We are now mere hours away from Bachelor in Paradise making its return to the 2025 TV schedule for its milestone 10th season, and there are a lot of questions about what’s to come. What “newness” will new showrunner Scott Teti bring? Will he succeed where Season 9 failed in producing lasting relationships? Most of all, fans are wondering how the Goldens will fit into everything. Hannah Brown spoke with CinemaBlend, and she shared her honest opinion of combining two generations on the beach.

Former Bachelorette Hannah Brown has joined Season 10 of Bachelor in Paradise and, through her new gig of pouring champagne and acting as “Paradise Relations,” she said she got to witness first-hand the wisdom that The Golden Bachelor alumni bring to the show. Brown told me:

The premiere seasons of The Golden Bachelor/Bachelorette brought a wholesome message to the reality dating space, showing that it’s never too late to find romance, and that regardless of age, everyone is deserving of love and happiness. It sounds like not only will we be able to see the Goldens continue on their own journeys, but we’ll see them share their experiences with the younger generation. Hannah Brown continued:

One of the first questions Bachelor Nation collectively asked upon news that the Goldens were coming to Paradise was whether or not we might see someone cross generational boundaries for an age-gap romance. Host Jesse Palmer and bartender Wells Adams even saw some backlash from Bachelor alumni for expressing “hope” that it would happen.

We'll have to watch to see what goes down, but for her part, Hannah Brown couldn’t get enough of the Goldens, and in fact, she said they “made everything better.” In her words:

It sounds like we’re in for a lot of fun — reports from the set indicated that the Goldens were partying even harder than their counterparts — when the elder generation hits the beach. The first wave of BiP Season 10 cast members contained no Goldens, and it was later revealed they’ll be starting their journey in Episode 3.

Things have felt a bit askew in Bachelor Nation recently with its executive producers exiting the franchise, The Bachelorette going on hiatus and The Golden Bachelor casting another outsider. The reality dating franchise is definitely going through some changes, and Hannah Brown sat down with CinemaBlend to talk about the why fans should be excited for the “newness” they'll see when Bachelor in Paradise hits the 2025 TV schedule. I, for one, couldn’t be happier about one apparent change they’re making.

Former Bachelorette Hannah Brown, whose new novel The Four Engagement Rings of Sybil Rain released June 24, will be pouring the champagne for Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, and while things will definitely be different under new showrunner Scott Teti, she told me that fans are really going to like this balance of old and new, saying:

In addition to relocating to Costa Rica, we already know the Goldens will be among the beach-dwellers, and the first wave of Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 cast members has been announced. But speaking to the “new, exciting feel,” Hannah Brown suggested this season will feature less manipulation from the producers, and I could not be happier to hear that. In Brown’s words:

One of my biggest problems with The Bachelor shows is when it becomes obvious that the producers have manufactured a storyline (like when Aaron Erb produced a fake book to give another contestant on The Bachelorette or when they may or may not have CGI’d a bug into Paradise). I feel like if it’s obviously inauthentic, it stops being fun.

As Hannah Brown said, these people were cast for a reason. They are capable of bringing the drama just by being themselves and interacting with each other on the beach. It sounds like that might be able to happen more than in past seasons. Brown continued:

If this turns out to be true, nobody will be happier than me, as I was definitely hoping for some changes after BiP Season 9. We don’t have much longer to wait now, as Jesse Palmer, Wells Adams and Hannah Brown will start welcoming the singles to the beach in just a couple of weeks. When Bachelor in Paradise returns to the 2025 TV schedule for its 10th season, fans will notice quite a few big changes. For one, production has packed Salley Carson's suitcase and moved out of Sayulita, Mexico, and when the Bachelor Nation singles reach their new home in Costa Rica, they’ll be greeted by a familiar face. Hannah Brown has signed on in a surprising new role that has me really excited for the spinoff.

Jesse Palmer is still expected to appear as the Bachelor in Paradise Season 10 host, with Wells Adams presumably taking his usual spot behind the bar. This time, though, they'll be joined by Hannah Brown, who will reportedly be stationed in the all-new Champagne Lounge. The former Bachelorette opened up about what exactly she’ll be doing (other than pouring the bubbly), telling US Weekly:

Hannah Brown is one of the most famous Bachelor alums of all time, and I'm thrilled that we're going to get more of her on our screens. The fact that this is happening in a new Champagne Lounge speaks to just one of what I expect to be several big changes to the format, with Scott Teti joining as the new showrunner.

It was confirmed at Grant Ellis’ Bachelor finale that Golden contestants will be joining the new Bachelor in Paradise season, so I’m wondering if maybe Hannah Brown’s lounge is a quieter, shadier (maybe even — dare I say it — air-conditioned?!) spot for the more senior members of the cast.

So many details have yet to be revealed, but I’ll be happy to have Hannah Brown in whatever capacity. It sounds like she’s equally excited to return to Bachelor in Paradise, where she’s made cameo appearances and hosted dates in past seasons. She continued:

It’s exactly that honesty mixed with compassion that has Jesse Palmer thinking Hannah Brown’s going to fit in so well on Season 10. He said in his own US Weekly interview:

The host also hyped the new location, saying Costa Rica brings a whole new feel to Bachelor in Paradise Season 10.

Bachelor in Paradise hit new lows in Season 9 with major plots including a “poop baby” (who thought constipated contestants would make for good TV?) and all of the couples breaking up pretty much as soon as they were contractually allowed to. Now with a fresh crew behind the scenes, the new locale, Golden contestants to mix it up and the great Hannah Brown coming on board, I could not be more excited to see what Season 10 brings.

No premiere date has been announced yet, but Jesse Palmer said to expect it to air this summer on ABC and streaming the next day with a Hulu subscription.

Spoiler alert! This story contains spoilers for all episodes of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 3 through January 15’s “Terror” and “Brotherhood.” You can catch up by streaming episodes with a Hulu subscription.

It feels like the third season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test has barely begun airing on the 2025 TV schedule, and already a ton of celebrities have been booted. From the recruits so far, we’ve seen anticlimactic exits — like that of proud grandpa Stephen Baldwin, who was disqualified after voicing concerns about being injured — as well as scary medical withdrawals from athletes like Marion Jones-Thompson and Landon Donovan. As a fan of The Bachelor franchise, I’m devastated that we’ve also already lost both Ali Fedotowsky-Manno and Trista Sutter, but my reason is deeper than simply not getting to watch them on the show anymore.

The fact that both Trista Sutter and Ali Fedotowsky-Manno have withdrawn from the Fox competition show — and so early in the season — is so disappointing to me because of how well Bachelor Nation alumni have done historically on Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. In fact, before this season, every Bachelor/Bachelorette contestant who’s been on this show has won it — Hannah Brown in Season 1, and Nick Viall and Tyler Cameron in Season 2.

I'm really bummed that the finger injury suffered by Ali Fedotowsky-Manno — who appeared on Jake Pavelka’s season of The Bachelor before becoming The Bachelorette in Season 6 — put an end to the dating franchise’s dominance on Special Forces. You could tell how disappointed she was at having to medically withdraw, which made it all the more painful for fans to watch.

She was followed shortly after by one of the franchise’s most famous contestants, Trista Sutter, who was the runner-up on Season 1 of The Bachelor and went on to become the very first lead of The Bachelorette. Trista is still married to the guy she met on that show, Ryan Sutter, and who can forget the mess he made this past summer when Trista “disappeared” to film Special Forces? Her exit came after she reportedly went into hypothermic shock after a challenge. Trista told TV Insider:

That sounds actually really serious, and even in the disappointment over losing our Bachelor Nation representatives, nobody can argue that both were valid withdrawals. It just would have been so cool to continue the trend of the dating show contestants owning a competition that’s so physically and mentally demanding.

After hearing the literal torture that former Bachelorette Hannah Brown endured during the final interrogation of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test, I’m not sure how anybody would volunteer to partake in the show. Sure enough, however, Season 2 came along featuring former Bachelor Nick Viall and Tyler Cameron, who was the runner-up on Hannah Brown’s season. Both made it through the interrogation that capped that season.

We’ll have to see who’s got what it takes to complete Season 3, but for Bachelor Nation, it’s a hard pill to swallow that it won’t be one our own this time around. Kaitlyn Bristowe

Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor before starring in her own season of The Bachelorette. After the dating show, Bristowe went on to appear in and win Dancing with the Stars Season 29. She has a popular podcast Off the Vine, started her own wine label called Spade and Sparrows, and even released a single, “If I’m Being Honest,” in 2020. Bristowe remained so beloved by Bachelor Nation that she was chosen to return to the mansion as co-host of Katie Thurston’s season following Chris Harrison’s exit.  

Jillian Harris

After appearing on The Bachelor and leading her own season, Jillian Harris made a name for herself in the interior design world. She starred on HGTV’s Love It or List It, Too and was a designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2010. She maintains a strong social media presence with her brands Jillian Harris Design and The Jilly Box, and also provides small business coaching through The Jilly Academy. She is the co-author of the plant-based cookbook Fraiche Food Full Hearts. 

Bob Guiney

Bob Guiney was a contestant on the first season of The Bachelorette before becoming the fourth Bachelor. He rode his television fame to a gig with Game Show Network, hosting GSN Live for three years, in addition to some other TV appearances. In 2003 he published the book What a Difference a Year Makes: How Life's Unexpected Setbacks Can Lead to Unexpected Joy about his reality TV experience, and nearly 20 years later he became the co-host of the Almost Famous OGs podcast. 

Nick Viall

Since his time on The Bachelor, two seasons of The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, Nick Viall has continued to make a name for himself outside of the reality dating realm. His podcast The Viall Files hosts some of the biggest names in reality TV and pop culture, and in addition to doling out advice to his listeners, he published a book in 2022, Don’t Text Your Ex Happy Birthday. Viall has continued in the reality TV realm, appearing on Dancing with the Stars Season 24 and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 2, which he won. He’s also dabbled in acting, with appearances in series including Teachers and Speechless. 

Peter Weber

Peter Weber was a contestant on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette and then led a season of his own. While maintaining a job as a pilot following his dating show career, Weber obtained a strong social media following and ended up starring in Season 2 of The Traitors, which can be streamed with a Peacock subscription. 

Arie Luyendyk Jr.

After making his Bachelor Nation debut on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette, Arie Luyendyk Jr. became infamous for the controversial finale of his season of The Bachelor, in which he broke up with Becca Kufrin to reunite with his runner-up Lauren Burnham. He and Lauren maintain a popular YouTube channel, and Luyendyk returned to TV in Season 1 of The Traitors. 

Rachel Lindsay

After her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay has continued to make a name for herself. She worked as a correspondent for Extra until 2023, hosted the MTV series Love Gone Missing, and has hosted multiple shows on ESPN, including First Take and Football Frenzy. Lindsay hosts a podcast with Van Lathan called Higher Learning, and she’s published two books, Real Love: A Novel and Miss Me With That: Hot Takes, Helpful Tidbits, and a Few Hard Truths. 

Tyler Cameron

Tyler Cameron may not have won Hannah Brown’s heart on The Bachelorette, but he proved to have lasting star power. Since the dating show, he has been linked to women including fashion model Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner’s BFF Stassie Karanikolaou, and Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari. He appeared in the Netflix film Good on Paper and made a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live in a sketch with Kim Kardashian. He’s also appeared on other reality shows The Real Dirty Dancing, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 2 (which he won), and Going Home with Tyler Cameron, a home renovation show available to stream with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Jesse Palmer

Since starring on The Bachelor in Season 5, former NFL quarterback Jesse Palmer has been honing his skills in both the sports and hosting worlds. He’s served as a college football and NFL analyst for major networks including ESPN/ABC, Fox Sports, and the NFL Network. He was a contributor for Good Morning America and has hosted series including The Ultimate Surfer, The Proposal, Spring Baking Championship, Food Truck Face Off, Bakeaway Camp, and Holiday Baking: Gingerbread Showdown. Oh yeah, and he replaced Chris Harrison as The Bachelor franchise host. 

Jordan Rodgers

After winning JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, Jordan Rodgers — a former quarterback and brother of Aaron Rodgers — has become a football analyst for networks including ESPN and the SEC Network. He and Fletcher hosted the reality show Cash Pad, the Paramount+ series Battle of the Fittest Couples, and their own reality dating show, The Big D. 

Jake Pavelka

Jake Pavelka is another reality star who appeared on both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, as well as the spinoff Bachelor Pad. He kept the reality TV train on the tracks with appearances on Dancing with the Stars Season 10, Famous Food on VH1, H8R on The CW, and the Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off. He’s also done a bit of acting, appearing on Drop Dead Diva and The Bold and the Beautiful. 

Courtney Robertson

After Courtney Robertson won Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor, she released a memoir about the experience, I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain. The model has since competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and made an appearance on Mad TV. She is the host of After Reality, a podcast where she interviews fellow former reality stars. 

Colton Underwood

Following Colton Underwood’s shocking fence-jump moment on The Bachelor Season 23, the football player ultimately came out as gay, telling his story on the docuseries Coming Out Colton (available to stream with a Netflix subscription). He has since gotten married to political strategist Jordan C. Brown and published the book The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV. 

Tayshia Adams

One of the Season 16 Bachelorettes, Tayshia Adams, is one of the many Bachelor Nation members who has parlayed her experience into a career as an influencer. In addition to several brand deals, she partnered with Amaryllis Apparel to launch a clothing line and Conair for hair accessories. She’s also continued to make TV appearances, guest-hosting Entertainment Tonight and E! Daily Pop, co-hosting a season of The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe, and competing on The $100,000 Pyramid.

Hannah Brown

After making it to Hometowns on Colton Underwood’s season and then leading a season of The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown went on to win Dancing with the Stars Season 28 and later Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 1. She released a memoir God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life's Best (and Worst) Moment and has begun penning romance novels. 

JoJo Fletcher

JoJo Fletcher has continued to make a name for herself outside of Bachelor Nation, launching the clothing line Fletch in 2018 and teaming up with Cupshe in 2022 for a swimwear line. She and her husband Jordan Rodgers have gone on to host the reality series Cash Pad, Battle of the Fittest Couples, and The Big D. 

Madison Prewett

Madison Prewett has maintained a strong social media presence since appearing on The Bachelor as Peter Weber’s runner-up. She married Grant Troutt, son of billionaire businessman Kenny Troutt, and has published two books — Made for This Moment and The Love Everybody Wants with an accompanying Bible study course. 

Wells Adams

After appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, Wells Adams found love with Modern Family star Sarah Hyland but stuck around the dating show anyway, serving as the BiP bartender. He has competed on Celebrity Game Face, Worst Cooks in America, and Celebrity Family Feud and co-hosts two podcasts — Your Favorite Thing with Brandi Cyrus and Two Dudes in a Kitchen with Tyler Florence. 

Trista Sutter

Not only was Trista Sutter on the very first season of The Bachelor, but she went on to star in the inaugural season of The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars Season 1 after that. She has continued to make guest appearances on the Bachelor Nation series, including The Golden Bachelor, and has also appeared on Fear Factor, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. She released the memoir Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart in 2013 and later became the co-host of the Almost Famous OGs podcast alongside Bob Guiney.

Jamie Otis

Jamie Otis started her reality TV career on The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad but is better known for marrying Doug Hehner on Married at First Sight. The couple later starred in their own spinoff Married at First Sight: The First Year. She has also launched her own jewelry line and wrote the book Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong About Finding Mr. Right. 

Melissa Rycroft

After her time on The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft competed in Seasons 8 and 15 of Dancing with the Stars. Along with the podcast Logically Irrational, Rycroft’s other ventures include a CMT reality show Melissa & Tye with her husband Tye Strickland, multiple appearances on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, and hosting Redneck Island. 

Ali Fedotowsky 

Ali Fedotowsky appeared on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, accumulating a strong social media following afterward. She has since served as a judge at the 2012 Miss USA Pageant, hosted NBC’s 1st Look, been an E! News correspondent and co-hosted the Home & Family talk show. She also competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. 

Keltie Knight

After a short stint on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor, Keltie Knight (née Busch) continued her climb to fame as a correspondent for CBS’ The Insider, before moving to Entertainment Tonight. She then went to E! News as the chief correspondent and later co-host of the entertainment news program. She co-created the LadyGang podcast, which was eventually turned into a TV series on E!, and she’s also one of the minds behind the game show Superfan.  

Ben Flajnik

For the most part, Ben Flajnik went back to his winery following his time on The Bachelorette and leading The Bachelor, but he stayed in the headlines due to an appearance on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and rumors that he was having an affair with Kris Jenner. 

Lauren Bushnell Lane

After accepting a proposal from Ben Higgins on The Bachelor, Lauren Bushnell starred with her fiancé in their own reality show on Freeform, Ben and Lauren, Happily Ever After? It, in fact, wasn’t happily ever after, and Bushnell went on to marry country music star Chris Lane. She has since maintained a successful career as an influencer. 

Mike Johnson

America fell in love with Mike Johnson on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, to the point that he almost became the next Bachelor. Instead, however, he appeared on Bachelor in Paradise before going on to compete on Celebrity Family Feud. He also co-hosted Bachelor Nation’s Talking It Out podcast alongside Bryan Abasolo. 

Catherine Giudici Lowe

After getting engaged to Sean Lowe on The Bachelor, Catherine Giudici said “I do” on live TV, in a wedding special that aired on ABC a year later. The couple has since appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer. Catherine has a strong social media presence, and found success with brands like LoweCo stationary and the furniture line Home by Sean and Catherine Lowe. 

Andi Dorfman

Andi Dorfman has built an impressive following since appearing on The Bachelor and starring on The Bachelorette. In addition to her two books — It’s Not Okay and Single State of Mind — she started a clothing line for runners called Andorfins. She has competed on both Celebrity Family Feud and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. 

Hannah Godwin

Hannah Godwin increased her social media following after appearing on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise through her work as a model, YouTuber and TikTok celebrity. In addition to several endeavors as an influencer, Godwin created the Setty photo filter app. 

Becca Kufrin

Many people came to know Becca Kufrin for the brutal breakup she endured at the hands of Arie Luyendyk Jr. on The Bachelor, especially after it was parodied on Saturday Night Live (with Cecily Strong portraying Kufrin). She not only went on to star on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, but she hosted the official Bachelor Nation podcast Bachelor Happy Hour for three years and served as the emcee of the “Bachelor Live on Stage” tour. Kufrin is the creator of Bourdon wines and Improv booze-free cocktails. 

Sean Lowe

Sean Lowe came to fame on The Bachelorette before starring on The Bachelor, and he followed his reality dating experiences with a live wedding special and appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Family Feud, Celebrity Wife Swap, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. He published his memoir For the Right Reasons: America's Favorite Bachelor on Faith, Love, Marriage, and Why Nice Guys Finish First in 2015. 

Ashley Iaconetti

In addition to appearing on The Bachelor, two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor Winter Games, Ashley Iaconetti has been seen on Celebrity Family Feud and Million Dollar Matchmaker. She’s made numerous TV appearances and worked as a correspondent for Access Hollywood, as well as hosted the Almost Famous podcast with Ben Higgins and the I Don’t Get It podcast with her sister Lauren. Iaconetti and her husband Jared Haibon co-authored the children’s book Lucy & Clark: A Story of Puppy Love.

Not all of The Bachelor contestants were successful in finding love, but it’s nice to see that many of them were able to use the experience to find fame and develop their careers. 

The Bachelor/Bachelorette don’t have the greatest track record for the couples they produce staying together, but that doesn’t keep fans from watching the shows. It also doesn’t make us any less interested in the contestants’ love lives — even if those happy endings are found away from the cameras. Such is the case for Hannah Brown, who led Season 15 of The Bachelorette in 2019. After dating Colton Underwood on The Bachelor, having lots of windmill sex on her season, and then ending her engagement to Jed Wyatt in dramatic fashion, Brown opened up about finally finding love — on a dating app.

Hannah Brown went public with her boyfriend Adam Woolard on Valentine’s Day 2021, and they moved in together in Santa Monica a little over a year later. In March of this year, the couple revealed they’d relocated to Nashville. On her podcast Better Tomorrow, the reality star — who, along with the ABC dating shows, appeared on and won Dancing with the Stars Season 28 and well as the first season of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test — went back to where it all started with Woolard. She described having an atypically short experience with the dating apps, saying: 

Leave it to Hannah Brown to find love within just a week or two of joining the apps. How very Bachelorette of her! It turns out Adam Woolard, however, didn’t have the same luck, as he recalled a “humiliating” and “humbling” experience right before meeting Brown. Woolard described having a dinner date planned with a woman who was seeing a different guy earlier that day (seriously, their lives are just The Bachelorette). However, that woman “fell in love” with her morning date, Woolard said, and completely stood him up.

He said his next date was with Hannah Brown, so it sounds like it all worked out the way it was supposed to. 

Bachelor Nation is used to breakup news coming out about our favorite couples, but this week has been a good one, with not only Hannah Brown speaking about her real-life journey to love, but Gabby Windey revealing her own new relationship. The Season 19 Bachelorette came out on The View, before introducing the world to girlfriend Robby Hoffman on Instagram.

