The latest chapter in Denise Richards’ ongoing divorce drama is not one that I would have seen coming, and technically isn’t so directly involved with her marital split from Aaron Phypers, though it no doubt came up during conversations. Amidst a month that saw Richards’ restraining order filing get a response from Phypers that included child endangerment allegations, it appears as if the financially successful OnlyFans model is heading back to her former TV stomping grounds at Bravo for the latest season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In what will presumably be her latest return to the franchise, Richards was seen filming scenes for at least one future Real Housewives episode during a Saturday night out in Los Angeles on August 2, per TMZ. Specifically passersby clocked her, Sutton Stracke and her past cast rival Erika Jayne having drinks at the Mexican restaurant Madre, and witnessed her making a noteworthy arrival for the cameras.

The outlet notes their source claims the three women did indeed get into discussions about Richards’ reportedly ‘toxic’ relationship with, divorce from, Phypers, though further details were not disclosed. It can be assumed that this marks Richards’ only appearance during the season, but that element also remains unclear, as her split may be the kind of game-changing life event that sparks her to jump back into reality TV with both feet. But if nothing else, it sounds like fans will get to watch at least one dishy, tea-spilling convo between the series alum and its current stars.

Richards’ most recent unscripted project, Bravo’s Denise & Her Wild Things, was confirmed in July to not be returning to Bravo, and that it was only ever intended to enjoy a one-season limited run. At the time, it was noted that the former Bond girl could indeed make a return to Real Housewives, and less than a month later, that news was locked in as fact. Richards previously served as a guest star in Season 5, came back as a series regular in Season 10, and then popped back in as a guest star in Season 13.

Fans Are (Mostly) Pumped To See Denise Richards Returning To RHOBH

To be expected, the Real Housewives fandom was not exactly in full agreement that Richards' franchise future is a good thing, but there were more than enough positive reactions to counteract all of the negativity. Or at least most of the general negativity. This simple-but-says-it-all post serves as a fine example.

Of course, that's entirely too much brevity for some Real Housewives fans, and others had a bit more to say in terms of celebrating the news on X amidst other behind-the-scenes updates for the upcoming season.

Those who may not have watched Denise & Her Wild Things were shocked to see Richards and Erika Jayne in close quarters without tempers flaring destructively. Here are a few of those reactions:

While it'll welcome Richards back in some way, Season 15 will be missing Garcelle Beauvais, who announced her exit back in March 2025. Helping to fill that void will be fashion designer Rachel Zoe, who headed up her own reality series, The Rachel Zoe Project, which ran for five seasons from 2008-2013. Other casting changes, as well as clarifying updates on Denise Richards’ role in the new season, will hopefully go public in the near future.

It’s unclear when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 15 will hit the 2025 TV schedule, but stay tuned.

Since its inception, the Real Housewives franchise has grown into a massive one, including some of the best reality shows ever. That includes The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is streaming in its entirety with a Peacock subscription. Erika Jayne has been on that show for a long time, and has had some very public struggles including her ongoing divorce from Tom Girardi. But why hasn't it happened after years? The latest update indicates it might get dropped altogether, let's break it down.

Erika Jayne filed for divorce back in 2020 after over two decades of marriage, but the proceedings have been denied a number of times. Us Weekly reports that a hearing on the case happened June 26th, but no representative from Girardi showed. What's more, the outlet claims that the trial is at risk of being thrown out... possibly due to his dementia and declining mental capabilities.

Back when he was in better health, Girardi claimed that she knew about the legal issues coming before she left him. This question was a big plot point on RHOBH, as was Jayne's fight to keep expensive gifts like diamond earrings.

The "Pretty Mess" singer has been in hot water in recent years, as her husband was accused of misappropriate funds from his legal clients. While Jayne went full villain in Season 12 as she defended herself and separated from Girardi, a number of the charges against her specifically have been dropped. Although now it seems like her divorce might not actually happen as planned.

Girardi's dementia has resulted him in a memory care facility, as well as the subject of a conservatorship. If Us Weekly's sources are to be believed, then that might result in the divorce case being tossed out when the teams reconvene on August 1st.

One of Jayne's lawyers previously put doubt into the idea of the divorce actually going through while Girardi's mental health is suffering. Jim Wilkes spoke to The Sun (via Us Weekly), and was quoted saying:

Of course, it remains to be seen what the judge presiding over the case will say when they reconvene in August. But if even Erika Jayne's own lawyers are doubtful, perhaps we won't see the divorce actually come to fruition. In fact, Wilkes claimed that it might have to wait until Tom Girardi passes away.

The Bravosphere is definitely paying attention to this ongoing case, and are curious to see if it factors into the plot of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when it returns for Season 15. After a few years in the hot seat Erika Jayne was able to have a bit of a comeback last year, but I have to assume that whatever divorce updates happen will be addressed.

The Real Housewives franchise has become a behemoth force in the entertainment industry, with a number of cities airing new episodes on Bravo (and streaming with a Peacock subscription). One of the shows that's currently putting out new episodes is The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which has a pretty good season thus far. And Bravo boss Andy Cohen recently weighed in on Denise Richards and Erika Jayne's beef on the show.

Back in December Denise Richards returned to RHOBH and went viral for her behavior at Kyle's weed-infused dinner party. During that event she confronted Erika Jayne about thinks that happened years ago, and that fight continued in one of the most recent episodes, with the "Expensive To Be Me" singer going HAM and bringing Richards' OnlyFans. Cohen was asked by Life and Style about that conflict, and if he took someone's side. He responded, offering:

There you have it. It's probably in Andy Cohen's best to not take sides during Housewives fights, especially since alliances and friendship are always changing. But that confrontation between Erika and Denise was pretty brutal, with the latter looking dumbfounded by Jayne's response.

While Erika Jayne made headlines for her legal issues, that's mostly in the rear view during this season of RHOBH. She seems lighter in Season 13, but that changed once Denise Richards started a fight with her in front of the other women. While she gave her grace the first time, Round 2 was a brawl.

That second fight happened a few episodes ago, during Taco Tuesday at RHOBH cast member Crystal's house. Denise once again tried to bring Erika to task over a conflict from years ago, and Jayne doesn't respond well. She not only brings up Denise OnlyFans, but also the fact that Richards' daughter is also on OF. That argument lasted two episodes, and quickly went viral.

While Andy Cohen doesn't take sides, he did weigh in on how Denise's conversation with Erika ultimately went. As he put it:

Fair point. While Denise Richards started the fight, Erika Jayne was the clear winner of their verbal scuffle. While some fans took umbrage with Erika bringing Denise's daughter into it, the clip itself has definitely circulated online. We'll just have to wait and see if the former Bond Girl makes any more appearances on the reality TV series.

The return of Denise Richards to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has been dramatic so far, to say the least, and Wednesday night's spat with co-star Erika Jayne over OnlyFans was no exception. 

Following Richards' erratic antics during last week's episode on the 2023 TV schedule — during which the Wild Things actress accused Erika of treating her badly while she was on the show but wasn't able to bring up specifics of such behavior — Jayne called Denise out for the tirade on Wednesday's episode. During the episode, which you can stream with a Peacock subscription, the reality star told Richards: 

However, when Denise started bringing up old grievances against her co-star —including that time back in Season 10 when Jayne discussed threesomes in earshot of Denise's teenage daughters Sami Sheen and Lola Rose Sheen — Jayne went for the jugular, bringing up Richards' children. 

When Richards criticized that it had been inappropriate for Jayne to have such a sex-focused conversation in front of her children, Erika cited Sami Sheen's chosen profession as an OnlyFans star as proof that they already "know about sex."

OnlyFans, of course, is an online subscription service used by content creators like musicians, fitness experts and, most predominantly, sex workers who produce pornography. Richards' now-19-year-old daughter Sami falls into the latter camp, publicly joining the service in June 2022, much to the chagrin of her famous father, Charlie Sheen. 

One week after Sami joined OnlyFans, her actress mother followed suit in solidarity and support of her daughter. Richards told Page Six about Sami's OnlyFans gig:

Erika called out Denise for being on the NSFW platform alongside her daughter, quipping during this week's episode:

Needless to say, Richards was not pleased with the line of inquiry and called Jayne's question a "f---ing low blow."

But Erika wasn't backing down as she said: 

The brutal back-and-forth went on until a "To Be Continued" marker ended the episode, promising that their vicious argument will continue into next week's edition. 

Richards first popped up in the Bravo franchise as a guest in Season 5 before officially joining the cast of RHOBH for Seasons 9 and 10, reportedly as a way to pay off the legal bills accrued in her divorce from Charlie Sheen, whom she was married to from 2002 to 2006. 

The actress left the Housewives franchise in 2020 following threesome drama with another co-star, Brandi Glanville. However, she announced that she would be returning to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 13 in a guest capacity. 

After these back-to-back blowouts with Erika Jayne, though, we have to wonder if Richards won't soon be parting with the series for good.

During her years on Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne was often shown flaunting her wealth, even releasing a single “It’s Expensive to Be Me.” But she ended up separating from her husband Tom Girardi shortly before he was accused off fraud. Fans have followed Erika’s legal battle for the past few seasons, and recently opened up to People about where things stand with Tom. As she put it,

Well, there you have it. It looks like there aren’t any plans for Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi to get officially divorced. Although given how many legal battles they’re both embroiled in due to the fraud allegations, it makes sense that this wouldn’t be at the top of their priorities. Still, she insists that she hasn’t seen him at all since walking out years ago.

Jayne spoke to People while celebrating the opening of her Las Vegas Residency. Obviously the conversation turned to the Real Housewives, as well as her ex-husband of 21 years. The situation are still playing out in court, while Erika Jayne is going into her third season of RHOBH since things went down.

Erika Jayne has been facing legal issues related to her marriage to Tom Girardi, specifically where the money that funded her lifestyle and career came from. Jayne maintained she knew nothing about the inner workings of the law firm Girardi & Keese, or the financial planning of her ex. Still, her name has been brought into a number of cases by the victims who were reportedly scammed out of their settlement money.

The RHOBH icon has been fighting to prove that she didn’t know about what was happening at Girardi & Geese, while also hoping to keep on to certain very expensive gifts from Tom Girardi. That includes Erika Jayne’s diamond earrings, which were a plot point on the show. But she’s maintained her spot as a Housewife, while also returning to music with her new Las Vegas show.

Amid all of the legal trouble that continues to plague Erika Jayne amid the $500 million embezzlement case involving ex-husband Tom Girardi, the focus seems to keep going back to a pair of pricey earrings the former attorney gifted her. The $750,000 earrings, which were reportedly later appraised at $1.4 million, were among the items to be auctioned off to help pay off some of what the couple owe. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star fought hard to keep the jewelry, ultimately losing that battle in court, and now there’s another twist regarding the earrings, as they are set to be sold to the highest bidder.

In October Erika Jayne still insisted the earrings were not up for auction, as she continued to appeal the judge’s ruling in an effort to keep them. However, TMZ reports that not only are the earrings on the auction block, they’re actually valued at a price far below what Tom Girardi reportedly paid for them. Rather than the $750,000 that was supposedly spent on the earrings, they’ve been valued at between $250,000 and $350,000.

While that is just the starting range for the earrings — and auctioned items are typically valued at less than retail price — it’s still a huge decrease from what was originally paid for the jewelry. 

Erika Jayne has continued to fight to maintain possession of the earrings, which Tom Girardi supposedly purchased for $750,000 with stolen money. She has maintained her innocence regarding knowledge of Girardi’s illegal actions, and in June said she would not hand over the expensive gift unless ordered to do so by a judge. 

Later that month, a judge did just that, saying that while he believed Erika Jayne didn’t know that Tom Girardi had purchased the earrings using money meant for the victims of a diabetes drug settlement, she was “still in possession of stolen property,” and was ordered to forfeit the diamonds.

The earrings are set to be auctioned off on December 7 by John Moran Auctioneers, following the sales of a number of other items previously owned by the former couple. Among the belongings that apparently were sold September 21 were an estimated $60,000-worth Steinway piano, some rare paintings and their library collection of first editions (such as a first edition of Niccolò Machiavelli's The Prince). Apparently there was also some lingerie that was sold that Erika Jayne didn’t recognize.

A so-called “friend” of Tom Girardi’s also relinquished gifts she’d received from the disgraced former attorney, which included a Tiffany diamond necklace and a Bulgari necklace adorned with pearls and diamonds. 

It will be interesting to see if the auction goes off as expected on December 7, or if Erika Jayne is able to prolong the process through appeals. If the earrings are sold, it looks like it’s possible somebody might get a real discount on a very famous piece of jewelry.

