the fun of WWHL.

Throughout the last two decades, the Real Housewives franchise has become a wildly popular behemoth. Some of the best reality shows have come out of the property, which is streaming exclusively with a Peacock subscription. Chief among them is The Real Housewives of New York City, and a new rumor claims iconic alum Bethenny Frankel is "begging" to get back on Bravo. Let's break it all down.

Since Bethenny left RHONY after Season 11, the TV personality and entrepreneur has exactly been in the good graces of the network. Frankel criticized the show's reboot and Bravo as a whole, seemingly fracturing her relationship with producer Andy Cohen. A rumor from Rob Shuter claims that she's been trying to get back on Bravo... to no avail. A post from his Substack quotes an anonymous source, who claims:

Ouch. This nickname is, of course, a reference to her liquor brand Skinny Girl, which she created and promoted while appearing on RHONY. While Andy Cohen and Bethenny Frankel seemed to have a good relationship even after she left the show, this insider claims that things have not been good between the two Bravolebrities. And if this source is to be believed, it's preventing her from returning to reality TV on the beloved network.

This is just a rumor at this point, so we should probably take it with a grain of salt for the time being. But Frankel has been off of TV since 2021's The Big Shot With Bethenny (which is streaming with a HBO Max subscription). Another insider who is allegedly close to Bethenny provided another quote, claiming:

This is in reference to the new season of Ultimate Girls Trip, which features OG Housewives going on a round trip and visiting the various cities featured in the franchise. It's unclear whether or not Bethenny actually came up with that concept, but this report is definitely going to turn the heads of Bravohaulics out there.

Given how many truly iconic moments Frankel brought to TV throughout her tenure on RHONY, there are plenty of fans out there who would love to see her return to Bravo. Although on the flip side she's also received some backlash from the fandom for her criticism over the network and genre as a whole. Personally I'm leaning more towards the latter, as I don't think she necessarily has a place at Bravo after attempting to start the "reality reckoning". Although her humanitarian efforts are definitely something to be admired.

There are currently new episodes of Salt Lake City, Potomac, and Beverly Hills airing weekly as part of the 2026 TV schedule. We'll just have to wait and see if this rumor is true, and if Bethenny Frankel ever returns to Bravo.

The Traitors is arguably one of the best reality shows on TV, and those with a Peacock subscription have already been treated to a ton of twist and turns in Season 4. The most recent episode saw actor Michael Rapaport get voted out... despite not one actually thinking he was a Traitor. And now Bravo boss Andy Cohen has shared his two cents on the Housewives super fan's performance on the Emmy-winning competition series.

When the cast of The Traitors Season 4 was revealed, there was immediately backlash about Michael Rapaport being included. He made some wild TV during his appearances, with Rapaport's eating going viral, as well as his final confrontation with Colton Underwood. During a conversation with EW, Cohen shared his thoughts on the actor's already infamous appearance. As he put it:

Points were made. Anyone who has seen the star of Atypical (which is streaming with a Netflix subscription) on Watch What Happens Live! knows that he doesn't hold back when talking smack. I mean, who could forget his viral argument with Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore, where he famously told her "You wish you ere me." And while his gameplay on The Traitors might not have been great, Andy appreciates the drama he brought to host Alan Cumming's castle... especially as a reality TV producer.

Rapaport definitely brought the drama, albeit to the detriment of his game. In the same interview, Andy Cohen spoke about this dynamic, and the way he was voted off despite the cast not actually thinking he was a Traitor. As he went on:

Points were made. For better or worse, Michael Rapaport made Traitors history in his appearance on Season 4. And now that he's been exiled from the castle, I wonder if the Faithful will be more successful in sniffing out the three Traitors that are still in their ranks. Either way, I assume that the 55 year-old actor will make even more wild television in the Season 4 reunion.

2026 is officially here, which makes the fact that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert is ending seem a lot closer than it did just a few days ago. As Colbert moves forward on the last few months of his show, which will end in May on the 2026 TV schedule, he was given a chance to reflect on what he learned in 2025, and he has a very smart (and blunt) way of looking at things.

It’s a notably blunt and honest assessment from a notably blunt late-night host. While the decision to cancel The Late Show with Stephen Colbert was a financial one, according to CBS, it has not gone unnoticed that the hammer fell just days after Colbert called CBS settling a lawsuit with President Trump a “bribe” as part of parent company Paramount’s planned merger with Skydance, a merger which was approved shortly after the cancellation was announced.

It’s a somewhat casual response from Colbert, though it should be said that the via satellite conversation was fairly casual in general. The CNN New Year’s Eve show has something of a reputation for getting at least slightly out of hand as the co-hosts openly drink during the show. Cooper even specifically mentioned that he hadn't wanted Cohen to ask Colbert the question, perhaps because of the can of worms it might open. This might also have been the reason Cohen asked the question in the first place.

New Year’s Eve is a party after all, and everybody involved was having a good time. Colbert even played “Never Have I Ever” because it was just that sort of night. Watch for yourself:

The whole situation is somewhat rare. Usually, when a host leaves a show with a long lead time, it’s because they made the decision to leave. In this case, Colbert has made it clear this was not his decision, which has left the rating leading late-night host to basically do and say whatever he likes about the situation for months before his exit.

While some have suggested that CBS should simply undo its decision to cancel The Late Show, the fact that it hasn’t happened yet, since the new CEO took over, makes it seem unlikely that it will. An exact date for the final episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has not yet been announced, but it will happen this May.

I knew Heated Rivalry was a certified hit; however, that was emphasized big time when Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper brought it up on their New Year’s Eve broadcast, not once, but multiple times. That’s right, these two mentioned the beloved, smutty, queer hockey show on during CNN’s broadcast on multiple different occasions. Now, the show’s creator and cast, as well as the books’ author, have shared their A+ reactions to being a big part of kicking off the 2026 TV schedule with the broadcasters.

As per usual, Cooper and Cohen's New Year’s Eve broadcast was unhinged in the best way. The journalist did a dramatic reading of Taylor Swift’s song “Wood,” both of them had puppets of themselves, and they mentioned Heated Rivalry (which you can stream with an HBO Max subscription) quite a few times.

At one point, Cohen and Cooper were discussing who was Ilya and Shane of the two of them. While the Bravo personality said he was Shane, and the journalist was Ilya, Cooper had to disagree with him. Rather than opting to relate to the two lead characters, he said he’s much more like the smoothie maker Kip, who is a supporting character at the center of Episode 3’s love story as he falls in love with star hockey player Scott. It was hilarious, and author Rachel Reid thought so too, as she reposted the moment with the following reaction on her IG story:

Along with Reid posting her thoughts about this hilarious interaction, Robbie G.K., who plays Kip on Heated Rivalry, responded too. He commented on Evan Ross Katz’s post about Cooper saying he was the most like Kip with the following statement:

What a fabulous reaction! However, the fun does not end there.

When Stephen Colbert appeared on the broadcast, his wife, Evie, also made a cameo. As Cooper and Choen joked with them, the Watch What Happens Live host said that Colbert’s wife was “the top of their relationship.” In response, The Late Show host said he’s “a bossy bottom.” That made Anderson Cooper lose it, and while laughing, he asked, “Has Heated Rivalry made everybody insane?”

This was the moment Jacob Tierney, the show’s creator, director, writer and executive producer, reacted to on Instagram. Posting screenshots of the three men during this hilarious interaction, he simply used an emoji to perfectly encapsulate his feelings about this situation:

At the time of this writing, Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, who play Ilya and Shane, respectively, have not responded to this wild broadcast. However, if they do, there’s more for them to react to. That’s because, along with the aforementioned comments, Cooper and Cohen also asked Brandi Carlile if lesbians like Heated Rivalry, and she said it was all she could think about.

So, as you can see, this book-to-screen adaptation has quite the hold on pop culture, seeing as it was brought up multiple times on New Year’s Eve and was met with tons of hilarious reactions from fans and people who work on the show. As Evan Ross Katz’s post noted, it’s like we’re in “collective psychosis” with this wonderful romance, and clearly, Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen are bewitched by it too.

Anderson Cooper must not be too much of a Swiftie, because he was not familiar with “Wood,” a song off of the Eras Tour artist’s latest album The Life of a Showgirl that is basically an ode to Travis Kelce’s manhood. Andy Cohen got his co-host to read the double entendre-filled lyrics during CNN’s New Year’s Eve Live, and the giggles they caused the journalist are giving me the energy I need to kickstart this new year. It’s stunts like this that make Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen such a successful duo to pull off this holiday show (even if some people get snarky about it), because I can’t get enough of the Watch What Happens Live host’s devilish grin. I think Cooper quickly found that he was in over his head with the “Wood” reading, because that, “Oh!” read as both part of the lyrics and a realization of what that “redwood tree” was meant to symbolize.

The news anchor then fell into a fit of giggles not unlike the time he and Andy Cohen interviewed John Mayer in a cat bar, and you didn’t have to be a few drinks in to join in the infectious laughter.

Props to Andy Cohen if bringing “Wood” to the party was his idea, because not only did it provide one of the best moments from all networks’ New Year’s Eve coverage (in my opinion), but it celebrated what was a huge pop culture moment from 2025.

Not only was the song one of the “bangers” on Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album that came out last year, but it honored her relationship with Travis Kelce. 2025, after all, was the year that saw the celebrity couple get engaged with the already iconic announcement that: “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.” TNT emojis all around!

The glee in Anderson Cooper’s laughter combined with Andy Cohen’s, “Knock on wood, baby!” is such a vibe, and I agree with the comments that it sets the perfect tone for new beginnings in 2026.

Errors, gaffes, and slip-ups are to be expected when working in Hollywood, but not all bloopers are created equal. Andy Cohen, creator of the Real Housewives franchise, admitted that one of his most unforgettable mishaps also involved one of the most influential women in TV history: Oprah Winfrey. After an excellent interview, everything went sideways due to one question, which relates to a long-standing rumor involving her best friend, Gayle King.