Hopefully we’ll have another new couple to celebrate in coming weeks, as Charity Lawson nears the end of her own journey on the current season of The Bachelorette. Overnight dates are coming up on August 14, and one ABC executive is hyping up the episode, saying it’s as good as anything he’s ever seen on the show. Flash-forward to the finale, and I'm not sure this Fox series can get enough celebrities for another season if the potential participants witnessed what Danny Amendola, Dwight Howard, Carli Lloyd, and Hannah Brown had to endure. In the end, only two of those four made it through to the end of the ten-day program, and Brown and Lloyd confirmed to CinemaBlend that the final leg was just as intense as it seemed. 

The final interrogation challenge Special Forces: World's Toughest Test was absolutely brutal. Participants had to memorize a cover story they learned long before their capture and repeat it to their captors while they endured various tactics to break their will. This included being frequently doused with water, denied sleep, and left in a container while being subjected to loud and disturbing noises for several hours. I asked both women how they managed to go through that without losing their wits, and former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown confirmed she almost did while detailing her experience:

Hannah Brown has proven to the world she's a strong person several times over, but to be the only non-athlete to be in the final day of Special Forces: World's Toughest Test was truly something else. Brown crushed it, and I'm guessing she could crush any other reality show from here on out, especially with a Dancing With The Stars win on her resume as well. 

Carli Lloyd is an Olympic gold medalist and Fifa World Cup champion, but she confirmed to CinemaBlend that she struggled just as much in the final stage as Hannah Brown. Lloyd even believes she might've blacked out at some point during the interrogations because there are chunks from what she saw in the episode she couldn't remember:

Both Carli Lloyd and Hannah Brown showed throughout the process that they were able to endure the mental toughness of the trials in a way their fellow contestants could not. Danny Amendola's shoulder injury, combined with the stress of the interrogation tactics, finally led to his voluntary withdrawal. Amendola seemed like a sure bet to complete the program but ultimately couldn't handle the mind games.

Dwight Howard suffered the same fate, though he was removed from the program when he told his interrogator he was "ready to die" during the final hours of interrogation. Howard claimed he made the comment because the female interrogation officer was annoying him. The former NBA superstar was also found on the floor of the holding container and unresponsive prior to that incident but was later cleared after being checked by a medic. 

The credits rolled on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, and now the wait is on for if the series will return for Season 2. CinemaBlend already confirmed Dr. Drew Pinsky would like another shot at competing, but as previously mentioned, I would be curious to see who else would willingly sign up. Between Kate Gosselin's neck injury and Gus Kenworthy suffering a medical emergency mid-challenge, this is not a show for the faint of heart. As a viewer at home who doesn't have to participate, though, I'm definitely on board to see another batch of celebrities try to see if they can make it through!

Special Forces: World's Toughest Test is over at Fox, but anyone with a Hulu subscription can relive all of it from start to finish. I highly recommend anyone that missed out do so, as knowing the ending does not even come close to doing justice to what all these celebrities endured. 

Former Bachelor Colton Underwood has been back in the pop culture conversation lately, with his new docuseries Coming Out Colton having premiered on Netflix. Along with being called a liar by some fellow Bachelor Nation alumni, he and the women who dated him have also had to again face questions about whether they knew Underwood was gay when he was dating dozens of women simultaneously on The Bachelor. Hannah Brown, who competed on Underwood’s season before leading her own season of The Bachelorette, has shared her perspective on what went down.

Hannah Brown opened up on The Michelle Collins Show, revealing that the women on Colton Underwood’s season were perhaps more perceptive than Underwood realized, and she herself had to recalibrate her expectations the more she got to know him.

Hannah Brown made a good point in saying any lack of spark between Colton Underwood and his contestants didn't automatically mean he was gay, just that he wasn't what they expected, nor a good romantic match. (For obvious reasons.) On The Bachelor, the contestants actually get very little time with the lead while they're dating, so it probably took time to get to know Underwood away from who they expected him to be.

Reception for Coming Out Colton has not been 100% positive from Bachelor Nation, either, with Colton Underwood’s fellow Bachelor leads Ben Higgins and Nick Viall accusing Underwood of lying about the lack of support he received from those in the franchise when Underwood came out this year. Tayshia Adams, current co-host of The Bachelorette and one of Underwood’s finalists on Season 23 of The Bachelor, was upset that he allegedly lied about their Fantasy Suite date, saying on his Netflix series that he slept in sweatpants to avoid sending the wrong message. 

But although Hannah Brown said she does have mixed feelings about the situation, as well as the docuseries itself, in the end she’s happy for Colton Underwood in that he’s able to live his truth.

The mixed reactions are definitely understandable — for Hannah Brown and all of the women on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor — since they all were presumably on the show in hopes of finding a husband. But it’s definitely kind of Brown to support Underwood in his journey of finding himself.

The road to love is well-documented to not be easy in the Bachelor franchise. More often than not, the lead and the final rose winner go their separate ways after a season. Such was the case for Hannah Brown (The Bachelorette, Season 15) – in jaw-dropping fashion, I might add – who ended up reuniting with Tyler Cameron after the show, although the details were never entirely clear. Cameron caught some flak for being spotted with model Gigi Hadid around the same time. Now he's clearing the air about his questionable dating timeline.

Bachelor Nation fans will recall that Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season definitely did not go as expected. After many weeks of canoodling, she chose contestant Jed Wyatt for the final rose over Tyler Cameron. But it eventually came to light that Wyatt had a girlfriend the whole time. Even worse, Cameron came back into the picture and supposedly was running the same game on Brown, only with the beautiful and famous Gigi Hadid. But in Cameron's newly released memoir – You Deserve Better: What Life Has Taught Me About Love, Relationships, and Becoming Your Best Self – he claims the timeline wasn't as shady as people think. He wrote (via US Weekly):

In 2019, Tyler Cameron and Hannah Brown were spotted together in Los Angeles. Fans were in a particularly giddy uproar when it was reported that Cameron spent the night at Brown's house. Cameron confirmed in his memoir that he had been at her place and then, two days later, was on a date with Gigi Hadid in New York City.

According to Tyler Cameron's telling of the drama, though, The Bachelorette’s Hannah Brown knew that he was going to be seeing other people. He explained:

For her part, Hannah Brown played off Tyler Cameron and Gigi Hadid’s short-lived romance at the time. She told US Weekly that single life was “great” and that she wasn't too focused on finding a man. Cameron reflected on her public response to the kerfuffle in his memoir, saying,

Alas, complications and miscommunications arise all the time within Bachelor Nation. Just ask Clare Crawley. Even more recently, in the last season of The Bachelor, Matt James had to publicly distance himself from final rose winner Rachael Kirkconnell after racially insensitive photos came to light (which became the catalyst for Chris Harrison’s departure as host). Months later, the two managed to work things out and are currently dating.

Apparently, these days Hannah Brown and Tyler Cameron are still good friends. But it's doubtful that Cameron and Gigi Hadid are, given she's been back with Zayn Malik for some time and the two had their first child earlier this year. Some things are just better left in the past, or in a juicy memoir.

Hannah Brown made a name for herself on ABC thanks to her stints on The Bachelor and as leading lady of The Bachelorette, but her latest big move didn't involve distributing roses. Brown recently helped save a man who fell in the river after his raft flipped, and the unexpected incident was caught on video. A camera was mounted on the helmet of the man who needed help, and it reveals a side of Hannah Brown that she never showed in Bachelor Nation.

The man's girlfriend, who uses the social media handle Quintnugget, posted the video on Instagram. Take a look:

As it turns out, Hannah Brown and her family were rafting on the Ocoee River in Tennessee at the same time as the woman and her boyfriend, when the raft flipped and sent the group into the water. The caption to the video fortunately confirms that the man wasn't actively drowning and everybody involved was okay other than getting beat up by the rocks, and the flipped boat clearly wasn't so traumatizing that Hannah Brown's rescue wasn't "AWESOME."

News that Hannah Brown had helped the man actually hit social media on June 13, when the woman shared "how fun" it was that the Bachelorette star had saved her boyfriend. The woman also clarified that her boyfriend was never drowning or suffocating, but that Brown pulled him onto her raft as he was being carried downstream. She then shared the full story on Twitter, posting:

Apparently, Hannah Brown's celebrity status didn't even hit the woman at first, and she had to be told that Brown had been the star of The Bachelorette and then gone on to appear on and ultimately win the latest season of Dancing with the Stars. Brown's face was all over ABC in 2019 thanks first to Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, then The Bachelorette and then finally Dancing with the Stars. Who would have expected to randomly meet her while rafting on a river in Tennessee?

Hannah Brown recently found herself in figurative hot water after she was caught on camera using a racial slur when singing along to DaBaby's "Rockstar." Brown did go on to apologize for using the slur and promise to do better in the future. Bachelorette alum Tyler Cameron, who vied for Brown's heart before she went for Jed "Wrong Reasons" Wyatt, spoke up about the controversy.

Bachelor Nation has been mired in controversy due to its failure to cast a black lead in any of its seasons aside from Rachel Lindsay's run as The Bachelorette back in 2017, but The Bachelor has since cast Matt James as the first black Bachelor. Hannah Brown is presumably done with Bachelor Nation for the time being, not least because there was no Bachelor in Paradise in 2020. For now, she can stick with saving rafters!

If I were able to start this editorial by having you all hear my many audible sighs of the past several weeks, believe me, I would do it. As it stands though, I'm going to have to put all my opinions and feelings into words for you, so, if you're a proud member of Bachelor Nation, buckle up. I can't watch these shows anymore, not unless they begin to cast non-white leads on a regular basis.

There is A LOT going on right now. So much so, that I can admit to sometimes being at a loss as to how to do anything normal anymore, even when I get the chance. Right as I reported for work this morning, I was given the assignment of writing about former star of The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay, and how she's finally speaking out about the lack of diversity in the franchise, and her willingness to say that she won't be a part of it anymore, unless real change is made and we get non-while leads, especially for Season 25 of The Bachelor, which should air next year.

I say I was "given the assignment" because I didn't just jump on the Rachel Lindsay news this morning, even though I've written tons about The Bachelor and its many shows and personalities for over a year now. Why? Honestly, while I agreed with her sentiments, I just didn't feel like thinking about it too hard.

I didn't want to think about The Bachelor hard enough to remind myself that, in a combined 40 seasons and 18 years of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay is still the only non-white lead that we've had (and that just happened in 2017). I didn't want to think about it hard enough to relate what happens on a series as willfully silly as any Bachelor franchise show to racism. I didn't want to think about it hard enough, specifically, to have to also think about the senseless murders of so many black people at the hands of those who have, theoretically, sworn to protect them any more than I already have.

I wanted, this morning, to just try to get on with my fucking life. But, I couldn't and none of us really can, not with the way things are going right now. So, when I asked our TV Editor if he wanted me to take Rachel Lindsay's story, and he said he did, I took it. And, what I realized very quickly, after listening to about 10 minutes of Rachel's interview, was that I can't keep watching The Bachelor unless the producers make some real changes, and keep changing.

How I Started Watching The Bachelor

For some background, you should know that I am not any kind of longtime Bachelor stan. I've thought the whole thing lived in an odd TV land where a show can be ridiculous, but also ridiculously repugnant, for most of its time on the air. Not only did I not watch Season 1 of The Bachelor, I didn't tap in to the franchise until Season 13 of The Bachelorette. If you haven't been keeping track of which season starred which woman, make no mistake about this one. That's right, I started watching The Bachelorette because Rachel Lindsay was chosen to lead the show in 2017.

So, I watched along as Rachel tried to (and did) find love on the show. But, while I was captivated by her search immediately, I said nothing to anyone about watching her season. Not even to the people who work on this site with me, because I was sure I'd be forced to continue watching and write about the antics of too many young white people who are 100% not ready to get married and just want to be famous. I was going to be one and done with this bullshit, because I had no doubt that Rachel was going to lead a show, and then we weren't going to see any additional leads of color.

I stuck to my guns, for a time, and didn't watch anymore of this madness until Becca Kufrin's Bachelorette season a year later (there had been a Bachelor in Paradise season and one season of The Bachelor in between). Then, I was off to the races with it. I'd paid my penny and was in for a pound. But, as many Bachelor Nation fans of color will likely agree with, there was always an icky feeling, an undercurrent of injustice, to it.

As I kept watching white people look for love season after season, that feeling of wrongness continued, but I kept pushing it aside. I was having fun, and I kept letting things like fence jumps and windmill sex dominate my absolute certainty that we should be able to tune in to this franchise and watch some brown folks lead this insanity.

Mike Johnson Should've Been The Next Bachelor

Then, that nagging feeling got really bad toward the end of last summer. Last year, black man extraordinaire Mike Johnson appeared on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette. As one of Hannah's many suitors, Mike was always upstanding in every way. He was kind, sensible, always ready with a gorgeous smile, understanding but able to voice his opinions/feelings calmly and clearly, and he never got roped into aggressive disagreements with her other suitors.

Hannah really liked Mike, and I wasn't the only audience member who liked Mike, either. There was a vocal group who championed him as the next Bachelor on social media once Hannah sent him home (I would say this was a big mistake, but considering her recent behavior, it's clear she's got a lot to learn before having a serious relationship with anyone who's not white), and who said it was way past time for another black lead, and the first such lead of The Bachelor, the flagship show, in particular.

Despite seeming like an all around stand-up guy, being good looking, and not appearing to have any skeletons hiding in his social media (or legal) closet, Mike did not get the gig. After an unimpressive showing on Bachelor in Paradise last year, where I believe he was purposely given the most boring as hell edit so that the attention around him and call to have him as Bachelor would die down, we were treated to another white dude, who would (sort of) bang his way through a bevy of women.

I had hope that Mike would be the next lead, but never really thought it would happen. Let's think about the optics here, there are many people in this country who will be OK with a black woman having some white men at her beck and call, and many more who will be just fine with a white woman having some non-white men in the same position. But, I can guarantee that there are millions upon millions of people in this country who will really hate watching a black man (or any guy who's not white) have his pick of white women.

Imagine this fictional man dumping a white woman, and maybe even making her cry. Imagine him making out with one white woman... and then another... and another, in the same day. As Chris Harrison said when asked why the show is diversifying so slowly, "we have to stay on the air," meaning they know most of their fans will hate it and they don't want to try any more than they currently are, which simply isn't good enough.

As I listened to Rachel's interview earlier, she admitted that her season is one of the lowest rated in the franchise. Isn't that an indictment of society, however small that indictment may be? I'm sure that many of the fans who sat out her season had watched every previous season, but, suddenly, a televised search for love wasn't meant for their interest and entertainment? Why would watching an intelligent, strong, accomplished, gorgeous black woman be any different from watching a white woman with the same qualifications?

The Bachelor Franchise Is A Huge Problem

Here's the huge problem, and why something which looks as inconsequential as The Bachelor is actually so important. When you allow the lowest common denominator to run the show (in whatever area of life that "show" is) we will never see real change. When you say to those people, who've gotten pretty good at hiding, "Hey, we hear you don't want change. It's fine, everything will stay the same," what you're promising them is that they will always be able to hide.

You're promising those white people that their desire to pretend that they are better than non-white people is A-OK. You're telling them that they're right; non-white people don't want to look for love, or, at the very least, that search isn't worthy of having a spotlight put on it. And, if our search for love doesn't matter, if our hearts and emotions and minds and futures don't matter THEN OUR LIVES DON'T MATTER. We've seen many times in real life what happens when people are allowed to believe that our lives don't matter and see us as less than human. We've actually been seeing this for literally hundreds of years and I'm fucking sick of it.

So, here's what I'm doing. I'm done with this franchise. I'm not watching it or writing about it beyond this editorial, not even the barest hint of a tweet, unless they promise to change the way they do things and start those changes as of The Bachelor 2021. I was having some personal confusion over whether or not to watch Clare Crawley's upcoming season of The Bachelorette, because ageism with regards to women in the franchise has become another issue, but I've decided that I can't do it. Sorry, Clare. I'll circle back around when I see what creator/producer Mike Fleiss and ABC do after getting called out by Rachel Lindsay.

The people who watched lots of Bachelor shows before and since Rachel was lead, but conspicuously sat out her season, need to be pushed into the light, not covered up and coddled. Those are the people we need to worry about, more so than the ones who wear their hate and distaste like a badge of honor; it's easy to stay away from those lunatics. The people who don't want things to change, but know to whisper it to their white friends in the dark when they're "just" talking about a reality show are the problem, because they're the one passing these twisted beliefs down to their kids and keeping this whole sick, maddening, dangerous cycle going.

The Bachelor needs to say "fuck you" to those people and open the mansion doors to leads of color (as well as seeing casts that have more diversity, in general), and it needs to do so on a regular basis. Not just when fans get mad at them, or when the show gets called out by those who've appeared in the franchise. In fact, if the producers do it frequently, they'll never have to be "forced" into doing the right thing.

The producers need to think long and hard about whether or not they want to begin to represent this country more fully and if they're truly OK with letting their television institution continue to be a breeding ground for racism. If they are, I'm cool with leaving the whole franchise behind and spending my time on something that uses its influence (however mild) to do better, be better, and be willing to grow, all the time.

Earlier this year, during Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor, Rachel Lindsay appeared on the Women Tell All episode to shine a light on the bullying that many of the women who are part of the franchise have been subjected to, particularly on that most recent season. Unfortunately, as with many segments of society as a whole, Bachelor Nation is not a place which is totally accepting of diversity, so much of this bullying was racially motivated. Now, Rachel is speaking out about the franchise, and talking about why, especially at this troubling time, she's embarrassed to be a part of it.

As the only non-white lead that The Bachelor franchise has seen in 40 total seasons (when you include all seasons of The Bachelorette) across almost 20 years, Rachel Lindsay has recently been doing a lot of leg work to try and educate people who've appeared in the franchise, as well as fans and those behind the scenes, on how that lack of diversity has allowed racism continued inroads in society as a whole.

Fans will likely remember that it was just a couple of weeks ago that she spoke with fellow former lead Hannah Brown about using a racial slur on camera, and then not taking full responsibility for it, which led to a more sincere apology from Hannah. Well, Rachel Lindsay was on the AfterBuzz TV Bachelor A.M. show recently, and after discussing the incident with Hannah, she was asked if she believes that the producers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette will do anything to step up in a real way, and start casting non-white leads on a regular basis. Here's what Rachel had to say:

I have to tell you, I think Rachel Lindsay is absolutely right. Like many fans in Bachelor Nation, I was very disappointed when Mike Johnson, who had been on Hannah Brown's Bachelorette season in 2019, wasn't chosen to lead The Bachelor for Season 24 this year, and it instead went to another white guy. Mike had everything a fan could hope for in a Bachelor, and he also had a lot of actual audience support for the gig, along with sounding very open to the opportunity to be the first black male lead in franchise history, but the producers made the safe choice, yet again, and went with Peter.

What Rachel Lindsay is saying now is that the time is over for these safe choices, because all they do (even in something as fluffy and basically meaningless as The Bachelor) is allow prejudice and racism to keep hold over society. If content creators on the scale of The Bachelor producers don't step up to make changes, and make those changes faster than having the franchise on the air for 15 years and 34 total seasons (Rachel was The Bachelorette in 2017), very little will change overall.

As she said during her interview, Rachel now finds her association with all things The Bachelor "embarrassing" because of the "ridiculous" nature of its unwillingness to change. For her to continue with the franchise, she wants to see on-camera changes, and that makes total sense. Bachelor franchise host Chris Harrison has spoken before about why the show is taking so long to change, and while he didn't directly say money was the reason, that was the answer, because he noted that "we have to stay on the air" to make any efforts count.

While Rachel admitted that her season was one of the lowest rated of the franchise, that to her is extra reason to step up and have more non-white leads, so that the scope of the show and its audience are broadened in positive ways. The question now becomes whether or not the franchise will take heed and do something. To that point, Rachel had a comparison to make:

Truer words about The Bachelor have never been spoken. Here's hoping that Rachel Lindsay's words have some real impact on both the franchise and the massive audience, and that even if we do (hopefully) see a non-white lead in Season 25 of The Bachelor next year, that it won't be in an effort to appease but a sign of real change that will continue as they cast subsequent seasons, with the leads and casts for those seasons being far more diverse than they have been until now.

As Rachel said, Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette is currently on hold, but the hope is that we'll get to see it later this year, so stay tuned to CinemaBlend for the latest. One of the potential upsides for anyone who appears on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise (aside from possibly coming away with your one true love, that is) is the chance to stay with the franchise and appear on other upcoming shows. This includes maybe leading The Bachelor or Bachelorette after being one of the contestants on a previous season. Well, it turns out that Caelynn Miller-Keyes thought she was a shoo-in to lead the 2019 Bachelorette after appearing on Colton Underwood's Bachelor season, and she remembers those strong feelings about losing out to Hannah Brown.

Caelynn Miller-Keyes recently appeared on The Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous Podcast, and spoke about her time in the franchise, including how she felt about missing out on getting to lead The Bachelorette in 2019, after she wrapped her run on Colton's season. While many people who complete a run on a Bachelor franchise show are A-OK with not continuing, it definitely sounds like Caelynn is not in that camp. Here's what she had to say:

OK, so Caelynn was certainly bummed that the producers of The Bachelorette decided not to pursue having her lead the series last year, but doesn't it sound like she was even more upset that they did choose Hannah over her? There are probably several reasons for this, but let's just start with the obvious one, which has everything to do with Caelynn and Hannah's history, both during Colton's season and before.