The legal battles continue for those associated with disgraced former attorney Tom Girardi, who has been sued for millions of dollars over the past couple of years for misappropriation of funds. The Los Angeles Times reported on November 10 that Christopher Kamon, the former CFO of Girardi’s law firm, was arrested on charges of allegedly embezzling $10 million, which prosecutors say he spent on real estate and showering an escort with thousands of dollars in gifts. Erika Jayne, who filed for divorce from Girardi in 2020 and has faced her own share of multimillion-dollar lawsuits, certainly seemed to have an opinion on the latest legal moves.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has maintained her innocence regarding her knowledge of Tom Girardi’s activity since they were initially accused of embezzling $2 million in funds intended to help the families of the victims of the Lion Air Flight 610 plane crash, which killed 189 people in 2018. She responded to the prosecutor’s findings on Friday by sharing the LA Times article on Twitter.

She proceeded to like a number of comments and posts from others on social media, who pointed toward her innocence about the goings-on of the now-defunct Giardi & Keese law firm. Among the posts that Erika Jayne hit the heart for were:

However, many people pointed out that allegations against Christopher Kamon don’t exonerate the Bravo reality star, with one Twitter user saying it could just mean there’s more than one guilty party:

There’s also a $5 million civil suit, for which the TV personality has said she’s being extorted. Plus, she got slapped with a $50 million class action suit in July of this year on the way back from a Hawaiian vacation.

Over the past year, Erika Jayne’s legal woes have been well documented. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has mainly been wrapped up in an embezzlement case involving her ex-husband, Tom Girardi. Due to the numerous claims Girardi was facing, he was forced to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2020. With that, it was eventually determined that the couple’s former home and other expensive items would need to be auctioned off to pay creditors. Amid these items was a pricey pair of diamond earrings, which Jayne seemingly refused to hand over at the time. This led to a court battle that proved unsuccessful for the reality TV star and, at present, it’s rumored that the jewelry is up for auction. Amid the reports, Jayne weighed in with some thoughts.

Erika Jayne received some bad news this past June, as she attempted to keep the earrings that her former husband gifted her, which are valued at $750,000. A judge determined that Jayne didn’t know for sure that her ex had paid for the expensive accessories through illegal means. However, her knowledge or lack thereof was deemed inconsequential, as she was “still in possession of stolen property.” Jayne’s lawyer, Evan Borges, released a statement shortly after the ruling came down, saying that his client “did nothing wrong” and that she was “facing consequences for past actions taken by Tom Girardi and Girardi Keese.” 

Though a decision has been delivered, many are still curious as to what will happen with the pricey trinkets. Us Weekly caught up with the Real Housewives star herself during BravoCon, where the news outlet asked if her precious stones will be auctioned off. The 51-year-old star responded with some brief thoughts: 

So according to Erika Jayne, the earrings aren’t on the market just yet, meaning there may still be a chance that she can retain them. All the while, others have been relinquishing gifts from Tom Girardi. An unnamed “friend” of Girardi’s allegedly returned a large sum of jewelry, which included a diamond necklace from Tiffany and a Bulgari necklace decked out in pearls and diamonds.

While it’s hard to say for sure just what might end up happening with the Bravo star’s accessories, it’s clear that they’ve been drawing quite a bit of interest. Just this week, Stephen Swan of John Moran Auctioneers spoke with Page Six and discussed the appeal of the jewelry and how the company is approaching the potential bidding process:

One can’t help but wonder how Erika Jayne (who was also hit with a lawsuit from Nicolas Cage’s ex this year) and her legal team are seeking to maintain possession of the earrings. But based on her recent comments, she seems somewhat optimistic. And if she does get to keep them, such a development would signify a massive win for her amid the onslaught of legal setbacks she’s faced over the past year.

Her marriage to Tom Girardi fell apart after he was disbarred and charged over embezzling hundreds of millions of dollars from a slew of clients over the years. She filed for divorce and later shared her feelings, but in the time subsequent she’s had to face charges she might have been complicit. In addition, has had to return jewelry she’d been given by her ex and more. She’s not the only one either, as a “friend” of Tom Girardi’s is also relinquishing expensive items he gifted her. 

Last month, this so-called "friend" had remitted a slew of items directly connected to Tom Girardi’s ongoing legal issues. She returned a bunch of jewelry including a diamond necklace from Tiffany with a heart-shape, a Cartier pave diamond and gold necklace, a Bulgari necklace with pearls and diamonds, and some expensive stud earrings. 

The brands alone would seemingly indicate the items were pricey, but just in case there's any question at auction they are allegedly expected to bring in $15,000. The stickiest part of the whole thing, however, is that the jewelry was bought by Girardi for Tricia A. Bigelow, a woman with whom he allegedly had an affair, and a previous report over at the LA Times indicates the former lawyer may have used $300,000 in stolen funds to buy a beach condo as well. (The woman, a retired California appellate justice, reportedly returned the items of her own accord.)

Erika Jayne was alleged to have responded to finding out the news with a “fuck me” also saying “no way” when she was confronted with the $300,000 purchase.

Now, this week the alleged “friend” of Tom Girardi was “rushed back” to court, per Radar Online. The outlet notes the woman in question allegedly “found some additional pieces of jewelry in the back of her closet.” The three additional items were all from Cartier and include a watch, a bracelet and a necklace. They could garner an additional $9,500 that would go to the victims of the embezzlement scheme. 

The news comes after Erika Jayne herself was asked to return a pair of earrings Girardi had given her. The purchase of the earrings was traced and it was confirmed her ex had used money from his Ponzi scheme-like antics in order to buy the earrings for her. Jayne’s earrings were appraised at $1.4 million at the time, and her lack of wanting to hand them over led her to more legal trouble. 

Jon Hamm, a noted Housewives fan, even recently shared his own viral thoughts on the earrings matter, telling Howard Stern:

Eventually, she was deemed “civilly liable” due to not handing over the earrings. Her conduct was also said to be a “crime” by the trustee involved with the case and a judge ultimately ordered her to yield the pricey items.

There have been numerous other Girardi-bought items auctioned off for hundreds of thousands of dollars. This includes items like furniture and a Steinway piano, and even a poster signed by Julia Roberts from the movie Erin Brokovich. 

Jayne is also dealing with lawsuits, including a recent one in which she was served at an airport with a stack of papers alleging the RHOBH star was aware of her then-husband’s alleged actions. She has been accused of “racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, unlawful business practice and deceit.” She is also involved in other suits related to Tom Girardi and the money he owes clients, including one suit brought by Nic Cage's ex. 

It's a situation where real-life legal issues have sometimes played out on our TV screens. In fact, a lot of the events and Erika Jayne's feelings related to them played out during episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and can be viewed with a Peacock subscription. You know, just in case you want to be a noted Housewives fan like Jon Hamm. 

Jennifer Lawrence has never had a problem telling it like it is. Whether she’s making jokes about the legend Meryl Streep or commenting on Ben Affleck and JLo’s reunion, fans can always count on getting the actress’ authentic thoughts on whatever it is she’s discussing. She’s got that trait in common with plenty of reality stars, as well, so when she sounded off recently against The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and particularly Erika Jayne, such comments did not go unnoticed. The reality star fired back some honest thoughts of her own, though, after The Hunger Games actress called her “evil.”

Erika Jayne appeared on Watch What Happens Live, where host Andy Cohen asked what she thought about RHOBH superfan Jennifer Lawrence’s comments, including the suggestion that she needed a publicist. The TV personality didn’t miss a beat, offering the following opinion about J-Law’s assessment:  

OK, Erika Jayne! She looked fully serious, too, putting the offer out there for the Academy Award-winner to “come on down and mix it up.” I wish I could see Jennifer Lawrence’s reaction upon learning of and/or watching the clip. 

It’s not that the RHOBH standout is wrong. It absolutely is easy for the Don’t Look Up star and the rest of us at home to see the hardships that people go through on our screens and feel ownership, in a way, to comment on them. But that is kind of the point of reality TV, right? Also Season 12 of the Bravo reality show has pretty clearly leaned into Erika Jayne as a “full super-villain” at times. 

For full context, J-Law mentioned the TV personality when making a broad statement about the current season of the Bravo show, telling Variety:

Erika Jayne is also dealing with how to pay back what she and Tom Girardi owe, with more than 200 of their personal items is set to be auctioned off September 21. She was also asked to forfeit a pair of diamond earrings reportedly worth $1.4 million.

Disbarred L.A. attorney Tom Girardi and his former law firm filed for bankruptcy back in 2020. They are facing a mountain of civil lawsuits as a result, from previous clients, partners and lenders who were purportedly not paid settlements and fees owed to them. (Reports indicate that more than half a billion dollars of funds were embezzled by Girardi et al to bolster their own pockets.) His now-ex-wife Erika Jayne, of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame, has also been named in these suits, due to allegations that she helped the schemes by funneling money from the firm to her entertainment company, EJ Global. The latest in the situation is that the formerly married couple are being forced to pay back a huge chunk of money they owe via another auction.

The John Moran Auctioneers & Appraisers group is overseeing the auction of more than 200 items on September 21, with online bidding open a few days prior to, per RadarOnline. Apparently, a handful of pricey personal possessions of the Girardis are up for grabs. This includes an estimated $60,000-worth Steinway piano, some rare paintings and their library collection of first editions (such as a first edition of Niccolò Machiavelli's The Prince).

It is believed that the entire lot will bring in about $280,000 for bankruptcy allocation. Obviously, that’s no where near the alleged nine figures in total that is in question. However, 80 percent of the auction sales are slated to go directly to one of Tom Girardi’s lenders, California Attorney Lending II Inc., who already filed a $6 million claim against the 83-year-old and his firm. The other 20 percent will supposedly go to unsecured creditors with similar claims.

Nevertheless, Tom Girardi’s family had seemingly fought against certain items being part of the auction. Radar Online reported in July that his brother filed for exemptions on his behalf. He wanted to keep most of his furniture sets out of the lot, as well as the Steinway. But clearly that didn’t pan out in his favor.

This isn’t the first auction effort, though, to help the ex-attorney pay back money owed. Back in August of 2021, several other high-ticket items were up for sale, such as a Julie Roberts-signed poster of the 2000 film Erin Brockovich, which was based on the now-defunct Girardi & Keese law firm, as well as other memorabilia. But it was the lingerie pieces also included in the lot that confused Erika Jayne at the time – because she claimed they weren’t even hers.

There’s also the matter of Erika Jayne’s $1.4 million earrings she reportedly refused to hand over to the trustee who was appointed to deal with the bankruptcy claims and auctions. (A paper trail allegedly showed Tom Girardi had taken funds from a drug settlement at the firm to purchase them.) The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum fought for the earrings in court, but ultimately, a judge ordered her to turn them over because they were technically considered “stolen property” whether she knew they were at the time of receiving them or not.

The lawsuits are continuing to pile up elsewhere against Erika Jayne and her ex. Actor Nicolas Cage’s ex is suing the couple for hundreds of thousands of dollars. There’s also that $5 million civil suit, which the TV personality has said she’s being extorted in. Likewise, she got served in the $50 million class action suit on the way back from vacation. And she apparently owes several million in back taxes, to boot.

So, overall, it looks like things are still largely unsettled in these legal woes. Although you wouldn’t be able to tell too much in the currently airing twelfth season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Erika Jayne called the situation a “shame” in one episode, yet has also insinuated that certain claims have been or will be proven wrong. Things got a bit awkward over at LAX airport last week for one Real Housewives star. Erika Jayne was returning home from a Hawaiian vacation alongside co-stars Diana Jenkins and Lisa Rinna when she got served with ever more legal papers at the baggage claim. The docs pertain to a $50 million lawsuit that now alleges the 50-year-old had committed racketeering and other crimes in conjunction with her ex-husband Tom Girardi and his disgraced Girardi & Keese law firm. Amidst the hoopla, Erika Jayne had detailed the ”shame” of her situation during the latest episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills aptly titled “Beverly Hills Blackout.”

The episode aired on July 27 on Bravo, but the footage in question actually dates back to last year’s Christmas holidays. Newcomer on the show Diana Jenkins, who has also gotten into some feuding of her own with Sutton Stracke of late, hosted a Christmas party where all her RHOBH castmates were invited. Kathy Hilton showed up (finally) after a slight hiatus due to her daughter Paris Hilton’s wedding planning and festivities. A heavily inebriated Erika Jayne tried to explain why she didn’t attend that big shindig despite being invited, saying,

Erika Jayne was referring to the intense scrutiny surrounding her connection to Tom Girardi and his L.A. law firm that supposedly embezzled millions meant for clients and partners. The new $50 million lawsuit in fact comes from several survivors and remaining family members of a plane crash who were clients of the firm and who allegedly never received settlement funds. The RHOBH alum is tangled up in this because her entertainment company, EJ Global, is accused of funneling those funds to it.

