Every decade has movies that help define it, and even if you think that it’s a 1990s movie that didn’t stand the test of time, American Pie certainly counts as one of those films with its 1999 release, along with widely being considered one of the best ‘90s teen movies. The coming of age movie was certainly a hit, but now star Jason Biggs has had to discuss his infamous NSFW pie scene with his son, and I’m definitely laughing and cringing at how it all went down.

What Happened When American Pie’s Jason Biggs Talked To His Son About That Pie Scene?

Most actors probably dream of landing a gig that will raise their profile, and for Jason Biggs and his young co-stars, American Pie was the movie that did it. The film was a massive hit which spawned a franchise that is actually nine films long, and is still talked about to this day, to the point where even Taylor Swift gave it a shoutout not that long ago.

Of course, one of the reasons it’s still part of the pop culture conversation is the scene where Biggs’ character, Jim, actually does the down 'n' dirty with a warm apple pie. Though filming that scene, apparently, wasn’t for the faint of heart (It took six hours!), it may have been even weirder for the actor to explain what happened in the movie to his 11-year-old son, Sid. When appearing on The Julia Cunningham Show recently, he revealed that he and his wife decided it was time to rip that Band-Aid off and explained what happened:

Well, you can’t stay mum about something like this forever, so it makes sense that meeting his oldest son’s questions head on felt like the best option, though it does sound like they were kinda pressured into it, timing-wise:

Alright, time for a short public service announcement. Even if you can’t remember an actor’s name or the title of the movie they were in, it might not be best to just yell “pie fucker” at them. Have you no breeding, sir?! Anyway, Biggs continued, and, yes, it got really awkward for him and poor, young Sid, and I’m getting all flop-sweaty and church-giggly just thinking about it:

Honestly, as cringy as all this sounds, I do think Biggs (who had a “momentary freakout” right before filming the pie fuckery in question) handled it all like a champ, and his kid made it out relatively unscathed, as well. Now I can’t help but wonder if he’ll broach the topic of that one scene that absolutely wouldn’t fly today. If he does, I’m sure Biggs will take the perfect approach.

There’s always an element of risk that comes with being an actor. You never quite know how people are going to react to something you put out there. Will your emotional breakdown scene connect with people or will they laugh at it? Will that satirical joke land or will people be offended? You kind of just have to trust your instinct, which is certainly something American Pie actor Jason Biggs can speak to. He thought the scene where he has sex with the pie sounded hilarious on his first read through, but once it came time to actually film it, the messy gravity of it all suddenly struck him.

The actor recently sat down with People to talk about what is still undoubtedly his most famous scene more than two decades later, and he was extremely candid in his assessment. He admitted he had a “momentary freakout” when he was about to shoot and wound up calling his manager, who told him to get back in there and hump that pie. Here’s a portion of his quote…

Of course the scene wound up the most memorable moment of the film, and the film itself turned into an unexpectedly huge box office hit and cultural touchstone. Three direct sequels followed, as well as five spinoff movies with American Pie branding. Recently, there have been rumors we could even get another one. It also opened the doors to a ton of additional opportunities for the primary cast members including Biggs, but it didn’t take all that for Biggs to realize he made the right call filming the scene. 

Instead, all it took was for him to see the reaction of everyone on set once he pulled his pants down and went for it. They couldn’t stop laughing, and their approval made him realize what he was doing was working. In fact, he previously revealed he spent six hours shooting different versions. Here’s his recollection of events…

Biggs will spend the rest of his career being asked about that pie scene, but it turns out his most recent quotes about it aren’t random. The comedian launched a partnership with Edwards Desserts to, of course, sell pies. It’s a fitting spokesman job for Biggs, whose big risk is still paying off financially and professionally all these years later.

You can next catch Biggs in an upcoming holiday movie called Best.Christmas.Ever. It’s scheduled to hit Netflix later this year and may or may not include any pie-related scenes. 

When it comes to some of the best coming of age films, one of the first ones that always comes to mind is American Pie. While it’s not as emotional as other movies in the same genre, such as the Hailee Steinfeld-led The Edge of Seventeen or The Perks of Being a Wallflower, this film series has cemented itself as one of the funniest coming of age movies out there - and that’s only continued with its subsequent sequels. 

With such a large ensemble, one might wonder where the American Pie cast is now after more than twenty years since its 1999 premiere. From Jason Biggs to Natasha Lyonne, this is what they’ve been up to - and what they’ve starred in.  

Jason Biggs (Jim)

Hands down one of the most known cast members of American Pie is the main man himself, Jason Biggs, who played Jim - you know, that character that goes hand-in-hand with apple pies everywhere. Biggs himself since his big role in American Pie has been quite active in both movies and TV. 

In regards to movies, he’s starred in several hilarious comedies, such as Saving Silverman, Boys and Girls, Over Her Dead Body, My Best Friend’s Girl and more, while also simultaneously appearing in other American Pie sequels. 

Television has been where Biggs has really shined. For a couple of seasons, Biggs was a part of the Orange is the New Black cast on Netflix, playing Larry Bloom. He’s also a part of the comedy, Outmatched, as part of the main cast, and has guest-starred on several shows, such as The Good Fight, Deadbeat and more. I’m sure it’ll only be a matter of time before he pops up on TV once again. 

Alyson Hannigan (Michelle)

Remember that one time at band camp? Michelle sure does in American Pie, played by Alyson Hannigan. Since her role in the teen comedy, Hannigan has made a name for herself in Hollywood. 

