I’m sure we’ve all experienced embarrassing moments over the holidays that we wish we could take back, or have that one thing that our family members never let us forget. Unlike celebrities like Camila Cabello, however, for most of us those things don’t happen on camera at the White House. The former coach of The Voice posted a holiday TikTok that recalled her infamous 2022 “Quismois” incident, and fans had a blast in the comments.

Three years ago, Camila Cabello was invited to sing “I’ll Be Home for Christmas” in the Grand Foyer of the White House as part of the Spirit of the Season celebration that aired on PBS. She quickly went viral, thanks to her pronunciation of the word “Christmas” at about 45 seconds into the video below:

Apparently this clip returns like the Ghost of Christmas Past each year to haunt Camila Cabello, which she joked about in a TikTok post that included the caption, “December is a triggering time for me.” Check it out below:

I have to imagine that Christmas for Camila Cabello is like the end of April for Justin Timberlake. She may not be able to avoid all the “Quismois” memes, but could it even be comparable to how the *NSYNC star feels about all of the “It’s Gonna Be May” memes? (You guys, the producers TOLD him to pronounce it as “May,” OK?)

The “Señorita” artist may be feeling triggered for one-twelfth of the year, but her fans are fully here for “Quismois,” and they took to the comments of her Christmas TikTok to share their love and support, writing things like:

I honestly understand how upsetting it could be to feel like everyone is making fun of you for how you pronounce something. Especially musically, where enunciation isn’t a top priority for many artists, and especially for a moment as big as the White House Christmas special.

However, I’m in agreement with these fans — Camila Cabello should own the moment! Put out merch, make your own memes, hell, take that one fan’s suggestion and put out a whole Quismois album.

And hey, at least the performance of the song itself isn’t deemed so bad that it has to be remixed with hip-hop songs to make it better.

Camila Cabello released her fourth solo studio album, C,XOXO, in 2024 and after a “digital detox,” she said on Instagram that she looks forward to creating music with a refreshed mindset. So, fingers crossed for that Quismois song!

Following Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes were seen kissing and making up at Coachella last year before calling it quits again, the singer and Trolls Band Together cast member is in her single era. After photos of Cabello with Drake previously caused a stir online back in December, Cabello cleared them up on the Call Her Daddy podcast amidst the host doing a clever nod to the rapper’s alleged nude photo leak. 

When Cabello drank wine and spilled the tea with host Alexandra Cooper on a recent episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast, the host asked the singer point blank about her time hanging out with Drake a few months back. While giving Cabello the space to share why she was jet skiing with the rapper in Turks and Caicos, Cooper nodded to Drake recently going viral for alleged leaks by saying “the internet really loved him recently.” Cabello laughed off the joke, saying back “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” 

Then, when Cabello was probed about whether the two artists ever had a “thing,” here’s what she had to say:

Drake, who was recently reimagined by AI into a Disney character, is a musical hero of Camila Cabello’s and while she was making her new album she decided to hit him up to show him what she had been working on. As it turns out, he had positive feedback for the singer, and they decided to mix in some fun in between talking shop. Honestly though, what is Camila Cabello’s life? The fact that she got to casually DM one of the biggest rappers of our time and it ended in some fun vacation time is rather wild! 

Along with Cabello working on a new album, she was recently one of the voice actors in Trolls Band Together, which may or may not be the best Trolls movie yet, based on who you ask. She also went to Sundance in January for her role in the biopic, Rob Peace.  

The Call Her Daddy podcast famously brings home some viral moments from its big guests (such as the time Miley Cyrus guested), and Camila Cabello’s latest episode is no exception. And, we’re not just talking about that Drake joke! The singer also got into where she’s at with dating right now, including explaining why her brief reconciliation with Shawn Mendes “didn’t feel right.” We can’t wait to see what music Cabello has been cooking up! 

While Ben Affleck may be most well known for bringing movies like Air to audiences, as well as his relationship with Jennifer Lopez, he’s become nearly synonymous with the brand Dunkin. What started as an amusing slice of “celebrities are just like us” moment has turned into a series of high-profile TV commercials, peaking with Dunkin’s 2023 Super Bowl spot. Now, the former Batman portrayer is back on the donuts and coffee beat, and fans are loving it.

Just a few days into the new year, Affleck was witnessed and photographed with a whole mess of donut boxes and more, according to Blogdady. The new imagery indicates the new ad being produced is directly parodying the Oscar winner’s infamously viral 2020 moment in which he struggled to gather several different Dunkin bags, boxes and glasses. 

As the photos started making the rounds online, fans were quick to voice their support for Ben Affleck’s return to the world of TV commercials. Though more specifically, they’re loving his choice of wardrobe, as he was spotted wearing two different T-shirts while filming: one with the words “Best Dad Ever” emblazoned on it, and one saying “Day Ones” with an image of Affleck and BFF Matt Damon as teenagers. In the images, the Gone Girl star is seen holding a massive stack of Dunkin boxes, and while they presumably aren’t filled with edible treats, I certainly wouldn’t complain if he happened to drop all of them on my kitchen counters. But I digress.

Even though he’s seen looking a little stressed out, it’s presumably all for the sake of staying “in character” as himself. And the fact that he is all good with poking fun at himself is something fans already love about the new ad. 

A similar stance is voiced in the tweet below, with the filmmaking actor being applauded for taking that not-exactly-positive moment and giving it new life via spoofery. 

To be clear, it’s still not confirmed that Ben Affleck’s latest Dunkin collaboration is specifically for a Super Bowl commercial, but considering it’s being filmed a little over a month ahead of the big game, that certainly seems like the most likely scenario. 

Had he been alone in the ad, that’d be one thing, but Affleck was reportedly joined by Internet superstar Charli D’Amelio, who was photographed on the set of the ad. Past commercials saw him joining JLo in serving drive-thru customers (which he later admitted wasn’t all positive by way of some patrons’ reactions), while rapper Ice Spice appeared in an ad that ran later in 2023.

Here’s hoping we’ll get more info about the new ad before Super Bowl LVIII arrives on Sunday, February 11, when it will air on CBS and stream for those with Paramount+ subscriptions.

The sheer trend has been in full force for over a year now, and, Camila Cabello just shared her latest take on it with a gorgeous ethereal gown that I’m in love with. While Florence Pugh made waves with her bright pink sheer Valentino gown last summer, the singer was seen rocking a butterfly-like sheer gown, and I’m obsessed with this new take on a massive trend. 

Camila Cabello wore the butterfly-like dress to a show put on by Iris van Herpen. She was there with Maisie Williams and Big Latto too, who were also rocking ethereal sheer gowns like the “Havana” singer. Taking to her own Instagram, Cabello posted some gorgeous photos of the unique ensemble, check it out:

The lines of the dress remind me of butterfly wings, and the colors are vibrant and striking. I really love that Cabello let the dress be the true star of the show as she rocked neutral glam and a high bun with the look. Along with the dress, she was also wearing metallic gold heels that really brought the ensemble together. Overall, I’m in awe over this totally unique outfit, and the “Bad Things” singer was too, as she wrote:

Iris van Herpen is known for creating unique and cutting-edge looks, and they work with some of the biggest names in the industry, like Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Scarlett Johansson and Cate Blanchett according to their website. While there are a lot of unique trends at the moment, these flowing designs are truly like nothing else I’ve ever seen, and Cabello’s look was such a great take on the sheer trend. 

This isn’t the first time Camila Cabello has shared a unique take on the sheer dress trend. Last winter, during her time as one of the coaches on The Voice, she rocked a sheer black corset dress, and it was very Wednesday Addams of her. The look came right as Wednesday was popping off at Netflix, and it was such a brilliant intersection of trends. 

Overall, this singer/actress really knows how to take a mainstream moment and make it her own. Much like Florence Pugh has reinvented the sheer trend for herself, Cabello has done the same thing, and I’m so here for it, butterflies and all. 

Considering Camila Cabello is set to make an appearance in a project on the 2023 movie schedule with Trolls Band Together, which hits theaters on November 17, I’d imagine more fabulous looks are on the way. As the pop star continues to kill the music game and lend her voice to this mega-popular animated franchise, she’s also rocking looks that both capitalize on the trends of today, but also show off her own unique sense of style. 

If you love to follow the ups and downs of celebrity couples, and tend to get invested in those relationships to the point where you have high hopes for long-time, joyous unions, today just might not be your day. Unfortunately, after rekindling their romance just a few weeks ago at Coachella, it’s now being reported that Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have called it quits again.

What’s Being Said About Why Camila Cabello And Shawn Mendes Reportedly Broke Up Again?

The one-time The Voice coach and the Lyle, Lyle Crocodile cast member delighted many fans back in April, when they were spotted kissing at Coachella, after ending their roughly two-and-a-half year relationship in November 2021. It’s now only about six weeks after that infamous music festival makeout session, but a new report from the Daily Mail says that they’ve already put an end to things. A source told the outlet:

Awwww. Well, if true, the "Señorita" crooners would hardly be the only couple, famous or not, to briefly reunite after breaking up. Especially when, as the source noted, the exes “have a lot of history,” as these two do. Both have been in the music game for a while now, and eventually befriended one another after originally meeting when each performed as opening acts for another artist in 2014. 

They then entered a long-time friendship, but, of course, had to deny that they were dating…until they did really begin dating in the summer of 2019. The much-loved famous couple then spent quarantine together, and made their fans happy by showing how they were hanging out pantless at home. 

It was shortly after their Coachella kissing that Cabello shared some bikini pics with a cryptic caption, and an insider noted at the time that what fans were thinking was a full-on rekindling was just a “one-off” and the two had actually gone back to just being friends. But, with the duo having also been spotted giving major PDA at a Taylor Swift concert in late May, it seems like the truth of their feelings for one another was a bit less cut-and-dry than that.

As of this writing, neither celeb has commented on where their relationship currently stands, but I’m sure all of their fans wish them the best and want them to be happy whether they end up together or not.

The stars always flock to Coachella in the California desert for two weekends in April, letting loose to some of the hottest musical acts. However, what happens at Coachella definitely does not stay at Coachella, and many celebrity festivalgoers tend to gain attention for which famous faces they’re partying with. Such is true for Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes, who were spotted kissing and dancing together a year and a half after their breakup, but the former Voice coach didn’t seem the least bit bothered by the heavy media speculation. She followed up her Coachella weekend fun with some bikini photos and a flippant comment.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes broke up in November 2021 after more than two years of pants-free living together. But things seemed pretty friendly between the exes when they reunited to take in a performance on April 14, Coachella’s opening night. While the “Señorita” singers don’t seem to have addressed the reconciliation rumors directly, the former Fifth Harmony member hit up Instagram with some bikini pics and an interesting caption. Camila Cabello was feeling spicy in her dark bikini, accessorized with a backward baseball cap, as she shared one photo taken in a bathroom mirror and another showing her playing the guitar at an outdoor table. Other photos showed her sipping a drink in a lace bodice-style top and baggy jeans and feeling flirty in a revealing white top and necklace that spelled out her name.

The caption, “It’s whatever,” is pretty cryptic and possibly projects a casual attitude about what went down between her and her ex at the festival. While many fans were wondering if their kiss meant they were back together, an insider told Page Six that wasn’t the case, calling the PDA a “one-off.” They continued: 

While a full-on romance may not be in the cards again for the musical couple, who can really be mad about a fun festival fling? While their history made them a hot topic this weekend, Camilla Cabello and Shawn Mendes were not the only ones grabbing attention at Coachella. 

Many fans were wondering if anything more than friendly might be going on between Leonardo DiCaprio and Bradley Cooper’s ex Irina Shayk, who were spotted taking in the festival atmosphere together, despite the Titanic star not being featured in any of the model’s Coachella social media posts. Kendall Jenner was also pictured with Bad Bunny — just a couple of weeks after they went horseback riding together — amid rumors that they’ve been dating. 

We’ll have to see if Camila Cabello gives us any more insight into her situation via her Instagram posts, and you know fans will be watching to see what other celebrities are getting down during Coachella’s upcoming second weekend. There seemed to be nothing holding Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello back as they were spotted making out at Coachella. The duo, who called it quits over a year ago, then were spotted at the major music festival dancing, talking, and kissing. Obviously, the internet was shocked to see the two together again, and boy do they have thoughts. 

The former couple was spotted getting close, and making out at Coachella by many, as Page Six reported. During one of the concerts, the "Señorita" singers were seen smiling at each other before leaning in for a kiss in a crowd of people. It was also reported that they were seen again later in the night hanging out together. 

After breaking up in November 2021, the two posted a joint statement (via Seventeen) sharing the news. It did note that their “love for one another as humans is stronger than ever.” However, since their official separation, they really hadn’t been seen together publicly, until now. Many outlets and people at Coachella posted the video of the two packing on the PDA, and now the folks of the internet are sharing their thoughts on the unexpected reunion.

Whether people approved or were not on board with the couple’s reunion, there was a general sense of confusion and shock among those commenting on the duo's Coachella moment. @eraofaqueen captured this vibe well, by tweeting: 

Admittedly, I’m with this person. I feel fairly indifferent, but I am in a state of shock over this video. It’s safe to say I did not have Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello being caught making out on my 2023 bingo card. 

While the couple was together, they were known to be pretty lovey-dovey by walking carpets hand in hand, collaborating on romantic songs together, and posting things like pantless photos from their homes on social media. So, if this video implies that the pop stars are back together, it’s not off-brand for them to be packing on the PDA. 

In the year after they broke up, both Mendes and Cabello kept busy. The “Mercy” singer released a couple of singles and voiced the titular character in Lyle, Lyle Crocodile (which can be streamed with a Netflix subscription). As for the “Havana” singer, she released her album Familia in 2022, and added her name to the long list of singers to serve as coaches on The Voice. Along with being a perfect coach for the NBC singing competition, she also led the cast of Cinderella, adding another project to her resume of work on screen. 

As for what’s next for the two, both singers have movies in the works, with Cabello’s next project, Tolls Band Together on the 2023 film schedule, while Mendes’ next movie Summer of Love is in pre-production. 

So, while we might not know if Cabello and Mendes are back together, we do know that they have a lot of exciting projects in the works. And if this Coachella moment leads to something more, maybe we’ll get more collaborations from the two former lovebirds in the future. 

As Wednesday Addams’ fashion has taken over the world, along with her viral dance moves, fans of The Voice couldn’t help but notice Camila Cabello’s resemblance to the Addams’ Family character. During the finale the former Fifth Harmony member rocked two outfits, that are both giving Wednesday energy. However the black gown with a sheer corset The Voice coach wore while signing with the other coaches has the internet ablaze with comments comparing her to Jenna Ortega’s character. 

In the post on Instagram, Cabello posted a sweet tribute to her finalist Morgan Myles, and she prompted fans to watch the show’s finale. She also showed off her epic gown that featured a beautiful sheer black corset, a diamond and pearl choker, and black lipstick, check it out: 

I don’t know about you, but my first thought when I saw this dress was that Cabello seriously resembled Wednesday during her iconic dance scene in episode 4 of the Netflix series. 

Scrolling through the comments there is an overwhelming number of them that compare the new The Voice coach to Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, and I’m so here for it. I think @emily_sinche said it best when they posted:

Also, I thought Cabello’s second finale look -- a sheer, embroidered white dress with a black flower on her shoulder and black shall -- gave Wednesday adjacent vibes. Check it out: 

Cabello is 100% a fashion icon in my eyes, and she knows how to rock looks that, despite their differences, both Wednesday and Enid would be proud of. 

As for what Cabello did while wearing these fits, she rocked the black gown while signing a Christmas tune with her fellow coaches, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani and John Legend, and she rooted on her finalist in her gothic white dress. 

In the end, Shelton’s mentee Bryce Leatherwood won and upset the frontrunner, Bodie. This marks another win for Blake, and it came during his penultimate season which had to be special. Along with a special win, and amazing outfits, there were also wonderful performances, amusing banter, and a touching moment between Shelton and Stefani during the final episode of Season 22. Between Cabello's amazing looks, and getting one of her team members into the finale this must have been a great way for her to cap off her first season as coach.

Spoiler alert! The following story reveals the winner of The Voice Season 22, revealed on the December 13 finale, so consider yourself warned!

The Voice crowned its 22nd champion in a two-hour live results broadcast on NBC, after a season of impressive live performances and amusing banter between the four celebrity coaches. On Blake Shelton’s penultimate season, the country star notched his ninth victory, taking Bryce Leatherwood all the way to end and upsetting frontrunner Bodie, as the country singer garnered the majority of America’s votes after an exciting performance finale the night before. 

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton opened the Tuesday broadcast with an elaborate skit in which they were both trying to steal the trophy in order to secure the win for the cowboy. It turns out all the theatrics were unnecessary, as the 22-year-old from Georgia finished the season with the trophy in hand. In his final words to Leatherwood ahead of the announcement, Shelton congratulated the artist, saying success is already his. In the cowboy's words:

The reveal of Bryce Leatherwood as the winner followed a star-studded night of performances from artists including Kelly Clarkson, Maluma, Adam Lambert and Season 21 winners, Girl Named Tom. Each finalist also got to sing a duet with their coach, with Blake Shelton taking the stage with the eventual winner for a fun rendition of Shelton's “Hillbilly Bone.”

