Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly invited 1,000 guests to Madison Square Garden to witness the celebrity wedding of the year, and days later we’re still talking about who was (and, perhaps more interestingly, who was not) on that list. Swifties were shook over Karlie Kloss’ golden presence, as the two had a falling out years ago that some fans insist was actually a breakup, but that wasn’t the only blast from the bride’s past in attendance — one A-lister brought another of Matty Healy’s ex-girlfriends.

Liam Hemsworth was in the Garden to see Adam Sandler officiate Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s ceremony, and naturally he brought along his fiancée, Gabriella Brooks, who posted what looked like pre-wedding pics of her and the Hunger Games star on Instagram. Fans were quick to pick up on Brooks’ connection to Swift, as both used to date The 1975 frontman Matty Healy.

Gabriella Brooks reportedly dated Matty Healy from 2015 to 2019 — four years before Taylor Swift’s short-lived romance with him in 2023 that followed her breakup with Joe Alwyn. Swift and Healy may not have been an official item for very long, but the whirlwind romance made quite an impact, with much of The Tortured Poets Department believed to be about Healy.

In the years since, Taylor Swift has apparently gotten close to Gabriella Brooks, who was first linked to Liam Hemsworth in 2019 after her own Matty Healy breakup. Brooks and Hemsworth even attended one of the Eras Tour’s London shows in 2024, per Parade, as she was seen dancing alongside Travis Kelce in the VIP tent.

Surprisingly the connections to Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends don’t end there. Sophie Turner was also reportedly on the guest list, and despite both women having dated Joe Jonas, they have a long-established friendship. In fact, when Turner and the Jonas Brother divorced, Swift even let Turner and her daughters stay at her New York apartment — inspiring the actress to call Swift “an absolute hero.”

Then there’s Zoë Kravitz, who is engaged to Harry Styles — another of Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends (and song muses). Swift dated the One Direction singer about a million years ago (aka 2012) and has been friends with The Batman actress for over a decade. There’s definitely no bad blood there, and EW reports that Styles was even invited to join his fiancée at the MSG nuptials but was unable to because he’s on tour.

In fact, Harry Styles reportedly surprised fans at his Wembley Stadium concert on Friday by singing “Two Ghosts” — a song widely considered to have been inspired by his and Taylor Swift’s breakup.

A lot has been said (and sung about) over the years regarding Taylor Swift’s dating history, so it’s kind of fun and very interesting to see so many connections to past boyfriends as she settles down with Travis Kelce. Most actors don’t have an entire eight-season run of a popular TV show under their belt by the age of 23, but that describes what happened to Sophie Turner in May 2019. So, it’s understandable the actor has been a little bit MIA in recent years. That all changes on the 2026 TV schedule between her new Prime Video series Steal and the first look of her Tomb Raider. In a new interview, Turner opened up about her extended time away from Hollywood before coming back.

While speaking to The Guardian, the 29-year-old spoke to what it was like to find herself outside of Sansa Stark in the industry following the Game of Thrones finale. In her words:

Turner started dating Joe Jonas back in 2016 when she was twenty and the famed singer was 27. The couple got engaged one year later and tied the knot in 2019 before having two daughters together, Willa and Delphine, who were born in 2020 and 2022. The couple ended up separating in late 2023 and reaching a divorce settlement one year later.

The Game of Thrones star wasn’t completely off the grid following the series finale, given she was notably in HBO’s The Staircase, Joan for ITV and The CW, and briefly in Do Revenge, but this year marks a serious uptick in roles for her. Here’s what she said about slowing down on her acting career after Game Of Thrones:

Sophie Turner definitely had her hands full raising two daughters in the past few years, but now that they are turning six and four this year, it seems like she’s ready to emerge back into the public sphere with her latest projects. The Amazon Prime series Steal is already set to premiere on the streaming service on January 21. It follows an office worker who gets caught up in a big heist.

And then of course there’s her Tomb Raider series, where Turner will play the leading role of Lara Croft. The series will also star Sigourney Weaver and Jason Isaacs. Turner has been training hard to portray the video game character since last February, and she’s looking completely ripped. The series, which has Fleabag’s Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is currently in production.

Other than that, Turner has reunited with Kit Harington to play lovers for the gothic horror movie, The Dreadful, which is coming out on February 20. While Turner’s comeback has been a long time coming, it sounds like her time away from acting really benefitted her life, and she’s clearly coming back now in full force.

The new year will be bringing new resolutions and fresh starts for a lot of people, but plenty of nostalgia is also heading to the 2026 TV schedule. Disney is officially coming out with a new Camp Rock film with the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato on hand as executive producers. Even though Camp Rock 3 will focus on a new generation of Camp Rockers, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas will be reprising their roles as Jason, Shane, and Nate Gray, a.k.a. Connect 3, and the sequel will indeed feature some of the original movie’s songs. So the one I really hope is included

Despite the movie including a mostly new cast and plenty of new songs, there will still be a lot of reason to reflect on the past. And not just because the Jonas Brothers and Maria Canals-Barrera are returning to their roles. Camp Rock 3 director Veronica Rodriguez told Entertainment Weekly that the new film will indeed include some familiar favorites when it comes to the music:

Camp Rock and Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam have some pretty iconic songs for Disney, and it can be assumed that Camp Rock 3 will also have some fun ones, as well. But as an OG fan, it is nice to know that there will be some songs from the original in the new film, whether they’re the original number or a new version.

And while there are a lot to choose from, I am hoping that Camp Rock’s finale number, “We Rock,” is on that list. While it was the final number in the movie, it definitely brought the fire. Everyone was together, and it even had the words “Camp Rock” in the song as they all sang about the summer they had and how much they wanted to rock.

It would theoretically be easy to bring a new version out for Camp Rock 3 with the new generation of Camp Rockers, whether it’s again for the finale or included at some point in the movie, assuming they keep the jam nights from the original movie or even the Final Jam. And with the Jonas Brothers reprising their roles, maybe they could even sing their original lines or pass the torch. Additionally, fans have been hoping Demi Lovato will return for a cameo, so maybe she can even sing her original line. If she returns as Mitchie Torres, that is.

Of course, fans should not expect the original songs to sound exactly the same, but it will still be exciting to hear them again. It’s hard to predict how Camp Rock 3 will turn out. However, it sounds like there will be a lot for both old and new fans, and I can’t say that I’m not intrigued. For now, fans will just have to wait and see how Camp Rock 3 goes when it airs on Disney Channel this summer, and for those with a Disney+ subscription.

The Jonas Brothers are finishing up the final leg of their Greetings From Your Hometown Tour, and are slowly transitioning into bona fide movie stars once again. The trio recently released their Christmas filmA Very Jonas Christmas Movie, for those with a Disney+ subscription, and will soon be returning to Camp Rock as Connect 3 for Camp Rock 3. Even though they have plenty of fans from all over the world who listen to their music and stream their movies, there are some people who hate their movies, and I cannot get enough of the Jonas Brothers’ impression of them.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Kevin, Joe, and Nick Jonas talked about people who don’t like their movies, pointing out how they can tell the difference between those who genuinely like their movies and those who thinki that it's all trash. As an example, Joe and Nick ran through a fun scenario of someone trying to talk about anything other than their movie, and I can’t stop laughing:

It can’t be easy hearing someone say that their movie is "trash" without further explanation, but I just love the impression that Joe did and got Nick’s stamp of approval because it’s how it always goes. And it’s safe to say that they probably aren’t the only ones who go through those kinds of snap judgment, so it wouldn’t be surprising if other celebrities would relate to it.

This is just another way the Jonas Brothers make fun of themselves. The fact that they can clearly tell when someone doesn’t like their movie, as opposed to someone who thinks the movie is “actually funny,” all because they will avoid talking about said movie, is pretty hilarious. That being said, as someone who has seen A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, it was actually funny, and I’m not just saying it. The film was anything but trash.

With Camp Rock 3 coming next year, it can be expected that the brothers will be hearing even more about how someone doesn’t like their movie or is trying to avoid talking about it, especially since it is Camp Rock 3. Andno, they're not doing it because they're in debt. While the movie will probably be filled to the brim with nostalgia, it will consist mostly of new Camp Rockers, while the Jonas Brothers are just making appearances in it as Connect 3, and it’s unknown how much they’ll even be in the movie. At least it’s easy for them to tell the difference between a genuine reaction and trash.

If the Jonas Brothers are known for anything that’s not music or acting, it would be making fun of themselves, and they aren’t afraid to do it. This also includes Joe Jonas going into the comments of TikToks making fun of his parallel parking skills, and I would love to see his impression of that.

Joe Jonas may be known for being 1/3 of the Jonas Brothers, but he is also known for his lurking. The musician has been quite active on TikTok, roping his brothers into filming some pretty chaotic videos, both on and off the road. He’s also been interacting with fans on videos, and even responded to someone asked if the Jonas Brothers are only doing Camp Rock 3 because they're in debt. So it’s no surprise that he got into the comments section of a different TikTok after a girl caught him parallel parking.

Parallel parking may be one of the hardest, if not the hardest, thing a driver has to do. And it seems like most people struggle with it, no matter how long they’ve had their license for. This includes celebrities such as Joe Jonas. TikTok user neha.nas shared a video of him being seen trying to parallel park in New York, evidently for seven minutes:

Considering I probably would have failed my road test if I had to parallel park and avoid it whenever possible, I definitely feel for Jonas. But it’s even worse when he has an audience, and he knows he had an audience as well. The “Constellation” singer took to the comments with a funny response, and it makes me love him even more:

Jonas always has a funny response to videos on TikTok, and his parallel parking issues are apparently no joking matter for him, which makes the entire situation even better. Hopefully, he did eventually parallel park on his own, but I just can’t imagine having an audience watching me while I’m struggling with parking, but from the looks of the video, he was holding his own. Even if it did take a while.

