Steve Harvey’s been known to hilariously react whenever faced with wild responses on Family Feud, the talk show he’s hosted since 2010. Given that, it’s hard not to wonder how 68-year-old Harvey reacts when faced with unexpected situations in his personal life. Well, the media personality experienced such a moment after his now-28-year-old daughter, Lori, posed for Playboy. Lori – a social media maven and socialite – recently recalled the funny story of how she broke the news to her parents.

Lori Harvey’s Playboy spread was unveiled this past January, and she appeared in several photos for the magazine. It would be natural to wonder just how Harvey would tell mother Marjorie and father Steve (who adopted her when he married her mom). Well, as Lori explained on The Jennifer Hudson Show (as seen on YouTube), she did tell her folks… just not right away:

Upon hearing about the shoot, Marjorie Harvey didn’t believe her daughter had actually posed for the Hugh Hefner-birthed publication. With that, the curious mother actually reached out to a number of people in her daughter’s orbit to receive confirmation. The older Harvey was initially taken aback but, once she saw the photos, she even admitted her daughter’s snapshots were “cute.” Still, Lori didn’t want Steve to find out until the issue was released, yet her mother spilled the beans almost immediately, leading Steve to ask:

If that’s not classic Steve Harvey, then I don’t know what is. Honestly, I can hear him asking that very question in the exhausted way Lori described. But, as she went on to explain, once he actually saw the photos, he said, ‘Oh, this is nice.’ It sounds like Steve is a man who appreciates tasteful content, and that’s funny considering some of the wild moments he’s experienced as one of our best game show hosts.

The Family Feud host has had to contend with a few NSFW-adjacent moments on air. For instance, there was the time he was left speechless due to some contestants' responses to a “sexy dreams” question. However, even Harvey himself, during an episode, joked about wearing a dildo, and he mimicked sex moves. So, yeah, the man has quite a wild sense of humor.

Of course, all of that is a far cry from the photoshoot done by Lori Harvey, who’s also posed for Sports Illustrated. Harvey has certainly been making a name for herself in recent years, gracing both magazine covers and red carpets. Steve seems quite proud of his daughter and, if his funny and honest reaction to her Playboy shoot is any indication, he remains supportive.

I don’t know what Steve Harvey is expected to do now that reports indicate Harvey is dating Damson Idris, whom she also dated back in 2023. While Steve's not supposed to be palling around with his daughter's exes, he did get surprisingly candid about his true feelings related to some of the men his daughter has dated. Now, though, he's proud of his daughter and how far along she's come in the dating game.

Lori's only 28, so she has plenty of time to figure out all the different types of fish available in the sea, but she could definitely do worse than a dad who is rooting for her to find a good person. And who's willing to forgo any handshakes with exes because she says so.

Quite a different look these days, I'd say.

The swimsuit Lori Harvey is wearing comes from her Yevrah Swim brand, which she launched in August 2023, resurrecting the name from the defunct shoe line started by her brother Jason Harvey. Part of her inspiration for bringing that company to life was a goal landing a Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, and it's bonkers that she reached that goal in less than half a year.

Her mom Marjorie Harvey shared some love in the comments, as did quite a few other friends and followers from the worlds of modeling and entertainment, such as Bachelor vet Rachel Kirkconnel and her own brand.

Having also recently landed a major photo shoot with Harper's Bazaar along with Emily Ratajkowski (who's given mob wife vibes of late), Amelia Hamlin and Alek Wek, Lori Harvey isn't just aiming to get her Ibiza Wrap Bikini in front of as many faces as possible. Heidi Klum knows how to rock a trend in a totally unique and daring way. From wearing a sheer dress that looked like water to the Avatar: The Way of Water premiere to her throwing it back to the early ‘00s with a butt-baring dress, the America’s Got Talent judge is always pushing the boundaries of what’s trendy. 

That was 100% the case at the iHeart Radio Music Awards this spring when the model wore a sparkly blue Julien Macdonald dress, per Hollywood Life, that featured both a fun side cutout and played into the ongoing underboob trend that celebrities have been loving for the last year.