During a Fan Fest week episode of TODAY, Andy Cohen asked his peers whether or not they had ever had an unforgettable "oops" moment on set. After each anchor shared their personal misstep, the Watch What Happens Live! host revealed his moment included Oprah. After an above average formal sit down with the iconic former talk show host, Cohen inquired about her prior personal relations. The energy quickly changed, as he revealed how she responded:

Oof, that’s quite a doozy. Sure, plenty of people from Oscar winners to AGT participants experience bloopers, but it's easy to understand why the New Year's Eve Live co-host’s experience with Oprah Winfrey has stuck with him. It’s one thing to have a personal flub televised; it’s a whole other experience when it directly pertains to Oprah. And beyond all of that, to ask her about something that has shadowed her long-time friendship with King puts an awkward cherry on top.

Naturally, Cohen followed up quickly after the matter stating his regret and apologies, but clearly the interaction still haunts him. I can only assume he’s living through some triggers since he re-confessed his feelings about it amid the 2025 TV schedule. Or perhaps he’s made enough peace with it to at least share it as an example of where the line is with an interviewee.

But as mentioned, a fumble on set or in real time is pretty commonplace. It even happens to other pros in situations like when Jenna Bush Hager cursed live on air and Carson Daly mispronounced Leonardo DiCaprio’s name. At the end of the day, we’re all human and things going awry is inevitable. Most gaffes just don’t make it onto screens for millions of people to see! As for Andy Cohen’s bold question to Oprah, it’ll float around in blooper infamy.

When I think of Baywatch, I automatically think of Pamela Anderson’s iconic role in the TV show. However, I just found out how much the actress got paid early on to be in the show, and it’s definitely a lot less cash than what I would have expected. While promoting her leading role in what’s apparently one of the funniest 2025 movie releases, The Naked Gun, the actress spilled on what she originally made and how that compared to David Hasselhoff's amount.

How Much Was Pamela Anderson Paid For Baywatch?

When Pamela Anderson was on Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show with The Naked Gun cast promoting the comedy, the host asked what she was making when she joined the series in 1992. Here’s what she said:

That’s not a lot, especially considering that Baywatch was once one of the most watched shows in the world, with an estimated weekly audience of more than 1.1 billion in 142 countries in 1996, per Guinness World Records. Cohen followed up his question by asking when her first renegotiation took place. In her words:

In the docuseries After Baywatch: Moment In The Sun, it was revealed (via The New York Post) that most actors on the show weren’t happy with their paycheck, with Nicole Eggert sharing they offered everyone “like $3,500 a show”. As the actress pointed out, it was a big difference to Friends where they were making “$1 million an episode”. The cast also claimed that “everyone was disposable” on Baywatch, and if you didn’t “fit into their brand” and the “price they were paying you, you were gone.”

How Did It Compare To David Hasselhoff?

After seeing this interview, I also learned that Pamela Anderson actually spent most of her life in debt. In her viral Netflix documentary, Pamela, A Love Story, it was revealed that she spent most of her life dealing with financial woes, even though at one time, she was one of the most famous women in the world. During the same Cohen interview, the host asked her if she thought she made the same as co-star David Hasselhoff. Here’s her response:

I'd like to think that if Baywatch premiered today things would be different, but it is what it is for Pamela Anderson. The 58-year-old icon shared that her kids are “very protective” over the fact that she didn’t get what she deserved on Baywatch and isn’t getting streaming residuals because the medium didn’t exist when she signed her contract. It sounds like they are ready to fight for her, and perhaps change those circumstances.

Sex and The City is a HBO show that got people talking, and has remained a vital part of the pop culture landscape for decades. Its spinoff And Just Like That is in the midst of Season 3 for those with a HBO Max subscription, and it's been a wild one. The penultimate episode just aired, and featured a surprise cameo by Andy Cohen, who reprised his role from Sex and The City Season 6. And yes, fans are freaking out about it.

Season 3 of And Just Like That has been a ride, and I'm sad it's almost over. I was over the moon that Carrie and Aidan finally broke up in the latest episode, but another moment also broke the internet: Andy Cohen's return as Daniel the shoe salesman. HBO's Instagram post featured his scenes in both shows, check it out:

Andy Cohen and Sarah Jessica Parker are besties, so seeing them back in the Sex and the City universe together got folks talking. While he wasn't a public figure when he popped up in the original series, an appearance by Andy means much more now that he's famous... even for folks who aren't obsessed with the Real Housewives franchise.

The TV market is used to its fair share of cancellations, but the 2025 TV schedule has been quite an interesting minefield of surprises. The most recent (and certainly the most shocking) was CBS’ abrupt cancellation of The Late Show, which will see Stephen Colbert sunsetting the program for good in May 2026.

The company has stood by its decision on the grounds of it being a “financial decision,” but personalities like Bravo host Andy Cohen aren’t convinced - and think it’s a sign of a greater problem ahead. During a recent episode of Sirius XM’s Andy Cohen Live, the man himself weighed in on the hot button issue that has riled up fans and supporters of Mr. Colbert. Noting the importance of The Late Show’s legacy on its home network, Cohen started dissecting the issue thusly:

Getting further into his discussion on potential cost cutting measures, Andy Cohen went even further by suggesting some other moves to tighten the metaphorical purse strings, such as staffing cuts. Despite The Late Show staff's thoughts on the cancellation, one could presume that some show would have been better than no show at all.

The Watch What Happens Live host even brought up The Tonight Show’s shift to four-episode weeks as another tactic that could have stemmed the bleeding. Showing further frustration with the situation, Andy Cohen moved into this alternate scenario, which to him is the proof that CBS is “cooked”:

Between the cancellations of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as well as After Midnight’s sunsetting this past June, CBS’ late night apparatus is effectively done. Neither show has a substitute, leaving two long time fixtures in the history books. Andy Cohen understands this, and on a larger scale Jimmy Kimmel's comments on late night's future comprehend this shift as well.

That won't stop the laughter, and it certainly won't stop the show...at least for another 10 months. You can see that spirit in this clip from last night's The Late Show, where Mr. Cohen and his chat show brethren took part in a very topical gag on the matter:

It’s been months since ABC dropped the news that The Conners will be ending with Season 7, putting it alongside many other shows canceled in 2024 whose final episodes will be hitting the 2025 premiere schedule. And during the long wait for new episodes, comedian and former Roseanne showrunner Whitney Cummings dropped the espresso-flavored bombshell that pop star and Disney vet Sabrina Carpenter originally auditioned to play Darlene’s daughter Harris when the initial revival was coming together.

The news sparked questions about why the casting team would have passed over the Girl Meets World alum when casting for the teen daughter character, but Cummings clarified that part of the story when appearing on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast alongside co-hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. There, Cohen inquired (perhaps in a targeted fashion) about why Cummings & Co. would have turned Carpenter down for the role, which sparked the Fast Friends host to respond with:

To her point there, Andy Cohen has built part of his career on setting up dramatic situations, whether it's through being a producer on Bravo's Real Housewives franchise or as the host of the nightly chat show Watch What Happens Live, which often features celebs either answering or steadfastedly avoiding questions about scandalous career moments. So it was totally in line with expectations that he'd bring up Whitney Cummings' past admission that the pop star was one of the hopefuls auditioning for Roseanne's tenth season.

The Roast queen didn't fully take the bait, though, and addressed his question in a way that made it clear that it wasn't a case where Sabrina Carpenter put in a lackluster audition or did anything in particular to convince the producers to go with someone else. Rather, Cummings just plainly stated that she just plainly didn't match up with what they were looking for with Harris.

Eventual fan-fave star Emma Kenney wound up landing the role while she was still co-starring in Shameless, and while she doesn't necessarily look exactly like Sara Gilbert, I dare say her take on Harris is a more believable Conner family addition than anyone who could be described as "blonde and bubbly." It'd still be cool to live in a Sliding Doors scenario where we could see how the show would look with the "Please Please Please" singer in the Lanford clan.

After that big of clarification, Whitney Cummings joked that she probably deserves some kind of payoff from the pop star for not casting her on Roseanne ahead of its eventual transition into The Conners, since her music career might not have taken off quite so strongly had she been putting in hours on a network sitcom. As Cummings put it:

For instance, if Sabrina Carpenter was already too busy filming for The Conners' shortened, but event-sized final season, she might not have been able to film her big Nonsense Christmas special, which is currently available to stream with a Netflix subscription.

Though Cummings isn't actively part of the current Conners team, hopefully someone behind the scenes had the idea to get Carpenter involved in the final season when it filmed last year. I mean, probably not, but there's no harm in wishing.

In the years since its inception, the Real Housewives franchise has become a sensation on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). It's a great time to be a fan, with four different cities currently airing at the same time. But fans are eager to know what's going to happen with The Real Housewives of New Jersey, after they were unable to film a traditional reunion. And now Margaret Josephs has reacted to Andy Cohen shutting down Jennifer Aydin’s casting claims.

While RHONJ OG Teresa Giudice was happy with the revised reunion, the fact that the women couldn't be in one room was a sign that a casting shakeup was needed. There's been no word from the network, leading fans to wonder about what's going to happen in the Garden State after the explosive Season 14 finale. In a conversation with Dorinda Medley on Radio Andy, Josephs shared her reaction to comments made by both Aydin and Cohen, offering:

Margaret and Jennifer have feuded for years on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, so it should be no surprise that she's shaking her head at this situation. It seems the cast is still i the dark about who will be back, and Aydin's comments on a recent Instagram Live about returning (alongside Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania) weren't exactly true. We'll just have to keep waiting for official news from the network.

Margaret has battle with Teresa and a number of other women during her years on RHONJ, so she's not exactly someone who guards her words. And later on in the same interview with RHONY alum Dorinda Medley, she said:

Bravo is presumably keeping busy with the new season of RHOSLC, RHOC, RHOP, and RHONY that are currently airing on the network. And as such, we still haven't heard news about what's going on in New Jersey. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later, otherwise another cast member might speculate and go viral like Jennifer Aydin.

What Andy Cohen said about the RHONJ rumors.

After Aydin "confirmed" on an Instagram Live that she was returning to The Real Housewives of New Jersey, eventually Andy Cohen was forced to address the matter on the radio. When asked by co-host and friend John Hill about the casting claim, he said:

There you have it. While it sounds like things are moving behind the scenes, no official offers have gone out to the ladies of The Real Housewives of New Jersey. And I have to wonder if/how Jennifer Aydin's viral comments might impact her ability to return. Although I have to say, messy behavior like this is why she makes such a great Housewife.