Joe Jonas has always had a unique sense of humor, so him getting into the comments section of various TikToks makes sense. Earlier this year, he explained why he was the only Jonas Brother who “loved” South Park’s parody of the band that involved him getting beaten up by Mickey Mouse. But that’s just what makes him even more lovable and why so many Jonas Brothers fans claim that he is their favorite. The parallel parking TikTok is just the latest example of his humor.

Of course, taking to TikTok comments isn’t all that Jonas has been doing lately. He and his brothers are still on their Greetings From Your Hometown Tour through the end of the month. And the three can most recently be seen in their own Christmas movie, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, which is streaming now with a Disney+ subscription. There are plenty of hilarious jokes where they make fun of each other, and new songs, and it’s just the thing to get into the holiday spirit.

The Jonas Brothers never seem to stop. They're currently on a nationwide tour that is selling out arenas, recently released their latest project, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie and are returning to their roots by joining the Camp Rock 3 cast. It feels like this band of brothers is everywhere, and someone recently asked if they're have some financial troubles that supposedly resulted sparked this level of exposure. Joe Jonas, for his part, had a hilarious response to that person's assumption.

The Camp Rock 3 teaser trailer hit the web, showing shots of the iconic summer camp that millennials grew up watching in the Disney Channel movie series. Said trailer ends with the Jonas Brothers staring out at the lake, looking towards what comes next. The trio's involvement was surprising to many, considering how much time has passed and how many more big opportunities they’ve had since the OG flick debuted in 2008 and its sequel in 2010. One X user speculated financial woes may be at play, saying:

It’s fair to say the Jonas Brothers have been doing a ton of projects and press, and returning to Camp Rock arguably doesn’t feel like a lateral move in the same way as some of their other business moves. The Jonases have always felt like they were interested in growing as musical acts and, on paper, some may seem this as a bit of a step back. However, I think the boy band is comfortable with their decision, as Joe Jonas responded with his own X post, saying:

This is a hilarious response, and a reference to a line from the original Camp Rock movie when the brothers talk about returning to their summer camp. I don’t think they're taking this criticism too much to heart.

It's worth noting that at least one member of The Jonas Brothers did have financial struggles after they reached stardom. Kevin Jonas admitted to nearly losing all of his money after the band split up in 2013. However, this was a long time ago, and since The Jo-Bros reunited back in 2019, they’ve had tremendous success with their three studio albums and multiple tours.

From the outside looking in, Camp Rock 3 feels like a fun gig the Jonas clan booked to get back in touch with their roots, as Joe Jonas suggested. The Jonases have also expressed nostalgia when talking about their time working on the first two films. Demi Lovato, the original star of the franchise, is also involved in an executive producer capacity, so it seems like a reunion of some sorts.

Yes, I’m sure there was a financial incentive, as the brothers’ involvement brings a lot more attention to the project. That’s just showbiz, and it’s also important to strike while the iron is hot. The Jonas Brothers are a buzzy entity, and why not capitalize on it while still culturally relevant?

As if it’s not enough knowing that the Jonas Brothers have been a band for twenty years, the boy band also went back down memory lane recently by reprising their roles as Connect 3 in Camp Rock 3. Ahead of the streaming release joining the 2026 TV schedule sometime in the new year, I’m getting emotional over what the JoBros said about returning to the Disney Channel franchise.

In celebration of the band’s 20th anniversary in 2025, People talked to the Jonas Brothers about their careers. While looking forward to Camp Rock 3, they had some sweet comments. Let’s start with Kevin Jonas:

While I know I thought they were instantly famous the moment I saw them on Disney Channel as a kid, as I’ve gotten older and they’ve spoken more openly about their journey thus far, I’ve learned that they had a much more rocky journey to becoming pop sensations. For example, one time they told the chaotic story of how Joe Jonas auditioned for Camp Rock.

It sounds like initially Joe’s role of Shane Gray was all Disney was looking for, but by some strike of luck, they all got cast, and the rest is history. Joe Jonas also added this about going to the Camp Rock 3 set:

It was officially announced that Camp Rock 3 was happening back in September while the project from Disney Branded Television was filming in Vancouver. All of the Jonas Brothers are back to play Connect 3 in a storyline where they lose their opening act for a “major reunion tour” and decide to go back to Camp Rock to find “the next big thing” as their replacement. Here’s what Nick said about the experience:

Camp Rock happened for the Jonas Brothers amidst their act starting to gain traction for their first album, It’s About Time. Before they knew it, they started a working collaboration with Disney and were all over Disney Channel. Before Camp Rock, I remember seeing them cover classic Disney songs on Radio Disney and guest-starring on Hannah Montana, but starring in their own movie (alongside Demi Lovato and her Camp Rock knees of course) was an even bigger deal.

For the new Camp Rock, they’ll be passing the torch to some new campers, but it’s great to see they are involved alongside Lovato also producing. It sounds like it was a really lovely experience for the trio.

Oh, and they recently had a Christmas movie come out on Disney+ and are already brainstorming what holiday to do a movie about next. It’s a great time to be a fan of the Jonas Brothers, and I can’t wait to get emotional with them when Camp Rock 3 comes out.

Growing up, the Jonas Brothers were my Beatles, so of course when I heard A Very Jonas Christmas Movie would be on the 2025 Christmas movie schedule, I knew I would be pressing play so fast. Now that it’s new on streaming, I’ve come back to share one predominant thought I had watching it, and it’s about Kevin Jonas... I’m as surprised as you are. SPOILERS ahead.

Kevin Jonas’s Christmas Wish Being To Finally Get To Sing Was Sending Me

First off, I had such a blast with A Very Jonas Christmas Movie. It brought me back to those days when I watched them on Disney Channel as a kid. It’s so unserious, and not trying too hard to be one of the best Christmas movies of all time or anything – just fun holiday viewing to enjoy with some eggnog. But, as someone who’s been a JoBros fan for the past 20 years at this point, I wasn’t expecting Kevin Jonas’s funny plot line.

If the storyline wasn’t hilarious enough already… The whole movie revolves around them being cursed by Santa Claus, who makes sure they have the worst holiday travel luck from London to their homes, in order to help them bond. All of them have their own personal things they are working through as they get stuck together for longer than expected and are away from each of their wives (minus Joe) and kids, but Kevin’s big secret is that he wants to finally sing with them moving forward.

Anyone who’s been following the Jonas Brothers knows that Nick and Joe are the two vocalists of the band. I just figured Kevin wasn’t into the whole singing thing, but it’s kind of the perfect inside joke for fans that this would be his big Christmas dilemma. As a bonus - there’s a scene in the movie where all the Jonas Brothers are apart and singing their own verses, and Kevin’s part is him just playing the guitar and the lyrics playing on the screen as subtitles. I wasn't prepared.

Then, I Learned Kevin Jonas Just Released His First Solo Song And It Gave Me Chills

At the end of A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, Kevin gets the chance to join his brothers in the final song. Don’t get me wrong, it’s totally sweet, but in the context of being a fan for so long, it’s kind of funny that the eldest brother would need to work himself up to ask his brothers if he can sing. Especially, when he actually has a great voice.

After I watched the movie, I learned that Kevin actually just released his first solo track ever recently, and it’s SO GOOD. Check out him playing on tour:

I’m simultaneously shocked and laughing, because all this went down in the most Jonas way possible. Anyways, here’s to more goofy Jonas Brothers movies, and perhaps a burgeoning solo career for Kevin!

The Jonas Brothers have officially returned home to Disney with their Disney+ Christmas special, A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, which recently premiered amid the 2025 movie schedule. Honestly, it reminds me a lot of their Disney Channel days of Jonas and Camp Rock. Thankfully, the brothers seem to be just as nostalgic as I am these days, and have signed onto the long-awaited Camp Rock 3, returning to the franchise that seemingly launched them to another level of stardom. The JoBros recently revealed the wild story behind Joe’s original Camp Rock audition, and let’s just say they were lucky to even get a call back.

There’s a popular misconception that the Jonas Brothers were a band Disney created, encouraged by media like South Park, which poked fun at their Disney roots and purity rings. The actual truth is that the band of brothers hustled on their own dime for nearly two years before signing with Walt Disney Records. The JoBros were flying by the seat of their pants, and it led to Joe Jonas recording perhaps the worst audition tape Disney had ever seen. Nick Jonas told Entertainment Weekly how the chaotic story fell into place:

All this and more is detailed in the Jonas Brothers’ Prime documentary Chasing Happiness, which happens to be one of the best music docs I’ve seen. It shows how the brothers got into performing, all the way to the band breaking up and finally reuniting in 2019. It’s incredible how much footage they have of Kevin, Nick, and Joe Jonas as kids, from about age 3 and on, it’s almost like they knew they were going to be famous.

You have to remember though, this was the ‘90s into the 2000s. The Jonas Brothers were in their prime My Space era and were constantly capturing everything on video. It wasn't always the best quality, something Nick said wasn’t great for his brother’s Camp Rock audition:

Kevin Jonas recalled holding a hotel lamp pointed straight at his brother, presumably while Nick filmed, and I just have to think that made the video quality worse somehow. Now, imagine sending that crappy home video taken in a hotel room to the big execs at Disney Channel. To no surprise, the Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle actor said the head honchos over at the House of Mouse thought it had to be prank:

Man, what I would give to see that OG Camp Rock audition tape, though the Cup of Joe host joked to EW that Disney has it “somewhere in their vaults.” I guess I’ll have to settle for the real thing, when Camp Rock 3 eventually premieres on Disney+, hopefully sometime next year on the 2026 movie schedule.