With movies, she reprised her role in several of the American Pie sequels, but other than that, she appeared in the Disney+ original movie, Flora & Ulysses, the comedies, Love, Wedding, Marriage and Date Movie, and more. 

Like Biggs, TV is where Hannigan has stood out the most. After American Pie, she went on to have two major main roles in very popular shows - continuing playing Willow Rosenberg as part of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer cast, and playing Lily Aldrin in How I Met Your Mother. Recently, she’s taken on roles such as the host of Penn & Teller: Fool Us, a main voice role in Fancy Nancy, and several guest appearances on TV shows. 

Seann William Scott (Steve Stifler)

Playing Steve Stifler in American Pie was Seann William Scott, and just like his co-stars, Scott has done a lot in both movies and TV. With movies, he’s appeared in several hilarious comedies such as Dude, Where’s My Car?, Mr. Woodcock, Road Trip and more, as well as stepping into other genres, such as the horror film, Final Destination, or the sports comedy, Goon and its sequel. 

Scott has also proven himself to be a talented voice actor as well, voicing Crash from the Ice Age film series for several of its movies. Scott also had the main role of Wesley Cole in the TV series, Lethal Weapon, and will play Father Joe in the Fox TV series, Welcome to Flatch.

Eugene Levy (Jim's Father)

While Levy's fame has only grown in recent years, it wasn’t long ago that one of his most hilarious roles was playing Mr. Levenstein in American Pie, otherwise known as Jim’s father. 

Since his appearance in the film, Levy has appeared in a variety of movies and TV shows. While he reprised his role for several American Pie sequels, he appeared in movies such as New York Minute, Curious George, Taking Woodstock, Goon, Finding Dory and more. He's also well known for his work (appearing in and co-writing) on numerous Christopher Guest movies (Best In Show, Waiting for Guffman, etc.). 

Arguably, Eugene Levy’s biggest work since his time in the American Pie series was co-creating the hit comedy, Schitt’s Creek, alongside his son, Dan Levy, and being a part of the Schitt’s Creek cast. However, Levy has also appeared in other shows as well as a guest or a recurring character, like Package Deal, Greg the Bunny and others. 

Tara Reid (Vicky)

Another famous face from American Pie is Tara Reid, who played Vicky in the series. After her role in the original movie, Tara Reid reprised her role for a couple of the American Pie sequels, and went on to star in a lot of comedies and independent films. 

Some of these include Josie and the Pussycats, Van Wilder, My Boss’s Daughter and more. Reid had a main role as April Wexler in the TV film series, Sharknado, from 2013 to 2018. Reid has also guest-starred in many shows whether as herself or a character, such as the Amazon original series, The Boys, Hell’s Kitchen and more. 

Chris Klein (Oz)

Moving on, now we have Oz from American Pie, played by Chris Klein. Since his appearance in the first film, Klein has popped up in many roles in both movies and television. With film, he reprised the role of Oz in several of the American Pie sequels, as well as appeared in movies such as The United States of Leland, Just Friends, Caught in the Crossfire, Game of Aces, Ron’s Gone Wrong and more. 

Klein has also made a career for himself in television as well. His most recent role is playing Bill Townsend in the Netflix original series, Sweet Magnolias, but he’s appeared in many other shows. For example, he played Cicada in the CW original show, The Flash, for Season 5, voiced Dash in TRON: Uprising, appeared in The Good Guys, had a recurring role in Wilfred and many other parts. 

Natasha Lyonne (Jessica)

Natasha Lyonne as Jessica in American Pie will always be one of my favorite roles in a teen comedy, because she just knocked it out of the park. Since her appearance in the movie, Lyonne has made a name for herself, both in movies and TV. 

Lyonne, in terms of movies, has made a living appearing in comedies and independent films, such as Sleeping with Other People, Hello, My Name Is Doris, the body horror movie, Antibirth, The United States vs. Billie Holiday, and more. 

Television, however, is Lyonne’s bread and butter in my opinion, as she has appeared in several amazing shows. Like Biggs, Lyonne was a part of the Orange is the New Black cast as Nicky, and then went on to have her own show on Netflix, titled Russian Doll, which was nominated for Primetime Emmy awards. In addition to that, she’s also appeared as a guest star or recurring character on many other TV shows, like Girls and Portlandia. 

Mena Suvari (Heather)

Heather has always been one of my favorite characters from American Pie just because I really liked her relationship with Oz, and she was played by Mena Suvari. Since her appearance in the role, Suvari has reprised the character for a couple of the sequels, as well as made a name for herself in movies and TV. 

The same year that American Pie came out, Suvari turned heads in the Academy-Award winning movie, American Beauty, showing her talent as an actress. Afterwards, she would appear in several other movies such as Loser, Sugar & Spice, You May Not Kiss the Bride, The Opposite Sex, The Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, and many more. She also had a role in Ron’s Gone Wrong, voicing B-Bot. 

Suvari has also appeared in many TV shows. Some of her more prominent roles include playing Edie in the HBO limited series, Six Feet Under, portraying the Black Dahlia in American Horror Story: Murder House (which she reprised in American Horror Story: Apocalypse), appearing as Maria Abascal in South of Hell, and playing Kathleen in American Woman.

Shannon Elizabeth (Nadia)

Next up, we have Nadia, one of Jim’s love interests in American Pie, played by Shannon Elizabeth. Since her appearance in American Pie, Elizabeth has reprised the role of Nadia in a couple of the American Pie sequels, as well as appearing in other movie roles. Some of her most known are the Christmas movie, Love Actually, the parody film, Scary Movie, the action film, The Outsider and more. 

