The ongoing saga between Bam Margera and the rest of the Jackass crew, specifically Johnny Knoxville, has reared up once again with the release of Jackass: Best and Last on the 2026 movie schedule. Margera, arguably the second biggest star in the whole cast of the original show, has been estranged from Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine for years now. The fallout really escalated in 2022 with the production of Jackass: Forever, and now Knoxville has spoken out about Margera’s lack of participation in the latest release. Here’s what he had to say about it.

Bam Was Invited, But He Said No

Bam Margera’s personal problems have been well documented over the years. And according to the producers of Jackass: Forever, they were the reason he was fired from the production five years ago. Margera has a different take on the firing, claiming they didn’t live up to their end of the deal when he agreed to go to rehab as a condition of appearing in the movie. Margera and Knoxville have been on the outs ever since.

That means he also didn’t appear in any new footage for the latest movie, which is a combination of “best of” bits, outtakes, and some new stunts and has been somewhat warmly received by fans and critics. Margera does appear in one outtake filmed in 2020. That wasn't really a surprise to anyone who has followed the drama for all these years, but until recently, Knoxville has been somewhat mum on the decision not to include Margera again.

When Knoxville was finally asked in an Esquire interview why Margera is only seen in the movie in old footage, he gave a pretty straightforward answer. According to Johnny, Bam turned down the offer to appear. Here’s what he said:

Margera sees things differently, of course. He has also been asked recently about not appearing in the movie. It has everything to do with Knoxville and Tremaine, according to Margera. Speaking to Rolling Stone earlier this month, he said that while he was planning on seeing Jackass: Best and Last, he said a reunion was out of the question. He told the magazine:

Those decisions, according to Margera, led to a lawsuit after Jackass: Forever, which was settled shortly after the movie was released in 2022. The legal drama has been over for some time, but it seems the lingering wounds still haven’t healed for Margera. For his part, Knoxville is seemingly taking the high road, though it doesn’t seem like the two are going to squash their beef anytime soon.

It's the end of a nearly 30-year legacy with Jackass: Best and Last landing on the 2026 movie calendar this weekend. On that note, there are plenty of ways to thank the Jackass crew for years of some of the funniest and nude-heavy stunts imaginable. But April Margera may have found the most fitting one: thanking them for destroying her house. That sounds ridiculous anywhere else but, when it comes to this wild franchise, it is practically a family toast.

Bam Margera’s parents, April and Phil Margera, shared a sweet and very funny message to the crew in a video posted by the official Jackass Instagram account. It's fitting this comes amid the release of Jackass: Best and Last, which has been framed as the franchise's farewell ride. You can see the video below:

The former reality TV regulars were never just relatives hovering at the edge of the frame. Thanks to MTV staples Jackass and Viva La Bam, not to mention the larger CKY orbit, the Margera household became one of the franchise’s most recognizable locations. It was a home, sure, but it was also a staging ground for chaos. If something could be broken, startled, sprayed, crashed into or otherwise turned into a problem for “Ape” and Phil, there was a decent chance it happened there.

That is what made Bam Margera’s mother’s thanks so perfect. She shared a funny yet heartwarming message, saying:

Needless to say, most parents would not look back on people wrecking their belongings and land on gratitude. April, somehow, can. That is part of why fans have always loved her. She was often exhaustedly furious with her son's antics, and usually justified in that reaction, but she also brought warmth to the madness.

Phil’s message was more straightforward, but no less heartfelt. He said:

That last part hits a little differently, given how complicated Bam’s history with Jackass has become over the years. The former stunt performer has said in the past that he is done with the franchise, and he did not film anything new for the fifth and final movie. As public and painful as the rift between former castmates has been, it is great to hear his dad share some love. All in all, Phil’s comment keeps the focus on what always seemed to sit underneath the stunts: real affection.

The franchise worked because viewers could tell these guys were not just coworkers chasing a bit. They were friends, brothers, collaborators, lunatics and occasional human bowling pins. The fan-favorite mom then added one more thought:

That is the most Jackass possible way to describe closure. Even when everyone says it is over, April Margera still sounds like a woman who knows better than to relax fully. Somewhere, in some corner of her mind, a prank is still waiting.

It feels like the unofficial Jackass house parents are speaking from the exact place fans remember them from. While they were dragged into the circus because their son was part of it, I'd like to think that over time, they became an emotional anchor of that circus. And, judging by their message, they also gained a second family and, for Jackass, that feels about right.

It will be the end of an era when Jackass: Best and Last hits the 2026 movie schedule this weekend, as Johnny Knoxville’s franchise comes to a close after more than a quarter-century of dangerous, vomit-inducing and nudity-heavy stunts. An entire generation has grown up watching Steve-O, Wee Man and more risk their lives for a laugh, but there’s one misconception that Knoxville would like to clear up.

Jackass: Best and Last is getting surprisingly positive feedback from critics, as the final movie in the series combines classic clips, never-before-seen footage and new stunts. It’s a greatest hits collection that shows how, for 26 years, these guys have put their bodies through things that no sober, clear-thinking person would … right? Apparently, that’s not the case, and while Johnny Knoxville admits there’s been a lot of partying over the years, it didn’t happen while they filmed. He told Esquire:

Johnny Knoxville knows all too well how dangerous what they do is — pointing out that Jackass stunts, unlike Tom Cruise’s in Mission: Impossible, are set up to fail. As a result, Knoxville suffered 16 concussions even before the catastrophic bull injury that left him with brain damage. In fact, that prevented him from performing any extreme stunts in the new movie, because he can’t risk getting hit in the head again. Drugs and alcohol definitely have no place in a situation that’s already that dangerous.

They may not have been imbibing or using when they did the stunts, but the Jackass crew has seen its share of substance abuse issues. Steve-O has credited Johnny Knoxville with helping him get sober in 2008, with Knoxville calling him “extremely brave” for making that choice every day — strong words, given what they do for a living.

Substance abuse is also reportedly the reason behind Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera’s falling out. The latter was fired from Jackass Forever, reportedly due to his alcoholism, which led Margera to file a lawsuit against Knoxville, Paramount and others.

Some truly scary times followed, in which Bam Margera was in and out of rehab, and he’d post alarming social media messages and then go missing. Now, however, Margera seems to be in a much better place, as his parents recently offered a positive update on his sobriety journey.

It’s actually a relief to know that Johnny Knoxville and the rest apparently had strict rules against being drunk or high when doing stunts, because at least if they’re going to be putting themselves in such ridiculous and dangerous situations, they’re doing it with a clear mind.

We may not see any new extreme stunts from Bam Margera or Johnny Knoxville in Jackass: Best and Last, but thanks to the “greatest hits” nature of the movie, we’ll still see them in some gems from the past — including behind-the-scenes footage of the bull incident that sidelined Knoxville.

It’s come to this: A Jackass clip show. And with the first trailer drop for Jackass: Best and Last, we’ve gotten a good idea just what this blend of old and new means for what will (supposedly) be the final Jackass movie, which will hit the 2026 movie schedule on June 26th. It also means we’re going to see all of the key members of the Jackass crew, like Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and Chris Pontius, plus the late Ryan Dunn and the exiled Bam Margera.

