The Christina on the Coast star may be in a more positive place these days, but I’m still feeling a few digs at Josh Hall amongst these rules with her mention of “toxic people” and “parasites and vampires.”

Also, knowing that she’s had to cut down on spending due to the expensive divorce, I can’t help but laugh at her advice to not skimp on a good attorney. I’m kind of surprised that one of the list items wasn’t “get a prenup” after the demise of her third marriage.

Flip or Flop has been a powerhouse franchise for HGTV going back more than a decade now, continuing via spinoffs even after Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack divorced and the original series ended. The duo are facing off for The Flip Off in the 2025 TV schedule, with Tarek and wife Heather Rae El Moussa of Selling Sunset fame competing to win a house-flipping competition vs. Christina. Viewers who tuned into the series premiere saw footage from Tarek and Christina's original Flip or Flop audition, and it was as wild for the stars to revisit as it may have been for longtime fans of the franchise.

Originally, Christina's husband Josh Hall was part of the new show before their divorce was announced in the premiere, which made it all the more surreal to see clips from when she and Tarek were still married and on the verge of launching an HGTV empire combined with their mature conversation about her split from Hall.

When I spoke with the three Flip Off leads ahead of the show's first episode (which you can stream now with a Max subscription), Christina Haack confirmed that they'd seen every episode but the finale, with Heather Rae El Moussa saying that "we're all very happy." Tarek El Moussa weighed in that it's "so exciting and so much fun and I cannot believe we pulled it off. "

So, what was it like for them when they saw moments from their Flip or Flop audition included in their newest show? They shared:

• Tarek: "Wow, that was shocking to see, huh? I mean, that's back in 2010 home video."
• Christina: "Yeah, rocking the bob."
• Tarek: "Never, ever would have thought that little video would get us here to this interview today. So it's been a wild ride."

Tarek El Moussa reflected on the "wild ride" of the past fifteen years after that one little 2010 home video, while the rule-hating Christina Haack couldn't help but comment on her bob haircut. It was a popular look at the time, but not one that she's still rocking on The Flip Off! In fact, her look on the new show is pretty similar to Heather Rae El Moussa, which the very first promotion for The Flip Off played into.

And while the competition is fierce between the two teams on The Flip Off, the stars were also clear while speaking with CinemaBlend that any banter and bickering is all in good fun. That's easier to believe after the series premiere took the time to show Tarek supporting Christina when she shared the news about her split from Josh, with Heather expressing sympathy as well. Both teams definitely want to win, but that doesn't mean at any cost.

Tarek and Heather won the first challenge of The Flip Off with their kitchen, but there's still a long way to go in the competition, and the judges in the next episode are none other than Tarek and Christina's moms. Christina Haack’s love life has been a big topic of conversation for a whole bunch of reasons recently. First of all, her show on the 2025 TV schedule, The Flip Off also stars her ex-husband and his wife – Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa. Also, the show was going to star her third ex-husband Josh Hall. However, they filed for divorce over the summer, making matters for this HGTV show awkward. Now, amid her divorce, she’s reportedly dating a new man, and this news comes not long after she said she has no plans on getting married again anytime soon.

Word on the street is that Christina Haack is now dating Chris Larocca, the CEO of Network Connex. According to an insider who spoke to The Daily Mail, they’ve allegedly been together for months, as they said:

They went on to allege that the duo have even “traveled abroad” together.

According to this source, the pair have been spotted at events for the last three months. The report explained that they were holding hands in photos posted by Ferrari during a big Italian trip the company put on. On top of that, the outlet reported that the duo apparently attended a Christmas party in Laguna Beach, and photos showed them together.

People also confirmed this news, noting that the “exact timeline” for this relationship is not really known yet.

What’s interesting about this report is it came out a few days after Us Weekly published an interview with Haack where she spoke about her outlook on romance. Saying that she’s “taking a break and spending time with my girlfriends and my kids,” the Christina in the Country host made it clear that dating isn’t her priority at the moment. She also said that while she wouldn’t totally exclude the idea of getting married, it’s not something she sees happening anytime soon, as she said:

So, I guess if Haack’s reported relationship with Larocca works out, there won’t be wedding bells anytime soon.

Notably, this news also comes six months after Haack and Josh Hall filed for divorce. She has said that this situation is “personal,” and a clip from The Flip Off shows that things were very tense between the two. As for right now, Hall has been removed from promotional photos for the HGTV show too. As for their divorce, it’s ongoing at the moment.

Overall, even though Haack is reportedly dating again, her comments about marriage still make sense. However, as we learn more about her new relationship as well as her various projects, we’ll keep you updated. While Anstead has been dating Renée Zellweger since 2021, and El Moussa is married to The Flip Off’s other co-host, Heather Rae El Moussa, Haack said marriage isn’t in her cards. While she does love love and she thinks she might tie the knot again someday, it will not happen in the near future, as she explained:

So, it sounds like she’s going to stick to flipping properties, raising her kids and focusing on her friendships, and I can’t say I blame her. Plus, I’m sure all of this will keep her busy too.

Personally, Haack is raising three kids – Taylor and Brayden, whom she shares with El Moussa, and Hudson, who she co-parents with Anstead. It also sounds like all parties here are on good terms. In the story, Haack explained that when she and Hall broke up, Anstead said he was “here” for her and “sorry” that she was going through this situation. Meanwhile, the Flip or Flop host has gotten close to both Tarek and Heather. Not only do they work together on their new HGTV show, but they also spent the holidays together this year.

On top of all that, Haack and Hall are still dealing with their divorce, and she called it “personal,” noting that “divorces do not happen overnight & there is always a breaking point.”

Professionally, Christina Haack is also staying busy. While she was supposed to be on The Flip Off with Tarek and Heather El Moussa as well as Josh Hall, the promo images for it do not include Hall. However, the show is going on, and it promises to be an exciting program – both in terms of the home work as well as the personal situations that are bound to seep into the show.

As of late, the general public has seen a few celebrity divorces set in motion, with one of them being the split between Flip or Flop’s Christina Hall and realtor husband Joshua Hall. The Halls separately filed in July after two years of marriage, and reports have since surfaced in regard to the circumstances that led to their split. Much has also been said about the subsequent legal proceedings between the two estranged spouses. Christina also just made a move that gives her something in common with Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck.

It was August that JLo filed for divorce from Ben Affleck after being married to him for two years. The “Jenny from the Block” singer eventually enlisted the services of attorney Laura Wasser. Well, it would seem that the highly sought-after Wasser now has a new client in Christina Hall. As noted by Us Weekly, Hall was previously represented by DeArmey Law but ultimately felt that a change needed to be made. A source for the aforementioned news outlet also said:

Laura Wasser’s resume is quite impressive, as she’s represented a number of A-list celebrities. For instance, she’s represented Angelina Jolie on multiple occasions, having overseen her divorces from both Billy Bob Thornton in 2003 and Brad Pitt in 2016. Wasser was also involved when Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West. Ms. Hall filed for a change of attorney with the Superior Court of California on November 22, per legal documents. Wasser has yet to release a statement of any kind on her latest job.

Months ago, there were conflicting reports about the status of Christina and Josh Hall’s legal proceedings. In August, Josh, who requested spousal support in the divorce, took to Instagram to share a photo of a “HOPE” standee, with Christina later resharing that image and musing that her former husband meant “I ‘HOPE’ she pays me millions more than what she’s already offered me.” After the claim of Josh wanting “millions,” a source claimed that the reality professional had been offered a “seven-figure plus” settlement by his wife. However, a second person alleged that she “didn’t offer Josh millions” and that the two hadn’t begun negotiations at that time.

The Halls discussed their current situations through other posts as well. In August, via an IG post, Josh appealed for privacy and asked that his followers don’t “publicly badmouth anyone.” Overall, he seemed to convey his intention to not treat this situation like a reality TV show. As for the Christina on the Coast star, she shared a candid update on her IG story as well. Christina opened up about focusing on her kids and herself while also describing her “promise” to herself, which is to “never ever give away my peace again.”

As for Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, the two are reportedly still wading through their own legal situation. Neither of them have been candid about their breakup or shared precise reasons for it. Thanks to legal documents, it’s known that JLo filed in an unusual way, as she didn’t have a prenuptial agreement in place with her husband. All the while, “Bennifer” have also been looking to sell their $68 million Beverly Hills mansion.

Speaking of major price tags, Laura Wasser’s services don’t come cheap. A Bloomberg report from 2016 detailed the fact that at the time, she charged clients $850 per hour. She also required those with a net worth of $10 million or more to provide a $25,000 retainer. Given all of that, it seems Christina Hall is likely sparing no expense when it comes to her legal counsel.

