As if it’s not enough knowing that the Jonas Brothers have been a band for twenty years, the boy band also went back down memory lane recently by reprising their roles as Connect 3 in Camp Rock 3. Ahead of the streaming release joining the 2026 TV schedule sometime in the new year, I’m getting emotional over what the JoBros said about returning to the Disney Channel franchise.

In celebration of the band’s 20th anniversary in 2025, People talked to the Jonas Brothers about their careers. While looking forward to Camp Rock 3, they had some sweet comments. Let’s start with Kevin Jonas:

While I know I thought they were instantly famous the moment I saw them on Disney Channel as a kid, as I’ve gotten older and they’ve spoken more openly about their journey thus far, I’ve learned that they had a much more rocky journey to becoming pop sensations. For example, one time they told the chaotic story of how Joe Jonas auditioned for Camp Rock.

It sounds like initially Joe’s role of Shane Gray was all Disney was looking for, but by some strike of luck, they all got cast, and the rest is history. Joe Jonas also added this about going to the Camp Rock 3 set:

It was officially announced that Camp Rock 3 was happening back in September while the project from Disney Branded Television was filming in Vancouver. All of the Jonas Brothers are back to play Connect 3 in a storyline where they lose their opening act for a “major reunion tour” and decide to go back to Camp Rock to find “the next big thing” as their replacement. Here’s what Nick said about the experience:

Camp Rock happened for the Jonas Brothers amidst their act starting to gain traction for their first album, It’s About Time. Before they knew it, they started a working collaboration with Disney and were all over Disney Channel. Before Camp Rock, I remember seeing them cover classic Disney songs on Radio Disney and guest-starring on Hannah Montana, but starring in their own movie (alongside Demi Lovato and her Camp Rock knees of course) was an even bigger deal.

For the new Camp Rock, they’ll be passing the torch to some new campers, but it’s great to see they are involved alongside Lovato also producing. It sounds like it was a really lovely experience for the trio.

Oh, and they recently had a Christmas movie come out on Disney+ and are already brainstorming what holiday to do a movie about next. It’s a great time to be a fan of the Jonas Brothers, and I can’t wait to get emotional with them when Camp Rock 3 comes out.

Many millennials, like myself, have seen Demi Lovato grow up alongside us from our childhood Disney days. From branching out beyond the House of Mouse to seeing the initial Poot meme and its turbulence, we’ve seen it all. Yet the triple threat continues to surprise us, as she just dressed up as the infamous Tumblr fictional twin sister for Halloween, and I’m a little obsessed.

Before we jump into the full getup, let’s get into a brief backstory, in case anyone needs insight into one of the best Halloween costumes of recent Hollywood history. Essentially, in the mid 2010’s the “Heart Attack” singer had an overexposed photo of her (with extra short hair) taken by a fan. The bright white image circulated online but took off after an enlarged, edited version surfaced, complete with backstory which was posted to Tumblr.

Without further ado, here’s the Poot meme costume alongside the original image. And a bunch of fun onset looks of Lovato embracing the once tortuous viral post:

I just don't want to look away! Add this to the best of Halloween 2025, alongside the dog dressed as Taylor Swift's engagement ring and Reese Witherspoon’s on-set Halloween spirit. I’m so pleased that she’s embraced Miss Poot Lovato on this entirely new level. The whole post is gold but her leaning into the lore is top tier.

The power of a meme can drastically change the makeup of anything, with Poot Lovato being no exception. Understandably, the former Disney star was initially distraught over the persona because she believed it to be an unedited photo. Fortunately, she turned the page on the feeling and has embraced it since. And thankfully for her fans we can revel in this 2010’s Tumblr tab in all of its glory.

Naturally, I wasn’t the only to be all-in on this nod to the 2015 phenomenon. Many fans were in the comment section, including some of her Hollywood pals, raving about the return of Poot:

This hasn’t been Lovato’s first splashy internet moment of 2025 that’s not even including her latest album, It’s Not that Deep, which was released on October 24. She first took the internet by storm after performing “This is Me” at Disneyland. Then it was confirmed Camp Rock 3 was in the works (which is likely slated for the 2026 movie schedule), but dressing as Poot Lovato still tops the rest, for me.

I hope plenty of Millennials, Lovatics, and/or combination of the two are reveling in what a BAMF (I certainly am) Demi Lovato is for returning to the Tumblr era. Even though Poot Lovato certainly wasn’t the rabbit hole I was expecting to re-enter for Halloween weekend, I’m pretty pleased to be here all the same.

If you were growing up in the early 00s, chances are you were around for the Camp Rock movies on Disney Channel. The made-for-TV movie musical brought together the Jonas Brothers at the height of their early fame and a new star at the time, Demi Lovato, to follow the success of High School Musical. Well, apparently these former teen idols are ready to make Camp Rock a trilogy!

Camp Rock 3 Is On The Way With The Jonas Brothers Back In Their Roles

Thanks to a press release from Disney Branded Television, we can confirm Camp Rock 3 is officially on for Disney Channel and Disney+, albeit after the 2025 TV schedule has expired. The Jonas Brothers will reprise their roles as Connect 3 band members alongside a cast full of "new campers". Check out this post from the JoBros on the set of the movie:

Joe Jonas previously hinted on himself and his brothers returning to Camp Rock back while they were on an episode of Hot Ones Versus together (which came out on August 12). When challenged to read his most recent Notes app entry or eat a "death wing", he responded by reading out loud "Read Camp Rock 3" before saying "Sorry, Disney!" While it wasn't completely clear if it was a bit at the time, now we know he was being completely candid. The movie comes following their return to Disney Channel for their upcoming Christmas movie, which is among 2025 movie releases for this holiday season.

In the upcoming sequel, Connect 3 will lose their opening act for a "major reunion tour" and decide to go back to Camp Rock to find "the next big thing" as their replacement. Camp Rock 3 has already started filming in Vancouver as of this week, with a new cast of young talent, and another familiar face. Wizards Of Waverly Place's Maria Canals-Barrera will also play Connie again, who is Mitchie's mom and the camp's cook.

Joyride's Sherry Cola will play a new character named Lark. Among the young leading cast will be Descendants actress Liamani Segura as a "bold and determined" talent named Sage, her brother Desi (played by newcomer Hudson Stone), along with a cello prodigy named Rosie (Lumi Pollack), a drummer named Cliff (Casey Trotter), Brooklynn Pitts as a "choreo queen" named Callie, an "intimidating influenced named Madison (Ava Jean) and the camp bad boy Fletch (Zombies 4 actor Malachi Brown).

But, Demi Lovato Is Not Expected To Play Mitchie Again

It's exciting news, there is one caveat, Camp Rock fans. While all the Jonas Brothers are confirmed to guest star and executive produce, Demi Lovato is apparently only coming back in EP capacity rather than reprising her role as Mitchie Torres. She posted about the news on her own Instagram story. Check it:

The announcement comes just about a month after Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers reunited to sing Camp Rock together during the JoBros first show of their current tour celebrating two decades as a band. I can't believe that they won't reunite in Camp Rock 3 after this happened:

Of course, just because a press release doesn't say Demi Lovato has been cast, it doesn't mean there could be surprises left for fans. Lovato has been embracing her Disney Channel past a lot more on social media lately.

I would also love to see Alyson Stoner reprise her role as Mitchie's bestie Caitlyn. I certainly hope more original stars aside from Jonas Brothers make an appearance at some point in the film, but seeing them back in Camp Rock will be amazing in of itself. It's also great see Lovato involved in a producer capacity, even though I wish she had a leading role.

Celebrities love visiting Disneyland Resort as much as the rest of us, but when that celebrity is also a former Disney star, it’s like the stars have aligned to give us something great. Such was the case when Demi Lovato recently visited the Happiest Place on Earth and brought her “Camp Rock Knees” with her.

If you’ve seen the Disney Channel movie Camp Rock once or a hundred times, you need no explanation. (If you haven’t, get a Disney+ subscription and watch both it and its superior sequel immediately.) Demi Lovato’s knees have become famous due to the TV feature, at least on the internet, and on a recent trip to Disneyland that she posted to TikTok she broke out the performative knees and the film's song “This is Me” in various spots across the resort. Check it out.

As a fan of the Camp Rock movies and of Disneyland, this is the best thing I’ve seen on the internet in quite some time. It’s fun and funny, and I’m not the only one who thinks so. The replies to Lovato’s video are full of comments loving this, and they’re not just from fans but from other stars and major organizations.

Demi Lovato Got Evac’d From Radiator Springs Racers

If you pay attention to the video, you’ll notice one of the spots where Demi Lovato breaks out the knee bends is while she’s walking along the track of Radiator Springs Racers, one of the best rides at Disney California Adventure. It turns out the ride briefly broke down while she was on it, requiring Lovato and her friend Ally Pettitti, who posted to TikTok, to be evacuated.

It’s one thing to break out the “dis-knees” at Lovato calls them, on Pixar Pier, it’s quite another to be able to do it in a place that most people don’t. As a Disney celebrity, Demi Lovato probably gets special opportunities to see things most guests don’t, but it’s sort of hilarious that in this case, it happened because something broke down.

Many Disney Channel stars have distanced themselves from the Mouse House after moving on in their careers and Lovato has some very justifiable reasons if she chose to do the same. As a fan, it’s great to see her still embracing her Camp Rock youth, which so many clearly love.

Scooter Braun – arguably one of the most successful managers and music execs in Hollywood – has seen some major changes to his business dealings as of late. In recent weeks, he’s lost a number of high profile clients. Those who’ve since left his agency are Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato and Idina Menzel. It’s also been reported that Justin Bieber is planning to part ways with him. It’s likely that many are wondering why so many stars are pulling away from the businessman. Well, an insider dropped some details on why the A-listers supposedly made the decision to split from Braun.

On the outside looking in, it would appear that all of this is happening quite suddenly. A source, however, claims it’s actually the opposite. They allege that the dissolutions of these business partnerships have been on the horizon for some time now. They also say that the relationships between the Schoolboy Records and his clients were strained due to a professional change on his part: 

In 2021, Scooter Braun became the CEO of HYBE America after the South Korea-based parent company purchased Ithaca Holdings from Braun and the Carlyle Group. 42-year-old Braun has since taken on new responsibilities as a result. But as the source claimed to ET, those have allegedly had a less-than-positive impact on how he’s been handling his talent. The unnamed individual shared another sentiment with the news outlet in regard to how Braun supposedly feels about his managerial obligations: 

The stars at the center of this situation have remained mum, though rumors about their exits have continued to swirl. A source that’s reportedly close to Demi Lovato told ET that the split was “amicable.” Lovato has since signed a new management agreement with Good World Management, which is headed up by Brandon Creed. Meanwhile, it’s been said that Braun’s breakup with Ariana Grande is a bit more complex. One insider asserts that Grande’s affair with Wicked co-star Ethan Slater factored into her decision. Grande’s former manager purportedly didn’t provide her with ample support amid the flurry of backlash she faced after her relationship with Slater was divulged.