As anyone who watched Colton's time on The Bachelor will likely remember (though it does seem like his season aired waaaay more than a little over a year ago), Caelynn Miller-Keyes (Miss North Carolina USA 2018) and Hannah Brown (Miss Alabama USA 2018) were both contestants in the 2018 Miss USA pageant, and were roommates during the competition. However, they didn't get along that well, so when both ladies showed up to vie for Colton's heart on The Bachelor, there was a ton of on-screen tension between the two.

This tension included (of course) a lot of back and forth about who did or didn't do shady stuff while they were both trying to win the Miss USA title, and as they traveled the globe to try and win Colton's heart. Hannah was even one of several Bachelor ladies from their season who accused Caelynn of only being on the show to try and get as close as possible to "winning" (i.e. getting Colton to propose to them) so that she could be considered for The Bachelorette.

Caelynn maintained that she really was in love with Colton, and that she was only on the show to try and find love, so it makes a lot of sense that she would be super pissed that someone she had such long-standing drama with got to lead The Bachelorette in 2019, as opposed to her. In addition to her animosity with Hannah, it sounds like conversations that Caelynn had with the producers, as well as the history of the show, had led her to believe that she pretty much had the gig in the bag:

Caelynn's "it's always been in the top four" comment is a reference to how the producers usually choose who will lead the next leg of the franchise. For several seasons running, contestants who make it to the last four choices for the lead (on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette) are the top picks for the next potential franchise stars. In fact, Hannah getting to be Bachelorette was the first time that the lead for that show wasn't in the top four on The Bachelor. Whereas Caelynn made it to number four on Colton's season, Hannah was sent home (yes, dumped) as his number seven pick.

All in all, I can see why Caelynn Miller-Keyes felt like the Bachelorette rug was pulled out from under her when Hannah Brown was announced as the next lead. Luckily, things seem to have worked out for Caelynn, as she went on later that summer to appear on a super messy season of Bachelor in Paradise and is still with boyfriend Dean Unglert, whom she met on that show.

Well, Bachelor / Bachelorette / Bachelor in Paradise drama is stalled for now until production on Hollywood shows can officially get back up and running, but stay tuned to CinemaBlend for news on Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette (which saw many fans annoyed that she was chosen, considering she hasn't been in the franchise since 2018). Former star of The Bachelorette, and reigning winner of Dancing with the Stars, Hannah Brown got herself into a lot of hot water over the weekend. Hannah decided to do an Instagram Live on Saturday, and was seen during the broadcast uttering a racial slur as she rapped along to DaBaby's "Rockstar." Not only did the internet come for the reality star, but fellow Bachelor Nation alums Bekah Martinez and Rachel Lindsay also had things to say about the incident (and Hannah's original, half-hearted apology), which eventually led to her issuing a second apology. Now Hannah's ex-boyfriend, Tyler Cameron, has spoken out on the controversy.

After Rachel Lindsay posted her well-thought out reaction to Hannah's behavior on social media, Tyler went onto Instagram Story (via Entertainment Tonight) to talk about his thoughts on what Rachel had to say, along with his feelings about the incident itself:

Phew. I happen to think that Tyler Cameron handled this beautifully. Several of the comments that came in as he was posting on Instagram Story were from people who clearly didn't get the gravity of the situation or why so many people were upset about it, as well as those who were irritated that Tyler dared to agree with Rachel. Those commenters felt Tyler was helping people gang up on Hannah and not supporting her in the way they felt he should. To his credit, he made it clear that he wasn't "dragging" Hannah by agreeing with Rachel, but simply trying to use the platform to help educate.

After Hannah's inital apology (which saw her apologize, let a woman who was off camera blame the slur on someone else, to which Hannah then blamed the whole thing on her brother and rescind her original apology) Rachel Lindsay (as she explained on her Instagram Live) decided to speak to Hannah personally instead of just taking her concerns directly to social media first. So, even though she could have blasted Hannah publicly, she decided to see this as a chance to educate her fellow Bachelor Nation member, and part of her issue was, in fact, Hannah's non-apology apology.

While Tyler acquitted himself well when he discussed Hannah's behavior and Rachel's response, it's pretty clear that he wouldn't have gotten out unscathed no matter what he said. Seeing as how many fans who watched him woo Hannah on The Bachelorette last year, and then saw that they reconnected enough to hang out after she dumped him, even going so far as to spend part of their quarantine time together this spring, still want these two together, they would probably have expected him to keep any issues he has with her private.

Considering how big this controversy is, I'm glad Tyler decided to follow Rachel's lead. Plus, he manged to wrap up with some positive thoughts on the whole matter:

Hannah Brown has been in the spotlight way more than most reality stars in the past year and a half. Usually, they get one show on which to inundate us with their drama and poor choices, but in just a few months, Hannah has been on The Bachelor, The Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, competed on and won Dancing with the Stars and caused a bit of trouble at the beginning of Peter Weber's 2020 Bachelor season. Now, she's back in the news again, but for a big social media blunder that she's had to apologize for, after other Bachelor Nation alums called her out.

A lot of folks are kinda bored right now, especially people who are used to being out and about, and who can't really work from home. You know, like reality stars who've gotten used to having cameras on them all the time. As such, a lot of these people are doing ill-advised live streams, and this weekend saw a couple of Instagram Live posts from Hannah Brown. In the first one, on Saturday night, she was mumbling the lyrics to "Rockstar" by DaBaby when she came upon a racial slur...and then went ahead and said it anyway with a smile on her face.

As you might imagine, people were none too pleased, and were very quick to show up on Hannah Brown's Instagram and call her out for using the language. What did Hannah do? She went back on IG Live, with a quick, smiling apology that she let get derailed by another woman (who was off camera) telling her it wasn't actually her who said it. After a bit of confusion from Hannah, she then blamed the moment on someone her brother, and basically withdrew her apology by saying she was singing and "not even thinking." Ugh. OK...

While most of the strong reactions to Hannah's use of the racial slur came from non-famous folk, fellow Bachelor alums Bekah Martinez (who vied for the heart of Arie Luyendyk on Season 22 in 2018) and Rachel Lindsay (who was the first black woman to front The Bachelorette in 2017 after her time on Nick Viall's Bachelor season) went to IG with her own reactions, with neither sparing words for Hannah.

According to TMZ, it sounds like the reactions of Hannah's fellow Bachelor Nation peeps (along with all of the fan outcry) led to her being ready to take full responsibility, and she posted a much more sincere apology on Instagram the next time around, saying:

I mean, there are a lot of lessons to be had here, right? In general, everyone should know by now not to use any racial slurs. It doesn't matter if it's in a song. And, if you've been singing along happily to songs filled with slurs in private, know that you absolutely will continue that behavior when you sing said song in public, and be prepared for folks to get plenty angry about it call you out.

So, maybe, if you're going to sing along to something on IG Live, pick your favorite tune from a recent Disney movie so that you can continue to pretend that it would never occur to you to use a racial slur for any reason or in any situation. You know, so that we don't have to keep hearing apologies, at least not for this exact thing, anyway.

Hannah Brown has taken to Instagram in the recent past to talk about how crazy this time in her life has been. Last August, she posted a long entry about how much she had been "struggling" with fame and having so much of her life unfold in public, noting that she was losing track of her friends and family "because I can barely keep up with my own life right now." It was an emotional post that made you feel for a young woman who clearly wasn't totally prepared for how her life would change.

But, instead of taking time out of the spotlight, Hannah Brown did Dancing with the Stars, (which, as she told it, was also hard on her) and almost threw a wrench into Peter's very messy stint as The Bachelor. In the months since then, she decided to practice social isolation with another ex of hers from The Bachelorette, Tyler Cameron, and a crew of his friends and family, where they posted near constant videos of themselves on Tik Tok for about 10 days.

While Bekah Martinez came out and said (via Entertainment Tonight) that people needed to hold Hannah Brown accountable for what she said so that we can try to end "our country's loooong history of casual racism and flippant anti-blackness," Rachel Lindsay used a slightly different tactic that may have helped Hannah Brown really see the error of her ways, and Rachel spoke to Hannah personally before going public with her thoughts. Obviously, Hannah Brown can do whatever she likes with her fame, but it might be a good idea for her to rethink some things right now. The fact that she didn't already realize how wrong this was, and then made a half-hearted apology shows that she still has a lot to learn, not just about life in the public eye, but about life, in general. Hopefully, she's grasping some lessons now and will become better for it.

All things Bachelor Nation are, of course, on hold right now, but it's still expected that the next, completely new, show to film will be The Bachelorette with Clare Crawley sometime later this year. Oh boy. The Bachelor 2020 finale showed Peter Weber propose to Hannah Ann Sluss, then showed their breakup, followed by Peter reconnecting with runner-up Madison Prewett. Along the way, Hannah Ann noted that 2019 Bachelorette Hannah Brown re-entered the conversation. If you thought you were blindsided by what happened, so was Hannah Ann, since there's so much she didn't know until watching the ABC season back.

The Bachelor 2020 Final Rose Ceremony

Bachelor Peter's final rose ceremony was reportedly held on November 17, 2019 in Australia. As we know -- but Hannah Ann did not know at the time -- Madison quit shortly before the final rose ceremony in a dramatic emotional exit. Peter only presented it to Hannah Ann as Madison leaving a couple of days prior. Bachelor Peter "completely downplayed" his relationship with Madison the whole time, Hannah Ann told Rachel and Becca. Hannah Ann told the Bachelorettes that she had an inkling that she wasn't getting complete information from Peter, and that's part of why she hesitated before showing up to the final rose ceremony -- leading to Chris Harrison's final rose ceremony update. But Peter said he was going to make a choice that was best for both of them and asked her to trust him, so she did.

Peter And Hannah Ann Were Together When The Bachelor 2020 Premiered

The Bachelor traditionally premieres on the first Monday in January and that happened again with Season 24, which premiered on Monday, January 6, 2020 on ABC. As Rachel Lindsay noted on the "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, they had Peter on their show the first week in January and also talked to his mom Barb, who was so happy at the time -- because Peter and Hannah Ann were still together. They had videos posted January 7th, which was also when Peter went on Jimmy Kimmel Live and Jimmy Kimmel predicted that Peter would pick Hannah Ann. Interestingly enough, during Rachel's Jan. 7th interview with Peter, the day after the first episode, she compared Hannah Ann to The Bachelorette's Luke P. and Peter defended her.

Peter Wanted 'Closure' With Hannah Brown A Week Before Breakup With Hannah Ann

Bachelorette Rachel asked Hannah Ann when she and Peter had the Bachelor safe-house breakup conversation that we saw on TV. Hannah Ann said it was in the beginning of January that he approached her that he needed to speak with Hannah Brown. He said he needed closure, and Hannah Ann was confused. As Hannah Ann pointed out, she was not on that Hannah Brown group date during The Bachelor and had no idea Peter and Hannah Brown were all cozy like that until the episode aired.

So Hannah Ann was confused when Peter Weber brought up talking to Hannah Brown again and didn't know why she should feel comfortable with that. He didn't seem ready for any committed relationship.

Bachelorette Becca Kufrin wondered if "Hannah Brown" was code for Peter speaking to other women, including Madison Prewett. Hannah Ann wasn't sure, since it was so close to them breaking up.

When the season started, Hannah Ann said Peter admitted to her he had "unresolved issues." But she said he completely downplayed his relationship with Madison and that breakup was the first time he admitted he couldn't give her his whole heart. But Hannah Ann said even after the breakup Peter couldn't really own his emotions when it came to Madison. He reached out to Hannah Ann's parents -- Ranger Rick! -- and said that he was "struggling processing his emotions." He was very vague and "speaks half-truths," as she put it. Whenever the Madison conversation came up, in terms of why she left or whatever, Peter acted like it was in the past and kept giving Hannah Ann reassurance. But as the season started airing, things just weren't adding up.

Peter And Hannah Ann Broke Up Super Bowl Week

As to the exact timing of that breakup visit, according to Reality Steve, Peter and Hannah Ann broke up at the end of January in the week leading up to the Super Bowl. Peter was acting single at the Super Bowl, reports said, and technically he was single at that point.

Madison Filmed With The Bachelor Team On February 11

You'll recall the major Madison updates from early February -- including that she was spotted with The Bachelor production team on February 11 in Alabama. Now we know that was part of filming for Chris Harrison's visit. Also, as Reality Steve noted, Madison was at the baby shower for Peter's good friend Courtney back on February 1st. That was just days after Peter and Hannah Ann ended the engagement, and there's a good chance Madison and Courtney talked about Peter at the time, so Chris Harrison's chat was probably not the first time Madison was getting the news about Peter and Hannah Ann.

So it sounds like the breakup played out a few weeks after The Bachelor 2020 started airing, and a few weeks after Jimmy Kimmel predicted Peter picked Hannah Ann but Tiffany Haddish read Peter's expression and thought he picked Madison. (So Kimmel was right again! But so was Tiffany!) As we saw, Hannah Brown had a major presence on screen for the first couple of episodes and there was speculation that she might return in the finale. That did not happen, but now we know from Hannah Ann that even Peter was interested in getting further off-camera closure with Hannah Brown.

If Bachelorette Clare Crawley wasn't already on her way to finding love (again) I think Hannah Ann would've made an awesome bachelorette. But I have a feeling she's going to kill it on Bachelor in Paradise, and maybe she'll even get engaged like her friend Hannah Godwin last summer. She doesn't seem to have any hard feelings against ABC:

Will Bachelor Peter and Madison last in the real world? I sincerely doubt it -- Peter can't seem to keep it in his pants, or keep his eye from wandering -- but I kind of hope they do, just to stick it to his mother Barb for being so vicious about everything and saying he'd have to "fail to succeed." But I also wouldn't be shocked if Peter showed up on Bachelor in Paradise this summer just to stir the pot and sleep with anyone who'd have him.

Warning: Spoilers ahead for Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette, a.k.a. Season 16!

You guys? Dating is hard. I have literally never heard anyone, especially in this modern, app-obsessed day and age, proclaim, "Dating is so much fun! I just love everything about it!" While much of Bachelor Nation has dragged some people on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette for only wanting fame and not actual relationships, I do believe that quite a few of those involved are looking to find their forever love, or are at least open to it. Well, Clare Crawley's potential bachelors for her 2020 season of The Bachelorette have just been revealed, and I am not impressed by the choices she's been given.

Let's back up just a bit so you'll understand why myself and other fans find Clare's coterie (as it currently stands) lacking. When Clare was announced as Bachelorette, a lot of people had some very shitty things to say about the fact that, at 38-years-old, Clare is now the oldest lead of The Bachelorette. She's also a four-time veteran of the franchise, having last been seen on the 2018 season of Bachelor Winter Games. Some folks couldn't handle that Clare's not 23, which has become the most common age for women in the franchise.

But, some of us who spent the bulk of Peter Weber's disastrously dramatic season of The Bachelor calling for future seasons to introduce some leads / contestants who might (might) possibly (hopefully?) have some additional maturity due to the simple fact of them being older were very happy to hear about Clare leading Season 16 of The Bachelorette. Because so many of the people we see in the franchise have been so young for so many seasons in a row, though, I wondered if producers were going to be able to find appropriate men for our Clare.

Spoilers from Reality Steve told us that, after the last minute decision to cast Clare as the 2020 lead of The Bachelorette, they cut three men in their mid-20s who had already been cast, with one 23-year-old likely to get cut as well. Steve also noted that they had gone back to the drawing board to find men who would be more mature and within Clare's age range, even interviewing some for the very first time recently.

Photos of all the men chosen (with a couple of extras who will not make the final cut) have finally been released on The Bachelorette Facebook page and, lordy, lordy...this ain't no party! Get a look at them first, and we can talk details:

I'm sure you scrolled through the bunch, and, while most of these pictures are terrible, the more pressing (sigh depressing) issue is the age of all but three of the men who've potentially been cast. Only three of Clare's Coterie are in their mid-30s to early 40s? How is this possible?

Now, I'm not saying that everyone on Clare's season needed to be 38 or 39 (Clare will actually have her birthday about a week into filming). I am, in fact, totally cool with there being a 10 year range for these dudes, with some being up to 10 years younger than Clare, some being up to that much older than her, and most being right around her actual age. So...honestly Bachelorette producers. What deep fuckery is this?

Only eight men are in their 30s at all, with most of them being in their early-30s. Do they at least seem like they'd be a fun hang for Clare while she searches for true love? You tell me; take a look at this winner by the name of Josh E., who's 31 and hails from Minneapolis, MN:

OK, Josh, calm down. You haven't even met Clare yet...Or, did you think you'd be meeting Hannah Ann Sluss or Madison Prewett? LOL! I'm sorry, sir. So very, very sorry. We also have several, wait, let me count...23 men who are in their 20s. STILL! And, of those men, 11 are under 27-years-old. I know what you're thinking: We were told they were cutting some men in that very age range. Why would there still be so many of them? Excellent question! I'd really like to know why Clare is going to be subjected to James C. from Chicago, who is only 23-years-old:

Sure, James is cute with his deep dimples and lush eyebrows, and his photo is better than most of the guys', but do we really think this champion is ready to get engaged in a few weeks and be married with kids in potentially just a couple of years? I'm sure most of the men who've been chosen are at least semi-decent human beings (no misogynistic tweets or photos with any of these dudes in blackface have come out...yet), but we all know that if this were a 38-year-old lead for The Bachelor and most of his women were this young, we'd be annoyed.

So, I think one of two things happened here. First, either the producers simply weren't organized enough to change course so quickly and pick a lead with some good years on her, meaning that their talent pool was still woefully young and they couldn't entice enough older men to audition at such a late date. Or, and this is the conspiracy theorist in me (Thanks, Mom!), they really don't want this idea of an older lead to succeed.

This franchise casts people all year round; meaning that even when none of the shows are filming or airing (granted, not much of the year makes up this time period), they're looking at photos, social media accounts, having conversations with potential bachelors and bachelorettes to date the leads and narrowing down the entries. As noted earlier, the past several seasons have seen younger leads and contestants, so their pool of potentials is pretty youthful right now.

But, Peter Weber's season, as well as Hannah Brown's 2019 season of The Bachelorette, led many fans to call for older leads / suitors. Maybe we've been seeing such young people on the franchise because that's who's been trying out. It's much easier to leave your life behind to go on the show for a couple of months when you have fewer responsibilities. The younger you are the more likely you are to not have children, pets, a home you own, or a job that requires you not take off for eight weeks and be totally unreachable.

In short, I think that the producers are trying to throw us a bone by casting Clare as the lead. They don't want to fill the shows with people in their 30s or (Egad!) 40s, because those people will be too hard to cast, and I'm sure they're also worried that they will be too mature to create the kind of insane drama the shows have become known for.

So, they make Clare Crawley The Bachelorette in 2020, but do it with a bunch of men who will likely not be up to her standards. The test fails, and they can go back to having pageant also-rans and social media influencers populate most of the shows, while they give us The Bachelor: Senior Lovin’ (or whatever the senior citizen version will be called) to satisfy those who argue that everyone in the franchise is too damn young.

Look, I’m not, by any means, saying that if the producers had populated Clare’s season with nothing but men between the ages of 38 and 42 that they’d all be sane, gentlemanly, intelligent guys that she could actually fall in love with. Being the same age doesn’t guarantee that they’d have enough of the same values, dreams, or interests to make a long-term romance work. But, I do feel like The Bachelorette has stacked the deck against Clare in Season 16, and I’m not OK with that.

I’m really rooting for Clare on this season of The Bachelorette, so we’ll have to see how things shake out for her when it begins airing on May 18. In the meantime, stay tuned to CinemaBlend for Bachelor Nation spoilers and news!

One of the best parts about either The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, even for those who appear on the show, is getting to explore parts of the world that we might not otherwise be able to. While there are always several dates that happen around the United States on the shows, one of the most exciting aspects is watching the cast adventure around the world as they try to fall in love. They get to frolic in exotic waterfalls, picnic on mountaintops and hang out with wild animals we don't have here. But, it sounds like the threat of the coronavirus is changing that for Clare Crawley's 2020 season of The Bachelorette.

Fans will know that significant parts of each season of The Bachelorette and The Bachelor are typically filmed in far flung locations, but a special challenge has come up for the producers as they try to schedule travel and filming for Season 16 of The Bachelorette, starring the newly announced lead, Clare Crawley. The growing threat of the coronavirus has led the production to cancel its planned trip to Italy this year.

The Bachelorette is produced by Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and a spokesperson for Warner Bros. issued a statement to Variety about how the company is trying to protect its productions:

This is a scary time for a lot of people. With the coronavirus beginning to make its way around the world, folks are doing everything possible to try and stop the spread, as well as treat people who've been infected and try to get them healthy again. The last thing any employer would want is to unnecessarily put its employees at risk of contracting the virus, so Warner Bros. is doing the right thing here by considering all of the locations The Bachelorette had planned to film in and determining whether or not it's still a safe bet.

As the statement noted, the best way to do this without completely changing a huge part of what fans expect to see on The Bachelorette is to evaluate countries on a "case-by-case basis" and use information from the many organizations which are working to monitor, treat and stop the spread of the coronavirus.

We all want Clare Crawley, her suitors and the rest of The Bachelorette production to be safe this year while they film Season 16, and the good news is that all international travel hasn't been scrapped for the show just yet, so production is still moving forward as planned, for the most part.