Elizabeth has also had some prominent roles in television, including playing Brooke in That ‘70s Show and Tiffany Sherwood in Cuts. She’s also had guest appearances in shows like Melissa & Joey, What Not to Wear, and more. 

In 2018, she was a houseguest on Celebrity Big Brother. And in 2019, she returned to her role as Justice for Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. 

Eddie Kaye Thomas (Paul Finch)

Next up, we have Paul Finch in American Pie, played by Eddie Kaye Thomas. Since his appearance in the first movie, Thomas has appeared in many movies, including the sequels to American Pie years later. Some of his other great roles have included playing Andy Rosenberg in the Harold & Kumar comedy film series, appearing as Michael Petunia in Petunia, and playing Dave in Alex & the List, among other smaller films. 

In television, Thomas has had numerous roles. He played Russell in Brutally Normal, Mike Platt in Off Centre, Jeff Woodcock in ‘Til Death, David Kaplan in How to Make it in America, and Tobias in Scorpion. Talk about someone who is busy in the TV industry. He’s also had guest appearances in shows like This Is Us, Outmatched, The Prodigal Son and others. 

Thomas Ian Nicholas (Kevin Myers)

Thomas Ian Nicholas played Kevin Myers in American Pie, and has reprised this role in a couple of the American Pie movies. Some of his other roles that he has appeared in were playing Bill Woodlake in Halloween: Resurrection as part of the Halloween franchise, Sherman’s Way, The Chicago 8, Adverse and Zeroville, as well as smaller film appearances. 

Nicholas has also popped up in several TV shows, from guest parts to recurring roles. This includes having a recurring role on Party of Five, a recurring appearance on Red Band Society, a main role on the animated TV series, Gormiti, some guest roles in shows like Medium and Grey’s Anatomy and more. He also had a guest appearance on the reality cooking show, Hell’s Kitchen. I for one can't wait to see what he does next, whether that be in movies or TV.

Jennifer Coolidge (Stifler’s Mother)

Last but certainly not least, we have Jennifer Coolidge, who played Stifler’s mother in American Pie. Coolidge has had quite the film career while also appearing in a couple of the American Pie sequels. 

She was a part of the Legally Blonde cast, and has appeared in many hit comedy movies such as Zoolander, the Cinderella movie, A Cinderella Story, Austenland, and more, as well as popping up in more serious roles such as Promising Young Woman. One of her most recent appearances in a movie was the Netflix original film, Single All the Way. 

Coolidge has also made a career out of television as well. While appearing in many TV shows as a guest, she’s also had main roles in series’ such as Joey, the teen series, The Secret Life of the American Teenager, Gravity Falls, The Fungies!, and most recently, the HBO anthology series, The White Lotus. Talk about a stacked resume - and I can't wait to see what she does next. 

You know, I think it’s time for another American Pie reunion. Maybe not as part of the 2022 movies but soon. Anyone up for a sequel? As long as these fantastic actors are in it, I think I’ll love the heck out of it. I also think this just makes me want to eat apple pie - you know, without the giant hole.  

It has been more than 20 years since American Pie hit theaters in the summer of 1999. Jason Biggs led the R-rated ensemble comedy as Jim Levenstein. American Pie has some scenes that would not be accepted today. However, this promo from Outmatched appears to totally be cool. Am I the only one who laughed out loud when Maggie Lawson’s Kay said, “down to friend?" in the footage? I am not sure if Alyson Hannigan and Eddie Kaye Thomas’ characters are really hitting it off with Lawson and Biggs’ characters.

At one point in the Outmatched promo, the American Pie stars try to leave early in their “friend date.” Things should take some sort of positive turn, depending on who you ask. The kids of Jason Biggs’ Outmatched character apparently take umbrage with their parents’ relationship with their classmates’ parents. They think Alyson Hannigan and Eddie Kaye Thomas’s characters are “bad influences,” per EW.

It does appear that Alyson Hannigan’s character will throw back a red solo cup shot in the Outmatched episode. Is that in the middle of the day? It's hard to say if it comes before or after the "friend date."

There is one way to know for sure, and that is to watch the Outmatched episode when it airs Thursday, March 12. You have to suspect that Outmatched may work in a few inside jokes related to American Pie. Sort of like what Last Man Standing has done with Toy Story jokes in the past.

Either way, it is another big screen reunion win for the small screen. Seann William Scott has lined up a pilot at Fox, so maybe he can eventually swing by Outmatched. It would be neat to see Stifler and Jim sharing a scene. You just never know. Television is a rather limitless place right now. Hopefully, Alyson Hannigan and Eddie Kay Thomas are setting the trend.

Time will tell what ends up happening. It will not be too much longer before fans of American Pie get a chance to see three of its cast members reunite on the FOX sitcom. New episodes of Outmatched air Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. ET on Fox. The comedy is not the only show airing new! There are also this winter and spring’s premieres.

American Pie star Jason Biggs is out and about promoting his new series Outmatched on Fox, but while he’s successfully made the transition to television in recent years, he’s still known for his early roles in teen comedies like American Pie. Speaking on how the film “represented a generation,” Jason Biggs had a lot of nice things to say about the franchise, although there’s at least one scene that would never fly now.

