For anyone who watched the first season of The Flip Off on HGTV, it may not seem like Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack have the best relationship. The former spouses drive each other crazy, forcing Tarek’s wife Heather Rae to play mediator. The reality is, though, that they’ve come a long way since the darker days of Flip or Flop, and Haack opened up about how they’re able to pull off what seems like a really healthy co-parenting relationship.

The Flip Off was full of drama when it aired on the 2025 TV schedule, thanks to Christina Haack and her third husband Josh Hall calling it quits in the middle of production. This resulted in an unexpectedly emotional conversation between her and Tarek El Moussa, and we also saw her mend fences with Ant Anstead, her second ex-husband. The HGTV star got real about their unconventional friendships, telling People:

It certainly hasn’t come easy. Tensions were often high on Flip or Flop after the couple divorced, which once led to an on-set tirade in which Tarek El Moussa screamed in his ex-wife’s face. And Christina Haack and Heather Rae El Moussa may get along great now, but that wasn’t always the case.

A big part of their current healthy situation was being able to get past those painful tougher times, Haack said:

Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack share two children together, while Christina has a son with Ant Anstead, and Tarek and Heather Rae also have a son. The Flipping El Moussas stars have credited “really hard” work and putting the kids first as the keys to co-parenting with his ex. Tarek has said he can’t let his ego, emotions or insecurities get in the way of what’s important for his children — especially in how he treats their mother.

As for Ant Anstead, he and Christina Haack were involved in an ugly custody battle after they split, but following her breakup with Josh Hall, Anstead expressed a desire to patch things up for the sake of their son, which we saw when he served as a guest judge on The Flip Off. Haack is grateful they were able to work things out, saying:

It’s great to see these former couples setting examples of what good co-parenting can look like, even if things start out in what seems like an impossibly contentious place. And luckily for us, we’ll get to see more of it when The Flip Off Season 2 coming next year.

Anybody who’s watched HGTV even semi-regularly is familiar with Christina from shows like Flip or Flop, Christina on the Coast and even her new offering on the 2025 TV schedule, The Flip Off. However, it’s been somewhat confusing over the years trying to keep track of her last name. The house-flipper who has used her maiden name Haack as well as her husbands’ surnames — El Moussa, Anstead and Hall — has finally brought some clarity to this ever-changing name game.

Christina is currently starring on The Flip Off (available to stream with a Max subscription) with her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae. Josh Hall was supposed to team up with his wife Christina in competition against the El Moussas, but as is shown in the premiere episode, the relationship ended and the Halls filed for divorce. This prompted Tarek to hilariously question how his ex-wife would now like to be identified during a recent interview with ET. The exchange went something like this:

• Tarek: Do you go by El Moussa, Hall, Haack or Anstead?
• Christina: Haack.
• Tarek: OK, so you’re back to the original.
• Christina: I haven’t been a Haack since ‘08! It’s back to stay.
• Tarek: OK, we’ll see.

Some things will never change, and the bickering banter between Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa is as dependable as anything. In response to El Moussa’s reluctance to believe the change back to her maiden name was permanent, Haack protested:

I mean, she’s got a point. If a government office is involved, she definitely means business.

It sounds like this might be the first time Christina Haack legally changed her name since her first marriage. Haack revealed on The Flip Off that Josh Hall was not thrilled that she still went by her first ex-husband’s name when they met, before she quietly changed her last name to Hall on social media. She said:

We witnessed a bit of that ahead of the new show — which has since decided to proceed without Josh Hall — when Christina’s husband told her not to get confused about what her last name was, reminding her, “You’re a Hall now,” before saying that she was “pissing [him] off.”

In addition to her maiden name, Tarek’s name and Josh’s when she was married to them, Christina also took Ant Anstead’s last name for the two years they were married.

She may be partnerless in the competition, but fans were not sad to see Josh Hall go, and it’s actually been really nice to see the love the El Moussas have for Christina.

HGTV house flipper Christina Hall is in the midst of a pretty ugly split from Josh Hall that has included accusations about Josh’s money moves and even real-life car thieves. However, the Christina on the Coast star’s third divorce isn’t necessarily indicative of the relationship she has with her exes. As she prepares for the debut of her new show The Flip Off on the 2025 TV schedule with her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, Christina is also showing support for her second ex, Ant Anstead, after he announced a new upcoming series.

Nobody can say Christina Hall doesn’t know how to stay friends with her exes. As Ant Anstead revealed his new show Born Mechanic will soon be available on the 2024 TV schedule to stream with a Max subscription, his ex-wife was quick to celebrate the big news, posting a preview to Instagram with the caption:

It was pretty sweet of Christina Hall to offer her congratulations to Ant Anstead on Born Mechanic. Anstead may be known for his love of cars, but he’s taking a page out of his ex’s book for the new series, which will see him renovating a 500-year-old farmhouse for his parents.

The support between Ant Anstead and Christina Hall seems to go both ways, too. Before she plugged his newest TV gig, it was confirmed that he will be making an appearance on her upcoming HGTV series The Flip Off. Christina was originally supposed to team up with Josh Hall on the show and compete against Tarek El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae El Moussa to see who could find, purchase, renovate and sell a house for the bigger financial gain.

After Christina and Josh Hall each filed for divorce in July, HGTV made the decision to continue production of The Flip Off without Josh’s involvement. It’s unknown if Christina will be working alone now or finding a new partner, but many fans hope to see her frequent collaborator James Bender helping her out. Either way, Ant Anstead is not replacing Josh Hall, though the extent of his role on The Flip Off has yet to be confirmed.

Just because Christina Hall is able to get along with her first two ex-husbands now doesn’t mean they didn’t have ugly aspects to their breakups. She split from Tarek El Moussa after seven years of marriage following a May 2016 altercation that involved police and a gun. Somehow the duo continued to work on Flip or Flop together until 2022, despite some hurdles like the occasional on-set tirade.

As for Ant Anstead, to whom the Christina in the Country star was married for two years, there was a pretty intense custody battle over their son Hudson. Anstead filed for sole custody of Hudson in 2022 (his request was denied), after he called Christina an unsafe parent and took issue with her using their son in paid content for social media.

It would appear they’ve got a better handle on co-parenting these days, as they show each other support on their newest projects. One has to wonder if that means Christina and Josh Hall will someday patch things up to become friends like she since has with Ant Anstead and Tarek El Moussa, but at this point that seems like a stretch.

Just as fans of home renovation expert Christina Hall were getting excited for her upcoming HGTV reality competition series, The Flip Off, with her first ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his Christina look-alike wife Heather, they were hit with the news that she was divorcing her third husband, Josh Hall. The following weeks saw a rumor begin that Renée Zellweger has become nervous about Christina since the divorce, but an insider recently spoke with People about the report and called it “totally laughable.”

As those who’ve followed Christina’s many personal ups and downs over the past several years will likely remember, she and Anstead split after a little less than two years of marriage in September 2020. They had just celebrated the birthday of their son, Hudson, a couple of weeks prior, as he’d turned one early that month. By July of 2021, Anstead had already had a meet cute with Zellweger on his show, Celebrity IOU: Joyride, and quietly began dating the star, while Christina had moved on with Josh.

But, their split took a turn in April 2022 when Anstead filed for sole custody of their son, leading to a public war of words and accusations about wrongdoing when it came to how Hudson was being raised.

In the days since news about the Halls' split, however, Christina appears to have made some moves to mend fences with Anstead. Not only did she re-follow him on Instagram and like a photo of their son, she also responded positively to a fan who suggested that Anstead be chosen to replace Josh in The Flip Off, which is currently filming without him even though he was originally scheduled to be a part of it.

When Life & Style spoke to a source who’s supposedly close to the situation in early August, they noted that the Judy star was “wary” of the interior designer in light of the divorce, and said “it’s hard not to be threatened” because of the contact they have to maintain as they co-parent their son and how “devastated” Anstead was when his marriage to the Christina on the Coast host fell apart.

Hopefully, Zellweger and Anstead are still going strong and there’s no reason for her to be worried about his former wife. The duo have kept their romance mostly private for three years now and have appeared happy when they do step out in public or acknowledge each other on social media. One would imagine that they’re already pretty well versed in ignoring rumors about their personal lives, so let’s pray that speculation about a possible rift doesn’t impact the couple at all.