HGTV star Tarek El Moussa is opening up about his darkest times in a new book that chronicles his hitting rock bottom and climbing back to the success he enjoys now. The book Flip Your Life: How to Find Opportunity in Distress — in Real Estate, Business and Life, even details his perspective of the viral incident that came out after his split from Christina Hall that involved a gun and a 911 call. 

As readers may recall, news surfaced after Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall's split that deputies were called to the house to search the back of the property after reports of a "possibly suicidal male with a gun." In his book (via People), El Moussa took the opportunity to present his version of what went down, and it's different than what was reported. 

According to El Moussa, he had jumped the back fence of their then-home to scout out some trails to ride some new mountain bikes they had just purchased. He took a .38 pistol as an "insurance policy" to protect against wildlife, as the house was close to the Chino Hills State Park. He went on to say he only realized something was wrong when he saw helicopters overhead and soon realized that they were searching for him:

Following the incident and separation Tarek El Moussa explained he spent weeks drinking himself unconscious and dealing with severe withdrawals due to lack of testosterone he'd been taking before friends finally led him to a rehab facility. It took some time, but El Moussa eventually found his way back to Flip Or Flop and even filmed with Christina Hall. Granted, there were altercations that took place at first, but they eventually found a way to move forward following the outburst. 

Life has improved for Tarek El Moussa since then, as he's currently married to his wife Heather Rae, with whom he'll be returning to HGTV for Flipping El Moussas Season 2. There's no return date on the 2024 TV schedule for the season yet, but it's possible, given the release of Season 1, that the new season could be coming in April. 

Tarek El Moussa's ex, Christina Hall, is also having a good deal of success separate from him on HGTV. She is still married to her current husband, Joshua Hall, and co-parents with El Moussa with their two children, Taylor and Braden. It will be interesting to see what other details about El Moussa and his life outside of reality television surface in the book.

Christina Hall has always been a fan of sharing her family’s going ons with her fans. This week, the Christina On The Coast star spent some time in New York City with her latest husband Josh Hall. The trip may have given her a little inspiration, as it seems she might have an idea for another spinoff. I certainly wouldn’t hate it. 

A few months ago, Hall shared 'big goals' she has for her forties. Now, in a post on Instagram, she opened about the “work trip” she recently embarked on in the Big Apple. The popular HGTV host shared a pic of the sightseeing she and her husband  got to do along the way, but more importantly, she also teased a little spinoff she might potentially do down the line.

A lot of fans seemed enthusiastic about the idea, with some confirming they want to see Christina in the City and others throwing out additional ideas for even more spinoffs the TV host could potentially do. 

• Christina in the city and Christina in the French Alps please. ❤️😂❤️😂
• Has a great ring to it. 'Christina in the City'. Love. ❤
• Yes! Christina in the city or Christina on the East Coast! Bring it, please!
• Christina come to Long Island.

I also don't hate the idea, either. Hall is known for her clean lines and neutral colors, but her looks have evolved over the years as design has changed and she's changed. You can clearly see it in earlier and later seasons of Flip or Flop. (Remember her phase of putting crystal chandeliers in bedrooms? Her own living room now has a fringe chandelier.) Expanding to new locations often leads to experimentation, and I'd love to see her set her sights further east. 

Christina Hall is in the business of spinoffs. Christina On The Coast is actually a follow-up to the now-defunct series Flip or Flop a show that HGTV greenlighted after she and Tarek El Moussa split. It subsequently did so well that when she and her family bought property in Tennessee, it inspired another spinoff Christina In The Country. Ergo, heading to the East Coast for another round might actually be good for business. And Christina in the City does have a really nice ring to it. 

Meanwhile, Christina On The Coast hit the 2023 TV schedule this summer, but new episodes of Christina In The Country are expected to begin airing in 2024 and her Coast version was renewed for Season 5 next year as well, too. There was something special about Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa when they started hosting Flip or Flop on HGTV back in 2013, and audiences stayed tuned into their house flipping dynamic for a full 10 seasons before they shut the door on that chapter last year. While many were shocked by the announcement that Flip or Flop was ending, it was probably more surprising that it made it that long in the first place, due to its hosts breaking up four years in, and Hall recently opened up about what it was like to film with her ex-husband for so long.

The El Moussas went through some tough times in the early days of Flip or Flop, and Tarek admitted he “hit rock bottom” as he battled cancer and a back injury. It didn’t get any easier for them personally, as they split in 2017 before divorcing in 2018, and the host of Christina on the Coast and Christina in the Country — both of which were just renewed by HGTV — explained how she and her ex-husband made it work. She told US Weekly (via Deadline): 

While their relationship — and therefore the tension between them — was certainly an aspect of Flip or Flop, it was ultimately a home renovation show. No matter what was happening between her and Tarek El Moussa, Christina Hall could always turn the focus back on the work and then walk away at the end of the day. She was not required to get on camera and talk about the state of their relationship, as she might have been on a different kind of reality show.

That doesn’t mean that their personal issues never caused problems on set though. In 2021 it was reported that Tarek El Moussa went on a tirade against Christina Hall, with El Moussa reportedly calling his ex-wife a “washed up loser” and saying his then-fiancée Heather Rae Young (now his wife) was richer and hotter than Hall. The exes also allegedly had to film scenes separately several times, or take a day to cool off before returning to set.

Such a situation could only last so long, so it actually makes sense as they each moved on in their personal lives that their professional lives would also start to take different paths. Flip or Flop had become “too intimate” of a setting for where they were with their new partners, and they’ve both moved on to new shows with their new spouses.

The star recently turned 40, and she’s now reflected on her thirties while opening up about what she wants to come next.

What Did Christina Hall Say About Her Flip Or Flop Years After Turning 40?

Fans know that while the design expert and her first ex-husband, Tarek El-Moussa, pretty much had a massive hit right out of the gate with Flip or Flop, all of their time on the series was hardly smooth sailing when it came to their personal lives. The couple divorced part-way through the show’s run, but continued working together, which eventually led to some issues behind the scenes. When speaking to US Weekly about the lavish birthday party organized by her husband, Josh Hall, and best friend, Christina opened up about the past decade and what she’s looking forward to, saying:

At least it sounds like she doesn’t really have any of the fears that many people do about getting older, since she seems comfortable with her life and who she is now. Her thirties certainly encompassed a lot of professional success, as well as a number of personal ones, like raising her two children with El Moussa, and having a third child with her second ex-husband, Ant Anstead. But, she also had to do hard things like leave two marriages behind, reflect on what led to that second divorce, and endure a very public fight over her youngest child. 

Now, however, it seems like what’s important in life is really crystalized for her. While talking about her birthday bash on Instagram, Hall added that she’s looking to “slow the f down” now that her fourth decade is upon her, so she can “enjoy the small moments” and “take it easier on myself and mostly have fun and enjoy the ride.” If that makes it sound like fans won’t be seeing as much of the home renovation guru as before, though, think again. During her interview, she added:

It sounds like she’s found the secret to pursuing her dreams and not letting it get in the way of those smaller moments that really make life worth living, which is something that many of us hope for when it comes to our own lives.

There are several shows on HGTV that have made the network one of the most talked about purveyors of the home design/renovation corner of reality TV, and Flip or Flop is certainly counted among them. The series, which ended with a surprise finale episode in December 2022 after 10 seasons on the air, starred the formerly married Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall as they bought run down homes in southern California, fixed them up, and tried to flip them for a nice profit. Now, El Moussa has had to defend his new show with his second wife, Heather Rae, and explain how it’s different from what he did with Hall.

What’s Tarek El Moussa’s New Show With Heather Rae And How Is It Different From Flip Or Flop?

For those who may have been out of the house flipping loop for a bit now, while the Flip or Flop exes had each previously moved on to their own spinoffs shows like Christina in the Country and Flipping 101, March 2 saw the premiere of The Flipping El Moussas. The new series will once again see Tarek buying shoddy homes with his wife to fix up and sell, so many viewers might wonder what makes this program different from what he did with his ex-wife for so many years. As he recently told E! News:

If you tuned in to even a few episodes of his former hit show, you’ll know that it spent most of each episode focusing on the renovation of one home, with a bit of the couple’s personal life sprinkled in for good measure. Though fans definitely saw the duo and their revamp crews deal with things like unforeseen costs and issues with getting permits, there wasn’t a real emphasis on delving into the inner workings of the (probably pretty intricate) business side of things and the many logistics involved in flipping houses. 

