Kristin Cavallari came to fame as a reality TV villain in the early aughts, when she was somehow portrayed as the other woman in her own relationship on Laguna Beach and then continued to ruffle feathers on The Hills. It turns out she hadn’t planned on joining the spinoff, and she recently opened up about why she did it, despite knowing that MTV had cast her specifically to antagonize her co-stars.

It’s been 20 years since Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County wrapped its run on MTV, with Lauren Conrad going on to lead The Hills when it premiered months later. Conrad exited the spinoff in Season 5, and Kristin Cavallari was brought in to ensure peak drama. The whole thing was marketed as, “The bitch is back” — a fact Cavallari apparently knew going in. She told SiriusXM’s The Julia Cunningham Show:

The Laguna Beach alum suggested people tend to blame the woman — which was likely not helped by her reputation as a reality TV villain. Similarly, Nikki Bella’s WWE background may have caused people to misunderstand her, she said:

It’s true that Nikki Bella is responsible for one of the most shocking heel turns in pro wrestling history, when she double-crossed her own sister in 2014, but that’s just a character she played. Brie Bella said there’s a misconception about how tough they are outside of the ring, and Nikki agreed, saying:

Again, Kristin Cavallari seemingly could relate, saying adamantly that anything you do for your job in entertainment shouldn’t be allowed to be used against you in a divorce.

In the days and weeks that followed Artem Chigvintsev’s arrest, the estranged couple each made accusations and filed restraining orders against each other. The DWTS alum insisted he was not violent with his wife and that she was “the one who attacked” him.

The former couple met in 2017, when they were paired together on Dancing with the Stars. They confirmed their relationship in 2019, and Nikki Garcia gave birth to their son Matteo the following year. They tied the knot in 2022 and were married for two years before the incident.

The Traitors alum seems happy to keep moving forward, as she came into 2025 talking about the lessons she’d learned from the divorce, and she even suggested she might be open to dating again, joking earlier this year that she wants her “body rocked.”

How Did Kristin Cavallari Feel About Her Glen Powell Date Being Exposed?

This did not appear to be a pre-planned moment between The Hills alum and her best friend to create drama. Speaking with US Weekly about Justin Anderson’s spilling of the tea, Kristin Cavallari said she didn’t remember what she even said until she watched the episode back. She said:

As for whether or not she regrets her Glen Powell-humping becoming public knowledge, she refused to answer that question, but she did acknowledge that her BFF’s mouth can be an issue for her, saying:

Kristin Cavallari and Justin Anderson are actually pretty hilarious together, and while we don’t know how Glen Powell or others who become unwittingly involved in the podcast conversations feel about their private moments coming out, Cavallari herself rarely seems bothered.

For one thing, I’m sure she knows that’s what the audience of her live podcasts are hoping for, and two, she’s the one who continues to release all of the content alongside her loose-lipped buddy.

The big revelation came out when The Hills veteran and her longtime friend Justin Anderson were doing the “Suspect Challenge,” where two people roast each other by taking turns pretending to be an officer pursuing a suspect. These besties look like they’re having the best time delivering some painful truths and A+ lies, with Kristin Cavallari accusing Justin Anderson of riding her coattails (which he admitted was true) and him playing into a fan’s conspiracy theory that Cavallari is a man and has an Adam’s apple (a topic they've discussed on her podcast Let's Be Honest). Then Anderson dropped this bit of tea about the Very Cavallari star:

In regards to that last question, it does appear that the tryst between Kristin Cavallari and Jason Statham is far behind them now, with a source telling US Weekly the 37-year-old reality star was in her 20s at the time. It was apparently more than a casual fling, too, as the insider alleged they dated for six months, saying:

Outside of a vague age range, it’s not known what year that all went down, but The Meg star has been with his partner Rosie Huntington-Whiteley since 2010, which was also the same year Kristin Cavallari started dating NFL quarterback Jay Cutler, who she was married to until their separation in 2020.

It may not be a scandal, but it’s still some pretty hot tea, as was Justin Anderson’s claim that country singer “Morgan Wallen hurt [Kristin Cavallari’s] feelings and she kept going back.” It was long thought that the two dated briefly in 2023, and her BFF seemed to confirm it here.

Kristin Cavallari is known for being quite outspoken on a variety of topics but, weeks ago, she truly caught the public’s attention with some bold declarations. During an episode of her podcast, Cavallari discussed a Hollywood conspiracy theory that she totally believes. The media personality confirmed that she’s of the mindset that both Britney Spears and Kanye West have been replaced by clones. Now, it would seem that Spears herself caught wind of the comments, and Cavallari shared how the famed singer responded.

The 37-year-old star – who’s long been painted as a reality TV villain – reflected on her headline-making comments during the latest episode of her Let’s Be Honest podcast. While discussing the situation, Kristin Cavallari revealed that the “Toxic” singer not only found out about her comments but actually reached out to her about them. The media personality then went on to explain in the YouTube video to her friend, Justin Anderson, what kind of message was relayed to her by the the pop singer’s team while she was in New York:

While recalling how everything went down, the Laguna Beach alum explained that her own publicist knows Britney Spears’ manager. It’s honestly not surprising that the Grammy winner would become aware of what was said about her, given that she seems to stay plugged in online. The MTV alum, who said that Spears was her “idol” growing up, explained that she and the singer were placed in a group chat alongside their respective publicist and manager. She continued:

That wasn’t the end of the saga, though, as Kristin Cavallari revealed that her publicist encouraged her to reach out to the “...Baby One More Time” performer separately. Cavallari did just that and sent what she described as a generally cordial text message. Ultimately, though, the Very Cavallari star wasn’t exactly pleased over how that all panned out:

The closing quip above seems to have mostly been made in jest. However, the Hills veteran later went on to convey her belief that the entire situation was “bullshit.” In her estimation, the pop star’s supposed snub just “proved [her] point.” To her, the method-acting Crossroads star was “not trying to hang out” but was simply “trying to shut me the fuck up because I’m obviously onto something.” As of this writing, the “Circus” performer has yet to respond to this latest podcast episode.