Christmas has come early for the Jonas Brothers, and they're already thinking about other holidays. The musicians have released their new Christmas film, appropriately titled A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, which is now streaming with a Disney+ subscription. It has all the cheesy chaos expected from a Disney Channel-like project that will give any fan major nostalgia. It sounds like the brothers want to keep that energy going, too. That's because, as the project drops on the 2025 movie schedule, Joe Jonas has revealed the next A Very Jonas movie he wants to make.

A Very Jonas Christmas Movie marks the Jonas Brothers’ first acting project with Disney since their Disney days over 15 years ago. While the brothers have released multiple albums and gone on many tours since getting back together in 2019, this movie is a fun and new throwback to the start of their careers.

When asked by ABC’s On the Red Carpet what it’s been like being on set together again, Joe was more than happy to gush about working with his brothers. He also seemingly wants to do more movies like A Very Jonas Christmas:

In A Very Jonas Christmas Movie, the Jonas Brothers play versions of themselves, and they’re trying to get home to their families for Christmas. However, it seems like every form of transportation they try to take ends up being a disaster. What a St. Patrick's Day movie would look like for the Jonas Brothers is unknown, but I love the idea of them keeping this funny and festive story going on different holidays.

Considering Camp Rock 3 is also happening, with the brothers set to star and executive produce it (Demi Lovato is executive producing it too), it's clear their relationship with Disney is healthy. So, I wouldn't be shocked if they keep making fun, heartfelt and silly movies with the company.

I also think it's possible that Disney could decide to do another project in the Very Jonas canon if enough people tune in to A Very Jonas Christmas Movie.

Not only has it been fun to see the Jonas Brothers working together again since reuniting in 2019, but it's also always a blast to see what "Cool" and funny projects they create.

I'm also here for all their funny comments and bloopers, too. For example, after someone gave their “Sexy Nick Jonas” pillow to a thrift store, Joe hilariously said he was the one behind it. They’ve also had some chaotic moments during their current tour, from forgetting lyrics to losing microphone packs and much more. And that's the kind of energy I want to see in another movie (like a St. Patrick's Day flick).

The Jonas Brothers doing another holiday film following A Very Jonas Christmas Movie would be great, but they are still as busy as ever. However, since they found the time to film the Christmas flick, they should be able to find time to work on another one. But fans will have to watch A Very Jonas Christmas Movie for now since it’s finally streaming on Disney+.

The Jonas Brothers have been famous since they were kids, growing up before our eyes throughout the years. The first two Camp Rock movies are streaming now on Disney+. The Jonas Brothers are still touring now, so fans can still see them perform live. We'll just have to wait for news about Camp Rock 3.

The Jonas Brothers have certainly been famous as a group for many years, with the celebrity siblings acting alongside each other in Disney projects and performing on stage. But outside of their professional lives, they’re like everyday bros messing around with one another. In fact, after a “sexy Nick Jonas” pillow was found in a thrift store, his older brother, Joe, shared a hilarious response.

Plenty of people definitely see sex appeal in Nick Jonas, so naturally, there’s a “Sexy Nick Jonas” pillow. Surprisingly, it was revealed in @commentsbycelebs Instagram post that the particular merch pillow was found at a thrift store. When someone asked who would dare put the “Sexy Nick Jonas” item there, leave it to Joe Jonas to leave his hilarious response:

Gasp! Well, that’s one way to tell your little bro how you feel about him. In all seriousness, it's clearly all in good fun. After all, this is the same musician who playfully said he cried his eyes out after finding out the younger Jonas got The Voice judge gig in season 18 over him. There’s nothing like a little sibling rivalry to keep things entertaining.

The “Sexy Nick Jonas” pillow may be at a thrift store, but the real Nick Jonas sure isn’t. He’s currently playing along with his siblings for their “Jonas20” tour to commemorate the band’s 20th anniversary. Supporting acts like The All-American Rejects, Jesse McCartney, and the band’s youngest brother, Frankie, will be featured in shows playing up until December 22nd.

Not only can you see The Jonas Brothers blow you away on stage, but they’re also coming back to Disney. Soon to hit your 2025 Christmas schedule, the musical trio will be starring in A Very Jonas Christmas Movie about the pop-rock band trying to make it from London to New York in time for the holidays with their family.

Here’s the icing on the Disney cake— The Jonas Brothers will also be reuniting with Demi Lovato for Camp Rock 3! I’m already looking forward to the new tunes, humor, and chaos that will surely come from the upcoming DCOM. Maybe the “Sexy Nick Jonas” pillow will make a cameo!

I’m truly curious if Joe Jonas is the real culprit for how the “Sexy Nick Jonas” pillow ended up in a thrift store. If so, Nick Jonas is going to have to come up with some hilarious, sweet payback to send his big bro’s way. If you were growing up in the early 00s, chances are you were around for the Camp Rock movies on Disney Channel. The made-for-TV movie musical brought together the Jonas Brothers at the height of their early fame and a new star at the time, Demi Lovato, to follow the success of High School Musical. Well, apparently these former teen idols are ready to make Camp Rock a trilogy!

Camp Rock 3 Is On The Way With The Jonas Brothers Back In Their Roles

Thanks to a press release from Disney Branded Television, we can confirm Camp Rock 3 is officially on for Disney Channel and Disney+, albeit after the 2025 TV schedule has expired. The Jonas Brothers will reprise their roles as Connect 3 band members alongside a cast full of "new campers". Check out this post from the JoBros on the set of the movie:

Joe Jonas previously hinted on himself and his brothers returning to Camp Rock back while they were on an episode of Hot Ones Versus together (which came out on August 12). When challenged to read his most recent Notes app entry or eat a "death wing", he responded by reading out loud "Read Camp Rock 3" before saying "Sorry, Disney!" While it wasn't completely clear if it was a bit at the time, now we know he was being completely candid. The movie comes following their return to Disney Channel for their upcoming Christmas movie, which is among 2025 movie releases for this holiday season.

In the upcoming sequel, Connect 3 will lose their opening act for a "major reunion tour" and decide to go back to Camp Rock to find "the next big thing" as their replacement. Camp Rock 3 has already started filming in Vancouver as of this week, with a new cast of young talent, and another familiar face. Wizards Of Waverly Place's Maria Canals-Barrera will also play Connie again, who is Mitchie's mom and the camp's cook.

Joyride's Sherry Cola will play a new character named Lark. Among the young leading cast will be Descendants actress Liamani Segura as a "bold and determined" talent named Sage, her brother Desi (played by newcomer Hudson Stone), along with a cello prodigy named Rosie (Lumi Pollack), a drummer named Cliff (Casey Trotter), Brooklynn Pitts as a "choreo queen" named Callie, an "intimidating influenced named Madison (Ava Jean) and the camp bad boy Fletch (Zombies 4 actor Malachi Brown).

But, Demi Lovato Is Not Expected To Play Mitchie Again

It's exciting news, there is one caveat, Camp Rock fans. While all the Jonas Brothers are confirmed to guest star and executive produce, Demi Lovato is apparently only coming back in EP capacity rather than reprising her role as Mitchie Torres. She posted about the news on her own Instagram story. Check it:

The announcement comes just about a month after Demi Lovato and the Jonas Brothers reunited to sing Camp Rock together during the JoBros first show of their current tour celebrating two decades as a band. I can't believe that they won't reunite in Camp Rock 3 after this happened:

Of course, just because a press release doesn't say Demi Lovato has been cast, it doesn't mean there could be surprises left for fans. Lovato has been embracing her Disney Channel past a lot more on social media lately.

I would also love to see Alyson Stoner reprise her role as Mitchie's bestie Caitlyn. I certainly hope more original stars aside from Jonas Brothers make an appearance at some point in the film, but seeing them back in Camp Rock will be amazing in of itself. It's also great see Lovato involved in a producer capacity, even though I wish she had a leading role.

Aside from being arguably one of the most recognizable actresses in the world, Sophie Turner is also a mother to two girls. Turner shares Willa (5) and Delphine (3) with former husband Joe Jonas. When she’s not parenting or working though, Turner is known to enjoy some downtime with friends, and she recently did just that when seeing an Oasis concert. Turner’s post about the event drew backlash, as a fan chided her for not being with her daughters. After that, the 29-year-old actress clapped back with thoughts.

Sophie Turner took to Instagram to post about the fun she’d had at the Oasis concert. The post – which included a carousel of photos – not only earned a large number of likes, but fans also took the comments to share positive comments. One user, however, took issue with the fact that Turner was away from her children. The commenter shaded the mother of two with the following comments:

It’s honestly unfortunate that someone would seemingly suggest that Turner is neglecting her children. While I’m not a parent myself, I’d imagine that it can be challenging for parents to find the time to hang out with friends. Based on the X-Men alum’s social media presence, it may be easy to get the impression that she manages to make time for herself when it’s warranted. Earlier this year, she posted photos from a bachelorette trip she attended for a friend’s nuptials. It feels like Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez have been friends forever. However, it’s actually been about 16 to 17 years (which might as well be forever). Over the last decade and change, the two performers have been bestie goals, and just recently, we got to see them together in images from Gomez’s birthday party. Now, the actress is opening up about how she and the pop star became BFFs, and it includes the Jonas Brothers, breakups and the hit song “Love Story.”

Selena Gomez was getting candid about friendships and the people in her life whom she can still call a friend. She ultimately quoted her pal Taylor Swift while discussing the topic on Jake Shane’s podcast Therapuss, saying “a friend to all, is a friend to none.” That led to the host asking how she met the pop star. And, well, we kind of have the Jonas Brothers to thank for the friends’ meet-cute, as she explained:

For reference, Joe and Swift dated for a few months in 2008, and so did Nick and Gomez. They were short-lived relationships, but everyone involved was (and still is) very famous, so there was a lot of attention on them.

Like Jake Shane was in the interview, I couldn’t help but be in shock and awe over the fact that Selena Gomez got to hear “Love Story” early. That’s seriously iconic. Also, I love how “vividly” she remembered it, too. I mean, she was witnessing musical history, so it makes sense.

I also imagine it was moments like that that really helped bond these two. Well, that and breakups, as she said:

All around, this whole story is legendary. I remember their relationships with the Jonas Brothers like they were yesterday. Ultimately, this entire tale goes to show just how long these two women have been friends and how strong their bond is. Truly, they are best friend goals.

We all know the Jonas Brothers fandom goes deep from their Disney days, and has only continued to grow. Nothing is seemingly off the table, from their recent announcement of returning to Disney via a Jonas Brothers Christmas movie to their respective love lives, including the split of Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. So it’s no surprise, amid recent divorce developments, that a video of an amped fan reacting to the two exes together has gone viral.

The widespread TikTok shows the Game of Thrones alum, Jonas Brothers musician and highly excited fan. Even though it’s just the pair walking down the opposite side of the street from user morgan_phelps7, her every fangirl spirit really comes through. In the caption, she admitted it was a creepy thing to share, but her younger self couldn’t help it, and they kept their distance. Check it out here:

For some, including the person in the video, the sighting feels on par with how thrilled some are for the coming Jonas Christmas flick (which will be available with a Disney+ account). Meanwhile, others expressed they weren’t into the stalker-like tendencies of the TikToker. Personally, I sit somewhere in the middle. I get letting your inner child live if you do catch a childhood fav in person, but also they are just people and deserve their privacy.

And that’s not even touching base on what they were actually up to. I wasn’t the only one mulling over what the two were up to. Commenters were fully debating why the two were together; some speculated about a rekindling, while others logically reasoned that the ex-couple share two daughters, and the sighting isn’t all that weird. I chalked it up to a Joe Jonas co-parenting with Sophie Turner scheduled meeting, but it’s amusing to skim through the discourse. JoBro fans certainly have a lot of thoughts when it comes to these two, and it remains to be seen who’s exactly right in this situation. But, my money is fully on the family matters portion of the debate. Though Turner hyping Jonas’s new album when it came out earlier does leave some room for stans hopes.

Regardless of all the speculation, both have been busy in their careers and each will have a 2025 movie calendar entry to offer their fans. The “Sucker” singer has the afformentioned festive return to Disney near the end of the year and the X-Men actress will be starring in the thriller, Trust, coming out later next month. Needless to say, Turner and Jonas will have plenty more for fans to speculate about whether it’s professional or personal.

Despite the presence of some streaming specials, we’re getting our first proper season of South Park since Season 26 ended in 2023. As the 2025 TV schedule is getting ready to bring the boys from Colorado back to us for even more outrageous antics, the classic Season 13 premiere “The Ring” has popped up in the news. The funny thing is, that’s because of Joe Jonas, one of the subjects of that very episode, showing his appreciation in a recent interview.

Sitting down with host/chef Josh Scherer on Mythical Kitchen’s Last Meals series, the middle Jonas Brother was asked about what sort of effect that 2009 installment had on the then Disney recording artists. Joe’s recollection says it all, as he shared this tale on how he seemed to be the outlier in the band:

Joe Jonas’ outlook on South Park’s satire on the brothers is akin to how most musical artists react when Weird Al Yankovic parodies one of their songs. Which definitely fits in with the sort of take-offs that Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s long-running comedy landmark is known for. “The Ring” came at the right time too, as not only were the Jonas Brothers a hot act, but their 2009 film Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience was in the pop consciousness as well. And as you’ll see in the clip below, the animated Joe Jonas’ scuffle with Mickey Mouse looks like something out of a Martin Scorsese movie:

Upon further reflection, Mr. Jonas and his host discussed the true target of South Park’s satirical blade themselves. Considering the middle Jonas' recent SNL appearance, one could even say that this episode may have helped encourage himself, and his brothers, to all branch out into comedic efforts in their own way. At least, that's what seems to be the case, as Joe also had this to say about his fictitious encounter with the Disney mascot:

While it may not make the list of South Park’s most outrageous episodes, “The Ring” is both an entertaining time capsule and a great example of the Comedy Central show’s humor. And clearly all must be forgiven with Boss Mickey, as The Jonas Brothers’ Disney+ Christmas movie is set to debut “later this year,” on that very streaming platform.

But if you’re ready to see whatever raunchy new antics Eric, Kyle, Stan, and Kenny are going to get up to, don’t forget that Season 27 will premiere on Comedy Central, starting July 9th. However, please note that those new episodes will be heading to Paramount+, after the rest of the South Park library migrates there after June 30th.

So it would seem that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner are among those who can work together as well, as it seems their kids’ development is a high priority for them.

It’s a lovely gesture, and it certainly comes at a key time in her ex-husband’s career. What’s unclear is whether the actress has actually heard the album for herself. Regardless, her sentiments accompany a number of positive reviews for the latest album from the Jonas Brothers alum.

The exact causes of Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s divorce are unclear though, shortly after the divorce was reported, sources dropped rumors on that front. It was alleged that Jonas filed because he and his wife had “very different lifestyles,” with him supposedly being a homebody and his then-wife purportedly being a partier. Those claims were not substantiated but, shortly after, both Jonas and Turner broke their silence, revealing they agreed to “amicably end” their marriage.

Despite that, the situation arguably became more complex after the X-Men alum sued her estranged husband for “wrongful retention” of their two daughters, Willa (4) and Delphine (2). The actress wanted the girls returned to England as opposed to being on tour with their father as agreed upon. In time, the pair eventually took part in eight-hour mediation sessions to determine the details of their divorce and custody of their kids. By March 2024, the couple reached a temporary custody agreement, with their divorce being made official months later.

Since the divorce, the former spouses have since moved on, both personally and professionally. Sophie Turner began dating again, as she was in a relationship with Peregrine Pearson, who she dated from 2023 to 2025. More recently, Turner dazzled in a blue bikini during a bachelorette trip. All the while, Joe Jonas has continued to work on his music.

I’d be lying if I said I expected Sophie Turner to shout out Joe Jonas as his new album becomes available. However, I’m not mad at any of that at all and, quite frankly, it’s refreshing to see a star give kudos to their ex in such a way. Morgan Wallen went viral this weekend following his latest appearance as musical guest on SNL. The country singer turned more than a few heads when, at the end of the episode, he abruptly left the stage and didn’t embrace the cast and crew amid the weekly goodbyes. On top of that, shortly after he exited Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, he shared a pic of his private jet to his Instagram stories and captioned it “Get me to God’s country”. Following all of that, it now seems Wallen also passed on appearing in a sketch for that episode.

An insider alleges that the Tennessee native was approached about appearing in one of the pre-taped segments that appeared on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live. The sketch in question is “Big Dumb Line,” which features singer and musician Joe Jonas. If Page Six’s source is to be believed, Jonas had to be brought in as a replacement for Morgan Wallen after he turned down the opportunity:

The source didn’t give a specific reason for the 31-year-old singer’s decision not to join the sketch, which also featured cast members Ego Nwodim, Bowen Yang, Sarah Sherman and Chloe Fineman along with host Mikey Madison. While speaking with the aforementioned news outlet, the unnamed person all alleged that the “Up Down” singer was “not super friendly” while on set. However, he “did what he was asked” by performing on the show. As of this writing, the guitarist’s team has yet to respond to these claims.

As for the musical sketch itself, it pokes fun at the notion of waiting in long lines in New York City. The previously mentioned SNL cast members and guest host lament the notion of waiting such a long time. Joe Jonas serves as a guiding light of sorts to them and encourages them not to lose hope. Morgan Wallen’s walk-off has been heavily analyzed, with many believing he was throwing shade at the cast and crew of Saturday Night Live. Before the weekend was out, sources from Wallen’s camp claimed he didn’t mean to insult anyone. They say the reason he walked off the way he did was because he’d entered and exited the studio that way all week and also didn’t think about the fact that he’d be seen doing that on camera.

Even before this televised snafu, the Billboard Music Award winner had a complex history with the storied sketch comedy show. During the COVID era of shows in 2020, he was tapped to perform but, after he was photographed breaking pandemic protocols, he was bumped from the broadcast. The singer eventually apologized and, just a few months later, SNL asked him once more to perform once more. Ironically, at that point, Wallen did participate in a sketch, and it poked fun at his protocol-related brouhaha.

It’s been intriguing to see the information that’s hit the web since Morgan Wallen walked off stage last weekend. At this point, I can’t help but wonder whether there are more key details that have yet to be divulged. That aside, what we don’t have to speculate about is what lies ahead for SNL. This week’s episode, which will air on April 5 at 11:30 p.m. ET amid the 2025 TV schedule, will see Jack Black host, while Elton John and Brandi Carlile serve as musical guests.