You never know what's going to happen on a New Years Eve live broadcast. They can include a memorable pop culture moment or two, like Mariah Carey’s lip-syncing fiasco. Such is the case with Andy Cohen and Ryan Seacrest’s infamous New Years Eve beef. The two hosts know each other well, having hosted competing ABC and CNN New Years broadcasts for the past several years. The Bravo alum and American Idol host previously engaged in a back-and-forth related to their New Years Eve programs, but that spat just ended in a very non-dramatic way.

Ryan Seacrest was recently a guest on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, mainly to discuss his new job as Wheel of Fortune's host alongside Vanna White. Upon a fan writing into Cohen’s show asking about the aforementioned beef, the two agreed to end their feud (as glimpsed on X), with Cohen making a very ironic admission:

Well, the internet certainly does. CNN’s NYE broadcasts are always lively, with hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper typically having some drinks alongside the audience. It's a tradition adored by many (but not all Twitter users) and definitely tends to yield some entertaining content, like the viral John Mayer cat bar interview from this past NYE, during which the hosts could not contain their laughter.

Most notably, in 2021, the CNN leads partook in the festivities a little earlier than intended. It was all good fun until the Real Housewives EP called Ryan Seacrest and his colleagues “a group of losers.” The Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum later called them out, without naming names. Eventually, the Idol veteran said Andy Cohen ignored his attempts to say hello over the crowd, with the Bravo bigwig somewhat throwing Anderson Cooper under the bus while giving his explanation.

Whether or not that’s true, there seems to be no real bad blood between the two TV personalities. I guess you could chalk it up to just some good, old-fashioned New Years rowdiness that went awry. But the network hosts agreed to make more of an effort to acknowledge each other during the festivities this year, even if just for the audience’s sake, with Ryan Seacrest saying:

That’s great and all, but I would really love to see more than a wave on my TV this New Years. Something with a little more pizazz to end this NYE feud would be very fitting. Maybe we can get them to do a little toast together, a CNN and ABC crossover event to ring in the new quarter-century. (And bring back John Mayer and the cats, too.) Whatever the case, it's just sweet to see Ryan Seacrest and Andy Cohen on good terms.

Andy Cohen explained why RHONJ won’t be reuniting this time around, and as a longtime fan I get it.

New Jersey was the first Real Housewives show I watched, because as a NJ native I couldn't resist. While I'm still a fan, the past few seasons have been dark, especially related to the feud between OG Teresa Giudice and and Melissa and Joe Gorga. Cohen recently called in to Radio Andy, where he gave context to the decision to skip a reunion for Season 14. As he put it:

Well, I'm intrigued. The Real Housewives of New Jersey has had plenty of explosive and truly iconic moments throughout the years, starting with Teresa's infamous table flip. And it sounds like the finale is going to feature a conflict that's so big satisfying that a reunion wasn't needed. If the finale delivers another iconic Housewives moment, I could see why rehashing things in a reunion might be a let down... especially after we've seen some of the same arguments happening for years.

When news of RHONJ skipping the reunion leaked online, fans assumed this was due to Melissa and Teresa not wanting to be in the same room with each other. The two in-laws's relationship finally reached a breaking point last season, with Melissa missing Teresa's wedding to Louie. But it tuns out that the producers were all on the same page after the finale was cut and edited. In that same interview, Cohen further explained this by saying:

So what exactly is going to go down? It's unclear, but the trailer for Season 14 seemingly opened on the aftermath of the group event, with Dolores (who is rumored to be in the cast of The Traitors Season 3) left alone at a dinner table alone. The alliances of the RHONJ ladies are shifting this year, so exactly what goes down in the finale is a mystery.

Many of us thank Andy Cohen for this movement, as he is a producer on the shows, as well as the host of the reunions as well as Watch What Happens Live! And after chatter online and an ongoing legal situation, Cohen has responded to allegations made about the network pressuring Housewives to drink. At least, as much as his lawyers think he can say.

The Housewives franchise keeps expanding on Bravo (and streaming with a Paramount+ subscription), but there have been a number of controversies looming above it recently. One of which comes from ex-RHONY cast member Leah McSweeney, who alleged that she was pressured into drinking while filming. She also claimed that Cohen did drugs with Housewives, and that those who partook got preferential treatment. While speaking with THR about his celebrated career in broadcast, he addressed the issue of alcohol, saying:

There you have it. Cohen is denying any claims that Bravolebrities are pressured into getting drunk while filming. And on top of that he mentioned a number of Housewives who don't drink or got sober while on the show. That includes another RHONY star: Countless Luann, who has had some public issues with alcohol.

There are definitely non-Bravo reality shows shows that have made booze readily available for cast members, seemingly in hopes of drama and sparks flying. But Cohen doesn't think that the Real Housewives franchise actually needs liquid courage to start drama. As he put it:

Andy Cohen has his receipts, and reach of these references will be familiar hardcore Housewives fans like myself. It certainly seems like drinking isn't mandatory, even if it is fun seeing the likes of RHONY, RHOP, or RHOBH letting loose.

What are the lawsuits Andy Cohen is facing?

Leah McSweeney has filed a lawsuit against Bravo and Andy Cohen, but that's not the only legal shakeup that's been coming from former cast members. Amidst her RHUGT drama, Caroline Manzo is suing Bravo for creating an unsafe work environment, also pointing at the use of liquor by Housewives.

And while Brandi Glanville is named in Manzo's lawsuit after she allegedly sexually assaulted the Real Housewives of New Jersey OG, she has her own issue with Andy Cohen. She claimed that he sexually harassed her back in 2022, a claim he briefly addressed on his Twitter but not the long THR story.

There's also been calls by RHONY alum Bethenny Frankel for reality stars to form a union, and she's offered a ton of criticism at the network and Cohen. But where she's concerned, there hasn't been any legal paperwork signed.

Many around the world who keep their finger on the pulse of the Royal Family were alarmed at Kate Middleton’s absence from public life over the past few months — despite word from the palace that she was recovering from surgery. Rumors continued to spread until the Princess of Wales herself released a video to reveal that she’d been diagnosed with cancer. The aftermath has seen backlash against those who made light of the situation, including Andy Cohen, who had indulged in conspiracy theories, and the What Happens Live host would like to formally apologize.

Andy Cohen’s radio show had been on hiatus since the announcement, but immediately upon his return to the airwaves, the host opened with a statement regarding Kate Middleton. He said on SiruisXM’s Andy Cohen Live: 

Leading up to Kate Middleton’s announcement, Andy Cohen had helped to fuel conspiracy rumors, tweeting, “That ain’t Kate….” when the princess allegedly made her first public appearance since undergoing abdominal surgery. He also spoke on his Daddy Diaries podcast about the Prince William affair rumors, and how it all “seems to come back to this lady Rose.”

He now seems to have some regret about his role in fueling any of the conversations surrounding the Prince and Princess of Wales as they and their three children deal with the diagnosis. 

Andy Cohen isn’t the only celeb to backtrack following Kate Middleton’s news, either. Blake Lively had trolled the princess over the viral Mother’s Day Photoshop fiasco by posting a terribly doctored image to her Instagram account in promotion of her Betty Booze and Betty Buzz beverages, joking, “Now you know why I’ve been MIA.” The Gossip Girl star has since deleted the image and issued an apology, saying she was “mortified” by her “silly post” in light of the news.

Until her announcement in March, Kate Middleton hadn’t been seen publicly since Christmas Day. The Royal Family had previously stated that she would be hospitalized to undergo stomach surgery and would remain out of the limelight until April as she recovered. However, even knowing that, her absence sparked concern, which was likely compounded by King Charles III’s own cancer diagnosis. 

However, the jokes and shots being taken at the royals’ expense hit different after Princess Kate’s March 22 statement, in which she revealed:

She said her medical team had recommended a "course of preventative chemotherapy" and explained that the news had come as a huge shock to their family and had “taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that’s appropriate for them and to reassure them that I’m going to be OK.”

The speculation couldn’t have made that process any easier, so it’s good to see people like Andy Cohen coming forward to apologize for their part in the added stress.

Over the years, the Real Housewives franchise has grown into a massive enterprise, with a number of cities airing new seasons on Bravo at any point (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). While the network is showing no signs of slowing down,  there have been a number of lawsuits aimed at Bravo, the production companies that shoot Housewives, and Andy Cohen himself. And Cohen's lawyers recently fired back at RHONY alum Leah McSweeney's allegations of drug use.

For those who don't know, McSweeney starred in two seasons of RHONY, before appearing in the third season of Ultimate Girls Trip spinoff. But now she's suing Cohen and others, claiming that she was encouraged to relapse and drink while filming. She also alleged that Cohen offered Housewives cocaine, and punished those who turned it down. His lawyers response was picked up by Page Six, categorically denying the drug allegations. Cohen reportedly called the suit a "shakedown" while the legal team's response reads:

That seems pretty cut and dry. Clearly Cohen and his team are denying the allegations made by McSweeney about the presence of drugs within Watch What Happens Live and the greater Bravo-verse. We'll just have to wait and see how this lawsuit ultimately plays out in the courts.

McSweeney's lawsuit comes on the heels of the "reality reckoning." Originally led by RHONY icon Bethenny Frankel, a number of Housewives have issues lawsuits against Bravo, Cohen, and others. That includes the ongoing drama surrounding Caroline Manzo and Brandi Glanville's interaction during RHUGT. Later in the his lawyers' response to the McSweeney (via Page Six), they claim that the former Housewife is making her allegations up. The statement reads:

Of course, Leah McSweeney also stands firm in her allegations about what went down during her years as a Real Housewife. She's been doing plenty of press about her claims, resulting in an ongoing conversation within the greater Bravoverse. In response, a number of other Housewives have come to Cohen's defense, claiming they've never seen this alleged drug use. That includes some of the women from RHONY who filmed with Leah. 

Given how many lawsuits are currently surrounding Bravo, it does seem like a high stakes moment for the network, and Andy Cohen himself. We'll just have to wait and see how it all shakes out. For now, check out the TV premiere list to plan your next binge watch. 

