Kaitlin Olson is getting candid about a tough time she’s going through right now. The beloved actress and comedian recently revealed that her father passed away, and she got candid about how she was handling the situation. As Olson honored her late papa, her husband, Rob Mac, also provided some words of support. Mac wasn’t alone in showing Olson love, either, as a host of other celebrities, including Eva Longoria and Ike Barinholtz, also reached out.

Earlier this week, Olson specifically took to Instagram to discuss the passing of her father, Donald Lee Olson. The beloved High Potential star didn’t hold back about feeling “a little gross” to be sharing the news on social media. However, she also opined that nothing would feel “more wrong than to just move on with life as if the worst thing in the world didn’t happen.” From there, Kaitlin also opened up about her bond with her dad and sharing their last moments together. Those are truly sweet words, and they firmly encapsulate the feelings of someone who’s both mourning a parent but also feeling gratitude over having had them in their life. Additionally, the tribute from Rob Mac (formerly known as Rob McElhenney) is also very sentimental. Mac took to the comments of his wife’s post and shared these thoughts on his late father-in-law:

Mac and Olson began dating around 2006, at which point they were working on the second season of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and they got married in 2008. While Olson and Mac usually troll each other in humorous ways, it’s also lovely whenever they show genuine support for one another in certain situations. Of course, in a situation like this one, it’s also sweet to see so many fellow actors reach out to extend their support. Right now, Olson remains quite busy from a professional standpoint, as she’s flip-flopping between working on High Potential and It’s Always Sunny. Her work aside, though, I sincerely hope Olson has the time she needs to mourn her father alongside her loved ones. It’s also easy to imagine that as she does so, Rob Mac will be by her side, while celebrities and fans alike show their support as well.

For the past couple of years, Kim Kardashian has been working her way into the acting business. Following her debut on American Horror Story: Delicate, she signed on as the star of another Ryan Murphy joint, All’s Fair, which has earned a second season despite being absolutely lambasted by critics. Given the dramatics of what we’ve seen from her so far, I wasn’t expecting her next move to be straight comedy — “unapologetically R-rated,” at that — but Eva Longoria has me hyped.

Kim Kardashian signed onto The Fifth Wheel as its star and producer back in November 2023, and at long last we finally have some details about the movie, which will be available with a Netflix subscription at a date yet to be determined. Eva Longoria provided an update on her sophomore directorial effort, telling People:

Kim Kardashian and her fellow fictional attorneys get pretty raunchy on All’s Fair, so it’s not too big of a surprise that the mom of four is fine with that hard R-rating on The Fifth Wheel. The comedy of it all may be more unexpected, because between the drama of her real life on The Kardashians and the projects we’ve seen her in thus far, we’re not exactly clocking the laughs-per-minute.

However, between her Saturday Night Live monologue that roasted her family, her comedic timing at The Roast of Tom Brady (delivering zingers whilst getting booed, no less) and the way she can make fun of herself on social media, I feel pretty good about what they’re all cooking up. Eva Longoria is all in on her longtime pal, saying:

Eva Longoria called the project “really special” because of all of the women involved. Paula Pell and Janine Brito wrote the screenplay, and in addition to Kim Kardashian, The Fifth Wheel stars Nikki Glaser, Brenda Song and Fortune Feimster.

The plot sees three high school best friends attempting to reconnect on a weekend trip to Las Vegas. When a hot outsider (Kim Kardashian) crashes the party, according to the logline, they’re forced to face the truth of their messy lives, bad decisions and unraveling friendships.

It sounds like there will be plenty of drama after all! We’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the Netflix schedule for a premiere date, but in the meantime you can keep up with Kim and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner family by streaming The Kardashians with a Hulu subscription.

Every streaming service has a handful of megahits, and Only Murders in the Building is definitely one of Hulu's best shows to binge watch. The Emmy-nominated series recently returned for a new season for those with a Hulu subscription, and Season 5 has already been lots of fun. But, did the show just drop the movie storyline featuring Eva Longoria?

Only Murders in the Building Season 5 has been a fun ride so far, with the big mystery surrounding the death of Arconia doorman Lester Coluca. While the season picks up immediately after the Season 4 finale, we've only gotten a reference or two to the fictional movie based off of the fictional podcast. Are we expected to believe it's all going on without a hitch in the midst of yet another murder?

Did Only Murders Just Drop The Movie Plot?

While Season 3 of Only Murders focused on the world of Broadway, the fourth season took the trio of leading characters straight to Hollywood. That's where we learned our heroes were going to be played by Eva Longoria, Eugene Levy, and Zach Galifianakis, with those actors hilariously playing fictionalized versions of themselves. This was a great running bit throughout Season 4, especially when factoring in Molly Shannon's character, Bev Melon, as the producer.

Unfortunately, the first few episodes of Only Murders in the Building Season 5 didn't really address the ongoing questions about that movie. While Mabel mentions it to Beanie Feldstein's Althea, that's basically the only moment it was acknowledged. Instead our trio of heroes have been primarily focused on finding out who killed Lester. Obviously that's the main objective of the new batch of episodes, but I'd like a little more connective tissue with last season, since there's no time jump.

While I'd love to see Longoria return as herself alongside Levy and Galifianakis, I understand that Only Murders probably doesn't have an unlimited budget with its guest stars. I'd settle for seeing the billboards or simply more references to what's happening with the movie that took up so much narrative real estate last season. Is that project actually going to make it to theaters, therefore turning our trio of heroes into household names? Or could it end up being scrapped? Either way I need a nice bow tied onto this particular plot line.

There's been no indication we're going to see those special guest stars, although fans are expecting familiar faces like Meryl Streep and Paul Rudd to have a role in Season 5. Maybe the return of Streep's Loretta Durkin will offer a much needed update about the fictional movie.

Only Murders in the Building airs new episodes Tuesdays on Hulu as part of the 2025 TV schedule. The mystery/comedy is known for its plot twists, so it feels like just about anything could happen in the future.

There are many reboots and revivals happening these days, and it’s always a question of what could be next. Considering Desperate Housewives has surprisingly aged so well, could fans ever revisit Wisteria Lane in the future? Teri Hatcher previously shared her reboot thoughts, pointing out that it wouldn’t make sense for her character, Susan, after the show killed off the love of her life. Now, co-star Eva Longoria shared her own hilarious take on a possible new series.

Longoria portrayed Gabrielle Solis on all eight seasons of the ABC mystery dramedy, and even though she and the Desperate Housewives cast are pretty busy these days, that isn’t stopping her interest in a potential return. She’s previously expressed her interest in doing a reboot, but while guesting on Watch What Happens Live, the actress shared her thoughts on what her character would certainly not be doing, and I'm amused that this was one of the first things that came to her mind:

She certainly doesn’t give Gabby enough credit, especially since so much would have definitely changed since the show’s finale in 2012. You can't tell me every single person on that street would still be living there without anyone moving. But it’s still hilarious to think about. As well, it gives fans perspective for what Desperate Housewives’ run was like for the actress.

That being said, on top of Gabby perhaps needing a new social activity, Longoria admitted that creator Marc Cherry would be the hardest to convince to get a revival going. Alas, her reasoning makes sense.

Desperate Housewives managed to give audiences a pretty good ending, which isn't always a guarantee for shows that last so long. Even despite some backstage drama involving Nicolette Sheridan's numerous claims against Cherry, including assault, wrongful termination, and battery, the spicy drama still remains a favorite among fans. Whether or not it will ever actually make a comeback is unknown, but it wouldn’t be too surprising, especially considering it once topped TV ratings for a year. But Cherry will likely need to hear an undeniably amazing idea to make an about face..

If Desperate Housewives were to return, it sounds like Eva Longoria would want to switch things up for Gabby, and I can’t say I blame her. The series ended with Gabby starting her own online shopper company with the help of Carlos, and getting her own show on the Home Shopping Network, leading the couple to move to a mansion in Los Angeles. It would be interesting to see what she’s up to after all these years and how much she has changed.

Even if Desperate Housewives doesn’t get a reboot in the future, fans can always watch it with a Hulu subscription. Plus, it’s one of many shows like Pretty Little Liars, so there are plenty of other series to become obsessed with once that binge is over. Perhaps a return to Wisteria Lane will happen at some point, since you never know what could happen.

Authenticity in storytelling isn’t just about the script—it’s about the people who bring it to life. In Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip, stars Eva Longoria and Jesse Garcia praise the director for capturing the heart and soul of Latino heritage. And as someone who grew up immersed in that culture, watching it felt like coming home.

As part of the 2025 movie schedule, the new family film was released on Disney+ at the very end of March. One of the best aspects was its constant references to modern-day Latino culture. When I asked how they came about making this, both stars said that it was all thanks to the director, Marvin Lemus, and that every decision was very thought out – even the music that the family listens to. As Longoria said:

It’s no surprise that Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip nails its cultural authenticity. Lemus, who co-created and wrote Gentefied, brought modern Latino culture to the screen in a way that felt real. Though Netflix may have canceled it far too soon (it's still annoying), one thing is clear: Lemus has an undeniable passion for his heritage, and that passion shines through in this new film.

As someone who grew up in a Latino household, I’ve spent years searching for the best Latino TV shows and movies that truly reflect the culture I love. While today’s landscape offers more representation, I can’t help but wish Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip had existed when I was a kid. It fully embraces Latino culture—not just in broad strokes, but in the small, everyday moments that feel straight out of my own family gatherings.

From the mention of chicharrón to those intense handshakes with relatives, from spooky ancestral stories to the chaotic warmth of family life, the film captures so much. Watching it felt like stepping into a memory from my childhood, filled with laughter, love, and the kind of generational quirks that only a Latino family would understand.

Honestly, after watching, I felt the urge to revisit the movies and shows that shaped me. Or maybe I'll just call my dad and tell him I love him—for the way he raised me, for the culture he passed down. Or maybe it’s time for yet another Coco rewatch. Heck, at this rate, I think I just need to take a day to go and grab some great Latino food and have a whole marathon.

Either way, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Road Trip delivers a heartfelt and hilarious take on the Mexican-American experience. And trust me—you’ll be craving some chicharrón by the end. If you haven’t seen it yet, grab a Disney+ subscription and make it a family movie night.

While there's always a ton of TV shows on the air at any point, certain titles manage to rise to the top and become bonafide sensations. Desperate Housewives was one of those shows, becoming wildly popular and inspiring Bravo's Real Housewives series (which is streaming with a Peacock subscription). I've been rewatching the show with my Hulu subscription, and I've got to say I'm really loving it the second time around. Seriously, it holds up!

As a kid, I watched Desperate Housewives during its original run on TV, but I stopped sometime after a hurricane tore through Wisteria Lane. I wasn't sure if the early aughts humor would translate nowadays, but it definitely does. And every episode I'm impressed by just how strong the performances from the Desperate Housewives cast are.

While Desperate Housewives has plenty of high stakes drama and dramatic twists (I mean, it literally opens on a suicide), the show is largely a dark comedy. And the four starring women, as well as Nicolette Sheridan's Edie Britt, are firing on all cylinders while embodying their characters' specific quirks. But if there are two performances that have been especially wowing me as I re-watch the series, it's been Teri Hatcher and Eva Longoria.

Desperate Housewives was a star-making moment for Eva Longoria, who recently appeared in Only Murders in the Building. Gabrielle Solis is a constant scene-stealer, with Longoria finding a way to make her endlessly likable despite the character's vain and self-centered tendencies.

While Teri Hatcher doesn't seem like she wants a reboot, I can't imagine the show without her. She does pretty outstanding physical comedy as Susan Mayer, going through countless pratfalls and shenanigans amidst the high stakes drama of the Wisteria Lane. Although back in 2018 Hatcher expressed interest in returning, so maybe there's hope she'll change her mind.

Since I watched the show's original run for years, there are certain events and plot points that I remember. For instance, Gabrielle's affair with John the Gardener or the episode where Laurie Metcalf is a shooter in a grocery store. But there's also a lot I don't remember, and jokes that probably went over my head as a young person watching the series with my family.

Desperate Housewives really does have such a unique tone, which is also why I've been binge watching for my second viewing. From Danny Elfman's iconic theme song to the production design, the show is equal parts camp and drama. And so while the cast are all comedic forces, they also get to have some moving scenes as well when things go wrong or the titular Wives.

Only time will tell if a Desperate Housewives reboot happens, but fans shouldn't expect for it to pop up on the 2025 TV premiere list. For now, the original series is streaming on Hulu.

The first Wahlburgers opened in Hingham, Massachusetts in 2011. The chain has since grown to dozens of stores all over the country and was the subject of a reality show for 10 seasons on A&E. The chain is collectively owned by three Wahlbergs, including Mark and Donnie, along with their chef brother, Paul. 

Ryan Gosling - Tagline

Ryan Gosling has become one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, and so it makes sense he would open a restaurant in Beverly Hills. Co-owned by the Barbie star and Chef Ben Benameur, the Moroccan joint serves up delicious food in a cozy atmosphere.

Lady Gaga - Joanne Trattoria

Joanne Germanotta was a beloved aunt to Lady Gaga (whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta). Not only did Gaga name a 2016 album after her, but the family has also opened Joanne Trattoria on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. In true Gaga style, the restaurant is not only a great place for Italian food, but it supports local artists, hosts regular drag shows, and has regular performances by local musicians. 