Speaking of Clare Crawley and her suitors, it seems like we're going to be in for a real treat this season, with Clare being the oldest Bachelorette who's ever led the show. While some people have been, frankly, pretty mean about the fact that she'll be 39 when she starts filming later this month, many are very excited to watch some grown folks look for their forever love on The Bachelorette. But, because Clare is way older than the typical 23-year-olds seen in the franchise, it has led to an interesting wrinkle for the production.

Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve reported recently that quite a few of the men who'd already been cast for Clare's season have now been rejected, namely a couple of 25-year-olds, because they're too young. Part of the issue was that Clare wasn't confirmed to lead The Bachelorette until a couple of days before she was unveiled on Good Morning America this Monday, so, clearly, there were much younger women like Hannah Brown (who wanted more money), and ladies from Peter Weber's current Bachelor season like Kelley Flanagan and Kelsey Weier, who were in consideration.

If you watched The Bachelor Women Tell All special last night, and paid attention to the commercials, you probably noticed that they are still looking to replace those younger men and cast the rest of Clare's season with appropriate suitors. But, spoilers are telling us that the producers have already snatched up 12 men over 25, with the oldest currently being 40. Plus, four of the men already cast have children, so it seems like they're on the right track to give (most) fans the more mature season of The Bachelorette that we deserve and have been asking for since Hannah B. let Luke P. stick around through fantasty suites.

Hopefully, and for several reasons, the coronavirus will be under control soon and The Bachelorette will be able to film safely in some international locations. Clare Crawley's season will begin shooting later this month, and will debut sometime in May, after the new musical franchise show The Bachelor: Listen To Your Heart wraps up. Meanwhile, you can watch how Peter's messy-as-hell love search ends when The Bachelor airs next Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Who is going to be The Bachelorette 2020? It is still a mystery, now that the #1 frontrunner seems to be out and ABC is reportedly looking outside of Bachelor Peter Weber's season for options. Hannah Brown dominated the start of The Bachelor 2020, leaving many fans to wonder if she and Peter would end up together in the end. Turns out, that's not the case. It also looks like she won't return as the Bachelorette again, even though spoiler guru Reality Steve says she was the first choice to return for the 2020 season. (UPDATE: ABC is officially announcing the next Bachelorette this Monday, March 2 on GMA and there's reason for me to hope it's Clare Crawley. I'm going to be so mad now if it isn't her.)

Considering the other options out there from Bachelor Peter's season, I can't say I'm surprised ABC might be looking elsewhere. But I'm also not surprised if Hannah Brown wanted A LOT of money to go through that mess again, after both Luke P. and Wrong Reasons Jed. I don't know why anyone would repeat that without piles of cash. But that might be why the show is now reportedly considering Bachelor Nation women outside Peter's season for The Bachelorette 2020.

Hannah Brown did not join The Bachelor 2020 filming when Peter asked if she would. She went on Dancing With the Stars 2019 and won. She also mentioned recently that she was single, axing the idea that she returns in the end of Bachelor Peter's season; that was one major theory, since spoilers revealed Bachelor Peter's season does not have a "normal ending."

Hannah Brown shot down a lot of rumors, but one she left open until just recently was returning as the Bachelorette. However, that door appeared to shut when date announcements were revealed for Hannah B.'s involvement in the Dancing With the Stars live tour.

Apparently The Bachelorette contract talks of some sort broke down, or at least that's the word from spoiler guru Reality Steve. He said it's not clear yet who the next Bachelorette will be, but he noted Hannah Brown was the first choice:

It was also noted that this Monday's "Women Tell All" special plays out like an audition for Kelsey Weier to be the Bachelorette. It's still possible whoever Bachelor Peter does not pick in the end -- Hannah Ann Sluss or Madison Prewett -- could be the next Bachelorette, but it's unlikely. It's such a fast turnaround. But it could happen.

One interesting thing Reality Steve noted was that he keeps hearing ABC and The Bachelorette producers are NOT going to go with someone from Peter's season. He's not sure about that, but he did hear that Kelsey Weier, Tayshia Adams, and Tia Booth all had formal interviews with production.

I wonder if Kendall Long also had an interview, since Steve said he was sure there were more. After Kendall's recent breakup with Bachelor in Paradise co-star Joe Amabile, some fans have said they'd like to see her as the Bachelorette. Tia Booth and Tayshia Adams are also Bachelor in Paradise veterans. Tayshia was very popular last summer and ultimately tried for a relationship with John Paul Jones. I thought they were adorable, but they did not last in the real world.

No offense to Kelsey, but I do hope The Bachelorette 2020 goes with someone from a past season. I doubt they will go with someone who has never been on a Bachelor show, since they have never done that in 15 seasons of The Bachelorette. They did that all the time for early seasons of The Bachelor, but never The Bachelorette.

Hannah Brown would've been the first Bachelorette to do the gig twice. Brad Womack was the first one to get to be the Bachelor twice, and it didn't exactly go well either time. His second season winner -- also the first person he actually picked -- was Emily Maynard, who later became the Bachelorette after their split, but not directly after his season. So there's a precedent for waiting a year or so before showing up on TV again.

Who would you like to see as the Bachelorette? Maybe Hannah Brown could be convinced to return if there's a fan push, but I don't know. I wouldn't mind seeing Tayshia as Bachelorette, or Kendall, or maybe Tia. I'm curious who else might be in the running. (Apparently not Kelley Flanagan, since ABC didn't even invite her to the "Women Tell All."

At the moment, we're only up to the March 2 "Women Tell All" episode on Bachelor Peter Weber's season before his crazy two-night finale, with most of the action airing right at the end. The Bachelor 2020 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, and this season will be followed by that new singing spinoff, and THEN The Bachelorette should start airing in May.

SPOILERS ahead from The Bachelor 2020, aka Bachelor Peter Weber's Season 24.

The Bachelor 2020 overnight dates, aka fantasy suite dates, air for Peter Weber on February 24, 2020, and ABC will show Peter and Madison Prewett clashing over sex. We just saw something similar last year with the ultimatum fight between Bachelorette Hannah Brown and Luke Parker. It may seem unfair to compare Luke P. to Madison, but that's kind of the point.

Luke Parker was very unpopular on Hannah Brown's The Bachelorette 2019 for various reasons of his own making. Madison Prewett is much more popular on Peter Weber's The Bachelor 2020 for reasons of her own making.

But we can't ignore the similarities in how their faiths informed their decisions during The Bachelor and Bachelorette's overnight dates. And we shouldn't ignore how neither one should've signed up to be on this show if they really wanted to take a hard moral stand against sex. Look around you, guys. It's Bachelor Nation not Christian Mingle!

We know from The Bachelorette that Pilot Pete loves him some sex and he doesn't need to wait for an actual bed to do the deed (four times). That was always destined to clash with someone like Madison. We know from Reality Steve's overnight dates spoilers that they do clash over sex. And even though Madison does walk away at the end of the date in a cliffhanger before the overnight dates rose ceremony -- to air at the start of the "Women Tell All" episode -- she does come back and continues into the finale. (And then reportedly quits in the final week before the final rose ceremony, but we're currently waiting for more details on that.)

Madison and Luke P. took similar positions against the lead having sex with someone else in the fantasy suites, but they expressed their positions in very different ways in different contexts, and that's worth talking through...

Madison Does Not Have A History Of Being Controlling

Luke P. walked into that overnight date with a lot of baggage from Bachelorette Hannah Brown's season. He had already shown himself to be aggressive, territorial, angry, possessive, a "psychopath" who fought with the other bachelors and acted like Hannah was already his wife, etc. Hannah already gave him second chances before he even showed up that day and announced his sex ultimatum (more on what he said below).

That's very different from Madison. Madison has been shown to be one of the nicest and most sane people on Bachelor Peter's season. While Hannah Ann was the one with early Luke P. comparisons because she kept stealing Peter's attention, Madison looked like the one who might win by default for being the only non-catty woman there. She was never controlling or possessive or anything like that, so her actions during the overnight dates come in a very different context.

Madison Is A Virgin Saving Herself For Marriage, Unlike Luke P.

Bachelor Colton may have been a virgin last year, but Luke P. was not. He was a wild man who felt God come to him in the shower for a wake-up call. That changed his perspective on how the marriage bed should be kept pure. Like everything with Luke P., it was presented in a way that wasn't just a personal choice but a general announcement for how everyone should live.

Then there's Madison. Madison didn't tell Peter she was a virgin saving herself for marriage until the overnight dates. Maybe she didn't think it would be an issue. But it's different from a guy who had plenty of sex until making a different choice and then expecting his wife to make the same choice. Madison is waiting for The One and -- maybe it's naive, maybe it's romantic -- it sounds like she was hoping The One she waited for would also be waiting for her. Not to say she didn't know Peter had sex before meeting her. But maybe once he'd met her he would STOP having sex with others. Which takes me to this next point.

Peter Already Told Madison He Was Falling In Love With Her

Even if Peter didn't know Madison was a virgin, he did know -- or should've known -- what he was doing when he told Madison he was falling in love with her. Maybe she's just naive about The Bachelor, but she may have thought he only loved her, and even though he couldn't pick her right there, he knew she was The One. The Bachelor is just not the right place for Madison, but the romantic in her might've thought "If he loves me, he won't want to have sex with anyone else -- much less two other women in the same week." Crazy talk! I know Hannah Brown had a strong connection with Luke P. right away, but I don't know if she told him she was falling in love with him the way Bachelor Peter spelled it out to Madison -- basically letting her believe one thing while he must've interpreted it differently.

Madison Approached Peter Before The Overnight Dates

This is a big difference. The Bachelor 2020 hometown dates episode ended with Madison pulling Peter aside. When the overnight dates episode began, she told him that if he slept with someone else it would be hard for her to move forward with this. So Peter tried to get clarification, saying if he were to spend the night with someone else, that's not something she could do. Madison tried to make it clear it's not an ultimatum, but his actions would speak louder than words.

She didn't tell him what to do, she just made her own hopes and position clear. It sounds like she was looking for a sign that she was The One for him -- and not having sex with two other women is a great sign, in my opinion. It's not like he was contractually obligated to have sex, and some people in love don't even want to have sex with anyone other than the person they love. Imagine!

Madison And Luke P. Expressed Their Overnight Dinner Talks Very Differently

Madison didn't tell Peter she was saving herself for marriage until the dinner part of their overnight date. That's when she said she wouldn't be able to say yes to a proposal and move forward if Bachelor Peter slept with the other women. Peter seemed surprised that she would throw it all away if he had sex with the other women, as if she didn't already try to make that clear before he made his choices. Madison didn't want to ask if Peter had sex, because it made her uncomfortable, but she wanted to know for herself and her own future. There was a promo that aired before showing Peter say, "I don't want this to feel like it's all about sex, but six days prior I was intimate with someone else." That might be what Peter told Madison. However he phrased it, he said he had sex with other women. Madison cried and left and Peter consoled her, then they parted for the night.

Contrast that to how Luke P.'s dinner talk with Hannah Brown went. First of all, Luke P. immediately started talking about how he'd heard people on the show proclaim their faith and then say they were looking forward to the fantasy suites, and he thought --- whoa, whoa, whoa, that's not right!

That's what he told Hannah Brown. Luke P. added that, if Hannah told him she had sex with one or (he chuckled) multiple guys, he would be wanting to go home.

So that was an ultimatum. That was telling Hannah B. what she should do as a person of faith. Hannah called him out on being a hypocrite for doing so many things earlier in the season that reflected poorly on his character, but she gave him another chance, and here he was on his high moral horse telling her how to behave. Madison spoke for herself and what she hoped from Peter vs. Luke P. was telling Hannah what to do, basically slut-shaming her because that's not the behavior he needed from his future wife.

Here's how that played out, including Hannah Brown telling off Luke P. and sending him home:

In contrast, Madison was making decisions for herself and hoping the man who had already said he was falling in love with her did not want to have sex with anyone else. She even told Bachelor Peter it would basically be breaking her heart if he wanted to have sex with anyone else. So he was put in a position to make a choice, knowing how she felt going in. While she was clearly hurt and disappointed with his choice to exercise his rights as the Bachelor, the fact that she ultimately returned to try again also showed how much she cared -- and that she wasn't trying to own or control him.

If Bachelor Peter and Madison do end up together, I hope it's because Peter knows now that she is The One and he won't go having sex with anyone else he can. I'm guessing she's not the type for an open relationship. But as much as I like Madison -- who doesn't seem like a hypocrite, unlike Luke P. -- I don't know that I would see Peter as the right match with her values. And she can't expect him to change for her. But it's not my life.

The overnight dates cliffhanger continues into Monday, March 2's "Women Tell All" episode. It'll show Bachelor Peter dumping Victoria F., just in time for Victoria to take the hot seat and defend herself from various allegations. Then the finale should be a two-night affair between Madison -- who does return at least long enough to meet Peter's parents again -- and Hannah Ann, who just announced a big move. The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.

Well, Bachelor Nation, Peter Weber may still be trying to figure out which of his...intriguing ladies he'll try to walk down the isle with, but at least one piece of the Bachelorette 2020 puzzle has fallen into place. While there are certainly plenty of women from Peter's season who could fill the bill (please, not Victoria F., though), there was quite a rumor going around that, as long as Peter and his ex Hannah Brown didn't somehow end up together at the end of his Bachelor season, that she could actually be Bachelorette again, for the second year in a row. But, it looks like that won't become a reality.

How do we know this? Well, you can thank spoilers for the information, especially Bachelor Nation spoiler king Reality Steve, who has the inside line on what Hannah will be doing as The Bachelorette films in the next few weeks. Here's a hint: she will be traveling quite a lot, but not around the world as our Bachelorettes always do. Ready? OK, take a look at what Reality Steve posted on Twitter:

Hannah Brown Is Out!

Curses! Dancing with the Stars does it again! Sorry, Hannah Brown fans, but it looks like she's decided to take on even more DWTS commitments for next month, and will be doing the live tour. As Reality Steve says, this will happen during filming of The Bachelorette, and, assuming that Hannah will actually be dancing during this tour, she's going to need all her time to rehearse and can't be jetting around the globe handing out roses to men who are probably unworthy of her (or, really, any of our) affections.

As you might remember from the first couple of weeks of Pilot Pete's Bachelor season, Hannah showed up and caused a bit of a stir. The two were supposed to just clear some old emotional hurdles from their short-lived romance on Hannah's Bachelorette season, but Peter was still so clearly taken with her that he invited Hannah to stay and vie for his heart along with his other women. Had Hannah not been in the midst of her winning DWTS season and too busy (and contractually obligated) to even consider it, who knows what might have happened.

Who Could Actually Be The Bachelorette?

OK, so the big question for Bachelor Nation now is who, exactly, will be the next Bachelorette? As with every season of The Bachelor, there are many options, but we know the producers tend to go for someone with the best story and / or a woman who got very close to getting engaged in the finale. While I, personally, would love to see strong, sensible Natasha or even reliable-until-she-went-a-touch-nutty Kelley (I'm blaming Peter's wacko decisions for that one) as our 2020 Bachelorette, methinks the show will go with someone who got even closer to winning Peter's heart.

Heading into hometown dates, where Peter met the parents of his almost sister-wives, he was still dating Champagne Kelsey, Virgin Madison, Heart Eyes Hannah Ann and Victoria F. Of Impossibly Problematicstan, The First Of Her Name (and, hopefully, the last). Kelsey was dumped after hometowns, but I feel like she's still in the running for Bachelorette. She's got some family issues that could make for good background drama should she be chosen, she's capable of saying some really intelligent things, but could also do some truly silly shit to keep things interesting as the lead. Plus, we'd be guaranteed Kelsey-tears in every episode.

Madison also has a shot. Spoilers are telling us that she'll dump Peter when she finds out that he had sex during at least one of his other fantasy suite dates next week, apparently pissed that this man who had sex four times in one night in a windmill with a woman he was dating...while she was also still dating other dudes (Hi, Hannah B.!) didn't keep it in his pants for his potential wedding night with Madison. That's a big story, because it seems to be pretty rare for suitors to dump the lead this far into the process, not to mention dumping them at all. But, The Bachelor just did the "virgin lead" thing last year, so that might be a big strike against "pure" little Madison.

Hannah Ann...actually, now that I think about it, she has no compelling story to speak of, unless you count the fact that she's never been in love and couldn't clearly tell Peter why she felt vying for his heart was right for her...having never been in love. So, I'm gonna count her out.

Now, good people of Bachelor Nation, we're left with Victoria (please don't let it be Victoria). Victoria who has freaked out on every group date. Victoria who has freaked out every time she's had dinner with Peter, even though the daytime parts of the dates go just fine. Victoria who constantly runs away (literally) from deep conversations and getting called on her bullshit. Victoria who has become a MASTER at turning her bullshit around and making it look like Peter's bullshit so that he feels bad for "attacking" her and gives her a rose.

The Verdict

I could be wrong, but all of these attributes, along with Victoria's many problems outside of the show, should mean that she has no shot at leading The Bachelorette. Therefore, I submit that Kelsey and Madison are looking like our best choices for Bachelorette 2020, unless, of course, the producers have decided to meltdown this shitshow of a season like a queen who hates her old crown and choose someone that people still talk about from a previous season, which wouldn't be an unprecedented move.

Peter Weber's time on The Bachelor should be over in just a few weeks (unless things get so dramatic they decide to spring extra episodes on us), so we'll find out who will lead The Bachelorette before too much longer. Bachelorette Hannah Brown can't seem to quit ABC, so when she returned on The Bachelor 2020 premiere to toy with Peter Weber's heart, it got fans thinking she might return again. It got fans thinking some other things too, and Hannah B. herself just jumped in with some updates. However, it sounds like one potential fan theory is still on the table ... for now.

The Bachelor finale promos stirred the Hannah Brown pot when Chris Harrison was shown at the final rose ceremony giving Bachelor Peter some news. Also, Peter's mom was shown saying to not let her go, bring her home. Who? Some fans thought Hannah B. might still be The One for Peter -- and since VERY little of Bachelor Peter's Season 24 so far has been about love, a rekindling of that Bachelorette windmill love story might make sense.

But no? First of all, spoiler guru Reality Steve already said Hannah Brown does not return to The Bachelor 2020 later in Peter's season. But since the ultimate finale is still unspoiled, it left room for doubt -- and, for some fans, hope.

However, Hannah Brown recently answered some fan questions during an Instagram Live chat (via E!), shooting down three theories...

Is Hannah Brown Dating Anyone Right Now? 

Her answer? "Am I dating anyone? Nope." So that would rule out current Bachelor Peter Weber. Unless she was being sneaky and she's not dating him, they are already married. Kidding! Kidding. (I think.)

Is Hannah Brown Pregnant? 

Hannah Brown was probably asked this in connection to the fan theory out there about Bachelor Peter Weber's 2020 finale. Some fans wonder if Chris Harrison's big news at the final rose ceremony could be about a surprise pregnancy. It was always an out-there soap opera theory, but if you watch that promo, you can see it. Peter and Hannah B. did go at it four times in the windmill on The Bachelorette, so some fans thought maybe they had a round 5 somewhere off-camera. But no. Besides, they did use condoms on The Bachelorette, and it sounds like the big secret at the end is not a pregnancy.

Hannah B. completely shut down the idea that she was expecting: "No, there's no way. There's no way I'm pregnant."

Will Hannah Brown Be On Bachelor In Paradise?

Hannah B.'s response on Instagram Live? "No." I thought she was leaving the door open for something like Bachelor in Paradise, but apparently not. However...

Will Hannah Brown Be The Bachelorette Again?

Aha! It doesn't sound like Hannah B. covered this base during her Instagram Live chat, but ET did recently ask her about being The Bachelorette again in 2020 after her ill-fated journey in 2019. While she didn't say yes, she also didn't say no:

So maybe, but maybe not. Would she even have time to tape The Bachelorette 2020, around the dates for the DWTS live tour? Bachelor Peter Weber is still playing coy, publicly, about whether The Bachelor 2020 ends with him back with Hannah B. or not. But it sounds like it's "or not" from Hannah herself. In that case, he'd be happy to see her back as The Bachelorette:

Yeah, we all saw what happened -- she picked Wrong Reasons Jed and it turned out he had a girlfriend waiting for him back home.

Bachelor host Chris Harrison is basically leaving The Bachelorette decision up to us. Here's what he said when asked if Hannah Brown could be the Bachelorette again:

So far, Bachelor Peter's women haven't been that impressive -- and neither has Peter -- but that's mostly production's fault for all the drama. But if no one stands out from his season, they may just give us Hannah B. again. That said, it sounds like Chris Harrison should watch his own back...

What Does Hannah B. Want To Do Next? 

During her Instagram Live chat, Hannah Brown revealed that she'd love to be a TV host like The Bachelor's own Chris Harrison. So maybe if The Bachelor has another spinoff after The Bachelor, Bachelorette, Bachelor in Paradise, and the new one called [cringe] The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart, she will host it? Hannah B. also said she hopes to have her own product line someday, so that's her big picture goal.

So that's where things currently stand with the single and baby-free Hannah Brown. Would you like to see her return as The Bachelorette? I'd rather see her with Peter or on Bachelor in Paradise -- and not to just pop in the way she does, but to actually compete. Other than that, I'd rather she retired from Bachelor Nation for a while.

The Bachelor 2020 continues Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC. Also, this coming February 5, Bachelor Peter's season is also airing an episode on Wednesday. I don't know why. I honestly think we're just being punished at this point.