All in all, the former Fox reality show host is sticking to her guns when it comes to her conspiracy theory beliefs, and it seems it would be hard to change her mind at this point. I remain curious as to whether Kristin Cavllari – who’s faced trolls on social media – might share even more wild assumptions on some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. It’s hard to say what might happen there, and the same is true in regard to whether beloved entertainer and best-selling author Britney Spears might respond.

Wow, people really believe this one! The reality TV villain from Laguna Beach and The Hills described herself as “the biggest conspiracy theorist on the planet” before jumping into her spiel about Ye not being who we think he is. She said:

I certainly remember a time when Kanye West was constantly in the news for controversial behavior and making several antisemitic statements, to the point where he lost over a billion dollars in business deals. Then things seemed to quiet down, and Kristin Cavallari recalled something Ye allegedly said, continuing:

Indeed there are plenty of TikToks and social media posts out there dedicated to proving that Kanye West looks different now than he used to, but that’s not where the conspiracies end, my friends. Kristin Cavallari is convinced that the Instagram-dancing, memoir-penning pop star Britney Spears is not the same singer we bopped along with 25 years ago. The Hills star said:

Kristin Cavallari said she believes these things “with every ounce of my body,” guessing that those closest to these celebs won’t or can’t come forward because they’d be killed.

Conspiracy theories involving famous people have been around forever — just take The Beatles’ “Paul is dead” stories — and while there are often rational explanations for celebrities’ change in appearances or demeanor, it’s also sometimes fun to think outside the box.

She’s been open in the past about how devastating it was to be painted as a villain at such a young age, but Kristin Cavallari is grateful for where her journey has taken her. She pointed out that as a completely independent 37-year-old woman, she should be able to date whoever makes her happy, saying:

Despite her critics, Kristin Cavallari seems to be very happy with her TikToker, and that’s especially nice to hear after her past relationship left her so “unhappy and stressed out” that it affected her health.

Amazing Race’s Mika Won't Go Down The Waterslide 

Mika Combs and Canaan Smith saw their journey on The Amazing Race 15 end after Mika, who was afraid of both heights and water, was unable to go down a six-story waterslide in Dubai. She had an epic meltdown as Canaan tried apparently for 45 minutes to get her to complete the challenge, even grabbing her arms and trying to force her onto the slide at one point.

The Hills’ Final Shot 

There were a lot of questions about how "real" The Hills actually was, and the series finale provided an answer in epic fashion. After a tearful goodbye between Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari in the final scene, he appears to be standing in front of the Hollywood sign as he watches her limo drive away. The camera then pans out to reveal they're in a studio backlot, and the Hollywood sign backdrop is wheeled away as Cavallari — whose limo never actually went anywhere — exits the vehicle and hugs Jenner.

Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes had some wild moments on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, but one of the sickest burns was served up during the Season 1 reunion after Zolciak clarified her situation with “Big Poppa.” She told Andy Cohen that her on-off man was going through a divorce but was still legally married, ultimately prompting Leakes’ infamous line: “Close your legs to married men.” 

Phaedra Pleads ‘Not Ekin-Su’ On The Traitors 

Phaedra Parks has had plenty of noteworthy moments on reality TV, but she became an instant meme on The Traitors Season 2 with her reaction to learning that Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu had drunk from the poisoned chalice. Parks’ mouth dropped, eyes rolling back in her head as she pleaded, “Oh my Lord, sweet baby Jesus, not Ekin-Su. Lord, not Ekin-Su,” fanning herself with a napkin as if she were about to faint.

As long as there's reality TV, there will continue to be iconic moments like these, and I for one can't wait.

Kristin Cavallari has been a public figure since she was in high school, when MTV camera crews documented her and her friends’ lives for the reality show Laguna Beach (and later The Hills). As it tends to happen with many celebrities, Cavallari ended up having to endure a pretty public breakup, divorcing ex-NFL quarterback Jay Cutler in 2020. Looking back on that time, the TV personality discussed how the stress of their relationship affected her physical health, and she dropped an F-bomb as she recalled how much weight she lost.

On her podcast Let’s Be Honest, Kristin Cavallari addressed a fan’s comment that she looked very thin on her reality show Very Cavallari, which aired on E! from 2018 to 2020. She responded that those later years of her marriage — she and Jay Cutler were together for 10 years, married for seven — were very difficult for her, and she just happened to be living them in front of the reality show cameras. She revealed just how much she weighed, telling listeners: 

The Hills star said the problem wasn’t that she wasn’t eating, but that she was in such an unhappy place. She even dropped an F-bomb as she recalled the toll all the stress took on her body. She continued: 

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler’s divorce was full of contention, with the fashion designer citing “inappropriate marital conduct” as the reason for the split, and there were rumors that the former quarterback had cheated on her with an ex-friend. Reports at the time alleged that Cutler often made Cavallari cry on the Very Cavallari set, and it’s therefore no surprise that she chose to quit the reality show when the breakup went down.

Today Kristin Cavallari says she’s walking around with a little more meat on her bones, and she seems much happier with the way she looks and feels. She said she’s incorporated heavy weights into her workouts, and she’s pretty consistent about lifting four to five times a week, with a little cardio sprinkled in.

She seems to be all about the body positivity, too, as she took part in last year’s black bikini trend with a stunning social media post that basically dared trolls to come at the mother of three. 

It’s hard to hear about the hard times Kristin Cavallari’s been through and how the stress affected her, but thankfully the 37-year-old seems to be thriving now with her new boyfriend, 24-year-old TikToker Mark Estes.

I can’t believe it’s warm enough for celebrities to already be busting out the bikini content, but it must be, because they have. I suppose fashion does start rolling out  months in advance, and if the most recent posts from actors like Halle Berry, Sydney Sweeney and more are any indication, summer wear is very in vogue right now. This year, it also looks as if the black bikini is going to be king. 

The bikini has been around for years – it’s reportedly dated to a post WWII era 1946 unveiling – and black bikinis themselves have been en vogue in the past. In fact, Demi Moore notably wore one on the big screen back in 2000 when she appeared in Charlie’s Angels opposite Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu and Drew Barrymore. 

What is old becomes new again; in fact, we already know that early aughts fashion is coming back in, and this includes the black bikini as well. Here’s Halle Berry giving major beach vibes in a recent Instagram post. 

