Another season of Celebrity IOU is on the way with a premiere on HGTV just before the end of the 2025 TV schedule, and it’s only fitting that the renovation show features a Full House star to kick off Season 11. John Stamos will be the celebrity joining the Property Brothers, a.k.a. Drew and Jonathan Scott, to surprise a friend with a home transformation. The twins opened up about the experience and Jonathan’s accidental hair encounter with the star.

The brothers have hosted plenty of celebrities on Celebrity IOU over the years, with touching behind-the-scenes stories of stars (including Halle Berry) crying and Kevin Hart’s sweet gesture to someone who helped him. Then, there are the sillier BTS stories, like when they poked fun at Anthony Anderson’s “shriek.” The tale of Jonathan Scott and John Stamos’ hair definitely is going in the funnier category, with Stamos coming to the show to do a renovation for Ken, his longtime best friend. Jonathan recalled to TV Insider:

Luckily, Jonathan Scott’s brush with John Stamos’ hair didn’t turn into a brush with legal action, and I can’t help but hope that the moment makes it into the final cut of the episode. Stamos appears in the Season 11 premiere of Celebrity IOU on December 28. Drew Scott shared some details about the patio and garage renovation they were helping Stamos complete for his friend, and there were plenty of laughs along the way. He said:

A renovation is bound to be easier when the people participating can share some laughs together! Stamos is just one of several celebs who will be joining the Scott brothers on Celebrity IOU this season. Viewers will also see them helping Ike Barinholtz, Eva Longoria, Mario Lopez (a.k.a. another ‘90s sitcom fan favorite), and William Shatner, who just won’t quit showbiz despite approaching the age of 95 in the new year. Jonathan Scott in fact named Shatner as one of the stars who brought the most laughs to Season 11, saying:

Celebrity IOU is still an HGTV show, so don’t expect anything that pushes that PG rating any more than an episode of The Property Brothers would. The twins may eternally have to deal with people questioning which one is which, but I don’t think that there’s any chance that fans will have to deal with anything scandalous in Season 11. There’s still a chance that the John Stamos hair incident will make it into the premiere episode, I hope!

Season 11 of Celebrity IOU with the Property Brothers and John Stamos premieres on Sunday, December 28 at 9 p.m. ET on HGTV, and will be available streaming next day with an HBO Max subscription. The past few months have been sorta rough for HGTV fans. Seven shows with devoted fanbases were cut loose over a short period in the summer, with series from popular stars like Christina Haack, Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson, Tarek El Moussa, and Alison Victoria being added to the list of canceled shows in 2025. This has led to millions of viewers being downright angry at the network, but now there is some good news (particularly if you love House Hunters).

After Cancellations, What’s The Good News For HGTV Fans?

While it’s not as though every show that’s ever debuted on HGTV is still airing on the channel, having multiple high profile cancellations within just a few days of each other this summer really pissed off a lot of viewers. It also made them nervous for the fates of every other real estate-based series there, and led other network mainstays like Jonathan Scott and Ty Pennington taking to social media to reassure fans that their shows were safe.

Luckily, along with earlier news that stars such as Ben and Erin Napier, and Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt (of 100 Day Dream Home fame) will have their HGTV shows renewed or be given new spinoffs, there is also word about a brand new programming slate that sees 50 episodes of freshmen shows and a whopping number of new House Hunters installments.

4 New HGTV Shows Have Been Announced

The cabler recently announced that the lineup will soon include four brand new series, including one from the ever-enduring Property Brothers franchise: World’s Bargain Dream Homes, Neighborhood Watch, Botched Homes, and Property Brothers: Under Pressure. All are currently expected to debut at some point in 2026, with the initial seasons giving viewers a total of 50 new episodes of television.

World’s Bargain Dream Homes will follow home buyers who set their sites on “the world’s most affordable properties” which are also “stunning…and in desirable locations around the globe” that usually feature “incredible cost-saving incentives” across 12 episodes. Neighborhood Watch actually showcases “hilarious, outrageous and downright bizarre moments caught on home surveillance video” by using footage from security cameras, nanny cams and everything in between, and Season 1 will have 16 episodes to get audiences hooked.

Meanwhile, Botched Homes will show Florida contractor Charlie Kawas and his crew as they “right the wrongs of shoddy contractors and DIY projects gone awry” to give homeowners abodes they can actually live in safely and with aesthetic pleasure. And, last but certainly not least, the 14-episode Property Brothers: Under Pressure sees the entertaining Scott twins “guide clients through the highs and lows of the home buying process” from the initial search all the way to creating “stunning, smart and functional design solutions” to make sure their clients land in their dream homes.

House Hunters Is Getting Hundreds Of New Episodes

All of that is already amazing and certainly could offer HGTV lovers plenty of options for replacing some of their canceled faves, but the big winners from this latest announcement are those who never tire of watching (the relatively fake) House Hunters. Through the end of 2026, audiences will be treated to an unbelievable 400 brand new episodes of the long-running series.

In addition, the remainder of the 2025 TV schedule will have premieres from new and returning series and specials, as well, with Fixer to Fabulous, Cheap A$$ Beach Houses, Hoarding for the Holidays, My Lottery Dream Home and My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending, and White House Christmas 2025 also hitting the air. So, even though it still sucks to have lost shows like Bargain Block and Farmhouse Fixer, at least we’ll have lots of new content to watch!

This summer has been a rather tough one for fans of several renovation series that call HGTV home, as the 2025 TV schedule has delivered cancellations of seven such shows over the course of two months. By the end of June, four shows (Bargain Block, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate and Izzy Does It) had gotten the home reno axe, with July bringing the cuts of Christina Haack’s Christina on the Coast, Heather Rae and Tarek El Moussa’s The Flipping El Moussas, and Alison Victoria’s Battle on the Beach. Some stars have now spoken out as fans worry that more shows will be canceled.

What Are HGTV Stars Saying About Their Shows Now That So Many Have Been Canceled?

It’s possible that the biggest shocker during this spree which added to the list of 2025 canceled shows was for Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson. The Married to Real Estate hosts, who’d led their series for four seasons, returned from an “unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean” and got word that HGTV had scrapped their show, where the couple helped the denizens of Atlanta, Georgia find their dream houses.

Others on the channel have had bummer news this summer as well, with Christina Haack letting viewers know that she was unbothered by her show being canned because “canceled looks good on me.” Fans are very worried that their other favorites won’t make it, to the point that stars like Ty Pennington have had to reassure viewers. After posting a short and simple clip of himself holding a suitcase on Instagram, the host of series like Rock the Block and Ty Breaker had to reply to multiple followers in an attempt to convince them that his post wasn’t a cancellation notice. In one such reply he said:

The Battle on the Beach host may have gotten so many replies where fans complained about him being forced out of HGTV because the show he participated in with Windy City Rehab host Alison Victoria was, in fact, among those canceled.

While he’s not going anywhere (and is already working on another series for the channel), neither are Drew and Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers fame. They spoke with TV Insider after their new series, Chasing the West, was pushed back from its previously announced debut date of July 10 to the 30th. Apparently, that just came down to a change of network programming plans and their filming schedule. Jonathan said:

A similar answer to concerns that a show had been pulled came from Rehab Addict host Nicole Curtis. The first two episodes of her new season hit the airwaves in early July, but then it stopped airing additional episodes without warning. Curtis took to Instagram to explain what happened, and told worried fans:

It’s thought that all the cancellations have come down because of two main reasons. Not only has the cost of building materials and home design items gone up by a lot in the post-pandemic years, but there are also increased delays in receiving supplies, and both things tie up already long and complicated budgets and filming deadlines. Hopefully, though, this will be the end of the HGTV cancellation bloodbath, at least for the foreseeable future.

Known as the Property Brothers, Jonathan and Drew Scott have shared a lot of milestones in their lives given they are twins and have been the co-hosts of their reality series for 14 seasons. But when it comes to getting married in the public eye, they're pretty easy to tell apart given Jonathan Scott’s recent comments on his upcoming marriage plans to Zooey Deschanel (which have been at a standstill for years).

Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel have been dating since 2019, and announced plans to tie the knot back in 2023. As we continue to wait for the sweet celebrity couple to hear wedding bells, Scott was asked if he’d be interested in televising his wedding like Drew Scott did back in 2018. Here’s how he responded:

In an interview with Swooon, Jonathan Scott was very matter-of-fact when it came to his thoughts on publicly saying “I do.” Apparently there’s absolutely no way it will happen. This comes after Drew Scott had a TLC wedding special called Drew and Linda Say I Do. In the Property Brothers special, the couple planned their dream weeklong Italian wedding with three months to prepare after being together for eight years.

Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel actually met while appearing on Carpool Karaoke: The Series, so it’s not like their relationship hasn’t been in the public eye already. They’ve also recreated Zooey’s famous 500 Days Of Summer scene and have kept fans apprised of their romance in the past six years they’ve been together. But agreeing to say their wedding vows in front of the world is a whole other situation, and I don’t blame the couple for opting out of what Drew Scott and Linda did.

The couple became engaged while taking a family vacation to Scotland. Jonathan Scott previously shared that he planned the special moment that a pipe band was playing their song, Neil Young’s “Harvest Moon,” while they were up on this “beautiful bluff overlooking the city.” While this magical moment was happening, her kids pulled up a banner that read “Will you marry me?” Obviously, the leading lady of the New Girl cast said yes!

Since then, we’ve heard from Jonathan Scott that there hasn’t been any update on their wedding because they’ve been “having a ton of fun” and not planning the big day quite yet. Funny enough, Jonathan Scott has faced some pressure from his brother Drew Scott to keep him in the loop about what they decide since their schedules are often so intertwined.