Grammy Night is always a big occasion for the musicians being honored, but Kandi Burruss of The Real Housewives of Atlanta had her own professional milestone moment on the red carpet. The reality TV veteran announced that she would not be returning for Season 16 of the Bravo reality show. This was not news to executive producer Andy Cohen, though he said didn’t know she’d planned to let the cat out of the bag at the awards show. The host reflected on the end of Burruss’ epic stint on RHOA, calling her “one of my favorite people."

Kandi Burruss is the longest-serving cast member in the Real Housewives franchise, having joined the Atlanta cast in Season 2. Andy Cohen opened up about her 14 years on Bravo and her “iconic” contributions to RHOA on SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live, including how she wrote and produced Kim Zolciak’s “Tardy for the Party.” He also praised Burruss’ authenticity, saying: 

Andy Cohen went on to talk about how smart and strategic Kandi Burruss always was, making her opinions known about Bravo’s marketing strategies and offering her own suggestions. This notably came into play in 2020, when tensions were running particularly high in matters of politics and race relations. The WWHL host recalled the impact she had not just on The Real Housewives of Atlanta but on how Bravo did business overall. Cohen said: 

While no one expected Kandi Burruss to make such a big announcement on the Grammys red carpet, it’s actually a pretty appropriate venue, given her background in music. The Masked Singer’s first female winner was nominated for a Grammy Award for her work on the Destiny Child hit “Bills, Bills, Bills,” in 2000, the same year that she won for Best R&B Song with TLC’s “No Scrubs.”

Variety caught up with The Real Housewives of Atlanta star on the red carpet, where she divulged: 

Neither Kandi Burruss nor Andy Cohen seemed to rule out her return to the series down the road, with the EP saying, “Bravo will be in business with her for a long time,” and that there are “other things in development.” Based on Burruss’ own comments, it sounds like she’s got some other coals in the fire, too, so we’ll have to see if Bravo remains involved in her next ventures. 

A shakeup amongst the RHOA cast members was expected after Season 15 wrapped in September, with many fans wondering if NeNe Leakes might make a return, despite her comments throwing shade at the entire Real Housewives franchise last year. While we wait to see who will comprise the Season 16 cast and when its premiere date will hit the 2024 TV schedule, fans can catch all of their favorite Bravo-lebrities streaming with a Peacock subscription.  

It's a great time to be a fan of the Real Housewives, as the franchise is airing a number of seasons in addition to a few of the women being on the cast of The Traitors Season 2. Season 4 of RHOSLC recently wrapped, and it was a great batch of episodes that shows why that franchise is top-tier Housewives. Much of the drama surrounding the season surrounded newcomer Monica Garcia, especially during that wild season finale. After Salt Lake's explosive reunion, Andy Cohen himself explained why Monica won't be back for next season.

After a less than stellar Season 3, the fourth season of Salt Lake City (which can be seen on Bravo or streaming with a Peacock subscription) has been breaking the internet. Fans were fascinated by Monica's tense relationship with her mother, and more invested once Heather Gay reveled in the finale that the newbie was one of the people behind the troll account Reality Von Tease. Bravo boss and WWHL host Andy Cohen spoke to Variety about the way the show ended, and explained how Monica's performance during the three-part reunion sealed her fate. As he put it:

Fair point. The reunions are where Housewives are tasked with sticking the landing for their performance on the season. Whether its apologizing for bad behavior or standing in one's power, the stakes are high. And unfortunately Monica failed make any headway with the rest of the cast, which essentially banished her from The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. 

While the cast all said they wouldn't film with Monica, some Bravo fans were holding out hope that she'd still be included in Season 5 of RHOSLC. After all, who wouldn't want to see this story continued? In the same piece by Variety, showrunner Lori Gordon shared more about why Garcia won't be back, saying:

She's not wrong. The whole concept of the Real Housewives franchise is that we're following affluent women from various cities and the drama of their friendship circle.   And the fact that the cast of Salt Lake all seemingly hate Monica, the show might not work... even if there was drama.  

While Heather Gay struggled last season, she was a breakout star of Season 4. Her confrontation with Monica in the finale broke the internet and has been turned into countless memes. Gay also spoke to Variety about her unwillingness to be around Garcia, saying:

Monica is officially out of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, and it should be fascinating to see how the cast shakeup goes down for Season 5. Maybe she'll be able to be used in other projects like a season of Ultimate Girls Trip or even in a future installment of The Traitors. Only time will tell, but her impact will surely be felt on Salt Lake moving forward.

The Real Housewives franchise has become a behemoth force in the entertainment industry, with a number of cities airing new episodes on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). One of the shows that's currently putting out new episodes is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which has a pretty good season thus far. And Bravo boss Andy Cohen recently weighed in on Denise Richards and Erika Jayne's beef on the show.

Back in December Denise Richards returned to RHOBH and went viral for her behavior at Kyle's weed-infused dinner party. During that event she confronted Erika Jayne about thinks that happened years ago, and that fight continued in one of the most recent episodes, with the "Expensive To Be Me" singer going HAM and bringing Richards' OnlyFans. Cohen was asked by Life and Style about that conflict, and if he took someone's side. He responded, offering:

There you have it. It's probably in Andy Cohen's best to not take sides during Housewives fights, especially since alliances and friendship are always changing. But that confrontation between Erika and Denise was pretty brutal, with the latter looking dumbfounded by Jayne's response.

While Erika Jayne made headlines for her legal issues, that's mostly in the rear view during this season of RHOBH. She seems lighter in Season 13, but that changed once Denise Richards started a fight with her in front of the other women. While she gave her grace the first time, Round 2 was a brawl.

That second fight happened a few episodes ago, during Taco Tuesday at RHOBH cast member Crystal's house. Denise once again tried to bring Erika to task over a conflict from years ago, and Jayne doesn't respond well. She not only brings up Denise OnlyFans, but also the fact that Richards' daughter is also on OF. That argument lasted two episodes, and quickly went viral.

While Andy Cohen doesn't take sides, he did weigh in on how Denise's conversation with Erika ultimately went. As he put it:

Fair point. While Denise Richards started the fight, Erika Jayne was the clear winner of their verbal scuffle. While some fans took umbrage with Erika bringing Denise's daughter into it, the clip itself has definitely circulated online. We'll just have to wait and see if the former Bond Girl makes any more appearances on the reality TV series.

Celebrating the new year on the small screen usually involves celebrities stepping up to host, musical guests, and the annual ball dropping in New York City. In recent years, however, December 31 celebrations on television have involved a mini "feud" between Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve's Ryan Seacrest and CNN New Year's Eve's Andy Cohen. The Bravo host, who teamed up with Anderson Cooper to get the giggles over John Mayer's cat bar appearance, called out Seacrest in the final hours of 2023 as the latest development, so it's time to look back at how the back-and-forth started years ago.  

New Year's Eve 2021

Back in 2021, Ryan Seacrest was hosting ABC's New Year's countdown to 2022 while Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper were leading the festivities for CNN, and one noticeable difference was that Cohen and Cooper were drinking during the broadcast. The Bravo personality commented on what was going on over in the ABC camp at the time, saying on-air: 

It was a bold statement that you wouldn't usually expect to see during a New Year's broadcast, with Anderson Cooper laughing at Cohen's comments. It was also only the beginning of a back-and-forth with Ryan Seacrest about ringing in the new year. 

New Year's Eve 2022

CNN decided to put a limit on on-air drinking for the 2022 broadcast with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, and Ryan Seacrest opened up to Entertainment Weekly on the news. Although he didn't specifically name Cohen (or Cooper), it seems clear who he was alluding to. Seacrest said: 

Given that Andy Cohen is known for his presence on Bravo for the Real Housewives franchise – and is no stranger to guests getting mad at him – while Anderson Cooper is a longtime CNN host, it's safe to say that Cooper is the "serious journalist" who Seacrest was alluding to. It's hard to argue that Dick Clark's Rockin' New Year's Eve isn't bigger and broader, though; airing on ABC rather than CNN gives it a much larger audience. 

Ryan Seacrest, who was tapped to replace Pat Sajak as Wheel of Fortune host, then said in an early 2023 episode of Live! with Kelly and Ryan that Cohen didn't greet him while they filmed their respective New Year's specials, despite standing just ten feet away. Seacrest credited Anderson Cooper for turning around and saying to "have a good show," but "Andy did not turn around."

Cohen responded on his own radio show, saying that Anderson Cooper usually gives him the heads up when he's about to wave at Seacrest, but didn't this time around. Cooper said that Cohen was involved in "some producing thing" at the time and assumed that Cohen had already said hello. 

The Hosts Clear The Air To Start 2023

While it may sound like the hosts were genuinely annoyed with each other about their respective New Year's broadcasts, they cleared the air in early 2023 when Cohen stopped by Ryan Seacrest's On Air radio show and established that while he does "like watching people fight," he doesn't "like fighting with people." Seacrest confirmed that they weren't fighting, then explained an interaction he had with a woman who mentioned Cohen to him:

That seemed like it could be the end of the story, but Andy Cohen dropped some comments about Seacrest in the final hours of 2023 that thickened the plot.

New Year's Eve 2023

Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen were drinking to ring in 2024 on CNN, and there were just a few hours to go in 2023 when Cohen commented on Seacrest, who was once again hosting on ABC. After taking a shot at 9 p.m. ET, Cohen said (via THR):

After Seacrest and Cohen made it clear that they were longtime friends, it sounds like this was just a jab between pals rather than prolonging a genuine feud. If anything, I feel like it should be a New Year's Eve tradition at this point! Anderson Cooper – who once battled the NYE cold in NYC with heated clothing – might disagree, as he told his on-air partner "Don't start it" and "Don't even mention it." 

Whether this fake "feud" continues remains to be seen; Ryan Seacrest hasn't commented at the time of writing. We may have to wait nearly a full year for another development. 

New Year's Eve is arguably one of the most exciting times for live television, and Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper are a large reason for that. The two famed friends have frequently shouldered the responsibility of  hostingCNN's New Year's Eve broadcast from Times Square, and it doesn't take much else to get them and viewers at home giggling at the sillier moments of the night. (Especially when booze is allowed.) 2023's biggest near-cat-astrophe involved a check-in with a hilariously straight-faced John Mayer from a cat bar in Tokyo, and the internet couldn't get enough of the entire thing. 