At this point, many eyes are likely on Justin Bieber, as he apparently makes business moves for the future. He and Scooter Braun seem to have had a complex working relationship – one that hasn’t been without occasional drama. Braun actually used to fear for Bieber’s life years ago due to the Grammy winner’s lifestyle. On the flip side, it was rumored that Bieber became entangled in Braun’s feud with Taylor Swift over her masters, with the specific link being his past relationship with Selena Gomez.

Scooter Braun does, of course, have other clients, yet it’s hard to deny that he lost some heavy-hitters. The man himself poked fun at the situation by posting a manager-related joke to X. Still, one can’t help but wonder if or when more clarity on Ariana Grande and co.’s exits might arise.

Demi Lovato has always been one to push boundaries when it comes to the content she releases. That’s especially true when in the case of the award-winning singer’s latest studio album, Holy Fvck. The music compilation, which was released in August 2022, managed to make quite an impression with critics as well as her fans. However, the album cover – which has since been translated into a poster – has caused a bit of a stir across the pond. It would seem that the one-sheet was just banned in the UK.

It was confirmed that the poster is “likely to cause serious offence to Christians..” This comes by way of a ruling shared by the Advertising Standards Authority, which reportedly received four complaints from bystanders after the ads started appearing around London last year. The sheet, which was removed after four days, shows Demi Lovato sporting a bondage-style outfit while lying across a large cushioned crucifix. The advert also includes the album title Holy Fvck, though you can see the textless version down below:

In the UK, advertisements “must be prepared with a sense of responsibility” and, with that, they should not include anything that is “likely to cause serious or widespread offence.” The ASA determined that the image of the “Confident” singer is “likely to be viewed as linking sexuality to the sacred symbol of the crucifix and the crucifixion,” meaning it could offend people of faith. Additionally, the organization reasoned that most individuals would see that “the ad alluded to the expression ‘holy fuck’.” Universal Music Group division Polydor Records, for its part, argued that the poster was not disrespectful and was only meant to advertise the album. 

This is far from the first time that a poster of any kind has stirred up controversy for being perceived as highly provocative. CinemaBlend has even documented the most notable banned movie posters to ever be created. The list includes notorious ads for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Saw II and Zack And Miri Make A Porno. As you’d expect, the exact reasons for these images being banned vary, as the studios sought to find different ways to promote their productions. 

While Demi Lovato’s latest project has been chastised for the photo that it includes, she’s received praise for the music itself. Holy Fvck is one of her most personal albums to date, as it covers her struggles with addiction, mental health and more. The fan-favorite artist has been candid about a number of personal topics over the years – including her eating disorder and 2018 overdose, which left her with brain damage. And in her 2021 documentary, Lovato also claimed she was raped while working on a Disney Channel movie years ago.

As of this writing, neither the singer-songwriter nor Polydor Records have provided further comment on the removal of the posters. One would think that the move wouldn’t have too much of an impact on the album’s performance, as it had already sold 33,000 units by the end of August. It remains to be seen whether the poster will go down in infamy like some of the aforementioned ones, though it’s fair to say that it’ll leave an impression for some time.

Ever since the release of her third album, Cuz I Love You, Lizzo has been unapologetically living her best life as a Grammy winner, game show host, and Instagram baddie. But she’s also an outspoken advocate for feeling good in your own body.

Let’s talk about how Lizzo and these eight other celebrities are contributing to the body positivity movement in big ways.

Lizzo

Not only does Lizzo talk the talk when it comes to body positivity, she walks the walk: within the past year she launched her size-inclusive shapewear/activewear line, Yitty, which includes sizes XS to 6X. But, she also embarked on a quest to find back up dancers that evolved into a revolutionized approach to competition game shows. The heart, kindness, and girl-on-girl support in Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls surprised critics and even won an Emmy for outstanding competition series.

Lizzo’s discography is also full of self-love anthems, including her Grammy-nominated single “About Damn Time.”

Brendan Fraser

Critics were quick to judge Brendan Fraser’s body when he returned from an acting hiatus this year, but The Mummy star also received backlash for donning a fatsuit for his role in the recently released 2022 movie, The Whale. In response, Fraser spoke candidly about his own experiences with weight in a Newsweek interview:

Fraser worked closely with the Obesity Action Coalition, as detailed to Vanity Fair, to prepare for the role of a 600-pound man named Charlie in The Whale, working to portray the character in a respectful and knowledgeable way. 

Fraser also recently spoke out against the insane diet he was put through for his 1997 role in George of the Jungle during a Variety interview, saying his brain was literally “misfiring” from lack of nutrition.

I’m so glad to see Fraser return to the screen this year, but I’m even more glad he’s speaking out about the ways beauty standards in the movie industry have messed with his health.

Jameela Jamil

Jameela Jamil first came out as a critic of “diet culture” when she saw press material of herself for The Good Place and barely recognized the highly-edited photograph. In the years since, Jamil has taken a stand by refusing to allow publications to edit her photos.

Jamil has also been known to take to Twitter to call out celebs who promote unhealthy body images—for example, she’s called out more than one member of the Kardashian family for promoting detox supplements and using disparaging language about losing weight.

Serena Williams

It’s hard to imagine anyone hating on legendary tennis athlete Serena Williams, but even champions have to deal with societal pressures to look or act a certain way. 

In addition to the struggles she faces as a woman of color in a male-dominated field, Williams has also been criticized for looking “too muscular,” but comments like this don't phase her. She had this to say in an interview with Vogue UK:

Williams continues to be an advocate for loving your body and appreciating all that it’s capable of. After all, it’s Williams’ strength and so-called “big arms” that made her the greatest tennis player of all time.

Jonathan Van Ness

Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness took to Instagram and Tik Tok earlier this year to share their “wellness journey.” They had this to say about people commenting on their weight change:

Since sharing the video, JVN has continued sharing updates about their physical transformation as they train in gymnastics. We love Jonathan Van Ness for reminding us that weight loss is not the overall goal of health and physical fitness.

Laverne Cox

Trans model, actress, and activist Laverne Cox says she used to hide the things that made her “trans,” but now she’s learned to love and accept her body despite not fitting into Hollywood’s narrow beauty standards. Cox shared her thoughts on passing at the Daily Front Row’s Fashion Media Awards (via Page Six) in 2015:

Perhaps most importantly, Cox also addresses her privilege as a person of wealth with access to products and treatments that the average person does not.

Demi Lovato

Having grown up in the spotlight, much of Demi Lovato’s personal life has been the topic of celeb gossip. However, the former Disney channel star has learned to be very open with the public about her struggles with body image.

Lovato previously shared with fans that she had recovered from an eating disorder by devoting herself to exercise. Years later, Lovato shared with fans that her workout habits had turned into an exercise addiction.

I respect Lovato so much for not only speaking out about her history with eating disorders, but speaking out again when she realized her healing journey wasn’t complete. She’s also a big advocate for “body neutrality,” which she summarized in a 2019 interview with Teen Vogue:

Shout out to Lovato for keeping it real and honest when it comes to her healing.

Sam Smith

“Unholy” singer Sam Smith has become a role model for body positivity by sharing uplifting posts to Instagram, starting with a vacation pic where they encouraged followers to let nothing stop them from feeling the sun on their skin:

Smith has since become a champion of loving our “fluctuating bodies,” sharing that body image issues are especially difficult for them during the holiday season. The singer had this to say on Instagram (via NME) about loving yourself despite of the number on the scale:

“You aren’t alone” is my favorite part of the post.

Nicole Byer

Whether you know Byer from her current gig as the host of Nailed It! on Netflix or from the earlier days of her career as a correspondent on MTV’s Girl Code, the comedian and actress has always been outspoken about feeling beautiful, sexy, and attractive despite being fat. In response to haters, Byer began captioning her social media photos with “#VERYFAT” and “#VERYBRAVE” to reclaim the hashtags from internet trolls.

#VERYFAT, #VERYBRAVE turned into a tongue-in-cheek movement for women who want critics to know that their weight does not cancel out their beauty. Byer even wrote a book with a title inspired by the hashtags, appropriately called “#VERYFAT #VERYBRAVE: The Fat Girl’s Guide to Being #Brave and Not a Dejected, Melancholy, Down-in-the-Dumps Weeping Fat Girl in a Bikini.”

Basically, Byer wants you to know that she’s hot AND she’s big—the two are not mutually exclusive.

Shoutout to these celebs and many others who are contributing every day to the body positivity movement.

When it comes to modern day shows, there are plenty that excel at casting great guest stars, and one of my personal favorites is Glee. Though there have been other shows with awesome guest stars, such as 30 Rock, or The Office, I really don’t think any other modern television show was as good as Glee (created by TV royalty, Ryan Murphy) at giving us great guest appearances.

While the show had its good and not-so-good moments, the guest stars were always some of the best parts of the series. Today, we’re going to go over the twelve best Glee guest stars that we seriously can’t stop thinking about, even more than a decade after the show debuted. 

Neil Patrick Harris

I have to put Neil Patrick Harris on here first, because he's one of my favorites to speak about. In the Season 1 episode of Glee, “Dream On,” Harris shows up as a former rival to Will Schuester, and wow what a performance. I always knew Harris was talented in musical theater and singing - as he has starred on Broadway and done other amazing things - but his time in Glee was something else. 

He managed to go toe-to-toe with Matthew Morrison while singing a cover of “Dream On” and jeez, I still listen to it years later, because I just can’t believe that Neil Patrick Harris hit that high note. He ended up winning an Emmy Award for his guest performance, so you know it was good. Such a talented star.

Kristin Chenoweth 

Another Season 1 guest star was Kristin Chenoweth. The actress is a Broadway legend, and has currently been in many things on television such as Disney’s Descendants series, as well as being a part of the Schimigadoon! cast. But watching the Season 1 episode, “The Rhodes Not Taken,” was something else, and hearing her version of “Maybe This Time” is just astounding. 

Her character, Amber Rhodes, would return for subsequent episodes, but nothing beats her first appearance on the show. 

Britney Spears

Talk about a legendary guest star. In one of Glee’s more popular episodes, “Britney/Brittany,” the pop princess herself, Britney Spears, ended up making an appearance in several of the kids' dream sequences as they were getting their teeth done and were put on laughing gas. 

While Spears didn’t have many lines, just seeing her show up in these musical sequences alongside the rest of the Glee cast was truly amazing, and I loved the moments where she would have interactions with the others. I wish she'd spoken more. 

John Stamos 

Also appearing for the first time in “Britney/Brittany” was legendary TV actor John Stamos. You might know Stamos from his iconic role as Uncle Jesse in the family sitcom, Full House, but in Glee, he ended up playing Carl in Season 2, a love interest for Emma (Jayma Mays). He doesn’t have many singing scenes, but there’s no denying that his charisma is there in full effect, and I loved it so much. 

He would also show up in later episodes, as well, until his relationship with Emma ended, but what a time to be alive and watch him on Glee. 