It’s been over two years since Ant Anstead wooed Renée Zellweger on the set of Celebrity IOU Joyride, but you’d barely know it with how quiet they keep their relationship. Ant Anstead shares 3-year-old son Hudson with his ex-wife Christina Hall, and also has a 19-year-old daughter Amelie and 16-year-old son Archie from his marriage to Louise Anstead. While his three kids are featured prominently on the Celebrity IOU Joyride star’s Instagram page, he’s tried to keep his relationship with Renée Zellweger low-key since the beginning. 

Even after their “secret relationship” was exposed a few months after they started dating, he kept it low-key, with just the rare peek at a date night out together. Even this past Christmas — nearly two years into their romance — Ant Anstead didn’t make a big deal of the fact that Renée Zellweger had traveled with him and the kids to the U.K., with eagle-eyed fans pointing out the actress in her signature orange ball cap in the background of some of his photos.

The two have apparently been talking about their long-term future together at least since the fall, and it’s possible the couple either has moved in together or plans to, after Ant Anstead sold his bachelor pad in April. Regardless of if big moves are being made, though, it sounds like this is a good situation for the actress — as her friends allegedly said — and that’s what really matters. 

2022 was a big year for Christina Hall and not necessarily in a good way. The HGTV veteran spent a large part of the year engaged in a contentious custody battle with ex-husband Ant Anstead. The former spouses, who married in 2018 and finalized their divorce in 2021, went back and forth with legal moves and the occasional social media post. They ultimately settled the dispute in December, at which time Hall finally shared a photo of their son, Hudson. While those rough times are now behind her, Hall isn’t blocking it all out now. She recently opened up about her experiences in a rare and candid post.

The Christina on the Coast star looked back on the past year using an Instagram update shared on Mother’s Day. The post included a sweet photo of the 39-year-old alongside Hudson and other son and daughter Brayden and Taylor, who she shares with ex Tarek El-Moussa. The sweet snapshot was accompanied by a lengthy caption, which began with her noting that it’s “crazy how much life can change in a year.” From there, the media personality detailed some of the tribulations she was experiencing at the time:

That housing situation would eventually lead to a moment that touched her immensely, though. Christina Hall further explained that while moving in, she noticed that the property owners left a care package for her family that was filled with her favorite champagne, gifts for her children and more. She was so moved by the gesture that she apparently rushed to another room to cry. Though she probably assumed she’d be alone there, Hall actually ended up having a much-needed encounter with someone: 

Few things are more comforting than that feeling you get when you know that someone understands what you’re going through. The Flip or Flop alum now says that moment was a gift from God and went on to encourage her followers to be optimistic about the possibility of change.

In the past, Christina Hall has been open about co-parenting with her exes even doing so amidst the legal battle with Ant Anstead. It was in April 2022 that Anstead filed for full custody of Hudson and accused Hall of being an unsafe parent. That bid was ultimately denied, but Anstead was still in the position to file for temporary full custody. He later voiced more “fears” about his ex-wife caring for their son, which prompted Hall to call him out for allegedly spreading “false information.” During this time, Josh Hall, Christina’s current husband, defended her.

As of December 2022, Christina Hall and Ant Anstead have joint legal and physical custody of Hudson. It’s unfortunate that all parties involved had to go through such a long and tense process. But at the very least, Hall seems to have come out of it a more upbeat person and appears to appreciate those hard times now.

It was just a few months after they started seeing each other, in November 2021, that we heard that the former Christina on the Coast star was renovating his Laguna Beach, California home, with the Chicago actress renting a house across the street and both staying in her new pad as he worked on his own house. However, the TV star recently sold that oceanfront property in Orange County, and a source to the Daily Mail has told the outlet that they’ve apparently “found a house that they both love” and have plans to move in together.

The host spoke to People in early April of this year about selling his home (which he dubbed the “Temple House”) after having originally put the house up for sale in October 2022, then taking it off of the market in February. He noted that a buyer contacted him about the property once it was no longer for sale, and he accepted the offer, adding:

About a month earlier, a source to the same outlet said that the duo was already living with one another in his home prior to the sale, so it’s possible that him referring to a pleasing change in his personal life was them deciding to buy a home together and then making the purchase.

Even though the Judy lead and Anstead have kept their relationship relatively quiet for nearly two full years now, fans are still treated to occasional peeks at their romance. There was the initial episode of his Discovery+ series that brought them together and showed the beginnings of their attraction, along with a few comments from him about their “secret” relationship after it first started, and a look at one of their date nights, but the duo mostly avoid publicizing their time together. 

If they have bought their first house as a couple, we might not hear an official word about it from them, but at least it’s good that everything seems to be going great for the twosome.

Congratulations are in order for Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa, as the couple welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, on January 31. In the months since their shocking pregnancy announcement, the couple continued to share moments from their journey, including Heather discussing the kind of mother she wants to be and why she was forced to skip the family vacation in Cabo. The El Moussas are on to the next phase now, and the new addition was welcomed into the world with plenty of kind words from the real estate agent’s Selling Sunset co-stars, and even from Christina Hall’s ex-husband Ant Anstead.

Heather and Tarek El Moussa announced the arrival of the baby — who’s name has not yet been revealed — on Instagram, with a message to their followers that they are “so happy,” and that mom and baby are both healthy and, to be expected, tired. The update came alongside a photo of the parents’ hands resting on top of the itty bitty ball of cuteness, which you can see below: 

The Selling Sunset agent and her Flip or Flop husband had been open about wanting to expand their family ever since they tied the knot in a televised wedding ceremony in October 2021, and the news that Heather Rae El Moussa was expecting came less than a year later. Among those welcoming Baby El Moussa to the world was Jason Oppenheim, the president and founder of The Oppenheim Group that’s featured on the Netflix reality show. He commented:

Heather Rae El Moussa’s baby boy is the third child for her husband Tarek, who shares 12-year-old Taylor and 7-year-old Brayden with Christina Hall. The new mom has spoken candidly about the work they all put into co-parenting, and about her relationship with her husband’s ex, saying that what matters most is that the No. 1 priority remains the children.

Now, she’s opening up about the relationship between Hudson, her child with ex Ant Anstead, and her current partner Josh Hall, who is apparently from a very large family unit. She also opened up about the possibility of more kids in her future. 

The Christina on the Coast star recently spoke with people about little Hudson and Josh Hall, seeming to nod to finally settling the custody battle with Ant Anstead that also dominated headlines last year. She called the family unit “settled” now after all that brouhaha and stated she felt confident that after his early life upheaval Josh will be the stepdad he knows. 

In her interview with People, she also spoke about how Hudson loves "being involved" with a lot of the outdoor projects Josh Hall gets up to. As a whole, she calls their marriage a "true partnership" and while that's not a direct shot at her exes, it could be read as a subtle dig. 

The move comes after Christina has mostly been quiet about little Hudson in recent months. While her ex Ant Anstead continued to post about their kid, he wrote in legal docs that she had "exploited" their three-year-old son on social media. Hall willingly chose to stop posting about Hudson for a time and clarified why she made that choice on social media. Around the holidays, her custody battle with Anstead reached a conclusion and she's been more open about Hudson in the time since.

Meanwhile, while Christina Hall got candid that her husband is the oldest of 11 -- and who also comes from a blended family -- she's not looking to expand her family quite that far. In fact, she sounds quite settled with Josh, the aforementioned Hudson, and the two kids she shares with her other ex Tarek El Moussa, Taylor and Braden. 

The 39-year-old star is clearly at a busy point in her career anyway and has her hands full with three kids under the age of 18. We'll have to wait and see what's next for the HGTV star, but her latest series Christina in the Country did just hit the TV schedule this weekend. New episodes air on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. 

There’s been plenty of drama over the past few months between Ant Anstead and his ex-wife Christina Hall regarding their young son Hudson being featured on social media. However, the multiple photos and videos on the proud dad’s Instagram page that showed off the adorable 3-year-old weren’t the reason fans were flocking to see the posts from his family’s holiday trip to the U.K. Instead, the followers were excited about another figure who appeared briefly in the pics, as eagle-eyed fans spotted Anstead’s partner Renée Zellweger, seemingly proving the low-key lovebirds spent the holidays together.

