Those who fired up their Netflix subscriptions on March 1 to watch the Actor Awards were given quite the treat, from stunning red carpet fashion to lots of love for Sinners. For some, however, the highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the sweet cast reunion that brought some of the stars of The Office together on stage, and apparently we’ve got Mindy Kaling to thank for that.

On Sunday night, Angela Kinsey, Ellie Kemper, Jenna Fischer and Mindy Kaling took the stage to present the award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series (The Studio took the honors), and according to Actor Awards executive producer Mark Bracco, that never would have happened without Kaling. The EP told Variety:

It honestly speaks to how beloved the show is — by its fans and cast — that Mindy Kaling was able to secure the actresses in less than two hours. It’s fitting, too, that she would have the other Dunder Mifflin ladies there, too, since they were presenting an award for an ensemble.

The actors responsible for portraying Pam Beesly (Fischer), Angela Martin (Kinsey), Kelly Kapoor (Kaling) and Erin Hannon (Kemper) also used their platform to reflect on how much has changed since The Office wrapped in 2013, particularly the long seasons. They said:

• Mindy Kaling: We are women who survived 22-episode seasons.
• Angela Kinsey: There were no short orders.
• Ellie Kemper: You didn’t plan a season around a pregnancy.
• Kaling: Yeah, you just gave birth on camera and named the baby after a grip.
• Jenna Fischer: Then you came back the next week with another episode.

As grueling as the schedule was, the actresses admitted they were lucky to be employed from September to May for each season they appeared on. Their lampooning of one of the best sitcoms of all time continued:

• Fischer: It meant Christmas episodes and Valentine’s episodes and Super Bowl episodes…
• Kaling: And sometimes filler episodes that were kinda bad.

Sure, there are some episodes that didn’t have a chance at making the list of The Office’s best episodes ever, but with more than 200 episodes over nine seasons, there are bound to be a couple of clunkers. Those “filler episodes” didn’t hurt the mockumentary’s legacy, because it was still such a treat for fans to be able to see this reunion. So, our thanks goes out to Mindy Kaling.

Don’t overlook the Parks & Rec star’s Good Hang, even though it may be one of the newest entries on the list. The siblings jump in the deep end with their guests and discuss all there is about life, which includes everything from emojis to their perspective on life.

Fiction lovers and previous PBS Kids unite! The beloved Reading Rainbow star’s pod is a modern-day take on the classic 26-year run show, but now catered toward adults. WTF With Marc Maron - Marc Maron

The rough around the edges comedian and actor’s podcast is one of the most well-known celebrity series. As a blueprint of public figures' iterations to come, Maron got started in 2009 after his radio show got canned. In the decade-plus he’s been at it, he hosted writers, directors, comedians, actors and many more in the typical style that is commonplace today. But, heads up, he just announced his show will end this fall, so don’t miss out!

Podcrushed - Penn Badgley, Nava Kavelin, Sophie Ansari

The Gossip Girl alum’s shared show isn’t a far cry from the hit teen series fodder. They’ve just spun the clock a little further back to schoolyard drama and middle school crushes. While I haven’t actually listened to the singer and actress’ show, it may be the hidden gem on the list. Heading into her third season, she continues to host a slew of knockout guests, and her collection of candid conversations runs the gamut of interesting fare. Everything from psychedelics to running Apple.

Getting Better With Jonathan Van Ness - Jonathan Van Ness

Ever since being introduced as the current generation’s hair & grooming lead on Queer Eye, JVN has been stealing the show as they help build up others. By natural curiosity and the drive to learn, the Getting Better podcast helps them grow and build spaces to learn even more. The weekly episodic content comes in all shapes and sizes–from finance lessons to discourse on culture, they’ve got it covered.

Why Won’t You Date Me? - Nicole Byer

The Nailed It! host is also a pro-podcaster. If you go looking for Byer’s love and relationship pod, you may find quite a slew aside from the aforementioned one (Best Friends!, 90 Day Bae and Newcomers). The Bald And The Beautiful - Trixie Mattel And Katya Zamolodchikova

One of RuPaul’s Drag Race’s biggest winners, Trixie and ride or die fellow queen, Katya, have taken the world by storm together. After meeting on season 7, they quickly went on their way to make creative projects together, starting with their viral cult followed series, UNHhhh, to their aptly titled pod. It’s a lot of the same banter, just funneled into discussing pop culture and Tinseltown-leaning topics.

Landing a job on one of Peak TV’s most popular comedies seems like it’d be an enviable gig no matter what the details were. And while that is likely the case more often than not, horror stories within the industry do indeed exist, with The Office alum Lindsey Broad non-enjoying a first-person experience with just how despicable fandoms can get where controversial characters are involved.

First appearing in what’s arguably The Office’s worst cycle, Season 8, Broad arrived in the seventh episode as temp worker Cathy Simms, who landed at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton branch to help fill in as Pam transitioned into her maternity leave. Despite her seemingly normal behavior early on, it’s soon clear that Cathy doesn’t really mesh well with others, but harbors romantic feelings for Jim, eventually culminating in her brazen attempts to sleep with him in “After Hours.”

Viewed both at the time and in the intervening years as an awkward and ill-conceived attempt to inject drama into Jim and Pam’s picture-perfect relationship timeline, Cathy’s arc was cut short soon after, but that was only the beginning of Lindsey Broad’s years of dealing with obsessive and wildly immature Office fans who spew hateful messages online, even during her attempts to mourn her dead dog. Speaking with Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey on their beloved podcast Office Ladies, Broad shared:

We all know the Internet is gonna Internet, regardless of whether there's justification for it or not. But to angrily target an F-bomb at someone mourning a dog's death due to a fictional character they did not create, but only portrayed across roughly 20-25 total minutes of screentime? That's abysmal behavior for anyone to have to deal with.

Broad previously addressed fans’ harsh treatment at a point when the online comments seemed to be more prevalent, when the show was still streaming on Netflix ahead of shifting to Peacock. And despite multiple years going by, it's still kind of shocking to hear that she's dealt with such unfiltered negativity online for such a relatively minor role in a largely forgettable season. Maybe if any of her appearances happened in the best Office episodes of all time, but that's not the case.

Thankfully, it appears as if Lindsey Broad's experiences with sour viewers has been limited to online reactions, and her daily life isn't plagued by such interactions. But part of that is because she purposefully doesn't advertise her past career heights. As she put it:

It appears as if Broad has been able to curb disturbing online reactions by limiting her social media activity, since that more easily allowed Office fans to track her down line. But the actress is more welcoming to having real-world dialogues with fans, since the very act of recognizing her in public is a sign that they're a true fan and not just a disgruntled Pam and Jen stan. In her words:

The Office's popularity reached the point just this year in 2025 where a formerly closed Chili's in Scranton, Pennsylvania reopened specifically to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the spinoff debuting on NBC. So I guess it shouldn't be surprising to hear that certain pockets of the fandom chose to go all scorched-earth anytime an obstacle (human or otherwise) got in the way of Jim and Pam's happiness. But it's been 13 years since Cathy came and went, so maybe those feelings can be put to rest.

As one of the best sitcoms of all time, The Office changed much of what modern comedy TV looks like today. The American version was, of course, adapted from the U.K. version of the same name, but took on a life all its own. Steve Carell held the center point of the ensemble cast as Michael Scott, the wildly wacky but good-hearted boss who occasionally did his job well. Carrell departed after Season 7 and ultimately returned for the series finale. However, the actor was initially hesitant to do so and had some valid reasons for that.

With more than a decade now sitting between the present day and the hit NBC show’s finale in 2013, two of its alums -- Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly) and Angela Kinsey (Angela Martin/Martin-Lipton/Schrute) -- started a rewatch podcast, in case you missed it. The Office Ladies recently covered the finale of the mockumentary sitcom, during which it was explained that Steve Carell wasn’t completely into the idea of reprising Michael. Fischer explained that her former co-star's thinking stemmed from storytelling:

The 40-Year-Old Virgin star’s reasoning is certainly logical and just makes me love him (and Michael Scott) even more. He was very adamant about making sure that his ex-castmates were able to say a proper goodbye to the show like he was able to, and that’s incredibly cool. Not all A-listers would offer the same reasoning, so kudos to the Foxcatcher star for being so considerate.

So the remaining question you probably have is: what changed Steve Carell's mind? Well, Jenna Fischer, who recently disclosed her breast cancer diagnosis, shared that series creator Greg Daniels, developed the finale in a way that would make it logical for Michael Scott to appear:

The podcasting duo also mentioned that the actor's name wasn’t listed in the opening credits so it was a big surprise to fans. It definitely does make sense that Michael would be there for Dwight's big day, and Angela Kinsey agreed with that assessment as well:

I have to say that in the end, it was wonderful to see Steve Carell's Michael Scott not only return for the finale but be added in a way that made sense. Carell and co. truly were top-notch on the beloved NBC comedy. I think that’s what made the show as watchable as it was, that and the Office cast -- who went on to other movies and shows -- just worked together so well.

It's been over a decade since one of the best sitcoms of all time, The Office, ended its successful nine-season run. However, it doesn’t mean the Dunder Mifflin crew doesn’t pull together like a family when support is most needed. Jenna Fischer, who's known for playing receptionist-turned-saleswoman Pam Beesly, just revealed her breast cancer diagnosis. With that, she's received overwhelming support from Office castmates Mindy Kaling and Angela Kinsey as well as other stars.

Jenna Fischer revealed on her Instagram that she was diagnosed with breast cancer last December. The actress laid out the entire situation in a truly candid post. Reading the beloved actress’ story is enough to make a person emotional. There are a lot of takeaways that come from the Emmy nominee's vulnerable messages, chief among them being the importance of women getting breast cancer screenings. Like the Hall Pass star said, she was very fortunate for to get tested when her cancer was in stage one or her diagnosis could have become a lot worse with time.

Additionally, it's wonderful to hear about the massive amount of support the Blades of Glory actress received amid her health struggles. It signifies that tragedy presents the opportunity for people to show all of the love they can muster for someone who could really use it. Jenna Fischer couldn’t finish her post without thanking her husband Lee Kirk, who she fell in love with when he directed her in The Giant Mechanical Man, for being present every step of the way. I'd say she’s very lucky to have a dedicated spouse like him by her side.

Most would probably agree that it's wonderful to have friends. It’s so meaningful to see stars like Tiffani Thiessen, Candace Cameron Bure and Jennifer Garner -- who are all breast cancer awareness advocates -- showing support. Also, this year, Olivia Munn confirmed her own breast cancer diagnosis , so she's had her own experiences. There's a lot of power in having a community, and that seems to be what the Promotion star possesses.

Even though the cast of The Office has been on numerous TV shows and movies since the final episode aired in 2013, they still have Office reunion moments. Whether it’s getting together for drinks, sharing selfies, attending a virtual wedding or reuniting on SNL for Steve Carell, the love still seems to be there.

In fact, Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey have their own podcast, Office Ladies, where they reveal juicy stories about their time on the NBC sitcom. They've discussed various topics like why the show ended with Season 9 and the emotional letter co-star John Krasinski left in the teapot for Fischer to read. Even though Steve Carell was known as a comedic actor before he led The Office cast as the sometimes good at his job Michael Scott, it was definitely his role on the comedy that propelled him to new heights and led to opportunities for him to branch out. One such case of that was his creepy starring turn in the drama Foxcatcher, an acclaimed biographical sports thriller that saw him nominated for a Best Actor Oscar in 2015.

Inside Out

It seems that 2015 was a good year for The Office cast, as this was when the Pixar mega-hit Inside Out was released, starring the voice of Phyllis Smith as Sadness. The animated film, of course, followed the personified emotions of a young girl going through a tough time, and was popular enough to get a sequel in 2024.

Away We Go

Of all The Office characters, it’s possible that John Krasinski’s Jim Halpert is the most beloved, and the actor rode that wave into 2009’s romantic road trip film Away We Go. The comedy-drama is about a couple in their early 30s trying to decide where to settle before the birth of their first child, and really should be sought out if you haven’t seen it yet.

I know what you’re thinking, What about Pam? Well, Jenna Fischer’s Pam Beesly Halpert was, many think, the heart of the sitcom, and the actress became the heart of the ice-skating comedy Blades of Glory in 2007.

The Mindy Project

While Kelly Kapoor is one of the most memorably ridiculous staffers at Dunder Mifflin, the same can’t (totally) be said for Mindy Kaling’s OB/GYN, Mindy Lahiri, in The Mindy Project. The doctor may be analytical, friendly and good at her job, but she’s also blunt and shallow, making her fun to watch.

Bridesmaids

Because of the number of hilarious performances from the ensemble cast of the one-liner-filled comedy, Bridesmaids, you might have forgotten that Ellie Kemper (that’s receptionist Erin Hannon to you) starred in the somewhat raunchy 2011 hit as Becca, a newlywed member of the bridal party who loses some of her naivete because of the antics of the assembled group.

Parks And Recreation

Did you forget about Karen Filippelli? You know, Jim’s girlfriend who quickly realized that he was in love with Pam once they were all working together? Well, Rashida Jones was a much bigger part of Parks and Recreation, where her nurse, Anne Perkins, was a (mostly) reasonable member of the wacky ensemble.

Super

There probably aren’t a lot of us who watched the NBC workplace sitcom and envisioned any of the characters as superheroes, which is part of the point to Dwight Schrute actor Rainn Wilson taking on his reading role in Super. The dark comedy follows a short order cook who becomes a masked vigilante, and should be experienced at least once.

The Hangover

A hit comedy you’ve almost definitely seen at least once is 2009’s The Hangover, starring Ed Helms, a.k.a. Andy Bernard. Actually, no one would be surprised if you’ve seen this movie plus its two sequels multiple times.

This Is The End

Apocalyptic horror comedies don’t come around all that often, and when they do they’re rarely as insane as This Is The End. The 2013 film stars a number of notable famous folks playing versions of themselves who try to survive the Biblical event, including Darryl Philbin’s portrayer, Craig Robinson.

Leatherheads

John Krasinski also lent his talents to the George Clooney-directed, 1925-set football comedy, Leatherheads. It might not have been a big hit, but it definitely let fans see more of Krasinski’s big-screen potential early on.

Fresh Off The Boat

It hasn’t been uncommon for some of the cast to pop up on other popular shows, and that’s what we saw with Angela Kinsey (yup, she played Dwight’s eventual boo Angela) when it came to the ABC family comedy Fresh Off the Boat. Kinsey guest starred in a handful of episodes across Seasons 4 and 5 as Amy Chestnut, a nemesis for Jessica Huang.