Her recent comments to Kathy Hilton mark one of the few and far between times that she has admitted feelings about the predicament. Before this, Erika Jayne has only denied the culpability accusations leveled against her and even claimed in this Season 12 that some (or possibly even all) of the complaints might be unfounded pending further investigation. In this case, she's admitted that she skipped the wedding because of the cloud that's hung over her head in recent months. 

The former Broadway star had been drinking on the night of the Christmas party episode. After interrupting the host mid-song and making some laxative remarks to Crystal Kung Minkoff after she had just opened up about her ongoing eating disorder struggle, Erika Jayne’s co-stars began to talk fervently about her having a “drinking problem.” Kyle Richards was uncomfortable throwing that kind of verbiage around, especially given the troubled history with her sister’s sobriety on the show. But Minkoff called the behavior “out of control” and Garcelle Beauvais was firm that they all can’t be in “denial” about what they see going on.

Lisa Rinna ultimately spearheaded an intervention of sorts the next day with her longtime friend. Erika Jayne confessed that when she went home after the party, she not only hit her head but also vomited, adding that it was essentially “the fallout” of the Tom Girardi scandal taking its toll on her. Rinna responded,

The legally embattled TV personality claimed she was going to change as a result of the snafu. Diana Jenkin’s event was technically her second strike, as she already went on a major bender previously at Garcelle Beauvais’ birthday party – where she hit on one of Beauvais’ sons and told the other (teenage) one to literally fuck off. It isn’t clear as of yet though if that or some other reason is the impetus behind the off-season feud between Beauvais and Erika Jayne taking up headlines in the present.

Bravo beef aside, Erika Jayne has more serious matters on her plate to contend with still. On top of the $50 million suit, she’s also being sued by Nicolas Cage’s ex for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Likewise, there remains the problem of her owing more than $2 million to the IRS and a (smaller but no less serious) $5 million suit from others who claim to have not gotten paid by Tom Girardi either.

We know so far from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that Erika Jayne plans to help her situation a bit by hopefully not getting fully divorced from Tom Girardi anytime soon. She alleged in a different episode that while they as a couple are legally separated, she now technically makes more money than Girardi and would owe him substantial alimony if a divorce indeed went through. Obviously, she might need that supposed hefty Bravo paycheck for these other, more pressing, legal woes here soon…

Much as The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently in the midst of its twelfth season on Bravo, star Erika Jayne is currently embroiled in more legal issues, as has been her status quo for quite a while now, in large part tied to her former marriage with the disbarred and disgraced lawyer Tom Girardi. (The latest episode of the show featured Jayne confessing that Girardi had called her up from his memory care facility after she tested positive for COVID.) As Jayne returned from a pricey trip to Hawaii shared with castmates Lisa Rinna and Diana Jenkins, she was reportedly served papers indicating she’s now being targeted by a new lawsuit seeking a whopping $50 million.

RHOBH’s Erika Jayne was said to be heading out of Los Angeles International Airport on the night of Friday, July 22, when the casually dressed reality star was approached in the baggage claim area by a woman handling two sizable stacks of paperwork. According to PageSix, the papers detailed a new lawsuit filed by Edelson PC, with Jayne being accused of nine different charges. Those alleged crimes include racketeering, conspiracy to commit racketeering, unlawful business practice and deceit, and more. 

A clip of the airport incident has spread on social media, with Erika Jayne having quite the limited response to being served, saying: 

The new court documents accuse Erika Jayne of being fully aware of Tom Girardi allegedly embezzling settlement payments that were meant to be distributed to the families and victims of those involved in the Lion Air Flight 610 crash in Indonesia. She’s also accused of publicly flaunting her glitzy lifestyle as a way of convincing potential and active clients of Girardi & Keese that the law firm was successful. Here’s some of the specific language used in the paperwork:

To note, this isn’t actually the first time that Edelson PC has served Erika Jayne with such a high-dollar lawsuit. The firm also filed documents back in early April, saying Jayne was central to the “largest criminal racketeering enterprise” in history. But Jay Edelson shared some background info there, saying that the April lawsuit was more of a limited situation, as far as the targets of the claims and the specifics of those claims went. Meanwhile, the latest case is tied to “prosecuting the claims” of the widows and orphans whose settlement funds were allegedly embezzled. By the time the suit is finished, Edelson PC aims to prove that Girardi & Keese was a “criminal enterprise.” 

Jayne, who also admitted in the latest Real Housewives episode that she was inclined to stay married to Girardi as a way of having to pay him alimony after a divorce, has long maintained her innocence where Tom Girardi’s alleged actions are concerned. But she clearly can’t stay away from legal action, as it was in the week prior to her Hawaii trip that Jayne was named in a lawsuit filed by Nicolas Cage’s ex Christina Fulton (who shares a son with the actor). Fulton was in a car accident and was supposed to receive nearly a million dollars after settlement negotiations were handled by Girardi & Keese, but claimed in the suit that she still hadn’t been paid $744,300 of that settlement three years later.

While it’s impossible to tell what will happen next for Erika Jayne & Co., fans can certainly keep up with Real Housewives of Beverly Hills when new episodes air Wednesday nights on Bravo at 8:00 p.m. ET, with past seasons available to stream for those with Peacock Premium subscriptions.

A number of people have filed suit against Erika Jayne of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame as of late, in connection to the supposed embezzlement schemes of her husband Tom Girardi and his work at the Girardi & Keese law firm. There’s the $2.1 million civil suit coming from the mother of late NFL player Chuck Osborne. There’s the $5 million suit from lawyers who allegedly didn’t receive consultation fees – not to mention, the whopping reported $50 million racketeering case. The reality star is continually being named in these legal matters because it’s believed that she knew what her now-ex-partner was up to and was possibly aiding and abetting him as well. Well, now, even Nicolas Cage’s ex is now part of that list, as she is suing Jayne for hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Christina Fulton dated the Mandy actor for only a few years in the late 1980s, but they still share a son together from that time. Presently, the ex-model is suing two attorneys and Erika Jayne over the car accident settlement funds that she reportedly never received, per court documents filed on July 14 that were obtained by Page Six. Apparently, due to the injuries she sustained from the accident, Fulton was supposed to receive $924,300 from the settlement negotiated by Girardi & Keese’s Samantha Gold and John Kelley Courtney in 2019. However, she stipulates in the suit that she has yet to receive exactly $744,300.

As Nic Cage’s former flame tells it in the court filings, she received small payments over time, which she says were a way for Tom Girardi to “dupe his clients” into believing that they’d be paid in full eventually. However, Christina Fulton supposedly learned of certain financial documents that demonstrate the illegality of the matter, to include her settlement check being immediately deposited into a Girardi & Keese bank account. According to her, this occurred without her consent. The suit states:

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum is attached to the case because there’s an alleged money trail that shows how the huge sum in question was funneled to her own EJ Global and Pretty Mess Inc. companies. Erika Jayne then supposedly “used the money to pay off her expenses.” Furthermore, the docs claim that she was the only one to withdraw funds from the firm, but ultimately, that she and Tom Girardi treated the money as personal assets in order to “pay for their lavish lifestyle.” Fulton’s attorney, Ronald Richards, said in a statement to the outlet:

In response, Erika Jayne’s attorney, Evan C. Borges, reiterated the 50-year-old’s innocence to Page Six. They maintain that the TV personality had “no role” in the business dealings of her ex, who has since been disbarred from practicing law and now lives in an assisted care facility due to a reported dementia diagnosis. According to Borges, Jayne simply believed that her former husband was “extremely wealthy” and had a “financially successful law firm.” He continued:

Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills -- on which Erika Jayne was thought to go "full super-villian" -- has been airing amidst the ongoing legal turmoil. So far on the show, Erika Jayne has maintained her innocence and even proclaimed to her castmates that the allegations against her had seemingly been “disproven.” But now, it seems that her legal troubles have proven to be far from over. Due to the embezzlement accusations that have come to light about him, L.A. attorney Tom Girardi is now disbarred from practicing law, disowned by his partner of 20 years, Erika Jayne, and relatively penniless. Both he and his law firm Girardi Keese had to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy as a result of the legal situation, in order to pay off creditors and former clients. The trustee appointed to the bankruptcy case has stipulated that one item from the estate in particular, a pair of diamond earrings reportedly worth $1.4 million, needed to be turned over toward that end. 

However, Erika Jayne supposedly refused to hand them over – spurring a back-and-forth in court over who could claim ownership. In the latest development in the battle over the pricey jewelry, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was hit with some bad news.

Judge Makes Decision In Case Over Erika Jayne's Earrings

The TV personality’s attorney had previously explained that his client wasn’t purposefully withholding the diamond earrings. Apparently, they had agreed jointly with the bankruptcy trustee to keep them in a lock box until a judge could make a decision. They also argued that the “statutes of limitations had expired” for the trustee to claim them, given how Tom Girardi had made the lofty write-off for them back in 2007.

Nonetheless, the judge ruled against the reality star in a hearing on June 28, according to a reporter for Law360. He didn’t believe that Erika Jayne knew directly of how Tom Girardi paid for the earrings – i.e. using funds meant for victims of a diabetes drug settlement – but it didn’t matter anyway because she was “still in possession of stolen property.” Consequently, she will have to turn them over as requested.

Erika Jayne And Others React To Court Ruling

In the wake of the decision, one who did speak out was the former counsel in the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, Ronald Richards. He reacted on Twitter by writing that for "too long" the Bravolebrity has kept up the "defunct narrative" in her defense that she didn't have direct participation of stolen funds. Richards added "$25m next," a seeming reference to the huge amount she reportedly owes in asset hiding for Tom Girardi. But regardless, Erika Jayne isn't content with the ruling. In a statement from her lawyer to Us Weekly, Evan Borges shared,

Her representative had articulated to the judge that Erika Jayne took nothing when she left Tom Girardi besides personal items like the earrings in question and that she was living primarily off her paycheck for appearing on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. (Season 12 is currently airing on Wednesdays on Bravo and next day on Peacock Premium.) He added in the statement to the press that the judge taking back a “gift received by an innocent spouse” raises questions about law precedent in that regard. Ultimately, though, he said “that’s for a higher court to decide.”

Other Legal And Financial Woes For RHOBH Star

The earrings ruling is just another development in the string of bad news for the 50-year-old. Earlier this year, after escaping one civil lawsuit naming her as an accomplice in the reported schemes, Erika Jayne was hit with another major lawsuit. She’s also named in the $50 million suit that claims she was Tom Girardi's frontwoman for the supposedly biggest racketeering enterprise in history. To boot, she evidently can’t pay more than $2 million in back taxes owed by her entertainment company that Girardi allegedly managed the finances for.

Still, Erika Jayne has continued to maintain her innocence in connection to the alleged crimes. We'll keep you updated as the other issues continue to unfold.

It’s been problem after problem, lawsuit after lawsuit for Erika Jayne for almost two years now. While her husband, Tom Girardi, and his former law firm have been accused of embezzling nearly $500 million from clients and partners in the past, she in turn has been labelled the frontwoman in the supposedly “largest racketeering enterprise” ever in plaintiff’s law. Namely, prosecutors say that the RHOBH star knew about the purported schemes the whole time and even funneled the questionable funds through her entertainment company, EJ Global LLC, and through her personal effects. And apparently, there’s even more legal trouble on the horizon for her after refusing to hand over one expensive gift in particular given to her by Girardi.

Due to the various claims leveled against them, both Tom Girardi and the Girardi Keese law firm had to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy back in 2020. A trustee was later appointed to deal with the complicated financial situation, to include auctioning Girardi’s house and countless priceless items to pay off creditors. The next item up for grabs was supposed to be a pair of $750k diamond earrings, allegedly now worth $1.4 million but, per Radar Online, the 50-year-old soon-to-be ex-wife refused to give them up entirely. The outlet obtained new court documents consequently filed by the trustee, and it looks like they’re throwing law precedent at Erika Jayne, stating:

The trustee also stated that the Bravo alum could also face “imprisonment in a county jail for not more than one year” for withholding seemingly known stolen property, per Penal Code §496(a). (Tom Girardi allegedly took the money for the earrings from a settlement meant for victims of the drug Rezulin.) The reality TV star and her legal team are fighting the accusations that she knew about the money trail in court, but the opposition isn't letting her off the hook just yet. They stated in the filing:

In a statement to Radar Online, Erika Jayne’s lawyer painted an altogether different picture of the earrings debacle. He stipulates that the money taken out from the law firm for the earrings was done so by two Girardi Keese partners, not his client. Furthermore, since this was supposedly done in 2007, the “statues of limitations have expired.” He continued:

The legal rep added that the trustee already took the Beverly Hills alum up on an offer to “put the earrings in an escrow pending a final judicial resolution.” As they tell it, the trustee actually has the key to the safe deposit box where the earrings are right now.