While the two-time Oscar winner and Ant Anstead have apparently been an item since June 2021 — when they met on the set of Celebrity IOU Joyride, which he co-hosts — the couple maintain a pretty low profile. They kept their relationship a secret for months, before paparazzi photos exposed them, which makes it all the sweeter when one of them does provide a peek inside their private lives. Anstead did just that with a recent Instagram post of Hudson learning to play cricket, although, many fans were preoccupied with the woman in the background: 

Apparently, it was the orange baseball cap that gave it away, as the accessory is said to be a favorite of the University of Texas alum. Renée Zellweger appears to be trolling us by hiding in plain sight, thus proving that she made the trip across the pond to spend holiday time with her beau and his three children.

She appeared to pop up again in a video Ant Anstead posted of a family hike with Hudson and his two older kids, Amelie and Archie, who he shares with ex-wife Louise Storey. As he panned his phone around to show off the view, a fourth person appeared standing near his children — wearing that same orange ball cap. Check out the image: 

Hopefully, this family trip together is a sign that Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead are still going strong. Back in October sources reported that the couple was taking their time to plan a long-term future together, continuing to live in separate houses. Despite both parties being extremely private about their plans, their friends reportedly said they wouldn’t be surprised to see the couple taking the next step with an engagement. 

This apparent confirmation of a holiday trip abroad was welcome news for fans of the couple, who so rarely give their followers a look at nights out together. Renée Zellweger has always maintained a very private home life, and it’s understandable that Ant Anstead might play things closer to the vest after the custody battle he’s been engaged in with Christina Hall. 

The Celebrity IOU Joyride host said in court documents in October that he feared “public ridicule” for Hudson, saying Christina Hall had “already exploited” him for “numerous paid promotions.” The two went back and forth with accusations, before ultimately settling their custody issues in December, and they each apparently felt more comfortable featuring their son on social media. Perhaps with that issue (hopefully) behind them, Ant Anstead will continue to feel comfortable sneaking his partner into more of his family’s social media posts. I know I’ll be keeping an eye out for that orange cap! 

Celebrity custody battles are often played out in the public eye and can sometimes get a little tense. Such is what happened when Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast star Christina Hall was going through the court system to figure out custody of her son Hudson, 3, with her ex Ant Anstead. A few months ago, the couple were going back and forth about when it was appropriate for Hudson to show up on social. However, now the custody issues have settled and surprise, now they’re both posting photos with the little tyke. 

If you haven’t been kept up-to-date on this saga, the two famous faces were going through the court system to figure out custody of their kid. One of the things Ant brought up was the fact he felt Christina was using Hudson for paid promotion, as she sometimes pushes items on her social posts. At the time, Hall had clapped back, noting that she was “exhausted” over the “false accusations” Ant had made in court documents. 

Still, she said at the time she had “ made the decision to no longer feature Hudson on Instagram.” Notably prior to her split with Ant Anstead, both he and their kid had appeared on Christina on the Coast. Well, now, the custody battle is over and Hall seems a little more comfortable with the prospect of sharing Hudson like she posts content from her other kids (whom she shares with other ex Tarek El Moussa).

Hall shared a photo to her Instagram yesterday and this time, instead of keeping Hudson off-camera, she did show his back. The tyke was apparently excited about taking a photo of his mom and her new husband Josh Hall, with the HGTV star noting, ‘Kid loves being behind the camera.” She also shared the above image which was the photo Hudson actually took to her Instagram Stories, though it's worth noting she does not seemingly want the original Instagram image to be embedded.

It seems Christina Hall is warming up to the idea of being able to share photos of Hudson again. She and Ant Anstead wrapped the custody battle up just a few weeks ago, with both TV names ultimately maintaining the joint legal and joint physical custody they had previously agreed on during their divorce. There were some changes to the holiday schedule at the time, and from additional posts from her ex this week, it seems he may be the one who currently has little Hudson at home. 

Ant Anstead Continued Sharing Photos Of Hudson, Including A New One

Just a few hours after Christina Hall shared her post, Ant also posted about their kid. His Instagram post showed Hudson (and Hudson’s face) as the little tyke helped decorate a tree. A second video on Instagram Stories had Ant talking about the Harry & Meghan documentary before he is interrupted by the arrival of a pizza delivery guy and hollers at little “Hudsy” to let him know the “pizza’s here.” 

Interestingly, despite Christina Hall choosing to not share stuff from Hudson over the past few months – and making some choice comments about not showing Hudson in photos – Ant Anstead has occasionally posted photos of their kid and has even included the little tyke's face. (Some celebrity parents do opt to show their children's faces while others, like Katherine Schwarzenegger and Chris Pratt, avoid children's faces in posts.) 

At the end of the day, the custody battle may be over, but it still seems the two co-parents are still making different choices this holiday season.

The Christina on the Coast star has shown fans photos of her second ceremony, which was held for a group of friends and family in September, but the Season 4 premiere of her solo series, titled “A New Outlook,” saw her talking about their original wedding for the first time. While catching up with her project manager and buddy, James, she held up the finger sporting her new ring and revealed that she got married, noting that they “did it low key,” exclaiming, “No more surprises! The host of the upcoming series, Christina in the Country, had been fighting with Anstead since he filed for full custody of Hudson in late April (a bid which was denied), accusing her of being an unsafe parent, and later going public with his fears that Hall had “already exploited” their now 3-year-old son for “numerous paid-promotions.” That led to her deciding to stop posting any photos at all of the child on her social media, and to saying that he wouldn’t be seen in any of her shows after Anstead’s “manipulation tactics and false information.”

While her ex-husband was glad that she made that choice, their actual custody arrangements were still up in the air. But, Entertainment Tonight recently obtained court papers that confirm they settled that matter in November. The two will continue to share physical and legal custody, with them also coming to an agreement on where to send him for preschool.

Right now, the parents will switch off having their son on major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, July 4, and Halloween) based on whether we’re in an even or odd-numbered year. They also agreed to each having a seven day vacation time with their son during his three week winter break, with Hall’s plans getting priority in even-numbered years and Anstead getting the same benefit in odd-numbered years, should conflict arise over said plans.

Hopefully, the agreements they’ve come to will continue to help keep the peace so that all involved can simply enjoy as much family time as possible.

When the home design expert announced her decision to stop featuring her youngest child in any of her social media posts, even if they were purely family pictures with no promotional aspect attached, she had noted that she came to that choice on her own because of the “great impact” that Anstead’s words had made on her and her “household.” But, it seems clear that she feels that message wasn’t clear enough to the many fans who have flooded her page with comments on the matter. She continued:

Hall previously called her ex-husband’s accusations “manipulation tactics and false information,” saying that he was trying to “turn my family, friends and fans against me,” and it seems pretty clear that she would like all of his supporters to simply stay away from her page if they dislike the way she’s handled things. While Anstead has also had to deal with his share of criticism on his social media during this public battle with his ex-wife, hopefully both sides will now be able to enjoy whatever time they get to spend with their son without dealing with so much negativity.

That bid was denied, but they’ve now spent several months publicly bashing each other and debating their parenting styles as they tried to work out what was best for Hudson. 

This back and forth has led to Hall feeling forced to no longer show any images of her son on social media at all, and a recent Instagram post featured comments about his absence in a photo of her kids:

As you can see, the picture shows the smiling, happy faces of Hall’s two older children with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, Taylor and Brayden, as they bookend another child in what the mother of three notes is the family’s favorite ice cream spot, which is likely near their farm in Tennessee. But, she also seemed to know that her followers would be likely to comment on the fact that Hudson isn’t in the picture, so she added a note saying that “Hudson is here too but can’t be ‘here’” for those who may have wondered if the boy was present but simply unable to be represented in the photograph. 

Early October saw Anstead file additional court documents that alleged Hall’s use of their son in paid posts and in her television shows had led him to have additional “fears” for the young boy. Chief among those was the idea that she had “already exploited” him by using his image in paid posts. That filing led the Christina On the Coast host to speak openly to fans about what she felt were his “manipulation tactics” and dissemination of “false information,” which eventually caused her to stop showing Hudson in any publicly posted pictures at all, even family shots like the one you see above.

The followers for each side have their opinions on their fight over how and when each should be allowed to show photos of their child (with Anstead having to respond to his critics in mid-October), but what’s most important is that Hudson can continue to enjoy time with his whole extended family, so it’s good that he can still do that, whether we get to witness it or not.