The Lost City

It’s a bit of a wonder that Oscar managed to continue working at Dunder Mifflin Scranton, considering how professional and free of foolishness he was. But, his portrayer, Oscar Nuñez, did play an important oddball in 2022’s The Lost City, and to hilarious effect.

The Morning Show

Steve Carell continued to take on more dramatic roles after leaving The Office behind, and he kept his streak going by playing the disgraced former co-host for the first two seasons of the titular show that’s the focus of this Apple TV+ series.

The Giant Mechanical Man

While none of our beloved Office cast members have led what will come to be known as one of the best romantic comedies of all time just yet, Jenna Fischer did star in a lovely little rom-com called The Giant Mechanical Man, where she plays a struggling zoo worker who falls for a financially strapped street performer.

Family Switch

Sometimes you just need a good, fun family movie, and Ed Helms helped give us one with Family Switch. The movie, which you can watch with your Netflix subscription, gets its Freaky Friday on by having two parents (and the family dog) swap bodies with their two teens (and the baby of the family).

Galaxy Quest

Unfortunately, sci-fi and comedy simply don’t overlap that much, because when they do we end up with wondrous movies like Galaxy Quest. This now classic features Rainn Wilson as one of the decent, octopus-like Thermians, who juuuuust manage to pose as human.

Gone Baby Gone

Though she’d been a working actor for many years, most people really got to know about Amy Ryan because of her Oscar-nominated role in 2007’s Gone Baby Gone as the mother of a missing girl; a role that was quite different from her sweet Holly Flax.

The Bold Type

It’s a bad idea to get involved with your boss; that is, if your boss is like the domineering Jan Levinson, as played by Melora Hardin. However, if your boss is tough but fair and an all-around good human like The Bold Type’s Jacqueline Carlyle, then maybe things won’t go as badly for you as they did for Michael.

Silicon Valley

While Zach Woods brought even more weirdness to The Office as Gabe Woods for Seasons 6-9, he was more of a secure and stabilizing presence for the tech team on HBO’s comedy, Silicon Valley.

Ocean’s Eight

The Mindy Project hasn’t been the only way to watch Mindy Kaling outside of Scranton. In 2018 she branched out by starring as jeweler Amita in the crime comedy Ocean’s Eight, as one of the so-named group with a plan for a big jewelry heist.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

Naive, nice and endlessly hopeful seems to be a specialty of Ellie Kemper. She added another such character to the one from Bridesmaids and The Office when she took on the role of former underground (literally) doomsday cult member Kimmy Schmidt as she attempted to make a life for herself in New York City after being rescued. You can watch her in all four seasons and one interactive movie on one of the best streaming services, Netflix.

The Blacklist

Anyone who enjoyed James Spader as the intimidating and mysterious Robert California, odd though he was, would probably have no problem seeing the actor as, well…mysterious, intimidating and charming criminal mastermind/FBI informant/probable sociopath, Raymond “Red” Reddington for 10 seasons of the NBC drama, The Blacklist, which wrapped its long run in 2023.

The Wire

The Wire is an amazing drama that is one of the TV shows that actually ended well, and it also made Idris Elba a household name because of his long-running role as smooth criminal Stringer Bell. Were it not for this series, we might not have gotten him as Michael’s strict (and eventually antagonistic) boss who had quite an effect on the ladies, Charles Miner. FYI, you can also see Amy Ryan in this show, beginning in Season 2.

Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness

Few fans of our favorite mockumentary could have guessed that there would be a time when superhero fans around the world would call for John Krasinski (he of the flippy Jim haircut and consistent bemused looks to the camera) to portray Marvel icon Mister Fantastic, a.k.a. Reed Richards. Well, Disney finally gave them their wish in a wildly short-lived fashion when he appeared as a version of the Fantastic Four leader in 2022’s multiverse-hopping Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness.

Six Feet Under

Yet another 2000s HBO drama has delivered another way to see someone from The Office. One of the rare family shows that’s about death in a real way, Six Feet Under helped Rainn Wilson show the world a happier, though still incredibly peculiar, character in mortuary intern Arthur Martin during Season 3.

Hot Tub Time Machine

One of the stranger time travel movies in recent memory can easily be said to be Hot Tub Time Machine, where our time travelers do, indeed, trip through time via an energy drink-powered hot tub. In both this classic comedy and its sequel, you can watch Craig Robinson experience the many benefits and dangers of time travel.

The Daily Show

A number of correspondents have passed by the news desk on Comedy Central’s politically aware pop culture program, The Daily Show. From 2002-2006, Ed Helms lent his talents to segments like Digital Watch, We Love Showbiz and This Week in God. The added bonus for you? This series launched Steve Carell’s early career, as he was also a correspondent from 1999 through 2005, and has returned several times since then as a guest.

Inglourious Basterds

We’ve already come upon some surprising portrayals from our wild and wacky Office workers, and fans were treated to another one with the release of Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-nominated Inglourious Basterds in 2009. While B.J. Novak’s Smithson "Little Man" Utivich was simply a loyal soldier and accomplished smart-alek, the environment he thrived in was much more stressful than anything Ryan could have survived.

Remember that dutiful movie and TV viewers can easily spot one of the Scranton denizens as they pop up in any number of other well-known projects. However, when Creed Bratton (yes, that Creed) appeared in a Season 1 episode of Amazon Prime’s Upload, he probably delivered the briefest, most hilariously gruesome guest star spot of them all.

Doctor Who

If there’s any one show in the history of TV shows that continues to provide us with a near-endless stream of cameos and guest starring roles from up-and-comers, it would be Doctor Who and its 60-year, 40-season history. And, we can actually watch a whole season (the fourth modern one) plus six specials of Catherine Tate (Nellie Bertram, Seasons 7-9) as The Doctor’s companion, Donna Noble.

The White Lotus

Last but not least, we take you to The White Lotus. This Emmy-winning HBO (Should we all just stick with HBO if we want to see our Office mates?) satire has already given us innumerable memorable characters and performances, and Season 1 saw Jake Lacy (who played Pete “New Jim” Miller in Season 9) take on the role of the easily unlikable, arrogant rich guy Shane Patton.

As you can see, The Office cast has thrived outside of the comedy that made so many of them famous!

The Office may have ended ten years ago, but there’s no denying the impact it still has on the zeitgeist. As new folks find and stream the NBC comedy and others continue to watch it over and over again, the love for the show and its cast remains strong and passionate. So, even though it’s been a decade, fans still walk up to the Jim actor, John Krasinski, and his wife Emily Blunt all the time, and tell them they wish he was with Pam. Luckily, the Oppenheimer star has a great sense of humor about it all as she humorously revealed that this still happens. 

Listen, Jim and Pam’s relationship is obviously one of the most iconic on television, and the couple is responsible for some of the most heartwarming moments on The Office. However, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski also have a lovely relationship, and they are a real-life couple. Speaking about the legacy of the NBC comedy and how it occasionally impacts how people see her marriage, The Devil Wears Prada star hilariously told Variety:

While Krasinski and Blunt are a beloved couple, who has also played a couple in A Quiet Place, I guess for some folks, Jim and Pam are their endgame, in both the worlds of fact and fiction. However, the two actors are able to get a good laugh out of it, as the Pain Hustlers star said when this happens, she’ll simply respond with a “she’s not here,” which is hilarious.

Considering this couple’s shared sense of humor, and their ability to poke fun at each other publicly, this response isn’t surprising. Along with seeing the endearing way John Krasinski looks at Emily Blunt, the two also joke with each other, like the time the actress shared her funny take on the Jim actor possibly being named Sexiest Man Alive last year. Like Jim and Pam, they are an adorable pair.

The actors really do have a lovely and hilarious relationship. They’ve been able to work together so well, Blunt said working on A Quiet Place 2 was so special, for example. They also seem to have a very healthy and heartfelt real-life relationship as they have been together since 2008. Overall, they seem hilariously wholesome, and that wholeheartedly includes how they react when fans tell them they wish Emily Blunt was actually Pam Beesley.

In 2004 we met the Mean Girls and fell in love with them, despite the Plastics being mean, for lack of a better term. Then in 2017, that movie premiered as a musical on Broadway. Now, it’s coming back to the screen in its musical form, and with an (almost) entirely new cast. From Broadway talent to Disney princesses, the Mean Girls has cast is diverse and talented, plus, the film also features some legendary comedy actors joining the young performers. So, with the out on the 2024 movie schedule, let’s discuss this crew Tina Fey and co. have put together for the latest version of the early ‘00s classic. 

Angourie Rice 

Angourie Rice will be taking on the lead role in the Mean Girls musical, as Cady Heron, who was played by Lindsay Lohan in the movie and originated by Erika Henningsen on Broadway. 

While Rice is only 22, she’s been in a wide range of projects, including the 2023 TV schedule’s The Last Thing He Told Me. You also might recognize her if you’ve seen the Marvel movies in order, as she played Betty Brant in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy. Along with these projects, she also starred alongside the Emmy-winning cast of Mare of Easttown. 

Reneé Rapp

Reneé Rapp is the only person in the cast who will be reprising a role from the Broadway musical. She belted her heart out on stage as Regina George in 2018, following in the footsteps of Taylor Louderman. Now, she’ll be taking on the role of the queen of the Plastics again, playing the same character originated on screen by Rachel McAdams. 

On screen Rapp is best known for her role in the Sex Lives of College Girls cast, where she plays Leighton Murray. Along with her work on Broadway and for HBO, she’s also a musician and has released multiple songs and an album, including her viral hit “Too Well.” 

Auli'i Cravalho 

Auli'i Cravalho has some big shoes to fill as she’s been cast as Janis Ian, Cady’s friend who tries to take down the Plastics. Janis has some massive songs in the musical, see “I’d Rather Be Me,” and they were sung brilliantly by Barrett Wilbert Weed, who originated the role on Broadway. 

Cravalho will also be following up Lizzy Caplan’s performance in the movie, and, she’s more than qualified to do it. You’ll likely recognize this young actress as the voice of Moana in Moana. She made a splash with that movie, and has since gone on to work on other projects, like Amazon Prime’s The Power, where she plays an angsty teenager with big power and an attitude kind of like Janis’.

Jaquel Spivey 

Playing Janis' iconic BFF and the mastermind behind the line “You go Glen Coco,” will be Jaquel Spivey. He will be following in the footsteps of Daniel Franzese (movie) and Grey Henson (Broadway) who played the hilarious Damien in their respective versions of Mean Girls. 

Jaquel Spivey is relatively new on the scene, however, he made a big impact early as he starred in the Pulitzer Prize and Tony-winning musical A Strange Loop as the lead, Usher. While he’s certainly made a name for himself on stage, the Mean Girls movie will be his first feature film. 

Bebe Wood 

Gretchen Wieners is the inventor of “fetch,” the queen of gossip, and a self-proclaimed “disco ball,” and in this musical adaptation, she will be played by Bebe Wood, per Deadline. Gretchen was originated by Lacey Chabert in the movie, and Ashley Park on Broadway, so this young actress is joining an iconic line of performers to take on Regina George’s right-hand woman.

Bebe Wood is best known for her role as Lake in the Hulu series Love Victor. She’s also known for her voice work in the Trollhunters franchise. 

Avantika  

Her “name is Karen,” and she “may not be smart,” but boy is she funny. In the movie, Karen is played brilliantly by Amanda Seyfried, and and on Broadway, Kate Rockwell shows off her range and comedic chops as the character. Avantika will be the next actress stepping into the shoes of Karen, according to Deadline, the woman who cares a lot about her Halloween costume, and has “ESPN or something.” 

Avantika has actually starred alongside some of her Mean Girls castmates in various projects. Both she and Angourie Rice were in the cast of Rebel Wilson’s Senior Year, and she guest starred in an episode of Sex Lives of College Girls with Reneé Rapp. She’s also starred in the TV movie Spin.

Christopher Briney 

He’s the reason October 3 is Cady Heron’s favorite day, and he's the coolest boy in school, he’s Aaron Samuels. Played by Jonathan Bennett in the movie and Kyle Selig on stage, Christopher Briney is now set to play the North Shore High School heartthrob, according to Deadline.

Considering Briney plays many girls' YA crush Conrad in the cast of The Summer I Turned Pretty, this seems like a great role for the young actor. Along with the hit Amazon Prime show, Briney has also appeared in the movie Daliland and a few shorts, Mean Girls will be his first major motion picture.

Tina Fey 

One of the two people reprising their roles from the original Mean Girls movie will be Tina Fey. While Kerry Butler took a turn as the math teacher (among other characters) in the musical, the writer of both the movie, the musical’s book and this musical movie will be returning as Mrs. Norbury, as she explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers. 

While Tina Fey has some magnificent projects, like 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, one of her most iconic movies is Mean Girls. 

Tim Meadows

The other actor reprising their role from the original movie, as Fey announced on Meyers’ show, will be Tim Meadows as Principal Duvall. While North Shore High’s principal was played by Rick Younger in the musical, and this SNL vet will be coming back as the students’ principal for the movie musical.

Busy Philipps 

In the musical movie for Mean Girls, Busy Philipps will be taking on the role of Mrs. George, per Deadline. Following in the footsteps of Amy Poehler in the movie, and Kerry Butler on Broadway, Philipps will play the iconic track suit-wearing mother of Regina George. 

Recently Philipps has been playing Summer Dutkowsky in the cast of Girls5eva, which Tina Fey is an executive producer for. She’s also starred in movies including White Chicks, Made of Honor and He’s Just Not That Into You. 

Jenna Fischer

The other mother of this movie, Cady’s mom Ms. Heron, will be played by Jenna Fischer, Deadline reported. Our protagonist’s mom was played by SNL alum Ana Gasteyer in the first movie, and Kerry Butler also played her on Broadway, along with Mrs. George and Ms. Norbury. Now, Fischer will step into the role. 

You likely know Jenna Fischer from her time as part of The Office cast, where she played Pam. Since then she has starred in a few TV shows here and there, including Splitting Up Together, and now she co-hosts The Office re-watch podcast, Office Ladies, with Angela Kinsey. 

Jon Hamm 

Joining the cast in a small, yet hilarious role, will be Jon Hamm, as he’s set to play Coach Carr, per THR. The coach was played by Dwayne Hill in the movie, and he actually isn’t in the stage version, so it will be fun to see how the coach gets worked back into the story.