So, this new take on a home show does give it an edge as people try to compare it with his previous series. He continued, and said:

As any dedicated home flip show viewer can tell you, one thing that you don’t tend to see a lot of on these programs is the flippers shelling out millions of dollars on houses that will still need an additional several thousands of dollars of updates. There are several series where those in charge gleefully pay $20,000 or less for some of the scariest properties imaginable and then turn them into great places to live.

But, the star, who recently became a dad for the third time with the late January birth of his new son, Tristan Jay El Moussa, noted that his new show will feature more expensive homes, and that can be seen in a clip from the first season that was posted on YouTube. While he and Hall seemed to usually spend about $500,000 or less on homes to fix up, the house in the clip from The Flipping El Moussas is valued at $2.15 million dollars before any renovation, and that’s a steep incline compared to what he used to spend.

He also noted that the all important finishing touches they put on each home matter more than ever, and that Heather Rae will be doing a lot of the heavy lifting in that regard:

In the aforementioned clip, you can hear the “present, involved” new mom (who was pregnant during filming) talk about the design being “luxury,” so it sounds like anyone wanting to be inspired by homes with as many fancy bells and whistles as possible can really look forward to watching this show every week.

When Tarek El Moussa and his then-wife Christina debuted their house-flipping reality show Flip or Flop on HGTV in 2013, there’s no way they could have predicted that the show about their business would result in some intensely personal moments playing out in the public eye. The couple weathered on-set arguments, a divorce, new relationships and health issues before the series came to an end in 2022 after 10 seasons. Now, as El Moussa and his wife Heather Rae are enjoying life with a new baby, Tarek acknowledged the struggles he’s been through to get to where he is now, revealing that he hit “rock bottom” before his divorce.

Tarek El Moussa opened up to Fox News Digital about his life being “hell” for the first few years of Flip or Flop. Shortly after the show premiered, a viewer noticed a lump on El Moussa’s throat that turned out to be thyroid cancer. He was also diagnosed with testicular cancer, and suffered an accident that required back surgery. Amidst everything, there were problems in his marriage to now-Christina Hall. El Moussa recalled: 

The couple made headlines in May 2016, after a scary altercation went down in which police were called to their house in search of a “possibly suicidal male with a gun,” after Tarek El Moussa grabbed a gun and went out to a hiking trail behind their house. They later called it a “misunderstanding,” with El Moussa saying he had no intention of hurting himself. In January of the following year, he officially filed for divorce.

At the time, he blamed insufficient communication as one of the reasons for the divorce, as their lives had changed so drastically so quickly, with the show and his health issues. He told Fox News Digital just how bad things had become, saying: 

Tarek El Moussa seems to be in a much better place today, as he and Selling Sunset star Heather Rae El Moussa welcomed baby Tristan in January (with Christina Hall sending her congratulations), and the three of them work hard to co-parent Tarek and Christina’s two children. 

They’re also still busy on the home renovation front, even after the end of Flip or Flop. The new parents are set to star in The Flipping El Moussas, which premieres at 8 p.m. ET Thursday, March 2, on HGTV, while Christina Hall just wrapped the first season of Christina in the Country with the network. While they continued on the show after their divorce, the new star of Christina in the Country eventually admitted that, as they moved on in their personal lives (she with Joshua Hall and he with the Selling Sunset star), it didn’t feel “fair” to keep working together so closely. In preparation for the finale, the mom-to-be shared a supportive post, which Hall then posted to her Instagram Stories. Take a look!

It was nice of El Moussa to make sure that she gave Hall a shoutout in her post, considering that half of the success that the former spouses saw with their joint real estate efforts was due to her hard work. Both of the El Moussas, who filmed their 2021 wedding for a special on Discovery+, have been open before about the “work” that’s gone into co-parenting with Hall, as she and Tarek share two children. During a recent interview with “The New Rules” on Today, when asked about creating that relationship, Mrs. El Moussa said:

We saw how they finally came together in May, when one of the kids, Brayden El Moussa, needed emergency surgery, and it seems that, despite the difficulties involved in creating a relationship that works for all involved, Hall (who’s had her share of co-parenting drama this year) and her kids’ step-mom are making it work.

Flip Or Flop: The Final Flip served as the series finale following ten seasons of Flip Or Flop and was advertised to be the final house flipping that exes Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall will do together. As a finale, fans might’ve expected a celebration of the series and the time they shared together. Unfortunately, the end result was a little disappointing, and maybe showed it was best the show ended when it did. 

The duo’s final project was a duplex, which the couple attempted to flip for what would be their biggest profit yet. Let’s dive in, and break down why this series finale wasn’t too reminiscent of the previous seasons.

One might’ve expected there’d be a bit of fanfare or reminiscing since it’s the final episode of Flip Or Flop. While The Final Flip threw in a few throwback clips, there wasn’t much that distinguished this from any other episode of Flip Or Flop. It’s possible neither Tarek El Moussa nor Christina Hall wanted to focus much on the past given their relationship issues and past tensions on the set, but even so, an hour didn’t feel like enough time to say goodbye. 

Notable Past Collaborators Were Missing 

A good series finale sometimes brings back as many cast members as possible, and Flip Or Flop viewers noticed a couple of familiar faces missing from The Final Flip. Some expressed disappointment that Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall went with a new unknown contractor, rather than past contractors they frequently worked with like Izzy Battres or Jeff Lawrence. It would’ve been nice to see either appear for the final episode, and or at least an update for fans curious as to what they were up to. 

Christina Didn't Even Attend The Filming Of The Final Walkthrough

Perhaps the most upsetting part of Flip Or Flop: The Final Flip was that Christina Hall wasn’t even present at the final walkthrough of the home. Tarek El Moussa FaceTimed her, and viewers were treated to a walkthrough of him marching through the house with the camera to his face while they talked about the final result. 

And for all the talk of this project being the biggest flip they would’ve pulled off, the special ended without any confirmation they successfully flipped the house to a buyer. Don’t get me wrong, I know this isn’t entirely uncommon for Flip or Flop or other home renovation shows to do, but given this was the final episode and the hype behind it, I would’ve liked to know. 

Overall it left me with the idea it was best both Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa moved on to other projects, and proceeded with their cordial relationship and co-parenting their children. It's not like we'll never see them in the spotlight again, and it definitely sounds best for them to pursue separate ventures rather than keep the show going. 

Speaking of other ventures, a quick look at our 2022 TV schedule will reveal that Season 4 of Christina On The Coast kicks off on HGTV at 8:00 p.m. ET. The weeks may be winding down before 2023, but there’s still plenty of good television to enjoy!

HGTV is home to a number of beloved shows that focus on real estate or those who renovate houses, but it was still a big blow to fans earlier this year when it was announced that long-time favorite, Flip or Flop, was nearing its last episode after 10 successful seasons. Viewers who love the former hosts of that show, Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa, have had to make do with the other shows they host separately since mid-March, but now fans have been granted a surprise in the form of one last episode being on the way. In celebration, the Christina on the Coast host thanked fans and reminisced about her “journey” to TV stardom.

What Did Flip Or Flop’s Christina Hall Say To Fans After Final Episode Announcement?

Many fans were likely shocked by the reveal that one of HGTV’s most popular shows was coming back, in the form of Flip or Flop: The Final Flip airing on December 1 at 8 p.m. EST. The end of the show seemed to come about rather suddenly, despite the fact that there had been behind the scenes tensions between the divorced couple for several months, and filming of the series reportedly being “too intimate” for both of them. After word came out about the surprise episode, the soon-to-be host of Christina in the Country took to Instagram to talk directly to her fans:

Other hosts on the network, like Erin and Ben Napier of Home Town, have talked about what it was like to be plucked from their normal lives and turned into television stars, just because they had a facility for real estate or interior design. And, with Hall admitting how much work was ahead of them when they got started on their show, it makes sense that she would have a lot of appreciation for everyone who helped them make the show a success, including the fans who continue to support both of their business endeavors to this day. 

The special, and truly final, episode of Flip or Flop will focus on the duo working to turn a “large” and “costly” duplex in Sunset Beach into a marvelous single-family home, which will involve a number of setbacks and a rising price tag. They’ve thanked one another before for all the hard work they’ve each put in, and it definitely sounds like this flip is going to be yet another one for the books, and a great way to finalize all the strides they made together.

Heather Rae Young El Moussa is in love and she doesn't care who knows it (or criticizes it). She and her husband, Flip or Flop and Flipping 101 star Tarek El Moussa, are having a baby together in early 2023. The Selling Sunset star has thrown herself into domestic life since starting a relationship with Tarek, but not all fans are super supportive of how she shares her life online. In fact, recently El Moussa called out a critic who made a pretty bold claim about her relationship with the HGTV star. 

