Things have been pretty tumultuous for Taylor Frankie Paul lately, with ABC pulling her season of The Bachelorette from the 2026 TV schedule after a viral video showed some of the events that led to her 2023 arrest. Paul’s other reality show, The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, was also affected when production of Season 5 was halted due to new claims of domestic violence between her and baby daddy Dakota Mortensen. Now, rumors suggest a third series under the Disney umbrella is being roped in.

Even as Taylor Frankie Paul learned she won’t be charged with domestic violence, Dancing with the Stars may still be scrambling, if a rumor submitted to the anonymous gossip site DeuxMoi is to be believed. The MomTok leader was allegedly going to appear on the upcoming Season 35. The message, shared by DeuxMoi’s Instagram reads:

There’s a lot to break down there, starting with the fact that Dancing with the Stars had allegedly planned on casting Taylor Frankie Paul for next season. This is totally believable, given DWTS’ history of featuring The Bachelor franchise leads, as well as two of TFP’s fellow The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives stars — Whitney Leavitt and Jen Affleck — appearing on Season 34.

According to the source, Tayshia Adams is being eyed to replace her, which seems like an interesting choice. Adams recently returned to the franchise for the first time in five years — attending The Bachelorette reunion ahead of Taylor Frankie Paul’s doomed season and serving as a judge on HGTV’s Bachelor Mansion Takeover.

She originally appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor in 2020, replaced Clare Crawley as the lead of The Bachelorette Season 16, and then co-hosted Seasons 17 and 18 with Kaitlyn Bristowe. We’ll have to see if she will, indeed, hit the dance floor.

As those details allegedly get worked out, the gossip item suggests Love Island stars and The Traitors favorites Rob Rausch and Maura Higgins will be announced as two of the celebs going on DWTS. That’s definitely possible, since we already know Mark Ballas has been working to get the snake-wrangler to join the show, and I can’t wait to see if he’d end up partnered with Emma Slater after her A+ reaction to his NSFW audiobook.

It’s wild to think that the Taylor Frankie Paul brouhaha has affected not just The Bachelor franchise, but The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives and possibly Dancing with the Stars as well. The Bachelor franchise has done some wild things in its 23 years on the air, but I can’t say I ever saw this partnership coming. The ABC reality dating show and HGTV are teaming up for a new competition show called Bachelor Mansion Takeover. This is surprising given so many recent HGTV cancellations, but I am pumped nonetheless to see 12 alumni compete as they remodel the famed Villa de la Vina. One question keeps nagging at me though — are these reality stars qualified to do this?

First things first, who are the dozen contestants who will compete for $100,000 on Bachelor Mansion Takeover? There’s a nice mix of old and new, youngs and Goldens, a couple of former leads and more than one villain thrown in the mix. Below is the cast, as well as whose Bachelor season they originally appeared on:

Who better to remodel the mansion than those who know what it’s like to live there? But I had to look into whether or not they are actually qualified for the job ahead. The short answer seems to be yes, according to their Bachelor bios, but I’d assume people like Christopher and Sam — who are contractors — are going to have a leg up on others like Noah (a travel nurse) and Courtney (a model).

Who knows, though? Maybe we’ll learn that all of the contestants have had their hands in renovation in some way. Others with relevant experience include Allyshia, interior designer; Tammy, house flipper; Brendan, roofer; and Jill, architectural historian, which I can only hope means she’ll bring some interesting ideas to the table.

Those with possibly less helpful jobs include Dean, startup recruiter; Sandra, retired executive assistant; Joan, private school administrator; and Jeremy, real estate investor (TBD determined if his investing knowledge will help him here).

Again, these were their professions, but it’s reasonable to assume many of them have changed jobs or become influencers since their time in The Bachelor franchise. It does seem, though, like HGTV took their backgrounds into consideration over other factors when casting.

For instance, they didn’t cast the members of Bachelor Nation who are involved with these 12 contestants, like Abigail Heringer, who is married to Noah, or Chock Chapple, who is engaged to Joan.

The HGTV casting team didn’t appear to be going for drama either. They easily could have cast someone’s ex (I’m sure Sam would not be happy to see Jenn Tran again after getting “dragged for filth” on their season), and Allyshia would certainly have bumped heads with Kat Izzo after their rivalry on Bachelor in Paradise Season 10, which can be streamed with a Hulu subscription.

I’m excited to see what the TV personalities bring to the home renovation space. Jesse Palmer will, not surprisingly, be there along the way, as he is the host of Bachelor Mansion Takeover, and Tayshia Adams and Tyler Cameron will serve as the judges.

Honestly, the only bad thing I have to say about the upcoming Bachelor/HGTV relationship is that it won’t be finished in time for the 2025 TV schedule. Bachelor Mansion Takeover is set to air in 2026. In the meantime, you can tune into The Golden Bachelor, with episodes airing at 8 p.m. ET Wednesdays on ABC.

Spoiler alert! This story contains spoilers for the July 15 episode of Jenn Tran’s episode of The Bachelorette. You can stream Season 21 episodes on Hulu — one of the best streaming services — if you’re not caught up.

Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette wasted no time ramping up the drama, particularly with Devin Strader not seeing eye to eye with his castmates. But while the cold open of the July 15 episode teased the Houston, Texas, native involved in a shouting match with Thomas Nguyen, it was actually his conflict with Aaron Erb that had Bachelor Nation feeling like they’d been transported back to 2020. Aaron pulled a wild stunt against Devin that echoed an exact plotline from Tayshia Adams’ season involving his twin brother Noah Erb.

On Monday’s episode, Aaron Erb got extremely butthurt over Devin Strader pulling Jenn Tran aside during a group date to get some ice cream, which led to back-and-forth griping between the two men for the rest of the episode. During the cocktail party, Aaron asked to speak to Devin outside, and presented him with a gift — a book titled Principles for Self-Growth that he said he’d brought with him and had read a couple of times. Aaron told his adversary: 

Bachelor Nation didn’t miss a beat, instantly recalling Noah Erb’s feud with Harvard grad Bennett Jordan in Season 16, when Bennett gave Noah a condescending lecture about how he lacked three of the four facets of emotional intelligence, presenting him with a book in the exact same way.  