And if you were thinking he’d be talking about the time he shoved his penis in a pie in the original American Pie movie, that scene still holds up. Instead, he’s talking about the scene with the web cam and Biggs’ Jim records exchange student Nadia (played by Shannon Elizabeth) without her knowing. He said:

We live in a time now where people have gotten into trouble for secretly recording people in spaces like gym changing rooms or tanning beds. This includes that infamous case with Playmate of the Year Dani Mathers recording an elderly woman in a gym and later getting sentenced to community service after she shared an image on social media.

But it just wasn’t really even an idea in people’s minds that this could be a wide-ranging and longterm problem in 1999 when American Pie was filming. In fact, Jason Biggs even recalled on AM to DM that his big takeaway at the time was finding out a computer could have a camera on it. The Internet and even computers and phones were not sophisticated at the time and this was pre-social media, as well. I mean look at that old school computer formatting at the start of the scene in question.

Nowadays, the hero of a given movie would be unlikely to spy on a naked young woman with a webcam and come out unscathed. But Jason Biggs still iterates he’s “proud” of American Pie and the franchise as a whole and says that people still respond positively to the film, even if there are one or two scenes that haven’t aged quite so well.

Jason Biggs also touched on the fact that American Pie fans are mostly similarly aged to him these days (he’s 41 and a dad), so “it’s wild to meet people that are 40+.” But it’s perhaps worse when teenaged kids walk up to him to declare their parents love his movies. Time passes and things change and nowhere is this more apparent than when watching movies years later.

Hindsight is always 20/20, especially when it comes to Marvel and The Avengers. When you look back on all the events leading up to these cinematic endeavors, everything can seem so obvious in retrospect. Like, how could you not see it? Alas, when it comes to film reporting, nobody can know all the facts at the time. When you hear some saucy newfound rumors about the latest superhero blockbusters, you often have to run them with — aware of the fact that these headlines might be complete bogus, but never knowing for certain until you're seated inside the theater and watching the film unfold.

Alas, we should admit upfront that nobody is perfect. Whether we reported on these facts or not, there are always rumors that seem too good to be true, and we find out the hard way that they were total fiction. It would take some time to track down all the false stories out there about the Marvel movies, but there's no denying that some rumors are not only false, but totally weird when you have the benefit of time.

These are just a handful of the movie headlines that amusingly proved to be falsified after Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to a close this summer. Like we said, we could spend quite a few articles breaking down all the stories floating out there that weren't totally true. But we're highlighting these ones in particular to show you how, more often than not, several of these rumors seem silly when you know what really goes down.

Agent Phil Coulson Would Become Vision (The Avengers/ Avengers: Age of Ultron)

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, before he became a significant posthumous motivator for the team in The Avengers, Agent Phil Coulson, played by Clark Gregg, was often the guy in the suit representing S.H.I.E.L.D., giving orders and providing fleeting moments of exposition for the audience. He's a guy who didn't have a whole lot of stake in the action, until Joss Whedon gave Gregg a more well-rounded character who promptly came to a tragic end.

His death wasn't long-lived, however. He came back for the long-running ABC series, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which helped chronicle the events that happened outside of the movies in the MCU. And he also played a supporting role in the prequel Captain Marvel earlier this year. Before the show or this movie was released, however, there were some folks wondering how Marvel might try to bring back the character. Because people believed Agent Coulson wouldn't simply stay dead, and one wild rumor that was floating around the interwebs was the possibility of Phil Coulson turning into Vision.

Granted, this rumor was quickly proved false when Paul Bettany became Vision, which made sense because he was already the voice of J.A.R.V.I.S. since the first Iron Man movie. But that didn't stop the rumor mill from churning, though even Clark Gregg addressed the ridiculousness of this rumor during an interview with ComicBook.com. Nevertheless, for some folks out there, there is a timeline where Coulson walked around with that little yellow dot on his noggin.

Captain America Dies At The End of Civil War (Captain America: Civil War)

It was expected there would be major consequences after the events of Captain America: Civil War. It wasn't clear what exactly was going to go down, but it was clear that something big was going to happen. Things weren't simply going to go back to normal. We didn't know how major these events could end up being, but there was no way that Tony Stark and Steve Rogers ended their spat by simply patching things up and being friends again. The events of this particular blockbuster would spark devastating blows. For some folks, there was a big chance that Captain America would lose his life.

According to the report from Geek.com, the directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, were considering shooting two separate endings for the film, one of which would involve Captain America dying. Granted, this one makes some deal of sense, only because the comic that inspired this tale saw Steve Rogers being assassinated shortly after it concluded. But for a franchise as hugely expansive as the MCU, it'd be an extraordinarily gutsy decision to end things on these terms. The Russos revealed in a Q&A, however, that this much-hyped ending was not only something they didn't shoot; it was barely even considered.

Mar-Vell Being Star Lord's Father (Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2)

One of the biggest lingering mysteries of the original Guardians of the Galaxy was, "Who is Peter Quill/Star-Lord's father?" As we saw at the beginning of the original film, the half-human/half-alien galaxy saver didn't exactly belong on Earth or any real planet of his own. There was the lingering desire, like the character, to know who was the distant patriarch for this character. Alas, before it was revealed to be Ego, the Living Planet, there were quite a few rumors floating out on the web, with one of the biggest rumors to be found was the possibility that Peter Quill could be related to Mar-Vell.

It should be noted that A) Mar-Vell is the correct spelling for this particular character and B) we are obviously not talking about Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson in a later movie. Marvel Comics' Mar-Vell is a Kree supersoldier who was the first person to take on these superpowers in the comics, before an accident passed them over to Carol Danvers. Alas, it did not take too long before writer/director James Gunn denied these rumors. A female version of Mar-Vell would later be played by Annette Bening in the Captain Marvel movie.