If you aren’t convinced a black bikini on its own is the look of the summer, try throwing on a cute shawl and a glass of champagne as accessories. Berry is undeniably doing this new trend justice, though I suppose fans shouldn’t be surprised given her history of swimwear in film. She’s not the first to throw on the look either. A few days ago, Bradley Cooper’s ex and famous model Irina Shayk threw on a similar bikini. 

This look was accessorized with a necklace and wet hair. It was also giving a little underboob, which is certainly another on-trend look now, with other celebrities, including Rachel Zegler and Aubrey Plaza rocking underboob for certain events. 

It's not just bikinis that are in, but the color black in swimwear, as Kim Kardashian and her sister aesthetically matched in the color for a recent post from a vacation the family took to the Bahamas. (Kim had on a bikini, Khloé wore a one-piece suit.) 

Sydney Sweeney actually has a brand new line of swimwear with Frankie’s Bikinis, and she hasn’t been solely stuck on the black bikini in recent weeks. The brand does tout “sexy swimsuits” and this black number from the Euphoria actress certainly fits the bill. In fact, it's one step off from lingerie. 

Kristin Cavallari also notably went viral just a few weeks ago for sharing a black bikini post with the caption, “...but she’s a mother.” It was seemingly a nod to flack some moms take for keeping their bodies in shape and being proud of that even after kids are in the picture. Cavallari has three kids she shares with ex Jay Cutler. 

There have been lots of different takes on the black bikini from lots of different celebrities. If you’re more of a plain and simple gal, I really like this ribbed suit from Beach Riot, which rocks the trend but is a bit less risqué than some of the looks the celebrities dared to throw on. (It also comes in other neutrals, if black isn’t your vibe.) 

If you’re looking to rock everything your Mama gave you, there’s plenty of options for that too. This Indah suit is actually even more party in the back than in the front, believe it or not. But it covers enough that the only thing you need to be concerned about is tan lines. 

The nice thing about a black bikini is that it’s a color that looks good on everyone and it’s a classic look that will survive more than just one season. Oh and you can get it in a lot of styles, including a high-waisted bikini. I particularly like this one from PatBo, which adds hardware for interest.

Meanwhile, I’m guessing that black will continue to be the color of the swim season as the weather heats up, so if you haven't perused Amazon or other websites in your budget range, best get to it  One thing is for certain: celebrities are most definitely ready for summer.

Media personality and fashion designer Kristin Cavallari knows that all too well, as she’s the mom of three little ones. She’s proud of her mommy status and occasionally posts about her kids (and typically keeps their faces hidden). Unfortunately, she’s garnered negative reactions from trolls, who’ve criticized her figure and choices of attire as a mother. Cavallari’s fans, however, are sure to know that she doesn’t let such hate bring her down, and she proved that by clapping back with a memorable black bikini post. 

The 36-year-old star took to her Instagram this weekend to share a couple sizzling hot pics of herself. Her fit figure is on full display, as she poses on top of a table. After this pitch-perfect post, the haters may want to think twice before they consider critiquing the Hills alum. Kristin Cavallari, to put it mildly, looks downright stunning here and is definitely working the black ensemble and the messy ponytail. While the photos certainly send a message about her own body and fashion choices, there’s a bigger statement being made. She’s trying to get across the point that mothers are still incredibly sexy and shouldn’t be judged, and one can’t help but appreciate the sentiment. 

Her social media followers seem to be living for the fresh pictures as well. One user, paayal26, simply posed the question, “Who says moms can’t be hot[?]” Another, geraldbarbee, referred to the star as “The best thing to come out of Laguna Beach.” But it was shandeoliveira’s comment that really took the cake, as they provided some honest thoughts on the kind of blowback that mothers get:

Married in 2013, Cavallari and Cutler opted to divorce in 2020 with the legal agreement being finalized in 2022. Though Cavallari got candid at times about how difficult the split was, she kept a positive attitude, even joking about dating amid the proceedings. More recently, she opened up about rumors surrounding the split as well as Cutler’s public complaints. Going through such scrutiny has to be difficult for a celeb, especially when you also have children that you want to protect. Kudos to the mom for keeping her head and her children safe during that turbulent time. 

But presently, the reality TV alum is sure to inspire a lot of other mothers with her stunning bikini photos. One would hope that she won’t continue to get bombarded with comments from trolls and haters. However, in the event that it happens, I wouldn’t be surprised if she reminds them who they’re dealing with by sharing a few more striking images.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari decided over two years ago to end their marriage, and lots of opinions have been shared since then regarding what went wrong. Cheating allegations have followed the former NFL quarterback after Cavallari’s combative divorce papers cited “inappropriate marital conduct,” and viewers of Very Cavallari had some vicious comments at the time about not being surprised by the split. The Back to the Beach podcast host recently spoke about her relationship again, prompting a response from her ex that her complaints were “comical.”

Kristin Cavallari went on the Call Her Daddy podcast, where she discussed the end of her relationship with Jay Cutler, which ended in 2020 after seven years of marriage and 10 years together. While she said “nothing major happened at the end,” she did call their marriage “toxic,” and the retired quarterback said on the Sofia With an F podcast that he doesn’t know why they still need to be sharing these thoughts publicly two years later. Cutler said:

Jay Cutler refused to “go down that road,” not wanting to air their dirty laundry for the sake of their three children. He said at some point they’re going to read about these comments and have questions, and he doesn’t understand why it’s still being brought up. Kristin Cavallari also acknowledged their children when she spoke about the marriage, saying that their oldest on now Googles their names, so she has to be careful about what she says. 

Cheating allegations have followed the couple since even before they split. On Season 3 of Kristin Cavallari’s reality show Very Cavallari, she openly discussed the rumors that Jay Cutler had cheated with her former best friend Kelly Henderson. Despite infidelity not being specifically mentioned in The Hills actress’ divorce allegations, Cutler found himself again denying the rumors, saying on the podcast: 

The former Chicago Bear may not be willing to straight-up bad-mouth his ex-wife, but his frustration with the situation is more than apparent in his cheeky "stay tuned" comment and others. Both parties clearly have their three kids in mind, but it doesn’t seem like they agree on what’s best kept just between the two of them. 

The two haven’t always been at odds amid their split, to be sure. Kristin Cavallari has revealed that they actually dated again after divorcing, as she said their breakup wasn’t a matter of not loving each other anymore. In the end, dating again proved that they’d made the right decision by splitting up, and they were not going to be together long-term. Hopefully they can come to enough of an understanding to keep doing what’s best for their children. And now we await any and all rebuttals...