Aaron Erb’s words even seemed to be a rewrite of what Bennett Jordan had told his brother, as a look back at that clip from The Bachelorette shows that Bennett told Noah Erb: 

Usually it’s really fun as a longtime fan to notice Easter eggs from previous seasons stuck into current episodes, but I have to say, this one is pretty annoying. The fact that it so obviously mirrors a situation from not that long ago with this dude’s brother just screams producer manipulation, and if you never questioned how fake reality TV is before, The Bachelorette just served up the proof on a silver platter.

Back in Season 16, Noah and Bennett’s rivalry ended in a 2-on-1 date, with Tayshia Adams eliminating Bennett and keeping Noah but refusing to reward his behavior with a rose. Will Jenn Tran’s season continue to follow suit and feature Aaron and Devin going head-to-head? Who will Jenn eliminate and who will she believe in this battle of he said/he said? 

The Bachelorette may have left Los Angeles, but it looks like there are still rats on this season. Tune in for new episodes each Monday at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, or streaming the next day with a Hulu subscription.

Kaitlyn Bristowe appeared on Nick Viall’s season of The Bachelor before starring in her own season of The Bachelorette. After the dating show, Bristowe went on to appear in and win Dancing with the Stars Season 29. She has a popular podcast Off the Vine, started her own wine label called Spade and Sparrows, and even released a single, “If I’m Being Honest,” in 2020. Bristowe remained so beloved by Bachelor Nation that she was chosen to return to the mansion as co-host of Katie Thurston’s season following Chris Harrison’s exit.  

Jillian Harris

After appearing on The Bachelor and leading her own season, Jillian Harris made a name for herself in the interior design world. She starred on HGTV’s Love It or List It, Too and was a designer on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2010. She maintains a strong social media presence with her brands Jillian Harris Design and The Jilly Box, and also provides small business coaching through The Jilly Academy. She is the co-author of the plant-based cookbook Fraiche Food Full Hearts. 

Bob Guiney

Bob Guiney was a contestant on the first season of The Bachelorette before becoming the fourth Bachelor. He rode his television fame to a gig with Game Show Network, hosting GSN Live for three years, in addition to some other TV appearances. In 2003 he published the book What a Difference a Year Makes: How Life's Unexpected Setbacks Can Lead to Unexpected Joy about his reality TV experience, and nearly 20 years later he became the co-host of the Almost Famous OGs podcast. 

Nick Viall

Since his time on The Bachelor, two seasons of The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise, Nick Viall has continued to make a name for himself outside of the reality dating realm. His podcast The Viall Files hosts some of the biggest names in reality TV and pop culture, and in addition to doling out advice to his listeners, he published a book in 2022, Don’t Text Your Ex Happy Birthday. Viall has continued in the reality TV realm, appearing on Dancing with the Stars Season 24 and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 2, which he won. He’s also dabbled in acting, with appearances in series including Teachers and Speechless. 

Peter Weber

Peter Weber was a contestant on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette and then led a season of his own. While maintaining a job as a pilot following his dating show career, Weber obtained a strong social media following and ended up starring in Season 2 of The Traitors, which can be streamed with a Peacock subscription. 

Arie Luyendyk Jr.

After making his Bachelor Nation debut on Emily Maynard’s season of The Bachelorette, Arie Luyendyk Jr. became infamous for the controversial finale of his season of The Bachelor, in which he broke up with Becca Kufrin to reunite with his runner-up Lauren Burnham. He and Lauren maintain a popular YouTube channel, and Luyendyk returned to TV in Season 1 of The Traitors. 

Rachel Lindsay

After her time on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, Rachel Lindsay has continued to make a name for herself. She worked as a correspondent for Extra until 2023, hosted the MTV series Love Gone Missing, and has hosted multiple shows on ESPN, including First Take and Football Frenzy. Lindsay hosts a podcast with Van Lathan called Higher Learning, and she’s published two books, Real Love: A Novel and Miss Me With That: Hot Takes, Helpful Tidbits, and a Few Hard Truths. 

Tyler Cameron

Tyler Cameron may not have won Hannah Brown’s heart on The Bachelorette, but he proved to have lasting star power. Since the dating show, he has been linked to women including fashion model Gigi Hadid, Kylie Jenner’s BFF Stassie Karanikolaou, and Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari. He appeared in the Netflix film Good on Paper and made a guest appearance on Saturday Night Live in a sketch with Kim Kardashian. He’s also appeared on other reality shows The Real Dirty Dancing, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 2 (which he won), and Going Home with Tyler Cameron, a home renovation show available to stream with an Amazon Prime Video subscription.

Jesse Palmer

Since starring on The Bachelor in Season 5, former NFL quarterback Jesse Palmer has been honing his skills in both the sports and hosting worlds. He’s served as a college football and NFL analyst for major networks including ESPN/ABC, Fox Sports, and the NFL Network. He was a contributor for Good Morning America and has hosted series including The Ultimate Surfer, The Proposal, Spring Baking Championship, Food Truck Face Off, Bakeaway Camp, and Holiday Baking: Gingerbread Showdown. Oh yeah, and he replaced Chris Harrison as The Bachelor franchise host. 

Jordan Rodgers

After winning JoJo Fletcher’s season of The Bachelorette, Jordan Rodgers — a former quarterback and brother of Aaron Rodgers — has become a football analyst for networks including ESPN and the SEC Network. He and Fletcher hosted the reality show Cash Pad, the Paramount+ series Battle of the Fittest Couples, and their own reality dating show, The Big D. 

Jake Pavelka

Jake Pavelka is another reality star who appeared on both The Bachelorette and The Bachelor, as well as the spinoff Bachelor Pad. He kept the reality TV train on the tracks with appearances on Dancing with the Stars Season 10, Famous Food on VH1, H8R on The CW, and the Food Network’s Rachael vs. Guy: Celebrity Cook-Off. He’s also done a bit of acting, appearing on Drop Dead Diva and The Bold and the Beautiful. 

Courtney Robertson

After Courtney Robertson won Ben Flajnik’s season of The Bachelor, she released a memoir about the experience, I Didn't Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain. The model has since competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and made an appearance on Mad TV. She is the host of After Reality, a podcast where she interviews fellow former reality stars. 