The holiday season may be almost a full year away, but it’s never too early to start planning. If you have a Disney+ subscription, then you can already plan what you’ll be watching come next Christmas, as the Jonas Brothers are coming “home” to Disney with an all-new Christmas movie later this year, and they announced it in the perfect way.

The Jonas Brothers, Kevin Joe, and Nick got their start as a trio on Disney’s Hollywood Records label and became superstars following regular appearances on Disney Channel via various TV series and movies. The brothers have largely been working on solo careers for years, but today Disney+ announced The Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie, a working title for a new original film starring all three of them, and the Jonas Brothers evoked Christmas classic Love, Actually making the announcement.

It’s an excellent little promo. The gag of having youngest brother Joe accidentally screw up the first take is pretty on par for the sort of humor we would get from previous Jonas Brothers productions The reveal of the Disney+ connection, assuming you didn’t know it was coming, would certainly be a huge deal for some fans. The Jonas Brothers coming together for a movie is a big deal, doing it with Disney, where they got their start, is perfect.

The Jonas Brothers Christmas Movie will star the brothers as themselves, or possibly fictionalized versions of themselves, as they once played on TV, who “ face a series of escalating obstacles as they struggle to make it from London to New York in time to spend Christmas with their families.” It’s a simple enough premise, but fans of the Jonas Brothers, especially those who became fans during their time with Disney, are probably going to be more than happy. The setup allows for plenty of comedy and plenty of music, and seriously, what else do you need?

The Jonas Brothers came about during the same era of Disney Channel programming that gave the world Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez, and more who would use the Disney platform to build success, and then go on to do even bigger things.

The Jonas Brothers are the latest of the crowd to return to the fold. Miley Cyrus released the Disney+ music special Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) in 2023 and was named a Disney Legend in 2024. Selena Gomez executive produces and appears in Wizards Beyond Waverly Place the sequel series to her original star vehicle.

The Jonas Brothers haven’t appeared in a film for Disney since Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam back in 2010, one of the best Disney Channel musicals. Perhaps, if this Christmas movie is a success, we can finally get the Camp Rock 3 we need we've been denied.

In fact, when one Joe Jonas fan shared her “plan” to capture the singer’s heart in a viral post, it made its way to the man himself.

Now, as Combs is hit with more lawsuits, Joe Jonas is seemingly phasing out Diddy’s name from his song lyrics.

How Did Joe Jonas Handle A Song That Features P. Diddy’s Name?

The 35-year-old frontman is currently on tour with the Jonas Brothers, who recently stopped in Paris, France. During the set, the group performed the hit track “Cake by the Ocean,” from Joe’s other pop band, DCNE. The song features a lyric from Joe that goes “Walk for me, baby / I’ll be Diddy, you’ll be Naomi, woah-oh.” Said verse references Sean Combs’ past relationship with model Naomi Campbell. However, in concert footage shared to TikTok by a fan, Joe seems to gloss over those words. Check it out:

Joe Jonas isn’t the first artist who’s sought to dissociate Diddy from their own music. Weeks ago, pop singer Kesha changed the famous first line of her hit single “Tik Tok.” The verse originally went “Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy,” but the singer changed it to “Wake up in the morning like 'fuck P Diddy,’” during her recent live performances. As of this writing, Jonas hasn’t said anything specific about his decision to make his own alteration.

While it’s unclear whether the “See No More” singer himself has ever been a true colleague of Sean Combs, it would seem that his famous friends are seeking to distance themselves from him now. A public relations expert explained that stars are steering clear of Diddy talk as not to bring attention to themselves. Changing song lyrics is different from discussing the 54-year-old’s legal issues, but such a method arguably still creates separation. The legal matter itself is still evolving, as evidenced by the latest development announced this week.

How Sean Combs’ Legal Problems Seem To Have Taken A Major Turn

On Tuesday, a press conference was held, during which Houston-based lawyer Tony Buzbee spoke out about lawsuits that P. Diddy is now facing. Buzbee explained that he’s representing 120 individuals who are filing civil lawsuits against the “Been Around the World” performer. According to Page Six, the host of allegations span three decades and as, part of those, Sean Combs has been accused of sexually assaulting 25 minors, including a 9-year-old.

A 14-page indictment revealed that Diddy is facing a number of charges such as racketeering and sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution. Another major topic within that brief are the alleged “freak offs” that the Grammy winner would hold. Those events would allegedly involve women being coerced into performing sexual activities that would be recorded. A former PR official that worked with the mogul recently said she used to exercise caution when it came to Diddy’s parties.

The federal raids on the Sean John founder’s homes, which took place in March, have also been widely discussed. Just recently, it was reported that 1,000 bottles of lubricant were seized during those searches. Diddy’s lawyer spoke out on the lubricant, denying that notion that so much was found but also opining that his client “buys in bulk.”

What results from the impending lawsuits – on already established filings – against Sean Combs remains to be seen. All the while, it’s unclear whether other artists will follow Joe Jonas and Kesha’s leads in removing any kind of Diddy connections from their work.

While one source allegedly told the outlet things were getting romantic, the story noted that another “well-placed source was quick to dispel any rumors of hanky-panky.” So, for now, it would appear that the 61-year-old actress and 31-year-old singer are simply friends. 

Joe Jonas also reportedly knows Moore’s manager Jason Weinberg and her stylist Brad Goreski, so there are a lot of invisible strings seemingly tying time together. 

This news comes a few days after it was reported, via ET, that Joe Jonas and Stormi Bree had broken up after dating for about six months. While no romance was confirmed between him and Moore, it has been affirmed that the singer is now single again. So, take everything with a grain of salt. 

Over the last few months, it’s been reported that Joe’s ex-wife Sophie Turner has been seeing Peregrine Pearson, who is the heir of the 4th Viscount Cowdray. As for the Devotion actor, he was linked to Stormi Bree.

Per reports, Joe Jonas filed, in Florida, to end his marriage to the X-Men star, who he tied the knot with in 2019. Insiders subsequently alleged that his decision to split from his partner was “not easy” for him. They also claimed that Jonas supposedly wanted to split due to stark differences in their lifestyles.

The case became a bit more complex in late September, as Sophie Turner sued Jonas for wrongful retention of their kids. The English actress specifically accused him of withholding their daughters’ passports. The singer’s rep eventually responded to Turner’s filing and, among the sentiments shared, they claimed the Game of Thrones alum was only making “abduction” claims to get the case moved to the U.S.

The couple haven’t said much publicly about their divorce since making their initial joint statement. Netflix subscription holders who’ve watched Bridgerton’s two seasons know it’s full of royal romance and spicy drama. For example, the first set of episodes focus on the romance between Daphne Briderton and the Duke of Hastings. Their fictional journey to the altar captured the attention of various viewers in 2020 – and for good reason. Of course, it’s far too early to tell whether such a path lies ahead for the Do Revenge star and the nobleman.

During this time, the Sansa Stark actress received support from good friend Taylor Swift, who has treated her to more than spaghetti dinners. Swift is also housing the actress at her apartment. One of the members of the Jonas Brothers’ musical entourage is percussionist Molly Lopresti, who was the lucky person to tie the knot during the group’s performance in Anaheim on Sunday. In the TikTok video captured by user recessionobsession, Joe addressed the crowd and recalled recruiting Lopresti to join the band. He specifically remembered her saying that she wanted to be with them on tour but couldn’t because she was planning to marry her fiancée, Nick Sherm. Joe recalled having a conversation with his brothers to see if they could figure something out. Luckily, the “Cake by the Ocean” singer is an ordained minister and, with that, it was decided that he would marry them during a show.

On that note, during the Anaheim performance, he called upon Nick Shirm to approach the stage, and his percussionist fiancée would soon join him. They eventually exchanged vows and signified their union with a first dance set to the Jonas siblings’’ hit song “When You Look Me in the Eyes.” It was a lovely sight to behold, and you can see it in the video down below:

I can’t think of a more exciting way to tie the knot than in the middle of a massive concert. Should insiders be believed, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner have had a rocky road on the legal front. Jonas was reportedly the one who filed for the divorce and, per sources, the decision was “not easy” for the singer. However, the matter took a surprising turn when Turner sued her estranged husband for “wrongful retention,” involving their two young daughters. Weeks ago, the two spent eight hours in a meditation session, where they attempted to forge a custody agreement. They eventually landed a temporary solution. 

For his part, Joe Jonas seemed to nod at the divorce chatter during a concert, telling fans not to believe anything they hear unless it comes directly from him. Jonas also seemed to reference the legal issues in a social media post, in which he said he was “at the right place at the right time doing the right thing.” While it’s hard to say what exactly he was referring to in that matter, he was definitely in the perfect position to marry Molly Lopresti and Nick Sherm. Superhero movies have been a constant in the world of modern Hollywood, and the genre reached its peak popularity with the explosion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With such a storied history, there are obviously going to be stories of actors who didn’t make the cut. But believe us when we tell you the actors on this list who almost played major superhero roles are quite the collection of characters.

Burt Reynolds - Superman - Superman (1977)

A bunch of big name actors turned down the role of Clark Kent/Superman when it came time to make 1977’s Superman feature film. Among those who skipped this early era of cape action is the legendary Burt Reynolds. The decision seemed to work out in the end, as that same year saw Smokey and the Bandit become one of his most iconic hits.