First of all, most of you lovely Bachelor Nation people probably caught this moment live on TV last night, but if you didn’t, it’s a classic and we will be sharing it below. So, spoilers, obviously.

The Bachelor had a big episode last night. Maybe big isn’t the accurate way to put it, as a small champagne bottle ultimately ended up causing problems between franchise returnee Hannah Brown and Season 24’s Kelsey Weier. The problems started when Hannah Ann and Peter popped open a bottle of champagne Kelsey had allegedly been hanging onto since she got there from Des Moines.

Ultimately, it turned out there were two bottles of champagne and Hannah Ann opened the wrong one inadvertently or possibly on purpose. Kelsey was willing to believe the latter and the exchanges about what happened escalated. Kelsey even brought her feelings to Peter’s attention, then attempted to drink champagne straight from the bottle, leading to a moment that a lot of people are talking about on the Internet. But don’t take it from me. Just watch it again. And again. And again.

Here’s the gist. I have no idea how so much drama could surround a bottle of champagne, but last night’s episode of The Bachelor was basically an episode of Masterpiece Mysteries with Peter stuck playing detective after being confronted with two sides of a story. Was Hannah Ann cracking open the wrong bottle of champagne on purpose or on accident? She claims the latter. Kelsey claims the former. Stay tuned.

Meanwhile, there are Bachelor fans online who are happy to claim this as an example of the producers behind the ABC series stirring the pot.

That Mickey meme is amusing, but this next tweet is really hammers this idea home.

This isn’t the end to all of the online reactions, as the champagne mixup got a lot of people talking and not just sharing memes. I’m sure that Kelsey, when she had her wildest dreams of making it onto reality TV come true, never thought she’d be compared to Kermit the Frog on the Internet, but here we are.

Bless her heart. And just in case you wondered, directly before that champagne gulp, Kelsey even noted, “I’m not a classy bitch all the time.” This has obviously led to even more tweets.

I would like to point out, this isn't the worst thing that could have happened with a champagne bottle. Remember that other reality star who was blinded in one eye after a cork accident? So maybe this is the TV moment that will launch a thousand memes, but things can always be much worse.

The Bachelor 2020 just started and so far Peter Weber's journey has been all about Bachelorette Hannah Brown. Hannah B. returned at two different points during Bachelor Peter's premiere and fans were left wondering if she might show up again at the end. Well, Reality Steve finally piped up with new spoilers on that front, and they will delight some fans and upset others, depending on where you stand on the Peter Weber and Hannah Brown love story. That's if you believe the spoilers.

After all, Bachelor Peter bragged that his ending won't be spoiled. The Bachelor spoilers we do know revealed Peter's final two but said Peter didn't have a "normal ending." Pilot Pete didn't get engaged at the final rose ceremony, but Reality Steve didn't know what happened after that point. And Peter's season started with a flash-forward to the final rose ceremony with Chris Harrison showing up to tell Peter something.

Bachelor Fans wondered if Chris Harrison was giving Peter an update about Hannah Brown. Maybe Hannah B. wanted to contact Peter again for a second (or third) chance. Maybe he'd give her his wings again. A happy ending for the windmill couple.

Guess not!

On Thursday, Reality Steve updated with the new information he felt comfortable confirming. According to Steve, "Hannah Brown has nothing to do with the ending of this season." He said he knew some fans would still hold out hope and wonder how he could be so sure. To that, Steve said this:

That's the word from Reality Steve. That doesn't mean fans will believe him, especially if they don't want to believe it. There's also the fact that Steve doesn't have details yet on how Bachelor Peter's season did end and who Peter is with now. Steve does think Peter is with someone, and Peter did say he was happy with how things turned out. Did he get engaged after the show ended? Is he just dating someone? That remains unspoiled as of now.

Was Jimmy Kimmel right? Kimmel was the first to get the spoilers right for Hannah Brown's own Bachelorette season, even before Reality Steve changed his spoilers to Jed over Tyler. Peter Weber was recently on Kimmel, and Jimmy "predicted" Bachelor Peter is now with Hannah Ann Sluss.

Hannah Ann Sluss is one of the final two ladies already spoiled by Reality Steve. The other is Madison Prewett. (Tiffany Haddish was a guest on Kimmel and said she thinks Peter picked Madison.)

It's possible Jimmy is right about Hannah Ann. Or maybe Bachelor Peter is now with Madison. Whatever the case, Peter and Chris Harrison have been talking up the finale as being unpredictable, and even heartbreaking.

It sounds like the news Chris Harrison brings Peter Weber in the end is "gut-wrenching" and must change things enough that he doesn't propose, even though the preview showed him with an engagement ring. One of the few things Steve does know is that Bachelor Peter's season doesn't have a normal ending and Peter did not get engaged on final rose ceremony day in Australia. That's not to say he isn't engaged now ... he's just supposedly not with Hannah Brown.

We knew Hannah Brown couldn't show up in at Bachelor Peter's final rose ceremony because she was taping Dancing With the Stars live in L.A. while Peter was in Australia. But this may put the kibosh on any hopes that Hannah B. reached out to Bachelor production and Peter decided to take a chance with her.

Bachelor Spoilers: 7 Ways Peter Weber's Mysterious Finale Could End

The Bachelor Season 24 continues Mondays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. There's a strange new Bachelor spinoff coming to air right after Bachelor Peter's finale, instead of the usual Dancing With the Stars spring season. This new spinoff will bridge The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, and then whoever is the 2020 Bachelorette will see her season followed by Bachelor in Paradise 2020. There is no escape from Bachelor Nation.

Who does Bachelor Peter Weber pick in the end of his 2020 season? Well, that's STILL the big question, since he's been bragging that his The Bachelor Season 24 finale can't be spoiled, even though filming ended in mid-November 2019. (We do know Peter's final two.) However, you may recall that Jimmy Kimmel was the first one to correctly spoil Hannah Brown's The Bachelorette ending and now I'm wondering if Kimmel was right again and correctly "predicted" Bachelor Peter Weber's winner.

Jimmy Kimmel "predicts" The Bachelor or Bachelorette winner every season, saying it's his wife Molly who does the predictions and they usually match Reality Steve's spoilers. However, spoiler guru Steve initially said Bachelorette Hannah Brown picked Tyler Cameron, not Jed Wyatt. But on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy -- or, Molly -- picked Jed as the winner. That was a month before Reality Steve changed his spoilers to Hannah B. picking Jed.

Reality Steve still does not know how Bachelor Peter's final rose ceremony plays out, beyond telling us Peter's final two ladies and noting that Peter does not have a "normal" ending. The season finale preview that played at the start of The Bachelor premiere hinted as much.

So maybe Jimmy Kimmel was right first again? If so, Bachelor Peter may now be with Hannah Ann Sluss. During Jimmy Kimmel Live, Jimmy named his "predictions" for Peter's final three, breaking out Bachelor cast photos of each lady:

Interesting! Reality Steve has shared several spoilers on the season, including that Madison Prewett and Hannah Ann Sluss are Bachelor Peter's final two. Kelley Flanagan supposedly leaves before hometowns. Peter's #3 is reportedly drama-magnet Victoria Fuller, not Kelley.

There was a note in the preview about someone waiting a long time to tell Peter she's a virgin. Supposedly that's Victoria F. speaking about Madison as a virgin. So Peter may not have seen her naked.

At any rate, since Peter is meant to have an abnormal ending that can't be spoiled, many fans have been led to speculate that it's not actually over yet.

I'm still on the train that maybe Hannah Brown comes back into the picture -- not physically on the show after the result of their conversation at the start of next week's episode, but maybe she calls Chris Harrison or someone in production in the end. Maybe not. The timing wouldn't work for her to show up for the final rose ceremony in Australia since she was on Dancing With the Stars in L.A. at the same time. (LATER UPDATE: Reality Steve finally shared definitive spoilers on whether Peter ends up with Hannah Brown or not.)

Chris Harrison and Peter Weber have hinted to something heartbreaking about the news that comes up on final rose ceremony day. So maybe it's serious about someone's health issues or something.

That photo at the top of the story shows Bachelor Peter Weber holding an engagement ring and it does look like he was ready to propose to someone before Chris Harrison showed up with some kind of news. According to Steve, Peter did not get engaged on final rose ceremony day in mid-November in Australia. That's not to say he didn't get engaged later. He's said to be happy with how things turned out. So it's possible Peter did end up with Hannah Ann.

If Peter is with "naive" (per Chris Harrison) Hannah Ann, as Jimmy Kimmel predicted, that's bad news for anyone who wanted him with Hannah Brown or Madison or whoever. I personally doubt he's with Hannah Ann, but you never know. There's usually a curse on The Bachelor's first impression rose, and that lady usually does not win in the end. First impression rose winners definitely do better when it comes to The Bachelorette. But "winner" is a weird word for this show, especially in this case when Peter supposedly does not get engaged.

I'm still leaning toward Bachelor Peter currently being with either Hannah Brown or Madison after the show, but I'm open to surprises. I'm thinking he feels like he wants to pass out because it was so hot, rather than from the drama. ABC filmed the final rose ceremony in Australia right before the heart of their summer. The Bachelor 2020 Season 24 continues Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.

The year long wait to watch yet another handsome young man look for love on national television is finally over! Pilot Peter Weber's season of ABC's The Bachelor premiered last night, and the three-hour look into his beginning search for the lady of his dreams garnered quite the crowd of viewers. So, even with many thinking that some of his other Bachelorette runner-ups should have been the dude handing out roses this year, it looks like the franchise made the right decision.

It turns out that Peter Weber's not just winning at windmill sex, as his Season 24 Bachelor premiere won the night. The reality dating show saw just over 6 million total viewers and a 1.8 rating in the coveted demographic of adults 18-49. According to Variety, Weber's debut accounts for a very nice 20% rise in viewers and ratings from Colton Underwood's Bachelor premiere last year, which brought in 5.1 million viewers and a 1.5 rating.

Underwood's season netted its highest numbers with the finale, with 8.2 million viewers and a 2.4 rating, and while we can't know yet if Weber's time choosing from dozens of lovely ladies will be as fence-jumpingly dramatic as Underwood's was, the show certainly got off to a solid start last night.

Audiences were first introduced to Peter Weber on Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette last year, and fans in Bachelor Nation were pretty quickly taken by his pleasant nature, how well he treated Brown and how he managed, in a season full of intense drama, to stay focused on the woman at the center and keep his head above the fray. Brown was taken by all of that as well, and when you add in the undeniable chemistry the duo had, you can see why Weber went so far on her season.

Hannah Brown wound up dumping Peter Weber very close to the end of her Bachelorette journey, right after the fantasy suite dates, which led to Weber being eliminated and not becoming one of her Top 2. But, as Bachelor Nation knows full well by now, Weber was the only one with which Brown...decided to enjoy some naked time. That's right, folks: they screwed in a windmill. Four times! And, this is why there were so many references to windmills on last night's premiere. Never say that the Bachelor franchise lets us forget anything.

While we've already been promised that Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor will bring about plenty of tears, confusion, drama between contestants, make out scenes and all of the other things that we look for from these series, we also got the start of some major tension last night when Brown herself showed up. She was very popular with a lot of fans during her season (even though some likely believe it's time for her to take a Bachelor Nation break), and people loved her and Weber together, so I wouldn't be surprised if many of those 6 million plus viewers tuned in to see what would happen between them.

ABC was probably willing to spoil that reveal because of Hannah Brown's popularity after her season and winning Dancing with the Stars last fall, so promos dropped prior to The Bachelor's debut told us to expect to see her. Even though Reality Steve told us that she's not going to be around long, her time speaking with the possible one-that-got-away-because-she-let-him-go Peter Weber last night turned into a tear-filled reunion that not only probably didn't go as smoothly as anyone involved thought it would, but was also major enough that it won't wrap up until next week.

We shall see soon enough if the Hannah Brown / Peter Weber cliffhanger will be enough to convince all of those viewers to come back for more. The Bachelor airs Mondays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST. Peter Weber's first episode as leading man of The Bachelor was just about as awkward as awkward could be for some of the ladies, what with the stealing of each other's time with Peter, the cheating in contests, and the bizarre introductions, but the talk of the premiere may be more about former Bachelorette Hannah Brown than anything else that happened, and that's... not how it's supposed to work.

Hannah has had a key role in the most recent seasons of The Bachelor with Colton Underwood, The Bachelorette with Peter (and Luke Parker and Jed Wyatt), and even Bachelor in Paradise as a sounding board for Demi Burnett. Throw in Dancing with the Stars, and ABC reality TV has been very Hannah-heavy for the past year. Now that she's dropped by Peter's season of The Bachelor, I'm wondering: is it time she takes a break from the franchise?

Now, I've been a Hannah fan throughout her time in the franchise. Frankly, I liked her (and most of the other contestants) more than I liked fence-jumping Colton before he revealed what was really going on during his Bachelor season, hated Luke P. and Jed on her behalf, laughed at the windmill reveal about Peter, cheered when she asked out Tyler Cameron on live TV after dumping Jed, and applauded her role in helping Demi figure out what she really wanted despite the broken rules.

And I even liked Hannah's first appearance in Peter's Bachelor premiere when she returned the wings he'd given her on The Bachelorette. But when she proved to have a much larger part to play in the first and at least second episodes of the season, I hit my limit.

The first episode of a new season of The Bachelor or Bachelorette is supposed to be about the new crop of suitors waiting to woo and be wooed, how much kissing the lead is willing to do at the beginning, and which contestants are going to draw first blood in the fight for attention. Sure, the star is going to have the baggage of being jilted in the previous season of the other show, but it's supposed to be a fresh start. And it's definitely not supposed to heavily feature the one who did the jilting like Peter's premiere featured Hannah Brown.

Hannah's first appearance in the premiere was fitting, in my book. Her appearance was a great hook to tease in trailers, especially considering Hannah and Peter still seemed to love each other when she sent him home on The Bachelorette. By returning the wings, she seemed to be giving him closure and a gracious push to find love with a woman who will be right for him. That was great. Peter didn't need any drama on the Hannah front, when there was already plenty of drama among the women who'd arrived to try and win his heart.

But then the reveal came at the end of the episode that Peter had asked Hannah to host a group date, which began with Hannah on a stage, recounting the windmill hookup(s) with Peter with a big smile on her face, in front of a blushing Peter and a bunch of women trying their best not to look mad at the turn of events. Hannah assigned the women with preparing a story about their sex lives to share in front of an audience, and then she and Peter cozied up to talk about their relationship.

As it turns out, seeing Peter again was hard for Hannah, she'd had second thoughts about sending Peter home like she did on The Bachelorette, and it became clearer and clearer as each moment passed that Peter is not as over Hannah as he'd said. He even worked up the nerve to ask what she would think about joining the house.

Mascara was running, emotions were high, and if this was fiction or a one-off special, I would have been all aboard Hannah and Peter reconnecting and riding off into the sunset. People in loving pursuing a relationship where nobody gets hurt because it's just a story? Great! Peter's first reality TV episode of The Bachelor, packed with women looking for a husband, only to discover the very single ex he'd been devastated to lose is in the mix? For me, Hannah could use a break.

I'm not saying I wanted to watch three hours of Peter making out with the new women, because he was already doing plenty of that, and I would have welcomed Peter laying down the law that the ladies were not allowed to pull him away from his time with other ladies. I like Hannah and rooted for her on Dancing with the Stars, for all that I thought she might have had an unfair advantage.

But if I'm going to sign on for another season of The Bachelor -- which is happening, so it's probably safe to say that Episode 2 doesn't open with Peter and Hannah deciding to run away together -- then I want it to get off to a strong start before a variable like a conflicted Hannah Brown starts turning things upside down. This isn't a serialized franchise, and even Bachelor in Paradise doesn't really require a working knowledge of previous seasons.

Hannah doesn't have to stay away forever. Just... take a breather. Let us get to know the new contestants.

Then again, maybe this is proof that Dancing with the Stars really was "therapy" for Hannah and helped get her to a place where she's comfortable putting herself back in the Bachelor franchise hot seat. For now, we can just wait and see how Hannah and Peter process their feelings, how all the new women deal with having Hannah in the mix, and how many women Peter picks up and plants on furniture to make out with.

Bachelor Spoilers: Does Peter Pick Kelley, The One He Met Before The Show?

Hannah Brown, quit playing games with our hearts! Peter Weber's The Bachelor 2020 just started and it was three hours of jam-packed content, ending on a cliffhanger for 2019 Bachelorette Hannah B. and her former windmill partner Pilot Pete. So does Hannah stick around or return later or what? Will their love story come full circle with Peter giving Hannah Brown his wings again, right after she returned them in his Bachelor premiere?

Well, we know she does not choose to stay to compete for Bachelor Pete's love -- or at least Round 5 in the windmill. She competed on Dancing With the Stars, which was held live starting in mid-September 2019 in Los Angeles and continued until late November. Bachelor Peter's season started filming in September in L.A. and then moved across the world, as usual, before its mid-November final rose ceremony, which was held in Australia.

According to Reality Steve, next week will show the result of Bachelor Peter and Bachelorette Hannah's conversation. However it plays out, Hannah B. leaves and Peter cancels the sex story part of that group date, since he's not feeling in the right head-space after talking so deeply to Hannah B. and her streaming mascara. (When this was filmed, spoilers initially suggested Peter had food poisoning and had to cancel the date. Sneaky sneaky.)

Is that it for Hannah B.? Maybe not! Put your conspiracy theory tinfoil hats on for this part, because we don't have confirmation or denial of anything further on the Hannah B. front. Not yet, anyway. (UPDATE: On 1/9, Reality Steve did share a Hannah B. and Peter spoiler update. It'll make some fans happy and upset others.)

We do know Bachelor Peter's season did not have a "normal ending" -- meaning it wasn't as simple as he picked one of his finalists dumped another, and got engaged to his "winner." His final two are said to be first-impression rose winner Hannah Ann Sluss and first one-on-one date recipient Madison Prewett. Peter has been bragging that no one will spoil his ending. That led me to believe it'll happen live on the After the Final Rose, and maybe he's still dating people. We don't know yet, and neither does spoiler king Reality Steve. Exciting!

However, The Bachelor premiere's dramatic tease of Peter's final rose ceremony news from Chris Harrison made me wonder if the update is about Hannah B. Is Hannah B. the one Bachelor Pete's mom doesn't want him to let go, or is that another finalist? Could it be Madison? After all, Madi got the first one-on-one date and it was to watch Peter's parents renew their vows. I can see them loving her. Then again, I can see them wanting Hannah B. back in their lives too, after meeting her on The Bachelorette and seeming so thrilled about Peter and Hannah's four times in that windmill.

Does Hannah Brown return to The Bachelor? The timing wouldn't line up for her to show up in Australia for Bachelor Peter's final rose ceremony. According to Steve, that was held November 17 in Australia. Hannah B. was competing on Dancing With the Stars until late November, and she won the show.

But that doesn't mean Hannah B. couldn't reach out to Chris Harrison or production and say "Listen, I'm having second thoughts, I want to talk to Peter." I'm not saying that happens, but it's on the table at this point. No one is going to confirm or deny in the real world.

Also, why did Hannah B. come back at all if it was just for that dramatic and tearful speech about having doubts?

But maybe Hannah B. does not come back or reach out at all. Maybe she is 100% moved on and only came back for closure or more TV time, whatever. Maybe Chris Harrison's news and whoever Peter's mom is talking about have nothing whatsoever to do with Bachelorette Hannah B.

Reality Steve's spoilers have noted that Madison is the virgin that Victoria F. was talking about in the premiere's full season trailer tease. Madison is also the daughter of the Auburn basketball coach. Apparently her dad does not give his blessing to Peter during the hometown dates. So this whole finale twist could be something related to Madi. Maybe she doesn't want to get engaged without her dad's blessing. Maybe Peter's mom wants Madi to be the one he takes home but he has to do some Cassie-style wooing first? But just leaving the show dating would be too much like what Bachelor Colton Underwood already did last year, plus plenty of Bachelors haven't gotten engaged in the end.

It does seem like what happens with Bachelor Peter is new, as opposed to picking no one like Brad Womack or picking someone and dumping them for the runner-up like Jason Mesick or Arie Luyendyk Jr. And as opposed to Bachelorette Hannah's own experience of getting engaged and then finding out her fiancé Jed was there for The Wrong Reasons.

So we know Hannah Brown does not return to be part of Bachelor Peter's season but does she make a different kind of return to re-insert herself in Peter's love story? Does she swoop back in right when he's ready to propose to Hannah Ann or Madison? Or does she stay out of it and the entire final rose ceremony drama, abnormal ending, and "unspoiled" result have nothing to do with the Hannah Beast?

Whew! We'll find out as The Bachelor continues. What a nutty season already. I don't even know what I want to happen yet, other than for everyone to leave happy. Bachelor Peter has been open in interviews as being happy with how the season ended. That suggests he's in love or working on it, but the idea that no one will spoil the ending is really intriguing to me. Bring it on.

I'll admit, I didn't think Bachelor Peter Weber was an exciting choice. But now I'm ready to watch the season like a full-on mystery with a twist ending. It sounds nuts. And also, it starts with the final rose ceremony as Chris Harrison reveals some key last-minute information? I would love ABC to tell The Bachelor 2020 Memento-style, but the tinfoil hat on my head wonders if we're starting with the end because of Bachelorette Hannah Brown.

