Now, insiders have made claims about how her celebrity status has been impacted by the notion that she and the pop star have grown apart.

Based on what these sources are saying, it seems like Lively can’t get the VIP access she once had because of all this. However, she’s still a celebrity, and according to this insider, she’ll allegedly still be able to use her status to get celebrity treatment; she just might not get the exclusive treatment she got with Swift by her side:

The report notes that Lively has not been denied access to events. In fact, she was at the World Cup Final, and she attended the Met Gala earlier this spring. As it stands, Lively is seeking more than $8 million in legal fee compensation much to the chagrin of Baldoni’s attorneys, who referred to the requests as “excessive” in a recent filing.

As Baldoni continues to contend with legal hurdles, it’s been alleged that his “focus” is on Emily and their two kids – Maiya Grace (11) and Maxwell Roland-Samuel (7). The Baldonis have since moved from Ojai, California to Nashville, Tennessee. As for whether Justin will speak out again, the source said, “Honestly, time will tell.” Yet they also said they “think he’s just definitely ready to start moving on with his life.”

After all that’s happened between Taylor Swift and Blake Lively — including the alleged text threats during Lively’s legal battle and their exchanges becoming like a “mass corporate email sent to 200 employees” — it was really not a shock that the Gossip Girl star and Ryan Reynolds didn’t receive invitations to the celebrity wedding of the year. While Blake Lively allegedly feels like the situation has come to an end and doesn't want to respond to Justin Baldoni’s video, her spouse supposedly feels differently. Another source made this claim about Ryan Reynolds:

He went on to say that they’re “healing,” and that process “looks different every day.” They also spoke about prioritizing their family, friends and faith, and thanked people who supported them through the last couple of years. Emily also noted that there’s “more to say.”

In response, the video accumulated over 27 thousand comments, two of which came from Justin’s friends and former co-stars.

Lively is specifically asking for $7,495,526.87 as far as legal fees are concerned and $539,514.01 to cover the litigation expenses. As of this writing, neither Baldoni nor his legal team have responded to this formal request. Lively’s team, meanwhile, has also laid out its rationale for how they arrived at this particular financial figure.

Per the legal docs obtained by People, Team Lively reasoned that the amount of work needed to combat Baldoni’s lawsuit was “comprehensive and necessary to achieve the complete win that was secured.” They also argue that the notoriety of the case also contributed to an increase in costs. In their filing, Lively’s attorneys mention “significant press attention, with thousands of indexed and syndicated media articles.” They also bring up 7,000 documents produced between Lively, Baldoni’s Wayfarer Studios and others.

One additional point that’s alleged within the filing is that Lively “has paid, and continues to pay.” That assertion notably comes months after the Rhythm Section actress claimed she’d lost more than $160 million due to paying legal fees. Also, before that, insiders alleged that both she and Baldoni had put a considerable amount of money and time into their legal skirmish.

This filing from Blake Lively and co. comes not quite two weeks after Judge Lewis J. Liman ruled in her favor for the attorneys’ fees. Judge Liman awarded that money under a California statute designed to protect those who make claims of sexual harassment or discrimination for retaliatory lawsuits. After the decision came down, Michael Gottlieb and Esra Hudson – Lively’s lawyers – said they and their client felt “gratified” and said the “ruling makes it clear that Ms. Lively brought her claims in good faith” and not with “malice.”

However, Justin Baldoni’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, argued that despite that legal victory, Lively and co. had “failed.” Freedman asserted that “Lively was only awarded limited attorney fees for a single claim as part of a case that lasted only a matter of months, nothing more.” When referencing the harassment charges and other claims Lively leveled against Baldoni, Freedman declared that there was “no sexual harassment,” “no retaliation” and “no smear campaign,” as alleged by the other party.

So, as legal experts predicted weeks ago, it would seem the Lively/Baldoni legal saga isn’t over. Baldoni and his camp have now been ordered to provide a formal response to Lively’s legal filing by July 13. Only after that follow-up is submitted will Judge Liman decide if Lively is entitled to the total amount of money she’s seeking.

As of right now, the public isn’t privy to the details regarding how much money Baldoni will have to play Lively. Regardless of that, based on Freedman’s comments, he appears to be pleased with how the settlement turned out.

It was sometime after that five different contractors filed mechanic's liens in reference to the property. The plaintiffs accused the parents of four of not paying for a variety of services and materials, including structural steel fabrication for the main house and accessory buildings and rough carpentry as well as custom copper roofing and drainage system.

As of this writing, neither representatives nor lawyers for Reynolds and Lively have yet to publicly acknowledge the situation or the distribution of the $2 million in wages. Those payments come on the heels of the couple allegedly spending a lot of money on legal matters for Lively’s case. During that case, Lively alleged that she’d lost millions and, after she and Justin Baldoni reached their initial settlement, she pursued damages and legal fees. Lively was eventually awarded the attorney’s fees but not the damages.

It’s been reported that, at this point, the Another Simple Favor star is looking to move past the situation and continue with her career. Sources have alleged that Lively wants to make some major career moves, and she’s currently set to star in the Lionsgate film The Survival List. Simultaneously, industry veterans have also been weighing in on career prospects for Lively (and Baldoni) post-settlement.

A judge ultimately ruled that Lively was entitled to the legal fees but not the damages, though the actress’ reps still touted that as a win on their part. Now, legal experts are sharing their takes on why this ruling doesn’t conclude their case.