A social media user took to Twitter the other day to make a statement. It was one El Moussa apparently saw online, though she wasn't tagged in the post. What the Twitter user said was this: “Heather Rae Young really made her husband her entire personality.” Young saw the post and decided to address it. 

Tarek and Heather married in the fall of 2021 and had been trying for a baby early on in their marriage. They El Moussas  announced a surprise pregnancy back in July of 2022 and shared some adorable baby shower and gender reveal photos after in which it was announced Baby El Moussa would be a boy. But before they’d even built their little family, Heather Rae Young had shown a devotion to Tarek, and even involved the Selling Sunset star getting a butt tattoo for her partner.  

She doesn’t seem to have any regrets, however, and in recent months has been honest about making sure to surround herself with people who are supportive and not people who will bring her down. In a previous Instagram post, she said of her girl squad:

In this case, Heather El Moussa took the opportunity to set the record straight. The reality TV star seems pretty happy, she and her husband have found paths recently to co-parenting with Christina Hall, and overall the couples seems to be living the life they wants to live. The good news? If that’s annoying, you totally don’t have to follow her on Twitter. 

There’s been a flurry of activity in the life of Christina Hall since she and her ex Tarek El Moussa decided to end Flip or Flop’s reign on HGTV: some good, some not so good. While she quietly married for the third time to real estate agent Josh Hall and appears in total newlywed bliss about it, not long afterwards she shared that they were moving out of their stunning Dana Point, California home that had panoramic views of the Pacific Coast. The 38-year-old flipped it for $1.2 million when she sold it, of course, and is now showing off the family’s new place.

The only downside (at least in my mind) is that the new house in Newport doesn’t have those same jaw-dropping views of the ocean. In a video walk-through of the location on her Instagram, though, Christina Hall proved that views aren’t everything. According to the caption, Hall had manifested all of its finer points – from the massive open floor plan to the floor-to-ceiling glass window facades to the huge backyard swimming pool. However, I do have some questions. Namely, what is a lone mermaid randomly doing in the pool? And what in the world is that metal contraption that is giving me hives just seeing kids playing underneath? Is it an exercise machine or some kind of car lift in the garage…?

I’m still not quite sure, but what I do know is that the new pad is pretty stunning in its own right. The Flip or Flop alum previously revealed that the old pad just wasn’t cutting it for them as a family anymore due to it lengthy 90-minute round trip distance from their friends, schools and businesses. She also shared at the time that the new home is their “long term family home,” so presumably, they won’t be moving again anytime soon.

It all seemingly works out swell, too, where co-parenting is concerned. Christina Hall’s ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and his new wife Heather Rae Young had in fact bought a house together at the end of 2021, also in Newport Beach. Of late, the couple have stated how hard they all work together to make things ideal for the kids in the situation.

Unfortunately, the co-parenting dynamic is not quite the same between Christina Hall and her other ex-husband, Ant Anstead, whom she officially divorced in 2021. Anstead had filed for sole custody of their 2-year-old son Jack in April, claiming that Hall was an unsafe parent who wasn’t present often, which prompted her new husband to speak out in her defense. The judge in the case had denied the petition anyway, and the exes have supposedly since been ordered to do a private mediation to settle things.

Hopefully, the new house promises less issues for all parties involved going forward. And in the meantime, I’ll just be over here dreaming of my future house (still by the beach).

New episodes for the fifth season of Christina on the Coast and its spinoff Christina in the Country are expected to air sometime in late 2022. All past seasons of Flip or Flop, though, are still available to watch with Discovery+ (via Amazon Prime subscription).

Flip or Flop might have come to an end after ten seasons on HGTV over its lead designer wanting to level up, but that doesn't mean Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa can't still serve as a dynamic duo for their kids. And while things haven't always been the smoothest amongst the group, everyone rallied together as a team following the ex-couple’s son being hospitalized for an emergency surgery.

6-year-old Brayden El Moussa was admitted to the E.R. over this past Mother's Day weekend. According to a post on Christina Hall’s Instagram at the time, the youth had to have an emergency appendectomy in order to remove an instance of Meckel’s Diverticulum (a congenital abnormality in the small intestine). She added that all was well and that he was recovering, thankfully, and later took to her Instagram stories to show off her and Tarek El Moussa’s seemingly relaxed co-parenting efforts amidst the “scary” incident. As mentioned above, the former Flip or Flop headliners haven't had the easiest history themselves. After divorcing in 2018, Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa surprisingly continued to produce their show together, though it reportedly caused some serious tension on set. (Some still believe the hosts' strife is the real reason for why the fan favorite HGTV series came to an end.) Why Did Flip Or Flop’s Christina Hall Recently Sell Her House?

As anyone who’s watched Christina Hall in a battle of wits with her ex, Tarek El Moussa, on Flip or Flop will remember, she knows a thing or two about real estate and what elements help to make a home both a joy to live in and easier to sell. So, it should come as no shock that, after redesigning her Dana Point house, Hall was able to put it on the market and make a nice profit. But, if you wondering why she, her three kids, and new husband, Joshua Hall, decided to leave the place with admittedly stunning views behind, she’s now revealed all in a new Instagram post:

As those who pay attention to Hall’s personal life will know, she’s been through a lot of ups and downs in the past several years. After splitting from El Moussa in 2016 and shocking their Flip or Flop fans, she went on to marry Celebrity IOU: Joyride host Ant Anstead in late 2018 and eventually have her third child with him. But, she split from Anstead in early fall 2020, and began dating Hall, whom she married quietly sometime recently, which people only picked up on when she changed her name from Haack to Hall on her real estate license and social media.

Joshua Hall had to stick up for Christina Hall recently after news of their wedding went public, and it looks like they’re doing everything necessary to make sure they can continue to make the perfect life for themselves. Along with the recent move, this also includes them living at her farm in Tennessee at least part of the time, and filming her new HGTV show, Christina in the Country, there. Hopefully, we’ll get to see some of their Newport home before long, as it’s sure to be equally stunning as the one they left behind.

The 38-year-old mother of three shared on her Instagram, in fact, that she has been redesigning her house in Dana Point, California for some time. The accompanying clip in the post shows all the fixins’ that their Flip or Flop clients (and fans) used to love to see as well: exposed beams, open floor plan, marble countertops, the works. Seriously, where can I sign for the deed? Because any place that has panoramic ocean views is my kind of joint! It’s flabbergasting that the star would ever want to give up such a beautiful home herself. But the HGTV alum did imply in the caption that she and Josh Hall are looking to make their next home their own – presuming that this one somehow wasn’t doing the trick.

A representative for Christina Hall confirmed to People that the 5-bedroom house has indeed been sold already. But apparently, the former Flip or Flop headliner will still be staying in Orange County for the foreseeable future, while also using her Nashville property as necessary. Per the outlet, the rooms with all the views supposedly sold for a whopping $11.5 million, which brings in a tidy return of $1.2 million for Hall, who bought it in 2021 for $10.3 million. HGTV viewers would be so proud.

Her physical address and legal name aren’t the only things changing, either. The reality star is also branching out in her work life. She shared in March that she (along with the new hubby) started up a production company of her own, which will be co-producing future seasons of Christina on the Coast and introduce new shows as well (such as her next spinoff called Christina in the Country).

Meanwhile, Christina Hall’s ex, Tarek El Moussa, has likewise been busy with personal matters. He married Heather Rae Young, in a ceremony filmed for TV, last October, and the two have since been very candid about their efforts to get pregnant one day. El Moussa and their nuptials appeared prominently, as a matter of fact, in the fifth season of his new wife’s reality series, Selling Sunset, on Netflix.

So, if it wasn’t clear already, everyone is turning over a new leaf with the conclusion of Flip or Flop. As for myself, after seeing Christina Hall's fabulous former abode, I'm waiting patiently for someone to gift me my dream home by the beach.

This week, news broke that Christina Haack may have married her partner Joshua Hall, a realtor, marking the third time she has been married after wedding and divorcing Tarek El Moussa and Ant Anstead. She and El Moussa split back in 2017 with the divorce finalizing in 2018. That same year she married Anstead, only to split from the Wheelers Dealers presenter in 2020. Haack has been candid about getting divorced a second time. 

Hall and Haack had been dating since July of 2021 and had been engaged since September of last year, so the fact they might get married isn’t exactly a shock. However, they fact the two reportedly managed to do it quietly with the public none the wiser and managed to keep the marriage secret for an indeterminate amount of time is quite the surprise!  