Idina Menzel 

Idina Menzel has been famous since her starring roles in hit musicals like Maureen Johnson in Rent and Elphaba in Wicked, the latter of which she won a Tony Award for. She later gained even more fame when she voiced Elsa in both Frozen and Frozen 2 and annoyed parents everywhere as their children kept listening to “Let It Go.” Let’s hope a Frozen 3 happens.

However, for her guest role on Glee, she actually played Rachel’s (Lea Michele) biological mother, Shelby Corcoran. She first showed up in the Season 1 episode, “Hell-O,” and while the beginning of them getting to know each other was rocky, as Idina Menzel was literally coaching Rachel’s competitors, they did end up on the right foot eventually. 

Together, they performed several amazing songs together. My personal favorite was “Poker Face,” where it’s not as fast as the original song by Lady Gaga, but a slow ballad that seems to blend both their powerhouse voices so well. Menzel did appear in several episodes – and even had a relationship with a student in Season 3 that I don’t want to talk about – but after that, she was nowhere to be seen. 

I still wish she had come around again during Seasons 5 or 6 when Rachel was having problems in her life, but it’s not the end of the world. I know she was out doing star-studded things. 

Demi Lovato 

Season 5 of Glee was, ah, something. 

It’s funny, because I was never a big fan of the show when it was at its height. I actually binged the first three seasons on Netflix and became a fan around Season 4
– and I really liked Season 4, just for the fact that I was a New Yorker and liked that they took the show there. But Season 5 was, um…not as great. 

However, the guest stars in Season 5 of Glee were top notch, and while I could talk about one who really rocked my socks off, Adam Lambert, I’m going to instead devote this section to Demi Lovato’s guest role, Dani. 

While Lovato wasn’t in the show for super long, her character was essential to Santana’s (Naya Rivera) development after she'd just broken up with Brittany in Season 4 and needed to move on with her life and try and find new experiences  – and Dani was that new experience. Their cover of “Here Comes The Sun” always gives me chills. 

Season 5 wasn’t super great, but that cover most certainly was. 

Olivia Newton-John

It’s sad as I write this because Olivia Newton-John, who is primarily known for her role as Sandy in the Grease cast and her astounding music career, passed away in 2022. However, I can still look back on her best roles and think that her guest spot in Glee was truly iconic. 

She first showed up in the Season 1 episode, “Bad Reputation,” where I got to see her do the best cover of her song “Physical” ever, alongside the one and only Jane Lynch. But, she also shows up again as a judge in “Journey to Regionals” at the end of the season, still looking just as great as ever. It’s always fun to rewatch her role on the show.

Gwyneth Paltrow 

Gwyneth Paltrow first showed up in the Season 2 episode, “The Substitute” as Holly Holliday, and forever changed my life. While she was subbing for Will Schuster for the glee club when he was sick, her cover of “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)” had me screaming in joy as a kid and I loved watching her perform. 

Her character was so loved that she ended up making an appearance at the live Glee concerts they were doing at the time. She also won an Emmy for her role in the show  – one she very much deserved. 

Kate Hudson 

Like I said, I actually really enjoyed Season 4 of Glee. And I feel like a lot of people don’t give Kate Hudson’s time on the show enough credit, because this woman performed her butt off. Playing Rachel’s overbearing and condescending dance instructor at NYADA, Cassandra July, Hudson was able to bring just the right amount of sass and boldness to match Rachel’s energy, and I loved it. 

Seriously. Her cover of “All That Jazz” with Rachel is one of my personal favorites. She may not be everyone’s favorite guest star but I truly enjoyed her time on the show. She appeared in several episodes in Season 4, but I wanted to see her again. 

Whoopi Goldberg

The legend, Whoopi Goldberg, decided to grace Glee fans with her presence in both Season 3, Season 4, and Season 5 in sporadic guest roles throughout. She played Carmen Tibideaux, the Dean of Vocal Performance at NYADA and the person who gave Rachel a chance to come to the school after she bombed at her college audition in Season 3, and then got in thanks to their Nationals-winning performance. 

Carmen, while hard on people at first, is someone I could totally respect, because she truly cared about the art of music. She wasn’t about to let in anyone who didn’t deserve it, and she made sure everyone knew. The ones she did let in would work their butts off to try and impress her. I mean, it’s Whoopi Goldberg, how can you not try and impress her? I’ll always be upset they never brought her back, but once Rachel left NYADA, I suppose it's understandable that we never saw her again. 

Sarah Jessica Parker

In my personal opinion, Sarah Jessica Parker was always one of the guest cast members who felt underutilized on Glee, because I actually did enjoy her part on the show. Parker, who is known for plenty of roles, including her famous lead part in the Sex and the City cast, plays Isabelle Wright, an executive at Vogue who gives Kurt a job as an assistant.

While the idea of Kurt getting a job as a fashion assistant at Vogue with no prior experience is laughable, there’s no denying that Parker is amazing in her role here. She was amazing in the cover of “The Way You Look Tonight/You’re Never Fully Dressed,” and I loved her performance of “At The Ballet.” She was a great special guest star. 

Ricky Martin

Last but not least, we have a singing legend, Ricky Martin. This singer showed up in the Season 3 episode, “The Spanish Teacher,” who was acting as Will’s night-school teacher so he could learn better Spanish. But, Will took him to the glee club that week when he decides to give the songs a Spanish music theme. 

Let me tell you, you have not lived until you've heard Ricky Martin, of all people, sing LMFAO’s “Sexy and I Know It,” partially in Spanish. This was an awakening for me  – and an ick at the same time, because I did not need to see Finn try to do a body roll. Either way, it was an experience to remember and one that I’m sure I’m not going to forget for a long time. 

Glee aired its last episode seven years ago, which still feels crazy to think about, and the cast has now done many other things. But, I can still look back on this show and think of all the fun I had with these guest stars – and enjoy the heck out of their covers on my playlist. 

Florence Pugh turned heads at Valentino’s recent show in Rome by – as she put it – choosing to “fucking free the fucking nipple.” While the see-through pink dress turned heads and made headlines, it also brought a bit of controversy to the fashion event, which the Little Women star later went viral for addressing. She’s not the only person to wear a “naked dress" before as other similar dresses have been making the rounds on the likes of Kylie Jenner, Bella Thorne in 2022. Zöe Kravitz is also a notable advocate of the trend. 

In fact, Kravitz was an early adopter, having worn a see-through gold bra to an Oscars afterparty in 2019. This somehow didn't make as much fuss as The Batman star's see-through Met Gala dress in 2021 that, like, Pugh, landed her backlash, though in that latter case the actress actually had worn strategically place cutouts. 

While some celebrities have gone a similar route to Pugh and Kravitz, others have been rocking optical illusion outfits made by designers like Sergio Castaño Peña and Jean Paul Gaultier in recent months. You may remember seeing its likes for the first time on Kylie Jenner when The Kardashians star also declared it was time to "free the nipple." That look will cost you a pretty penny too, as it’s still for sale for $325 dollars online as part of Gaultier’s collaboration with Lotta Volkova. 

Meanwhile, Bella Thorne notably rocked a dress that was printed to make her look completely naked to the premiere of Jared Leto’s superhero movie Morbius in March. Like in Kylie Jenner’s case, the dress made Thorne look topless, though it was only a screenprint of a woman’s body over her own rather than a fully sheer costume that highlighted her chest as Pugh’s was.

After Pugh wore her dress to the Valentino show, she opened up about being surprised about the response she received, though she knew when she “wore that incredible Valentino dress that there was no way there wouldn’t be a commentary on it.” What was shocking to her was the vitriol over how her body looked in the dress and the comments people were comfortable with making. She noted on Instagram: 

Unlike Pugh or Kravitz, in the case of the optical illusion dresses, the response has been more positive, with Thorne's look being described as “jaw-dropping." Similarly positive feedback was given to Jenner, as news pieces have said the look “slides past the nipple-baring double-standard society,” as Stylecaster noted. Of course, this is from news outlets and not the trolls Pugh seems to be addressing in her post. 

Not everyone has been negative about freeing the nipple, however. There have been a lot of positive comments on her Instagram post. In Pugh's case, she had some staunch support from other A-listers over the look, including Jessica Chastain. Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page, who should also know a thing or two about having his body talked about online, also shared support for Pugh. 

It’s  true that nearly-nude looks are not exactly the same situation as Florence Pugh’s completely sheer dress, as the other type of dress is imprinted with a female body that’s not actually the star’s own. Still, it’s clear that myriad ways of freeing the nipple are becoming a trend on red carpets, with other celebrities including Cardi B, Demi Lovato and more trying out the new look, particularly of the Sergio Castaño Peña variety. Lovato even wore hers on network television during an appearance on Jimmy Fallon-- though in that case there was a jacket involved. 

Following Florence Pugh’s Valentino dress debut, we’ll have to wait and see if the sheer trend also becomes more of a thing moving forward, but, either way, it’s looking like 2022 may be the year we’ve officially freed the nipple. 

Modern Family wrapped up its wildly popular and awards-filled run in 2020, after eleven seasons, and various stars from its ensemble cast have already made high-profile returns to TV, while others like her on-screen sister Sarah Hyland are putting such returns together as we speak. Ariel Winter, who portrayed the brainiest and most logical member of the show's extended bloodline, is now a member of the latter group, as she was recast for a lead role in the new network TV series Hungry that was initially fronted by singer Demi Lovato.

Hungry, developed by Hot in Cleveland creator and Will & Grace scribe Suzanne Martin, will star Ariel Winter as part of a set of friends belonging to a food-issues group. With part of its focus presumably on eating disorders and other calorically related problems, the project will also put its attention on how friends can lift each other up in times of need during the struggles to find love, success and all things tasty. It should be a nice change of pace for Winter to be part of a cast of similarly aged co-stars, as opposed to one with four generations of actors. 

This won’t be Winter’s very first scripted role in general after her decade-plus as one of the Dunphys, though, as she has several features on the way. She’s set for the party dramedy Pools, the Zoom-based thriller Don’t Log Off, and the upcoming crime drama Crimelands. As well, she brought her Sofia the First vocal skills to work for an episode of the spooky podcast R.L. Stine’s Story Club in 2021. Hungry, however, will be her first potential TV return after Modern Family.

For a bit of background, Demi Lovato was already on board as a star and executive producer when Hungry was picked up for a pilot order at NBC in April 2021. The topical comedy faced a major hurdle as March 2022 began, however, when Lovato pulled out of the show as its lead, citing scheduling conflicts as the cause. That said, they will be staying on board as an executive producer, along with their manager Scooter Braun.

That setback clearly wasn’t a long-term situation, thankfully, and Deadline reports NBC execs were all-in on rapidly finding someone else to fill the role, as they were eager to stick to the plans for the impending pilot’s filming. Ariel Winter is a solid choice, considering the actress has continued building up her fandom in the post-Modern Family years. More on the topic of Hungry, Winter has also opened up about the body-shaming that she dealt with from viewers during the difficult journey of growing up on the comedy series, as well as similar criticisms she’s heard after losing weight.