The court battle and public war of words between Ant Anstead and his ex-wife, Christina Hall, that began in late April when he attempted to get full legal custody of their young son has been heating up over the past several weeks. Though the HGTV star seems to have worked through co-parenting issues with Tarek El Moussa (her first ex-husband) and his new wife, the same cannot be said when it comes to her master mechanic ex. He took a few weeks off of posting pictures of the boy, but returned to Instagram recently with shots of them enjoying some time with Anstead’s dad. The photos garnered a number of negative comments, however, and he responded to several of them. 

When one person said “you deserve all the shade you get” and wondered how his parents’ public fight would affect Hudson once he’s old enough to read about it online, his dad replied:

This appears to be in direct reference to a post shared by Hall (whose new husband spoke up for her) not long ago. After he made it clear that he didn’t like his son’s mother putting their child in paid social media posts or in her shows, she told followers in early October that she’d “no longer feature Hudson on Instagram, my tv shows or any social platforms until he is old enough to make this decision for himself.” The soon-to-be star of Christina in the Country noted that this was because Anstead’s “manipulation tactics” had made her “mentally exhausted” and “had [a] great impact on me and my household.”

Many responded to his photos by saying it was “unfair” that he’s posting pictures of Hudson while taking legal action against the former Flip or Flop host for doing the same thing, and that he was a “hypocrite” and “two-faced” for doing so. That led to him explaining a few times that “She can post as many as she likes 🥰 x,” likely meaning that his real concern wasn’t family moments like the one he showed, but anything used for promotional means. But, that led to other comments which put a spotlight on his posts of the child with Radford luxury cars, a brand that he’s involved with professionally, to which he replied:

If the TV host continues to post pictures of his son, it seems pretty clear that he’ll have to respond to negative comments. But, with his ex having decided to stop posting photos of Hudson at all, it looks like his remaining concerns about her parenting are over, and that’s the best for everyone involved.

Ahead of this, Christina Hall clarified the promotional material that her former spouse referred to. Shel explained that Hudson appeared in a few of her Instagram ads, which she says took only minutes to film. Per the media personality, the moments featuring her son were “organic,” and he was not “forced” to participate in the videos. She also asserted that the clips were shot with her cellphone and did not involve a production crew. Nevertheless, the star later also stated that she’s decided to make a change when it comes to her 3-year-old’s media participation:

This decision spurs from the notion that her ex, as the Christina on the Coast star puts it, “has made it clear via his public court filings he is using Instagram to rate the kind of parent” she is. She sees this as “unnecessary pressure” when it comes to her personal use of the social media platform. As the Brother vs. Brother alum explained, she sees her account as a way for her to share parts of her personal life with her followers.

Ant Anstead and Christina Hall were married in December 2018 and by September 2020, the two separated. Hall and Anstead’s divorce was finalized in June 2021, and the two initially seemed to be co-parenting effectively, before the custody drama began. Hall also has two kids with Tarek El Moussa, her ex-husband and former Flip or Flop co-host. As of now, those two seem to have a firm grasp on co-parenting.

It remains to be seen how Ant Anstead will respond to Christina Hall’s latest comments. But based on how adamant he’s been thus far about wanting custody of their son, it’s likely that Hall’s revelation won’t convince him to change his course of legal action.

As part of his filing, Anstead noted that he thought his son’s mother had “already exploited” him for “numerous paid promotions,” and had additional footage that she could use without alerting his father beforehand. He added:

While Anstead also said that he and Hall (who changed her name after marrying Joshua Hall earlier this year) have managed to work out all other problems surrounding their son’s care without needing a judge to step in, this is the “one unresolved issue” that remains. From the fears expressed in his documents, it seems pretty apparent that he does not feel it’s in his child’s best interest to be seen in paid posts or on the many HGTV shows hosted by his mom. And, especially with him referencing the tragic death of Toddlers and Tiaras star Posey, it's easy to see where his head seems to be at.

What Did Christina Hall Say About Ant Anstead’s Claims? 

Through her representative, the Christina on the Coast star (whose new husband spoke out after the custody battle began) responded to her ex-husband’s filing, and denied ever exploiting their child. She also alleged that he “never had a problem” with their son “being on camera” until after their fall 2020 split, and that it’s actually him who wants to use their son for paid posts. The statement says, in part:

While it’s good that both parents have come to agreements on the other issues they had about their child’s upbringing, it does appear that it will take some time yet to iron out when and how the boy will continue to be featured on their social media and television shows.

In late April, fans of both Christina Hall and Ant Anstead were shocked when Anstead (who’s now moved on romantically with Oscar winner Renée Zellweger) decided to file for full custody of the former couple’s 2-year-old son, Hudson London, and cited some shocking claims against Hall and her parenting skills. 

According to the documents in the filing, which were obtained by TMZ, Anstead alleged that Hall had only been able to spend roughly “9 full days each month” over the course of the past 20 months with Hudson, and that when the boy is with her, Hall posts him all over her social media, including in paid promotions, leading Anstead to request that the judge stop her from using their child in any “commercial endeavor” unless Anstead had agreed to such activity beforehand.

He also claimed that Hall hadn’t been taking proper care when Hudson was with her, including times where she returned him to Anstead badly sunburnt and after her family had had COVID while Hudson was with them. And, Anstead cited her confirmed use of hallucinogenic toad venom as yet another reason that she was an unsafe parent.

The judge denied Anstead’s move for full custody later on the same day as his filing, stating that he gave an “insufficient showing” of evidence when trying to prove that Hall was unsafe, and noting that she wasn’t given enough notice about his petition, and is allowed time to be able to argue her side of the case.

Accusations Of Bad Behavior From Hall And Anstead’s Camps As Custody Battle Goes On

Throughout Hall’s many troubles since she and Anstead split in September 2020 after less than two full years of marriage, she’s been very outspoken, especially on social media, about dealing with the divorce and other aspects of her personal life. So, Hall did not take his accusations quietly. While Joshua Hall spoke out a few days after the filing, Christina filed a response with the court the same day (via Us Weekly), which said, in part:

Furthermore, a source to Us Weekly said that Hall did, in fact, attempt to head off any legal filings by Anstead when she began to feel that he wasn’t sticking to their previously arranged custody agreement, even though “she was being flexible with him.” According to the source, Hall had her lawyer send Anstead an email letting him know they need to stick to their custody schedule and that she’d retained representation should their issues worsen. However, a source close to Anstead said this wasn’t the case, noting that Hall had been trying recently “to give the illusion of being a hands-on and present parent,” and said:

Where Does The Custody Battle Between Christina Hall And Ant Anstead Stand Now?

While Hall seems to be having a better time co-parenting with the El Moussas, with all of them coming together when their son, Brayden, had a health scare, there has been no word on any developments in the custody case between Hall and Anstead since mid-May. That was when Us Weekly reported that a judge ordered the duo to attend private mediation on June 15, to see if they could work out their visitation and custody problems before their scheduled hearing on June 28.

We don’t know right now if that mediation appointment led to a new custody agreement, or if Christina Hall and Ant Anstead had to keep their court date, but, hopefully, they’ll be able to come to some agreement soon that works for both of them and benefits Hudson the best.

Heather and Tarek El Moussa have been pretty open about their romance since they began dating in 2019, and after their wedding in October of 2021, the newlyweds were honest about what they were going through with their IVF journey, and how difficult it had been. So, it came as a pleasant surprise to both them and their many fans that they were recently able to announce that a new little El Moussa is on its way into the world. After the El Moussas shared their big news, Tarek’s ex-wife, Christina Hall, reportedly responded to the baby update, but she didn’t sound as hyped about it as her other ex-husband, Ant Anstead.

Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa, obviously, came to fame as the husband and wife duo behind the long-running hit, Flip or Flop. While the former couple split in 2016 and divorced in 2018 (with Hall and El Moussa’s tough time on set after the breakup leading to the HGTV show’s demise), Hall is now, apparently, able to celebrate Heather and Tarek’s good news. Though Hall and the El Moussas came together to show support for Brayden after he had to be rushed into emergency surgery a few weeks ago, that came after Hall and her ex-husband’s new wife had a very public spat at a kid’s soccer game. That led to Tarek and Heather opening up about the “really hard” work that goes into co-parenting and making decisions as a unit for the children.