For now, the Property Brothers have a new series called Chasing The West that premieres on HGTV this Wednesday, July 30.

For well over a decade now, Jonathan and Drew Scott have been amongst HGTV’s most popular stars, with Property Brothers as well as a slew of other home renovation series and spinoffs continuing to pop up on the 2025 TV schedule. The twins do a lot of their work together, so it would be easy to assume they earn the same amount of money, right? Apparently, that’s a sensitive subject for the siblings.

I can’t imagine it’s always easy being in business with your brother, but the Scott twins have a “no b.s. policy” that allows them to work together. Money, however, can be a touchy issue for anybody, and apparently, it’s caused some disagreements in the past for Jonathan and Drew. Andy Cohen broached the topic on his Sirius XM radio show, saying he assumed their bank accounts looked as identical as the twins themselves. Jonathan Scott indicated that’s not the case, saying:

Andy Cohen confirmed with the Brother vs. Brother stars that yes, this was an actual fight they had, and it’s kind of easy to understand why. If Jonathan Scott felt like he was carrying more weight on Property Brothers, I can see why he might want a bigger piece of the pie.

Drew apparently disagreed that the division of labor tipped so far in one direction or the other, saying there’s a lot of work put in by both bros that’s not shown on TV. He said:

So, in addition to both twins being able to carry out both the contract stuff and the reno stuff, there’s also plenty of work being done by Drew Scott off-camera, even if Jonathan’s work in the house was what was being shown on TV.

I’d imagine their paychecks might have been amongst the more contentious of issues the Scotts have had to deal with over the years, but they’re brothers, so it’s certainly not the only thing. In fact, there was disagreement in the very beginning over what to call the show, because Drew hated the name Property Brothers. (I’m just glad they didn’t go with their original name, Bros Before Renos.) They’ve also bickered over who was the better bagpipe player.

The home renovators can still be seen in multiple shows (which are available to stream with an HBO Max subscription and on Discovery Plus), even amid the numerous HGTV cancellations.

At least five shows have gotten the axe at the home design network, not including reports that two of Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s shows are not returning either — Christina on the Coast and The Flipping El Moussas. We’ll have to see if and how the changes affect the Property Brothers — and their bank accounts.

Fans were thrilled last August, when HGTV star Jonathan Scott and actress Zooey Deschanel finally got engaged four years after they started dating. The “Harvest Moon” Scottish proposal sounded like something out of a dream, and if you’re wondering when we’ll see what kind of wedding ceremony the adorable duo has planned, you’re definitely not alone. As Jonathan joked about he and Deschanel still not setting a date, it was the sentiment from his twin brother Drew Scott that made me laugh.

The proposal was apparently a tearful affair, as Jonathan Scott got Zooey Deschanel’s two children involved during their family vacation in Glasgow, Scotland. The couple announced their engagement with three sweet words and then jaunted off to Paris to continue their celebrations in the City of Love. While it sounds like they’re still having a blast together more than a year later, they haven’t really dived into actually planning the wedding, and the Property Brothers star joked to US Weekly that he’s just as frustrated as anyone by that, saying:

I mean, who’s going to hate on that? The New Girl star and the contractor have always been one of the cutest celebrity couples, and to have him say wedding planning hasn’t progressed because they’re just having so much fun being together is almost too much to stand. I get his point, too, because getting all those dates and details nailed down is probably stressful enough to rival the biggest home renovation.

Leave it to Jonathan’s brother, then, to bring some real talk, as Drew Scott — who debuted a new show with his brother, Don’t Hate Your House with the Property Brothers — gave his take, saying the “people need to know”:

The man’s not wrong. Real estate expert Drew Scott knows he’s going to be required to attend his twin brother’s wedding, and I’m willing to bet his responsibilities won’t end there, so it must be hard for him to make any long-term plans, knowing that Jonathan Scott and Zooey Deschanel’s wedding could up-end it all. He apparently hasn’t been quiet about it either, as Jonathan confirmed:

That is so funny (and relatable to anyone with a sibling) that Drew Scott’s first reaction to his brother’s engagement was how inconvenient the whole ordeal is for his schedule.

It’s probably not fair, however, for Jonathan Scott to say they haven’t gotten anywhere with their plans. He’s spoken about how important his Scottish heritage is to him, and that’s something that’s likely to be incorporated into his and Zooey Deschanel’s nuptials. He’s also said he already “plays the role” of the Elf actress’ husband, so they really just want to have a big party with the people they love.

It may not affect our schedules the same way as it does Drew Scott’s, but I know fans are excited to see the couple get their chance to do that.

If you’ve ever done any work around your own home, you will likely know that the possibility of hurting yourself while in the midst of such an act is simply not zero, especially if you don’t engage in the undertaking on a regular basis. As such, when Drew and Jonathan Scott remodel spaces with their famous guests on their HGTV series, Celebrity IOU, the occasional injury has happened. And, they just amusingly poked fun at Anthony Anderson’s “shriek” when he hurt himself on the show.

What Did Drew And Jonathan Scott Say About Anthony Anderson’s Reaction To Hurting Himself On Celebrity IOU?

Drew and Jonathan Scott are well known for many things (like their sense of humor, which landed them a hilarious cameo on Girls5Eva), but it’s entirely possible that they wouldn’t be the moguls they are today without the immense popularity of the Property Brothers. That HGTV hit (which almost went by a very different renovation-focused name) led to a number of spinoffs, including Celebrity IOU, which recently began its eighth season.

For the most part, remodels have gone off without much of an injurious hitch (not counting Michael Bublé’s post-demo day MRI), even though they get some help from the celebrities who are fixing places up for their friends/family. However, the Scotts just recalled to TV Insider when black-ish star Anthony Anderson sustained a relatively mild wound during Season 4, while discussing whether or not the celebrities have ever balked at doing something that might seem dangerous. After Drew responded with, “No. Safety is first, so I think they trust us,” Jonathan continued, and said:

Obviously, though the pain and (I’m sure) sight of quite a bit of his own blood was shocking to the former The Masked Singer competitor, Drew and Jonathan aren’t terrible people (Do you think Jonathan would have come up with a themed Scottish proposal to Zooey Deschanel if he were?) so they only feel free to poke fun at Anderson because everything turned out OK. While I think maybe even the comedic actor would be able to laugh at this now, I do completely understand why his immediate reaction was to let out a concerned “shriek.”

I once had a gardening accident that involved the sharper-than-expected blades of some scissors coming into contact with the delicate flesh of my inner arm. And, while I didn’t scream at the sight of my lovely brown skin parting to reveal the melanin-free organ underneath as the wound slowly filled with blood…um, it definitely made me very nervous and possibly a little light-headed. So, I totally get weirdly intense reactions when an injury actually isn’t that bad. As Drew added:

Yeah, man. Sometimes that’s how it goes when you hurt yourself, particularly if you didn’t see it coming and suddenly there’s blood everywhere. Luckily, Anderson (whose episode you can watch with a Max subscription) was alright in the end, and he didn’t end up emotional for a very different reason than the Celebrity IOU guest stars who frequently cry on the show.

The worlds of skateboarding, real estate renovations, and Hollywood collided this week when Tony Hawk and the Property Brothers, Drew, and Jonathan Scott, engaged in some playful banter with actor Chris Pratt across social media. Not one to be outdone, Pratt had nothing but shade for the trio after they trolled him and his upcoming 2024 movie release with a Garfield stuffed animal that had seen better days.

The shenanigans began when the Scott brothers posted a video on Instagram, which you can see below, showcasing the somewhat worse-for-wear vintage plush toy of the character. As mentioned, that move was a not-so-subtle nod to the upcoming Garfield animated feature, which Chris Pratt is lending his voice to. The caption read: "Hey, @prattprattpratt…I guess [Tony Hawk], [Drew Scott] and my timing was perfect to find this OG [Garfield] in the back of a buddy’s garage. Though this one is a little creepier 😹 Looking forward to seeing the new Garfield Movie!" Check out the footage for yourself:

The post quickly gathered likes and comments, sparking the Super Mario Bros. Movie star, known for his quick wit and good humor, to respond. Taking to his Instagram stories, the Parks and Recreation vet shared a screenshot of the Scott brothers’ post involving Tony Hawk with his own caption layered on top. He wrote: 

Okay, seriously, I agree with Chris Pratt. That stuffed toy is straight nightmare fuel. The playful exchange, which you can see the Passenger actor's side of below, is funny but also acts as a subtle but effective promotional push for Pratt’s role in the new kid-friendly movie, which I’m sure the whole family will love.

Thanks to the the Garfield Movie trailer, we know a few things about Sony’s new take on the lazy feline. For example, besides the Lego Movie veteran, the comic strip adaptation's ensemble cast includes voicals from the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Hannah Waddingham, Cecily Strong, Ving Rhames, Snoop Dogg and so many more. The preview suggests a blend of heartfelt moments, humor and a generous helping of lasagna.

One particularly charming scene from the trailer features Jon Arbuckle's initial meeting with the lasagna-loving kitten. This introduction is heartwarming and humorously flips the script on pet adoption, with Garfield quipping, “That’s how I adopted Jon.” It’s clear why fans, including the Property Brothers, eagerly anticipate this film. The combination of a strong cast, emotional depth, and humor appears to set the stage for a memorable addition to the Garfield saga, and considering it has been some time since the fat cat has been in a movie of his own, I think it's about time he returns to the big screen. 

As The Garfield Movie's May 30th release date approaches, you can expect more details about the film to emerge. In the meantime, it's the perfect opportunity to revisit our look back at the previous Garfield movies and specials. And, of course, keep checking social media to see if more playful shade is thrown by Chris Pratt or anyone else.