Demi Moore - Supergirl - Supergirl (1984)

Early in her career, Demi Moore had a chance to become a part of the Superman franchise. She auditioned alongside Brooke Shields for the lead in Supergirl, though Helen Slater would eventually win the part. Moore then almost played the supporting role of Lucy Lane but passed, as she was about to go from being on General Hospital to starring in the Brat Pack era of films, including About Last Night…

Pierce Brosnan - Batman - Batman (1989)

There are quite a few actors that have done the dance of fate with both superhero movies and the James Bond movies. One of the most surprising, besides Burt Reynolds turning down 007, was Pierce Brosnan testing for Tim Burton’s Batman. Brosnan admitted he blew it, especially since he criticized the wardrobe choices of Bruce Wayne’s darker alter-ego.

Annette Bening - Catwoman - Batman Returns (1992)

Annette Bening was almost Catwoman, believe it or not. The original choice for that role in Batman Returns, Bening seemed set to be a part of the film. That is until the actress found out she was pregnant and had to bow out of the part. It’s ok though, as Burton found a more than willing successor in Michelle Pfieffer, who practically signed on after reading half of the script. 

Marlon Wayans - Robin - Batman Returns (1992)

Marlon Wayans is the Bobby Bonilla of the superhero movie world. Just as Bobby continues to be paid not to play for the Mets, Wayans still gets royalties for not playing Robin in Batman Returns. Due to the roster of characters in Tim Burton’s 1992 sequel being trimmed, Wayans never took flight as the hero.

Dougray Scott - Wolverine - X-Men (2000)

Out of the 13 actors that almost played Wolverine in X-Men, Dougray Scott was the one that got the closest. Scott was actually cast in the iconic pre-MCU film and was so close to getting to pop those Adamantium claws. If he hadn’t suffered injuries and scheduling conflicts from the tail end of Mission: Impossible II, we would've seen different Logan in action. 

Rachel Leigh Cook - Rogue - X-Men (2000)

Brace yourself for a weird loop of coincidence. She’s All That star Rachel Leigh Cook turned down the role of Rogue in 2000’s X-Men. Who did the role end up going to? Academy Award winner Anna Paquin… the actor who gave Cook's character that memorable makeover in the aforementioned teen comedy. Maybe Paquin has some mutant career powers that nobody’s ever noticed before. As for Cook, she eventually admitted that she totally blew it by passing on this classic adventure.

Leonardo DiCaprio - Spider-Man - Spider-Man (2002)

James Cameron’s unmade Spider-Man movie would have gone in some wild directions. Perhaps what fans discuss most is the fact that if he were to have made the movie, Leonardo DiCaprio would have been his Peter Parker! While that’s not the most shocking aspect, especially if you’ve actually read the script, it’s certainly something that feels pretty interesting considering where Cameron and DiCaprio’s careers would go after that point. 

Kate Winslet - Elektra - Daredevil (2003)

There was a wide net cast when looking to fill the role of Elektra in 2003’s Daredevil. Lucy Liu, Salma Hayek and even Katie Holmes were all considered; as was Titanic alum Kate Winslet. Considering her co-star Leonardo DiCaprio almost played Spider-Man for James Cameron, could Winslet have also been considered for Mary Jane Watson had that movie gotten off the ground? 

Ashley Judd - Catwoman - Catwoman (2004)

Development hell can wreck a movie before it ever shoots a single frame. Michelle Pfieffer's intended Catwoman spinoff, for example, eventually mutated into a standalone film. And somewhere in-between Pfieffer’s variant being iced and Halle Berry’s infamous final product being made, Ashley Judd was meant to play the character in the early aughts. According to the Daily Haggis, Judd dropped out in favor of a stage play; which was probably the better move.

Cillian Murphy - Batman - Batman Begins (2005)

Beginning his stint as one of the actors in the most Christopher Nolan movies, Cillian Murphy played Scarecrow in Batman Begins and was a menacing presence to behold. And yet, the Irish actor initially tried out for the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman; going as far as doing screen tests in and out of the Batsuit. While it was admitted that he wasn’t a good fit for the lead role, Nolan did use Murphy’s audition to cast him as Dr. Jonathan Crane; and the rest was history.

Tom Cruise - Iron Man - Iron Man (2008)

You knew this was coming. When the MCU fired up its arc reactor in 2008, Robert Downey Jr. was there front and center to make Iron Man a mega hit. Of course, the studio needed to be convinced that Downey was the way to go, as there were powers that be who wanted the Mission: Impossible daredevil as the lead. Cruise turned down the part, while at the same time the Tony Stark we knew and loved had enough people in his corner to make it happen. 

Emily Blunt - Black Widow - Iron Man 2 (2010)

It’s time to revisit one of the cruelest villains ever: contractual obligations! Back when Iron Man 2 was getting into gear, the then up-and-coming Emily Blunt was offered the role of Natalie Rushman… who was eventually revealed to be Natasha Romanova, the Black Widow. Unfortunately, this was the first of Blunt’s two Marvel passes; with this part going to Scarlett Johansson after Emily had to fulfill her obligation to star in 2010’s Gulliver’s Travels. 

Daniel Craig - Baldur The Brave - Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)

The worlds of James Bond and superhero culture have collided before, thanks to Daniel Craig’s rumored Thor casting being debunked. What isn’t as sketchy is the claim that Craig almost played Baldur the Brave in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. And if you need anyone to further firm up this claim, just ask Elizabeth Olsen, who actually saw Craig’s costume after it was designed.

Joe Jonas - Spider-Man - The Amazing Spider-Man (2011)

One of the greatest heartbreaks in Joe Jonas’ career as an actor is still that time he almost landed the lead role in The Amazing Spider-Man. Jonas recalled his Marvel auditions as well as the tragic turn the situation took when Andrew Garfield landed the role, and it’s hard not to feel for the dude. Morena Baccarin - Maria Hill - The Avengers (2012)

Joss Whedon sure does have a deep bench of talent he loves to pull from. Firefly alum Morena Baccarin knows that fact, as she auditioned for The Avengers to play the role of Maria Hill. Though she stayed in the extended MCU family through Deadpool, Baccarin admitted she tanked the audition because she didn’t get Hill’s character on the page.

Jamie Dornan - Superman - Man of Steel (2013)

Mr. Kent will see you now. If history shook out a bit differently, maybe Henry Cavill would've played the lead in Fifty Shades of Grey, and Jamie Dornan would have been the Man of Steel lead that kicked off the DC Extended Universe. But that’s not the multiverse we live in, as we’re now wondering if these two will be competing for another massive pop culture role: that of James Bond.

Amanda Seyfried - Gamora - Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)

Back in the days of her docu-series Lindsay, this Mouse House graduate thought her manager cost her a role in an Avengers movie. Well, if the timing of that 2014 project was any indication, the whispers of Lindsay Lohan being up for the part of Scarlet Witch just may have been true. 

Olga Kurylenko - Wonder Woman - Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

If there are two stars that need to be interviewed together about their careers, it’s Gal Gadot and Olga Kurylenko. Apparently, they both competed for lead roles in Quantum of Solace and Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice; with Kurylenko ultimately getting the Bond experience and Gadot snagging the Lasso of Truth.

Asa Butterfield - Spider-Man - Captain America: Civil War (2016)

Remember that time the world was convinced Asa Butterfield was the new Spider-Man? It happened, and the Sex Education lead apparently did test for the role in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War. Though his bid was unsuccessful, it’s hard not to admit he’d have made a good candidate had Tom Holland not eventually landed the role.

Apparently, the world has Fox’s now defunct shriek-com Scream Queens for taking Emma Roberts away from Suicide Squad. Roberts chose that TV gig over becoming the living embodiment of mayhem, leaving the role wide open for Margot Robbie to accept, and own, the role of Harley Quinn for years to come.

Josh Brolin - Batman - Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016)

Ben Affleck had some stiff competition for Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice’s Caped Crusader; and Josh Brolin was one of those competitors. But just as those hopes of Bryan Cranston as Lex Luthor and Timothy Dalton as Alfred didn’t pan out, Brolin lost the gig. With that, another major "what if" casting scenario was created.

Ryan Gosling - Doctor Strange - Doctor Strange (2016)

Yes, it’s true: Ryan Gosling took a meeting back in the Phase Three days of the MCU. The Mickey Mouse Club alum was considered to play Dr. Steven Strange himself. It’s hard to tell which missed opportunity is the more intriguing what if: this, or Gosling’s failed attempt to make a Haunted Mansion movie with Guillermo del Toro.

DeWanda Wise - Maria Rambeau - Captain Marvel (2019)

Getting cast in a superhero movie like Captain Marvel, only to have to bow out, has to be a painful feeling. DeWanda Wise is another case of such history in action, as she was supposed to play Maria Rambeau opposite Brie Larson’s Carol Danvers. But then, commitments to Season 2 of Netflix’s She’s Gotta Have It forced Wise to exit, with Lashana Lynch taking her place shortly after.

Sean Young - Catwoman - Batman Returns (1992)

Sean Young really wanted to be Catwoman in Batman Returns. No, seriously, the Blade Runner actor had such a desire to be cast in the role, that details reported via CBR saw a Warner Bros exec talking about how she burst into his office, in a Catwoman costume of her own design, to try and impress him and Michael Keaton. Needless to say, it didn’t work.

David Duchovny - Batman - Batman & Robin (1997)

There was a bit of a holding pattern between the success of Batman Forever and the accelerated timeline to make Batman & Robin. In that chaos, Val Kilmer exited the role, and a new Bats needed to be found. The X-Files' David Duchovny was one of the candidates considered, but the spooky man lost out on the role to George Clooney. A fate that Mr. Clooney still apologizes for, to this very day.