One might assume that Erika Jayne is fighting so hard for Tom Girardi’s controversial earrings because she herself might need the proceeds from it here soon. Amidst one of the many other ongoing legal battles she’s facing, a $5 million lawsuit, the plaintiffs involved allege that she is seeking an “unfair advantage” by holding up the discovery process before the next hearing. They requested that EJ Global’s taxes be filed so they could proceed on that front, which a judge tentatively agreed to. As a result, though, the entertainer later filed in court that she was unable to pay the huge amount of unpaid taxes for the company that was holding things up.

She maintains that she had nothing whatsoever to do with the financial side of her personal or professional life while married because Tom Girardi managed it all. Additionally, she believes she’s being extorted by the various interested parties.

Thus far, former L.A. attorney Tom Girardi and his Girardi & Keese law firm have been accused of embezzling over $500 million in funds from clients and partners over the years. And Girardi's now ex- wife, known by her stage name Erika Jayne, continues to face allegations that she aided and abetted the schemes by funneling that money through her entertainment company, EJ Global LLC. As a result, she’s been named alongside him in several ongoing, multi-million-dollar civil lawsuits coming from the reported victims involved. But that’s not the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum’s only concern, because apparently Jayne also owes a huge amount in back taxes.

What’s more, she apparently can’t pay that money just yet, either. People obtained court documents filed by the 50-year-old on Tuesday, June 14. In them, Erika Jayne claims that she owes California state taxes from the year 2019 to the total of $2,226,985.77. She added that she got a notice in May of this year about making tax payments for the hefty sum, which she says isn’t possible at this point in time:

We first learned of Erika Jayne’s tax troubles last month amidst the $5 million lawsuit leveled against her, Tom Girardi and others. The plaintiffs are former colleagues of Girardi’s who allegedly never got paid their share of settlements they worked on for Girardi & Keese. They accused the reality star wife in Supreme Court of California filings in May of seeking an “unfair advantage” in the case by means of knowing that EJ Global was suspended by the state’s tax board since February and doing “nothing” about it.

Evidently with the company suspended (i.e. taxes weren’t filed), the prosecution’s discovery process was being delayed before the next court hearing on the matter. They requested a 10-day deadline to be imposed on Erika Jayne for her to file. She hit back on social media that she was being exhorted in this particular case. However, the California Superior Court seemingly found some merit in the request later that week and ordered the Bravolebrity to file a report on her efforts to “revive” EJ Global (aka filing taxes) by June 27. Based on the June 14 filing, the report is apparently that she can’t file and she can’t pay.

The former Broadway actress is supposedly trying to figure out the particulars of the finances that she claims she had no role in managing ever before. Per the recent filing, there are still question marks surrounding a questionable pair of $750k earrings (which made huge headlines in the past because Erika Jayne reportedly wouldn’t hand them over for the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, despite it allegedly being written off as a tax expense by her ex-husband). Erika Jayne said she doesn’t know if the expensive jewelry is under a lien (or collateral) by the tax board. Nevertheless, she defended herself, saying,

Erika Jayne maintains that she neither had access to nor managed any of the money related to Tom Girardi’s law firm or their personal finances. She also has denied any wrongdoing in the various lawsuits aimed at her currently.

Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills – airing on Wednesdays on Bravo and the next day to people subscribed to Peacock Premium – is catching viewers up on the day-to-day life of Erika Jayne. However, we haven’t yet arrived at the controversial episode where she claims to care about no one but herself, not even the supposed victims in these cases. It would seem, though, that she will very much have to care about a more than $2 million tax bill here shortly.

One of the more serious dramas on Erika Jayne’s plate at the moment – beyond feuds with her reality TV co-stars – is a $5 million lawsuit. It’s just one of several civil cases that she is named in alongside her ex, Tom Girardi, his former law firm and others. The plaintiffs say Girardi (who is currently living in an assisted living facility after a dementia diagnosis) never paid them their cut of a settlement and likewise accuse Jayne’s entertainment company of funneling those funds away. However, after new allegations surfaced this week about the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum amid the case, she hit back with claims of extortion.

Specifically, court documents obtained by Page Six showed the plaintiffs (via their legal representation) had filed a motion requesting a deadline for Erika Jayne to get her EJ Global LLC out of suspension from the tax board (i.e. to file her taxes). Supposedly, by her purposefully not doing so in past months, it is delaying the discovery process, which they deemed an “unfair advantage” ahead of the next hearing in July. Her lawyers made strong statements to the outlet in response, even going so far as to accuse the plaintiffs themselves of entering into an “illegal fee-split” with Tom Girardi.

Additionally, it was insinuated the petitioners had been extorting the former Broadway star by threatening to reveal that her bills are purportedly being paid by someone else of late. The Bravo veteran reposted part of her legal team’s scathing words to her Instagram and echoed the sentiment of feeling extorted in the caption. See below:

Erika Jayne’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Lisa Rinna left a heart emoji in support on the post. But Ronald Richards, the attorney representing the law offices of Philip R. Sheldon and Robert P. Finn, was clearly less than enthused by the extortion claims. In a new statement to Page Six, Richards said:

It seems that the California Superior Court found some merit to the original suspension deadline request because it ruled in the plaintiffs’ favor on Friday, May 27. The RHOBH star has now been ordered to file a report of the steps she’s taking to “revive” the EJ Global LLC by the June 27th deadline.

At the time the motion first came to light, Erika Jayne’s lawyers claimed that they were already “trying” to get her company unsuspended. As they tell it, Tom Girardi, his law firm and his accountants were in charge of all the finances regarding EJ Global and are currently in possession of any related records. And since those are all tied up currently with the other ongoing lawsuits and the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, it’s apparently proving to be a “difficult task” to obtain the records for Jayne to file those taxes.

Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has caught some of the former singer's real-time thoughts amidst her legal woes, with more new episodes to follow. (Catch those airing on Wednesdays on Bravo or next-day with Peacock Premium.) And in her latest (non-social media) update, she called out co-star Sutton Stracke’s on-screen behavior before eventually revealing that she’s feeling slightly more optimistic about her situation. Though another lawsuit with Erika Jayne’s name on it was quickly replaced one after it was dropped. We'll just have to wait and see how things pan out for the embattled reality TV star.

For nearly a year and a half, Erika Jayne’s name has been frequently referenced regarding the alleged fraud, racketeering and embezzlement activities of her ex-husband Tom Girardi. Specifically, it is believed by some that she aided and abetted Girardi in the funneling of funds from his law firm (i.e. his clients and partners) to her personal entertainment company, EJ Global LLC – making her supposedly liable for upwards of $25 million in funds. Several civil lawsuits were filed as a result, but more recently, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star is being accused of seeking an “unfair advantage” in one of those lawsuits against her.

Page Six obtained new court documents for the case in which the law offices of Philip R. Sheldon and Robert Finn are suing Tom Girardi for allegedly never paying them their $5 million share for previous settlements. (The Girardi & Keese law firm, Erika Jayne, her company, and several others are also named in the suit.) In a Supreme Court of California declaration filed on May 26, they claim that the notorious Bravo reality star is aware that her company has been suspended by the state’s tax board since February and is purposefully keeping it that way to hide information. The plaintiffs’ attorney, Ronald Richards, stated in the docs:

Richards alleged that the sustained suspension on EJ Global is preventing them from completing the discovery process ahead of the next official hearing on the matter, which will take place in late July. As a result, he asked the court to implement a 10-day deadline for Erika Jayne’s company to get out of suspension, which would mean the filing of the company’s tax returns.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum and her legal team have taken the opposite position, however, claiming that such a move isn’t necessary. Jayne's attorney, Evan C. Borges, said in a statement to the outlet that the suspension is a “mess” created by Tom Girardi, his law firm and his accountants. Apparently, she has “no access to records” due to Girardi (et al) being the ones who are currently in possession of said records that they themselves managed. Borges said they’re “not giving up trying” to lift the suspension, but that it's “an extremely difficult task.” He continued:

A separate motion, also obtained by Page Six, was filed last week by the Erika Jayne legal team for a protective order on her personal financial records, so they can be kept confidential. They claimed that information has no “relevance” to the lawsuit at hand.

This isn’t the only legal drama on the 50-year-old’s plate, either. Her name was dropped from one lawsuit, only to be named thereafter on a different $2.1 million suit coming from the mother of a late NFL player. Erika Jayne has also been named in docs for a $50 million civil case that alleges Tom Girardi’s scheme was the “largest criminal racketeering enterprise in the history of plantiff’s law.”

Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (airing Wednesdays on Bravo and streaming next-day with a Peacock Premium subscription) has documented only some of Erika Jayne’s thoughts and feelings on the serious legal situation. Yet, for the most part, its focus is on the typical interpersonal drama between co-stars. However, she continues to maintain her innocence both on and off the screen.

The drama on Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills took a very real and very scary turn in its premiere episode as it focused on main castmate Dorit Kemsley literally the morning after armed robbers had broken into her California home. No one was physically harmed during the incident, but the culprits reportedly made off with several expensive items. The cast rallied around Kemsley, who was visibly shaken by the events, save for one notable exception: Sutton Stracke. And since that time, Erika Jayne has called Stracke out for what she deemed an “insensitive” reaction to the home invasion.

When initially discussing the ordeal with Kyle Richards on the show, Sutton Stracke indeed did not appear to have much sympathy for Dorit Kemsley, going so far as to remark that she herself was “putting out fires” all morning concerning a fashion designer’s travel arrangements to her boutique. And after Richards became uncomfortable, the 50-year-old sarcastically added that she was sorry she didn’t have a gun to her head for her own problems (like how Kemsley did amidst the robbery). Her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Erika Jayne was understandably none too pleased by it all, saying on the May 19 episode of The Wendy Williams Show:  

Both on and off the reality series, Dorit Kemsley has shared several harrowing details about the home invasion. Evidently, the two robbers present in the home had repeatedly threatened her life, forcing Kemsley in turn to beg them not to kill her for the sake of her 5-year-old and 7-year-old, who were sleeping in the next room over. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star in fact revealed how close of a call it actually was that her kids weren’t exposed to the circumstances, given how she had just put them in their own bed right before it all happened.

Erika Jayne wasn’t the only one who considered Sutton Stracke’s reaction to be inconsiderate. Kyle Richards, too, said the same, right to her co-star’s face in the May 19 episode of the reality series. Stracke defended herself at the time, saying that she doesn’t “deal well” with the idea of violent crime. (As if everyone else in the world is just peachy with the topic.) Later, the Bravo alum expressed regret to Page Six that it was actually “insensitive” of her and that she hadn’t been “focused” on her priorities.

Nevertheless, the statement coming from Erika Jayne about Sutton Stracke is a bit ironic in hindsight. Because in the past, Erika Jayne has been accused herself of being insensitive toward the alleged victims of her ex-husband Tom Girardi, who reportedly stole millions of dollars from the likes of widows, plane crash victims and other clients at his law firm with the help of Erika. She denies any wrongdoing on her part there, but her empathy is supposedly an ongoing topic of discussion still in Season 12. Erika Jayne was even heard saying in the trailer that she cares about no one but herself amidst a future argument with co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff about the victims.

On that legal front, the former Broadway star said on The Wendy Williams Show that it is a “long and arduous process” to find resolution. (Currently, she’s still facing several major civil lawsuits alongside her ex.) However, she added that she’s in a “much better place” than last year and that there’s a “light at the end of the tunnel.”

As of this writing, the suspects in Dorit Kemsley’s home invasion have yet to be identified. Kyle Richards has said that reliving the nightmare as episodes release has been rather difficult for her friend, but that Kemsley is still in therapy to deal with her trauma. As we know all too well at this point, reality TV often means stars will be cast or edited into certain roles for entertainment. The most common of which is the villain or, to borrow a wrestling term, the heel. Over her last six years on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne has had her fair share of blowups but, largely, she's tried to maneuver away from such definitive edits by remaining cold, aloof and unbothered with the drama on the show. Yet Season 12 is speculated amongst fans to be a bit different, as Erika Jayne apparently goes into “full super-villain” mode – and the reality star is addressing those claims upfront.