If you enjoy HGTV then you almost certainly have spent at least a little time watching Drew and Jonathan Scott. The twins currently sit atop an ever-expanding home renovation and design empire, which all started with a little show called Property Brothers in 2011. Of all the cool things about the renovating Scott brothers one could know, though, something that many are likely unaware of is that the popular show was nearly called something else. Well, the original name for the series was just a Jeopardy! clue, and I’m really glad that they didn’t stick with that one. 

What Was The Original Name For HGTV’s Property Brothers?

Anyone who’s watched Jeopardy! knows that the long-running game show is good for unearthing a wealth of information for those who like to play along at home. A recent episode featured some details about what would become the hit renovation series in the form of a clue, and Jonathan Scott was very willing to share it on his Instagram. Take a look!

WOW. Alright, I’m going to go ahead and just assume that I speak for pretty much every one of their fans and say that I think these two definitely chose the right title for their show. I mean, come on. Bros Before Renos is just…icky. But, I can only imagine that trying to name a TV show, especially when you’ve never had one before, is incredibly difficult. In fact, it should come as no surprise that the basically terrible Bros Before Renos was one in a long line of potential show titles that the brothers considered before (blissfully) settling on Property Brothers.

It was during a 2021 interview that the Scott boys revealed that they came up with several possible titles, with choices like Brothers in Business (boring), Builder Brothers (maybe), and Bungalow Brothers (I’d watch that…) also being among their options. They also revealed that Drew, initially, hated the name Property Brothers, because he thought it would make them easy to replace with any other renovating bros that HGTV might find, should executives think that the twins weren’t quite working out.

Luckily, despite the fact that each brother admits they were “bad” at hosting when they first started, the duo didn’t have to worry about being replaced. Not only do they know how to work well together with “a no b.s. policy,” but they pretty soon got the hang of being their real selves on camera, which has led to them being the stars they are today. 

And, from that one, easily-could-have-been-poorly-named show, fans have gotten a very expansive franchise of spinoffs over the years. This includes shows like Celebrity IOU, Brother vs. Brother, Property Brothers: At Home, and Property Brothers: Forever Home, among many others. So, the name they chose absolutely worked out for them.

The concept of “reality TV” often brings to mind the hyper-dramatic worlds of the Real Housewives franchise or the Kardashian family, but HGTV’s spinoff-spawning hit Property Brothers is probably a better example of reality than the other two. (Although anyone who’d hate constantly working with their sibling may beg to differ.) Drew and Jonathan Scott have been crushing it in the home renovation game for over a decade now, and built up a wildly successful production studio bearing their name during that time. But just because viewers are always seeing the brothers smiling on TV, at least when they’re not suffering losses on Brother vs. Brother, that doesn’t mean their experiences with each and every homeowner have been all happiness. Sometimes things led to — dun-dun-dunnn — Drew Scott leaving a woman shocked and mortified. 

Speaking with THR about a wide range of topics encompassing many aspects of their career and personal lives, the duo were asked about any instances from their TV efforts where the homeowners were left upset by something or another. And after mentioning an example that will appear lower down, Jonathan Scott talked about the time ol' Drew unwittingly blew up an expecting mother's pregnancy secret. Here's how they explained the hilariously awkward situation:

• Jonathan: Drew started rubbing the tummy of a homeowner and said, 'And that’s not the only reveal we’ve got. Right?' She hadn’t told anybody she was pregnant yet … the mortified shock of this woman!
• Drew: For the record, I asked our team, and they said everybody knew. I didn’t realize they meant our crew, not the family.

I can only imagine that everyone involved wished they had an adjacent room to step into while closing the door behind them. For one, it's just genuinely not the best move in the world to address a woman's pregnancy to her face for the first time by rubbing her tum-tum. They could have been the only two people around, and it would still be a nope. 

And then to tack on the fact that nobody else in her family was aware of the news yet, that just takes it over the top in a "hide my head behind my hands for so long that I forget what the sun looks like" kind of way. Though I do like to think, if the cameras had been rolling in the moment, that Drew would have looked right into it with this expression.

That's probably the kind of story that they'll never have two of, for all the right reasons. Drew Scott has amusingly blocked his own son's face on social media, so he does know a thing or two about the importance of personal privacy. But maybe the above story happened before he became a parent. 

Before ribbing Drew for leaking people's pregnancies, Jonathan Scott brought up this story about a homeowner getting unexpectedly emotional about the updates that were made. In his words:

That story is intersting and perhaps touching, assuming the women didn't remain upset and angered by losing their tile counters. But it's not as easy for Jonathan to make fun of Drew for it, so it's less fun, amirite?

While it’s pretty obvious that being a celebrity is probably a lot of fun sometimes, famous people also have some concerns that a lot of other people really don’t have to think about, or at least don’t have to think about as much. One of those things is privacy, and in an effort to keep their kids somewhat anonymous, many celebs hide their faces on social media, and now Property Brothers star Drew Scott is the latest such parent to hide his child’s face, but he’s done it in the most awkward way possible.

How Did Property Brothers’ Drew Scott Hide His Kid’s Face On Instagram?

We know that once you become a public figure, fans will want every bit of information they can get about you, whether you want certain things to be publicly available or not. This includes lots of details about any children one might have, even if they’re newly born. Though many of our favorite actors, musicians, and other personalities post pregnancy announcements, several also prefer to hide the faces of their kids for a number of reasons, and the home renovation specialist just chose a hilarious and appropriately awkward way to conceal his young son, Parker, on Instagram. Take a look!

Ooooh, boy! If ever there was a celeb post capable of inspiring lols, this one from the HGTV star has certainly nailed it, right? Not only did Scott manage to hide Parker’s face while giving fans an update on how the boy (who’ll turn one in May) is growing and offer us a lovely pic of his wife, Linda Phan, but it also gave us, uh…a great up-the-nose-double-chin shot of the fighting Girls5eva guest actor, which, you know, we were all hoping to be able to head into 2023 with. Sure…right.

This is something that’s become quite a bit more common in recent years, with celebrities becoming very aware of how it might negatively affect their kids to become totally public figures very early on, as well as being worried about the assorted potential dangers of having their children’s identities be so easily available to strangers. 

Fellow HGTV star, Home Town’s Erin Napier, has spoken many times about why she hides her kids faces on Instagram and her series, while Christina on the Coast host Christina Hall briefly stopped showing her youngest son at all after accusations of using his image for paid posts came from her ex, Ant Anstead. And, the star of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3, Chris Pratt, and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, have become masters at not fully showing their growing family.

It’s wonderfully clear that the proud new parents are still enjoying their bundle of joy, as anyone would be. But, Scott and Phan have been incredibly transparent about how difficult it was for them to conceive, as they documented much of the process on their YouTube page, where you can also see other updates on how they've been adjusting to life with Parker. He even admitted to knowing he’d be “crying like a mess” when the baby finally arrived, so it’s just good to see all the fun that they’re having as first time parents.

It would seem impossible, at this point, to be a fan of any home renovation shows and to not know about two of the most prominent stars in the field, Drew and Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers fame. The HGTV hosts have become incredibly successful over the past decade plus at turning their knowledge as a real estate agent/home designer (Drew) and contractor (Jonathan) into a number of professional enterprises, which all stemmed from the popularity of their flagship series. Now, though, they’ve revealed just how “bad” they were on television when they started out.

What Did The Property Brothers Say About Being Bad When They Started Doing TV?

The Scott siblings began doing the show in their native Canada, and later had it picked up by HGTV. That has led to mountains of success for the brothers, including everything from a number of spinoffs, like the tear-filled Celebrity IOU (which sees famous folk gift deserving people in their lives with renovated homes), and funny appearances on scripted shows like Girls5eva. A lot of their bread and butter, though, is still based on their original renovation series, and according to what they recently told the crowd while speaking at the Lifestyle Leaders gathering (via Variety), they definitely had to get used to plying their trade on TV. As Jonathan said:

Even though the renovating twins (whose mom has one way of telling them apart) are known to be quite funny and personable, with sometimes rather goofy personas, it’s understandable that when they started out they felt the need to fit into a TV host mode. But, as a lot of people can probably attest to, regardless of their profession, it’s usually a lot easier to just be yourself in many areas of life and not try to force yourself to fit into any preconceived boxes, even if that does mean bickering over bagpipes with your twin on camera. He continued:

I haven’t seen any of those super early shows of theirs, but it sounds a lot like they were trying to hide their country music-singing, aspiring-magician ways under some very stiff ideals of what they could do as hosts. Luckily, they realized pretty quickly that such a thing wasn’t really going to cut it for them and their “no b.s.” work policy, and loosened up enough for their viewers to get to know the real them. 

Among other fun facts to know about Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott, there’s evidence the two twins have plenty in common, including their shared work lives. In other areas the two are dissimilar. For example, Jonathan’s a contractor while Drew’s into real estate. In addition, Drew Scott recently had a baby with wife Linda Phan while Jonathan isn’t married yet.  Given the fact the two are often lumped together, unsurprisingly when the two brothers were interviewed Jonathan Scott still got a baby-related question. His A+ response? 

In a recent interview, Drew was asked about his little one, Parker, after which ET followed up with a question for Jonathan. Scott was asked if he and his partner Zooey Deschanel might be following in Drew and Linda’s “footsteps” soon. The HGTV star dodged the question brilliantly, quipping,

And that kids, is how you sidestep a question you don’t want to answer. The two initially met while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke in 2019. Scott and Deschanel found their dream home in 2022, but the two aren’t engaged yet. In addition, Deschanel is raising two kids she had with ex-Jacob Pechenik and Scott seems to be helping out with that blended family arrangement swimmingly. While he and Zooey Deschanel have been together for a few years now, they haven’t spoken publicly about the potential for more kids.