Robert De Niro - Nobu

Robert De Niro first became a regular at chef Nobu Matsuhisa's LA sushi joint Nobu way back in the 1980s. In the mid-90s, De Niro approached Matsuhisa about opening a New York spot. Nobu opened in 1994 in Tribeca and the company has since become a powerhouse in the hospitality industry, with dozens of restaurants and hotels all over the world. 

Michael Imperioli - Scarlet

White Lotus star Michael Imperioli has dabbled in the restaurant industry for a long time. In the mid-'90s Imperioli and his wife opened a speakeasy-style bar called Ciel Rouge, in Tribeca. Almost 30 years later, and 20 after Ciel Rouge closed in 2005, the couple opened Scarlet on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. It sticks with the classy, chill speakeasy vibe that made their first venture successful. 

Sandra Bullock - Walton's Fancy & Staple

Walton's Fancy & Staple in Austin, TX, is pretty much exactly what you would expect from Sandra Bullock. It's an upscale neighborhood place with hearty food and a cheery atmosphere. Walton's is the Speed star's second restaurant in her adopted hometown. The first, Bess Bistro, closed in 2016 after a successful 10-year run. Walton's opened in 2009. 

Ludacris - Chicken And Beer

Is there anything better than good fried chicken and great beer to wash it down? If you're in Atlanta and don't check out Ludacris' place, simply named Chicken and Beer, you're missing out on those two wonderful things that pair so well together.

Norman Reedus - Nic & Norman's

Norman Reedus is famous for playing rough-around-the-edges characters like Daryl in The Walking Dead, but his restaurant is not. Nic & Norman's, which has locations across the Southeast is rustic, but it's not rough in any way. The upscale but relaxed gastropubs are sure to satisfy anyone. 

Susan Sarandon - SPiN

When Susan Sarandon and her fellow investors opened SPiN in 2009, there was a surge in the popularity of table tennis (or ping pong). The fad was pretty short-lived, but the table tennis-focused restaurants have remained successful with multiple locations around the country. 

Dan Aykroyd - House Of Blues

One of Dan Aykroyd's most beloved SNL characters, Elwood Blues of The Blues Brothers, has proven to be more than just a role for the actor. On Thanksgiving Day 1992, Aykroyd and his partner Isaac Tigrett (who founded the Hard Rock Cafe), opened the first House of Blues in Cambridge, MA. It has since grown into one of the largest chains of live music venues in the world, and serves some pretty delicious food, too. 

Eva Longoria - Beso

Eva Longoria can do no wrong on the big and small screens, but she didn't have much luck in the restaurant industry. Her steakhouse in LA, Beso, ran into multiple problems in its short run, though none were the fault of the actress. 

Kevin Hart - Hart House

Kevin Hart's LA chain Hart House was ambitious. He wanted to create an affordable vegan chain, and despite rave reviews, it just couldn't make it in the market. The company closed all of its locations in 2024 after initially finding success. 

Issa Rae - Hilltop Coffee And Kitchen

Issa Rae is a true force of nature both in front of and behind the camera. She's also found success in the food industry. Hilltop Coffee And Kitchen brings high-end coffee vibes to historical Black neighborhoods in LA, like Inglewood and View Park. 

Danny Trejo - Trejo's Tacos

Everyone loves tacos and every loves Danny Trejo. So of course a concept like Trejo's Tacos is sure to work and it has succeeded greatly. The chain has multiple locations across LA and has even spawned a second concept: Trejo's Donuts which also opened to rave reviews. 

Channing Tatum - Saints And Sinners

Saints And Sinners, a bar on Bourbon Street in New Orleans co-owned by Channing Tatum was a wild success... at least for a time. The industry is notoriously fickle and Tatum and his partners learned that the hard way when the bar closed in the summer of 2024 after 12 great years. 

Justin Timberlake - The Twelve Thirty Club

Justin Timberlake first dabbled in the food industry in the early teens when he helped design a Memphis-style BBQ joint in New York City called Southern Hospitality. Though he wasn't an owner, he was involved in the concept phase of the place and was a regular there. More recently, he has teamed up with restauranteur Sam Fox to open The Twelve Thirty Club in Nashville. 

Nicholas Braun - Jac’s On Bond

Cousin Greg may not always get the most respect on Succession, but the actor who plays him, Nicholas Braun, sure gets respect in the hospitality industry. Braun is an investor in multiple restaurants in New York City, including a chill bar and restaurant called Jac's on Bond Street in the trendy NoHo neighborhood. 

Zach Braff - Mermaid Oyster Bar

MacDougal Street in New York's Greenwich Village is home to some great restaurants, like the legendary Caffe Reggio and Mamoun's Falafels. It's also where you can find Zach Braff's more upscale, but still laid-back seafood spot appropriately called Mermaid Oyster Bar. 

Anthony Mackie - NoBar

Like others on this list (and in the world), Anthony Mackie has had mixed results as a bar/restaurant owner. His most famous spot, NoBar, opened in Brooklyn in 2011, followed by a second Booklyn location in 2013. Sadly both closed in 2015. 

Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis - Planet Hollywood

The granddaddy of all actor-owned restaurants has to be Planet Hollywood. The first Planet Hollywood opened in New York City in 1991. Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Bruce Willis, among others, were all investors in the concept and, at least at first, the restaurant was a huge success, opening additional locations across the globe. At its peak, there were upwards of 60 locations in the late '90s, but the fun didn't last. Things started to unravel and the stars started to jump shit and most of the locations, other than their most successful ones, closed. 

Richard Gere - Bedford Post Inn

Legendary actor Richard Gere doesn't just own a restaurant, he owns an 8-room bed and breakfast called the Bedford Post Inn in... appropriately, Bedford, NY. The stylish and quaint inn does include a spot to eat, the Bedford Post Tavern, and the inn and the restaurant both draw all kinds of celebrities for a restful stay or a delicious dinner. 

Robert Redford - Zoom

It shouldn't come as any surprise to learn that Robert Redford's former restaurant in Park City, UT was home to a lot of home to a lot powerbrokers during the Sundance Film Festival for many years. Prior to closing in 2016, the hot spot was where the elite met to eat and strike deals during one of the biggest film festivals in the world. 

Hugh Jackman - Laughing Man Coffee

The origin story for Hugh Jackman's Laughing Man Coffee is one of the best on this list. The Aussie actor and his wife took a trip to Ethiopia to learn more about coffee and how the beans were grown. There, according to the coffee shop's website, Jackman met a coffee farmer named Dukale. Dukale gave Jackman a real hands-on experience and after the trip, he and some partners opened Laughing Man Coffee with the goal of working directly with farmers around the world to bring their coffee to New Yorkers. 

Jon Bon Jovi - Soul Kitchen And JBJ's

Jon Bon Jovi may be most famous for being the voice of the band named after him, but he's dabbled a lot in acting, and a little in the hospitality biz. His first venture was started by his foundation and called Soul Kitchen. The restaurant, located in Red Bank, NJ, sells food for whatever hungry customers can afford. Bon Jovi has also opened a spot on the famous Broadway strip in Nashville called JBJ's which features live music and a full menu, in addition to beer and booze, of course.

Piper Perabo - Jack's Wife Freda

Piper Perabo got her big break playing a bartender in Coyote Ugly and while the New York City chain she's an investor in, called Jack's Wife Frida, doesn't feature half-dressed women dancing on the bar, it's got something even better: delicious Mediterranean food. With five locations across the city, you can always find what you're craving, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. 

Jessica Biel - Au Fudge

Au Fudge, which closed its doors in 2018, was something unique in the celebrity restaurant world - a kid's restaurant. As the name implies, Jessica Biel's spot was all about dessert and candy. It also had all the stuff kids love, like chicken fingers, on the menu. The world needs more of these, right parents?

Debi Mazar - The Tuscan Gun

Debi Mazar and her chef husband's love of food was first shown through a cooking show on the Cooking Channel. They spun that into a Tuscany-themed New York restaurant called The Tuscan Gun. Using chef Mazar's husband Gabriele Corcos' recipes, the Italian joint brought the best of Italy to Williamsburg. 

Quentin Tarantino - Do Hwa

For years, Quentin Tarantino's Korean restaurant Do Hwa brought the delicious flavors of East Asia to the West Village in New York. While very few people would call Tarantino "understated," his restaurant was, in all the best ways. It was cozy and delicious before it closed in 2018.

Jerry Ferrara - Fat Sal's

A sandwich joint called Fat Sal's is just perfect for Entourage star Jerry Ferrara. It sounds exactly like something Turtle would open on the show. Fat Sal's has multiple locations around LA and is a great spot if you want traditional deli sandwiches sold by a guy you can be sure loves them as much as you do. 

Justin Theroux - Ray's

Justin Theroux is a jack of all trades. He's an actor, a writer, and an ex-husband to Jennifer Aniston. He's also a bar owner, along with partner Nicolaus Braun with Ray's on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The dive bar is everything you could ever want in an unpretentious local water hole, which is no surprise, coming from Theroux. 

Ashton Kutcher - Dolce Enoteca E Ristorante

Ashton Kutcher has never been afraid to make risky investments. Some have paid off handsomely, like his early investments in Spotify and Uber. Others haven't worked out so well, like his short-lived Italian spot, Dolce Enoteca E Ristorante. The hot spot worked for a while but it closed in 2020, like so many other restaurants. 

Ty Burrell - The Eating Establishment

Modern Family star Ty Burrell took a slightly different route to restaurant ownership than most of the other actors on his list. Instead of starting a new spot, he bought an old one. The Eating Establishment, which dates back to 1970, was purchased by Burrell and other investors in 2016 and they've continued to run the popular Park City, UT restaurant ever since. 

Eminem - Mom's Spaghetti

Mom's Spaghetti is the perfect kind of place for Eminem to own, right? The Detroit, Michigan-based eatery has name that perfectly describes the food you can get there, and it's taken straight from an Eminem lyric in "Lose Yourself."

Jon Huertas - Clutch

Jon Huertas, best known for playing Brad Alcerro in Sabrina The Teenage Witch, is the proud owner of Clutch Roadhouse in Culver City, CA. Clutch is known for its great food and charitable works, both very important to the This Is Us star. 

Only Murders in the Building Season 4 is set to debut in roughly two months, so now’s the time we’ll start learning even more about what the next batch of episodes holds in store for people with a Hulu subscription. Admittedly, the Season 4 trailer did a good job of laying out what awaits Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam and Mabel Mora in their newest adventure, but there are still plenty of questions to be answered, like who many of the new faces in the Only Murders Season 4 cast are playing. Well, we can officially take three names out of that mystery pile, as it’s been revealed who Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis and Eva Longoria are playing, and their roles are brilliant.

If you’re like me and have been closely following long with news about Only Murders in the Building Season 4’s development, you’ve probably been wondering how many of the big-name actors are playing fictional versions of themselves. It’s a fair question to ask given that’s how Sting, Amy Schumer and Matthew Broderick were handled in past seasons. Well, that will indeed be the case for Levy, Galifianakis and Longoria, because they’ll respectively play Charles, Oliver and Mabel in the in-universe movie about the Only Murders podcast.

Whoever chose Levy, Galifianakis and Longoria to star in this world’s Only Murders movie deserves a raise, Sure, Longoria and Galifianakis are noticeably older/younger than Mabel and Oliver, respectively, but I have no doubt they’ll be able to give off the same vibes as these characters, just like Levi will surely do with Charles. On the other hand, maybe we’re in for a twist and these actors will end up playing the Only Murders protagonists pretty differently onscreen. After all, there have been plenty of times, both in fiction and real life, where a film production starts off remaining faithful to its source material, only to take a lot of creative liberties and become something completely different.

In any case, I’m looking forward to not just seeing how this world’s versions of Eugene Levy, Zach Galifianakis and Eva Longoria performs their newest roles, but also how they interact with Charles, Oliver and Mabel when the cameras aren’t rolling… the cameras on this fictional movie set, I mean. Other new actors who’ve come aboard for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 include Molly Shannon as an unnamed executive involved with the movie’s production, Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Kind, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Catherine Cohen, Jin Ha, Design Borges, Siena Werber and Lilian Rebelo. Meryl Streep, Michael Cyril Creighton and Da’Vine Joy Randolph will also be back to reprise their established characters.

If you happen to be a character living at the Arconia or even stepping foot in the affluent apartment building, God help you, because there’s a not-insignificant chance you could be murdered within its premises. But one character’s untimely demise each season makes for captivating TV in real life, as Only Murders in the Building has cemented itself as one of the best Hulu TV shows. Only Murders Season 4 is now in the works, with the mystery this time around focused on who gunned down Jane Lynch’s Sazz Pataki, who recurred in the first three seasons.

Hulu subscribers can look forward to Season 4 premiering on the 2024 TV schedule on August 27, with this new batch of episodes seeing the starring characters going to Los Angeles when a Hollywood studio wants to make a movie about their podcast. More importantly in this case, we do know who will be making up the cast for this next batch of episodes. So let’s go over which Only Murders in the Building cast members are returning for Season 4, and which new stars will be accompanying them.

Which Stars Are Returning From Past Seasons?

Steve Martin

As with the following two entries on this list, it’d be weird if Steve Martin didn’t return for Only Murders in the Building Season 4 considering he plays one of the main characters. That said, it’ll be especially important for Charles-Haden Savage to appear in Season 4 considering that not only was Sazz his longtime stunt double and they maintained a unique friendship, but she was killed in his apartment at the end of Only Murders Season 3. So naturally Charles has a personal stake in solving this mystery, though he’ll still need the help of his true crime aficionado cohorts to get to the bottom of what happened.