In fact, “sources” close to the couple got TMZ on the sleuthing trail. The outlet then looked into paperwork and found out that Christina Haack has, in fact, changed her name to Christina Hall on her realtor license. This seemingly indicates that at some point Haack and Joshua Hall already got married and started their life together, though it’s totally unclear when this happened.  In fact, the outlet could only confirm the two had tied the knot “sometime over the last six months.” 

At the time of this writing, the HGTV star has not publicly confirmed the news or changed her name on her social handles, but she did share a sweet post with Joshua Hall just a few days ago. That post indicates her man treats her like a “queen.” 

At this point both Christina Hall and Tarek El Moussa seem to be happily remarried, with the latter married to Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young. (Young and El Moussa are also currently on a pregnancy journey.) With this secret wedding news, the timing of the show ending after 10 seasons makes even more sense. Both can move on and move forward now.

The good news? The  HGTV stars may have said goodbye to their namesake show, but they are still in demand as reality stars. Tarek headlines Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa and Christina already has a successful Flip or Flop spinoff with a catchy title, Christina on the Coast. The fourth season of Hall's solo show is currently in the works.

The former Flip or Flop star teased that they will be co-producing “some brand new shows” as well. It’s not clear if those projects are more of the familiar real estate variety or not, but what is clear is that even if the star was too busy to focus on the longtime series that brought her notoriety, she isn’t too busy to take on multiple new ones with Josh Hall.

Did Christina Haack Drop Some Post-Flip Or Flop Shade?

Tell me if I’m wrong here. But given Christina Haack’s commentary in the Flip or Flop finale, the Instagram post seems (once again) a little shady toward Tarek El Moussa, no? In the episode, she remarked how “tired” she was of getting the father of two of her kids to see her vision and that it was “more gratifying” to work solo as a result. And now, she’s gushing about Josh Hall being the best (and perhaps better) collaborator, along with all their new opportunities on the horizon…

Shady or not, more power to her. Tension had been reportedly brewing for some time since that outburst from her ex on the set of the former show, so a change was already speculated to be in order. Tarek El Moussa himself has headlined his own HGTV spinoff, Flipping 101, for two seasons now. He's also had more of a presence on Netflix’s Selling Sunset of late, where his new wife, Heather Rae Young, is a main cast member. In the finale of his former home improvement show, El Moussa affirmed Christina Haack’s decision to end the show, saying that it was “time anyway” while also hinting that there were other projects in store for him and his own partner.

Clearly, it’s the start of a new era for the former Flip or Flop dynamic duo. For the old era, though, fans can revisit the HGTV mainstays on the Paramount+ subscription catalogue.

In the final minutes, the mom of three dropped the bomb on El Moussa that she wanted to end their business together, saying:

Season 10 as a whole had kind of teased their reason for calling it quits, yet Tarek El Moussa claimed to be “surprised” by his ex-wife’s decision. However, he conceded in a confessional that “change can be good for everybody.” Later in the car, with his new wife Heather Rae Young (who has been updating social media regularly about their pregnancy plans), the Flip or Flop star would admit that it was “time anyway” to part TV company. He also took to social media to thank his ex for the decade of great work after the show ended.

There Had Reportedly Been Frequent Trouble On The HGTV Show

Some time before the cancellation of the HGTV show was announced, there was reported tension already between the two lead flippers. First, Christina Haack called out her ex on social media over an episode mix up – which wasn’t too big of a deal considering they usually rib each other on-camera. But when it was revealed that Tarek El Moussa had blew up big-time on-set with Haack, it was taken as the beginning of the end. Alternate reasoning for the ending has suggested that the show was “too intimate of a setting” for the two exes to still be engaging with each other.

Though the long-running HGTV staple is done, it doesn’t mean Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa will be gone for good. Haack’s spinoff on the same network, Christina on the Coast, is slated to release its next season near the end of the year. As you can imagine, it likely was a bittersweet announcement when they had to tell fans Flip or Flop was ending, and right before the final episode, El Moussa took to his Instagram page to thank his ex-wife and share some memories from filming. Take a look!

El Moussa really went down memory lane in his post, and noted exactly how long ago he and Haack decided to try their hands at becoming TV stars. Like he told his followers, though, there probably really isn’t a way to convey, in a few words and photos, just how much of a “wild ride” the past 12 years have been for him, Haack, and even their two young children.

After thanking their fans and many of the people he feels helped him and the show out along the way, El Moussa made sure to give “special” thanks Haack “for taking this journey with me.” It was a lovely thing to do, especially considering that each party supposedly now felt that Flip or Flop was “too intimate of a setting” and they needed “to close that chapter” of their professional lives.

Those who follow news on the series, or El Moussa and Haack, will likely remember that while they decided to continue their show after the breakup and seemed to be getting along pretty well both on camera and behind the scenes, tension was reportedly brewing. In July 2021, El Moussa allegedly gave Haack a lengthy tongue-lashing in front of the Flip or Flop crew, where he lobbed a number of insults at her. That report led to word leaking out about other supposed incidents between them during filming, with it being said that they’d gotten into much more serious disagreements than the one eventually seen in their final episode, even before last summer.

Both Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack have told fans that just because Flip or Flop is now over, it doesn’t mean that it will be the end for them on HGTV (or possibly elsewhere). So, now we get to look forward to whatever it is that each of them have coming up next.

In an early look at the episode obtained by People, the hosts are touring a Spanish-style property and seem to be liking what they find, until they get to the backyard, which has a very large pool that needs a lot of work. 

While doing their joint interview about it, Haack is excitedly talking about the potential of the remodeled yard / pool, as El Moussa is clearly unsettled by the estimated $13,000 to fix it up. While Haack goes on about things they could do with the pool, El Moussa begins to shake his head, eventually saying a quiet, “No,” and beginning to walk away as he says, “Fill it up with water.”

While the entire interaction does seem to be done a bit playfully, it’s exactly those kinds of disagreements that could have led to the duo deciding to call it quits. I can only imagine that, whether or not a disagreement starts a full-blown argument, it’s probably hard to constantly have even the smallest battles with your ex. And on camera, to boot.

As we know, though, while the aftermath of their divorce saw them poke gentle fun at each other’s clothing choices, give good banter on social media and Flip or Flop, and gently call the other out for making mistakes, it was far from fun and games all the time behind the scenes. This was highlighted by a report in late July 2021, that said El Moussa loudly berated Haack in front of the crew, calling her a “washed up loser,” among other insults. That news led to reports of other trouble during filming between Haack and El Moussa.

One of the reasons that Flip or Flop viewers were so surprised about the sudden reveal that the show would be ending with the final Season 10 episode is that Haack and El Moussa decided to continue with their show after they broke up in 2016. It seemed that if they could make it through those first several months working with one another after deciding to end their marriage, that the show could go on indefinitely. But, it looks like working on Flip or Flop really did prove to be “too intimate” for Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa.

Flip or Flop stars Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa delivered a shocking blow to fans earlier this week, when they announced that their home renovation / real estate show was going to end with Season 10. This means that the series finale is coming very soon, with the last episode being set for just a few days from their reveal. Now, we know the alleged reason why Haack and El Moussa are calling it quits after 10 blockbuster seasons.

Why Is Flip Or Flop Ending After 10 Seasons?

It was just on Thursday that both Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa posted statements on their individual Instagram pages to let their millions of fans know that Flip or Flop was entering the end stages of its long life. The final episode will air next week, and while both thanked everyone who helped to make the series such a success, and noted that the news of the show ending was “bittersweet,” neither opened up about why Flip or Flop is coming to a close.

However, according to an anonymous show insider who spoke with People, all of the viewers who’ll be sad to see the show go can probably guess at the main, alleged reason that Haack and El Moussa have decided to end their popular series:

Though it might seem weird to call the setting of a home renovation show “intimate,” many fans probably realize that Haack and El Moussa have been working together under very different circumstances for the past six years than they did when Flip or Flop began in 2013. The duo were married when the show started, but split in 2016, and continued working on the program together even as they started to move on in their personal lives.

Haack married Ant Anstead, host of Celebrity IOU: Joyride, in December 2018, a little over a year after they began dating. Their now 2-year-old son, Hudson, was born in 2019, but the couple broke up less than a year after his birth, in September 2020. Haack has now been engaged to real estate agent Josh Hall since September 2021. Meanwhile, El Moussa married Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young in October 2021, a little over two years after they began dating. 

As the source noted, co-parenting their two children, daughter Taylor, 11, and son Brayden, 6, is their main joint focus, and while fans have seen them battle gently over design options, call each other out when they made mistakes about the show, or poke fun at one other on Flip or Flop since they split, their on-camera banter had remained mostly cordial.