Scarlet Witch Is The Villain And Working With Thanos (Avengers: Infinity War)

The Marvel movies typically carry a number of twists and turns, and the company prides itself on not letting spoilers come out in an untimely fashion. It's hard to know for sure what is going to happen in the multiplex, and those surprise and thrills are often what make those movies into giant money-makers. In the heat of speculation for Avengers: Infinity War, there was one rumor floating around which would've been pretty bizarre if it came true: Scarlet Witch being revealed as a villain, then subsequently teaming up with that big meanie we know as Thanos to get the remaining Infinity Stones.

This rumor would certainly require some rigid explanation, since it was apparent that Scarlet Witch was fostering a loving relationship with Vision throughout the movies. Sure, it could've been a show, perhaps some complicated way of acquiring the Mind Stone lodged in Vision's head, but it seems like it would've been more likely that she was the hero rather than the villain. And ultimately, it was apparent after these two Avengers movies that she wasn't secretly hiding any villainous intentions. Unless something happens in WandaVision on Disney+ that makes her question her continued devotion to goodness, we should be able to push this rumor in the false camp pretty swiftly.

J. Jonah Jameson Is A Woman And Played By Veteran Actress Tyne Daly (Spider-Man: Far From Home)

Now, this rumor would've been a pretty interesting one if it were true. Before the big surprise during the end credits of Spider-Man: Far From Home, it was not clear if J. Jonah Jameson would have a place inside the MCU. There was also the question of if J. Jonah Jameson made it into the expansive cinematic universe, who would play the part? It wouldn't be easy to step in the shoes of J.K. Simmons, the actor who made the role entirely his own.

So, what if instead of having another actor try to do a lesser version of his indelible work, they went in a total different direction? It's certainly an interesting idea. But what would that entail? What if J. Jonah was a woman? And what if the role was played by veteran actress, Tony winner and six-time Emmy winner, Tyne Daly? This news was reported by International Business Times, and it is an idea that could've been interesting if it proven to be true, but it was revealed that the actress playing a new version of the character wasn't in the cards for Marvel. Oh well. While this idea would've been a very interesting one worth exploring, it's hard to complain if what we got in the last film.

Jason Biggs Would Play Scorpion (Spider-Man: Homecoming)

Casting rumors can often fly out of any nook and cranny of the Internet. If you simply name an actor and a film, there is likely to be someone out there who believes so-and-so are up for this high-profile part. There are times when outrageous casting reports prove to be true (or, at least, actually in real consideration), and there are many others that are proven false. Nevertheless, this casting report might be one of the weirdest in cinema history.

Apparently, according to WhatCulture, there was a rumor flying around that Jason Biggs was in consideration for the role of Scorpion. While Michael Mando did briefly appear as Mac Gargan, he never became Scorpion proper in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and doesn't appear like Biggs was ever even in talks for the movie. But it does make you imagine what that would be like, and it's admittedly an image that's hard to imagine. Nothing against Jason Biggs; he seems like a nice guy, but this casting would be very weird.

Tony Stark Learns Magic To Defeat Thanos (Avengers: Endgame)

After the cliffhanger at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, there were many people speculating what would happen next. Clearly the three hour movie would be an eventful one, and it would take some extreme measures for our disjointed heroes to restore balance and harmony in its fractured world. And since it was Robert Downey Jr's final time playing the role of Tony Stark, it was expected he would play a big part in the character's swift demise.

But how would that happen? Well, according to one theory reported by Den of Geek, it involved Tony Stark learning magic in order to gain the powers of Doctor Strange and beating Thanos for good. After all, Doctor Strange looked over all the options and he saw how it had to end. It'd make some deal of sense, therefore, that he might've seen another character learning his mystical art to bring everyone back and restoring the natural order of all good things. It wasn't meant to be, however. If Doctor Strange looked at this option, he apparently realized that it ultimately wouldn't work in the long run.

Tony Stark Has To Kill His Parents (Avengers: Endgame)

Like we said earlier, there are a number of ways one could predict things going down for Avengers: Endgame. Certainly, everyone and their brother had their own predictions for what would entail in this climatic fourth Avengers movie. But it's hard to think of a bolder, darker turn-of-events for these heroed than to have Tony Stark kill his own parents in order to sacrifice the people that the iron-clad characters loves the most. Uh ... well ... yeah...

The logic (such as it is) would suggest that Tony Stark would need to get the Soul Stone, and the only way to do so is to obviously sacrifice a person he loves above all others. In this theory, which was also published by Den of Geek, it's posited that this would require Tony to go back in time and kill his parents all before they were killed in the car crash. Frankly, it's a very complicated and hard-to-follow theory that's probably one the filmmakers never considered.

Obviously these are only a handful of the misleading rumors that've been spread about these Marvel movies. News seemingly comes from a variety of sources these days, and it can be hard to figure out what is accurate and otherwise until you are seated in the theater, watching it all unfold. It keeps a lot of people on their toes, including us media folk. But it also creates lots of kooky, hard-to-believe theories, especially in retrospect — as seen here. And we've already got a few theories cooked up for what might happen in Phase 4 and beyond. So, perhaps, this new cycle will just keep on spinning.

Comedy works based on many important factors that, when combined, can turn something funny into something hilarious. One of these factors is the ability to tell a joke with the right timing; knowing when to move on and when not to overstay your welcome.