Martin Short

Martin Short’s Oliver Putnam is back in Broadway’s good graces following the successful opening of Death Rattle Dazzle in the Season 3 finale, and much of that was him substituting for the lead role at the last minute. It remains to be seen if we’ll see him tackle another Broadway production during Season 4, though even if that’s the case, needless to say we won’t spend as much time following the making of the new play given. It’s also important to mention that Only Murders Season 4 taking place partially in Los Angeles will allow him to reunite with someone we’ll talk about shortly.

Selena Gomez

We found out our main trio of characters with Selena Gomez’s Mabel Mora. Unlike Charles and Oliver though, Mabel no longer lives at the Arconia, as her aunt sold the apartment and she moved out in “CoBro.” It still hasn’t been revealed where Mabel is living now, but obviously she’ll still be spending plenty of time at the building spending time with her older friends as they attempt to solve Sazz’s murder. We also have yet to see if Mabel will maintain a long-distance relationship with Jesse William’s Tobert in Season 4 since he moved to Los Angeles, or if their time together is over.

Meryl Streep

Only Murders in the Building Season 3 saw Oliver Putnam forming a romantic relationship with Loretta Durkin, one of the actresses he cast for Death Rattle Dazzle. Although there was a period where it seemed like Loretta might have been Ben Glenroy’s killer, that fortunately wasn’t the case, and by the end of the season, she was preparing to head to Los Angeles with Jeremy Shamos’ Dickie, her biological son, to pursue new professional opportunities. Well, good news for those of you who enjoyed Meryl Streep’s latest small screen performance, as she’ll continue recurring as Loretta in Season 4. I’d like to think this means that she and Oliver are still together, though it’s hard to tell going off of just the Only Murders Season 4 trailer.

Michael Cyril Creighton

After being a recurring character in the first two seasons of Only Murders in the Building, Michael Cyril Creighton’s Howard Morris was upgraded to the main cast in Season 3. It’s unclear right now if he’ll retain that status in Season 4 or be bumped back down to recurring, but either way, Howard will be back! Season 3 saw him working as Oliver’s assistant during the making of Death Rattle Dazzle., and we also learned how he had acting aspirations in his younger years. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be traveling to Hollywood with Charles, Oliver and Mabel, so no auditions in Tinsel Town for him.

Da’Vine Joy Randolph

Every case in Only Murders in the Building has involved Detective Donna Williams in one form or another, and that won’t be changing in Season 4. While we don’t know yet if Da’Vine Joy Randolph’s character will be first on the scene to investigate Sazz Pataki’s death or if she’ll come into the proceedings later on, one thing we can count on is her getting fed up with Charles, Oliver and Mabel’s shenanigans pretty quickly.

Which Stars Are New For Season 4?

Molly Shannon

So far Molly Shannon is the only new addition to Only Murders in the Building Season 4 for whom any concrete character details have been shared. The Saturday Night Live alum is reportedly playing “a high-powered LA businesswoman who finds herself drawn into the world of the investigation in NY.” Now that the Only Murders Season 4 trailer has been released, it seems like she’s the driving force behind the movie about Charles, Oliver and Mabel’s podcast, as she needs them to sign over their life rights in order to make there project happen. Shannon’s other recent TV credits include being a series regular on Max’s The Other Two and Showtime’s I Love That For You, both of which have ended.

Eva Longoria

Eva Longoria will play a fictional version of herself in Only Murders in the Building Season 4, as she’s been cast to play Mabel Mora in the film adaptation of the Only Murders podcast. What’s unclear is if that will be the extent of her involvement this season or if she’ll be directly wrapped into the investigation. In addition to this Hulu series, Longoria, who also recently directed the Hulu movie Flamin’ Hot, also has Land of Women coming up, which will be streamable with an Apple TV+ subscription.

Eugene Levy

Way back in the day, Eugene Levy and Martin Short performed together on the sketch comedy series SCTV, and the two later appeared in Steve Martin’s Father of the Bride movies. Now Levy is finally getting to reunite with these two fellow comedic heavyweights thanks to Only Murders in the Building. In fact, the connection between them runs even closer on this series, as the fictional version of Levy will play Charles-Haden Savage in this Only Murders movie.

Zach Galifianakis

The list of comedic talents taking part in Only Murders Season 4 keeps growing, as Zach Galifianakis will also appear. Not only will his fictional self be playing Oliver Putnam in the Only Murders movie, it's been teased that he'll play an "integral" role in the investigation, though exactly how so remains to be seen Galifianakis, of course, is best known for playing Alan in the Hangover movies, but he's also well known for hosting Between Two Ferns and leading the TV show Baskets, as well as his roles in Birdman, The LEGO Batman Movie, A Wrinkle in Time and Ron's Gone Wrong.

Kumail Nanjiani

Kumail Nanjiani is also set to appear in a recurring capacity on Only Murders Season 4. Like with Eva Mendes and Zach Galifianakis, his character is also to be important to this season's investigation, though that still doesn't rule out him playing a fictional version of himself. Nanjiani's major credits from the last several years include Eternals, Migration, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Welcome to Chippendale's, the latter of which is also a Hulu-exclusive series. 2024 also see him starring in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.

Richard Kind

Yet another comedic heavyweight has joined Only Murders in the Building Season 4’s cast. This time, it’s Richard Kind, who has an impressive collection of both film and TV work, ranging from A Bug’s Life and A Serious Mind to Mad About You, Spin City and Curb Your Enthusiasm. No details about his role in the Hulu series have been revealed yet, though if I had to guess, he’s probably playing a character rather than a fictional version of himself. The eyepatch he's wearing certainly makes a strong case for this.

Daphne Rubin-Vega

In the world of stage acting, the Tony-nominated Daphne Rubin-Vega is best known for originating the roles of Mimi Marquez in Rent and Lucy in Jack Goes Boating, to name just a few of the productions she’s participated in. As far as her onscreen work goes, that includes the Jack Goes Boating film adaptation, In the Heights, Smash, Katy Keene and The Changeling. Whomever Rubin-Vega ends up playing in Only Murders in the Building, hopefully the role makes use of her singing talents.

Catherine Cohen

Acting-wise, Catherine Cohen has popped up in movies and TV shows like Broad City, The Lovebirds, Home Sweet Home Alone and What We Do in the Shadows. However, she’s best known for her 2022 Netflix comedy special The Twist...? She's Gorgeous, and her comedy act in general uniquely includes cabaret-style songs. It remains to be seen if that will factor into the character she plays on Only Murders in the Building.

Jin Ha

Jin Ha is another actor who’s built quite the resume of stage productions, most notable playing Aaron Burr in Hamilton on Broadway a few years back. But as far as TV work goes, his two main claims to fame are the Hulu miniseries Devs and the Apple TV+ series Pachinko. He also retimed with Devs creator Alex Garland for the movie Civil War. Now we wait to learn how he’ll fit into the events that unfold in Only Murders in the Building Season 4.

Melissa McCarthy

The Only Murders in the Building Season 4 trailer revealed that Melissa McCarthy will be along for the ride for this latest installment of the Hulu show. But in my continuing efforts to sound like a broken record, we don’t know yet if she’s playing a fictional version of herself or a separate character. Some of the actress’ recent appearances include Can You Ever Forgive Me?, Superintelligence, Thunderforce, The Little Mermaid and Unfrosted.

Keep your eyes peeled on this space for more casting updates about Only Murders in the Building Season 4, as you can count on the lineup of participating talent growing a lot bigger. Matthew McConaughey

Matthew McConaughey was born in Uvalde, Texas, raised mostly in Longview, TX, went to college in Austin, and got his first big break in show business in Dazed & Confused, which was, of course, filmed in Texas. McConaughey still lives in Austin. It makes sense that the proud Texan wants to see more movies made in his home state. McConaughey has also sparked rumors in the past that he might be interested in running for political office in Texas, though he's usually brushed them aside. Politician or not, the man sure loves his home state. 

Renée Zellweger

She may have won accolades for playing an English woman, but Renée Zellweger is Texas through and through. The Bridget Jones' Diary star was born outside Houston in Katy, TX, and grew up there before attending the University of Texas. It was in Austin that she discovered her love for acting and she landed her first on-screen role as an extra in Dazed & Confused. 

Owen Wilson

Dallas-born Owen Wilson has played a lot of fantastic roles over the years, but none better than his many roles in the films of Wes Anderson. Wilson and fellow Texan Anderson have been friends since their college days at the University of Texas. It's also worth noting that both of Owen Wilson's brothers, Luke and Andrew, also hail from Texas, of course. 

Jim Parsons

While some people ooze "Texas," Houston native Jim Parsons doesn't, really. You might guess he'd be from New York or Chicago, but nope, he's a Texan. Born and raised in the suburbs of Houston, he also attended the University of Houston before striking out for Hollywood and making it big. 

Carol Burnett

Comedy legend Carol Burnett grew up in California, attending high school right in Hollywood, but the Annie star was born deep in the heart of Texas, in San Antonio in 1933. Though her vast career has taken her far from Texas, the state can still call her one of its own. 

Beyoncé

If the stars are brighter and everything is bigger in Texas, then it only makes sense that one of the biggest stars would come from Houston. There is no bigger star on the planet than Beyoncé, who was born and raised in Texas along with her sister Solange and her Destiny's Child bandmate, LaTavia Roberson. 

Selena Gomez

Like many other native Texas, Selena Gomez is proud of her Mexican heritage. The Only Murders In The Building star was born in Grand Prairie, Texas, near Dallas, and although her many acting roles and career took her to California early in life, her family's roots are firmly in the Lone Star State. Gomez is named for another Texas native as well, the late Tejano superstar Selena, who was murdered in Corpus Christi in 1995. 

Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson first got famous playing a farm boy-turned-bartender from Indiana on Cheers, and while he moved to Ohio as a teenager, Harrelson was born in Midland, Texas. He's also tight with his occasional co-star and fellow Texan, Matthew McConaughey, and, according to McConaughey, the two could even be brothers! 

Tommy Lee Jones

Sure, he was roommates at Harvard with Al Gore, but Tommy Lee Jones is all Texan. The No Country For Old Men star was born in the small town of San Saba, Texas, and raised in Midland. He's never really strayed far either, as he has resided in Terrell Hills, TX, near San Antonio, for years. He's also a member of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame, and the Texas Film Hall of Fame. There really isn't another actor who screams "Texas" like Jones, is there?

Steve Martin

Waco-born Steve Martin is one of the funniest people in film history. While he grew up mostly in Southern California, his roots are originally in central Texas, where he was born in Waco, on August 14th, 1945, the same day that the Japanese surrendered in World War II. 

Jamie Foxx

The multi-talented Jamie Foxx started acquiring his many skills as a kid in Terrell, TX, outside Dallas, where he was born and raised. As a kid, he played piano and excelled at sports at Terrell High School. He moved to Southern California after school and in 1991, scored a role on In Living Color, and the rest is history. 

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner moved to West Virginia when she was just three, so she probably doesn't remember much of anything from her early life in Texas, but the Daredevil star was born in Houston. 

Kelly Clarkson

Kelly Clarkson exploded into show business by winning the first-ever season of American Idol and she's been a star ever since. It's a journey that started when she was born in Forth Worth, TX, and raised in the suburb of Burleson, just outside the city. While her career may have taken her to LA and New York, her heart (and sports allegiance) has stayed in Texas.

Wes Anderson

People love to debate what the best Wes Anderson movie is, but if you are wondering what is his most personal, it's probably Bottle Rocket, which was filmed almost entirely in Anderson's home state of Texas. It stars a couple of fellow Texans as well, Owen and Luke Wilson. While the Wilsons are from Dallas originally, Anderson hails from Houston. 

Megan Thee Stallion

Megan Thee Stallion is a triple threat. She proved herself on the mic, and on the dance floor, first, then she started taking over TV and movies by starring in her first film in 2023. Before all that happened, though, she grew up in and around Houston. The “H-town Hottie” even got her nickname, Stallion, in the city. 

Michelle Rodriguez

Michelle Rodriguez has been in some huge film franchises, like Fast & Furious and Avatar. She kind of grew up all over, including in the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, but she was born and lived for a few years of her life in San Antonio, TX. 

Ethan Hawke

Ethan Hawke's parents were high school sweethearts who had Ethan shortly after they were married. Born in 1970 in Austin, TX, Hawke moved to the Northeast with his mother but spent his summers in Fort Worth with his dad. His grandfather even served in the Texas House of Representatives for 10 years. He has deep Texas roots that he is proud of. 

Hilary Duff

Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff is another Texas girl. Born in Houston, her family also spent time in San Antonio before moving to California when Duff was still young to pursue her acting career. Boy did that pay off quickly! 

Jennifer Love Hewitt

From a young age, Jennifer Love Hewitt was showing off her talents, singing and dancing across Texas, where she was born in 1979. Eventually, even the Lone Star State could not contain her and she moved to LA with her family, where she soon landed her first starring role on the legendary Party Of Five, after having roles on the Disney Channel and elsewhere as a kid. 

Eva Longoria

Born in Corpus Christi, TX in 1975, Eva Longoria has always been proud of her Tejano roots. In fact, her ancestry and culture are so important to her that she returned to college to earn a Master's degree in Chicano studies from Cal State-Northridge.