The insinuations came about initially when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 12 trailer dropped online in April. In it, Erika Jayne is seen getting into a heated argument with a co-star over them siding with the alleged victims of her ex-husband’s embezzlement schemes. She is also heard saying that she cares only about herself in the situation. However, the 50-year-old told Entertainment Tonight that she’s not being a villain, just a champion for herself, saying:

Indeed, the premiere of Season 12 on May 11 showed that effort to an extent. A gym date between her and co-star Garcelle Beauvais – which clearly predates their serious feud of late – saw the former double down on the fact that her old problems with Sutton Stracke on the show don’t warrant an apology by her in the slightest. But, mostly, the Beverly Hills cast were still reeling from the then-recent home invasion experienced by Dorit Kemsley.

The real drama is expected to kick into overdrive in the coming weeks concerning Erika Jayne. I doubt Sutton Stracke’s comments about the controversial star being a gold digger will stay quiet for long. Then there’s Garcelle Beauvais unfollowing Jayne on social media for cryptic reasons at some point and also the fight with Crystal Kung Minkoff over the accusers in the legal case. Kung Minkoff has explained since why it was “very easy” for her to defend the reported victims on the show.

Nevertheless, the TV personality and former singer has continuously denied any wrongdoing as it relates to the supposed “largest criminal racketeering enterprise” in history, as it’s being deemed by some. But there are still a few multi-million dollar lawsuits that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been named in for reportedly aiding and abetting her ex Tom Girardi. During the latest premiere of her show, she admonished a producer (a rare occurrence) over Bravo needing to do its “due diligence” of showing what’s been proven wrong about her in the situation.

Still, she might have wanted to consider taking heed. Because she caught a ton of heat last season for coming across as defensive and unfeeling toward those involved in the ongoing cases. But, so it would seem, that’s not the way of Erika “Ice Queen” Jayne.

In November 2020, it was reported that Erika Jayne of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fame had shockingly filed for divorce from her husband of two decades, Tom Girardi. Not long after, news broke of Girardi’s alleged multi-million-dollar embezzlement schemes at his L.A. law firm. His reality star ex-wife has been dealing with the fallout ever since, including accusations that she may have known about his reported endeavors to steal from clients and firm partners. Ahead of her show’s Season 12 premiere, though, Jayne got candid about “mourning” the marriage and life she had before all the legal woes began.

After Erika Jayne filed for divorce, there were accusations rolling around that claimed that the move was a “sham” to help Tom Girardi hide funds intended to repay the alleged victims. She has denied any involvement, both on and off Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but fans and her co-stars have continued to question her side of the story. Speaking to Us Weekly, the 50-year-old indicated that her marriage to Girardi was very much real and that its dissolution apparently hurts to this day, no matter what he did or didn't do. She said:

Tom Girardi was diagnosed with dementia and placed in an assisted care facility/conservatorship amidst the ongoing legal troubles last year, with his ex-wife seen sobbing on Beverly Hills at that time over his deteriorating mental state. But off camera, paparazzi had caught up with Girardi who (perhaps questionably, given his health diagnosis) told them that his wife knew what had been going on financially.

Erika Jayne previously shared on Season 11 of the show that she had still been in contact with her ex-husband, despite the situation that they were entangled in. And that's evidently still the case to this day. But the Bravo star maintained to the outlet that he is still not all there when they talk, saying:

That's not the only issue the reality TV star is dealing with right now, though. She's currently fighting against a $50 million class action lawsuit that she's named in alongside Tom Girardi – in what is being deemed the “largest criminal racketeering enterprise” in history. On that front, she reiterated previous statements where she lamented being implicated at all, saying that the employees at the Girardi & Keese law firm should be “front and center” of the finger-pointing, not her. She added that all the heat has been “hard” on her own mental health.

Season 12 of RHOBH is slated to dig even deeper into the situation. Erika Jayne was heard in the season’s trailer saying that she, in fact, only cared about herself. She also questions Crystal Kung Minkoff over her siding with the victims for “cool” points, which has prompted the relative newcomer on the show to come out and explain why it was “very easy” for her to defend the supposed victims in question.

It's a sticky situation and likely one that will get even stickier, given how defensiveness didn’t exactly help Erika Jayne in the court of public opinion last year. Former high-profile L.A. attorney Tom Girardi and his now-ex-wife Erika Girardi continue to be under scrutiny for what is being described by some as the “largest criminal racketeering enterprise” in history. Tom is accused of embezzling millions from ex-clients and business partners, which has resulted in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy of his law firm and several lawsuits seeking recompense. Erika, also known by her stage name Erika Jayne on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, is named in conjunction on those suits for reportedly aiding and abetting the scheme. 

She has denied any culpability, yet her co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff (and others) seem to believe otherwise, as was seen in the Season 12 trailer of their show. Lately, Kung Minkoff has shared why it was “very easy” for her to side with the alleged victims involved.

There was a lot of doubt circling amongst the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast even last season about Erika Jayne’s side of the legal situation. The 50-year-old was noticeably prickly about being questioned by the group, which apparently escalated further in Season 12. In fact, a huge blowup is expected to take place over Crystal Kung Minkoff having a much firmer stance on the matter. In her own defense, Kung Minkoff told Page Six,

Though the reality star clearly feels for the reported victims, it isn’t exactly certain if she believes that Erika Jayne is guilty of what she’s accused of or if she blames Tom Girardi more specifically. (Girardi himself hinted in the past that his wife knew what was going on, but the 82-year-old’s comments remain questionable due to his dementia diagnosis.) Whatever the real case may be, Erika Jayne leveled accusations of her own during the new season that Crystal Kung Minkoff wanted to be on the victims’ sides purely because she thinks “it’s cool.” Kung Minkoff thumbed her nose a bit at the insinuation, saying,

Nevertheless, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star added that she was also on relatively “cool” terms with her controversial co-star at the time of filming the reality series. According to her, Erika Jayne was “very helpful” amidst her other conflicts going on in Season 12. But she added that when it comes to true friendships, she expects mutual accountability for “doing something wrong,” and supposedly in that regard, Erika Jayne was willing to “hash things out.”

Holding others accountable for misdeeds would seem a hard task when the accused party doesn’t believe they’re in the wrong. Along with constantly denying the legal accusations, Erika Jayne went in hard at the last reunion that she isn’t about to stop showing off her lavish lifestyle on the Gram, either, because she’ll be criticized no matter what. In the new season trailer, she callously revealed that she doesn’t care about anyone but herself. And before that, the star claimed that the visibility of being on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is why she is actually implicated with Tom Girardi, not necessarily because of any real wrongdoing on her part.

At present, Erika Jayne is still fighting off a number of lawsuits, including one with a whopping $50 million price tag. And it appears that her list of personal allies grows thin, given Crystal Kung Minoff’s recent statements and the book-burning feud with her other co-star Garcelle Beauvais. For some time now, reports have claimed that all is not well between Erika Jayne and Garcelle Beauvais. There was talk of an Aspen cast trip gone bad amidst filming Season 12 of their show, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, back in January. Not long after that, the two notably unfollowed each other on social media, with Beauvais stating at the time that there was something she “didn’t really align with” on her co-star’s Instagram feed. The feud is escalating further of late, even with production for the season having officially wrapped.

A back-and-forth erupted just a few days ago in the wake of Garcelle Beauvais seemingly throwing some metaphorical gasoline onto the fire. The former co-host of a recently canceled talk show had borrowed a clip from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Season 12 trailer – where she tells Erika Jayne that she makes herself “look bad” – to help promote her memoir on Instagram. The reactions were swift, with co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff commenting, “I’m dead,” and Sutton Stracke saying that her co-star has serious balls for making the move. But they were all topped when Erika Jayne took to her Instagram stories, via Us Weekly, with a shady declaration of her own. The reality star was seen throwing her co-star's memoir in the trash and taunting her by remarking, “Garcelle, even though you unfollowed me I’m sure you’ll see this.”

The headline-making move prompted a lot of questions from the fanbase, which the legally embattled star decided to respond to on Twitter. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was very clear in one tweet that Garcelle Beauvais’ prior post for her book was the impetus for why it went in the bin. Apparently, she thinks the lawsuits currently aimed in her direction in connection to her ex-husband should be off limits, saying:

The shots kept on coming, too. The singer lamented the fact that her castmate had evidently “trashed” Kyle Richards, Lisa Rinna and Rinna’s daughter, Amelia, in her memoir. The former Broadway star also reflected, perhaps jokingly, that her co-star should cut her a check for using her notoriety as promotion or, otherwise, “use your famous friends” to do so.

The reason for the latest in the Bravo beef is pretty clear, but what isn’t clear is how it really started in the first place. Some speculation has it that Erika Jayne still holds a grudge after last season, during which Garcelle Beauvais brought up personal details on-camera that ultimately resulted in a major blowup between Jayne and even the producers. They had squashed things at the last reunion, yet judging by what’s to come in Season 12, perhaps the hatchet isn’t quite buried as we thought.

Feuds within the Real Housewives franchise occur so often, though, it’s hard to tell sometimes if we’re talking DEFCON-1 or DEFCON-2 in level of severity. We’ll find out how deep the bad blood actually goes between Erika Jayne and Garcelle Beauvais when Beverly Hills drops Season 12 on Bravo, May 11 at 8 p.m. EST, as part of the 2022 TV schedule.

The saga of Erika Jayne’s legal situation continues. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has been named in two major lawsuits alongside her ex-husband Tom Girardi, pertaining to alleged embezzlement, racketeering, and aiding and abetting. While one is a $2.1 million suit, the other is a $50 million complaint that called out the supposed criminal enterprise as being the largest in plaintiff’s law history. As these woes come to light, Erika Jayne reveals that she only cares about herself in the Season 12 trailer of her show.

It's not the best optics for the reality star, to be sure. The $50 million suit comes from families and victims from the Lion Air plane crash that reportedly never received their compensation from the Girardi & Keese law firm. And only a few days after the news broke, Bravo dropped the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 12 trailer online in which Erika Jayne herself dropped an f-bomb while discussing the said-victims, saying to Crystal Kung Minkoff in the clip from Bravo:

This isn’t the first instance of bad optics for the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. In the wake of last season, Erika Jayne had actually received a lot of criticism from fans and co-stars about how she was coming across in light of the allegations. Even Andy Cohen questioned at the Season 11 reunion whether it “looked good” for the 50-year-old to still be posting about her glamorous life on social media, for example. At the time, she only doubled down on her innocence and claimed that she would be crucified no matter what she did or did not do.

The trailer also seems to tease that Erika Jayne questions the validity of the victims’ stories in the legal matters. She is heard mockingly saying, “What about the victims? Clearly, though, more than just Erika Jayne’s problems (which are plenty in themselves) are coming into focus with the upcoming season. New castmate/Bosnian expat Diana Jenkins is hinting about being the new Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “villain.” Dorit Kemsley, as promised, discusses the scary home invasion incident that took place last year, and previous fan-favorite Kathy Hilton apparently gets her feet held to the coals for the very first time on the show.

It’s a helluva lot going on. But what clearly stands out is that Erika Jayne remains steadfast in her commitment to not caring what others may think of her. For close to a year and a half now, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne has been implicated in the alleged embezzlement schemes of her ex-husband Tom Girardi. He reportedly stole millions in funds from both his colleagues at the Girardi & Keese law firm as well as his clientele who were owed compensations. Jayne has frequently been touted as having aided and abetted the lawyer in these crimes to upkeep her rich lifestyle. In the latest update on the situation, new court documents levelled more accusations at the reality star in a $50 million, alleging she is part of the “largest criminal racketeering enterprise” in history.

The legal documents in question were filed in U.S. District Court on Tuesday, April 5, according to Page Six. They pertain to the families of the Lion Air plane crash victims, who allegedly never received money owed to them by Tom Girardi. Erika Jayne was technically dropped from a previous Lion Air lawsuit back in January, but it would appear it has been refiled (as bankruptcy trustee counsel Ronald Richards predicted). She has been named again alongside her ex, with racketeering and aiding and abetting included among the nine different complaints in the $50 million case.

Interestingly, the filing made on behalf of the victims implied that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was actually the “frontwoman of the operation” by means of selling Girardi’s good name to the public. It further alleged that, in the total scope of the scheme, the firm stole over $100 million from all the parties concerned. The docs firmly added:

Erika Jayne has continuously denied any involvement in Tom Girardi’s dealings. However, the new court documents allege that she has been lying, and that she has tried to assist her ex and others in “getting away” with the supposed crimes. Jay Edelson of Edelson PC, who is representing the crash victims’ families, said in a statement to Page Six:

This isn’t the only lawsuit that Erika Janye is currently embroiled in. She and her EJ Global entertainment company are also named in a $2.1 million suit coming from the mother of late NFL star Chuck Osbourne, where she was again accused of aiding and abetting Tom Girardi. According to the previous reporting from Ronald Richards, former counsel for the trustee in the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, there are reportedly two other pending actions as well against the star.