Unfortunately, things have not been quite so nice behind the scenes of Flip or Flop, at least recently. It was less than a year ago, in late July 2021, when reports from the set came out of El Moussa unleashing a verbal tirade on Haack in front of the crew, which allegedly included him calling her a “washed up loser” and noting that his new partner is better looking and wealthier than Haack, among other insults. 

El Moussa was said to have been “super remorseful” about his behavior later, and they both eventually moved on and continued with the show, but the report of his actions led to word spreading that the former couple had previously been forced to film separately or abandoning filming altogether so that they could cool down for a day after disagreements.

It appears that despite their efforts to stay professional so that Flip or Flop could continue, Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa have just realized that the time has come for them to separate their business interests as much as possible, so that their kids are the only thing they need to discuss going forward. 

Flip or Flop has been a defining series for HGTV over its ten seasons, and launched a franchise that has gone on to consist of a number of spinoffs. Now, however, the original show is ending after ten seasons of highs, lows, and uncertainty about the future. Stars and former married couple Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack confirmed the conclusion of the show, and shared their reactions to the end of an era. 

Rumors about Flip or Flop ending began circulating as far back as 2016, around the time of Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack's divorce. They got back in business in 2017, however, and Haack even explained early that year that it's not necessarily weird to work with an ex. Both stars celebrated when their show was renewed for Season 8 in 2018, and Season 9 kicked off in the fall of 2020. 

Now, a few months into 2022, the show is ending with Season 10, and not with a lot of advance notice before the series finale. Christina Haack chose to confirm the news of Flip or Flop ending with a photo of her, her ex-husband, and other members of the team who made the show such a hit. She also explained on Instagram when the end would come and how it feels to say goodbye to a project that has been such a huge part of her life: 

For Christina Haack, the end of the show is "bittersweet," and she dropped the news that the March 17 episode of Flip or Flop next week will also be the last. She didn't clarify whether or not the whole team knew when Season 10 finished filming that it would in fact be the final season, but she clearly has fond memories of pilot that ultimately opened many doors for her in her career. 

In his reaction to the reveal of Flip or Flop coming to a close, Tarek El Moussa chose a photo of him dressed for the kind of work that made him famous on HGTV, complete with gloves, a sledgehammer, and a pair of safety glasses in hand. He also had an Instagram message of gratitude to fans, including their support of him during his cancer battle:

Neither message acknowledged the rumors of tension behind the scenes that followed a reported outburst by Tarek El Moussa during production of Season 10, but both stars have expanded their careers beyond Flip or Flop, and moved on in their personal lives. In fact, the end of Flip or Flop doesn't even necessarily mean the end of their time on HGTV.

Christina Haack has already appeared in two series centered on just her, with Christina on the Coast and Christina: Stronger by Design. For his part, Tarek El Moussa began starring in Flipping 101 with Tarek El Moussa in 2020. Not only has the HGTV star been going through a divorce from her second husband, master mechanic, car designer, and TV host Ant Anstead, but she's had to deal with some mean comments online about the relationship not lasting, and has also been putting up with some recent stress from filming with her other ex-husband, Tarek El Moussa. After revealing that she's now seeing someone new, now Haack has had to call out the haters on a post with her boyfriend.

Christina Haack has been very open on social media with a lot of what's going on in her life, especially since she had to announce her divorce last year. This has included talking to followers about how she's moving on from that divorce, and going Instagram official with her new boyfriend, Joshua Hall, about a month ago. But, Haack has been getting flack from fans for the new romance, and has taken to the social media platform to call out the haters, saying, in part:

The mom of three wrapped up her caption on the post, which is a photo of her with Hall, with a peace sign, and seems steadfast in her desire to not let the external noise of people's judgements about her new relationship get to her. Haack has been dealing with such negative comments from people since she announced her divorce from Ant Anstead in September of 2020, but she's managed to remain open about her life on social media while dealing with the hate.

It was just days after admitting that she and Anstead had split that Haack had to address the spreading of "false stories" and "rumors" about what led to the end of her short-lived marriage to her second husband. People also appeared to have trouble with the timeline of that romance, with Haack and Anstead beginning date less than a year after she split from Tarek El Moussa, marrying eleven months after that divorce was finalized, and having their son about nine months after the wedding.

With her new romance with Joshua Hall, it would seem like people are, once again, bad-mouthing Christina Haack for appearing to move on too quickly. In a previous post, Haack noted that she "may be a bit crazy and I'm definitely not perfect," but said she wasn't going to live her life based on others opinions on what they feel she should do. She also said that she met Hall while not "in a state of fear or fight-or-flight," in an effort to indicate that she believes her head and heart were in the right place before embarking on her new relationship.

Former partners and current Flip or Flop co-hosts Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack made headlines recently when it was alleged El Moussa had a bit of a meltdown on set. At the time, he reportedly said some choice things to Haack, including allegedly calling his ex a “washed up loser.” Now, however, it seems the two have returned to the set to begin filming once more after the HGTV star’s reported tirade.

First, Christina Haack confirmed the news that she was back on set this week, taking to Instagram Stories to reveal a look at her hair all glammed up to film Flip or Flop. (Her profile picture is a similar look.) The co-lead of the series has not spoken out about the on-set incident since it allegedly occurred, but she did share separate posts where she seemed to be the only person making decisions on set for a few days before her co-star was back on set.

People later confirmed that Flip or Flop’s stars began filming together again last Thursday. The original incident had reportedly occurred when Tarek El Moussa had gotten upset with Haack after she signaled an intention to film before he was ready. Reports indicate he was upset with himself about what happened, and now they are back in the thick of things and doing a "Spanish-style flip" together.

When news of the on-set tirade first broke, reports also indicated that the incident wasn’t the first time Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack had gotten heated while filming. And no, I’m not talking overheated by the California sunshine. Instead, production had reportedly had to break up for the day on a few previous occasions to give the couple, who split back in 2017 and were divorced by 2018, some space.

While the tirade may not have been the first or the last time Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack have butted heads on set, this time was notable not only for the publicity it received but also because El Moussa seemingly brought his new fiancée Heather Rae Young into the conversation.

Why Tarek El Moussa And Christina Haack Still Work On Flip Or Flop Together

If the two exes don’t get along, why do they still work together, you ask? Well, part of the charm of the show is that they kind of butt heads about what work needs to be done. There are concerns about money and design choices. The fact the two don't always see eye to eye is precisely why fans enjoy the dynamic on Flip or Flop.

In the past, Tarek El Moussa has also explained his feelings about why Flip or Flop has stuck it out, even after they called it quits on their marriage. He said in 2018 that both of them are on the same page that the show must go on, noting,

The two Flip or Flop stars have already managed to make it through nine seasons of filming together. Production is currently underway for Season 10 and we’ll have to wait and see if HGTV renews the show for Season 11. In the meantime, both stars have moved on from their previous relationship. Haack is dating a new beau Joshua Hall and El Moussa and Heather Rae Young are currently renovating a house together ahead of their own nuptials.

Even though Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa have been divorced for a few years now, the two still work together on their popular HGTV show, Flip or Flop. While they've said before that continuing to work together was the best idea for everyone involved, there have been on-set tensions between the ex-spouses since their 2016 split. According to People, a source close to the situation is now saying that El Moussa does, supposedly, regret his actions, and told the outlet:

There are very few people who would agree to work with an ex, even if they're on decent enough terms with that ex, so it's pretty easy to see how the working relationship between Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa could be a breeding ground for a wide variety of on-set disagreements. But, many would likely say that the way El Moussa allegedly went off on Haack in public was out of bounds, even considering their personal history.

El Moussa was said to have yelled at Haack, calling her a "washed up loser" and declaring that he "made" her and actually enjoys watching her fail. Supposedly, he also told Haack that he's "winning" right now, and compared her to his fiancée of about a year, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young. 

All in all, if things really did get as heated as has been alleged, it's a very good thing that El Moussa now, reportedly, feels bad about the way he behaved on set.

As noted above, this is far from the only time Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa have had the strain of continuing to work with one another show as they attempted to film Flip or Flop. Reputedly, some of their disputes have been bad enough that everything had to stop so that they could shoot segments separately. 

While keeping their hit show going likely brings in good money and exposure for both of them, if the contention continues, they may need to seriously consider whether or not participating in Flip or Flop is still worth the mental toll it might be taking as they try to co-parent and move on in their separate romantic lives.

Hopefully, if Tarek El Moussa really is feeling bad about what he allegedly did to Christina Haack, he'll apologize and try to make things right with her, and they'll be able to have a smoother working relationship going forward.