When it comes to reality television, viewers should probably expect some real and some staged moments. When it comes to MTV's The Hills, vet Audrina Partridge has been the latest cast member to pull back the curtain on the OG series. She has claimed the infamous confrontation between her and Kristin Cavallari over her former boyfriend Justin Brescia (a.k.a. Justin Bobby) wasn’t actually what viewers saw on TV. In fact, she shared shocking claims about how far producers went to stage drama between her and Cavallari. 

The Hills vet spilled just how manufactured the popular MTV reality show was in her new memoir Choices: To the Hills and Back Again (via People). The television personality alleged that Brescia used the alleged fake relationship with the Very Cavallari star “to keep him in the public eye." Partridge said the moment was fake as she and her former boyfriend weren’t together and she was in a new relationship at the time. 

Despite being in a new relationship off-camera, the reality star claimed the show’s producers forced her to continue her on-screen relationship with Brescia. She said that the golden reality moment happened as she prepared to leave a house party, and that she was pushed by The Hills producer to confront her former co-star about the new couple’s showmance. The Hills OG stated: 

The scenario went beyond the usual drama she was accustomed to, as the producers allegedly kept her from leaving the shooting set. Partridge had enough of the scene, and she reportedly called her lawyer and agent to consult them on how to manage the alleged standstill between her and the producers. While her lawyer spoke with producers, Cavallari reportedly came over to The Hills: New Beginnings alum to coax her into doing the scene so everyone could move on.

Given the infamous ending of the original series, Partridge’s claims of a fake fight over a boyfriend wouldn’t be too farfetched. At the time, she was under contract and had an obligation to film the reality show whether she and Brescia were broken up or not. If The Hills vet’s recount is accurate to what happened, it seemed like her former boyfriend was working with the show’s producers while being manipulated by them at the same time. This was only Partridge’s side of the story. It would be interesting to hear what both Cavallari and Brescia have to say about the infamous confrontation. Cavallari has dropped her own reveals recently, including the bafflingly low amount of money she was paid for Season 1.

Partridge and her memoir have been making headlines lately, as she revealed to E! News that she allegedly swapped numbers with Oscar-winner Leonardo DiCaprio. She even spoke about her reported relationship with Star Trek’s Chris Pine, as reported by Buzzfeed. The MTV reality show is poised for another reboot with a new cast, but don't hold your breath for the full original cast to reunite anytime soon after former Hills star Spencer Pratt called his castmates "hot garbage." For her part,  Lo Bosworth has said that she's "uncomfortable" about her years on the show, and Heidi Montag spoke out about Lauren Conrad and their feud. Kristin Cavallari has come a long way since the days of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She was just 17 back in 2004 when she and her friends were picked to star on the MTV reality show. Now a well-known media personality and founder of the fashion and lifestyle brand Uncommon James, Cavallari is looking back to where it all started, including the astonishingly small amount of money she was paid for her breakout role on Laguna Beach.

MTV and the cast of Laguna Beach could only have dreamed of what the show would become, airing for three seasons and spawning a spinoff — The Hills — that aired for another six, while launching the careers of a number of young actors and entrepreneurs. Before that success happened, though, the salary awarded to Kristin Cavallari (and possibly her co-stars) for her first season was pretty modest, even outside of upscale SoCal standards. On her new podcast Back to the Beach, she recalled how much she was paid:

I’m sure there wasn’t exactly a ton of hard labor involved in the process of starring in Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County, but these teenagers did agree to let cameras document their personal lives and manufacture drama between their group of high school friends — which is something fellow Laguna Beach star Lo Bosworth has said she struggled with. Considering that the seasons apparently took about nine months to shoot (mostly on weekends), $2,000 doesn't seem like it was quite enough money to make it worth it at the time. 

Still, that was not much of a concern for the woman who went on to appear on The Hills and then lead her own reality show, Very Cavallari. She was more concerned with the competitive aspect of winning and earning the job than zeroes on the paycheck. In her words:

We definitely saw that competitive edge come out on the MTV drama, and really, I’m sure $2,000 looks good to any teenager, especially when you get to be on a TV show with your friends. Laguna Beach also introduced the world to Stephen Colletti — Kristin Cavallari’s ex-boyfriend and Back to the Beach podcast co-host, whose post-MTV projects included a role on six seasons of One Tree Hill — and Lauren Conrad, who has gone on to launch her own fashion and beauty lines and has written nine books.

This is Very Cavallari of Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler. The former Hills star and ex-NFL player had a second wind of prominence with their E! reality series, which ran for three seasons. Fans saw them procure llamas and wisecrack at the other's expense, but their arguments caught on camera seemed to pave the way for their divorce announcement last year. Apparently, though, the former couple were still willing to try some out of the box ideas together – because Cavallari shared that they actually tried dating again not so long ago.

In the interim of their divorce being held up (reportedly due to asset disagreements), the two are said to have been dating around. Kristin Cavallari was, at one point, linked to a Southern Charm star during the show’s involvement in A-Rod’s alleged love affairs. But she’s now supposedly dating country music singer Chase Rice. Meanwhile, her ex has been thought to be dating country music singer Jana Kramer following her own messy divorce to an ex NFL player. But this was all seemingly after the couple had tried saving their own marriage from divorce. While on the Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe podcast, Cavallari revealed:

The revelation goes some way to explaining those Halloween pics from last year. Along with their three kids, she and Jay Cutler had posed together for the festivities, dressed as a unicorn and prisoner respectively, which had sparked rumors that they were attempting to reconcile. But it was apparently all for naught or just a co-parenting endeavor because only a month later, Cutler was posting on social media about hanging out with Shannon Ford, who was infamously fired by his ex on Season 2 of Very Cavallari.

On the surface, the move may not seem like the best idea for a couple attempting to make headway in their relationship. But their marriage has reportedly seen even bumpier days, with rumors indicating that Jay Cutler’s calleged affairs are what led to the divorce. Rumors of which the two have attempted to squash in the past.