In the interim, Erika Jayne continues to headline the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which is in the midst of filming Season 14. She has been clear in the past that she needs that Bravo paycheck, and judging by these high-dollar lawsuits keeping her busy, it's perhaps not difficult to understand why.

Former The View co-host Meghan McCain is known for sharing controversial opinions, ranging from concerning the recent comments from her former View co-host Whoopi Goldberg to bashing the seeming “wokeness” of the And Just Like That revival series. Her latest talking point, though, might not be so provocative to some Bravo fan circles when it comes to getting “justice” for Erika Jayne after the recent Real Housewives of Salt Lake City reunion.

For context, the third and final reunion special focused heavily on Jen Shah’s fraud and money laundering charges. Not only was Shah herself questioned in-depth by host Andy Cohen, but so too was her husband Sharrieff “Coach” Shah. Namely, Cohen asked if the college football coach ever questioned where his wifey’s fruitful money flow was coming from. To his credit, he point-blank answered no and defended the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star and mother of his two sons, saying that she has worked “for 20-plus years.” He also claimed that he’s never been worried about being implicated in her alleged crimes.

In reaction to the conversation, apparent Bravo fan Meghan McCain took issue with how Sharrieff Shah has been treated in Jen Shah’s ongoing case in comparison to how Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Erika Jayne has been treated amidst her ex-husband Tom Girardi’s embezzlement lawsuits. (Lately, she has escaped one lawsuit, only to then be implicated in a new $2.1 million complaint that accuses her of aiding and abetting Girardi’s crimes by proxy of financially benefitting from them.) Essentially, McCain sees Sharrieff as the Erika Jayne to Jen Shah's Tom Girardi. And after the tense Salt Lake City reunion and its pointed questions aimed at Sharrieff, the former View co-host fired off those thoughts on Twitter:

The perceived double standard by Meghan McCain echoes comments made within the fanbase online. While Erika Jayne was frequently grilled by her co-stars and members of the public about her ex’s legal problems in Season 11 of her show, the same cannot quite be said about Sharrieff Shah during Season 2 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. Some viewers have claimed that even Jen Shah didn’t face enough criticism by her co-stars, both in Season 2 and at the reunions.

However, concerning Meghan McCain’s larger point, Sharrieff Shah is technically not a main castmate on a reality series. He’s just a husband, therefore making him less prone to scrutiny than either Jen Shah or Erika Jayne. The latter star has herself argued that she wouldn’t be implicated at all with Tom Girardi's reported issues, if she wasn’t on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Nevertheless, it’s possible that the authorities have in fact investigated her spouse for potential involvement. As of yet, he faces no criminal charges. But Jen will head to trial in New York very soon (supposedly pushed to July instead of March 22), where if found guilty, she faces upwards of 50 years in prison.

In tandem with the public learning the full extent of Tom Girardi's various legal troubles last year, his ex-wife Erika Jayne was being accused of having some culpability in the matter. She was scrutinized for supposedly knowing and benefiting from Girardi's mismanagement of funds meant for clients/employees at his law firm. A judge even set a precedent by ruling that the fraud victims could sue the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star for what they're due. She escaped one of those lawsuits just recently, but is now facing a new multi-million dollar complaint.

The previous lawsuit – in which a judge dismissed Erika Jayne, but with Tom Girardi still potentially liable – involves victims of an airplane crash seeking approximately $2 million. In the new suit, she and her EJ Global, LLC are being sued for $2.1 million, according to filings obtained by People. The complaint comes from Kathleen Bajgrowicz, a former client of Tom Girardi and mother to late NFL star Chuck Osborne, as well as former Girardi & Keese attorney Manuel H. Miller, both of whom allege that Erika Jayne “aided and abetted” Girardi. They claim she knew about his “scheme” to withhold money from rightful parties in order to fund the then-couple's “notoriously lavish lifestyle.”

Tom Girardi and Manuel H. Miller represented Chuck Osborne’s mother when she sued the NFL for his death in 2012. Miller was supposedly owed half the fees in the case for his counsel and Bajgrowicz was owed a substantial settlement from the league. According to their suit, Girardi led them to believe that the funds couldn’t be distributed from him “until various issues were first resolved.” They alleged that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum was (contrary to her own claims) “intimately involved” with the law firm’s dealings and is, therefore, liable.

After her name was dropped from the previous lawsuit seeking similar compensation, Erika Jayne publicly responded with claims of her own about why she has been implicated. Namely, she thinks it’s only because of her notoriety on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which Teresa Giudice’s former lawyer would seem to agree with. Erika Jayne’s lawyer Evan C. Borges told People that the new complaint was “another misguided effort” to blame her for other people's crimes. They added in their statement,

Along with facing the various legal woes, the Bravo star has also had to significantly downsize. Tom Girardi's law firm filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and he has been forced to sell off their home and the expensive items in it in order to pay back the victims of misappropriated money. The trustee of the bankruptcy case in fact sued Erika Jayne in court for reportedly owing back $25 million of funds that she received from the law firm.

The legal problems following Erika Jayne are one thing. Friendship problems are another, and they're apparently following the reality star again in the new season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. 

So far, the only concrete storyline that we know has made it into Season 12 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is Dorit Kemsley dealing with the fallout of her home invasion last year. However, eagle-eyed fans reportedly witnessed major conflicts amongst the cast while they filmed a trip in Aspen recently. Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke were caught out unfollowing co-star Erika Janye, who likewise returned the favor, not long before that on social media. Stracke has since resumed keeping tabs on her controversial castmate – but not Beauvais. And she’s getting real about the situation of late.

According to those fan reports about Aspen, Erika Janye was allegedly upset after some of the ladies insinuated things about her ongoing legal entanglements with her ex-husband, Tom Girardi (again). Yet, according to Garcelle Beauvais in a recent interview with Us Weekly, she unfollowed Erika Jayne’s Instagram for reasons totally unrelated to filming. Apparently, it has to do with Jayne’s variety of content instead. She said:

The actress didn’t elaborate on which post or posts were particularly offensive to her. The majority of Erika Jayne’s Instagram feed includes outtakes from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills events, promotional content and more than a few selfies. All of which isn’t too out of the norm for a Bravo star. But Jayne did come under fire last year from her castmates (and many Bravo fans) for appearing to “flaunt” her expensive and audacious lifestyle amidst details coming out about the victims Tom Girardi reportedly defrauded. It’s possible that Garcelle Beauvais just had enough in that regard.

Nevertheless, Erika Jayne is as confident about her innocence as ever in lieu of her name being dropped from one of the lawsuits in question. She in fact claimed that if she wasn’t on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills these past six years, the legal issues wouldn’t have been so “magnified.”

As for Season 12 and those Aspen rumors, Garcelle Beauvais would only tease to the outlet that it was “off the chain” and that the cast packed in “so much” during the three-day trip. The Coming 2 America star also added that she’s much more comfortable filming the reality series in what makes for her third season.

Speculation continues to run wild on the Real Housewives side of social media, though. There is talk that Kathy Hilton and Lisa Rinna are at odds, so much so that Hilton supposedly wanted out of filming entirely. Two beefs for the price of one season? The hype is getting real.

Erika Jayne herself might be feeling vindicated with her recent court win, but clearly, Garcelle Beauvais is not done with her just yet. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion is already on the books, and Season 12 is expected to premiere sometime in April.

The reality star had in fact maintained throughout Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she was innocent of her husband’s supposed crimes. But she still received a ton of criticisms from co-stars and Bravo viewers who questioned her culpability. The recent lawsuit dismissal goes some way toward clearing Erika Jayne’s name, and she’s not afraid to say it. While on E! News’ Daily Pop, the Bravo alum bluntly stated,

As a matter of fact, Erika Jayne continued that the whole ordeal would’ve been a “bad legal story” if she hadn’t been on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills these past seven years. In other words, she attributed her reality TV notoriety as the reason why the case became “magnified.”

In the wake of the dismissal news, the 50-year-old told the outlet that she has been endeavoring to “pick up the pieces” of her life by just “putting one foot in front of the other.” However, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmate revealed that the legal drama has indeed affected her, saying,

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is currently in the middle of filming Season 12 and rumors have it that the personal drama amongst the ladies is still at a DEFCON-5. Erika Jayne reportedly got into arguments with multiple co-stars during the cast trip to Aspen recently. Likewise, there is talk that Kathy Hilton wants out of filming altogether (again) – something perhaps to do with Lisa Rinna hinting on her Instagram Stories about a cease-and-desist letter?

Who knows? It's undeniable at this point that the women behind the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills had more than their fair share to say about Erika Jayne’s legal problems last year. She’s not out of the hole entirely, but time will tell if the lawsuit dismissal has them eating crow in Season 12 – or if they just now have evermore to discuss.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star recently got some good news on that front, but reports still abound of alleged conflict with her co-stars.

Despite the ups and downs in the various lawsuits, Erika Jayne has consistently maintained that she knew nothing about her ex’s supposed crimes. (Tom Girardi has since been diagnosed with dementia and lives in a care facility.) Yet both fans and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast didn't let up in 2021 on questioning Jayne’s potential complicity. According to court documents obtained by Us Weekly, though, it was seemingly all for naught because she was dismissed from the ongoing fraud and embezzlement lawsuit pertaining to airplane crash victims. In other words, there seemingly wasn't enough evidence to pursue her as a defendant in any wrongdoing.

However, Ronald Richards, the former special counsel for the trustee in the bankruptcy case, has suggested on Twitter that the star's legal woes are far from over. He included a list of still pending cases and investigations against the RHBH alum, with the next issue coming to Arizona District Court in April. He also had revealed in a statement to Us Weekly a few days ago that there was a “clear money trail” involving a pair of earrings that Bravo alum was reportedly refusing to hand over for estate funds in the bankruptcy case.

Amidst the ongoing developments in the fraud case, things have supposedly not been going well for the reality TV star with her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills castmates. Page Six reported recently that an “explosive” argument took place between her, Garcelle Beauvais and Sutton Stracke, resulting in an unfollowing spree on social media.

Apparently, on the cast’s Aspen trip for Season 12, a local to the area was present when they were filming at a coffee shop and overheard the fight in question. Per their Twitter, the women allegedly brought up Erika Jayne’s extensive drinking of late and also supposedly insinuated that she should return the pair of earrings that are a point of contention in the bankruptcy case. The Queens of Bravo Twitter account posted apparent evidence of the group in the aftermath of the situation, as can be seen here:

Erika Jayne might be feeling vindicated right now amongst her cast with the recent dismissal news. Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’s Jen Shah has been looking for a similar result in her efforts to have her own fraud case dismissed, but she hasn't yet been successful in doing so. However, Shah has been seen likewise fighting with her castmates left and right, too, in their currently airing second season.

Season 12 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is definitely in the midst of filming right now – and Dorit Kemsley has said that her October home invasion gets discussed in-depth. We'll just have to wait and see, though, if Erika Jayne continues her streak of being as candid as she can about her ex and the legal situation when the show returns to our screens.

L.A. lawyer Tom Girardi is in some very serious legal trouble. In November, news first broke that he evidently embezzled millions of dollars meant for creditors and clients, some of whom were airplane crash victims and their families. The spotlight quickly turned to Girardi's wife Erika Jayne, who had just started to film Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills at the time. When the going got tough, she could have easily bowed out of the show, but the reality star says she's “not a quitter.”

On the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ first of Season 11’s four reunion specials, Andy Cohen didn't hesitate to start digging into Erika Jayne and her tumultuous legal issues this past year. In fact, he asked whether she ever considered quitting the show. She frankly said she thought about it and that her own lawyers advocated for her to quit. But apparently, she considered the prospect a lose-lose situation no matter what she did. She said,

Some would argue, namely Andy Cohen, that Erika Jayne needed the Real Housewives gig after deciding to divorce Tom Girardi and give up their lavish lifestyle. (Reportedly, the reality star made more than $600,000 for this past season alone.) At the reunion, though, Erika Jayne shared that she wasn't even thinking about that while filming because she was just “trying to survive.” However, she said that needing that paycheck has “come more into consideration" nowadays.