Both stars are busy with their careers as well. The Elf star has roles like Harold and the Purple Crayon coming up. Meanwhile, Jonathan Scott is doing press for the new season of Celebrity IOU and still works on other HGTV projects like Property Brothers not to mention the myriad projects he produces. 

As for Drew Scott and his wife, the road to becoming parents wasn’t easy. The couple struggled to get pregnant for years and were open about the journey along the way. Linda Phan struggles with Graves Disease and deals with thyroid issues, so getting pregnant was a journey. Eventually, they settled on IVF to help bring baby Parker into the world. Drew Scott also spoke fondly about his son and how he’s been rapidly growing in recent months. 

Speaking of the aforementioned dream home, however, Jonathan Scott did divulge that he and Deschanel will be hosting the holidays for the first time, which should mark another big step for the couple. 

Just in case you wondered, the 500 Days of Summer star will be doing the cooking for this momentous event. Drew, Linda and Parker will also be attending. So, it sounds like it will be one big family affair.

The second season of Girls5eva gave Peacock subscribers another eight episodes of clever and hilarious satire, not to mention one of 2022’s biggest TV bangers so far with the NSFW empowerment jam “B.P.E.” But who could have expected that one of the season’s biggest and wildest highlights would include appearances from Drew and Jonathan Scott of Property Brothers fame? Regardless of whether it could have been predicted or not, the home-renovating siblings brought their comedic chops to the forefront, and fans can’t get enough. The guest spot is arguably Emmy-worthy in my book, thanks in large part to Drew Scott’s expertly choreographed fight scene with Paula Pell, and creator Meredith Scardino shared some insights into how it all came about. 

Fans Are Loving The Property Brothers Cameo And Drew Scott’s Martial Arts Skills 

Girls5eva Season 2 put the Property Brothers stars in a very weird spotlight, narrative-wise, as the titular girl group made a deal with the Scott brothers’ fictional record label — Property Records, natch — and were tasked with throwing an album together in six weeks’ time to promote a new line of scented hammers to serve as merchandise while on tour. Unfortunately, they didn’t end up going on tour after all, because Girls5Eva is just too watchable, which sparked Paula Pell’s Gloria to accost Drew and Jonathan Scott, thus leading to the epic-for-a-comedy brawl sequence. And in a newly renovated home, no less. 

Paula Pell shared her appreciation for the scene on Twitter, and she definitely wasn’t the only one, although she obviously experienced it like no one else. Here’s what Pell had to say:

While those commenting on Paula Pell’s post were mostly begging for Season 3 updates, other Girls5eva fans were more honed in with their reactions. In a tweet, journalist Emily Nussbaum nailed the sentiment that the moment was something that has been missing from our TVs for all of existence until now, even though it was the only destiny that makes sense. 

I feel like Drew and Jonathan Scott would be perfect in a Property Brothers-esque spoof series in which all the home-reno tropes get subverted for comedic splendor. Even just their post-fight moment where the bros went right back into TV-presenter mode slayed me as much as any other moments from the show’s super-talented cast. But let’s get back to the fight praise with the tweet below.

Even though Drew Scott’s fight reel was pretty impressive all around, and even though he held is own against Gloria for a while — nobody’s a match for her titanium leg — some fans were still quick to dunk on the HGTV stars in good humor. 

All in all, it’s safe to say Drew and Jonathan Scott’s finale cameos were major highlights so far for Girls5eva, which will hopefully get many more seasons to come, since I could probably watch the always brilliant Andrew Rannels mispronouncing things until the end of time. But for now, let’s check out how the Property Brothers stars ended up on the streaming comedy. 

How The Property Brothers Cameo And Fight Scene Came To Be 

As Meredith Scardino put it to USA Today, the narrative push when crafting the season’s arc was to poke fun at celebrity branding and influencing, with Drew and Jonathan Scott’s country music ties making them an ideal fit for Girls5eva. And it turns out they agreed to do it based on one of Sarah Bareilles’ best songs from Season 1. In Scardino’s words:

Obviously the Property Brothers’ cameo could have involved any number of oddball situations and sequences, and some fans might be surprised to learn that Drew Scott’s fight choreography skills weren’t invented for the show. Rather, the video of Scott and stuntman Daniel Locicero that the characters watch in the finale was something that already existed. When the writers requested the siblings to send examples of their likes and interests as a way of further inspiring how the cameo would turn out, Drew Scott sent that clip over in a folder marked “Stage Combat.” (Which is just a surreal detail in and of itself.) Here’s how Meredith Scardino said they reacted upon discovering the vid. 

I guess if you want to get your martial arts talents known to the world, it helps to have a mega-successful cable show that sparks lots of spinoffs. Here’s hoping Drew and Jonathan Scott continue to build up their acting careers when they’re not tearing down non-load-bearing walls.

A-list celebrities who most people know from TV, music, or movies can be seen as far removed from real life, but sometimes fans get a look at what they're like in real life. This is never more evident than on the Property Brothers spinoff Celebrity IOU, where the Hollywood elite are enlisted by the Scott twins to renovate for someone special to them – and things get pretty emotional. Amidst the currently airing third season of the show, the Property Bros. opened up about the celebs who were reduced to real-life crying, such as Oscar-winner Halle Berry and the one they were really surprised about.

There are in fact several awesome stars slated for Season 3 of Celebrity IOU. Lisa Kudrow of Friends fame will swing a hammer, and John C. Reilly’s “Funky Cabin Makeover” for a buddy is imminent. What we haven't yet seen, though, is crying from the former Catwoman or a major star from the music biz (and American Song Contest co-host). However, Property Brothers’ Drew Scott promised People that both are in store this season. He shared,

Waterworks from Snoop Dogg? Seasoned actress Halle Berry is less of a surprise, but Snoop, but Snoop seems surprising, as Drew Scott noted. We must remember that the Property Brothers have also gotten emotion out of the likes of Brad Pitt and Melissa McCarthy in the past, too. Plus, Snoop has shown as softer side as a TV co-host.

The Scott brothers explained that Halle Berry’s stint on Celebrity IOU entailed making over her fifth-grade teacher’s home in Ohio. What’s more, the actress would apparently juggle regular flights out to Cleveland to be part of things while also filming another project at the same time. (More than likely, Berry was still in the midst of making The Mothership, a sci-fi film coming to Netflix that reportedly wrapped last August.)

Meanwhile, the job that seemingly got Snoop Dogg to tear up was not his new streaming show that is COPS meets America’s Funniest Home Videos. And not his tenure as host on American Song Contest, of which he once candidly said that he hates the rehearsals. It was actually repurposing the garage of his youth football league’s commissioner on Celebrity IOU, says the brothers.

Jonathan Scott also reminisced on Tiffany Haddish becoming another victim of the show’s tear fest. Scott reflected that the Like A Boss star often uses comedy to ease tension in the room, but they know by now when emotions are rising. Haddish was seen helping out her best friend of 20 years in the Season 3 premiere of Celebrity IOU and, according to the Property Bros, “it just gets to you.” Scott continued,

Over the years on HGTV, we’ve seen Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott accomplish some wild things. Clients want open floor plans, terrible design ideas, in-floor heating and a dozen other demands on short timeframes and shorter budgets – but the siblings usually come through in the end. Heck, their celebrity spinoff series even pulled in Renee Zellweger and made the likes of Viola Davis and Brad Pitt emotional on-screen. But what we’ve never seen the Property Brothers do is become parents. Drew’s first child with his wife Linda is due shortly, though, and the 43-year-old already knows how he’s going to react.

The home renovation TV personality met his wife, Linda Phan, back in 2010. They lived together for several years before taking the marital plunge in 2018 with a destination wedding. (The ceremony was filmed as a TLC special, called Drew and Linda Say I Do.) Then at the tail-end of last year, the couple announced they were expecting their first baby together, due some time in May. Just a few weeks away now. Drew Scott shared to Entertainment Tonight that he probably won’t be his usual cool, calm and collected self from Property Brothers at the time of his child’s birth, saying,

So it would seem that manic drop-kicking Property Brothers clientele aren’t at the top of the list of the most daunting scenarios for Drew Scott. It’s actually imminent fatherhood, and who can blame him? Nonetheless, he still has his twin brother Jonathan in his corner, who told the outlet that he’s going to be the “coolest uncle that ever existed.”

Linda and Drew Scott’s long journey to becoming parents wasn’t necessarily an easy one, though. As was documented in their personal YouTube vlog, the couple had to undergo both IUI and IVF treatments in order to conceive. Now, with the baby almost here, Scott reflected on the process and his wife, adding,

Drew Scott’s brother Jonathan isn’t exactly on the road to fatherhood himself, so Drew may not become an uncle himself too soon, but who knows? The HGTV alum has been dating Zooey Deschanel for over a year. Apparently, the New Girl star has figured out a way to tell the twins apart, and her beau in turn has figured out a concept for a spinoff that revolves around her.

Fans can currently look forward to the upcoming third season of the Property Brothers spinoff Celebrity IOU. I hear Snoop Dogg even cries in it… but likely not as much as Drew Scott here soon. There are a number of famous names in the home renovation TV show game, but there are few who can come close to the popularity of the Property Brothers, their hatred of that moniker notwithstanding. One of Drew and Jonathan Scott’s newest shows, Celebrity IOU, quickly gained tons of adoring fans when it debuted in 2020. Now, the show is preparing to return to HGTV for its third season, and a whole host of stars, including Halle Berry and Snoop Dogg, will be along for the ride!