Ariel Winter is the latest Modern Family to land a starring TV role, with the news coming soon after the reveal that Sarah Hyland landed a role in Peacock’s upcoming Pitch Perfect spinoff series starring Adam Levine and Flula Borg. Their on-screen mom Julie Bowen, meanwhile, put forth some winning appearances in American Dad and Curb Your Enthusiasm already in 2022, and is set to lead the in-development comedy Wilde Things, also at NBC. 

The Hungry pilot —  also starring Valerie Bertinelli, Gabriel Iglesias, Alex Brightman, Ryan McPartlin and Ashley D. Kelley — is set to move forward with a table read on Tuesday, March 8, with the legendary James Burrows on board as director. Warning! The following contains spoilers for The Masked Singer Season 5's Group B Finals. Read at your own risk!

The Masked Singer Season 5 has been more of a challenge than past seasons when it comes to guessing identities, though viewers have been able to put their heads together and accurately peg a few contestants prior to their unmasking. Up until the latest episode, I assumed this was the case for Black Swan, who many believe is popular singer JoJo Levesque. This latest episode caused me to throw out that theory, however, and I now believe the contestant's identity is one of three former Disney Channel stars.

Unfortunately, I'm torn as to whether Black Swan is Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, or Madison Pettis. All women are talented singers, so the vocal guesses aren't going to do much on that front. It's also worth noting that a lot of key clues revealed in tonight's episode can point to all three women, which has made the decision even harder to make. Whittling down which it may be is the equivalent of guessing The Bulldog was Nick Cannon only moments after seeing his performance, because who the hell saw that coming?

The clue that really put me on the trail was the purple dinosaur cloud, which immediately made me think of Barney & Friends. All three women were on the children's program in their youth, so that's a bit of a dead end when it comes to picking one out of the three. The same is true for the "Montana" clue, which the panel believed was a reference to Hannah Montana. All three women have a friendship with Miley Cyrus, though it is worth noting Selena Gomez and Madison Pettis actually guest-starred on the series a number of times.

Then there's the first clue package, which teased a connection between Black Swan and White Swan. For those that don't remember, Season 3's White Swan was Bella Thorne, who was also a Disney Channel star at one time. Again, Thorne has a documented public life and friendship with all three women, so one can see the predicament here.

With all that being said, there is one contestant I'm leaning on a bit harder out of the three, mainly because of the singing. If Black Swan were Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato, their fans would've called them out already. Madison Pettis, on the other hand, isn't a nationally known pop star with songs on the radio, even if she has shown a solid singing voice in past projects.

So, while it could come back to bite me, I'm going to make my official guess Madison Pettis for now, but acknowledge that it could be either Selena Gomez or Demi Lovato. Of course, with the internet leaning heavily off any of those guesses, I'm still a bit wary, but after the latest episode of The Masked Singer, I feel good about this.

“Truth Hurts” singer Lizzo has never been shy about baring it all on the Internet. This week, following a slew of celebrities sharing what type of summer it’s going to be, Lizzo had her own take. In her words, it’s gonna be an “ass crack summer,” so you better go ahead and get ready for the fashion trend.

In a series of posts, Lizzo shared off a revealing new look. When she says it’s going to be “ass crack summer,” she legitimately means it. I’d be remiss if I didn’t note these images are safe enough to be shared to Instagram, but are probably NSFW. ‘Butt’ don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Why is Lizzo declaring it “ass crack summer?” Well, there has been a rash of celebrities who have recently declared what kind of summer it’s going to be as the pandemic wanes. This seemingly started when Tom Hanks’ infamous son Chet Hanks declared it “white boy summer” last week. Dionne Warwick, who often comments on pop culture goings on via Twitter (this week she’s been all over that Bridgerton news) later responded in a tweet declaring “I will be having a Black Woman Summer. What foolishness did I just see?”

Now, according to Lizzo, it’s ass crack summer, or at least it will be once the weather warms up a little. So, I guess if you haven’t invested in a partially mesh dress with a big old cutout in the back, you aren’t in with the times. Along with skinny jeans and side parts, I guess covered derrieres are now out too? Don't ask me to weigh in here; I'm a millennial.

Some celebrities were here for the new look, as Demi Lovato responded with the simple comment, “HOTTTTTTTTT.” Regardless, if the “ass crack summer” was a bit much for you, the good news is that Lizzo shared a less booty-centric look at her outfit to her social media feed as well.

Seriously though, Lizzo has always been a huge proponent of body positivity and is confident in everything she wears and tries on. She stressed to Elle previously that it is because she didn't really like herself before, and so now she works really hard to practice self love.

Regardless, her outfit choices do not always work out in her favor. Another time, the Hustlers star made headlines for twerking in a thong at a Lakers game. It wasn’t really the twerking that was the issue, to be clear. The dress she wore and was then posted on the jumbotron had a gaping hole in the rear. The Lakers cam cut away, but it made the rounds on the Internet and sparked some backlash.

At the end of the day, maybe instead of using wild adjectives to describe the upcoming summer, we should all just hope that the weather is nice, the cicadas aren’t everywhere and that life returns to some semblance of normality. Unlike, these other “summers” that have been declared all over the Internet, I think those are all things we can get on the same page about.

Demi Lovato has been pretty open in recent years when it comes to her struggles with addiction, body image, eating disorders, and more. Most of that, of course, has been due to the very public nature of her life, which would make it very hard to keep a lot of those issue completely private. Such was the case with Lovato's 2018 overdose, which shocked many of her fans, and now the pop star has dropped a lot of bombshells about that, as well as several other events in her life in a new docuseries, Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil.

The four-part docuseries debuted as the opening event at the SXSW festival recently, and is set to debut on Lovato's YouTube channel on March 23. Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil (via The Daily Beast) began life as a documentary which was simply meant to show off moments from Lovato's 2018 "Tell Me You Love Me" concert tour. But, filming was stopped and the doc put on ice when she was hospitilized after her overdose.

The project resumed during quarantine, in the spring of 2020, and in it the singer and actress talks very candidly about many aspects of her life. These include surprising revelations about her overdose and the issues which led to it, an alleged rape by a co-star when she was working on a project for the Disney Channel, and much more.

Demi Lovato's First Try At Sobriety Was Forced On Her

According to Lovato, becoming sober the first time was not a decision she made for herself. When the star was 18, her family and the professional team around her offered Lovato an ultimatum, which did lead to sobriety for a time, but ultimately backfired. Because she wasn't allowed to come to the decision to live sober herself, it led to issues with control over her life and experiencing a lack of agency. Publicly, Lovato quickly became and advocate for sobriety and mental health issues, while she was still very much an addict in private, and that public responsibility only made things harder for her.

There's a scene in the first episode which shows concert footage of DJ Khaled coming on stage to congratulate Demi Lovato on being sober for six years. But, right after that celebratory moment she began drinking wine and soon called for drugs. Lovato then goes to a party, runs into her old drug dealer and then, in her words, "went to town" with a "shopping spree," which included cocaine, weed, alcohol, Oxycontin and doing meth for the first time. Lovato's overdose came three months later.

Demi Lovato's 2018 Overdose Was Worse Than We Thought

As it stood before the reveals of Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, the details surrounding Lovato's late July 2018 overdose were already very bad. We'd heard that it was a near fatal overdose, and that Lovato had called her drug dealer over and after he arrived they began to freebase oxycodone. In the film, though, Lovato says that she used heroin and crack cocaine that night, and confirms that the supply was actually laced with another dangerous substance, fentanyl, which is thought to have triggered her overdose.

But, in the docuseries, Lovato and her friends and family open up a lot more about what happened on that fateful night, including details of her medical treatment which involved her having a tube sewed into her neck, which was used to drain, clean, and then re-transfuse her own blood back into her body. We also find out that Lovato suffered many complications from the overdose, and that, while hospitalized, she had a heart attack, three strokes, suffered brain damage, and still has blind spots in her vision from all of it.

On top of all of that, Demi Lovato also said that her drug dealer had sex with her, and it wasn't until months later that she realized she couldn't have offered any kind of informed consent to the act, which led to yet another major bombshell from the star.

Demi Lovato Claims She Was Raped While Working On A Disney Movie

The drug dealer Lovato called over left her, without calling for help, as she overdosed, which led to her being found by her assistant, naked and turning blue. Later, after getting out of the hospital, Lovato would call him back in the hopes of asserting some control by making a conscious decision to have sex with him. While she says now that, "It didn’t fix anything...It made me feel worse," it was the same tactic she tried to use to heal herself after her alleged rape during the filming of Disney's Camp Rock, which came out in 2008.

Demi Lovato notes that this is actually when she lost her virginity, but that the man, whom she implies was a co-star, didn't stop even after she clearly told him no and attempted to stop the situation from escalating. Lovato adds:

It's pretty clear that Demi Lovato was open to being very raw and unfiltered for the filming of Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil, and while I'm sure there will be a lot more big reveals to come from the full series, hopefully what it will do is help Lovato, and others who've had experiences like hers, heal.

The series will debut on Demi Lovato's YouTube page on March 23.

It’s no secret that Demi Lovato has experienced some rough years throughout her life. Her 2018 overdose shocked many inside and outside of entertainment, as it followed years of reported sobriety. Since then, Lovato has spoken here and there about her struggles, but the singer decided to really open up recently about the brain damage and personal growth she endured after suffering her overdose.

Over the past few years, Demi Lovato’s struggle with substance abuse and personal issues has been placed more in the public eye, and the former Disney star has been incredibly open about her highs and lows. To the point where Lovato decided to put her struggles with addiction and other personal issues on display in a new four-part docuseries titled Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil. She recently spoke with People Magazine about the upcoming project, revealing more about the lasting effects of her near-fatal 2018 drug overdose.

After making that revelation, Demi Lovato spoke on the personal growth she experienced as she continues her sobriety journey. She mentioned making accountability a huge part of her growth.

Speaking on the aftermath of her overdose and holding herself accountable made Demi Lovato’s reasons for doing the documentary even more poignant. In recent years, the singer has been an advocate for addiction awareness. Dancing with the Devil will be the first time she tackled her addiction in such a public manner after 2017’s Simply Complicated.

Demi Lovato’s latest sobriety journey started back in 2018 when she relapsed after being sober for six years, surrounding the release of her single "Sober." She was later hospitalized after suffering the aforementioned overdose, which led to the cancellation of several projects, including her world tour. The singer eventually checked into rehab and a halfway house after her hospitalization. Her overdose caused an outpouring of support from Hollywood, including her ex Wilmer Valderrama. The last two years have seen Lovato flourish, as she sang the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV along with taking on several acting and music projects.

Hopefully, Demi Lovato telling her addiction and recovery story will inspire current and recovering addicts to seek the help they need. She can act as a mirror for them as they deal with past and present struggles. It has taken Charming quite a long while to make its way to the United States. Released internationally back in 2018, following an extended production, the fairy tale spoof finally arrives on Netflix starting Friday, January 8th. Featuring the voice talents of Wilmer Valderrama, Demi Lovato, Ashley Tisdale, and Sia, this Canadian-American production hopes to appeal to the same family audiences who love revisiting Shrek and other irreverent animated larks. But while the movie hasn't received the same glowing praise, the high-profile ensemble might win over viewers young and old anyhow.