If you’ve been hoping that everyone involved here can be friends, as opposed to just finding a way to be civil as they work together, however, Hall’s alleged feelings about the El Moussas having a baby might seem to lack some oomph. That kind of hyped reaction did come from Hall’s second ex-husband, Celebrity IOU: Joyride host, Ant Anstead, who (according to ET) left this comment on the Instagram post that Heather and Tarek used to announce the pregnancy:

As of this writing, Hall has yet to directly respond publicly about Heather and Tarek El Moussa having a baby, but it seems pretty clear that Anstead (who attempted to gain sole custody of his son with Hall, Hudson London (2), in late April) is thrilled for the happy couple. 

The most important thing, of course, is that Heather and Tarek El Moussa are enjoying this experience and everything it has to offer them, and there’s every evidence that they will, indeed, do just that.

However, he defended the character of his wife, who has since rebounded from the Flip or Flop cancellation with yet another spinoff in the works. He deemed the TV personality a “very driven and incredible woman” and a “positive influence in these kids’ lives.”

Specifically, Christina Hall’s ex-husband, Ant Anstead, alleged several things in the custody filing: that she was only with their son, Hudson, nine days out of each month, that she had allowed him to get a severe sunburn and that her use of toad venom for anxiety was an issue. At the time, the home designer responded to the accusations that she was a “good mom” and that Anstead should’ve dealt with these matters “privately.” Her new husband echoed those sentiments:

This isn’t the first time Josh has come to Christina Hall’s defense. But it also isn’t the first time she herself has been criticized in the public eye for her parenting skills One notable instance happened after a 2017 pool incident that involved child services. In 2020, at the height of her problems with Ant Anstead, the mother of three cryptically wrote on her Instagram an admonishment to those who might insinuate that she was an “absent mother.”

The status of Ant Anstead’s bid for full-time custody remains, largely, a question mark. He was initially denied because Christina Hall gets a chance to argue her side of the story in court before any official changes can be made to their post-divorce agreement. And she will get the chance to do just that during a hearing in June, where Anstead will be appealing for at least temporary full custody. Updates on the situation while likely arise as time goes on.

By that same evening, however, Anstead’s bid for full custody had been denied by the judge. But, he will still be able to make a case for temporary full custody at a hearing in June. The judge denied Anstead’s bid because Hall will need a chance to argue her side of the case before any final changes are made to the custody agreement they currently have.

In his original filing, Anstead claimed that Hall (who recently remarried in secret to Joshua Hall and changed her last name) has only been with Hudson for about “9 full days each month” over the course of the past 20 months, and that when their son is with Hall, she puts him all over her social media. Anstead asked the judge to stop Hall from using their son in paid social media posts or any “commercial endeavor” unless such activity is also agreed to by Anstead beforehand.

On top of the claims of being an absent parent, Anstead also alleged in his filing that Hall has lacked care when Hudson is with her. He noted that earlier in April, the boy returned to him after spending time with his ex-wife and had a sunburn that was so bad it left Hudson crying because of the pain. Supposedly, when Anstead texted Hall about it she replied “...it didn't feel hot. Give him some Tylenol im sure it will be better tomorrow,” which he apparently didn’t deem a sufficient enough response.

Anstead also mentioned Hall’s use of toad venom, which is a hallucinogenic drug that she admitted to using back in July of 2021 and claimed “kicked out years of anxiety in 15 mins,” as more evidence of her ability to be an unsafe parent. The master mechanic also said that, back in January, Hall returned Hudson to his home without telling him that her entire family had had COVID while the child was with them. This led to Anstead’s partner, Oscar winner Renée Zellweger, contracting the virus, which put the production she was working on “on pause.”

Christina Hall did respond to Ant Anstead’s initial filing, and said:

Hopefully, a judge will be able to hear what both Ant Anstead and Christina Hall have to say about custody of their son during their hearing in June, and make the decision that is best for the child. 

A lot of fans were surprised when word came out that Oscar winner Renée Zellweger had started dating Christina On the Coast’s Ant Anstead back in late June. The two had met while Zellweger appeared on his new show, Celebrity IOU Joyride, hit it off, and started taking walks where they were spotted smooching publicly not long after, though they haven’t said much about their relationship. Now, it sounds like the new-ish couple is getting even closer as Anstead prepares to renovate his home, because Zellweger has moved into a house near him.

By the few mentions and publicly acknowledged glimpses we’ve gotten of Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger’s romance, it already seemed like things were going just swimmingly for the two. They’ve mostly remained mum on the state of their romantic affairs, with the recently divorced Anstead only giving fans a couple of looks at his time with the acclaimed talent on his social media, so far. According to TMZ, though, we shouldn’t count their silence as anything like a relationship cool-off, because Zellweger is now renting a home across the street from Anstead’s place in Laguna Beach, California. 

And, not only is Zellweger now installed in the luxurious, five bedroom home (which she’s reportedly renting for a cool $30,000 a month), with all of her belongings being moved in, but the plan is for the two to live in the space together while Anstead has his own house renovated. We’re not sure how extensive those renovations will be, or how long they’ll take, but moving in together even just for a couple of months could certainly be seen as a big step.

Even though both Anstead and the convincingly British actress have been in very public relationships in the past, Anstead’s most recent relationship saw a surprising end just last fall. After less than two full years of marriage (and one child, son Hudson) to Flip or Flop and Christina On the Coast star Christina Haack, she announced their plans to divorce, with Haack and her kids from her first marriage moving out of the home they shared with Anstead this July, about a month after their divorce was finalized.

It would appear that Zellweger rented a great place that would be easy to share with both Anstead and Hudson (who’s now two years old). Not only will it, obviously, allow for the master mechanic to easily check in on the work at his home, but the rental boasts 4,900 square feet, and several amenities, including a pool and a backyard that looks out over the Pacific Ocean.

Seeing as how Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger seem committed to keeping their relationship as private as possible, we may never know if this temporary living arrangement is just for convenience, or if it’s really a trial run for a full-time situation once his renovations are done. But, there is a slight possibility that we’ll be seeing more of the twosome because of the work being done on Anstead’s home, as it will be documented for HGTV’s hit series, Property Brothers. Whether they decide to live together after this or not, at least things appear to be going well for them, and that’s good to see. 

We all know that it can be difficult to bounce back from any kind of major disappointment in life, and that includes those of a romantic kind. Such a situation can be even harder when you're a celebrity, especially if your romantic life has already been the subject of gossip or topic of conversation whenever you happen to be interviewed. Celebrity IOU: Joyride co-host Ant Anstead surprised fans when word started circling that he'd begun dating Oscar winner Renée Zellweger earlier this summer. Now that the duo has (sorta) gone Instagram official, though, Anstead seems to have a strategy for handling all those questions about dating Zellweger: dodging them altogether.

As those of you who pay attention to news in the world of either celebrity relationships or HGTV stars will know, Ant Anstead is just a about a year removed from his breakup with Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast star Christina Haack. So, while fans are surely glad to see that he seems to have found someone else to complete his romantic life, that doesn't mean that dealing with questions about the new relationship is easy, particularly when there have been multiple paparazzi shots of Anstead and Zellweger out, about, and kissing.

When Anstead spoke with Page Six recently about his Discovery+ show, he had this to say when peppered with questions about his personal life:

I mean, I don't hate that Anstead just shut down this line of questioning, seeing as how he wasn't willing to talk about it right then. In late August, after several of those shots of he and Zellweger came out, he did open up a bit and say that "Renee and I have become quite close" during another interview, but, so far, that's the most we've gotten from either of them on the matter.

It must be a hard thing to be in the public eye, but still want some privacy, especially when you're embarking on a new relationship after a very public (and probably very hard) divorce, so dodging questions makes just as much sense as anything.

While Zellweger has been in several high profile relationships before, and likely learned long ago not to discuss her romances in public too much, Anstead is coming off of his first really public whirlwind romance with Haack. The two began dating after she split from her Flip or Flop co-host, Tarek El Moussa, and married not long after. Then, in late September 2020, they split after having one child and being married less than two years.