Bam Didn’t Film Anything

Jackass: Best and Last is the first movie that Margera didn’t actually film anything for. He didn’t do much in the last movie, Jackass Forever, as his personal issues led to his firing from the production pretty early on. That estrangement has continued, often very publicly, for four years since the last movie was released, and he was never part of the new footage filmed here. That doesn’t mean he won’t be in the new movie.

That’s because the new movie, as I mentioned, is a blend of new stunts, greatest hits, and never-before-seen outtakes of past Jackass productions. This includes, it appears, all the previous movies and even the original MTV show. Margera was a huge part of the first three Jackass movies (available to watch with a Paramount+ subscription) and, of course, the original show. That means we could be seeing quite a bit of Margera in this newest one.

What Is The State Of Margera’s Friendship With Johnny Knoxville?

There has been a lot of bad blood between Margera and Johnny Knoxville, though, to be fair, it has mostly come from Margera. The former skater has been pretty open both about his struggles with substance abuse and how he feels about Knoxville and Jackass director Jeff Tremaine. Knoxville was asked about the state of the relationship in February in an interview with Rolling Stone, and Knoxville replied:

However, the feeling doesn’t seem mutual. While Margera has said he supports the use of old footage, his feelings towards the powers that be at Jackass are still as sharp as barbed wire. In January, shortly after it was announced that he would indeed appear in the old footage, Margera told TMZ:

This is a dispute where sides have been taken, both with the members of Jackass and with the fans, but for me, as a fan, I’m just glad I’ll get to see some moments from a time when the whole crew was getting along and creating some of the funniest moments of the early 21st century.

Like a lot of dudes in their mid-to-late 30s, I spent way too much time watching Jackass (the 2002 movie was the first time I snuck into a theater), the CKY videos and pretty much anything that involved Bam Margera doing really dumb shit for a quick laugh. I cannot even count how many nights my friends, brothers and I would watch Margera and company pull off some impossible tricks on a skateboard before making life hell for his parents.

That said, you can probably imagine how bummed I was when Margera was dismissed from Jackass Forever before the film’s 2022 release, and then again when he recently explained to one of my colleagues why he was done with the franchise. What hope I had for a return to the old days was shattered in an instant, like a collarbone from a stunt gone awry.

Bam Margera Saying 'The Damage Has Been Done' Seems Like The Nail In The Coffin For Any Potential Returns

When I read Bam Margera’s CinemaBlend interview not that long ago, the realization hit me that, despite the former Element Skateboards pro making great strides in his personal life and making amends, this was pretty much the nail in the coffin for any potential return to the Jackass brand. As he told my colleague Mike Reyes:

Bam saying “the damage has been done” hit so damn hard. It hit harder than a football into that “brand-new” car from CKY, harder than the giant hand from Jackass 3, and harder than tipping over in a shopping cart at a high rate of speed. It’s over, and I have to accept it.

I Had A Feeling It'd Come To This, But I Always Thought The Band Would Get Back Together For One Last Ride

Even when Bam Margera sued his former Jacakss costars a few years ago, I still held onto hope and thought that eventually the band would get back together for at least one last ride. “Never say never” is pretty much the gospel of show business, and for a while there it looked like water would be under the bridge, and Bam, Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville would be jumping over it in a shopping cart before too long.

Call me an optimist, call me a fool, call me someone who’s afraid to let go, I don’t care. I had a feeling it’d come to this and Bam would go his own way, but hope can do a lot to a man-child, especially when it comes to something like Jackass.

I Appreciate Margera's Candor, But I'm Bummed Nonetheless

With Bam Margera being in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 after there were fears that all the drama surrounding him in recent years would prevent him from showing up in the remaster of the 2001 and 2002 skating games, I’m glad he’s getting to a chance to be in the spotlight again. I also appreciate his candor regarding the whole Jackass situation and where he wants to go in life. I truly do..

However, I’m still bummed that he’s not going to be teaming up with his old friends (and even older based on comments he made about Viva La Bam) any time soon. But I’m still going to hope.

If I can’t see new Bam Margera stunts and shenanigans, at least I can go back and watch classic episodes of Jackass, the movies, and a lot of the skater-turned-superstar’s past efforts, with a Paramount+ subscription.

People mostly know Bam Margera as a skateboarder and prank icon, thanks to his work on Jackass and Viva la Bam. While the 2025 TV schedule won’t be seeing a return to such projects, thanks to Margera being done with Jackass, there’s another venue at which you can enjoy his particular set of skills: your video game console.

That's not as unusual as you'd think, as during this press tour, Margera has been sharing his stories with the franchise’s original form - both behind and in front of the controller. That second half is what took priority in my interview on behalf of CinemaBlend, as Bam Margera provided this anecdote when I asked what he felt was the largest change since he started appearing in the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater series:

Initially appearing in 2001’s original release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3, the West Chester, Pennsylvania native would become somewhat of a fixture in the franchise. Continuing to recur in the lineup through 2007’s Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground, that specific span of time saw a lot of changes being made in how video games were made, sold, and even played.

For comparison, that same span of time saw the original trilogy of Halo released on the Xbox. In real time, the public saw gaming go from a niche hobby to a massive entertainment battlefield, with 2004's Halo 2 (altered ending and all) landing first-day sales that were eventually compared to those of a major blockbuster.

Fast forward to 2025, and video games featuring A-list actors and personalities aren’t a novelty, making the comparisons to the movie industry even stronger. Neither is the usage of Bullet Time, as this year's 28 Years Later was able to achieve that same feat, with merely a fleet of iPhones. Bam Margera can attest to both, as his description of being scanned into Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4 sounds like something out of a Marvel movie:

Admittedly, there’s one Bam story that inspired me to ask about the good old days. As you’ll see in the behind-the-scenes video below, the scanning process that brought Mr. Margera into the game is shown off quite well. Though as you watch, you'll actually learn the tale of how the first two Tony Hawk's Pro Skater actually led Bam Margera to miss quite a few flights in his heyday:

Skateboarding has played an important part in Bam Margera’s sobriety journey, with that practice acting as the eventual door to mend his friendship with Tony Hawk. Eventually, a skate session between the old pals led to Margera being a last-minute inclusion in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3+4.

Being billed as the “secret skater” of the freshly released title is a pretty cool distinction to have, even more so with Viva la Bam’s titular star being a huge fan. If things go well enough, maybe he’ll be able to continue featuring in hypothetical remakes of other Pro Skater entries.

Or maybe, with this new experience in game acting under his belt, Bam may want to start a new series that translates that experience into something new. That sort of thinking certainly worked out in Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes’ recent Call of Duty experience. During the early years of Bam Margera’s career as a skateboarding TV icon, the MTV shows Jackass and Viva la Bam were his claim to fame. When it came to the rowdy funsters in the Dickhouse Productions family, there were tons of stunts, pranks and shenanigans that fans continue to talk about. That was until a rift formed in the wake of Margera’s dismissal from Jackass Forever; which based on the comments the man himself shared with CinemaBlend, sounds like a permanent fixture.