Demi Lovato (Lenore)

As Lenore, a jewel thief who's cursed never to love, Demi Lovato plays our female lead in Charming. Wilmer Valderrama (Prince Charming)

In the titular role of Prince Charming, a handsome prince cursed with making women fall in love with him, even though he cannot return their love, Wilmer Valderrama voices the main male character in the animated film, Charming. Most notably, Valderrama is best known for his long-standing role in Fox's That '70s Show. He also voiced the title character in Handy Manny and hosted MTV's Yo Momma. Currently, he's part of the main cast for NCIS. The actor also had a prominent part in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series and recurring roles in Grey's Anatomy and The Ranch. His other acting credits include Party Monster, Fast Food Nation, Larry Crowne, Unaccompanied Minors, Beauty Shop, The Adderall Diaries, From Prada to Nada, Zoom, School Dance, and Summer Catch.

Additionally, as a voice actor, Wilmer Valderrama can be heard in Clifford's Really Big Movie, Robot Chicken, The Cleveland Show, Trouble (which he also produced), and Onward. His other television credits include NCIS: New Orleans, Suburgatory, The Sopranos, Awake, Royal Pains, Wizards of Waverly Place, and MADtv.

Sia (Half-Oracle)

As Half-Oracle, Sia voices a meaningful role in Charming. A musician throughout the 90s and 00s, Sia found fame around 2008, though it wasn't until 2014's studio album, 1000 Forms of Fear, and especially the single "Chandelier," that she became an enormous mega-superstar. Following this album's acclaim, she released 2016's This is Acting, followed by 2017's Everyday is Christmas. Recently, outside of collaborations, Sia has also been working on her feature directorial debut, Music, which will come out on January 14, 2021 internationally, followed by its February 12 release in the U.S. Alongside the movie, Sia is also unveiling a tie-in album with the original music she composed.

Outside of her music, Sia acted in 2014's Annie, Nobodies, and Transparent. She can also be heard in My Little Pony: The Movie, Peter Rabbit, South Park, and Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? Additionally, Sia is composing Everything I Ever Wanted To Tell My Daughter About Men.

Avril Lavigne (Snow White)

Playing the part of Snow White, one of Prince Charming's three fiancés who's often quite paranoid, Avril Lavigne lent her voice to Charming. During her teenage years, Lavigne rose to fame with her hit singles, "Complicated" and "Sk8er Boi," both of which came from her debut studio album, Let Go. Meanwhile, her second studio album, Under My Skin, went on to sell 10 million copies worldwide. Additionally, Lavigne continued to find success with her subsequent albums, which included The Best Damn Thing, Goodbye Lullaby, and the self-titled Avril Lavigne. Last year, Lavigne released her sixth studio album, Head Above Water.

While she's more famous for her music, Avril Lavigne has also provided a couple of voice roles. Most notably, she's heard in Over the Hedge and the video game, Family Guy: The Quest for Stuff. Additionally, Lavigne acted in Fast Food Nation and The Flock.

Ashley Tisdale (Cinderella)

In the role of Cinderella, another one of Prince Charming's impatient fiancés, Ashley Tisdale voices a prominent supporting character in Charming. As an actress, Tisdale gained a great deal of success with her role in Disney Channel's The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and, later, High School Musical, along with its sequels and the spin-off film, Sharpay's Fabulous Adventure. She's also well-known for lending her voice to Phineas & Ferb, while she also acted in Hellcats, Scary Movie 5, Clipped, Carol's Second Act, Aliens in the Attic, Merry Happy Whatever, Sons of Anarchy, Clipped, Skylanders Academy, Amateur Night, and Picture This. Additionally, Tisdale did voice work for Kim Possible.

Outside of acting, Ashley Tisdale is also an accomplished musician, notably with her studio album, Headstrong, and its follow-up, Guilty Pleasure. In 2019, she released her third album, Symptoms. Additionally, Tisdale has gained prominence as a producer, particularly with ABC Family's Young & Hungry.

G.E.M. (Sleeping Beauty)

Playing the part of Sleeping Beauty, one of Prince Charming's three fiancés, G.E.M. made her voice acting debut in Charming. The singer-songwriter made her introduction in the Hong Kong music scene in 2008 with her self-titled EP, G.E.M. She followed up this release with 2009's 18 ..., 2010's MySecret, and 2012's Xposed, though she found fame when she earned second place in the singing competition series, I Am a Singer, in 2014. Since then, G.E.M. earned acclaim for her 2015 album, Heartbeat. This album was followed up with Fairytale Trilogy, which was a series of EPs, and 2019's City Zoo. Over the years, G.E.M. has gained international recognition, particularly as she's the first female Chinese singer with three music videos with 100 million views on YouTube. She's also currently the most followed female Chinese singer on Spotify.

Outside of this voice performance, G.E.M. previously played herself in 2009's Trick or Cheat. She also starred in Love Connected that same year. Additionally, G.E.M. was the subject of the 2017 documentary, G-Force.

Nia Vardalos (Nemeny Neverwish)

Playing Nemeny Neverwish, a bitter evil fairy hellbent on exacting revenge on Prince Charming, Nia Vardalos voices an antagonistic personality in Charming. Most prominently, Vardalos is well-known for writing and starring in 2002's indie smash hit, My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Later, Vardalos followed it up with 2016's My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Additionally, Vardalos wrote and starred in Connie and Carla, co-wrote Larry Crowne, and wrote, directed, and frontlined I Hate Valentine's Day. Meanwhile, on television, Vardalos wrote, created, and headlined in CBS's My Big Fat Greek Life.

Outside of her writing credits, Nia Vardalos starred in My Life In Ruins and acted in McKenna Shoots for the Stars, Helicopter Mom, and Car Dogs. Her other acting credits include Dealin' with Idiots, For a Good Time, Call..., A Taste of Christmas, and episodes of Graves, The Catch, Law & Order: SVU, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Jane the Virgin, Grey's Anatomy, Cougar Town, My Boys. She also did voice work for Star vs. the Forces of Evil and DuckTales.

Jim Cummings (King Charming/Goat Maître D')

In the dual roles of King Charming and Goat Maître D', Jim Cummings added another credit to his ever-expanding acting resume with Charming. As one of the most prolific and accomplished voice actors in the industry, Cummings has played over 400 characters throughout his career, though he's most notably known for voicing Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Pete, and the Tasmanian Devil in an assortment of films, TV shows, cartoons, and more.

Chris Harrison (The Painter)

As The Painter, Chris Harrison voiced a supporting character in Charming. Most notably, Harrison is the host of ABC's The Bachelor, as well as its spin-off shows, The Bachelorette. Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise, Bachelor Live, and The Bachelor Winter Games. Additionally, he hosted Who Wants To Be A Millionaire from 2015 through 2019. As an actor, meanwhile, Harrison appeared in Date Movie and episodes of Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Hot in Cleveland, and Single Parents. Additionally, outside of Charming, Harrison did voice work for Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice.

John Cleese (Fairy Godmother/The Executioner)

In the dual roles of Fairy Godmother and The Executioner, John Cleese is another prominent voice actor heard in Charming. Most famously, Cleese co-founded Monty Python and starred in/co-wrote Monty Python's Flying Circus, as well as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life, with the comedy troupe. Outside of this group, Cleese also co-wrote and acted in Fawlty Towers. He later wrote and frontlined A Fish Called Wanda, for which he was Oscar-nominated, and Fierce Creatures. His other notable acting credits include Silverado, The Great Muppet Caper, Time Bandits, Yellowbeard, Clockwise, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, Rat Race, The World Is Not Enough, Die Another Day, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, and The Very Excellent Mr. Dundee.

Tom Kenny (The Blessing Fairy)

Playing the part of The Blessing Fairy, Tom Kenny is one of several supporting players in Charming. Most notably, Kenny is the Emmy-winning voice behind SpongeBob SquarePants in the show of the same name, along with the spin-off films, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge of the Run. Additionally, he's also well-known for his voice work in Rocko's Modern Life, Adventure Time, CatDog, Talking Tom and Friends, and the video game series, Spyro the Dragon. He also worked on The Edge and Mr. Show.

As a voice actor, Tom Kenny can also be heard in Dr. Dolittle 2, The Powerpuff Girls Movie, Eight Crazy Nights, Hoodwinked, Ant Bully, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Winnie the Pooh (2011), Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Frankeneweenie, Hotel Transylvania, Meet the Robinsons, and Happily N'Ever After, to name a select few.

Steve Aoki (Matilijia DJ)

In the role of Matilija DJ, Steve Aoki voices a minor character in Charming. As one of the highest-grossing dance artists in North America, Steve Aoki is a prolific DJ, record producer, and music executive who has collaborated with will.i.am, LMFAO, Linkin Park, Iggy Azalea, Backstreet Boys, Rise Against, Fall Out Boy, BTS, blink-182, Lil Jon, and Kid Cudi. Certainly, his influence on modern chart-topping music can be heard through a variety of artists.

As an actor, meanwhile, Steve Aoki can be seen in Why Him?, Point Break (2015), Safety First: The Movie, and Arrow. Charming is his first voice-only role, though he's also lending his pipes to Extinct.

Charming will stream on Netflix starting January 8th.

The Billboard Music Awards aired on NBC last night, but they were not without controversy. Reports this morning are indicating that a key focal point of Demi Lovato’s performance was actually cut from the broadcast. That component? Demi Lovato had a backdrop planned and setup urging people to vote.

Demi Lovato’s recent single “Commander in Chief” features lyrics talking about people dying, as well as the United States of America being in “a state of crisis,” all seemingly focusing on the current government administration. The singer was able to perform her new song during the 2020 Billboard Music Awards. However, now reports indicate that NBC cut to a close-up during a pivotal moment in that performance.

As the “Commander in Chief” singer was on stage, the word “VOTE” was supposed to be clearly displayed across a video board on the stage. TMZ nabbed original footage of the performance denoting the “VOTE” message, but during the actual broadcast NBC cut to a shot of the singer at her piano when the message would have been displayed.

The message was allegedly pulled because the network knew the lyrics to “Commander in Chief” were already political and pushing people to vote afterward would be taking the issue a step further. You can see how the performance played out on TV, below.

In fact, NBC still seems to be censoring the performance in other ways. On the show’s official YouTube page, you can catch the viral performance Kelly Clarkson did with the popular group Pentatonix, you can see moments from Alicia Keys, John Legend and BTS, but Demi Lovato is nowhere to be seen. Instead, Demi Lovato’s performance is available elsewhere on YouTube, but it would certainly look more compelling in HD like Clarkson's.

Demi Lovato’s political song “Commander in Chief” has not been without controversy, but the former X Factor judge seems to be sticking to her opinions. She took to Instagram a few times over the past few days to encourage people to vote. She's made statements encouraging people to come out to the polls and "support" one another and has said via her Instagram stories that she does not care if "Commander in Chief" "ruins [her] career."