Anstead had made several appearances on Christina on the Coast, and the couple had been pretty open about their relationship, so it's easy to see why he'd want to keep some of his time with Zellweger between them and their close friends and family. In fact, Anstead went even further in his comments to Page Six, when asked if he's the happiest he's been in a while, and noted:

Maybe, at some point, Ant Anstead will talk more about both his highs and the lessons he learned from his lows, but, for now, he's keeping both aspects of his relationship with Renée Zellweger to himself as much as possible.

Now we are getting a little more detail about the meet-cute that happened in TV land, courtesy of the Property Brothers, themselves, Jonathan and Drew Scott.

ET caught up with the brothers recently and talked about Jonathan’s relationship with The Celebrity Dating Game co-host Zooey Deschanel, a real-estate program they might collaborate on, and their role in setting up Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger. Jonathan and Drew Scott executive produce Celebrity IOU: Joyride, and told ET about the moment Anstead met Zellweger, and felt the sparks. Jonathan told the entertainment network:

The show Celebrity IOU: Joyride is a reality fixer-upper program where a famous participant dives into an automotive project and fixes up a clunker of a car in order to pass it on to someone special in their lives. Renee Zellweger is one of the celebrities featured in the upcoming season, alongside Danny Trejo, Tony Hawk, Octavia Spencer, and James Marsden. As you can imagine, the emotions run pretty high on a show like Celebrity IOU, because it really ends up being about one person helping out another who is in need. Anstead wouldn’t confirm that he cries on camera during the show, but I think that’s a safe bet. I’m getting teary eyed just thinking about the reveals that will happen on the show, and the way someone’s life can be improved through this simple gesture.

At an earlier point, Ant Anstead, whos is divorced from Christina Haackwas, opened up about the moment he met the Jerry Maguire standout, explaining to ET:

Now we’ll see if the relationship lasts. If anything, Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel are role-model examples of a relationship forged on a reality program that can work. Maybe the Scotts can double date with Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger, just to take the pressure of those first few dates off of them. In the meantime, you can tune into Celebrity IOU: Joyride on Discovery+ now, since it made its premiere on August 23.

Most of us would, pretty naturally, assume that when celebrities get together, they already know a fair amount about one another. The very public nature of their work and much of their lives generally means that they've been interviewed a lot and even gossiped about quite frequently, and it can seem easy to put together some of the pieces of their lives before actually meeting them. Well, it turns out that Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead may not have known much about Oscar-winning actress Renée Zellweger before they met and started dating, because her Bridget Jones's Diary performance might have been too real for him.

As most people who enjoy thinking about the dating lives of celebrities will know by now, Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger met in early June when she filmed an episode of his new show, Celebrity IOU: Joyride, for Discovery+. The series premiered just yesterday, and finally gave fans their look at the new couple in action restoring two cars for the brothers who acted as caregivers to Zellweger's late publicist while she battled ALS.

During the episode, Anstead's co-host, Cristy Lee, is prepping him for their meeting with the movie star, and tells him that Zellweger spoke in a British accent during her entire time filming Bridget Jones's Diary and even through the wrap party so she could nail the accent. This prompted a slightly confused look from the master mechanic, who replied:

After his initial shock, Lee informed her co-host that Zellweger is, in fact, from Texas, which is what led to Anstead's "dream crusher" comment. While it's hard to say whether or not Anstead was totally serious about previously believing that the Bridget Jones star was actually from England, I suppose it's not that hard to imagine that he was unaware of the truth.

Sure, Renée Zellweger has been starring in major motion pictures for nearly 30 years, and has (as mentioned above) been interviewed and talked about widely for much of that time. Even though it's hard to remember, not everyone is as committed to knowing any and everything about famous people as we are (We're a team now, you and I. Enjoy it while it lasts.), so this basic information about where Zellweger grew up could have slipped right past Anstead during this time.

Plus, he was busy becoming a master mechanic, and it's likely he had to focus on that for a long time, which could have eliminated brain space for things like where a random celeb spent the early years of her life.

Not only that, but actors adopt accents that aren't their own for roles on a regular basis, and some of them take on the speech patterns of the same country so much that it seems impossible that they aren't actually from that place. Remember when you finished watching all of The Wire and then heard Idris Elba and Dominic West speak with their real accents? That's exactly the feeling that Anstead could have had upon meeting Zellweger for the first time.

Luckily, his potential shock at her true nature didn't dull the sparks that must have flown between them as they filmed Celebrity IOU: Joyride. Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger seem to be going strong, with him having recently spoken about how close they've become, and that's good for both of them.

Unexpected hookups aren’t unusual in a town like Hollywood that's filled with good-looking celebs, but some left-field relationships still do stand out every so often. That seemed to be the case with two-time Oscar winner Renee Zellweger and television host Ant Anstead, who shocked fans as one of the most undercover celeb couplings out there. The pair flew under the radar for months before paparazzi photos came out, and never really addressed anything publicly after being exposed. But now Anstead has finally opened up a little about his and Zellweger’s growing relationship.

Coming out of a public divorce with ex Christina Haack, it’s understandable that Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger would want to keep their relationship on the down-low. Not to mention Zellweger being known as fiercely hands-off when it comes to her personal life. But just because she and Anstead seemed to be kindred spirits in that respect doesn’t mean the press would automatically sidestep asking a million questions about their relationship. Speaking with E! News, the Celebrity IOU: Joyride host said this about his and Zellweger relationship.

Given the nature of the couple’s relationship, the television host seemed fairly reluctant to answer with anything more specific. But when you look at it, both Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger have been in public relationships before, and both have also been been burned by personal life details being publicized. So, maybe they wanted their relationship to grow organically to a certain point without the pressure of the Hollywood spotlight. Plus, Zellweger and Anstead might not have wanted fans to judge their relationship in connection to their careers and other ventures. On the plus side, it’s nice to know Anstead is a gentleman when it comes to protecting the actress’s privacy.

When news first broke that Anstead and Zellweger were dating, some were a little thrown off by the news, while others were curious about how they met. It was while he was hosting his new Celebrity IOU spinoff, which she guest-starred on, that sparks began to fly between Ant Anstead and Renee Zellweger. Meeting your significant other on a Property Brothers-adjacent show is apparently the way to go (just ask Drew Scott).

While Ant Anstead seemed bashful about sharing all kinds of relationship details, he and Zellweger have given fans a small peek into their date nights, or at least one of them. A moment like that is a nice way to quell fans' thirst for some PDA on their own terms, without tabloid interference. Hopefully, Hollywood’s new couple will continue to give more and more romance-heavy peeks as time goes by.

It was just toward the end of June that rumors started to swirl about Ant Anstead and award-winning actress Renée Zellweger having a meet cute on the set of his new show and hitting it off enough for them to start hanging out. While the duo has been spotted out and about since then, neither party has addressed their relationship publicly. Clearly, things have been going well enough with the new couple for him to think it was cool to go Instagram official with Zellweger by both having his friend post this shot of them at an event, and for Anstead to then put it in his Stories for all of his fans to see.

And, if you're thinking this shot of them together isn't a real sign of anything, please note the "We are so happy for you @ant_anstead" that his friend put right above the picture. While this is also not a romantic smoking gun, necessarily, it does seem as though she would have been more specific if talking about a professional accomplishment or something. Plus, I'm sure that Ant Anstead, Renée Zellweger, and members of their inner circle know all about our interest in them dating, so this likely seemed like a good way to make things official.

Of course, Anstead has been through a lot in the past year when it comes to romantic relationships. He and his ex-wife, Christina Haack, split last September after less than two years together, and also have one young son, Hudson, who will turn 2 next month. While Haack spoke a lot about some of the circumstances surrounding their whirlwind romance and what led to the breakup (as well as how she's been coping afterward), Anstead stayed mostly silent on it publicly.

Shortly after Haack revealed that they were headed for divorce, Anstead opened up to his Instagram followers and noted that he waited to speak up because he thought it best to remain "silent while holding on to hope" and "never gave up on us," while deciding to "pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness." So, it seems that he wasn't ready to move on from their marriage when Haack was, which makes it especially nice to see that he's recovering from the split and moving on with his romantic life (as Haack has with her new boyfriend).

Christina Haack and Ant Anstead had to deal with going through a surprising and very public divorce last year during a time which was likely already pretty difficult. While Anstead mostly dealt with it by staying quiet about what led them to break up, and Haack has been pretty vocal about how she's coping, both are moving on with their lives. Anstead has been linked with Oscar winner Renée Zellweger in recent weeks, and as the show they met on is quickly approaching its debut, Haack and her kids are now moving out of the home they shared with him.