Janelle Monáe 

While Janelle Monáe loves a futuristic fashion moment, they also adore a timeless look too – like this gorgeous red Cong Tri gown they wore to the NAACP Image Awards in February, per WWD. With a bold red lip and some fab red heels, the Glass Onion actor absolutely slayed the red carpet in this incredible dress that featured a slit all the way up their leg and a fun cut-out on the side with some flattering ruching. 

Olivia Wilde 

While Florence Pugh has reinvented the sheer trend over and over again, her Don’t Worry Darling director, Olivia Wilde is totally killing this side cutout trend. At the 2023 Met Gala, which honored Chanel’s longtime creative designer Karl Lagerfeld, Wilde wore a white Chloé design with gold detailing that featured side cutouts on both sides of her abdomen.

According to Vogue, it was inspired by a Chloé design from the spring 1983 collection and music, which you can see with the violin-like shape at the center of the dress.

Lori Harvey 

Showing off a slightly more casual version of the side cutout trend, Lori Harvey wore a white dress to the Revolve Festival earlier this spring during Coachella. The look leans into the streetwear style that’s been a big trend for the last couple of years, and it capitalizes on the side cutout having a major moment. Her black bag and sunglasses tie the sneakers into the look perfectly, and the gold waist chain and hand chain bring the ensemble together. 

Kim Kardashian

If you want to talk about a woman who is always at the forefront of fashion, look no further than Kim Kardashian. While she’s cooked up some wild trends of her own, she also knows how to rock whatever is having a moment – this includes a sidecut out dress. 

During an outing in New York City, she wore a Gucci maxi dress, per Page Six, that featured two cutouts on her hips and two more on her side. The edgy ensemble with the slicked-back updo was such a good look for her, and both on-brand and on-trend. 

Shania Twain

Like a lot of the fashionistas on this list, Shania Twain loves a bold look that’s both on trend and totally unique to her. At this year’s CMT Music Awards, the Queen of Me artist rocked a super fun sheer butterfly-inspired dress by Prabal Gurung, per People. Complimenting the red and black sheer fabric, the cut of the dress also helps show off the butterfly effect with the two cutouts at her waist acting as the center point, while the top and bottom of the dress flutter out almost like wings. 

The “Man! I Feel Like a Woman” singer is known for her high-fashion and confident looks. Shania Twain loves a bold and unique moment, and she proved that by going topless for her album cover, and proudly repurposing her clothes on tour. She also loves to be experimental on the red carpet, while remaining on-trend, as she did with this cutout gown. 

Hilaria Baldwin  

In late 2022, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin went out for a night on the town to attend The Museum Gala at the American Museum of Natural History. Two months after giving birth to her and the actor’s seventh kid, according to Page Six, they went to this event, and she thrived in a Joy Cioci gown that featured a gorgeous cutout at her waist. 

The velvet look, perfect for the holidays, also featured a white bow that tied the dress together right below the cutout. To top it off, Hilaria wore her hair up, and paired the dress with some sparkly silver earrings and pumps. All around, this mom of seven absolutely killed the carpet in this trendy fit. 

Gigi Hadid 

You can always count on Gigi Hadid to take on a trend in a super fun way, and she did just that by wearing a dress to the Met Gala in 2023 that featured fun side cutouts and radiated Y2K energy. Harper’s Bazaar called it a “Goth Naked” look while describing the sheer ensemble, and I totally agree. The naked dress has been a beloved staple for the red carpet recently, and the model stepped up her take on it by also playing into the side cutout trend.

Like Wilde’s look, Hadid’s custom Givenchy dress was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld’s work, and you can feel that through the black gloves, and black and white color scheme. However, it’s also unique to her, and I love how the cutouts help give off a punk Y2K vibe that is very in at the moment. 

Overall, side cutouts are having a moment, and these people really know how to rock it. As the 2023 TV schedule keeps rolling along, more 2023 movie releases come out, more red-carpet events and fashion shows will happen, and I’m sure we’ll see more celebs donning this trend in the near future. I for one can’t wait. The cutouts are a way to make a look totally different from anything else, and it shows just how playful fashion can be, as these folks proved with their wonderful dresses.

But Lori Harvey was no slouch over the holiday weekend either as she was in New Orleans, Louisiana. She was there as a keynote speaker for the 2022 Essence Festival over the same weekend. The model took to her Instagram to show her love and appreciation for the Big Easy and its much-beloved cuisines.

This development came a mere two weeks after his ex-girlfriend erased photos from better times in the former couple’s relationship. If you look at his Instagram feed, Jordan has nothing but images of himself or other stars, including magazine covers. His page looks similar to Harvey with her feed dedicated to photos featuring just herself. Of course, compared to his ex, the Chronicle star’s page has fewer images as he rarely posts on the platform.

It appeared Jordan took some time to process the heartbreak before completely removing his former love from his life. It was reported that the Hollywood star took things hard as the former couple allegedly broke up after a year over being at separate phases in their lives. Sources claimed Jordan wanted to settle down while Harvey wanted to continue having fun. Of course, these diverging goals made sense as the former couple had a ten-year age gap with the actor being 35 and his former flame being 25.

Like any public breakup, some are Team MBJ and others are Team Lori. As expected, Harvey’s mom Marjorie Harvey is on her daughter’s side. She left a cryptic message after the news broke. She alluded to their relationship being less-than-picture-perfect as Jordan and Harvey’s social media lovefest might’ve given. Alas, thing ultimately didn’t end up working out with them romantically, although they reportedly “still love each other.”

After seriously commenting on Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan breaking up after roughly a year and half together, Steve Harvey joked about how they managed to romantically separate without any financial complications, something he wasn’t able to avoid with his two divorces. In Harvey’s words:

As far as why Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan are going their separate ways, while nether have publicly commented on the breakup, according to an unnamed source, Jordan “matured a lot over the course of their relationship and was ready to commit for the long term.” He subsequently “let down his guard for the first time in a romantic relationship,” and it’s possible that she wasn’t ready to take things that far with him. Though the threads are nice, the messages exchanged between her and her boyfriend are especially sweet, and it’s been refreshing to see just how openly affectionate they are. In the past, Lori Harvey has shouted out her boyfriend in a few sweet ways, such as sharing a pitch-perfect thought when he dropped a shirtless photo. Of course, the two don’t just discuss each other’s physical appearances. For instance, they’ve also opened up about “missing” each other amid production on Creed 3. 

The two rarely talk in detail about their romance (aside from a fun workout story or other memory) yet Lori Harvey has spoken out about what she views as the keys to their relationship. For her, communication is important, as she feels it helps to ensure that couples are “on the same page.” She also advised that a couple should be “friends first.” 

This seems to be working for the two, as they’re still going strong (and have even earned the blessing of Steve Harvey, Lori’s stepfather). Though they make it look easy, maintaining a relationship in the public eye is challenging and, hopefully, these two can continue to deftly handle their Hollywood romance. And in the process, maybe we’ll get even more sweet interactions involving each other’s red carpet looks.

What’s it like to date Marvel actor, Creed star and former Sexiest Man Alive all wrapped into one, Michael B. Jordan, you ask? As it turns out, even one of the most fit couples in Hollywood deal with high and lows when it comes to balancing being happy in love and staying on top of fitness. Lori Harvey recently shared her fitness journey on social media, but of course fans are laser-focused on her casually calling her boyfriend “Mike.” 

Recently, model, businesswoman and daughter of Steve Harvey, Lori Harvey, took to TikTok to share that there was a time early in her relationship with Jordan when she gained weight. Since then, she has found herself a program to stay at her desired weight, and it is inspiring others to sign up for pilates. Check out the video: 

As Lori Harvey shared in a car video after leaving a pilates class, she actually gained 15 pounds of “relationship weight” right after she and “Mike” got together, and she recalled it was “horrible.” The model could not fit into any of her clothes, and she decided to focus on a serious fitness routine. Harvey proceeded to share what worked for her, but a lot of the comments on the video could not get over her calling Michael B. Jordan. Here are some examples:

Lori Harvey hit back at one commenter, saying, “Girl you want me to call him by his full name?!” Obviously due to the actor’s major fame, we’re not used to hearing people call him by a title any shorter than his full name, but she is his girlfriend and most definitely allowed to call him just "Mike." It’s certainly a funny element of the video to take away from it given all the fitness information she spills, but it was clearly noticeable by many viewers. 

During the real-talk video, Lori Harvey shared that she decided to work out almost every day when she was trying to lose her “relationship weight,” and she would also have an intake of 1,200 calories a day, eating mostly meat and veggies and skipping the carbs however she could. Pilates has been a big part of Harvey's exercise routine for the past year (she even brought Jordan along before), but she also did a lot of cardio, like using the treadmill, going on hikes or running stairs. Their consistent work on fitness has certainly paid off for the two of them: 

Her fitness lifestyle is no joke! But, of course, Lori Harvey is a literal model, and she disclosed in comments of the video that “everyone is different,” and people should “tailor your needs to meet your goals.” 

Jordan and Harvey have reportedly been dating since late 2020, and they are going strong over a year and a half later. Harvey has been open about the key to their relationship’s success being to “communicate” and “over communicate” with one another. Jordan recently filmed Creed III, which led to more time apart from their already busy schedules, but they seem to consistently make time for one another. 

Creed III is expected to be Michael B. Jordan’s next movie, and is slated to come out among the other 2022 upcoming movies on November 23.

Of course, speaking about his youngest daughter brought out his inner papa bear when asked if he has any relationship advice for the Hollywood star. In typical Steve Harvey fashion, the sitcom vet had a hilarious yet serious response, saying,

Like any growing relationship, his daughter and the actor need to learn more about each other on their terms and time. The youngest Harvey daughter already cited the Judge Steve Harvey arbitrator and her mother as the blueprint for her year-old romance. Communication is important in Harvey and Jordan’s relationship from what she observed in her parent’s relationship. Despite his non-advice for the young couple, he wants them to succeed as fans do.

The Black Panther actor and the comedian have developed quite a relationship outside of his daughter. Their fluent rapport was obvious as Jordan interviewed Harvey for Paper Magazine where he was honest about his TV persona is only one side of himself. That was major development after Steve Harvey initially tried finding reasons to hate the movie star. Of course, he and his wife knowing the Without Remorse actor’s parents beforehand may have made the relationship more acceptable in his eyes.

Even though the rising power couple remains private about their romance, they do give fans little peeks here and there. Recently, the younger Harvey spilled about a time when the former Sexiest Man Alive teased her about her workout routine. Let’s just say he learned Pilates isn’t as easy as it seems… the hard way. He gained more respect for his girlfriend’s fitness routine after that day.

But the duo is still going strong despite their increasingly busy schedules. Of course, Jordan has been spotted around Venice Beach shooting his directorial debut Creed III while his lady builds her lifestyle and beauty brand.

Workouts for blockbuster films require one to lift weights, do circuit training, and box, so pilates clearly didn't sound like much of a challenge for the leading man. On the surface, one may be able to see why he viewed his girlfriend’s mind-body exercise as a lighter form of fitness compared to his physically demanding routines. However, the actor more than ate his words when he tried it for himself:

Like the model, I was initially surprised, but this makes sense. For many men, working out is more about building muscle and strength rather than honing flexibility and balance. The Creed III actor may have been a little stiff when it came to centering his core. With that, he learned the hard way pilates is no joke. Funny enough, Lori Harvey did admit that her Hollywood boyfriend hasn’t worked out with her since then, but I'm sure that's not for lack of trying.

The significant others have been open about missing each other as the actor works on his directorial debut. Making movies, for the most part, seems like it’s a pretty cool job that’s lots of fun. You get to travel to different places and often see things you might not otherwise get to see. But there is potentially a downside as all that travel can take you away from your loved ones for extended periods. Such is the case currently with Michael B. Jordan and Lori Harvey, who are adorably missing each other which Jordan directs and stars in Creed III.