Though some instances, such as the landmark pie gag in the now 20 year old film American Pie, takes lot of time to get right. In the case of capturing the right moment of Jason Biggs getting romantic with an apple pie, it took six hours to make that particular magic happen.

Jason Biggs recalled that day on set in a recent interview, and he told that story as follows:

Jason Biggs recalls his movie history correctly, as the theatrical and unrated versions of American Pie vary by about 10 seconds in length, and the position of the pie being one of the key distinctions between the two versions.

We apologize to those of you who rushed out to buy the “Unrated” version when it hit shelves, as the only real differences between the film you saw in theaters and on DVD are a couple of more suggestive frames that the MPAA wanted trimmed for an R-rating.

That sort of attention was also present on the set of American Pie, as when Jason Biggs continued telling The New York Times about the infamous scene’s creation, he mentioned the following details involving the film’s first assistant director, J.B. Rogers:

Not only was the pie that Jason Biggs did the deed with on camera not a real bakery product, but according to American Pie writer Adam Herz, that particular gag wasn’t in the original draft of the film’s script. It was later that the joke make its way into the film, giving the movie its’ memorable title, and a rather confusing picture to those who were courted to star in said film.

Fate pretty much took over from that point, as the film would not only become a runaway hit in the same year that brought us Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace (which would have its own moments of infamy) and The Matrix; but would also spawn three theatrical sequels and four direct-to-video spinoffs.

To think that every inch of American Pie’s success is owed to one moment, captured after six hours of work, in which a man, a Styrofoam pie, and destiny collided to make silver screen history. Some moments really do change the world, don’t they?

In the early seasons of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles on Nickelodeon, Orange Is the New Black actor Jason Biggs could be heard voicing lead turtle Leonardo. He was ultimately replaced by Seth Green on the series, and Biggs finally revealed that his offensive tweets resulted in the loss of his TMNT gig. Here's how Biggs described the situation:

Yes, Jason Biggs lost his job on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles when his social media activity was offensive enough to enough people that there were many calls to Nickelodeon to protest his involvement with the show. According Biggs on Dax Shepard's The Armchair Expert podcast, he was aware that Nickelodeon wasn't exactly overjoyed at the negative attention, but that wasn't enough for him to stop the volatile tweets, and he lost that job.

In case you weren't aware of the tweets that got Jason Biggs fired back in 2014 after only two seasons of the show that premiered in 2012, let's just say that there didn't seem to be any topic too controversial for Biggs to fire off a "joke" tweet (or several). Among those topics were a dead Bachelorette contestant, a plane crash, the Pope, politician Paul Ryan's wife, women's basketball, and many more.

All things considered, it's not too shocking that a network full of kids' programming would get calls about somebody employed there who fired off tweets of this nature, especially given how Jason Biggs then had the tendency to double down on his controversial tweets and lash out at people who took issue with what he had to say.

It cost Jason Biggs a job on a beloved show, and Biggs now says that although it "traumatized" him, it "was a really good thing" that helped him realize he needed to make a change in how he handled himself and his career. Biggs also revealed part of what led to his behavior all those years ago:

Jason Biggs has since gotten sober, and he held onto a job on Orange Is the New Black for years before his character was written out. Additionally, he appeared on The Good Wife, spinoff The Good Fight, I Like You Just the Way I Am, among others. Nowadays, Biggs doesn't actually use Twitter all that much and is more active on Instagram.

The MCU’s upcoming Spider-Man reboot already has a good creative team in place with director Jon Watts and writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. As far as casting goes, though, there hasn’t been a lot of revelations. Only Tom Holland as Peter Parker has been confirmed by Marvel, and Marisa Tomei is reportedly playing Aunt May. Now there’s a list making its way around the internet that may hint at actors being looked at, or who are close to signing on for the Web-Slinger’s latest big screen adventure.

Latino Review posted a list of actors that they say are either confirmed, in final negotiations, or in talks to appear in the 2017 Spider-Man film. While many of the names are younger actors that will play Peter’s high school classmates, there are several big names also listed as villains and supporting characters. Keep in mind that this list is not confirmed and should be taken with a major grain of salt.

First up, Titanic star Billy Zane is listed as being in final negotiations to play Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. The Vulture, a villain that has yet to be adapted for live-action. Vulture was planned to be the main villain in Sam Raimi’s scrapped Spider-Man 4, where he would have been played by John Malkovich, and the only hint of the character in the movies have been his trademark wings appearing in The Amazing Spider-Man 2. Zane typically avoids major blockbusters, although he will be seen next year in Zoolander 2. Honestly though, whether this list is legit or not, they should cast Billy Zane. Aside from knowing he can pull off Vulture’s distinct bald head, he already has experience in the world of superheroes playing the eponymous protagonist in 1996’s The Phantom. Oh, and he’s a cool dude.

Also in final negotiations is Orange is the New Black star Jason Biggs, who could play Mac Gargan, a.k.a. The Scorpion. Like Vulture, Scorpion is another classic Spidey foe that hasn’t been seen on the big screen yet. Unlike Zane, it’s hard to picture Biggs as Spider-Man’s intimidating foe with the robotic stinger tail. Biggs does have some experience playing a superhero from his voice work as Leonardo in the current Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series. 

As far as the supporting cast goes, other big names include Hugh Laurie close to being cast as J. Jonah Jameson, Forest Whittaker is talks to play Robbie Robertson, Miranda Cosgrove is being looked at for Betty Brant, and Teen Wolf star Tyler Posey is being considered for Ned Leeds. Robert Downey Jr. is also listed as reprising his Tony Stark/Iron Man role, which was rumored earlier in the year. Here’s the thing with this list: you could certainly imagine some of these famous actors appearing in the film, but to have all of them is a stretch of the imagination, especially since some of them already being committed to other big projects, like Whitaker in Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One.