Colton Underwood

Following Colton Underwood’s shocking fence-jump moment on The Bachelor Season 23, the football player ultimately came out as gay, telling his story on the docuseries Coming Out Colton (available to stream with a Netflix subscription). He has since gotten married to political strategist Jordan C. Brown and published the book The First Time: Finding Myself and Looking for Love on Reality TV. 

Tayshia Adams

One of the Season 16 Bachelorettes, Tayshia Adams, is one of the many Bachelor Nation members who has parlayed her experience into a career as an influencer. In addition to several brand deals, she partnered with Amaryllis Apparel to launch a clothing line and Conair for hair accessories. She’s also continued to make TV appearances, guest-hosting Entertainment Tonight and E! Daily Pop, co-hosting a season of The Bachelorette with Kaitlyn Bristowe, and competing on The $100,000 Pyramid.

Hannah Brown

After making it to Hometowns on Colton Underwood’s season and then leading a season of The Bachelorette, Hannah Brown went on to win Dancing with the Stars Season 28 and later Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test Season 1. She released a memoir God Bless This Mess: Learning to Live and Love Through Life's Best (and Worst) Moment and has begun penning romance novels. 

JoJo Fletcher

JoJo Fletcher has continued to make a name for herself outside of Bachelor Nation, launching the clothing line Fletch in 2018 and teaming up with Cupshe in 2022 for a swimwear line. She and her husband Jordan Rodgers have gone on to host the reality series Cash Pad, Battle of the Fittest Couples, and The Big D. 

Madison Prewett

Madison Prewett has maintained a strong social media presence since appearing on The Bachelor as Peter Weber’s runner-up. She married Grant Troutt, son of billionaire businessman Kenny Troutt, and has published two books — Made for This Moment and The Love Everybody Wants with an accompanying Bible study course. 

Wells Adams

After appearances on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, Wells Adams found love with Modern Family star Sarah Hyland but stuck around the dating show anyway, serving as the BiP bartender. He has competed on Celebrity Game Face, Worst Cooks in America, and Celebrity Family Feud and co-hosts two podcasts — Your Favorite Thing with Brandi Cyrus and Two Dudes in a Kitchen with Tyler Florence. 

Trista Sutter

Not only was Trista Sutter on the very first season of The Bachelor, but she went on to star in the inaugural season of The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars Season 1 after that. She has continued to make guest appearances on the Bachelor Nation series, including The Golden Bachelor, and has also appeared on Fear Factor, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. She released the memoir Happily Ever After: The Life-Changing Power of a Grateful Heart in 2013 and later became the co-host of the Almost Famous OGs podcast alongside Bob Guiney.

Jamie Otis

Jamie Otis started her reality TV career on The Bachelor and Bachelor Pad but is better known for marrying Doug Hehner on Married at First Sight. The couple later starred in their own spinoff Married at First Sight: The First Year. She has also launched her own jewelry line and wrote the book Wifey 101: Everything I Got Wrong About Finding Mr. Right. 

Melissa Rycroft

After her time on The Bachelor, Melissa Rycroft competed in Seasons 8 and 15 of Dancing with the Stars. Along with the podcast Logically Irrational, Rycroft’s other ventures include a CMT reality show Melissa & Tye with her husband Tye Strickland, multiple appearances on Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team, and hosting Redneck Island. 

Ali Fedotowsky 

Ali Fedotowsky appeared on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, accumulating a strong social media following afterward. She has since served as a judge at the 2012 Miss USA Pageant, hosted NBC’s 1st Look, been an E! News correspondent and co-hosted the Home & Family talk show. She also competed on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. 

Keltie Knight

After a short stint on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor, Keltie Knight (née Busch) continued her climb to fame as a correspondent for CBS’ The Insider, before moving to Entertainment Tonight. She then went to E! News as the chief correspondent and later co-host of the entertainment news program. She co-created the LadyGang podcast, which was eventually turned into a TV series on E!, and she’s also one of the minds behind the game show Superfan.  

Ben Flajnik

For the most part, Ben Flajnik went back to his winery following his time on The Bachelorette and leading The Bachelor, but he stayed in the headlines due to an appearance on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and rumors that he was having an affair with Kris Jenner. 

Lauren Bushnell Lane

After accepting a proposal from Ben Higgins on The Bachelor, Lauren Bushnell starred with her fiancé in their own reality show on Freeform, Ben and Lauren, Happily Ever After? It, in fact, wasn’t happily ever after, and Bushnell went on to marry country music star Chris Lane. She has since maintained a successful career as an influencer. 

Mike Johnson

America fell in love with Mike Johnson on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, to the point that he almost became the next Bachelor. Instead, however, he appeared on Bachelor in Paradise before going on to compete on Celebrity Family Feud. He also co-hosted Bachelor Nation’s Talking It Out podcast alongside Bryan Abasolo. 

Catherine Giudici Lowe

After getting engaged to Sean Lowe on The Bachelor, Catherine Giudici said “I do” on live TV, in a wedding special that aired on ABC a year later. The couple has since appeared on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars and CNBC’s Billion Dollar Buyer. Catherine has a strong social media presence, and found success with brands like LoweCo stationary and the furniture line Home by Sean and Catherine Lowe. 

Andi Dorfman

Andi Dorfman has built an impressive following since appearing on The Bachelor and starring on The Bachelorette. In addition to her two books — It’s Not Okay and Single State of Mind — she started a clothing line for runners called Andorfins. She has competed on both Celebrity Family Feud and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire. 

Hannah Godwin

Hannah Godwin increased her social media following after appearing on The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise through her work as a model, YouTuber and TikTok celebrity. In addition to several endeavors as an influencer, Godwin created the Setty photo filter app. 

Becca Kufrin

Many people came to know Becca Kufrin for the brutal breakup she endured at the hands of Arie Luyendyk Jr. on The Bachelor, especially after it was parodied on Saturday Night Live (with Cecily Strong portraying Kufrin). She not only went on to star on The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise, but she hosted the official Bachelor Nation podcast Bachelor Happy Hour for three years and served as the emcee of the “Bachelor Live on Stage” tour. Kufrin is the creator of Bourdon wines and Improv booze-free cocktails. 