The supposed “curse of reality TV” is that oftentimes a relationship cannot live to survive it because a couple finally sees itself laid bare. Such has been the case for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian, the latter of whom has complained of a “difference of opinions” and joked that she didn’t like ex’s personality while hosting SNL. And it’s so common within the Real Housewives universe that even a whisper of a vow renewal is akin to hearing the proverbial nail in the coffin. Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler, despite all their best efforts it would seem, are now in the same company, too.

Any fan of The Hills' initial run knows all about the drama between former BFFs Lauren Conrad and Heidi Montag. While the two haven’t been seen together in years, fans of the series have remained obsessed with their famous falling out, which took place across the blogs and the small screen. Montag still gets asked about Conrad, and despite no longer being friends with her former co-star, The Hills: New Beginnings lead revealed she still holds Conrad in high regard, and she recently reflected on why the fashion designer may not be as success as she deserves to be.

Before they stopped associating with one another, Heidi Montag and Lauren Conrad were thick as thieves on The Hills, weathering personal storms together such as Conrad’s relationship with Jason Whaler, and Montag quitting the Academy of Art. Some changes for Season 2 ultimately led to the deterioration of their friendship. All these years later, Montag still believes Conrad should be bigger and more popular than she currently is. In regards to The Hills alum’s fashion empire, Montag explained on the Call Her Daddy podcast why she felt fellow Hills alum Kirstin Cavallari has become more successful than Conrad.

Heidi Montag’s words were surprising, yet honest at the same time. As a Hills fan, I have to agree that Lauren Conrad’s fashion and beauty empire should be a bigger deal. But Conrad seems to enjoy life with her family and lucrative collaborations, and doesn't seem to be lacking anything. As Montag pointed out, Conrad had so much momentum behind her. Between MTV and her association with Vogue, she seemed poised to be the fashion industry’s next big entity. But the former Hills alum seemed to have moved past her reality show days.

That wasn't the only thing Heidi Montag had to say about her former friend Lauren Conrad, though. She surprisingly reveale that she and Conrad had spoken a few years ago. Montag gave some insight into her and Conrad’s friendship break-up over her now-husband Spencer Pratt, saying this about Conrad’s influence over the original series:

According to Heidi Montag, Lauren Conrad seemed to be somewhat controlling behind the scenes. But then again, she was the star and narrator of the hit MTV series. Plus, at the time, Conrad and Spencer Pratt were at odds in the media over rumors about a reported sex tape with her ex Jason Wahler, which put Montag in an impossible situation. But Conrad didn’t want to be associated with Pratt and that rumor, and Montag seemed more hurt by how everything went down than anything else. But in the end, the reality star wanted to live her life and didn’t want her friend giving her an ultimatum.

Life clearly hasn't been too bad for Lauren Conrad, as she has been highly successful after her Hills departure with various fashion and beauty lines and penning best-selling books. Meanwhile, Heidi Montag and her husband have built their brand while starring in MTV’s The Hills: New Beginnings. Maybe one day, the two former friends will find a way to reach a common ground, even if it's over agreement that Conrad deserves more business deals.

Former power couple Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari still aren’t divorced yet, more than a year after they announced their split. That’s not strange for celebrities who sometimes take many years to officially untie all the knots, but it’s a bit surprising for these two since they seemed to be handling things very well. She got some new tattoos. He binged Yellowstone. Just normal, healthy break-up stuff. Unfortunately, months after they reportedly worked out a custody agreement and even posed for a picture together, the proceedings have allegedly hit a snag over whether he will retain any ownership over the brand she launched.

Now, everything related to divorces should be consumed with a bit of skepticism considering the hurt feelings and potential monetary swings that are in play, but according to TMZ, the forward progress related to the split has slowed considerably because he’s allegedly asking for half of Uncommon James. Cavallari launched the jewelry and apparel line in 2017 while they were still married and because of that, he’s supposedly asking for fifty percent of the company as part of the divorce. She allegedly feels like he shouldn’t get anything since he didn’t work on the brand or put any of his own money into it.

It’s hard to imagine former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler wanting to sit in at Uncommon James meetings moving forward and giving his opinion on the new Wanderlust Hoop Earrings. More likely his lawyer wants the brand thrown into the official assets because it increases the total value of the pile when everything is split up. Or maybe he just thinks the company has huge long-term potential and he wants a stake so he gets paid when it further explodes in popularity. Or maybe this is an intentional leak from Kristin Cavallari’s camp to make him look a certain kind of way. You just never know when it comes to divorce stuff.

Regardless, Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari seem like they’re definitely splitting, which is a huge shame considering the hope they gave fans when they dropped a Halloween picture together. There was something that just worked in a really odd, opposites attract, off-beat kind of way, and many fans of her reality show Very Cavallari couldn’t get enough, even though the split didn't exactly come out of nowhere. Also, on a personal level, I also couldn't get enough of their relationship. As a Bears fan and Cutler apologist who grew up watching Laguna Beach, they had everything I wanted out of a celebrity couple.

Your guess is as good as mine where things go from here, but I think I speak for everyone when I say if these two aren’t getting back together, I hope they at least find common ground to stop fighting and get back to doing the things they love. For her, that appears to be working on her jewelry brand and crushing reality television. For him, that appears to be taking photos with animals and rocking an all-time great DGAF face.

Most of us probably had a long year last year, but to be completely honest if any celebrity had a particularly long year, Kristin Cavallari would be at the top of the list. She split from her famous NFL quarterback ex Jay Cutler in the middle of a pandemic, then had to deal with a slew of rumors, including one related to a former pal from her Laguna Beach days. That wasn’t all, as the online rumor mill just kept getting stoked. She’s addressed it though, shortly after turning 34.

This past week, both Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari took a stand against the Internet rumors, doing so through a matching post on both of their Instagram accounts. You can see Cavallari’s below, and just note Cutler’s had a different image but the same caption.

Unfortunately, this did little to quell the vicious Internet rumors cycle, a cycle Jay Cutler has also not been immune to as both he and his ex dealt with rumors related to their split. Cutler, for his part, also dealt with dating rumors after stirring the pot and hanging out with a woman Kristin Cavallari’s fired. After the two decided to drop their matching posts which featured the comment “The world is full of users. 10 years. At home and in Zoom calls, however, she’s still legally Kristin Cutler. For now.