When Erika Jayne inevitably didn't quit the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, many online actually called for her to be fired. She hasn't been formally charged with any crime, but the trustee in the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case for Tom Girardi’s law firm has accused Erika Jayne of some culpability, which has resulted in her being sued left and right. Erika Jayne has also faced backlash for being provocative on social media and blasé on the show amidst mounting concerns for the victims involved. But the Real Housewives alum said at the reunion that the court of public opinion should hear her out:

With the reunion nigh, though, one of the biggest questions surrounding Erika Jayne’s situation have seemingly been revealed: how much does the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pay its cast?

Reports have been indicating that the upcoming Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion saw Erika Jayne and host/executive producer Andy Cohen butting heads the most. Apparently, he wanted her to clarify things she said about her and Tom Girardi’s legal woes on the show. Namely, as we saw in the reunion’s teaser trailer, why she didn't leave sooner if Girardi was a cheater and as controlling during the marriage as she claimed. Cohen in fact can be heard outright saying, “I know what you make on this show,” with the implication being that her Real Housewives salary is substantial enough for her to support herself without him.

According to the New York Times, Bravo evidently does pays its Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast a lofty salary. It suggests that Erika Jayne was potentially making “more than $600,000” just from this controversial last season alone. This isn't necessarily how much her castmates are racking in, given that Kyle Richards and Lisa Rinna have now been on the show the longest. But it does give some idea as to how Erika Jayne has been affording some of her previously lavish lifestyle in the wake of her legal troubles, as well as hinting at what her co-stars might be making.

Erika Jayne was very frank in sharing that she expected to get nothing out of Tom Girardi in their divorce. Yet she revealed on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she packed up and left her mansion with him the day she filed for divorce and moved into a house that has an estimated $7,500 monthly rent (per OK Magazine). Her reported Bravo salary is likely covering the rent of that new home, along with her ability to still fly private jets.

All that said, Erika Jayne’s salary probably can't cover how much the trustee in the embezzlement case against Tom Girardi’s law firm is suing her for. They want the Real Housewives star to pay back a whopping $25 million that her companies reportedly received from the law firm. The money, which was allegedly used for credit card expenses and her glam team, was supposedly meant for money owed to Girardi’s clients and creditors. Jayne is also simultaneously facing several civil suits from the victims of Girardi’s purported schemes.

The first of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ 4-part reunion specials airs tonight on Bravo. Maybe Erika Jayne gives Andy Cohen the answer he's looking for as to why she didn't leave Tom Girardi with that metaphorical $600,000 check in her pocket. Judging from the teaser, though, she still seems rather guarded for legal purposes. Her husband doesn't seem to be capable of doing the same for her.

Crystal Kung Minkoff picked an auspicious year to join The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Instead of the normal fare of shaky Munchausen insinuations and cheating allegations, Season 11 is laser-focused on Erika Jayne’s serious legal troubles. (She divorced her husband of 20 years, Tom Girardi, whose law firm was later hit with an involuntary Chapter 7 bankruptcy due to him allegedly embezzling tens of millions of dollars.) Jayne has made some effort on the show to explain her side of the story (even if some of her co-stars still aren't buying what she's selling). When it comes to the reunion, though, Kung Minkoff promises that fans are in for more “explosive” confessions from the star.

Throughout this season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne’s revelations have left both her castmates and fans gobsmacked, to put it lightly. She has suggested that Tom Girardi had multiple affairs during their marriage, that a burglary at Girardi’s house eventually led to her son flipping his car five times over, and that she has never had a debit card in the last 20 years. It’s been a lot to digest but, according to newcomer Crystal Kung Minkoff, the shocking revelations continued at the reunion. Namely, how Jayne was sued by the trustee of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case for $25 million and Bethenny Frankel’s recent claims that Jayne was made aware of the legal problems a few years ago. Crystal Kung Minkoff shared that they got to the bottom of a lot of it at the reunion:

Previous reports indicated that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion was, for the most part, a big fight between Erika Jayne and executive producer/host Andy Cohen over his asking of tough questions. That could prove detrimental to her future standing on the show. There’s only one episode left in Season 11, and then fans will find out what really went down at the reunion when it premieres on Bravo on October 13.

Unfortunately for Erika Jayne, some major legal troubles came to light smack dab in the middle of filming for this eleventh season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Supposedly, though, the main showdown of the reunion isn’t Erika Jayne going against co-star Sutton Stracke and others, but Jayne versus Andy Cohen himself. According to HollywoodLife:

Technically, it’s unprecedented for Andy Cohen to be exclusively “fighting” with one particular Real Housewives star at a reunion, since he's usually more of a mediator. Sure, he’ll spar with them in good, shady fun, which Real Housewives of Atlanta’s Kenya Moore knows all too well, but there is a line that tends to go uncrossed. Cohen is executive producer of the franchise and effectively their boss, so for Erika Jayne to allegedly take it to the next level at the upcoming Beverly Hills reunion doesn’t bode well. There was already speculation amongst fans saying that Jayne wouldn’t be brought back anyway, given her once-touted lavish lifestyle is seemingly no more. But pissing off the person in charge can't help.

More than likely, the alleged “fighting” going on could pertain to Andy Cohen having to ask Erika Jayne some hard questions surrounding her alleged involvement in Tom Girardi’s affairs. He did as much for both RHNJ’s Teresa Giudice and RHNY’s Luann de Lesseps following their public arrests. But according to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills co-star Lisa Rinna, Jayne had a huge blow-up with a Bravo producer this season (which was edited out of an episode), as the producer allegedly attempted to goad her into discussing her ex-husband and their issues on multiple occasions. There's a chance the reality TV star was feeling unduly backed into a corner yet again at the reunion.

Erika Jayne has, in fact, had several big emotional reactions to her co-stars’ questions on this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She didn't like Garcelle Beauvais asking her to rehash details about her marriage. And she really didn't take to Sutton Stracke’s insinuations that she was lying, nor Dorit Kemsley’s vocal worries about how legal matters might affect the cast.

But Erika Jayne should take heed of her position. Bravo cut Braunwyn Windham-Burke loose without a second thought. And that was after she was transparent about major life concerns during her final Real Housewives of Orange County season, and in the face of fans' continued hopes that her storyline would continue.

High profile L.A. lawyer Tom Girardi, who partly inspired the film Erin Brockovich, is embroiled in some serious legal troubles. Not only has he been accused of embezzling millions of dollars from creditors and clients, but his Girardi & Keese law firm is under a Chapter 7 bankruptcy investigation and he himself has been disbarred. In his first public statement since the ordeal began, Girardi seemingly indicated that his wife of 20 years, Erika Jayne, knew what was going on. The revelation comes as a shock after seeing Erika Jayne defend Girardi as recently as the latest episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which she has starred in for the past six seasons.

Tom Girardi, 82, was caught in the crosshairs of paparazzi recently after leaving a lunch with friends (via Page Six). They asked him if his wife Erika Jayne, who filed for divorce in November 2020, knew anything about his legal and financial issues of late. Girardi only shared,

Now technically, Tom Girardi has been diagnosed with dementia in the wake of all his legal problems. He has even been put under a conservatorship, controlled by his brother Robert, and has been admitted into an assisted living care facility. So his statement about Erika Jayne could be easily misunderstood. But if he's claiming that she knew about the financial situation before it became public knowledge, then that directly contrasts Erika Jayne's defense of Girardi and herself on this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

In the latest episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which aired just prior to Tom Girardi's claims, Erika Jayne was actually defending her husband somewhat. She shared with the other ladies that the decision to move Girardi into assisted living was because his family didn’t want “the stain” or “the public scrutiny” of his mental state. Erika Jayne stated on the show,

Erika Jayne has been adamant throughout this season on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she knew nothing about Tom Girardi's business affairs and had no involvement in his alleged crimes. But a host of others, now including Girardi himself, have insinuated otherwise.

The lawyer for the trustee in the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case has suggested that there is evidence that Erika Jayne had some culpability, which is why she was sued recently for more than $25 million. Also, Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel shared that she knew years ago about Tom Girardi's alleged misdealings and she even told an employee of Erika Jayne’s, as well as Andy Cohen. Erika Jayne’s own former co-star Camille Grammer shared on Twitter that she had heard rumors about the Girardis in 2019.

The list of people who contradict Erika Jayne's account of events only seems to be growing. Hopefully the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ reunion won’t be cancelled like New York’s – because Andy Cohen needs to ask the questions we’re all wondering.

Throughout her eight-season tenure on Real Housewives of New York, Bethenny Frankel created a very concrete persona around blunt honesty. As Luann de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer know all too well, Frankel doesn't mince words, even for friends. Neither for Real Housewives franchise alums, it would seem. She left the show that brought her notoriety for bigger and better waters, but she still apparently has time to read Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Erika Jayne. Frankel, true to form, flat-out claimed that Erika Jayne and her husband Tom Girardi’s financial problems were actually known a long time ago.

It’s curious because the general public has only known about Tom Girardi's issues – which include his law firm allegedly being in over $100 million of debt – since late last year. In the intervening months, his wife Erika Jayne has also been embroiled in the legal drama and even been sued for funds she reportedly used that she knew were stolen. Erika Jayne has denied knowledge or involvement in the supposed crimes on the currently airing season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Real Housewives of New York alum Bethenny Frankel claims otherwise. On a recent episode of her podcast, Frankel stated that she got information about the Girardis through her late ex-fiancé Dennis Shields:

Apparently, others beside Dennis Shields knew about what was going on. Bethenny Frankel revealed that she had a conversation with Shields and an unnamed “billionaire lawyer” about Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi’s lavish lifestyle. The lawyer reportedly was shocked by how much was spent on Erika Jayne’s notorious glam squad because he supposedly knew Girardi owed money and was “being sued by everybody.” Frankel stated that she relayed the information to Erika Jayne’s makeup artist and even Real Housewives executive producer and host Andy Cohen at the time.

The Real Housewives of New York star has in fact claimed it was a “well-known secret” in the world of lawyers. Yet Bravo fans wouldn’t know it until last December when the allegations came out. Bethenny Frankel had never spoken publicly about her knowledge before, not even when she appeared briefly alongside Erika Jayne in a previous season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. But Frankel indicated that she is used to Erika Jayne’s type, saying,

On this season of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Erika Jayne has been adamant that she didn't know about Tom Girardi's financial woes before filing for divorce. However, she did allege that after a car accident in 2017, she noticed Girardi having a “mental decline.” Her costars, notably Sutton Stracke, don't seem to believe her telling of events, the latest of which features Girardi fighting off a burglar at their house and her son flipping his car five or six times afterward.

Bethenny Frankel’s testimony marks the first time that someone has provided some kind of indication that Erika Jayne might have known about Tom Girardi's problems way before she's been saying. If true, it is possible that Erika Jayne’s troubles might get worse.

Two of the biggest stars in the Real Housewives Universe are in a lot of legal trouble. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne has been implicated in her husband's multi-million-dollar embezzlement allegations since the end of 2020. Then, in March of this year, Real Housewives of Salt Lake City's Jen Shah was arrested and charged for allegedly being the queen pin of a bicoastal telemarketing scheme. But apparently, Shah has a bit of sarcasm for their seemingly similar problems.

The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star posted a meme concerning her and Erika Jayne on her Instagram stories (via Page Six) that has since been deleted. In it, the now-iconic mascara-running image of Erika Jayne from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is side-by-side with her line from the latest episode, where she said to her co-stars, “Look at me. Look at my fucking life.” Jen Shah’s image is accompanied below it with, “BRB, hold my drink.” It would seem that Shah thinks her legal problems are much bigger than Erika Jayne’s.

This isn't the first time Jen Shah has joked about her federal charges. Only a few weeks after her arrest, the reality TV star was reposting fan-made “Free Jen” merch on social media. Erika Jayne – who recently went on a Twitter rampage concerning the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills dinner party that the meme addresses – has yet to speak on Shah’s legal problems.

Now, the trustee of the Chapter 7 bankruptcy case is moving forward against the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star by actually suing her in court.

In court documents obtained by Page Six, it was revealed that the trustee in the bankruptcy case is suing Erika Jayne for the alleged amount she received from Tom Girardi’s law firm to finance her businesses. The sum is reportedly more than $25 million, and the suit is asking for that and interest as well. The lawsuit also stipulated that it would be a “miscarriage of justice” for Erika Jayne to not pay the amount. It continued:

A judge had ruled months prior to this that Erika Jayne had to turn over key financial documents in the bankruptcy case. It seems that the trustee finally obtained these documents. In its new lawsuit, the trustee alleges that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star personally signed off on the financial documents, which include tax returns and various credit card slips, and was “well aware” of where the money she was receiving was coming from. The suit describes Erika Jayne's perspective on the matter as a “feigned willful blindness and ostrich approach.”