She's not the only celebrity who has encourage people to vote in recent weeks. Kylie Jenner basically broke the Internet a few days ago by throwing on a bikini to encourage people to register to vote. The cast of Hamilton and more have also found fun and creative ways to get people excited about voting.

As for NBC, the FCC has specific rules when it comes to broadcasting about politics. There are all kinds of complicated specifics about offering equal time, but no one was thinking about celebrities singing about politics when any of those rules were first figured out. It's unclear to me if or how the "Vote" moment played into that, but it's certainly worth pointing out that most of the major networks try to discuss politics from a more neutral or lightly political point of view, specifically when it comes to news coverage.

Romance has decidedly not been in the air between music superstar Demi Lovato and former fiancé Max Ehrich, who reportedly split less than a week ago. Lovato was spotted without her engagement ring, and further social media activity painted a picture of a pretty clear breakup, but now Ehrich has come out and said that he and Lovato never officially broke up before reports started circulating.

Actor Max Ehrich took to social media with some Instagram posts that have since been deleted, but said this (via Page Six) when he posted on September 27:

Singer-turned-actress Demi Lovato seemed to be sending a very clear message by not wearing her engagement ring, and her sister Dallas Lovato along with her bodyguard reportedly unfollowing Max Ehrich on Instagram is what initially led followers to suspect that the engagement was off. According to Ehrich himself, however, the split wasn't official because he and Lovato hadn't talked it out.

These comments follow Max Ehrich's previous claim that he found out about the split via a tabloid story while he was filming a movie. His post claiming that he and Demi Lovato hadn't officially split went live on Instagram on September 27, and he followed with a cryptic Instagram Story on September 28 that might indicate the situation has finally been settled for him. Ehrich wrote:

Was Max Ehrich saying that the chapter of his life that was his relationship with Demi Lovato "finally closed" on the morning of September 28? Or was he referring to something else entirely? Ehrich also used Instagram to debunk Facebook posts purportedly from him as "fake news," saying that he only uses Instagram, and doesn't "post on Facebook or twitter."

Demi Lovato herself hasn't addressed the reported split on her own Instagram account, although she shared a cryptic Story of her own. She shared a reposted Instagram Story that began with "I knew I was healing when..." and was followed by several bullet points, including "I enjoyed time alone," "I started responding rather than reacting," "I was okay with being misunderstood," and "I set boundaries."

It's not clear if Demi Lovato was referring to her relationship with Max Ehrich with the post, as she has dealt with plenty of other struggles in her life, but a source reportedly told E! News that Lovato "wants no contact" with Ehrich and "is completely embarrassed at the way he's been acting and putting their relationship on blast." For now, fans can only wait and see if Lovato comes out with a statement that confirms or refutes Ehrich's earlier claim that they hadn't spoken to officially break up.

Demi Lovato has made an effort to be totally transparent about her weight and drug struggles over the years, but now she’s opening up about the moment she really felt she understood how normalized eating disorders are in Hollywood. Back when she was starring on Disney Channel’s Sonny with a Chance, the actress went to rehab for her eating disorder and only then realized the environment she was living and working in was not the healthiest.

In fact, in a profile over at Bustle, Demi Lovato talked about that first rehab experience and the choice she had to make after she sought help for her eating disorder, which had already been a problem before she was a star. But in 2010, after getting help for the first time, she said she had an aha moment about how “normalized” Hollywood can make some things seem that aren’t truly normal.

At the time, Demi Lovato was a successful singer and the star of Sonny with a Chance. The show only ran for two seasons on the Disney Channel and now Demi Lovato is saying that was due to her decision to leave after dealing with her personal struggles. At the time she left, the show had been on hiatus for six months and Lovato’s trip to rehab had been spun as being due to “emotional problems.”

Years later, of course we know that Demi Lovato had struggled with eating disorders as well as drug and alcohol abuse. She lived in a sober facility for a while and had celebrated her anniversary of being six years sober in 2018. However, she had oft been open about going back to work on projects like The X Factor too soon after rehab and just a few short months after her six-year sobriety post she was hospitalized following an overdose.

Again though, Demi Lovato is nothing if not open, whether that has to do with talking about her personal struggles or her behemoth career. She previously noted her eating disorders kept her away from acting for a while, but that she has finally made peace with herself and her body type. She said earlier in 2020:

Now, she tells Bustle she’s just looking forward to a “career that has nothing to do with my body” and perhaps she'll ultimately find peace outside the music business or taking on other work in Hollywood. Or perhaps she’ll eventually be able to take a note from some other industry veterans like Kelly Clarkson and find a path in the industry that still allows her to be fully her own authentic self. We're rooting for her either way.

On July 8, former Glee star Naya Rivera was reported missing. The actress is said to have rented out a boat on Lake Piru in Ventura County, California with her four-year-old son. However, when the authorities arrived following reports of a lone toddler on the boat, Rivera was nowhere to be found. The search to find Rivera is still ongoing, and a few Glee alumni have posted hopeful messages following Rivera’s disappearance.

Naya Rivera rose to fame as Santana Lopez on Glee before going on to star in the series Step Up: High Water. Rivera had tweeted a photo of her and her son the day before she went missing, captioning the sweet image with “just the two of us.” Since the news broke about her disappearance, Rivera’s former Glee co-stars began posting to social media hoping that she'll be found. Harry Shum Jr, who played Mike Chang, posted to Twitter with a simple-but-effective message. Read what he wrote below.

Heather Morris, who played Rivera's romantic partner on Glee and is a real-life BFF, posted about Naya Rivera’s situation in an Instagram story. Morris echoed Harry Shum Jr, praying for Rivera’s safe return. However, she took it a step further and asked fans for prayers as well. Take a look at her post below.

Singer and Camp Rock actress Demi Lovato also shared a message to her Instagram story, with a photo of a candle included. Lovato was not a series regular on Glee, but she did have a guest-starring stint playing Dani in four episodes during Season 5. Here’s Lovato’s post:

The prayers expanded well beyond Naya Rivera’s Glee co-stars, too. Jackée Harry, who starred in the 1990s sitcom Sister Sister, also took to Twitter to share a message of hope. Harry first met Rivera on the set of the short-lived series The Royal Family and posted a clip of their scene together, which you can watch below.

As you can tell, Naya Rivera is well-loved and everyone wants nothing other than for her to return safely home to her son. The search for Rivera has expanded to include more than 80 people, helicopters, boats, and ATVs. Dive teams from other local counties are also on the way to join in the search. In an update from TMZ, the authorities presumed Rivera is dead as of the morning of July 9, and are now treating the reported incident as a “possible drowning.”

As of this writing, search teams have yet to find Rivera and dive teams found no sign of the actress when they went looking for her in the immediate aftermath of her disappearance. Rivera’s life jacket was also reportedly on the boat where her son was found sleeping. He is reportedly safe and with family at this time.

*The following story contains spoilers for Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga. *

Right now a lot of us are desperate for new movies and we're also pretty desperate to laugh, and so the new film Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga which can be found on Netflix, might be perfect. It's Will Ferrell being ridiculous on screen, which is usually good for a laugh or two even if it doesn't hit exactly on the mark every time. But Ferrell isn't the only one to enjoy in the new movie as he stars alongside Rachel McAdams and the movie even includes the perfect cameo from singer Demi Lovato.

In the film, Demi Lovato plays Katiana Lindsdottir, an Icelandic singer who is major competition for the musical duo of Fire Saga, played by Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams. Lovato gets to sing in the movie, but apparently it wasn't that which got the performer on board the film. Instead, director David Dobkin tells USA Today that she loved a sequence later in the film where her character, after dying in a boat explosion, comes back as a charred corpse, a la An American Werewolf in London. According to the director...

The sequence, which shows a scorched Demi Lovato, would certainly have been familiar to anybody familiar with the famous Griffin Dunne scene in An American Werewolf in London, but it wasn't simply that the two scenes had something in common, rather that the new Eurovision movie was specifically planning to ape the original scene. The director went as far as to send images of the scene to Demi Lovato just to be sure that she was on the same page. And yes, she was.

Demi Lovato must have loved the role because it required three hours of makeup to make look like she does in her scene at the end. That's a pretty serious commitment to the joke.

The Eurovision song contest is a massive event in Europe and while it has its fans in the U.S., it's still a largely obscure cultural institution. The film acts as a sort of crash course in Eurovision in its own way. Several former Eurovision performers appear in the film, and while certainly The Story of Fire Saga is a comedy, it has to be said that the actual song contest can get pretty silly itself, so not everything you see in the movie is quite as over the top as it might appear.

It’s a little hard to remember at this point, but there was a time when Demi Lovato was forging a path for herself as an actress first, starting on Barney as a young child and working her way up to Sonny with a Chance. Eventually, Lovato’s musical career seemed to take precedence over her acting gigs, but the singer recently revealed it was actually her eating disorder that kept her away from acting.

In a new tell-all interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Demi Lovato opened up about her past troubles with drugs, alcohol and food. However, she will be returning to the screen this year in a new Netflix movie also set to star Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams and she credits her return to acting after a hiatus on worrying less about her weight. She said:

The new Netflix comedy is called Eurovision, and will follow Demi Lovato as Katiana, an Icelandic singer who is part of the competition in the fictionalized version of the popular singing contest. Lovato also recently appeared on Will & Grace as part of that comedy’s revival.

The two roles were her first major onscreen gigs since she appeared as a judge on The X Factor and on Glee back in 2013. Although it is worth pointing out she made appearances in From Dusk Till Dawn, Zoolander 2, and Smurfs: The Lost Village in the interim.

By now, it’s common knowledge that in 2018, Demi Lovato completed rehab after an overdose on oxycodone laced with fentanyl at her home in Hollywood Hills in July of 2018. Lovato has been open about her past issues with substance abuse and eating disorders prior to her overdose, but posts over the past year on her social media have been more about accepting herself for who she is.

Now, she’s once again come out on the other side of her struggles, although she still reflects on what it’s like to be famous and what toll that can take on your personal and mental health.

Hopefully, with her new move back into acting, Demi Lovato will be able to find the right level of work-life balance. Yet, given she also sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl –a personal dream for the singer -- this past year and also has released a couple of singles already in 2020, she’s certainly not a celebrity to sit still.

I can't wait to see what she does next, but for now we can look forward to Eurovision on Netflix, which is expected later in 2020.

Our favorite musicians live in our ears. We hang on to their most personal notes and lyrics, playing them over and over and memorize them. They become the soundtrack in the background of our lives. But seldom do we truly know what really goes on behind the scenes, between the songwriting process and worldwide tours of our idols. Taylor Swift’s unapologetic documentary, Miss Americana just came out last week. This music documentary allows fans and even the most casual of onlookers on the country-turned-pop star to really get a grasp of what the female artist has gone through in recent years. The Lover hitmaker examines herself in the past as a “good girl” who thrived off doing the right thing and her troubling history with her body image.

Miss Americana is an impassioned ride through Taylor Swift’s life and mind as she writes some of her famous tracks, navigates her incredible fame and finds her voice after years being cookie cutter. This movie isn’t only a must-see for fans of the pop star, it’s the best way for those that aren't to really understand who she is. So often is the star’s narrative about one thing. Janis: Little Girl Blue (Hulu)

There simply could not have been a Taylor Swift without Janis Joplin. And back in 2015, Little Girl Blue told the story of the fabled soul singer of the ‘60s. This music documentary celebrates Janis’ talent through incredible footage, both on stage and off, and about her unique life through her many family and friends. Joplin pushed the limits of who a female artist was and could be through her genuine and rough-around-the-edges persona.

The singer certainly dealt with her share of pressures and personal struggles such as her alcohol and heroin use and sexuality. Little Girl Blue paints a well-rounded portrait of the artist, her “uncompromising” appeal and winningly grisly vocals. Stream it here.

Gaga: Five Foot Two (Netflix)

Lady Gaga recently found success in Hollywood with her role in Bradley Cooper’s A Star is Born. But, she’s been a pop phenomenon for almost a decade. Five Foot Two is a personal documentary that gives fans a much closer look at the artist through the more day to day. One of the first lines she says in is in the movie is about how her “threshold for bullshit with men” is no longer there as she fries up her lunch in a leotard. So… it’s personal.

Throughout, Five Foot Two is very much a no nonsense documentary revolving on Lady Gaga’s life without the glitz, glamour and energetic music of many other docs. She's even casually topless for one scene where she’s sitting with her creative directors about changing up her fashion for Joanne, her 2016 record. It’s a refreshing and honest look at Gaga. Jonas Brothers: Chasing Happiness (Amazon Prime)

After almost six years apart, the Jonas Brothers finally reformed their band in 2019 to release the album Happiness Begins. Coinciding with their return to their roots, Kevin, Joe and Nick revisit the demons that lead them to drift apart as bandmates and go after their own ventures. This documentary gives fans an insight into the three brothers' upbringing into their Disney record deal and fame as teenagers.

Chasing Happiness allows the brothers to be open about why their band split up and how it created a rift in their personal relationships as family. The movie is a moving documentary about how they salvaged their connection and made their recent comeback as a boy band. Stream it here.

Amy (Netflix)

One of the particularly heartbreaking events in the world of music was the day Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning – at just 27 years old. The world mourned the loss of her talent and booming voice, but this documentary is the perfect tribute to her. Amy uses archival footage and testimonials to paint a solid picture of her life in the spotlight and deep struggles behind her songs such as “Back To Black” and “Rehab”.

Amy investigates quite deep into Winehouse’s life and is another intimate portrayal of who she was. It leaves audiences in a sad place about her spiral into addiction, her relationships and how she dealt with her life as a celebrity. Stream it here.

What Happened, Miss Simone? (Netflix)

Back in 2015, it was What Happened, Miss Simone? that debuted at Sundance before hitting Netflix, much like Swift’s new film. It’s about the “High Priestess of Soul”, Nina Simone who became an icon in the ‘60s for “Feeling Good," “I Put A Spell On You” and so forth. Her fame gave rise during the Civil Rights era.

Nina Simone had a heavenly voice and a particularly interesting life throughout her 70 years on Earth. Her daughter talks through the story, going through her mother’s life in the spotlight and as an activist of the time. Simone was diagnosed with bipolar disorder later in her life. It’s a masterful look at a famous figure. Stream it here.

Bad Reputation (Hulu)

Following Kristen Stewart’s portrayal of Joan Jett in 2010’s The Runaways, the rock n’ roll badass tells her own story in Bad Reputation. This is a nice change of pace from the typical somber storylines of fame illustrated in music documentaries. The way Jett tells it, it’s as if she’s showing off her battle wounds with honor.

Pretty much everyone's favorite pastime is going through old episodes of The Simpsons and talking about how the show predicted things way back in the dawn of time that have now come true. Well, sometimes you don't need a long-running show about a yellow animated family to tell the future. Last night's Super Bowl LIV offered up lots of highlights, and one of those was Demi Lovato's performance of the National Anthem. As it just so happens, a younger Lovato told us all that she would one day grace us with her version of the song during the big game.

Let me set the scene for you. On February 7, 2010, Super Bowl XLV was going down in Miami (which just happens to be where last night's game and electrifying half-time show took place). Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints were set to take on Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts, which I had already forgotten was even a football team, so maybe it's for the best that this article isn't actually about football. Anyway, not long after the kickoff show started, possibly right before or during Carrie Underwood's rendition of the National Anthem, Demi Lovato took to Twitter and said:

Look. At. That! You guys, Demi Lovato has had an especially rough couple of years, but now she's out here making her Super Bowl dreams come true! And, she got to do it close to the 10 year anniversary of when she originally put her Super Bowl National Anthem singing vibes out into the world. I don't know if that's a sign that all we have to do is tweet about what we want and then count on it becoming a reality a decade later, but excuse me while I go tweet "One day, I'm gonna win $80 million tax free. Onnnee dayyy...." You know, just to be safe.

A lot of people really have trouble singing the National Anthem. I can imagine that, in the back of every singer's mind, is the iconic version sung by Whitney Houston at the 1991 Super Bowl, and while I can't fault anyone for trying to live up to that, there's no way they can, so I think it throws a lot of singers off. Demi Lovato is a fighter. The actress/musician has unquestionably dealt with a lot, especially this past year, and she is still fighting. When she decided to get inside the boxing ring, she wasn't looking to play nice. Lovato went all out, and for the person who was on the other side of her blows, it wasn't without incident. As seen in the video below, Demi Lovato got in a boxing match and in the process of throwing punches, she wound up knocking her trainer's tooth out. Talk about a knock-out.

While we don't actually see the tooth flying out of the trainer's mouth in Demi Lovato's Instagram video, nor do we witness the fateful punch from Lovato that sprung the denticle from its gums, we do get to see the aftermath, where Jay Glazer is ringing the bell and letting the gym and, therefore, the world know that Demi Lovato knocked his tooth out. Lovato is quick to apologize, but Glazer humorously doesn't believe she's actually sorry. And in the video's description, Lovato writes that she is "sorry (not sorry)" for what happened inside the ring.

To make the matter even more surprising for the members involved, Jay Glazer was wearing a mouthguard when the tooth-flying punch occurred -- which is something Demi Lovato is happy to admit in both the video and inside the caption. Properly precautions were in place. It was ultimately the fateful punch, based on the evidence presented, that caused the tooth to escape the trainer's mouth.

It's hard to know for sure what exactly happened. Maybe Jay Glazer was in the wrong position when the punch occurred? Maybe the mouthguard was loose inside his mouth when Demi Lovato's gloved fist made contact with his face? Maybe the punch was just that forceful? Who can say for sure? Over the weekend, Lovato and Valderrama reunited for a barbecue to celebrate Los Angeles Gay Pride at the 24-year-old pop star's house. Check out a photo here:

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama look thrilled to be in each other's company. Lovato posted the photos to her Instagram story with the caption "best of friends no matter what," so perhaps it is true what the two stars said about wanting to remain buddies after their break up. Here they are having some fun in the sun:

In fact, since Lovato and Valderrama parted ways, they have continued to say only positive words about each other to the media. For example, Valderrama said in an interview he wished nothing but the best for Lovato. In return, Lovato spoke in an interview late last year and shared lovely words about her ex-beau. She suggested her 36-year-old ex-boyfriend helped her through a lot of personal trials and tribulations. However, Lovato did indicate she felt happy to leave her relationship with Valderrama in the past because she wanted to move forward from the person she was when they began dating. Therefore, it seems like a safe bet to say the reunion in the photos is of two friends happy to be spending time with each other---nothing more, nothing less.

Besides, the timing might not be great if they wanted to date again. These days, Demi Lovato is, again, newly single after splitting up with her MMA fighter boyfriend, Guilherme ''Bomba'' Vasconcelos, whom she dated for a couple of months starting late last year. Furthermore, Wilmer Valderrama is working on a bunch of television shows, including NCIS and The Ranch. So, it sounds like Lovato and Valderrama both have full plates at the moment.

Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama are not the only celebrities who have found success remaining pals. In recent times, we have heard of several stars breaking up but stayed legitimate friends---as opposed to friendly when necessary. For example, Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow recently opened up about how hard she worked to make certain she and Coldplay frontman Chris Martin remained cordial after their "conscious uncoupling" divorce. Now, according to Paltrow, they remain friends focused on the same goals.

Similarly, actor Orlando Bloom recently talked about how he and singer Katy Perry were determined to stay friends after their split. In fact, after the breakup, Perry took to social media to encourage her Twitter followers to adjust their views on relationships and see how two people can continue to care for each other after a split, because not every breakup results with one person being a victim and the other person being a villain.

It is great to see Demi Lovato and Wilmer Valderrama happy together. This positive trend of being kind to exes is fantastic, and we hope it is something that continues.

Some time back, Joe Jonas voiced an interest in doing another Camp Rock, the hit Disney Channel Original Movie that starred himself, his brothers (who were still The Jonas Brothers back then) and Demi Lovato. But the twist was that he wanted to do something interesting with it, and make it an R-rated film. We all had our chuckles at the thought of a Disney movie with swears and went on our merry way, but Joe isn't the only Jonas who'd be down for an R-rated return. Nick Jonas has now echoed a similar interest as well.

Nick Jonas spoke with People about the possibility of ever making one more Camp Rock movie, and the singer is definitely not against the idea. But if you're going to return to a movie series as beloved by its fanbase as Camp Rock, then Jonas proposes that you need to move in a creative direction to make it worthwhile. In this case, one of those directions is to go for an R-rating, which is an odd choice for a TV movie that aired on Disney Channel and was aimed at teens, tweens, and everything inbetweens.

For those who you who didn't watch the Disney Channel in 2008 and 2010, Camp Rock and its sequel, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam, were Disney Channel Original Movies (DCOM) that followed a group of teenagers who attended a musical summer camp called -- you guessed it -- Camp Rock. The movies were a platform for then teenaged Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas, as well as Demi Lovato -- all of whom would go on to have successful careers in music. To date, Camp Rock is the third highest rated DCOM of all time, behind High School Musical 2 and Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie.

The idea for an R-rated Camp Rock 3 was first proposed by Joe Jonas, who told Marie Claire that they could do the "graduating days" and "make it kinda dark." Apparently, it's an idea he, his brothers and Demi Lovato have talked/joked about for some time. Lovato herself further explained the idea on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, elaborating that fans of the film had grown-up by now, so it makes sense to make a film that reflects that. That's a solid point, and now Nick Jonas is further backing it up.

Is an R-rated Camp Rock 3 on the way? My guess would be an emphatic no. Hell, they'd be lucky if they got a PG-13 rating, but certainly crazier things have happened in this world. Just a few months before Bella Hadid unfollowed Selena Gomez for dating her ex, Rihanna did the same thing with Jennifer Lopez. After both JLo and Drake posted a cutesy photo of the two of them cuddled up on a couch together, Rihanna showed what may have been her disapproval by hitting the unfollow button on Lopez's social media accounts,. Drake and Rihanna had been heavily rumored to be in an on-again, off-again relationship for years.