We live in an era where in-person interviews typically aren’t happening. Thus, when Ryan Seacrest and Kristin Cavallari spoke the other day it was via Zoom, where her name popped up as “Kristin Cutler.” Seacrest is a good interviewer and obviously had to call that out during the iHeart Radio segment, during which they had this revealing exchange:

While Seacrest jokes about Cavallari’s name and helping her to get to the bottom of the mystery, the real takeaway is Cavallari admitting she’s still sorting out some stuff related to her split from Jay Cutler. The two called it quits back in April of this year. While that wasn’t so long ago, in 2020 it sort of feels like a lifetime.

Whether or not that’s true, Jay Cutler’s career has a lot more question marks attached to it than Cavallari’s, as the latter is busy with her book, her kids and her jewelry brand, Uncommon James. So, why did he cut out of social media completely? The rumor mill would indicate that Kristin Cavallari’s post with Stephen Colletti may have been to blame. People were really here for that post online, including the likes of the Jersey Shore cast and more, but an unnamed source told E! the former Bears quarterback “was getting a lot of heat” over the Laguna Beach-oriented post.

Weirdly, at the time Kristin Cavallari posted the Instagram update, reports indicated she isn’t embarking on a romance with Stephen Colletti, even if her fanbase is here for it. It’s also true that people were pretty vicious online after Cutler and Cavallari initially split and that didn’t stop him from posting on social media, so I find it odd that the Colletti flack might. In fact, Jay Cutler's taken more than a few shots online in recent days and perhaps this was the straw that broke the camel's back. It’s not like he has to have a reason to justify cutting his fanbase out of his day-to-day routine.

Some of these posts actually led to some questions over who ran Jay Cutler’s Instagram as he split from his ex Kristin Cavallari. But recently a bunch of his posts seemed to be about chickens and other random things on his property that seemingly made it clear he was in charge of his own content.

Like so many celebrities before him, it looks as if he’s at the very least taking a break from social media. He may find over time that he doesn’t really feel the need to come back, particularly given he had basically been retired from public life outside his gig on the now-cancelled Very Cavallari. There was a time on television when highlights were simpler and skirts were often pleated, and Kristin Cavallari had a bit of a rivalry with Lauren Conrad over one Stephen Colletti.  Laguna Beach has long come and gone and Kristen Cavallari grew up and had kids with former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Yet, now she’s in the throes of divorcing Cutler, and she recently dropped an image of herself spending time with her ex-flame (Colletti not Cutler). In an obvious sequence of events, the Internet is having a heyday contemplating the possibilities.

Here’s what happened. Kristin Cavallari recently caught up with her ex-flame Stephen Colletti in Laguna Beach, California as part of a trip to her old stomping grounds. She took a photo with Colletti and posted it on Instagram with a cutesy “2004 or 2020” caption.

Clearly the pic is not a throwback, however, and the Internet seems to be in a tizzy over it. Even fellow MTV stars have gotten into the fun. Jersey Shore star Snooki is clearly fond of Laguna Beach as is her co-star Angelina Pivarnick, who both commented on the Instagram post, with the latter telling the Laguna Beach star to "get" her man. Snooki, aka Nicole Polizzi, commented with some fire emojis as well as the following statement:

It's not just other reality stars who got into the post. Justin Anderson, who oft works with Kristin Cavallari on her hair, also said what probably most of us are thinking when he noted:

Along with the more notable names in Hollywood commenting on this amazing reunion photo, a lot of fans also though sent out “pew pew” comments and finger guns or asked Kristin Cavallari to stop teasing them.

Honestly, there would be something about an old Laguna Beach romance rekindling if that were true. However, Kristin Cavallari still only recently split from Jay Cutler and per TMZ she just returned to Laguna Beach to visit with Stephen Colletti along with another Alex Murrel, another cast member from the show. Earlier in 2020 Stephen Colletti even revealed the love triangle he famously played out on television felt like forever ago, noting to Us Weekly,

Though Cavallari managed to spark this fun Internet speculation all on her own given it came from an image she herself posted, for now it seems like the two former reality stars are still just friends. Although I suppose it’s still worth pointing out that Cavallari is newly single and that Colletti hasn’t been publicly tied with anyone recently. Not that there's anything there, though if fans following Cavallari are any indication, there's always an appetite for a cute story like this one to turn into something more.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari have made some major efforts over the past several weeks to make it seem like their big split is going swimmingly. This includes activities like spending time together with their kids on Father’s Day and more. This weekend, Jay Cutler also professed his support for Kristin Cavallari’s new cookbook, True Comfort, which will be sold exclusively at Target.

The retired football player took to Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of his ex's True Comfort book, also noting the recipes in the book were “taste tested and approved.” That’s a pretty nice endorsement and certainly not something he had to do for his ex. The book will officially drop on September 29.

Those efforts on social media and in their personal lives come after some contentious reports following their initial split. The couple called it quits back at the end of April and had created a nice joint post mentioning “great sadness” over the dissolving of their marriage. Soon after the post indicating they had grown apart, the tabloids got ahold of the story and said some dirt would be coming out. Later reports said Cutler had been attempting to keep Cavallari from purchasing a new home as the two split.

Alongside this, inappropriate conduct was listed in Kristin Cavallari’s divorce filing and the rumor mill also seemed to indicate Jay Cutler may have been “unmotivated” during his marriage with the reality star, some of which seemingly played out on their reality show. Set stories even indicated the former Bears player often made his then-wife cry when they were filming. The latter stuff is unconfirmed, but the way the filing played out certainly wasn’t and often public divorces such as these end up getting contentious.

Instead, it seems the two have weathered the storm and figured out how to co-parent even as they navigate the court system. They’ve also made changes in their personal lives. Jay Cutler’s been on the hunt for the culprit of the creature killing his chickens, which he recently confirmed. For the Fourth of July holiday, however, the couple split off, with Kristin Cavallari sticking with the kids while Cutler went on an adventure. She shared fun fireworks posts with her 4 million followers while her former partner spent time in the mountains.