This season Bryce Leatherwood leaned hard into his country roots, covering songs by legends including Conway Twitty, George Strait, Travis Tritt and more, before taking on Keith Whitley in the finale with “Don’t Close Your Eyes” and another Tritt hit, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” 

Blake Shelton went into the performance finale with three artists — Bryce Leatherwood, Brayden Lape (who placed fifth) and Bodie. John Legend was represented by Omar Jose Cardona (the fourth-place finisher), who gave an impressive performance of “My Heart Will Go On” in the semifinals, and first-time coach Camila Cabello also had one artist on the last night of competition with Morgan Myles. Gwen Stefani’s team was unfortunately eliminated in the semifinal round, so it’s a good thing she said she’d already won by marrying Blake Shelton.

Season 22 was full of cute moments between Mr. and Mrs. Shelton — the first married couple to be featured on The Voice’s coaching panel. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton simultaneously trolled each other and were caught sharing adorable moments as they battled it out for the win. 

Gwen Stefani will not be back when The Voice returns as part of the 2023 TV schedule on March 6, 2023, and neither will John Legend or Camila Cabello. Blake Shelton’s final season will pit him against former rival Kelly Clarkson and first-time coaches Niall Horan and Chance the Rapper.

The competition portion of The Voice’s 22nd season is in the books, and Blake Shelton, Camila Cabello, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend have done all they can do for their teams. While Stefani didn’t have an artist competing in the December 12 finale, she undoubtedly enjoyed the night, as it seemed all of the remaining artists left it all on the stage. The two-hour performance finale featured the Top 5 finalists performing twice — one up-tempo cover and a thank you song, as all of The Voice coaches offered some final praise (with no critiques) and well-wishes for their singers.

So who will be crowned the winner of Season 22? We’ll have to tune in to the results episode on December 13 to find out, but let’s take a look at what went down Monday night, and which singer deserves the win based on their finale performances. (The artists are listed below in the order they appeared on the episode.) 

Bodie (Team Blake)

Bodie has been a frontrunner from the beginning. He was a Four-Chair Turn in the Blind Auditions, won his Battle and Knockout rounds, and was voted through by America on every live episode, never having to perform for an Instant Save. The unique twists he puts on each song are only highlighted with how easy he makes it look, and it’s been said more than once by the coaches that they don’t understand how he’s not already a star. For the finale, he took on “Late Night Talking” by Harry Styles and then showed his spiritual side with Brandon Lake’s “Gratitude.” Take a look at his inspirational final performance: 

The crowd’s chants of “Bodie! Bodie!” have become commonplace, and for good reason. John Legend said the word “power” came to mind when thinking of the artist, and his coach Blake Shelton said that rendition of “Gratitude” was one of the most moving performances he’s seen in a long time. 

Morgan Myles (Team Camila) 

It takes a special kind of bravery to jump around and spin in heels on stage while singing on live TV. Morgan Myles went all out for her finale choice of “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” nearly falling during her first song but expertly saving herself and continuing without a hitch. She absolutely killed her second song, “Girl Crush,” which led John Legend to say she’s the best country singer he’s seen since he’s been on The Voice. See what all the hype is about below: 

Camila Cabello had no chill over the lone contestant she coached into the finale on her rookie season, who like Bodie, was a Four-Chair Turn and never faced elimination. Cabello even screamed over Gwen Stefani as she tried to give her own feedback. She said she just wants this win so bad for Morgan Myles, declaring: “You deserve to win The Voice.” 

Brayden Lape (Team Blake) 

“Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw was an appropriate song choice for Brayden Lape in the finale. The voters certainly have had a sweet spot for Blake Shelton’s 16-year-old singer, who seemingly embodies the titular words of the country hit. As he did for most of the season, Lape went country for his second performance as well, singing “Wild as Her,” and while I don’t think he’s quite as vocally strong as the other competitors around him, he’s shown a lot of growth, and I wouldn’t be surprised to hear his voice on country radio. Brayden Lape — who was a One-Chair Turn in the audition round — said he just wanted to have fun on the final night and soak in the whole experience. John Legend said this is just the start of his career, praising him for his poise and grace. Blake Shelton said Lape has been following his heart and has so much in front of him. 

Omar Jose Cardona (Team Legend) 

John Legend’s representative in the Season 22 finale, Omar Jose Cardona, certainly didn’t take his foot off the gas after his lights-out semifinal performance of “My Heart Will Go On.” Over the course of the season, Cardona has tackled Bon Jovi, Imagine Dragons, Journey, and more, bringing a really unique flair to the show. On the last night of the competition, he only upped the ante, performing choreography for a fun rendition of Michael Jackson’s “The Way You Make Me Feel” before a show-stopping cover of “Somebody to Love” by Queen. John Legend repeated Gwen Stefani’s joke from last week about Omar Jose Cardona lip-syncing, because through all the dancing and then getting lifted into the air by his backup dancers for his Queen performance, his vocal never stumbled, and he never sounded winded.  

Bryce Leatherwood (Team Blake) 

I don’t think anyone on The Voice has ever countried as hard as Bryce Leatherwood countried this season. This member of Blake Shelton’s team is so country he’s got me using that word as a verb. This season he covered songs by Conway Twitty, George Strait, Travis Tritt and more, before taking on Keith Whitley in the finale with “Don’t Close Your Eyes” and another Tritt hit, “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” Take a look at his finale performance:

Gwen Stefani assured Bryce Leatherwood that even if he doesn’t win The Voice, he’s won a career. Blake Shelton congratulated him on his journey and for introducing country legends like Keith Whitley to a whole new generation of fans. 

Why Omar Jose Cardona Should Win

Omar can do it! Omar can do it! I’ll admit that my money has been on Bodie for most of the season, but based on Omar Jose Cardona’s finale performances — and hell, his semifinal songs as well — John Legend’s singer just simply could not have made bigger moments for himself. He danced, he acted, and most importantly he SANG. His coach addressed America, saying he doesn’t know what else Cardona could do to prove that he is The Voice, and I agree.

Can Omar Jose Cardona do it for Team Legend? Will Camila Cabello capture the win in her first season as a coach? Or will Blake Shelton notch his ninth victory with one of his three finalists? We don’t have to wait long to find out, as the winner will be named on Tuesday, December 13. The Voice Season 22 finale starts with a one-hour special at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, ahead of the two-hour live results show at 9 p.m. ET.

Blake Shelton has been on The Voice ever since the reality competition show’s inception. He’s been considered a champion coach, particularly given a singer on his team has won that $100 grand prize money and record deal during eight seasons. After it was announced last month that The Voice would be losing Shelton to retirement, the longtime TV personality shared a few suggestions he has for retirement gifts. Of course Gwen Stefani and co. had some choice responses. 

Honestly, The Voice will probably never be the same without the judge turning his chair for some of the best and brightest, but at least one of the best parts about retirement is the parting gifts one tends to receive. Ahead of Tuesday’s live Top 10 results, Shelton jokingly dished in an interview with ET Online about what kind of retirement gifts he would like to see come from each of his fellow judges, and they responded in kind: 

"Blake Shelton: From John I would like a pallet of his LVE wine, with a mixture of his choice. Not a case, a pallet.

John Legend: All right. I’m with that.

Shelton: From Gwen we split everything anyway, so whatever she buys herself. 

Gwen Stefani: Can I redecorate the LA house?

Shelton: This is my retirement gift.

This chart-topping performer clearly doesn’t hold back on what to include on his wish list and he didn't stop with the veteran coaches. In  I'm sure when Camila Cabello was welcomed to The Voice in Season 22, she never would have pictured being for such a (jokingly) huge gift from Shelton. The exchange continued... 

"Shelton: I think an ATV. I think that would be great for Camila to buy me.

Camila Cabello: Whoa, very big. Santa's budget is a little tight this year, I don't know."

These exchanges were practically perfect (and on brand for Shelton's general humor), but since these longtime and newcomer judges have been like a family to each other, I’d like to believe his actual gift requests would be something more to commemorate the great times he had on the show. 

The “God’s Country” singer announced in October that his time on The Voice would be over after twelve years he spent as a champion judge on the show. In his Instagram statement, he expressed how life-changing the show was to him and that it’s been “a hell of a ride” for him. Life-changing for sure as he met his future wife, Gwen Stefani, on the show since being chair-by-chair since her introduction in season seven. After five years of dating, they were engaged and finally got married in July 2021 with a number of musical collaborations between the two of them. It must have been a blessing to him that this highly-rated competition series introduced him to new love.

After it was revealed Blake Shelton’s chair-turning days would be over, his budding judges couldn’t help but convey their heartfelt reactions. John Legend’s reaction to Shelton's exit had him calling the singer “the heart and soul and anchor” of the show. While he knows you can’t do the same thing forever, his absence will be missed. His No Doubt wife also shared some thoughts of her own about how strange it will be to not have her hubby on the show anymore. She even wondered “who this new Blake’s gonna be?” But, Stefani understands her husband's reasoning for leaving.

As for what Blake Shelton has up his sleeves post-retirement, he’ll still be tuning that guitar for his 18-date Back to the Honky Tonk Tour, featuring country singers Carly Pierce and Jackson Dean. With the loving family and musical talents this 46-year-old singer has got going for him, he’ll be doing just fine after The Voice. Spoiler alert! This story reveals the results of The Voice Season 22’s Top 13 elimination that aired November 22. 

The Voice’s 22nd season is down to just ten artists after three more were eliminated in Tuesday’s results show that followed a night of emotional performances. Frontrunners like Gwen Stefani’s Justin Aaron continue to emerge in the live episodes, and the competition is as fierce as ever, with three weeks remaining before the competition’s 22nd champion is crowned. First-time coach Camila Cabello certainly seemed to be in the fighting spirit, as she joked at the top of the episode about the lengths she was willing to go to beat her fellow coaches. However, after a brutal elimination, the rookie may not be in a laughing mood any longer.

Carson Daly opened the November 22 episode by speaking to Camila Cabello, Gwen Stefani, and John Legend about the competition so far, as Blake Shelton’s team prepared to take the stage for a live performance with their coach. When the host asked the “Bam Bam” singer about what advice she’d been giving her three remaining artists, Cabello joked: 

The comment garnered some laughs from her colleagues and the live studio audience, and I can’t help but think that those are actually not bad tactics to get under The Voice coaches’ skin. It’s a good thing she’d likely never follow through on such sabotage (won’t somebody please think of the goats?!), because it looks like Camila Cabello’s team has a tough fight ahead.

Two of Team Camila’s members — Devix and Eric Who — were sent home Tuesday, after being among the bottom four vote-getters from the Top 13 performances. That leaves Camila Cabello with just one singer, Morgan Myles, going forward into next week’s Top 10. 

Gwen Stefani had quite a scare, too, as her team comprised the other two spots in the bottom four. Alyssa Witrado was eliminated from her team, while Kique won America’s Instant Save, advancing to the top 10 with teammate Justin Aaron.

That means it was a pretty stress-free night for the other coaches. All three of John Legend’s team members were voted through by America, as well as all four of Blake Shelton’s remaining singers. It seems Shelton’s fans are really showing up to support the longtime coach as he prepares to leave The Voice after Season 23, and I’m sure Camila Cabello’s “shut up Blake” has never felt more deserved.

How far will Camila Cabello and Morgan Myles be able to go in the competition? The singer/songwriter earned Blake Shelton’s stamp of approval with a country performance during the Live Playoffs, and now with Cabello being able to focus solely on her, Myles could definitely be one to watch over the next couple of weeks. The Voice kicked off the live portion of Season 22 on November 14, with all 16 remaining contestants singing for America’s vote for the first time. Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Camila Cabello have seen their teams of four through three rounds of pre-recorded competition, which led to this moment — the Live Playoffs. All of The Voice coaches have something to prove, but in Shelton’s penultimate season, the cowboy seems especially motivated to bring home what would be his ninth victory. 

So which contestants thrived under the pressures of live television? Let’s take a look at who I think is each team’s strongest singer, based on their performances in the Live Playoffs.

Team Legend: Parijita Bastola 

John Legend won 17-year-old Parijita Bastola after a Four-Chair Turn in the Blind Auditions, and it’s pretty obvious why she continues to be a favorite of the entire panel. Following her live performance of “I’ll Never Love Again” from A Star Is Born, she earned a standing ovation from all four coaches, including a scream from Camila Cabello, who demanded to know, “Who hurt Parijita?” Legend said they’d worked on the emotional aspect of her performance during rehearsals, and that really came through. It almost pains me to pick Bastola over her teammate Kim Cruse, though, and I expect them both to be around next week. 

Team Gwen: Justin Aaron 

Going into the Live Playoffs, I was sure that Kique was a shoe-in for Gwen Stefani’s team in the finale. That may still be true, but this night belonged to Justin Aaron. The singer was a One-Chair Turn after auditioning with a John Legend song, but has shown so much growth in the competition, coming out of his shell and showing more confidence in each round. The coaching panel went absolutely ballistic over his cover of Luther Vandross’ “Here and Now,” with Blake Shelton practically climbing on stage with his standing ovation and Stefani jumping up and down so hard, it looked like she might break her Big Red Chair. 

Team Camila: Morgan Myles 

If the Live Playoffs were the first time you’d watched The Voice this season, you’d never guess that Camila Cabello’s Four-Chair Turn Morgan Myles hadn’t been singing country all along. After previously covering Miley Cyrus' "Wrecking Ball" and classics like "What the World Needs Now Is Love," her performance of Patty Griffin’s “Let Her Fly” showed off the singer’s range and had her coach praising her authenticity as a “truth-teller.” Even more, Blake Shelton threw in his endorsement, calling her “pitch perfect” and saying she looked like a star. HIs opinion definitely carries weight amongst the country music-loving voters.

Team Blake: Bodie 

Bodie — another Four-Chair Turn — has been a frontrunner since the beginning, in my opinion, due to his effortless originality. He followed up his Knockout performance of Post Malone’s “Better Now” with another surprising take on “Glimpse of Us” by Japanese singer Joji, and coach Blake Shelton said that performance ensured his place in the finale. However, Bodie is part of a stacked team, competing alongside Bryce Leatherwood — who Shelton also assured us would be moving forward — and Rowan Grace — who the coach said established herself as a frontrunner. Bodie just has a je ne sais quoi that, like Gwen Stefani said, is “mind-blowing.”

The results of America’s votes will be revealed at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, November 15, on NBC, with three contestants being sent home. However, I think it’s safe to say these four will be hitting the stage again next Monday, November 21, for the next round of competition on The Voice’s 22nd season. The teams have been built and whittled down to the best of the best, and The Voice kicked off the live portion of Season 22 on Monday night with the Live Playoffs. The Top 16 contestants — four from each team — performed on live TV for America’s votes for the first time this season, with results coming in the November 15 episode. There was definitely a different energy as the competition transitioned out of its pre-recorded rounds, and the first night included some love between our married coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, a little trolling, and even some technical difficulties. Gotta love live TV! Let’s get into the biggest moments from the episode: 

Blake Shelton Takes Advantage Of Going Live To Troll Carson Daly

At least he waited until it was his team’s turn, but as host Carson Daly introduced Blake Shelton’s singers, the cowboy interrupted him with a loud, “Yes!” prompting Daly to say: 

Carson Daly pursed his lips as his Barmageddon co-star hollered, “Talk to me!” ahead of Bryce Leatherwood’s turn on stage, and then hit him again before Rowan Grace sang. It looked like the host was trying not to react, as Blake Shelton yelled over him, “Oh I love her! Yes!” I guess that’s what Daly gets for trying to test his marriage to Gwen Stefani. 

The Voice Coaches Call Kate Kalvach A ‘Total Pro’ After Earpiece Malfunction 

When Camila Cabello’s team member Kave Kalvach took the stage for her cover of Shania Twain’s “You’re Still the One,” it was obvious things weren’t working like they were supposed to. The singer didn’t miss a beat, but she did look off-stage and indicate she was having trouble, pulling out her earpiece. After the song was over, Carson Daly quickly praised her for being a “total pro,” and the four coaches seemed shocked that she was able to pull off such a performance without being able to hear her voice in her ear. It’s so unfair when technical difficulties strike on live TV, especially given the fact that Kate Kalvach is relying on audience votes to put her through to the next round of the competition. However, the coaches insisted they couldn’t tell she had issues, because she sounded so great. 

Gwen Stefani Admitted She And Blake Shelton Consult Each Other About Their Teams 

The Voice coaches practically rushed the stage when Gwen Stefani’s Justin Aaron took on the Luther Vandross classic “Here and Now.” Afterward, the No Doubt frontwoman made an interesting comment regarding her husband Blake Shelton, saying to Aaron: 

Blake Shelton had a huge smile on his face during his wife’s comments, and his reaction to the performance — he came around the front of his chair for the end of the song, loudly cheering as he applauded — made it pretty obvious he and Gwen Stefani had been looking forward to this one, even before she said anything. I'm sure we all assumed they've teamed up with each other to a point, but this seemed like proof positive.

Camila Cabello Adjusts To Live TV 

Blake Shelton made fun of rookie coach Camila Cabello throughout the early rounds of Season 22 for how much she talks, even reminding her at one point that when the live shows started, she’d be put on a timer. The “Bam Bam” singer sure did experience that, when Carson Daly asked her for the very first comment following Omar Jose Cardona’s show-opener. First she seemed thrown by the fact that she couldn’t swear, and as she started her critique, she realized she was on a timer and only had 15 seconds to wrap it up. She adjusted quickly and didn’t seem to have any trouble with the timer after that. 