Forest Whitaker

Though he went to high school in Los Angeles, Forest Whitaker's life began in Longview, Texas. Every summer of his youth, he spent time with his grandparents in Longview and still has family all over Texas. 

Taylor Sheridan

It's no surprise that Taylor Sheridan is from Texas. While he was actually born in North Carolina, the Yellowstone creator is the definition of a true Texan. Not only did he grow up in Fort Worth, but he owns a working ranch in the Lone Star state called 6666 Ranch. He and his family live in Weatherford, Texas.

Farrah Fawcett

She might have had the reputation of being the all-American blonde from California, but Farrah Fawcett was born and raised in Texas. After high school in Corpus Christi, she attended the University of Texas before heading to Hollywood where she immediately started landing acting and modeling jobs. Once she scored her role on Charlie's Angels, the rest is history. 

Isaiah Washington

Controversial actor Isaiah Washington's most prominent role was in the first three seasons of Grey's Anatomy. Since then, he's worked on numerous films and TV shows, before announcing his retirement in 2023. He was born and raised in Houston. 

William Jackson Harper

Star of The Good Place William Jackson Harper is a native Texan, born in Dallas and raised in Garland, TX, where he first started acting in high school. His Texas-sized determination kept him going when he struggled early in his career, before finding a starring role on the Kristen Bell-led sitcom. 

Dakota Johnson

It might be surprising to learn that despite being the daughter of Hollywood royalty, Dakota Johnson was born in Texas. She was born to Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson in Austin while her father shot a movie in the Lone Star State. The star was then raised in Los Angeles, of course, but Austin will always be where she came into this world. Since then, she's built a great career. 

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin

Steven James Anderson loves his home state so much, that he took a name based on its capital, Austin. Better known as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, the WWE superstar was, in fact, born in Austin, though he was raised mostly in Edna, TX. The wrestler still owns property in the state, Broken Skull Ranch, near Tilden, TX. It's not like he hides his love for the state either, as one of his many nicknames is "The Texas Rattlesnake."

Gary Busey

People sometimes forget that Gary Busey was once nominated for an Oscar for playing Texan Buddy Holly in The Buddy Holly Story, and the actor also hails from Holly's home state. Busey was born in the Houston area; Baytown, Texas, to be exact. He moved to Oklahoma in elementary school and it was in Tulsa that the enigmatic actor began his show biz career. One of his first big breaks in Hollywood was a TV show that was set in Texas called, appropriately, The Texas Wheelers.

Gina Carano

Gina Carano was controversially dismissed from The Mandalorian and whether you agree with the decision or not, it's hard to argue that the MMA star brought a little bit of that strong individualism Texas is known for to the role and her career. Something that might be inherent in her, as she was born in Dallas County Texas.

Shaquille O'Neal

Texas is a huge state, with a lot of personality, so it only makes sense that a celebrity who's physically large and has a personality to match would hail from the state. Shaquille O’Neal is an Army brat, so he moved around a lot as a kid, including being born in New Jersey. It's in Texas, however, where the world started to pay attention to O'Neal as he became a standout basketball star, eventually becoming a top college recruit and going to LSU for school. He was drafted into the NBA as the #1 overall pick in 1992, and the rest is history.  

Robin Wright

Robin Wright might be best known for playing a Washington insider on House Of Cards and a Buttercup in The Princess Bride, but before all that, she was born in Dallas in 1966. Her parents divorced when she was young and her family moved to Southern California, but for those two years, she was a Texan. 

Michael Strahan

He first made a name for himself playing football in New York, and now he's known for hosting Good Morning America in New York, but Michael Strahan is a born and bred Texan. He was born in Houston, and went to high school there, though for a little while he lived with his family in Germany where his father was stationed in the Army. 

There you have it, a list that proves everything is, indeed, bigger in Texas. The toast, the steer, the plains, and the stars. Not just the stars in the sky, but the stars in Hollywood and beyond. Few states can compete with the Lone Star state when it comes to star power. 

On Friday, October 13, 2023, Hollywood icons George Clooney, Don Cheadle, Eva Longoria, and Kerry Washington descended upon Clooney's Roybal School of Film and Television Production Magnet in Los Angeles. This LAUSD school, specializing in film and TV production, was celebrating its second year and, amidst the festivities, these A-list celebrities came together for a moment of sheer hilarity. In a star-studded viral video, the fabulous foursome displayed their wit and charm while playfully poking fun at the younger TikTok generation in an A+ video.

The TikTok clip, which was posted to Kerry Washington’s official account, starts with the quartet of stars gathering around Eva Longoria as she reads from Washington's memoir, Thicker than Water. At the same time, a popular TikTok sound starts playing. The popular track features a young person addressing "the older generation” on the social media platform, who the voice claims are folks “born in the '90s." Just when you think it's business as usual, the fun takes an unexpected twist as the viral sound seamlessly transitions into the iconic beats of "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. The group’s reactions are nothing short of comedic brilliance, and you can see all of the antics down below:

The video, which the Django Unchained actress playfully captioned, “Are we too old to be here… @Roybal Learning Center?!” is both humorous and impactful. The event provided a platform for the stars to address significant concerns. George Clooney took a moment at last year's opening to throw shade at Ben Affleck and call himself the best Caped Crusader. However, this time around, the 62-year-old Ocean's Eleven star took the stage to raise awareness about the institution's mission of inclusivity for underrepresented students in the film and TV industries. 

Students are said to receive industry insights from guest speakers, specialized curricula co-developed with industry professionals, field trips and direct pathways to jobs at top entertainment companies like Amazon, Fox, NBC and Netflix. While they are also expected to fulfill high school academic requirements and are strongly encouraged to pursue post-secondary education, who knows? Perhaps one of the students could soon grace the 2024 movie release schedule or beyond.

Reuters reported that the ER veteran also called for renewed negotiations between Hollywood studios and striking actors to resolve their differences over a new labor contract. Talks between studios and the SAG-AFTRA actors' union were halted after studios rejected a bonus linked to streaming TV subscribers, a move George Clooney found "worrisome.” He urged execs to “get in the room” and not to “take a vacation.” The Batman & Robin actor has been at the forefront of the ongoing situation, releasing a statement about joining the strikes earlier this year while also joining at least 15 stars who have donated at least $1 million to the actor's relief fund. 

Eva Longoria -- accompanied by the real-life inspiration for her directorial debut, Richard Montañez -- and Kerry Washington delivered motivational speeches to the students. Don Cheadle was a returning attendee and Roybal Advisory Board Member and previously attended in 2022 with Mindy Kaling.

Amidst the online circus of zany and offbeat viral content, this TikTok video of the A-listers is a breath of fresh air that effortlessly bridges generational gaps. Whether you hail from the '90s or beyond, this video promises to make you smile. On top of all that, while the group may have humorously poked fun at today's kids, their collective presence at the event indicates that they truly want the younger generation of thespians to succeed. Biographical films and TV shows seem to have surged in popularity as of late, especially in the true crime genre. Award-winning movies based on true stories like The King's Speech, Respect, and the 2022 sensation Elvis warrant exploration based on how often they capture audiences' imaginations. However, controversy often surrounds movies that are highly dramatized, true stories. Eva Longoria's upcoming film, Flamin' Hot, which is based on Richard Montañez's fascinating story as the genius behind Flamin' Hot Cheetos, has sparked debates regarding its authenticity. Rumors have been circulating, suggesting that the story depicted in the film may not be entirely accurate. Amid the speculation, Longoria has stepped forward to address these claims head-on.

In 2021, an intriguing controversy emerged when the Los Angeles Times published an article about Richard Montañez. The businessman, who had been widely recognized as the creator of the iconic spicy snack during his time as a janitor at a Frito-Lay plant, was said to not have been the true mastermind behind the product. However, the film’s director Eva Longoria, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, vehemently defending the authenticity and importance of Montañez’s personal narrative, stating:

After conducting an independent investigation, the Los Angeles Times reached out to former Frito-Lay employees who claimed that Richard Montañez was not involved in the creation of Flamin' Hot Cheetos, contradicting his widely acknowledged role. Still, the Desperate Housewives alum stuck by Montanez. She continued:

While Frito-Lay did not explicitly dispute the allegations, the company issued a statement acknowledging that the information it shared with the media had been misconstrued. This apparently led to confusion among employees, consumers, and strained relations with Richard Montañez and the Latin community. The company further emphasized Montañez's significance in PepsiCo's history and overall success.

Jesse Garcia takes on the role of the janitor-turned-mogul in the anticipated Hulu 2023 new movie release. Known for his impressive performances in renowned shows like the HBO series Looking, which focuses on LGBTQ+ themes, and Narcos: Mexico, Snowfall, The High Life, and other notable productions, Garcia gets a prime opportunity to showcase his talents with this feature.

Actress and model Eva Longoria makes her directorial debut with this film, which draws inspiration from the memoir A Boy, a Burrito and a Cookie: From Janitor to Executive. Longoria emphasized the importance of authenticity in portraying the businessman's story during an interview with Variety in 2021. Following its premiere at South by Southwest in March, the movie garnered predominantly positive reviews, currently holding a 67% critic rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 93 reviews, with an even higher audience score of 84%. So, true or not, Flamin’ Hot seems to be striking a chord with viewers. 

It's worth highlighting that Richard Montañez responded to the allegations regarding the truthfulness of his story in 2021. He strongly refuted any wrongdoing, expressing, "I was their greatest ambassador." In an interview with Variety, he shared a personal perspective, advising individuals to keep in mind that they will always have a deeper affection for their own company than the company will have for them. It's hard to say whether his role in the Cheetos offshoot's conception will continue to be heavily debated. But what can be said is that at present, the streaming biopic hasn't been negatively impacted.

The Depp Vs. Heard trial was one of the most widely talked about trials. Considering this trial was televised for the general public to see, it was easy for people to form their own opinions and reactions to what they saw. One person who has been getting a lot of popular media attention is Johnny Depp’s lawyer Camille Vasquez due to her snappy tactics towards Heard and her legal team. If any actress was to portray Camille Vasquez in a movie about the trial, this lawyer has her verdict on who would be perfect for it.

It wouldn’t be so surprising if this defamation trial got a movie treatment in the future considering the attention it got. Camille Vasquez revealed to Access Hollywood in her first one-on-one TV interview since the verdict announced Johnny Depp’s win just who would be a good choice in portraying her in a movie.

I can definitely see Eva Longoria playing her. With the social media attention that garnered from this infamous defamation trial, a movie treatment can either work like I, Tonya where it’s a mockumentary feature-length film, or a Lifetime movie that actually documents the entire trial based on what was filmed in real-life. No matter who would get to play Camille Vasquez, it would definitely be an actress who brings fire and power into the role just like her real-life counterpart.

Camille Vasquez had a number of viral moments during the trial that gave her a huge fan following. For example, there was the time she grilled Amber Heard on why there were no medical records of the alleged assault she said Depp inflicted on her with a liquor bottle. She also shared in her closing statements about how there were too many holes for Heard’s story to be believable. Any actress lucky enough to play the role of Johnny Depp’s lawyer could probably receive award recognition for her spit-fire lines and portraying a force to be reckoned with. But for all we know, Hollywood could probably write in some unnecessary drama plots like speculation that Vasquez could be dating the Pirate of the Caribbean star.

As for what is next for Camille Vasquez, she will actually be defending Johnny Depp again in court where location manager Greg “Rocky” Brooks claims that the Edward Scissorhands star assaulted him on the set of City of Lies, offered $100,000 to punch him back, and was fired for refusing to promise not to tell anyone. His well-known lawyer’s job is to disprove this claim and they even have a witness who disputes the confrontation. There is also a new two-part documentary series called Johnny Vs. Amber on Discovery+ where you will see interviews from the lawyers of both Depp and Heard as well as other footage and evidence that was used during the scandalous trial.

Let me tell you - I thrived off of The Proud Family when I was a kid. I loved that show to pieces and enjoyed every family message, hilarious bit, and all around great characters up until the show ended. It’s a fantastic animated show centered on a wonderful Black family, and will surely make anyone love these funny members of the Proud family. So, imagine my excitement when I found out that The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder was coming to Disney+.

To say I was eager to see what the show had to offer with a more grown-up Penny and a new atmosphere is an understatement, and the moment that it premiered on the popular streaming platform, I was watching it from day one. From that first episode, I’ve noticed so many fun cameos from celebrities that are truly hilarious to re-watch, so here are my top eight celebrity voice cameos from The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder Season 1. 

Lil Nas X (June Bug)

While his cameo in the season finale of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder was short, I have to put it on here for the fact that it made for good entertainment. When the Proud family visits family in Oklahoma, they get caught up in the wrangling business, and you can clearly hear Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” in the background as Oscar (the father) tries to wrangle horses. 

His character, June Bug, is seen only for a little while, saying "I'm the only one that plays guitar around there." It’s certainly a fun little cameo that, if you recognize his voice, you can clearly tell that is him, without a doubt. 

Tina Knowles (Ms. Gina)

It seems the drama that Tina Knowles had with Disney+ is over with, as she actually had a guest spot on The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder in the episode, “Raging Bully.” Here, she plays Ms. Gina, the owner of a fancy hair salon that no one can ever seem to get an appointment at. That is, everyone but Suga Mama, whom Ms. Gina always makes time for. 

It’s a hilarious cameo and one that I really enjoy, as you can really tell that Knowles connected with the character and had a super fun time recording it. 