Hamm, who is best known for leading the Mad Men cast and being part of the Top Gun: Maverick ensemble, is a super funny dude, and I’d imagine he’ll bring the laughs, just like he did in Bridesmaids and 30 Rock. 

Overall, the cast of the Mean Girls musical is stacked. Filled with up-and-coming talent as well as beloved actors from Fey’s comedy sphere, we’re definitely in for a treat with this movie-turned musical-turned movie musical.  

The Office may have ended nearly a decade ago, but the cast has been spilling on-set tea ever since. While there have been some great stories over the years, the best have arguably come from the behind-the-scenes memoir The Office BFFs: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey. In the book, the series alums revealed the time they were almost killed filming the Season 9 episode “Work Bus” with director Bryan Cranston. Now, Cranston has finally responded, joking about trying to kill the cast -- until Fischer saved the day.

While telling the story, the two co-stars and real-life BFFs dubbed the episode “Death Bus” due to all the chaos that ensued during filming. All in all, what they described sounded like a true near-death experience. After they broke down what happened, the Breaking Bad alum finally got the chance to tell his side on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Upon hearing Colbert’s reference to the title, he stated that their recount of the events was “unfair.” Though the six-time Emmy winner jokingly admitted to wanting to kill The Office cast before Fischer spoke up about smelling exhaust fumes:

So this version of the story sounds way more dire than how Jenna Fischer and Angela  Kinsey described it. Needless to say, having carbon monoxide fill a cabin containing the cast and crew would've been disastrous. Thankfully, the Office alum's keen sense of smell kicked in and was able to prevent anyone from getting monoxide poisoning. The Walter White actor went on to joke, though, that he went ahead and got another whiff to ensure that things were indeed as they seemed:

It's hard to disagree that such an episode would've been far different and, more tragic, than the the actual series finale, which ultimately closed out the fan-favorite series' ninth season. I think it's fair to assume that the entire cast is grateful to Jenna Fischer for realizing what was up.

In the episode, the employees of Dunder Mifflin move their operations to a bus after their usual workspace is shut down by landlord Dwight. During the same interview, Bryan Cranston explained how he and his team planned to make the bus scenes work and in the process, revealed how the dangerous situation came to be:

I'm getting edgy just thinking about what could've gone wrong. I mean, I've heard of suffering for your art but, had things gone south, that would've been taking it a little too far. At the end of the day, I'm glad Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey, Bryan Cranston and their collaborators lived to tell the tale.

The Office is the source of some of television's funniest and most outrageous moments, and apparently, the Dunder Mifflin chaos wasn't just on screen. According to The Office alums Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, one episode almost cost the entire cast their lives. The two actresses reminisced about what happened while filming an episode with Breaking Bad’s Bryan Cranston.

The BFFs recalled the harrowing on-set moment in their behind-the-scenes book The Office BFFs: Tales of The Office from Two Best Friends Who Were There (via Mashable). The on-set crisis occurred while shooting the Season 9 episode “Work Bus,” which Cranston was directing. The episode was centered on a trick that Jim played on Dwight backfiring, leading the overzealous manager to buy a mobile office. Things took a more bizarre turn when Jim convinced Andy to take the Dunder Mifflin staff for pie at Laverne's Pies Tires Fixed Also. Of course, the irony wasn’t lost on the stars as Kinsey understood it was Walter White filming the mobile Office episode, similar to his mobile meth van in the Emmy-winning drama.

But even diehard Office fans may have had no idea of the behind-the-scenes chaos. Fischer revealed that “the mobile office” was packed with the cast and crew along with a cavalcade of office items, including desks, a watercooler, and a big-screen television. The overwhelming situation was compounded when the producers felt The Office’s Rainn Wilson’s fake steering wasn’t “authentic” enough for driving on a curvy road. The Splitting Up Together actress recalled their solution was to detach the vehicle from its rig and have a stunt driver at the steering wheel. That’s when things changed, according to the actress.

Upon taking off on the road, things went from zero to 100. Kinsey relived the dangerous and disordered shoot as she broke down what happened within the vehicle.

If the Deliciousness host’s account wasn’t scary enough, Fischer’s recount sounded even more horrific. The over-the-top driving led to the actress being pinned by co-star Leslie David Baker. She recalled co-star Phyllis Smith was posted up against a wall by multiple objects, including John Krasinski. Kinsey was immune from being trapped as she recalled co-stars Ellie Kemper and Jake Lacy ramping into her. She mentioned cast members falling on the floor and being trapped under multiple items.

Thankfully, the cast survived the erratic driving incident. After a much-needed lunch break, they got back on the bus again. But things only got worse as Fischer recalled the cast almost dying from another threat.

Upon the cast and crew leaving the vehicle, It was revealed the AC unit’s intake hose and shuttle’s exhaust pipe were next to each other. This led to the hose blowing car exhaust through the sunroof. Fischer put the incident into perspective by saying the cast was being poisoned “not so slowly.”

But this overwhelming dangerous day started on the wrong foot, according to Kinsey. She remembered what it was like being on the bus on an extremely muggy day.

At the end of the shoot, Kinsey mentioned Cranston being “so calm and kind” despite the disorderly day. She even hugged the Oscar nominee. Sharing moments like this seemingly brought the cast together as they have reunited multiple times since the show ended. Hopefully, the cast will officially come back together for a reunion special or new episode someday, as Krasinski was down for it. When it comes to the iconic sitcoms of the late 1990s and early 2000s, one that always pops into my mind is That ‘70s Show, a sitcom featuring a group of teenagers living in the 1970s and learning to grow up in this crazy decade. There's a new spinoff, That ‘90s Show, in production, so it’s only fair that we revisit this great comedy. 

With eight seasons under its belt, there were plenty of random guest stars on That '70s Show, from eventual big-time movie stars to TV legends, none of whom were that big at the time, and you might have forgotten they even appeared on the show. If you’re looking to see who guest starred on the series, here are eight actors that you might have forgotten about. 

Dwyane Johnson - Rocky Johnson

Now, Dwayne Johnson is a household name. He’s popular on social media, is a box-office and streaming magnet, and has a hilarious friendship with Kevin Hart. Everyone probably knows about this wrestler-turned-movie star nowadays, as Johnson's starred in some amazing movies and explored multiple different business ventures, but there was a time where Dwayne Johnson was mostly just known as The Rock in the WWE. 

One of his first roles ever was actually portraying his father, Rocky Johnson, another big-time wrestler, during the That ‘70s Show episode, “That Wrestling Show,” in Season 1. It’s always fun to look back on this episode and think of how far he has come as an actor. 

The Sprouse Twins - Bobby And Billy

Before Dylan and Cole Sprouse became huge from their mega-popular Disney Channel show, The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, they had a small appearance on That ‘70s Show, in the episode, “Eric’s Depression,” during Season 4, where they are featured in some hilarious scenes alongside Kelso in the Funland amusement park. 

I’m sure at this point, you’ve heard of the Sprouse twins. As popular as the Olsen twins, in my opinion, both Dylan and Cole Sprouse have gone on to do many things in the spotlight. Cole Sprouse became even bigger by joining the Riverdale cast and has played Jughead Jones for six seasons now (and counting). Dylan Sprouse has starred in several movies like After We Collided and The Curse of Turandot. 

As someone who grew up watching both of them on television, I loved watching this episode with them as little kids. It’s so cool to remember how much they’ve done since then. 

Yvette Nicole Brown - Sgt. Davis

You know, I have seen Yvette Nicole Brown everywhere on TV, in so many different shows, from the Nickelodeon series, Drake and Josh, the cast of Community, to her several guest appearances on The Talking Dead as a Walking Dead superfan. However, when she was first starting out on TV, she had a guest role in That ‘70s Show, during the episode, “You’re My Best Friend” in Season 8. 

It’s so funny to re-watch her as Sgt. Davis, as even then you can clearly see her personality shine through on the screen for the small time she’s there. I always love watching her act. 

Jenna Fischer - Stacy Wanamaker 

Before she became one-half of the most famous couple on The Office as Pam Beesley, Jenna Fischer had a guest role on That ‘70s Show, where she played Stacy Wanamaker in the episode, “Don’t Lie to Me,” during Season 7. 

Her character owned a bridal store and was the complete opposite of the sweetheart that Pam Beesley is - a snob who warns Jackie that she should find someone to marry before her ‘expiration date.’ Just shows how great of an actress Jenna Fischer is. 

Amy Adams - Kat Peterson

I don’t think I’m alone in saying that Amy Adams was a huge part of my childhood, starring in films like Enchanted (which is getting a sequel soon) and The Muppet Movie, while later taking on more mature work in films like Arrival and shows such as Sharp Objects. 

But, before her big break, she had a guest role on That ‘70s Show in the Season 2 episode, “Burning Down the House,” portraying Kat Peterson, one of the most popular girls at school, whom Jackie wants to impress. 

Fun fact - this was actually Amy Adams’ first-ever television role. It’s insane to remember how much she has accomplished as an actress since this first appearance. 

Rachel Bilson - Christy

While many probably know Rachel Bilson from her famous role as Summer Roberts as part of The O.C. cast, when she was first beginning that role, she had a guest-spot on That ‘70s Show. She portrayed Christy, a guest at Mitch’s wedding in the Season 6 episode, “5:15.”

It’s always fun to re-watch the episode and see how she was only interested in speaking to Fez (played by Wilmer Valderrama) when he started acting as if he was rich. Gotta love a gold-digger - and Bilson played it perfectly. 

Jim Rash - Fenton 

Before he was the Dean in the Community cast, Jim Rash played Fenton in That ‘70s Show, a character that would pop up every now and again at a jewelry store, beginning in Season 5 and helping Eric (originally) to buy Donna’s engagement ring. However, he soon becomes the landlord for both Fez and Kelso. 

As someone who had no idea who he was when I originally watched That '70s Show, it’s a joy to re-watch this show again as a Community fan and see him as Fenton. His character is so different from the Dean in Community, and that shows off his acting skills. 

Leslie David Baker - Janitor

Last but not least, we have Leslie David Baker, who portrayed a janitor in the That ‘70s Show episode, “Backstage Pass,” during Season 3. While Leslie David Baker is known more for his iconic role as Stanley Hudson as part of The Office cast, it’s always fun to revisit his small guest role in this show before he became known for that part, and his one little scene with Eric always makes me snicker. 

There are plenty of other fun guest stars who appeared on the show, such as Betty White, Alice Cooper, and many others, but these are some of my personal favorites that you might have forgotten about. Be sure to keep an eye out for them on your next re-watch of That '70s Show.

But while there was a lot of great action going on in the rink, longtime fans of The Office couldn't help but get wrapped up in the lighthearted feud between former co-stars John Krasinski (big time Bostonite) and Jenna Fischer (right up there with Jon Hamm in her St. Louis fandom) who went back and forth throughout the series.

That all reached a tipping point in the decisive Game 7 in Boston which John Krasinski attended with David Denman, who played Roy Anderson all those years ago. Everything about the 40-second video posted to Krasinski's Twitter is amazing from his cheeky comments to the reveal of Denman and his deadpan remarks to Fischer. But the joke's on them because Fischer was the one celebrating by the end of the night.

Angela and Kevin are two characters from The Office who spent a considerable amount of time together (being accountants and all that), and so you would think the actors who brought them to life would be tired of one another by now. However, that’s far from the case for Angela Kinsey and Brian Baumgartner, who still enjoy each other’s company, even if it’s for a (non-alcoholic) beer.

In April 2019, Angela Kinsey shared a picture alongside her former co-star to her Instagram account in honor of “Bring Your Beer To Work Day,” which was sponsored by Heineken as a way to promote it’s then-new non-alcoholic option. And I must say, they looked very happy doing so.

BJ Novak Snaps A Selfie With Mindy Kaling

There are a lot of great Ryan Howard-centric episodes of The Office, and a large chunk of those involve his on-again, off-again relationship with Kelly Kapoor. But there are just as many, if not more, social posts by BJ Novak and Mindy Kaling since their characters' swirling romance ended. There are so many times the two have appeared together on their respective social media accounts that it’s hard to count, so we’ll just focus on one of the more recent reunions.

In September 2021, BJ Novak posed with Mindy Kaling for a selfie in an Instagram post saying that he doesn’t usually ask to take photos with celebrities but he had to after seeing his former office-mate. The Office Cast Attends A Virtual Wedding

Those early days of the COVID-19 pandemic weren’t all that much fun for anyone, but there were a few bright spots to help us all get through quarantining, including John Krasinski’s YouTube show Some Good News. The wholesome talk show launched in March 2020 and welcomed millions of viewers into the Jack Ryan star’s world, offering them some much-needed positivity.

Back in September 2019, Angela Kinsey shared a photo on Instagram that showed her hanging out with her former co-star in front of a Tex-Mex restaurant. The two got together for some fun when Kinsey’s husband was busy with his fantasy football draft, and by the way the night sounds, it was one hell of a time.

Leslie David Baker Shows Up At Dancing With The Stars To Support Kate Flannery

Leslie David Baker, the actor behind the dry and sarcastic Stanley Hudson at Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton office, is supportive of his former The Office co-stars, especially when they are on one of the biggest dancing competitions on TV.

On Memorial Day weekend, John Krasinski became a bonafide blockbuster moviemaker with the rousing box office success of A Quiet Place Part II. Once best known for his affable lead performance as Jim Halpert on NBC's rewatch-friendly The Office, the actor-turned-director turned into an unexpected genre storyteller with two successful franchise films under his belt. While it's safe to say that Krasinski worked his way up to the Hollywood ladder from his once-humble workplace comedy beginnings, the actor isn't the only Office cast member to jump behind the camera as a feature filmmaker.

Indeed, John Krasinski's former co-workers, including Jenna Fischer, Rashida Jones, and soon B.J. Novak, have also made the leap into moviemaking, though some found more success than others. Here are The Office actors who have directed their own movies.

John Krasinski (A Quiet Place And A Quiet Place Part II)

Admittedly, it's a bit strange that John Krasinski, the winsome up-and-coming actor who endeared TV lovers everywhere with Jim Halpert's goofy charm in NBC's The Office, has become one of the most impressive horror-blockbuster directors in recent memory. Nevertheless, Krasinski proved himself to be a dynamic triple threat — a capable actor/writer/director in nearly equal measure — with 2018's surprisingly suspense-laden A Quiet Place, an unnerving, nicely-refrained creature feature/sci-fi family drama with a taut, tense allegory for the dangers of parenthood in an uncertain world.