Sean Lowe

Sean Lowe came to fame on The Bachelorette before starring on The Bachelor, and he followed his reality dating experiences with a live wedding special and appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Celebrity Family Feud, Celebrity Wife Swap, Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition. He published his memoir For the Right Reasons: America's Favorite Bachelor on Faith, Love, Marriage, and Why Nice Guys Finish First in 2015. 

Ashley Iaconetti

In addition to appearing on The Bachelor, two seasons of Bachelor in Paradise and The Bachelor Winter Games, Ashley Iaconetti has been seen on Celebrity Family Feud and Million Dollar Matchmaker. She’s made numerous TV appearances and worked as a correspondent for Access Hollywood, as well as hosted the Almost Famous podcast with Ben Higgins and the I Don’t Get It podcast with her sister Lauren. Iaconetti and her husband Jared Haibon co-authored the children’s book Lucy & Clark: A Story of Puppy Love.

Not all of The Bachelor contestants were successful in finding love, but it’s nice to see that many of them were able to use the experience to find fame and develop their careers. 

Tayshia Adams has done it all when it comes to Bachelor Nation. She was first introduced as a contestant on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor before appearing on Bachelor in Paradise and then replacing Clare Crawley to lead Season 16 of The Bachelorette, where she got engaged to Zac Clark. The former phlebotomist then parlayed that success into other opportunities with the show. However, her luck in the franchise took a turn last year after she ended her engagement, and now she’s getting real about fans’ chances of seeing her on the beach again, as well as her thoughts on dating in Bachelor Nation.

Everything was coming up roses for Tayshia Adams following her on-air engagement. But when her and Zac Clark’s relationship ended, she also walked away from the official Bachelor Nation podcast Click Bait. Not long after that, it was announced that Jesse Palmer would replace her and Kaitlyn Bristowe as hosts of The Bachelorette. With the increasing distance between her and the franchise, Adams spoke to ET’s Lauren Zima ahead of hosting the 2022 MTV Movie & TV Awards: Unscripted and gave a pretty honest response when Zima asked her if she was still open to dating within Bachelor Nation:

It seems Tayshia Adams may have suffered enough televised heartbreak for one woman. Not only did her time on The Bachelor end unfavorably, after Colton Underwood jumped the fence when fellow finalist Cassie Rudolph wanted to leave the show, she also experienced a painfully awkward interview with Kaitlyn Bristowe following her breakup with Zac Clark. News apparently broke about their split just before The Bachelorette co-hosts were set to tape Michelle Young’s “Men Tell All.” Bristowe gave Adams the opportunity to address it during the show, and Adams became upset, walking off stage during filming.

Even after these events, is there any chance Tayshia Adams would take another shot of love on the beach when Bachelor in Paradise returns for Season 8? I’m thinking that’s a hard no, based on what she told Lauren Zima:

She agreed with Lauren Zima’s assertion that Cabo is an upgrade from the beaches of Paradise. (For what it’s worth, Zima likely has her own opinions about The Bachelor franchise, as she is engaged to former host Chris Harrison.)

Tayshia Adams may be moving on to projects outside Bachelor Nation, but that won’t stop us from enjoying all the drama to come. As we wait for official information on Bachelor in Paradise, which is set to begin filming in a couple of weeks, Season 18 of The Bachelorette premieres Monday, July 11, featuring both of Clayton Echard’s finalists, Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey, as dual leads. Bachelor Nation viewers who tuned in to watch Michelle Young’s suitors dish about what really happened on Season 18 of The Bachelorette were caught off-guard when the focus of the “Men Tell All” turned away from the men and onto co-host Tayshia Adams. Kaitlyn Bristowe navigated an awkward, but mercifully short, interview with Adams about her recent breakup with fiancé Zac Clark. This led some fans to say the show crossed a line, especially after Adams was overcome with emotion and walked off stage during the interview that followed.

Kaitlyn Bristowe spoke out in defense of the interview, however, saying that she wanted Tayshia Adams to be able to own her story, as news of the end of her engagement had just come out on the day of the “Men Tell All” filming. Bristowe told US Weekly’s Here for the Right Reasons podcast that her co-host was “beside herself” ahead of filming but that Adams wanted to do the interview:

Tayshia Adams was clearly not okay, as her co-host gently asked her why she wasn’t wearing her engagement ring. Adams didn’t provide any details about what went wrong between her and Zac Clark, who she got engaged to at the end of Season 16 of The Bachelorette. She said the couple tried really hard to make it work and that she was heartbroken.

It was Kaitlyn Bristowe’s transition into the hosts’ next interview, however, that really bothered fans, and seemingly her emotional colleage, too. Bristowe introduced Season 18 fan favorite Rodney Mathews to the stage, saying, “From one broken heart to another,” after which the former Bachelorette stood up and walked off stage. Bachelor Nation said the placement in the show and the drama at her expense felt staged, and Bristowe agreed it was a hard segment to fit into the show:

Surely everybody can relate to having things happen in their personal life that make it hard to concentrate on work but, luckily, most of us don’t have to do that on-camera. Kaitlyn Bristowe herself went through her own public breakup with Shawn Booth, who she got engaged to at the end of The Bachelorette Season 11. Three years later, they announced the end of their relationship, and Bristowe is now engaged to Jason Tartick, who competed on Becca Kufrin’s season.

There’s one thing that Bachelor Nation and Kaitlyn Bristowe agree on whole-heartedly — Tayshia Adams was a boss for going back on stage and finishing the job after she took a few minutes to herself. If Colton Underwood, former lead of The Bachelor and star of the Netflix series Coming Out Colton, doesn’t want to be associated with the ABC franchise anymore, he certainly seems to be doing a decent job of burning those bridges. Days after former Bachelor Ben Higgins called Underwood out for lying about the support (or lack thereof) he received from Bachelor Nation after he came out, more of the datings shows' alum are speaking out, including The Bachelorette’s Tayshia Adams. 