Eva Longoria (Melrose Avanúñez)

Eva Longoria has been a big name in Hollywood for some time, from her starring role in the Desperate Housewives cast, to taking on new TV and movie roles over the last few years. She decided to step back into the voice-over world with a cameo in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, when she voiced Melrose Avanúñez in the episode, “A Quinceañera to Remember.”

There’s just something about her voice that makes me smile, but her character, Melrose, is the opposite, as she clashes with everyone at LaCienega Boulevardez’s party and makes everyone’s life a living hell, which further shows her voice-acting talents. I also especially like that she was a part of an episode that really took the focus away from Penny, giving other characters the chance to shine more. 

Lamorne Morris (Himself)

As a New Girl fan who loved Lamorne Morris as part of the New Girl cast, I have to say, him in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder was something I didn’t know I needed. His guest cameo, where he plays himself, in the episode, “When You Wish Upon a Roker” (which also guest-stars Al Roker), is just perfect. 

Morris is the lead of a hip-hop musical based on the life of Benedict Arnold - you know exactly what this is parodying, and yes, it is indeed Hamilton, the smash hit that was released on Disney+ in 2020 for the world to see. It’s hilarious to see him in this role and I personally wished we had gotten more of this parody than we did. I would have listened to a whole soundtrack of just Lamorne Morris rapping. 

Lizzo (Herself) 

Hands down, this was one of the best cameos of the season, specifically because Lizzo sounded like she was having the time of her life recording this. 

Lizzo has been making headlines for the last several years, whether that be from her hosting SNL to going viral when she shared her DM’s with Chris Evans, you just can’t not love this performer, which is why she was the perfect choice to guest star as herself in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, during the episode,  “Snackland.”

Her role is perfect, where she comforts Penny after her friends replace her in a group because they didn’t like her voice. Lizzo, who was in the area, comforts Penny and tells her to embrace her voice in her own Lizzo-way, truly inspiring me, as well, to embrace who I am. The queen of self-confidence, that is exactly who Lizzo is. 

Tiffany Haddish (Ms. Hill)

When I think of Tiffany Haddish, I always instantly think comedy. Haddish has so many hilarious movies and TV roles that it’s not a surprise that she’s also in the voice-acting world, as her personality leaks through and shines in any character that she does. That’s the case for her cameo in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, in the episode, “Home School.”

Here, she voices Ms. Hill, a substitute teacher for Penny, who has a surprising backstory - that she lives in the teacher’s lounge rather than a home, and Penny learns about the lesson of being grateful for the home that she lives in - because not everyone else can have a nice home like she does. It’s a great cameo for Haddish, as it not only teaches a valuable lesson, but shows off her voice-acting skills wonderfully. 

Bretman Rock (Makeup Boy)

If you follow YouTube creators, like I have for many years, this name probably sounds pretty familiar. Bretman Rock is a famous influencer who is known for his killer makeup looks, which is what made me so excited to see him guest-star in The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, in the episode, “Bad Influence(r).”

He plays a character called Makeup Boy, an influencer whom everyone seems to be obsessed with besides Penny, who sees through his tactics, and finds a way to get him canceled by getting famous herself. As someone who has grown up in this cancel culture and makeup guru world on YouTube, it is hilarious to see it come to life on television, and honestly, Bretman Rock was the perfect person to play that role. I especially love that Makeup Boy isn't even upset that he was canceled near the end - he instead thanks Penny for making him remember his roots. Just perfect. 

CeeLo Green (Shuggie)

Last but not least, we have CeeLo Green, a legend in the music industry, who guest-starred on the pilot episode of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, called “New Kids on the Block.” In this episode, Green plays Shuggie, a panda. That’s right, you heard me, a panda. 

It’s a stupid-funny cameo, where Shuggie insists to Penny and Maya (someone she’s trying to be friends with) that he doesn’t want to be saved even though everyone assumes he wants to be. He’s happy just being who and where he is and doesn’t need people to assume he wants to be anywhere else. Green’s voice was the best choice for Shuggie, as he not only gives an attitude to the panda but sings a fun song that shows off his vocals, too. 

With The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder getting renewed for Season 2, according to Variety, it’s only a matter of time before we get to see more celebrity guest cameos. And, I’m sure they’ll be just as entertaining as these were.   

When The Boss Baby released back in 2017, the animated comedy ended up becoming a hit for DreamWorks, even spawning an original Netflix TV show, The Boss Baby: Back in Business. Afterward, it was only a matter of time before a sequel inevitably came along. Now, nearly four years after the first movie arrived, The Boss Baby: Family Business, has made its official release into theaters, and streaming on Peacock.

With a star-studded cast featuring amazing actors such as Alec Baldwin and Lisa Kudrow, there’s no doubt in my mind that you have heard or seen them before. If you’re curious, here is where you’ve seen Boss Baby 2’s actors and actresses before – because trust me, you have.

Alec Baldwin (Ted Templeton Jr.)

I believe all of us fell in love with Ted Templeton Jr. in the original The Boss Baby film, so it was only a matter of time that he would be brought back to being a baby in its sequel. Alec Baldwin returns to the role in The Boss Baby: Family Business.

Alec Baldwin has done plenty in the film industry – including several voice roles prior to The Boss Baby: Family Business. These include such hits as The Spongebob Squarepants Movie, Madagascar 2, Rise of the Guardians, and more. If you’ve seen him in live-action, you might recognize him from his award-winning guest appearances on Saturday Night Live as former President Donald Trump. Or, you might have seen him in some amazing movies, such as The Aviator, The Departed, BlacKkKlansman, and so many others. His earlier movie roles include Beetlejuice, Working Girl and Glengarry Glen Ross

Or, if you’re thinking TV is where you’ve seen him, Alec Baldwin has done plenty besides Saturday Night Live. Back in the 1980s, he had a main role on the soap opera, Knots Landing. However, one of his major roles on television was starring as Jack Donaghy on the classic comedy 30 Rock. Truly, a staple of this generation, and someone everyone needs to see at least once on TV or film.

James Marsden (Tim Templeton)

While The Boss Baby had Tobey Maguire voicing adult Tim Templeton, James Marsden stepped up to the plate for its sequel, The Boss Baby: Family Business.

James Marsden is yet another big star on this list, having appeared in so many films from your past and beyond. Marsden has shown off his singing chops in films like the musical Hairspray, and the Disney film, Enchanted – for which he will be appearing in its sequel soon, Disenchanted. However, music is not the only talent Marsden succeeds in. From his role as Cyclops in the X-Men movies to comedic roles in films like Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues and Zoolander, Marsden has been all over the board.

James Marsden has also done a couple of romantic comedies/drama’s as well, like the classic The Notebook, and the comedy 27 Dresses. Honestly, adding voice-acting to this already long list of talents doesn’t surprise me.

Amy Sedaris (Tina Templeton)

A new addition in The Boss Baby: Family Business is Tina Templeton, the undercover executive at BabyCorp just like her uncle was, and the youngest daughter of the now-adult Tim. Portrayed by Amy Sedaris, Tina is just as serious about business as her uncle.

Amy Sedaris has done her fair share of voice work, including performances in Chicken Little and Shrek the Third. In Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King, Amy Sedaris did the voice-work for Guinea Fowl. However, she’s also had a lot of live-action appearances as well, including the cult horror film, Jennifer’s Body, the comedy Old Dogs, and an appearance in the Jon Favreau film, Chef.

Sedaris has appeared in several television shows – almost too many guest roles to mention. However, some of her highlights include a main role in The Heart, She Holler as Hurshe Heartshe, a minor recurring role in The Mandalorian, and in the Netflix series, BoJack Horseman as Princess Carolyn. And many are likely to know her best from her starring role in Strangers With Candy.

Ariana Greenblatt (Tabitha Templeton)

Ariana Greenblatt is the youngest out of everyone on this cast list, but this young actress has done a lot of work that you might recognize her from. Tabitha Templeton in The Boss Baby: Family Business is the eldest of Tim’s daughters, portrayed by Greenblatt.

Ariana Greenblatt, again, may be young, but she has done so much. Recently, she had a small role in the Lin-Manual Miranda musical In The Heights as young Nina, as well as portraying Minnow in Love and Monsters, and Julia in the Disney+ original, The One and Only Ivan. Prior to that, Ariana Greenblatt was actually young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War, the little girl that held the hand of Thanos.

Greenblatt’s biggest role so far was playing Daphne Diaz in the comedy series, Stuck in the Middle. However, with how far this actress has come at such a young age, I wouldn’t be surprised if we started to see her a lot more often soon.

Eva Longoria (Carol Templeton)

Back to the bigger stars of this cast list, we look at Eva Longoria’s Carol Templeton in The Boss Baby: Family Business, the wife of Tim and the mother to Tina and Tabitha.

Eva Longoria has been around in the business for a long time, appearing in several television shows and films. Her biggest roles where you might have seen her was portraying Gabrielle Solis on the hit drama series, Desperate Housewives, as well as portraying Isabella Brana on the long-running soap opera, The Young and the Restless. Besides that, she also starred in her own comedy television series, titled Telenovela, based on the TV genre of the same name. If you’re thinking you’ve seen her in films, you wouldn’t be far off, because Longoria has done plenty of film work.

From the political action film Sentinel to the comedy Over Her Dead Body, to drama film Frontera, Eva Longoria has truly been all over the map. While she’s done voice-work before in guest roles on TV, like in BoJack Horseman and The Simpsons, The Boss Baby: Family Business is her first major voice role in film since Arthur Christmas, and she rocked it as usual.

Jimmy Kimmel (Ted Templeton Sr.)

I feel like if you don’t know who Jimmy Kimmel is, you’re living under a rock. Returning from The Boss Baby is Ted Templeton Sr., popping up in The Boss Baby: Family Business. Jimmy Kimmel himself has been seen everywhere, but we can start off with some of his biggest hits.

Besides having several cameos in films (honestly, way too many to put down here), Jimmy Kimmel has hosted his own late-night talk show for several years now, simply titled Jimmy Kimmel! Live! Prior to that, however, Jimmy Kimmel co-hosted the Comedy Central series, The Man Show, did many voices in Crank Yankers, and appeared on the MTV show, The Andy Milonakis Show, showing off his comedy skills. If you haven’t seen any of his sketches yet, you should definitely check it out.

Lisa Kudrow (Janice Templeton)

Janice Templeton returned in The Boss Baby: Family Business, alongside its original voice actress, Lisa Kudrow. This comedic actress starred in one of the most iconic comedies of all time in my opinion, Friends, playing Phoebe Buffay – and, prior to that role, she played Phoebe's twin-sister, Ursula, in Mad About You, a character that was brought over to Friends later on. However, even before and after Friends ended, Lisa Kudrow has been extremely busy in the film world.

Kudrow starred in the cult comedy Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, and in the romantic comedy, The Opposite of Sex. Later on down her life, she had appearances in such big comedy hits like Easy A, led by Emma Stone, P.S. I Love You, both Neighbors films, the coming-of-age film Booksmart, and so many others.

Lisa Kudrow has also been active in the television world after Friends ended, producing, writing and starring in her own HBO comedy series titled The Comeback, as well as the Showtime series, Web Therapy. She reunited with her castmates of Friends in Friends: The Reunion in 2021, but I wouldn’t be surprised if you saw her in plenty of other projects soon. There’s no stopping this iconic actress.

Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Erwin Armstrong)

The last on our list, but certainly not the least. Jeff Goldblum plays Dr. Erwin Armstrong, a rival of BabyCorp, and I can’t think of a better actor to do it than the man himself. Jeff Goldblum, in my opinion, was a 1990s legend. While Jeff Goldblum did plenty of amazing work prior to that, such as his breakout roles in Invasion of the Body Snatchers, The Big Chill, and The Fly, I always remember him for his roles as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park movies and as David Levinson in Independence Day, two iconic roles he would go on to play again in both series’ sequels.

However, Jeff Goldblum has done plenty more besides that. He’s done voice roles before, including the Wes Anderson movie Isle of Dogs and the animated film The Prince of Egypt. Besides that, he’s been in plenty of other films, like The Grand Budapest Hotel, Cats & Dogs, and as the Grandmaster in Thor: Ragnarök, and will be in its upcoming sequel, Thor: Love and Thunder.

Jeff Goldblum has also had some experience in the television world as well. He portrayed Detective Zack Nichols for two seasons in Law & Order: Criminal Intent, and even had his own show recently on Disney+, titled The World According to Jeff Goldblum, which already has a second season on the way, according to Deadline. To me, he’s always been one of the most iconic actors ever, so a film like The Boss Baby: Family Business is just another great addition to his already amazing resume. And if you haven’t seen some of his most iconic films, please do so now.

With all these 2021 movies, it’s no surprise that there are some truly star-studded casts out there just like The Boss Baby: Family Business. There’s no doubt that this film is full of talent – and now, you have an idea of where you might have seen them before. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go watch Friends for the millionth time.

Featuring a strong cast of award-nominated/winning actresses, including Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, Nicollette Sheridan, and Vanessa Williams, creator Marc Cherry's mischievous and often funny look at misbehaving suburbanite housewives was an enjoyably naughty series for its eight-season run, eventually becoming the longest-running hour-long TV series featuring all-women leads. But after calling it quits in 2012, what has the Desperate Housewives cast been working on? Let's find out.