The Fallout From Jackass Forever Is Still Strong With Bam Margera

I had the privilege of speaking with Bam Margera to discuss his inclusion as the “secret skater” in Activision’s new remake of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4. During our chat, the subject of whether he could return to either of his hit MTV shows seemed ripe for discussion, especially in the wake of successful reboots such as Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

While the media personality didn’t seem too adverse to reprising the stunt/prank angle of Jackass, a reunion with Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and the rest of the OG crew was flat out off the table. Margera shared with me why this is is the case, with the following explanation:

In previous interviews, Margera’s concern over the Jackass legacy has squarely been linked to his feelings towards Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine. As mentioned above, the huge sticking point to Margera’s feud and eventually settled legal battle with his former colleagues was his supposed coercion into a rehab program.

With so much bad blood over such a short span of time, it doesn’t seem like there will be any sort of Jackass revival or reunion of any kind with Bam Margera present. Thankfully, the reasons why the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4 star won’t be bringing Viva la Bam back are not the result of any sort of falling-out.

A Viva La Bam Revival Is Equally Unlikely, And I Agree With Bam Margera’s Reason Why

Though people still hold some of the most stomach-churning Jackass stunts in high regard, highlights from Bam Margera’s solo series are also part of the conversation. Which is a good time to mention that there is no way Viva la Bam is going to return. In this case you can just chalk it up the results to getting older and wiser, as seen in Margera’s answer about that hypothetical revival:

For now, Bam Margera is happy to be skateboarding again, trying to get in at least a trick a day. At the same time, Margera's candor on his struggles, Jackass or otherwise, feels like another important component to his sobriety journey.

That sort of mentality helped him land his return to the world of video games, and helped he mend fences in his friendship with Tony Hawk. Maybe his new routine will inspire some sort of new venture down the line, but for now you can unlock and play as Bam Margera in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3+4, which is currently available on all major gaming platforms.

Bam Margera has had a complicated life over the last couple of years. While it seems the former Jackass star has remained on the road to recovery, despite accusations of relapsing, the skateboarder is still working through the incidents of his past and has now been sentenced to six months of probation following an altercation last year. 

The incident took place at the family home of the Margera clan. According to the AP, Bam had been charged with the assault of his own brother, Jess Margera, as well as making threats against other family members. Margera reportedly spent two weeks at home last year where he allegedly didn’t sleep for days and kicked in the bedroom door of his brother’s girlfriend. It was she who ultimately called the police. Jess Margera suffered a ruptured eardrum as a result of their altercation. Bam Margera pleaded guilty to the charges against him.

Margera’s lawyer argued in his defense that the former Jackass star has been sober for several months. Even Jess Margera said his brother was “a good dude when he’s not messed up” during the hearing, a sentiment he had expressed publicly previously. The fact that Bam was not sober at the time of the incident, but is now, may have gone a long way to preventing jail time from being part of the sentence. 

Bam Margera spent the last few years in constant legal trouble, and in and out of various rehab facilities. Last year Margera even went missing, causing his brother to reach out on social media for help in locating him. It’s unclear how close in time this was to the incident.

While Margera may finally be able to put this incident behind him, he seems less able to let bygones be bygones elsewhere in life. Margera still holds a grudge against Johnny Knoxville for being left out of the last Jackass movie. He had signed an agreement that required he remain sober in order to be included, an agreement he violated. Margera ended up suing over the snub, but the lawsuit was later settled. 

As recently as March Margera said he could not forgive Knoxville and Jackass Forever director Jeff Tremaine for the way that he feels he was treated. It was following this public battle that Margera continued to make headlines for leaving rehab on multiple occasions, leading to numerous altercations with authorities.

We haven’t seen Bam Margera’s name in headlines as much for the last few months, which would seem to indicate his sobriety has been holding, and he's been staying out of trouble as a result. Bam's sobriety has given him supervised opportunities to see his son, something that he has often claimed was a major goal. As long as that continues, the six-month probation should cause him few problems. 

Bam Margera made a name for himself as one of the OG cast members of the Jackass franchise. For years, the stunt performer and skateboarder entertained audiences alongside his co-stars, through their wild (and dangerous) feats. More recently though, Margera has been on the outs with his former collaborators and even sued Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine a few years ago. Margera was recently asked about the state of his relationship with the franchise that made him a star. While sharing his thoughts, he didn’t hold back when discussing the gripes he has with Knoxville and Tremaine.

As the 44-year-old media personality has sought to maintain sobriety, he’s been reflecting on his life and career. That includes his time being a part of one of the biggest media franchises that MTV has ever had. The father of one spoke to Us Weekly about his continuing efforts to stay healthy and also ended up touching on where he stands with his former comrades. While he shared positive sentiments about longtime collaborator Steve-O, he was less than complimentary when discussing the other two aforementioned series alums:

Drama amongst the trio broke out back in 2021 after it was reported that Bam Margera was fired from Jackass Forever, which he filmed some material for. He subsequently began to call out his former collaborators on social media over the decision. Eventually, Jeff Tremaine took legal action by filing a temporary restraining order against the ousted performer. Said order was eventually extended by three years after Margera purportedly threatened Tremaine’s family with a death threat.

The Viva La Bam star filed suit against the pair, Paramount Pictures and more in late 2021 following his dismissal from the movie. At the center of the lawsuit was a “wellness agreement” that he claimed he was required to sign for the production. It was also reportedly stipulated that he had to complete a minimum 90-day stint in a rehab facility and maintain sobriety should he join the movie. On the whole, it was the Radio Bam host’s contention that he had been wrongfully terminated. Though it was also reported that he’d tested positive for Adderall.

Months after the filing, the lawsuit was dismissed in 2022, as Bam Margera settled with his ex-collaborators out of court. Considering that the dust seems to have settled on the legal proceedings, it’s natural to wonder whether Margera would ever consider returning to the MTV franchise. While chatting with Us Weekly, he answered that question with comments that seem to be definitive:

Bam Margera took shots at Johnny Knoxville on multiple occasions in 2023. In one instance, Margera challenged him to a fight in a video posted to Instagram. He later dissed Knoxville again by way of a song, which took shots at the Jackass crew as a whole. At this point, it seems that the damage has been done and that Margera is seeking to distance himself from Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and the fan-favorite brand that he believes has now been "ruined."

Jackass debuted on MTV back in 2000, so the motley crew of pranksters and stunt performers have been in the public eye for over two decades at this point. While some fans have re-watched the franchise with a Paramount+ subscription, others have been following the legal and sobriety journey of Bam Margera. But after Bam hit a sobriety milestone, fans are worried about a possible relapse after video leaked of him and fiancee Dannii Marie having a shouting match, including chatter about a drug test.

The video was acquired by TMZ, and shows Bam and Marie having a heated argument last week. While the audio is hard to make out, the couple is shown screaming in a parking lot. At one point he tells her to go find a drug test, presumably to prove his sobriety.

Margera reportedly clarified things with TMZ, revealing that the conflict took place shortly after a skateboarding injury which left him with a torn MCL and ACL. He claims the argument happened when he went outside to smoke, and she worried he was secretly using drugs. 

While Margera had some notable conflicts with his ex, including a public intoxication arrest while his son was there. As such, fans worried that he might be relapsing due to his injury and this argument with Dannii Marie. But he told the publication that he's actually happy to have someone so concerned over his sobriety journey. 