Reports came out just about a month ago that master mechanic, car designer, and TV host Ant Anstead may have started dating Renée Zellweger, after she filmed an episode of his upcoming Discovery+ series, Celebrity IOU Joyride. The show features Anstead and his co-host helping celebrities as they surprise the important people in their lives with custom vehicles, and Zellweger and Anstead are said to have hit it off during filming. The trailer for the new show recently came out, revealing that Celebrity IOU Joyride will debut in August, and gave fans some snippets of the episode which will feature the award-winning actress, just as Anstead's ex-wife left their former home behind.

I'm sure that the eagle-eyed among you will notice that we barely got to see any of Renée Zellweger in that trailer, but considering the fact that neither she nor Anstead have publicly talked about their new romance, that's hardly a large shock. While it appears to now be more than a rumor (with them being spotted kissing during a walk over the weekend) that Zellweger and Anstead are an item, it seems that they want to keep things at least semi-private. Plus, I doubt that the producers of Celebrity IOU Joyride want people to tune in to see them together, and nothing else.

Even though fans will soon get to watch Renée Zellweger and Ant Anstead interact on the small screen (and potentially see the seeds of something romantic), the chapter of his life that he shared with Christina Haack has closed further. Haack talked last month about selling the Newport Beach, California home she and her kids (Taylor, 10, and Brayden, 5, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, and Hudson, 22 months, her son with Anstead) once had with the British television personality, and this weekend also saw Haack post on Instagram about finally moving out of the house, which sold for $5.35 million, according to People.

Haack and her kids look pretty happy, so it's good that there didn't seem to be much by the way of moving day stress for them. This is good for many reasons, but especially nice to hear for Haack, as she reportedly had to deal with a recent on-set tirade during the filming of Flip or Flop with her ex, El Moussa, which was directed at her and allegedly got very nasty. It's also worth noting that going through a divorce (and with young children involved) is never easy, so Haack is probably even more glad to be able to close out this chapter of her life by physically moving on with her kids, particularly as she's now gone Instagram official with her new boyfriend.

Celebrity IOU Joyride will hit Discovery+ on August 23, Flip or Flop Season 10 is filming right now, and Hacck's other show, Christina on the Coast premiered Season 3 on HGTV this summer.

It's not infrequent that celebrity couples come together and have fans wondering how they hit it off, on top of how they even met. Well, Oscar winner Renée Zellweger is now, apparently, dating an HGTV star who's been in the news quite a lot lately, and they met because of the Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, and a brand new series of theirs.

According to TMZ, fans might soon be able to see Renée Zellweger out and about with none other than Christina Haack's ex-husband, Ant Anstead. Apparently, the movie star met the master mechanic and car designer when Zellweger appeared on Drew and Jonathan Scott's new Discovery+ show, Celebrity IOU Joyride. Anstead is the co-host of the series, which sees celebrities have Anstead and his co-host, car guru Cristy Lee, assist them in creating "automotive masterpieces for special people in their lives."

The duo met earlier this month, and sources noted that after filming the Celebrity IOU Joyride episode, Renée Zellweger returned to the set at some point, in order to drop off some work boots she had for Ant Anstead. It's not clear why she had the item for Anstead or when they decided to begin dating, but it's said that they made quick work of their short time filming the series together, and have been enjoying each other's company since then.

Ant Anstead and Christina Haack's divorce was officially finalized just a few days ago.

HGTV fans who've been paying attention to Christina Haack since her divorce from former husband (but still current Flip or Flop co-host) Tarek El Moussa, will know that she went on to create her own home renovation series, Christina on the Coast. As you may recall, though, Zellweger is no stranger to either high profile romances or unfortunately short marriages. She was engaged to Jim Carrey from 1999-2000, and married country superstar Kenny Chesney in May 2005, only for that union to be annulled four months later. So, Zellweger probably understands how two people can enter into a marriage with the best of intentions, only for it to become clear very soon that they simply aren't meant to be. Who knows, maybe Zellweger and Anstead were actually able to bond because of their experiences in this area, and, if so, good for them!

Celebrity IOU Joyride is also set to feature stars like Octavia Spencer, James Marsden, Mary J. Blige, Danny Trejo, and Tony Hawk, and will air on Discovery+ sometime this summer. If nothing else, it seems like it'll be worth a watch to see if we notice any sparks flying between Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger. As of right now, neither party has confirmed the romance, but if it's true, happy dating, you two!

The intervening years have seen the duo turn that success into several spinoffs, as well as other business opportunities, and their popularity seems to know no bounds. Anstead had appeared on HGTV's Christina on the Coast, but Season 3 of the renovation show is unlikely to include him, with his divorce from designer Christina Haack imminent. Luckily, the Scott brothers have tapped Anstead, who used to host U.K. car show Wheeler Dealers, to help them take their renovation prowess to a much different area. If you guessed that this will involve a variety of automobiles, you'd be right.

Ant Anstead will be using his skills as a master mechanic and car designer to co-host the new Discovery+ series Celebrity IOU Joyride. The show, which is set to debut in the summer of 2021, will follow the format many viewers enjoyed with Drew and Jonathan Scott's Celebrity IOU, and see Anstead join car guru Cristy Lee as they assist a number of famous folk who want to "create automotive masterpieces for special people in their lives." Celebrity IOU Joyride is set to feature Anstead and Lee while they work with Octavia Spencer, James Marsden, Renee Zellweger, Mary J. Blige, Danny Trejo, and Tony Hawk.

As you may have noticed, Celebrity IOU Joyride doesn't appear to involve any on-camera time from either Scott sibling. But, that's not the case for the second project they're launching with Anstead, Drew’s Dream Car with Ant Anstead. This special will, again, use Anstead's mastery at working with cars as he helps Drew Scott by designing and building the car of Scott's dreams. Those dreams are centered on Scott's love of classic sports cars from the 1960s, and lead to a car which "evolves into a true marriage of old and new as it looks to a greener future," with "creative input" from the whole Scott family.

Drew’s Dream Car with Ant Anstead is also debuting on Discovery+ this summer, and will be a two-hour special, while Celebrity IOU Joyride will have a six-episode first season.

Well, who could have guessed that Drew and Jonathan Scott would move into fixing up cars for some of their next shows? It's definitely a surprising option, considering how well they're known for renovating homes and making sure that people have abodes which really fit their lifestyles. But, it's true that people like for their cars to do the same thing, so when it comes to broadening their scope, it does make a certain sense that the Scotts would see if they could help in that respect, as well. And, seeing as how their expertise is with houses, we can understand why they'd pick a top notch car designer like Ant Anstead to help with these new projects.

After news of his split from wife Christina Anstead broke, Ant Anstead took a brief hiatus from social media. Now, however, he’s back with a vengeance, though he looks a little bit different from when we saw him before his September split. Apparently, Christina Anstead’s decision to divorce led to some major weight loss for the TV personality.

This week, Ant Anstead debuted a behind-the-scenes look back at work on one of his automotive related projects and he looks totally different. At first glance this may seem to be because his arms look all tatted up, though I believe that’s a long-sleeved t-shirt.

However, one fan commented that Ant seemed to be a bit “thinner,” to which Ant Anstead responded that he had, in fact, lost weight. Quite a bit of weight, to be frank. He noted he’d lost 23 pounds in the month since the split from Christina Anstead was first announced, though he told the fan in the Instagram comments, “Don’t worry, I will get it back on.”

Ant Anstead had made it clear previously that the decision to divorce lied with Christina Anstead and not with him. He told his fans that he had never given up but that the Flip or Flop star ultimately did, noting,

The two share a son, Hudson, and plan to continue co-parenting even though they no longer will be together. Ant Anstead also has two children from a previous marriage to Louise Anstead.

For his part, it’s nice to see Ant Anstead back to work and seemingly getting on his feet again. For her part, Christina Anstead has been open about her feelings related to the impending divorce and has said she is seeing her divorce as an opportunity “to grow.” She also got back to work right away on a new season of Flip or Flop with her other ex Tarek El Moussa, with more from her more personal life-oriented series Christina on the Coast also on the way. El Moussa also recently spoke out about people being so invested and engaged in he and his former life partner's personal lives, revealing he believes the fans feel like they know the El Moussa/Anstead clan at this point.