Teri Hatcher (Susan Mayer)

In the role of Susan Mayer, a divorced children's book illustrator who's known to be a bit of a klutz, Teri Hatcher played the lead in Desperate Housewives. Before she adopted this character, Hatcher was best known for her portrayal as Lois Lane in ABC's Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. She also starred in Tomorrow Never Dies, Soapdish, Spy Kids, Tango & Cash, 2 Days in the Valley, Straight Talk, and Heaven's Prisoners. Additionally, Hatcher did voice work for Coraline, and she is the author of Burnt Toast And Other Philosophies Of Life.

Following Desperate Housewives' run, Teri Hatcher did voice work for Planes and Planes: Fire and Rescue. She also had recurring roles in The Odd Couple, Jane by Design, and Supergirl. And she can be seen in Madness in the Method. Notably, in 2018, Hatcher debuted a YouTube channel called Hatching Change.

Felicity Huffman (Lynette Scavo)

As Lynette Scavo, a neurotic neighbor on the verge of a breakdown, Felicity Huffman won an Emmy Award, among other accolades, for playing this controlling character in Desperate Housewives. Huffman is also known for Sports Night and American Crime, as well as Transamerica, for which she was Oscar-nominated, Reversal of Fortune, The Spanish Prisoner, Georgia Rule, Magnolia, Phoebe in Wonderland, Christmas with the Kranks, and Cake. Additionally, she was seen in Netflix's When They See Us and Starz's Get Shorty. She recently starred in two new films, Otherhood and Tammy's Always Dying, both of which she produced.

Last year, Felicity Huffman gained nationwide attention for her involvement in a college entrance exam cheating scandal, where she was charged with conspiracy to mail fraud and honest services mail fraud. She later pleaded guilty to federal charges for paying $15,000 to have a proctor correct incorrect answers on her daughter's SAT. She spent fourteen days in prison. After keeping a low public profile, Huffman recently landed her latest major role with an untitled ABC baseball drama.

Marcia Cross (Bree Van de Kamp)

Playing the part of Bree Van de Kamp, Wisteria Lane's perfectionist homemaker with a less-than-sturdy home life, Marcia Cross had quite an emotional arc on Desperate Housewives. Prior to this Emmy-nominated performance, Cross starred in Melrose Place and Everwood and appeared in The Edge of Night, One Life to Live, Another World, Knots Landing, Seinfeld, Boy Meets World, Quantum Leap, and Cheers. She can also be seen in Bringing Up Bobby, Bad Influence, Just Peck, and Female Perversions.

Following her time on Wisteria Lane, Marcia Cross had a recurring role in Quantico. Most recently, she starred in The Secret of Karma. Last year, Cross faced a cancer diagnosis, though she's reportedly in remission.

Eva Longoria (Gabrielle Marquez)

In the role of Gabrielle Marquez, a bored housewife caught in a salacious affair with the teenage gardener, Eva Longoria gave a star-making performance in Desperate Housewives. Previously, Longoria starred in The Young and the Restless. Also, during the show's run, the actress was seen in Over Her Dead Body, The Sentinel, and Harsh Times.

After Desperate Housewives, Eva Longoria has split her time in front and behind the camera. She played the lead role and executive produced NBC's short-lived sitcom, Telenovela. She was also an executive producer of Marc Cherry's Devious Maids. Her other television roles include Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Jane the Virgin, Empire, Flipped, and Grand Hotel, where she served as a producer. Nicollette Sheridan (Edie Britt)

Playing the part of Edie Britt, a flirtatious real estate agent, Nicollette Sheridan was a main character on Desperate Housewives for five seasons. When she left the series, it wasn't on the best terms. Previously a fashion model, Sheridan also appeared in Knots Landing, Paper Dolls, The Sure Thing, Noises Off, and Spy Hard, as well as Beverly Hills Ninja, Lucky Chances, The People Next Door, and Virus. During her time on Desperate Housewives, the actress starred in Code Name: The Cleaner. Afterward, she acted in The Christmas Spirit, which she also co-wrote.

Most recently, Nicollette Sheridan was seen in two seasons of Dynasty.

Brenda Strong (Mary Alice Young)

As Mary Alice Young, Desperate Housewives' all-watching narrator after she commits suicide in the pilot, serving as the show's catalyst, Brenda Strong played an observant-yet-elusive character in her Emmy-nominated performance. Prior to this role in this hit series, she starred in Scorch and The Help (2004). The actress also made guest appearances on Seinfeld, Party of Five, Twin Peaks, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Blossom, 7th Heaven, Everwood, and Sports Night. Recently, Strong was seen in TNT's Dallas, and she was a series regular on 13 Reasons Why, where she also directed.

Outside of TV, Brenda Strong starred in films like Starship Troopers and Starship Troopers 2: Hero of the Federation, as well as Red Dragon, Spaceballs, The Craft, and Black Dog. She currently plays a recurring role in Supergirl and she narrates Blood Relatives. Additionally, Strong recently appeared in All Rise. Next, Strong stars in Deported and From Black.

James Denton (Mike Delfino)

In the role of Mike Delfino, the next-door plumber who moves into Wisteria Lane and eventually marries Susan, James Denton plays a central romantic character in Desperate Housewives. Prior to this show, Denton was seen in The Pretender, Threat Matrix, and Philly, as well as Face/Off, Primary Colors, The West Wing, and The Drew Carey Show. Following his time on this program, Denton had a recurring role in Devious Maids, and he was seen in episodes of Reba, Hot in Cleveland, and NCIS: New Orleans. He also starred in films like Grace Unplugged, Group Sex, and Lifetime's Custody. Additionally, he voiced the title character in All-Star Superman.

Currently, James Denton can be seen in Hallmark Channel's Good Witch. He also recently starred in Selfie Dad. Outside of acting, Denton plays guitar in Band from TV.

Ricardo Antonio Chavira (Carlos Solis)

Playing the part of Carlos Solis, an ex-con-turned-counselor and Gabrielle's frustrated husband, Ricardo Antonio Chavira had a prominent male role in Desperate Housewives. He was also seen in Santa Clarita Diet, Welcome to the Family, Monk, Six Feet Under, Jane the Virgin, Kevin Can Wait, and Scandal. Additionally, Chavira appeared in Being Charlie, Piranha 3D, and The Alamo.

Next, Richardo Antonio Chavira stars in Netflix's Selena: The Series, which premiered on December 4th. He'll also star in Reefa and Cosmic Radio.

Doug Savant (Tom Scavo)

In the role of Tom Scavo, Lynette's husband on the cusp of a midlife crisis, Doug Savant played a prominent male character in Desperate Housewives. Outside of this series, Savant is best known for Melrose Place. He also appeared in Knots Landing, Columbo, JAG, According To Jim, 24, CSI, Nip/Tuck, Lucifer, and NCIS: New Orleans. His notable film credits include Teen Wolf, Masquerade, First Daughter, Paint It Black (1989), The One, and 1998's Godzilla.

Earlier this year, Doug Savant appeared in S.W.A.T., L.A.'s Finest, and Dirty John. Next, he'll star in Amazon Prime's upcoming series, Tell Me Your Secrets.

Mark Moses (Paul Young)

As Paul Young, the widower of Mary Alice who finds his life spiraling after his wife's death, Mark Moses played an intense character in Desperate Housewives. During this time, Moses could also be seen in AMC's Mad Men. He also appeared in One Life to Live, as well as Born on the Fourth of July, Platoon, North and South, Gettysburg, Deep Impact, Big Mamma's House 2, Swing Vote, Just in Time, and The Doors.

After Desperate Housewives' tenure, Mark Moses starred in The Killing, Homeland, The Last Ship, and La Reina del Sur. He also had recurring roles in Manhattan, Man Seeking Woman, Law & Order: True Crime, and Salvation. Earlier this year, Moses starred in Fox's Deputy prior to its cancellation. His recent film credits include Cesar Chavez and Bombshell. Next, Moses stars in Modern Persuasion and Follow Her.

Andrea Bowen (Julie Mayer)

In the role of Julie Mayer, Susan's daughter, Andrea Bowen played a concerned character in Desperate Housewives. Previously, Bowen made a splash on Broadway thanks to Les Miserables and The Sound of Music. She also had recurring roles in Boston Public, Law & Order, and That Was Then, and she was heard in Bambi II. Following Desperate Housewives, Bowen did voice work for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Stoker, and King of the Hill. Also, Bowen appeared in The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Hawaii Five-0, Ghost Whisperer, Without a Trace, and Scandal, and starred in G.B.F.

Recently, Andrea Bowen appeared in Lifetime movies like Girl, Positive, Who Killed My Husband?, and Pretty Little Addict. She also starred in Winter Wedding. Recently, Bowen was seen in August's Psycho Sister-in-Law.

Jesse Metcalfe (John Rowland)

As teenage gardener John Rowland, who has an illicit affair with Gabrielle, Jesse Metcalfe played a key character in Desperate Housewives' early seasons. This performance propelled his career, notably with the titular part in John Tucker Must Die, and main roles in NBC's Chase and TNT's Dallas. Additionally, before Desperate Housewives, Metcalfe starred in NBC's soap opera, Passions.

His other notable film credits include God's Not Dead 2, The Other End of the Line, Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, and Escape Plan 2: Hades. Moreover, Metcalfe recently starred in Christmas Next Door, Christmas Under the Stairs, and A Beautiful Place to Die: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery and Riddled with Deceit: A Martha's Vinyard Mystery. He also produced the latter two. Additionally, he starred in Hard Kill and Cover earlier this year. And he was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars this season.

Currently, Jesse Metcalfe plays the lead role in Hallmark Channel's Chesapeake Shores. Next, he'll star in Ships in the Night: A Martha's Vineyard Mystery and The Latin from Manhattan.

Vanessa Williams (Renee Perry)

Playing the part of Renee Perry, a narcissistic partygoer disenchanted by her lifestyle who moves to Wisteria Lane, Vanessa Williams became a main character for Desperate Housewives' final two seasons. A musician and Miss America contestant prior to acting, she gained acclaim for Soul Food and Ugly Betty, earning three Emmy nominations for the latter. Additionally, Williams starred in South Beach, Mama Mirabelle's Home Movies, Daytime Divas, and 666 Park Avenue. And she acted in The Adventures of Elmo in Grouchland, Shaft (2000), Johnson Family Vacation, and Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor, as well as Light It Up, Dance With Me, And Then Came Love, Eraser, and Hannah Montana: The Movie.

Currently, Vanessa Williams lends her voice to T.O.T.S. She was also a contestant on this year's RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race and won. Recently, Williams starred in Hulu's Bad Hair and appeared in Twenties.

As of late, it feels like Universal is making itself more familiar with the Dreamworks Animation stable of titles that it inherited as part of its acquisition of the troubled, yet memorable animation studio. Yesterday, The Croods: A New Age popped back into the picture, and with a newer, earlier theatrical debut set for this Thanksgiving weekend. But now, Universal has announced that The Boss Baby: Family Business is officially marching into the boardroom next March, and it has a seriously stacked cast. How stacked is it? Well, Jeff Goldblum is one of the new voices announced to be part of the sequel’s cast.

Deadline broke the insider trading information pertaining to The Boss Baby: Family Business hitting the market early next year, as well as the news on who’s coming back and who’s new to the picture. The Tom McGrath-directed sequel marks the return of the first film’s director, with Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow coming back as the Templeton parents, and Alec Baldwin reprising his role as Ted Templeton, the boss who is now very much not a baby.

That’s right, The Boss Baby: Family Business sees Ted and his brother, Tim, now voiced by Sonic The Hedgehog’s James Marsden, all grown up and estranged. But, as this is a Boss Baby movie, there has to be an infant with wisdom beyond their years in the picture, which happens to come in the form of Tim’s daughter, Tina (Amy Sedaris), a new operative in the employ of the massive baby business BabyCorp. Her mission is to investigate the mysterious Dr. Armstrong (Jeff Goldblum), the head of a prestigious school for advanced children who may not quite be on the level.

Returning to The Boss Baby: Family Business is the voice of Ted Templeton himself, Alec Baldwin. Recently seen in films like Mission: Impossible – Fallout and Motherless Brooklyn, Baldwin’s smooth vocals and comedic timing are back to bring the Templeton family back for more trouble. Strangely enough, after hearing Tobey Maguire bring the adult Tim to live in The Boss Baby, the first big casting shake up to be had comes from James Marsden being recast in the role.

The Boss Baby: Family Business’ infant counterpart is none other than legendary comedian and The Mandalorian guest star, Amy Sedaris. Voicing Tina Templeton, Tim’s tiny tot, Sedaris is the kid in action this time around, investigating the kids academy that her older sister, Tabitha, is attending. Apparently, the Acorn Center for Advanced Childhood isn’t exactly all that it seems, and Jurassic World: Dominion star Jeff Goldblum apparently holds the key to that very secret, as he plays the potentially nefarious Dr. Armstrong, the man who founded the school.

As a married man with a family, Tim Templeton is not only the father of Tina, but he’s also the husband to loving wife and father to older child Tabitha. Played by Dora and the Lost City of Gold’s Eva Longoria and Ariana Greenblatt, who most notably played young Gamora in Avengers: Infinity War, the other members of the latest generation of Templetons help draw the story of The Boss Baby: Family Business into sharper relief. The character of Tabitha is especially important, as her idolization of her uncle/former Boss Baby Ted is something that concerns her family, despite that drive landing her at the top of the Acorn Center’s class rankings.