The public has been following Margera's legal and sobriety issues for years now. His wife filed for separation as a result of his struggles, and the pair have been involved in a custody battle over their son. Ex Nicole Boyd also claimed that she was left without child support, before eventually Bam was able to have supervised visitation with son Phoenix. 

Despite this viral video from TMZ, Margera maintains that he hasn't used drugs, and recently hit the 6-month mark in his sobriety. Considering how the public has watched him through various arrests and escapes from rehab, this is welcomed news for his generations of fans who have been concerned over his behavior. 

Filmed arguments aside, Bam has been singing the praises of his current partner Dannii Marie for helping to keep him on the straight and narrow. That's seemingly what was happening in the viral video, although the tension was high and he seemed offended by her line of questioning. Alas, it seems the pair are still together and not going anywhere anytime soon. 

It's been a few months since Margera made a headline like this, so it seems like he's been in a good place as of late. Hopefully this argument was just a small bump in the road, and he remains healthy. There are certainly plenty of fans who remain concerned with his well-being. 

Jackass fans have watched Bam Margera battle addiction in recent years. He revealed earlier in 2023 that he was sober as he started making public appearances again, and he’s been marking his sobriety on social media. Now Margera gave fans a peek into one way he’s staying sober – skateboarding. The Jackass vet just can’t stop, won’t stop showing off his skateboarding skills.

Most Jackass fans know the TV personality was a well-known professional skateboarder before his time doing outrageous stunts on the MTV show and its movies. Margera appeared to be in a better place as he uploaded a series of skateboarding clips to his Instagram account. Right around Thanksgiving, the former Jackass star put up a clip showing him doing a simple stunt on a makeshift skate ramp. Watch Margera get back to his first love in the video below.

The first clip was just a preview of his renewed interest in the sport. Margera hopped on Instagram again to post another skateboarding clip. This time, the former skateboarding professional took his board and skills to a public skate park. However, Bam Margera wasn’t done showing the world he still got it. The stunt performer appeared jovial in another Instagram clip as he displayed a few tricks while surrounded by other skaters in a park. You can see Margera’s beaming expression in the cool video below.

Compared to his infamous and scary stunts from the Jackass films, the TV personality seemed at peace as he and the board became one. This is understandable considering he’s been active in the sport since childhood. Despite his addiction struggles over the years, it’s nice to see his excellent skateboarding skills are still intact.

Bam Margera’s Public Sobriety Battle Has Resulted In Dire Consequences

Those amazing skateboarding clips are a good sign that Bam Margera’s sobriety journey is going well. It’s been heartbreaking watching the former Jackass star struggle with alcoholism and drug use in recent years. Per this report, there aren't any concrete plans/dates for this meet-up to occur, but one would assume this will happen sooner rather than later. Margera has spent months complaining about missing his son, Bam's chance to finally reunite with Phoenix is one he'll presumably jump at.

But the skateboarder may finally be on the right path as he has hit a milestone, having been sober for over 100 days. And he’s congratulations from the likes of Mark Wahlberg.

The connection between the two comes from one of the factors that Margera is crediting with his sobriety being successful, the gym. Specifically, according to TMZ, Margera has been working out at a gym owned by Jarred Taylor, a U.S. Air Force vet who worked with Wahlberg on the film Lone Survivor. Following Margera hitting 100 days sober, and approaching 120 days, he reached out to Wahlberg, and the actor responded to him with a video, saying in part…

120 days sober is quite an accomplishment for Bam, especially considering how difficult it has been for him up to this point. Margera had been in court-ordered rehab in Florida but it had not agreed with him. Bam left the facility on multiple occasions and had to be returned by police more than once.

Margera's sobriety became a professional issue when his addiction led to him being dropped from the most recent Jackass movie. He ended up suing the producers of Jackass Forever over the contract he was forced to sign, which required him to remain sober in order to appear. The unit was eventually settled out of court.

Things got so bad that Margera’s ex-wife cut off all contact with their son, following a viral video where he screamed at her over being able to see the boy. Now Margera has reportedly been given the chance to see his son, so he’ll be traveling from Texas to Los Angeles soon and plans to stop off in Las Vegas to take Mark Wahlberg up on his offer to connect. Wahlberg is one of many Hollywood stars who left L.A. for other cities, and now calls Sin City home.

Bam Margera is working while in Texas, involved in a film project as well as doing art. He’s also started skateboarding again, which was the talent that originally made his name. He credits all this, as well as a new girlfriend, for keeping him sober this long. Fans and friends certainly hope that he’s found the path that will keep him away from drinking. He’s certainly made the right start, but it will now require a lifetime of vigilance.

And to do so, Glover asked a good friend to reach out to the Viva La Bam star – AEW star Darby Allin: 

Given everything that’s transpired between the two in recent months, that’s certainly a solid first step to repairing their friendship. Reunions don’t typically happen overnight, especially when it comes to delicate situations like these. While I’m glad the MTV vet extended an olive branch, one really has to give credit to Darby Allin for being the real MVP here. He definitely didn’t have to go out of his way to send that message, but it’s so great that he did. Kudos to the TNT Championship winner for playing peacemaker following what’s been a somewhat uneasy time for two former co-stars.

Bam Margera notably filed suit against his colleagues a few years ago after he was removed from Jackass Forever after reportedly failing a drug test. In the aftermath, Steve-O stated that his relationship with Margera was still sturdy and proved that by taking him on tour with him. The former clown hoped to give his buddy an outlet while he attempted to achieve sobriety. Months later though, Margera took shots at his buddy in a diss track that he dropped and, shortly after, he took more shots at Steve-O by criticizing his skateboarding skills. This eventually led to a back-and-forth between the pair that persisted for a few weeks. 

Despite all of that, it sounds like the A Hard Kick in the Nuts author is prepared to bury the hatchet, and he continues to root for his old buddy. So it should come as no surprise that after he spoke about how the AEW veteran sent the message, he revealed a positive update the wrestler shared with him:

Steve-O showed a significant amount of concern for Bam Margera over this past year. He even penned a (since-deleted) emotional message on Instagram, in which he opined that his friend was “dying.” His situation has been looking better in recent weeks, though, as Margera has not only been open about his struggles but also how he’s received help with his sobriety journey. One can only hope that he continues to make progress on that front and that his bond with his former on-screen partner improves. We’ll see how that all pans out as time goes on and whether Darby Allin continues to play middleman for them as well.

Bam Margera claims he’s been sober for a while now, seemingly with a new perspective on substance issues. And he’s giving a lot of credit to his new girlfriend Dannii Marie for helping him get physically healthy. 

Back in late September, Margera revealed he was one month sober, and seemingly wasn’t using a program like AA in order to find clarity. Since then he has been focused on being reunited with his son; Bam has been in the midst of a custody battle for quite some time now. Later in that same IG video, he spoke about where things stand by sharing:

200 days is certainly a long time to be separated from one’s child, so it’s understandable that this might be causing Bam some distress. As previously mentioned, Margera has been fighting for custody rights for months now. But one assumes that publicly relapsing and recent arrests have impacted the ongoing legal situation. He spoke about his fraught relationship with ex Nikki Boyd, saying:

Indeed, there are generations of Jackass fans out there who are invested in what’s been happening to Bam Margera over the last few years. The comments section of his recent video includes plenty of messages of support, and folks being excited that he seems healthy nowadays. NeNe Leakes’ son, Bryson Bryant, was recently released from jail after he was caught with Fentanyl. Now, Lamar Odom is trying to help his friend out by reportedly offering her son treatment at one of his rehab centers, similar to how he offered a bed at his facilities to Bam Margera a few months ago.