Marvel and Sony’s joint Spider-Man hits theaters on July 28, 2017, and presumably in the coming months we’ll get more concrete casting info that will either vet or debunk the above names.

With Orange is the New Black, Netflix has one of the most enjoyable and talented ensemble casts currently on the small screen. Unfortunately, the show will be losing another one of its characters by the time Season 3 rolls around, as Jason Biggs will not be back as Larry Bloom.

Rather than having the announcement get filtered through Litchfield Penitentiary’s grapevine, Biggs shared his impending absence with New York Daily News, making it clear that it doesn’t mean he’s out of the show forever.

If Orange is the New Black continues winning over Netflix subscribers and critics, it’s impossible to tell when or if this series will ever end. (I mean, the streaming service gave Hemlock Grove three seasons, and that wasn’t nearly as popular.) So it’s absolutely possible that by the time Season 4 gets here, creator Jenji Kohan and her writers might have another story avenue for Larry to fit into. If we’re being honest here, I just really want to see Sophia put her hair-styling talents to that mop on his head.

Larry’s story was already getting watered down throughout Season 2, so his exodus isn’t all that surprising, really. In Season 1, he was Piper’s backbone outside of Litchfield, helping her and offering emotional support when needed. But she screwed all that up with constant cheating and lying, and he did some lying and manipulating of his own. Their shared arc in Season 2 basically saw them mad at each other, and Larry eventually entered into a relationship with Piper’s best friend Polly. (Who was also doing some cheating.) Maybe Larry’s dad will pop by and offer the audience an update.

Biggs isn’t the only actor who won’t be returning. Pablo “Pornstache” Schreiber won’t be returning to gross anyone out, and Lorraine Toussaint won’t be reprising her role as the vicious Vee, but that’s because she got demolished by the prison van. Luckily, actors like Blair Brown and Mary Steenburgen will be there to bring new characters to this turbulent world.

Biggs will soon be leading Lisa Addario and Joe Syracuse’s comedy Drive, She Said, and he’ll be hitting Broadway for the play The Heidi Chronicles, in which he’ll star opposite Elizabeth Moss. And we can probably expect American Early Retirement Party in the next five years or so.

Orange is the New Black will return to Netflix for its Season 3 premiere this June.

Though details on season two were scant at the PaleyFest 2014 panel for Netflix series Orange is the New Black (even after those crazy new pictures), we did get one detail out of series creator and showrunner Jenji Kohan: more. From cast additions to fleshed-out storylines, you're getting more of everything you loved about season one. "We crafted season one to be its own entity in case there was no season two," explained Kohan. "Season two is more. It's more; all the things, all the details we wanted to know more about." Friday, June 6th — why must you be so very far away?

Now, we were hoping to bring you enough new information to overwhelm you into submission until the series returned. But that Kohan is a tricky sort, and made sure that tips and teases were left backstage. None of the series stars in attendance provided insight into their characters’ upcoming trajectory. Except for newcomer, Lorraine Toussaint. The Friday Night Lights and The Young & The Restless) actress is set to play a Litchfield newcomer named Vee, a self-described “streetwise drug maven who used children” to sell drugs (oooh noooo). Toussaint described her seeming villainess as “a drastic character who interacts intimately” with the rest, leaving “ a lasting impression” on the rest of the inmates.

Outside of that — details were slim! There wasn't even any new footage, which gave most people in the audience a case of the womp-womps, but all was not lost. As is to be expected with a rowdy group that included actors Taylor Schilling (Piper Chapman), Jason Biggs (Larry Bloom), Laura Prepon (Alex Vause), Natasha Lyonne (Nicky Nichols), Kate Mulgrew (Red), Danielle Brooks (Taystee), Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes), Taryn Manning (Pennsatucky), Yael Stone (Lorna Morello), Laverne Cox (Sophia Burset), and Michael Harney (Sam Healy) — things were bound to get a bit silly.

Jason Biggs know you will always remember him as the American Pie guy. He's been the American Pie guy for so long that he's gone from thinking he needed to get away from it, after the first movie became such a huge hit, back to embracing it in American Reunion, which reunites the entire original cast of the first film and brings them back for a slightly oddly timed 13 year reunion. When I spoke to Biggs a few weeks ago, I asked him about that slacker timing for a reunion, the stories swapped on set about their time making American Pie as kids, and of course, how his wife busted him for going to a strip club while on set in Atlanta. Well, it wasn't exactly a strip club. You'll see what he means.

American Reunion opens in theaters this weekend.

Was there an attempt to make this movie in time for the actual 10 year reunion?

Yeah. This idea has been kicked around by various people at various times over the last couple of years, and especially as the actual 10-year mark was approaching, there were people that were trying to put it together. Unfortunately it's tricky. There's a lot of pieces to this puzzle. One of the prerequisites was getting everybody back, so obviously that's an ambitious task. And there was just a lot of stuff. Finally the stars aligned, unfortunately it's just a little bit behind. So we have a little wink at that fact, there's a little mention to it in the film.

Is there a getting-the-band-back-together story about everyone coming in place for this?