Rounding out the cast of The Boss Baby: Family Business is another pair of returning voice actors. As Ted Sr. and Janice Templeton, late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel and beloved comedy icon Lisa Kudrow, respectively, slot back into their roles from The Boss Baby. Recently, Kimmel has been heard in films like Teen Titans Go! To The Movie and seen in Bryce Dallas Howard’s documentary, Dads; while Lisa Kudrow has been spotted in recent comedies Booksmart and this past January’s Like A Boss.

Desperate Housewives became an international hit almost immediately after it debuted in October 2004. The dramedy (which starred Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Nicollette Sheridan) gave viewers a very different, and certainly soapy, look at life in the suburbs, and viewers ate it up.

While Desperate Housewives either revitalized the careers of the actresses at its center or simply took them to a whole different level and made them stars for the first time, it now appears that the behind the scenes lives of at least one of those women was quite difficult for a time. Eva Longoria, who played vain former model Gabrielle Solis, has revealed that she actually suffered through bullying while working on the series.

Longoria's revelation comes via the letter of support she wrote to a judge on behalf of her former co-star, Felicity Huffman, who will be sentenced soon for her part in the college admission scandal. A few months ago, Huffman pleaded guilty to committing honest services fraud and mail fraud after paying $15,000 to have someone take the SAT in the place of her oldest daughter. Here's part of what Longoria had to say:

Well, it's certainly obvious why Eva Longoria would still be solid friends with Felicity Huffman, and why she would put in the time to write a character reference letter on Huffman's behalf before she gets sentenced. The bigger question, though, is just who bullied Longoria on the Desperate Housewives set?

While most people who read Eva Longoria's letter, which was obtained by NBC News (via TVLine), will likely jump to the conclusion that the person who bullied her was another actor, Longoria only referred to the person as "a co-worker." Technically, this could be anyone who worked on the set but didn't interact with Longoria on a regular basis.

Eva Longoria noted elsewhere in the letter that, when she booked the role on Desperate Housewives, not only was she the youngest person in the main cast, but she was also still relatively new to the business, so, logically, she would have made a prime target for a bully who was looking to intimidate someone in an effort to make themselves feel better. But, whether this was another actor or not, we will probably never know for sure, because Longoria didn't name the person.

How many people, who have just gotten a big part on a major network show, would be willing to complain about the behavior of a co-worker when it might mean that their big break could go poof almost as soon as it began? Those who find themselves bullied or otherwise harassed, whether it be at work or elsewhere, now have a lot more agency when it comes to exposing the negative behaviors of others, but back when Desperate Housewives started, it was a much harder task.

Apparently, Huffman became a friend to Eva Longoria on the set from the start, and helped her with everything from their first table read (where the whole cast and many of the creatives get together to read the script for the first time), to early award show appearances, Longoria's charity work and even later contract negotiations.

Because Longoria was the least experienced of the main cast, she was also the lowest paid. She says that when it was time to renegotiate, Huffman suggested they all negotiate together so they would each make the same amount per episode of Desperate Housewives, noting "that did not go over too well with the others," but Huffman said "it was fair because the success of the show depended on all of us, not one of us."

Honestly, if you're willing to stand up for someone when it comes to financial issues, it makes a lot of sense that you would be willing to go to bat for them when it comes to them being bullied or pretty much anything else. So, if nothing else, you can absolutely say that Eva Longoria has a dedicated friend in Felicity Huffman, and vice versa.

Felicity Huffman is scheduled for sentencing in just a few days, and prosecutors have suggested a fine of $20,000 and four months of prison time, while her lawyers have asked for the fine, along with a year of probation and 250 hours of community service. Whatever happens, it does appear that Eva Longoria will stand by the friend who helped remedy the bullying she faced all those years ago.

This summer, the popular Nick Jr. series Dora the Explorer is making the big jump to live-action with its first theatrical movie. Isabela Moner straps on the purple backpack to go on a journey through the jungle to save her missing parents and find a lost city of gold. Danger, friendship, and foxes dressed as burglars abound! Just about anything with a recognizable IP is getting the movie treatment these days and that's especially true for Dora the Explorer. The iconic children's education series was one of the longest running programs on Nick Jr. and it spun off a number of series, specials, and TV movies over the course of its 172-episode run.

Given the fourth-wall breaking nature of the show and its very specific format, it's fair to say that some people were curious how a live-action movie would work. Would it embrace those elements of the show or would it be a more straight-forward and grounded take on the material? The answer, it seems, is a little bit of both. The first trailer for Dora and the Lost City of Gold dropped last night and it presents a Dora who is more adept at navigating the literal jungle than the jungle of high school.

The new trailer lays out the basics of the plot. The film follows Dora (Moner), an energetic but reckless teenage explorer who is sent to high school by her parents (Michael Peña and Eva Longoria) to meet kids her own age. While Dora has trouble fitting in, she and some of her classmates are dragged back to the jungle in order to save her parents and find a mythical city of gold.

This trailer is a pretty solid confirmation that Dora is shooting for a younger target audience and it looks fun for that age group! It's silly and over the top, which is certainly a good tone to have when your main character hangs around with a monkey and keeps flare guns in her backpack instead of textbooks.

My only gripe is that Boots the Monkey isn't wearing any boots. Is he named Boots just because it's cute? #NotMyBoots

The only other thing missing from this trailer is Swiper the Fox. The kleptomaniac fox is voiced by Benicio del Toro, but it looks like the marketing team is saving the reveal of what Swiper looks and sounds like for a rainy day.

Katey Sagal has signed on for her next network television show. The Sons of Anarchy actress will be returning on a soapy nighttime drama for ABC.

Katey Sagal has signed on to recur on the upcoming series Grand Hotel, per Deadline. The dramatic series is being executive produced by Desperate Housewives' Eva Longoria. Sagal's role and the show both sound exciting! Before getting into Sagal's character, it is probably best to understand the backdrop of the role.

The show is based on the Spanish-language series, Gran Hotel, which currently streams on Netflix. ABC's Grand Hotel is set in a Miami Beach hotel. The show centers on the family who owns it, the hotel's staff, and the "explosive secrets" they all conceal within its walls. Katey Sagal will star as Teresa on the drama. She is an investor in the hotel with mysterious aims.

Teresa is said to let nothing stop her in the pursuit of protecting her investment. She will also clash with Demián Bichir's Santiago. Sounds intriguing! For now, Katey Sagal is set to appear in at least three episodes of the series. And, that should be more than enough episodes for a decent amount of story unfold.

Whether there will be room left open for that run to possibly be extended is not entirely clear. Three episodes could theoretically turn into more if the story calls for it, the series is interested in keeping her around, and if Katey Sagal's schedule allows. So, stay tuned.

This role sounds well-suited to Katey Sagal, whose take-charge characters are always fun. Let's face it, drama and hotels go together really well. The setting has potential for lots of drama, and should help fuel the series for some time to come. Whatever Teresa's mysterious intentions are, they should be interesting to explore.

The first theory is that she is not contented with her role as an investor in the hotel. Perhaps, she is plotting a takeover? It could be.

Katey Sagal's role on Grand Hotel marks her latest network television role. She has enjoyed sustained runs on cable. Sagal has most recently appeared on Showtime's Shameless as Ingrid. Like her upcoming work on Grand Hotel, she has starred on the dramedy in a recurring capacity. Her run on Shameless came well after her enduring turn on the FX crime drama Sons of Anarchy.

She has not been a stranger to network television after wrapping on that show, though. Before signing on for Grand Hotel, Katey Sagal also enjoyed guest stints on the comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Karen Peralta, when the show was still airing on Fox. As well as an episode of This Is Us. Lest we forget, she also played Penny's mom on The Big Bang Theory. Grand Hotel will mark her return to network drama.

Looking forward to seeing Katey Sagal in Grand Hotel? Then you probably want to know when it premieres. Grand Hotel is currently slated to debut sometime in 2019. First, though, you will have to get through all the lovely fall debuts before the drama potentially premieres in the midseason.

You know the old saying, "You can't keep a good Eva Longoria off of TV." Okay, so that's admittedly not very old, nor is it a standardized idiom, but that doesn't make it any less true. The veteran TV actress has tried valiantly to recapture the longtime success of her former drama Desperate Housewives, but has so far come up short. Hopefully her newest gig can be the charm, as Longoria is joining the talented squad of Ken Marino, Kyle Bornheimer, Steve Harris and Andy Richter for what sounds like an extremely harsh Fox comedy called Type-A.

Expect to see a more comedically piercing side of Eva Longoria for Type-A, a single-camera project that will see the actress playing a character named Axler, a consultant within a corporate firm made up of employees that do the jobs that few others want to do: they go into other firms and drop the layoffs, the downsizings and other bits of horrible news that mainstream employees hate to hear about. Axler, whose name is about as on the nose as a nostril, is brutally honest with everyone she talks to, and her ambitions are also worn on her sleeves. There is something inside of her that strives to break free and be nice to people, but she keeps that personality trait locked down.

This will be yet another lead role for Eva Longoria, and this time it's from the Life in Pieces creative team of executive producer Jason Winer and writer/producer Lesley Wake-Webster, and Winer will step in and direct the pilot. Having last taken the front lines on the short-lived network comedy Telenovela, Longoria complemented that time with appearances on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Lip Sync Battle and Devious Maids, and she's got a spicy arc coming to Fox's Empire when it returns for the remainder of Season 3. I love that she has zero issues flipping from comedy to drama and back, and Type-A already has one of the best casts she's ever worked with. TVLine claims another female lead is currently being cast, so expect that to come out soon.

Ken Marino, of Party Down and Veronica Mars fame, will take on the role of Garland, a slick and schmoozy attorney whose quasi-predatory approach put him in a relationship with Axler once upon a time. (We're certain that won't come up in weird ways.) Marino is a comedy genius, having also worked on greats like Wet Hot American Summer and its Netflix series, as well as the spoof show Burning Love, Marry Me and much more. Even Agent Carter, which wasn't a comedy, but it made him an MCU character, as Ken Marino should be.

Similarly, Kyle Bornheimer is an actor who has seemingly been on every fourth comedy on TV in the past 10-15 years. He will step in and play the moral compass of the group, whose name is Ben. He's a war vet who only has one leg, so he'll be stepping in presumably in an awkward manner, as is Bornheimer's way. In 2016-2017 alone, the actor has appeared in 7 different TV shows, including a larger role in Hulu's Casual, as well as a couple of movies and a TV pilot that went nowhere. (He memorably reprised his Breaking Bad role on Better Call Saul, which was obviously the best one.)

Steve Harris is a veteran of The Practice, which puts him a little closer to Eva Longoria for genre comparisons, but in Type-A, he'll be bringing the laughs as a security chief named Carson. Part of where Caron's humor lies in in the contrast between his large and intimidating physique and his love for his tiny show poodle. Your mileage may vary. Most recently, Harris starred in the TNT drama Legends and appeared in a 2015 episode of NCIS, while he showed up on the big screen in Spike Lee's Chi-Raq.

Finally, we have Andy Richter, best known as Conan O'Brien's late night sidekick for many years, as well as someone known for appearing in hilarious TV comedies. (Including his own short-lived pieces of brilliance.) Richter will bring his sardonic ways to the role of Luderman, someone whose ability to manipulate is untouched by not only those around him, but also most others in the world. Richter appeared earlier this year in an episode of Life in Pieces, so that's some good synergy.

It's unclear when we'll get to hear any more about Type-A and Eva Longoria's future as a network TV lead, so while you're waiting, head to our midseason premiere schedule and our summer premiere guide to see all the shows that are heading to TV in the future.

Since 2000, actress Eva Longoria has been a staple of network television, with her most prominent small screen stint coming as part of the long-running drama Desperate Housewives. Since that show ended in 2012, she's made one-off appearances on several popular shows, as well as heading up the unfortunately short-lived comedy Telenovela, but her next role will almost definitely be the most exciting since Gabrielle Solis left our lives. Longoria is heading to the cutthroat universe of Empire for Season 3, and her character will have the unenviable task of facing Lucious Lyon head on.

Eva Longoria's stint on Empire won't be a permanent one, sadly, but it also won't be a blink-and-you'll-miss-her appearance, either. For a multi-episode arc, Longoria will portray Charlotte Frost, who will have an interesting role to play in the company's future as the head of the state gaming commission that has final say in Lucious' plan to expand Empire out to Las Vegas. One would assume that Terrence Howard's manipulative mogul will at least initially try to get on Charlotte's good side, as he's done with other powerful women in Empire's run that could help and/or destroy him.

Don't go thinking all will remain fine and dandy, of course, as Charlotte isn't a one-dimensional source of painless glory for Lucious. According to TVLine, the character has a "a force of darkness and corruption" hiding just beneath her surface, so we can expect her to try and double-cross someone, or everyone, whenever she arrives later in Season 3.

Plus, everybody knows if you're taking on Lucious and Empire, you've got a near-certain date with destiny in the form of Cookie Lyon, so this Charlotte person hopefully has skin thicker than bricks and a brain that doesn't accept danger rationally. (Probably not the kind of person that would be hired to head a gaming commission.) Seeing Eva Longoria and Taraji P. Henson going toe to toe would make for a fabulous evening of primetime TV.

The last time Eva Longoria owned a recurring role was for a Season 2 arc on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, though she also popped up on a Season 4 episode of Devious Maids, which she also executive produces. And she also showed up for the Season 2 premiere of Lip Sync Battle between Channing and Jenna Tatum, but she didn't perform. On the big screen, she'll be seen later this year in the drama Lowriders, which also stars big TV names like Theo Rossi and Melissa Benoist. Hopefully she survives her Empire trip so she can return in future seasons.