Tayshia Adams was one of Colton Underwood’s final contestants on Season 23 of The Bachelor, later going on to lead her own season of The Bachelorette, and she is disputing the claims Underwood made on his new docuseries Coming Out Colton about their Fantasy Suite date. In one episode of the Netflix series, Underwood said during their overnight date on The Bachelor, he slept in sweatpants and a sweatshirt because he didn’t want to give Adams the wrong impression, as he put it. Adams directly addressed this claim on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast, saying: 

Not a lot of wiggle room for error there in Adams' mind, understandably. She also doesn't understand why she was brought into the conversation at all, saying:

Tayshia Adams said it was so hot in Portugal the night of their Fantasy Suite date that they had the doors wide open trying to get more air in the room, and that Colton Underwood slept in his boxers.

The Bachelorette co-host said she doesn’t understand why Colton Underwood would feel the need to make up that untrue detail, saying she isn't aware of what he might be covering up for by saying such things. They had a good conversation and left things on a good note, so for this to be coming up after the fact, she said, “makes me so sad." 

Nick Viall, meanwhile, joined Ben Higgins in arguing against Colton Underwood’s claims that Chris Harrison was the only person from Bachelor Nation who reached out to him after Underwood came out as gay earlier this year. On his podcast The Viall Files, the Season 21 Bachelor read an exchange he had with Underwood from April 14, where Viall congratulated Underwood, and the former football player thanked him and said he was happy. Viall, like Tayshia Adams and Higgins, said he just didn’t understand why Underwood needed to lie.

Will fans soon hear about other Bachelor and Bachelorette vets coming forward with claims about Underwood? Will the now-Netflix star speak out defending himself in the near future? Neither scenario would be all that surprising at this point.

The seventh season of Bachelor in Paradise got off to as dramatic a start as could be expected with Bachelor Nation's most bonkers series, but the drama really amped up in the second episode thanks to the arrival of Bachelor and Paradise alum Demi Burnett with a date card and her eye on Brendan Morais. During the course of their date, Demi made a bold claim about Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, and there are receipts to prove that she's not being altogether truthful.

On Demi Burnett's date with Brendan Morais, she told him that she hadn't watched Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette, so she didn't know his story as one of Tayshia's frontrunners before he decided to leave after hometowns. While that would be all well and good since Bachelor Nation veterans aren't exactly required to keep up to date on every single season of the franchise, Demi actually live-tweeted portions of Tayshia's time on The Bachelorette as she watched. Take a look:

I couldn't find any tweets from Demi Burnett that specifically mentioned Brendan Morais, but she did comment on the guys of Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette:

Of course, Demi Burnett was live-tweeting Tayshia Adams' season of The Bachelorette the better part of a year ago, and she didn't tweet along with every single episode to indicate that she was religiously watching. Still, unless she was elaborately faking some live tweets back in the fall, then Demi was lying to Brendan Morais about not watching Tayshia's season. And some Bachelor Nation fans have called Demi out for lying, with some receipts to show their work:

Now, that particular tweet of Demi Burnett breaking out the emojis to tell Tayshia Adams to "Get their asses" while live-tweeting doesn't seem to be posted anymore, so Demi evidently deleted it at some point, but the tweets that are still up on her account are proof enough that she was watching at least some of the season. And considering how closely connected the big names in Bachelor Nation tend to be to the franchise, it would honestly be pretty shocking if Demi went to Paradise completely in the dark on the guys who might be coming from trying to woo Tayshia.

The doubts that fans had in response to Demi Burnett's claim about Tayshia Adams' time on The Bachelorette were probably fueled by Demi happily embracing the fact that she was about to turn Paradise upside down thanks to her arrival that raised the total number of women to fourteen hoping to win the roses of just ten guys. She seemed like she was looking forward to starting trouble, and her last go on Bachelor in Paradise proved that Demi does tend to deliver the drama, intentionally or not.

I'm sure plenty of viewers would have had their doubts about Demi Burnett's claim even if not for the Twitter receipts, which may mean that there might not be as many people on Team Demi as might have been without her comments about Tayshia Adams' season. On the plus side, fans who doubted Demi's statement definitely picked out some fun gifs to post their thoughts!

For some fans, Demi Burnett's arrival felt rehearsed for more reasons than her bold (and easily contradicted for anybody with a long enough memory of her social media activity) claim, with one person saying that it all feels "staged."

By the end of the hour, Demi Burnett was pretty much just looking for any available man with a rose to spare, and she set her sights on James Bonsall, ready for a friendship rose if that's what it took to stick around, but not without dropping a joke about having sex. He did ultimately give her a rose in the hope of getting to know her better, so Demi is sticking around for a bit longer. Assuming the women are distributing roses next, she's safe until at least the next round.

Bachelor in Paradise is moving to two nights a week, so fans will get plenty of drama each week as the Bachelor Nation veterans continue their latest searches for love. Catch new episodes of Season 7 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Another season of The Bachelorette is on the way next, with The Bachelor not returning (likely with a divisive leading man) until next year.

The most recent season of The Bachelor starring Matt James shook up the franchise as a whole in a major way due to the chain of events that resulted in longtime host Chris Harrison being fired, and a big question in the aftermath was who Bachelor Nation would choose to replace him. Former Bachelorettes and fan-favorites Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe have been sharing the hosting duties in the current Season 17 of The Bachelorette, and the latest reveal about their time as hosts raises the question: should Bachelor Nation keep them for The Bachelor?

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will officially return as co-hosts for Season 18 of The Bachelorette, according to Variety. Season 18 will center on Michelle Young, who like current Bachelorette Katie Thurston was a contestant on Matt James' divisive season of The Bachelor. In a departure from the normal release schedule, however, the next season of Bachelor in Paradise will not be followed by the next season of The Bachelor, but rather Young's season of The Bachelorette. So, it seems that a decision has not yet been made about who will host The Bachelor when it returns in 2022.

The two former Bachelorettes have clearly done well enough (and been received well enough by the passionate fanbase) as hosts of Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette despite a drop in the ratings, but does that mean that they're shoo-ins for the next season of The Bachelor? It's worth noting that neither will be hosting Bachelor in Paradise Season 7, which premieres in just a couple of weeks, even though Adams herself was a memorable contestant before starring in the second half of The Bachelorette Season 16. Instead, Bachelor Nation elected to bring in a number of guest hosts to fill the spot held by Chris Harrison in every previous season.