For her part, Erika Jayne has maintained publicly, and throughout the current season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, that she didn't know what husband Tom Girardi was allegedly up to. However, she has rationalized on the show that Girardi had suffered a “mental decline” in the past few years, with the implication that it might have caused the alleged misappropriated funds for creditors and clients to take place.

Ronald Richards is the trustee’s attorney in the bankruptcy case, who has also gone back and forth with Erika Jayne's legal team in the public eye on a few occasions. After news of the lawsuit against Erika Jayne broke, Richards stated to Page Six that the evidence against the reality star is “undeniable.” He also said:

Court documents from earlier this week, obtained by Radar Online, revealed that Tom Girardi is in over $101 million of debt. He and his team are in fact in the process of auctioning off several valuable assets – one item being some lingerie that reportedly did not belong to Erika Jayne.

Page Six obtained a legal demand letter from the bankruptcy trustee's lawyers sent to Erika Jayne's attorneys that stipulated her supposed spending at the time of Tom Girardi’s alleged crimes. In it, they state that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star spent more than $25 million in funds transferred from the Girardi Keese law firm to her personal company, EJ Global LLC. According to the documents, since 2008, Erika Jayne allegedly spent $14,259,012.84 with her American Express card, $1,532,774.88 on the McDonald Selznick Associates Agency and unknown expenses totaling $1,417,587.50. Smaller figures were supposedly sent to assistants, glam teams and publicity.

Erika Jayne has denied involvement in her soon-to-be ex-husband Tom Girardi’s alleged crimes. However, the trustee’s lawyers in the bankruptcy case have continued to claim otherwise. In the past, they alluded to Erika Jayne receiving over $25 million in loans and luxury items from Girardi Keese as a means to hide assets. The new document seems to be stating exactly what those reported funds were spent on. As to whether it would have been intentional or not on Erika Jayne’s part, bankruptcy trustee attorney Ronald Richards told Page Six:

Ronald Richards is seemingly referring to the August 18 episode of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Erika Jayne was, in fact, questioned by her castmates about her prior knowledge of Tom Girardi’s actions. She responded that she was “kept away from the books” and that “no one knows the answers but him.” She also said,

Their source alleges that they aren't Erika Jayne’s and she, as a matter of fact, has no idea where they came from. After the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared on an episode that Girardi has cheated on her in the past, many are speculating that the delicates in question might belong to a third party.

According to court documents obtained by The Los Angeles Times, Tom Girardi reportedly owes more than $56 million in misplaced funds. (Erika Jayne has been accused of owing near $25 million, due to the loans and items she received from the Girardi Keese law firm.) That’s a lot of zeroes that, likely, lingerie of unknown origin can’t cover on its own.

But the auction also has furniture, office equipment and various memorabilia items up for grabs. US Weekly reported that even Erika Jayne’s autographed mementoes and 2009 Billboard plaque are available at the starting bid of $350. According to their source, all of the items were “seized,” and Erika Jayne had “no approval” over what stays and goes. They revealed:

Series star Garcelle Beauvais brought up some personal information about Erika Jayne to the entire group, which ultimately sent Jayne into a sobbing wreck. Somewhere amidst it all, though, a screaming match ensued between Jayne and a Bravo producer, a situation that apparently got left on the cutting room floor. Lisa Rinna made the allegation on her Instagram stories and said that she was going to “get in trouble” for sharing. She wrote (via US Weekly):

Now, why was Erika Jayne screaming at Bravo producers, you might ask? An insider for Page Six claims it was all over a private conversation caught on a hot mic, which Bravo then had to manufacture into a seamless storyline. Essentially, Erika Jayne had spoken to co-star Crystal Kung Minkoff privately about getting phone calls from ex Tom Girardi. The producers then asked Kung Minkoff to bring it up on camera and then Beauvais as well later on. Supposedly, Jayne was upset that she “took the bait.”

If true, the screaming fight with the producer obviously got cut from the latest episode because it would disrupt their hard-fought illusion that there is no influence on the storylines. Typically on The Real Housewives, fans will never actually see a producer unless things get physical (as it did recently between Sonja Morgan and Bershan Shaw). But nevertheless, the actual information that created all of the drama on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills is seemingly over something very small regardinng Tom Girardi. Erika Jayne had revealed in the episode:

Prior to that, while on the hike in La Quinta, Garcelle Beauvais had point-blank asked Erika Jayne if she had a heads up about the lawsuits against Tom Girardi that made her want to file for divorce. Jayne has been accused of as much publicly by prosecutors, who have insinuated that the divorce was a sham to further hide assets from victims in the cases. However, she flat-out denied the assumption to Beauvais. About the divorce, she said it was “a long time coming” and that Girardi’s personality had “completely changed.”

Tom Girardi’s cognitive decline is reportedly due to dementia. He has since been put under a conservatorship, with his brother as the conservator. The embezzlement and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases are still ongoing, though, and Radar Online has reported that producers will be handing over Erika Jayne’s unaired footage from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills to the court soon.

The development came on top of a judge ruling that Girardi’s victims could sue Erika Jayne for what they are owed.

Still, Erika Jayne apparently has an ally where Sutton Stracke is concerned. She said that she loves Erika Jayne and that the details in Wednesday’s episode were only “confusing” to her because there was so much going on. Namely, Erika Jayne revealed that Tom Girardi’s 2017 car accident left him unconscious for 12 hours, implying that he was not mentally well, and that he had cheated on her in the past.

It's interesting, though, that Sutton Stracke is seemingly on good terms with Erika Jayne, given the most recent teaser trailer for the rest of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season. From the looks of it, Stracke had called Erika Jayne a liar, which led Erika Jayne to “promise” that she would come after her.

The document also claims that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Erika Jayne “refused to return” the items and payments in question. Moreover, Ronald Richards requested that the judge in the case order Erika Jayne to pay the amount owed.

Erika Jayne was actually accused by the opposing counsel in the case of hiding assets prior to these new documents. The estimation was only at $20 million at that time. But the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, amidst trouble with her own lawyers, responded that she was not being uncooperative in the investigation.

The Ruigomez family cited the recent court documents from Tom Girardi’s Chapter 7 bankruptcy case that implicated Erika Jayne in the alleged crimes. Notably, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was said to have received more than $20 million in loans from Girardi’s law firm to her businesses, which might have been meant for settlement funds to victims and creditors.

Erika Jayne Changes Lawyers

Prior to the judge’s official ruling concerning the Ruigomez’s ability to sue Erika Jayne, another interesting twist happened. The reality star actually replaced one of her lawyers for the remainder of the case, according to court documents obtained by Fox News. Attorney Evan C. Borges will be taking over for Peter Mastan.

The change is most interesting because it comes only a few weeks after those original lawyers apparently dropped Erika Jayne as a client. Within the same week, the decision was reversed, but it led many to speculate about her lawyers’ perception of her innocence after the release of the ABC News Original special, The Housewife and the Hustler. Now, a new lawyer being brought on in the 11th hour, amid other shocking developments, sounds a little risky, not to mention even more confusing.

Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills Teases More About Erika Jayne’s Divorce

As the divorce and legal cases continue on, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Season 11 has been stealthily airing in the background. On the July 7 episode, Bravo teased a dramatic clip for next week. In it, Erika Jayne is seen crying and saying,

She calls it “insane” that she “never predicted this fucking shit,” and that “this is the end.” That was months ago, however, when the show was still filming. Lately, Erika Jayne has taken to social media to continue to put on her signature brave face:

They call Erika Jayne an “Ice Queen” for a reason on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. (Mostly because it's so hard to get a gauge on how she feels about others.) But, if these wild events of the past week have proven anything, it's that the reality star’s ice is perhaps melting.

One of Erika Jayne's old taglines on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills used to be, “I'm an enigma wrapped in a riddle... and cash.” You can take Bravo taglines with a grain of salt, but it does give you some idea of the reality star’s once very glamorous persona and lifestyle. It's all changed in the course of the last few months, following embezzlement accusations levelled against her husband, Tom Girardi. However, amidst the intense legal scrutiny over her opulent lifestyle and possible role in the accusations, Erika Jayne decided to hop on a private jet.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star filed for divorce from Tom Girardi in November, just weeks before the high-profile lawyer was officially accused of embezzling money from his clients and creditors. Girardi's law firm was forced to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, and the currently ongoing case even called Erika Jayne’s innocence into question. Specifically, the special counsel involved claimed she was hiding assets meant for victims in order to fund her glam lifestyle. After which, The Daily Mail revealed pics of Erika Jayne happily about to board a private jet.

Her use of the private jet has sparked a bit of backlash online. Mostly because the move seems to directly contrast Erika Jayne’s claims on the current season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which has suggested she lost mostly everything when she left Tom Girardi. She was shown moving into a substantially smaller rental home and bringing just her clothes and jewelry with her. So it confuses some spectators as to how she still manages the money to fly private.

Perhaps, Erika Jayne can afford to fly private jets thanks to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills pay or whatever residuals and/or events from her music career. But according to Ronald Richards (special counsel in the bankruptcy case), Erika Jayne’s lifestyle assets are at the heart of the investigation. Supposedly, the glamorous clothes and jewelry she's been selling off and the more than $20 million in loans from Tom Girardi’s law firm are indications to those close to the case that she knew about the alleged criminal acts more than she's letting on. In her response through her legal team, Erika Jayne purported to be “cooperative” and asked that Richards’ position be reconsidered.

The private jet flight occurred only a few days after Erika Jayne suffered a serious blow in court. The judge in the bankruptcy case granted the special counsel's motion and ordered Erika Jayne’s divorce lawyer, accountant, and landlord to turn over any “key financial documents.”

The backlash over Erika Jayne’s private jet usage also comes less than two weeks after a different kind of backlash. Then, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and Broadway performer was ridiculed for being decidedly unglamorous while she was spotted pumping gas in her car. She responded to the hoopla on Twitter, simply saying:

Erika Jayne certainly knows how to keep her cool, both on and off the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. However, following the backlash, it remains to be seen if the reality star will continue to use private jets and other amenities as the legal case progresses.

Allegations have continued to swirl around Erika Jayne, as the embezzlement and bankruptcy cases facing her husband, Tom Girardi, continue to unfold. She filed for divorce from him last November after 22 years of marriage, but many still speculate that she knew or had some involvement in Girardi’s supposed criminal activities. It seems the courts have similar concerns. The most recent update about the ongoing legal case indicates that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star suffered a loss of faith where her innocence is concerned.

Previously, several motions were filed against Erika Jayne by the petitioning creditors in her husband's bankruptcy case. Not only did they allege she had some involvement in the embezzlement of Tom Girardi's clients and creditors, but they demanded that she turn over “key financial documents” for the investigation. According to documents obtained by People, the judge ruled in the creditors’ favor on Monday and ordered the reality star’s accountant, divorce lawyer and landlord to provide the documents in question. These documents can include bank statements, pay stubs, as well as any financial emails or text messages.

The judge’s decision is certainly a blow to Erika Jayne amidst the legal proceedings. Following the initial motions by creditors, her legal team asserted that Jayne “has been and remains willing” to be cooperative. Now, it seems she is legally mandated to do so as well.

At the same time, Erika Jayne's legal team had also responded to the accusations in the motions by requesting the special counsel's position to be reconsidered. It seems the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star and her team were questioning the current special counsel, Ronald Richards, and his ability to be objective due to a “false and inflammatory” public post by him. Jayne's team said their client is “not a media fiction” but in fact “a real person with rights.” Richards is still providing updates on the case as special counsel via his Twitter account, so it would appear as though Erika Jayne's request has been either ignored or denied.

This isn't the only loss Erika Jayne has faced so far in this case. It was reported that she also appeared to have been dropped by her own lawyers for a few days, before they ultimately reversed the decision. Special counsel Ronald Richards had speculated to an online commentator that the reversal was “probably” because she found money to pay them.

In the motions filed against her, Erika Jayne is accused of receiving loan payments in the figures of more than $20 million from her husband's law firm. They also allege that the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum has been selling off her expensive clothes and jewelry in an effort to hide assets owed to Tom Girardi’s clients and creditors.

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, drama usually doesn't go further than petty squabbles among supposed friends. But the current season is going full Real Housewives of New Jersey's Teresa Giudice. Erika Jayne is telling her side of the story, as much as she legally can. And as she tells it, she only decided to divorce Tom Girardi after he apparently shut down and wouldn't speak to her much. As of yet, the reality show hasn't caught up with the accusations of Tom Girardi’s law firm allegedly embezzling the likes of “widows and orphans” that were owed money for a plane crash settlement.