What Stars Will Be On Drew And Jonathan Scott’s Celebrity IOU In Season 3?

To their millions and millions of fans, Drew and Jonathan Scott are definitely at the top of the well-designed heap when it comes to home remodeling / renovation series, and even though they’ve already been favorites for many years, viewers continue to tune in any time the brothers come up with a new, heart-warming series for us to watch. And, that’s exactly what can be said for Celebrity IOU, which stands out among the rest for allowing us to follow along as celebrities gift their friends, family, or other special people in their lives with surprise renovations, after rolling up their sleeves and joining the Scott brothers to do some of that hard work themselves (but hopefully more carefully than Michael Bublé).

Celebrity IOU Season 3, which hits HGTV with eight new episodes on April 18, will see a number of very well-known and beloved actors, musicians, and comedians join the duo this time around. The lineup will feature black-ish and Law & Order star Anthony Anderson, The Afterparty’s Tiffany Haddish, Friends and Space Force’s Lisa Kudrow, longtime America’s Got Talent judge Howie Mandel, Winning Time’s John C. Reilly, and comedian Ali Wong, along with the aforementioned Halle Berry and Snoop Dogg.

For the most part, we aren’t sure just yet what order the stars will appear in or whom they’ll be working to complete a special home renovation project for. But, we do have details on the season opener, which will see Tiffany Haddish surprise her best buddy of 20 years with “a spacious new kitchen and living area where her family can gather and a luxurious spa-like bathroom.” 

We also know that Season 3 of Celebrity IOU will put a spotlight on a number of different rehab projects. Customizations will include the teams turning a blah bachelor pad into a “modern showplace,” turning a plain ol’ backyard into a fancy retreat complete with an outdoor kitchen that pulls out all of the stops, and transforming a basic basement “​​into an entertainer’s dream.”

The first couple of seasons for Celebrity IOU saw fans become engrossed with everything from Brad Pitt’s emotional renovation for a special friend, to the slinky evening gown worn by Allison Janney as she helped to demolish part of her assistant’s home, and Kevin Hart’s efforts to spiff up the home of the trainer who helped him recover from his car accident. So, there’s no doubt that fans will love everything that comes in Season 3.

Zooey Deschanel has been living her best life with boyfriend Jonathan Scott, a name that interior design fans are sure to recognize as one half of the HGTV super-duo the Property Brothers. Jonathan Scott and his identical twin brother Drew share a particularly strong family resemblance, so how does Zooey tell them apart? According to her, it’s actually pretty easy. 

Zooey Deschanel recently popped by The Kelly Clarkson Show to chat with the longtime The Voice coach about parenthood and her burgeoning relationship with Property Brother Jonathan Scott. Knowing that the Scott siblings can be difficult to tell apart at times, Kelly Clarkson asked Zooey Deschanel if she had any tips or tricks for discerning the twins’ identities. Plot twist: Zooey doesn’t see the resemblance. She said: 

So, the secret to telling the Property Brothers apart? Thinking they don’t look alike in the first place, which admittedly requires pretty specific parameters. Beyond that, if fans are still stuck, they can always hope for one of them to have a beard. Not that Deschanel needs it.

It’s probably for the best that Zooey Deschanel finds it easy to distinguish Jonathan and Drew, considering that she met both of them at the same time on an episode of Carpool Karaoke: The Series by way of The Late Late Show with James Corden. Sparks flew almost immediately, and not from any dangling car mufflers, so it’s no surprise that they started dating shortly after the segment aired. 

Zooey Deschanel also appeared on Celebrity IOU, a Property Brothers-centric miniseries that features celebrities building dream homes for deserving pals. While she may not have been a demolition expert, Zooey Deschanel definitely made an impact: her love of interior design inspired Jonathan and Drew to pitch a show concept that features the 500 Days of Summer star fixing up old houses. It may just be a pipe dream for now, but it would certainly make for a fun addition to the HGTV canon. Let’s just hope that viewers can continue to tell the difference between Jonathan and Drew Scott.

HGTV fans have been able to see more and more of the Property Brothers' Drew and Jonathan Scott over the past several years. The immense popularity of the twins and their debut show has led to many spinoff series, as well as a number of other business enterprises which promise to keep them in the public eye for a long time. But, that could have been very different if they hadn't gone with that title for their original home renovation series, and now they're talking about why Drew 'hated' the name Property Brothers at first.

Not only do the Scott siblings' fans seem to love that first show of theirs, but it took off to such a degree that they are actually just known as the Property Brothers to millions of people. That might not have been the case, though, had they decided on another title because of Drew Scott's dislike for the the name. While being interviewed on The Carlos Watson Show, they were asked who came up with the title, which led to Jonathan's reveal that Drew originally 'hated' it.

I think we can all agree now that the moniker Property Brothers is exceedingly catchy and has suited the duo well over their many years as home renovation / real estate gurus. However, it's kinda hard not to see where Drew Scott and his "business brain" were coming from back in the day when they were just starting to work on the idea for their show. Pretty much everyone is replaceable at some point, especially on a TV show when your name isn't in the title.

Going way more specific for their title does seem like it would have been a much better idea, and they could have gone with any number of other names. As their die-hard fans probably know, the Scotts are far from one trick ponies when it comes to being good at things. Before getting into real estate, they pursued acting, music, sports (even ping pong!), and other creative endeavors like clowning.

Right now, we could be calling these two the Bagpipe Builders, or the Constructing Clowns, or even...you know what? Let's just give them a chance to talk about the other names they considered before I get too carried away. According to Drew:

Well, at least they tried to lean in to the alliteration, and I can't be mad at that. As Drew Scott noted, though, he and Jonathan finally accepted the least 'stupid' of their potential ideas and went on to become the Property Brothers we all know and love.

I gotta say though, Bungalow Brothers IS starting to grow on me.

Making a house a home is no small feat. It takes money, determination, and a penchant for thinking outside the box. We've seen it manifest in countless ways, shapes, and forms on HGTV's home renovation shows over the years. Zooey Deschanel has even pitched in. But word to the wise, one side of the Property Brothers coin, Drew Scott, has a design idea pet peeve that makes him “die a little inside.”

HGTV's Property Brothers has been a staple on the network for the last ten years. In that time, fans have seen Drew and Jonathan Scott's clients make some pretty lofty demands. Either the ceiling needs to be for inches higher, they prefer “brushed nickel” (whatever that is), there should be four rooms not three, double stoves, no wall-to-wall carpeting, and the list goes on and on. But apparently, what takes the cake for Drew Scott is when his wallpaper ideas are shot down. Now, hear the man out, as I’m endeavoring to do. He told Architectural Digest:

Property Brother Drew Scott should hear me out, though, when I say that wallpaper is usually cringe. It instantly invokes the 1970s aesthetic that is attributed to grandmothers and usually has a lot of floral going on. I'm sure if that kid from School of Rock were here, he'd say that line, “You're tacky, and I hate you,” concerning any wallpaper ideas, too.

Now, I’m no designer or contractor, just a writer about movies and TV. But maybe, just maybe, a Property Brothers client might like an Avatar-themed room design concept? Harry Potter for a kid’s room, anyone? No?

Well, I'm getting ahead of myself anyways. Because where the Property Brothers are concerned, they know their home renovations. (They have their flagship show and several spinoffs for good reason.) Clients on the show will often complain in the moment, not to mention one or both of the Scott twins will as well, but it still always magically comes together somehow -- as do most of HGTV’s other successful shows.

In their Architectural Digest interview, along with trying out wallpaper, the Property Brothers also suggest a few other crazy notions. Drew Scott says to “limit the number of throw pillows to two to four max.” (This, here, alone would disqualify me again – I need ALL the pillows – but maybe the bros are tired of footing the entire bill, pillows and all, on the show.) They also say to “skip the ceiling fan.” I get the aesthetic reason why, but I'm also wondering if the Property Brothers have lived in the Deep South, where AC units just aren't enough sometimes?

People who enjoy home renovations absolutely adore watching HGTV and the many shows that populate the network. One favorite among many is Home Town, which follows couple Erin and Ben Napier as they renovate houses in their small town of Laurel, Mississippi. The success of the show has turned the Napiers into stars with fans who eagerly follow their personal lives, so it makes complete sense that HGTV would see fit to renew the series for yet another season. Now, Erin Napier has shared how she feels about Home Town Season 6, and of course one of the enthusiastic Property Brothers has responded.

Fans will know that Home Town Season 5 debuted early this year, but the show is so popular that viewers' appetite for new episodes runs very high. This means that once Season 5 ended, they were already wondering when new episodes would be out. Now that we know Home Town will return for Season 6, though, star Erin Napier has opened up about her feelings on the next chapter of the series, taking the news to Instagram:

Awwww! It's pretty clear that Erin Napier is very happy about Home Town (as well as husband Ben's Discovery+ show, Ben's Workshop) returning for new seasons. Even better, both shows are already in production, so it seems like we'll be able to start watching new episodes at some point relatively early in 2022. Home Town Season 5 began airing on January 3 this year, so, hopefully, the new season will be here before we know it. And, it sounds like the Property Brothers' Drew Scott is just as excited as we are, because he commented on the post with an excited "Yey!!!!!" followed by four raised hand emojis.

It's very good to know that Erin and Ben Napier have the support of some of their fellow HGTV / Discovery+ hosts. While there were rumors earlier this year that former (and still beloved) HGTV duo Chip and Joanna Gaines of Fixer Upper fame were feuding with the Napiers, that turned out not to be true at all, and it sounds like, just like many of us home renovation fans, the Property Brothers are also all aboard the Home Town train.

When you think about it, how could other renovation experts like Drew Scott not be fans of Home Town and the work that Ben and Erin Napier do? Not only is everyone typically working in their own corner of the country, but they tend to have different styles and specialties that draw fans to their shows and other work they do, so there really is room for everyone to bring old houses back to life and help people find the perfect home for their needs.

If you're a fan of HGTV, you will probably know that nearly everything that the Property Brothers, Drew and Jonathan Scott, touches turns into home renovation gold. This includes one of their latest series, Celebrity IOU, which became a big hit in its first season, and is now airing Season 2. But, Oscar winner and Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow just revealed that she had to miss her episode of the popular show, and we know why.

Across almost two full seasons, Celebrity IOU has seen a lot of success as Drew and Jonathan Scott have helped celebrities (like an emotional Brad Pitt, a very well dressed Allison Janney, and a thankful Kevin Hart) repay the important people in their lives by fixing up their homes. This week's episode featured Gwyneth Paltrow, as she joined the Property Brothers to help renovate the new townhome her assistant, Kevin Keating, bought recently. But, it turns out that she had to miss her big HGTV debut, and for a reason some of us can probably relate to. Take a look at what Paltrow posted to her Instagram to explain the situation:

Form the looks of the post, which saw Kevin Keating post about the episode and how his boss / friend Gwyneth Paltrow and the Scott brothers were "tresspassing" on his property, there was a very simple reason that kept Paltrow from catching her time doing demo on walls and helping to redesign Keating's newly bought home. It was on too late for her!

When you first think about it, I can imagine that it probably seems silly that Gwyneth Paltrow couldn't stay up to watch Celebrity IOU, which airs at 9 p.m. EST. But, most of her working life has likely been spent as someone who needs to get up very early in the morning. Actors, especially if you're the star of a movie or TV show, frequently have to be on set before dawn for a number of reasons, including getting their hair and makeup done, and getting into wardrobe.

Of course, since 2008, Paltrow has also been running Goop, her wellness and lifestyle brand, which has become the focus of her career more and more. It's probably difficult to run a major company and stay up until all hours of the night, and also get up super early to make sure business gets done every day, so I can certainly see Paltrow making a bee-line for bed nightly well before primetime and when Celebrity IOU is on.

Plus, can't you just see Gwyneth Paltrow having some extensive nighttime ritual involving a fancy face wash, investigating the landscape of her vulva in a mirror, and slipping into some super expensive at-home wear (but maybe not those vagina candles)? That's gonna take time, you guys.

Drew and Jonathan Scott were able to help Gwyneth Paltrow turn Kevin Keating's home into the dream space he's wanted for so long by updating his kitchen, living room, and some spaces upstairs. So, while Paltrow might not have been able to tune in for Celebrity IOU, she certainly did a lovely thing for her assistant.

Hollywood is full of celebrities that have set themselves up as unapproachable to anyone looking to have a good day, though it can thankfully be just as easy to find kind celebrities among the jaded ones. Kevin Hart is one of Hollywood’s most popular comedic actors, on top of being just an all around nice guy. It was no laughing matter when Hart was in a pretty serious accident almost two years ago, though, but he has his trainer to thank for his fairly quick and impressive recovery. Hart, being the great guy he is, gave a huge thank you to his trainer for helping him walk again after the accident, and HGTV’s Property Brothers stars helped in a big way.

Despite Kevin Hart sustaining some pretty serious back injuries in his car accident, he recovered with the quickness and has not only been back to work, but he's even finished a couple of projects since then. His relatively rapid return to healthy model happened thanks to his hard work under the direction of trainer Ron “Boss” Everline, and according to Today, the Borderlands star gifted Everline with a home renovation courtesy of Jonathan and Drew Scott and their Celebrity IOU series.

The span of time following his car accident was very emotional for Kevin Hart, and having someone like Boss to be there with him along that trying journey was very meaningful on an emotional level, as well as on a physical level as his body healed. Over the course of his recovery, Hart posted a number of times about how grateful he's been for his trainer, but words were clearly not quite enough to fully express Hart's appreciation for the man who helped him be able to walk again.

Teaming up with the Property Brothers stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, Kevin Hart transformed Boss’ backhouse into a space the trainer can retreat to in his time off as a man cave of sorts. Celebrity IOU's renovation team will also be replacing the floors in the backhouse, as well as in the kitchen. This renovation is just one of many that the Scott brothers are helping out with as they give celebrities the opportunity to give back to the people in their lives that really deserve it.

Viewers will be able to see Kevin Hart and the home renovation gurus tear up that backhouse in order to transform it into a brand new space, all in a build-up to the big reveal when Hart gifts the renovated space to Boss. The new space will include a "barber shop" that Hart has helped design, which is in honor of how the two men met. If Boss is anything like Hart, the renovation is bound to make for an emotional moment between the two friends.

Kevin Hart’s episode of Celebrity IOU premieres on HGTV on Monday, July 5th at 9:00 p.m. ET. Those without cable will be able to stream the episode same-day on Discovery+.

Property Brothers: Forever Home hosts Drew Scott and Jonathan Scott are known for their home renovation ideas and skills, but those are not their only talents. The two also were bagpipe players back in the day and apparently pretty decent at it. Of course, one of them had to be better than the other, but which of the two was the more proficient player?

It appears the answer may have been revealed in a recent episode, in which the Scott brothers were transforming a room into a sound-dampening area for a musician. The two got on the topic of their early days playing the bagpipes, and in the process, may have revealed who was the better of the two when it came to playing "Amazing Grace" and other popular bagpipe songs. They bickered back and forth:

Based on that brief conversation and Drew Scott's unwillingness to continue the conversation, it would appear that Jonathan Scott was the better of the two brothers. Either that or Drew was just giving his brother the win for the camera, though with Jonathan dating actress Zooey Deschanel, Drew shouldn't have to lie about his brother's bagpipe skills to protect his ego.

One thing to note is that the brothers have spoken about playing bagpipes in their youth in the past on camera, with Jonathan Scott flat-out asserting he was the better player of the two. In that video, Drew was a bit more defensive, and while he didn't dismiss his brother's claims entirely, he also touted his own playing ability:

Unfortunately, neither one played the bagpipes in the latest Property Brothers: Forever Home, so the chances of the question of which brother is better being answered anytime soon are probably slim to none. With that said, perhaps with the ever-growing expansion of streaming, the two will eventually get a spinoff where they get a chance to showcase their musical talents? I'm not sure it would be as big of a winner as some of their HGTV shows, but if Discovery+ can give 90 Day Fiancé an insane amount of spinoffs, surely they can do the world a solid with Drew and Jonathan Scott playing bagpipes in their own streaming series.

Drew and Jonathan Scott have been rocking the home renovation game on a large scale since their first show, Property Brothers, began on HGTV way back in 2011. The intervening years have seen the duo turn that success into several spinoffs, as well as other business opportunities, and their popularity seems to know no bounds. With that, you can probably imagine that they have plenty of other ideas for shows, and now we know that the Scotts will be turning many of those ideas into news series, and they're going to team with Ant Anstead on a couple of surprising new shows.

While Drew and Jonathan Scott are frequently in the news, and for very nice things, Ant Anstead has, relatively recently, found trouble in his personal life takeover headlines. Anstead had appeared on HGTV's Christina on the Coast, but Season 3 of the renovation show is unlikely to include him, with his divorce from designer Christina Haack imminent. Luckily, the Scott brothers have tapped Anstead, who used to host U.K. car show Wheeler Dealers, to help them take their renovation prowess to a much different area. If you guessed that this will involve a variety of automobiles, you'd be right.

Ant Anstead will be using his skills as a master mechanic and car designer to co-host the new Discovery+ series Celebrity IOU Joyride. The show, which is set to debut in the summer of 2021, will follow the format many viewers enjoyed with Drew and Jonathan Scott's Celebrity IOU, and see Anstead join car guru Cristy Lee as they assist a number of famous folk who want to "create automotive masterpieces for special people in their lives." Celebrity IOU Joyride is set to feature Anstead and Lee while they work with Octavia Spencer, James Marsden, Renee Zellweger, Mary J. Blige, Danny Trejo, and Tony Hawk.

As you may have noticed, Celebrity IOU Joyride doesn't appear to involve any on-camera time from either Scott sibling. But, that's not the case for the second project they're launching with Anstead, Drew’s Dream Car with Ant Anstead. This special will, again, use Anstead's mastery at working with cars as he helps Drew Scott by designing and building the car of Scott's dreams. Those dreams are centered on Scott's love of classic sports cars from the 1960s, and lead to a car which "evolves into a true marriage of old and new as it looks to a greener future," with "creative input" from the whole Scott family.

Drew’s Dream Car with Ant Anstead is also debuting on Discovery+ this summer, and will be a two-hour special, while Celebrity IOU Joyride will have a six-episode first season.

Well, who could have guessed that Drew and Jonathan Scott would move into fixing up cars for some of their next shows? It's definitely a surprising option, considering how well they're known for renovating homes and making sure that people have abodes which really fit their lifestyles. But, it's true that people like for their cars to do the same thing, so when it comes to broadening their scope, it does make a certain sense that the Scotts would see if they could help in that respect, as well. And, seeing as how their expertise is with houses, we can understand why they'd pick a top notch car designer like Ant Anstead to help with these new projects.