For the most part, once John and Hayden came on board, and once they started sitting down with everybody and pitching them their idea for this reunion movie, people were really excited. Their idea was super solid. My favorite thing about this movie is it doesn't just bring every character back, but you feel like all of their appearances are earned. There are a couple of pop-ups that feel more like cameos, but even those feel real. They really wanted to take the tone and energy back to the way it felt for the first movie, and part of that involved giving all of the cast members their due. Once they started pitching this, and especially once everyone read a script, it was pretty easy to get everyone on board. Then it became a matter of logistics and timing and negotiations.

Did it take some convincing for you to come back to this, and believe that it would be anything other than you guys just slinking back to the project because you have nothing else to do. Does that question make sense?

No, believe me, 1000%. For us, this is a very personal thing.It defines me as an actor and in a lot of ways as a person. It's a huge part of all of our lives. And we worked really hard, and it's tough to do a sequel. We might have digressed a little bit with part 2 and 3, and that's why I really love this movie because I really feel like we've gotten back to the energy of the first film. It's tough to do a sequel. When the direct to DVDs started coming out, you start going, "Awww, really?" Looking at it now, they actually I think helped develop a new set of fans. There was basically a new movie every year, albeit on DVD, for a younger generation of kids. Now this American Pie will be the first time that these people will get to see it on a big screen. It might have even helped us for where we are right now.

In the time between the third one coming out and now, did you have to actively distance yourself from it? Did you need that distance to come back to it?

I felt that at first, before, maybe during the first run. When the first movie came out you think, "Do I need to consciously make a decision to do other things?" I have been able to do other things, but they're always going to be a challenge. Even if I didn't do any sequels at all, it will always be a challenge. Maybe it's just because I'm getting older and more philosophical about it and more grateful, I'm truly like, 'You know, I am a lucky son of a bitch." If I only do American Pie films for the rest of my life, I am a lucky dude. I love this character, I love this role, but of course I want to do other things. It will be challenging because of peoples' association with me with the franchise, it always has been. But fuck it, I'm up for the challenge.

When I Googled you, it didn't take long to pull up the TMZ story about you guys going to the Clermont Lounge in Atlanta. I've been to that place, and it's amazing.

You've been? So you understand it's not really a strip club. So here's the thing. I go to a strip club in Atlanta, like a real strip club, and I'm telling my wife about it, and she's like, "You know, while you're down there, do me a favor and don't go to any strip club." And I'm like, "You've got it babe. Absolutely fair request." Maybe a week or two later, we end up at the Clermont Lounge. And this is not a strip club-- you know!

Yeah, there was a live band when I was there.

This is not a strip club. We go, hang out, it's a total shit show this place, but a blast. We're drinking PBRs and shots out of Dixie cups. Next thing you know we're up onstage, people whip out their camera phones, and it's on TMZ that we're dancing on the bar at a stripe club. And I'm like, "Fuck me, my wife just said…" And I've got to call her and do damage control. I had to put out that fire real quick.

It kind of fits in with the narrative of the movie, you guys out there and getting in trouble again in real life just like in the movie.

Totally. And listen, it was a reunion for us. Eddie Kaye Thomas is one of my best friends, so I see him all the time. And Chris Klein I see occasionally. But the rest of the cast I don't see, so it really was a reunion for us. And we get along great when we're together, there's no beef. Even if we're not best friends off set, we're great. And this was the first of the four movies that we shot on location, so when you're on location, you have a tendency to hang out and do stuff. That coupled with the fact that it was a reunion with us, we got into a little trouble, it was fun.

This movie made me really nostalgic for high school, and even though you didn't have high school like most of us, did you get that nostalgia for your past?

It was trippy because I got nostalgic for my own high school experience, but I got nostalgia for my own American Pie experience. You're around these people you had this experience with when you were super young, and it's defined us in so many ways. It's defined me, it's defined my career, defined me as a person in so many ways. And I share it with only a handful of people, and it's this group of people. Especially because everyone was back on this one, we're sitting around telling stories from the first American Pie.

You guys feel like part of my high school experience, and I feel like I can't be the only one who remembers the movie that well. Do you get that a lot from people?

Not only do I get that a lot, but I get that everywhere. We'll be in X country and people will say, "I'm the Sitfler in my group, or I relate." I meet these adults who are like "That was my movie growing up," and you're like, "The fuck? How old am I??"

Yesterday I came across a headline that read something like "Jason Biggs and his wife hired a prostitute," and couldn't come up with any reaction beyond a shrug. Who really wants to know about the private sexual exploits of married people, even if the guy in question is the dude who banged a pie in American Pie? I realize the gossip industry is kind of based around digging up those kinds of details and making people interested in them, but I couldn't even be bothered to click the link.

But as it turns out, this isn't just some gossip item making the rounds after some rumor-- it's a story that got out there after Biggs's wife, Jenny Mollen, wrote up the entire encounter for The Smoking Jacket, a site that's affiliated with Playboy somehow. This article, title "Jenny and Her Husband Get a Whore," pulls absolutely no punches, detailing how the first prostitute they hired bailed on them when they couldn't get enough cash together, and how the second spent time "complimenting me on my blowjob skills" but took off after "He quickly became flaccid and we were left with nothing to do but stare at each other." Yeah, you're really never going to be able to watch an American Pie movie the same way.

Really, I'm all for being open about their sexual desires and practices-- the more people are willing to talk about it, the less of a stigma it carries. But maybe if Mollen's piece had been funnier, or felt like more than simply bragging about how adventurous she and her husband are, this would seem a little less lame. There's breaking down boundaries and encouraging people to be open about their sexualities, and then there's just being an exhibitionist. Even if she weren't married to the American Pie guy, this would still feel like the latter.