While John Krasinski's directorial influences — whether it's Steven Spielberg, Alfred Hitchcock, or Ridley Scott — are easy to spot, this purposefully restrained, carefully helmed third feature demonstrated an actor-turned-director with unsuspecting chops as a visual storyteller — something that wasn't apparent with his overambitious first film, an adaptation of David Foster Wallace's Brief Interviews with Hideous Men, nor his maudlin, self-conscious sophomore movie, The Hollars. While Krasinski owes too many debts to these aforementioned auteurs to stand on his own, he took the right lessons from his peers, which is also true of A Quiet Place Part II. Though it lacks the surprise factor and the tight (if flawed) screenplay of his previous movie, Krasinski's fourth film showcases a director who continues to adapt as a promising Hollywood hotshot.

Jenna Fischer (LolliLove)

In 2004, only a year before The Office premiered, Jenna Fischer made her own farcical mockumentary with LolliLove, an extremely low-rent hour-long feature centered around a misguided Californian couple, played by Fischer and then-husband James Gunn as fictionalized versions of themselves, who attempt to make a difference in the lives of the homeless by handing out lollipops with cherry affirmations and original artwork.

Shot on a shoe-string budget of $1,500, which is a staple of its distributor, Troma Entertainment (Troma founder Lloyd Kaufman provides a cameo), this extremely (and purposefully) modest satire is clever in its concept and personal in its approach, notably with the majority of this indie being shot in Jenna Fischer and James Gunn's real-life house. It also features real-life home videos and interactions that blur the line between fiction and reality. While the movie itself is a bit shapeless and patchy in its approach, the improvisational dialogue and the sharp wits of its leads push the biting social commentary on self-important, out-of-touch elites to chuckle-friendly success.

Alas, LolliLove became a one-and-done experience for its lead actress/writer/director. While Jenna Fischer earned praise for her debut, the intensive micro-budget filmmaking process soured the actress from directing again, detailing the process as "painful" in a candid interview. Therefore, while the TV star would find commercial success following The Office's success, Fischer opted to stay in front of the camera in the years to follow.

Paul Lieberstein (Song Of Back And Neck)

While he was often the source of incessant, demeaning ridicule under Michael Scott's petulant leadership in the role of mild-mannered sad sack Toby Flenderson, in truth, Paul Lieberstein was often the one who called the shots on The Office. Whether as a producer, writer, or director, Lieberstein is — at least partly — responsible for shaping The Office into the lovable show that it is today. In fact, prior to this acting debut, Lieberstein focused his efforts entirely behind the camera, resulting in two Emmy wins. Writing/directing was his focus; acting came incidentally.

Therefore, it's not surprising that Paul Lieberstein eventually cashed in on The Office's long-standing goodwill to make his own film. That said, it's odd to see Lieberstein at the forefront of Song of Back and Neck — the actor's leading man debut in addition to his feature screenwriting and directorial debut.

Centered around an awkwardly deferential yes-man, played by our first-time filmmaker (surprise surprise), who suffers gruelingly intense back pain in his dissatisfied life, Song of Back and Neck doesn't seek to reinvent the wheel, particularly when it comes to quirky dramedies based around nebby low-men who can't stand up for themselves — quite literally, in this case. Yet, ironically, for a film about a guy in distressing, debilitating pain, there's a cute, comfortable charm to Paul Lieberstein's feature directorial debut.

Aided by the sharp talents of the actor-writer-director's co-stars, including Rosemarie DeWitt, Robert Pine, and fellow Office co-workers, Clark Duke and Paul Feig (the latter in a rare acting-only turn), Paul Lieberstein's amiable (if unadventurous) movie is too unruly to really come together in a lasting fashion — which is rather unfortunate for a movie about a man finding his core center. That said, this undemanding, unassuming directorial debut is unfittingly a pain-free watch that showcases his wry, winsome wit.

Rashida Jones (Quincy)

Paired alongside Alan Hicks, Rashida Jones opted to go close to home with her feature directorial debut, Quincy, Netflix's emotional, celebratory, and appropriately soulful examination at her unreserved father, along with the decades-spanning career and long-withstanding legacy behind one of the most accomplished musical legends of the 20th century. Painting an intimate, wistful, and warmly compassionate portrait of the renowned composer's consistently active — but increasingly frail — 80s, while also providing an expansive and engaging dedication to one of the most persistently evolving personalities of our times, it's safe to say that Quincy favors a loving look at the long-reaching resume of this workaholic talent. So much so that one wonders if the famous daughter's lens provides too delicate a touch on this artist's personal troubles.

But what often prevents Quincy from becoming outright hagiography is the subject's own candidness. While Quincy Jones is never quite as conversational as he is in that extraordinary Vulture interview, the award-winning musician is open and vulnerable about his bluesy feelings about aging, reflecting with tender remorse as his friends and colleagues "fall like flies," all while carrying a twinkle of pride in his eyes as he sees his children, grandchildren, collaborators, and legions of fans go on to achieve greatness through his immeasurable impact to the industry. It's not the definitive Quincy Jones documentary, but it's a touching tribute to one of the greatest musicians on the planet.

Melora Hardin (You)

Also known as You: A Love Story, Melora Hardin's emotionally explorative and intensely yearning directorial debut, You, follows a decade-spanning narrative centered around a grief-stricken father (Gildart Jackson, Hardin's real-life husband who wrote the script) who struggles to raise his daughter alone following the tragic death of his beloved spouse (Hardin). Produced by the husband-wife couple at the film's center, You is so clearly a personal, passionate project for its wedded actors-filmmakers. It's a shame, then, that Hardin's romantic melodrama lacks the stirring dramatic urgency and the rich sense of emotional catharsis that compelled them to make this warmly intimate movie.

Co-starring Brenda Strong and Allison Mack (pre ... you know), You can be touching in its unabashed sincerity. Likewise, this broad-reaching small-scale romantic drama is limited in what it's able to achieve on a low budget, which makes it hard to criticize. Clearly, this is an enormously heartfelt film, filled with gentle earnestness, and it should be celebrated as such. Alas, Hardin stayed in front of the camera following The Office's run, though she returned to the director's chair for a recent episode of The Bold Type.

Clark Duke (Arkansas)

Similar to John Krasinski with A Quiet Place, Clark Duke is indebted to his influences with Arkansas, a brooding, character-driven neo-noir that's liberally emulating the likes of Quentin Tarantino, Joel & Ethan Coen, Martin Scorsese, Robert Altman — to name only a few inspirations. Certainly, this crime drama doesn't mind lifting a few cues from the '90s ensemble pieces that shaped this actor-turned-director's early years.

Nevertheless, this self-aware, southern fried adaptation of John Brandon's 2008 novel demonstrates Clark Duke's rather resilient reverence for the irreverent dark comedies that populated movie theaters two — now three — decades prior, without sacrificing entertainment value along the way. Though not without its imperfections (the scope is lofty for a first-time feature, and Duke's shadowed photography can prevent the movie from complimenting its colorful cast of characters), the director presents himself as an admirable early filmmaker with a keen sense of how to balance tone and budding style.

Particularly with a best-to-date central performance from Liam Hemsworth, along with a coldly compelling villainous turn from Vince Vaughn, Arkansas is ultimately a bit undistinguished, but it's also a commendable debut in its own right. With a sharp ear for dialogue, a distinct sense of place, and an unwavering desire to impress, Clark Duke makes a familiar but finely-tuned little yarn in this well-worn, well-trotted crime genre.

And eventually joining this list will be B.J. Novak, who played Ryan on The Office, in addition to writing, executive-producing and directing episodes of the NBC series. B.J. Novak will serve as writer, director and star of Blumhouse's thriller, Vengeance. While no release date has been set, the film is also expected to star Issa Rae, Ashton Kutcher and Dove Cameron, among others.

As the NBC comedy The Office continues to build its popularity through behind-the-scenes podcasts and its streaming expansion on Peacock (complete with extended "Superfan" episodes), some sad news hit the fandom this week. Actor Mark York, who recurred across multiple seasons as property manager Billy Merchant, passed away recently at the age of 55. To be expected, his death was mourned by fans and friends alike, and several stars from The Office also took to social media to share their condolences.

Mark York passed away on May 19 at Miami Valley Hospital, and though a cause of death wasn't specified, it was reported that he succumbed to brief and unexpected illness. After the news of his death started making the rounds, many took time to remember York's work as Billy Merchant, such as Rainn "Dwight Schrute" Wilson, who shared the following message on Twitter:

First introduced in Season 2 for the episode "The Injury," Mark York's Billy Merchant was paraplegic, just as the actor had been since 1988. And though his wheelchair-bound nature was indeed poked fun at by Steve Carell's Michael Scott, as was his non-nurse girlfriend, Billy was one of the few Office characters that could dismiss Michael without letting things go too far. Everyone should be so lucky.

It sounds like Mark York had the same kind of good vibes that his character had, with Jenna Elfman sharing this on Twitter:

Mark York went on to appear in person across four episodes of The Office, while his voice could be heard in Season 3's memorable Pretzel Day episode, "Initiation." His final episode was Season 5's "Dream Team."

During a recent episode of the Office Ladies podcast, Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer revealed a deleted scene from the Season 4 episode “Goodbye, Toby” containing the long-held secret. Kinsey read the script for the scene:

Finally! After all this time, one of The Office’s weirdest mysteries has been solved. Having the scene of Jan revealing that moment to Michael would’ve been television gold, just like many others. Sadly, viewers never got to see the scene play out. But the reveal would’ve been right on-brand for the NBC sitcom.

During the podcast, Jenna Fischer gave some more insight into the Andy Roddick revelation. Her moment involved a connection with fellow Office co-star Rainn Wilson. Fischer said about the former tennis superstar:

To solidify the Andy Roddick connection, Angela Kinsey revealed her friendship with Roddick’s wife. She admitted to being tempted to text his wife the full scene for the couple’s amusement. Knowing the former tennis player would’ve loved The Office shout-out makes the omission even more bittersweet, and looking back at the episode, that moment would’ve blown viewers’ minds. When it was announced The Office would leave Netflix, I bet the hit comedy’s biggest fans were at least happy to learn a subscription to Peacock, on which it is now exclusively available, was free. Yet, after an insurmountable number of times binging Michael Scott’s (Steve Carell) managerial bumbling, Jim (John Krasinski) and Pam’s (Jenna Fischer) blossoming romance, and other workplace misadventures, it might be time to find something else to watch. However, if you still cannot get enough of The Office cast, there is plenty more from them available to stream.

In fact, the stars of the NBC hit, itself inspired by Ricky Gervais’ acclaimed British mockumentary style sitcom, have since gone on to lead some incredibly impressive careers in front of and behind the camera. For instance, Steve Carell is a respected Academy Award-nominated actor, John Krasinski is a successful filmmaker and action star, and Mindy Kaling is the brains behind some of the most groundbreaking comedy series in recent memory, just to name a few. The amount of exciting big and small screen projects that involve the cast of The Office outside their Dunder Mifflin tenure is almost too big a number to compile.

However, we are going to try anyway by focusing primarily on just 12 of the series’ biggest names and the most noteworthy titles of their respective filmographies. The following are the best movies and TV shows a fan of The Office can also spend their time with right now, starting with the man who gave you a reason to admire someone you would be ashamed to call your boss otherwise.

Steve Carell (Michael Scott)

Following his stint as Scranton’s inept Dunder Mifflin manager, Steve Carell recently played an Army general whose job challenges are less his fault on the satirical Space Force (which he co-created with Greg Daniels) and a TV host whose career mistakes are far more despicable (but to Emmy-nominated acclaim) on The Morning Show for Apple TV+. The former Office lead has also exhibited wonderful acting range in films like the clever rom-com Crazy Stupid Love, Adam McKay’s bold, Oscar-nominated political biopic Vice, heartbreaking family drama Beautiful Boy opposite Timothee Chalamet, and even the animated Dr. Seuss adaptation Horton Hears a Who! - his second collaboration with Jim Carrey.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute)

Outside of creating the website SoulPancake, Rainn Wilson has done well to outgrow his otherwise best known role of the ridiculously self-serious Dwight Schrute by playing a widow upended by Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s mysterious derelict in Hesher, a gym teacher battling zombie children in Cooties, the voice of Lex Luthor in The Death of Superman, and, most recently, on Utopia as one of several people who believe they must save the world. Plus, to see the actor in something crazy before he landed The Office, Rob Zombie’s House of 1000 Corpses easily does the trick.

Jenna Fischer has become synonymous with the character of Pam Beesly, a role she played on The Office for eight years (and nine seasons). It’s been seven years since she last played the role, and the actress still gets questions about the show. There also appears to have been a rumor floating around that involves her and former co-star John Krasinski. With this, Fischer is now taking the time to set the record straight.

Like many of us, Jenna Fischer is currently in self-quarantine and posted a picture of herself and husband Lee Kirk enjoying coffee and birdwatching in their yard. A fan then commented on the post, asking Fischer if the ring she wears is the engagement ring John Krasinski’s Jim Halpert gave to her character on The Office. Fischer was quick to give a response to the question:

Well, Jenna Fischer’s answer on Instagram couldn’t be clearer. This isn’t the first time she’s been questioned about whether or not she wears Jim’s engagement ring. A few years ago, she took to social media to explain that she did keep the ring (which is a prop) but does not wear it.

The idea of Jenna Fischer actually wearing her Office ring on a daily basis is far-fetched. When you consider the fact that the ring is fake and she’s been married for a decade, the rumor honestly doesn’t make much sense. While she probably shouldn’t have had to, it’s still good that Fischer spoke out to squash the rumor.

The Office fandom may still be going strong, but fans’ obsession with the relationship between Jim and Pam may be even stronger. The two characters quickly became the heart of the hit NBC comedy, with many believing that both Fischer and Krasinski were actually in love while filming. That idea has since been cleared up by Krasinski.

Fischer and Krasinki’s performances are two of the biggest reasons why the couple’s relationship worked so well. While they weren’t actually in love, the two actors became close while working on the show, which led Krasinski to give Fischer a personal farewell letter when they finished. And even though they’re no longer working together, the two still find ways to keep in touch, even if it just means talking trash about each other’s hockey teams.

A rumor can be a dangerous thing, but this one got out of hand. Clearly, Jenna Fischer has nothing but love for her The Office character and her co-star John Krasinski. However, some fans need to keep in mind that it’s not the kind of love that was shared between their two characters.

The one-two punch of The 40-Year-Old Virgin and The Office's success turned Carell into a comedy A-lister, resulting in an expanding movie/TV career. These days, Carell is seen in Apple's The Morning Show, which got renewed for a second season. He's also starring in Irresistible, a new political comedy written and directed by Jon Stewart. And he once again lent his voice to the role of Gru in the upcoming Minions: The Rise of Gru, which has now been delayed to the summer of 2021. Additionally, Carell stars in the Netflix comedy series, Space Force, which he co-created alongside The Office's Greg Daniels. It's expected to premiere in May.

John Krasinski (Jim Halpert)

As a good-natured prankster salesman with a heart, John Krasinski's Jim Halpert often served as the one half of the emotional core of The Office, particularly with the ongoing "will they, won't they" relationship between him and his co-star, Pam (Jenna Fischer). Since The Office's final half-hour, Krasinski has continued to expand himself as both an actor and filmmaker. That was certainly seen with his surprise hit horror movie, A Quiet Place, which he directed and co-wrote in addition to starring in. Last month, audiences would've seen the much-anticipated sequel, A Quiet Place: Part II, which he once again wrote and directed, but the film was unfortunately delayed indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic. In addition to this burgeoning horror movie franchise, Krasinski has also found a great deal of success playing the title role in Amazon's hit streaming series, Jack Ryan.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute)

As Dwight Schrute, the "assistant to the regional manager" and the constant source of Jim's pranks, Rainn Wilson played a memorable presence on The Office. While he didn't quite reach the same career heights as a few of his Office co-workers, he continues to have an active career in both movies and on television. Most recently, he was seen in the series finale of Transparent and a few recent episodes of Mom. Up next, he'll star in Gillian Flynn's new series, Utopia, and he's set to appear in the drama series, The Power. He'll also be seen in the thriller Don't Tell A Soul and he provided this voice to the animated movie Robodog, both of which are expected to come out at some point later this year. Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly)

As Pam Beesly, the receptionist of Dunder Mifflin who forms a "will they, won't they" co-worker relationship with Jim Halpert (John Krasinski), Jenna Fischer was the other half of The Office's emotional arc. The dryly funny actress who has primarily worked in TV since The Office ended, including Splitting Up Together, Drunk History, and You, Me, And the Apocalypse after her time on The Office. Fischer also wrote a book, The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide, which was published in 2017. She currently hosts the podcast Office Ladies alongside her friend and former co-star, Angela Kinsey.

BJ Novak (Ryan Howard)

As Ryan Howard, a low-level employee who became an active member of the office, B.J. Novak played a prevalent role both in front of and behind the camera on The Office. Serving as a writer and director on the popular series, Novak used his popularity from the series to continue working as both an actor and creative in the business. As an actor, Novak has been seen in The Mindy Project (which he also helped direct), Saving Mr. Banks, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Community, and The Founder since The Office came to a close. Up next, B.J. Novak will make his feature directorial debut with the horror-mystery-thriller Vengeance, which he also wrote and will star in. Ed Helms (Andy Bernard)

A Dunder Mifflin salesman who found himself promoted to Regional Manager shortly after Michael Scott left Scranton, Ed Helms went from supporting star to the head of The Office over the course of the show's run. Promoted in part due to his rising popularity thanks to The Hangover movies, among other projects, Helms remains active following his tenure on The Office. He's appeared in movies both big and small, including Vacation, The Clapper, Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, Chappaquiddick, Father Figures, Tag, and more. Up next, Helms will star in the new Netflix action-comedy, Coffee & Kareem, which hits the streaming service on April 3rd. Helms is also soon set to be seen in another new comedy, Togetherish, later this year.

Mindy Kaling (Kelly Kapoor)

As a customer service representative for Dunder Mifflin, Mindy Kaling's Kelly Kapoor grew in prominence throughout the course of the show's run. The actress, who was also a writer for the NBC sitcom, has also continued to rise in prominence since the show's finale, notably with her own TV series, The Mindy Project, as well as acting parts in A Wrinkle in Time, Ocean's 8, and a voice role in Pixar's Inside Out. Most recently, Kaling wrote and starred in Late Night, and she appeared in a few episodes of The Morning Show. She also created the Hulu series, Four Weddings and a Funeral, based on the 1994 movie of the same name, and she is the creator of the new Netflix sitcom, Never Have I Ever, which will premiere later this month.

Angela Kinsey (Angela Martin)

As the head of accounting at Dunder Mifflin, Angela Martin, played by Angela Kinsey, could often be a cold and careless person around the office. But as an actress, Kinsey has continued to brighten the screen through different film and television roles in Tall Girl, Fresh Off The Boat, Haters Back Off, and more. Up next, Kinsey stars in Mindy Kaling's Netflix series, Never Have I Ever. Also, she co-hosts the podcast Office Ladies with Jenna Fischer.

Oscar Nunez (Oscar Martinez)

As an accountant for Dunder Mifflin, Oscar Martinez, played by Oscar Nunez, is another character who has seen their role expanded on the show as it grew in popularity. Leslie David Baker (Stanley Hudson)

Brian Baumgartner (Kevin Malone)

Playing the part of the lovable Kevin Malone, a good-hearted — if not the brightest — accountant for Dunder Mifflin, Brian Baumgartner provided us with one of the most endearing characters on The Office. The actor continues to bounce between film and TV since The Office came to a close. He's been seen in shows like Melissa & Joey, Chicago Fire, The Goldbergs, and Good Behavior, to name only a few. Kate Flannery (Meredith Palmer)

As Meredith Palmer, Kate Flannery constantly found herself in some of The Office's most outrageous moments. Since her time on The Office, Flannery has continued to work primarily in television, notably doing voice work for shows like Steven Universe and OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes. Paul Lieberstein (Toby Flenderson)

As Toby Flenderson, the long-suffering Human Resources Representatives who was often the bane of Michael Scott's existence (while earning the wrath of a few other Dunder Mifflin employees as well), Paul Lieberstein played a memorable punching bag on The Office, though Lieberstein also had an extensive influence on the program as a writer and director. Since The Office came to a close, Lieberstein has continued to work in front and behind the camera, directing and starring in episodes of The Mindy Project and The Newsroom while also appearing in the TBS series People of Earth. Most recently, in 2018, Lieberstein made his feature debut by starring, writing, producing, and directing the dark comedy, Song of Back and Neck.

Creed Bratton (Creed Bratton)

Playing a fictional version of himself, Creed Bratton was one of the oldest members of Dunder Mifflin and he was certainly among the most spirited. Although he is primarily a musician, his memorable role in this popular sitcom is what he might now be best known for. Bratton was an actor before the show became a hit, though the series definitely helped him find more roles. He was most recently seen in The Sisters Brothers and an episode of Into the Dark. He'll next be seen in the comedies Maybe There's a Tree and Mayfield's Game.

Craig Robinson (Darryl Philbin)

Although Craig Robinson didn't have a sizable role at the beginning of The Office as Darryl Philbin, his character was brought closer to the forefront in later seasons, and the actor's profile has continued to soar throughout the years. Most recently, Robinson has been seen in Dolemite Is My Name, Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, and Timmy Failure: Mistakes Were Made. He also was heard in Dolittle and Big Mouth. When it comes to The Office, the cast has remained pretty close. The beloved comedy went off the air in 2013, and it turns out there was a particularly heartfelt moment shared between Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski, thanks to a farewell letter from Krasinski. Fischer and Krasinski played co-workers turned married parents, Jim and Pam.

Well, a moment between the fan-favorite couple in the final season doubled as something else entirely for Pam and Jim’s portrayers. Fans will recall that Jim had swiped away a note intended for Pam in the Season 2 episode “Christmas Party.” In The Office’s penultimate episode ever, Jim finally gives it to Pam. For years, fans have wondered what was written in it?

Cue Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey’s Office Ladies podcast, which takes fans behind-the-scenes of the NBC series. During the episode about “Christmas Party,” Fischer recounted reading the contents of Jim’s note, which John Krasinski had actually written during Season 9 at the behest of The Office’s developer, Greg Daniels. Of the note’s contents, Fischer explained on Office Ladies:

On The Office, Pam only learned about the note’s existence in Season 9's second-to-last-episode during a video montage. It was a gesture that Jim made after Pam had expressed her fears that she was not enough for him. She got to read the note right after watching the video.

Following the video montage and the note, Pam’s worries seemed to be put entirely at ease. So, what did John Krasinski write to Jenna Fischer in his farewell note to his long-time co-star? Jenna Fischer told listeners and fans of The Office:

Jenna Fischer continued to explain that it was John Krasinski’s feelings about what it meant to work with Fischer on The Office. She may have provided insight into what Pam told Michael during his final scene, but she is keeping Jim’s letter a secret. Whatever it was, Fischer summed up what John Krasinski wrote along the lines of Pam, saying it was “perfect.”

Just like that, The Office mystery continues! I would imagine that whatever it said was pretty sweet since it got Jenna Fischer to cry. While Fischer has given up some behind-the-scenes details before, she is still holding on to the secret of Jim’s note. Could a reunion special in any way lead to the reveal of this much sought-after information?

I doubt it. Jenna Fischer seems pretty content to keep John Krasinski/Jim’s letter just between them. At least, fans can take solace in one thing The Office star has shared. Jenna Fischer has said she believes that Jim and Pam are still together. Thank goodness!

After all they (and fans) went through for them to unite on The Office, the idea of them splitting up would be tough for me. As for the letter, I think it is safe to say this is one unsolved mystery that will probably remain that way.

The U.S. version of The Office has far exceeded the popularity of its predecessor, yet the original U.K. version is the one that gloriously gifted its fans with a two-part holiday special. (Not to mention the Red Nose Day special and the feature film David Brent: Life on the Road.) Anybody who wants to see a reunion, revival or one-off special from Steve Carrell's Michael Scott, Jenna Fischer's Pam Beesley/Halpert or Mindy Kaling's Kelly Kapoor, though, is currently out of luck, with zero follow-up plans in place.

The big question, however, is "Why in the hell(o ladies) hasn't The Office found a way to return to its adoring fanbase yet?" Granted, it's only been six years since The Office ended its nine-season run on NBC, which arguably happened two years after it should have, but fans have been clamoring for its return during each of those six years, and it only gets more intense when the stars randomly reunite. The interest is clear and present, and as we'll go over below, quite a few stars are interested in returning. So what gives?

Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey And Ellie Kemper Are Down To Return

The most recent wave of Office revival craziness has been heavily influenced by former co-stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey's podcast Office Ladies, where installments are focused on individual Office episodes. The stories they've told so far have been as hilarious as the NBC hit itself, which is stoking the hunger for at least one new installment to tide everyone over.

The two actresses appeared on Ellen on Monday, which was guest-hosted by Office vet Ellie Kemper, so you know there was a point when the topic of "more Office" came up. Here's the positive way that dialogue played out.

Honestly, if Jenna Fischer, Angela Kinsey and Ellie Kemper started up an Office spinoff that followed the female stars taking on other workplace foibles, either at Dunder Mifflin or a different company, I would tune in without a second's hesitation. Sure, I'd want to see Jim and Dwight and Phyllis and all the rest, but I also take what I can get without getting greedy.

John Krasinski Wants To Work With His Hollywood Family Again

In strict opposition to the slacker character of Jim Halpert, John Krasinski has been a whirlwind of activity in the years since The Office ended. His biggest successes having been winning over horror audiences with A Quiet Pace, and winning over general audiences as the lead in Amazon's Jack Ryan. As far as comedy goes, though, the most prevalent thing he's done since The Office was directing and starring in 2016's somewhat heavy dramedy The Hollars.

With A Quiet Place 2 currently in the works, along with Season 3 of Jack Ryan, John Krasinski likely doesn't have the time to devote to any longform Office continuations. That said, the actor has a deep respect for how the show brought all of the lesser-known talents together and gave them a makeshift family. Though he seemed more down for a one-off special in years past, Kraskinski told EW earlier this year that he would return to the show specifically to work again with that group. In his words:

I have to assume that John Krasinski is talking more about a revival than a reboot proper that doesn't necessarily tie back to the original Office's run. But regardless of what he wants to do, let's just remember that he does want to do it.

Creator Greg Daniels Did Have An Idea For More Office

Every single star from The Office could sign the most ironclad contracts confirming their return to The Office, but it's likely that nothing would happen without the guiding words of the U.S. iteration's creator Greg Daniels, who has also dealt with constant questions about revivals for King of the Hill and Parks and Rec. He's been mostly neutral with positive hints when asked about bringing The Office back, presumably as not to piss anyone off or make potentially empty promises.

Former NBC chief Bob Greenblatt, who currently oversees HBO and more as chairman of WarnerMedia Entertainment, recently revealed in an interview that Greg Daniels had a reboot idea in the running years ago. In Greenblatt's words:

Bob Greenblatt is in some ways like the King Midas of television, having brought in major successes for Fox in the 1990s and for Showtimes during the 2000s. From 2011 until 2019, Greenblatt spearheaded NBC's rise to the top of the ratings game with big hits such as The Voice, This Is Us and the trio of Chicago dramas. It's unfortunately that he wasn't around to continue pushing for more from Dunder Mifflin's elite.

To be fair, Greg Daniels spoke in October about the possibility of returning, and had a slightly less positive take.

He's basically saying that the show would need to only return as a special or a limited series, right? That's what I'm choosing to believe, anyway.

Others Are Also Interested In Seeing The Office Return

Understandably, just about every time someone from The Office gets interviewed about various projects, questions come up about bringing audiences back to Scranton for more. And for the most part, the responses are pretty positive.

For instance, Mindy Kaling told Variety that she would be down to assist Greg Daniels in anything he needed her for.

I guess it's a good thing B.J. Novak was even busier behind the scenes on The Office, or else his character Ryan might be in for some hellacious on-screen situations.

Rainn Wilson, whose Dwight Schrute was a walking meme generator, has also expressed interest in a limited Office return, having told CinemaBlend this:

Considering The Office's final two and a half seasons went without Steve Carrell's Michael Scott, the actor's presence wouldn't be entirely necessary for a reunion special, although it would be desperately wanted by fans. Carrell has been one of the most pessimistic Office vets about trying to bring it back, saying in the past that Michael Scott's inappropriateness wouldn't work as well in today's social climate, and that a story about an inappropriate boss also wouldn't work as well today.

That said, he did give Ellen DeGeneres a delightfully wonky pitch for a way to bring The Office characters back to TV in an unpredictable way.

Hey, if the only way we're going to get more The Office is to have it become a weird single-episode Cheers hybrid, so be it. Alternatively, if NBC wanted to keep putting up videos like the extended Threat Level Midnight video I've definitely seen worse things on TV this year.

So can everyone agree now that the time is right for The Office's creative side to start putting the pieces back in place for a limited-time reunion? (Or a never-ending reunion, if that sounds better to all involved.) Turns out, Jenna Fischer didn't stay far away from NBC after her famous sitcom ended. One of the first major projects she worked on after The Office, You, Me and the Apocalypse was a mini-series co-production with Sky 1 that found Fischer acting opposite Rob Lowe, Megan Mullally, and several others. It centers around a group of people trying to come to terms with the impending apocalypse as a comet starts racing ever closer towards the planet.

Unfortunately, it didn't last long, but it proved the TV actress could handle a fun turn in a goofier, more outlandish project than The Office. It lasted for 10 episodes in 2015 before You, Me and The Apocalypse called it quits. But all things considered, a show about the apocalypse wasn't expected to stay on terribly long.

Jenna Fischer Appeared In Roles On Several Other Shows, Including Drunk History

When it came time to end her tenure on The Office, Jenna Fischer didn't move to one show entirely. She lent her talents to a variety of different shows, in either limited or guest-starring roles. More specifically, Fischer made brief appearances on shows like Newsreaders, The Grinder, The Mysteries of Laura, and The Guest Book. She also made an appearance on Comedy Central's Drunk History as Katharine Wright, the sister of Orville and Wilbur Wright. Most of these shows are comedies, and that's to be expected. Nevertheless, it's nice to see Fischer spread her sharp comedy talents in many places.

Jenna Fischer Starred In A Number Of Independent Movies, Including Brad's Status

Beyond her television work, Jenna Fischer also branched out onto the big screen for a few movies. Having previous starred in studio comedies like Blades of Glory and Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, to name a mere few, Fischer was no stranger to the silver screen. Nevertheless, it is certainly understandable if you didn't hear about the movies she starred in after The Office. These movies include Are You Here, the feature debut of Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner, Kiss Me, the sophomore film from director Jeff Probst (best known as the host of Survivor), and Clint Eastwood's The 15:17 to Paris.

The actress also starred in writer/director Mike White's sophomore directorial effort, Brad's Status, alongside Ben Stiller, which was probably the most highly-acclaimed of these movies, notably since nearly all of the others got mixed-to-negative notices whenever they premiered in theaters.

Jenna Fischer Starred In ABC's Sitcom Splitting Up Together

Most notably, though, Jenna Fischer was working on a new sitcom altogether: ABC's Splitting Up Together, which premiered in March 2018. The show didn't get quite as warm notices as The Office, but it earned enough of a regular audience to justify a second season. That is as far as it got, ultimately. The sitcom was cancelled in May of this year. From executive producer Ellen DeGeneres, based on a Danish series of the same name, the show followed Jenna Fischer as Lena, a woman who found herself reunited with her husband after their divorce.

Jenna Fischer Wrote A Book Titled The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide

Continuing to build her resume, Jenna Fischer added "author" to her list of job titles when she penned the book The Actor's Life: A Survival Guide and published it in 2017. Featuring an introduction from Steve Carell, Fischer's book chronicled the life and career of its writer as she first made her way into the acting business at 22 ... and how very little went right until, of course, it eventually did when she found herself starring on The Office back in 2005.

Jenna Fischer Started A Podcast Called Office Ladies With Angela Kinsey

Like many people out there, Jenna Fischer is a podcaster. Earlier this year, it was announced that Fischer and Angela Kinsey, who played Angela Martin on The Office, would start a podcast titled Office Ladies that would spend each episode breaking down one episode of the hit show and answering questions from listeners. As there are a wealth of fans of the show out there, it makes sense to capitalize on the success and also have a chance to look back and reflect on the making of one of the most beloved sitcoms in television history. Additionally, Fischer and Kinsey are also good friends in real life, so they have a nice back-and-forth that allows them to share good chemistry as they prove tidbits and more about their hit sitcom.

These are only a handful of the accomplishments by Jenna Fischer over the years. It should also be noted the actress is a big fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and she's unafraid to trash talk her Office co-stars when it comes to sports. Few shows in recent memory have made as big of an impact on popular culture as NBC’s The Office. Recently, Jenna Fischer and fellow show-alum Angela Kinsey responded to a fan question on their new podcast, Office Ladies. They were asked about the second episode of Season 1, "Diversity Day," and whether there were any scenes they had filmed that didn’t make it into the episode. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time we’ve missed out on a hilarious bit from the show. These things often happen due to time constraints -- and that hasn’t stopped The Office from delivering some amazing episodes and giving us tons of great jokes -- but it does make me wonder what other gems landed on the cutting room floor. While I do miss the show terribly, I’m not hoping for a revival of the show and it seems that Mr. Scott would agree with me, but I am excited about the notion of this new podcast continuing to reveal unknown details about the hit show.

The Office’s Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen to promote the launch of their podcast about The Office. After Cohen brought up Chrissy Teigen’s poll on Twitter, which asked whether or not Jim and Pam would still be married, he ran down a list of characters to get their thoughts on what they'd be up to now. While there, they provided an update on the status of Jim and Pam’s relationship, whether Stanley’s still in retirement, if Tobey ever successfully launched his book career, and much more.

Jim and Pam: Jim Halpert and Pam Beesly are probably one of the cutest, sweetest TV couples of all time, so even the idea of them not still being married is preposterous. Sure, they’ve had their ups and downs, as couples are wont to do, but they’ve always been a strong pairing (even if Chrissy Teigen thinks they’re probably divorced now). Jenna Fischer says:

Whew, I’m glad Jenna Fischer and I are on the same page.

Angela and Dwight: This relationship was one of the stranger occurrences on The Office, but as bizarre as it was, Angela and Dwight made a whole lot of sense. She loved cats and he loved beets and everything worked out for them in the end. But are they still together? Yes, Angela Kinsey still believes they’re going strong.

I’m wondering whether Dwight’s brother, Mo, is still around, helping with all those Schrute babies. Probably.

Michael and Holly: Michael went through many a bad relationship before meeting and marrying Holly, the awkward yet sweet human resources professional. Together, she and Michael were a match made in heaven and they could do Yoda impressions all day long. Michael moved away with her at the end of Season 7, but did they ever make it back to Scranton. Nope, says Jenna Fischer, but:

Wedded bliss and kids is what Michael always wanted, so it’s nice to know he’s still happy. This next couple, maybe not so much.

Kelly and Ryan: They both had their own issues, and, together, their relationship was toxic but continued in an off-again/on-again manner for years. During Angela and Dwight’s wedding, Kelly ran away to be with Ryan, even though she seemed to have a very stable relationship with an attractive doctor.

According to Angela Kinsey, they’re still very much a “hot mess.” That sounds pretty accurate.

Phyllis and Bob Vance: Are they still sneaking in some “afternoon delights?” Angela Kinsey says yes, but Jenna Fischer notes that their relationship may have taken a dark turn.

Does Phyllis have it in her to kill someone? You be the judge.

In other non-couple updates: Tobey, the creepy human resources employee who was always feeling sorry for himself, never did find success as an author. Andy was absolutely at the center of other humiliating viral videos, Oscar did win that senate seat, and Stanley is still enjoying retirement, but probably has “multiple families” in Florida.

There are currently no plans for The Office to make its return to television, and, come 2021, the series will be moving from its current home on Netflix to join NBC’s new streaming service, Peacock.

The recent Stanley Cup tournament was a huge one for hockey fans, pitting the St. Louis Blues against the Boston Bruins in a hard-fought contest that managed to go all seven games. For anyone who isn't a fan of hockey, the Stanley Cup was still entertaining due to the friendly rivalry held between friends and former Office co-stars Jenna Fischer, a tried-and-true Blues fan, and John Krasinski, whose heart belongs to the Bruins.

Their back-and-forth had been fun to watch over the course of the first six games, but then John Krasinski went and pulled out the biggest guns of all when attending Game 7: he actually brought a guest in David Denman, who memorably starred as Pam's fiancée Roy Anderson in the early seasons of The Office. Jim and Roy hanging out together is as strange a scenario to think about as Creed and...anyone...hanging out together. Luckily, actor David Denman is a lot less of a doofus than Roy was, so he and his former co-stars have remained friendly over the years. This kind of a get-together was truly one of a kind, though.

Casual fans of The Office might think that John Krasinski dropping a Roy-bomb on Jenna Fischer during the Stanley Cup is a pretty random way to poke at her craw. However, hardcore fans know that hockey games play largely into Roy and Pam's relationship. For their first date, Roy took Pam to a minor league hockey game, with his brother also tagging along, and the two men ended up leaving the game after Pam, forgotten, had gone to the restroom.

Amusingly, Jenna Fischer recalled that moment in her response to Krasinski's tweet.

No word on whether or not Roy's brother was also in attendance for Game 7.

It turns out, though, that it wasn't just John Krasinski looking to rile Jenna Fischer up, either. Their former co-star Steve Carell also shared his team allegiance on social media, which did not sit well with Fischer.

In the end, of course, there was nothing that John Krasinski could do to curse the St. Louis Blues, who ended up winning the Stanley Cup with a score of 4-1. It was all in good fun for everyone, so no hard feelings were had.

Jenna Fischer was not a sore winner, either, even if she immediately celebrated with a video of her decorating a blue cake to the tune of the team's big rallying song this season, "Gloria."

While it'll be quite a few months before hockey season starts back up and gets John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer's rivalry beefed up again, fans can always watch the actors sharing the screen together on The Office, which is available to stream in full on Netflix (for now).

An Office reunion recently went down between two of the original actors, and it was as hilarious as it is sweet. That is a rare combination,˜ but Busy Tonight managed to pull it off. Jenna Fischer was a guest on Busy Philipps’ E! talk show when Steve Carell surprised the heck out of his former co-star. Fast forward to the 2-minute-30-second mark to see the big moment below:

Steve Carell startling and pleasantly surprising Fischer was the grand finale of Fischer’s unboxing extravaganza. Before Carell was unboxed, Fischer opened three other gifts. Each of them from another of her co-stars from The Office.

The first was a jar of raisin crisps from Ellie Kemper, who played Erin on the NBC comedy. Jenna Fischer revealed that she and Kemper enjoyed the snack when they were on The Office set. The second gift was a bread shirt from Angela Kinsey (also Angela). Apparently, Fischer loves bread to the point her husband has talked to her about it.

In the third box, which marked the penultimate gift before Steve Carell’s present of his presence, was a banjo. Said gift was from Ed Helms (Andy), who plays the instrument. Then it came down to the big one, literally. One more time for posterity! Here is Jenna Fischer’s reaction to Carell’s surprise in GIF form:

What is excellent about Jenna Fischer’s response is that after she settled down from the shock, her face moved into the most poignant expression. She even started to cry. I’m not sure if that was from the stress of the past few seconds washing over her or being moved by the sight of her former co-star. Either explanation works.

It has not been a super long time since Steve Carell and Jenna Fischer shared the screen. A few months ago, Fischer along with Ellie Kemper, Ed Helms, and Nancy Carell appeared for a skit on Saturday Night Live. The goal? To convince Carell to do an Office reboot. Carell weighed in with his thoughts on the proposition.

Fans will recall that Pam and Michael shared a unique bond on The Office. In Michael’s final episode, Pam showed up at the airport to say goodbye at the last minute.

Viewers were not able to know what Pam said to Michael since he had taken his mic pack off. Jenna Fischer has subsequently filled fans in. Clearly, these are two co-stars who still share a sweet friendship and the ability to keep surprising each other!

Steve Carell hosted Saturday Night Live on November 17 and got so close to confirming a reboot for The Office. His monologue was completely dominated by Office talk, including cameos from four fellow stars. Ellie Kemper (Kelly Erin Hannon), Ed Helms (Andy Bernard), Jenna Fischer (Pam Beesly), and Carell's wife Nancy (Carol Stills) took turns popping up in the audience during the monologue, all to (jokingly) cajole Carell into agreeing to an Office reboot/movie/revival. Classic. This is definitely giving us hope for a true return of The Office. As Ellie Kemper joked in the clip, "People would really love to see an Office reboot -- because I need that money. Let's get that money, Steve!" Ed Helms stayed on that theme, adding, "I just don't think you understand how much money we're talking about. You wouldn't have do those sad movies anymore." (Steve Carell said he liked doing those "sad movies," like his new film, Beautiful Boy.)

You had to know the Office talk was serious when they broke out the big gun -- Jenna Fischer. She had this classic exchange with Steve Carell, aka Pam's former Dunder Mifflin boss Michael Scott:

Steve Carell's wife Nancy and their two kids also joined the fun. And it seemed like the monologue was building up to a big reboot reveal, when The Office cast joined Carell on stage, and he said, "I am proud to announce officially... that we have a great show tonight!"

So we have no reboot news at this point, but Steve Carell had to know the monologue would revive interest. Then again, he has trolled fans before. Remember when he tweeted the "Breaking News" that The Office was returning to NBC, then mock corrected his "typo" to say Will & Grace was returning? Ugh.

Several Office stars have said they are up for a revival of some kind. John Krasinksi is now a thriving film director (go, Jim!) but he said he'd be up for a reunion movie or whatever.

Rainn Wilson (Dwight Schrute) also chimed in on the idea, saying they all basically agreed that if the timing was right -- amid everyone's busy schedules -- they'd like to do something. But he, personally, was not interested in doing something like new Office episodes, like the Will & Grace revival. However, he said "if there was some fun little arc where we get to revisit our characters in a given time, that could be a lot of fun."

By the way -- since she brought it up during Steve Carell's SNL monologue -- Jenna Fischer recently revealed what Pam really said to Michael in that classic airport scene.

The workplace comedy mockumentary provided both laughs and tears during its long tenure on the air, and perhaps no episode is as emotional as Michael Scott's last day at Dundler Mifflin. We watched him shoot hoops with the warehouse guys and leave both Erin and Dwight emotional, but it was his goodbye to former receptionist Pam (Jenna Fischer) that was the true gut punch of the episode. Michael hands over his microphone to the documentarian and says goodbye, before Pam catches up with him in the airport. We can't hear their conversation during the goodbye, and Fischer finally revealed what she said during that heartbreaking scene. She said,

Well, that's one way to get an honest performance. Because the interaction was without dialogue and therefore not scripted, Jenna Fisher was able to truly express her love and affection for co-star Steve Carell in this moment. You can see how it emotionally affects the comedian, and the scene itself is classic mushy Office sweetness.

Jenna Fischer explained this tidbit of trivia through her recent Instagram story. Many celebs have taken to this medium to directly communicate with their followers, therefore allowing fans to feel a bit closer to their favorite actor/actress. Fischer no doubt wants to amp up excitement for her new show Splitting Up Together, and is happy to give all the Office binge watchers a little extra love in the process.

It's been years, but that one still gets me to well up. While The Office is full of ridiculous moments, the more emotional scenes are always handled expertly as well.

Steve Carrell left The Office after nearly 150 episodes, and the show would end up running for two more seasons without its protagonist. Narratively they did this by having Michael Scott finally getting what he always wanted: a family. He moved to Colorado to be with Holly, and the series finale revealed they also had kids. He got his happy ending after all.

Jimmy Kimmel, who was surprised at first, quickly found a way to work it into the conversation, which led to the discussion about a hypothetical scenario where they're at a destination wedding and just ran into each other at a spa. The fashion faux pas resulted in a great segment, and it was definitely a late night moment that Jimmy Kimmel Live! viewers will not soon wipe clean from their minds.

Jenna Fischer's decision to conduct her interview wrapped in a towel was a bold one, to be sure, but was it completely necessary? Sure, the dress was broken, and as Fischer told Jimmy Kimmel, she had put it on far too late to get the zipper fixed, but what had she worn to the set that day? Probably not, although stranger fashion trends have taken off over the years. More likely than not, the interview will be remembered as a highlight of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and hopefully any Roseanne fans who saw this interview will stick around after the classic sitcom's revival to see Fischer's new comedy series Splitting Up Together. With exposure like that, maybe the only designer that celebrities need in their lives going forward is Bed, Bath and Beyond.

The modern nuclear family has changed considerably over the years, and its evolution is something that ABC has already tapped into on plenty of occasions -- particularly with the long-running success of the aptly-titled Modern Family. With Splitting Up Together, the network is bringing Office vet Jenna Fischer back to primetime for a new comedy with its sights on the controversial topic of divorce, though it sadly sidesteps the more interesting complications. All in all, Splitting Up Together is the story of a family dealing with the fallout of two parents who decide to (you guessed it) "split up together," and the result is an entertaining, but mostly hollow, experience.

That titular decision is made before the show even opens, too. Lena (Jenna Fischer) and Martin (Oliver Hudson) invite their closest friends and family over to announce they have decided to pull the plug on their relationship, but due to their shared financial woes with their house, they will continue to keep living together for the foreseeable future. As we watch them alternate between parenting duties and the single life on a weekly basis, Lena and Martin trade off the burdens/joys of taking care of their three eccentric kids, while also trying to get out into the world and move on from the central failed marriage.

On a purely conceptual level, Splitting Up Together admirably feels like a new premise that's ripe for exploration. The fact that Lena and Martin have already accepted the fact that they don't want to be together anymore (or do they?) circumvents some of the traditional drama inherent to a divorce-oriented story, and the fact that nobody else in their lives seems particularly affected by their big decision is actually a refreshing way of saying "look at how this is so not a big deal anymore." On the one hand, it's arguably a nice change of pace compared to the usual life and death tone that divorce narratives naturally generate on television; but on the other hand, it also robs Splitting Up Together of some chances for more natural drama to offset the comedy.

To that end, Splitting Up Together's biggest issue is that it cannot quite figure out where it wants to settle down on the comedy spectrum. From the very first episode, it is clear the series is attempting something edgier than most traditional sitcoms, at least in the way that it approaches topics of sex and parenting. There's even a subplot involving Lena tackling a medical issue involving her son's testicles that seems particularly frank for a traditional broadcast network. That said, whether it's intentional or merely a consequence of existing on a network like ABC, Splitting Up Together never quite goes all the way with its edgier gags, and the outcome is a sitcom that feels awkwardly nestled between tame, family-friendly content and the more daring TV salaciousness seen on less restrictive networks.

On a performance level, Oliver Hudson seems to be the clear standout of the bunch. Jenna Fischer gets to have some fun as the bored mom thrust back into the young person's dating world, but it's Hudson that gives the show the bulk of its emotional core and heart. Early on, Martin comes across as an unlikable narcissist, but by the time the premiere comes to an end, we get a much better sense of who he is and how the divorce has affected him. It also helps his case that Hudson has so much experience in the traditional multi-cam sitcom realm, having spent six years playing a lovable goofball on CBS' Rules of Engagement, while Fischer's time on The Office relied more on dry, deadpan deliveries.

Similarly serviceable is the show's supporting cast. The friends and family in Lena and Martin's shared life all serve as a chorus to sound off on the former couple's bizarre antics, though there are few legitimate standouts among the ensemble. In fact, the only two who make any real impact are Mad TV alum Bobby Lee (who brings a genial goofiness to the show as Martin's best friend, Arthur), and newcomer Olivia Keville as Mae, the bizarrely deadpan feminist daughter who frequently butts heads with Martin and her brothers.

If you are looking for some solid, disposable TV sitcom fun that doesn't have too many sharp corners, then Splitting Up Together will probably deliver the laughs that you're looking for. Beyond that, however, it's mostly a tame and formulaic exercise in the family comedy world that relies too heavily on familiar tropes to generate its premises and offer up its laughs. Not "bad" by most metrics, but also not particularly memorable, either.

For avid TV fans, there are certain love stories that transcend the rest. There's Sam and Diane from Cheers, Rachel and Ross from Friends, and Jim and Pam from The Office. The latter is one of the most gut wrenching couplings in modern TV, as The Office audience sat through season after season of watching their mutual attraction grow. And when they finally became a couple, the show kept on breaking our hearts through a touching wedding, the birth of their child, and even some marital problems. Jenna Fischer played Pam Beasley with charm and vulnerability throughout the show's nine seasons, but it turns out her acting roots were a bit more humble. Namely, she got her first acting gig appearing in a sexual education video.

Jenna Fischer dropped this cringeworthy bomb in an op-ed in the New York Times, revealing her hilariously uncomfortable first job as a professional actress. After a year of living in LA without booking any jobs, the sex ed video came at the perfect time. In her piece, Fischer revealed how bizarre the script itself was, saying:

Well, my day is made. This seems almost like a script Michael Scott from The Office would write, and then force the likes of Pam and Phyllis into performing. Seriously, it's just one step away from Threat Level Midnight.

Jenna Fischer's New York Times article proves how things can change with one great job. Her struggles attempting to establish herself as a working actress in LA echo the struggles that many celebrities have upon first arrival. Fischer did the sexual education video back in 1997, so it was quite a few years before she'd steal our hearts as Pam in The Office's 2005 premiere season. She'd end up booking the occasional guest spot before then, including two appearances on Six Feet Under, but The Office was certainly her big break, and the role she is most known for today.

And if Jenna Fischer didn't land that first role that helped keep her in LA, we might never have gotten the love story of Pam and Jim. So thanks, weird sex ed video. We owe the love for the Halperts to you, in an way.

As it turns out, Jenna Fischer recently opened up and admitted that the conference room scenes were her favorite times filming The Office because they capitalized on the camaraderie among the cast. It's no secret that one of the keys to The Office's success was the dynamic between the many quirky characters. While most of the show's scenes capitalized on that, none of them brought the ensemble together quite like the conference room scenes. It doesn't matter if it involved Michael Scott trying (and failing) to teach sensitivity training or CPR, it's going to be ridiculous. Even when the camera wasn't rolling, the group dynamic (particularly John Krasinksi's contributions) produced the most fun.

That said, it doesn't sound like it was all fun and games on the set of The Office. Later in Jenna Fischer's appearance on Variety's Remote Controlled podcast, she explained that the set of the hit NBC sitcom was kept relatively cold. As a result, the women were typically much colder because they wore comparatively fewer layers than the men, and they couldn't bundle up for scenes in the conference room, which was apparently kept super-cold.

Despite Jenna Fischer's clear love for her time on The Office, she also doesn't seem to think that a reunion is in order anytime soon. Many Office vets have voiced their support for revival episodes in the years since the show went off the air; John Krasinski even wanted a holiday special at one point. However, unless they did a "lost tapes" type of episode of supposedly deleted scenes, Fischer believes that the conclusion of the overall arc seen in the series finale adequately capped off the show. Even if no reunions ever happens, at least we will always have all those conference room holiday parties and party planning committees, right?

If you've been missing the weekly dose of Jenna Fischer that you got for nine seasons while she was making The Office a little bit brighter, then you might soon be in luck. The actress has recently signed on to star in a new pilot from Suburgatory creator Emily Kapnek.

Word of Jenna Fischer agreeing to star in the pilot came down today from The Hollywood Reporter. The pilot, titled Splitting Up Together, is currently in the works at ABC. The comedy is based on a Danish series that focuses on a couple whose fractured relationship is actually reignited by their divorce. Fischer will play Lena, who's struggling with her new post-divorce life, even as she continues to be way more prepared for most things in life than many people. Lena is also trying to learn new ways to deal with her ex-husband, Martin, who has a super laid back way of raising their three kids, which has always annoyed her. Kapnek is writing the script for the pilot and will serve as an executive producer, along with Ellen DeGeneres and others.

Jenna Fischer helped to make The Office part of NBC's must see TV lineup from 2005-2013. Her Pam Beesly was quiet, artistic and frequently awed by the chaos that often ensued at work, but, as we all know, she at least had a good friend there in salesman Jim Halpert. She was often a player in Jim's tendency to prank their co-worker, Dwight, and their romantic tension and eventual relationship drove a good portion of the series. There are probably few Office fans who didn't root for Jim and Pam at some point during the show's run.

While she's certainly best known for her part on The Office, Jenna Fischer has appeared in several other television projects since her tenure as Pam ended, and has also been in several films since she began her stint on that popular show. Fischer has been in films such as Slither, Blades of Glory, A Little Help and Are You Here. Her recent TV appearances have included You, Me and the Apocalypse, The Mysteries of Laura, The Grinder, Drunk History and The Guest Book. Fischer was also a part of the main cast of the CBS Matt LeBlanc starrer Man With a Plan, but left the project after shooting the pilot when the show was picked up to series and went in a different direction creatively.

The Office's Jenna Fischer is going viral after tweeting a callback joke that takes us all the way back to 2005! Fans of the show may remember the Season 2 premiere in which Michael hosts the employee appreciation awards ceremony dubbed The Dundies in a local Chili's restaurant. For those that don't remember, the episode ends with Fischer's Pam getting removed from the establishment after sneaking too many drinks from the bar. As a result, she is banned from any and all future visits to Chili's, but it looks like Pam managed to slip one over on the restaurant chain:

Of course, fans went wild over the reference hearkening back to one of the most beloved episodes of the series. In addition to being one of the first truly laugh-out-loud funny episodes in the series, it's also the first episode where Pam kisses Jim (after the kiss that took place at Dunder Mifflin). Surely fans of The Office remember that first kiss that led to Pam ending her eternal engagement with fiance Roy. Chili's, loving the attention and callback gag, responded with one of drunk Pam's best lines from the episode:

It's not the last time Chili's would be featured on the series either. Later on in Season 2, Michael Scott is in the midst of his own complicated relationship with his boss Jan and recommends that the two opt out of entertaining a potential client at the Marriott and instead take him to Chili's. When Jan asked why, Michael declares it is the "new golf course" and "where business happens," and cites Small Business Magazine. Few Office moments can top Tim Meadows joining Steve Carell in singing Chili's baby-back ribs jingle, and the ep also gave us another great gem when Michael orders an "Awesome Blossom with extra awesome", a line that I'm sure Chili's servers had to hear for years.

Don't use that line anymore, by the way, as you'll be embarrassed. Chili's stopped serving the Awesome Blossom back in the late 2000's, which is weird, as it's only a couple years after The Office referenced it! Is it possible that many employees got disgruntled after hearing the same joke over and over again that restaurant heads removed the item to improve worker morale? I can only speculate on that. What I can tell you is that my friend's face turned super red when he confidently delivered the line to our server, only to be met with, "We don't serve that anymore". Also, maybe my friend was actually me, and I was on a date. The moral of the story is: never use the words of Michael Scott to woo a woman.

If there was an adorableness meter on Twitter, I'm pretty sure it would have completely burst apart by this picture. There is nothing that could make this picture any more perfect. Sure, a tiny hairy Mose would have been great, or even a Mini-Jim dressed up as Mini-Dwight. But those wouldn't have made it more perfect, since this lil' dude is a winner all by himself. He can't be beet. Right? Right? Though the child was originally mistaken to be Jenna Fischer's son, Buzzfeed has since confirmed that this adorable mini-Dwight is the son of a fan, Ashley Gill, and he loves The Office.

Funnily enough, the beet isn't even the best part, and nor is the pitch-perfect little Mini-Dwight garb. Top prize goes to the sign, which allows onlookers to read it and hear the words in their heads in the voice of Dwight Schrute (or actor Rainn Wilson, if you prefer). It isn't likely that the little guy would have been able to deliver those lines with the precise comic timing, so a sign it is! On the flip side, I bet this lil' dude knows that there are more than three words Dwight is using in his self-description.

You might be thinking that the face above is the one that Dwight would be making in seeing his image honored by imitation, but that might not be the case. After all, in the episode where Jim does dress up as his bear-obsessed coworker, Dwight makes his stance on identity theft very clear. I mean, millions of families suffer every year, Jenna Fischer! How could you?!?

The Office has been off the air for a short while now, so you won't be able to catch any new episodes - we still wish Dwight's beet farm spinoff had happened - but that doesn't mean you can't spend some binge-heavy time with the former NBC hit on Netflix. It's perfectly natural to still miss it, as even writer and star B.J. Novak keeps the fun alive on occasion.

Meanwhile, Jenna Fischer has popped up across TVs in recent years on shows like You, Me and the Apocalypse, The Mysteries of Laura and The Grinder, and her next role will be in the Mike White-directed comedy Brad's Status with Michael Sheen and Ben Stiller.

The Office was a beloved series for its nine-year run on NBC, and one of the most popular characters was played by comedienne Jenna Fischer. Fischer is currently a regular on NBC's dramedy You, Me and the Apocalypse, but she'll be returning to the half-hour sitcom circuit with the lead female role opposite Matt LeBlanc on the CBS comedy pilot formerly called I’m Not Your Friend.

Jenna Fischer will play a character called Andi, according to THR. Andi is a housewife who decides that she wants to return to her job as a medical lab technician, so her husband Adam takes over parenting duties while she spends her days at work.

The pilot will be led by a power couple of comedic performers as Fischer is joined by Matt LeBlanc of Friends fame. Fischer and LeBlanc as Andi and Adam promise that the show has the potential to bring the laughs in a big way. In fact, the writing and producing will have to be pretty abysmal to tank a pilot headlined by this particular duo.

Luckily, the pilot is set to be handled by folks who know comedy. The script is being written by Jeff and Jackie Filgo of That ‘70s Show, and James Burrows (who directed the Friends pilot and 1,000 other television episodes) will direct the first installment of the project. Matt LeBlanc will also serve as an executive producer.

Both Jenna Fischer and Matt LeBlanc got their big breaks thanks to long-running roles on half-hour NBC sitcoms, so it should be interesting to see them kick off a show on CBS. Only time will tell if the project will be another Office/Friends success story or more of a Joey flop. The potential series was originally called I’m Not Your Friend, but it lost its title sometime between the pilot order and Jenna Fischer being cast.

Fischer’s role as female lead may draw former Office fans to the CBS series, but there’s no question that a decent amount of her popularity on The Office was connected to the Jim/Pam romance. We’ll have to wait and see if Jenna Fischer as a settled wife to Matt LeBlanc will be as compelling to Pam fans as Jenna Fischer was as the object of the lovelorn Jim’s desire in early seasons of The Office.

Personally, I’m optimistic about the pilot. Fischer really came into her own over the years on The Office, and she can more than pull her weight opposite comedy giants. LeBlanc has proved that he can work wonders in a good cast, so there’s no reason to believe that he and his leading lady won’t be a good fit.

We can't say just yet if or when the pilot will hit the airwaves on CBS, but Jenna Fischer being cast as Andi is definitely reason to get excited for CBS' upcoming decision. While we wait, there are plenty of fabulous old Office episodes just waiting to be binge-watched. There’s no denying that when the perfect TV couple comes along, it’s hard not to want the people portraying that couple to become an item in real life. Last week, the news that Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski, the real life counterparts of Jim Halpert and Pam Beesley from NBC’s The Office, were actually in love during the filming of the show, took the internet by storm. Now, though, Krasinski has stepped forward to clear some things up.

John Krasinski spoke with The Daily Beast about the last week’s kerfuffle, and immediately squashed the hopes and dreams heaped on the actors by eight long years of fandom. Krasinski was responding to Jenna Fischer’s comments to a caller who spoke with her during Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live. The actress noted that the two had “real chemistry” and said that they each had a bit of their characters in them. She also said that those bits were “genuinely in love with one another.”

Alright, before all The Office fans go crazy again, I will admit that it would be pretty easy to take Jenna Fischer’s words the wrong way. Especially if your fangirl or fanboy tendencies often lead you to dream that your favorite fake couples would saddle up to a real relationship. And, honestly, how many TV couples can top the slow, sweet burn that was Jim and Pam? They started off as inside-joke work buddies who were obviously hooked on each other, but couldn’t be together because of Pam’s slightly jerky fiancé. Viewers who cared about Jim and Pam stayed with them through furtive glances, confessions of love, dating new people, dating each other, engagement, marriage, babies and, finally, a move away from Scranton and the oddballs at Dunder Mifflin.

To be fair, Jenna Fischer, if you read her words clearly, did qualify her own comments very quickly. Instead of saying that she and John Krasinski were in love, she says that the parts of them that made their characters come alive were what was in love. And, that makes total sense. In order to get that lovely kind of relationship on screen, you have to tap into a part of you that adores your co-star.

John Krasinski is absolutely right to step in and clear the situation up. He and Jenna Fischer both married other people in 2010, and the last thing anyone in a solid relationship wants is to have rumors floating around that they were hooked on a co-star while getting together with their future husband or wife.

So, I hope that clears everything up. Pam and Jim were in super duper love, but John Krasinski and Jenna Fischer were just two actors doing a damn good job of making us believe it.

Every generation has a TV romance that defines the era, whether it’s Sam and Diane from the Cheers, or Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak in a hardcore action romp like Arrow. One of the most iconic on-screen couples in recent memory is the relationship between Pam Beasly and Jim Halpert from NBC’s The Office. Their unspoken love for one another elevated the show beyond a mere workplace comedy and gave the proceedings a more relatable pathos for any audience member. Now it seems that we weren’t the only ones who genuinely felt something between those characters.

During an appearance on Bravo, Jenna Fischer admitted that she and Krasinski had some level of feelings for one another as The Office went on over the years:

Looking back on the series, it makes perfect sense that they would feel this way. The two actors spent eight years pining after one another and eventually became one of the most downright adorable on-screen romances we have ever seen. In order to properly portray a relationship like that, a performer must be willing to give themselves over to those sorts of feelings, and properly convey them on screen. It goes without saying, although we’re going to say it anyway, that these two actors accomplished this feat with incredible poise and grace.

Of course, the Jenna Fischer would go on to point out that there are some fundamental differences between the characters and their real life counterparts. Despite their good chemistry, and potential real feelings of love for one another, they still were not the “perfect match” that audiences came to appreciate over the years. In reality, Fischer is happily married to filmmaker Lee Kirk, while John Krasinski is married to actress Emily Blunt – both couples married in 2010. Still, in our hearts Jim and Pam will always be the perfect match.

While The Office may have ended, we can rest easy knowing that the emotions and overall feelings we had while watching the show were shared by those on screen. Jim and Pam will go down in history as one of the best on-screen couples of all time and we owe it to the connection between Jenna Fischer and John Krasinski. The two were so good that they basically ruined love for an entire generation of TV audiences by being so damn perfect together.

The series has already spawned several big stars who aren’t hard to keep track of, but if you’re wondering where you can see your other Office favorites in the future, here’s a peek at life after The Office for some of the stars.

Steve Carell has already taken his career to new heights thanks in large part to his role on The Office, and Mindy Kaling moved on to launch her own new series The Mindy Project just this past fall. But those who have stuck it out to the end are just getting started on their next moves. Here’s a look at what some of the stars of The Office plan to do next.

Rainn Wilson. Not long ago it looked like Wilson would get to keep right on playing Dwight Schrute on a spinoff called The Farm. Not so; NBC aired the pilot during The Office, but it won’t go to series. Wilson recovered fast though; he’s booked a drama role instead on CBS’ Backstrom pilot.

John Krasinski. Already having popped up in a number of films, Krasinski will next be lending his voice to the animated film Monsters University, which is a prequel to Disney’s huge hit Monsters, Inc.. He’s also set to guest star on Netflix’s new season of Arrested Development.

Jenna Fischer. The actress who plays Pam is setting her sights on the big screen. Fischer has already done a number of films, and she has two coming out this year. Kiss Me with Missi Pyle and You Are Here with Zach Galifianakis, Owen Wilson, and Amy Poehler.

Brian Baumgartner. Back in the fall we heard the Baumgartner was working on a new comedy project for ABC with Greg Daniels. We haven’t heard anything more on it since, but if it doesn’t go forward it seems like Baumgartner will find his way back onto TV, maybe in another Daniels project. Craig Robinson. Speaking of Greg Daniels projects, Craig Robinson is moving on to another one as well. He’s starring in a still-untitled comedy as a music teacher, which incidentally is a former career of Robinson’s. Jean Smart has signed on to co-star.

Angela Kinsey. Back in October, Fox picked up a comedy starring Kinsey and Rachael Harris, but since then the actress signed on for a different pilot. The Gabriels is also at Fox, and Kinsey is set to play a therapist.

Phyllis Smith. While there’s no word on when we’ll see her on the screen again, if you live in St. Louis you can see her live this summer. St. Louis Today reports that she has joined the cast of Nunsense Muny Style for a run this July.

Creed Bratton. It’s back to audio for Creed Bratton. THR says the former musician is releasing an audio biography in three parts that will include music among the recordings.

Oscar Nunez. Nunez has signed on for a role in the comedy pilot Holding Patterns, where he’ll be working with another Office alum, Nelson Franklin. He also has a TV movie on the way called The Education of Eddie and Mortimer.

As for the rest of the Dunder Mifflin crew, some have yet to announce their plans and others may well be headed for a much needed rest. We'll be sure to update you if and when they sign on for future projects. No need to worry - it seems pretty clear that there is definitely life after The Office ends on May 16th.

I can’t be alone in finding it amusingly fitting that Jeff Probst’ upcoming directing endeavor should be for a script penned by a Lost writer. And yet, from the sound of it, the film has nothing to do with islands. Two more have been added to the cast of Kiss Me, one of whom is also no stranger to television, while the other has appeared on the small screen recently, but is better known for her film work.

Written by Sarnoff and directed by Probst, Kiss Me is described as a coming-of-age drama that follows a teen named Zoe (Sarah Bolger), a girl who’s stuck in a back brace due to scoliosis, and who forms a relationship with a married man, whose kids she babysits. John Corbett (My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Sex and the City) is set to play the married man. And according to the Hollywood Reporter, Jenna Fischer has been brought on board to play his wife, “whose kindly attitude toward Zoe changes when she discovers a relationship between the girl and her husband.”

Meanwhile, Rita Wilson will play the girl’s mother, “who parents with tough love, ultimately pushing the girl to seek affection elsewhere.” Steven Weber plays Zoe’s father.

I can’t help but draw a connection between Wilson and Corbett, as Wilson was among the producers of My Big Fat Greek Wedding through her husband’s production company Playtone. Her recent roles include a multiple episodes of The Good Wife. While I have no doubt that she can play a tough-love mom, my favorite performance of hers is from Sleepless in Seattle when she played Hanks’ kind and hilariously emotional sister. The scene when she describes the plot of An Affair to Remember is priceless.

Meanwhile, it’s great to see Fischer adding another film to her upcoming projects. After having a baby last fall, the actress took temporary leave from The Office, but if you’re caught up on the series through last night’s episode, you know that Pam is back from her own maternity leave, and it looks like Fischer is getting back to TV and movies.

During the first couple of seasons for The Office, back when I was still totally head over heels in love with her, this trailer for A Little Help represents the sort of movie it seemed Jenna Fischer would be doing soon. Then she’d catch fire before launching into an even bigger movie career, maybe becoming the next Julia Roberts. She ended up doing bit roles in mediocre comedies or horror flicks instead.

Now The Office isn’t as fun as it once was. Her character on the show is a little less cute and a lot less fun, and the bright and shining career which seemed inevitable for nearly everyone on The Office from Merdith to Oscar to Kevin is definitely not going to happen. But Jenna finally has a starring role in what could be the right kind of feature film. Better late than never.

NBC's tentpole The Office saw a serious drop in the numbers last week when they aired the first Michael Scott-less episode, and even the presence of interim manager Deangelo Vickers, aka Will Ferrell, couldn't do much to slow the slide.

THR reported that the adult demo fell "17 percent after spiking last week for Steve Carell’s final episode." However, this may not be the most accurate stat because, as they mentioned, the show saw a big spike in their viewership for Carell's final episode (therefore, the numbers were probably low but not as bad as the 17% would suggest). Okay, enough with the boring stuff, let's get to this week's season finale and the loads of big names they've brought in for cameos.

Here's what we have to look forward to in the season 7 finale, entitled "Search Committee," as well as several clips from the ep.

When first reporting the existence of the forthcoming romantic comedy Giant Mechanical Man, Mack claimed that the news was everything you could possibly hope to know about the project, given that we already knew the director (Lee Kirk), the stars (Jenna Fischer, Chris Messina, Topher Grace, Malin Akerman), and the concept (a zookeeper is stuck in a romantic triangle between a street performer and a motivational speaker). That was pretty much all there was to talk about, right?

Wrong! There's always room for more side characters, of course, and THR reports that Lucy Punch, Bob Odenkirk and Rich Sommer have all signed on for small roles in the film. They're not explaining any of the roles but Punch's, who will play Messina's character's girlfriend, but with Odenkirk recognizable from a current stint on Breaking Bad and Sommer still a regular on Mad Men as Harry Crane, you'll immediately recognize both of them when they pop up on the screen.

As for Punch, she's the least well-known of the three newcomers, even after roles in two high-profile films this summer, the comedy Dinner for Schmucks and Woody Allen's You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger. Both films underperformed, though, which helps explain why her name still isn't quite out there. Who knows, Giant Mechanical Man may turn out to be the big break; the project is already shooting in Detroit, so will likely show up at some point in the next year.

Exactly how many characters can manage to fit into the Farrelly Brothers' Hall Pass. We've already got Jason Sudeikis, Owen Wilson and Jenna Fischer in the lead roles, and Stephen Merchant, J.B. Smoove, Amanda Bynes, Derek Waters and Nicky Whelan have all managed to find supporting roles as well. Now there's another actress to add to the pile-- Deadline Hollywood reports that Christina Applegate will join the cast as well, playing one of the lead wives.

I'm not sure who's married to who, if it's Applegate & Wilson or Applegate & Sudeikis, though I'm voting for the latter for no apparent reason. Applegate's sitcom Samantha Who? is wrapping up its run this season, so it makes sense for the actress to try her hand at movies once again. We're in desperate need of some fresh blood for romantic comedy heroines anyway. Welcome back to the fold, Christina.

Bad news for anyone hoping the Farrelly Brothers were finally hard at work on that long-awaited Three Stooges movie. They’re casting Hall Pass instead.

THR says The Office’s Jenna Fischer is in negotiations to star opposite Owen Wilson in the film as his wife. The movie is about a married couple in which the wife gives her husband permission to have sex with other women. Hence the term “hall pass”. Odds are this will result in all sorts of jealousy and unexpected angst, unless this is a movie about swingers. But then Owen Wilson would have to give Jenna Fischer a hall pass as well and, in America, we don’t like to acknowledge that women like to have sex. It’s a double standard, but it works for us. So full blown swingers… probably not. Besides, what kind of comedy could you get from that? How many jokes can you really make about water soluble lube?

No, it’s reasonable to assume it’ll mostly be Owen Wilson out to have extramarital relations. Even though he’s married to Jenna Fischer. That’s madness. Utter madness. No one is going to buy that.

This doesn’t mean the Farrelly’s aren’t still doing Three Stooges but it does mean that it probably doesn’t have their full attention. Which movie are they doing first? Wait and see. Nyuk nyuk nyuk.