The two split back in 2017 and officially divorced in 2018 but Flip or Flop has been going strong in the time since. Well, perhaps “strong” is the wrong adjective, as news broke this week that Tarek El Moussa allegedly lost his cool and went off on Christina Haack on set.

Reports from the set of the HGTV show indicate that Tarek El Moussa was not particularly jazzed when Christina Haack reportedly decided to let the crew know she was ready to start filming a recent scene. A verbal tirade came next, with TMZ even reporting that El Moussa made comparisons between Haack and his new fiancee, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young. El Moussa has been engaged to Young since July of 2020.

If true, these comparisons reportedly got pretty intense, with the outlet noting he called Christina Haack a “washed up loser” and noted his own partner is richer and hotter than his ex-wife. Things have been intense between the couple on set before and several times they’ve reportedly had to film scenes separately or cool off for the day. To note, Tarek El Moussa also allegedly told her he's "winning" presumably at the game of life, which is something Charlie Sheen also used to exclaim.

Despite their Flip or Flop co-partnership Christina Haack is arguably -- or maybe even likely -- the larger HGTV personality. She has her own spinoff on the network Christina on the Coast, though Flip or Flop is still a prominent show for HGTV. The third season of Christina on the Coast premiered this summer.

So Why Is Tarek El Moussa Reportedly So Upset Years After Splitting Up With Christina Haack?

Well, she’s been in the news a lot lately. The HGTV star also let fans know in 2020 she would be getting a second divorce, splitting with Ant Anstead, with whom she shares son Hudson. Following that major life change, she began dating Joshua Hall and she recently admitted to smoking toad venom as she was going through all of these life changes.

The thing is, she also shares two kids with Tarek El Moussa, and reports indicate that he’s concerned about what she’s been up to in her personal life and what impact that has maybe had on the kids. Thus the tension on set. It likely doesn’t help that Tarek El Moussa is known to have a little bit of an explosive personality; the reality star’s own split from his Flip or Flop co-star came after Christina Haack thought he might be suicidal after an altercation led him to take a gun and go on a solo hike. The police were called, Tarek told them he'd taken the gun for protection, but the couple split up shortly thereafter. However, their HGTV series continued on. Multiple seasons have filmed since the divorce and subsequent romances came into the picture and, in general, the former couple has still made for good TV.

In the past, the two have spoken out about continuing to film the HGTV show together despite no longer being a couple. They've spoken out in the past about continuing to film and Tarek El Moussa has also explained why he feels the fanbase is so interested in their personal lives. Tarek has said of still working together:

We'll have to wait and see if after this latest incident that still holds true. Flip or Flop is currently filming its 10th season, a milestone for the series. Fifteen episodes are expected to premiere later this year.

Christina Haack, who just split from Ant Anstead last year, might be the Boss Lady of Flip or Flop, on which she and Tarek El Moussa still invest and flip properties as a unit. But the New Boss Lady of El Moussa’s heart headlines one of Netflix’s most popular reality series: Heather Rae Young of Selling Sunset. Much like Haack, El Moussa’s fiancée took the time to also comment on the Instagram post in question, albeit more supportively and with more clapping emojis.

Heather Rae Young and Tarek El Moussa are the epitome of fiancés madly in love, who aren’t afraid to show it on the Gram. In one of El Moussa’s more recent posts, he gushed about his wife-to-be, saying,

In slight contrast, the Selling Sunset star’s posts seem to more regularly incorporate selfies with her testaments to love for Tarek El Moussa. Heather Rae Young shocked the Internet recently when it came to light that she had tattooed “Yes sir, Mr. El Moussa” near her bum. She later explained that the tattoo was “something special” for her fiancé, saying, “Daddy is the boss. I’m the queen of the house. We do it with the kids.”

It’s unclear if Christina Haack had as many words for Heather Rae Young about that tattoo as she did her ex-husband about an episode mix up. Nonetheless, the blended family seem to be making the most out of what others might consider pretty awkward circumstances. Young and the kids are featured in the current season of Flip or Flop, in fact.

It's good that Haack and El Moussa can still get along so well, after what was likely a tough time when they made the decision to split. Of course, it helps that that happened back in spring of 2016, so both of them have had a chance to get used to this new phase of heir relationship, where they are simply friends and co-workers who also co-parent their two young children. Hopefully, he's been able to help Haack through the tough time she's had of late as she deals with another breakup, and she's happy for him being able to move on with his fiancée, Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young.

Christina Anstead recently posted a bathroom mirror selfie of herself sporting an all-black ensemble. Many fans commented on Anstead’s appearance, claiming she looked “sad and thin.” But she insisted to fans in a follow-up on Instagram Live that all was well:

Fans speculated that Christina Anstead’s petite frame must have had something to do with her divorce to Wheeler Dealers host Ant Anstead. Despite the social media side chatter, the queen of drab to fab real estate transformations isn’t down for long. Flip or Flop just closed out its ninth season, and Christina Anstead’s spin-off series, Christina on the Coast, will see its third season this spring.

Flip or Flop and Christina on the Coast star Christina Anstead announced her split from husband Ant Anstead in September after less than two years of marriage. Of course, divorce is never easy and Anstead had to contend with some false stories speculating the reason behind the couple’s breakup. In the month following the news, Anstead is embracing life and choosing to find "peace" after her split.

Christina Anstead’s relationship with Ant Anstead was showcased from time to time on HGTV's Christina on the Coast. Along with her three children – two of which are with her ex-husband and Flip or Flop co-star Tarek El Moussa – the reality star's life seems to be going smoothly. (On the surface, at least.) Anstead recently took to Instagram with a water-filled video post that indicated she has left her worries behind. Here’s what she wrote:

I’m sure that Christina Anstead is going through a lot right now and I’m glad that she’s choosing to take part in activities that make her feel good and appreciative of life, despite any rough patches in her life at the moment. It sounds like Anstead was stressed about the public's (and the tabloids') speculation surrounding her split with Ant Anstead. Now, however, she’s done “playing the game,” whatever that may entail. Perhaps it means she isn't reading into speculation noise anymore, and thus won't be inspired to post responses that could start the cycle all over again.

Alongside the caption, the HGTV star included a video of the ocean she referenced. In it, you can hear the gentle lapping of the waves and Christina Anstead gets a close-up of a large group of dolphins swimming. It’s a rather beautiful and peaceful place for quiet contemplation. Take a look!

While Christina Anstead is no longer with her second husband, she’s still starring alongside her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa in Flip or Flop, which debuted its ninth season on HGTV in August. Anstead says the pair are in a “good spot” and that things have gotten a lot easier now that it’s been four years since their split. El Moussa recently became engaged to Selling Sunset’s Heather Rae Young, so it seems that some things are still going well, despite Anstead’s divorce news.

It has been a wild nine seasons for Flip or Flop. The show’s stars Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa are readying for Season 9 of their HGTV hit, which is to premiere tomorrow (October 15). In the lead-up to kicking off the new run of episodes, Anstead has taken to social media to celebrate the tumultuous ride she has experienced since starting the show.

Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa have stuck with Flip or Flop through thick and thin. Anstead and El Moussa divorced back in 2018 and still kept the show going, managing to star alongside each other despite their split. Anstead and El Moussa have reflected on this very thing in the past. Now, Anstead is focusing on celebrating the new season with this message on her Instagram page:

In spite of the sights and smells, Christina Anstead sounds happy to have proceeded with Flip or Flop. In her message, she acknowledges Tarek El Moussa’s “crazy idea” to embark on their path to HGTV fame. Through the highs and lows, the former couple has managed to maintain steady viewership. It'a something that El Moussa recently credited to viewers, who he says are very invested in their personal lives.

As Christina Anstead mentions in her post, Flip or Flop has been there, as Anstead has gone through motherhood and divorce. She recently announced her split from her second husband, Ant Anstead, with whom she has a young son named Hudson. He and older brother Brayden have both been born since Flip or Flop began airing.

Despite her split from Ant Anstead, Christina Anstead got right back to work on Flip or Flop. Can you imagine filming your HGTV show, promoting its new season, getting divorced, and working with your first ex-husband while being a mother of three? It would probably be an understatement to say that it can't be easy. Flip or Flop premiered back in 2013 and Anstead’s full celebratory post wonderfully pays reverence to the show:

A lot has happened in seven years. While there were some cancellation fears at one point, the show managed to keep flipping instead of flopping. Tarek El Moussa and Christina Anstead have managed to maintain a working relationship in the two years since the Flip or Flop stars were officially divorced following an initial split in 2016. In fact, when ET recently asked about Christina Anstead’s split with new husband Ant Anstead, Tarek El Moussa chose to reflect more on why people are so interested in hearing about he and his former wife's divorces and relationships. He noted that the fanbase has been around for a long time and wants to feel they know the reality stars on more of a personal level.

While Flip or Flop doesn’t touch on Tarek El Moussa and Christina Anstead’s home lives on quite the level it used to given they shared more when they were previously married, both stars also have separate shows on HGTV where they do get a little more personal. Christina Anstead has shared big news on Christina on the Coast and Tarek has his own solo show Flipping 101, with a second season on the way.

As for Tarek’s own take on his former partner Christina Anstead’s split from her new husband Ant Anstead, the Flip or Flop star doesn’t really want to get involved, noting,

After all, Tarek El Moussa and Christina Anstead both still have a show to do together. News broke back in September that the two were back on set and filming Season 9 of the popular HGTV series Flip or Flop for audiences. It should be interesting to see the former couple dealing with real estate during the pandemic and more and I wouldn't be shocked if the new episodes got a little more personal --at least on that topic -- but we'll have to wait and see.

Christina Anstead, for her part, has actually been pretty candid about her second impending divorce. She’s spoken out about dealing with the “false news” stories generated about her divorce and also about being a TV personality who never believed she would be going through a divorce not once, but twice.

Christina and Ant Anstead share one child and will be co-parenting moving forward. Christina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa also share two children, as well as their working relationship. HGTV’s Christina on the Coast is mostly Christina Anstead’s big solo series; however, we have met some of her close circle on the reality show, including bestie Cassie Zebisch -- who has gotten some house updates on the series thanks to her famous pal. Now, as news of Christina Anstead’s big split from Ant Anstead has rolled around the Internet, Zebisch is sharing her feelings on the split and how Anstead has been pulling through during the tough time.

First and foremost, Cassie Zebisch is making it clear that Christina Anstead is “resilient.” She’s also been inspiring Zebisch in recent weeks, with Anstead’s publicist pal defending the HGTV star previously and also noting to People,

Unlike a lot of celebrity personality, Christina Anstead has also been candid about her divorce. She revealed shortly after her split from Ant Anstead that she never thought she’d be someone who was divorced twice or had children with two different dads. She shared feelings of anxiousness and tried to be as honest as possibly about what was happening in her personal life without giving away the details of why the split with Ant Anstead happened.

For Ant’s part, he’s been staying home with Hudson and giving Christina Anstead a little bit of space to travel. In his own social media post, he also reassured fans that he is “doing fine” and that Christina is also “fine.” He noted that he had “remained silent while holding onto hope,” though as days turn to weeks and both move forward apart, the chances of a reconciliation grow slimmer.

In fact, though, because the two are still co-parenting their one-year-old son, they keep in touch. TMZ reported Ant and Christina Anstead were still sharing a home a few weeks ago so they could co-parent, though it’s unclear if that will remain a thing longterm.

Christina Anstead is continuing work over on HGTV, where Flip or Flop finally was able to start filming Season 9 after a long post-renewal wait. Anstead still films that series with her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, so she’s on friendly terms with both of her exes. She also recently left her youngest child at home with Ant Anstead and took her two older kids (from her marriage to El Moussa) to Tennessee where they saw some sights and Anstead may have tried some whiskey.

We’ll likely eventually learn more about the split when Christina on the Coast makes a comeback on HGTV, though Flip or Flop focuses less on the business partners' personal lives now that she and Tarek El Moussa are no longer an item. Recent reports indicate Christina on the Coast is also currently filming Season 3, so the timing on that would lineup with people being interested in what happened between Christina and Ant Anstead.

Now, a friend of Anstead’s is opening up about how she’s handling all of those “false stories” after announcing her divorce.

HGTV viewers who tuned in to watch Christina Anstead on Christina On the Coast were treated to many snippets of her new life with her second husband, their young son, Hudson, and her two kids with ex-husband and Flip or Flop co-host Tarek El Moussa, Taylor and Brayden. The blended family always seemed pretty happy and loving, so it surprised many to hear that they were divorcing so soon, which has led to a lot of speculation about why the Ansteads are separating. Anstead’s best friend and publicist, Cassie Zebisch, has spoken to People about how she’s doing, and noted:

It was just over the weekend that Anstead opened up about what she was going through and had been thinking about her life in the wake of her second divorce. She readily admitted that she was already trying to look into “breaking the pattern of” her tendency “to feel a void and hop into something that causes the feeling I’m used to.” For Anstead, she said that feeling was “a state of anxiousness” which sometimes led to wonderful new things, but could also leave her “crying in my closet.”

Christina Anstead also wrote about people who “may judge me and throw around rumors about me,” but noted that she was now simply working on herself and trying to make sure she focused on her children during this difficult time.

It’s likely that some of the rumors and “false stories” that she and Zebisch have spoken about have to do with the timeline of Anstead’s relationship with Ant. The couple began dating less than a year after her very public split from El Moussa, then married 11 months after that divorce was finalized, with their son being born roughly nine months later.

While Ant has also spoken out about the split recently, noting in an Instagram post that he “never gave up on us,” he also said that “I pray Christina’s decision brings her happiness,” and eventually turned comments off on the post because of people “trying to diagnose from afar.”

It’s pretty clear that people have a lot of opinions about what they feel may have happened in Christina and Ant Anstead’s relationship, but it’s also obvious that neither of them are going to let the negative talk get to them. All we can hope is that both parties can continue to heal and do what’s best for them and their children so that they can all come out of this as better, happier people.

The Flip or Flop co-host recently separated from current husband Ant Anstead, and divorce proceedings are likely imminent. And though she has publicly remarked on the split, the UK-born TV presenter has been keeping a tight lip about the situation, and spoke out about why he'd initially maintained his silence.

Ant Anstead took to social media with a picture of himself and Christina, and explained that his lack of input so far stems from both his innate sense of privacy and perhaps blind faith that they would find a way to get back together. Here's how he put it on Instagram:

Ant Anstead's ongoing show of hope seems to run counter to how Christina Anstead angled the break-up when she first dropped that reveal on fans. At the time, she stated that they had both made the difficult decision to separate from one another, but it does sound like she had a bit more invested in that decision than he did.

Of course, even if he wasn't hypothetically still pining away for Christina, Ant Anstead may very well have wanted to maintain his silence due to the overwhelming majority of people who share every kind of opinion possible on social media and other online forums. For instance, Anstead took to Instagram to celebrate having a "Beautiful Boyz Weekend" with their one-year-old son Hudson, but he later had to curtail comments on the post, and explained his reasoning in the pic's edited caption, which read:

That sentiment sounds a lot more accepting of the situation, in that Ant Anstead's language is more clear about separating himself from Christina. Regardless, it seems clear that the former couple's respective and combined fanbases have been quick to play armchair marriage counselor when it isn't welcomed or appreciated.

Ant Anstead's 16-year-old daughter Amelie and 14-year-old son Archie both live in the U.K. with their mother Louise Herbert. He'd previously been unable to visit with them due to COVID-related travel limitations, but was able to make that trip in August. He and Christina share the one child, Hudson, while she has a 10-year-old daughter and a 5-year-old son with Flip or Flop co-host and ex-husband Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has remained cordial since their own divorce.

The HGTV home renovation host famously divorced first husband Tarek El Moussa while they were working on Flip or Flop, and the two have gone on to continue renovating homes and filming that show together even after the split. While Christina and Ant Anstead do have a young son, it's anyone's guess right now as to whether or not we'll see Ant pop up on Christina on the Coast again, should it get another season. The main thing for Anstead now is to figure out how to move on, and she's starting the process by reflecting on her life over the past few years.

Christina Anstead took to Instagram recently with a lengthy post to share what's been going through her mind as she heads into her second divorce, and after talking a bit about how she got her start working with real estate, went on to open up about her life, saying, in part:

While Christina Anstead didn't directly say that her marriage to Ant Anstead was the result of one of these jumps into something anxiety-producing that she realizes she tends to take, she may at least be wondering at this point if that is a possibility. She goes on to say that while she's grateful for what being on TV has brought to her life, it's also brought her plenty she simply didn't expect, noting:

Hear, hear! This is clearly a very hard time for Christina Anstead, but it does, at least, sound like she's doing the work on herself necessary so that she can piece together the decisions she's made recently with the motivations behind them. It's always tough to do, but will (hopefully) mean that she can come out of this divorce stronger and more aware of what she needs, as well as what her not-so-healthy patterns are, so that she's able to move forward in life with greater ease.