Gwen Stefani Calls Blake Shelton ‘Daddy’ 

Blake Shelton saved 17-year-old singer Rowan Grace after Gwen Stefani eliminated her in the Knockout Round, and following Grace's rendition of "Hopelessly Devoted to You," the '90s rocker gave her stamp approval on her husband's coaching job with a comment that raised some eyebrows: 

John Legend got a good chuckle out of the unexpected pet name, but that actually wasn't the first time Gwen Stefani has referred to her and her husband as “Mommy and Daddy.” Cringey though it may be, it's no doubt due to how young the singer is. Mrs. Shelton is definitely not afraid to show her affection, as she also shared another sweet moment with Blake Shelton to her Instagram Stories on the set Monday night:

The Voice has welcomed 23 superstars so far in its 15-year history to lead the music industry hopefuls, with two more joining for Season 30. Blake Shelton was the longest-running mentor, appearing in the first 23 seasons, but an eclectic array of musicians have come and gone over the years as well. Let’s take a look at all of The Voice coaches, how many seasons they've coached, and all the artists they've led to victory.

Blake Shelton (23 Seasons, 9 Wins)

Blake Shelton is the leader of the pack when it comes to The Voice coaches in both longevity and wins. The longest-serving coach collected nine wins during his 23-season tenure, and he must have left his mark on the artists, as all nine of them showed up to surprise Shelton on his final episode with an emotional group performance. The cowboy returned for the Season 27 finale, but only to perform.

Season 2: Jermaine Paul. Blake Shelton got his first win fairly quickly in The Voice’s run, winning the second season with R&B singer Paul.

Season 3: Cassadee Pope. Country pop singer Pope has released four studio albums since The Voice, and her duet with country singer Chris Young, “Think of You.” went No. 1 on the US Country Airplay chart in 2016.

Season 4: Danielle Bradbery. Blake Shelton completed a three-peat with then-16-year-old Bradbery. She is among artists who found success after The Voice.

Season 7: Craig Wayne Boyd. Team Blake bested three Adam Levine team members in this finale, giving Boyd the crown.

Season 11: Sundance Head. In 2016, Sundance Head beat out competitors who included former child star Billy Gilman. Head was one of many singers on The Voice who also competed on American Idol, and he made headlines in 2024 after accidentally shooting himself in the stomach. He continues to tour as of 2026 and appears to have made a full recovery.

Season 13: Chloe Kohanski. Following her win, Kohanski gave us some behind-the-scenes info about The Voice. In 2019, she began performing as chloe mk, and in 2021 she released the album, All the Same All OK.

Season 18: Todd Tilghman. Pastor and father of eight Tilghman became Shelton’s seventh champion on The Voice. At 42 years old, he is the oldest contestant to win the show.

Season 20: Cam Anthony. The coach’s strategy of clearing the lane for Anthony to be the only R&B singer on his team paid off, as he “changed the show forever” and gave the cowboy an eighth victory.

Season 22: Bryce Leatherwood. This classic country singer used negative online feedback to fuel his upset victory in his coach's penultimate season. Leatherwood sang hits by George Strait, Travis Tritt, Keith Whitley and more en route to the trophy and stands as Blake Shelton’s final champion.

Kelly Clarkson (10 Seasons, 4 Wins)

Blake Shelton may have the most victories, but Kelly Clarkson has notched a pretty impressive win rate, winning 4 out of the 10 times she’s coached (Seasons 14-21, 23, 29). The American Idol OG champ stepped away from The Voice in 2023, whenThe Kelly Clarkson Show's production moved to New York City. She performed in the Season 27 finale before returning as a coach for Season 29, and she'll be back in the Big Red Chairs for Season 30.

Season 14: Brynn Cartelli. In her first year on The Voice, Kelly Clarkson gave A+ advice, leading this 15-year-old pop singer to victory. Cartelli stands as the competition’s youngest winner.

Season 15: Chevel Shepherd. Make that 2-for-2 for the “Breakaway” singer, as 16-year-old Shepherd became the first country artist to win on a team other than Blake Shelton’s.

Season 17: Jake Hoot. This country singer was “in shock” after giving Kelly Clarkson her third win in four seasons. He returned for Season 29's "All-Star Showdown," where he "broke" Kelly Clarkson but also helped her win an extra spot in the finale.

Season 21: Girl Named Tom. This folk trio comprising siblings Joshua, Caleb, and Bekah Liechty made history as the first group to ever win The Voice. They joined Jake Hoot in representing their former coach in Season 29's All-Star contest.

Adam Levine (18 Seasons, 4 Wins)

One of the original coaches, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine served on the panel for the first 16 seasons, contributing to some of the wildest moments in The Voice’s history and forming bromantic rivalry with Blake Shelton. He exited the show ahead of Season 17 for 10 seasons before returning for the 27th and 29th cycles of the competition in 2025 and 2026. He has earned four victories overall, including Season 29's Battle of Champions, and he's confirmed that he'll be back for Season 30.

Season 1: Javier Colon. Adam Levine started off with a bang, taking this singer-songwriter all the way to the end, to be crowned the first champion of The Voice. Colon returned to represent his coach in Season 29's "In-Season All-Star Competition."

Season 5: Tessanne Chin. This Jamaican artist beat out some strong competition in Jacquie Lee and Will Champlin to give the Maroon 5 frontman his second win.

Season 9: Jordan Smith. The singer-songwriter blew all of his competition out of the water, coasting to a victory in 2015. In 2022 he also represented Kentucky on NBC’s American Song Contest, and he joined Javier Colon in Season 29's All-Star Competition.

Season 29: Alexia Jayy. John Legend really shot himself in the foot with this artist, and Adam Levine took her all the way to the finish line in a season full of stunning covers of songs by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Adele and more.

John Legend (11 Seasons, 1 Win)

EGOT winner John Legend has been a pretty regular figure on The Voice panel since 2019 but has garnered just one victory so far. Legend served as a coach on The Voice on Seasons 16-22, 24, 25, 27 and 29.

Season 16: Maelyn Jarmon. The folk singer wowed voters with her finale covers of Hallelujah and Unforgettable. Funnily, she said the competition was not as stressful to her as the final season of Game of Thrones. Jarmon represented John Legend in Season 29's All-Star competition, along with Season 27 finalist Renzo.

Christina Aguilera (6 Seasons, 1 Win)

Another one of the original panel, Christina Aguilera appeared on six of the first 10 seasons of the NBC competition show (1-3, 5, 8, 10), and won in her final appearance. Two years after her exit, the “Genie in a Bottle” singer said that by Season 10, The Voice had become less about music and more about making good TV moments.

Season 10: Alisan Porter. Some viewers may have recognized the eventual winner from her roles as a child actor, including the titular character of 1991’s Curly Sue. Porter’s victory made Christina Aguilera the first female coach to win a season.

Gwen Stefani (8 Seasons, 1 Win)

The No Doubt frontwoman joined the cast of The Voice in fall 2014, and has scored one win in her eight seasons so far (7, 9, 12, 17, 19, 22, 24 and 26). At the time of her first appearance, she and Blake Shelton were both going through divorces. Fans got to watch their friendship blossom into romance, and in Season 22, they were the show’s first husband-and-wife couple to go to battle. Stefani has appeared on two seasons since Shelton left, but only time will tell if she'll continue to return.

Season 19: Carter Rubin. The 15-year-old pop singer gave Gwen Stefani her first win — beating out two members of her then-fiancé’s team — and became the youngest male winner in series history.

Pharrell Williams (4 Seasons 1 Win)

The “Happy” singer was added to The Voice’s panel in Season 7. He stayed in the Big Red Chairs through Season 10, winning his sophomore effort.

Season 8: Sawyer Fredericks. Following his win at just 16 year's old, Fredericks recorded three albums while touring and playing events for charities, including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. He is one of several celebrity relatives to compete on The Voice.

Alicia Keys (3 Seasons, 1 Win)

Alicia Keys brought a cool and positive vibe to the panel for Seasons 11 and 12 — winning in her second season — before leaving to record an album. She came back one last time for Season 14 and performed in the Season 27 finale.

Season 12: Chris Blue. The soul singer was the very last contestant picked on this season, completing Keys’ team. This was the only season that the last singer chosen has won the whole competition.

Usher (2 Seasons, 1 Win)

Season 4 marked the first time The Voice switched up its coaches, and Usher came on replacing CeeLo Green. The “My Way” crooner made a second appearance in Season 6, notching his first and only win.

Season 6: Josh Kaufman. Kaufman started his Voice journey on Adam Levine’s team but was stolen by Usher in the Battles. Following the show he joined the Broadway cast of Pippin, and was the last person to play the title role before the revival closed in 2015.

CeeLo Green (4 Seasons, 0 Wins)

OG coach CeeLo Green appeared on Seasons 1-3 before stepping away in Season 4. He returned for Season 5 for a final season. The Gnarls Barkley member brought a certain flair to the panel, as he was often accompanied by his cat and tended to choose more unique artists than his counterparts. Those choices, however, did not translate to wins.

CeeLo Green has returned to The Voice a couple times since his exit, performing on Blake Shelton's final episode, and serving as a Mega Mentor and the judge of the All-Star Competition in Season 29.

Shakira (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer filled in for Christina Aguilera on Seasons 4 and 6, failing to bring an artist to the finale in both seasons.

Jennifer Hudson (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

American Idol alum Jennifer Hudson is probably best remembered for throwing her shoes at the performances she deemed most impressive. She appeared on two seasons (13 and 15), but got no wins. J-Hud returned as a Mega Mentor for Reba McEntire and Michael Bublé’s teams in Season 26, filled in for Kelly Clarkson during the Battles in Season 29, and has also coached on three seasons of The Voice UK.

Miley Cyrus (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

The addition of Miley Cyrus to Season 11, along with Alicia Keys, marked the first time the singing competition featured two female coaches. She returned in Season 13, but the “Wrecking Ball” singer never earned a win.

Nick Jonas (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

Nick Jonas adorned the Big Red Chair in Seasons 18 and 20. While having an artist appear in the finale both seasons, he also failed to take them to victory.

Ariana Grande (1 Season, 0 Wins)

Pop singer Ariana Grande got some good zingers in on Blake Shelton, however, in her sole appearance on the show — Season 21 — she had no artists representing her in the finale. The Wicked star has since said she got too emotionally attached to her team and has no plans to return.

Camila Cabello (1 Season, 0 Wins)

Camila Cabello proved she was a force to be reckoned with in her first time on The Voice. In Season 22 she took one artist, Morgan Myles, to the finale, but was unable to wrestle the win away from the cowboy, Blake Shelton.

Chance the Rapper (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

Chance the Rapper made his debut on The Voice in Season 23, then returned in Season 25. The three-time Grammy Award winner took sister trio Sorelle to the finals in his rookie season but failed to secure an artist in the Season 25 finals. In the Season 27 finale, Chance the Rapper appeared as a performer.

Niall Horan (3 Seasons, 3 Wins)

Former One Direction member Niall Horan joined The Voice family in Season 23, where he struck up a hilariously strong father/son bond with outgoing coach Blake Shelton. It seems the nut didn't fall far from the tree, as Horan has gone undefeated in his three seasons on the show. He stands as the only undefeated coach and the first coach to win their first three seasons (Kelly Clarkson and Michael Bublé won their first two).

Niall Horan joins Blake Shelton as the only two coaches to win three attempts in a row, though Horan's were not in consecutive seasons like Shelton's were (Seasons 2-4).

Season 23: Gina Miles. The soft-spoken 18-year-old spoiled Blake Shelton's goodbye season, edging country singer Grace West in what Carson Daly said was the smallest margin of victory in the show's 23 seasons.

Season 24: Huntley. Niall Horan's long-haired rocker was up against some stiff competition, as all five artists in the Season 24 finale were Four-Chair Turns. He brought it home, though, making it two in a row for his coach.

Season 28: Aidan Ross. The 20-year-old from Texas earned a Four-Chair Turn as the first artist to take the stage for Blind Auditions on his season. He chose to go with Niall Horan and the two never looked back. Halfway through the season, fans were already calling him the winner.

Reba McEntire (4 Seasons, 1 Win)

Reba McEntire joined The Voice for Season 24, replacing fellow country superstar Blake Shelton, and then returned in Seasons 25, 26 and 28. Even before that, though, the three-time Grammy winner had been a friend of the show, helping Team Blake in Season 1, returning in Season 8 and serving as Mega Mentor in Season 23. She has notched one victory on her Voice belt.

Season 25: Asher HaVon. Asher HaVon, a 31–year-old singer from Selma, Alabama, dominated the competition, to the point that after his finale performances, both John Legend and Chance the Rapper agreed the Team Reba singer should win. HaVon was reportedly the first openly LGBTQ+ contestant to win The Voice.

Dan + Shay (1 Season, 0 Wins)

The Voice made history in Season 25 by introducing the Double Big Red Chair for country/pop duo Dan + Shay. The singers were longtime friends of the show, performing with past contestants, serving as Blake Shelton's advisor in Season 20 and filling in for Niall Horan for the Battles in Season 24. Dan + Shay have won three Grammy Awards and had hits with The Voice coaching phenom Kelly Clarkson, as well as Justin Bieber, but were unable to secure a win in their lone season.

Snoop Dogg (2 Seasons, 0 Wins)

Snoop Dogg was apparently so impressive during his gig as the Season 20 Mega Mentor that NBC wanted to bring him on full time. The West Coast rapper and Winter Olympics correspondant joined the coaching panel for the competition’s 26th cycle, and while he suggested he might be one-and-done as a coach, the Gangster Holy Ghost brought him back to the Big Red Chair for Season 28.

Michael Bublé (3 Seasons, 2 Wins)

Season 26 was Michael Bublé's first as a coach, as the five-time Grammy winner appeared on Season 3 as the Battle Advisor for Blake Shelton’s team. The “Home” singer became the fourth coach to win his rookie season (after Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Niall Horan) and the first coach ever to have both the winner and second-place finisher on their first season. (I think he was also the first coach to break their chair.)

He became the third coach after Clarkson and Horan to win their first two seasons, but he couldn't complete the hat trick, losing to fellow (and still) unbeaten mentor Niall Horan in Season 28. Bublé returned as a Battle Advisor in Season 29.

Season 26: Sofronio Vasquez. The 31-year-old from the Philippines and New York became the first Filipino singer to win the competition. He was a Four-Chair Turn who captivated America with covers of artists including Mary J. Blige, Sia and Elvis. Following his win, Michael Bublé announced he was producing Vasquez's EP.

Season 27: Adam David. The blues rocker was a one-chair turn in the Blind Auditions and then needed the help of the Instant Save to make it past the Semifinals, but the 34-year-old from Florida brought home the big prize in the end.

Kelsea Ballerini (1 Season, 0 Wins)

Kelsea Ballerini made her debut in Season 27. As a longtime friend of the singing competition, the country-pop singer served as an honorary fifth coach on Season 15, was Kelly Clarkson’s advisor in Season 16 and filled in for the “Since U Been Gone” singer when she was sick in Season 20.

Queen Latifah: Incoming Rookie

We've talked a lot about Reba McEntire being the "Queen of Country" on The Voice, but Season 30 will see true music royalty in the house when Queen Latifah joins the coaching panel. With a career dating back to the 1980s, this superstar is a Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe winner with an Oscar nomination for the 2002 musical Chicago. I'll be seated.

Riley Green: Incoming Rookie

Country music star and actor Riley Green will also make his debut on The Voice in Season 30, but he's no stranger to the show — Green performed on the finales for Seasons 26 and 28. Also, it sounds like he's living rent-free in Kelly Clarkson's head, because apparently she started trash-talking before production even began.

I'm super pumped to see if Adam Levine can capitalize on his latest victory, but I'd love to see Kelly Clarkson walk away with another win. On the other hand, I'd never underestimate Queen Latifah, and Riley Green is sure having a moment, so whichever way it goes, Season 30 should bring great things.

NBC’s The Voice is all about finding the next big thing in music (even if success is fleeting for winners), which is helped along by its superstar coaches each season. Newbie coach Camila Cabello has already done an impressive job picking up some promising hopefuls during the Blind Auditions, and part of that comes back to her particularly repetitive way of appealing to contestants. And while she was quick to poke fun at herself during the episode, stalwart jokester Blake Shelton definitely made some fun of his own

It’s no secret that before Camila Cabello found success as a solo artist, she struck gold as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony, taking third place within the second season of The X Factor USA. And the singer has thrown the info out there more than a few times to her hopeful chair turns that she, like them, was part of a "singing competition show." But while each contestant only heard it once or twice, the Voice's stars and audience members heard it a lot. 

Cabello posted a fun compilation on Instagram of those three words being repeated, initially suggesting to make a drinking game out of it, even though it might have ended in alcohol poisoning. Check it out below, and keep watching for Blake Shelton's lay-up roast. 

It’s not surprising that Camila Cabello would mention that she was on a...I gotta say it...singing competition show, since that's precisely what they're on. I can't see her using that line ad nauseum while signing up for life insurance or placing a pizza delivery order, though I guess that probably comes up then as well. In any case, she knows what that specific pressure is like, and certainly feels like she has what it takes to help the aspiring musicians. However, it is funny to see just how many times she does bring it up, completely intentionally and without reticence.

And it makes just as much sense that Blake Shelton would pipe up with something, given his frequent jabs at his fellow coaches. Mimicking Cabello's tactics, Shelton hilarious stated that he was also on a singing competition show, but the Cinderella star threw that roast right back at him by asking him if he was in a girl group, too, noting that it’s not too late. The banter between the coaches is what will make me miss Blake Shelton on The Voice when he exits after Season 23, but at least there will be 22 seasons of his snark to look back on.