Of course, the news of Bachelor in Paradise getting guest hosts broke before Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette premiered and introduced viewers to Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe as hosts, so Adams and Bristowe being contracted for Michelle Young's season indicates that they could have a long future as Bachelor Nation hosts. Their new contracts include multi-year options, and production on The Bachelorette's new season has reportedly just started production with Adams and Bristowe (as well as Young, the cast, and crew) quarantining for about a week.

Despite the seeming level of success that resulted in both women being signed for the next season of The Bachelorette, there's no guarantee that they'll be back for The Bachelor. Part of why I've appreciated them so much as Katie Thurston's hosts is the same reason why I have my doubts about them guiding the love journey of whichever of the ousted gents from Thurston or Michelle Young gets to distribute roses next. Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe made sense as former Bachelorettes guiding the current Bachelorette along, as well as relating their experiences as women in the franchise. I could see Bachelor Nation going for a former Bachelor as the next Bachelor host rather than Adams or Bristowe.

There are certainly some fan-favorite Bachelors, like Nick Viall and Ben Higgins, although I think it would be safe to rule out former leading men like Colton Underwood and Juan Pablo Galavis. It's also possible that Bachelor Nation simply isn't ready to hand over the reins of the franchise to permanent hosts just yet. Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe have proven that they can handle The Bachelorette, and a new format will be implemented for Bachelor in Paradise. At this point, I'm leaning toward expecting a former Bachelor to step up as host for the first season of The Bachelor without Chris Harrison in 2022 as a trial run.

For now, you can look forward to the final episodes of Katie Thurston's season of The Bachelorette on ABC Mondays starting at 8 p.m. ET. The recent "Men Tell All" special was as dramatic as could be expected, including some redemption for Connor Brennan after gaining a reputation for being a bad kisser courtesy of Thurston. As for who she picks at the end of the season... well, those who are not spoiled about who gets the final rose will just have to keep watching to find out.

The Bachelorette is back for another season on ABC, and it would be difficult for Katie Thurston's romantic journey to take as many wild twists as when Clare Crawley's season turned into Tayshia Adams' season last year. That said, Season 17 already stands out from every other season of Bachelor Nation in one key way: Chris Harrison is nowhere to be seen, and with former Bachelorettes Kaitlyn Bristowe and Adams hosting instead. So, now that the two-hour premiere has aired, were they the right replacements for Harrison?

It was announced months ago that Chris Harrison wouldn't be hosting The Bachelorette Season 17 due to the same racism scandal that saw him replaced in the

"After the Final Rose" special that wrapped Matt James' season of The Bachelor. As popular former Bachelorette leading ladies who know their way around the reality TV search for love, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe each made sense as a replacement host, but they were also inexperienced with the hosting position in Bachelor Nation, and fans haven't experienced a season hosted by more than one person before. So, how did they do?

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe as a hosting duo guaranteed that Season 17 felt different from all the seasons that came before right off the bat, and there was a lot more giggling with them supporting Katie Thurston than Chris Harrison. The format wasn't as organized with two hosts instead of just the one, and they didn't have the ease of Chris Harrison that can only come with nearly 20 years of hosting experience. Plus, not a ton of interaction with the men.

That said, I'm officially on Team Tayshia And Kaitlyn after the Season 17 premiere. Going into the season, my biggest question was if The Bachelorette could even work with two hosts instead of one, and I wasn't sure if it was the right call to bring in both Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe instead of just one. After watching them watch the procession of men meeting Katie Thurston from afar, however, I discovered that a twosome opened the hosts up to deliver some banter-style commentary and open up a new perspective on the season.

The commentary really worked for me, especially since meeting contestant after contestant can drag sometimes. And it also worked for me because it delivered something that I've been wanting from The Bachelorette for a long time: more of the female perspective in a season centered on a woman's emotional journey. Now, I'm well aware that the audience for Bachelor Nation is mostly comprised of women. In fact, I always have fun trying to see how many men are in the audience at the "After the Final Rose" specials. There were plenty of ladies around with Chris Harrison as host.

But I've also always wanted the Bachelorettes to have the regular input of another woman rather than just Chris Harrison when going through the struggles that inevitably arise during a season. The Season 17 premiere showed a level of comfort and understanding between Katie Thurston and Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe that isn't usually present with Chris Harrison as host of The Bachelorette. Thurston's hosts are people who can relate to her in more ways than Harrison would have been able to, as women and former Bachelorettes.

Plus, one of my hangups during the latest season of The Bachelor was that things started to feel contrived and formulaic, and two former Bachelorettes as hosts is the kind of change that will mix things up in some big ways. Whether those big ways go over well with the audience at large remains to be seen, and I could well change my mind about Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe as hosts as the weeks pass, but I'm very glad that something is being done differently to potentially spice things up. This isn't more of the same, and I didn't find myself missing Chris Harrison at all during the premiere, although that's not the case for everybody.

Tayshia Adams has been on both sides of the rose, so to speak, during her time on Bachelor Nation. She wasn't chosen in the finals of Colton Underwood's controversial Bachelor season, but she made enough of an impression to be called in as the replacement leading lady of The Bachelorette last year when Clare Crawley left early. She was called in again this year, only this time as a replacement host for Chris Harrison on The Bachelorette and apparently sought out some advice from another franchise alum.

And who better for Tayshia Adams to ask advice from than Bachelor Nation alum JoJo Fletcher? Fletcher followed a journey similar to Adams, given how they both didn’t find love on The Bachelor but would go on to find it as the lead in The Bachelorette. Here’s what Fletcher told US Weekly about Adams reaching out:

JoJo Fletcher didn’t get into the specifics of the advice she gave Tayshia Adams, but the pressure is certainly on for her and co-host Kaitlyn Bristowe to measure up in Chris Harrison’s absence. Along with her Bachelorette fiancé Zac Clark, Adams has been very upbeat and positive about the change, even promising something “totally new” for the 20-year-old franchise. Bristowe, on the other hand, has mentioned that hosting and advising leading ladies herself has “brought up some trauma or anxiety” that she hadn't dealt with from her previous experience being in the public eye.

The changing of the hosting guard has created a polarizing effect amongst fans, former contestants, and supposedly the new cast and crew alike. Reports have alleged that even current contestants for Katie Thurston’s Bachelorette season, which recently wrapped filming, didn’t feel as comfortable going to the two women for advice as they once did Chris Harrison.