The former NBA star launched Odom Recovery Group earlier in 2023, and it partnered with Vanity Wellness Center in Woodland Hills. According to Radar Online, he is friends with Leakes and he offered her son treatment at his facility. 

Lamar Odom is close friends with NeNe Leakes, and they starred in the BET reality show College Hill together in 2022. According to the article, the former basketball player hasn’t heard back from Leakes or her son, but he reportedly believes that his rehab center in California could benefit Bryson Bryant. 

Why Bryson Bryant Was Arrested 

Back in July, Bryson Bryant was taken into custody for drug possession, and on October 5 he was released from jail after posting a $6 thousand bond. He was arrested for possession of fentanyl and a misdemeanor for loitering and/or prowling. A few days after that he was also charged with “giving a false name, address, or birthdate to a law enforcement officer,” because he told officers that he was his younger brother Brentt during processing. 

Leakes’ son was sentenced to jail time because his “arrest triggered a probation violation in a separate criminal case,” per the article. Following his arrest, his mom explained that she felt “numb” about the situation. She also spoke out about Bryson’s struggle with addiction, saying:

Now, Odom has reportedly tried to help his friend's kid out by offering him a place at his rehab center. This isn’t the first time he has done something like this either, as he tried to help Bam Margera out in a similar way earlier this year.

Following Bam Margera’s arrest in April, Odom offered him a bed at his rehab center. It was reported that the basketball player understands what it’s like to struggle as a public figure and deal with addiction. After the Jackass cast member fled into the woods to avoid the cops, and turned himself in, the former Laker said “if he wants the help then I’m here for him.”

After that, it was reported that Odom visited Margera at the hospital, and in response to the rehabilitation offer, the Jackass star allegedly seemed keen on taking him up on it. It was also reported that he really wanted to get clean so he could be with his son. However, it was later explained that the skater-turned-reality star left rehab early to go to Las Vegas. 

Following the news that Bam Margera had left rehab, Odom commented on the situation, saying: 

Since then, Margera has said that rehab didn’t work for him, and he explained that he had been sober for over a month after meeting the “most phenomenal girl ever,” who gave him an ultimatum that if he didn’t stay sober, she’d leave. 

It would appear that Lamar Odom is trying to help out NeNe Leaks’ son in the same way he tried to assist Bam Margera. As this situation develops, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

 Days after Margera claimed 30 days of sobriety, which followed his most recent arrest for public intoxication, the 43-year-old made a pit stop at the Pennsylvania shop First Hand Tattoo, according to TMZ, where he paid respects to his fellow former MTV mainstay Spears in the form of a quote tattoo on his neck. Here’s what his new ink says: 

The tattoo is not actually referencing the subject matter of the 2000 single, although that would have been amusing, but rather the idea that he allowed others in his life to control his actions and his journey, in a way that’s not completely dissimilar to the conservatorship that Britney Spears dealt with for 13 years of her adult life. For Margera, the issue doesn’t revolve around conservators trying to control his finances, but rather friends and family aiming to keep him bouncing from one Florida rehab facility to another. 

Bam Margera spoke out about the tattoo’s meaning during the process of having it designed and inked, saying:

The “Florida shuffle” is indeed the shorthand phrasing for what happens to addicts and alcoholics living in the state who also happen to have stable health insurance, as they’re shifted from one place to the next, with each facility reaping the financial benefits of charging insurance companies. And while he’s not so direct with calling out who’s responsible in this particular instance, Margera is pointing the finger at his own interventionalist for allegedly finding a way to secure a financial gain from the skateboarder’s substance abuse.

As fans are probably aware, Spears was finally released from her conservatorship back in November 2021, after months of legal wrangling, and hasn’t exactly made amends with her father Jamie Spears for the role he played in all that. It’s more than likely that she will speak to that entire situation in full in her upcoming memoir The Woman in Me, which is due to hit shelves on October 24. Maybe Bam Margera will pick it up and give it a read, with or without the intention of getting some of the book’s quotes tattooed on his body. 

For what it’s worth, Margera also called himself “the Britney Spears of Jackass” earlier in 2023 while taking part in a comedy-centric stage tour with Steve-O. So this wasn’t just a sudden slice of inspiration for the celeb.

This latest update about Bam is a hopeful one, especially for those who have closely been following his struggles. Two months ago Margera was once again arrested for public intoxication. And those legal shakeups seem to have an effect on Bam’s ongoing custody battle with ex Nikki Boyd. As such, news about his sobriety is a welcomed change of pace for the public.

It should be interesting if being sober influenced the way Margera interacts with members of the Jackass franchise. Despite touring with Steve-O, it sounds like something soured between the two as Bam released a diss track full of lyrics about him and Johnny Knoxville. Various members of the Jackass crew have expressed concern about Bam, including Brandon Novak who has been sober for years. Hopefully the 43 year-old TV personality/skateboarder will continue on a healthier path.

In March, the Tony Hawk’s Project 8 veteran faced an arrest for public intoxication in Burbank during a heated dispute with his estranged spouse, Nicole Boyd, at a Thai restaurant. Further details of the arrest emerged, revealing the argument arose from the MTV vet's frustration over not being allowed to see their 5-year-old son, Phoenix, resulting in a loud confrontation. Reports also emerged about the Grind actor evading the police in the Pennsylvania woods just weeks after the restaurant altercation. Additionally, concerned friends and family organized an intervention in response to the events that transpired following the series of events but, unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful at the time.

The Haggard performer's most recent public intoxication arrest in August followed closely on the heels of him being ordered to stand trial for allegedly assaulting his brother, Jess Margera. To remain out on bail, he was required to undergo a drug and alcohol screening. 

Hopefully, Bam Margera can maintain his sobriety and steer clear of more controversies and legal troubles. He seems eager to return to a positive spotlight, and one hopes this marks the start of a better chapter for him.

Let it never be said that the cast of Jackass have not led interesting lives. While Bam Margera has continued to be in the headlines for a host of reasons, most of them not great, Steve-O is still out there doing his own thing. He’s currently on tour and he’s celebrating his final shows in Florida by showing off his collection of Florida mugshots, like you do.

Steve-O is getting ready for the final four shows of his Bucket List tour and advertised them on Instagram by showing off mugshots of the four times he was arrested in the state. I don’t know just what he was up to each time, but I really appreciate mugshot number three. In the other ones he’s trying to look like he doesn’t really care he got arrested, but in that one, there’s a clear “yeah, here we are again” sort of vibe that I appreciate.

When you look at actual mugshots you tend to see expressions like the other three of these, an attempt to convey that it's no big deal that you just got arrested. The other possibility is a look of fear as you realize you have been arrested and you don't know what's going to happen next. That's why the other image is so perfect. He's not trying to make it look like this is no big deal. You can see that he actually doesn't feel like it's a big deal. He can't be bothered to even pretend like he's a tough guy.