The Property Brothers’ Mother Can Tell Them Apart Based On Vocabulary

Andrew Alfred Scott and Jonathan Silver Scott were born four minutes apart on April 28, 1978, in Vancouver, Canada, to parents Jim and Joanne Scott, who were actually very surprised to discover they were having twins that day. Apparently, Joanne still has trouble telling her sons apart, especially when talking to either Drew or Jonathan on the phone as their voices are another similarity the siblings share. In a 2012 interview with Glamour, Jonathan explained that his mother is able to tell when he is talking because, apparently, “I use bigger words,” to which Drew jokingly quipped, “I’ve been seeking therapy ever since.”

Drew And Jonathan Scott Started Their Own Business At Seven Years Old

The Property Brothers are two of the busiest media personalities in the world right now, having co-hosted a plethora of different home renovation reality shows over the course of a decade or so, and taking on, at least, 45 home renovation projects each year, meaning it is safe to call them certified workaholics. According to their parents, Drew and Jonathan Scott have been that way since they were children, apparently. Jim Scott recalled on a 2018 segment about the Property Brothers for CBS Sunday Morning that his then-7-year-old sons took his advice to get jobs and started a company called JAM Enterprises, in which they would sell wire hangers covered in silk, and made good money doing it.

Drew And Jonathan Scott Previously Had Acting Careers

While there are many cases of reality show stars eventually branching out into acting later on, Drew and Jonathan Scott actually did that process in reverse. During an appearance on Conan in January 2020, the siblings explained to host Conan O’Brien how they used to be actors and, to avoid becoming “struggling actors,” they decided to get into real estate to be able fund their own productions, which was the first step that led them to pitching the Property Brothers show to HGTV. Some of their early acting credits include The X-Files, the Canadian teen dramedy Breaker High opposite a young Ryan Gosling, and the hit Superman prequel series Smallville, to name a few.

Jonathan Scott Aspired To Be A Magician Growing Up

While acting was certainly a fun way for the Property Brothers to make a living when they were younger, a career in show business as a magician was Jonathan Scott’s own real dream, and one he had since childhood. According to ScreenRant, he would begin to pursue the art form in his teens, building his own equipment to perform illusions by the age of 15, before receiving a mentorship and winning awards for his act, which he presented under the stage name Jonathan Silver. Unfortunately, that dream would suffer a crushing blow when Jonathan was 19 and a con man stole his illusions, putting him in a heap of debt.

The Property Brothers Have A Top 40 Hit Country Song

Luckily, both Jonathan and Drew Scott are men of multiple talents, which is clear from the success that Jonathan’s skills in carpentry and Drew’s knack for the business of realty have brought them on Property Brothers. However, the talent I am specifically referring to here is one that Jonathan shares with his girlfriend, Zooey Deschanel: musicianship, which is something about the siblings that few people know. This is despite the fact that they have sung a few of their own song songs on their TV specials before, including an ode to their childhood home called “Hold On.” Said track, which they co-wrote with the help of Nashville songwriters Victoria Shaw and Chad Carlson, would become a hit on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart at #38 in 2016.

Drew And Jonathan Scott Wrote A Children’s Book And Have Launched A Magazine

If their respective abilities in acting, singing, magic, and flipping houses (to name a few) are not enough to impress you, the Property Brothers are also published authors. As of 2018, Drew and Jonathan Scott have written three books related to the topic of home improvement - the most recent being an illustrated book for children called Builder Brothers: Big Plans. In early 2020, in response to their fans requesting different ways that they could offers their own expertise in renovation outside of their many HGTV shows, the siblings would take things up a notch by debuting their own magazine, called Reveal, which was announced along with the start of a new podcast hosted by Drew and his wife, Linda Pham, and even a mobile app which helps people design their own dream home as if the Property Brothers were there with them.

If you only watch the home renovation shows which populate HGTV on occasion or on a cursory basis, you may have trouble telling some of the series apart. Each one generally follows a renovation / design expert duo who take a home from drab to fab in a matter of weeks or months, so that the owners can enjoy a space which better fits their lifestyle and features wonderful updates which will have any viewers scrambling to see if they can make some of that open floor plan, marble countertop luxury their own. But, there is one big way that the finished homes on Property Brothers are very different from those on shows like Fixer Upper.

Drew and Jonathan Scott began their HGTV success with Property Brothers in 2011, and have gone on to spearhead a number of spinoffs where they continue to bring homeowners fabulously redesigned houses. Fans are hearing more and more about how things behind the scenes on shows like Property Brothers, Home Town, Fixer to Fabulous, and Fixer Upper might not always be as they appear while watching finished episodes, but one thing that audiences continue to wonder about is whether or not the owners get to keep all of the amazing furniture you see in the completed homes.

In a move which is very different from what happened on Chip and Joanna Gaines' Fixer Upper, Drew Scott confirmed on Twitter, in response to a fan question, that all of those new items are in place for the homeowners to keep:

I mean, if you were currently trying to decide which show to apply for so that you could be featured on HGTV and have your home completely reworked by a famous duo, I could certainly see this bit of information being the deciding factor. Apparently, at least two of the Scott brothers shows, Property Brothers and Brother Vs. Brother, let owners keep everything.

For those who are somewhat in the dark on what, exactly, is going on here, know that the process of updating homes on shows like Fixer Upper or Property Brothers isn't just about putting up new cabinets and ripping out a few walls, even though we also know now that sometimes HGTV foots some of the bill to help these renovations along a bit. One of the best parts of these shows is watching just how Drew and Jonathan Scott, Chip and Joanna Gaines, and other duos, transform living spaces by adding new furniture as well as new fixtures to homes.

Every dramatic reveal shows off fully furnished homes, and those items are never the ones which belonged to the owners at the beginning of the process. All of these items are known as "staging" meant to help the owners see potential in their new(ish) house, and, usually, the renovation does not include payment for these pieces. A recent Pure Wow story confirmed that, on Fixer Upper, the homeowners were only able to keep all that new furniture if they paid for it, with Chip and Joanna sometimes gifting a refurbished or personal piece to the owner, and production paying for one new furniture item to stay.

Other series on HGTV work in a similar manner, with Home Town's Erin Napier confirming on Instagram a few years ago that homeowner renovation budgets don't usually allow for she and her husband, Ben, to completely furnish homes. Though he does often build at least one special piece which is given to them, and they're offered special discounted prices if they want to keep any of the remaining new items. And, according to their Pure Wow interview earlier this year, this process is pretty much the same for those who have Jenny and Dave Marrs renovate their property on Fixer to Fabulous.

As much as I love watching all of these people renovate homes, honestly, I think Jonathan and Drew Scott really win when it comes to completely furnishing the houses. Who wants to have most of your home updated only to have to bring back the ratty couch your pet partially chewed up or the dining table which is missing one leg and has a big stick you found in the woods duct taped to it to make sure it still stands?

Welcome to April, a month that boast showers, Easter (for those who celebrate) and, of course, National Sibling and National Look-Alike Day. The famous Property Brothers stars actually get to celebrate both in April, and this year they shared a post to celebrate the holiday, with Jonathan Scott joking about how he and Drew are often “told [they] look alike.” Of course they do, and even their mother had to come to a unique way of telling the two apart.

The two Property Brothers stars aren’t just regular siblings, course. They are actually twins of the identical variety, so National Look-Alike Day really is the holiday for them. In fact, Jonathan is the older twin by four minutes and they’ve actually been open in the past about their mother not realizing she was having twins until the second baby, Drew, popped right out. So, with all that in mind, of course Jonathan’s comment about the two looking alike is pretty amusing, though having different facial hair these days I'm sure certainly helps.

Through much of their lives, it’s been difficult for some to tell the two twins apart (I'm sure that's been particularly true during the times they lived together). Luckily, there is a hint for those who are really paying attention while watching the two brothers’ HGTV series.

Speaking to Glamour some time ago, Jonathan and Drew admitted that the key to telling them apart, particularly over the phone, is by their vocabulary. Much to Drew’s chagrin, apparently it’s Jonathan who comes off as more educated or at least exacting over the phone:

If ever you are in a situation where both brothers are sporting similar facial hair and neither of them has a significant other on their arms -- Jonathan Scott currently dates Zooey Deschanel and Drew Scott is married to Linda Pham -- there is one other way to tell them apart. And speaking of those significant others, I wonder if their personalities and vocabulary are enough for their significant others to totally tell them apart? Zooey Deschanel has been making headlines recently. Not because she has a brand new TV project in the works, but because she fulfilled the dreams of many an HGTV fan who has been excited about the prospect of the New Girl actress dating a Property Brother--in this case Jonathan Scott. She recently joined Jonathan and brother Drew Scott’s crew to help out with a renovation on Celebrity IOU, and HGTV had a great response.

In the clip -- which you may already be familiar with if you caught the episode-- Zooey Deschanel reveals that “demo” is probably not her thing, but she felt like it was good to help as she was the one spearheading the Celebrity IOU project. She later gets some help from the Property Brother, who jokes, “That’s the most romantic thing we’ve ever done.” Meanwhile, HGTV shared the clip with fans online and even had a fun comment tying into her TV career as caught by Comments By Celebs.

Zooey Deschanel hasn’t been in the spotlight a ton since New Girl ended in 2018, which made the curiosity factor around her Celebrity IOU episode all the more heightened. The actress did do some voice work for Trolls World Tour, which came out earlier during the pandemic. She also appeared in a Katy Perry video, but mostly she seems to be spending plenty of time with Jonathan Scott; the two even reportedly quarantined together earlier this year.

In addition, the two have been dating since 2019 and actually have a really fun meet-cute story as well. Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott both appeared on James Corden’s popular “Carpool Karaoke,” where they met and hit it off shortly after Deschanel’s split from her ex-husband Jacob Pechenik. The two became Instagram official in October of 2019 and the rest is, well, becoming TV history.

