It was reported early in the morning on July 21 that Hottle had died in a car accident in Maryland, per TMZ. According to authorities, the person who was driving her went off the road and into a ditch. The actress’s father, Joshua, spoke to the outlet about this, saying he found out that his daughter’s heart stopped on the way to the hospital, and he had to fly there from Texas to get her body.

This is a sentiment that has been relayed by other people and organizations too, as news of Hottle’s death has spread. She was a senior at the Texas School for the Deaf, and in a statement from the school (via NBC News), it was noted that “our hearts are with Kaylee’s family, friends, classmates, and everyone who knew and loved her during this incredibly difficult time.”

While Hottle was part of the Godzilla Vs. Kong ensemble and the New Empire cast, Brown made her debut as Madison Russell in Godzilla: King of the Monsters before reprising the character in the 2021 follow-up. However, she did not return for The New Empire.

Henry Cavill does indeed seem to have some niche interests, including miniature-based war game Warhammer. That love is actually so strong that Cavill is producing a TV show for Prime Video that’s based on the game. It’s also a well known fact that the In the Grey star has a love for technology and, several years back, he built a computer and excitedly posted about it. It’s said that we as people contain multitudes, and I’d say that rings true when it comes to Cavill.

Over the years, Brown has spoken a bit about her on-set relationship with Cavill, who plays older brother Sherlock Holmes to her Enola. The Stranger Things star has spoken about how Cavill has established professional boundaries, which she respects. As for their work, it seems they have no issues there either. With all of these high-intensity action scenes, it's fitting that the Stranger Things icon recently called herself a “female Tom Cruise.” On that note, I also just found out Brown and the Mission: Impossible actor are real-life pals, and their hangouts even involve helicopters.

Tom Cruise became very familiar with helicopters while filming of Mission: Impossible—Fallout. After going through some intense prep work to achieve that insane chopper chase scene in the action flick, he became a licensed pilot. And, per Millie Bobby Brown, the blockbuster star has apparently been trying to extend that love of the craft to her. The British actor recently spoke at the 92nd Street Y for a recording of an upcoming Happy Sad Confused podcast episode and revealed (via People) that she'd “flown his helicopter before:” She also said this about her buddy:

Oh my! Then again, I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less from the daredevil of an actor. Funny enough, though, I'm not sure Brown wants to take him up further helicopter flights or a theoretical plane excursion:

Cruise landed in the family’s backyard after the Coventry Airport closed, and I'm still amazed that such a surreal moment actually happened.

All of that aside, though, I'm just living for the bond between Cruise and Brown. Celebrity friendships can be fun, but they're especially cool when they happen between stars that fans may not have expected to be chums. In this case, I love that stunt work also links these two stars.

Brown deserves her props for consistently doing stunts, even when it makes her want to throw up. She previously expressed how much she’s not a fan of climbing or falling for any of he projects she’s done. At the same time, the Damsel actress says on her Happy Sad Confused episode that she still takes pride in doing her own stunts and hopes to inspire young girls to do the same.

Considering that, I'd love to see Millie Bobby Brown and "dear friend" Tom Cruise perform stunts together in some sort of project. Personally, I think fans would definitely sign up to see the actors who play Ethan Hunt and Eleven team up for an action flick and fly helicopters as part of that. Let’s also remember, though, that Jake Bongiovi is only 24 years old, and parenthood is new to both him and Millie Bobby Brown. We have to give people grace, because it takes time to figure some of this stuff out. The actress went on to insist that Jake Bongiovi doesn’t deserve all the harsh comments, saying:

Millie Bobby Brown is already carrying so much — she shouldn’t have to also hold the weight of the public’s opinions of her marriage on top of it.

Only time will tell if Jake Bongiovi starts to pitch in a little more, but in the meantime, we can see Brown continue to do it all when her upcoming Netflix movie, Enola Holmes 3, becomes available to stream with a Netflix subscription on Wednesday, July 1.

The fifth and final season of Stranger Things concluded nearly six months ago, and it’s still the talk of the town. Its record-breaking, divisive finale left fans with one major question. While the episode gave a happy ending to most characters, Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven seemingly sacrificed herself. However, her true fate was left up in the air, and the Duffer Brothers still haven’t given a straight answer.

After sacrificing herself in the finale, Eleven’s fate should have been sealed right then and there, getting destroyed with the rest of the Upside Down. But during one last Dungeons & Dragons game, Mike implied that it was all an illusion and Eleven was actually in a place where the government can’t find her. It’s still unclear if this is what happened or if Mike just made it up; even the CinemaBlend staff is divided. Creators Matt and Ross Duffer are still keeping their lips locked as to what really happened to Eleven, and that might continue until the end of time, as Ross told The Hollywood Reporter:

Like the gang, I personally believe that Eleven escaped, did not get destroyed in the Upside Down, and is living a new life somewhere far away where she’s safe. It’s somewhat annoying that the Duffers won’t reveal if that’s true or not, but it makes sense. This ending gives fans two choices, and it’s all up to interpretation. And it sounds like they’re not willing to give up Eleven’s fate so easily.

The controversial finale may not have been the universally accepted, but it’s definitely caused a lot of discourse. Plenty of fans have taken to social media and probably their own friend groups to discuss their theories, keeping the show very much alive months after it ended. Even SNL spoofed what’s next when Finn Wolfhard hosted during Season 51. That being said, Matt Duffer is somewhat aware of what most fans seem to believe, and they’re looking on the lighter side:

Since the Duffers love to mess with the audience, I’m not surprised that this is one storyline they’re not going to be straight about. It’s definitely going to keep fans talking for months to come, perhaps even years. Maybe they don’t even know what’s real about Eleven. What is sure is that the ending of Stranger Things is going to be a topic of conversation for quite some time, and all because of the biggest question of them all: What really happened to Eleven?

Now might be a good time to rewatch all five seasons of Stranger Things with a Netflix subscription to see if any clues point to the true ending. It’s possible later in the future the Duffers will share her fate, but for now, the mystery will just have to continue.

In this latest film starring Millie Bobby Brown as the younger sister of Sherlock Holmes, her personal life and professional dreams will get all tangled. That became clear after watching the teaser, too, especially since my biggest question about this movie (seemingly) has nothing to do with the big mystery.

Why Is Enola Surprised By Tewkesbury’s Proposal?

Now, we knew going into Enola Holmes 3 that it would be darker and more grown-up than the two films you can currently stream with a Netflix subscription. However, the teaser makes that fact very clear, as it primarily focuses on the fact that Louis Partridge’s Tewkesbury has proposed to Enola.

It seems like she’s questioning this proposal too, as she says directly to the camera in the trailer:

Well, that’s fascinating, because the trailer starts with them living happily together. So, why would the titular character be unpleasantly shocked by her partner popping the question?

It’s also surprising because this reaction and their relationship are central in this teaser. Arguably, their romance is more central than the fact that Henry Cavill’s Sherlock has been kidnapped.

So, I’m left wondering why Enola was surprised by the proposal. I also can’t help but wonder how his impending wedding will impact the film’s central mystery.

I’m Sure This Proposal Will Have Something To Do With The Mystery

Overall, this trailer seems to highlight two different conflicts Enola has to deal with. One is her impending nuptials. The other is her brother’s disappearance.

Notably, the footage spends significantly more time covering Enola and Tewkesbury’s relationship than Sherlock’s kidnapping. So, that leads me to believe that this proposal that surprised our leading lady has something to do with the bad things that are happening.

It also seems that Enola will spend a lot of the movie wearing a wedding dress and getting into all the action on the day she’s supposed to get married. So, even if the proposal isn't directly linked to the mystery, the mystery will impact this ceremony, it seems.

Therefore, I have to assume that her love interest and the next step in their relationship will play a massive role in this movie’s primary mystery. The film’s synopsis alludes to that idea too, as it says that Mille Bobby Brown’s character will go far away from London, “where personal and professional dreams collide on a case more tangled and treacherous than any she has faced before.”

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait long to see if my question and this mystery surrounding Sherlock collide. That’s because Enola Holmes 3, which is directed by Adolescence’s Philip Barantini, will premiere on the 2026 movie schedule on July 1.

Millie Bobby Brown has already done quite a lot in her life. She helped make Stranger Things a major hit, stars in movies like the Enola Holmes franchise, launched a makeup/skincare/fashion brand, and even married in 2024 and had a kid. Now, the star has turned 22 and shared a cute beach pic with her daughter to celebrate, but she’s been thrown off by actually having to “adult now.”

Some people are able to get a lot done in a relatively short amount of time, and I think most of us would count Millie Bobby Brown among that number. While the actress will now likely be asked about Eleven’s fate for the rest of her life, her part in Stranger Things (which you can revisit with your Netflix subscription) hardly defines her, as she’s already taken on a lot of other meaningful roles.

One of these is in real life, as she and her husband, Jake Bongiovi, welcomed a daughter last year. To celebrate her 22nd birthday, Brown shared a cute photo on Instagram of herself and the youngster. Just look:

Mom and daughter are kinda twinning in a teddy bear-like hooded onesie with ears for the little one, and an oversized sweater with an image of a pup printed on the back. They both look super cozy as they watch the waves at the beach and witness what is either a sunset or a sunrise, with the Enola Holmes 3 (which is coming to the 2026 movie schedule) star saying thanks for her family, friends, animals, and “the birthday wishes” while noting that she’s “so blessed.” What a difference just a couple of years makes, though, right?

If you think that being a boss lady who’s starring in movies and TV shows, running her own businesses and building a life with her husband and child means that adulting isn’t sometimes shocking, however, you’re wrong. At least when it comes to Brown, as she told MTV not long ago:

Yeah, Millie. You’re responsible for ALL THE THINGS now and it does frequently suck. Welcome to the rest of your life! Brown was talking about the fact that she did move out of her parents place when she was 18 (which is pretty common, especially if people go off to college), but only moved next door, so she still went over there for dinner and had lots of help at the adulting part of life.

This likely changed when she and Bongiovi bought their own home in the form of a rural farm in Georgia, which reportedly happened before they announced their engagement. This means that her folks can’t regularly help with all those annoying life things that adults have to take care of daily. You know the drill: meals, laundry, paying bills, sorting out medical appointments, pet care, making sure minor repairs are done around the house…which reminds me, I need to call around and get quotes so someone can fix my deck. Why does wood go bad so quickly? Brown added:

Realizing how hard it is to be an adult because of the sheer amount of stuff you always have to do and then complaining about it as much as possible is a true rite of passage. Luckily she has someone to complain with and/or to in her hubby, so things will probably be just fine.

Whether you’ve seen the Stranger Things series finale or not, I’d guess you’ve heard about the debate surrounding Eleven’s fate. As the 2026 TV schedule has gotten going, one of the biggest moments is still being discussed, as folks try to figure out if Millie Bobby Brown’s character survived or died. Now, Lucas actor Caleb McLaughlin has shared his take on it, and I totally agree with him.

Now, while it seems inevitable that Millie Bobby Brown will be talking about Eleven’s fate for the rest of her life, it would seem the rest of the Stranger Things cast can’t escape it either (at least for now). That was proven on an episode of The View, when Caleb McLaughlin was asked what he thought about Eleven while promoting his project on the 2026 movie schedule, GOAT. He was down to get into it, though, as he answered the question with the following:

When that was met with a big audience reaction, one of the hosts asked if he meant “gone to the supermarket.” McLaughlin clarified that he does believe Eleven is dead. Rewording his opinion on the matter slightly, the Lucas actor said:

I also think this. I’m of the opinion that Eleven’s Wicked-like ending is simply a dream Mike concocted to live with the grief of losing her. And I think that’s beautiful. I do think all the kids have chosen to believe that she’s alive, and who knows, maybe she is. However, I don’t see how she could have survived those final moments before she disappeared. So, yes, I think she’s dead, much like the Lucas actor.

Now, while McLaughlin is of the opinion that Millie Bobby Brown’s character is dead, he, like me, does think Lucas believes she’s alive. Speaking a bit more to that mindset as well as the ambiguity of Eleven’s fate, the actor said:

I do love the ambiguity of Stranger Things’ ending, and the optimistic note it concludes on. This fantasy Mike’s created about where Eleven went is tragically beautiful, and I think it helps him and all the kids move on. I also think her sacrifice was necessary, and because of it, the world was saved. It feels a bit odd if she somehow survived all that and then couldn't be with her friends or family.

It would seem that Caleb McLaughlin has a similar mentality, and I love how he explained it all. Yes, both of us believe Eleven is dead. However, the kids don’t, and their choice to believe and continue to support each other allows Stranger Things to end on an optimistic note. So, yes, I love his take on the end.

Stranger Things is a cultural juggernaut, and anyone who needs proof of that needn't look any further than the way fans have discussed its series finale. That fateful installment is filled with notable moments, many of which have picked apart by viewers. As fans continue to talk (and cry) about what went down during that final episode, Millie Bobby Brown shared a video of what happened when she watched Eleven’s big scene. Spoiler alert: the tears were flowing.

The moment where Eleven decides to sacrifice herself amid the destruction of the Upside Down is incredibly emotional. That's especially true since the heroine simultaneously takes time to say goodbye to boyfriend Mike, who's not ready to see her go. It’s a beautiful scene in the Stranger Things finale, and it seemed to also be quite moving for "El" actress Millie Bobby Brown. The actress dropped the following Instagram video, which shows her visceral reaction:

As can be seen above, the scene caused Brown to break down in tears as she thanked those in the room with her before exclaiming “this damn show!” It looks like she was in an ADR booth, which is part of the process actors often participate in during post-production to re-record dialogue.

It may be safe to assume that this session happened a little while after Brown had already wrapped on ST and said goodbye to her cast in person on set. I could surely imagine all the emotions of the series' conclusion really flooding back to her during the session.

Brown started playing Eleven since she was 11 and, now she’s 21. So half of her life has been spent as a Stranger Things star. I can’t even imagine the intense emotions that have accompanied her saying goodbye to this chapter of her life.

The Duffer Brothers-created sci-fi series finished its run on New Year’s Eve (even though tons of fans later became convinced there was a secret bonus episode) with a major question for fans to answer among each other: did Eleven really die? The CinemaBlend staff has reached its own consensus, especially considering there are some holes in Mike’s theory. Still, it's likely that Brown will simply be asked about the finale forever, given the Duffers said they told the actress what really happened.

While Eleven presumably died in a valiant sacrifice to save her friends and the world, the death count of Stranger Things wasn't as bloody as fans were expecting. The series ended with an emotional epilogue where the core group of friends (plus Max) played a game of D&D following their high school graduation. Mike suggested that Eleven could be alive somewhere but chose to stay away from Hawkins to protect them. That leaves a major layer of ambiguity over her fate.

Now that Stranger Things is over, Millie Bobby Brown is looking towards other projects, like the third Enola Holmes movie, which will debut sometime this year. Brown's also a new mom to the child she shares with husband Jake Bongiovi. Brown is definitely all grown up and ready to move on though, if her viral clip indicates anything, it's that she still has a soft spot for the show responsible for making her a star. And fans can now watch that series in its entirety on Netflix.

To say that Stranger Things’ series finale sparked debates is like saying the great Biblical flood caused some dampness. It’s now one of few TV shows with an ending so disputed that a chunk of the fandom conspiracy-theorized that their displeasure was the intent of creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and that a secret episode would be released with the”real” ending. That doesn’t seem to have panned out, but it seems clear that this will forever be in the much-discussed TV finale annals.

Considering its final season cemented Stranger Things as Netflix’s biggest domestic commodity, Millie Bobby Brown will likely always get asked about the show in interviews, regardless of what she’s promoting. But the Duffer brothers added some additional fuel to that fire by confirming Brown does indeed know the truth about Eleven’s fate, and whether or not Mike’s epilogue theorizing (which I take issue with) reflected reality or not.

Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the co-creator siblings talked about a slew of topics regarding the finale and the franchise’s immediate future. Naturally, the conversation also turned to the mystery behind what really happened to Eleven, who seemingly sacrificed herself in the destruction of the Upside Down, with Mike later hypothesizing that she looped Kali in to keep her safe. Not that the Duffers actually clarified anything on that front, but they did confirm that there IS a hard answer, as opposed to an amorphous idea. As Matt Duffer put it:

In some ways, I fully understand where he's coming from, and I agree that shielding audiences from certain parts of the creative process is more or less necessary. Lots of truly great ideas come from truly stupid places, so knowing every inch of the ins and outs won't always add to one's enjoyment of a particular project. When it's about the unclear destiny of a Top 3 character, however, there should be more closure, more insight, more something that isn't just Mike's glass-half-full take shared with his friends that he'd literally just come up with that day.

Beyond fans' confused frustrations, though, the Duffers maybe should have thought about Millie Bobby Brown's own future before revealing that the actress 100% knows the answer. As Matt put it:

If only it were as easy as saying "Don't waste your time." IF ONLY. Don't get me wrong, I know that people would throw that question at her constantly even if Matt Duffer claimed that she didn't know the real answer, so just having a mysterious ending in and of itself is a double-edged sword in that way. But there's a big difference between a softballed "You really don't know what happened?" and a probing "Seriously, if you know, why can't you just say it?" One can only hope everyone's default mode will be "curiously polite."

When asked if Noah Schnapp might know anything, the brothers laughed, and then immediately went to work on making sure the answer to that was a resounding "Nope." Ross responded with:

As he was saying it, Matt was already pulling his phone out to text Brown to double-down on advising her to not share it with her good buddy, lest he also get hounded for the rest of time about what happened to Eleven.

It’s been a full week since Stranger Things unleashed its final episode on viewers — not that everyone believes it was the real final episode — and fans are still up in arms about quite a few of the resolutions that played out. Or should I say the lack of resolutions? Specifically, a vast amount of post-episode commentary has revolved around whether Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven actually sacrificed herself, as it was shown, or if Mike’s far more hopeful exit scenario is the true outcome.

Personally, for all that I’d love to optimistically hold onto the idea that Eleven is out there watching waterfalls and trying to adjust to life without the threat of soldiers and demogorgons, I don’t buy Mike’s endgame theory for a couple of reasons. The first is wholly practical, in that I don’t believe the dying Kali was capable of doing the things Mike speculated. (Unless she purposefully made her injuries look worse than they were to fool Hopper, which is a whole other rabbit hole.) I also don’t think time was on their side.

But even beyond those more technical plot mechanics, I think the finale offered another another argument against Eleven having survived in the form of a somewhat surprising character return. That’s right, I’m talking about Ted Wheeler.

Ted Wheeler's Fate Went Unconfirmed For More Than Half Of Season 5

Remember back in Episode 2 when Ted Wheeler brought a golf club to a demogorgon fight? He took quite a short-form whooping that left him seemingly knocking on death's door. That presumption was halfway strengthened by the fact that his fate was all but ignored for the next five episodes, despite all the attention placed on each of the other Wheeler family members. Sure, one could have assumed he was still alive just based on tno one else seeming sad about his death, but the way episodes jumped from one place to the next, it might have taken weeks for anyone to realize he wasn't around.

Okay, that's probably hyperbolic. But considering Mike was off trying to save the world with Will, Joyce and others, while Holly was trying to escape Henry's clutches, and Karen was in the hospital rehabbing her own injuries, Ted wasn't exactly on the front of anyone's minds. Sure, viewers were curious about his whereabouts, and wondered why he wasn't shown, but it's not like he was vital for taking the Mind Flayer down.

Killing Ted off either at that point (or later in the season) feasibly could have been a way for the Duffer brothers to up the kill count without taking out another main character. But at long last, the ol' fuddy-duddy showed up again in the 18-months-later flash-foward for the Hawkins High graduation. And after my initial surprise at seeing him again, I started to think that maybe his fate was the wholly connected flip-side of Eleven's fate, in terms of Mike's emotional state.

I Think Ted Survived So That Mike's Grief Wasn't TOO Overwhelming

Obviously the "real" reason Ted survived is because his monster-related injuries weren't fatal. But from a creative perspective, I think it's possible he lived on so that Mike didn't have to spend the bulk of that 18-month span in a downward spiral of mourning an immediate family member on top of mourning his first love. Nobody wants to think about a beloved young character going through that kind of trauma.

So instead, upon seeing that Ted is alive and well, one only has to assume that his grief was entirely focused on Eleven, which then allows for his optimistic outlook to have peak impact. If he'd been too much of an emotional wreck during graduation day, it might have made his D&D-tethered theory sound far more desperate and nutty than idealistic.

Which, in turn, is proof in my mind that Eleven is 100% dead, because Mike can't have it both ways. Even if it's not really about Mike, and is more about Eleven and Ted, Finn Wolfhard's character is the one whose perspective we're still seeing in the end, so it's all relative to him. And if neither Ted nor Eleven paid the final price for Vecna's reign of terror, then Mike wouldn't have evolved all that much as a character, sad as it is to say so bluntly. The tragedy will probably make him a better writer as well.

Ted's Death Would Have Made Me Believe That Eleven Survived

Had the show revealed Ted to have died from his wounds, that actually would have been the ticket to make me far more willing to believe that Eleven lived on after the Upside Down was destroyed. Largely because I know the Duffer brothers aren't masochists who want their main characters to suffer a bunch, but that's all it takes really.

Again, it's still depressing to think about Mike being a total emotional wreck for part of the 18-month stretch before reaching his grand epiphany about the military's power-disrupting devices at the graduation. So this route still wouldn't have seemed like the most wonderful and ideal one to opt for. Especially not for all the viewers out there who are diehard Ted Wheeler fanatics and believe he's the true hero of the show. You guys exist, right? Hello?

I think it's great that Mike is still holding out an olive branch of hope to himself, but I'm equally glad that it's seemingly a small enough branch that he won't immediately try to scour the globe looking for her. Because he's not gonna find her. Because she dead as hell, y'all. [Slams the coffin lid down.]

Spoilers below for anyone who hasn’t yet watched Stranger Things’ series finale via Netflix subscription, so be warned!

Welp, it finally happened, everybody. Not only was Vecna’s planet-smashing agenda stopped in its tracks, but Stranger Things’ final season finally gave Winona Ryder’s Joyce something to do besides coddle her son Will. That’s not our focus here, however. No, this spotlight is focused on seemingly the series finale’s biggest development and the series’ biggest death overall — Eleven sacrificing herself as the Upside Down was destroyed — as well as what the Duffers said about it, and why I think Mike’s hopeful explanation doesn’t fully make sense.

Let’s first quickly break down what actually happened: The show’s giant protagonist group successfully defeated the Mind Flayer, decapitated Vecna, and saved all of existence, but they couldn’t evade Dr. Kay and the military. With nearly everyone rounded up, Eleven suddenly appeared at the dimensional breach for an emotional finale exchange with Mike in the mindscape Void, set on sacrificing herself as it was previously hinted at. Despite all of his pleas, she fades into the ethers as the Upside Down is destroyed forever.

Amusingly, the show skips past the immediate aftermath to jump forward 18 months, and it doesn’t look like any of the teens or adults faced much heat for all the death and destruction caused during that tumultuous period. A fateful realization during the graduation ceremony leads Mike to posit a theory for how Eleven may have actually survived her martyrdom moment. But let’s first check in with the Duffer brothers for their thoughts.

The Duffer Brothers' Take On Eleven's Stranger Things Fate

While watching the finale, I was a bit confused by the way Eleven just disappeared from existence in front of everyone’s eyes instead of meeting her maker in a more visceral way. But I didn’t necessarily think right in that moment, “This is probably just a ruse,” and I fully bought into the idea that she made the ultimate decision to keep her friends safe along with the rest of humanity. So when Mike offered a separate explanation for his friends to gnaw on later in the episode, I was genuinely surprised.

Matt and Ross Duffer spoke with Netflix Tudum about all kinds of details that popped up in the finale, including those previously teased pivotal music cues that no doubt referred to Prince and David Bowie being represented. When asked about Eleven, however, they chose not to divulge any concrete resolutions, and instead opted to leave it in the minds of audience members, with Ross saying:

On the one hand, this is the most predictably wishy-washy way for the esteemed creators to offer a final answer on Eleven’s fate, since it would be a big ol’ downer if they immediately confirmed beyond a (first) shadow of a doubt that she’s dead now, and Mike’s rose-colored glasses are wholly flawed. On the flip side, it might also feel like a cop-out if the Duffers 100% guaranteed that Mike’s speculation about her survival was legit, since it would heavily water down the emotions of their final scene together in the Void.

As such, the happy medium here is for the writing/directing siblings to leave it up to viewers to decide whether or not Eleven is actually out there living her best waterfall-enjoying life. I’d love to know a percentage of fans buying in on that, and how many are convinced that she’s a goner. Because part of me would love to believe it, but I don’t think that Mike’s theory makes sense all the way through.

Why Mike's Theory Doesn't Completely Hold Up For Me

For one, I think it's wild and slightly non-feasible that Mike's grand theory was first sparked by the graduation ceremony's speakers, yet he didn't say anything about it until the end of the group's Dungeons & Dragons campaign. Seems like a strange way to voice such a massive idea, even if it isn't legit, but my bigger issue is that Mike's theory about Kali and Eleven's plan is based on several different leaps in logic, as noted below.

1. Kali and Eleven seemingly would have needed to know that the group would be immediately caught by Dr. Kay's soldiers after driving through the breach. (And why wouldn't Eleven suggest a different exit if she did know?)
2. The plan relied entirely on Kali being alive long enough to project the image of Eleven at just the right time, despite not having any guarantee for how long it would take to stop the Mind Flayer and Vecna.
3. Kali seemed to be mentally wiped by the energy used to project her own image into the lab, and she at least knew how that space looked, so it would seemingly take even more effort to project another person into an unfamiliar location.
4. Eleven seemed to be able to lock eyes with Mike surrounding their time together in the Void, which seems extremely hard to do with a mental projection.
5. Kali would have likely needed real-time access to El and Mike's convo, as well as knowing what the situation was in the Upisde Down, in order to know when to make Eleven disappear.
6. The soldiers would have needed to immediately lose track of Eleven while rounding everyone up and....wait, no, I can 100% buy into this, since all of those soldiers were absolutely terrible at their jobs.

Certainly there are further details that I could dig my critical heels into, but that lineup represents the biggest hurdles in the way of me buying into Mike's hopeful guesswork. I guess the only way to truly convince me here is for Netflix to announce that Millie Bobby Brown is heading up a new Stranger Things spinoff focusing on Eleven's trials and tribulations as a globetrotting adult. I'll be refreshing my inbox for that press release regularly, Netflix!

I'm hoping one day soon, after the entire world has witnessed the events of "The Rightside Up," that Matt and Ross Duffer will open up with a firmer stance on whether or not Eleven survived the wormhole's desctruction. But until then, we'll presumably be able to reconnect with Eleven when the animated spinoff Tales from '85 hits the 2026 TV schedule.

My brain already hurts thinking about the 2026 TV schedule arriving without any future seasons of Stranger Things to look forward to. (Save for the animated Tales from ‘85 spinoff that’s on the way.) But we still have to make it through the impending series finale, which will tie up all the loose strands set up thus far, from the Upside Down’s wormhole reveal to Vecna’s grand plan for Dimension X to (hopefully) what was in the soldier’s case that kept Henry from returning to that cave for so many years.

Of course, a series finale on this scale is expected to deliver some massive casualties, and Vol. 2 hinted very heavily at two high-profile deaths that would likely leave a lasting sting well after the credits are done. But I think fans should probably start worrying harder about four other characters that are more likely to kick the bucket in more tragic (or at least more harrowing) ways.

Eleven And Kali Appear Destined To Sacrifice Themselves, But...

I'm currently unable to say with conviction whether or not Kali's claims to Eleven are totally on the level when it comes to her blood being injected into pregnant women's bodies with the goal of producing more children with telekinetic abilities. I want to believe her, in the sense that I want to believe anyone sharing revealing plot details in this convoluted storyline. But Kali telling the truth would also mean her suggestion that the only way to stop the scientists from replicating the process in the future is for all of the lab experiments to be killed off, Kali and Eleven included.

If Hopper knew that was the case, his high horse would poke up into the stratosphere, given all the distrust he’s (David) harboring for Kali. Granted, her reasoning is pure and virtuous if true, not that Hopper would care. But by pointing so large an arrow directly at Eleven and Kali, I think the Duffer brothers using that to distract us from worry about the characters who are actually doomed. Such as....

Jim Hopper

That's right. Stranger Things Season 5 previously threw a stick in the spokes of Hopper and Eleven's relationship when he went on his secret mission into the Upside Down without telling her there was a chance he might not return. Which of course made him multitudes more protective of her whenever they found Kali.

I think Hopper is going to discover that Eleven is contemplating sacrificing herself for the greater good, and I think he's going to find a way to take care of that problem without her death being necessary. Which would likely require a dozen or so large-scale explosions across both labs in Hawkins and in the Upside Down, as well as any secret locations audiences haven't learned about yet. This theory would have felt even more emotional had Hopper and Joyce shared any truly worthwhile scenes together in Season 5, which sadly hasn't been the case. But I still think Hopper is doomed.

Jonathan Byers

Until "Chapter Seven: The Bridge," I didn't have Jonathan anywhere near my list of go-to death predictions for the final episode. But then came the one-two punch that sealed the deal. First, his and Nancy's panicked captivity in the melting room brought them to the point where all of their squabbling grievances were aired out, and he finally brought out the engagement ring that's been burning a hole in his pocket and brain. Only without an actual propsal, but rather a shared understanding that they're perhaps not meant to be together.

As well, Will finally got his big coming-out scene in front of the entire group, with the idea being that embracing his true nature will make him impervious to Vecna's advances. So Jonathan no longer needs to serve as an inspirational big brother at this point. And it's not like he's got a ton of other friends or future life options to devote his time to when things go back to normal, so... R.I.P. Jonathan, probably.

Murray Bauman

If Stranger Things ever sparked its own Expendables-branded spinoff, it would no doubt be headed up by Brett Gelman's Murray Bauman, since he is the living embodiment of an expendable character within this world. He's not a total waste of space or anything, as his efforts, vehicles, weapons and supplies have been a huge help for everyone. But then Murray also does things like use the nickname "Snookums" a surprisingly annoying amount of times in short order, and I find myself actively wishing for him to take one of Vecna's viney extensions through the back of his head.

Sure, there would be mild amusement had if Murray ended up being the only character from this season that survives and lives to see another day. But it wouldn't be worth losing everyone else, so let's send Murray off to that big...thing that Murray likes in the sky.

Lucas Sinclair

I know, I know! Nobody actively want anyone from the core D&D group to lose all their HP before the figurative dungeon has been mastered. It’s not like these choices are culled just from who I want to see shuffle off. Murray, sure, he’d be on both lists, and my first choice on the Kill ‘Em Off ranking would be that disrespectful and dead-eyed soldier that Linda Hamilton’s Dr. Kay womanhandled accordingly. Neither Lucas nor Caleb McLaughlin deserve that fate, but that’s precisely what makes him suitable finale fodder.

For the bulk of this season so far and then some, Lucas’ solo journey outside of plot-pushing activities has been providing distant emotional and musical support for Sadie Sink’s Max. A noble duty, no doubt, and one that was addressed in a heartfelt manner by Max herself, who gave him more credit than Kate Bush for pulling her through her Vecna-induced coma. Now that she’s back, though, it opens the soul-crushing door for Lucas to meet his maker while keeping both Max and Erica safe. After which, both of them would rip ass and save the day in his honor, naturally.

Whether I'm right or I'm wrong about the victims' identities, millions of fans will be watching SOME characters get ripped open and bled out when Stranger Things' series finale hits both theaters and Netflix on Wednesday, December 31.

In the weeks between the release of the first volume of Stranger Things Season 5 and the second, I’ve been thinking a lot about the couples on the show. Specifically, my mind has been on the love triangle-like debate going on about Eleven, Mike and Will. With the endgame near on Netflix’s 2025 schedule, I’m assuming the future of these two relationships will be determined, and we’ll get to find out who Mike ends up with. However, the more I think about it, the more I realize I actually don’t want him to end up with either of them.

Now, I know this is a hot take. Trust me, I’ve watched the Byler edits on TikTok, and I’ve seen the astounding support Mileven gets from fans. The debates are always sloshing around my social media too, as one side defends Mike and Eleven’s relationship while the other hopes for Will and Mike to be together. However, I’ve come up with three reasons why neither couple should happen, so let’s discuss.

Mike And Eleven Have Grown Apart

To no fault of their own, really, Mike and Eleven have grown apart. Distance literally separated them for a fair amount of Season 4, and in Season 5, they’ve only shared one scene where it was just the two of them talking. So, there hasn’t been a whole lot of relationship development for them.

Plus, with everything they’re individually going through, it makes perfect sense that their relationship has taken a backseat. Now, going into Volume 2, it will be hard to convince me that they should be endgame. With little screentime together, I have no clue where they stand as a couple, which is making it hard for me to buy into their relationship. To me, they’ve simply naturally grown apart, and maybe that also means they should just be friends.

Mike Clearly Does Not Share Will’s Romantic Feelings

Now, toward the end of Stranger Things Season 4, it became very clear that Will had romantic feelings for Mike. However, it’s also obvious that Mike has not clocked that. As Finn Wolfhard himself said, Mike is “so clueless” when it comes to seeing the feelings Will has.

That was the case in Season 4, and it is the case in Season 5 too. While Will has alluded to his feelings during conversations with Robin, and seemingly tried to act on them during interactions with Mike, it’s still flying right over Wolfhard’s character's head.

He’s unaware of his friend's feelings, and, at least to me, it seems like Mike has no romantic feelings for Will. The last thing I’d want is for them to try and force something. Therefore, I think it might be best if they just stay in the friend zone.

Overall, They’re All Traumatized Kids Who Need To Move Forward

All the debate aside, I’d also like to point out that Mike, Will and Eleven are just kids. The odds of most romantic relationships between two teens working out long-term are slim, at best. And I haven’t even calculated for the trauma yet.

These three characters have, to put it lightly, been through it. Their lives have been at risk, they’ve lost loved ones, and overall, they’ve been through so much bad stuff that I think they all deserve a fresh start. All three need to move forward, and I do believe that to do that, they shouldn’t be romantically involved.

Maybe someday Mike can be with one of them, after they’ve all had time to heal, grow and figure themselves out. However, for now, I think love needs to be put on the back burner, and the Mike, Eleven and Will debate should be put to rest by making it so he doesn’t end up with either of them.

Now, to see how their stories really end, and to find out who will end up with who, the second volume of Stranger Things' fifth season will drop on the 2025 TV schedule on December 25, and the emotional series finale will follow on December 31. So, make sure that Netflix subscription is ready so you can find out how they (hopefully) save Hawkins and who Mike ends up with.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is known for constantly expanding, thanks to new projects arriving in theaters and streaming with a Disney+ subscription. There are a ton of rumors about upcoming Marvel movies, including the developing X-Men flick. Specifically there's chatter about Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown playing a member of the titular team, but there's one mutant in particular I'd like to see her as.

What we know about the MCU's X-Men movie is super limited, but it's expected to star a new cast rather than the stars of the original X-Men films. A recent report by CBM claims Brown is rumored to play a role in the forthcoming project, possibly Rogue, Jean Grey, or Shadowcat. Personally I'm hoping she ends up playing the latter.

Those with a Netflix subscription have spent years watching MBB play a telekinetic and telepath as Eleven/Jane in Stranger Things. And as such, I don't want her to have similar powers if she actually joins the next X-Men flick. Instead, I'd rather see her have Kitty Pryde's phasing abilities, and flex a different type of action muscle.

Funny enough, fans have thought that Millie Bobby Brown would be a great Kitty Pryde/ Shadowcat for a while now. She's got plenty of genre experience, with projects like the Godzilla franchise, The Electric State, and Enola Holmes in addition to her acclaimed tenure as Eleven. And with Stranger Things Season 5 set to be the final installment, her schedule must be freed up to take on another long-standing role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kitty Pryde is a fan favorite character from X-Men, and has appeared in the comics, animated shows, and even live-action. Elliot Page famously played the hero in two of the latter projects, but the character hasn't really gotten to take center stage on the big screen since X-Men: The Last Stand. But we'll just have to wait and see if Millie Bobby Brown is actually cast, and what the lineup of the team will be like in Jake Schreier's developing movie.