It says something about the life and times of Steve-O that while there are records of him being arrested for a variety of interesting offenses literally all over the world, I have no idea what he did any of the four times he was arrested in Florida. I found a suggestion that at least one of these is from a DUI, and Steve-O has a known history of substance abuse, but only the Jackass icon knows for sure.

I suppose it shouldn’t be too big a shock that a bunch of guys who have a willingness to put their bodies at risk regularly might occasionally end up on the wrong side of the law. Steve-O's Jackass stunts are worthy of a highlight reel all their own. As mentioned, his most noteworthy arrests, and there are several, don’t even cover whatever he got up to in Florida, so the guy has been arrested many, many…many times in his life.

A lot of it was drug-related, leading to Steve-O entering rehab back in 2008. His only major run-in with the law since then was as part of an anti-SeaWorld protest, Steve-O is a major animal rights advocate, in 2015.  climbed a construction crane during the protest, which he apparently did completely sober, which is perhaps even more impressive.

If these were all “under the influence” arrests, as seems quite possible then Steve-O should be going back to Florida without likely getting arrested again. He has reportedly maintained his sobriety since his time in rehab, a fact which unfortunately has not influenced his Jackass co-star Bam Margera. Still, it may lead to some funny stories when he returns to Florida on his tour. 

The ongoing feud between Bam Margera and his former Jackass colleagues took a musical turn over the summer, as Margera dropped a diss track that stirred up even more tension. Within this fiery musical salvo, one of the individuals squarely in the crosshairs of Margera's verbal jabs is none other than Steve-O, whose skateboarding prowess becomes a central point of contention. Following an exchange of barbs and insults between the former collaborators, Steve-O provided an update on the two’s relationship.

The stuntman was asked about the present state of his connection with Margera during an interview with Insider. Instead of fueling the ongoing public feud, he offered a composed response to the publication, stating:

His worries prompted him to take steps to help his friend's sobriety by including him on his Bucket List Tour. While they returned to the big screen in Jackass Forever, Bam Margera was noticeably absent. The skateboarder/TV personality has had a number of controversies in the past few years, including arrests and legal shakeups. He's been having a custody battle with his ex Nikki Boyd, after being unable to see his son. And following Bam's latest public intoxication arrest, he's gotten some bad news related to custody of his son Phoenix. 

It's already been months of Bam Margera and Nikki Boyd battling in court over custody, with the Jackass alum claiming he hasn't seen him in months. And according to legal documents acquired by TMZ, Boyd is getting sole custody for the foreseeable future. What's more, the only way he'll be able to see Phoenix is reportedly through FaceTime. 

This ruling reportedly came down Tuesday, which was the day before he was arrested for public intoxication. Prior to this Bam was reportedly sober, and looking to fight his ex in court for custody. But given his latest arrest, that seemingly is no longer true. 

Those who have been following the Viva La Bam star's controversies will know this was not his first charge for public intoxication. Margera was arrested back in March for the same charge, with Nikki Boyd and their son reportedly present as it occurred. This raised the stakes of their custody battle, and he seemingly hasn't seen his son since that incident. 

In addition to his custody battle with Nikki Boyd, Bam Margera has also been clashing with a few of his Jackass co-stars. Bam put out a diss track taking digs at the likes of Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O. The latter was somewhat surprising to fans, as Steve-O previously brought Margera on tour and tried to help encourage his sobriety. Unfortunately, it seems that things have gone sour, even prior to Margera's reported relapse and arrest. 

It remains to be seen how Margera's latest arrest influences his various legal issues. Just this month he claimed that inpatient rehab facilities didn't for him. Bam was crediting Lamar Odom's rehabs with getting him sober, while not needing to stay in a facility for an extended period of time. We'll see if he's ordered to attend another one of these programs, and if he stays there. After all, Margera previously escaped rehab and went missing for days at a time. 

Hopefully Bam Margera can get the help he needs, and can avoid further controversies and arrests. Clearly he misses his son quite a bit, but now custody is an issue that's up to the legal system.

He’s had several notable run-ins with the law in just the past months and, in addition to his arrests, the star has also been in a custody battle with his wife. Lately, Margera has been beefing with some of his former co-stars and has taken shots at them on multiple occasions. Now, amid that drama, the entertainer has been arrested once again due to another reported instance of public intoxication. 

The 43-year-old Viva La Bam star was reportedly taken into custody on the night of Tuesday, August 8, while he was in Radnor Township, a suburban area within Philadelphia. A source tells local news affiliate NBC10 that the reality TV veteran was drunk and disorderly while at the Radnor Hotel. He’s reportedly set to be released from jail sometime today and will be issued a citation. As of this writing, it’s unclear as to how long the entertainer – who’s been traveling around since exiting rehab in June – had been in Pennsylvania. 

As previously alluded to, this isn’t the first time Bam Margera has faced this particular charge, as he was arrested for misdemeanor public intoxication this past March. Margera was, at the time, in Burbank, where he was engaged in a heated argument with a woman at a Thai restaurant. More details on the arrest emerged, and the lady involved was revealed to be his estranged spouse, Nicole Boyd. Margera was allegedly upset over Boyd not allowing him to see their 5-year-old son, Phoenix, which prompted him to stomp and shout. Reports later pointed to Margera having been kicked out of a hotel ahead of that confrontation.

The noted skateboarder has been at the center of other strenuous situations since that ordeal. He reportedly fled the cops in the woods of Pennsylvania only weeks after the restaurant incident. Sources later alleged that his loved ones held an intervention in the aftermath of that March arrest.

Speaking of people who’ve been in the star’s orbit, Steve-O had taken the embattled star on tour with him before the Burbank situation occurred. The Bam's World Domination star eventually broke off, though. His longtime friend, whose full name is Stephen Glover, would later express concern for him through an emotional post. The past few weeks have seen Bam Margera take shots at his old buddies, with the help of a diss track. Margera criticized Glover, Johnny Knoxville, Jeff Tremaine and more. After his skating skills were critiqued, Glover went back and forth with Margera over his blunt sentiments.

In June, social media posts surfaced, which showed Bam Margera dissing Johnny Knoxville while recording a track in a studio. It now seems that a song has been formally released and, while it doesn’t appear to be the exact tune that Margera was prepping, it’s no less explicit. The famed skateboarder teamed up with hip hop artists Cult Shotta and Tanboymiguel to produce the new single after reportedly meeting up with them in Los Angeles. This track, titled “Feels Like Bam,” calls out a number of the famed franchise’s alums, including Knoxville, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña and Jeff Tremaine. TMZ offered up an exclusive first look at the music video for the song, in which one can hear the Viva La Bam star’s jabs at his former collaborators. The footage also shows him engaging in PDA with his alleged new girlfriend among other acts. Through the lyrics, the entertainer challenges the Dukes of Hazzard alum to a fight and implores him to “step in the ring, pussy.” On top of that, he accuses the actor of revving up a motorcycle in his house on one occasion. He later calls out Jeff Tremaine, referring to him as a “greedy, fat fucking pussy” who “made us sign a contract that everyone can get hurt except him.” The father of one also says, “I love Steve-O big time” but criticized his skateboarding skills. To put a stamp on his feelings, the amateur rapper said, “man, fuck ‘em all.”