Camila Cabello is not the first coach on The Voice to bring up her competitive TV past. Kelly Clarkson, who will be returning to the red chair next season, famously won the first American Idol season, and was definitely teased on The Voice more than once whenever she brought up the fact that she “navigated” a competition like this before. It’s always funny to see how many times the coaches fall back on habitual pitches, but I guess if it ain't broke...

Meanwhile, Cabello is not the only person that Shelton has been fighting with during the Blinds. Shelton and Stefani nearly went to war over multiple auditions, which is always more than entertaining, even knowing there's little true strife involved.

Season 22 of The Voice is back and better than ever with a brand new cast member, Camila Cabello. She is joining previous Voice judges John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and the ever-sarcastic Blake Shelton in another venture to seek out some of the best singers America has to offer. Stefani recently dropped by Kelly Clarkson’s daytime talk show to talk about how Cabello is doing after her first few episodes, and apparently, she fits right in.

In an Instagram clip from The Kelly Clarkson Show, the “Don’t Speak” singer talks about the new season and how Cabello was a perfect choice to take over for Clarkson when the singer left the show in May of 2022. While many fans are sad the talk show host isn’t back assembling a stellar team of amateur singers, Cabello is emulating her, as Stefani revealed to the “Breakaway” singer:

Gwen Stefani also went on to divulge Camila Cabello is honoring a time-honored Voice tradition, being very annoyed by Blake Shelton, as he very cheekily uses his charm to convince contestants to join his team. While the Fifth Harmony alum might have been shy at first, it didn’t take long for her to get into a groove, Stefani later revealed. 

It is practically a given for The Voice judges to feud with the country star. He’s a competitive guy, who often makes snarky (and hilarious) comments about the other judges to convince contestants to join his team. He famously had a joking ongoing feud with former judge Adam Levine. The two’s charming back and forth became a highlight of The Voice’s early seasons. I’m glad Cabello is carrying on the tradition, and giving Shelton a much-needed taste of his own medicine. Shelton is definitely hitting back, as he has already pulled strings to get Cabello’s microphone turned off. 

All of this is good fun, of course. Stefani married Shelton last year and had a gorgeous, pink-filled wedding. The two met on the popular talent competition show, and fell in love. But this of course didn’t stop them from bickering and teasing each other as they competed to find the best singer America has to offer. Already this year the two have gone to battle, as Shelton used a “block” on his wife to stop her from getting a singer for her team. Competition is clearly heating up, and personally, I’m Team Gwen (sorry Blake).

Blake Shelton may not have Kelly Clarkson to throw shade at anymore, as The Voice kicked off its 22nd season on September 19, but don’t think that means he’s just going to breeze through to his ninth victory. John Legend proclaimed that he was ready to go to battle with the OG coach, while Camila Cabello certainly didn’t act like this was her first go-round. The newcomer pulled some serious power moves on the first night of the Blind Auditions, proving that she, too, is a worthy opponent of the 22-season veteran. 

The change-up on the coaching panel necessitated an update to the seating arrangement as well, with Gwen Stefani and the “Havana” singer taking the middle seats (Camila Cabello next to the cowboy) and John Legend making his way to one of the coveted aisle seats. The significance of the move was not lost on the seven-time mentor, either, as he told Carson Daly: 

Blake Shelton seemed ready to accept the challenge. But if John Legend was playing the role of silent assassin, Camila Cabello came with full-scale warfare, making her mark on the competition right out of the gate. Morgan Myles was Season 22’s first prospect, and she turned all four chairs with her rendition of “Hallelujah.” But Gwen Stefani quickly realized the rookie coach had used her Block on her. Cabello beat out the other two vets to claim Myles for her team, and she picked up a second four-chair turn later in the episode with the “Cuban Cowboy” Orlando Mendez.

That’s right. On her first night on The Voice, Camila Cabello stole a country artist out from under Blake Shelton, as did his wife, Gwen Stefani. In fact, the 22-time coach failed to secure a single member to his team from the first 10 auditions.

Most of the night, the adorable husband-and-wife duo did team up against their counterparts, with Gwen Stefani going to bat for her husband and vice versa. But having the No Doubt frontwoman by his side wasn’t the only trick the “God’s Country” artist had up his sleeve. He trolled Camila Cabello by using his seniority to get the producers to shut off her microphone on demand, which was funny at first, but they took it too far, as even the contestant on stage expressed that she was trying to listen to the “Bam Bam” singer’s feedback.

It’s great to finally have The Voice back after taking an extended hiatus through the spring, and every coach appeared to be on their A-game, ready to fight. Now if only Blake Shelton could get somebody on his team! Night 2 of Blind Auditions will kick off at 8 p.m. ET Tuesday, September 20, on NBC. Kelly Clarkson may not be joining rival Blake Shelton in the Big Red Chairs when The Voice returns for Season 22 this month, but she still has thoughts about how things are going to go down between new coach Camila Cabello and the cowboy. The Kelly Clarkson Show host had some strong but friendly competition with Shelton, but it doesn’t sound like the OG coach is going to have a problem refocusing his attention on the rookie, who is set to take the seat next to him. In fact, Shelton’s already started his trolling campaign against Cabello.

Kelly Clarkson, who recently celebrated 20 years since winning American Idol, had some kind words for Camila Cabello in regards to the “Bam Bam” singer replacing her on the NBC singing competition. She also had the perfect reaction to Cabello being in such close proximity to Blake Shelton, joking to ET:  

Kelly Clarkson certainly knows what the country star is capable of in trying to win on The Voice. The crossover artist had some blunt critiques of Blake Shelton in Season 21, when he constantly tried to undermine her expertise in country music. Without the talk show host to take aim at, the cowboy has to find a new target for his ribbing, and it’s unlikely that his wife Gwen Stefani — who is returning to The Voice as a replacement for Ariana Grande — will be that rival.

Even so, Camila Cabello seems like she can hold her own, Kelly Clarkson said, and she’s confident that the Cinderella cast member will thrive in Season 22. She said: 

It may be her first season as a coach, but Camila Cabello is no stranger to The Voice, as she was part of John Legend’s team as the Battle Advisor last season. She’s also got something in common with Kelly Clarkson, in that she had a successful run on a competition show as part of Fifth Harmony on The X Factor in 2012.

It will be exciting to see how this new foursome works together, but many are still holding out hope that Kelly Clarkson might return to The Voice someday, and sooner rather than later. After taking the summer off to spend time in Montana with her kids, the talk show host is set to take over the coveted time slot previously held by Ellen DeGeneres and Oprah Winfrey, so it’s understandable that The Kelly Clarkson Show would be her primary focus at the moment.

It’s been a long hiatus for The Voice, as it moved from two seasons per calendar year to just one, but the wait for Season 22 is finally almost over. The celebrities in the Big Red Chairs may change, but Blake Shelton’s antics never will. The country star is returning for his 22nd season on The Voice, and it looks like his need to troll his fellow coaches is back as well. NBC released a trailer ahead of the singing competition’s Season 22 premiere, and Blake Shelton has gone full horror movie stalker with his over-the-top (and high-key threatening) welcome of new Voice coach Camila Cabello. 

Blake Shelton has developed a reputation for causing trouble for his competition on The Voice. His rivalry with Adam Levine outlasted the Maroon 5 frontman’s time on the show, as they bickered over concert ticket sales and non-invites to Shelton’s nuptials with Gwen Stefani. Without Levine, Shelton moved on, and fans loved the “God’s Country” singer’s feud with Kelly Clarkson. Now it looks like Shelton is on the prowl for his next victim in The Voice’s new trailer. Check it out: 

The video shows first-year coach Camila Cabello greeted on set by a huge display of balloons, flowers, and gifts (that “Hope You’re ‘Havana’ Great Season” organizer is going on my wish list). There was also a "threatening" note, however, that read, “You are going 2 lose so bad! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!” as Blake Shelton appears to brandish the world’s largest pair of scissors in the background. John Legend then reveals his own note: “You should never have come back.”

Carson Daly took the hero’s role in the trailer, arriving with a cut-up edition of Heart Throb magazine, asking Blake Shelton to, “Please stop crafting in my dressing room?”

Sure, we all expect the OG coach to be up to his old tricks, but what’s more interesting was Gwen Stefani’s apparent complicitness in her husband’s stalking. Did you notice? For one, she did not receive a threatening note cut from letters of Heart Throb magazine, and I’m not buying the feigned innocence of not knowing who would do such a thing. Blake Shelton may say his wife isn’t very competitive, but I’d keep my eye on this duo if I were Camila Cabello or John Legend. 

Of course, it's all in good fun, and it should be entertaining to have the now-married couple both on Season 22. Gwen Stefani said it’s surreal to be back on The Voice now that she and Blake Shelton are married. The “Happy Anywhere” singers just celebrated their first wedding anniversary after meeting on the show in 2014, with fans getting a front-row seat to the development of their relationship during the five previous seasons that the No Doubt singer was on.

At least if Blake Shelton did form some kind of alliance with his wife during the competition, John Legend and Camila Cabello could gang up on the couple. The two worked well together in Season 21, as the “Bam Bam” singer served as his Battle Round mentor. It’s been a long wait, but The Voice Season 22 premiere is finally in sight. The gang was all there, as The Voice coaches finally returned from an extended hiatus for the taping of Season 22's Blind Auditions. Their reunion wasn’t strictly business, though. The superstar cast also took time for some personal matters, to the tune of celebrating both Carson Daly and Blake Shelton's June birthdays. You can be sure that fellow Voice coaches Gwen Stefani, John Legend and first-timer Camila Cabello were there to honor the longtime cast members, too.

Carson Daly and Blake Shelton are the only members of The Voice who have been on camera for all 21 seasons so far, and the host took to Instagram with some sweet photos of the celebration that the show threw for its OG members. Take a look!

Do you think Blake Shelton and Carson Daly always hold joint birthday parties? God, I hope so. With the cowboy’s birthday on June 18 and Daly’s coming just a few days later on June 22, I bet they’ve gotten into some b-day hijinks over the past decade. 

Meanwhile, Blake Shelton’s wife and returning coach Gwen Stefani looked ready to party (as always) in head-to-toe hot pink, while Camila Cabello and John Legend were also looking mighty nice as they posed in front of a table of goodies. Black-and-gold decorations surrounded a cake that read “Happy Birthday Blake & Carson,” with cookies and plenty of bubbly on hand. Also, a bottle of vodka was pictured, for those who were looking to go a little harder for the birthday festivities. (The birthday boys did wear shot glass necklaces, so I’ve got a pretty good idea of where at least some of that vodka went.)

Even though Carson Daly wore a cap that read, “I Hate People,” he did not seem to hate the fact that his wife Siri surprised him by flying across the country to party with the group, even if her trip ended up lasting less than 24 hours. Indeed, Daly was feeling the love for his Voice family (or maybe it was the vodka talking), because he had some glowing words for the coaching panel’s newest member, as well as the Season 22 talent: 

Camila Cabello isn’t totally new to The Voice, as she served as John Legend’s battle advisor in Season 21, but this will be her first time going head-to-head with her buddy, as well as husband-and-wife coaches Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. She'd probably agree with Daly in saying this was the best group of talent she's seen so far, if only because it's the only example.

Blake Shelton and Carson Daly have certainly bonded over the past 10+ years on the show. Their friendship led to the former TRL host officiating Shelton’s wedding to Gwen Stefani a year ago, as well as their partnership on another upcoming series. Can't wait to see what other celebrations they'll share next. 

NBC still hasn’t announced when in September The Voice Season 22 will premiere, but it appears the show may already be getting a jump on Season 23. Does that mean the network could be going back to twice a year, and if so, could Kelly Clarkson return to the coaching panel? The Voice has certainly mixed things up for its fans ahead of Season 22’s fall premiere. For one, this was our first spring without the NBC singing competition since the show debuted in 2011, as The Voice switched from two seasons per calendar year to just a single outing. The coaching panel is also getting a pretty big shakeup, with eight-time coach Kelly Clarkson stepping away, along with Ariana Grande. 

As Gwen Stefani and Camila Cabello prepare to fill those spots alongside Blake Shelton and John Legend in the Big Red Chairs, The Voice is apparently making some interesting moves that have us wondering if the show might be returning to two seasons a year, and if we could possibly see Kelly Clarkson reclaim a place on the panel.

Is The Voice Coming Back For Season 23 Next Spring?

The Voice announced an open casting call on Instagram early in June, asking for interested musicians 13 years and older to register for one of four casting dates in June. With filming for Season 22’s Blind Auditions taking place June 23 and 24 (as evidenced by the show’s warm-up host Chuck Dukas’ social media activity), it would appear this casting call was for The Voice Season 23. What’s more, the singing competition’s eligibility requirements say participants must be available to travel “for several weeks at any time in October 2022 and May 2023,” which is when pre-recorded episodes and live shows, respectively, are traditionally filmed for the spring seasons, per Heavy. 

And just in case fans think this might somehow still be related to Season 22, supervising casting director Michelle McNulty confirmed back in April that the casting process for the fall season was already completed. So anything happening at this point, unless there was some major catastrophe, is almost definitely for an upcoming season.

Obviously there’s been no official word from NBC on The Voice’s future past Season 22 — or even if American Song Contest will return to that time slot for a second season, for that matter — but it definitely looks like the wheels are in motion for back-to-back seasons of The Voice. If that happens, is there a chance a certain fan favorite coach might return to the Big Red Chairs as well?

Could Kelly Clarkson Return For The Voice Season 23?

If the “Since U Been Gone” singer did, in fact, just need the summer off to spend with Remington and River Rose following her lengthy and painful divorce from Brandon Blackstock, it’s definitely possible that the American Idol winner might be interested in returning to The Voice. After all, her Season 21 victory with Girl Named Tom gave Clarkson her fourth win in eight seasons, making her the show’s most successful coach, boasting a 50% win ratio. Fans also loved her fun rivalry with fellow country star Blake Shelton, and their real-life friendship might be a draw for the singer to return.

We also know she’s been able to fit filming the show into her hectic schedule before. Even this spring, when there was no new season of The Voice, Kelly Clarkson teamed up with Snoop Dogg to host American Song Contest in the same time slot. However — speaking of time slots — The Kelly Clarkson Show is reportedly undergoing a complete overhaul as it prepares to take over the coveted afternoon hour vacated by The Ellen DeGeneres Show, so there is the possibility that the Texas native’s focus will still be on her talk show by the time next spring hits.

Even if Kelly Clarkson doesn’t return for Season 23 — regardless of when it premieres — there’s always a chance she could come back to The Voice at some later point. Season 22 coach Gwen Stefani is proof of that, as none of her six seasons on the coaching panel have come back-to-back. 

With Season 22 yet to premiere, there’s obviously a lot of time for all of these questions to be answered, but fans hoping they won’t have to endure another spring without Blake Shelton’s snark might just be in luck. It’s been a long spring for fans of The Voice, who haven’t gone this long without a season of the NBC singing competition since its debut in 2011. The switch to just one season per year allowed for a nice break for the cast, as John Legend started a residency in Las Vegas, and the show’s only two OG members — host Carson Daly and coach Blake Shelton — got to recharge after 21 seasons. Shelton’s wife, Gwen Stefani, enjoyed having her husband home too, it seems, as the cowboy revealed how she’s put him to work on his time off.

When The Voice Season 22 premieres on NBC this fall, Gwen Stefani will join Blake Shelton in the Big Red Chairs alongside veteran John Legend and first-time coach Camila Cabello. It will be the ska legend’s sixth season on the show but her first since the “Happy Anywhere” singers tied the knot last summer in an intimate ceremony officiated by none other than Carson Daly. They may, in fact, be happy anywhere, but Shelton told People that his wife is fully taking advantage of having him at home on the extended hiatus:

I’m not sure which is less surprising — that Gwen Stefani has enlisted Blake Shelton to help her put her touch on the Oklahoma ranch or that those plans are so extravagant! Equally as predictable is the country superstar’s willingness to do whatever his wife asks, as the couple continues to be the most adorable when talking about each other, just one month shy of their first anniversary.

Gwen Stefani must be really excited about major renovations happening down at the ranch, because she’s also been talking about the big plans the newlyweds have underway. Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in April, the No Doubt singer detailed the apparent “acres of flowers” Blake Shelton has been tasked with:

The country singer has opened up in the past year about how being married to Gwen Stefani has changed him, and as he thinks he’s getting closer to the end of his career, his priorities have shifted to focus a lot more on his family. When he said "I do," Blake Shelton gained not just a wife but also three stepsons last year: Kingston (16), Zuma (13), and Apollo (8), from Stefani’s first marriage to Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. It doesn’t sound like the boys are getting in on the gardening “fun,” however, as Shelton told People:

Umm, yeah, same. 

We’re not sure when exactly The Voice will return to NBC, but it will be fun to see the husband and wife go head-to-head with their teams. Remember, the last time Gwen Stefani appeared on the coaching panel in Season 19, she won it all with Carter Rubin. Camila Cabello may not have been prepared for the situation she was walking into this weekend, when she kicked off the Union of European Football Associations’ 2022 Champions League Final between Liverpool and Real Madrid. While the singer — who will appear as a coach on Season 22 of The Voice this fall — may be used to the captive audiences who attend her concerts, she didn’t take too kindly to the raucous soccer fans. She tweeted that their singing and chanting over her performance was “very rude” in two tweets that have since been deleted.

As the Cinderella actress performed a nearly six-minute number to open the UEFA match, fans of Liverpool and Real Madrid apparently were drowning out Camila Cabello’s set, which included a mashup of her hits “Señorita,” “Havana” and “Bam Bam,” Page Six reported. Shortly after leaving the pitch, she aired her grievances to fans on Twitter:

A few minutes after the initial post, she expanded on her “very rude” tweet, apparently to let fans know she felt disrespected by their actions, and that a lot of work had gone into her performance.