The year 2020 has been hard for everyone, but particularly I’d assume for people -- and celebrities -- whose relationships just weren’t quite strong enough to weather the storm. Here’s hoping Ant and Christina Anstead will ultimately be healthier and happier apart.

Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast star Christina Anstead announced her split from husband Ant Anstead in September after less than two years of marriage. Of course, divorce is never easy and Anstead had to contend with some false stories speculating the reason behind the couple’s breakup. In the month following the news, Anstead is embracing life and choosing to find "peace" after her split.

Christina Anstead’s relationship with Ant Anstead was showcased from time to time on HGTV's Christina on the Coast. Along with her three children – two of which are with her ex-husband and Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa – the reality star's life seems to be going smoothly. (On the surface, at least.) Anstead recently took to Instagram with a water-filled video post that indicated she has left her worries behind. Here’s what she wrote:

I’m sure that Christina Anstead is going through a lot right now and I’m glad that she’s choosing to take part in activities that make her feel good and appreciative of life, despite any rough patches in her life at the moment. It sounds like Anstead was stressed about the public's (and the tabloids') speculation surrounding her split with Ant Anstead. Now, however, she’s done “playing the game,” whatever that may entail. Perhaps it means she isn't reading into speculation noise anymore, and thus won't be inspired to post responses that could start the cycle all over again.

Alongside the caption, the HGTV star included a video of the ocean she referenced. In it, you can hear the gentle lapping of the waves and Christina Anstead gets a close-up of a large group of dolphins swimming. It’s a rather beautiful and peaceful place for quiet contemplation. Take a look!

While Christina Anstead is no longer with her second husband, she’s still starring alongside her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa in Flip or Flop, which debuted its ninth season on HGTV in August. Anstead says the pair are in a “good spot” and that things have gotten a lot easier now that it’s been four years since their split. El Moussa recently became engaged to Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young, so it seems that some things are still going well, despite Anstead’s divorce news.

HGTV’s Christina on the Coast is mostly Christina Anstead’s big solo series; however, we have met some of her close circle on the reality show, including bestie Cassie Zebisch -- who has gotten some house updates on the series thanks to her famous pal. Now, as news of Christina Anstead’s big split from Ant Anstead has rolled around the Internet, Zebisch is sharing her feelings on the split and how Anstead has been pulling through during the tough time.

First and foremost, Cassie Zebisch is making it clear that Christina Anstead is “resilient.” She’s also been inspiring Zebisch in recent weeks, with Anstead’s publicist pal defending the HGTV star previously and also noting to People,

Unlike a lot of celebrity personality, Christina Anstead has also been candid about her divorce. She revealed shortly after her split from Ant Anstead that she never thought she’d be someone who was divorced twice or had children with two different dads. She shared feelings of anxiousness and tried to be as honest as possibly about what was happening in her personal life without giving away the details of why the split with Ant Anstead happened.

For Ant’s part, he’s been staying home with Hudson and giving Christina Anstead a little bit of space to travel. In his own social media post, he also reassured fans that he is “doing fine” and that Christina is also “fine.” He noted that he had “remained silent while holding onto hope,” though as days turn to weeks and both move forward apart, the chances of a reconciliation grow slimmer.

In fact, though, because the two are still co-parenting their one-year-old son, they keep in touch. TMZ reported Ant and Christina Anstead were still sharing a home a few weeks ago so they could co-parent, though it’s unclear if that will remain a thing longterm.

Christina Anstead is continuing work over on HGTV, where Flip or Flop finally was able to start filming Season 9 after a long post-renewal wait. Anstead still films that series with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, so she’s on friendly terms with both of her exes. She also recently left her youngest child at home with Ant Anstead and took her two older kids (from her marriage to El Moussa) to Tennessee where they saw some sights and Anstead may have tried some whiskey.

We’ll likely eventually learn more about the split when Christina on the Coast makes a comeback on HGTV, though Flip or Flop focuses less on the business partners' personal lives now that she and Tarek El Moussa are no longer an item. Recent reports indicate Christina on the Coast is also currently filming Season 3, so the timing on that would lineup with people being interested in what happened between Christina and Ant Anstead.

For the second time in the past few years, HGTV star Christina Anstead is going through a highly publicized break-up. The Flip or Flop co-host recently separated from current husband Ant Anstead, and divorce proceedings are likely imminent. And though she has publicly remarked on the split, the UK-born TV presenter has been keeping a tight lip about the situation, and spoke out about why he'd initially maintained his silence.

Ant Anstead took to social media with a picture of himself and Christina, and explained that his lack of input so far stems from both his innate sense of privacy and perhaps blind faith that they would find a way to get back together. Here's how he put it on Instagram:

Ant Anstead's ongoing show of hope seems to run counter to how Christina Anstead angled the break-up when she first dropped that reveal on fans. At the time, she stated that they had both made the difficult decision to separate from one another, but it does sound like she had a bit more invested in that decision than he did.

Of course, even if he wasn't hypothetically still pining away for Christina, Ant Anstead may very well have wanted to maintain his silence due to the overwhelming majority of people who share every kind of opinion possible on social media and other online forums. For instance, Anstead took to Instagram to celebrate having a "Beautiful Boyz Weekend" with their one-year-old son Hudson, but he later had to curtail comments on the post, and explained his reasoning in the pic's edited caption, which read:

That sentiment sounds a lot more accepting of the situation, in that Ant Anstead's language is more clear about separating himself from Christina. Regardless, it seems clear that the former couple's respective and combined fanbases have been quick to play armchair marriage counselor when it isn't welcomed or appreciated.

Ant Anstead's 16-year-old daughter Amelie and 14-year-old son Archie both live in the U.K. with their mother Louise Herbert. He'd previously been unable to visit with them due to COVID-related travel limitations, but was able to make that trip in August. He and Christina share the one child, Hudson, while she has a 10-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son with Flip or Flop co-host and ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has remained cordial since their own divorce.

Everyone is aware that finding love again after going through a breakup, especially if you were recently divorced, can be a tricky proposition. While fans of former Flip or Flop couple Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa were stunned when the two split, now there's more bad news for Anstead on the relationship front, as she and new husband Anthony "Ant" Anstead have also decided to divorce, after less than two years of marriage.

The Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast star took to Instagram to announce her split, which comes after she and Ant Anstead, who's the co-host of British car enthusiast series Wheeler Dealers, wed in a surprise Newport Beach, California ceremony in December 2018. As you can see from the caption on Christina Anstead's post, it sounds like the former couple came to a mutual decision after much thought, and is trying to focus on their children as they figure out what's ahead for each of them amid the divorce. The couple share a young son, Hudson London, who just celebrated his first birthday on September 6 of this year.

Fans will know that Christina and Ant Anstead were more than willing to let cameras into their home for her new renovation series, Christina on the Coast, which is currently airing its third season. We often saw not only the Ansteads, but their baby and Christina's two children with El Moussa, daughter Taylor Reese, 9, and son Brayden James, 5, during downtime between her hard work renovating homes in Southern California. The Ansteads were quite the blended family, as Ant also has two children with his previous wife, daughter Amelie, 16, and son Archie, 13.

I'm sure this breakup has come as quite a blow to both Christina and Ant Anstead, as well as their children, while fans of the couple are likely to be quite shocked. While I'm not sure when Season 3 of Christina on the Coast was filmed, even in those episodes, the relationship between both of them, as well as Ant's relationship with her children, is pretty much always very relaxed, loving, warm and filled with humor. So, whatever was going on behind the scenes certainly didn't seem to make it on camera. Which isn't what fans saw from later seasons of Flip or Flop, when she and her soon-to-be ex were going through their divorce.

Of course, Christina Anstead is also still working on Flip or Flop with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. Season 9 of the home renovation hit is set to debut on October 15, with the former couple making the decision to continue their working relationship even after they split in May 2016. They found plenty of reasons to keep their home flipping business, and the television show which made them famous, going, none the least of which was the fact that Flip or Flop managed to launch six direct spinoffs on HGTV, plus Christina on the Coast and El Moussa's own series, Flipping 101.

It's always sad to hear that any couple couldn't make their romance work in the long run, but here's hoping that Christina Anstead and Ant Anstead will have the time they need to process the end of their marriage and come back strong.