Bam Margera’s new song furthers the idea that his co-stars ruined his career due to their extreme antics on and off camera. That hasn’t been the main source of bad blood amongst the group during the past few years, however. In 2021, it was revealed that Margera had been dropped from 2022’s Jackass Forever after testing positive for Adderall. Margera filed suit against the creative team, including Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine. The site doesn’t share specific details regarding what this means for the skateboarder’s visitation rights moving forward. However, it’s likely that this could have a positive impact on his campaign to re-establish a relationship with Phoenix. The road to a physical meet-up between father and son has been long and, despite this latest development, there are still other hurdles to consider. 

From the outside looking in, Bam Margera and Nicole Boyd’s legal situation has been contentious, to say the least. Boyd, who reportedly married her estranged husband in 2013, filed for sole custody of her and Margera’s son in September 2021. She’d file for separation in February 2023, citing erratic behavior on Margera’s part. Around that same time, the star himself said he was “disappointed” over the public comments his spouse had made about his parenting. The following month, Boyd hit back through her attorney, saying that Margera left her and Phoenix with no support.

However, her team clapped back, saying that the pair’s Icelandic ceremony was legal and that they lived together as a couple in the U.S. for years. On top of all this, his ex is suing him for child support and is allegedly asking for $15k per month. 

In spite of all the drama, it seemed as though the bad blood was starting to subside during Bam Margera’s latest rehab stint. Nicole Boyd allowed Margera to see their son amid his stay, with the father and son keeping in touch using court-approved FaceTimes. Those interactions were all supervised and, per reports, they were going smoothly.

While those conversations and the recently completed parenting class could certainly bode well for Bam Margera, there are still sure to be legal hurdles he’ll have to cross in the interim. One can only hope that he and Nicole Boyd are able to work out their grievances and create an ideal parenting situation for their son, whatever the arrangement may be.

Glover expressed his desire for his friend to get help while sharing thoughts on his actions:

The bad blood between the star and Boyd did seem to subside while he was in rehab, and he was even having Zoom chats with their son. However, now that he’s out of the facility, it’s unclear where things stand on that front.

Margera has made numerous headlines lately duke to his personal issues, from his ex cutting off contact with their son after a screaming incident went viral to Margera being placed on psychiatric hold. Along the way, Odom reached out to Margera and offered him help, specifically in the form of a spot at one of his rehab centers. And Margera took him up on the offer… only now, it appears that Margera has left the facility, and Odom is concerned. 

Lamar Odom has spoken out to TMZ about Bam Margera’s situation, especially after the Jackass star turned himself over to authorities. Odom immediately wondered if Margera had God in his life, though the TMZ reporter didn’t have an answer to that question. In that earlier video, Odom said the facility is waiting for Bam, just so long as he shows up. But now there has been a report that Margera left the San Diego rehab facility early, and Odom is expressing concerns over the people who are influencing the Jackass star.

News came out that after Bam Margera left Lamar Odom’s treatment facility in San Diego, he headed to Las Vegas, thereby sparking a number of Odom’s concerns. This is not the first time that Margera has checked into a rehabilitation facility to seek treatment, only to quickly depart. In 2022, Margera went missing after leaving a rehab center in Florida. He eventually was found and returned to the rehab center, only to leave the facility again. 

In the TMZ article, Lamar Odom goes on to recommend a method that Margera’s loved ones can possibly use to lure the former skater back, and that’s his son, Phoenix. While this isn’t the safest method, as Margera has stated that he’d be willing to smoke crack until his son wa returned to him. All of this comes on the heels of Margera being arrested for domestic violence accusations, getting himself a face tattoo, and constantly feuding with Jackass lead Johnny Knoxville. 

If Bam Margera follows his most recent patterns, he will return from Las Vegas and return, as well, to Lamar Odom, who has made it clear he is willing to help Margera, so long as the former skater wants to be helped. According to the TMZ article, which remains open-ended, Odom has said that he will start the process of reaching out to Margera and helping to find him. The NBA star and former husband to Khloe Kardashian says that he personally understands the struggle to stay sober.

The producer’s video post was shared to his Instagram story (and captured by UNILAD). A caption also appears at the beginning of the clip and simply says, “Bam Margera going crazy.”

While the post was still live, a number of fans weighed in on it, expressing concern for the Viva La Bam alum’s mental health, as mentioned by UNILAD. The site quoted one user from Reddit, who said “honestly breaks my heart to see this.” And another stated that “he needs better friends.” A third person provided even more detailed thoughts aimed at ZVBBV. The social media user said “hopefully you don't take advantage of this dude and let those around him take advantage him.” In response, the music producer said:

But, according to an unnamed source, he decided not to complete the program and left on Monday. 

According to TMZ, despite Lamar Odom's best efforts to convince him to return and finish treatment at his personal Wellness Treatment Centers, Bam Margera agreed to stay at the athlete's home in Calabasas for the week. The source told the outlet that the 43-year-old star left Thursday and allegedly told friends he was planning a weekend trip to Las Vegas.

Following his departure from the former Los Angeles Laker's residence, the CKY star was spotted dining at the renowned Nobu in Malibu on Thursday, accompanied by a friend. Though at this point, it's unclear who'll be joining him on his reported Vegas excursion. This sudden change in direction is a surprise, considering the 43-year-old celeb had initiated the detox process on June 7 after being placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold by the authorities. 

The hold came shortly after the star went missing and was featured video rant, in which he threatened to indulge in drug use until his demise or until he saw his son, Phoenix, alleging that his ex had cut off contact. The MTV alum has consistently cited his son as the primary motivation for his sobriety journey, and his estranged wife, Nikki Boyd, recently allowed them to reconnect through FaceTime calls. Nevertheless, it appears that he's set on making the trip to Las Vegas.

TMZ notes that the 43-year-old entertainer is now in rehab and, apparently, he’s making progress when it comes to reconnecting with his family. Nicole Boyd’s lawyer, David Glass, tells the news outlet his client has granted Bam Margera the right to speak with their son, Phoenix. Per Glass, the father of one has participated in FaceTimes with his boy while in rehab, and things are apparently going well thus far. The two aren’t alone when these happen, however, as a therapist reportedly oversees them. 

With everything the former couple has been through recently, this is definitely a major step forward. Nicole Boyd has been real about her ex’s sobriety struggles and their apparent impact on their relationship and son. Earlier this year, Boyd also accused the star of not helping with their son, financially, leading her to sue him for child support. Court documents revealed that she was seeking $15,000 per month from the reality TV veteran. She eventually cut off contact between him and his son after a viral screaming incident involving her estranged spouse. 

Bam Margera has made attempts to fight back against the divorce. He first claimed that he and his wife, who he tied the knot with back in 2013, were never legally married. Boyd’s lawyer David Glass recently spoke to TMZ about their ongoing legal issues, and claimed that he’s been sending her a number of mean-spirited texts since his psychiatric hold ended. It looks like the saga of this former couple has picked up where it left off. They pair have been clashing for some time, and Nikki Boyd is suing Bam Margera for child support in the form of $15k per month. And it sounds like the courts might have to decide, if these reports of their text communication are any indication. 