Many speculated that JoJo Fletcher, a notorious fan favorite, was going to be chosen to host The Bachelorette in lieu of Chris Harrison. According to Fletcher though, she never even got that call. But it looks like she wouldn’t have been able to take on the role anyway, thanks to another hosting gig in the pipeline.

Variety confirmed back in March that TBS greenlit a new dating show called The Big D, with JoJo Fletcher and fiancé Jordan Rodgers as hosts. In the show, 10 divorced couples will live together and vote a person out each week, until true romance is found. It’s a neat divorce twist on the Bachelor in Paradise concept and likely why Tayshia Adams felt comfortable going to Fletcher for advice on her own hosting duties.

It’s nine days and counting until Katie Thurston’s Bachelorette season premieres on ABC on June 7. We’ll see how successful JoJo Fletcher’s advice proves to be for both Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe.

Fans who have been watching The Bachelorette for the last 18 years will be in for something completely new this go-around. Chris Harrison stepped away the franchise following a bout of controversy, and former contestants Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe were brought as replacement hosts for Katie Thurston and Michelle Young’s back-to-back seasons. Reportedly, the new hosts are attempting to adjust to their duties and the shadow of Harrison’s absence.

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe aren’t new to Bachelor Nation. Both have competed on the flagship show and several of the spinoffs over the years. But of course, going on dates and being marooned on a Mexico beach is a bit different than managing the dramas of dozens of contestants on a reality show. US Weekly recently learned more about how Adams and Bristowe are faring as hosts now that Katie Thurston’s season has wrapped. One of their sources said:

The concept of co-hosting does sound a bit finicky. I mean, do they trade off speeches? Are they assigned their own team of contestants that they manage? Answers to these questions remain unknown until the back-to-back Bachelorette seasons air in the summer and fall. But Kaitlyn Bristowe did open up recently about the hosting experience on her podcast and said it brought out some latent "trauma or anxiety" that she hadn't dealt with from her own Bachelorette season.

However, it has been reported that The Bachelorette set feels different and slightly awkward for the cast and crew for several reasons. The most obvious one is that many are apparently sentimental for Chris Harrison’s “father figure” presence that Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe lack. A source even indicated to E! News that the men of the show felt they couldn’t have “therapy sessions” with the new hosts. Allegedly the two hosts have had to learn to emulate Harrison’s ability to be “the voice of reason” on set.

The supposed complaints are somewhat understandable for the franchise, which hasn’t made too many changes over the last two decades. But growing pains are bound to happen with Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe taking on the hosting duties. Another source confirmed to US Weekly, however, that the two are doing everything they can to make good impressions. They said:

Supposedly though, the production team behind The Bachelorette was told “specifically” that Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are “not replacing Chris.” Moreover, the changing of the guard is not a “permanent position.” This ominous message makes it seem as though the door is being kept open for Harrison’s return once the backlash from the Rachael Kirkconnell controversy dies down.

Perhaps though, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will deliver something as hosts that fans will really respond to. We will find out when Katie Thurston’s season premieres June 7 at 8 p.m. E.T. on ABC.

Bachelor Nation was shooketh to the core after the fallout from Chris Harrison’s interview with Rachel Lindsay led to his untimely exit as host of the franchise. With nearly 20 years of experience under his belt, it was bound to be somewhat different with Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe taking over as replacements for The Bachelorette’s Season 17 this year. Katie Thurston’s season is done filming now, and insiders reveal why exactly it felt so different for the cast and crew.

Katie Thurston decided to continue to pursue her quest for love on TV after an unsuccessful bid for Matt James’ heart on The Bachelor. This time she’s shining in the driver’s seat as The Bachelorette herself, or so one would think. Yet, now that her season is complete, the biggest difference on set appears to be that the focus is on the new female hosts instead of the leading lady. One of the sources for E! News hinted, that, "It was a lot of female energy in one bubble and hard for Katie to have the full spotlight," with another adding:

“Female energy” should be commended – but not if it was at the expense of another woman, who was supposed to be the lead. If this was indeed the case on the current Bachelorette, it doesn't sound like it was done intentionally. The controversy surrounding Chris Harrison probably followed Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe onto the set, as they attempted to fill his shoes as hosts.

Still, it seems others on The Bachelorette Season 17 production were nostalgic for what they knew for so long. Another source conveyed that male contestants viewed Chris Harrison as “a wise older guy” and the women saw him as “a father figure,” who Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe obviously couldn’t mimic even if they had tried.

This is really interesting, because, on the one hand, Harrison’s persona as the leader of the franchise enabled contestants to look to him as a trusted figure. On the other hand, Harrison was accused of behaving in the exact opposite way during his interview with Rachel Lindsay, prompting the hosting change to be necessary in the minds of the network executives after his comments drew much fire.

Some thought that Chris Harrison’s modus operandi as The Bachelorette host also seemed to be missing from the newcomers. A Bachelor Nation source said that, in contrast, Harrison was “the mediator and voice of reason on set.” On the flip side, another said,

Undoubtedly, Chris Harrison has put in more time than Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe as the host for Bachelor Nation. But, he also played the significant role of executive producer for the franchise. As a result, it’s easy to see how he was able to command respect due to the weight of his title and combined experience.

Something was not quite right with “the vibe,” on set however. A source described it as not necessarily “competitive,” but still very much apparent. The cast and crew often focused in on what Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe managed to bring to their hosting efforts, and their "extremely outgoing personalities" may have led pulled attention away from Katie.

If 2020 taught us anything, though, it’s that change is hard, no matter how you slice it. So, while ABC might want to take these concerns under consideration as Michelle Young’s Bachelorette season gets underway later this year, they will also have to figure out how to make sure the crew, at least, puts Michelle in the spotlight better if Tayshia and Kaitlyn return.

Following the backlash for Chris Harrison’s interview with Rachel Lindsay, ABC saw fit to make some changes concerning Bachelor Nation. Harrison stepped down as the almost 20-year-long host of the dating franchise, while former contestants Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe were brought in as his replacements for the next two back-to-back seasons of The Bachelorette. Allegedly, however, the set feels pretty different without Harrison’s familiar face around.