Armie Hammer - Batman - Justice League: Mortal (2007)

Tax rebates! That’s what caused the cancellation of George Miller’s Justice League: Mortal, which was pretty far along in pre-production for a movie to be given the axe. With Armie Hammer cast as Batman for this big blockbuster, the Caped Crusader scored yet another intriguing “what if…” when the curtain fell.

Anne Hathaway - Black Cat - Spider-Man 4 (2011)

If Spider-Man 4 had actually happened, it could have been a hell of a sight. With folks like John Malkovich cast, the next intended Sam Raimi-helmed movie could have been a return to the heights of Spider-Man 2. And in that pocket of alternate reality, Anne Hathaway probably didn’t play Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises, as she would have played a feline of a different stripe: Felicia Hardy herself, Black Cat. 

Christina Aguilera - Invisible Woman - Fantastic Four (2005)

Prepare for quite possibly the most bizarro alternative casting on this list. Amid development on 2005's Fantastic Four, Sean Astin himself wanted to direct the First Family of Superheroes. And as Astin revealed to Collider, he wanted Christina Aguilera to play Sue Storm a.k.a. the Invisible Woman. There’s got to be a “Genie In A Bottle” joke here somewhere, but we just can’t see it.

As you can see, the world of alternate comic castings has led to some stranger than-fiction-possibilities, near misses and truly heartbreaking passes. You can bet that so long as Marvel, DC, and any other comic company is keeping the pedal to the medal to make more superhero movies, there will be even more of these tales to come along in the years to come.

Over a month ago, the public was met with the news that Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner were heading for divorce. The two still find themselves in the midst of proceedings, which not only included Jonas’ original filing but also a lawsuit filed by Turner on the grounds of alleged “wrongful retention” of their kids. On that note, they’ve since agreed to a temporary custody arrangement. Neither of the ex-spouses has opened up about their split in detail since they jointly broke their silence on the matter in September. Jonas, however, did seem to nod at the rumors during a concert, and fans now think he alluded to his legal issues again in a cryptic social media post. 

34-year-old Joe Jonas shared an image (which has since timed out) to his Instagram story this week, which showed him standing in front of a mirror. The photo, which was captured by Access, also reveals a message written on the mirror, and that’s what seems to have caused the gears of speculation to churn. The statement reads as follows: 

Although this doesn’t necessarily mean the Jonas Brothers frontman is referring to his divorce and/or relationship status, this is interesting. And of course, that’s also a very pointed message that admittedly feels somewhat timely. Chances are the “Sucker” singer won’t provide any further context, considering he’s been mostly mum on his personal affairs as of late. Regardless of that though, it’s probably fair to assume that the chatter amongst fans will continue now that he’s shared that post. 

Joe Jonas went viral on TikTok a month ago after he appeared to address the rumors surrounding the divorce. In the middle of a show, he mentioned he’d had a “crazy week” and stressed to the audience that “if you don’t hear it from these lips, don’t believe it.” He also thanked attendees for the “love and support” they’d sent his family up to that point. 

The singer and his estranged wife began dating in 2016 and became engaged by 2017. The A-listers tied the knot in Las Vegas in 2019 and held a more formal ceremony in Paris, France a month later. The stars have two daughters, one born in July 2020 and another in July 2022. In regard to their divorce, sources claim the Disney Channel alum wanted to end the marriage due to supposed differences between his and his partner’s lifestyles. Some also say the decision was “not easy” for him.

As Joe Jonas continues to navigate the circumstances, Sophie Turner is doing the same. She’s currently staying at an apartment owned by good friend Taylor Swift as she sorts through the legal process. Swift has since treated her to spaghetti dinners as well as other public outings. Seemingly, Turner also sent her own message to Jonas amid the divorce when she posted a photo of a bracelet that read “fearless.” There’s certainly much that can be gleaned from the sentiments both Jonas and Turner have shared as of late. But ultimately, only they (and those in their personal orbit) truly know what’s what.

Over the course of three days of mediation, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner continued to work through their divorce. The big issue in this couple’s separation concerns the custody of their two young children – who are 1 and 3 years old – rather than their assets. Since there was a prenup in place, said assets reportedly were not hard to work though, and most of the talk has been surrounding custody, now it seems like the former couple is close to a settlement. 

When Joe Jonas filed for divorce from Sophie Turner their disagreement regarding the custody of their children became the primary point of tension. However, according to TMZ, there are new settlement documents that state: “an amicable resolution on all issues between them is forthcoming.”

As they continue to work through and hopefully finalize their divorce, it’s been reported that the former couple came to a temporary custody agreement. Apparently, Turner will have their kids from October 9 through October 21, and she will be allowed to travel back to the UK with them.

After October 21, Joe Jonas will take the kids, and he will reportedly have them until November 2, then Turner will have them through November 22. When it comes to the holidays they seem to have reached an agreement as well. The report explained that the Jonas Brother will reportedly get the children for Thanksgiving, while the Game of Thrones alum will have them for Christmas and New Year's (specifically December 16 through January 7). 

This report that the duo's divorce could be settled soon comes after they spent three days in mediation working through their separation. 

It’s vital to note that early on in this divorce it was reported that Sophie Turner wanted to move their kids to England, and Joe Jonas was apparently refusing to give her their passports. The Staircase actress sued her ex, and the main point of it was “[to secure] the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained.” However, the singer’s rep quickly released a response to those claims explaining that if the singer were to hand over the passports it would be “in violation of the Florida Court order,” which is where the divorce was filed.

Since Jonas filed for divorce, both parents have been seen out and about with their kids on separate occasions. Turner has been staying in New York at Taylor Swift’s apartment as the divorce gets worked out. Meanwhile, the singer has been on tour with the Jonas Brothers, and traveling back and forth to NYC. 

While the last few months have seemed messy, it would appear that mediation has helped the couple, and they are close to an agreement. The report ended by claiming that a settlement should be coming soon. 

It would seem that a finalized settlement is in Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s near future. Their assets are reportedly handled since there was a prenup in place, and it would seem that a custody agreement is in sight. As more news comes out about the former couple’s separation, we’ll be sure to keep you posted. 

2023 has been filled with high-profile celebrity splits and, just over a month ago, Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas joined their ranks. Page Six captured the since-deleted post, which showed the actress sporting a bracelet that read “fearless.” 

There are likely at least two major elements Swifties noticed in the social media post. One is that Sophie Turner’s chosen accessory is on brand for what’s transpired as of late because, during the Grammy winner’s Eras Tour, fans exchanged friendship bracelets. The second, though, is that the text on her armlet is also the title of the songstress’ 2008 album, Fearless, and the single of the same name. The track paints a picture of the perfect date while also emphasizing one’s willingness to fall in love and deal with the trials that result from that. So with all that in mind, it’s hard not to get the sense that Turner is somewhat commenting on her own personal status. 

Whether that’s actually the case can’t be stated with certainty, of course. However, it would seem fans are loving the star’s message regardless. One particular social media user took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to laud the Do Revenge star for the seemingly “passive aggressive” vibes her post gave off. It may not always be easy to get in the good graces of Swifties but, when you do, they seem to show up and show out for a person.

Weeks later, it was revealed in court documents that the Joan actress had opted to sue Jonas over custody of their kids. Both girls had reportedly been with the Jonas Brothers frontman for a while while he was on tour, and their mother filed suit against him on the grounds of “wrongful retention.”

The custody battle is still ongoing and, in the meantime, Sophie Turner has apparently found comfort with Taylor Swift. Aside from sheltering Turner at her apartment, Swift has also been treating her to dinners. It would seem the actress does indeed have the support of her friend and, after her “fearless” post she may have Swifties’ hearts as well. 

The split between celebs Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas has been headline news for just about one month. But while some separations take years to complete, this one is moving at lightning speed. The couple is already working on the terms of their divorce and child custody via mediation, which resulted in the pair spending eight hours in a room together. And that will apparently be the case for the next three days. 

Wednesday was day one of a scheduled four-day mediation in which the couple will work out the terms of their divorce and custody of the two children. Page Six caught Turner leaving the building and called her look “exhausted” which is honestly to be expected. Spending an entire day dealing with heavy issues like this, which will have significant future repercussions, has to be tough. And the fact that they’ll be doing this for three more days, we can expect both parties to be mentally drained.

Joe Jonas is asking for 50/50 custody, which would require the kids to spend half their time in the U.S. and half their time in the U.K. as Turner wanted the family to live in England. Jonas is reportedly okay with the kids splitting their time between the two countries, but it’s unclear if such an arrangement would be acceptable to Turner.

Anonymous reports have claimed that Jonas and Turner have very different lifestyles, which is one of the major reasons the couple made the decision to split. However, by all reports, both the celebs are putting the children first and are looking to do what is best for them. Of course, what's less clear is if they both have the same understanding of what that means.

The home for the children has already been a contentious issue, as Jonas had the children with him when he officially filed for divorce in the U.S. Turner has filed a lawsuit against her husband over that, as she had asked the children be returned to the U.K. The couple has currently agreed to reside in New York while the mediation proceedings continue. Turner is currently staying with the children in an apartment owned by friend Taylor Swift.

We’ve seen child custody issues cause divorce proceedings to stretch on for quite some time. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are still dealing with the terms of their divorce years after they were legally separated and custody has been one the primary factors that has delayed the conclusion of the divorce.