Jordan Matthews – an entertainment attorney for Holtz Matthews LLP – recently discussed the Baldoni/Lively situation and shared his thoughts on the recent ruling. It’s Matthew’s contention that Lively “is the clear winner with the court's recent ruling, holding that she is entitled to attorney's fees and that her Section 47.1 privilege applies.” That’s due to the fact that the ruling is derived from the $400 million defamation suit that Baldoni filed against Lively, which the court viewed as “retaliatory.” However, Matthews also says this:

Baldoni and Lively’s dispute began back in December 2024 when she filed a complaint against him over alleged sexual harassment on the set of It Ends with Us and a supposed PR smear campaign. In time, both actors filed dueling lawsuits and leveled various claims against each other. Lively saw a win in 2025 when Baldoni’s case was tossed, while he saw a victory when 10 of her 13 claims were dismissed ahead of their planned May trial date. The answer to that question may or may not simply be a matter of perspective from a legal standpoint. More practically, though, it’s been said that actors’ lawyers are the real winners of the case. That figure seemingly lends credibility to the claims about the stars sinking a lot of time and money into the case.

Per RadarOnline, Judge Lewis Liman scheduled the hearing in an attempt to resolve the matter of Lively’s claims about damages and fees from Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, which was also involved in the original suit.

Judge Liman reportedly wants both Baldoni and Lively’s teams to also consider several elements of the case that will apparently help him determine whether the Age of Adaline actress is owed the money. One component that Liman brings up in the notice is that both sides must determine if different standards are in play when someone is trying to get punitive damages, treble damages and attorneys’ fees. There’s also the matter of which side possesses the burden of proof (or the responsibility to provide the necessary evidence).

The judge’s order was formally filed on May 28, and both sides were given until May 31 to submit letter briefs ahead of giving oral arguments in court. RadarOnline surmises that the quick turnaround with this situation could indicate that the judge wants to clear up this situation sooner rather than later.

While fans have been wondering where Colbert stands with the network post-cancellation, another question fans are asking is why the Deadpool star attended alone, rather than both Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds going as a pair. This latest situation involves the compound Lively and Reynolds own in upstate New York. It was in 2018 that the celebrity couple purchased the 110-acre estate and subsequently commissioned a major construction project that apparently halted around December 2025 or January 2026. According to Daily Mail, though, the two are now facing five separate legal filings from contractors and subcontractors, who’ve specifically filed mechanic's liens against their property.

Per legal documents, those supposedly unpaid wages amount to $2,108,856.63. It would appear that the biggest claim amongst these filings comes from FlowCon Inc., which was doing business under the moniker of Flower Construction. The company reportedly filed a $1,356,157.54 lien after being tapped to complete services like electrical work, plumbing, drywall, masonry, millwork, painting, waterproofing and HVAC systems.

The claims from the other contractors apparently cover a swath of services that supposedly haven’t been paid for. Said tasks include rough carpentry and trim installation as well as structural steel fabrication for the main house and accessory buildings and custom copper roofing and drainage systems. It’s worth noting that the records included no satisfactions, releases or lien discharge filings. Representatives for the contractors have also not spoken out as of this writing, and reps for Lively and Reynolds haven’t either.

What remains are "Lively’s breach of contract claim and a FEHA retaliation claim against Baldoni’s company Wayfarer Studios." So while the It Ends With Us saga hasn't ended, this is seemingly a major victory for the movie's director.

While the lawsuit hasn't been dropped altogether, Justin Baldoni is now facing far fewer claims. We'll have to see if the last few end up sticking, or if all of the claims end up being scrapped. His lawyers' statement continues, reading:

For her part, Blake Lively's own lawyers recently reacted to this legal twist. They told people that the sexual harassment claim "isn’t going forward not because the defendants did nothing wrong but because the court determined Blake Lively was an independent contractor, not an employee." They seem to think this is a technicality and doesn't take away from her claims about his behavior on set.

Of course, Lively has had a few legal victories during this experience as well. A judge previously dismissed Baldoni's libel lawsuit against Lively and Ryan Reynolds. So both parties have taken their lumps.

It should be fascinating to see how this all shakes out, especially when the two celebrities meet in court. The trial is currently set to begin May 18th, with both Baldoni and Lively expected to testify.

To be more specific, Judge Liman said her sexual harassment claims did not hold water under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, a lawthat aims to prevent employment discrimination on various grounds, including gender, per CBS News. Liman said while Lively’s claims regarding Baldoni had to be viewed in the context of the movie they were working on, and in It Ends With Us her co-star was “acting in the scene.” As he also wrote:

Baldoni’s team has reacted at the ruling by sharing they are “grateful to the court” and “look forward” to presenting their defense at the upcoming trial date. Along with Lively’s claims, Baldoni also launched a $400 million countersuit against Lively and Reynolds, but was tossed out in June. Lively and Baldoni’s trial date is set for May 18, but legal experts have weighed in on it possibly being settled before then.

In the interim, both actors don’t have any known TV shows or upcoming 2026 movies on the way. There’s been a lot of talk about how the lawsuits have and will affect their careers, or things like Blake Lively being invited to Taylor Swift’s wedding. With their trial date a month and some change away, we’ll have to wait and see how the long-running It Ends With Us drama will conclude.

When It Ends With Us hit theaters in 2024, it was a big commercial success, earning $351 million worldwide against a reported production budget of $25 million. Now, their trial is approaching, and legal experts are weighing in about whether a settlement is possible before they get to the courtroom.

On February 11, Baldoni and Lively appeared in federal court for court-ordered mediation. According to the actor/director’s lawyer, Bryan Freedman, it was “unsuccessful,” and no deals were reached.