Lori Harvey shared a hilarious image on Instagram that shows her laughing at something which has caused Michael B. Jordan to give her some serious side eye. She mentions that she misses him, and Jordan responded to the image saying that he also misses her. Seriously, these two are too cute. 

The thing that is keeping the lovebirds apart is the production of a little movie called Creed III. The newest movie in the franchise that was born form the Rocky films is currently shooting and this time, in addition to starring in it, Michael B. Jordan is directing the feature. It will be his directorial debut, and one can guess he’s pretty focused on the film. While he’s likely separated from his girlfriend by distance, Jordan's also got a lot to do and likely wouldn’t have much time for a personal life.

Creed III will also be a different movie for Michael B. Jordan in front of the camera as well as behind it. It’s the first movie in the series that will not include Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa. While Jordan’s Adonis Creed has always been the focus of these recent films, he’s also shared screen time with Stallone, but he will likely be carrying the story of Creed III largely on his own. Although it’s possible we could see an expanded role for Tessa Thompson in the sequel now that there’s more room for her.

What the actual story of Creed III will be is very much still a mystery. Without Stallone’s involvement it seems likely that it will be a plot that doesn’t directly connect to Rocky himself the way the last two movies have. In the same way that the Rocky movies simply introduced a new challenger for Balboa in each film, we’ll likely see a new character come along who wants to take down the champ. In this case that role is being played by Jonathan Majors, though details on the character are few.

While Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan are clearly looking forward to seeing each other again, the rest of us are looking forward to Creed III. The movie doesn’t have nan official release date yet but considering that the movie isn’t going to require the sort of post-production work that often delays movies after filming is wrapped, a release at the end of 2022 is still very likely. 

For many decades now, Steve Harvey has carved out a specific niche for himself in the entertainment industry as both an actor and comedian. He’s also been considered somewhat of a style icon for his old-school, three-piece big suits and more modern silk-cladded ensembles. But before all that, Mr. Blue Cheese himself is first and foremost a father – in particular, father to model Lori Harvey, who is currently dating Michael B. Jordan. The longtime Family Feud host recently had a funny response after being asked about whether he’d approve of the Creed actor marrying his daughter.

The couple have, technically, been dating for just over a year now – so it might be a little soon to speculate such matters. After that, the game show host jokingly took a swig of what looked like hard liquor. So it’s not a yes, but it’s also not quite a no either, should Michael B. Jordan be considering popping the question to Lori Harvey. If the answer is really a hard no, from both the father and daughter, I know of quite a few who would like to volunteer in her stead…

Most likely, though, the comedian won’t actually take issue with having Black Panther royalty amongst his extended family. In fact, Michael B. Jordan interviewed Steve Harvey for his recent cover of Paper Magazine, where they discussed Harvey’s desire to transcend how people view him on television. Their obvious rapport with one another jumped off the page, with the piece ending on Harvey asking if the actor loved his daughter Lori. Jordan’s answer was affirmative on that score, to which the patriarch jokingly responded:

If Steve Harvey is already referring to Michael B. Jordan as “Mike” and “young soldier,” then perhaps he in turn will be referring to Harvey as “pops” one of these days soon. For her part, Lori Harvey has shared that her relationship with Jordan remains strong despite public scrutiny because they are “friends first” and “overcommunicate” in order to be on the same page.

We’ll just have to wait to see if wedding bells are communicated in Michael B. Jordan’s romantic future. The more pressing cinematic future, in the meantime, will see Jordan returning to the ring again in Creed III which is slated for release at the end of the year. While Jordan couldn’t attend Harvey’s birthday celebration, he did pick up the check for his partner and her group of friends. An alleged partygoer mentioned Lori Harvey’s manager Tre Thomas referred to the star’s absence as he toasted the birthday girl:

But the A Journal for Jordan star missing out on his significant other’s big day wasn’t a major surprise. Jordan has been prepping for his directorial debut for almost two years. The actor mentioned the holiday didn’t exist to him as he worked to get Creed III ready for its production start date. His co-stars Tessa Thompson and Jonathan Majors can attest to that fact. He’s had complete tunnel vision as he wears multiple hats on the sequel.

Of course, in prepping for the film, Michael B. Jordan decided to learn from the best – his A Journal for Jordan director Denzel Washington. He joined the romantic drama so he could shadow and question The Tragedy of Macbeth star about his techniques and on-set habits. Jordan recalled how the Washington used his acting prowess to dictate the film’s environment. He even hooked Jordan up with a storyboard artist before the Without Remorse star got in the director's chair. So Jordan seemingly learned quite a bit from the two-time Oscar winner.

That doesn’t mean the Fruitvale Station star’s girlfriend has been far from his mind. Since going public in 2020, the couple has been all over Instagram with their vacay pics. The usually private Harvey even went spoke about on they balanced their public and private moments. Of course, the entrepreneur hasn’t complained about the actor’s absence as her stepfather Steve Harvey is a known workaholic juggling multiple jobs.

Jordan had a very intriguing conversation with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live about said facial hair. During the convo, Kimmel actually hedged that Jordan was going for a “beyond Steve Harvel-level mustache.” To which, the actor at the time responded, “Yes, I’m actually -- I want to challenge him to a mustache-off.” The fans have not forgotten this moment.

But even knowing there’s a little bit of a rivalry there does not help certain comparisons go away for some fans. In fact, one "can't unsee it."

Jordan in a fight compared to his stepdaughter’s other exes, but we'll assume that's not the only reason why he's so nice to the younger actor. Ellen DeGeneres also felt that Jordan was more serious about his relationship with Lori Harvey, at least compared to his past girlfriends. She reassured Harvey that Jordan and his stepdaughter might be in it for the long haul, to which Harvey whispered, “Oh, god, I hope so.”

Steve Harvey’s expression told the story of a father who’s watched his little girl go from one not-so-amazing relationship to the next. Considering Lori Harvey’s high-profile relationships in years prior, the older Harvey had every right to wary of someone like Jordan. But given his words about Jordan, the Family Feud host appears to have taken a major liking to the Hollywood star.

Ellen DeGeneres was the latest stop on Steve Harvey’s Michael B. Jordan & Lori Harvey Love Tour (not a real title). He recently joked about Jordan’s Sexiest Man Alive title on Jimmy Kimmel Live! while calling him “a nice guy.” He even talked about the Hollywood couple on his talk show, where he first mentioned liking the actor. I see a pattern forming here. Much like Harvey, fans of the couple are hoping this relationship is here to stay, for a while at least.

Steve Harvey is very well known for being one of the busiest men in the business of show, but, recently, another member of his family has also come to the forefront more. Harvey's daughter, Lori, made some serious headlines earlier this year when it was revealed that she's begun dating Black Panther villain and Creed franchise star Michael B. Jordan. As you may know, Jordan was named People's Sexiest Man Alive last November, and, of course, when asked about the new romance recently, Harvey made sure to bring up Jordan's title.

Rumors that Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan were an item surfaced when photos of the duo leaving a private jet over Thanksgiving weekend leaked. But, then, early January saw those reports ramp up once chatter began that they had vacationed in Utah over New Year's weekend. Now, the news is official, and when Steve Harvey appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live recently, he had this to say when asked about the relationship between Jordan and his daughter:

I mean, I think we all already appreciate the fact that Steve Harvey is going to keep it as real as possible no matter what, right? When Harvey, well-dressed (as usual) in the most red I believe I've ever seen on one person who is not wearing a dress or onesie, answered, he even gave special emphasis on the "not" and the "to me" in his reply, just in case any of us would have even a shred of doubt as to his beliefs in the matter.

I'm sure a lot of parents would be a bit incredulous, taken aback or even just totally unsure if their daughter were to begin dating someone famous, not to mention someone who's been named the Sexiest Man Alive. But, as we know, very little truly seems to ruffle the brightly-colored feathers of seasoned comedian / host / author Steve Harvey. In fact, Harvey was asked about his impression of Michael B. Jordan just a few weeks back, once it was confirmed that Jordan and Lori Harvey were an item, and he had this to say, in part:

You know? I can't come close to faulting the man, despite the millions of people who surely disagree with his assessment of Jordan's sexiness. Steve Harvey is a man of his convictions, and, as always, he's just calling it like he sees it!