An official court date has been set for January 2, but if mediation goes well and the couple is able to come to agreements on whatever the outstanding issues are, it’s possible the divorce and custody could be handled before things ever get there. We’ll have to wait and see where things stand at the end of this mediation period. 

It has become clear that Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ divorce is complex. It has also become apparent during it, that the actress is tight with Taylor Swift, and the pop star is doing a lot to help her friend out. The statement from Joe Jonas' representative, published by ET Canada, fired back at the lawsuit filed by Sophie Turner. It started by saying that after multiple conversations, the singer “initiated” the divorce in Florida:

Sophie Turner is said to have filed a lawsuit within a Manhattan court on September 21, according to Page Six, with this as the main thrust of the suit:

The actress is aiming to get the court to side with her concerning their daughters being returned to England, instead of remaining on tour with Jonas as it was reportedly agreed upon previously. Turner stated that the “wrongful retention” began the day prior, on September 20, claiming the musician is refusing to follow with their prior plans to have the two kids moving to England. She also claims he is in possession of the pair’s passports, and is refusing to send them along as well.

The argument here stems from an agreement the two celebs apparently made around Christmas 2022, with England set to be their “forever home,” as it’s stated in the legal docs, with the idea that older daughter Willa would begin schooling there as well. The former couple did indeed line up a dream home in the UK, making the big move in April 2023. 

At that point, however, Sophie Turner began filming the miniseries Joan — which is already the subject of potential awards attention — with the production going from London to Birmingham to the West Midlands and beyond. That project coincided with the Jonas Brothers’ latest U.S. tour, where he has apparently made some lyric changes to reflect his personal struggles. It was agreed that because he was able to spend more time with the young girls during the day, whereas Turner would be spending much of her time on sets and location shoots, that they would travel with him.

While speaking with TMZ, the unnamed individual also stated that the Jonas Brothers member hasn’t been wearing his wedding ring as of late. The singer has purportedly contacted at least a couple of Los Angeles-based attorneys in order to take steps towards ending his marriage to the Game of Thrones alum. 

Per the source, there was also another sign that the couple were on the rocks. They made note of the fact that the two sold their Miami-based mansion just last month for $15 million. That move apparently came off as somewhat surprising since the stars had only purchased it just a year ago. 

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas were first rumored to be dating back in 2016, and those reports were initially proven true. By 2017, Jonas and Turner became engaged and ultimately got married in Las Vegas in May 2019. They eventually held a second wedding in Paris, France the following month. In the years since, the two have commemorated their anniversary in sweet ways, with Turner marking two years with some lovely throwback pics from the Vegas ceremony.

They’ve since had two daughters, the first of which was born in July 2020 and the second in July 2022. The two have mostly been mum when it comes to the specifics of their marriage but, on rare occasions, they would drop lovely details related to their union. Last year, the Sansa Stark actress, for instance, opened up about having a second baby with her hubby and how it helped her forge a new chapter after Game of Thrones. The “See No More” singer has had delightful tidbits to share about his wife as well, including her insistence that he watch all of the Harry Potter movies.

The veteran frontman has also opened up about the professional support he’s received from his wife. In 2022, Joe Jonas discussed how she helped him audition for Devotion, the historical drama starring Jonathan Majors and Glen Powell. He called his spouse his “toughest critic” but also “a great acting coach” to have in his corner.

Joe Jonas is currently still touring with his siblings and allegedly has his and Sophie Turner’s two daughters with him. The source says he’s had the kids in two for the past three months, though no specific reason was given for that alleged arrangement. The public can only wait and see whether Turner and Jonas choose to release a statement regarding this news of an alleged divorce.

Everybody poops. We know this. There’s even a children’s book to that effect. But just because it’s a necessary part of life, that doesn’t make it any more pleasant, and it’s definitely a deed that is best kept private, whenever possible. It turns out, though, that sometimes it’s just not possible, and Joe Jonas admitted recently to letting out “a little something extra” (No!) while he was wearing white pants (NO!) in the middle of a concert. And I am cringing so hard thinking about what he was feeling in that moment.

Talk about leaving it all on the stage. Performers put a lot into their concerts — hitting the right notes, remembering their lyrics, executing choreography, etc. It’s likely not an easy job on a good night, so I can’t imagine what it must be like when you’re not feeling well physically. It’s not like you can cancel the show over a gurgly stomach, and Joe Jonas regaled fans with a story of what happened one night when he simply thought he was expending a little gas. The Jonas Brother told Will & Woody: 

Thanks for the clarification! I have to admit, I laughed at “mid-wardrobe shit change,” but the fact that he was wearing white pants at the time almost makes it too much. I’m in no way shit-shaming him, either, but I just can’t imagine how uncomfortable in every way Joe Jonas must have been when that happened. He had all those fans watching his every move, screaming for him, and he just had to continue on like nothing happened? The singer continued:

Apparently it wasn’t as bad as he thought, and the crowd was likely unaware that anything was amiss in Joe Jonas’ pants. And it turns out he’s right about it happening to other performers. Ed Sheeran copped to having the same experience during a 2015 concert, saying (via E! News) that he "misjudged a fart on stage, which ended up being a shart." The same goes for Chris Brown, who admitted to MTV in 2011 that he once “sharted” during a show and recalled he could feel it “running down my leg.” 

Several celebrities, in fact, have come out with their own shit stories, including Jennifer Lawrence, Al Roker and Kelly Clarkson, not to mention the infamous poop incident that was discussed at length during the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial last year. I guess Joe Jonas really is part of a secret club, although I have to say, they’re not doing a great job at the “secret” part.  

The Jonas Brothers have officially been back together again for a little while now and, during this period in their careers, they've been sharing even more insight into their bond. One topic of discussion that's been touched on is how competitive they can be with one another. It’s no secret that the trio have been able to branch off and do their own things at certain points. And for a certain sibling, one of those side ventures was a coaching stint on The Voice. Nick Jonas was on the NBC singing competition for Seasons 18 and 20 but, apparently, Joe Jonas also was up for the gig. And as Joe recently explained, after he didn't get it, he cried and dropped an f-bomb while at  a Fleetwood Mac concert.

The siblings were guests on the Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard podcast, where they opened up about their careers and families. At one point, Nick and Joe Jonas spoke about how they were both auditioned for the same role in Wicked, which then led to Joe admitting that he was at a Fleetwood Mac concert when he heard that he lost The Voice coaching  job to his own brother. And if that weren't enough, the news hit him while the band was playing one of its most emotional songs:

The DNCE frontman clearly wanted the job, so you can understand why the news would've been hard for him. I can't even imagine learning such a thing during “Landslide” of all songs. Despite that, it should be pointed out that Joe Jonas was actually a coach on The Voice Australia during Season 7 back in 2018 -- a full two years before his brother landed the gig for Season 18 of the  the U.S. version. Though he also coveted the other spot, it sounds like Joe was indeed happy for Nick after he landed the position:

Luckily, neither he nor brother Kevin Jonas were left out completely, though. The two actually served as advisors for the Battle rounds during Nick’s first season on the series, so while Joe wasn’t able to be an actual coach. It may not have been the full-time gig Joe was looking for, but that's not a bad consolation prize, I'd say.

The coaches have been locked down for Season 24 of The Voice, so Joe Jonas won’t get the chance to participate this time around either. Of course, the show could be on for quite some time, so there's always the possibility that he lands a coaching position at some point in the future. He already knows how it all works, thanks to his time on the show's international counterpart. So I don't see why he wouldn't at least receive some light consideration. Here's hoping that he gets a chance. Now, I need to go listen to Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" for myself.

But first, know that Season 24 of The Voice will likely debut as part of the 2023 TV schedule in the fall. With Blake Shelton officially exiting, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Niall Horan are stepping back in, and country superstar Reba McEntire is making her debut as coach. We'll have to wait and see if there's hope for Joe Jonas down the line.

I think it's safe to say Joe Jonas is more known as a singer than an actor. While he had his fair share of screentime on Disney Channel in the early aughts, starring in projects like Camp Rock, these days people likely know him as one-third of The Jonas Brothers and the frontman of DNCE. While he has a stellar stage presence (which I can confirm because I’ve seen The Jonas Brothers twice in concert), acting is an entirely different kind of performance. Luckily as he auditioned for his big acting role in the movie Devotion he had all the help he could need from his wife and Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner. 

The singer, and now actor, opened up about if he gets nervous when he’s preparing for an audition, and what it was like having his wife direct his self-tape for the latest movie on the 2022 movie schedule, Devotion, telling Variety: 

The Jonas brother went on to talk about the moment he truly realized Turner really knew what she was doing during his self-tape, explaining:

So while, Joe Jonas may not have landed the role of Spider-Man back in the day, having his wife’s tough love and constructive criticism seems to have really helped him secure a role in Devotion. 

It makes perfect sense to me that Turner would be a tough, yet effective acting coach for her hubby. She was cast as Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones when she was about 15 years old, and she spent the next eight years filming the epic show that also included many traumatic scenes that could not have been easy to film. On top of GOT, Turner has also appeared in lots of other projects, including a hilarious cameo in Netflix’s Do Revenge, showing that this actress has range. 

Jonas and Turner have been together for quite a while, they started dating in 2016, and they got married in 2019. The couple now has two kids, and since Game of Thrones, Turner has gone onto new projects, and Jonas has gotten back together with his brothers to release music as The Jonas Brothers again. After all this time, I totally get why Turner wouldn’t hold back on giving her husband tough advice, and clearly, it paid off because now Joe Jonas is starring alongside Glen Powell and Jonathan Majors in a major motion picture.