There's no need to be petty when you're the mother of Beyonce, but that's what it looked like Tina Knowles was doing when she liked an Instagram comment that ridiculed Jennifer Hudson's singing. Nicki Minaj doesn't tag Demi Lovato in photo

The 2016 Met Gala sparked some online drama between Nicki Minaj and Demi Lovato. Minaj uploaded a photo from the event of herself posing alongside a designer friend and Lovato, but only tagged the designer, E! News noted. Lovato responded by commenting on the shot with a laughing emoji, peace sign, and thumbs up, and then went on to share the photo --- which featured Minaj giving her what looks like a side-eyed glare --- on her own account, saying that the image summed up her night and that she didn't enjoy the Met Gala. It sounds like Lovato is commenting on a feud with Minaj, but Lovato later added a clarification to her Instagram comment, saying that she loved how Minaj was looking at her and was actually just trying to make a joke at how awkward she herself looked in the photo.

Taylor Swift's squad unfollows Demi Lovato

Poor Demi --- not even a week after her social media mix-up with Nicki Minaj she became the catalyst for another bit of Instagram shade, this time from Taylor Swift and her famous circle of friends. After Lovato posted a photo of herself with Hailey Baldwin, who has a rough relationship with Swift and her squad, Lovato reportedly lost some famous followers on her Instagram account, including Swift, Karlie Kloss, Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid, and more, according to Seventeen.

Katy Perry dances to Taylor Swift diss

It is no secret that Katy Perry and Taylor Swift aren't exactly best buddies, so when Perry attended a Kanye West concert in 2016 (another celebrity who had some public friction with Swift) Perry took the opportunity to throw what looked like a little bit of shade. Swift and West had gotten into a very public battle over one of the lyric's in the rapper's song "Famous," in which he calls out Taylor by name and says he was responsible for her fame. When West performed the track at his concert, Perry filmed herself dancing to the verse in question and posted it to her Instagram.

Paris Hilton likes a shady Kim Kardashian post

Speaking of making people famous and Kanye West, Paris Hilton is often credited with paving the way for Kim Kardashian's brand of reality television stardom, and according to a post that Hilton herself liked on Instagram in 2016, the hotel heiress think that Kardashian wouldn't be a star if it weren't for her, Us Weekly reported. A meme posted by one of Hilton's fans photoshopped Hilton's face next to West and Kardashian from West's music video for "Famous," and written above them was a parody of the song lyrics: "I made his bitch famous." But it doesn't seem like the photo made Kardashian angry if she noticed it --- the reality star actually took a break from her social media hiatus a few months later to follow Hilton on Instagram.

Selena Gomez likes various posts dissing Justin Bieber

Although she dated Justin Bieber for over five years, there was no love lost on Selena Gomez's side after their break-up in 2016. When Bieber moved on to dating Sofia Richie, Gomez had some fun on Instagram, apparently liking various posts that dissed Bieber and celebrated Gomez.

Rihanna likes a post dissing Beyonce

Two of the most celebrated albums of 2016 came from Rihanna and Beyonce, but only Beyonce's Lemonade managed to get an Album of the Year nomination from the Grammys. Rihanna fan vented about his anger that ANTI didn't get the big nomination, and accused the awards show of purposefully short-changing Rihanna in order to keeping the spotlight on Beyonce. Surprisingly, Rihanna actually liked the shady post, but as Us Weekly reported, later went on to clarify that she hadn't read the full caption and didn't approve of the Instagram user pitting black women against one another.

Joe Jonas gave Reddit users everything they could have wanted in an AMA in 2016, unabashedly discussing various intimate details about his private life. One of those stories was about how he lost his virginity, which he said was to a past girlfriend named Ashley. It didn't take long for fans to realize he was talking about Twilight actress Ashley Greene, whom Jonas dated years back. Michelle Obama wasn't going to let Demi Lovato leave out one of her hit songs during her White House performance earlier this year. Though the singer had purposely left her provocative single "Cool for the Summer" off of the set list for the event, she was coerced into performing it at the request of the First Lady.

Demi Lovato tells the story in the latest cover story for Glamour, admitting that when she was invited to perform at the Nordic state dinner at the White House in May, she made the decision to not sing "Cool for the Summer," despite the fact that it was one of her most well-known singles. Though Lovato found the sexually-charged song to be inappropriate for the setting, she quickly changed her tune once Michelle Obama asked her to perform it.

But Demi Lovato admits that it was still pretty awkward to sing about a brash anthem about sexual experimentation in front of a bunch of Nordic political leaders and the President of the United States. The singer says that she avoided eye contact with President and First Lady Obama throughout the song, but she still managed to throw in one winky little lyric change.

The first single from her fifth studio album Confident, "Cool for the Summer" ushered in a decidedly bolder and more self-assured direction for Demi Lovato and her music. The former Disney star had grown from bubblegum pop-rock in her career beginnings to soulful ballads following her public struggles with self-image and substance abuse, and then took her turn as a bona fide pop star by releasing the sultry song of the summer contender "Cool for the Summer" last year.

But Michelle Obama wasn't the only famous lady that Demi Lovato talked about in the cover story. The singer was also asked about Taylor Swift, whom she's criticized in the past for using feminism as a brand rather than an ideology, and spoke more about some of the harmful aspects she sees in Swift's famous "squad" of friends.

Demi Lovato, who's struggled with eating disorders and self-image, pointed out that she doesn't see a "normal body" among Swift's group of gal pals, and said that it gives people a false image of what they should look like. Lovato was also critical of Swift's "Bad Blood" music video --- a rallying cry for war against a former friend that's been rumored to be about Katy Perry --- and said that it wasn't empowering for women since she was trying to bring down another woman with it.

After the Glamour interview went online, Demi Lovato posted a string of tweets defending her answers to the questions, most likely in reference to her criticism of Taylor Swift. She reminded her followers that words can be taken out of context in interviews, but assured them that she is standing by what she said without apology.

However, at the end of the string of tweets, Lovato wrote that she will be taking a break from music and the spotlight in 2017, writing that she's "not meant for this business and the media." Well, at least she got to sing at the White House before stepping away from the mic --- that's pretty damn cool!

Demi Lovato is bursting with confidence both with and without makeup. The "Confident" singer showed off her freckles in a sun-kissed selfie on Instagram, giving her fans the perfect beachy vibes to say their final goodbyes to summer.

The sunny snapshot is likely from a beach in Rome, where Demi Lovato is currently vacationing during a break in her Future Now tour with Nick Jonas. Clearly, Lovato was able to soak up some rays and spend some time outdoors, but she did say over the weekend that she's been forced to spend most of her trip holed up in her hotel room to avoid paparazzi. Instead of being able to go out as often as she'd like, the 24-year-old singer was channel surfing on Sunday night and mourning the fact that Forensic Files doesn't air in Italy.

Recently, Alicia Keys embraced her natural beauty as well by forgoing her make up at the MTV Video Music Awards this year. After people on Twitter began commenting on Keys' decision, she clarified that she is choosing to be free of makeup from now on, but she still supports anyone who wants to wear makeup.

Kim Kardashian also went with minimal makeup over the weekend, and not just for a low-key day at the beach. Kardashian showed up at the Balenciaga runway show wearing a cinched tench coat, thigh-high boots, and without a touch of makeup. And of course, she looked as gorgeous as ever.

Demi Lovato is currently on a couple weeks vacation in Italy before beginning the final leg of her Future Now world tour, which she co-headlines with Nick Jonas. The duo wrapped up their North American dates at the end of September, and performed in Turkey on Saturday. They'll take to the stage again on Oct. 16 in Mexico City, and then tour Mexico, Brazil, and the Caribbean before ending the tour in Dubai at the beginning of 2017.

Who would have ever though that pop singers and the zombie apocalypse would go together so damn well? It turns out we were wrong to assume that they couldn't. Demi Lovato recently celebrated her 24th birthday, and even the cast of The Walking Dead decided to take the time to wish her well on her special day by sending her a heartwarming video. Don't you wish you could get a video like that your own birthday? I know I do. The above Snapchat video came from Demi Lovato's recent birthday party. During the festivities, the pop star received a video from the cast of the hit AMC zombie series wishing her well, and even taking the time to sing to her. The video then cuts to Josh McDermitt going full Eugene to the camera, telling Ms. Lovato that he very much "appreciates the female form," and giving her the sort of awkward advance that only someone as socially stunted as Eugene could possibly ever attempt.

I've got to hand it to the cast of The Walking Dead. Their on-screen counterparts may fight for their lives week after week, but they are all uniformly charming and charismatic in real life.

And of course, because we're Cinema Blend, we have to take this opportunity to dissect the 39-second video to try and see what we can glean from the upcoming season of The Walking Dead. Taking a head count, we can instantly see that Norman Reedus, Andrew Lincoln, and Josh McDermitt most definitely make appearances, which means that they're all currently together on the set. There's also an incredibly brief glimpse of Steven Yeun, which could possibly indicate that Glenn might actually be safe from Negan's wrath when the season finally premieres.

Here are a handful of actors who aren't shown in the Snapchat video: Lauren Cohan, Michael Cudlitz, Ross Marquand, and Danai Gurira. Does this mean that characters like Maggie, Abraham, Aaron, and Michonne just went to the top of the chopping block? It's not a guarantee, but we can definitely add this video to the mounting list of evidence.

Poor, poor Demi Lovato. She always tries so hard, but sometimes ends up faceplanting in the process. And this time around, it came quite literally, when Demi Lovato was performing a new song “Cool for the Summer” at the KIIS-FM Pool Party in Los Angeles over the weekend when the singer took quite the tumble. Lovato though, quickly made up for the embarrassing wipe out by jumping into the nearest pool. And, at least she’s in good humor about the whole incident, posting a clip of the faceplant on her Twitter account:

There are a few things we learn from this unfortunate event. First off, maybe it’s not the greatest idea to wear insanely high heels while performing on a slippery stage. Second off, maybe it’s not the greatest idea to wear those insanely high heels while singing and dancing on a slippery stage. Oh and also, Demi Lovato can seriously take a hit. That looked like it hurt, and more than just her pride. But the young pop star got right back up, gave her audience the peace sign and jumped right into the pool. Maybe it’s a metaphor for her struggles in the past few years. She’s still trying, and she’s still making really catchy music.

Joking that her wipe out was “#NotCoolForTheSummer”, a play on the track she was performing, Lovato also poked fun at the incident again on Twitter, basically giving us the O.K. to all laugh along with her.

Lovato has been throwing a bunch of pool parties lately, promoting the release of her catchy new song as well as interacting with her fans. You can see in the wipe out video, that afterwards she jumps into a pool with a crowd of fans for some splashing fun. The song, "Cool for the Summer" was officially on July 1st, and has already reached No. 1 on iTunes, so you can expect it to be blasting through the radio real soon. As for the 22-year-old singer, no nasty falls will be stopping her anytime soon.