On January 10th, Lori Harvey and Michael B. Jordan announced to Instagram that they were in love. But these two are too classy to write long sappy captions or really provide much of an explanation at all because while I’m sitting here analyzing everything they do, it’s none of my business. Jordan kept it slightly cryptic with super dark pics and no caption as if to say “if you know, you know, and if you don’t, you will” like he knew I was going to be sad and tried to spare my feelings. Harvey gave us much better lighting and a brown heart emoji, and when her friends started pouring love into the comments I couldn’t help but be excited, too.

Lori Harvey And Michael B. Jordan Had Fun In The Snow

On January 13th, Lori Harvey celebrated her 24th birthday. She and bae Michael B. Jordan had a photoshoot in the snow and he shared the special moment on Instagram. The image is adorable. They’re clearly happy to just be standing next to each other in the snow. But the video is where it hurts. Her playful irritation when she’s really having the best time, his laugh, their faces when they fall to the ground together… they’re not flaunting the relationship, they’re giving us an honest look at a moment of their lives and it’s so beautiful. It makes me so happy it actually burns a little, and yet I can’t keep replaying it.

On January 24th, the pair enjoyed a sunny yacht vacation and Michael B. Jordan was completely over sparing my feelings. He went full on thirst trap with this shirtless post, on which girlfriend Lori Harvey left a playful comment staking her claim (as she has every right to) and they went from sharing to bragging but I ain’t mad at ‘em. I will note here the reverse happened on Harvey’s Instagram for those wishing they were Michael B. Jordan in this scenario. As painful as it is to witness for those of us longing to be disgustingly in love, the world needs more of it so keep on keepin’ on, lovebirds.

While I have no problem cheering myself through life, part of the beauty of having a partner is getting to share your successes, celebrate together, and have your own personal cheerleader. If that personal cheerleader looked like Michael Bae Jordan, you don't even need to enter the lottery but I digress. Michael B. Jordan and his lady love Lori Harvey have been pouring on the support for each other's career moves and every time it squeezes my lil heart.

That is Steve Harvey’s new reality, as his daughter, Lori, is now dating Black Panther’s Michael B. Jordan. While the Family Feud host may have that sick feeling dads get when their daughter has another man in their life, he seems to be holding it together pretty well. In fact, his response to the pairing is probably the best Michael B. Jordan could hope for, considering his new girlfriend’s dad could easily put him on blast.

Steve Harvey, being the well known TV personality that he is, used his own talk show to share his thoughts on his daughter Lori dating award-winning actor Michael B. Jordan. Harvey said that although he does like and approve of Jordan, there is a piece of him that will always be ready to hate him if need be. In his own words:

Is it a little harsh? I mean, yeah. Steve Harvey is known as a man who likes to keep it real, and he would be lying if he were to say he was wholly won over by Michael B. Jordan’s charm. Like any protective father, he’s going to want to make sure his daughter is taken care of in the long term, and the new couple have only been official for a couple weeks.

Considering how new the relationship is, Steve Harvey giving any semblance of approval could be considered a win for Michael B. Jordan. It’s a win that comes with a warning, though. In the same segment of The Steve Harvey Morning Show, Harvey makes sure to humble Jordan. He says that when it comes to them, Jordan’s title of Sexiest Man Alive doesn’t mean anything, and his approval rating with Harvey can change at a flip of a switch. Here it is in Harvey’s own words:

While Lori Harvey is a stunner and potentially having Steve Harvey as an in law would make family get-togethers insanely comedic experiences, Michael B. Jordan just may be sweating his position now. No one wants to be on Steve Harvey’s bad side. However, Harvey seems to be a reasonable man and, if Jordan is as gentlemanly as he appears, he should have nothing to worry about.