Both tweets were soon deleted. I can see how Camila Cabello would be upset that her kickoff was overshadowed. She and her team certainly put a lot of time and effort into the routine, and it can’t be easy to perform in front of so many people, especially if it’s obvious they’re otherwise distracted. The crowd’s antics, however, aren’t all that surprising, given that these teams have two of the biggest fanbases in the world, and many people pointed out that European football fans are known for providing all the atmosphere they need at matches. 

The 25-year-old changed her tone in subsequent tweets, thanking the UEFA for allowing her to be a part of the event, which she said she enjoyed as a woman who grew up watching soccer with her family. 

The former Fifth Harmony member will return to The Voice on NBC for Season 22 this fall, after appearing as John Legend’s Battle Round advisor in Season 21. It will be her first season in the Big Red Chairs, as she takes the place of Kelly Clarkson, who will presumably be busy with the revamp of her daytime talk show, and she’ll join Legend, long-timer Blake Shelton and Shelton’s wife and fellow music icon Gwen Stefani. Like Clarkson, Cabello brings her own experience of finding success following a reality competition, as Fifth Harmony first struck fame in the UK after appearing on The X Factor.

After months and months of waiting to learn how The Voice’s coaching lineup would shake out for the upcoming season, which skipped the usual spring cycle for 2022, fans now know what new and familiar faces will be around Blake Shelton in the new episodes. Hours after Gwen Stefani was confirmed to be returning as a replacement for Ariana Grande, it was revealed that fan-fave and multi-champ Kelly Clarkson will indeed be bowing out amid suspicion that she would be devoting more time to her talk show’s redevelopment. But thankfully, we already know who was tapped to replace Clarkson.

Former show mentor and Cinderella star Camila Cabello has been tapped to take over the fourth chair for Season 22 in lieu of Kelly Clarkson. The pop star helped break the news on TikTok with a video that The Voice shared on Twitter, which helped make things fully official. Check it out!

Fans will almost definitely remember that Camila Cabello lent her pop-friendly expertise to The Voice in Season 21 when she served as the Battle Round advisor for John Legend's team. That certainly wasn't her only past experience with a reality singing competition, considering she first struck fame in the UK via The X Factor, where she and others formed the popular group Fifth Harmony, before she exited in 2016.

It's been a big year so far for Camila Cabello, who was already coming off of a successful 2021 as the star of the live-action Cinderella musical for Amazon's Prime Video. Her third studio album, Familia, was released to acclaim in April, along with a virtual concert on TikTok. She's set to tour with Coldplay later this year, and will also be performing for the UEFA Champions League Final with a medley of her hits. Not to mention she also made her Saturday Night Live debut in Season 47 as a musical guest for the Jake Gyllenhaal-hosted episode, where she performed both "Bam Bam" and "Psychofreak," with Willow Smith joining the fun for the latter.

Immediate responses to the news that Camila Cabello will be replacing Kelly Clarkson have been pretty split down the middle, at least when it comes to the comments lurking beneath The Voice's official post. While there thankfully aren't many apparent posts slamming Cabello herself, a variety of fans have expressed major disappointment that Clarkson won't be back, and several shared the opinion that they probably won't watch the next season, and will only return for Season 23 if the pop-country singer herself is back in one of the big red chairs. 

To be sure, there are just as many fans who are pumped to see what Camila Cabello will bring to The Voice, even if they'll also be missing Kelly Clarkson in the same breath. And then there are others who don't seem too perturbed by who else is involved, and are mainly pleased to see Cabello's star rising. 

The Voice has yet to reveal when it will return for Season 22, but fans can expect to see it hitting the NBC schedule later this year, with episodes available to stream next day for those with Hulu subscriptions.

The SNL Season 47 premiere also featured Kacey Musgraves making history with her instant-classic performance.

October 9, 2021 - Kim Kardashian West With Musical Guest Halsey

On October 9, Kim Kardashian West hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time, and proved that she actually had great comedic timing. The episode, which was watched by millions of viewers, saw the reality TV star poke fun at her ex-husband Kanye West, multiple members of her family, and even O.J. Simpson to make her mark. The second episode of the season also featured musical guest Halsey, who performed on the very popular show for the fourth time throughout her career.

October 16, 2021 - Rami Malek With Musical Guest Young Thug

On October 16, Rami Malek, hot off the long-awaited release of No Time to Die, hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in his career. One of the highlights of the episode was the sketch that saw Malek share the screen with his 007 co-star Daniel Craig, and SNL mainstay Kenan Thompson, in an audition for a Prince biopic. The third episode of the season also featured musical guest Young Thug, who made his SNL debut with a pair of electric performances.

October 23, 2021 - Jason Sudeikis With Musical Guest Brandi Carlile

On October 23, Saturday Night Live alum Jason Sudeikis returned to his old stomping grounds to host the long running series for the first time since departing the cast in 2013, although he has made multiple cameos during the years since then. The Ted Lasso star was featured in the majority of the sketches, including the cold open that saw three different versions of Joe Biden conversing in the Oval Office. Sudeikis also gave an impassioned opening monologue about the show’s history and what it means to him. Musical guest Brandi Carlile made her SNL debut in spectacular fashion.

November 6, 2021 - Kieran Culkin With Musical Guest Ed Sheeran

On November 6, Kieran Culkin hosted Saturday Night Live for the very first time and became the second Culkin brother to take the stage (Macaulay Culkin had the honor of hosting during the 1991 season). In the years since making his acting debut as the soda-loving Fuller McCallister in Home Alone, Culkin has appeared in movies ranging from Father of the Bride to Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. He has also been one of the major players on the HBO drama series Succession, for which he has received both Golden Globe and Primetime Emmy Award nominations for his portrayal of Roman Roy.

Filling the role of musical guest on SNL on November 6 was Ed Sheeran, who took the stage for the third time in his career. Sheeran previously appeared on SNL in April 2014 and February 2017.

November 13, 2021 - Jonathan Majors With Musical Guest Taylor Swift

On November 13, Jonathan Majors hosted Saturday Night Live for the first time in his young, yet highly-successful career, delivering an impressive opening monologue and showing off his comedy chops in many of the night's best sketches. This probably won’t be the last SNL appearance by Majors, whose career reached new heights following his portrayal of He Who Remains on Loki in Summer 2021, especially with his continued involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Stepping in as the musical guest on November 13 was Miss Americana herself, Taylor Swift, who broke from tradition and gave a single ten-minute performance of "All Too Well." This marked the fifth time Swift has taken to the SNL stage since she made her first appearance on the show in November 2009. Now, we just need to get T. Swift back on hosting duties.

November 20, 2021 - Simu Liu With Musical Guest Saweetie

On November 20, Simu Liu added Saturday Night Live host to his list of 2021 achievements when he appeared on the long-running sketch comedy program. Liu made waves earlier in the year when he portrayed the titular hero in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, making him the third Marvel star (so far) to host SNL this season. Liu is also no stranger when it comes to comedy, as he was a fixture of the sitcom Kim’s Convenience and also made guest appearances on Fresh Off the Boat and Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.

Rap sensation Saweetie served as the Saturday Night Live musical guest for the first time in her career on November 20. In addition to her successful music career, the MTV Video Music Award-winning performer has also been featured on Grown-ish, Wild ’n Out, and Cooking with Paris.

December 11, 2021 - Billie Eilish

On December 11, Billie Eilish followed in the footsteps of Lady Gaga, Taylor Swift, and a few dozen other famous singers who have pulled double-duty as Saturday Night Live host and musical guest. Hot off the July 2021 release of her sophomore effort Happier Than Ever and the long-awaited release of No Time to Die (which features the Grammy-winning title track), Eilish showed off her comedy chops in multiple skits and the impressive opening monologue.

Billie Eilish also took care of the musical duties with renditions of "Happier Than Ever" and "Male Fantasy" alongside her brother and musical partner Finneas.

December 18, 2021 - Paul Rudd With Musical Guest Charli XCX

Paul Rudd officially became a member of the prestigious 5-Timers Club when he hosted Saturday Night Live on December 18, but not in the way in which everyone hoped. Due to an increase in COVID-19 cases in New York City, Saturday Night Live's Christmas episode became a collection of pre-shot segments filmed throughout the week and classic skits from holidays past. Rudd was joined by fellow 5-Timers Tom Hanks and Tina Fey in studio, as well as Steve Martin and Martin Sheen via video. Fey even stuck around to appear alongside Michael Che in the Weekend Update segment.

Charli XCX was originally scheduled to be the episode's musical guest, but her performance was cancelled due to the decision by Saturday Night Live producers to have a limited cast and crew and no live audience due to the uptick in COVID-19 cases, according to a Tweet the singer made.

January 15, 2022 - Ariana DeBose With Musical Guest Bleachers

On January 15, Golden Globe winner Ariana DeBose made her Saturday Night Live debut when she hosted the first episode of 2022. DeBose became the second member of the Hamilton cast to serve as SNL host, and first since the Broadway hit’s creator Lin-Manuel Miranda hosted back in October 2016. To star things off, the West Side Story star was joined by SNL mainstay Kate McKinnon to perform a medley of numbers from Steven Spielberg's 2021 adaptation of the iconic Broadway musical.

Several days before Saturday Night Live was set to air, Roddy Ricch was replaced by Bleachers as that week's musical guest. The Jack Antonoff-led group performed the hit songs "How Dare You Want More" and "Chinatown."

January 22, 2022 - Will Forte With Musical Guest Måneskin

On January 22, Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte returned to 30 Rockefeller Plaza’s Studio 8H, and became the latest in a long line of SNL greats to host the show for the first time (even if he was the last of the core 2000s group to do so). Forte was joined by Kristen Wiig and the two went to town with some of their most iconic characters and tons of laughs throughout the night.

Italian rock outfit Måneskin served as the Saturday Night Live musical guest, performing their hits “Beggin” and “I Wanna Be Your Slave.”

January 29, 2022 - Willem Dafoe With Musical Guest Katy Perry

Willem Dafoe took to Studio 8H for the first time in his legendary career when he hosted Saturday Night Live on January 29. During his hilarious and endearing monologue, the Spider-Man: No Way Home star touched on everything from his over-the-top facial expressions to comparisons with the Joker.

Serving as musical guest was Katy Perry, who performed “When I’m Gone” and “Never Really Over during her fourth appearance on the long-running sketch comedy program.

February 26, 2022 - John Mulaney With Musical Guest LCD Soundsystem

Former Saturday Night Live writer John Mulaney joined the “Five-Timers Club” in a sketch during his February 26 hosting gig with cameos by Steve Martin, Candace Bergen, Paul Rudd, Tina Fey, Elliott Gould, and, most surprisingly, fellow former writer Conan O’Brien. Following a moving, choral tribute to Ukraine, the comedian gave a very personal, but thoroughly hilarious monologue and, later, kept tradition with a new musical sketch that pokes fun at New York’s subway system.

Also appearing in said sketch was musical guest LCD Soundsystem, the Grammy Award-winning rock outfit led by singer James Murphy. For their first appearance on Saturday Night Live since May 2017, the band performed two songs off of their self-titled, 2005 debut album - namely “Thrills” and “Yr City’s a Sucker.”

March 5, 2022 - Oscar Isaac With Musical Guest Charli XCX

Just in time for the Disney+ premiere of his Marvel TV show, Moon Knight, later in the month, Oscar Isaac made his Saturday Night Live hosting debut on March 5. During his opening monologue, the actor mentioned his MCU induction as a segue into showing clips from his childhood home movie - coincidentally called The Avenger - and capping it off with some encouragement for kids to be “weirdos” on the chance that they might host SNL one day.

Performing some tunes from her latest album, Crash, in between the humor was  Grammy winner Charli XCX.  This was the British singer’s second time on SNL, which was supposed to happen the night Paul Rudd hosted on December 18 before her appearance was canceled in response to the Omicron variant in New York.

March 12, 2022 - Zoë Kravitz With Musical Guest Rosalía

Making her SNL debut on March 12 was Zoë Kravitz, whose role as Catwoman in The Batman became a point of conversation that night. Her monologue saw the return of past Catwomen (Kate McKinnon as Batman Returns’ Michelle Pfieffer and Ego Nwodim as Eartha Kitt from the 1960s TV Series) as well as Aidy Bryant as a “Cat Lady” and Chris Redd as comedian Katt Williams. The actress also starred in a Please Don’t Destroy video (featuring a cameo by Riddler actor Paul Dano) in which the titular trio attempt to give their host a cat.

That night’s musical guest was Rosalía, who became the first in the show’s history to sing entirely in Spanish for both performances. This was also the first Saturday Night Live appearance ever for the singer-songwriter whose sophomore album El Mal Querer won the Latin Grammy for Album of the Year in 2019.

April 2, 2022 - Jerrod Carmichael With Musical Guest Gunna

It was actually surprising to learn that Neighbors cast member Jerrod Carmichael had never hosted SNL before he hit the stage when the show returned on April 2, 2022. In his monologue, the actor, writer, comedian, and filmmaker commented on recently coming out as gay on his new HBO Max stand-up special, Rothaniel, and his unwillingness to talk about a certain Oscars ceremony incident before later starring in a sketch about it.

The audience was also treated to a pair of performances by Gunna, who released his third and most recent studio album, DS4Ever, in January. The Georgia-based rapper also starred in a music video with Pete Davidson about some people’s preferences for watching “short-ass movies” depending on the time of day.

April 9, 2022 - Jake Gyllenhaal With Musical Guest Camila Cabello

The last time Jake Gyllenhaal hosted Saturday Night Live was 15 years earlier, followed by a few memorable cameos - most recently in February 2020 as a “guy who travels in pajamas” at LaGuardia Airport. The Academy Award nominee and Ambulance star actually mentioned his Dreamgirls song performance in drag at that first 2007 gig when he re-entered the Studio 8H spotlight, front-and-center, on April 9.

Also celebrating her sophomore SNL gig was Camila Cabello, who previously appeared as the show’s musical guest during Season 45 in 2019. The Cuban-American Grammy nominee, who made her acting debut with Amazon Prime’s Cinderella cast in 2021, was also joined by Willow Smith for the first live performance of their new song, “Psychofreak.”

April 16, 2022 - Lizzo

After making her Saturday Night Live debut as a musical guest on the night Eddie Murphy returned in Season 45, Lizzo made her hosting debut on April 16, 2022, with an opening monologue that she promised would break the record for the most times “bitch” has been said on live TV, and she just might have achieved it. The Grammy-winning artist had previously admitted to being nervous about breaking out in laughter, which did happen often, but actually leant to the appeal of the show and solidified Lizzo as one of this season’s most charming and enthusiastic hosts yet.

The Hustlers cast member also served as musical guest, performing two songs from her new album, About Damn Time (first introduced by herself and secondly by her mother). She also collaborated on a funny track with Please Don’t Destroy and demonstrated her masterful skills with a flute in a sketch that also utilized her twerking talent.

May 7, 2022 -  Benedict Cumberbatch With Musical Guest Arcade Fire

For the second time, Benedict Cumberbatch hosted Saturday Night Live while promoting his lead performance in a Marvel movie - namely Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, this time. This being Season 47’s Mother’s Day show, the Oscar nominee paid tribute to his mother and his wife in his hilarious monologue and later shared the screen with his MCU co-star, Elizabeth Olsen, for a funny moment from a later sketch.

Joining the Five-Timers Club on May 7, 2022 (if the membership rules also apply to musicians) was the episode’s musical guest, Arcade Fire, who also once performed on the show as special guests with then-host Mick Jagger in 2012.  The Grammy-winning, Canadian indie rock group played the two-part song “The Lightning” and “Unconditional (Lookout Kid)” off of their latest album, We.

May 14, 2022 -  Selena Gomez With Musical Guest Post Malone

Former Disney Channel star Selena Gomez, who previously performed on Saturday Night Live as a musical guest in Season 41, made her debut as a host  on May 14, 2022. In her monologue, the Only Murders in the Building cast member made fun of her co-star, Steve Martin (before also appearing in a sketch with him), and paid homage to her days on the children’s program, Barney.

While Gomez did not perform any music that night in Studio 8H, as that gig was secured by Post Malone. This was the first SNL appearance for the Grammy-nominated rapper and Wrath of Man cast member, who was also joined on stage by Roddy Rich and Fleet Foxes.

May 21, 2022 - Natasha Lyonne With Musical Guest Japanese Breakfast

Closing out Season 47 of Saturday Night Live on May 21, 2022 was Natasha Lyonne - the former Orange is the New Black cast member and star and co-creator of Russian Doll on Netflix. The actor made her hosting debut on what would also be the last episode for cast members Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, Aidy Bryant, and Kyle Mooney.

Also making their SNL debut as musical guest was Japanese Breakfast. The Grammy-nominated indie rock group, headed by Korean-American singer Michelle Zauner, performed two tracks from their third studio album, Jubilee, called “Be Sweet” and “Paprika.”

As someone who thought that Season 47 was, overall, a success, I am excited to see what they have in store with Saturday Night Live Season 48.

We’ve seen a lot of Cinderella movies over the years, but never have we seen the rags-to-riches princess belt out J. Lo’s “Let’s Get Loud” in a fairytale finale. Amidst a world of many adaptations of the classic story, Amazon Prime’s take on the story sees Camila Cabello taking on the character alongside Idina Menzel’s evil stepmother and Pierce Brosnan as the king. Now that the movie has been streaming for a week, let’s get to what fans are talking about the movie.