It’s been two years since Eva Longoria graced network television with her presence. In the time since Desperate Housewives ended its lengthy run, she’s been in pretty high demand, headlining her own streaming series for Hulu, executive producing Devious Maids and appearing in a few indie flicks. Now, the actress is ready to return to network television full-time, and both ABC and NBC want a piece of the action. Both networks have projects in the works set to star the popular actress, and she'll barely have to lift a pinky finger to decide which is a better fit.

If Longoria heads to ABC, she’ll get to play Mia, a woman who works as a home renovator. The character was actually conceived for Longoria, and will follow her antics in and out of the workplace. Apparently, she will have a problem-solving personality that will affect her life in both good and bad ways.

The ABC project automatically seems like a good fit for Longoria. She’s worked with the network before on Desperate Housewives. While the currently untitled project would be a comedy rather than an hour-long endeavor, we already know Longoria is capable of being funny. Desperate Housewives was often funny. Her Hulu comedy, Mother Up! is funny. If she does decide to roll with the ABC project, she’ll be teaming up with The Trophy Wife’s Emily Halpern, Sarah Haskins, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, who are all funny. If Longoria commits to star, the project will go to pilot with a 13-episode penalty. It seems like a win-win.

But don’t discount NBC in this equation. Longoria has also worked on the producing end with NBC in the past. NBC’s project does have a title, Telenovela, and would star Longoria as an “ambitious” TV star whose real life will apparently be more dramatic than her TV life. According to Deadline, Telenovela has been developed by Longoria and her production company, UnbeliEVAble, for some time and would be executive produced by Cougar Towns Chrissy Pietrosh and Jessica Goldstein, along with Universal TV. That project will get a 13-episode order if Longoria just says “yes.”

Still, if she wants to head back to ABC, NBC is still willing to give Telenovela the benefit of the doubt, giving it a pilot order and signing a different star. It sounds like a show NBC really wants, regardless, as the network has talked to Telemundo about actually airing episodes of the fake soap Telenovela will be based around.

No matter what happens, it looks like audiences will get to see Eva Longoria in her natural network television habitat next season. The actress has a big decision ahead of her, and we’ll let you know which project she chooses to move forward with. Hopefully, she chooses the project she is the best fit for and not the project that gives her the best deal. Both ABC and NBC really seem to want the actress, and the bidding war is already starting to get crazy.

And it’s yet another new dating reality series on the way, this time over at NBC. They’ve given the greenlight to a series called Ready For Love, which is to be executive produced by Desperate Housewives alum Eva Longoria, and will be hosted by Giuliana and Bill Rancic, who have plenty of reality TV experience under their (probably adorably matching) belts.

The word on the greenlight comes from Deadline not long after Fox added George Lopez as the host for their latest entry into the dating show genre, Take Me Out.

NBC’s attempt at a new take on the dating show will bring in three bachelors, all of whom were personally selected by Eva Longoria. From there, it gets a little complex. Three matchmakers will take a total of twelve candidates (you can apply on Facebook if you’re looking to find love in front of the cameras), four for each of the three men. They’ll then move their hopefuls into a private home, where they’ll coach, mentor, primp, improve and otherwise try to make them attractive to the bachelor they’ve been matched with. They’ll date, get eliminated when the fail to connect with their guy, and eventually it will be down to three girls from whom the bachelor will select his dream woman.

The three guys up for grabs have already been chosen. They are a Dallas-based financier named Ben Patton, Tim Lopez, a musician from the band Plain White T’s who lives in Santa Barbara, and a Miami entrepreneur named Ernesto Arguello. What, does no one want to fight for the hand of a poor guy? Good luck on the romance, boys.

A new poster for Barry Battles’ The Baytown Disco promises “A Southern Whip-Ass Extravaganza!” And with Billy Bob Thornton in the lead role, that’s not too hard to imagine. Brace yourself for something epic, as the first official piece of marketing adopts a Star Wars-inspired character montage made famous by illustrator Drew Struzan. That’s not all. In addition to the poster, LLeuju Productions dropped two new images from the film, which you also can find in our Baytown Disco gallery.

Why are we interested in this? And who is Barry Battles? Well, we’re not 100% sure yet, either. The actor, whose primary credit is Boys of Summerville, has one short on his directing resume (Mr. Extion), but he has cooked up a premise that has us pining for Raising Arizona-levels of Coen Brothers insanity.

As we reported months ago, Baytown casts Thornton and Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria in a redneck comedy about a down-on-her-luck trailer floozie (assuming that will be Longoria) who tricks/hires/seduces three corn-fed losers to help her steal back her son, whom she claims is being abused by her ex (Thornton, we’re thinking). The scenario lends itself to all kinds of Southern shenanigans, and while we haven’t heard much since the casting process, the poster seems to confirm the wild, in-bred tone.

Battles co-wrote Baytown with Griffin Hood. The film is due out in theaters later this year. If it can make good on its slogan, we cold be in for a treat.

Don’t expect to see Eva Longoria in line for unemployment checks now that her long-running primetime soap opera Desperate Housewives is drawing to a close at the end of this upcoming season. Instead, she’s using the newfound freedom to line up several feature-film opportunities. Let’s hope none of them is a sequel to Over Her Dead Body.

Variety actually reports that Longoria has four "diverse" projects in the pipeline for as soon as Housewives wraps. One, Long Time Gone, would pair Eva with Meg Ryan for a drama about a woman (Ryan) dealing with her husband’s infidelity. (Longoria would play the other woman.) After that, the actress is eyeing two independent films: Who Gets the Dog, about a divorcing couple squabbling over the family pet; and Four Kings, an historical drama set during the French and Indian War that also would star Brendan Fraser.

Finally, there is Child Support, an animated series Longoria would produce and star in for Hulu. She’d lend her voice to the lead character of Marley Wiener, who is described in the Variety piece as a female version of Peter Griffin, the main character on Fox’s animated hit Family Guy.

It’s hard to say which, if any, of these roles will hit. Of the four Housewives, Longoria is the one I’ll always associate with her character, Gabrielle Solis, primarily because co-stars Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross all had high-profile roles prior to the ABC soap. While Longoria has had bit parts in Harsh Times and The Sentinel, this will be her first real opportunity to define herself outside of the confines of a popular television program. It will be interesting to see how she does.

With Ant-Man officially not part of Joss Whedon's The Avengers, it would make very little sense for Janet Van Dyne, a.k.a. The Wasp, to have a role. After all, the two share very similar powers and exist largely as a couple (being married will cause that). Nevertheless, the "Eva Longoria as The Wasp" rumor has been around since 2008. Time to officially put this one to rest.

Gossip Cop is reporting that sources close to production have denied that Logoria will be a part of Whedon's 2012 superhero team-up film. The rumor began almost two years ago when Longoria was spotted leaving the offices of Marvel Comics in New York with a bunch of reading material in hand, and was perpetuated recently by Fox News (who also say that Nathan Fillion is set to play Ant-Man).

It's about time that we put this one to rest. Plenty of "inside sources" are likely to emerge in the coming weeks saying they have the scoop on The Avengers, but the truth is that what we saw on stage at Comic Con is our team. Why would they go so much trouble to sign Jeremy Renner and Mark Ruffalo so quickly and then just send out a few press releases a week later? Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Nick Fury, Black Widow, Nick Fury, and Hawkeye - that's your Avengers line-up, get used to it.

Things are looking good for Nathan Fillion to play Ant-Man in the upcoming Avengers film. First rumored to be up for the part back in May, the actor has the support of just about every comic book fan, not to mention an in with the director, Joss Whedon, whom he worked with on Firefly and Serenity. With a second source close to the production now saying that the actor is in final negotiations, we must wonder how close we are to seeing the official casting. And what about his wife?

ComicBookMovie has received word from a source that not only is Fillion all-but-confirmed to play Hank "Ant-Man" Pym, but that Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria will play Janet Van Dyne, better known as The Wasp, in the upcoming superhero ensemble flick. While their characters may be named, however, they are far from defined. According to the site, it's unknown as to whether Pym and Dyne will have their superpowers in the film or if they will even be married. With the San Diego Comic Con quickly coming up in July, all of these questions should be answered fairly soon.

We can take the Longoria news with a grain of salt, as she has been attached to the role of The Wasp since 2008 with the only evidence being a photo of her holding a bunch of comics while exiting the Marvel offices. As for Fillion, casting anyone else in the part at this point would just be dumb. Fans have been elated by the idea from the moment it was suggested and could be great PR for one of the lesser known heroes in the Marvel universe. Check back in a month when a bunch of us here at Cinema Blend will be going to SDCC to see if any of this speculation has any weight to it.

Last night, I was sitting in LaGuardia airport waiting for the last flight to Detroit after a great weekend working in NYC. The flight was late – which made me miss the last flight out of Detroit to Fort Wayne, Indiana. So, while I was supposed to be watching Desperate Housewives, I was instead catching up with my fabulous husband who drove all the way to Detroit to get me. Am I lucky or what?

The ladies of Wisteria Lane aren’t quite that lucky. Or maybe if they would just stop being so dramatic about everything they would be. But a show about everyone being happy wouldn’t last too long, would it?

Speaking of being happy – did Bree forget when Susan told her that a friend sleeping with your ex is a deal-breaker for her? I guess she forgot, or maybe she is just having too much fun to care – because every time Karl gives her a ring, she runs off like a horny teenager. It’s literally only a matter of time till Karl moves on to the next gal and Bree’s left holding the baggage of an affair and a broken friendship. Pleasure is great – but it seems like you might want to think about where it’s coming from before you jump in the sack.

In the midst of getting to a rendezvous with Karl, it becomes very evident that Katherine is not all there. And I do mean mentally. It seems that the shock of Susan and Mike getting married was enough to send one of my favorite gals off the deep end. I can understand portions of it – but the delusions that Kat is suffering from are starting to borderline on straight-up crazy! After learning that Katherine is peeping on Mike, she gives her three weeks off to get well. Katherine comes back to apologize, but when she sees that Bree used her cake design (for her cake when she marries Mike), she flips. Bree ends up firing her, and it’s clear that Katherine isn’t going to take that any better than she took Mike marrying Susan.

Lynette is full on into her second trimester (which means the second three month period of a pregnancy, for the men out there), and with the second trimester comes energy, cravings, and b-o-o-b-s. Big ones. It happens to most women, and though Lynette knew it was coming (after 3 pregnancies, you get it), she wasn’t ready for them yet. None of her blouses fit, and she’s not quite sure how to hide them from the boss man – Carlos. They are impossible to hide, and Carlos thinks she got implants – and encourages her to tell Gaby about them. He also encourages her to whore them out to new clients. When she comes home, Tom admits that he loves big boobs – but he’s glad she doesn’t have them because it makes him feel like they fit together better.

Over at the Solis house, Carlos’ niece Anna is in “love” with John Roland. You might remember him as Gaby’s ex-gardener/high school boy toy. Last week he hired Anna to work in his restaurant, after Carlos gave his approval. This week, Anna does her best to get between the sheets with John. Gaby’s concerned, and John mistakes that for love. He kisses her after offering to “rescue” her from her life – and guess who pops in? Gaby runs off chasing Anna, and Gaby confesses that she and John had an affair. Anna decides to not tell Carlos, and quits her job at John’s restaurant. Gaby lets go of the old mall picture kiosk pics of her and John – tearing them up and leaving them for John to see. She also tells Carlos she’s honest-to-God happy with her life. And I believe her.

My least favorite housewife, Susan, learns even more dirt on her unconscious daughter, Julie, this week. Thanks to Andrew Van de Kamp, she finds out that not only did Julie think she was pregnant, but she’d also dropped out of medical school six months earlier, and the baby daddy was a married guy with initial “D”. That last part came after Susan ransacked Jules’ room. In the midst of the detective work, Julie wakes up and though Susan knows she shouldn’t she grills Julie on all of the things she didn’t know.

Over at the Bolen house, Oedipus Danny wants to drop out of school. His mom, Angie, feeling bad that he’s an outcast and worried that he might “get sloppy”, and bribes Lynette’s remaining twin to hook him up with a nice party. Later, we see her mystery scar again, and Danny promises her he’s going to get rich, get her scar removed, and take care of her. Now, I’ve got two boys, and when my three-year old says he’s going to marry me, I find it cute. If my teenage son was crossing that line, I might find it a little odd. At the party, Danny’s dad is hanging with the teenage girls. Danny confronts him and tells him ominously that “he knows”.

When Danny’s dad “D”ominic visits Julie in the hospital saying he misses her – it all kind of falls into place, doesn’t it?

Eva Longoria is giggling about a rumoured sex tape scandal - because she and new husband Tony Parker are too "square" to film their lovemaking. The Desperate Housewives star insists British tabloids, which broke the story overnight, have missed the joke in a spoof sex tape she filmed with comedian Perry Hilton for website FunnyOrDie.com.

The chuckling actress insists she and her husband have never filmed themselves in the bedroom. She says, "Everybody was calling me (when the story broke) going, 'Oh my God...' "We never made a tape... We're very square, boring people."

But Longoria loves the online spoof film, in which she pokes fun at her hit TV show while bouncing around on a bed in her lingerie. She says, "It's like the non-sex video because we don't have sex... It's so funny... Tony thought it was so freakin' hilarious... But it's a skit."