While there doesn’t seem to be an engagement on the horizon yet, Jonathan Scott has had some pretty nice things to say about his partner, including but not limited to, “Once in a lifetime you meet someone who changes everything.” Scott has not been previously married, though Zooey Deschanel was married twice, once to Death Cab For Cutie’s Ben Gibbard. Additionally, her marriage to Jacob Pechenil resulted in two children, Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf.

Meanwhile, Celebrity IOU kicked off for Jonathan and Drew Scott, debuting earlier in 2020 with a season featuring some high-profile names, including Melissa McCarthy and Brad Pitt, who brought with him some Legends of the Fall stories. It was such a success that HGTV brought the show back for Round 2 and this time around Zooey Deschanel decided to get involved.

Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott have already changed up their television presence with their recent hit series Celebrity IOU, but a recent twist in the concept made it all that much deeper. The two welcomed Jonathan's famous girlfriend Zooey Deschanel on the program, as she played the celebrity ready to lend a hand to a friend in need.

It was an unprecedented episode of Celebrity IOU, as never before had the brothers welcomed a celebrity with quite that level of connection to their family. It also changed the dynamic of the episode, as Drew Scott explained how he felt tagging along with his brother and girlfriend on an episode of their shared series:

Drew Scott played the third wheel in the Celebrity IOU episode, but it's fair to say it was a long time coming considering Jonathan Scott was a third-wheel to Drew and his wife Linda until he got together with Zooey Deschanel. Drew told People that having celebrities on the program is typically interesting because they get to see a side of a celebrity they wouldn't typically see and that it was interesting with the added dimension that he already knew Deschanel.

Jonathan Scott has been dating Zooey Deschanel for a little over a year after the two first met while filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke. The two have had a well-documented romance ever since. For now, the two are happy together, and just seem to be enjoying the year that they've spent as a couple.

Jonathan Scott was married before to a woman named Kelsy Ully, but the two divorced in 2013. The divorce led to a legal dispute between the two, which dragged on for years to the point that the fallout of the marriage outlasted the time they were married. As for Zooey Deschanel, she divorced from Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard in 2012, and her second husband Jacob Pechenik filed for divorce not long after Deschanel and Scott went public with their relationship. Pechenik and Deschanel finalized their divorce back in June of 2020.

To get back to the episode, Zooey Deschanel's appearance on Celebrity IOU was so the actress could reward her best friend with a new renovation. Though the actress didn't necessarily like the noise and work associated with renovating a home, she did enjoy doing something for her friend who was studying to be a therapist.

The Property Brothers are no strangers to changing lives through home renovation, but it looks like the act of doing so had quite the affect on their celebrity guest. Celebrity IOU had Brad Pitt on the show, and the actor helped a dear friend with a home renovation in what was a supremely emotional episode.

Brad Pitt appeared on Celebrity IOU to help out his longtime makeup artist Jean Black. Check out a brief clip from the episode, and Pitt getting down and dirty with The Property Brothers in order to make a great thing happen for Black.

For those that missed the premiere of Celebrity IOU, this was not a complete home renovation. Pitt's makeup artist had a detached garage in desperate need of a makeover, and the boys wanted to change it to something special. With the help of Drew and Jonathan Scott, Brad Pitt got to work knocking down walls and helped convert the space into a guest house in a relatively short time. The episode showed Pitt working right alongside the brothers, which shows that the A-lister was not above getting his hands dirty for a good cause.

As is often the case on HGTV renovation shows, the end result was astounding. Brad Pitt and The Property Brothers showed Celebrity IOU is about more than star-power with this renovation. What was once a run of the mill garage has been transformed into a living space that most any home owner would love to see added on to their own space!

In the episode, Brad Pitt described his relationship with makeup artist Jean Black as "like family." The two have been working together for decades, and she's provided the makeup for his roles in several iconic films over the course of his career. This included putting makeup on his butt for the 1994 movie Legends of the Fall, which Pitt mentioned in the episode. Hey, when someone's doing makeup in places like that, the least you can do is give them a partial home renovation!

Brad Pitt's act of kindness isn't unique on this new series, as Celebrity IOU will feature many celebrities helping out the heroes of their lives. Other celebrities slated to appear include Viola Davis, Melissa McCarthy, Jeremy Renner, Michael Bublé, and Rebel Wilson. As previously mentioned, each celebrity is paired with The Property Brothers stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, who likely make sure these celebrities aren't just wildly swinging a hammer in an effort to help those closest to them in life.

A new fall TV season means a lot of different things for a lot of different people, but for everybody out there who has been dying to see former Malcolm and the Middle star Frankie Muniz or '80s pop queen Debbie Gibson doing the Charleston, fall TV means a new season of Dancing with the Stars. The full line-up of stars and pros for Season 25 was revealed this morning, and we've got the usual suspects of TV stars, musicians, athletes and more. Check out the rundown below, and then let's talk about some of these standout additions to Dancing with the Stars.

Now that is a crazy diverse lineup, at least as far as the stars' professional backgrounds are concerned. To start off, it should be fun to see ol' Frankie Muniz hit the dance floor with Witney Carson, who's been a Dancing with the Stars pro for seven seasons now. This probably won't be how fans end up getting a Malcolm in the Middle reunion, but it would be beyond fabulous to see Bryan Cranston making an appearance for the TV-theme performances. (Or any of the other cast members, really.)

As far as other TV personalities go, we've got Shark Tank mastermind Barbara Corcoran, who will have to use her feet more than her business savvy to stay ahead on this show. There's HGTV star Drew Scott, of Property Brothers fame, who will have to show partner Emma Slater that he's as good on the dance floor as he is doing home renovations. And then there's actress Sasha Pieterse, who will follow up the series finale of Pretty Little Liars with some pretty little dance moves.

Serving as a perfect segue from TV to music, we have former pop star and occasional reality TV star Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa Lachey, who has gotten more into scripted roles after years of being more known for TV hosting gigs. (Interestingly, this married couple will be competing with Dancing with the Stars' famed married couple Peta and Maks!) Then there's the aforementioned Debbie Gibson, whose music was all over the 1980s; Gibson also has some notable TV work in recent years, perhaps most memorably opposite fellow pop star Tiffany in one of Syfy's ridiculous creature features. Hamilton vet and singer Jordan Fisher, also known for his work on Teen Wolf and the Teen Beach Movie films, will be taking the stage with Lindsay Arnold, while violinist and dancer Lindsey Stirling will try to impress opposite Mark Ballas.

To wrap up this full rundown, which was first revealed on Good Morning America, we've got athletes! It'll be crazy cool to see paralympian swimmer and ESPN sportscaster Victoria Arlen, who miraculously survived two super rare medical conditions that paralyzed her for years, only to later regain all of her abilities, and it was just in 2016 when she was able to walk again after over a decade. Then there's WWE Diva and reality show fave Nikki Bella, who will likely look as good with Artem Chigvintsev as she does with her future husband John Cena. In the former sports stars category, we have former NBA star Derek Fisher and the always outspoken former NFL star Terrell Owens. (The latter will be with Cheryl Burke, who is returning after missing last season.)

While we won't get to see Mr. T return to try and avenge last year's elimination, Dancing with the Stars Season 25 will kick off on ABC on Monday, September 18, at 8:00 p.m. ET. To see everything else hitting the small screen soon, head to our fall premiere schedule.

Through the 1990s and 2000s, television gave rise to the celebrity chef, and in recent years, a similar spotlight has been shining on those in the realty and home renovation world. HGTV has made household names out Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop's stars, as well as Drew and Jonathan Scott, the twins that front Property Brothers and its various incarnations. Even though the siblings often play up their rivalry, they're great friends and they actually live together, strange as it may be. Here's why that living situation works, according to Drew's fiancée Linda Phan.

I can definitely see why fans would raise a questioning eyebrow upon catching wind of Drew and Jonathan Scott's living situation. Lots of people spend their youths wanting nothing more than to live in a different place than any of their family members, so making the choice to keep house with a brother, not to mention one that's also a co-worker, is a choice that millions of people would immediately turn down. But even though Drew and Jonathan have put each other through some embarrassing dares and situations in the Brother vs. Brother series and its various spinoffs, it's all in good fun and isn't enough for the brothers to want to build additional walls between one another.

It's a living situation that has been going for a while, according to the brothers' People interview, and one that continued even after Linda Phan, who is also a creative director for the siblings' production company Scott Entertainment, moved in back in 2012. What's more, Jonathan also has a girlfriend that lives in the house, Jacinta Kuznetsov, who is a development producer for Scott Entertainment. Definitely seems like there would be some uncomfortableness happening, but all involved are apparently pleased with the way things have gone, and anything that makes a work day easier is a win in my book. Still though, it has to feel like captivity at some point, right?

A change is coming, though, as Drew and Linda recently brought a house in Los Angeles that they'll presumably be living in when the brothers' many different series aren't in production. (Jonathan and Jacinta live in Toronto.) The duo do still own a house in Las Vegas together that they also frequent, and it's entirely possible that one of both of the couples will be trying to add to the population. So it's only a matter of time before we see Property Brothers: The Ultimate Nursery or Daycare Demolition or something like that.

If working with an ex while going through a divorce is something that Flip or Flop's Tarek and Christina El-Moussa can do without everything going up in flames, living with a family member doesn't seem all that tough. One has to wonder if Drew and Jonathan building their respective families will put a strain on their many projects, leading to further spinoffs with different sets of sassy twin siblings. We all know HGTV adores spinoffs.

Season 6 of Property Brothers wrapped up just two weeks ago, but we can definitely expect to see more from Drew and Jonathan Scott in the near future. (And we can also read about it, as the brothers are currently penning a memoir that's set to be released in September.)