As far as critics go, the reviews for Cinderella were mixed, including CinemaBlend’s review, which gave the movie a similarly mixed three out of five stars. Reviews might have been indifferent about Cinderella, but audiences overall really enjoyed this jukebox musical and had a number of reactions they shared online as to why they enjoyed tuning into the movie written and directed by Pitch Perfect’s Kay Cannon.

Camila Cabello As Cinderella Is Getting A Lot Of Love

First of all, there was a lot of love for Cinderella’s lead, Camila Cabello, who never starred in a movie before this one. Some fans felt like they had to defend their love for the movie online with big claps going her way for her performance:

Camila plays Ella, the stepdaughter of Idina Menzel’s Vivian, who spends her days in their basement doing housework, designing dresses and dreaming of a better life for herself. Another fan pointed out their love for Cabello as Cinderella, while also giving a shout out to the rest of the cast:

I mean, Cinderella has Billy Porter, Minnie Driver and James Corden too! That’s pretty fabulous. Camila Cabello also sings famous songs throughout the film, as well as one she wrote for the movie called “Million To One.” Cabello is also the first Latina Cinderella ever to be spotlighted in a major Cinderella film.

The singer was born in Havana, Cuba and grew up primarily in Miami, Florida before auditioning for The X Factor, becoming a member of Fifth Harmony and later stepping out with a solo career. Cabello was not the only highlight of Cinderella though, as Idina Menzel seriously stole the show too:

Idina Menzel’s stepmother really changes things up from the classic storyline as well and belts out some powerhouse moments, including a fun cover of “Material Girl.”

The Twist On The Cinderella Story Played Really Well

This Cinderella is completely different from your usual take on the story, because it has Ella as an aspiring fashion designer who wants to go to the ball to sell other royalty on her skills. The prince is someone who helps her follow these dreams and comes second to her personal goals. Fans, like the one below, loved this twist for Cinderella:

Lots of parents took to Twitter too to share how impressed they were with Kay Cannon having adapted the story to reflect a more modern and progressive stance on how a young girl might think. It’s true that previous generations have idolized stories like Cinderella and may take in those messages as happily ever after being about leaving one’s life for a man, rather than one’s own passions and desires.

The above dad was really happy to see Cinderella change up the story into something more empowering. And a mother approved the movie after watching many different Cinderella movies with her daughter prior. She loved that Camila Cabello’s character had “choice” in her decisions this time around:

Aside from the story element of Cinderella, the movie also of course had its musical element that mixed old-timey sets with modern music and appeal. One fan really summed it best:

Fans Can’t Get Over The Cinderella Ball Scene

The most iconic element of Cinderella will always be the ball Ella gets to go to thanks to her Fairy Godmother’s magic and this version was no exception. What’s cool about this version is how audiences are rooting for Ella to see her fashion design dreams come true just as much as falling in love with the prince. And audiences definitely fell for Camila Cabello’s prince:

While no, it’s not the singer’s IRL man Shawn Mendes, Nicholas Galitzine played the part well as a prince who does not really want to marry, but gets heart-eyes for Ella. During the movie, the pair sing a famous wedding song, Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect,” and audiences loved it:

The best kind of Cinderella movie will get you all in the feels over the magic of Ella’s big night out, and this one definitely did this with the time Ella and the Prince get together during the ball sequences before midnight.

Oh, and during the ball, Cinderella includes a cover of The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army.” Yes, exactly. It can be random, but fans really loved seeing all the diversity in the sequence along with the song itself.

Other songs that were part of Cinderella were Queen’s “Somebody To Love,” Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation” and Salt-N-Pepa’s “Whatta Man.” It’s not everyday a classic story is told through these songs, but it has been done before with musicals such as Moulin Rouge.

It was a really fun way to see Cinderella play out. Overall, the Amazon Prime musical was a good time for a lot of people this past week. It’s a great time for musicals, and there’s more to come this year with Dear Evan Hansen, Everyone’s Talking About Jamie and West Side Story, among others. Okay, look, did the world need another Cinderella film? No, no it did not. I could have gone my whole entire life without witnessing another adaptation of the classic fairytale that everyone knows about. However, I knew that when I saw the cast and the team behind his film, I had to give it a shot - and honestly, I genuinely enjoyed it.

Say what you want about it, but sometimes, you really just need a basic fantasy film to get you through a long day, and that’s what Cinderella did for me. Amazon Prime Video made a fun film that has a nice, empowering storyline, a star-studded Cinderella cast, great songs featuring the megastar Camila Cabello, and plenty of other bright spots in addition to the many 2021 movies. Here are my favorite moments.

The Whole Opening

I know that a big reason some people were most likely turned off from Cinderella in the beginning was using modern music as part of it compared to many other adaptations of the fairytale, but I actually really enjoyed the opening intro to "Rhythm Nation."

It was a great way to introduce us to the world we are about to step into, and while some parts of the song were questionable (like the step-sisters singing), it was still an enjoyable way to show us what we’re in for.

When Prince Robert Searches For Ella In The Crowd

I mean, how can you not love a moment that’s themed by Queen’s “Somebody to Love” in the background? When Prince Robert spots Ella in Cinderella on the statue of King Rowen’s father and she gets in trouble, the young woman climbs down quickly, but Robert continues to search for her in the crowd, fascinated by her bravery to do such a thing when normal peasants wouldn’t.

I not only found that moment cute, but a nice way to separate Ella from the rest of the characters. Was it a little cliche for her to do something so “quirky?” Yeah, it was, but it still made me smile regardless.

When The Fabulous Godmother Transforms From A Butterfly

Billy Porter has always been mega-talented and influencial, especially with his work in the LGBTQ community, which is why I feel he was the perfect choice for the Fabulous Godmother in Cinderella.

When he begins to transform from the orange butterfly, coming down from above, you can feel the positivity radiating off of him from a mile away, and you know it’s going to be a fun couple of minutes. I mean, come on - who else could rock that beautiful orange dress and those stunning heels? Only a legend himself.

When Ella’s Dress Is Formed From The Petals Of A Tree (And Magic)

I actually really liked this change from the typical Cinderella. In most adaptations, Cinderella’s dress seems to form out of nowhere, just from the magic alone from the fairy godmother. But in this version of the story, the Fabulous Godmother uses the petals from a tree to form her dress, along with the help of bit of sorcery, creating a wonderful moment that is both magical and beautiful. Even her pink/white color is a nice change from the typical standard blue we would see her wear in most films.

When Robert Revealed His Sister Was Wearing Ella’s Dress

Prince Robert had bought Ella’s dress in the market, and for what reason, Ella, didn’t know. However, later on in the ball, it’s revealed that he actually gifted the dress to his sister, the princess, to wear.

It’s not only a sweet moment between the two of them, but a great moment for Ella alone, as it’s the first time she ever sees her designs on someone of worth, on someone that matters, showing that she is talented, and that she can make it in the world. And you can’t deny how wonderful it must have felt to see her mother’s broach represented on someone of royalty.

When Prince Robert And Ella Dance Together For The First Time

I feel like in any Cinderella story, from the original Disney film to the live-action remake in 2015, there’s always the scene where Cinderella and the prince dance together for the first time. And that doesn't change with this version either.

Robert and Ella dance together beautifully, holding onto each other and dancing to a wonderful rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” I found myself smiling so much while watching this. Maybe it’s just the romantic in me - I think I might just need to watch some romantic comedies.

When Vivian Reveals The Real Reason She’s Been Hard On Ella

I think one of the big reasons I actually liked this version of Cinderella compared to many others is that they actually gave character to the evil stepmother. In several adaptations, the evil stepmother is always just that - mean to Cinderella because her father is now dead.

However, they did something different with Idina Menzel’s version of the character, saying that the reason she’s truly hard on Ella is that Vivian was once extremely talented - just like Ella - except with piano, but the moment she started to express interest in it, her husband left her because women were supposed to stay at home, not show interest in things like that. And she wants to prevent Ella from going through something like that and ruining her prospects of a good husband.

Is it on the nose? Yeah, ya bet. But I can still appreciate that the film tried to do something with the stepmother instead of her just being a terrible person.

When Princess Gwen Becomes The First In Line For The Throne

Okay, Princess Gwen was a little too much during this film - her character really never did read the room. But the smile that spread across her lips when King Rowen (played by 007 himself, Pierce Brosnan), declared she was next in line for the throne instead of Robert.

All throughout the film, whether forced or not, she constantly had ideas to bring up but was turned down, oftentimes only for comedic effect. Thankfully, she’s given the chance of a lifetime near the end, and now, she can finally put her ideas to work.

When Ella And Robert Take Off To Travel The World Together With Queen Tatiana

I liked this version of Cinderella’s ending more too. Who says that they have to get married so quickly? They literally just met, why not give them the time to travel the world and be together before jumping into something like that? I think that’s what I liked the most about this - it takes a more realistic approach to their relationship.

Instead of them marrying instantly, Ella and Prince Robert decide to travel the world together with Queen Tatiana, letting Ella live her dream of becoming a designer while Robert finally gets to live the life he wanted, away from the potential responsibilities of being a king and giving the role to the person who deserves it more - his sister. It’s a great way to put a cap on their story - all set to the fantastical “Let’s Get Loud.” How can you not like this moment?

Look, we all went into this film knowing it wasn’t going to be revolutionary. It wasn’t going to be another classic movie musical. But Amazon’s Cinderella did its job of making me smile and taking me away from reality for a couple of hours, and for that, I’m thankful - even if some of the musical choices were questionable (looking at you "Am I Wrong").

There’s nothing quite like a good old Cinderella story. From the classic Disney animated feature to the 2015 live-action remake, Cinderella is a fairytale that has been redone several times in the media, whether that be through a classic retelling or a more modern version, like Another Cinderella Story. Which meant that it was only a matter of time before another was released, this time with an absolutely star-studded cast on Amazon Prime.

Whether or not this will be one of the best Amazon Prime movies is still unknown, but regardless, the Cinderella cast is filled with stars from all over, and I’m sure you have seen them somewhere before, especially the lead, Camila Cabello. If you’re scratching your head, wondering where they might have been seen (or heard) prior to their role, look no further than here.

Camila Cabello (Cinderella)

The title character of Cinderella has to have a beautiful voice that could sing you to sleep, and I couldn’t think of anyone besides Camila Cabello to take on that role. The pop singer hasn't done anything acting-wise prior to her role in Cinderella, but you’ve probably seen her in a couple of music-themed films as guest spots and friends of other stars.

For example, she appeared alongside close friend Taylor Swift in two of her concert films, Taylor Swift: The 1989 World Tour Live and Taylor Swift: Reputation Stadium Tour. She also appeared in the Shawn Mendes Apple TV+ documentary, Shawn Mendes: In Wonder. Cabello has also made appearances in several TV shows as herself, starting off her career as a contestant on The X Factor, and appearing in other projects, such as One World: Together at Home, Saturday Night Live and more.

Hopefully, her first acting role will be a hit, and we'll get to see her in more projects soon enough.

Idina Menzel (Vivian)

As the evil stepmother, Vivian, you have to have an actress who can truly embody what it means to be a horrid person. I can’t think of anyone better than Idina Menzel, who came to prominence when she played probably one of the best known witches in pop culture - the Wicked Witch of the West, otherwise known as Elphaba - in Wicked.

Besides her incredible singing talents on Broadway, which were shown throughout her stints in shows such as Wicked or Rent, Idina Menzel has done plenty in both film and TV. In film, you may recognize her as the voice of Elsa, one of the main characters of the Frozen film series. She’s also made live-action appearances in films as well, such as reprising her role from Rent in the film version, appearing in the film Enchanted (a role which she will reprise in the upcoming Disenchanted), and acting alongside Adam Sandler in Uncut Gems as his wife.

Idina Menzel also had a pretty big recurring role on Glee, where she played Rachel’s biological mother for several seasons.

Nicholas Galitzine (Prince Robert)

Every Cinderella needs her Prince Charming - or, in this version of Cinderella, Prince Robert. The prince is played by Nicholas Galitzine, who has been pretty active within the film and TV world.

Galitzine has appeared in a couple of films prior to his part in Cinderella, including the drama, High Strung, and the comedy-drama, Handsome Devil. He’s also made appearances in the New Zealand-filmed horror movie, The Changeover, and in the TV film, The Watcher in the Woods. As of recently, he appeared in the sequel film, The Craft: Legacy, where he played Timmy.

Nicholas Galitzine has also been active in TV. He guest starred on Legends, and had the leading role in the Netflix original series, Chambers. Now, after Cinderella, maybe we’ll get to see more of him in the coming months.

Minnie Driver (Queen Beatrice)

Minnie Driver portrays Queen Beatrice in Cinderella, and Driver has been a part of Hollywood for over 20 years now, with some major roles under her belt. Back in the late 1990s, Driver appeared in Circle of Friends, GoldenEye, Grosse Pointe Blank, and the Matt Damon-led film, Good Will Hunting.

She went on to voice Jane in the animated film, Tarzan, had a role in The Phantom of the Opera, Owning Mahowny, and voiced Lady Eboshi in Hayao Miyazaki’s Princess Mononoke, along with several other roles.

Minnie Driver has also been very active in television. She had a recurring role on Will & Grace, a lead role on The Riches, as well as on the sitcoms About a Boy and Speechless, and a starring role in the miniseries, The Deep. She’s also recently starred in an episode of the Amazon original series, Modern Love.

Pierce Brosnan (King Rowan)

For a king, there’s truly no one better to play King Rowan in Cinderella than James Bond himself, the wonderful Pierce Brosnan. Brosnan portrayed the iconic 007 spy, James Bond, for four films (GoldenEye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough, and Die Another Day). After that, he went on to star in several films, such as The Fourth Protocol, Mrs. Doubtfire, Dante’s Peak, The Thomas Crown Affair, Mamma Mia! (and its sequel), The Ghost Writer, The Matador, The November Man, and more.

Pierce Brosnan has also appeared in TV. Besides several guest starring and recurring roles, Brosnan had a main role on the crime dramedy Remington Steele for several seasons, starred in the horror miniseries Bag of Bones, and had a leading role on The Son, a western drama. There’s truly no stopping 007 with all of the amazing parts that he has played throughout his career.

Billy Porter (Fab G)

Fab G is fabulous, magical, and everything else that we need in Cinderella, and that fabulous godparent could only be played by the iconic Billy Porter. Porter has appeared in several films prior to his role in Cinderella, including Twisted, The Intern, Noel, Like a Boss and more. Billy Porter has also done plenty in theater, including winning a Tony Award for his portrayal of Lola in Kinky Boots on Broadway, and even played Teen Angel in Grease on Broadway, as well.

While Porter had plenty of guest appearances on TV shows like Law & Order and The Get Down, one of his more prominent roles was playing Pray Tell in the FX original series, Pose, a role that would see him nominated him for several awards. Billy Porter teamed up with Ryan Murphy again for Season 8 of American Horror Story, when he starred in the Apocalypse installment. He’s also set to voice Randall Leibowitz-Jenkins in the upcoming The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, so I’m eager to see what this legend does next.

Maddie Baillio (Anastasia)

You can’t have Cinderella without some evil stepsisters, and Anastasia is one of the two. Played by Maddie Baillio, the young actress has just begun her journey in Hollywood, with Cinderella being her third major role.

Her first step into stardom was playing Tracy Turnblad in Hairspray Live! when it aired on NBC. Her second was portraying Millie Mitchellchuk in the Netflix original film, Dumplin'.

Hopefully, even more wonderful roles will come her way after Cinderella.

Charlotte Spencer (Drizella)

When there’s one evil stepsister, there’s always another backing her up, and that’s Drizella in Cinderella, played by Charlotte Spencer. Spencer has appeared in a few films prior to her part in the fantasy film, such as Misbehavior and The Duke, but she’s also guest starred in several television shows as well.

This includes guest roles in Hotel Babylon, Genie in the House, Glue, and many more. Charlotte Spencer also played Charlotte Appleby in the miniseries, The Living and the Dead, and had a recurring role as Esther Denham in Sanditon and another recurring role as Karen Petersen in Us.

James Acaster (John)

Cinderella can’t go anywhere without the help of the lovely mice aiding her along, and James Acaster is one of those mice, named John. While Cinderella is Acaster’s first major film role ever, he’s been extremely active in comedy, mainly in the United Kingdom.

Acaster has appeared on several panel shows (otherwise known as a game show) that are based in the U.K., such as Mock the Week, Taskmaster, 8 out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You? and so many others. He also currently hosts a panel show called Hypothetical, alongside Josh Widdicombe. James Acaster has also had a Netflix comedy special, titled Repertoire, so if you haven’t listened to some of this guy’s material, be sure to check him out now. He’s seriously funny.

James Corden (James)

Another of Cinderella’s mice, James, is played by James Corden, and I’m sure that there is something out there that you have watched with James Corden in it. The actor is mainly known for his talk show, The Late Late Show with James Corden, where many of his skits and YouTube videos (like Carpool Karaoke) have gone viral.

Besides that, Corden has had a very prominent acting career, both has a musical man and as a regular actor. In terms of television, James Corden has appeared in TV shows like Fat Friends, Teachers, and co-created and co-starred in Gavin & Stacey. He also recently hosted Friends: The Reunion on HBO Max.