We already knew, per Reality Steve, that Bachelor Peter would not have a "normal ending," and now he doesn't even have a normal beginning. Peter said his ending can't be spoiled, which suggested to me that it will be live. It's possible it's still happening now -- that he's dating one, two, or even three ladies still in contention. His two finalists -- who have already been revealed by spoilers -- plus Hannah Brown, maybe/maybe not? Maybe Bachelorette Hannah B. has nothing to do with the ending, but I'm in conspiracy mode now.

I rolled my eyes at Hannah Brown's return to The Bachelor, figuring it was just a gimmick -- since she obviously didn't "compete" on The Bachelor when she was legitimately competing on Dancing With the Stars. However, the new information from Bachelor Peter's premiere makes me wonder if she somehow does contact him in the end and Peter has to decide if he wants to go back to her or pick one of his two finalists.

Reality Steve just warned fans about the January 6 Bachelor 2020 premiere, which is a jam-packed three hours including the first impression rose (to Hannah Ann Sluss) and the first one-on-one date (with Madison) plus lots of Hannah Brown action.

According to Steve, the first scene of The Bachelor Season 24 premiere is a flash forward to the final rose ceremony, showing a clip of Peter at the final rose ceremony that was taped mid-November in Australia. Host Chris Harrison comes up to Bachelor Peter and says:

What did Chris find out and tell Peter? We don't know yet. Wouldn't be shocked if it related to Hannah Brown. But I also wouldn't be shocked if it related to one of the finalists, some new information. Don't say we have another Wrong Reasons Jed on our hands! At any rate, Steve said Peter looks flustered at that point and he's shown walking around not knowing what to do. (I wonder if this is why Netflix only added one season of The Bachelor and it was Jason Mesnick's season. Maybe Peter pulls his own Mesnick.)

Bachelor Peter says he feels "like I’m gonna pass out right now,” then we see a clip of him in his final rose ceremony suit, laying down on a bed. Sounds like The Bachelor breaks the fourth-wall with production again, since they are shown around him as he says “it’s just like the last thing I needed to hear.”

Then Bachelor host Chris Harrison says his intro on the season having an "unbelievable journey like you’ve never seen before," and there's a full preview of the season.

As Steve noted, The Bachelor fans will be talking about the end of the preview, showing Peter's mom Barbara. Bachelor editing is notoriously misleading, but we see her crying and her voice is shaking as she says this:

Did The Bachelor splice scenes, and "don't let her go" is separate from "bring her home to us"? Maybe. Steve narrowed the timing of that clip down to 1) sometime when Bachelor Peter's parents meet the final two in Australia or 2) filmed after the rest of the show. I wouldn't be shocked if Peter's family wanted Hannah B. back in their lives. They seemed to love her on The Bachelorette and were strangely thrilled about those four sexy trips to the infamous windmill.

The Bachelor 2020 season previews tend to start hopeful, include tears and drama, and end on finale cliffhangers. This season preview shown during the premiere ends with Peter at his final rose ceremony, with these words via voiceover:

That is from the first five minutes of the show, and it's a first to start a show that way. I hope they continue! I love the idea of starting at the end, especially if the end is so intriguing.

Reality Steve has already revealed Bachelor Peter's final two to be Madison and Hannah Ann. The Bachelor has had eliminated contestants show up at the end for a second chance before, and maybe that happens again. But if it's Hannah Brown ... so much of this makes me wonder if Peter takes a chance on Hannah and they are dating right now. Or maybe his season can't be spoiled because he didn't pick anyone and he's still dating multiple people in the real world?

The idea that the ending can't be spoiled is so interesting to me. In that case, he wouldn't have picked anyone, right? Not even Hannah Brown? The timing of Hannah B. showing up for the rose ceremony would be tricky because she was still competing on Dancing With the Stars until late November and Bachelor Peter's final rose ceremony took place November 17 in Australia, per Steve. I may be reaching on the Hannah B. thing, but there are also previews like this really nailing how deep Hannah's connection to Peter really was:

I really did think this season might be boring, but I should've known better. Hannah Brown misdirection or not, the drama always comes from the ladies, not the Bachelor himself (until he jumps a fence of pulls a Mesnick/Womack). This season, we'll have pageant drama and everything Victoria F. and her revenge boobs get up to, plus that mysterious ending. Juicy! I'm excited to get started.

However, if this does end with Peter and Hannah B. together, this was kind of a wasted season. She spent the whole time on DWTS and he could've just sat in the audience to watch her instead of wasting everyone else's time. For that reason alone, I don't want them together. For every other reason, I'm fine with the messy drama.

The Bachelor trainwreck begins Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Don't be late 'cause it sounds like the usual filler will not be happening.

It's not over yet! The Bachelor 2020 seems to have gone for an interesting new strategy to avoid spoiling who Bachelor Peter Weber picked in the end. Pilot Pete was bragging that his season can't be spoiled, but that's already not true. We know -- or think we know -- who he picked down to his final two ladies. But does Pete get engaged in the end? He did say he was happy with how things turned out, which suggests he is with someone now. But will there be a live finale, showing his choice during the After the Final Rose special or whatnot?

Spoilers already told us The Bachelor premiere starts with a final rose ceremony twist, it's just a matter of what Chris Harrison tells Peter and what it may change for his finale decision -- and is that tied to what Peter's mom wants him to do?

Please don't tell me Bachelor Peter just wanted to wait for Bachelorette Hannah Brown to finish competing on Dancing With the Stars and then approached her again (or she approached him). Maybe they are together now? Maybe not. Dancing With the Stars 2019, which Hannah won, ended with a live finale in late November in Los Angeles. Hannah showed up briefly for the first couple of Peter's The Bachelor episodes, which taped in September, before leaving to start her DWTS journey. Bachelor Peter's pre-taped season finished filming in Australia in mid-November. I doubt Peter and Hannah B. are together now, but ... if that's the case and they are happy, whatever. Good for Hannah Brown for finally winning things.

That would suck for Bachelor Peter's final two from the ABC show, though. Reality Steve already spoiled their names, and any kind of potential Hannah B. twist would essentially turning these two ladies into a repeat of Bachelor Brad Womack's Season 11 finalists:

More on the finalists in a minute. We already knew, per spoiler guru Reality Steve, that Bachelor Peter would not have a "normal ending" -- i.e., Peter dumps one finalist and proposes or just picks the other. There's something else going on. After Peter's tease that his season couldn't be spoiled, Steve shared the little he knew...

Reality Steve later said he'd heard the same thing behind-the-scenes since Thanksgiving, that there's a reason the ending isn't going to be spoiled. Bachelor host Chris Harrison said Peter's season has a "wild, turbulent ending" fans won't be able to predict. He also repeated to Good Morning America that we won't know how it's going to end until the very end and "it's possible it's still not over."

Peter admitted to ET that he and Hannah Brown "could be" a couple right now, but what else is he supposed to say? He has to drag out the Hannah B. storyline ABC started with its promos and, if it's true that they are together, he can't really confirm or deny. He did say this, though:

That to me suggests a live Bachelor finale, or at least something taped long after whatever cliffhanger we get from the final rose ceremony that happened November in Australia. If Bachelor Peter is really happy right now, he is probably with someone, as opposed to having to dodge questions about his happiness or tweet shade like Hannah Brown did after stuff started coming out about Wrong Reasons Jed.

Reality Steve said there were two things he knew about the situation:

Does that mean Bachelor Peter waited to get Madi's dad's blessing? Could we see that in one of those taped videos during the After the Final Rose special?

Madison was already kind of a favorite to win over Hannah Ann just by virtue of Hannah Ann getting the first impression rose in The Bachelor's January 6 premiere. That rose tends to have a curse on it. Of course, 2020 could be the year that breaks the curse, but I wouldn't be shocked if this all just boils down to Bachelor Peter wanting to wait to get Madi's dad's blessing, since her dad Chad Prewett is the Auburn basketball coach and a big deal in her life. Then again, that's not exactly turbulent or very dramatic.

Chris Harrison already shared some early thoughts on the ladies in the big cast announcement, and it didn't take much reading between the lines to see he's a big fan of Madison and maybe maybe maybe not so much of "naive" Hannah Ann.

Hannah Ann is friends with The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise 2019's Hannah Godwin, but this new Hannah is apparently naive about how everything works on The Bachelor. Chris Harrison said Hannah Ann ends up in all the drama. Madison, on the other hand, he described as a good girl. So if Bachelor Peter doesn't pick her, she might be high on the list of 2020 Bachelorettes. Either way, fans shouldn't scan Instagram for ring finger spoilers since that's never a good idea.

That's the other thing we have to look out for -- not just who Bachelor Peter picks in the end, whenever the end happens, but who ABC and The Powers That Be will pick to follow Bachelorette Hannah's ill-fated 2019 season. And don't forget that a good number of castaways will show up again this summer on Bachelor in Paradise 2020.

Even though we don't know what exactly happens in the end yet, for any number of reasons, I'm willing to throw down a guess that Bachelor Peter is with Madi now. If not her, I'm willing to accept that Peter is back with Bachelorette Hannah Brown. I don't care if it's nuts. This is The Bachelor. They have to top the fence jump and Wrong Reasons Jed of 2019. Plus, that windmill is just waiting for Round 5.

Teen Mom 2- Jenelle And David Eason Booted From Show After Dog Killing

The Teen Mom franchise has had its fair share of Jenelle drama over the years, but things really kicked into overdrive when husband David Eason came into the picture. Eason was barred from appearing on the show and eventually got Jenelle booted as well after he killed their family dog for nipping at their young daughter. It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back, and MTV has no plans of working with either in the future.

The Bachelor- Colton Underwood Jumps The Fence

Colton Underwood had been searching for love all season on The Bachelor and thought he had a keeper in Cassie. Unfortunately, her father arrived in Portugal and put enough doubt in her mind that she had to tell Colton it didn't feel right for her to be there. Colton was devastated he lost Cassie due to the two of them being in different places, and felt betrayed by the show that may have pushed that narrative. So, he jumped the fence, and in doing so gave ABC a memorable moment to tease for weeks ahead of it actually happening.

Jersey Shore Family Vacation- Ronnie And Jen Drama Reaches Its Peak

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley's antics dominated headlines in 2018, but 2019 looked as though it could be different. Ronnie had gone to rehab and seemed committed to sobriety and doing right by his family despite their past. Things seemed ok between the two, right up until the fateful October day Ronnie was booked for kidnapping in an incident that allegedly involved cocaine, an AirBnB, Jen, and their daughter Ariana Sky. Ronnie has had a restraining order against him since, and it remains to be seen if the Jersey Shore Family Vacation couple is finally done for good.

The Bachelorette- Hannah, Pilot Pete, And The Windmill

Many will live their lives not getting to have sex in a windmill, The Bachelorette's Hannah Brown can say she did it four times. The show repeatedly teased the sex, but the audience never knew who until it was finally revealed that Pilot Pete was the mystery man who she did the deed with. Hannah ended up not finding love on her season, at least, the kind that exists outside of windmills, but she may get another shot.

Big Brother- Jackson Michie Is Blindsided In Finale By Racism Allegations

Big Brother 21 had a lot of live-feed drama that never made it to air, a good deal of which revolved around Jackson Michie. Granted, his buddy Jack Matthews bared a brunt of the stuff regarding racism, but a live feed conversation between Matthews and Jackson led some to questioning of Michie's involvement in all of that. Host Julie Chen asked Michie about it during the live finale, and the finalist looked like a deer caught in headlights. He had no heads up a question like that was coming, and it shook him so much he couldn't properly enjoy his win moments later.

The Bachelorette- All Things Jed

America has really gotten behind Hannah Brown in 2019, but that's largely because her season was just so heartbreaking. The Bachelorette contestant finally settled on Jed, despite all the red flags regarding a past relationship and the whole admitting he only agreed to the show to elevate his music career thing. The two's engagement came to an abrupt end, and while that was sad, Brown did manage to channel that anger and disappointment into a Dancing With The Stars win!

Dancing With The Stars- James Van Der Beek's Heartbreaking Elimination

Dancing With The Stars is usually good for at least one shocking exit a season, but few have been as tragic of James Van Der Beek's. Van Der Beek was one of the strongest dancers in the competition, but had a few missteps in the semifinals that put him on the bubble. The audience learned that the actor was distracted after his wife had suffered a miscarriage, which may have accounted for his unfocused mistakes. Ally Brooke even tried to give up her finals spot for the actor but ended up advancing in his place.

America's Got Talent- Gabrielle Union's Exit

America's Got Talent dropped Julianne Hough and Gabrielle Union late in the year from its judges' panel, but it was the shocking allegations that followed that made the event a major headline. Rumors swirled that Union made comments to production about racial sensitivity in regards to jokes and acts, and that her complaints were allegedly often overlooked by higher ups. That was just the tip of the iceberg, and now it appears Union and other women of Hollywood made enough noise for NBC to properly look into the situation.

In what may be one of the most surprising and satisfying escalations in reality television history, Jordan and Christian went to war over a pinata. Of course, it was actually about more than that. Jordan went over there to stick up for Clay, and next thing anybody knew, Christian was getting suplexed into the sand. Definitely not the most dramatic thing to happen in reality television in 2019, but absolutely WTF-worthy.

Survivor- Dan Spilo Becomes First Ejected Played In Game History

For the first time in 39 seasons, Survivor was forced to eject one of its contestants from the game. The Dan Spilo situation was a bit of a mess for the show, as allegations of inappropriate touching were inter-mixed with gameplay strategies with Jeff Probst and crew unsure of what to reveal to protect the game's integrity. Spilo was finally ejected after an off-camera incident with a crew member, and Probst later apologized to the initial whistleblower contestant Kellee Kim for not acting sooner. Probst knew the situation could've been handled better, and promised they'd use it to be more effective with controversies going forward.

Season 28 of Dancing With The Stars has come to a close, and after a fiercely competitive finale, each contestant had a shot at taking home that glorious Mirrorball trophy. Unfortunately, there could be only one, and in the show's final moments, fans finally got the answer they had been waiting for all season. Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten were declared the winners, and the internet is thoroughly pleased.

Which, to be honest, may have been expected. Hannah Brown had a big advantage heading into the competition as Bachelor and Bachelorette fans knew her story fairly well, and the heartbreak that went along with it. As many on Twitter pointed out, Brown has a lot better luck in dancing competitions than she's had in dating shows.

Hannah Brown may not have found a soul mate on ABC, but it definitely sounds like she's gained a new love on Dancing with the Stars. It's hard to say her win wasn't deserved, especially after her emotional words a few weeks back on how therapeutic the experience has been.

If there are Dancing with the Stars viewers who feel that, it wouldn't be surprising. Hannah Brown lived a very public life in the past year, so it's hard not to be happy for her victory, and for 2019 to end on a high note for the reality star.

The Kel Mitchell fanbase is certainly upset he took second place, especially when his overall judges score from the finale was one point above Brown's. That said, for every supporter for Mitchell, Lauren Alaina or Ally Brooke, there are a fair few of Brown fans ready to go to war.

For those keeping score at home, this is the second time a former contestant of The Bachelor franchise has won Dancing With The Stars. Melissa Rycroft won the all-stars Season 15, though Hannah Brown can have some bragging rights in that she won the competition in her first go, as it was Rycroft's second time competing.

Then there's the crowd who's just happy that Ally Brooke lost. There were plenty of tweets criticizing Brooke throughout the entire evening, and constant allegations that the judges were pushing the audience to crown her as the champion of Season 28. I can't speak to that, but it is worth mentioning that Brooke is the only person that was awarded an overall perfect score in this Dancing with the Stars finale. although, not everyone on Twitter agreed that was justified.

The good news is that the happy tweets for Hannah Brown far outweigh the negativity, and this is not another Bobby Bones situation. One can only imagine what could've happened had Dancing with the Stars had back to back controversial finales.

Well, Bachelor Nation, we all knew that "Pilot" Peter Weber's season of The Bachelor was coming up early in 2020, and that lots of romantic and potentially windmill-based sexual shenanigans were sure to be afoot. And, we thought we knew about all the ladies who would populate Season 24 and vie for the fly guy's heart, but...could we have been wrong?

A new promo for Peter's season of The Bachelor popped up during tonight's Dancing with the Stars finale, and we were treated to a very surprising scene that featured him seeming to have quite an intimate conversation with none other his his windmill woman, Hannah Brown herself. Take a look!

OH. BOY. I mean, everything was flowing along just fine for a while there, wasn't it? The ladies thought Peter Weber was hot, they were having fun in exotic locales and going on dates that no one ever goes on in real life. Peter and several of the ladies were getting it on everywhere they could, there was heartbreak on the horizon for some, and then it happened. One of the women says, in voice over, "OK, what else could go wrong?" I  guess Peter's ex-girlfriend Hannah Brown showing up is what could go wrong. Sorry, ladies!

As you might recall, Peter made it all the way to the final three when Hannah was looking for love earlier this year on her season of The Bachelorette. Peter displayed some great good guy charm during Hannah's entire season, and fans were just as smitten with him (in spite of those behind the scenes rumors) as she was. And, as mentioned previously in this story and in the first teaser we had for Peter's Bachelor season, he also famously had sex with Hannah a lot during their overnight date in a windmill.

So, you know, these people really liked each other for a time, just a few months ago, and now Hannah has turned up on his season of The Bachelor and it sounds like they're talking about serious relationship things between them, not just in general. What does this mean? Will someone please tell me what this means before I have a reality TV love-based panic attack?!?!

If you're in the same boat as me, never fear! Reality TV spoiler guru Reality Steve took to Twitter to dispel any fears that Hannah is also going to try and woo Peter when The Bachelor rolls around again.

OMG. That is such a relief! I mean, obviously Hannah would have been better off choosing Peter (or "most respectful man ever" Tyler Cameron...or megawatt smile "Big" Mike Johnson) over that guy she did, briefly, end up with, but at this point it's probably better that everyone just move on with their life and loves and, yeah, I'm gonna say it...have raucous windmill sex with somebody else from now on.

It sounds like Hannah just showed up for a couple of nights to talk to Peter, and, even though it does seem to get very flirty between them in the above promo, previous spoilers from Reality Steve do not point toward Hannah making Peter turn his head away from the ladies picked for his season. Even though, of course, there is a different Hannah among them.

Bachelorette Hannah Brown has been bringing her all to this season of Dancing with the Stars, but the former pageant participant (who actually used dance as her talent during those not-so-long-ago days) has been having a bit of a rough time on the competition in the past few weeks. Last week Brown and her pro partner, Alan Bersten, had the second lowest score of the night, and this week saw her fighting to hold back tears after judge Carrie Ann Inaba told her she hasn't been connecting with her performances.

After becoming emotional on Monday's episode, Hannah Brown has now taken to Instagram to talk about how difficult her Dancing with the Stars journey has been, and how she wasn't expecting the training and performances to be quite this hard on her, while also opening up about why she decided to do the show so soon after her season of The Bachelorette. Here's part of what Brown had to say:

Phew. Well, no one can say that Hannah Brown hasn't found at least some way to open up and let fans and other supporters know what she's been going through this year. In fact, it was just about a month ago that Brown told the DWTS audience, after her performance, that even though being on the show "has those ups and downs" that she considered all the effort she was putting into rehearsing and performing every week "such a great therapy" for her.

Of course, Brown said that just a couple of weeks into her Dancing with the Stars experience, and it sounds like now that she's had some more time to absorb what the work involved with the show really means, including learning new skills and then being judged on them in front of millions of people, it's taking a bit of a toll on her psyche.

In her post, Hannah Brown also mentioned that she was hoping that joining DWTS would give her a "reboot in my spirit after it took a bit of a beating" during and after her time on The Bachelorette earlier this year. Back in August, Brown also used her Instagram to let fans in on just how she was doing after not only such a rough season as Bachelorette, but having so much change in just a year. And, Brown admitted that she was "struggling" with many aspects of becoming so famous in a short period of time.

Even though her time on DWTS hasn't been as cut and dry as she thought it would be, at least she does seem to have hope that this path she's on will help her (and maybe others) grow.

Disney Night returned to Dancing with the Stars on October 14. Although Sean Spicer's Toy Story quickstep isn't going to go down as one of the best in DWTS history, Ally Brooke got all 9s for her beautiful Beauty and the Beast number and Kel Mitchell undoubtedly has viewers everywhere ready to return to high school after his jazz routine to High School Musical's "We're All In This Together." One of the loveliest of the night, however, was former Bachelorette Hannah Brown's Aladdin foxtrot with partner Alan Bernsten, but judge Len Goodman wasn't overly impressed, and fans aren't happy.

Hannah and Alan danced to the legendary Disney love song "A Whole New World," from Aladdin. Everything from the costumes to the dancing to the chemistry between the dancers was a hit, and all signs pointed toward Hannah getting another victory out of her DWTS "therapy." Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli were both impressed enough to give Hannah and Alan 9s. Len Goodman, on the other hand, gave them a 7.

While the judges are of course going to have different opinions, which sometimes results in different scores, Len's criticism was directed more at Alan's choreography than Hannah's dancing. Unsurprisingly -- especially considering Hannah probably came in with a fandom of her own courtesy of her recent stint on The Bachelorette, which may or may not have given her an unfair advantage -- Dancing with the Stars fans took to Twitter to share their dissatisfaction with the scores.