Meanwhile, the split led Kristin Cavallari to quit her popular reality show Very Cavallari and in the time since she has gone back to some other enterprising pursuits. This includes the True Comfort cookbook, as well as working on her Uncommon James fashion brand. We’ll have to wait and see what both members of the former couple pursue in the coming months as they continue to separate their lives more and more, but for now it’s nice to see them at least publicly attempting to play nice together. Well, it is nice that Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler seemed to have worked through at least enough of their issues to be able to celebrate this occasion with their kids. But, she did manage to pack a lot of info into that caption didn't she? There's quite a lot to pick apart there, especially considering what we've heard about their divorce up until now, so let's dig into what Cavallari said a bit.

First off, Cavallari and Cuter may have celebrated his special day together with their kids, but she did not make that fact public until the next day. I happen to think that she was probably just tired from a day of hanging with both the children and her ex, with what appears to be a chunk of that time happening outdoors at some sort of sportsball field. But, there are people in her comments who think she was being shady by not posting this picture or wishing Cutler a happy Father's Day until Monday. I can withhold judgement there, though, because divorce is hard and sometimes you need to get some licks in to feel OK...OK?

Then, Kristin Cavallari reveals something kind of big, noting that they all spent their time at her new house. If you've been following news on their divorce, you might remember that Cavallari getting her own place during this time was not an easy thing. Court documents have indicated that she began looking for her own home in the fall of last year, only to stop when she and Cuter decided to try and work things out.

After the family's vacation in the Bahamas turned into an extended quarantine and they were finally able to return to Nashville, both realized the romance was done, and Cavallari started house hunting again. She said in divorce documents that Cutler had been making "inappropriate statements to and about" her in front of the kids, in what she felt was an effort to start arguments with their children watching. But, Cutler, who had apparently told her he would not leave the home, got their joint business manager to refuse to release the money Cavallari would need to get a new home.

Kristin Cavallari had asked that a judge force the release of her part of the couple's shared funds so that she could get out of the house and live with her children, so that must have been done since she made her request, which was shortly after announcing the divorce to the public. Cavallari spoke up in mid-May about quarantining with her kids at Very Cavallari co-star and celebrity hairstylist Justin Anderson's house, so it's good that she was able to get a place before too long.

The other big thing that Cavallari noted in her caption, is that she and Cutler now seem to be "navigating" "co-parenting," and doing it "the best way we know how," which is already a big change from just a few weeks ago. She even saw fit to say that their kids are lucky to have him, and hope that they take after him and "get a smidge of that heart of gold," which is not something people typically say about someone who, allegedly, made them cry at work all the time.

I really do hope that Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are truly on their way to being able to divorce without public slings and arrows being thrown about. And, with their time as a family on Father's Day, it looks like that might really be the way forward for them.

Now, though, after weathering some of that turmoil, Cavallari is finally able to get back to work.

The former Very Cavallari star, who quit her show just last week amid the beginning of those tense divorce proceedings with Jay Cutler, took to her Instagram feed to let all of her fans know that, despite the tough time she's had of late, she's back to work at her budding jewelry and fashion empire, Uncommon James. And, Kristin Cavallari looks like she's weathering her personal storm quite well right now. Take a look!

While this lovely picture of a smiling Kristin Cavallari at her Uncommon James office, which has its flagship store in Nashville, is clearly very well curated so that everything on her desk looks perfectly "getting down to business," after hearing about some of the things that may have been going on with Cavallari and Cutler, possibly for a long time, it's just nice to see her look happy. I mean, I'm not entirely convinced that that smile is really reaching her eyes, but sometimes you gotta fake it 'til you make it. And, who wouldn't be happy after sitting in that gorgeous office for a bit and rocking cute butterscotch leather shorts?

The problems with Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler haven't sprung up out of nowhere, as fans of Very Cavallari will know. While Cutler did help out as Cavallari launched her business, he rarely seemed totally invested, and that often came across on camera. Once they announced their divorce, reports began to surface that Cutler was so mean / inconsiderate to Cavallari on the set of the show that he had been known to make her cry in front of the rest of the cast and the crew. We've also heard that the problems with their marriage of seven years really began to show about three years ago.

While Kristin Cavallari hasn't confirmed or denied either of those reports, documents that she's filed with her divorce papers do seem to indicate that there were a lot of problems with the relationship. Both Cutler and Cavallari noted "irreconcilable differences" in their divorce filings, but she added that Cutler was "guilty of such inappropriate marital conduct as renders further cohabitation unsafe and improper."

Cavallari also later added that Cutler wouldn't leave the family home, but also wouldn't let their business manager release the funds she would need to get another home for her and their children. On top of that, she noted in additional papers filed that Cutler had been saying "inappropriate" things "to and about" her within earshot of the kids and also trying to start fights with her in front of them. This is likely the reason that Cavallari and her children have been spending quarantine hunkered down with her friend Justin Anderson his fiancé, who were also present for that vacation to the Bahamas.

Hopefully, getting back to work will help Kristin Cavallari add some structure back into her life amid the divorce chaos, and that smile will reach her eyes before much longer. Unfortunately for fans of Very Cavallari, its titular star has decided to bring it to an end at E! after three seasons. The complicated marital problems between Cavallari and husband Jay Cutler won't make it to the small screen as content for a new season of Very Cavallari. The star herself broke the news with a social media post, but she was all smiles in her chosen picture.

The third season of Very Cavallari finished airing on March 19, 2020. While what turns out to be the series finale didn't end on Kristin Cavallari saying a final farewell to viewers, the end of the show may not come as much of a surprise to many. Reveals concerning Cavallari's relationship with husband Jay Cutler explain why she's starting a new chapter.

In late April, news broke that Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler were divorcing. While Cavallari originally broke the news by stating that she and Cutler had love and respect for each other and had simply grown apart, details later emerged to shed some light on what happened. Both Cavallari and Cutler cited "irreconcilable differences" in the divorce filing, but Cavallari added "inappropriate marital conduct."

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler shocked fans at the end of April when they announced, in the midst of worldwide quarantine orders, that they were divorcing after 10 years as a couple, seven of which they'd spent married. While that initial news made the split sound amicable enough, things got heated pretty quickly, and now we know how Cavallari has been spending her quarantine time during those divorce proceedings.