In film, Corden has been active for years, appearing in several, such as the comedy Gulliver’s Travels, The Three Musketeers, the musicals Begin Again, Into the Woods, and The Prom, the Trolls film series, and the infamous Cats. He also voiced the titular Peter Rabbit in Peter Rabbit and it’s sequel.

All of these 2021 movies have so many stars, it’s almost overwhelming, and Cinderella only adds onto that list. Here's hoping you can see your favorite again soon after their part in Cinderella.

A dream is a wish your heart makes, and if you were wishing for a new musical to obsess over, you’re in luck. We’re about to see a modern take on the traditional fairy tale Cinderella, and this upcoming film is appropriately titled Cinderella. The romantic musical comedy stars Camila Cabello in her acting debut as the titular princess, and also features Idina Menzel, Minnie Driver, Nicholas Galitzine, Billy Porter, and Pierce Brosnan. This fairy tale marks the first live-action adaptation remake since Disney’s Cinderella in 2015.

In this fairy tale with a modern twist, we see a young Cinderella who lives with her abusive and overprotective stepmother and stepsisters after her father’s death. We’ll be able to see the musical soon, as Cinderella releases on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, September 3. Let’s check out what critics are saying.

We’ll start in-house, as usual. Our very own Sarah El-Mahmoud enjoyed the musical overall, rating it 3 out of 5 stars. She doesn’t necessarily consider this remake a total reinvention of the original story; it’s enjoyable enough, but there are too many Cinderella stories out there already. She also thought some of the movie’s attempts to add a modern-day twist were hit and miss, but overall she still enjoyed Cinderella, shouting out the dynamite cast (especially Cabello and Menzel). El-Mahmoud said:

Courtney Howard from Variety also enjoyed Cinderella overall, but had some criticisms. While she praised director Kay Cannon’s inspired creative approach to make this musical into a fantasy unlike any before it, Howard thought the execution was flawed. She was frustrated with the movie’s inconsistent pacing and character development, which somehow was both underdeveloped and overstuffed at the same time. While she pointed out one musical number as “empowering,” she thought the rest of the set pieces were uninspiring and exhausting and hindered by the cinematography. But Howard did praise Cabello’s performance, as well as Porter’s, whom she thought absolutely stole the show. She said:

Leigh Monson from WhatToWatch also praised Billy Porter’s standout performance, as well as some fascinating subplots, but also had some criticisms. She was frustrated by the movie’s futile attempt to insert feminism into the classic story, as well as the desire for progression for the current age while retaining the whimsy of the fairy tale. Overall, Monson said:

Lovia Gyarkye from The Hollywood Reporter was also pretty disappointed with Cinderella. She thought this “new but not so improved” story should have made more of an impact with its sets and costumes, especially considering that the titular Cinderella wants to be a fashion designer. She also thought the narrative was too thin and didn’t provide enough foundation for the limited amount of jokes to land. Gyarkye wrote:

Kristen Lopez from IndieWire had a more positive review of the musical comedy. She highly praised the musical numbers, giving recognition to the composer Jessica Weiss and the choreography from Ashley Wallen (The Greatest Showman). She also complemented Cabello’s performance, and said:

Well, critics mainly seem to be relatively disappointed with Cinderella. But you can decide for yourself soon as the musical starts streaming on Amazon Prime Video this Friday, September 3.

Camila Cabello is set to sing her heart out as Cinderella in a modern musical version of the titular fairy tale this weekend on Amazon Prime. The pop singer, previously part of girl group Fifth Harmony, has proved to be a powerhouse in her own right, but obviously fans often associate Cabello with her famous boyfriend and fellow singer, Shawn Mendes. Many of us would not have been mad at the “Lost in Japan” hitmaker teaming up for the musical as her Prince Charming.

Cabello’s prince in Cinderella does lay a resemblance to Shawn Mendes, being tall, dark-haired and handsome, but his name is Nicholas Galitzine. He’s an English actor who is just getting started in Hollywood, recently finding a role in The Craft: Legacy. When Camila Cabello was asked why her longtime other half wasn’t invited to dance the night away with her, she said this:

Hey, sometimes you just shouldn’t mix business with pleasure, you know? While speaking with ET Online, Camila Cabello gushed that she loves “that guy” when Shawn Mendes was mentioned in the interview. But him as the prince? She thought it would have been weird. It's perhaps a bit too on the nose for a couple who has a lot of eyes on them already too.

Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes have known each other since 2014 and recently celebrated a relationship anniversary earlier this summer. The couple famously collaborated on the spicy love song “Señorita” back in 2019, along with filming a red hot music video together. The couple have become more public with their romance over the past few years, even taking to social media once to make fun of themselves for the way they kiss in a viral post.

There’s something to be said about a couple like Camila Cabello and Shawn Mendes being great together when they collaborate, but also knowing to step back and let each other have their own moments in the limelight without the other. Even as Cabello celebrates becoming Cinderella alongside Idina Menzel, Pierce Brosnan and Billy Porter, the conversation about her relationship with Mendes is being discussed, so imagine if they were in the movie together.

Camila Cabello’s Cinderella is written and directed by Pitch Perfect’s Kay Cannon and tells a more modernized story of the character, in terms of her love for fashion rather than princes. It’s told in the olden days, but set against some well-known song choices, such as J-Lo’s “Let’s Get Loud” and Queen’s “Somebody To Love.” Cinderella starts streaming on Amazon Prime on Friday, September 3.

The Voice is returning for Season 21 of the NBC singing competition that features celebrity coaches recruiting more celebrity coaches to help would-be singers get their foot in the door of the music industry. And just as the musicians who fill the Big Red Chairs tend to change from season to season — except for OG coach Blake Shelton, that is — so too do the advisors that are brought in to guide team members through the Battle Round. And now we know who to expect for the new season.

With new episodes of The Voice premiering in the not-too-distant future, Kelly Clarkson, Blake Shelton, John Legend and first-timer Ariana Grande announced their advisors for Season 21 after first teasing the identities in a recent promo. Each advisor is a household name and superstar in their own right, but Ariana Grande’s amazing and somewhat unpredictable choice shows that just because she’s new doesn’t mean she’ll be easy to beat. Watch out, Blake, Ariana’s here to play. Let’s take a look at Season 21’s Battle Advisors.

Kristin Chenoweth (Team Ariana)

Ariana Grande is a longtime friend of Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth, and two even performed in 2016’s Hairspray Live! together. It was a brilliant choice for the new coach to bring in a master of the live performance, which Chenoweth recently displayed with a barn-burner of a one-take number in AppleTV’s musical comedy Schmigadoon. Grande and Chenoweth’s respect is mutual, as Chenoweth named the “Save Your Tears" singer as one of her own influences.

Ariana Grande looked taken aback by the compliment, and rightfully so, girl! You just got grouped in with some legends! I can’t wait to see what advice this duo provides for Team Ariana. And now, today's edition of Me Playing Favorites is over.

Camila Cabello (Team Legend)

John Legend also chose a Battle Advisor who can draw from her own experiences with Camila Cabello. Cabello came to fame as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony, which formed on American Idol predecessor The X Factor, before she broke from the group to go solo. Cabello also brings incredible energy to Team Legend, so this should be fun to watch. But the “Havana” singer won’t be the first member of 5H to draw from her reality show experience on The Voice; Normani served as Kelly Clarkson’s advisor in Season 17.

Dierks Bentley (Team Blake)

No surprise here, Blake Shelton is enlisting the help of country superstar Dierks Bentley, who has had an impressive 17 of 25 of his singles reach No. 1 on the Billboard country charts. That is surely the kind of success Team Blake’s members are hoping to emulate. Newlywed Shelton is the winningest coach in The Voice’s history, so I have no doubt that in Season 21, Shelton knows exactly the kind of musician to best provide guidance to his team, even if he should choose to clear the lane for a non-country artist, like last season.

Jason Aldean (Team Kelly)

Kelly Clarkson is always trying to steal country artists from resident cowboy and friend Blake Shelton, and that must be a big part of her strategy in Season 21, as she’s enlisted her own country star, Jason Aldean, to advise her team through the Battles. Aldean can bring the party, as he holds multiple nominations (and three wins) for Entertainer of the Year between the ACM Awards and CMT Music Awards. He and Clarkson even did a country song together back in 2010 — “Don’t You Wanna Stay." That'll surely be the mantra for the singers in battle!

Yet to be announced is The Voice’s Season 21 Mega Mentor, but hopefully it will be someone as dynamic and entertaining as Season 20’s Snoop Dogg (and please, someone else that Blake Shelton can dance to). Julie Andrews, Lily James, Brandy and Drew Barrymore have been among the many on-screen Cinderellas we’ve seen lose her slipper on a stairway over the years. Now it's almost time for 24-year-old pop singer Camila Cabello to run home in a ball gown before midnight with Amazon Prime’s musical take on Cinderella and with a look at a new trailer, the cast alone is enough to be sold on another glass slipper fitting.

Aside from the 24-year-old “Havana” singer starring as Ella in a modern take that the to-be princess as a talented fashion designer, we also have a solid look at who will be starring alongside her and it includes Frozen’s Idina Menzel as her wicked stepmother, Mamma Mia’s Pierce Brosnan as the king and Billy Porter as Cinderella’s fairy godmother. Did I tell you, or did I tell you?

In the trailer above, we get an exciting introduction to what to expect from the Cinderella movie this September and it has some seriously great talent involved along with some especially incredible fashion moments from Camila Cabello’s Ella. Now this has got to be the first time we’ve seen the character don a pantsuit , but she did tell her fairy godmother she wants to be a ‘business woman’ this time around!

Other notable cast members joining Cinderella include Minnie Driver as the queen and James Corden as one of Ella’s mice friends, who turns human by the good-til-midnight wish she is granted. The movie was written and directed by Kay Cannon, who previously helmed 2018’s Blockers and wrote Pitch Perfect 2 and 3 along with episodes of New Girl and 30 Rock.

If you caught wind of the ensemble singing and dancing to Janet Jackson’s "Rhythm Nation," your ears did not deceive you. Cinderella is set to be a jukebox musical that will also feature new music by Camila Cabello as well. Some other songs reportedly in this Cinderella are Madonna’s “Material Girl” covered by Idina Menzel, Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud” by Camila and The White Stripes’ “Seven Nation Army” by the film’s Prince Charming, played by The Craft: Legacy’s Nicholas Galitzine.

The last iteration of Cinderella was in 2015 through Disney’s more emotional and reflective version starring Lily James without the music numbers. This one seems to be focusing on some especially fun elements of the fairytale, by taking the character’s love of fashion to another level. As the trailer teases, perhaps Ella is going to the ball to show off her latest fashion piece rather than looking to be swept away by a prince.

We’ve all heard the tale of Cinderella. We’ve all seen that magic glass slipper slide right off of her foot, and seen Prince Charming try and find his one true love among the women in his kingdom. There have been so many adaptions of this classic fairytale, from one of the original Disney movies back in the 1950s, all the way to the 2015 live-action version with Lily James.

However, there’s a new adaptation coming out soon – one starring none other than pop sensation Camila Cabello. But, there are plenty of other fun facts and updates that you should know about Sony’s upcoming version of the fairytale. From who’s who in this new film to when it might be coming out, this is what we know about the new Cinderella.

Cinderella Is Going To Have A Star-Studded Cast

Alright, it’s not that much of a surprise that the first person you think of when looking at this movie is Camila Cabello. She’s been the main star promoted with the recent shots of the film which were released to the public. However, what you need to know is that this cast is star-studded. Don’t believe me? Here are just some of the actors signed on.

Idina Menzel will star as Cinderella’s stepmother, known in the movie world for her role as Elsa in the Frozen series, as well as her iconic role in the Broadway musical, Wicked. Pierce Brosnan of James Bond fame will be playing King Rowan. Minnie Driver, known for her Oscar nominated role in Good Will Hunting and the sitcom Speechless, will star as Queen Beatrice. Comedian and actor John Mulaney will also have a role as one of Cinderella’s mice – truly the list goes on and on.

Production Has Been Wrapped On Cinderella

Luckily, for fans of the classic story, we thankfully won’t have to wait long for this remake to hit our TV screens for long. Back in October of 2020, Camila Cabello posted on her Twitter page that it was her very last day of Cinderella, along with plenty of the production crew and her fellow castmates.

The film was delayed for a little bit due to the ongoing pandemic, but was able to pick up production after some time so that they could continue. Now, with filming done and post-production in full swing, it won’t be long until we finally see this version come to life soon.

Cinderella Will Take Place In The Modern World

I’ve always been a big fan of studios taking on different versions of classic stories. Just look at Pride & Prejudice and how many different takes its gotten over the years (including the usage of zombies). So, hearing that Cinderella will be a bit more modern than normal excites me.

In a statement from Jennifer Salke, the head of Amazon Studios, she talked about how excited she is for this new look at the story.

I’m not entirely sure if by modern they mean completely modern – like 2008's Another Cinderella Story where it’s a normal girl in a normal world – but even if it is like that, I’m still in support of this remake. It already sounds like a fun change from the what we generally get.

Cinderella Will Have Original Songs And Pop Covers

I know, we all have grown up listening to “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” and while that version is good and dandy, I think it’s about time that we finally stepped into the modern era and released some new princess tunes. And, I can’t think of a better way to do so than with this version of Cinderella.

According to the statement released by Amazon, Cinderella will have a combination of pop songs from contemporary artists across the world, as well as original songs written by none other than Camila Cabello and Idina Menzel themselves. With these two musical geniuses behind the wheel, along with help from pop artists across the world, I’m sure the soundtrack for this movie will have no difficulty reaching the charts quite quickly.

But, I will admit that if Camila does a remix of “A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes,” I will be listening to that nonstop.

Cinderella Will Have Some Big Changes To Its Fairy Godmother

One of the key figures in many Cinderella movies is the Fairy Godmother, who is usually the catalyst for the said Cinderella-figure to go out and head to the ball or whatever event it is that she is going to with the help of the said godmother at her side. This could be a friend for more modern takes or even an actual fairy in the original Cinderella film.

However, in Amazon’s Cinderella, we are going to have an entirely new version of the Fairy Godmother – otherwise known as Fab G, a genderless fairy godparent, played by Billy Porter.

The director of the film, Kay Cannon, recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the change to the classic character, saying that while she had the idea to write the character for Porter, once he was on the cast list, Porter shaped the character himself.

Now those are some high words of praise that have me even more excited for this upcoming remake. Billy Porter has done plenty of amazing work in his several years in the industry, such as the FX hit show Pose and American Horror Story: Apocalypse, but with how versatile this actor is, I’m eager to see him as the classic character with a twist.

Cinderella’s Release Date Is Planned For September

While there’s no set release date yet planned for Cinderella, Amazon has said that the movie is scheduled to release sometime this upcoming September. Hopefully, within the next couple of months, we’ll get an actual date and be able to add that onto the 2021 new movie releases, so we can have a countdown ready.

And who knows? Maybe once this movie drops, it’ll be inducted into the list of best movies on Amazon Prime to watch.

I can’t be the only one who grew up watching princess movies and is excited for this upcoming version of Cinderella. With a cast full of stars and a story that seems so much more different than any other remake of the fairytale, I have a feeling that this Cinderella might be the next best thing. If only September could come to us quicker.

Quarantine has made a lot of changes to people’s day-to-day lives, and for many of the people spending more time than ever at home, life has gotten a whole lot more pantless. (There's even a Snickers ad about this.) While some of us have chosen the sweatpants life, others have opted to forego pants entirely, and that seems to be how Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello roll at home.

After spending some time apart over the last month, the two lovebirds seem to have been able to reconnect and spend some time together at the tail end of October. Shawn Mendes revealed a look at himself and his partner hanging out in a cozy kitchen. The musician’s caption on the post was “reina,” the Spanish word for queen.

The “Wonder” singer had briefly been open about his home life with Camila Cabello earlier in quarantine. Earlier in 2020, it hadn't yet been made clear that Shawn Mendes and Cabello were even an item, at least until they seemingly showed they were social isolating together during Lady Gaga’s quarantine special One World Together at Home. During the special, their performance of “What A Wonderful World” was a highlight.

But living in a bubble eventually came to an end and the couple more recently had to get back to work and do their own thing for a time. He told Sirius XM earlier in October that he hadn’t seen Camila Cabello in “a month and two weeks” also adding on “not that I’m counting.” He mentioned at the time she’d be back soon and from the looks of Shawn Mendes’ most recent month, they are finally getting back to into a home routine.

Shawn Mendes also said recently during the SiriusXM interview with Jim Ryan and Nicole Ryan that he really should have credited Camila Cabello for her help on “Wonder.” The two started out spending time and having casual fun together, but as has happened with a lot of things in 2020, their relationship escalated quickly due to the time they were able to spend together and the challenges they faced.

So, from the looks and sounds of things, the previously fun and flirty relationship between Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello has escalated into something more serious, sentimental and sometimes pants-free. We’ll be sure to keep you updated as the couple moves forward with their careers and their relationship, but in the meantime I really hope Lady Gaga plans another musical event so we can see a little more about what their lives are like at home.

Camila Cabello was just on camera the other day performing with Shawn Mendes for the One World Together At Home concert on network TV. I didn’t notice her bangs being too long, but they were kind of swept to the side for the event and Cabello says they’ve gotten so bad they make here “look like Snape.” Yes, the greasy-haired fan-favorite from the Harry Potter franchise.

No shots at Alan Rickman there, but while Professor Snape may have one of the most satisfying arcs in the Harry Potter movies, he’s certainly not known for having the best haircut or most fashionable look. Weird side bangs is obviously not the look Camila Cabello is going for -- or was before hair salons closed -- so she made a tough decision: She ultimately let her own mother cut her bangs. That some real pressure on her mother, who is probably the unsung hero of this story, just like Snape was in J.K. Rowling's stories.