The picture of Hannah and Alan mid-dance doesn't do justice to their performance, but it at least proves that they knew how to strike a pose even while getting the workout of a great foxtrot. Just look at the smile on Hannah's face! If only that smile had earned more than a 7 from Len.

Considering I'm shocked that Sean Spicer made it past his fluorescent shirt from his first performance on Dancing with the Stars, I can't say I disagree that it's silly for Hannah and Sean to have gotten even close to the same score.

Somebody else chose to skip the pictures, gifs, and emojis, but rather just spell out their issues with what happened and what should be done moving forward:

This person wasn't the only one to call for Len's firing from Dancing with the Stars due to his 7 for Hannah. Could this mean an opening for Leah Remini to come on DWTS full-time after her divisive performance last week? Okay, probably not, but people are clearly upset.

Well, the good news is that the scores didn't really matter this week. In fact, the votes from viewers didn't matter either. Nobody was eliminated, because nobody is eliminated on Disney Night! While this was a nice break for the celeb dancers and meant that viewers didn't have to watch somebody dressed as a beloved Disney character look sad, I wonder if this means that next week delivers a double elimination.

Of all the current contestants showing off their fancy footwork on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, Hannah Brown has arguably had one of the most tumultuous pre-show experiences. As the outspoken star of The Bachelorette's most recent season, Brown was constantly being thrust in the spotlight both on TV and on social media, so one might not have thought jumping into another high-profile reality competition would have been ideal.

However, Hannah Brown revealed on Monday night's episode that being on Dancing with the Stars has had a truly positive affect on her life in the aftermath of The Bachelorette. Here's how she put it following her performance with pro partner Alan Bersten:

Obviously, there is a world of difference between competing for someone's heart in romance on The Bachelorette and competing for the Mirrorball trophy on Dancing with the Stars. To me, it seems just slightly less stressful to go in front of audiences to showcase a specific talent, even one as performative as dancing, as opposed to opening up one's emotional core with one hopeful suitor after another. That's apparently somewhere close to how Brown feels about things as well.

For Monday night's episode, Hannah Brown got to find some therapeutic relief in performing a rumba with her partner Alan Bersten, which was set to the tune of Wilson Phillips "Hold On." As part of Dancing with the Stars' Movie Night, the dance was inspired by Kristen Wiig's mega-hit Bridesmaids, though there weren't any fun breakout performances from Melissa McCarthy during Brown and Bersten's dance.

Hannah Brown and Alec Bersten's dance wasn't the biggest one of the night, and it was perhaps questionable for the duo to set up such an aggressively sexual dance with a song that is anything but aggressively sexual. They earned a 21 out of 30 from the judges, but that definitely wasn't the worst dance of the night. Viewers and judges agreed that distinction went to Sean Spicer and Lindsay Arnold's cha-cha, which was as close to a train wreck as it probably could have gotten.

Of course, some fans out there are interested in watching Hannah Brown and Alec Bersten's chemistry together, regardless of what song they're dancing to. Rumors have been flying surrounding the Bachelorette vet's closeness with the Dancing with the Stars pro, considering Brown quickly split with winner Jed Wyatt after it was revealed he'd had a girlfriend before and during the filming that season.

The pair haven't been very up front about addressing the romance rumors, but Hannah Brown joined Alan Bersten to record an Instagram Story Q&A for fans, and the question definitely came up. Rather than playing it off innocently, Brown jokingly called back to her own Bachelorette introduction:

Dancing with the Stars has returned for Season 28 on ABC, and the premiere arrived with all the glitz, glamor, and varying degrees of actual dance ability that fans have come to expect. The cast is stacked with some who are bound to go far, some whose enthusiasm should carry them through at least a few rounds, and one who I'm guessing will be gone as soon as viewers get to vote. Bachelorette Hannah Brown is competing as well, and I'm already wondering: does she have an unfair advantage?

Hannah was the first celeb to take the floor with her partner in the Season 28 premiere. With professional dance partner Alan Bersten, Hannah got the show off to an exciting start, all sparkles and splits and smiles throughout their cha-cha. They also scored nearly the highest numbers of the night from the judges, with a 7 from Carrie Ann Inaba, a 7 from Len Goodman, and a 6 from Bruno Tonioli for a total of 20.

Now, I'm not arguing that Hannah and Alan didn't earn their great scores, which landed them second on the night behind only James Van Der Beek and pro partner Emma Slater. Hannah went from Miss Alabama to trying to win Colton Underwood's heart on The Bachelor to trying to find the right man for her heart on The Bachelorette, so she's at home in the limelight. While she wasn't on par with any of the pro dancers, she definitely struck me as one of the best celebs of the night. So why am I wondering if she has an unfair advantage?

It's precisely because Hannah went from Miss Alabama to The Bachelor to The Bachelorette. Hannah was only off the air for a couple of months between The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, turned up on Bachelor in Paradise, and then was announced as part of the cast of Dancing with the Stars, all on ABC. She's been in the nationally-televised spotlight a lot more recently than the likes of Kate Flannery, Lamar Odom, and Mary Wilson.

Of course, Sean Spicer also spent a lot of time in the national spotlight, and he's probably not going to win record numbers of votes to stay in the game once viewers get to have their say from home. One of the many differences between Hannah and Spicer -- and most of the rest of the contestants -- is that viewers have very specific reasons to be sympathetic to Hannah.

Poor Hannah was jilted by Colton, who later revealed that he was skewing the process by lying to producers, and then had to deal with all kinds of drama courtesy of some of her Bachelorette favorites. Luke Parker was awful to her, even if she certainly took her time in giving him the boot and dropping the windmill sex bombshell to get rid of him.

Jed Wyatt seemed like a dream come true to Hannah during Bachelorette filming, but his misdeeds (and pre-Bachelorette girlfriend) came to light while Hannah's season aired, and her happily-ever-after ended with Hannah returning the engagement ring to Jed. Although she asked runner-up Tyler Cameron out on a date in a total rom com moment at the end of her finale, that relationship doesn't seem to be shaping up.

For ABC viewers -- and surely there has to be some overlap between the Bachelor franchise and Dancing with the Stars -- Hannah is a very familiar face, there are a lot of reasons to be sympathetic, and she's a great dancer. Do the first two advantages mean that audiences will be inclined to lean in her favor, if it comes down to Hannah vs. anybody else? And is that really unfair?

I've been immersed in the Bachelor franchise for a while, and I'd love to see Hannah win some happiness. I'm just not sure if that's because she should win Dancing with the Stars or if I came in with a bias. For now, I'm confident that Hannah will still be around while some of the other celebs are eliminated, and the top competition may be between Hannah and James Van Der Beek. Who would have guessed?

I'm disappointed but not surprised that The Bachelorette 2019's Peter Weber -- pilot Pete, pool table Pete, Pete of the windmill sex -- will be The Bachelor 2020. There were already whispers that Peter was going to be the next Bachelor, then spoiler guru Reality Steve just updated with the closest thing to confirmation before ABC announces it -- either on Bachelor in Paradise or maybe on Good Morning America. Something on ABC.

So, sorry Mike Johnson. Sorry, Derek Peth. Sorry, Tyler Cameron. Sorry, John Paul Jones and my dream of a season following JPJ's yas queen antics. Sorry to anyone who wanted something new and different.

Sorry not sorry but I'm not a Pete fan. It's OK, though, because I'm usually not a fan of who ABC picks as the lead. I wasn't thrilled at first about Hannah Brown being the Bachelorette, and I thought Colton Underwood was the most vanilla bland choice imaginable. (Colton did pick Pete to be the next Bachelor, although only to keep him away from Cassie...)

Anyway, here's Reality Steve's update:

When Bachelorette Hannah's season ended, Pete was one of the frontrunners to be the next Bachelor, but he didn't seem ahead of Mike Johnson, and no one was ahead of Tyler C. However, when Hannah asked Tyler C. out on a date, it looked like maybe he'd be out of the Bachelor running. Then Tyler C. started dating supermodel Gigi Hadid. Apparently that's still going well enough that we don't get Tyler C. as the Bachelor or on Dancing With the Stars with Hannah. (He really is the new Peter Kraus.)

With Tyler C. out of the running, it looked like it was down to Mike or Pete. I'm not big on Pete, but he does look like a classic ABC choice. Mike even called him the safe choice, and that's exactly right. He looks like a cross between a half dozen previous leads -- Nick Viall mixed with Andy Baldwin, maybe some earnest Colton thrown in, mixed with the previous Bachelor pilot, Jake Pavelka. That should've warned them against pilots for all time!

Before Reality Steve weighed in with his spoilers, E! just had a story saying Pete was the frontrunner to be named the next Bachelor:

This source said Derek Peth was a "long shot," despite the recent surge for his Bachelor chances after Demi dumped him during Bachelor in Paradise.

The part that really bugged me was this source's patronizing take on Mike:

Why not? What makes Pete more able to carry his own show? How is Peter more dynamic than Mike? Pete's pool table move was more sloppy than sexy. And we don't even know if those four times in the windmill were good for Hannah B. or just for him. (She did dump him RIGHT after that, after all.) Plus, there's the whole thing with his ex-girlfriend -- dumping and then ghosting her right before Christmas in suspicious timing that happened to match Bachelor producers following him on social media and casting him for the show. Peter just benefitted from not being as bad as Wrong Reasons Jed or Luke P.

I'll still watch The Bachelor 2020, since the show is mostly about the contestants anyway. There will be some crazy ladies for Pete to take to another windmill. Some of them will end up on Bachelor in Paradise 2020, I have no doubt.

For now, continue watching Bachelor in Paradise 2019 Mondays and Tuesdays, and mourn for the loss of a John Paul Jones (or Mike or Derek) Bachelor season.

Whenever ABC chooses a new lead for The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, fans always wonder how they decide who's right for the top spot. Of course, this is especially true if the good people of Bachelor Nation decide they dislike the latest Bachelor or Bachelorette. Well, now franchise host Chris Harrison has let us in on the secrets behind deciding who will next be chosen to date 30 sometimes-not-so-wonderful singles all at once.

You hear that Bachelor Nation? Tyler Cameron might not be the reality dating show hero we need right now! OK, now that you've all composed yourselves (or fired off angry missives to ABC, Chris Harrison and Bachelor producers) we can break down what Harrison told E! News with clear heads.

As you might imagine, it's not just one thing that leads the producers to choose every Bachelorette and Bachelor, as there are a host of qualities and circumstances that are needed to make a person right to step into the role of lead in the franchise.

Obviously, pretty much everyone who shows up on either show is physically attractive, so that never has to be a real consideration, but that doesn’t mean that every good looking man and woman who has graced the franchise is fit to lead. The first thing Harrison mentioned as something they look for in potential leads is “television,” and I’m going to assume that he means two things here, which actually also encompass the "story" and "layers" portions of his explanation.

First, the audience needs to have some connection to the person they choose. On a show like Bachelor in Paradise, it’s pretty easy to pick out anyone from past seasons, because there are so many cast members, and everyone has their own storyline. But, being the lead means being able to really drive the main story of the season, and that’s always the search for love. If the fans don’t feel a connection with the lead, then they won’t care whether or not that person finds love and the whole idea of the series is sunk.

The idea of this connection is probably why leads are typically chosen from the previous seasons. Hannah Brown, for example, started her Bachelor journey on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor, and Colton, in turn, was plucked from Becca Kufrin’s Bachelorette season to act as lead. This way, there’s already built-in interest from at least a portion of the audience, meaning that people will be invested in each lead's story right away.

Secondly, and this one is way more straight forward, the producers have to look for someone who would make for good television, in general. If you’ve watched either show (And I know you have. I mean, come on, you’re reading this article.) you’ll know that not every pretty person who shows up in Bachelor-land turns out to be comfortable being open with their feelings in front of cameras. And, this makes sense, because the cameras are on these people all the time for several weeks.

Once they find a few people who fit these requirements, the producers need to branch out and consider other aspects of each potentials' life. Chris Harrison used the perfect example of Tyler Cameron, who made a wonderful showing on Hannah’s recently completed season of The Bachelorette. I don’t have any firm numbers on this, but as a part of Bachelor Nation who happens to pay attention to what people say about the show online every season, I’m going to guess that about 90% of female America is in love with Tyler right now, so he clearly fulfills those top two requirements.

But, as Harrison so deftly pointed out, while a lot of people would love to see him as the next Bachelor, Tyler might not be into the idea, mainly because he seems to be getting kind of serious with supermodel Gigi Hadid.

If you can date a supermodel (Not that everything is about looks, but…come on!) then why waste your time by heading back into the drama-filled environment that is the Bachelor franchise? Not only are you cut off from all your family and friends for weeks at a time, but you have to date a lot of people at once, break up with most of them on camera and expose a lot of yourself (No, not like that. Minds out of gutters, people.) with soooo many people watching.

Sure, you might find real love in the Bachelor franchise, but most people would probably prefer to find it without going through the deep scrutiny that comes with looking for their person on national television. And, as we all know, that spotlight doesn't immediately go away once your time on the show is over.

When you add up the ability of someone to capture people's attention and get them invested in their quest for love, and the timing of that quest compared to when the franchise needs a new lead, well, Chris Harrison is telling us that that's the perfect storm that gives us The Bachelor and The Bachelorette every season. And, so far, they seem to be doing a pretty good job of choosing folks. You don't get to Season 24 and 16, respectively, and have a franchise that is bad at picking leads.

Right now, you can watch a lot of also-rans from the Bachelor franchise try to find love in Mexico, when Bachelor in Paradise airs on ABC, Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST. If you're just biding your time until The Bachelor starts airing again, you can watch a whole host of fall TV premieres in the meantime.

Bachelorette Hannah Brown may have a big week ahead. She's showing up on Bachelor in Paradise 2019 -- although not to actually join that cast to date anyone -- and she should have her name announced with the Dancing With the Stars Season 28 cast.

I previously speculated that both Bachelorette Hannah B. and her runner-up Tyler C. might be cast for Dancing With the Stars 2019. That's still possible, but spoiler guru Reality Steve was only confident about Hannah being on the show. He didn't think Tyler would be cast. To me, it would be great to have both Hannah and Tyler C., since he's arguably the most popular Bachelorette guy they've had in years, he's an ABC star, and they might even get Gigi Hadid to show up in the audience. Plus, if he's not the next Bachelor and he's not on DWTS .. what a missed opportunity to capitalize on Tyler C.'s popularity, ABC. (But that would be in keeping with Tyler Cameron as the new Peter Kraus.)

At any rate, spoilers point to Hannah B. on Dancing With the Stars, and that spoiler should be confirmed when the full cast is revealed. When will that be? Well, the first two names were supposed to be announced two weeks ago, but ABC postponed the reveal due to the shootings. Now Good Morning America has announced the new reveal date for the full cast will be next Wednesday, August 21:

Nice. We've been told that Dancing With the Stars has some format changes ahead, but they're meant to be the kind of changes fans want -- per host Tom Bergeron -- with the goal to keep the show on the air for many more seasons. DWTS used to air twice a year, in spring and fall, and it's not clear if the show will ever return to that format. I'd imagine ratings for the fall 2019 Season 28 will be a major factor. Last fall's Season 27 left fans with many complaints. Before that, we had the shortened all-athletes season, which also didn't seem to be what fans wanted.

Dancing With the Stars 2019 is meant to have bigger stars, and some fans might think that would leave out a Bachelorette star like Hannah Brown. But she's officially a TV star after The Bachelor and Bachelorette, with millions of followers after a very highly rated season.

Dancing With the Stars likes to cast the same types of people over and over. Maybe that will change this year, but there have been several Bachelor Nation alumni over the years. Bachelor Season 13 alum Melissa Rycroft is the only one to win, and that came on her second try in All-Stars Season 15. Trista Sutter, Jake Pavelka, Sean Lowe, Chris Soules, Nick Viall, an Joe Amabile haven't danced up to Melissa's standard. It's about time the Bachelor franchise sent over another woman, and it speaks to Hannah B.'s popularity that she was picked as the third woman to dance.

And since Bachelorette Hannah B. is single, maybe they'd find a single pro for her to dance with? Dancing With the Stars is known for its showmances, but also for starting several real-life romances.

Speaking of romance, Bachelor in Paradise is still airing, but I'm thinking The Bachelor 2020 is going to be pilot Peter Weber. He's the kind of (bland) guy the franchise loves, and fans really didn't seem to care about how he treated his ex-girlfriend, partly because they think he's cute and also because Jed and Luke P. were there to make him look better.

I'd still prefer the Bachelor to be Mike Johnson or Tyler Cameron, if Tyler isn't too serious with Gigi Hadid. It's not like Bachelor Ben Flajnik didn't go on a date with Jennifer Love Hewitt before his season, so there's precedent. (Not that things ended well for Bachelor Ben.)

The Dancing With the Stars cast (and the all-important pros!) will be revealed Wednesday, August 21 on Good Morning America. The season premieres Monday, September 16 on ABC. Who do you want to see in the 2019 cast?

Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette has been over for a couple of weeks now, and she's recently come forward to let everyone know just how much has changed in her life. While many people can easily guess that going back to a regular life after having your heart laid bare while looking for love on national television would be difficult, the past few months have not been easy for Hannah.

It turns out that the process of coming down off of Hannah's experience has been a lot trickier than most of us could have assumed, and the now former Bachelorette is in the middle of a rough time as she tries to adjust to all the changes in her life. Here's what she had to say:

Wow. Hannah Brown went all the way there in her Instagram post, and she makes it very clear that she is definitely going through some things now that her year long journey of being in the Bachelor franchise has come to a close. In her post, Hannah appears to really lay all the challenges involved in this new chapter of her life on the line, so let's try to break down all her major points.

Obviously, the focus of this past year for Hannah Brown has been trying to fall in love. She started by becoming one of Colton Underwood's many girlfriends on The Bachelor, and then moved on to leading The Bachelorette a short time later. So, in just one year she's found herself falling in love with several different men. And, it was just a few weeks ago that we saw Hannah struggle to choose between her final four men: Peter Weber, Tyler Cameron, Jed Wyatt and Luke Parker.

That's a lot to go through in the romance department in less than a full year, and it would be difficult enough to choose between four good guys, but it turns out that Hannah ended up not making the best decision. She got engaged to Jed, but found out about the allegations that he had a girlfriend waiting back home during the filming of their season once she had already accepted and finished the show. So, she had to break off that engagement when she spoke to Jed and was unsatisfied with his answers.

Part of the reason Hannah ended up with Jed was her decision to finally dump Luke during fantasy suites week, leaving her with three potential fiancés. In the fight heard around Bachelor Nation, Hannah sent Luke home after he instigated a conversation about sex, saying that if she'd had sex with any of her remaining men he'd want to leave. Luke's many revelations during this conversation infuriated Hannah to the point where she felt the need to tell him that she had, in fact, had sex in a windmill with one of her other suitors, just to finally get him to leave.

And, as Hannah mentioned in her post, that conversation, and admission of pre-marital sex, has led to her being branded "promiscuous" by many people who feel her unabashed actions shouldn't represent someone who claims to be a woman of Christian faith. But, those very same actions have led others to see her as a role model and opened up conversations about sex and faith in positive ways. I don't know about you, but I think having millions of people bad mouth me for the same exact thing that millions of others are admiring me for would cause some severe mental whiplash.

So, we can already really see why everything that Hannah's been through lately would make her feel that she's "struggling." Just going through all of her romantic entanglements would lead most folks to want a year long vacation where they only speak to people they have no interest in dating. But, when you add in the fact that millions of people watched that journey, and have had their say publicly about what Hannah did or didn't do, you can see that her struggle right now is very real.

On top of all this, Hannah has admitted that it's been difficult to even take solace in the friends and family who support her. Not only is she living alone for the first time in her young life, she's also been living in Los Angeles, which is far away from her the people who know her best, most of whom are still back in her home state of Alabama.

Hannah also noted that she simply doesn't have the "time or emotional capacity" to fill those people in on what things are like for her right now, and she feels "guilty" about it. But, she's also feeling as though she can't keep up with her own life and how everything has changed for her, which makes a lot of sense. Can you imagine going through all of these things on camera, and having people continue to talk about you and your love life even once those cameras have stopped rolling.

While Hannah admits that she's "overwhelmed" by everything that's happening, she also seems to have hope that this time will make her stronger, much like actually being on The Bachelor and becoming The Bachelorette have. Hannah, whatever some people might think about her faith, has decided not to pretend she's not feeling the struggle right now, and has made the choice to "give over the keys to my main man Jesus and let him bless me through this ride."

Hannah's going through a lot right now, but at least is sounds like she's gotten some perspective on the past year and realizes not only that her new life is going to take quite a bit of getting used to, but that there is a way through this hard time. All we can do is hope that she gets through this in the right time and in the best way for her.

The Bachelor 2020 race just got a lot trickier, Bachelor Nation. While Tyler Cameron, everyone's favorite potential Bachelor from Hannah Brown's recently completed, controversy-filled season, has been at the forefront of speculation and fan love when it comes to who might be the next Bachelor, it looks like his romantic life might be more complicated than Bachelor producers would like.

Last week's finale gave fans hope that Tyler and Hannah might reconnect as more than friends, and before the week was out, Tyler was seen coming out of her place in Los Angeles during the early morning and with an overnight bag. On top of that? Well, after Tyler flew back to his current home of New York, he was spotted hanging out with supermodel Gigi Hadid.