The entrepreneur and Very Cavallari star recently spoke to her stylist, Dani Michelle, on an Instagram Live (via E! News), and decided to be totally honest about what life is like for her and her three children (7-year-old Camden, 6-year-old Jaxon, and 4-year-old Saylor) during quarantine, including where they're living and how her schedule has changed. Here's what Cavallari had to say:

Well, it makes a lot of sense that Kristin Cavallari wouldn't have stayed in the same house with her soon-to-be ex-husband Jay Cutler during this time, which is stressful enough for a lot of people. Instead, Cavallari and her children have bunked with her good friend, and Very Cavallari co-star, celebrity hairstylist Justin Anderson. Cavallari said that they've actually been staying with Anderson since returning from a three-week family trip to the Bahamas, where Anderson and his fiancé, Jay, were also along for the vacation (along with Cutler).

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler got word of the stay at home order while in the Bahamas with their kids, but eventually made their way back to Nashville, which they've called home. There were already rumors that the couple had been trying to make their marriage work for quite some time, which were really fueled by speculation that Cutler cheated on Cavallari with a former friend of hers (which was denied by all parties). So, if this trip was meant to be a final family vacation before announcing their split, it's pretty easy to understand why they'd head back and live apart immediately.

It only took a couple of days for the divorce to go from the outward appearance of a non-contentious one to looking like something that could get very messy. Cavallari added "inappropriate marital conduct" to her divorce filing, along with citing "irreconcilable differences" as Cutler had, and Cutler said in his filing that he was the "at-home parent" who provided most of the care for their kids, which Cavallari took exception to.

Kristin Cavallari later filed additional divorce papers, which stated that she was trying to find a home for her and her kids, only to have Jay Cutler tell their business manager not to release the money she'd need to obtain her own home. Those same papers also alleged that Cutler was trying to instigate arguments with her in front of their children by saying "inappropriate" things to and about her, and she feared the situation would get worse once he refused to leave the home.

If Cutler is capable of being mean enough to Cavallari to make her cry, which is rumored to have happened on the set of Very Cavallari, then it's no wonder she packed up the family to stay with Justin Anderson.

Only things may not be as they seem as some people are accusing Kristin Cavallari of congratulating herself on Mother’s Day.

Let’s break this down. On Mother’s Day Kristin Cavallari shared a post of herself and her own mother as well as a separate one depicting the three kids she shares with Jay Cutler. She called being a mom “the greatest gift.” All of that’s fine, sentimental and lovely. It’s also not why people are roasting Cavallari.

Instead, it’s all about Jay Cutler’s Mother’s Day post, which looks like this:

That seems like a remarkably civil post from a dude who is currently divorcing his wife, which would indicate things are at least fairly amicable with the couple. Right? Not so fast. A while back, Kristin Cavallari admitted on Instagram stories that she’s actually the person running Jay Cutler’s Instagram account. She admitted she was the person running her then-husband’s account on Instagram Stories way back in 2018:

That’s why the account is called “ifjayhadinstagram. If that still holds true, that would mean that she not only posted a Mother’s Day message to herself but also responded to that message with a heart emoji.

Fans were quick to point this out in the comments, noting that it’s Kristin Cavallari’s team who runs the social media account. There are lots of refrains similar to this one:

Others took a more direct approach, calling Kristin Cavallari out for updating Jay Cutler's account.

Some seemed a little more upset than they probably needed to be, using all caps to illustrate their points.

However, there’s always a chance that Jay Cutler has taken over his social media since separating from Kristin Cavallari, which would honestly make this whole thing a rather nice exchange as the couple separates. In fact, his Instagram bio does currently say “I don’t have Instagram, but if I did...and now I do," although I never paid close enough attention to what the bio said before to know how long that's been there.

Regardless, given what we are used to with reality shows like Very Cavallari, this sort of possibly fake post is certainly plausible and would not be the wildest thing we’ve seen a reality star do if true. Obviously, it seems like lots of people want to believe Cavallari wrote the post and then hearted it, because that’s way more dramatic and amusing than a couple getting along while divorcing.

While some think Jay Cutler deserves a rest, other people really feel as if Jay Cutler has been open about his personality the entire time the couple has been married and this is not new news.

And this fan simply wants to make it understood he feels NFL fans are the only ones allowed to speak about Jay Cutler’s work ethic.

The gist of the original Page 6 report indicated Kristin Cavallari found Jay Cutler to be “unmotivated” following his retirement from football. It suggests that she thought he’d be big in the sports broadcasting world by now, as has happened with other retired players before him, but instead he wasn’t doing much before she landed their hit show Very Cavallari.

In general, divorce is just a messy process. If you throw in fame and strangers being willing to say whatever they want on the internet, it gets even messier. The good news is that both parties seem to now be wanting to move forward now and get the process done fairly quickly, even reaching a custody agreement for their three kids. Jay Cutler also reportedly released funds to Kristin Cavallari just a few weeks after things seemed to be getting heated between the two. This calmer news comes after early paperwork was combative and intense for the couple.

People have some thoughts about Kristin Cavallari, too, as Jay Cutler had to release funds so she could buy a house recently. Meanwhile, this Very Cavallari clip exists where she says she should be able to mooch off Cutler but keep her own money separate.

Still, some online users are hoping the couple has largely avoided the news cycle around their impending divorce.

Without missing a beat, Cavallari said the following to the soon-to-be-wed woman.

The moment got a big laugh from the room, and even Jay Cutler got a smile on his face after hearing Kristin Cavallari say that. The clip (via TMZ) ended not long after the laughter died, so it's unclear whether or not Cavallari continued on with some actual advice for the person who asked the question, or just pressed onward with the next question. One would think the former, or the moment would've gotten some more attention at the time.

Regardless of what happened, the moment was likely less of a joke to the couple than attendees thought, given what has been alleged in recent court documents. It is now known that Kristin Cavallari began searching for a home in late fall of 2019 due to marital issues with Jay Cutler, but temporarily stopped after the two vowed to try and work on their marriage.

Jay Cutler and Kristin Cavallari officially separated in April, though documents also say the two went about conversations to how to approach the divorce as early as March. Both those dates are later than this store opening in February, so it's unclear just how serious the couple was about ending their marriage when the video was shot. In the wake of these allegations and rumors, a source has told E! News that the man in Kelly Henderson's photo is not Jay Cutler. Furthermore, the source implied that Henderson's silence on the post and potentially the use of the bracelet was a means of drawing attention to herself as the divorce drama rages on:
