With Jackass: Best and Last on the 2026 movie schedule, the franchise is taking its final bow with a mix of new footage, greatest-hits chaos and, per reviews, there's a surprisingly poignant sense of closure. That final-chapter setup also means the cast -- which includes Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and co. -- is looking back at some of the franchise’s most infamous moments, Now, Steve-O is sharing the story behind one of his iconic stunts, which apparently followed a "day of doing cocaine."

Of course, looking back at classic Jackass bits also means revisiting how some of those stunts came together, and Steve-O’s story about one of his best stunts, “Tropical Pole Vaulting,” is about as wild as you would expect. While talking about the final movie, the longtime MTV star opened up about the messy backstory behind the stunt, and his explanation makes the whole thing sound even more reckless than it already looked. He explained to Entertainment Weekly:

That is maybe the most early-Jackass origin story imaginable. It has bad judgment, physical danger, a strangely specific athletic component and a body of water no reasonable person would willingly enter. Somehow, it also has a recognizable creative process buried inside the madness.

For anyone who needs the refresher, “Tropical Pole Vaulting” appears in Jackass: The Movie, which you can revisit with a Paramount+ subscription. The bit is pretty much what the title promises: the former professionally trained clown uses a pole vault at various outdoor locations and hurls himself into places where human bodies are not especially welcome. It is not one of the franchise’s most elaborate stunts, but it has the grimy, slapdash energy that defined those early years.

The wild part is that, according to Steve-O, there was actually training involved. He said franchise director Jeff Tremaine helped set him up with the pole vaulting team at UCLA so he could practice before shooting the bit.

With all this said, Johnny Knoxville recently emphasized that the cast was sober while performing stunts. Steve-O’s story frames the drug use as happening the day before, though he also makes clear he was still awake and in bad shape when the stunt was happening. Either way, it paints a pretty bleak picture of where he was personally during that era.

Steve-O has been open for years about his sobriety and how his approach to stunts changed after getting clean. The Jackass franchise has always sold itself on bodies hitting the ground, but the Wildboyz veteran reflections often add another layer: the difference between performing fearlessly and performing while completely wrecked.

“Tropical Pole Vaulting” may have made the movie, but Steve-O does not sound especially proud of how he got there. If anything, his version makes the stunt feel like a snapshot of a much messier time in his and the series' life. I, for one, am happy to see him and the whole cast in a much better place, and pulling off some of the best stunts of their careers, even this many years later.

For over a quarter-century on Jackass, Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and a band of merry mischief-makers have been hurting and humiliating each other, all in the name of comedy. After several movies and TV show spinoffs, the stunts are coming to an end with Jackass: Best and Last. The 2026 movie release is part victory lap, part greatest hits compilation, but Steve-O has his own unique way of describing the last chapter.

Every Jackass movie seemed to bring about questions of just how long the franchise could sustain itself — and how much punishment the participants’ bodies could take. We now have our answer, with Steve-O confirming Jackass: Best and Last is “one-hundred percent” the last one. In addition to some new stunts, the new movie features never-before-aired footage that couldn’t be shown in previous offerings. Steve-O told People:

There is something strangely beautiful in Steve-O’s description of their final Jackass outing being a place where all of the wayward clips found a home. In fact, critics noted how “poignant” Best and Last is, as well, celebrating 26 years of friendship in the best way they know how — with more Jackass nudity, pain, pranks and lots and lots of laughter.

Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville, Wee Man and Chris Pontius are all in their 50s now, and after so many years of putting their bodies through the kind of “f---ed-up sh-t” that Jackass requires, this does seem like an appropriate finish line.

Steve-O even said when confirming that there will be no more after Best and Last that “you can't really do Jackass” after the bull injury that Johnny Knoxville (who refuses to go by his “venereal disease” real name) suffered in 2020 while filming Jackass Forever.

Johnny Knoxville was gored by a bull (twice) while filming the franchise’s fourth movie, resulting in injuries that included broken ribs, a concussion and brain hemorrhage. He’d already suffered 16 concussions from previous exploits, and he took months to recover — both physically and mentally — from the bull incident.

As such, it’s no surprise that the actor wasn’t able to participate in any big, new stunts for Jackass: Best and Last, because he couldn’t risk getting hit in the head again.

That doesn’t mean the new movie plays it safe, by any means. Steve-O and the others still take their hits, and thanks to the inclusion of some classic clips, audiences even get to see Bam Margera, who was fired from the franchise during Jackass Forever filming, and Ryan Dunn, who died in a car crash in 2011.

It will be the end of an era when Jackass: Best and Last hits the 2026 movie schedule this weekend, as Johnny Knoxville’s franchise comes to a close after more than a quarter-century of dangerous, vomit-inducing and nudity-heavy stunts. An entire generation has grown up watching Steve-O, Wee Man and more risk their lives for a laugh, but there’s one misconception that Knoxville would like to clear up.

Jackass: Best and Last is getting surprisingly positive feedback from critics, as the final movie in the series combines classic clips, never-before-seen footage and new stunts. It’s a greatest hits collection that shows how, for 26 years, these guys have put their bodies through things that no sober, clear-thinking person would … right? Apparently, that’s not the case, and while Johnny Knoxville admits there’s been a lot of partying over the years, it didn’t happen while they filmed. He told Esquire:

Johnny Knoxville knows all too well how dangerous what they do is — pointing out that Jackass stunts, unlike Tom Cruise’s in Mission: Impossible, are set up to fail. As a result, Knoxville suffered 16 concussions even before the catastrophic bull injury that left him with brain damage. In fact, that prevented him from performing any extreme stunts in the new movie, because he can’t risk getting hit in the head again. Drugs and alcohol definitely have no place in a situation that’s already that dangerous.

They may not have been imbibing or using when they did the stunts, but the Jackass crew has seen its share of substance abuse issues. Steve-O has credited Johnny Knoxville with helping him get sober in 2008, with Knoxville calling him “extremely brave” for making that choice every day — strong words, given what they do for a living.

Substance abuse is also reportedly the reason behind Johnny Knoxville and Bam Margera’s falling out. The latter was fired from Jackass Forever, reportedly due to his alcoholism, which led Margera to file a lawsuit against Knoxville, Paramount and others.

Some truly scary times followed, in which Bam Margera was in and out of rehab, and he’d post alarming social media messages and then go missing. Now, however, Margera seems to be in a much better place, as his parents recently offered a positive update on his sobriety journey.

It’s actually a relief to know that Johnny Knoxville and the rest apparently had strict rules against being drunk or high when doing stunts, because at least if they’re going to be putting themselves in such ridiculous and dangerous situations, they’re doing it with a clear mind.

We may not see any new extreme stunts from Bam Margera or Johnny Knoxville in Jackass: Best and Last, but thanks to the “greatest hits” nature of the movie, we’ll still see them in some gems from the past — including behind-the-scenes footage of the bull incident that sidelined Knoxville.

The Jackass franchise has been around for over a quarter of a century, which is unimaginable when you think of all the punishment that Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius and the rest of their gang have inflicted on themselves. Either way, one final round is hitting the 2026 movie calendar in Jackass: Best and Last, bringing more nudity and stunts to the big screen. It sounds like there’s something more, though, because reviews are out and critics are describing the fifth and final movie in a way I’d never have expected.

“Poignant” is not a term I’d associate with the Jackass franchise, but with its stars now in their 50s, there’s a higher price to pay for some of the stunts they’ve pulled, and Jackass: Best and Last seems to know it, according to the critics. Johnny Knoxville, for instance, can’t get hit in the head anymore after the “catastrophic” bull injury we witnessed in the last movie. David Ehrlich of IndieWire gives the swan song a B, writing that this greatest hits album sprinkled with new stunts “cements the franchise as a vital piece of American history.” He says:

Todd Gilchrist of The Wrap poetically writes that, “Of all of the things to be tugged at in Jackass: Best and Last, the one that fans may least expect is their heartstrings." The movie combines new stunts with classic favorites, and even Johnny Knoxville gets choked up at the emotion of ending this chapter. Gilchrist’s review of Jackass: Best and Last reads:

Guy Lodge of Variety says while this final outing is “oddly poignant,” it would be a mistake to expect anything too sentimental from this group. Jackass 5 relives lots of the franchise’s best moments of humiliation and pain, with new bits that the critic says can almost stand side-by-side with the classics. In Lodge’s words:

Hannah Strong of Little White Lies writes that she enjoyed the new footage of Johnny Knoxville’s bull stunt and other behind-the-scenes footage, because it gives insight into how far the gang was willing to go for the show. The interviews, as well, highlight how important the friendships are to ensure Jackass remains funnier than mean. More of that would have been welcome, but Strong has no real complaints about this final outing:

The use of archival footage allows Bam Margera to be included in Jackass: Best and Last, as well as Ryan Dunn, who died in a car crash in 2011. I certainly didn’t expect the end of Jackass to be described as emotional — or “poignant” — especially after seeing in the previews what new stunts await.

One of the most visceral and horrific things that ever happened during a Jackass movie came in Jackass Forever when Johnny Knoxville, bravely, foolhardily, or both, went up against a bull at the tender age of 50 during filming. Johnny vs. The Bull left him horrifically bruised, with a broken rib, brain hemorrhage, concussion, and an additional broken wrist. In short, he’s not allowed to do this sort of thing anymore.

Yet, another Jackass film is still coming, with Knoxville at the forefront. The enterprising leader, now 54, has handed off a lot of the more over-the-top stunts to younger newcomers, particularly in Jackass Forever, but he’s still coming back, baby. He just knows he “can’t get hit in the head anymore,” telling Syndicate X Library about the upcoming installation:

Just a few days ago Knoxville dropped a post officially announcing Jackass 5 was in the pipeline. The news was pretty much out of nowhere, but wasn't a huge surprise, given Steve-O is still out there saying he wants to make "Tom Cruise look like a big, fat p---y" when it comes to stunt work. This is coming from a man who once had third degree burns on 15% of his body.

Knoxville's a bit of a different case. His injuries on the last movie are well-documented, too, but he's a little less bullish about his future in the stunt world. The trailer for Jackass Forever highlighted him getting wrecked by a bull. He later said he doesn't regret it, even with the brain damage that was documented after. In fact, even with the doctor ordering him to avoid concussions, I don't think it's the most brutal injury the man ever suffered in order to make his art.

Johnny Knoxville Had An Even Gnarlier Injury Than The Bull Stunt

In Jackass Presents: Mat Hoffman’s Tribute to Evel Knievel, the stuntman attempted a bike stunt that went awry when the bike could not complete a backflip. Instead it landed, hard, directly on his private parts.

Knoxville would later telling Variety he "broke his Jim dog," but that's underselling what happened. His penis broke, he tore his urethra, and he needed a catheter for three plus years after the accident. It was less dangerous to his personal health than the concussions, but certainly more of a graphic and brutal injury.

Honestly, because of this and the other many other ill-advised Jackass stunts over the years, he said the bull stunt was the last time we'll ever see him take on something so big. Yet, after questions and rumors, Jackass 5 is coming because they are younger guys coming in now to take on some of the heavy lifting.

Jackass ultimately is in Johnny Knoxville's blood. He got brutally honest about why he got in the game this week, noting he literally made a "career out of failing."

And so, Jackass 5 marches forward, a little engine that could, even when it probably shouldn't. Personally, I can't wait.

Mickey 17 is quite an offbeat dark comedy for Robert Pattinson. He portrays an “expendable” who dies and is repeatedly cloned for dangerous space missions until he confronts one of his clones. As soon as the sci-fi movie’s first trailer premiered, you couldn’t ignore the British actor’s unexpectedly distinctive new voice. If you’re curious where the Remember Me actor got his Mickey 17 voice from, he credits Jackass’ Steve-O, and now I can’t unhear it.

If I were to describe Robert Pattinson’s voice as Mickey Barnes, I would say it’s a bit raspy and quirky. There's almost an underdog quality of being unsure of what life throws at you, but you still go along with it all. That's all the more reason why Pattinson is perfect to play Bong Joon-ho’s character, who’s constantly thrown in death-defying missions. As to where Pattinson drew inspiration from, here's what he told Capital Buzz TikTok:

That makes so much sense! As Steve-O has received the worst injuries in the Jackass franchise, you can hear this chaotic energy in the stunt performer's voice whenever a prank goes horribly wrong. I can tell Robert Pattinson tries to mirror Steve-O’s raspiness, enthusiasm, and reckless energy. You can almost hear the weight of all of the dangerous missions this “expendable” has been through in the authentic voice he created. Now, that’s true talent.

Robert Pattinson is the perfect example of an actor who heavily alters their voice for a role. Just when you thought it was a stretch for the British star to talk in an American accent for the Twilight movies, he donned a French accent for Netflix’s The King, which certainly got fans talking. In his role as a detestable pastor in The Devil All the Time, Pattinson surprised the cast and crew with his deep Southern accent that he waited to debut on the first day of shooting. Hey, if you’re gonna wow a film set as well as an audience, you might as well go big.

And we can’t forget about the dark, brooding voice the high-grossing actor used for The Batman. Robert Pattinson felt that sounding like the Caped Crusader came out ”organically” as he kept getting more into character. Director Matt Reeves even made sure Pattinson’s “Bat Voice” was the same as his alter ego Bruce Wayne’s for audiences to further connect with the iconic character. With all of the voices Pattinson comes up with for his characters, it shows how much he understands the roles he embodies and wants to bring something unique and layered to each one.

Now that I know that Pattinson’s Mickey 17 voice came from Jackass’ Steve-O, now that’s all I'll be able to hear out of the Good Time actor when I see the book-to-screen adaptation. Well, as the darkly comedic character does go through some Jackass-type scenarios that are more dangerously scary to go through compared to intentionally funny, I think Pattinson picked a good muse to draw on.

At the age of 62 Tom Cruise isn’t only one of the biggest movie stars in the world, but one who is known above all for his impressive stunt work. Cruise and his stunts are certainly an inspiration to many, but perhaps none more so than Jackass alum Steve-O, who is apparently inspired by Cruise to continue his own crazy stunts, in an attempt to outdo the Mission: Impossible star.

While most of the members of the Jackass crew have seemingly pulled back on doing the sorts of things that might permanently injure them, Steve-O has continued to tour while doing some of the most bizarre, and legitimately dangerous things that he can imagine. The man considered giving himself breast implants, and while he has decided against that, he recently told EW that he’s come up with crazier ideas, all in an attempt to try and do things that make Tom Cruise stents look mundane. He said…

I guess it’s an understandable feeling. If you see Tom Cruise driving motorcycles off of cliffs in his 60s, and you’re 50, you figure you must still be able to do things just as nuts, even Steve-O has a professed fear of skydiving. It’s actually quite the compliment that Steve-O, one of the world’s foremost authorities on doing crazy stuff, is just as impressed with what Tom Cruise does as the rest of us.

Steve-O tells EW he considered firing a bullet through the side of his mouth, believing it would pass through his cheeks with minimal damage. Luckily, it appears Steve-O does do research on his stunts, and he realized that wouldn’t actually work out well for him.

Still, while he is trying to make Tom Cruise look bad, Steve-O is realizing that he may be coming to the end of his time putting his body on the line and causing people to pass out at his shows. His current tour has pushed his body to its apparent limit. The main problem is Steve-O doesn’t seem to know what to do if he’s not doing this. He continued…

Steve-O has done some crazy stunts in his life and fans certainly love to see him do them. Those fans (hopefully) also want him to stop before he pushes himself too far. He’s certainly shown what he can do at 50 years old. Maybe leave the crazy stuff to Tom Cruise now.

Anyone who watched Jackass Forever in 2022 knows that it generally felt like the hits were coming harder while the guys were going less hard, if that makes sense. While the majority of the stunts weren’t nearly as reckless as past iterations of the franchise (many of the guys are also sober now), even with young blood added, the main cast is much older. There was nothing that really hammered home this concept more than Johnny Knoxville choosing to get into a ring with a bull again, to disastrous results.  

Now, he's spoken about how he feels and whether a potential Jackass 5 could touch on this sort of sketch again. 

Jackass’ History With Bull Stunts On The Big Screen 

Through the history of Jackass, bulls have been a mainstay. In every single Jackass movie to date, there has been a bull-related segment. In the first movie, the plot of the stunt was pretty straightforward, with members of the cast being tasked to simply step in a ring and work things out with a bull. In Jackass Number Two, the plot was amped up considerably, with four of the guys on a sort of seesaw trying to outwit one another as an angry bull charged around. 

Jackass 3D has what is probably the funniest bull sketch, in my opinion, where Johnny Knoxville dresses up in paint camouflaged to look like a farm setting (but with a giant target literally painted on his back). 

But when Jackass 3D came out in 2010, Knoxville was not even 40 yet. By 2022, when Jackass Forever came out, the funnyman and stunt performer was over 50. Honestly, that’s a big difference in terms of agility and your body's fragility, but he ultimately went for it in the fourth movie anyway. 

Frankly, the stunt is harrowing, the bull is bigger and angrier and we see a shot of Steve-O looking concerned (after admitting on cam he hates this stunt more than anything else the gang does) before Knoxville is literally plowed down and knocked out. It’s all shown on camera and it led to the stuntman going to the hospital. Knoxville's spoken openly about dealing with brain damage after the incident, though he’s said he doesn’t regret it. 

The Promise Johnny Knoxville Has Made His Kids

We’ll get more into the major injury Knoxville suffered on the set of Jackass Forever in just a minute, but Knoxville has also spoken out about why he felt like there needed to be a bull stunt in the latest movie in the franchise. He said he knew it would be probably his last opportunity to actually do the big stunts, even if Jackass 5 ever gets made.

Now, though, he's made a “promise” to his kids that he wouldn’t put himself at risk for any more concussions – if he ever does major stunt work again. During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, he told Fallon the specific agreement he’d made with his family.  

It makes sense. Knoxville has said  the stunt was ill-conceived from the start and the bull was simply not excited about his antics this time around. 

Director Jeff Tremaine admitted the stunt knocked the actor out for 3-4 minutes in the same interview with Variety. And Steve-O called watching Johnny Knoxville put his body at the mercy of a bull a “bummer.” While he sounds a bit more committed to his own personal safety moving forward, he hasn’t stopped writing down Jackass ideas, also telling Fallon: 

Listen, I get why Knoxville wanted to commit to a bull stunt for one final movie, particularly given a lot of the stunts in the last film were a bit tamer and this stunt did up the ante in regards to danger a bit. While I’m happy for him that he doesn’t look back and regret his choice, I’m also happy his kids have committed him to keeping two feet firmly planted outside of a bull ring moving forward. 

From spinoff shows to WrestleMania appearances to lucrative tours to dream acting roles with Danny DeVito and others, several members of the Jackass crew have found incredible success outside the franchise that made them famous. Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O in particular have achieved heights neither one likely ever thought possible, but that doesn’t mean fans won’t always still be clamoring for more classic Jackass shenanigans. There’s just something nostalgic and loveable about the movies that fans can’t get away from; so, it should come as no surprise that Steve-O recently sat for an interview and was asked about whether a fifth movie is going to happen.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, the beloved stuntman was asked what the chances are we’ll see all the guys together to shoot another film. Unfortunately, this update may not have been what some fans were looking for. He said there haven’t been any conversations about another film and pointed to his co-star Johnny Knoxville’s brain injury on the set of Jackass Forever as a reason they’re taking it easy.

The line between comedy and traumatic injury has always been a little fuzzier than a doctor would recommend on Jackass. Many of the group’s best bits have involved someone putting their body at serious risk, but as many in the group have gotten older and more sober, the risks of that recklessness have come more to the forefront. That was especially true while filming the terrific Jackass Forever when a stunt with a bull went wrong and Knoxville ended up in the hospital with a concussion and brain damage that required months of rehab and antidepressants. Steve-O has been open about how much the Jackass stunt stuck with him, and even more than a year later, he's clearly shook up about it.

Steve-O and company have given fans plenty of footage over the years. They should definitely not make another Jackass movie if they don’t want to. Recovering from an injury in your late 40s and early 50s, as most of the guys are now, is way harder than doing so in your 20s. That being said, I hope they do realize that a lot of what so many of us loved about watching them wasn’t the injuries. 

It was watching them hang out and bond through awkward and uncomfortable circumstances. Some of their best bits are more clever than scary, and at some point down the road, if they ever wanted to make a movie that involved less physical violence and more pranks and awkward hijinks, many of us would be there.  

Jackass remains one of the most beloved media franchises in all of pop culture, as fans collectively still have a soft spot for MTV’s band of daredevils. Unfortunately though, there’s been a little bit of animosity within their ranks over the last few years. OG member Bam Margera has had beef with several of his former cohorts, including Steve-O. Though the entertainer and author tried to help Margera early on, they eventually started keeping their distance from one another. There now seems to be a glimmer of hope, however, when it comes to a reconciliation between the two. That’s apparently because a notable wrestling star is helping them reconnect. 

The performer, whose real name is Stephen Glover, has been incredibly candid when discussing his relationship with his former co-star during the last several months. Much of what he’s had to say involves his concerns for Bam Margera, who has struggled with addiction. Thankfully, Glover had some positive news to report during an installment of his Wild Ride! Podcast. In a clip shared to TikTok, the 49-year-old stuntman revealed he’s been wanting to connect with Margera over skateboarding, which is something they both love. And to do so, Glover asked a good friend to reach out to the Viva La Bam star – AEW star Darby Allin: 

Given everything that’s transpired between the two in recent months, that’s certainly a solid first step to repairing their friendship. Reunions don’t typically happen overnight, especially when it comes to delicate situations like these. While I’m glad the MTV vet extended an olive branch, one really has to give credit to Darby Allin for being the real MVP here. He definitely didn’t have to go out of his way to send that message, but it’s so great that he did. Kudos to the TNT Championship winner for playing peacemaker following what’s been a somewhat uneasy time for two former co-stars.

Bam Margera notably filed suit against his colleagues a few years ago after he was removed from Jackass Forever after reportedly failing a drug test. In the aftermath, Steve-O stated that his relationship with Margera was still sturdy and proved that by taking him on tour with him. The former clown hoped to give his buddy an outlet while he attempted to achieve sobriety. Months later though, Margera took shots at his buddy in a diss track that he dropped and, shortly after, he took more shots at Steve-O by criticizing his skateboarding skills. This eventually led to a back-and-forth between the pair that persisted for a few weeks. 

Despite all of that, it sounds like the A Hard Kick in the Nuts author is prepared to bury the hatchet, and he continues to root for his old buddy. So it should come as no surprise that after he spoke about how the AEW veteran sent the message, he revealed a positive update the wrestler shared with him:

Steve-O showed a significant amount of concern for Bam Margera over this past year. He even penned a (since-deleted) emotional message on Instagram, in which he opined that his friend was “dying.” His situation has been looking better in recent weeks, though, as Margera has not only been open about his struggles but also how he’s received help with his sobriety journey. One can only hope that he continues to make progress on that front and that his bond with his former on-screen partner improves. We’ll see how that all pans out as time goes on and whether Darby Allin continues to play middleman for them as well.

Steve-O (whose real name is Stephen Glover) is known for his fearless antics as one of the beloved cast members of Jackass, as well as being no stranger to wild stunts. The former MTV reality star is now taking comedy to a new level with his latest project, Steve-O's Bucket List. The exclusive trailer for his third standup special offers a blend of classic Jackass-style stunts and side-splitting standup comedy. It was filmed during his sold-out Bucket List comedy tour in London last July, which marked  Steve-O's anticipated return to the U.K.. The Game Over, Man! alum enthusiastically hails this special as "the greatest thing [he's] ever done." It's left an indelible mark on the audience, including many people passing out. After hearing about these fainting episodes, watching the "Vasectomy Olympics" has become a significant source of concern for me.

Speaking to EW about the daring endeavor, Glover recounted some astonishing statistics, revealing that his comedy shows have a rather unexpected side effect: making people pass out. He explained: 

Lighthearted gore and his outrageous stunts have always been a staple in the former Ringling Brothers performer’s repertoire, but what’s even more shocking is the reason behind the audience’s fainting spells. It all stems from a segment in the special known as the “Vasectomy Olympics.” Steve-O admitted:

The insane stunt was inspired by a joke the comic had heard as a kid, “What’s the definition of macho? A man who jogs home from his own vasectomy.” This joke planted the seed of curiosity in his 12-year-old mind, leading him to contemplate the idea of having a vasectomy and taking it to unprecedented extremes, but instead of running, Glover rides a horse bareback, amongst other things.

Although the one-time professional clown says he didn’t aim to induce fainting, his objective was to take his stunts to the extreme and, as he puts it, “push everything further” beyond the confines of community guidelines restricting his content on platforms like YouTube and social media. The daredevil further joked:

In the comedy special, it's not just the vasectomy stunt that's making the audience faint. Another shocking moment that led to people passing out is the "Spinal Tap" stunt, where the Wildboyz star undergoes an on-camera epidural procedure. As he recounts:

Let it never be said that the cast of Jackass have not led interesting lives. While Bam Margera has continued to be in the headlines for a host of reasons, most of them not great, Steve-O is still out there doing his own thing. He’s currently on tour and he’s celebrating his final shows in Florida by showing off his collection of Florida mugshots, like you do.

Steve-O is getting ready for the final four shows of his Bucket List tour and advertised them on Instagram by showing off mugshots of the four times he was arrested in the state. I don’t know just what he was up to each time, but I really appreciate mugshot number three. In the other ones he’s trying to look like he doesn’t really care he got arrested, but in that one, there’s a clear “yeah, here we are again” sort of vibe that I appreciate.

When you look at actual mugshots you tend to see expressions like the other three of these, an attempt to convey that it's no big deal that you just got arrested. The other possibility is a look of fear as you realize you have been arrested and you don't know what's going to happen next. That's why the other image is so perfect. He's not trying to make it look like this is no big deal. You can see that he actually doesn't feel like it's a big deal. He can't be bothered to even pretend like he's a tough guy.

It says something about the life and times of Steve-O that while there are records of him being arrested for a variety of interesting offenses literally all over the world, I have no idea what he did any of the four times he was arrested in Florida. I found a suggestion that at least one of these is from a DUI, and Steve-O has a known history of substance abuse, but only the Jackass icon knows for sure.

I suppose it shouldn’t be too big a shock that a bunch of guys who have a willingness to put their bodies at risk regularly might occasionally end up on the wrong side of the law. Steve-O's Jackass stunts are worthy of a highlight reel all their own. As mentioned, his most noteworthy arrests, and there are several, don’t even cover whatever he got up to in Florida, so the guy has been arrested many, many…many times in his life.

A lot of it was drug-related, leading to Steve-O entering rehab back in 2008. His only major run-in with the law since then was as part of an anti-SeaWorld protest, Steve-O is a major animal rights advocate, in 2015.  climbed a construction crane during the protest, which he apparently did completely sober, which is perhaps even more impressive.

If these were all “under the influence” arrests, as seems quite possible then Steve-O should be going back to Florida without likely getting arrested again. He has reportedly maintained his sobriety since his time in rehab, a fact which unfortunately has not influenced his Jackass co-star Bam Margera. Still, it may lead to some funny stories when he returns to Florida on his tour. 

The ongoing feud between Bam Margera and his former Jackass colleagues took a musical turn over the summer, as Margera dropped a diss track that stirred up even more tension. Within this fiery musical salvo, one of the individuals squarely in the crosshairs of Margera's verbal jabs is none other than Steve-O, whose skateboarding prowess becomes a central point of contention. Following an exchange of barbs and insults between the former collaborators, Steve-O provided an update on the two’s relationship.

The stuntman was asked about the present state of his connection with Margera during an interview with Insider. Instead of fueling the ongoing public feud, he offered a composed response to the publication, stating:

This revelation shines a light on a relationship that seems to have deteriorated significantly. It's worth noting that these two were once close friends, who embarked on a summer tour together. However, Bam Margera's ongoing struggles with substance abuse resurfaced, straining their bond.

Steve-O, whose birth name is Stephen Glover, has expressed genuine concern and supported his longtime friend steadfastly as he was in and out of rehab. His worries prompted him to take steps to help his friend's sobriety by including him on his Bucket List Tour. Initially, this arrangement seemed to have a positive impact but, unfortunately, the Bam's World Domination vet eventually decided to part ways. He shared his decision via a social media post, which elicited an emotional response from Glover that he ultimately deleted. His heartfelt message conveyed several sobering sentiments, culminating in one particularly poignant declaration: "You're dying, brother."

Following these developments, a heated exchange of words unfolded between Stephen Glover and the former Viva La Bam star. Bam Margera's diss track, aptly named "Feel Like Bam," was brimming with direct insults aimed at the entire Jackass crew. While he took particular aim at his former associates Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, possibly due to his removal from the production of Jackass Forever and the subsequent lawsuit, he didn't spare Steve-O from his criticism, mainly focusing on the former clown's skateboarding style. In response, the Wildboyz alum took the time to craft a video response addressing these allegations. However, Margera seized this opportunity to escalate the feud further, resulting in the follow-up where he took more shots at Steve-O by focusing on the reaction video.

The drama has undoubtedly evolved, with the author and entertainer adopting a more measured approach. Only time will tell if his troubled former co-star will clean up his act and repair his relationships with his ex friends and colleagues. 

As Jackass prepares to return to the small screen, reuniting many of the series' familiar faces, it appears Bam Margera has definitively chosen to stay out of the fold. That's possibly indicated by his alleged change of phone number as Steve-O has mentioned. Of all the Jackass stars who have put their lives (and dignity) on the line for the sake of entertainment, few, if any, come close to the wild, crazy, and vomit-inducing stunts performed by Steve-O. Over the years, the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Clown College graduate, “Poo Cocktail Supreme” survivor and Bee-Kini model has done a lot to his mind, body, and soul, but his latest stunt could be be one of the oddest yet: an all-natural voodoo doll.

Ahead of the official release of Steve-O All Natural Voodoo Doll, a limited edition, handmade figure produced with Liquid Death, the stuntman, comedian and podcaser participated in an email Q&A interview with CinemaBlend where he discussed a number of topics including more Jackass movies, his work with the WWE and what freaks him out about his “creepy” doll. On the subject of the doll, he said this:

Though Steve-O wasn’t fully sure how he would be affected by fans purchasing and rubbing wasabi beads or hot sauce in the nose and eyes of dolls, or placing it near a beehive, he did say that these were the "real deal":

It has been more than a year since Jackass Forever rolled into theaters and gave fans of the franchise a surprisingly sentimental and emotional experience that admittedly felt like a send-off for the crew who entertained us for years now. When asked if we’ll be seeing any more films in the franchise, Steve-O had this to say:

Part of the crew did, in fact, get together for Jackass Shark Week on Discovery Channel in 2022, but there hasn't been any word on a reunion of sorts since then. Earlier in 2023, Steve-O brought Bam Margera with him on the road for his “The Bucket List Tour,” but their time together was short-lived after the former Jackass and CKY star had relapsed. Despite those problems, as well as troubles between Bam and the Jackass crew, Steve-O previously stated that he is here for Margera.

In addition to appearing in four theatrical releases, two full seasons and countless specials in the Jackass franchise (as well as the various spinoffs), Steve-O and the crew have a long history in WWE, one that includes one of the most infamous celebrity appearances in pro wrestling. When asked about a possible return to WWE, he made it seem like he wasn’t down to have a repeat of his last time in the squared circle:

Steve-O was referencing a 2007 appearance in which he and Wildboyz co-star Chris Pontius had an in-ring segment with the late Umaga, an incident he later revisited in a 2019 video titled “The Worst Beating I Ever Got!”

The continued feud between Bam Margera and his former Jackass co-stars took a musical turn due to a diss track Margera recently released. One of the targets that was particularly struck by those insults was none other than Steve-O, whose skateboarding skills were roasted in the song entitled “Feel Like Bam.” The back-and-forth between the ex-collaborators is still raging, with Margera taking more shots and doubling down on his criticisms.

As the drama continues to unfold, TMZ provided some first-hand reporting on Bam Margera’s latest round of critiques. The news outlet caught up with the man himself while he was hanging out with a few buddies, and he shared some thoughts. While further discussing Steve-O’s kickflips, Margera claimed his former friend had the "worst style in skateboarding." He summed up his thoughts with the closing line, “You gotta have style.”

It really has been a back-and-forth war of words between Steve-O (who's actually named Stephen Glover) and the Viva La Bam star. With the diss track “Feel Like Bam” being full of Jackass crew insults such as these, the Wildboyz co-host took time to put together a video response to those claims of no skating style. However, Margera clearly saw that as a chance to dig deeper, resulting in this new update that sees him poking fun at the reaction video.

Recorded by Cult Shφtta, SinceWhen and Tanboymiguel, ”Feel Like Bam” sees the MTV alum sharing a number of discouraging sentiments about his former collaborators. He takes particular aim at former compatriots Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Tremaine, likely as a result of his dismissal from Jackass Forever’s production, which resulted in a since-settled lawsuit.

The latest chapter in the fallout is sad to see as, earlier this year, Bam Margera was on tour with Steve-O. And for a little while, it seemed to be going well. That changed when Margera had a reported relapse in his sobriety journey, leaving Stephen Glover to post, then delete, a very concerned plea on social media. As it stands, it looks like this house of once merry pranksters and performers is even more divided than before, with no logical end in sight. 

While parties are still concerned about Bam Margera’s behavior, the 43-year-old entertainer himself still seems to be concerned with airing grievances. There’s also further potential for responses to “Feel Like Bam” as, at this moment, only Steve-O has seemingly responded to Margera’s callouts and insults; and even those are still on the more polite side. Uncertainty reigns, as no one can really predict what will happen next as well as what steps could possibly be taken to mend the rift between all involved.

Not only did his response include a commercial for his line of boards, but it also featured a compilation of some of his greatest skating moments. But as you might have guessed, this only got a bigger response from Margera.

Steve-O has tried to help Bam Margera reach the point of sobriety that he's reportedly at now. But now it seems they’re back to feuding, with Margera taking aim at a number of his Jackass colleagues during his diss track. Bam shared a TikTok of his live reaction watching Steve-O’s clap back, and once again had some things to say about his skating. Check it out below:

For his part, this is an area where Bam Margera is an expert. While he’s also a TV personality, skateboarding has always been his bread and butter. Which is why he had such a strong reaction to the clips in Steve-O’s compilation. Hopefully these two friends will find a way to come together amidst this drama.

As previously mentioned, Bam Margera seems largely focused on the custody battle he’s having with Nikki Boyd. Bam reportedly hasn’t seen his son for months, after Nikki and Phoenix were reportedly present for the public intoxication incident that got him arrested back in March. Margera maintains he’s sober following help from Lamar Odom, which is something his fans and colleagues have hoped for.

Bam Margera isn’t exactly chummy with his cohorts from Jackass these days. The 43-year-old stuntman and skateboarder seems to have mostly distanced himself from his longtime co-stars amid continued legal and health issues. Margera has been open about his problems with former colleague Johnny Knoxville. Meanwhile, fellow franchise vet Steve-O tried to extend some help to his troubled buddy by bringing him on tour. Despite making that kind gesture though, he wasn’t excluded when Margera took shots at the cast in a new song.

In June, social media posts surfaced, which showed Bam Margera dissing Johnny Knoxville while recording a track in a studio. It now seems that a song has been formally released and, while it doesn’t appear to be the exact tune that Margera was prepping, it’s no less explicit. The famed skateboarder teamed up with hip hop artists Cult Shotta and Tanboymiguel to produce the new single after reportedly meeting up with them in Los Angeles. This track, titled “Feels Like Bam,” calls out a number of the famed franchise’s alums, including Knoxville, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña and Jeff Tremaine. Even the cover created for the song parodies the MTV series. You can see in the Instagram post below:

TMZ offered up an exclusive first look at the music video for the song, in which one can hear the Viva La Bam star’s jabs at his former collaborators. The footage also shows him engaging in PDA with his alleged new girlfriend among other acts. Through the lyrics, the entertainer challenges the Dukes of Hazzard alum to a fight and implores him to “step in the ring, pussy.” On top of that, he accuses the actor of revving up a motorcycle in his house on one occasion. He later calls out Jeff Tremaine, referring to him as a “greedy, fat fucking pussy” who “made us sign a contract that everyone can get hurt except him.” The father of one also says, “I love Steve-O big time” but criticized his skateboarding skills. To put a stamp on his feelings, the amateur rapper said, “man, fuck ‘em all.”

Bam Margera’s new song furthers the idea that his co-stars ruined his career due to their extreme antics on and off camera. That hasn’t been the main source of bad blood amongst the group during the past few years, however. In 2021, it was revealed that Margera had been dropped from 2022’s Jackass Forever after testing positive for Adderall. Margera filed suit against the creative team, including Johnny Knoxville and director Jeff Tremaine. The case was eventually settled in the spring of 2022, though Margera has continuously called out the cast and crew in the aftermath. 

He actually challenged Johnny Knoxville to a fight months ago in an Instagram video that went viral. The Bam's Unholy Union’s star said at the time that he wanted to get in the ring with the Reboot alum so that he could “ring, ring, ring, 1-2-3, let’s go, I fuck you up.” Knoxville never publicly responded to the clip and as of right now, has not weighed in on the music video, either.

Jackass is set to return to the small screen with a new production, and many of the series’ veterans are in the mix. It's almost hard to believe it, but the Jackass crew has been entertaining audiences for over two decades. They recently returned to the big screen with Jackass Forever, which was a major hit. And even when they're not filming a movie, it seems that the crew can't help but get into trouble. Case in point: Steve-O was detained by police after jumping off the Tower Of London Bridge. And the pictures are fantastic.

Steve-O has been making plenty of headlines lately, partly thanks to his complicated relationship with Jackass co-star Bam Margera. But he's also got his own career, which includes an upcoming comedy special. He jumped off the Tower of London Bridge for that project with nothing but an umbrella, and promptly was arrested. I mean, how wild is that? Obviously Steve-O is no stranger to wild stunts, given his decades putting his body in danger for Jackass fans everywhere. This is another wild one for the books, and one that is no doubt going to be fun to watch during his forthcoming comedy special. Although I have to wonder what the legal expenses might be for Steve-O's return to the U.K..

Steve-O posted the above photo dump for his 6.7 million followers on Instagram. The caption (and images) show that he was ultimately detained by the police for his stunt, although he seems to have no ill-will for the officers who were just doing their job. Talk about some great free publicity for the comedy special.

It seems like Steve-O is using his arrest to encourage fans to come to the live taping of his comedy special. While the stunt was obviously pre-recorded, he'll be doing his comedy set in front of a live audience. And as such, he needs butts in the seats in order to make the special into a reality. Let's just hope he doesn't play any wild pranks on the folks in the audience.

As previously mentioned, Steve-O has also been in the news quite a bit lately thanks to his relationship with Jackass colleague Bam Margera. Bam has been having some very public struggles lately, including legal issues and complications related to substance abuse. Steve-O has tried to help his friend get on the straight and narrow, to no avail. But he continues to encourage Margera to get sober and therefore hopefully he'll be a resource if that time comes.

Many eyes have been on Bam Margera as of late, as the actor has been battling professional and personal problems. The past year has seen him bounce in and out of rehab, as he struggles with sobriety. He most recently checked out of a facility in California early in order to go to Las Vegas. Amid his exploits, a number of fans and those close to Margera have expressed concern about his well being. One of the latest people to express concern for him is his fellow Jackass alum Steve-O, who’s provided support for Margera amid his troubles.

Steve-O is no stranger to addiction, as he actually struggled with alcoholism for years. Thankfully, the fan-favorite stuntman finally got sober with the help of his friends and has kept away from liquor for over a decade now. With that, he’s been seeking to provide that same level of support for Bam Margera. Unfortunately, those efforts haven’t been so successful up to this point. The media personality, whose actual name is Stephen Glover, discussed his longtime buddy while speaking with NME. Glover expressed his desire for his friend to get help while sharing thoughts on his actions:

Earlier this year, the former clown actually brought his friend on his Bucket List Tour with him and explained that he did so out of concern for him. The Viva La Bam star eventually broke off, though, and subsequently participated in more reckless behavior. Steve-O later penned (and deleted) an emotional message meant for his friend, in which he stated his belief that he’s “dying.” Despite that, the more recent comments he made suggest that he’s still holding out hope that the skateboarder might turn things around.

Aside from the Jackass star, members of the Margera family have also shown concern for Bam. His older brother, Jess, spoke out weeks ago, while his brother was missing. It was at that time that he asked for assistance in locating his sibling. Their mother, April, got candid as well, saying that she and her family only want to help Bam. The reality TV star has also found a supporter in Lamar Odom, who’s also had experiences with addiction. Bam was actually staying at his rehab facility when he checked out. Odom responded to the decision and seemed worried about the company that the MTV vet has been keeping. 

The 43-year-old is currently in the process of divorcing his ex, Nicole Boyd and has apparently been seeking to connect with his son, Phoenix. The bad blood between the star and Boyd did seem to subside while he was in rehab, and he was even having Zoom chats with their son. However, now that he’s out of the facility, it’s unclear where things stand on that front.

There’s no way of telling just what exactly lies ahead for Bam Margera, One can only hope that he’ll get the help he needs in order to live a long and healthy life. That’s what Steve-O and many others seem to want for him.

Few people have attempted some of the wild stunts that Jackass legend Steve-O has participated in. He swallowed a live goldfish and vomited it back out and was launched into the air while in a port-a-potty attached to bungee cords, among other things. Some might assume that the stunt performer and former clown is simply a madman. That couldn’t be further from the truth, as he’s very cerebral when it comes to his and his cohorts’ undertakings. He recently got honest about what it was like watching Johnny Knoxville’s bull stunt, which unfortunately left him with brain damage. 

Jackass Forever was the production in which the major moment took place. The scene, which saw Johnny Knoxville enter the ring to match wits with the beast, is considered one of the film’s biggest sequences. However, it proved to be somewhat costly for the star, as he reportedly suffered a concussion, brain hemorrhage, broken wrist and broken rib. Knoxville seems to be doing alright now, but that’s a lot to give of yourself for a movie from a physical standpoint. Steve-O has seen his longtime friend take on a ton of challenges, but it sounds like he was really affected by the sight of his buddy getting taken down by: 

It’s very sweet of the 49-year-old star, whose actual name is Stephen Glover, to show such concern, and it’s not all that surprising, either. He’s shown support for his co-stars on a number of occasions, even recently helping fellow series alum Bam Margera, who toured with him. Glover even penned an emotional message to Margera amid his continued struggles with sobriety. One can understand his thoughts on the animal-centric feat as well. He clearly knows that his colleague has put himself through a lot over the years and, as a result, Glover views stunts like that differently at this point. 

Steve-O’s also been looking over his own material and seems to have mixed feelings about that as well. Later in his interview with NME, he singled out one particular moment from the 2022 movie, and it involves Machine Gun Kelly. He and MGK got knocked into a swimming pool by a giant hand while riding bikes. While that may sound entertaining on paper and may even look extreme, the Barely Lethal alum wasn’t all that impressed: 

These days, the entertainer has found different professional avenues through which he can express himself. He’s landed an acting gig or two and appeared as himself during a few media campaigns. He even wrote a book, A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I've Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions. He’s also currently on the U.K. leg of what he’s dubbed The Bucket List Tour, which sees him host screenings of filmed stunts that were apparently too spicy for even  Jackass. Meanwhile, Johnny Knoxville continues to act and hold down other media gigs. Whether Steve-O and Knoxville continue to look at their stunts differently over time remains to be seen. Though what can certainly be said is that fans certainly don’t want to see either of them get brain damage or any other additional injuries at this point.

I love the contrast of the wild, much younger Steve-O living it up in a blaze of glory and the older, more mature Steve-O with his glasses and flannel shirt talking about how it was twenty years ago. Fortunately for fans, while the Jackass star has gotten older and wiser, that doesn’t mean he’s turned his back on his death-defying roots. The reality star still tours the world talking about his exploits and as anyone who watched Jackass Forever can tell you, he still goes just as hard on the shenanigans as he did when he was much younger, though with some limits.

Not all of the other Jackass stars are completely sober like Steve-O, but on the whole, most seem to have found a nice balance between maturing and still remaining a madman at heart. That really shows through during the appearances they do together, and it unfortunately makes some of longtime co-star Bam Margera’s struggles feel that much more apart from the rest of the crew. The CKY veteran and Jackass pioneer has toured with Steve-O some in the past to the delight of fans, but unfortunately, he’s been dealing with some issues recently and isn’t expected to make the trip across the pond. Hopefully he’s able to get his life together enough to start making appearances with Steve-O and others again.

As for the current tour itself, it’s called The Bucket List, and it’s making its way around the world. It’s a multi-media comedy event that’s a reflection on how far stunts have gone, and Steve-O’s take on his career and personal life. There are stops all over Australia in early May, and he’ll be headed to The UK in late June and July. Tickets are available for the newly announced shows, though many sell out prior so consider getting your reservations in now. I’d advise picking them up. It should be a tremendous time. 

As carefree and reckless as the Jackass crew has been with their art, the members of the group seem to feel the most pain from a very personal rift with Bam Margera. As the ongoing drama between Bam and his former Jackass co-stars continues, a new post of his on social media prompted Steve-O to comment on his sobriety. The message, which was then deleted, could be summed up with one phrase: “You’re dying, brother.” 

The Bam Margera Social Media Post That Inspired Steve-O’s Response

Steve-O’s response came after Bam Margera made a post on Instagram, once more showing the cracks in his relationship with some of his Jackass crew. Sharing an older photo of himself along with Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O, Margera shared a message that acknowledged one friend in his corner while labeling the other a “poser.”

Bam Margera’s sobriety has been an ongoing concern that came to much media attention when he was fired from Jackass Forever. Various legal proceedings, along with some signs of improvement, have made headlines in the wake of those initial reports; with Margera blaming the Jackass franchise for his addictions. That recovery journey was what inspired Steve-O to bring Bam Margera on tour with him, as the two have been working on opening material together.

Working together again looked to be a sweet reunion of friends. Other photos of Bam and Steve on their "Best Behavior Tour" show them as recently as a week ago, smiling in front of a packed theater of onlookers. Bam Margera’s incendiary post above still sees him credit Steve-O as someone who has his back, despite further dwelling on the deteriorating Jackass situation. Sadly, this tour looks to have proven that Margera’s sobriety efforts have seemingly hit a major snag.

How Steve-O Responded To Bam Margera's Message

Originally, Steve-O responded to Bam Margera’s post with his own Instagram message. While he eventually removed that message from his account, a Twitter feed posted the contents of that message as follows: 

Claiming that Bam Margera has gone back on his sobriety efforts, Steve-O’s comment doesn’t read as a judgment or admonishment. It’s an emotional plea for his friend to get better for himself, as well as his son, who is also present for the tour that the two Jackass veterans are currently embarking on. 

It hasn’t been an easy road for Margera, especially after being declared dead while fighting COVID. While the “Best Behavior” tour looked to get off to a promising start, this latest bump in the road proves to be another obstacle in Bam Margera and his sobriety journey. 

Fans and friends alike will undoubtedly wish him the best, and hope for Bam to get the help he needs to straighten out. But obviously, it’s people like Steve-O that are pulling for him the hardest, after so many years in the trenches together.

It’s been a difficult few years for the early 2000s superstar skateboarder Bam Margera. His battle with substance abuse has seen him in and out of rehab, engaging in a contentious legal dispute with Jackass' creators and suing his former friends and co-stars, which caused him to be almost entirely excluded from the fourth film in the franchise. But the Viva La Bam star is out of rehab, claims to be sober, and is keeping himself busy. Margera is currently touring as the opening act for his old friend, Steve-O. The media personality jokes that Margera is the "Britney Spears’"of their beloved MTV franchise but reveals he has a specific reason for bringing the troubled star with him on tour. And it's commendable.

A video of the two MTV veterans workshopping stand-up material while on Steve-O’s “The Bucket List Tour" was obtained by TMZ. They performed in front of a packed house at the Elsinore Theatre in Salem, where Steve-O can be seen helping Margera with some jokes, as he told stories about his time in rehab and even comparing his life to Britney Spears', as the pop star has dealt with her fair share of headline-grabbing situations. According to the news outlet, the Wildboyz star told the crowd he wanted Margera on tour with him because he was scared his friend was headed down a path of early death and is trying to help him lead a healthy life and find a "happy ending."

The stuntman's goal is a laudable one. If readers will recall, Bam Margera admitted on Steve-O’s podcast, Wild Ride!, that he had been pronounced dead during his December hospitalization while he was fighting a nasty blood infection and suffered from four seizures. This brush with death must have been a terrifying experience that might have been a wake-up call for him and for his friends. Steve-O, whose birth name is Stephen Glover, is no stranger to addiction and recovery. The clown-turned-stuntman has been sober for nearly 15 years and understands the importance of being accountable to someone who can help you navigate recovery.

Bam Margera has had some serious health issues recently, but it’s clear his great sense of humor is still intact. It’s lovely to see that now that his lawsuit with the Jackass guys has been settled, he can begin to rebuild his relationship with Steve-O and, hopefully, the rest of the team so that potential future projects with the team can include him. While the well-reviewed Jackass Forever was a blast, Margera's notable absence (except for one brief appearance) dampened the fun-filled nostalgia ride. While we don’t know whether or not a Jackass 5 is in the cards, co-creator and star Johnny Knoxville hasn’t ruled a sequel out. Here’s hoping that if a fifth movie in the series materializes, Bam Margera is still clean and sober and in a good place so he is capable of participating in another crotch-punching and beehive-swatting outing. And we wish all the best for Margera and peace and good health while he embraces his recovery on tour with Steve-O.

It’s almost hard to believe, but the Jackass crew have been on our screens (both small and silver) for over two decades. That includes skateboarder/ TV personality Bam Margera, who also had his own spinoff Viva La Bam. Recently he’s had a number of health and legal issues make headlines, although he does seem to be on the mend as of lately. And Margera recently admitted he was “declared dead” among other health concerns following hospitalization.

Bam Magera has made countless headlines lately, starting with his former beef with his Jackass co-stars after being dropped from the recent movie Jackass Forever. Additionally, he’s had a few notable rehab stints as well as hospitalization in December that resulted in him being put on a ventilator. Margera recently reunited with Steve-O for his podcast Steve-O’s Wild Ride!, where he got honest about his near-death experience. As he put it,

Talk about terrifying. While generations of Jackass fans were concerned for Bam Margera during his recent hospitalization, his account shows just how intense the situation was. While folks are finally getting back to “normal” in relation to COVID, Bam Margera’s account shows how serious it can still be. Luckily Margera made it out of the situation alive.

Bam Margera’s got real about his harrowing experience while speaking to his longtime friend and Jackass collaborator Steve-O. On the episode of Wild Ride! they swapped stories about injuries and stints in rehab. And Margera also peeled back the curtain on some of his headline-making moments from the past few months. It really does sound like he nearly died during his last hospitalization, and was at risk in more than one way.

Later on his appearance on Steve-O’s podcast, Bam Margera revealed he had yet another seizure, which resulted in him being intubated. He recounted how it went down, and physical toll of the hospitalization, saying:

As previously mentioned, Bam Margera has had some legal issues over the last few years, including some struggles related to custody of his son. Throughout his appearance on Wild Ride!, he mentions a few times how much he misses him. Let’s just hope that his health and interpersonal struggles ultimately work out; clearly there’s plenty of fans and people in his corner.

Legendary Jackass team member Steve-O doesn’t frequently run into stunts that he’ll refuse to do. If anyone needed a reminder of that fact, the lineup of 2022’s new movie releases delivered pretty early with the February debut of Jackass Forever. So when it comes to those moments that Steve is compelled to say no, one would assume it has to be something pretty big.

And yet, in a recent interview reflecting on the 2002 release of Jackass: The Movie, Steve-O admitted to Yahoo! that the stunt he rejected from that film actually amounted to something small. To be more specific, it was the size of a small toy car, which originally was meant to be placed straight up the man’s hindquarters. Recalling that memorable stunt, Steve admitted that the final stunt actually benefited from his reticence: 

It was a moment that made history for fans and newcomers alike. As Jackass: The Movie unfolded at the movies, debuting the MTV team as big screen contenders, Steve-O’s pass was the late Ryan Dunn’s gain. The resulting scene really needs to be seen to be believed, so take a look at this clip that shows Dunn taking one for the team:

Years of shenanigans and brutal injuries suffered by the Jackass crew have changed everyone, even Steve-O. After several films and series where he’s pushed the envelope further and further, Steve has overcome fears in the name of some beyond R-rated stunts. When it came time to make Jackass Forever, that newfound fearlessness inspired the legacy cast member to pay tribute to his late friend and comrade:

Unfortunately for Steve-O, that eagerness sounds like it cancelled the stunt before it even began. Though there was still plenty of outrageous happenings with the entire Jackass Forever cast that made it to the screen or the stream, it’s kind of sad that this heartfelt tribute never happened. If Jackass 5 happens, maybe if Steve plays his cards right, he’ll be able to fulfill this tribute to an old friend. 

For now, if you want to revel in the glory days of the Jackass franchise, it’s pretty easy. The original Jackass series, as well as most of feature films, are all available to stream with a Paramount+ subscription. Meanwhile, if you want more action from Jackass Forever, you’ll need to head to Netflix, the official home of Jackass 4.5. 

If you ever need to feel better about yourself, just watch Jackass and be glad you’re not putting your body through the things that these guys do. From television to movies Jackass has been your home for people intentionally hurting themselves in ways you can’t imagine for a long time. And if you don’t want to wait for the next movie you can just watch them injure themselves on social media. 

Jackass mainstay Steve-O just dropped a video on Instagram that shows his fellow Jackass star Chris Pontius trying to break a bottle over his head. Watching a glass shatter on Steve-O’s skull would be bad enough, but trust me, it’s not nearly as bad as watching the glass not break over his head, check it out.

It’s pretty hilarious to see one guy have to apologize to another for accidentally failing to break a bottle over his head. We don’t see Pontius apologize after the bottle actually breaks, only when it doesn’t. To be fair, the sound that bottle makes, or more accurately, the sound Steve-O’s head makes when the bottle hits it, and it certainly doesn’t sound good.

The clip then follows with the bottle actually breaking, which is still not something I would ever ask another person to do to me, but it’s preferable to the bottle not breaking. At least then the energy of the swing goes somewhere than up against Steve-O’s brain. 

I suppose it shows a certain amount of dedication to one’s craft that Steve-O is willing to put his body on the line for a simple Instagram video. At least, when he’s doing it for one of the Jackass movies, somebody is paying him, probably not an insubstantial amount of money, to do his various crazy stunts. While getting smacked in the skull will certainly get noticed, I’m writing this, after all, it still doesn’t seem quite worth it.

To be fair, Steve-O is probably still in better shape than some alumni of the Jackass franchise. Bam Margera has been in and out of rehab multiple times over the last year. All this, while also dealing with a child custody battle, as well as a lawsuit against the producers of Jackass Forever after he was left out of the film on the 2022 movie schedule, though that latter item was eventually settled.  

Steve-O himself recently said he and Bam have a good relationship. So maybe there's some hope of resolving the tension that has clearly been going on there. Then these guys can get back to beating the hell out of each other together. At this point, it's unclear if we'll ever see more Jackass. However, the people involved clearly are not going to stop hurting themselves, so they might as well get paid to do it.

The Jackass gang has pretty much always seemingly been tight -- and they’d pretty much have to be to be, given what they do. They've inflicted such devastating pranks on each other (and themselves) dating back to the original show, which ran in the early 2000s. Of course, that team dynamic may have changed amid production on Jackass Forever. Ahead of the movie's premiere, Bam Margera filed a lawsuit against some of his collaborators, on the grounds that he was unreasonably dismissed from the movie. Now that the lawsuit drama has settled down, Steve-O is opening up about his relationship with Margera.

Bam Margera has been going through a lot these last few years, especially with his addiction struggles and rehab stints making headlines as of late. This is something that Stephen "Steve-O" Glover has experience with, though he has now been sober for well over a decade. That dedication to maintaining sobriety even prompted Glover to forgo any pain medication for the many serious injuries he's sustained in his stuntman career. Margera also went without pain meds when sustaining a skateboarding injury recently for the same reason.

The Jackass alums' long history and similar struggles would naturally create a tight bond been them. And that's is something that came up when Stephen Glover spoke with People while promoting his new book, A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I’ve Learned From a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions. During the conversation, Glover addressed the seemingly contentious lawsuit and stated that despite that, he and has old buddy are still on good terms:

Bam Margera and Steve-O have been working together and getting their asses kicked together for around two decades now, so they've definitely been through a lot. Even though things may have appeared a little rocky between them more recently, that's a bond that apparently can't be broken. For Steve-O, that apparently goes for all of the Jackass crew, too.

During the same interview, he went on to explain that the cast is relatively drama-free, despite the lawsuit and his short-lived feud Johnny Knoxville. Of course, the only exception there would be Bam Margera. Here's what the author and stuntman says about his friends, exactly:

So even though Bam Margera may be the "outlier" these days, that doesn’t seem to have affected the amount of love his longtime buddy has for him. Their relationship appears to be one that has lasted through thick and thin so far and could further survive any kind of trial or tribulation, including a lawsuit.

As for Steve-O, he seems to be reveling in his professional and personal lives. Aside from having dropped his recently new novel, he's also in the midst of his own personal stunt tour. The “Bucket List” tour sees him traveling the country and performing stunts that even Jackass wouldn’t allow him to do. (I don't know whether to be excited or nervous.) While it looks like he’s doing things solo for now, one can still hope that he and Bam Margera find a way to collaborate on some kind of project down the road.

Earlier this summer, Paramount struck box office gold with Jackass Forever, the long awaited legacy-quel in the series of reality comedy films. Unfortunately, the main downside to the fourth film in the MTV-spawned franchise is that it came at the cost of the participation and friendship of original cast member Bam Margera. After all of the drama and legal proceedings that saw the OG series star removed from the roster, Margera has shared his feelings about not being involved in the 2022 movie release. 

Showing that not all of his friendships with the crew have dissolved, Bam Margera was a recent guest on the podcast Wild Ride with Steve-O. While chatting about how close he got to actually returning for the film, and the rehab journey he’s been embarking on, Margera had some reflections about not remaining in the cast for the film. Those thoughts, as seen below, also apply to any potential future, should more big-screen installments get made:

Perhaps even more revealing than the former TV personality and skateboarder's acceptance of a Jackass-free life is just how close he came to coming back to the fold. While discussing a pointed acknowledgment that Margera made about how behaviors that are currently unacceptable were practically seen as “good press” in the earlier era of the franchise, Steve-O admitted that the process to reinstate Bam into Forever got pretty far. Unfortunately, the way that Steve-O tells it, it all came down to a Zoom call that Margera ended up missing, due to being intoxicated. 

When the movie started filming in late 2020, he was still involved and, at the time, Margera was taking part in his one and only Jackass Forever stunt in the finished product. If you watch carefully, you can still see Margera as part of the lineup in “The Marching Band,” the stunt often featured in the trailers -- and it was one where the gang wiped out pretty hard. 

As concerns over breaking sobriety clauses in his contract seemed to be correct, Bam Margera was kicked off of Jackass Forever. Anger, legal actions, and his own press tour would follow, laying down a tale that seemed to see Margera massively disappointed for being on the outs. 

Knowing the path that events took after Bam Margera was removed from Forever, which included Margera suing over compensation, hearing him arrive at that conclusion is freeing. 2022 has been a time of growth for him so far, with Margera celebrating a year-long sobriety milestone earlier this year. Here’s hoping that this better headspace continues to prevail, allowing him to further make progress in his personal journey. 

Fans who want to catch up on the latest antics have two big choices on the market. Naturally, Paramount+ subscribers can watch Jackass Forever, as well as almost the entire franchise’s contents. However, if you want to watch Jackass 4.5, you’ll have to have a Netflix account to get to that specific title.

Since the Margera has continued to have some public struggles, although Steve-O had a different perspective on his colleague being fired from the recent movie. As he put it while appearing on Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson,

Talk about a powerful point. Because while missing out on the money and screen time of Jackass Forever was no doubt painful for Bam Margera, his fellow castmate Steve-O seems to feel it was all done out of love. The Jackass cast is known for putting their bodies at risk for the wild stunts and pranks, so it might have truly been in Margera’s best interest to not be involved in anything other than sober. 

As Steve-O pointed out to Mike Tyson on his podcast, those same people have also put their foot down and advocated for his own sobriety. The Jackass crew organized an intervention that helped Steve-O get sober and (as he put it) ultimately save his life. As such, he thinks the Bam Margera situation actually has much more love involved than folks might realize.

While Bam Margera ultimately dropped his lawsuit over Jackass Forever, he’s continued to make headlines in the months since the movie was released. This includes legal issues with his wife, as well as for starting a fitness journey. Most recently he went missing after leaving a rehabilitation center, although he was eventually found and brought back to the court-ordered treatment. Hopefully, he’s able to get the help he needs, as Steve-O was able to do years back.

TV watchers have seen a number of beloved properties find new life due to reboots, revivals and spinoffs as of late. Earlier this year, fans were delighted by the release of Jackass Forever, the long awaited fourth main theatrical adaptation of the MTV classic. The film saw Johnny Knoxville and co. back to doing what they do best: entertaining fans with wild, funny and very painful stunts. Some might say that it’s a sweet mixture of extreme crotch pain and nostalgia. The film proved to be a success and, now, Knoxville and his pals are now headed back to the small screen for a new series. 

A brand-new Jackass show is officially headed to Paramount+, and the original creators are collaborating the streamer to produce it. The major news was revealed by Paramount Global CEO Bob Bakish during the company’s Q1 earnings call. According to the exec, the move was indeed spurred by the success of the latest movie. And with the noise that the flick made at the box office, it’s not hard to see why the entertainment entity would want to keep the momentum going. 

The series' latest feature, directed by Jeff Tremaine, scored an opening weekend haul of $23.5 million when it hit theaters back in February. By the end of its run, the film had earned $80.3 million worldwide against its $10 million budget. The production also received mostly positive reviews from critics and longtime fans. While the outrageous stunts were lauded, many seemed most impressed with the faithfulness to the series' hilarious and raunchy roots. 

The OG show premiered on MTV in 2000 and, despite receiving backlash for its dangerous stunts, it garnered a loyal following. After the series ended in 2001 after three seasons, it eventually grew into a true franchise, one that birthed an array of small and big-screen spinoffs. Considering where things began, it’s pretty poetic that the cast and crew would find their way back to television now.

There are a few things that need to be considered, though. First off, will the OG players take center stage here, or with this new production focus mostly on the new cast members introduced in Forever? Some of the veterans did the flick as their last hurrah, so it could be the end for them in front of the camera. Thankfully, newcomers like Jasper Dolphin, Rachel Wolfson and Sean "Poopies" McInerney (who experienced his “gnarliest” injury off camera) more than proved that they can handle the pain, so they could definitely lead it. Though fans would probably still hope to see veterans like Wee Man and Danger Ehren McGhehey, who proved to be a surprise scene-stealer in the latest theatrical installment.

And of course, there’s also the matter of the actual stunts that could potentially be performed. The fourth main movie went hard in the paint (or crotch, so to speak) when it came to upping the danger level. Seeing Steve-O turn his penis into a beehive and Preston Lacy getting his testicles beaten like a punching bag was pretty surreal. Let’s also not forget that wild bull stunt, which resulted in brain damage for Johnny Knoxville. (And he doesn’t regret performing the act.) Fans have praised the sequence, and the cast even believes it to be Oscar-worthy.

One can only imagine what Johnny Knoxville and the gang are cooking up for this new Jackass show. With any luck, it’ll continue to propel the franchise forward while staying true to what’s made it so beloved. I don’t know about you, but I’m ready to laugh, gasp and tear up while watching more insane antics.

The Jackass crew just graced us with another installment of their reckless stunt franchise earlier this year in the form of their new film release, Jackass Forever. A lot of fans may have thought it would be the last time the now-middle-aged stars would indulge in their wild antics. However, franchise star Steve-O is apparently not only continuing his shenanigans but aiming to ramp things up. He's opening up about the wild content he has planned, and apparently he would “never be allowed” to film it for his storied franchise.

Now, Steve-O has done some pretty insane stunts during his time with his longtime crew, including performing the all-time best Jackass stunt in Forever when he hung a hive of bees off his junk. I don’t know about you, but I literally can’t think of anything more intense than what he and the rest of the crew have put their bodies through, and I honestly don’t think I want to.

However, in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the 47-year-old star revealed that he has big plans to do pretty much whatever he wants in his upcoming comedy tour, and that includes going under the knife and getting “the biggest fucking breast implants” that he can. Yeah, you read that right. Check out the other details he provided on the stunt:

Why?! Thanks to their stunts, we’ve seen the guys of Jackass get brain and ruptured testicles. Johnny Knoxville even broke his penis once. It doesn’t seem to be enough for Steve-O, though. The star has even admitted he wished some stunts would have been taken further. I can honestly see why these stunts would've been too intense for the MTV-birthed franchise. 

I just want to say that thinking about watching the performer shoot himself in his face makes me extremely uncomfortable. A fish hook through the cheek is OK, I guess, but I am genuinely concerned about him utilizing a bullet in such a way.

Like many fans, Steve-O and the rest of the crew have been endeared to me, even if they have put themselves, literally, in the line of fire and hurt themselves to some serious extremes, with the star even having some severe burns on his body from a stunt. The guys have sacrificed a lot of themselves for both our and their own entertainment, but it’s kind of hard to imagine someone pretty much doubling down on the crazy stunts.

If the Jackass franchise has always seemed a little tame to you, it sounds like you're in for some comedy gold when Steve-O launches his upcoming comedy tour. His Gone Too Far tour kicks off in about a week, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he stays as safe as his stunts allow him to be.

The guys that make up the Jackass team have pretty much proven that they’re totally fine with risking life and limb during the wild stunts they perform time and time again. They’ve suffered some major injuries, Johnny Knoxville even breaking his penis and Steve-O suffering from some pretty hardcore burns. Apparently, though, there are some things the two stuntmen like to steer clear of, and Knoxville has revealed just what kind of stunts they refuse to perform. 

There is no amount of money you could pay me to get me to do some of the borderline insane things that the stars of Jackass do - that’s a fact. While they would probably do them for next to no money, or at least back in the day when they were just getting started, there seem to be some lines that even they just won’t cross. During an interview with NME, Johnny Knoxville revealed the one thing he dislikes above all else, and it may surprise you:

The man has literally suffered brain damage from a stunt , yet it's the cold that he doesn’t want to mess with. While being chilly isn’t an awesome feeling, it’s a little wild that weather is the veteran star's line in the sand.

While for Johnny Knoxville it may just be an aversion to cold, it’s a lot more than that for his co-star, Steve-O. According to Knoxville, Steve-O has an “irrational fear” of one particular stunt and, given the death-defying feats he's attempted in the past, I'm a little surprised here as well. Here it is in Knoxville’s own words:

Bungee jumping is pretty safe compared to a lot of the stunts Steve-O has been a part of in the past, but some fears are just all in the mind. Honestly, hearing that the cast has their boundaries is a bit comforting. I feel like if they had no line they weren’t willing to cross, they would be a pretty terrifying group of people. 

If you haven’t seen the group in their most recent film, Jackass Forever is still playing in a number of theaters. As for the past films, you can stream them all with a Paramount+ subscription, though you won’t find a bungee jumping Steve-O or many cold-related stunts from Knoxville.

One of the biggest stories to come out of the Royal Rumble this year had nothing to do with the Royal Rumble at all. At least, not really. In fact it had to do with WWE giant Brock Lesnar throwing Wee Man through a table while out to dinner before the big event. A video of this went viral, but Steve-O got the actual scoop from Wee Man about what that was like.  

As it turns out, many of the major members of the Jackass Forever cast (and not just Johnny Knoxville, who did appear in the Royal Rumble) traveled to St. Louis to be a part of the WWE event festivities. They actually took the same plane as Ronda Rousey, which we now know thanks to some footage from Steve-O (though I'm glad the video didn't come out before, as it would have ruined the Rousey speculation). As part of that very same footage on his YouTube page, Steve-O also recounted that viral video featuring Wee Man getting thrown through a table by Brock Lesnar, which has rolled around the Internet at this point:

Steve- O, of course, narrated what happened when they were all hanging out on the actual night, noting. 

Of course, being the good friend that he is, the very next day, Steve-O connected with Wee Man while the Jackass team was traveling and asked him, “How much did it hurt when Brock Lesnar slammed you like that?” One would think the natural answer would be a lot, but Wee Man was way more blasé about this than I would have expected. He replied: 

Well, there you have it. I know the Jackass cast is used to getting up to wild shenanigans, but honestly, that throw looked intense. Even whilst drunk, I’m a little surprised Wee Man didn’t seem to be feeling it the next day, but perhaps the whole thing looked worse than it was. I actually attended the Royal Rumble. A few of the Jackass guys came out with Johnny Knoxville while he was walking to the ring, but Steve-O was nowhere to be seen. So what happened?

Well, we've already heard plenty of rumors that the Men’s Rumble was supposed to play out pretty differently (two other former stars reportedly also wanted to make a return but were told no). In terms of what Steve-O was supposed to originally do, he doesn’t get into specifics, here, but he does say that the team had been tested daily for COVID-19 through all of the stuff they had been filming and appearances they had been making during the pandemic. It sounds as if Steve-O wasn't expecting what happened with the Rumble to happen, but what happened was a positive test. 

While we saw some of the other members of the Jackass cast outside the ring, overall what we got was Knoxville came out, got a pop, did his thing, hung around in the ring for a while, and then got eliminated by Sami Zayn. Steve-O apparently was on his tour bus at this point and getting the hell out of dodge, or in this case, St. Louis, Missouri. 

A lot of things were pretty wild at the Royal Rumble, from Kofi Kingston surprise elimination/ botched spot to the sign catching fire and the poor experience with the lights. I have no idea if much would have changed if Steve-O had shown up with the Jackass Forever cast, but it is interesting to learn more about what was going on behind the scenes. 

Over the years, the Jackass crew have pushed themselves to the limits with all kinds of extremely painful stunts, pranks, and other segments that leave many of us asking how (and why) are they still doing it after all this time. Few members of the gang have put their bodies, minds, and souls through more hell than Steve-O, who has done everything from stick a hook in his mouth and going swimming with sharks, to playing tetherball with a bee hive in the Jackass movies. And, that’s just the beginning of his painful stunts.

So, in honor of the release of the extremely painful and shockingly nostalgic Jackass Forever, I’ve put together a list of the best Steve-O stunts, ranked them, and provided some background information for each. 

10. The Fart Mask - Jackass: Number Two

Starting off is a rather short and simple, yet effective, stunt from Jackass: Number Two that involves Steve-O wearing a helmet in which Preston Lacy farts via a rubber tube. Almost immediately after the smell of fart wafts into the enclosed helmet, Steve-O (who is probably one of the best Jackass pukers not named Rick Kosick or Lance Bangs) fills it with vomit. This segment is also the perfect way to pay respect to the more low-key skits from the original MTV series.

9. Steve-O, Ryan Dunn, Jeff Tremaine, And Henry Rollins In Off-Road Tattoo - Jackass: The Movie

Getting tattooed can be rather painful, and I can only imagine how uncomfortable it can be to ride in a Hummer over rough terrain. Combine those and you have the notorious “Off-Road Tattoo” segment from Jackass: The Movie. In this stunt, Steve-O gets a tattoo from director Jeff Tremaine as Henry Rollins drives like an absolute maniac through the desert. While not as intense or terrifying as some of the other stunts Steve-O pulled off in the first Jackass theatrical release, the segment remains just as brutally injurious and iconic 20 years later, and also has one of the best celebrity cameos in the series.

8. Steve-O In Tropical Pole Vaulting - Jackass: The Movie

Definitely one of the better Steve-O stunts from Jackass: The Movie, but still not as insane as what he would do in the years to come, “Tropical Pole Vaulting” is a hilarious segment that starts out simple enough — Steve-O pole-vaulting into a palm tree, but quickly devolves into absolute madness. Jumping into a ditch on the side of a highway filled with stagnant water and a dead cat? Check. A game of volleyball? Check. A pier? Check.

7. Steve-O And Dave England In Bee Hive Tetherball - Jackass 3D

A lot of the focus of Jackass 3D was the use of the 3D technology and high-definition cameras that weren’t readily accessible when its predecessor was released, but there are still some old-school style stunts peppered throughout. One of the best is “Bee Hive Tetherball,” featuring Steve-O and Dave England in bear hats and underwear playing the playground game with a hive of bees. What makes this so great is how Steve-O remains calm throughout while England flips out and makes things worse for himself. But, this wouldn’t be the last time Steve-O kept cool in the presence of bees.

6. Steve-O In The Leech Healer - Jackass: Number Two

One of the most disgusting segments in any of the Jackass movies, The “Leech Healer” stunt shows Steve-O apply an actual leech to his eye while the crew is visiting India. Words cannot express how much I wince in pain whenever this part of Jackass: Number Two comes on, but I still can’t look away. Even though it was one of the standouts of the franchise’s second entry, there are some segments coming up that somehow trump this one both in scope and danger.

5. Steve-O And Chris Pontius In Alligator Tightrope - Jackass: The Movie

Early on in Jackass: The Movie, Steve-O gives the audience a glimpse of what the future would hold for him with his Wildboyz show alongside Chris Pontius, who would also appear on the MTV spinoff series. There’s a lot about this stunt that ranks it so high on this list. First, it’s a stunt that shows that the crew was upping the ante from the original series. Secondly, it’s dangerous as all hell, with Steve-O dangling over alligators with raw chicken in a jock strap. And finally, there’s a moment at the end where an alligator is so close to taking a chunk out of Steve-O’s foot when he finally gets out of the water.

4. Steve-O And Chris Pontius In The Fish Hook - Jackass: Number Two

Like “The Leech Healer” segment mentioned above, “The Fish Hook” is another standout moment from Jackass: Number Two that sees Steve-O inflict bodily harm with and near animals with a thirst for blood. This time around, however, there were much higher stakes (and a whole lot more pain) as Steve-O drives a hook through the side of his mouth and then goes swimming in the shark-infested waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Despite having safety measures (Chris Pontius could reel him in), Steve-O was very much in danger, especially when he was inches away from a shark bite at one point. And the look of pure pain on his face throughout the entire stunt really sells it for me.

3. Steve-O, Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius And Others In The Marching Band - Jackass: Forever

Like the films that came before it, Jackass Forever didn’t pull any punches with its various stunts, pranks, and other segments. One of the most intense (both in the movie and of all of Steve-O’s movie appearances) is “The Marching Band,” which saw the thrill seeker, Johnny Knoxville, Chris Pontius and other members of the crew dress up like a college band and walk onto a treadmill, instruments and all. This painful stunt, which resulted in hospitalizations, at first doesn’t seem all that dangerous, but its severity is awfully visible when a slow-motion replay is shown, and wowza!

2. Steve-O In Poo Cocktail Supreme - Jackass 3D

One of the most stomach-churning Jackass stunts, “Poo Cocktail Supreme” is undoubtedly the most disgusting segment featuring Steve-O, which is saying something. Near the end of Jackass 3D, Steve-O is strapped into a portable toilet that is then hooked up to a rig you would use for bungie jumping before being shot into sky. Steve-O is drenched with feces and other bodily waste as the structure flips up and down in the air. Adding “Supreme” at the end of the title of this disgusting and dangerous segment is perfect, because there is no way you can top this, at least with human excrement.

1. Steve-O Hanging A Colony Of Bees Off His Junk - Jackass Forever

And then there is the moment in Jackass Forever where Steve-O takes a stunt first carried out by Johnny Knoxville on the original series and makes it seem like child’s play. I’m talking about Steve-O putting an entire colony of bees on his junk and throwing the mass around. It starts with him putting the queen on this private parts which draws in all of the bees, creating a mass that keeps on growing and growing. Have you ever seen a colony of bees sticking together on a tree branch? Well, imagine that, but instead of a tree, it’s Steve-O. Equal parts gnarly and terrifying, this segment, which was featured in the Jackass Forever trailer received a mixture of laughs, gasps, and screams at my screening, and it’s one I won’t forget.

After revisiting all of these iconic Steve-O moments from the Jackass movies, I’m just amazed he and the rest of the crew are still putting themselves up to all of this after all this time. 

Returning to theaters with a triumphant first place opening, MTV and Paramount’s Jackass Forever sees everyone’s favorite gang of daredevils doing what they do best: rejecting most of the limits that life and sense set before them at any given moment. That doesn’t mean someone like Steve-O is immune to fear though, and thanks to a “beyond rated-R” stunt he cooked up for his stand up tour, skydiving is another limit he can cross off his personal bucket list. 

We learned this from the Jackass Emeritus first hand, as Steve-O visited CinemaBlend's ReelBlend podcast to deliver tons of stories connected to the band getting back together. But there was also a section of the discussion that pertained to stunts so out there, they could never be performed under the auspices of a studio sanctioned film. As he explained the ins and outs of this skydiving stunt, you can absolutely see why you’d have to attend The Bucket List Tour to see stuff like what you're about to read: 

It’s a notion that, upon first hearing Steve-O discuss the matter at hand, could lead a listener to break into a pure peel of laughter. I certainly did, and I had to rewind the show a little before moving forward to confirm that yes, Mr. Steve of O cranked one out before freefalling into the air. To be fair, if you were going to try and relax yourself before engaging one of your greatest fears, and continue the journey of proud sobriety that Steve-O has celebrated, you could do worse.

A stunt that could never be featured in Jackass Forever, or any incarnation of the MTV-originated franchise, is a legendarily tall order. Usually if a stunt doesn’t make the cut, it’s something that was cut for a good reason; and even then, those sorts of extras are ripe for being released in something like the upcoming Jackass 4.5. However, these “bucket list” stunts are a bit special, as they fall into the three categories that pretty much result in an automatic disqualification. Those rare firewalls are as follows: 

What else should you expect from Steve-O’s aptly-titled The Bucket List Tour? Well, he didn’t spill too many other details, because like any good Jackass experience, you need to go in as cold as possible. However, he did drop the basic concept for another shenanigan that he gets into, which was then recorded to be shown to a live audience. Apparently one other antic you should look out for is a very special bike ride through a field, while Steve-O is being administered a general anesthetic by a “disguised” medical professional.

It’s amazing how people can overcome their deepest fears, especially when it’s all being caught on camera. While nothing this outrageous shows up in Jackass Forever, you can still see boundary-pushing set-pieces that test the body and good taste. The film is currently in theaters, as one of the most recent entries from 2022’s movies schedule. As for The Bucket List Tour, you can check Steve-O’s official website for tour dates and tickets, with shows currently scheduled through April.

Ordinarily when PETA gets upset about something in a movie or TV show, there’s a specific scene or individual animal-related appearance that’s bothersome. That’s not the case with Jackass Forever. The outspoken animal rights organization recently wrote a letter to prosecutors in Los Angeles and San Obispo Counties complaining about at least seven entirely separate sequences in what may be the gang's goodbye film. 

Jackass Forever incorporates many animals into various stunts in the movie, often resulting in grievous injury for someone in the Jackass crew, which they talked to us about. Representatives from PETA, however, claim the animals biting, stinging and goring the movie’s actors are the real victims. They’re calling for a criminal investigation. Here’s a portion of the letter PETA sent, per Deadline…

Let’s break down a few of these specific sketches they’re upset about. If you haven’t seen Jackass Forever yet, please be advised we’re going to get into some spoilers below. So, if you haven’t gotten to the theater yet, my advice would be to bail on this article and return afterwards.

In one scene PETA takes serious issue with, bees are made to swarm around Jackass star Steve-O’s penis. The resulting chaos causes many to sting him. In another scene, new star Rachel Wolfson gets her own version of Botox by having a scorpion repeatedly bite her in the face and lip area. These were apparently deemed especially inappropriate by PETA, though they also brought up others including the turtle biting Chris Pontius, the bull goring Johnny Knoxville and the snake biting Poopies. 

I’m not going to speak to the morality of the above. There are no doubt some people sincerely upset about the usage of animals in stunts like these, and there are other people who are unbothered. If you’re someone who doesn’t like to see real animals used in movies, you’re going to hate this one. 

If you’re not bothered by such things and are into the previous installments of Jackass, you’ll love this one. Jackass Forever is a wild ride of genital abuse, head injuries and high concept sketches that ride the This Is Spinal Tap line between stupid and clever. It's also, as always, a story of friendship and love between the crew, most of which have returned. Response from fans has been really strong, and it has gotten very strong reviews from critics, as well. We gave it four stars, though something tells me those at PETA would probably have a different score. 

The world of entertainment has changed a lot since the early days of Jackass at the turn of the century. Even in the span of a little over a decade between the previous film and this weekend’s Jackass Forever, the viewing public has become more conscious about the media it consumes, as well as the celebrities it celebrates and condemns. Some might think the era of cancel culture is a climate that would see such a franchise soundly rejected, but original cast member Steve-O thinks that assumption couldn’t be further from the truth. 

Speaking with the hosts of CinemaBlend's ReelBlend podcast, the constant daredevil celebrated another round of dangerous entertainment heading into theaters this weekend. In-between teasing just how awesome Jackass Forever is, as well as other stunts he’s been tackling outside of the legendary MTV/Paramount series, there was a bit of reflection as to why this legacy means so much. Referring to that legacy and its return in the time of cancel culture, Steve-O told ReelBlend just why he feels Jackass is immune to such a movement: 

At face value, any franchise that boasts stunts with such ribald titles as “Sweaty Fat Fucks,” “Keep God Out Of California” and “Midget Bar Fight” feels like it’s bordering on edgelord territory that would kick off internet discourse on opening weekend. Past those labels, Steve-O’s point on the general nature of Jackass is spot on when chronicling the actual content in the various films and episodes that have been made. Johnny Knoxville and his usual band of merry mischief makers never look to politicize or denigrate any demographic.

If anyone’s balls are going to get busted, it’s someone that’s either on the crew or a friendly guest star, like Eric Andre. Though in the case of Jackass Forever’s “Danger” Ehren McGhehey, “a ball” does actually get busted thanks to a stunt rupturing one of his testicles. It’s a result of pushing the stunt spectacle envelope in a movie like Jackass Forever, rather than a personal vendetta. 

Even in terms of the very serious legal proceedings that estranged crew member Bam Margera has filed against the team, the reaction from Johnny Knoxville was one where he wished Bam the best. Declining to air out the dirty laundry in the press, Knoxville’s tactic was one that kept it all in the family. Though we may discover details from various filings and even from Mr. Margera himself, it's not something that is used as an easy topic of discussion by others inside the inner circle. Be it a matter of serious discord or not-so grave chicanery, ill intent is never the goal among the cast.  

The next generation of stars in this decades-old tradition will have to find new and exciting ways to cautiously endanger themselves, while also entertaining the masses. Then again, that was the game plan under the old guard of Steve-O and the original Jackass team, so it’s not like much has changed. While society will continue to evolve and reach for improving what we watch and how we interact with it, the spirit of messing around with friends on camera will continue to be as impish, but heartfelt as it always has been. 

Jackass Forever reintroduces the world to taking a nut shot for the team on the big screen, only at a theater near you. If that's not enough, don't forget about the Jackass 4.5 version we’re supposed to see in the future, which will contain even more fun that you couldn't cancel if you tried. Whenever we have a release date for that project, it'll be added to the ever growing list of upcoming movies you’ll be able to enjoy throughout 2022.

As individuals, we can be both our harshest critics and our greatest champions, depending on what the situation calls for. Jackass Forever’s Steve-O has experienced both sides of that coin in the run up to the franchise’s big legacy-quel. While the actor/daredevil was initially apprehensive about returning over a decade after Jackass 3-D, he truly feels that this new entry is ‘ridiculously good.’ But even with that enthusiastic promotion, there’s still another movie he claims to be the series’ true masterpiece.

Talking with the ReelBlend podcast for this week’s episode, the original Jackass cast member reflected on influential cinematic experiences on the whole. While going over the experiences that he found were essential to his own movie watching history, he actually took the opportunity to share what he felt was the true masterpiece of MTV and Paramount’s cinematic odes to misadventure. Above all other entries, Steve-O mentioned which Jackass baby was his favorite child: 

Jackass Number Two is a hard act to follow, and certainly a difficult choice to argue against when it comes to the best in the run. The 2006 follow-up to Jackass: The Movie raised the bar on the sorts of antics Johnny Knoxville and the crew were pulling, some of which felt like practice runs for the stuff that Jackass 4 is about to unleash on the world. Topping it all off with an unexpected musical number, it was a sequel that played to its strengths and found some exciting ways to innovate. 

While the first film may have been a bit of an unknown quantity, so much so that Paramount only ever "bought" Jackass: The Movie after it was completed, Jackass Number Two was what proved the series was a cinematic player. As he spoke about his own history going to the movies, it’s similarly unsurprising that Steve-O mentioned Raiders of the Lost Ark, Ghostbusters, and Rocky III among the movies that still hold places in his heart.

That being said, there’s a special something that he admits those blockbuster titans were lacking as communal experiences; and it’s something that the Jackass franchise has always delivered. Continuing to praise this latest entry, on top of the overall run of movies, Steve-O nailed down what helped the MTV series transition to the big screen. And as he describes below, there’s only one other genre of film that seems to inspire the same sort of reactions you’d see when watching something like Jackass Forever:

Thinking back to theatrical experiences in both the horror genre and this particular canon of risky stunts and painful practical jokes, that comparison tracks. As an example, watching the most brutal moments from Halloween Kills can be just as shocking as some of the worst injuries suffered by Steve-O during his career. Not to mention, there’s always those moments of comedic relief that endear you to the character’s you’re watching get somewhat massacred on screen.  

Years down the line, it would be interesting to see how both the cast members and fans of this new Jackass adventure, and the upgraded version it'll release to home video, compare the film to the classic entries. Though the pressure is high to produce a good sequel after so much time has passed, all signs seem to point towards the fourth outing being something truly special. Should that be true, the gasps and the laughs will be as sharp as ever. 

Stunts and shenanigans reign supreme with Jackass Forever, which makes its public debut this weekend. Die hard fans will want to get their tickets for Thursday’s early screenings, as those first shows are being promoted as a “fan event” with extra content. We’re still pretty early in the 2022 movie schedule, and if you take a look at the full picture, you’ll see that there’s even more where this came from headed to a theater near you. 

Jackass fans have waited a long time for Johnny Knoxville and the gang to reunite for pranks and stunt-filled shenanigans, and that day is almost upon us. Jackass Forever finally hits theaters on Friday (and Jackass 4.5 will follow soon after), but with just days to go until the big arrival, some of the stars of the new movie have found themselves in legal hot water. Steve-O, Chris Pontius and others have been hit with a lawsuit over a stunt that allegedly went wrong.

As reported by TMZ, Michael Vicens-Segura, the man who filed the lawsuit through attorney John Phillips, says that Steve-O and Chris Pontius approached him in 2018 about if they could use his jet skis for a project they were shooting in Puerto Rico. The prank specifically involved the men going out on the water with jet skis facing in opposite directions, and then being attached together with a bungee cord to see who would be yanked off first, tug of war-style. A similar stunt was carried out in Jackass: The Movie with BMX vehicles.

In the lawsuit, Michael Vicens-Segura says he was asked to hold one of the jet skis steady in the water because there were issues with waves that day. He complied, and from there, Vicens-Segura claims that when Steve-O and Chris Pontius hit the gas, Steve-O’s bungee cord snapped off the harness attached to his back and struck Vicens-Segura in the side of the head, leaving a huge gash. According to Vicens-Segura, he needed to be taken to the hospital for emergency surgery and was even placed into a medically-induced coma because he had “a fractured skull and brain bleeding, among other things.”

In addition to now boasting scars from the incident, Michael Vicens-Segura claims that these injuries have resulted in him losing the ability to work and “think straight,” as well as still deals with “pain, suffering and agony.” So now he’s suing Steve-O, Chris Pontius and the others involved over the incident and is asking the court for more than $12 million in damages. As of this writing, no one from Steve-O or Pontius’ respective camps have issued an official response to this lawsuit.

Naturally, we’ll keep on the lookout about any major developments in this lawsuit, including whether it ends up going to trial, is settled out of court or is just straight up dropped. Needless to say though that this isn’t the kind of attention that Steve-O and Chris Pontius would probably be hoping for right when Jackass Forever is about to open. It’s unlikely that the lawsuit’s filing will diminish turnout for the movie, but it nonetheless throws a bit of a wrench into the works.

In addition to Steve-O (who wishes one of the movie’s pranks had ended up worse for him), Chris Pontius and Johnny Knoxville, Jackass Forever’s returning faces also include Wee Man, Dave England, Danger Ehren and Preston Lacy, among others. Bam Margera was removed early into the film’s shoot, but evidently, we’ll still see a little bit of him in the completed product. Forever will also include guest appearances from celebrities like Eric André (who was “so nervous” on the movie’s set), Tony Hawk, Machine Gun Kelly and Tyler, the Creator.

The Jackass movies are unique cinematic endeavors. Structurally speaking, their closest cousins are anthology films, but there isn’t any attempt at “narrative” to be found. They have the vérité of documentaries, but nothing that can be specifically defined as a “subject.” They are blunt force comedy molded with the freedom that comes with disregarding any bounds of “story.” Each entry in the series is an assemblage of relatively diffuse creative ideas executed in the name of entertainment at the purposeful physical and mental expense of the performers.

These unique qualities generally mean two things: The first is that you’re either on board with it or you’re not; the second is that the only real way to judge a Jackass movie is in comparison to the other Jackass movies.

Considering these points in regards to director Jeff Tremaine’s Jackass Forever, the first should really be obvious: if you’ve hated all of the previous Jackass movies, this latest sequel is not going to be the entry in the series that changes your mind. It is, in a sense, “more of the same,” and if that’s not you’re your cup of tea, there’s nothing wrong with that, but you need not buy a ticket.

As far as comparing it to Jackass: The Movie, Jackass Part Two, and Jackass 3D, the new film is arguably the most impressive yet. In addition to pulling off the challenge of introducing a small group of new performers who exhibit the same fantastic spirit and passion as the veterans, the sequel sees stars like Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man, Preston Lacy, “Danger” Ehren McGhehey, and Dave England still running at top speed. These demented troupers have been doing their thing for over 20 years now, and their spectacular commitment is not only perpetually hilarious, but honestly awe-inspiring.

Filmed during the pandemic, Jackass Forever doesn’t have some of the same scope of its predecessors (there are no trips to India or other such globetrotting adventures in this one) and there isn’t nearly as much stranger pranking as we normally see; but that ultimately serves to let the group be more internally focused than normal and double down on their bread and butter: penis humor and pain. Within the first three bits there is a kaiju parody that has Chris Pontius’ painted gentiles serving as a monster, and a trivia contest that has contenders correctly answer fourth grade-level questions lest they be hit in the crotch by a trigger-rigged mechanical arm.

Sometimes the setups are endurance trials – like “The Quiet Game,” which sees performers try to stay silent while licking a stun gun, kissing a venomous snake, and having a skateboard dropped on their ankles. Sometimes the ideas are pranks – like “Silence Of The Lambs,” which finds victims trapped in a completely dark room full of traps and surrounded by eager tormenters wearing night vision goggles. And sometimes it’s just about putting on a weird, disgusting, or amazing show – like “The Flight Of Icarus,” which has Johnny Knoxville launched from a canon and soaring above a lake with homemade, feathered wings. Jackass Forever is a constant cycle of this insanity, and there isn’t a dull minute in it.

Jackass Forever doesn’t pull punches with its veteran cast, and it’s legitimately impressive.

When Jackass first began its run as a television series in 2000, the members of its principal cast were all in their mid to late twenties. One would at least somewhat understand it if the returning performers didn’t go quite as hard in Jackass Forever now that they are all pushing 50 – leaving the most gnarly material to the up-and-comers… but these are people with their own special brand of artistic integrity.

You get the sense that this movie wouldn’t exist if everybody wasn’t committed to leaving everything on the big screen, and that’s a significant part of its magic. Johnny Knoxville probably doesn’t have the bone density that he once did, but that’s not stopping him from trying to pull off a gag in front of a charging bull, and Steve-O can still walk away from an exploding porta-potty laughing instead of screaming.

If one were to label a champion of Jackass Forever’s cast, however, it is “Danger” Ehren McGhehey, who puts on one hell of a show both as a volunteer and as a helpless victim. A remake of “The Cup Test” from the original series sees him experience punishment to his groin beyond anything I’ve ever seen on the big screen, and what unfolds during what is dubbed “The Lie Detector” is hysterics-inducing and best experienced as a surprise on the big screen (hopefully you haven’t been watching the trailers too closely). When he’s at the center of a bit, something incredible and terrible is happening.

The new stars of Jackass Forever prove they have what it takes to carry the torch.

Given how great it is to see original Jackass cast members back together in Jackass Forever, the film does take on a certain risk introducing fresh faces – gambling that audiences will like them just as much as the familiar ones. It is, however, a gamble that pays off. I can’t say I know anything about the vetting that went into finding the new performers, but it was clearly a successful process. Sean "Poopies" McInerney, Davon Lamar Wilson a.k.a. Jasper, Zach "Zackass" Holmes, Rachel Wolfson, and Eric Manaka all demonstrate the extreme fortitude and effervescence necessary to stand tall among stupendous and stupid legends, and make us laugh until it hurts as they get lip injections from a scorpion sting or try to fly over a cactus pit with a kite strapped to their back.

Jackass Forever is a surprising nostalgia hit that often works well as a requel.

Introducing a new generation of stars while also hitting audiences with nostalgia bombs like the redo of “The Cup Test,” Jackass Forever is a film that actually slots in nicely with the on-going “requel” trend in Hollywood, and it generates a particular charm that wasn’t accessible to the previous movies – especially for those who have their own fond memories with the franchise. Personally, the new sequel took me back to being 13 years old and falling off the couch laughing while watching Steve-O try to puke up a living goldfish. I imagine many fellow millennials will experience similar memory blasts while watching the eternal youths of Jackass return to their classic antics.

The dawn of another Jackass movie is something most people probably hadn't even dreamed about. Yet here we are, a little over a decade since the release of the last film, preparing to have our minds blown by the forthcoming release of Jackass Forever. It’s something that’s surprised even the most cynical of admirers, but in the case of legacy cast member Steve-O, a fourth installment left him very apprehensive. So much so that when he talked about it in a recent interview, he couldn’t help but fill his thoughts with only the most choice profanities. 

During his guest spot on CinemaBlend’s ReelBlend podcast, one of the stars of Jackass 4 laid a lot of thoughts bare. One such notion was the thought process he went through with deciding to rejoin Johnny Knoxville and the rest of the crew to once again put their lives on the line in the name of comedy. Physically, Steve-O knew he was ready to go, especially since he’s continued to do crazy stunts for his own comedy career. Surprisingly enough, he admitted to ReelBlend that his concerns stemmed from another matter: 

Leave it to a dedicated OG from the Jackass crew to bring such a matter to light. Throughout the run of the MTV show, as well as the Paramount film franchise that arose in the wake of its popularity, the physical toll has never been a question when mounting up for another ride. Rather, as shown above, the real heart of the matter was how the world would react to folks like cast member “Danger” Ehren McGhehey engaging in stunts that could rupture a testicle. 

In the wrong eyes, the entire brand could be tarnished by a stunt gone terribly wrong. Legacy-quels are hard enough to land when the franchise you're returning to is fictional. Coming back to Jackass after a decade between movies somewhat amps up the pressure not to leave anything to chance. Were that huge set piece with Johnny Knoxville and the bull shown off in the latest trailer to have ended differently, there may not have even been a movie to look forward to.

Further fleshing out his reservations connected to the production of Jackass Forever, Steve-O laid down two questions that he had in mind. The first was mentioned above, which was whether or not these sorts of shenanigans would still be funny with the original crew hanging out with all the young blood added to the cast. Connected to that query was another that’s closely related, which was whether or not the world would see the older cast members as “creepy” in doing these sorts of things. Seeing as Steve-O admitted he wanted one of the stunts to go a little harder than it did, it looks like the creep factor wasn’t an issue at all. 

As far as the man himself is concerned, Steve-O seems pretty confident in the movie that’s heading to theaters this weekend. So much so that in another portion of the interview, he sang the praises of Jackass Forever pretty loudly. It’s probably a good thing that Jackass 4.5 is already in the works, as whatever didn’t make it to theaters will probably be just as good, if not better, than the antics that did. 

Should the overall reaction to this new bounty of nut shots and exploding portable toilets land as all involved would hope, everyone may have to ask themselves all of the same questions exhibited above. That won't be too far behind, as Jackass Forever is aiming straight for the crash pad that is the audience’s heart once it opens on the big screen this weekend. That’s just the beginning of the upcoming movies headed to theaters throughout the year, so be on the lookout for what could be your next stunt filled night out. 

Watching the Jackass movies and television shows, you can glean a certain understanding of how the performers view their work. They aren’t excited to get hurt or humiliated, and they express regret when something ends up crossing a threshold, but simultaneously they are always hoping for the best footage possible, and that often means getting real hurt or really humiliated. It’s a paradoxical position for them to be in, but it’s pretty well summed up in Steve-O’s opinion of an exploding porta-potty prank in Jackass Forever.

In the movie, Steve-O unknowingly walks into a portable toilet that is rigged to explode, and a few seconds after he enters the whole thing goes boom – leaving the Jackass star stunned and prone and the ground. It’s hilarious and insane, but Steve-O was actually disappointed that the person at the trigger didn’t give him enough time to actually pull his pants down and start going to the bathroom.

I interviewed Steve-O, Wee Man, and Chris Pontius this week during the virtual press day for Jackass Forever, and it was during a discussion about pranks and on-set paranoia that Steve-O expressed the blunt and surprising opinion of the trick that had him as the victim:

Steve-O: When I went into the porta-potty and it exploded, I'm mad that they did it so quickly.

Wee Man: Oh yeah, they did do it pretty quickly.

Steve-O: Yeah. Like I went in... when I went into the porta-potty, which blew up in flames, I was actually going for a number two. Yeah. And they were so excited to blow it up, they didn't even wait until I had my pants down. I mean, it would've been so great if they... they should have just waited until I had my pants down, and I was actually really doing my thing.

You can actually see the exploding porta-potty prank prominently featured in the most recent trailer for Jackass Forever, and the video is included in the edit of my interview clip up at the top. As you can see, Steve-O didn’t even have time to even pull down his pants before him found himself on the ground surrounded by porta-potty parts.

So who was responsible? The trio pondered the question, with Chris Pontius first pointing a finger at production designer J.P. Blackmon, but Wee Man used a colorful euphemism to explain what happened:

Chris Pontius: I bet that was J.P. at the trigger.

Wee Man: No, it was the explosive guys. And I think they've just premature ejaculated/pushed the button. You know what I mean?

Steve-O: It's a great shot, but it just, you know…

It may not be the best prank it could be, but it’s still pretty damn funny, and his willingness to always go the extra mile certainly explains why he has been seriously injured and hospitalized over the years making Jackass.

The ‘90s and early 2000’s are hot right now, and to my and every millennial’s distaste, even considered vintage. So it’s no surprise that Jackass, which started as a series on MTV back in 2000, is coming back in full force. Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O are both returning to their reckless stuntman ways, despite a little feud, for Jackass Forever, and they have the injuries and hospitalizations to prove it. In light of the movie almost being here, Steve-O remembers the worst injuries he has received from the franchise. 

Steve-O has certainly received his fair share of injuries, so much so that apparently it used to be hard to determine which was the worst. That is, until he received some awful burns. In an interview with TMJ4, the wild and fearless stuntman deems having third degree burns on a large portion of his body to be the worst he’s ever gotten injured for Jackass. Here it is in his own words:

While it’s no broken penis, fire is no joke and can really mess a person up. Having burns on as much as 15% of your body is pretty substantial, and burns are a long game healing process so you know he was in a lot of pain for a good amount of time with that injury. 

Apparently the burns beat out a number of bone breaking injuries for the star, because he was asked about how many bones he has broken working on the Jackass franchise, and, well, it’s a lot. Steve-O explains that he has kind of lost count of how many bones he has broken exactly, but he estimates over 20, saying:

Straight up, I’d lay down my career as a stunt person once even one of my teeth took a hit, but not Steve-O. Even though he has banged up pretty much his entire body, been literally on fire, and broken many bones, he’s still down for more. In the same interview, he reveals that he still has ideas for some pretty painful segments. Here’s one idea he’s toying with:

I’m not going to lie, that would make for some good TV and sounds exactly like something I’d watch him do on MTV back in 2000. However, you couldn’t pay me a high enough number for someone to tattoo a penis on my face, even if it is Post Malone.  It blows my mind that anyone could be actively interested in that, but that’s Steve-O for you.

Jackass Forever is set to head to theaters in just a couple short weeks on February 4th. Although Bam Margera won’t be an active participant in the film this time, it sounds like Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville will be on the receiving end of enough pain to keep an audience entertained. 

Jackass 4 marks the first time in a decade the entire crew has shared the screen. Of course, the film hasn’t been without its tribulations amongst the group. Even before the cameras rolled, there was some strife going on amongst the cast as money became an issue. It led to a feud between Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville. After coming back together for the final installment, the podcaster clarified what led to their feud.

The entire beef between the Jackass vets as Steve-O was trying to increase his salary for the last installment. According to the stunt performer, he learned of the movie through the news like everyone else. Upon learning about the fourth film, the Jackass vet immediately began thinking about his contract.

After years of growing his brand and career, the Jackass Forever star felt it was time for him to get his due. He wanted more of a share in the franchise he helped build. So, Steve-O partnered with his entertainment lawyer to negotiate for more money. In the same interview with Variety, the podcaster admitted to airing out his grievance about the film and his co-star during the salary talks. He mentioned his reckless comments leading to a rift between him and Johnny Knoxville.

After attacking his Jackass co-star, the whole ordeal didn’t sit well with Steve-O. He admitted to being out of line with his comments regarding the contract negotiations. The Jackass vet reflected on what he learned from his dispute with Knoxville.

In the end, he took accountability for his actions. The Jackass Forever star revealed the call between the two longtime friends a “healing conversation.” After the rift was healed, Steve-O felt the contract negotiations were unavoidable as he wanted his contribution to be acknowledged. He claimed the leveled playing field helped to enhance the crew’s signature chemistry.

Thankfully, Steve-O and Johnny Knoxville were able to work out their issues, even though the same can’t be said about fellow Jackass vet Bam Margera. Steve-O, Knoxville, and the other castmates will entertain the masses with their outrageous stunts when Jackass Forever arrives in theaters on Feb. 4.

There was a time not all that long ago when we thought that movie productions were going to move along at more or less a normal pace. And that when movies were done, they may actually get released as planned. We've seen a few "tentpole" movies get a chance to debut, and some of them even in theaters. However, studios are clearly far from confident about releasing movies in the near future, as we've seen movies planned for this far get delayed yet again. The latest movie to get pushed is Jackass Forever, and Steve-O responded to rumors that the delay occurred due to the lawsuit posed by Bam Margera.

While Paramount Pictures has blamed rising covid cases for the recent decision to move Jackass Forever from a release next month to a release next February, some have wondered if there wasn't more going on here. Former cast member Bam Margera has filed a lawsuit against several people involved in the production of Jackass Forever, and fans are wondering if it is actually the lawsuit causing the delay.

That's absolutely not the case according to Jackass cast member Steve-O, who recently spoke to TMZ and assured them that it was strictly Covid, and not the lawsuit, causing delays. Steve-O is giving the lawsuit exactly zero credit for anything, as he calls the whole thing absurd. According to Steve-O...

Bam Margera filed a lawsuit in early August claiming discrimination and inhumane treatment at the hands of several people involved in the production of the Jackass films. Johnny Knoxville and Spike Jonze are among those named in the suit. Margera was apparently fired from Jackass 4 early on due to not abiding by the rues of wellness agreement he had signed. Margera claims he was forced into signing the agreement, and that the drug test that got him fired, where he tested positive for Adderall, was something he had been prescribed for years.

Technically, Bam Margera's lawsuit does ask for the release of Jackass Forever to be blocked, but if any ruling had been made in that regard it's unclear why it wouldn't be public. It's also unclear why Paramount would make that call because of the lawsuit without being forced by a court.

Jackass Forever isn't the only movie planned for the coming months to be delayed. Paramount also pushed back the next Mission: Impossible movie and the Top Gun sequel, so it seems likely that the covid explanation in accurate.

The stars of the Jackass TV series and movies have made a career out of doing the wildest things they can imagine on film. Sometimes they put their bodies on the line, sometimes they just try to gross us all out. And sometimes they try to both at the same time. At this point, one would think they've done all there is to do and broken every bone in their bodies at least once, but apparently when Jackass Forever opens in October, there's one stunt you won't see because the film's director rejected it. But Steve-O has done it anyway, and likely regrets it.

It seems that Steve-O himself had an idea for the new Jackass movie. He wanted somebody to get shot in the face with a t-shirt cannon full of dog poop. He went so far as to purchase a t-shirt canon himself to be able to accomplish the stunt. But in a new video blog, Steve-O explains the director didn't like the idea and so it ended up not being recorded. The "good news" however, was that when recent circumstances aligned, he decided to do the stunt himself for some friends.

Never let it be said that Steve-O isn't willing to do crazy things. He says he wanted someone to get shot in the face with this thing, and when the time came, he was perfectly willing to let "someone" be himself. Check out the stunt, and the extensive aftermath, in the video below.

Steve-O is probably no stranger to emergency room visits. He's been there before and one would hope he's got some pretty solid insurance. However, he says here that this was perhaps his most embarrassing trip to the emergency room. Certainly, having to tell a doctor that your ear is injured and previously full of dog crap has to be an interesting conversation to have. On the whole, it seems that Steve-O was fine, just a little sore from the impact of the t-shirt canon. Which I have to say certainly worked exactly how it was likely intended. Honestly, Steve-O's ears have been through it all before.

So I guess we can call this a bonus stunt since we won't see it in the new Jackass movie. Is it clever? Probably not. The Jackass Forever director was probably right in that assessment, but it can't be said that it didn't leave an impact.

Jackass 4, recently retitled Jackass Forever, is going to feature some fan-favorite characters in the franchise. It will also introduce some new personalities, including Sean McInerney and more. The newfound movie star also recently participated in Shark Week, swimming with both bull sharks and reef sharks. While the experience with the bull sharks went fine, the reef shark experience led to a gruesome injury to one of his hands, an injury so bad that Steve-O had to walk away and couldn't watch.

After news broke that Sean ‘Poopies’ McInerney had injured himself while filming a Shark Week segment, the stunt personality sat down with Tony Hawk and Jason Ellis on the Hawk Vs. Wolf podcast to talk about McInerney’s “debut,” which just so happens to be a part of this year’s Shark Week on Discovery. The group ultimately decided to set up a set up experiments involving Poopies and Steve-O. The first setup went OK.

McInerney recalled how he was “so scared, but he “jumped in” anyway and the Jackass 4 team encouraged him to let go of the boat and face the sharks head on. After being directed to keep looking at the bull sharks “in the eyes,” Poopies recalls the experience gave him confidence with the sharks and was ultimately pretty “dope”… that is, until things took a turn in the next stunt. You can see part of the clip from the stunt that went bad, below.

After traveling to the Bahamas for the next part of Shark Week, Sean McInerney talked what happened when he tried to do a stunt involving a Fonzie jacket, a jet ski and a wakeboard. The team was trying to attract sharks with chum for Poopies to accomplish the stunt with sharks all around, but he mentioned he didn’t get a test run.

Sean McInerney also noted that a shark pulled him under by the hand, saying at the time he was worried about his leg. He “felt it bite” him soon after and became really worried about the reef shark taking his entire hand off.

Reports have indicated that while Sean McInerney had the presence of mind to stay still, the bite was still pretty gnarly and led to both artery and tendon damage. In the podcast, McInerney talked about it spurting blood and how he had to get a tourniquet put on following the injury, but he says he couldn’t “freak out” because he didn’t “want everyone else to freak out.”

In fact, things were so bad, Tony Hawks says “Steve-O told me he couldn’t look at you.” Things were so bad ultimately McInerney says he left the Bahamas and went to Florida to get his hand fixed up. But what an introductory story to becoming a Jackass personality ahead of your new movie release.

Meanwhile, the Jackass guys have been known for stunt accidents for a long time. In fact, mainstay Johnny Knoxville recently said that the idea of Jackass 4 for a long time felt like a bad one, given that they are getting older and that "stupid fucking accident[s]" feel like they could happen any time. While Sean McInerney sounds like he was a trooper in the Shark Week situation, this also seems exactly like what Knoxville was harping on. Luckily, it seems like Jackass Forever filming itself went OK -- you know, except for at least that one hospital incident -- and you'll be able to see the final results when the flick hits the 2021 movie release schedule this October.

Most of the Jackass cast of goofsters and stunt performers – who we love to watch punch, dropkick and just generally put their bodies through absolute hell – are returning for Jackass 4. It's been ten years since their last film, and we’ll have to wait a few more months before the next installment. In the interim, though, Johnny Knoxville is hyping up the fans for something even more gruesome: Knoxville, Steve-O and all the rest's upcoming appearance together on Shark Week.

Jackass ringleader Johnny Knoxville teased their stint (or should we say stunt) on Discovery’s Shark Week on Instagram. The gang is going diving and there's a signature Jackass intro to match. The pic shows Steve-O, Chris Pontius and others seemingly walking in slo-mo up a dock surrounded by smoke. Steve-O still has his speedo but, shockingly, Pontius needs to wear briefs under his now. See their strut walk into the den of sharks below:

To add to the hype, Discovery released a clip of the Jackass 4 crew on Shark Week. Steve-O is heard saying, “There's nothing left to do but jump the shark.” Meanwhile, Johnny Knoxville asks, “What can go wrong?” (I can think of one or two things.) Check out the big splash here:

Judging by the clip, it looks like someone is about to get the scare of their life on Shark Week. This follows the long history of celebrity Shark Week mashups, such as Mike Tyson’s fight with a shark or Shaq’s turn on the longtime show. But the Jackass 4 cast are probably pretty much used to impending danger at this point. Johnny Knoxville’s been chased down by bulls and Steve-O once put raw meat in his thong as he tightrope-monkey-climbed over a pit of alligators. Sharks should be an easy cake walk or, in this case, a water ski jump.

From what we know about the upcoming film Jackass 4, Johnny Knoxville and the rest of his gang are still willing to do other even crazier stunts. Apparently, Steve-O gets purposely paralyzed from the waist down and Knoxville does a magic show for a bull. We’ll leave the logistics of that scenario to the professionals – as always.

However, it's a bit surprising that Johnny Knoxville and the rest of his stunt squad did Shark Week on top of Jackass 4. So far as we know, the fourth film is supposed to be Knoxville’s last hurrah “before something irreversible happens.” According to Steve-O, he was also wary of doing another sequel because “one stupid fucking accident” could turn their legacy “into a negative.”

In my mind, the reason for doubling up on the risk-taking stunts this year is probably that Jackass 4 might truly be the end of the franchise. My wish would be that possibly Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and all of the alums pass the torch to whoever the newbies are that show up to be cannon-blasted over lakes or jump over sharks.

The gang's Shark Week adventure premieres on Discovery on July 11 at 10 p.m. Jackass 4 is slated for release on October 22. We've done our waiting, though, and fans may not be able to stand much more hype (or controversy) for the much-anticipated film.

It has been 10 years since we last watched Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, and the rest of the Jackass crew risk limb, life, and dignity for the sake of entertainment, and while it looked like we’d never see the fourth installment in the pain-inducing and stomach-churning franchise, that will soon change. In October 2021, moviegoers and longtime fans of the MTV stunt/prank show will get to see Jackass 4 when it comes crashing into theaters, making us laugh, wince, and yell at the screen in disbelief.

As we look toward the upcoming release of the highly anticipated fourth (and possible final) chapter of Jackass’ film franchise, let’s take a step back and look at everything we know about Jackass 4, including its release date, cast, and a few of the Jackass movie stunts that we’ll surely be talking about for months and years to come. Jackass 4’s Release Date Is Set For October 22, 2021

Starting October 22, 2021, longtime fans of the franchise and newcomers alike will be able to see what Johnny Knoxville and company have cooked up for us when Jackass 4 is released in theaters. When the next set of stunts, pranks, and near-death experiences opens theatrically, it will be a little more than 10 years following the release of Jackass 3D, the longest break between installments in the series so far. The movie was originally slated to open on March 5, 2021, but its release was pushed back several times before eventually settling on the October 2021 date.

The Jackass 4 Cast Is Led By Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius And More

Most of the original Jackass crew are back for more side-splitting and bone-breaking action in Jackass 4. Returning for another round will be Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuña, Preston Lacy, Ehren McGhehey, and Dave England. While the vast majority of the crew will back again, there are several notable missing stars: Bam Margera (more on him later), Ryan Dunn (who passed away in 2011), and Rip Taylor (who passed away in 2019).

Jackass 4 Will Be Johnny Knoxville’s Last

As the Jackass crew gets older and more wary about the decades of abuse they have inflicted on their bodies, minds, and souls, it only seems natural that they would eventually hang up their boots. Most of the cast hasn’t said whether or not they’ll continue to put their lives on the line for the sake of entertainment, but star Johnny Knoxville has revealed that Jackass 4 will, in fact, be his last rodeo. In a great GQ profile on Knoxville published in May 2021, the franchise’s co-creator said:

No one can blame Johnny Knoxville for wanting to take things easy after experiencing multiple concussions, broken bones, and even a torn urethra while filming a 2007 tribute to Evel Knievel.

Franchise Star Bam Margera Will Not Be Returning For Jackass 4

One of the biggest shockers surrounding the production of Jackass 4 was the departure of franchise star Bam Margera, who had been with the series since the beginning after making a name for himself with the CKY skateboard/stunt videos in the late 1990s. What originally started out as an alleged disagreement between Margera and Jackass producers over the star’s sobriety quickly turned into something much more intense and hard to watch.

It looked like there was a chance he could return for the fourth installment, but that hope was dashed in May 2021 when director Jeff Tremaine filed a restraining order against Bam Margera after the former star made several online threats. As of June 2021, it doesn’t look like it’s getting any better.

Jackass 4 Includes The ‘Most Intense Bull Hit’ Johnny Knoxville Has Ever Taken

Johnny Knoxville has a long, painful history with bulls, having been gored, trampled, and thrown up into the air by multiple animals over the years, so it’s only fitting that Jackass 4 (his final Jackass movie) will feature what he called the “most intense bull hit” he’s ever taken, while speaking with GQ in May 2021. When talking about the upcoming movie, Knoxville explained that the scene involved him putting on a magic show for a bull who then threw him into the air, spinning multiple times in the air.

Later in the profile, co-star Steve-O described the stunt and Johnny Knoxville’s fall to the ground as something he’ll never unsee. Knoxville was later taken to the hospital where he was treated for a broken rib, a broken wrist, a concussion, and a hemorrhage on his brain.

It Sounds Like There’s A Stunt Involving Steve-O And Paralysis

When talking about members of the Jackass crew with a history of taking stunts to the next level, it’s hard to not mention Steve-O, who has done just about anything and everything you can to your body for the sake of entertainment. And it appears that will once again be the case in Jackass 4, which, as Steve-O revealed on his YouTube channel, will include a stunt where he is partially paralyzed:

Eric Andre Will Appear In Jackass 4 In Some Capacity

Celebrity guests being featured on Jackass is nothing new, with everyone from Brad Pitt to Britney Spears appearing in the franchise over the years. Well, one of the guests for Jackass 4 will be none other than Eric Andre, who appeared in the 2021 hidden camera comedy Bad Trip. This makes a lot of sense, considering Jackass 4 director Jeff Tremaine was one of the producers of Bad Trip, and was seemingly confirmed when Andre and Tremaine sat down for an interview with The Film Stage in March 2021.

After talking about Bad Trip and the process of making the prank movie, Eric Andre was asked if he’ll be in Jackass 4, to which he replied by saying he didn’t know if he was allowed to say before looking at Jeff Tremaine, laughing. Tremaine jumped in and said that maybe Andre is in the movie and if he’s not, he’ll be in Jackass 4.5.

There is still a good amount of time before Jackass 4 opens in theaters, but there are plenty of (less painful) 2021 movies that are scheduled to be released between now and the possible final chapter of the cult stunt franchise on October 22.