As the drinks flowed at Times Square in New York City, Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper catwalked into an interview John Mayer, who was already well into New Year's Day in Tokyo. Mayer was stationed at a "cat bar" for the segment, which, as he'll lay out in the video below, is exactly what it sounds like. Check out the segment, and watch Cooper lose any ability to form a sentence due to a wild case of the giggles: 

I'm not sure how many snarky comments Andy Cohen will respond to after that laughing fit by Anderson Cooper, but readers can rest assured that there was no shortage of people who loved seeing the entire segment from start to finish. Some, like @xoraveen, almost lost control more than the CNN host, and couldn't get enough of John Mayer fully embracing the mission of telling all there is to know about a random cat bar in Japan many watching will never venture to:  

The real highlight of this clip has to be Anderson Cooper, who couldn't get enough of the cats' buttholes frequently being exposed to the camera. Perhaps this celebrity with a famous parent wasn't used to being confronted with a cat's butt so intimately, or he was aware of how much some folks at the network likely hated that image going out to countless viewers. In either case, his giggles made the segment, and many like @caliiinoel loved it because of that:

And while Swifties may still attack John Mayer despite Taylor Swift's plights to inspire other behavior, he's certainly won some cool points with me for this interview. This segment wouldn't kill if Mayer didn't maintain his deadpan seriousness during the interview, unwilling to even acknowledge any ridiculousness of it all. @Vandel_Buster noticed the same thing and loved the contrast between the two parties: 

I've known John Mayer had comedic chops since his criminally underrated sketch on Chappelle's Show, and power to him for stone-facing it through this interview, but he can't get all the credit in this instance. I know I've already mentioned it, but it can't be said enough how the entire hilarity of this whole New Year's Eve segment boils down to seeing a cat butthole on television. As @MrEAnders pointed out, the whole segment descended into chaos as soon as the cat butt was right at the camera:

I have to say that it's refreshing to wake up in 2024 with some pleasant viral moment to kick off the year rather than some phony drama where Andy Cohen snubbed Ryan Seacrest like we had last year. That said, the new host of Wheel of Fortune might be a little miffed in the new year, knowing that one of the biggest viral moments of the night didn't happen on his special: 

I have to agree with @thekennaj's take, and if this viral moment is any indication of the energy the 2024 TV schedule will bring into the new year, we're in for a treat. That said, I do hope that's the final time I see a cat's butt on my screen for a while, unless it's tastefully done. 

New Year's Eve on CNN was a great time, but it's time to look ahead to 2024. Bravo executive producer Andy Cohen is best known onscreen as the host of the late-night show Watch What Happens Live!, those drama-filled Real Housewives reunion shows and oft drunk-and-snarky New Year's Eve programs with Anderson Cooper, but the Bravolebrity recently revealed those very hosting skills have landed him in hot water over the years. 

Cohen is known for asking "incredible personal, incredibly direct" questions to a whole host of subjects. The 2023 TV schedule featured him interviewing everyone from  A-list celebrities on Watch What Happens Live!  to the reality stars from the network's various popular series, including Vanderpump Rules and The Real Housewives and Below Deck franchises, in season-ending reunion specials. 

He's also rarely afraid to share an opinion; for example, he has admitted there are Real Housewives stars that he hates and refuses to follow on social media. 

The host recently discussed such interviewing tactics in a November 2023 TODAY interview with Evan Ross Katz, claiming that it's that very directness that has made the Watch What Happens Live! clubhouse "the place that you go for uncensored, unpredictable fun." 

However, not all Bravo die-hards appreciate Cohen's candor. He's been criticized by guests like Kathy Griffin in the past, and the television personality was recently on the receiving end of social-media pushback from fans after asking weight-related questions to several Bravo stars. Notably, Cohen had inquired whether The Real Housewives of New Jersey cast member Dolores Catania was using Ozempic, a drug used to medically treat diabetes that has famously been coopted by Hollywood for weight-loss purposes. 

Speaking to TODAY, the host said that the audience pushback was eye-opening for him:

As a whole, Cohen says he now welcomes constructive criticism not only from Bravo viewers watching at home but also from the guests sitting across from him during interviews, who "really get mad" when he crosses a boundary.

In the 14 years he's acted as host of Watch What Happens Live! and 16 years as emcee of Bravo's reality TV reunions, Cohen says he has "gotten way better at knowing what the line is":

Cohen also revealed details both professional and personal. As for his personal life, he shared that he plans to refrain from showing the faces of his two young children on his social media handles. (He welcomed his son, Benjamin, via surrogate in February 2019; a daughter, Lucy, followed in April 2022.)

On the job front, he commented on who he thinks should take over the Bravo hosting reins should he step down in the future.

On the morning of September 2, news broke that the beloved singer Jimmy Buffett died at the age of 76. The performer, who was adored for his laid-back beachy country music and his chain of restaurants, Margaritaville, passed away peacefully. Now, many celebrities, including Elton John, Miles Teller and more are paying tribute to the late “Margaritaville” singer. 

Artists from across many industries took to social media to show their love for and pay tribute to Jimmy Buffett. Rock legend, Elton John took to Instagram stories to show his love for the late singer. Reposting the IG announcement of Buffett’s death, the “Rocketman” singer wrote:

As Elton John noted, Buffett’s fans “adored him,” and he “never let them down.” With the same kind of adoration, Miles Teller took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to show his love for the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” singer by posting a quote and a photo of the two in Hawaiian shirts. 

LL Cool J also took to X to pay tribute to the singer and occasional actor. The NCIS: LA star and rapper wrote:

Buffett appeared in Jurassic World as the Margarita Man, and he performed “Margaritaville” with Chris Pratt at the premiere. He also worked as a producer on a few films like Hoot and Sun Dogs. However, what Jimmy Buffett is best known for is his music. So, of course, many musicians paid tribute to the iconic singer. 

Kenny Chesney, who also makes beachy country music that’s akin to Buffett’s laid-back tunes, took to Instagram to post a video of him singing “A Pirate Looks At Forty” in honor of his friend:

Chesney also uploaded a video of him singing “Margaritaville” with Buffett and his band.

Alan Jackson, who collaborated with Buffett on “It’s Five O'clock Somewhere,” posted a photo of him holding a CMA Award with his friend on X. He also added a beautiful quote that read:

Toby Keith, who was featured on Buffett’s song “Too Drunk To Karaoke” also took to X to write about his friend, collaborator and inspiration. The country singer posted two photos of them together and wrote:

There’s no question that Jimmy Buffett's passing is a major loss to many. He and his fun music were the soundtracks to many's summers, and as these tributes show there is a whole lot of love for him and his music. 

Those who were fans of his career also took to social media to pay tribute, and that included President Bill Clinton who posted on X :

The love truly runs deep for Jimmy Buffett and his music. We here at CinemaBlend, along with many others, hope he is having a cheeseburger in paradise. While he’ll be dearly missed, his legacy and his music will live on forever. 

Andy Cohen may know how to keep the gossip mill churning, both through his celebrity interviews on Watch What Happens Live and as executive producer of the popular Real Housewives franchise on Bravo, but every parent knows that raising kids is where the real drama’s at. The talk show host shared a video recently of what happened when he caught his son sneaking potato chips for breakfast, and plenty of celebs, including Cheri Oteri and John Mayer chimed in with their priceless takes on the most important meal of the day.

In a video posted to his Instagram, Andy Cohen showed himself talking to 4-year-old Ben, who was apparently hiding behind a chair while he enjoyed a breakfast of chips. The WWHL host was clearly amused with his son, despite being unsuccessful in his attempts to provide Ben with a more nutritious option. Check out the adorable post for yourself: 

Ben likely knew he wasn’t supposed to be eating the chips for breakfast, since his dad caught him hiding behind a chair while he enjoyed his snack, but that certainly didn’t stop the little one from crunching throughout the video. I don’t know what it is about kids offering up more information than is necessary, but Ben was pretty quick to inform Andy Cohen that the early-morning chip-eating had become a daily ritual. Saturday Night Live alum Cheri Oteri had a characteristically humorous reaction to the video, commenting:

Others in the comments loved seeing the adorable father-son interaction, especially the fact that Andy Cohen didn’t admonish little Ben, but rather admitted that he fully understood why his son would want to eat delicious potato chips for breakfast, even if they didn’t technically qualify as a “breakfast food.” Carnie Wilson commented:

However, Andy Cohen has spoken up in Markle’s defense on one issue, claiming that rumors that the Suits actress didn’t actually interview her podcast guests are “insane.”

Andy Cohen was a guest on an episode of Meghan Markle’s Archetypes podcast that aired in November, and through his own first-hand experience, he debunked the myth about her not conducting her own interviews, telling US Weekly:

Author Allison Yarrow also appeared on Archetypes last year, and following her taping in August, she took to Instagram to express her excitement about the series and thanked producer Farah Safari, who she called “an excellent interviewer.” You can see the original post below: 

Upon the release of her interview in November, the Daily Mail shined the spotlight on Allison Yarrow’s post, alleging the author’s comments were edited in between commentary from Meghan Markle, and that the two may not have even spoken.

It’s possible both sides to the story are true, as the Daily Mail article points out that some interviews with the Duchess of Sussex’s celebrity friends, including Serena Williams, Mindy Kaling and Jameela Jamil are clearly conversations between the two parties, supporting Andy Cohen’s comments. Other segments, the magazine argued, featured experts or academics speaking about a specific topic, and in those instances, the guests’ comments were interspersed with Meghan Markle’s thoughts.

However it went for Allison Yarrow, she didn’t seem upset about any aspect of her appearance on the show, and neither did Andy Cohen, for that matter. It’s all kind of moot anyway, with the recent news that Archetypes will not be returning for a second season, after Spotify and Archewell Audio — Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s company — mutually parted ways less than three years after signing a deal reportedly worth $20 million.

This rumor about Meghan Markle is just one of several criticisms Prince Harry’s wife has faced since the couple stepped away from their royal duties. Their Netflix docuseries Harry & Meghan has been slammed as a “series of lies” by Markle’s half-sister and by Queen Elizabeth’s friend, who said “the cruelty of it takes the breath away.” The Duke of Sussex hasn’t escaped the blowback either, especially following the publication of his tell-all memoir Spare, which included a number of wild allegations against King Charles, Prince William and other members of his family.

Over the last decade and change, Bravo's Real Housewives has become a behemoth reality TV empire. Throughout much of this time, The Real Housewives of New York City was a fan favorite, largely thanks to its iconic cast of women. But Season 13 failed to impress, and Bravo decided to reboot RHONY with an entirely new cast. It was also announced that the original cast was getting a legacy show its own, which pleased hardcore fans who weren't ready to part with the likes of Luann de Lesseps and Sonja Morgan. But the legacy show has actually turned into a season of Ultimate Girls Trip, and fans are sounding off online.

Real Housewives Ultimate Girls trip is basically like Housewives All-Stars, with iconic characters crossing over and creating quality TV. The show is available with a Peacock subscription, and Season 4 is already in the can. But the Peacock Twitter announced that the the following season will feature the ladies of RHONY, posting:

Well, there you have it. The cast of RHUGT Season 5 is made exclusively out of cast members of New York, and seemingly grew from the original concept of RHONY: Legacy. And this change of plans is getting a strong response online, including a fair amount of criticism. 

Some of this backlash was shared with memes and GIFs, while other fans while more specific about exactly why they disappointed with this turn of events. That includes superfan/ writer Danny Pellegrino's twitter, where he shared his thoughts on the manner:

Ever since Bravo announced the development of RHONY: Legacy, the fandom has been debating which of the women could/should make up the cast. There were a number of rumors about the show's development and negotiations, specifically around former Housewives like Jill Zarin. And while she's repeatedly spoken about how she's no longer interest in being a Housewife, some fans were hoping to see Bethenny Frankel (who is always making headlines for social media) return to the franchise once again. One fan posted on Twitter about the cast of RHUGT 5, saying:

While there's definitely some backlash online by Bravohaulics who were unhappy with how the Real Housewives of New York franchise has been switched around, there are also others who are all too happy to take in all the content. We are still getting a new season of RHONY coming with a new cast, as well as the upcoming season of Ultimate Girls Trip. Still, there seems to be plenty of hangups regarding the cast of women that are there for Season 5 of Ultimate Girls Trip. While we'll see the return of both Kelly Bensimon and Kristen Taekman, the cast is made up of just six women. RHONY has had a total of 17 full-time Housewives prior to the recent reboot, in addition to the friends that have also joined in on the fun. So it seems like a missed opportunity to not bring back some of the other ladies that have created such iconic TV over the years. Another tweet about the cast reads:

Another popular response to Peacock's Twitter announcement about RHUGT came from content creator Petshopboy's Twitter, whose popular social media outlets often comment on the Housewives franchise. He seemingly stood in defense of the two shows coming down the line for RHONY fans, saying:

The fandom is large, but most of all they're passionate about the stories of the reality TV franchise. So smart money say there will be plenty of eyes on both the new season of RHONY and the upcoming Ultimate Girls Trip.

The Real Housewives franchise is a massive property that is showing no signs of slowing down, with new seasons hitting both Bravo and Peacock. The past few years has also seen the property lean into true crime, thanks to legal issues surrounding both Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne and Salt Lake City’s Jen Shah. The latter Bravolebrity surrendered this week for her time in prison, after pleading guilty. And before heading behind bars for her sentenced 6 years and change, Shah made sure to clap back at Andy Cohen over that black eye accusation.

Season 3 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City recently wrapped up its run on Bravo, which featured Jen Shah maintaining that she was innocent of her crimes. A big plot line was also Heather Gay’s mysterious black eye, with Andy Cohen recently saying on Watch What Happens Live that he believes Shah could be responsible. Her rep responded to these claims in Lifestyle Magazine, just as Shah was heading to prison. They claimed that Jen was focusing on her family instead of Cohen’s words, with the statement also reading:

While Jen Shah and her family are no doubt going through a super trying time as they transition into their new normal, the RHOSLC star was careful to issue a quick clap back to Andy Cohen on her way to prison. Jen Shah’s rep didn’t expressly address the idea that she was responsible for Heather Gay’s black eye, but instead took aim at Andy Cohen himself. It referenced her noticeable absence from the Salt Lake City reunion, as well as a 1:1 interview with Cohen that was announced and promptly cancelled. Per Shah’s camp, that’s why Cohen made his recent viral comments on WWHL. 

Heather Gay’s black eye was a major plot point in the last season of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The reveal of her appearance was a shocking point in the trailer, with the season seemingly leading up to that point. But after the event, Gay flip flopped on whether or not she remembered what happened that night. A popular fan theory was that Jen Shah was responsible, and that her friend and co-star was trying to protect her from the incident affecting her forthcoming time in court. 

Jen Shah was nearly arrested on camera during Season 2 of RHOSLC, and has spent the last two seasons defending herself and claiming her innocence. This is why it turned so many heads when she ended pleading guilty. And now she’s actually begun doing time.

Nearly two decades after its conception, the Real Housewives franchise remains a widely popular IP – and one that only seems to be expanding. The reality TV property has experienced a few significant changes over the past several months, including the departures of series staples and legal entanglements of others. Additional big reveals from the past year are the rebooting of the New York City spinoff and the development of a spinoff focusing on its veteran stars. However, it was reported this week that the Legacy companion series is allegedly experiencing problems that could potentially cause the show to get canned. Now, amid the speculation, EP Andy Cohen has seemingly called BS on the newly surfaced rumors. 

A source alleged earlier this week that behind-the-scenes issues are currently plaguing The Real Housewives of New York City: Legacy. It was claimed that Bravo had “lost interest” in the production and that the company had reached an impasse when it came to contract negotiations with the cast. Per the report, the returning stars purportedly believe the network isn’t paying them what they’re worth. An insider even claimed that the personalities believe they should “make what the cast of Friends made in their heyday.”

(The casting of Lyons, who is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, was praised by GLAAD).

Many New York alums have shared thoughts on the retooled series and the Legacy offshoot. After the announcements were made, Bethenny Frankel shaded the ideas. But on the other hand, Luann De Lessepss said she was “thrilled” about the notion of the original cast returning. She also argued that it makes more sense to bring in tried-and-true vets than unpolished newbies. 

Neither Andy Cohen nor Bravo have given any indication as to when we might learn who those veterans are. But at the very least, Cohen’s apparent denial of the recent rumors should be enough to keep fans happy for the time being. Hopefully, the savvy producer’s casting plans are well worth the wait.

Lisa Rinna lost her mother, Lois, in November 2021, as she passed away after suffering from a stroke. Rinna later got candid about struggling after losing her mom. In terms of the story that she says wasn’t told “two-sidedly,” she’s referring to her fight with co-star Kathy Hilton in Aspen. Rinna referred to Hilton as being “great” during her interview but stated her belief that a “smear campaign” was waged against her in the aftermath of the flare-up. In addition, the actress said this about the state of the RH franchise: 

Overall, her comments suggest that starring on Beverly Hills was no longer good for her due to a plethora of reasons. There are still fans, however, who’d prefer that she’d have stayed on the show. That includes Andy Cohen – the mega producer behind the highly successful small-screen IP.

What Andy Cohen Said About Lisa Rinna’s Real Housewives Exit

Andy Cohen has seen plenty of major personalities throughout his time shepherding the RH family. However, it’s clear that he recognizes Lisa Rinna as one of the franchise’s most popular figures. After Seacrest claimed this week that Cohen declined to say hello to him during their competing broadcasts on NYE 2022, Cohen has shared his side of the story. 

While Ryan Seacrest was on his morning show Live! with Kelly and Ryan on Tuesday, the host claimed that Andy Cohen, who was standing just 10 feet away from him as they each put on their own New Year’s Eve shows, “did not turn around” to greet him amidst the celebration. Here’s how Andy Cohen addressed it on his Radio Andy show: 

Andy Cohen claimed that he never saw Ryan Seacrest and somewhat blamed his co-host Anderson Cooper for not letting him know when he was waving to Ryan Seacrest so he could turn around and do the same. Per Seacrest’s comments while conversing with Kelly Ripa on their shared morning show on Tuesday, Cooper mouthed “have a good show” to Seacrest while he didn’t have an interaction with Cohen during NYE. 

Seacrest also shared that his stage was right in front of Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen and during commercial breaks, he was trying to get their attention. Apparently the programs usually go on commercial break at the same time, but this year they did not, allowing viewers to switch between the two programs that were available to stream during New Year's Eve 2022. 

During Cohen’s radio show on Wednesday morning, he then decided to call Anderson Cooper about the whole thing, who didn’t sound too pleased about getting him “involved” in “a thing with Seacrest.” When Cohen asked Cooper why he didn’t get his attention while Seacrest was behind him, the CNN broadcast journalist said this: 

According to all accounts, it sounds like there was a simple miscommunication between Andy Cohen and Ryan Seacrest, Cohen apparently not seeing the longtime New Year’s Eve host and Seacrest thinking Cohen intentionally did not greet him. Cohen also joked that he was more focused on getting Duran Duran’s attention than Seacrest during the whole thing.

The talk show, which has been airing since 2009, is definitely a different format for a late night talk show, as it doesn’t have the usual desk and chairs, but rather, a bar. Cohen recently opened up about that particular set piece being ripped off by James Corden, another fellow late night talk show host.

Ahead of his annual NYE shindig, which was rather a sober one compared past years, Andy Cohen was a guest on the iHeart podcast, Table for Two. The Real Housewives EP spoke to host and friend Bruce Bozzi about being a talk show host and how he switched up the narrative for the format of late-night TV. Cohen made the argument that WWHL was the first on a very specific piece and feels like James Corden ripped him off:

Both WWHL and The Late Late Show have done some things that aren’t necessarily traditional on late night talk shows, bringing a whole new meaning to the genre. Luckily, it doesn’t sound like there are any hard feelings for Andy Cohen. He was just pointing out what had happened, and this demonstrates the impact his show has made.

Since Watch What Happens Live has been on for so long, other shows were bound to take an idea or two from it. Andy Cohen is letting bygones be bygones, and for all he cares, he’s just happy that the show is still kicking:

Now that it is 2023, maybe Andy Cohen can do some different things for WWHL to spruce it up a little, make it fresh and see if anyone rips that idea off. One of those is the frequently wild and wildly unpredictable New Year's Eve Live on CNN, but the Real Housewives mastermind recently felt the need to reply to a snarky Twitter user who is not at all happy about the show:

Well, alright, Andy! That’s certainly one way to respond when someone calls you an “idiot,” you and your co-host both “clowns,” and declares that the network that has let you lead New Year’s fun since 2017 (Cooper’s been there since 2002) “could do much better” than both of you. 

Truth be told, while viewers can watch a number of celebrations on television at the end of every year, the Cohen/Cooper fest has been known for many years to be the most likely to go somewhat off the rails and lead to many viral moments. The Watch What Happens Live host has railed against Times Square umbrella policy on air, ranted about outgoing New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and openly admitted to “getting smashed on CNN” as he and the other anchors who are a part of the event make no bones about drinking on live TV and letting frequently inappropriate comments fly.

Obviously, a lot of fans adore watching often serious news anchors let loose on one of the major party-and-booze-centric nights of the year, but with a bit of a leadership change at the channel, Variety reports that some of the imbibing which has led to such surprising and funny NYE viral moments might now come to an end. Let’s all hope that, if that does come to pass, we’ll still get at least some of the random weirdness that this special is known for.

Sally Field has been in the entertainment business for the past six decades. These years of her best movies means plenty of experience with juicy on-screen kisses. Were they all the best though? The Academy Award-winning actress dished about which of her on-screen kisses was her least favorite due to the excessive amount of drool.

On-screen kisses may look pleasing in the eyes of an audience, but can actually be pretty cringe if you’re the actor moving those lips against another with a camera documenting your every move. While on Watch What Happens Live! with Andy Cohen, Sally Field allowed us in on a little secret that her kiss with James Garner in Murphy’s Romance was her favorite. The question is, who was her least favorite? Read her answer below:

Hold the phone! As in, Burt Reynolds who she starred in four films with and dated on and off in real life? Yep, same actor. She met Reynolds in 1977 on the set of their movie Smokey and the Bandit and dated for nearly five years. Field wrote in her memoir In Pieces that she was initially attracted to the Gunsmoke actor’s swagger and charisma. Other than two Smokey and the Bandit movies, she and Reynolds were in the films The End and Hooper before they ultimately split in 1982.

You would think after five years of kissing, Sally Field would have found it enjoyable. But then again, the way you would kiss someone on-screen is totally different than how you would in real life apparently.

Sally Field’s memoir In Pieces was released days after Burt Reynolds’ death in 2018. As her memoir shattered the Hollywood fairytale romance everyone thought she experienced with Reynolds, Field pointed out that what she wrote would hurt her former flame if he was alive to read it. She described the actor as controlling and distant due to the weight of his stardom. The Amazing Spider-Man actress also said that she tried to help Reynolds with a drug problem he was going through on the set of Smokey and the Bandit, but he refused her help. While everything wasn’t sunshine and roses between the two of them, this accomplished actress made sure to point out there was still love and care.

The Gidget actress continued to explain what it was about kissing her former beau that made it so unpleasant. Keep in mind that once you discover what the reason is, you’ll be watching on-screen kisses between her and Reynolds much differently from now on.

Imagine how embarrassing it would be to have to wipe off every kiss as a result of that drool factor. From the perspective of Burt Reynolds on his relationship with Sally Field at the time he was alive, he described the Mrs. Doubtfire actress as the one who got away. He admitted that he didn’t know what he had at the time and that he missed her terribly. I guess we eventually all have someone like that, huh? 

The latest film of Sally Field is Spoiler Alert about the emotional true story of Michael Ausiello’s 11-month period of watching his partner of 14 years struggling with terminal cancer. The legendary actress felt like the role was very challenging for her in that she had to push aside her own feelings as an LGBTQ+ ally and play the part of a mother confused about her son’s sexuality. Field is the proud mother of her son Sam who came out as gay when he was a teenager. Other than speaking about her son on talk shows, she showed further support for him by raising awareness of the Equality Act that would add LGBTQ+ protections to existing civil rights laws and strengthen civil rights protections for other marginalized groups. She really does have the Norma Rae spirit.

Oddly enough, Sally Field kissing Burt Reynolds on-screen was not her favorite activity. But, you can’t say those kisses weren’t at least memorable for her. You can watch her performance in the newly released movie Spoiler Alert in theaters now.

Daniel Radcliffe was one of a slew of child actors who got their big break as a character in the Harry Potter universe. Of all the kids, Radcliffe has had a particularly enduring and unusual career in the years that followed the franchise’s end, making headlines for nudity onstage in Equus and taking oddball roles that had him doing his best Weird Al Yankovic impression (sans singing) or expelling gas as a corpse in Swiss Army Man. While Radcliffe’s openly spoken about his shift into “weird” roles, he’s still open to talking about his  magical time on Harry Potter, noting that while he’s moved on from the franchise it’s still a part of his story.

Speaking to Andy Cohen about his wide-ranging acting career, the Watch What Happens Live! host complimented the actor on the way he approaches the Harry Potter fanbase and the work he did during his formative years. Cohen called the actor’s relationship with the franchise “refreshing,” also stating her really enjoys Radcliffe’s “reverence for it,” to which the actor responded: 

Andy Cohen also mentions celebrities who have had issues with discussing staple roles in the past, and while he doesn’t mention anyone by name, there are certainly celebrities out there who have been reticent to cater to the fanbase or even remotely get into it when it comes to discussing popular roles. (*cough* Harrison Ford talking about Star Wars *cough*)

Radcliffe has been on the press circuit for Weird: The Al Yankovic story recently, and Potter’s come up more than once. For example, in another  wide-ranging interview where Daniel Radcliffe spoke fondly of his myriad roles, one of the biggest things he touched on was filming the eight Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011. Radcliffe  admitted the work was “so intense” and “so crazy” but that he really only properly worked through how wild it all was after the experience was all over. He noted of the process of looking back: 

When asked to expand on some of the moments that stood out more than a decade after Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows - Part II filmed, Daniel Radcliffe had some very specific memories. He talked about filming the dragon sequence for the Triwizard Tournament in the fourth movie. He also did some wire work in the sixth film that seemed difficult and dangerous when he described it. He was totally happy to share these stories. 

He’s not the only former Potter actor who plays ball. Tom Felton recently wrote a book about his Harry Potter experiences. In another interview, Felton also recently told MTV’s Josh Horowitz that he didn’t think anyone would mind if he said that he and the other child leads were absolutely not good at acting when they got started. From what Radcliff is saying, though, he learned a lot on the fly while making the Harry Potter movies and that period helped lead him to where he is today. 

It sounds like a healthy perspective on transitioning from a child actor to an adult career all things considered, though I’m sure plenty of Potterheads would still love to see the actor return to this role one day. Even if Radcliffe's out, at least the aforementioned Tom Felton has said he'd be game to return for more Potter in the right context.  

Few shows have had the staying power that Friends has had since the early ‘90s when it originally aired, all the way up to today. With such a successful syndication Andy Cohen and I both assume that the stars are still getting “bountiful” checks for their work on the show. Cohen recently asked Matthew Perry about this subject, and he gave the talk show host a funny, and very Chandler response. 

Matthew Perry has been promoting his new memoir Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which does not “sugarcoat” anything about his time on the hit sitcom. Now, he is kind of opening up about how much he still makes off the program, as he joked with Cohn on his show Radio Andy. The two discussed the continued fame of Friends, which led the host to ask how much money Perry still makes off the hit sitcom today. Asking if he’d characterized the checks he gets as “bountiful” or “trickling.” To which the Chandler actor responded with: 

Cohen then pressed again, asking if they’re “bountiful,” and Perry said: 

Cohen then joked about Perry buying Colorado after he made the quip about Iowa, which caused Perry to have another very Chandler Bing reaction saying he didn't get that state because “The Rock got it.” 

It’s super funny that Perry joked about buying whole states and said The Rock beat him to Colorado. It also makes sense, because over the years all the Friends stars have continued to make a lot of money off the show due to how successful it has been in syndication. It was reported by USA Today in 2015, which was the year Friends went onto Netflix, that the sitcom brought in $ 1 billion per year for Warner Bros. The report also stated that the cast received 2% of that annual income, meaning the six friends all made $20 million per year off their show, even after it had been off the air for over ten years. 

So, if those numbers are still true today, “not bad” might be an understatement for how much money these actors still make off Friends and “bountiful” might be more accurate.

While the paychecks may have been, and likely still are, great from Friends, Perry’s new memoir details his struggles with addiction during the show. Even though he doesn't think his co-stars will read it, he did note that he thinks fans of Friends and people who have struggled with addiction will care about the book. He’s candid about his struggles, and he even opens up about how the show itself and its popularity may have saved his life. Along with these stories, he has gotten into a little bit of hot water with his book because of comments he made about Keanu Reeves, which he has now apologized for. All this is to say people still really care about and love Perry and Friends.

The cast of Friends have all found success post-show, however, I’m sure having a popular program, not only in syndication but still a cultural phenomenon, helps. One of Anne Hathaway’s best movies is The Devil Wears Prada where aspiring writer Andy decides to work as an assistant under Miranda Priestly, one of the toughest fashion magazine editors in the business. However, as the working relationship between Andy and Miranda strengthens, her romantic relationship with her boyfriend, Nate, deteriorates. Years after The Devil Wears Prada came out, there was some backlash against the character of Nate, saying he is the film's “true villain,” and Hathaway has something to say about that.

Entertainment Weekly collected tweets and other social media posts from fans saying Nate was the “true villain” of The Devil Wears Prada. They pointed out that he mocks his girlfriend’s new job at the fashion magazine and was not very understanding about her grueling job tasks. While being interviewed on Watch What Happens Now Live with Andy Cohen, the actress gave her two cents on whether or not Nate holds "true villain" status in the film.

It is true that people change all the time. Maybe Nate wouldn’t have liked who he was with Andy if he was looking back at that time in his life today. Andy certainly didn’t know what turn her life would take while working as Miranda’s assistant. That’s why it was a bold move at the end of the comedy-drama film when Andy didn’t choose Miranda or Nate. She chose herself by starting a new chapter in her life charging forward with her new career at a publishing firm.

It’s possible that the strongly negative opinions about Nate are a bit one-sided. Sure, it comes across that Nate doesn’t appear supportive of Andy, and he whines about her not being there enough for him. However, like The Devil Wears Prada screenwriter once responded on the Nate issue, he was supposed to be the “naggy wife” role while Andy pursued her career. It’s a role we’ve seen plenty of times played by women where the man transitions to a new job or hobby and the female love interest complains. It reminds me a lot of Patrick Dempsey’s character in the school movie Freedom Writers when he couldn’t support his wife’s teaching job and refused to be her “wife.” While characters like this serve as the obstacle aspect of the story, it would be nice to see both sexes in this situation be supportive of their partner's career.

When you rewatch The Devil Wears Prada, you can see that while Nate lacks execution in his points, the message he tries to convey comes from a good place. After all, Andy is just using her job with Miranda as a stepping stone toward her writing career. Being an assistant to a demanding fashion editor was never a dream of hers. He could see her transition to be a woman who in one moment criticized fashionista types to becoming one of them the next moment. It’s hard for him to watch which leads to anger and frustration.

Anne Hathaway forgave the character of Nate for how he was with her character during the course of the movie. Hopefully today, Nate is still making those delicious late-night grilled cheeses and being more supportive of his current girlfriend’s career.

In a major 180, Jen Shah changed her plea from not guilty to guilty in the federal government’s fraud case against her. Just prior to that court hearing on July 11, the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City alum and her legal team had been pushing for a trial to happen sooner rather than later, in the interest of defending her supposed innocence in a timely manner. However, all is changed now because Shah is forgoing the trial and heading straight to sentencing via a plea agreement, which could see her face more than a decade in prison for the charges. Andy Cohen spoke out about the reversal himself, and surely Shah’s RHOSLC co-stars have something to say about it as well, right?

How Andy Cohen Reacted To Jen Shah News

The executive producer and longtime Real Housewives reunion host addressed Jen Shah’s apparent change of heart (or perhaps a change of faith in the justice system) on his radio show recently, via People. He was in conversation with actor Jonah Hill when he revealed that he didn’t exactly “know how to feel” about the guilty plea. Hill suggested that it’s a sign that the 48-year-old mother of two has finally copped to criminal wrongdoings in the telemarketing scheme she was alleged to be involved in, one that impacted mostly elderly victims. But Andy Cohen still seemed to be hedging his bets on the situation, saying,

Was Andy Cohen implying that Jen Shah wasn’t truly guilty, per se, but just possibly hedging her own bets on the unlikelihood of an acquittal had the case gone to an expensive trial? The answer is not entirely clear, but it’s obvious that the Bravo producer and talk show host has a soft spot for the legally embattled TV personality. He shared with Jonah Hill that Shah even had sent a gift for the arrival of his new baby girl, despite everything she was and is still dealing with, which he found to be “so nice of her.”

What Do Other RHOSLC Castmates Think About Guilty Plea?

Interestingly, a few days ahead of the bombshell hearing, two of Shah's Real Housewives of Salt Lake City co-stars were in New York City with her to show support, per Page Six. The trio was rounded out by Heather Gay (who famously has always believed in Shah’s innocence) and Meredith Marks (who famously didn’t believe in Shah’s innocence at all, and was even suspected to have tipped off the feds for her arrest). Neither of the RHOSLC castmates have officially spoken out about the change to a guilty plea, so questions continue to linger if they knew what their friend was planning.

The Taste of Reality Instagram account posted an alleged screenshot of a preemptive statement made on Meredith Marks’ Stories prior to the turn of events. And judging by what made it to IG, albeit temporarily, it would seem she was all for Shah proving her innocence in court, and really didn't foresee the sudden change of plans. See here:

A source for E! News indicated that other RHOSLC cast members have been, generally speaking, just as shocked by the plea as anyone else. Supposedly, some of them are feeling “duped, misled and lied to by their friend,” especially considering how adamant Jen Shah has been about her culpability, or lack thereof, for many months now.

What Jen Shah Has Said About Fraud Charges

Ever since her jaw-dropping arrest played out in 2021 – while the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was in the midst of filming Season 2 no less – the star has continually maintained her innocence. She had been fighting the case pretty hard as a result, to include trying to block the show’s footage from impacting her trial and attempting to have the charges dismissed entirely (twice). Shah held her first non-Bravo tell-all interview this past June, after those efforts failed, where she again advocated for her innocence and had a blunt message for both the naysayers and supporters of her cause.

At the recent court hearing, though, the Bravolebrity admitted to the alleged crimes in a pre-written statement, saying she knew the telemarketing scheme’s offers had “little to no value” and that she was aware at the time that it was “wrong and illegal.” In a statement to E! News following the news, Shah’s lawyer Priya Chaudhry stated:

Jen Shah has still been filming the upcoming third season of her show amidst the legal woes. (Fans can catch up on seasons past with a Peacock Premium subscription.) As reported by People, Bravo allegedly wants to keep the cameras rolling for as long as possible, as it was in the lead up to RHONJ’s Teresa Giudice going to prison for fraud charges in 2015.

Yet, the former businesswoman from Utah is anticipated to have much bigger consequences for her alleged crimes. Jen Shah in fact faces a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison, but she’s speculated to have taken a 14-year plea deal, to be coupled with financial restitution for victims. We’ll find out more when she sees official sentencing on November 28.

Over the last 16 years, fans might’ve thought that they have seen it all when it comes to the Real Housewives franchise – but not quite yet. So far, the Bravo network has come out with 11 different spinoffs for it across nearly every time zone in the United States. Internationally speaking, too, other networks have taken up the mantle with the likes of The Real Housewives of Cheshire, of Melbourne, of Hungary and countless others. And the network is soon introducing its own original international installment for the very first time in the Real Housewives of Dubai. Executive producer Andy Cohen teased the approach that's being taken with the series – and it might surprise some.

Typically, the network has run with a very simple kind of formula for these shows, i.e. big personalities plus drunken girls trips plus scandalous storylines related to financial and legal problems. And it’s been successful so far in generating audiences. Ye, Andy Cohen told TODAY that The Real Housewives of Dubai isn't abandoning the formula entirely but is going in a slightly different direction. Evidently, they will be playing off the culture and stereotypes associated with the region overall. Cohen said:

Andy Cohen is presumably referring to any pre-conceived notions that U.S. viewers might have about the most populated city in the United Arab Emirates. The country is nestled geographically between Saudi Arabia and Oman, with Islam being its state religion. So there might be some who assume the main cast of women who live and work there have to adhere to a dress code or rules of conduct per societal or religious expectations. But that’s not exactly the case.

Bravo released the first look at Real Housewives of Dubai on Tuesday, and it seems nothing at all is truly off-limits. The same raunchy sex talk, outrageous outfit choices and money-flaunting that we find on locales like Beverly Hills is apparently just as much (if not more) on display with Dubai. The cast includes Nina Ali, Chanel Ayan, Dr. Sara Al Madani, Lesa Milan, Caroline Brooks and former Ladies of London star Caroline Stansbury. Stansbury candidly remarked in the clip:

Here’s hoping! The North American shows in the franchise are likewise seeing new directions taking hold as well for the future. Following difficult race conversations emerging during the Real Housewives of New York’s thirteenth season, Bravo decided to completely reboot the cast and shuffle the old alums onto their own all-star spinoff series for a streaming platform. Yet interestingly, the network also decided to cancel Shahs of Sunset, a reality series about L.A.-based Persian Americans, after ten seasons. Only time will tell how things pan out for this new Real Housewives cast.

In some fan circles, NeNe Leakes is believed to have made the Real Housewives of Atlanta what it is today, and vice versa. Her shady remarks and eye-rolling confessionals from the show long ago found their way into memes and pop culture vernacular, and have remained in frequent use over the years. Leakes headlined the first seven seasons as a main castmate, from 2008 to 2015, returning again for Seasons 10-12. There was speculation that she might’ve been fired after that last season, but she only stated at the time that her exit was the result of pay negotiations falling through. The 54-year-old just put the focus back on her stints, however, as she has filed a lawsuit over the show that brought her notoriety.

According to the Associated Press, per Deadline, NeNe Leakes' lawsuit was filed in federal court on Wednesday, April 20. Several are named as defendants on the suit, including NBCUniversal, Bravo, the True Entertainment company, the Truly Original company and executive producers such as Andy Cohen. In the complaint, NeNe Leakes accuses them of allowing racist activity to continue during the scope of filming. Specifically, the legal documents stated in part:

The lawsuit lays out a few specific incidents, all of which entail NeNe Leake’s former castmate Kim Zolciak-Biermann. Leakes alleged Zolciak-Biermann made “racially offensive” commentary in Season 1 and Season 5, by using references to eating chicken and referring to Kandi Burruss’ neighborhood at the time as being “ghetto.” She also claimed that the Don’t Be Tardy star used the most heinous racial slur on the Real Housewives of Atlanta while insinuating that Leakes had a drug problem, and further criticized the cleanliness of Leakes’ home (deeming it a “roach fest”). Leakes’ lawyer David deRubertis added in a statement:

This suit isn’t the first time that the reality star has accused Andy Cohen et al of racism, either. Following her sudden exit from the franchise in 2020, NeNe Leakes claimed that Bravo had only used her for ratings, and specifically called Cohen a “master manipulator” and a “racist.” Shortly thereafter, Leakes threatened that she would take legal action soon. And while it wasn't immediate, she has clearly done so now, with the new lawsuit also alleging that her previous complaints about in-house racism were the real reason she was ousted from the Real Housewives of Atlanta to begin with.

NeNe Leakes isn’t the only one levelling these accusations at Bravo and its other entities. Just recently, a Below Deck star called for the show to be cancelled after Season 9, due to how the network allegedly mishandled another castmate’s use of racial slurs. The Real Housewives of New York has seen some controversy of late, too, in the wake of certain racial conversations between co-stars not going over well with viewers in Season 13.

Bravo/Andy Cohen announced that some structural changes were happening for the Real Housewives of New York’s next season, in order to make it more diverse and inclusive. Nevertheless, NeNe Leakes is seemingly more concerned with how they apparently treated her in the past over on the Atlanta spinoff, and she’s willing to take it all the way to court.