Of course, Margera’s team has also responded to this latest update. His lawyers have been making moves of their own, including claiming that Bam and Boyd were never legally married, despite their 2013 wedding. The reality TV personality's lawyer Peter Thompson also spoke to TMZ, and seemed to indicate his client’s emotional reaction was due to the child support case. He was quoted, saying:

There’s clearly a discrepancy between the former couple about child support and custody. While Boyd has claimed that Bam has left them without anything, his lawyers indicate he is supporting them. Add in his other legal and mental health issues and it becomes a complicated situation.

Lamar Odom previously reached out to the MTV alum back in April following one of the latter’s more recent arrests. The two-time NBA champion, at the time, stated that “if his problem is alcohol and drugs,” he’d have no problem offering the stuntman a bed. Bam Margera eventually responded to Odom, saying that he wanted help. Though the back-and-forth seemingly didn’t go any further than that at the time. 

Following the Viva La Bam star’s latest unfortunate incident, the sports veteran seems even more keen on providing assistance. The Khloé & Lamar star, who’s had his experiences with addiction, went to see the famed skateboarder while he was in the hospital, per insiders for TMZ. The news outlet claims that the troubled media personality seemed keen on accepting the proposition, and the two men apparently embraced for a hug. What’s more, this time around, he apparently mentioned that he really wants to get clean so that he can see his son, Phoenix.

So having now moved past his hang-ups, Odom seems set on giving back and helping others who are in the position he was once in. 

This marks the second time that Bam Margera has been mentioned in the same breath as the Los Angeles Lakers veteran. Margera was offered a bed at his new facility, with the former husband of Khloé Kardashian saying that he would “reach out [his] hand” to the stuntman at this time. Margera reached back out to him and said that he does want “help,” though he didn’t admit himself to the center after that. 

The star has had various stints in rehab over the past few years and, in some cases, he even departed the locations of his own accord and was dubbed missing. Just about every time that happened, he was eventually found and returned to said facility. It can’t be said for sure if he'll indeed take up residence at one of Lamar Odom’s wellness centers. As mentioned, Margera made some alarming statements over the past week, even threatening to smoke crack until he died in one social media post. In that same update, he also blamed his ex’s family for his drinking problem, and the message garnered a counter argument from Nikki Boyd’s lawyer. He’s also said to have made disturbing calls to his loved ones while he was missing in April.

The Viva La Bam star has been in and out of rehab over the past year. He was at a facility in Florida when he went missing in June 2022 and, less than two weeks later, he disappeared again only to be returned to the center shortly after. Aside from his frequent stints in wellness centers, he’s also dealt with a number of health issues. He was reported to be in the hospital and on a ventilator after contracting COVID-19 in December 2022. The star would later admit that at one point, he was “declared dead.”

Their mother, April, spoke out around that same time, saying that Bam’s family members love him and “are not against him" but "just want to try to get him help."

Recently, she filed legal documents seeking sole physical and legal custody of their kid, accompanied by a request for $15,000 per month in child support. According to the filing, visitation would only be considered under supervised conditions and contingent upon completing drug and alcohol rehab programs. However, the TV and movie star's reaction to the situation has been explosive, and he's been demanding access to his son.

Apart from the ongoing custody battle, Bam Margera is entangled in a feud with his brother, Jess Margera. Jess accused Bam of making threatening calls, engaging in harassment, and physically assaulting him at his residence in Pennsylvania. As a result, Bam has been prohibited from entering the property. As we wrap up May, Margera is now demanding wants his divorce to be dismissed and claims that his estranged wife won’t let him see his son.

As reported by TMZ, Margera’s legal team has filed documents requesting that a judge set an earlier court date for his and Boyd’s divorce, as he doesn’t want to wait until July 11 to get this issue settled. Furthermore, he wants this judge to intervene and allow him to spend time with his and Boyd’s son together, Phoenix. Boyd responded with her own legal documents claiming that she’s abiding by the custody orders, and that nothing’s preventing Margera from seeing Phoenix so long as he’s in California and not under the influence. Boyd’s attorney, David Glass, had this to say on the matter:

After first being married to Missy Rothstein from 2007 to 2012, Bam Margera married Nikki Boyd in 2013, but but by September 2021, they separated, and Boyd filed for custody of their son. Then this past February, Boyd filed for separation, saying that his sobriety struggles and once visiting Phoenix while under the influence was the last straw for their relationship. Additionally, Boyd claimed in March that Margera had left her and Phoenix without any financial support, and in late March, he was arrested for public intoxication after causing a scene at a Thai restaurant where his estranged wife and son were eating. By late April, Margera said he’d sworn off drinking for the sake of his son, as well as tested clean for meth.

While it’s unclear if the judge will rule in Margera or Boyd’s favor as far as moving the hearing date up, it does seem like this chapter of their lives is reaching a critical juncture. As far as Margera’s claim that their wedding wasn’t “legal,” he alleges that the paperwork was never filed, though David Glass claims that either way the marriage argument goes, Boyd has been at least a “putative spouse.” We’ll keep you apprised of how this custody dispute shapes out.

While Margera previously went missing after fleeing rehab, this latest incident has even his loved ones concerned. A new report by TMZ claims that he’s had a number of phone calls with his family, where he’s blaming them for his current woes. 

This report comes from an unnamed source who is reportedly close to Bam and his family. And given how Margera’s brother has been tweeting about his apparent meth use, it certainly seems like his loved ones are concerned. According to this source, he’s been calling the family while intoxicated, reportedly telling them he hates them for putting him in a treatment center last year. Unfortunately, he’s refused to share his location during these calls, so no one is really sure where he is… or if he’s still in the state of Pennsylvania.

Just one day after his mother, April Margera, spoke about wanting to help her son, his brother Jess is tweeting about Bam's meth addiction. 

Bam Margera is currently wanted in the state of Pennsylvania after fleeing into the woods, reportedly to avoid authorities. The police were called on the skateboarder after Jess Margera claimed that his brother threatened, harassed, and assaulted him. Based on what Jess posted in his tweets on April 26, he seems more concerned for Bam's safety and the safety of those with him than about what he himself went through.  

In a Twitter response to a fan sending love and well-wishes, Jess Margera wrote:

Jess Margera's tweet provides a firsthand account of what his brother has gone through due to his meth addiction, including "hallucinating." At the time of writing, Bam Margera has been missing for multiple days after reportedly fleeing into the woods on Sunday, April 23. The incident happened after his loved ones tried to stage an intervention. 

And according to Jess Margera, the situation may not be dangerous for just his brother, as he shared on Twitter that Bam isn't alone on the run. Jess stated that Bam's girlfriend and her young daughter are with him as well, writing: 

Jess Margera is evidently concerned for the 8-year-old daughter of Bam's girlfriend as well as his brother. On Twitter, a fan responded to this tweet by saying that they thought the girl had been left with April Margera, to which Jess responded that "pretty much most of the reporting has been inaccurate" and "Unfortunately that's a normal thing now."

Given that the whole Twitter thread started after Jess Margera expressed his frustration that the authorities haven't been able to track his brother's girlfriend's phone, it's appears that the family is in a difficult position while waiting for news. 

Jess hasn't shared any further updates at this point, but hopefully the Margera family will get some good news sooner rather than later. This isn't the first time that the Jackass alum has been missing, after he left rehab back in 2022. For now, it's just a matter of waiting for further developments.