So, what does this mean for Tyler's chances of becoming our next Bachelor in 2020? According to Bachelor franchise host with the most, Chris Harrison, all this dating around might, indeed, take Tyler out of the running.

Well, alrighty then, Chris Harrison. Tell it like it is.

Considering the number of scandals that The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have seen over people either getting on the show while still having a significant other at home, or breaking up just to go on the show, it makes total sense that Bachelor producers would not, at least, want the lead to be having the time of his life dating up a storm right before becoming the next Bachelor.

As Chris Harrison told Entertainment Tonight, nabbing the lead position on either series is "about sincerity" and "where you are in your life." So, if Tyler would rather date around, that's cool, obviously, since he's still a single guy. But, if he does have his heart set on being our dreamy, possibly-too-good-to-be-true Bachelor 2020, he'll need to calm way down with all the overnight visits here and dates with famous supermodels there.

Of course, if Tyler really is the man we all fell in love...ahem, I mean, respect from Hannah's season of The Bachelorette, then it seems like he'd be totally upfront with producers about his intentions, should they offer the next season of The Bachelor to him in a few weeks.

Speaking of which, Chris Harrison also confirmed that Peter "Windmill" Weber and Mike Johnson, two other fan favorites from Hannah's season, are still in the running for the position of Bachelor 2020, and said that the next lead will be announced near the end of the next Bachelor in Paradise season.

In case you're wondering what Hannah thinks of Tyler's time with Gigi Hadid just a couple of days after he spent some quality time with her, turns out she's not worried about it. Here's what she told ET:

See, folks? All good; no controversy here. The only thing we really need is for our Tyty to be honest if the Bachelor producers come to call on him for the next season. If he decides to just hang out and explore his dating options with the many lovely women who are sure to be sliding into him DMs (or accidentally-on-purpose sliding into him in real life), he should just say so. Tyler seems to be one of the few high profile Bachelorette suitors who appears to be trouble-free, and we need him to stay that way whether he ends up being the Bachelor or not.

Let's start with the facts, rose-lovers. Hannah Brown's The Bachelorette just ended last Monday and Tuesday. It was extremely dramatic and got ABC a lot of viewers. The ratings went home happy, even if Bachelorette Hannah did not. Or did she? The second night of the finale showed Hannah dump her fiance Jed Wyatt and ask her runner-up Tyler Cameron out for drinks.

Paparazzi photos recently "just happened" to spot Tyler C. leaving Hannah's place in L.A. early Friday morning. Fans read into that a lot, and I'm there with them. However, what if they're not just possibly dating, but also possibly prepping for Dancing With the Stars?

Dancing With the Stars Season 28 premieres September 16 on ABC, right after Bachelor in Paradise finishes melting our brains into slush.

Good Morning America just revealed that the first two DWTS 2019 contestants will be named this Monday morning, August 5:

Will those two contestants be Hannah B. and Tyler C.?

Nice. Of course, if -- big if -- Hannah and Tyler C. are both on Dancing With the Stars, they would not be dancing with each other. They would be just the latest couple (if we can call them that?) to actually compete against each other in some friendly sequined rivalry.

Bachelorette Hannah would be paired with one of the male pros and Tyler C. would be partnered with one of the female pros. Hopefully sparks wouldn't fly, but the good news is that most of the pro dancers are also taken.

How The Bachelorette's Jed Scandal Will Affect Bachelor Casting Going Forward

Don't forget that some changes are coming to DWTS 2019, but -- based on what host Tom Bergeron said -- it sounds like they will be changes fans want. Dancing With the Stars has been off the air for a full year, since the fall 2018 Season 27 ended with a win for Bobby Bones. Season 28 premieres Monday, September 16 on ABC.

Finales in the Bachelor franchise are rarely without their twists, ranging from Arie Luyendyk dumping Becca Kufrin for her runner-up to the super awkward Bachelor in Paradise on-air breakup. For Hannah Brown, however, her biggest twist was a good one. The end of her relationship with Jed after his sketchy behavior was spoiled ahead of time, but nobody could have seen the live turn of events when Hannah asked runner-up Tyler Cameron out on a date. He accepted, so is there a shot at a happily-ever-after?

Yes and no. Tyler may have accepted the date, but it wasn't exactly a proposal or invitation to restart their relationship, and there are undoubtedly a lot of raw feelings on both sides. He was also floated as a popular candidate for the next Bachelor leading man. When asked about her feelings if Tyler went on to star in The Bachelor, Hannah said this:

Hannah doesn't sound like she'd be thrilled to see Tyler as the next Bachelor due to her lingering feelings and apparent willingness to give their romance another shot, but she's also supportive of what could make Tyler happy. For his part, Tyler seemed pretty overjoyed when Hannah shocked him, the audience, and even Chris Harrison with the invitation to go out for a drink.

After how Hannah's Bachelorette finale performed in the ratings, though, I'm guessing plenty of people would tune in to see a Tyler-led season of The Bachelor, and Tyler wasn't definitive about wanting to give their relationship another shot in his reaction to the twist.

Still, the most likely candidates for the Bachelor now seem to be Pilot Peter Weber and Mike Johnson, both of whom Hannah supports for the role. I'm guessing Tyler will be absent from Bachelor in Paradise! Interestingly, Bachelor in Paradise is why Chris Harrison didn't announce the next Bachelor during the Bachelorette finale.

While it's a bummer that we'll have to wait through a bit of Bachelor in Paradise to find out which guy will be distributing roses next on The Bachelor, at least the announcement didn't happen to overshadow Hannah's twist!

Hannah elaborated on her potential future with Tyler in her chat with ET, saying this:

Hannah could probably use a friend who understands what she went through on The Bachelorette, even if what he went through could have easily left him bitter and angry at her.

It is promising to see that neither Hannah nor Tyler seems anxious to jump right back into a serious relationship that will have him down on one knee sooner rather than later. Maybe they have a shot if they get to hang out like normal people! Hopefully, for Tyler's sake, without any horses.

Only time will tell if Hannah and Tyler get to join the ranks of former Bachelor franchise stars who got their happily-ever-after, even if their path to happiness would have been quite unconventional by franchise standards. And hey, maybe Jed will clean up his act after having his pre-Hannah behavior outed on national television!

New seasons of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette are still a ways off, but Bachelor in Paradise premieres with all kinds of Blake-tastic drama, some of Dean being Dean, and more next week on ABC.

Swoon! So they didn't rush out to have those drinks after The Bachelorette and her Jimmy Kimmel Live taping. Part of me was hoping they'd go Full Windmill right away. But they are both looking forward to spending that time together. Not to overstate this, but this drink is my new Steve and Peggy Captain America dance. It needs to happen, and I'd like it to be endgame.

There's precedent for a Bachelor Nation rosegiver to end up with the runner-up. Jason Mesnick became the most hated Bachelor ever when he dumped Melissa Rycroft for Molly Malaney, but now Jason and Molly are married with a daughter and beloved. Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. is less beloved, but he pulled something similar when he dumped his fiancee Becca Kufrin for runner-up Lauren Burnham. Arie and Lauren are now married with a daughter too.

Last night, Jimmy Kimmel asked Bachelorette Hannah if she wishes she had picked Tyler C. in the end. Here's how she answered, and the Tyler C. drinks conversation from there:

Classic Jimmy. But now that Bachelorette fans are this invested, no joke Hannah and Tyler C. need to keep us informed of everything that happens. Oversharing is now canon in Bachelor Nation -- thanks to four times in a windmill, among other things -- so don't go getting private on us now.

Spoiler guru Reality Steve's initial spoilers for The Bachelorette Season 15 said Hannah would pick Tyler C. in the end. When he flipped it to say Hannah would pick Jed, fans were confused. How? Why? So now that it looks like Bachelorette Hannah and Tyler C. still have a shot, all seems right with the world.

That said, how much of this is real and how much was just Bachelorette Hannah wanting to please fans and leave the season on a positive note? Plus, should Tyler C. even want to get back with Hannah after she picked Jed -- Jed! -- over him? No one deserves to be second best.

Do Hannah and Tyler even live anywhere near each other, or would they maybe have a drink in L.A. and he goes back to Florida? He does have a court date this coming week, if nothing else. Hannah is from Alabama, but I see her pursing some kind of entertainment field in L.A. Not sure about him, though.

Variety asked ABC executive Rob Mills if the network would film Hannah and Tyler's relationship, if they decide to rekindle a romance. Here's what he said:

Yep, there's a lot of love for Tyler and Hannah. Maybe we're too invested in this, but The Bachelorette 2019 is so close to being salvaged. I want my own TV time to not have been wasted.

The only downside of this is Tyler C. is probably out of the running to be the 2020 Bachelor -- unless he and Hannah make a statement that they're better off as friends. The drinks may lead nowhere, and if that's the case, they'd better make it clear ASAP so Tyler C. can still be considered. Here's what Hannah had to say about her choice(s) for the next Bachelor.

They -- ABC and the producers -- have about six weeks to figure it out while Bachelor in Paradise airs, since the next Bachelor won't be announced until after the spinoff. Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays on ABC. I'm still wondering if John Paul Jones has a serious shot at the Bachelor. I'm not pushing for that myself, but the show has been giving him heavy promotion.

Since I follow The Bachelorette spoilers, the only major surprise from Hannah Brown's 2019 Season 15 finale was when she asked out Tyler Cameron for drinks. I was so pleasantly surprised -- clapping like a damn seal -- it took me a minute to realize that probably took Tyler C. out of the running to be The Bachelor 2020.

So, at the moment, it looks like the next Bachelor will probably be either Mike Johnson or Peter Weber. That said, ABC is probably going to hold an announcement until after Bachelor in Paradise, which is why I kept John Paul Jones as a possible dark horse in the running. He got a big showcase at the "Men Tell All" and it looks like he may be a favorite on Bachelor in Paradise.

But I still think it will be Mike or Peter, and I'm hoping it's Mike. I'm not feeling Peter, and not just because of the ex-girlfriend thing. I thought his pool table move was more sloppy than sexy. And I know everyone is gaga for the four times in a windmill, but did Hannah, ahem, enjoy herself all four times or did pilot Pete just enjoy himself? Big distinction. She did dump him right after that.

Anyway, Bachelorette Hannah went right from dumping Jed and asking out Tyler C. to Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jimmy spent a good amount of time patting himself -- really his wife -- on the back for "predicting" Jed would be the guy Hannah picked.

During their chat, Jimmy asked Hannah which guy she'd like to see as the next Bachelor. Here's how that conversation played out:

The Jimmy Kimmel Live audience gave a big cheer for Peter. The "Men Tell All" audience gave big love to Mike last week. Jimmy is right, though. She "dated" these guys for about two months, each guy maybe enough to fill a couple of weeks.

So that's why I do still tilt my head and squint at Peter after his whole ex-girlfriend situation. They -- like Jed and his "ex" -- were together a lot longer than the ABC show films. She said Peter dumped her to be on the show, feeling betrayed that he was applying for The Bachelorette while planning for them to go on trips and move in together. Peter told People he wasn't still dating her when he interviewed for The Bachelorette, saying the casting process and his first interview were months after they broke up. (According to his ex, he broke up with her just days before Christmas. The Bachelorette started taping in mid-March, so you have to imagine he applied and was interviewed well before that point.)

Anyway, Peter told People he'd be up for being the next Bachelor:

I won't be surprised if ABC gives the job to Peter. He's the kind of guy they gravitate toward. Plus, they brought his family to the finale, keeping his whole team in the public eye. Apparently Bachelor Colton Underwood would also like Peter to be the next rosegiver, but only because Cassie Randolph said Peter was cute, so Colton joked that he wants Peter off the market.

Mike also said he'd be open to handing out roses. Here's what he told Extra when asked if he'd be up for being the Bachelor:

I hope Mike is the next Bachelor. I was torn when it looked like it would be Tyler C. or Mike. If Tyler and Hannah do move forward with their runner-up relationship, then just let Mike start handing out roses. I don't need to hear another year of windmill jokes.

Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette was hugely melodramatic even by Bachelor franchise standards, with Luke Parker freaking everybody out, a bunch of guys being there for the wrong reasons, and spoilers revealing that Hannah would choose a guy who had a girlfriend back home before joining the show. The season finale was a wild ride that first saw Hannah accept Jed Wyatt's proposal after tearfully sending Tyler Cameron home, then break up with Jed after learning the truth, and then reunite with Tyler for a moment that felt straight out of a rom com.

As expected, the live portion of the finale reunited Hannah with both the "winner" and the runner-up of her season of The Bachelorette. Also as expected for fans who kept up with spoilers, Hannah was done with Jed, and his apology on live TV didn't change her mind or soften her heart toward him. As was definitely not expected, Hannah was all smiles and blushes when Chris announced that she would reunite with Tyler next. She bashfully commented that her feelings for Tyler didn't just go away, prompting the audience to erupt in deafening cheers. Could Hannah have a happily-ever-after after all?

Here's what happened. Hannah was positively glowing when Tyler walked out, and the way he looked at her made it clear that he wasn't holding her choice of Jed against her. Then, in a twist that seriously would not have felt out of place in the final act of a romantic comedy, this exchange happened:

Way to be bold, Hannah! She was smiling and laughing and blushing through her whole speech, and it was honestly wonderful to see her so happy and so confident about a guy who hadn't been called "psychopath," hadn't concealed a relationship despite getting engaged, and hadn't done anything to make it hard to root for her love story with him.

Because this was a happy twist and not Arie and Becca 2.0 or something as uncomfortable as what went down between Bachelor in Paradise's Kamil and Annaliese, Tyler's response was perfect. He said this:

Excuse me while I swoon! Seriously, I needed the catharsis of seeing Hannah smiling and happy by the side of a guy who wasn't surrounded by rumor and controversy.

Chris Harrison seemed as surprised as anybody by the turn of events, although he wasn't shrieking with joy like some of the audience members. He did volunteer to send a date card, a helicopter, a limo, and a hot air balloon, prompting Hannah to promise no horses. Harrison's final comment was that he thinks he can speak for everybody by saying that "we can ship this."

Yay for Hannah! For most of the two-night finale, it seemed like there was no way Hannah could have a happy ending when it was clear that she was going for Jed rather than Tyler. She was even visibly uncomfortable when she reunited with Jed in the live interview portion of the finale, and that could have set the tone for the rest of her night. Instead, she lit up around Tyler, boldly asked him out on a date, and clearly intends to give their relationship a shot without the pressures of a reality TV show.

So, I think it's safe to say that Tyler won't be turning up on Bachelor in Paradise or starring in the next season of The Bachelor! The new Bachelor leading man wasn't announced, and Chris Harrison explained why. Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette has almost come to an end. For any fans who thought that the melodrama would die down once Hannah finally got rid of Luke Parker (and the ensuing Twitter war), the first half of the two-night season finale on July 29 was proof to the contrary. The episode was a combination of footage from when Hannah was still trying to choose between Jed Wyatt and Tyler Cameron, and live video with Chris Harrison interviewing Hannah and others in the studio.

In live footage from the final moments of the episode, Hannah addressed viewers and was visibly emotional as she worked up the nerve to confess that she doesn't know what's in store in the second half of the finale, which will also feature live reunions and almost certainly confrontations. Here's how Hannah put it:

Hannah was having a hard time choosing between Jed and Tyler in the first night of the finale, and had already been deeply upset when she had to break Peter's heart. Based on her comments in the live footage, she doesn't get a happily-ever-after even once she makes her big decision between her final two suitors. The live nature of the second night of the finale means that even she can't predict what's in store.

Poor Hannah! At least she got some laughs earlier in the episode when she dropped the bombshell reveal about her windmill sex right in front of Peter's parents.

For fans who don't pay attention to any Bachelorette news or rumors and just enjoy the show for what it is, Hannah's emotional statement about not knowing that happens in the finale probably came as a surprise. After all, Bachelor and Bachelorette stars often are happy and confident in their finales, even if they have to face uncomfortable decisions in the process. (That's right, Arie, I still remember what you said to Becca!)

For fans who have been paying attention to the news and rumors surrounding Hannah's season of The Bachelorette, her statement probably made a lot of sense. Many seasons in the Bachelor franchise feature oddball suitors and suitors who are there for the wrong reasons, but Hannah has had an especially rough ride, both during filming and while the series began airing. Why? Well, she (and viewers everywhere) learned some unpleasant truths about her pool of contestants.

Early reports indicated that Hannah would pick none other than Jed as her future husband, and those reports were followed by a woman coming forward to claim that she and Jed had been in a relationship right before filming began on The Bachelorette. Nashville musician Haley Stevens claimed that they "spent the night together the night before he headed to L.A." to begin courting Hannah.

Rumors surfaced that Hannah had broken off their engagement, but did not totally end the relationship. This changed later on, and current spoilers suggest that she and Jed are broken up altogether, and the breakup was filmed for the finale. Something tells me fan reactions to Hannah dumping Jed on camera will be very different from the reactions to Arie dumping Becca on camera, if that's how it goes in the second night of Hannah's finale!

Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette has been a wild ride, largely thanks to Luke Parker's antics up to and including Hannah giving him the boot. The off-screen reveals about Jed Wyatt didn't exactly give the impression that Hannah would 100% get a happily-ever-after if she chose him. Still, one of the most talked-about moments from the season was buzz-worthy for a fun reason: Hannah had sex with one of her suitors in a windmill... twice, according to Hannah herself. And that suitor was none other than Peter.

Now, the windmill sex reveal was first teased in a trailer, and it basically became Hannah Brown's version of Colton Underwood's fence jump from his season of The Bachelor. It was finally confirmed that Peter Weber was with Hannah in the windmill, and that seemed to be the end of the story... until the live portion of the first half of Hannah's season finale. Peter failed to get a rose in the first elimination of the finale, and they reunited in front of a live studio audience.

While the beginning of their reunion was mostly sad and awkward, with Peter still a little bit in love with Hannah and Hannah clearly not wanting to hurt him but wanting to explain as best she could. Things took a turn for the more entertaining when Hannah revealed that she hadn't been telling the whole truth when she'd loudly declared that she hooked up with Peter in the windmill twice. Here's how she finally told the truth:

Hannah had a big old grin on her face as soon as she started talking about being "a little dishonest," and Peter started grinning right along with her despite clearly not knowing where she was going with it. But hey, would it really have been right if Peter was remembered as the guy who had sex with Hannah twice when there had actually been four times? Hannah seemed determined to give Peter some credit.

The big reveal came after host Chris Harrison commented that nobody would look at windmills the same after them, and it's a credit to both Hannah and Peter that what followed was fun and funny rather than super awkward and uncomfortable.

It really could have been spectacularly awkward, as Peter's parents were both sitting in the audience and watching quite attentively. And if Peter was surprised by Hannah revealing that the real number was four, his parents were absolutely and kind of hilariously shocked. Just take a look at their immediate reactions:

Both parents burst out laughing, but I can't help but feel like there was more than just amusement. Peter's dad went bright red and did seem genuinely tickled by what Hannah said, if totally shocked. As for Peter's mom, her laughter was more hysterical than actually entertained. Her laughter could literally be heard over everything else in the audio, and it definitely was a bit shrieky.

When Chris Harrison noted that Hannah just shared how many times she'd had sex with Peter in front of Peter's mom, Hannah just said that "he's a great catch." Congrats, Mom?

Chris Harrison had his own reactions to the bombshell reveal, and I really got the sense that he didn't know Hannah was going to say what she said either. He stood up and saluted Peter, then dropped a comment that a whole lot of viewers were probably thinking as well:

The initial reveal that Hannah and one of her guys had had sex in a windmill came when Luke Parker kept insisting that he wanted to be with Hannah while also standing by his stance that it wouldn't be right if she had sex with anybody on the show. Finally, to get rid of him, she told him about the windmill sex, and that more or less did the trick.

He did ask to pray over her, and then returned in the next episode, but he is gone. Not without scoring some huge ratings for The Bachelorette, though! At the time of writing, Luke hasn't fired any cyber shots at Hannah to renew their Twitter war, but only time will tell if he wants to share his thoughts. For her part, Hannah did reveal that there was "a silver lining" to their bonkers relationship.

Despite the potential mortification of Hannah revealing how many times they'd had sex in front of his parents, Peter's laughter seemed very genuine, and his reaction was pretty great. After he had a few moments to process that Hannah had really said that on live TV, he said this:

Peter echoed Hannah's jab at Luke P. when she declared that Jesus still loved her despite hooking up with somebody twice in the windmill, and he got big laughs for it. For her part, Hannah declared "Amen!" in response to his comment. Honestly, Peter and Hannah came across as two people who could actually be good friends despite the breakup, but I'm guessing that won't happen. Then again, maybe he'll end up as the next Bachelor, and that would definitely keep him in the franchise.

It was relatively early in the season when spoilers from a reliable source seemingly revealed who was Hannah's final choice by the end, but the situation got sticky when news broke that Jed had a girlfriend back home right before joining The Bachelorette, and all of his mentions of his music career weren't accidental. Hannah reportedly broke up with Jed, and that breakup may have been filmed for the finale.

Find out when the second half of Hannah's season finale airs Tuesday, July 30 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The episode will hopefully include the reveal of the next leading man of The Bachelorette, and possibly the most dramatic on-screen reality TV breakup since Arie dumped Becca. If Hannah does dump Jed on camera, though, I doubt legions of fans will be putting up billboards supporting him.