It should be noted that Camila Cabello is not the first celebrity to embark on this sort of haircutting adventure. She joins the likes of Carson Daly and more, because for whatever the reason there is something highly watchable about celebrities trusting their loved ones with their hair. It’s engrossing, it’s harrowing, it’s usually a disaster. Right now it's basically a national pastime. Take a look.

This time around, she’s just messing with the bangs, so things could obviously be worse for Camila Cabello… and her mother too, given how much pressure is involved with haircuts as well as hair coloring these days. For everyone reading at home, please remember though: bangs are a choice!

Regardless, when it was finally all over, the bangs trim ended up being fine enough, although Cabello kept nit-picking at her mom's horizontal cuts. The good thing? Camila Cabello no longer resembles the well-known Harry Potter character and his awkward long side bangs. I do kind of see her point initially though.

Ultimately, there are worse things than Camila Cabello likening herself to a famous Harry Potter character. As for Alan Rickman, may he rest in peace, the actor probably knew Snape's haircut wasn't the most attractive, and intentionally. So, all's well that ends with a bangs trim and some love for your Momma.

Lady Gaga and late night hosts like Jimmy Fallon had been teasing One World Together At Home for a few days before the unprecedented TV event aired on not one network, but multiple, with collaboration between late night rivals, Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Kimmel to boot. Sure, we’ve seen multiple networks air things like State of the Union addresses in unison before, but this was something different and something special.

Curated by Gaga, a slew of artists, from rockers like The Rolling Stones and Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong to pop culture phenoms like Taylor Swift and Lizzo all shared their own performances on the small screen. Peppered throughout these were interviews with doctors and other people on the front lines, as well as appearances from icons like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey and more. The whole thing made for an event that combined online and primetime viewing, as a 6-hour pre-show streamed ahead of the actual TV event.

All in all, despite people being stuck at home, it was a satisfying night of television and you can see some of the great and fan-favorite performances below.

Eddie Vedder Performs “River Cross”

The Pearl Jam frontman does not do anything in half measures. While he’s simply playing and singing at the same time in his video, he is belting it out here. There were a lot of great performances and I could see how some people may have preferred Billie Joe Armstrong or Stevie Wonder, who played the late Bill Withers’ “Lean On Me,” but this one had my attention a little more. Eddie Vedder has an advantage though, given his incredibly distinct voice.

Celin Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Lady Gaga, Lang Lang And John Legend Perform “The Prayer”

Lady Gaga collaborated on her own performace with Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, John Legend and Lang Lang in a very impressive performance that just cracked my top 5 – though is worth watching for its sheer impressiveness. Lang Lang on the piano is highly entrancing, but I’m also a sucker for people who can play piano really well. Technically one of the greatest achievements of the night, for sure.

Keith Urban Performs “Higher Love”

Steve Winwood’s classic song “Higher Love” was a great song pick for the One World Together At Home event, but the reason this performance ranked so highly for me has nothing to do with the song choice or Keith Urban’s vocals. From an editing standpoint, Urban’s track was one of the most interesting to watch all night, as the video featured him performing different aspects of the song which were then mashed together into a really cool video. Watch it.

The Rolling Stones Perform “You Can’t Always Get What You Want”

Plenty of celebrities chose covers for the One World Together event, but if you are a classic band like The Rolling Stones, you already should have one song in your repertoire that fits the event. Like Elton John also did with his version of “I’m Still Standing,” The Rolling Stones played their classic “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” popping in when their parts started on the song. It’s a cool video to boot.

Camila Cabello & Shawn Mendes Perform “What A Wonderful World”

For me, this was the top moment of the night. Not only does it seemingly confirm Camila Cabeloo and Shawn Mendes are social isolating together, it’s clear they really worked out their version of “What A Wonderful World” and just sound great together. We know this already thanks to “Seniorita,” but this lovely cover will be sticking with me for days and days after the performance. In fact, I’ve already watched it multiple times.

Bonus: Taylor Swift Performs “Soon You’ll Get Better

This didn’t quite make my Top 5 for the night, but all you Swifties out there probably really enjoyed Taylor Swift’s sweet rendition of “Soon You’ll Get Better” and it's definitely worth a mention. Sidebar: The prettiest thing about this video isn’t even her voice but that to die for wallpaper or wall mural.

Ultimately, everyone who performed for the event was doing it with good intentions and each of the performances offered something for fans across the world, which is why global acts like Columbian singer Maluma and Nigerian singer Burna Boy were also included. The One World Together event brought a lot of people together on a Saturday night and should be one event we’ll remember for a long, long time – no matter which performances were your favorites.

November 23- Will Ferrell With Musical Guest King Princess

Will Ferrell's latest hosting of Saturday Night Live will have a bit of fanfare, as he'll join the ranks of the show's "Five-Timers Club." The former Saturday Night Live cast member can now step alongside stars like Candice Bergen, Ben Affleck, and Bill Murray who have all hosted five times, as well.

King Princess is the musical artist, and may not be a name everyone in the mainstream is familiar with. Her song "1950" is fairly popular at the moment, and based on that this appearance should be one that fans of the indie-pop style will appreciate.

December 7-Jennifer Lopez With Musical Guest DaBaby

Jennifer Lopez returns to Saturday Night Live for the third time, though this outing will be different than her appearances in the past. Her third hosting will mark the first time Lopez is not also the musical guest, which means most all her screen time will be in sketches.

Instead, the musical guest this time around will be rapper DaBaby. DaBaby is all the rage right now with his hit single "Suge," which is off his debut album Baby on Baby. I wouldn't suspect J Lo and DaBaby will collab during this episode, but hey, anything can happen when you're live!

December 14- Scarlett Johansson With Musical Guest Niall Horan

Back for the sixth time, it's always a blast when Scarlett Johansson is on Saturday Night Live. That might be because audiences are so used to seeing her in more serious roles in movies, or kicking ass in the MCU.

Saturday Night Live will see another One Direction alumni this season, as Niall Horan will come on as the episode's musical guest. What, is Horan not good enough to be a host as well?

December 21 - Eddie Murphy With Musical Guest Lizzo

For the first time since 1984, Eddie Murphy will host Saturday Night Live. The former cast member of the show is back, which is kind of a big deal, considering how rare his television appearances are. Of course, he's been picking up more projects lately and making appearances on Netflix, so perhaps this is just another push into Murphy being a part of Hollywood's limelight again.

With Eddie Murphy back on SNL, one has to wonder if any other former Saturday Night Live cast members will appear as well. We also have the great Lizzo performing, so this pre-Christmas episode is sure to be a treat!

September 28 - Woody Harrelson With Musical Guest Billie Eilish

With the release of Zombieland 2 happening in October, Woody Harrelson is set to open up the season of Saturday Night Live. Harrelson's hosted Saturday Night Live before, so chances are he knows the ropes and will be able to get Season 45 off to a strong start.

On the musical side of things, "Bad Guy" singer Billie Eilish will be taking the stage to get the audience moving. Eilish's videos have been known for their creepy aesthetic so be on the lookout for a memorable musical performance on this one.

October 5 - Phoebe Waller-Bridge With Musical Guest Taylor Swift

The Fleabag and Solo: A Star Wars Story actress is ready for her closeup, and probably a skit or two with Pete Davidson. She's going to kick off the week off the first show of October, and hopefully give fans more to hope for than a re-emergence of David S. Pumpkins or maybe one of his associates.

Of course, we can't forget the musical guest, who currently has one of the top albums in America. Taylor Swift is psyched to be returning to Saturday Night Live, and to be in the same show as Phoebe Waller-Bridge as well. Swift expressed her excitement for the announcement on Twitter, and is apparently a big Fleabag fan. I think that's a hint these two should be in a skit that parodies the show together.

October 12 - David Harbour With Musical Guest Camila Cabello

While Stranger Things fans are still waiting to see what happened to Hopper, David Harbour is just getting booked to host Saturday Night Live like it's no big deal! His hosting date is a little early for Black Widow promotion, so this could be to promote the release of his upcoming film Dhaka. It may also be to promote a Stranger Things Christmas special, which isn't known to be a thing at the moment but it could be!

Camila Cabello is tagging in as the musical guest for this episode, which is quite the glow up for the former Fifth Harmony member. Expect Cabello to perform her mega hit song "Havana," and possibly her other single "Never Be The Same."

November 2- Kristen Stewart With Musical Guest Coldplay

Kristen Stewart is back to host Saturday Night Live, which we can hope will be completely devoid of Twilight skits now that it's been so long. No musical guest has been announced just yet, unless of course Stewart has decided to make this the debut of her singing career. It wouldn't be the worst way to launch a singing career.

Stewart's return to Saturday Night Live comes three years after she created a viral moment on the sketch series by dropping an f-bomb during the show. Stewart quickly assumed it would be her last time being on the iconic NBC staple, but obviously, that wasn't the case.

November 16- Harry Styles

This will be Harry Styles fifth time on Saturday Night Live, but the first time he will actually be host. The former One Direction member turned solo artist will strut his stuff and attempt to show the world he's more than just a pretty face with an angelic voice.

And if Styles isn't the best actor, at least he has two musical performances to remind Saturday Night Live why to invite him back in the future. Who knows, perhaps he'll surprise viewers and be a Justin Timberlake caliber of SNL host?

It's October, the month that is best known for Halloween-related activities. Getting scared comes with the seasonal territory. 'Tis the season, as it were. But Spotify might've gone a bit too far, at least when it came -- weirdly enough -- to an ad centered around Camila Cabello's hit single, "Havana." The streaming service saw an ad featuring the popular single banned, as the commercial was deemed too frightening. Here's what we know about the peculiar turns of events involving Cabello and a creepy doll.

An ad for Spotify centered around Camila Cabello's record-topping single was taken off of TVs in the U.K. after it was considered "too scary." The commercial, which centers around a couple and several other young people being terrorized by a very peculiar demonic presence every time they listen to Cabello's famous tune, was meant to celebrate "killer songs you can't resist" available on Spotify. Television audiences in the U.K., however, weren't amused by the antics portrayed in the intentionally unsettling one-minute ad.

Per Billboard, specifically, the country's Advertising Standards Authority considered the commercial to be "distressing and too scary" to be broadcast on television. While that would technically make the commercial a success, as it wasn't meant to be, you know, un-scary, the ASA ultimately felt it wasn't suitable for television and decided it needed to be removed from the nation's telecasts. In our Internet age, that does draw the commercial more attention, particularly if it has a reputation for being "too scary" to be on television. In that sense, it's ultimately a successful commercial for Spotify's services.

If you are willing to watch the Spotify ad that was considered too scary for its own good, check out the commercial below. Be warned: it is a little spooky.

Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Spotify released a statement about the ad, admitting that the company "regret[s] any distress" the ad might've caused viewers. Apparently, it was meant to be "a tongue-in-cheek horror parody -- intended to be a humorous ad that demonstrated just how catchy some tracks can be." Ultimately, though, the spokesperson speaking on Spotify's behalf claim the service will be more "mindful" of what it puts on television.

While some people love getting scared just before Halloween, other people don't find themselves quite as eager to be scared, and this Spotify ad ultimately did a number on the latter type, it seems. In any case, it succeeds in making Camila Cabello's very popular song seem "scary." Too scary, in fact, for some people's liking. In its own small way, that should be considered a feat. It's not every day someone -- let alone more than a few people, based on the swiftness of the ad being pulled from television -- spend their long day talking about how scary Camila Cabello is.

During the Grammys, singer-songwriter Camilla Cabello took the stage to discuss her life as an immigrant. But she wasn't the center of the moment. Instead, Blue Ivy, the six-year-old daughter of Beyonce Knowles and Jay-Z, stole everyone's attention when she seemingly told both of her parents to quiet down their applause. The moment sparked an internet sensation, unbeknownst to Cabello. Now, one month later, the musician doesn't know what to think.

The quote, from Camila Cabello's interview with BBC One yesterday, shows that even she cares about Blue Ivy and her opinion. Cabello is in serious doubt about what happened with Blue Ivy at the Grammys and how she might've potentially offended the famous daughter. But The "Havana" singer is confident that if she was given a chance to interact with Blue Ivy and they got to know one another, Blue Ivy would come around on the young musician. Beyonce, keep that in mind if you're ever looking for a famous babysitter.

As host Nick Grimshaw later told Camila Cabello, the moment was potentially misinterpreted by both an anxious Cabello and the media jumping to conclusions. It's quite possible that the child of Beyonce and Jay-Z was simply telling her musician parents to keep it down because Camila wasn't finished with her speech, not because she wanted them to stop applauding for her. Of course, it's hard to tell what a six-year-old is thinking, at any point in time. So it's equally possible that she was annoyed as she was respectful. The latter seems more credible, given the circumstances and overall more adorable.

Even if Camila Cabello can't get Blue Ivy on her side, things are looking up for the pop singer. She recently announced the dates for her first-ever tour last week, which goes from April to June. Her first studio album, Camila, was released on January 12th, and it's the first album she released since separating from Fifth Harmony. The music was met with strong reviews, and she's happily forging her own path, whether Blue Ivy likes it or not.

Meanwhile, Blue Ivy recently became a big sister to eight-month-old twins, Rumi and Sir. Her mommy also took the liberty of trademarking her name (along with her siblings) recently, which isn't something that happens every day. It would seem things are going well for both Blue Ivy and Camila, although if some generational beef were to arrive between the two somehow, you know you'll find out all about it here.

Fifth Harmony had a big night at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards over the weekend. The foursome girl group won Best Pop Video, gave a memorable performance, and worked in a few shots at former band member Camila Cabello. In fact, the girls in the pop group not only threw shade at Cabello; they launched a fake version of her off the stage.

It all started when the four members of Fifth Harmony--Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen, Lauren Jauregui, and Normani Kordei---and a fifth person kicked off the performance from the top of a large box. They first sang a snippet from the track "Angel" off their new album. All five of the women wore puffy jackets that suddenly flew off and hurled backward, and with the coats went the fifth person, who had been standing in the middle. Later, MTV tweeted a hilarious clip of the stunt, which nodded at Camila Cabello's exit.

Once the extra person had dropped off the stage, the four Fifth Harmony members still standing continued singing their hit single "Down" along with rapper Gucci Mane. The fifth person hurtling backward off the stage (most likely) was a reference to Camila Cabello getting ripped out of the group last year. During the performance, the camera scanned the audience and showed celebrities like DJ Khalid, Hailee Steinfeld, and Vanessa Hudgens having a blast.

The stunt was not the only time Fifth Harmony got in a dig at Camila Cabello. At one point, the women got asked whether they would give Cabello one of the VMA Moonmen if they received five, not four. The group fell into silence for a split second, and then Normani Kordei chimed in that they would, in fact, give the fifth Moonman to their choreographer if they won for Best Choreography. Last year, Fifth Harmony shocked fans by announcing Camila Cabello had decided to quit the group and focus on her solo career. In fact, the announcement supposedly came as a surprise to Cabello, since she believed the other girls in the group were fully aware of her intentions and didn't need to be so blunt in the statement. Nevertheless, Camila Cabello did leave the group for a solo career. Fifth Harmony did carry on without her. And the group did not change its name.

During the event, Fifth Harmony took shots at Camila Cabello. Taylor Swift released her new music video, which takes shots at stars feuding with her, the media, and herself. Katy Perry, Paris Jackson, and other celebs took shots at politicians and the state of the world. So, it was a pretty shady VMAs this year. But maybe they wanted to give us a reason to use our eclipse glasses one more time.

Fifth Harmony just got downsized to Fourth Harmony. The hit-making girl group shocked fans late Sunday night by announcing that singer Camila Cabello has decided to continue her career solo. Just call her Miss Movin' On.

But there was actually one part of Camila Cabello's exit announcement that even shocked Cabello herself! Following Fifth Harmony's post of the split on Instagram, Cabello took to her personal Twitter account to dispute the group's claim that she had informed the group of her split through representatives. Cabello wrote that she was not told that the group's Instagram account would be posting that statement, and that she was shocked to read that it claimed she communicated with the other four women through her representatives, saying that she had personal conversations with the other singers about the split various times while they were on tour together.

Despite the bit of contention, Camila Cabello went on to assure fans that she is rooting for the other four women and wishing them success, and thanked her fans for their support. She also announced that she will be spending 2017 working on her own music as a solo artist.

Camila Cabello's note is in response to a post that the remaining four members of Fifth Harmony posted to their official Instagram account on Sunday night, confirming the news that Cabello has left the pop group and assuring fans that remaining members Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane Hansen, and Lauren Jauregui would continue as Fifth Harmony. Despite no longer including five members, it sounds like the group will not be changing their name following Cabello's exit.

Camila Cabello's departure from the group came as a shock, but not an altogether surprise for hardcore Fifth Harmony fans, who have noted some tension between Cabello and the rest of the women for some time now. More than the group's other members, Cabello has been branching off with her solo work recently, releasing chart-topping singles with Shawn Mendes and Machine Gun Kelly, and fans picked up on some possible shade towards Cabello from the other young women in a FaceBook Live video earlier this year, E! News reported. To add fuel to this fire, Billboard is also reporting that Cabello's departure from Fifth Harmony comes at the very first moment possible, bringing up the allegation the her contractual obligations with the girl group ended on Sunday as well.

Only time will tell if this was Camila Cabello's Beyoncé leaving Destiny's Child moment.