Rogue was another rumored character for Brown, and it would be fun to see her flying and using super strength to dispatch enemies (in addition to the character's ability to drain life and powers with skin-to-skin touch). But if she's going to have those other powers, Rogue might need to have a crossover with Captain Marvel.

Of course, this is all just rumors and speculation at this point. Almost nothing is know about the developing X-Men movie, and Millie Bobby Brown doesn't have have any deal with Marvel just yet. But fans are hoping for news about the future of the mutants ASAP.

The X-Men movie is currently expected to arrive in theaters on May 5th 2028. In the meantime, the net MCU movie that will be released is Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31st as part of the 2026 movie release list. For now, fans can watch Millie Bobby Brown in Stranger Things over on Netflix.

The Enola Holmes actress has opened up to Deadline about collaborating with her co-star on Season 5, specifically. Speaking highly of him and their relationship, she said:

For context, at the start of November, news broke that Brown allegedly filed a complaint against Harbour that was related to bullying and harassment. It was reported that Netflix investigated the claims; however, the streamer did not release a statement about that.

After that news broke, however, Brown and Harbour combatted the discord by smiling and posing for photos together at the premiere. Following that event, where the two co-stars appeared to be getting along great, sources made claims to Variety about what happened to the bullying complaint. Apparently, after the investigation, the matter was resolved.

Now, Millie Bobby Brown shares a lot of her scenes in the first volume of Stranger Things Season 5 with David Harbour. They had to work together in the Upside Down, and they had to get vulnerable and emotional for their scenes, which involved Eleven not being able to use her powers.

Speaking about how excited she was for fans to see these scenes between the father-daughter duo, Brown said:

The actress also specifically spoke about her relationship with the Thunderbolts* actor. She clarified that she “felt safe” working with him. She also noted that due to their characters’ father-daughter relationship, they’ve grown quite close. Millie Bobby Brown explained:

So, based on these comments, it seems Brown and Harbour had a good working relationship on this final season. In terms of the bullying complaints, Netflix has not formally commented on the situation, and there are still questions about it. The long-awaited day has finally come: Stranger Things Season 5 has arrived for everybody with a Netflix subscription, with the four episodes of Volume 1 all available now. More than three years after Season 4 ended with Hawkins a mess, the heroes dealing with their biggest loss to date, and Max comatose with way too many broken bones, Season 5 picks back up after an 18-month time jump.

Laughs may be few and far between for him in Season 5 in the wake of Eddie's death (with Joe Quinn not expected back) on top of the general mess that is Hawkins after Vecna's attack in Season 4. Speaking with outlets during a press conference with fellow party members ahead of the premiere, Matarazzo said:

The happy Season 2 ending with the kids dancing at the Snow Ball feels like a very long time ago, and the Vecna slow burn started building since Season 3 (even though the villain himself didn't appear in Season 4) after getting that boost from Eleven's powers. Matarazzo continued:

All hands seem to be on deck in the official Stranger Things trailer, but it can be easy to forget that many of the main characters are still just high schoolers who have been in the Upside Down mix since the age of 12. I think fans will likely agree that it's "hard to watch them struggle."

Finn Wolfhard Gets To Play A Leader Again

As Mike Wheeler, Finn Wolfhard was the leader of the original party back in the first season, which resulted in the kids figuring out a lot of the Upside Down before the teens and adults even knew they were up to anything. (Or that Mike was crushing on the pre-teen telekinetic fugitive he was hiding in the basement.) On the subject of Mike getting back into his role as a leader, the IT star said:

Caleb McLaughlin's Lucas Blames Himself

Caleb McLaughlin turns in one of Stranger Things' most powerful performance in the fourth season finale with Lucas' desperate efforts to save Max, with the actor describing it as "one of Lucas' most traumatic moments that happened to him" and "he felt like it was his fault." With Lucas still feeling those effects in Season 5, McLaughlin shared:

Hopefully that support will lead him to somehow bringing Max back to herself, presumably with the help of Eleven. It should be interesting to see how his "stoic sensibility of resilience" after losing Max compares to Dustin's attempts to deal with losing Eddie as well.

Millie Bobby Brown Sees The Group As "Outcasts"

While Eleven wasn't originally part of the party during that first D&D game, she definitely was one of them by the end of Season 1, which Mike repeatedly made even clearer in Season 2. Hidden by the boys (with some understandable protest from Lucas early on) while using her powers to help them, Eleven became an essential member of the team and a pop culture icon. Millie Bobby Brown opened up about the chemistry within the Stranger Things ensemble, saying that in their own way, they're all "outcasts." She explained:

Brown, who opened up about how she'd "gone insane" after playing Eleven so long with some of her wilder pitches, complimented the dynamic of the entire cast, shouting out Robin, Hopper, and Joyce in particular. It’s possible that no 2025 Netflix TV premiere has been more hotly anticipated than that of Stranger Things Season 5. Just considering all of her scenes in the final Season 5 trailer, but with that kick she was trying to add, I think maybe everyone was correct to dissuade her.

Obviously, I’m saying this without having seen Eleven at her full, Force-like level of telekinetic ability, so it’s not impossible that we’ll all think differently about it in a few days. Either way, I do hope that we get at least one amazing scene where El can kick Vecna’s viny ass one last time.

As Stranger Things Season 5 nears its release amid the 2025 TV schedule, two of its biggest cast members have been engulfed in rumors and reports. It was reported nearly a week ago that Millie Bobby Brown (known for playing Eleven) filed a bullying complaint against co-star David Harbour (who plays Jim Hopper). Both Harbour and Brown were all smiles when they appeared together at the show’s premiere, though. Now, insiders are dropping claims about what really happened with the complaint.

Ultimately, PR officials believe the company wants to convey that the cast is showing a united front as they bid farewell to their show.

As noted by the trade, Harbour is in the midst of a busy production schedule, which has recently included projects like Avengers: Doomsday and the HBO show DTF St. Louis.

Reports of the bullying complaint against the Gran Turismo actor also coincide with claims made against him by his estranged wife, singer Lily Allen. Via her new album, West End Girl, Allen – who married Harbour in 2020 – accused her spouse of infidelity. Variety also notes that the source cited in Daily Mail’s original reporting of the bullying claim was a “friend” of Allen’s. With that said, let’s break down this promo for what could be the biggest upcoming horror TV show to ever exist, with one of the most intriguing highlights being that final not-quite-showdown between Vecna and Will Byers.

The Song Choice; Queen’s “Who Wants To Live Forever?”

Nothing makes chasing monsters and saving your friends more dramatic than an orchestrated remix of a Queen song. Freddie Mercury’s piercing vocals would bring the light even to a place like the Upside Down. The track was released in 1986, which isn’t quite the most current song from this timeline, but the lyrics are no doubt too meaningful for the Duffer brothers to have passed up.

Hawkins Is Surrounded, Which Just Makes For A Bigger Body Count

The trailer makes it clear that there’s a government-enforced border around Hawkins, which we all know isn’t really going to do anything to stop anything from getting in or out. Vecna gives a shit about a barricade, as is made very obvious by the last quarter of the trailer. The monstrous villain apparently goes murder-crazy within one of the military outposts, littering the ground with uniformed corpses.

The Requisite D&D Reference

While Dungeons & Dragons has been a go-to source of comfort and familiarity for the younger characters, Eleven makes it clear to Mike that this final battle goes far beyond the safety of dice rolls and tales crafted by Dungeon Masters.

I bet Mike still finds a way to influence the ending as if he was writing it.

Dustin And Steve’s Tearful Hug

My goodness, the emotion on Gaten Matarazzo’s face when he and Steve are hugging each other so tightly. Clearly something awful happens, but the stress on his face makes it seem like they just found out Joe Quinn’s Eddie Munson was still alive, and then had to watch him die all over again. I doubt that’s the case, given what the Duffers have said about Eddie’s fate, but still.

Eleven’s Powers

Given this is the final season, it’s finally time for fans to see Eleven gain full control over her powers, which the co-creators have compared to Star Wars’s presence of the Force. It’s on display earlier whenever Millie Bobby Brown’s character takes a running leap that looks far more like limited flying than long-jumping. And then later, she sends out a power blast that looks as if it could take out an entire city. I suspect the way the footage is edited together during those few seconds won’t reflect the final product, but I hope all of that colorful energy we see in the footage stems from Eleven.

Uh Oh, Lucas

Strangely enough for a final-season trailer, we don't actually see many of the protagonists facing down obvious dangers, even though as fans we know they're there. One of the core shots seen here that does apply, though, is Lucas lying on his back looking nervous as hell as one of the Upside Down's beasts approaches. I don't actually suspect anything too lethal will happen here, but I do wonder why he's all by himself down there.

Nancy Is In Beast Mode

How badass would it be if one of Stranger Things' spinoffs is dedicated to Natalia Dyer's Nancy Wheeler as an action hero going around the country, kicking bad guys' asses, taking names, and chewing bubblegum? She already looked like a total boss wielding a flamethrower in a previous trailer, and now she looks patently influenced by co-star Linda Hamilton's iconic character Sarah Connor.

What Is Vecna Going To Do To Will?

The trailer kicks off with the vine-covered monsters gravely rasp, and ends in the same way. Only this time, we see that Vecna somehow took Noah Schnapp's Will captive, and seems to be free to do whatever he wants with the dude, saying:

As if Will has been doing chores around Vecna's house all summer or something. I don't know if you can call it "help" when you're forcing someone to do it, ya freaky bastard. I can't tell if I'm more excited or bothered by the fact that we're five seasons into this show and I'm not 100% sure how Vecna will utilize Will on the whole, and how risky it all is physically and/or mentally for the teen. Obviously it's nothing great, or else WIll wouldn't be forced there against his...will.

Will Vecna's final move be the one that finally tears the Byers family apart, or will Eleven & Co. make all the right moves in time to save Will, Hawkins and the rest of the world from Demogorgon-demolished chaos? So many questions, so many hours until we get any of them answered.

Do you remember where you were the day Stranger Things debuted on Netflix? Sure, it's nowhere near as universally important an incident as JFK's assassination or the moon landing, but it could eventually become as important a TV premiere as I Love Lucy orLost (or Finn Wolfhard's go-to comparison Game of Thrones). Of course, that depends on how well its fifth and final season is received by audiences around the world, and whether or not it quells concerns that the actors have gotten too old.

With the new episodes finally set to arrive starting on Thanksgiving, the cast and creators have been quite busy with promoting the horror/sci-fi juggernaut for the last time, more than nine years after the first season introduced audiences to Hawkins, the Wheelers and the Byers (among others). For an expansive profile for Time, co-star Millie Bobby Brown moderated a Q&A with other cast members that tapped into how much the actors have out-aged their characters.

When posed a question about the biggest differences the stars could pick out between Season 1 and Season 5, Finn Wolfhard offered this gem that had Brown giggling:

Speaking to the idea that the cast members hanging out together wasn't always the case, others chimed in to say:

Nobody fully addressed why the behind-the-scenes schooling was so rough on their intrapersonal relationships, but they wouldn't be the first group of teens who found an on-set education to be more stressful than traditional means. Gaten Matazzara voiced that he can still feel the heart rush and stress that came from that time, and wasn't exactly excited about it sticking around.

That's another gobsmacking realization to bring up, of course: the Stranger Things kids are all out of high school, and some have been for years. It's an even bigger brain-buster when one considers that the core squad of D&D-loving characters won't even be seniors at Hawkins High when the show returns. (That age gap is visibly obvious when watching the adult-leaning actors still riding kids' bikes.)

In fact, it's been so long since Millie Bobby Brown has experienced schooling on Stranger Things' set that she's actually nostalgic for it. As she put it:

I'm hoping it will be easy for audiences to fall right back into the show's clutches without thinking about the de-aging techniques, and that the dispelled rumors about massive episode runtimes don't actually turn out to be true. If we're already gonna spend most of 2025's last month bitching about Will's dumb haircut and Max being in a coma for half of the season, I really don't want to also have feature-length episodes in the mix.

Still, I'd imagine that Brown will relish the quieter days she spends living on her Georgia farm with her hubby and baby.

And it’s all thanks to those two young stars, who started dating in 2021, got engaged in 2023 before tying the knot last year.

I doubt Bon Jovi is truly “that pain in the butt guy” but, even if he is, I find it endearing. That's because it's simply an indication of just how much he loves his new little granddaughter. Though basically everyone with a Netflix subscription is waiting for the somewhat hard-to-follow multi-date release of Stranger Things’ final season, fans are also very clued in to what the stars do off-screen. That includes Millie Bobby Brown, who’s had many changes in her personal life over just the past couple of years, while also working on her hit series and films like the Enola Holmes series, Damsel, The Electric State, and more.

The young star became engaged to Jake Bongiovi in 2023, with the couple marrying about a year after they announced that happy news. Now, they are parents to their new baby daughter, and when Noah Schnapp was asked about her by On The Red Carpet, he gave a very sweet and thoughtful response:

I know what you’re thinking: That comment is so general. He gave us no details! Yup. That’s exactly the point. As Will’s portrayer noted, he’s not sure what his good buddy would want him to say about the baby or how parenting a new human is going for her and her husband, so he’s keeping his public thoughts positive and non-specific.

Not only did Brown actually ask for fans to grant the new family of three “peace and privacy” when she made the baby news public on Instagram, but (as with many of the former child stars of Stranger Things) she’s faced a lot of online scrutiny over the years. She’s had to defend her decision to become engaged and marry well before she or Bongiovi were 25, and many of her fashion choices, as commenters frequently say she looks “old.”

Things like this are said to be why the couple moved to a farm in Georgia for life away from constant attention in the public eye, and why she had the comments turned off for her baby announcement post. When Schnapp was asked about whether or not he’d already seen the baby, he added:

Awwww! Look at him protecting his friend’s privacy. I love it! But, I hope he can be just a little bit more forthcoming the next time he’s asked about what the hell is going down in Stranger Things Season 5. I’m getting impatient over here!

Stranger Things is one of the best Netflix shows to binge-watch, and those with a Netflix subscription have watched the cast grow up before our eyes. Chief among them is Millie Bobby Brown, who was a breakout star after debuting as Eleven. Despite her relatively young age, it's clear that Millie Bobby Brown had a very specific plan for her career and personal life. Luckily, it sounds like her husband Jake Bongiovi understands this, and is supportive of both endeavors. That includes them recently becoming parents.

Millie Bobby Brown got engaged back in 2023 when she was 19 years old. She and Jake have already been together for a number of years, after officially getting married in May of 2024. She spoke about how marriage was the first step in her journey towards motherhood, offering:

It sounds like Brown and Bongiovi's baby daughter isn't going to be an only child for very long. She wants a big family, so we should buckle up for plenty of mini Elevens running around. At least, if these comments are to be believed.

Milly Bobby Brown adopted her daughter, and she even spoke about that process while appearing on the same podcast months ago. As she put it:

Perhaps the public shouldn't be so surprised about when/how Brown became a parent, because she laid it out pretty clearly here. It's nice seeing how her plans are coming together, and the 21-year-old actress seems to be truly happy. Considering her impeccable work ethic, she certainly deserves it.

The first teaser for Stranger Things 5 was released in July, and the show's fifth and final season has never felt more real. The show is arguably Netflix's biggest hit, so the pressure is on for it to stick the landing. Luckily, the wait is nearly over, although the season will be split into three parts.

In fact, her post seems to indicate just that, as she wrote:

The Stranger Things star and Jake Bongiovi, 23, have been dating since 2020. They got engaged after three years when Millie Bobby Brown was 19 years old and Bongiovi was 20. So, of course, the Internet flipped out about it after seeing the Eleven actress grow up in front of their eyes.

At some point, the upcoming Netflix movie Enola Holmes 3 will see the young sleuth get to the bottom of yet another mystery; only this time, it sounds like things will be very different.

I recently sat down for a conversation with Enola Holmes 3’s director Philip Barantini to discuss his work on the Emmy Award-nominated Adolescence limited series after it became one of the biggest hits on the 2025 TV schedule. After discussing the ins and outs of the emotionally-devastating series, I asked the filmmaker what kind of changes he brought to the upcoming movie, to which he replied.

And no, this wasn’t because the experience of working on Adolescence, which was co-created by longtime Enola Holmes screenwriter Jack Thorne. Instead, it was something more practical and had to deal with the character and the Stranger Things Season 5 actress who’s leading the project. Barantini continued:

This isn’t the first time the franchise has taken a different direction, as Millie Bobby Brown previously explained to CinemaBlend that she wanted the character to evolve when preparing for Enola Holmes 2. The 2022 sequel focused more on Enola being an everyday detective, which was important to the actress and producer.

As far as where the case will take Brown’s titular private eye in Enola Holmes 3, that's anyone’s guess at this point. So far, the only thing we know about the movie is that it will follow the young heroine as she travels to Malta to solve a case, while also trying to balance her relationship with Louis Partridge’s Tewkesbury. However, with production having wrapped earlier in the summer, we should know a whole lot more sooner rather than later. The movie will also see the return of Henry Cavill, Himesh Patel, Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster, who’ll all be reprising their roles from the previous movies.

While we’ll have to wait and see where Enola Holmes 3 falls on the 2026 movie schedule (I don’t think there’s any way this lands on the 2025 movie schedule), the first two movies are streaming for anyone with a Netflix subscription. The same goes for Adolescence, which everyone should watch if they haven’t already.

Recently, after Hailey Bieber made a viral phone case that made it easy for a person not to lose their lip gloss, the Stranger Things star also followed suit. Only in this case, Brown created her own hack for DIYing Bieber’s viral phone case. And, seriously, why didn’t I think of this before?

It's known that Hailey Bieber is all about her Rhode Skin lip gloss, thanks to viral ads of her wearing the shiny cosmetic while sucking popsicles. However, the skin care founder has taken it up a notch with Rhode Skin’s branded iPhone case, which has a built-in holder for lip gloss. Millie Bobby Brown, on the other hand, was inspired by Bieber’s idea so much that she created her own DIY to hold her lip gloss, and I’m dying laughing over her wild creativity:

Simple as that, right? As you can see, the British actress has tied a thin hair scrunchie to her phone that does the job of holding her lip gloss while taking selfies. While that’s one way to make sure gloss doesn’t fall out of the pocket, it would look inconvenient to have your hair scrunchie spread straight across your phone like that. But, hey, if it works for her, it might be a hack worth trying.

We truly need to give Hailey Bieber her props for having such a social media influence. After her Rhode Skin brand launched a new Lemontini lip peptide, she took the time to mention the “played out” trend of “butter yellow” being used for cosmetics. It's been intriguing to watch Bieber's rise as a cosmetics and lifestyle maven, and her reach definitely seems to be growing if even a star like Brown is taking notice.

I’m also loving the way Bieber advertises new launches of her Rhode Skin brand, whether it’s short videos of a huge line waiting in anticipation or Bieber’s selfies wearing the new products. Needless to say, she seems to know exactly what she’s doing within the social media sphere.

The Enola Holmes star also knows how to work a crowd on social media, given how famous she’s gotten after landing her Netflix role. Although Millie Bobby Brown has stepped away from social media before due to privacy concerns, she's seemingly taken control over her own narrative since then. Whether Brown makes a viral TikTok about the incredible number of animals she has or gives us summer vibes with her cute bikini look, she always manages to remind fans why she's such a fun follow on social media.

On that note, I'm not sure I'll ever forget how Millie Bobby Brown's custom version of Hailey Bieber’s lip gloss iPhone case. What I'm now wondering is whether others might try Brown's hack. We'll just have to wait and see. Of course, we'll also have to wait and see Brown in the first part of Stranger Things’ final season, which will be available for Netflix subscription holders on November 26th.

Every streaming service has some hit shows, and Stranger Things is at the top of that list for those with a Netflix subscription. The Duffer Brothers' sci-fi epic is one of the best shows to binge on Netflix, and is a bonafide global sensation. Winona Ryder stars as Joyce Byers, and she recently revealed the sweet advice she gave her young co-stars early on.

What we know about Stranger Things 5 is limited, but anticipation couldn't be higher for the impending finale. All eyes are on the future, but Ryder is also looking back and reflecting on how the show began. During an interview with Elle, the actress revealed the words she offered young stars like Millie Bobby Brown, saying:

How sweet is that? The Stranger Things cast became famous overnight, and at a very young age. So Winona tried to instill the importance of the work itself, rather than how big the show became. Given how long she's been a star of TV and film, she definitely has a unique perspective on this subject.

Aside from making sure that her young co-stars appreciate the work of acting, she also tried to offer another important piece of advice: self-worth. In the same interview she spoke about raising the cast up, saying:

She's not wrong. The cast was key to selling Stranger Things, especially back in Season 1 when they were so young. They quickly became household names, especially Millie Bobby Brown. And the show simply wouldn't have captured the hearts of so many fans without their specific contributions as actors.

Stranger Things Season 5 has been delayed a number of times, resulting in over three years passing since Season 4's finale aired in July of 2022. But that hasn't stopped fans like me from patiently counting the days until we get new footage. Stranger Things 5 is splitting its episodes releases into three separate dates, rather than giving us the full season at once. And that should ensure that the fandom experiences the series finale at the same pace.

Stranger Things 5 will air its first four episodes November 26th as part of the 2025 TV premiere schedule. Then we'll get three more episodes December 25th before the series finale is released December 31st. I know what my holiday plans are going to be now.

It’s almost time to return to the world of The Terminal List by way of its prequel series Dark Wolf, and Chris Pratt is making sure the world knows. The actor is currently out and about promoting the series that’s about to premiere on the 2025 TV schedule, and of course, he brought his signature sense of humor with him. He proved that too by posting a fun BTS video of the press tour that involved him hilariously roasting himself, his spray tan, and his Electric State co-star Millie Bobby Brown.

For those who might not know, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf is a prequel series that focuses on Taylor Kitsch’s character, Ben Edwards. Pratt will reprise his role as James Reece in it too, so, naturally, he’s a big part of the press tour. That means lots of interviews, outfits and makeup, as he explained in his amusing Instagram video:

He then exclaimed that it was time to promote Dark Wolf, and I gotta say, I’m here for the enthusiasm and the funny take on getting ready. It really does take a village to do a press tour, and him kind of roasting himself here shows that.

The next clip showed Pratt getting touch-ups, presumably before going to an interview. He mentioned The Plaza Hotel, which makes sense, they’ve been doing press in New York City, which is an important detail for his next silly little joke.

While standing in his hotel room, he took a moment to point out some art on the wall. He then quipped that it was a picture of his Electric State co-star Millie Bobby Brown, saying:

It really was a funny joke, especially since their movie (which you can stream with a Netflix subscription) just came out earlier this year. While the kid in that old painting really looked nothing like Millie Bobby Brown, the short brown hair did evoke Eleven in Season 1 energy. Plus, with Stranger Things Season 5 on the horizon on Netflix’s 2025 schedule, I’m here for the little free promo Pratt gave her.

However, the gags didn’t end there, because the Guardians of the Galaxy actor brought this light-hearted roast back to himself, and specifically his spray tan, joking:

He’s always got the jokes, doesn’t he? Even though the subject matter of The Terminal List is notably darker than most of the projects Pratt’s best known for, he’s still keeping things light, bright and funny on the press tour.

That energy continued through the video too, as he signed autographs, took us backstage at The Today Show, hung out with fans, did a whole bunch of press for this new prequel series and attended the premiere.

Chris Pratt has been a busy bee, that’s for sure, and I love the silly goofy energy he’s bringing to it. Even though it’s still hot enough outside to break a sweat just thinking about it, Netflix’s massive Stranger Things Season 5 trailer is now here to put everyone in a holiday state of mind. Being gifted with this new footage may make it feel like Christmas in July, but that’s not Santa and his reindeer out there. It’s Vecna and a bunch of extremely agile Demogorgons. I don’t know why I’m still trying to make that metaphor work.

Probably because I’m so damned excited after watching all this new footage for the final season after months and months of having to subsist on limited new clues about Eleven’s origins and other mysteries, while also gleaning any information possible from the final batch of episode titles. With all this excess excellence to get consumed by, it feels like a great time to excitedly jump from one topic to the next, and I’ll keep my ramblings in mostly sequential order.

Clearly this will be a major catalyst location for the season, given how things start off here with Steve. STEVE! And for those unaware, the faux Hawkins broadcaster has been active on social media recently, specifically when it comes to the song "Should I Stay Or Should I Go?" which was key to the Season 1 storyline.

The Bunker Of Younger Kids

The trailer makes it look like a whole bunch of characters are worriedly waiting for something major to go down that could potentially affect the majority of characters that we're aware of and then some. It's hard to tell exactly what's happening within that bunker of mostly children, though I don't imagine this represents a fun trip to Camp Central Park.

The Government Is Totally Taking Over Hawkins

It's pretty chilling seeing the kids biking down the road away from town as multiple helicopters and larger vehicles fly towards it. Once you see more than one helicopter in the air, that's it, Jack. Only monsters can follow that.

Eddie’s Defaced Tombstone

How they gonna do Eddie like that? I mean, I'm sure there will still be viewers who question if Eddie is dead or not after watching this trailer, but the insult-emblazoned grave marker does seem to be a good indicator. But that's what they'd WANT us to think.

Jonathan Gets The Trailer's Meaningful Voiceover Narration

Even though one might have expected Millie Bobby Brown's Eleven or Finn Wolfhard's Mike to be dishing out the dialogue in this first big look at the final chapter, it's instead Charlie Heaton's Jonathan talking to Natalia Dyer's Natalie. It's gotta have big implications, no doubt.

Demogorgons Can Climb Trees And Jump Around Like Superheroes

Just in case anyone was under the false impression that Demogorgons AREN'T among the most athletic threats in the universe, there's a shot in the trailer that seems to defy easy logic, with one character leaping from one treetop to another as one of the Upside Down's deadly creatures is reaching upwards while gripping the dead branches. Some real Last of Us vibes happening there. But if I hear one click...

Linda Motherfucking Hamilton

Terminator franchise legend Linda Hamilton previously shared that she'd considered retirement before Stranger Things came knocking, and I think we're all the better for her making the choice to stick with it. Granted, we still don't know very much about what she'll be doing, but THAT HAIR. It's enough to get me watching regardless of anything else.

That Massive Portal To The Upside Down

I love when horror or sci-fi sets up a moment where size and scale become slightly incomprehensible, and that's pretty much what happens here with the two characters standing in front of that gargantuan portal. Burn them all! Burn them all!

Major Jurassic Park Vibes

Considering Jurassic World Rebirth is currently making box office bank, it's pretty fitting that Stranger Things' trailer would feature a moment that seemingly pays homage to a hectic scene in Steven Spielberg's OG blockbuster. I'm talking of course about the bit where Lucas and others are trying to stay quiet as a Demo-dog (assumedly) lurks nearby.

The Radio Tower Of Doom

Linking everything back to the beginning of the trailer is the radio tower that looks as if it's been through better days. The structure looks every bit as ominous as the Mind-Flayer-in-the-sky images from seasons past, and I really hope nobody has to actually climb that thing. It's enough to make the entire lower half of my body pucker in discomfort.

So Much Emotional Sobbing

Obviously the final season of any globally renowned series is going to get emotional for the characters, which goes double for shows that have legitimate life-or-death stakes. Which means I'm not feeling very optimistic about...well, anyone. Natalie, Dustin, Steve and several others are seen to be overwhelmed by tearful feelings. I can certainly hope that those are "Thank God we all got out of this alive" reactions, but that wouldn't be the wisest move.

“Found You”

He's ba-a-a-a-a-ack! Stranger Things' true big bad, Vecna, makes a late-stage appearance, and not in full-frontal fashion. Instead, we only hear his voice and see his gnarly body from behind. Does that mean he'll be looking a little different in Season 5?

With one of the most bizarre TV schedule plans to ever exist, Stranger Things Season 5 will debut on Thanksgiving, will continue on Christmas, and will wrap with its series finale on New Year's Eve.

There’s no denying how much everyone is looking forward to seeing Millie Bobby Brown and the gang return for Stranger Things Season 5 later this year on the 2025 TV schedule, but that’s not the only upcoming Netflix project Brown's involved in. Enola Holmes 3 is also in the works, and after seeing the absolutely adorable photos that the actress took on set, fans are really excited about the upcoming mystery movie.

The second movie in the series received positive marks from critics (in CinemaBlend’s review of Enola Holmes 2, Eric Eisenberg even said it was superior to the original), and Netflix was quick to express interest in a third movie. It’s taken a few years to come together, but hopefully it’s worth the wait.

Harry Bradbeer — who helmed the first two movies — will not return for Enola Holmes 3. Adolescence director Philip Barantini has taken over, bringing with him Jack Thorne, the writer of the heartbreaking series (which is also available to stream with a Netflix subscription).

In the same way that Millie Bobby Brown wanted her character to evolve in the second movie, the passage of a few years and the change in writer and director likely signal that Enola Holmes 3 will skew a little darker than its predecessors. It’ll be interesting to learn more about the upcoming movie, which will also see the return of Himesh Patel, Henry Cavill, Helena Bonham Carter and Sharon Duncan-Brewster in their previous roles.

No release date has been announced yet, but keep your eyes on the movie release calendar, as well as Millie Bobby Brown’s social media, because you never know when her next adorable photo dump is coming.

Millie Bobby Brown’s style is something I’ve always admired. From giving full glamour in a ruby red gown earlier this year to being summer goals in a cute blue bikini, she can and will rock a cute fit for any occasion. Now, she’s showing off her passions for fashion and function with a little black dress that I adore.

The Stranger Things star really is looking all grown up in this look. We’ve seen her grow up right before our eyes. Now, she’s living her best life as a 21-year-old by wearing a little black dress that’s perfect for both day and nighttime wear. Take a look:

In the first image, you can see Brown paired her Softie Rib Open Back Mini Dress, which is made by her company, Florence by Mills, with a cropped zip-up sweatshirt and a pair of white sneakers. Styled this way, it's a fantastic outfit for spending a summer day with friends.

It’s honestly the perfect summer outfit, because the bodycon fit, ribbed fabric and short length make for an easy, sensible and chic daytime look. However, it works at night too.

Brown proved that by switching out the sneakers for a pair of heels and some black sunnies, saying:

She then showed the dress was ideal for a night out by posting a video of her dancing to “Poker Face” by Lady Gaga in what seemed to be a club or concert.

Overall, a little black dress is a classic staple for anyone’s closet, and Brown’s post is an excellent example of that. We’ve also seen variations of the LBD a lot recently, as Florence Pugh rocked a black dress during Thunderbolts* press that was giving seatbelt energy. Meanwhile, Amanda Seyfried wore a black dress that was reminiscent of 1920s flappers. There are countless ways to kill this trend, and these ladies, as well as Brown, have proven that.

Now, seeing Millie Bobby Brown all grown up and wearing this cute dress has me even more excited for Stranger Things Season 5 and its press tour. After Electric State premiered earlier on Netflix’s 2025 schedule, and the actress turned a bunch of stunning looks for that, I’ve been excited to see what she wears at her next premiere.

Both her red carpet and street style are immaculate and aspirational, so after seeing her take on the little black dress, I can’t wait to see what she stuns in next. Meanwhile, I’ll be re-watching Seasons 1 through 4 of Stranger Things with my Netflix subscription to see Millie Bobby Brown grow up right before my eyes while preparing for Season 5.

After nearly 10 years, Stranger Things will finally come to an end with its upcoming fifth and final season. Those final installments are set to debut amid the 2025 TV schedule and will be available to Netflix subscription holders. It’s now wild to think that the young cast, who are all at least in their early 20s, were barely in middle school when the show premiered. Even then, though, they were all insanely talented, and one adult cast member knew that when Millie Bobby Brown was just 11, she was going places.

Brown has been staking her claim in Hollywood in recent years and has been linked to some high-profile projects. Matthew Modine, who plays Dr. Martin Brenner a.k.a. “Poppa” on Stranger Things, has become quite close to the actress. In fact, he also served as Brown’s officiant for her wedding to Jake Bongiovi. Modine spoke to People about his young colleague and, based on his recollection, she made quite an impression on him when he arrived on set years ago:

Stranger Things has certainly given Millie Bobby Brown the opportunity to showcase just how talented she is as an actor. I love the irony in the fact that she was just 11 when she landed the role of Eleven. Of course, the entire cast of the series is talented, but, considering Brown's character is essentially the focal point of the show, a talented child star needed to be tapped for the role. I'm not sure I personally needed more proof of Brown's prowess, but Modine's comments add to the notion that she's one of a kind.

It's still somewhat surreal that Stranger Things is nearing the end of its run. Filming for the upcoming horror show wrapped last year, and Brown discussed just how emotional the last day of filming was. It’s still anyone’s guess as to how Eleven's story wraps up as well as those of her comrades. Regardless, I'd wager the series creators Matt and Ross Duffer have cooked up a final batch of episodes that are sure to be exciting, funny, heartfelt and downright tragic.

Aside from the impending end of the show that made her a star, Millie Bobby Brown remains booked and busy. It’s been announced that her Enola Holmes threequel is in production, and she has a few other projects in the works. Even though working on Stranger Things doesn’t generate Netflix perks, that isn’t stopping her from still nabbing other roles on the streamer.

Now that I've heard Matthew Modine’s perspective of his first meeting with Brown, I'd love to hear it from the actress' perspective. She may have proven she had "it," but I can't help but wonder if she was extremely nervous at the time. If that was the case, though, it definitely didn't come across on screen.

What do Netflix’s Adolescence and Enola Holmes have in common? Well, nothing on the surface. In fact, they couldn’t be more different. However, they have a few very strong commonalities. One is that they’re both big hits that can be streamed with a Netflix subscription, obviously. The second, and the more important one, is that they share a director and writer, Philip Barantini and Jack Thorne, respectively, as they are now both set to work on Enola Holmes 3.

After creating and directing Adolescence, which has been one of the smash hits of the 2025 TV schedule, Thorne and Barantini are staying at Netflix to pen and direct the third Enola Holmes movie, respectively. Earlier this year, their crime drama series made waves due to its one-take episodes and intense story. So, with that in mind, Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge announced their threequel’s production with this delightfully fitting (and low-key stressful) oner:

Now, Enola Holmes and Adolescence are two titles I never expected to write in the same sentence (with the exception of if they somehow wound up in Netflix’s schedule around the same time). However, here we are. And their connection actually makes so much sense.

Philip Barantini is a totally new addition to this world, with Enola Holmes 3 serving as his follow-up to Adolescence.

Meanwhile, Jack Thorne is actually one of the masterminds behind both projects. He co-created and wrote the binge-worthy Adolescence, and for the last few months, all the focus has been on that. However, he is also one of the people behind Enola Holmes, another wickedly successful Netflix project. He wrote the screenplay for both of the films about Sherlock Holmes’ younger sister, and he’s writing the script for this third film as well.

Now, Enola Holmes 3 will notably be the first film in this series that Harry Bradbeer didn’t direct. While he did a good job with the first two, I have to admit the idea of having Barantini’s voice in the mix to provide a new take on Milly Bobby Brown’s character excites me.

Plus, what makes this even better is that Barantini has a history with Thorne. They both played pivotal roles in Adolescence. I’d also assume that if Adolescence gets a Season 2, they’d collaborate again for it, considering how well their first installment was received. So, we know they know how to work together well, and hopefully, that means we’ll be in for something special with Enola Holmes 3.

I also hope it means we’ll get some cool one-take shots in Enola Holmes. That method of filming was Adolescence’s whole thing, and I think this Sherlock Holmes adjacent mystery could benefit from it too. These films have so much fast talking and amazing action in them, it’d be ten times more fun to see Enola in a walk and talk with one of her brothers or evading a bad guy while running through the streets in a shot that has no cuts.

Now that we know Enola Holmes 3 is finally happening with such an exciting filmmaker, the fantasies about what could happen in it are flying around in my mind. According to Netflix, the movie will take place in Malta, where our favorite young crime solver will face “a case more tangled and treacherous than she has faced before.” We also know that alongside Brown and Partidge, Henry Cavill will reprise his role as Sherlock and Himesh Patel will join the cast as Watson!

Overall, this sounds like a project Philip Barantini and Jack Thorne can have a blast with, and I can’t wait to see where they take this story now that they have Adolescence under their belts (hopefully, it includes some incredible oners).