The situation has unfolded rather quickly, what with the Rachael Kirkconnell controversy and the subsequent interview and fallout happening within the span of only a few months, as The Bachelor continued airing in what felt like the background. Now as The Bachelorette has taken up filming for Season 17 and 18, for Katie Thurston and Michelle Young, respectively, the longtime crew are supposedly missing Chris Harrison’s presence. One source told US Weekly:

Chris Harrison was heavily criticized for the way he discussed Rachael Kirkconnell’s controversial past actions with Rachel Lindsay. He was labelled “racially insensitive” and “dismissive,” among other things. Yet it’s understandable to an extent that The Bachelorette set feels different for production nowadays. Imagining Survivor without Jeff Probst, for example, sounds downright unfeasible.

Much like Jeff Probst on Survivor, many people don’t know that Chris Harrison also pulled double duty as both the host and executive producer on Bachelor Nation. So he actually did a lot more on the shows than the brief minutes that fans would see of him talking to contestants as host. Another source said:

The controversy surrounding Chris Harrison has been swirling non-stop since his on-screen faux pas. He admitted that his words were a mistake and agreed to step down, albeit the statement seemed to allude to the move being more temporary than permanent. Harrison allegedly lawyered up after the continued backlash and Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s takeover of his hosting roles.

At the time, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe posted their own enthused reactions to the news of their hosting gigs on social media. But apparently, others on The Bachelorette set are still looking to the past and Chris Harrison for leadership. As the second source put it:

The two replacement hosts for The Bachelorette might not be completely familiar with all of the production team behind the show, but fans know them well from their time as contestants. Tayshia Adams recently said on the Going to Bed with Garcelle podcast that “the world needs something fresh and new” and that the fans are going to be “really excited” with where they take Bachelor Nation.

Still, change is a hard thing. ABC gave fans slightly familiar faces in Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe to seemingly ease the blow of them not seeing Chris Harrison. We can only know how the two host perform when the upcoming seasons air in the summer and fall.

Despite the shake-up from Chris Harrison’s exit as the franchise’s longtime host, Bachelor Nation is steadily moving into less turbulent waters. Alums Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will be taking over as hosts for the back-to-back seasons of The Bachelorette this year, and they haven’t been shy about being pretty darn excited. Adams’ fiancée has also shared some of his thoughts on her hosting duties for this season – and it sounds like things might be dramatic…

Tayshia Adams first met soon-to-be husband Zac Clark during her season on The Bachelorette last year. Things were tricky for a moment – what with Clare Crowley bowing out early to be with Dale Moss. Adams took over as the leading woman, and things turned out fine, with Adams and Clark still currently in the planning stages for their upcoming nuptials. Now, Clark has taken on the duty of gassing up his fiancée’s hosting duties ahead of Season 17 of The Bachelorette. Here’s what he said to People:

Zac Clark is right, Bachelor Nation doesn’t need much more news or hints to be buzzing about the future of the franchise. Fans are already speculating on their own time about how Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will fare as co-hosts on The Bachelorette. It's likely the task won’t prove too difficult, short of any drama, as the host doesn’t usually have much of a presence beyond moving things along. But maybe with all these dramatic changes, ABC will continue mixing things up even further and somehow make it new and refreshing post-Chris Harrison’s exit.

The racism controversy at the center of the past season of The Bachelor saw to not only Chris Harrison’s fall from grace but also the unpredictable nature of future seasons. Bachelor in Paradise will officially go ahead with Season 7, but reports indicate that many past contestants are supposedly fearful of the Bachelor Nation spotlight now, enough to prevent some from getting on board. When asked about Bachelor in Paradise, Zac Clark only had similar speculations:

As for Tayshia Adams and Zac Clark, plans are still in motion to complete their fairytale ending. Adams has already moved to New York to live with Clark, but he said there isn’t a wedding date set as of yet. He told Us Weekly recently that the two will likely not televise their wedding as other Bachelor Nation newlyweds have. It’s too bad, because Bachelor Nation surely needs more good news to look forward to.

Chris Harrison's decision to step down after almost two decades of hosting ABC's The Bachelor and The Bachelorette wasn't too much of a surprise given the massive backlash he received due to his controversial race-related comments. In the wake of his departure, ABC announced that former contestants Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will take over as The Bachelorette co-hosts -- and they've now reacted after landing their new jobs.

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe both participated on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette in past seasons. ABC's choice to replace former host Chris Harrison with the two women for the next season is a conscious decision that doesn't seem lost on the two. Bristowe posted a celebratory dance of the two with the caption “Let's go girls….” Check out the hilarious (and awkward) dance, set to the backdrop of Busta Rhymes’ “Get It” below:

Likewise, Tayshia Adams posted a photo of herself on Instagram, in which she can be seen basking in a halo of light. She wrote:

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams’ excited reactions to their new hosting gigs are well-earned. The unfortunate circumstance following Matt James' season of The Bachelor is proof positive that new blood is needed to shake the dust off the dating show. Lady hosts leading the charge for the next Bachelorette will surely bring a more relatable and sensitive energy.

A shift in the conversation is certainly what the ABC network is hoping for with the decision. However, in its joint announcement with Warner horizon, the network revealed that Kaitlyn Bristowe and Tayshia Adams’ new hosting duties are technically only through next season in Chris Harrison's “absence.” In the post, they also wrote:

It is unclear, then, whether the hosting change will extend long term. There's always the chance the network is considering a possible return for Chris Harrison at some point in the future.

Female viewers make up the majority demographic for both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, but their reactions on Twitter seem divided on the network dropping Chris Harrison for former contestants. Die-hard traditionalist fans are vowing to never watch the show again without Harrison, others are saying the two women are “the perfect choice.” Many pointed out that it doesn’t make much of a difference, since the host only has a minimal screen time anyway.

For the moment, though, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are choosing to celebrate the changing of the guard. Tune in this summer to see how they fare!

The past month has been a wild time in Bachelor Nation, and not in the normal ways of fantasy suite complications or contestants appearing on shows for the wrong reasons. Longtime host Chris Harrison found himself in hot water after defending The Bachelor Season 25 frontrunner Rachael Kirkconnell for her attendance of an Antebellum party, and even Kirkconnell has acknowledged that she deserves to be held accountable for racist behavior. Chris Harrison stepped back from The Bachelor after stirring up controversy with his interview Rachel Lindsay, and now it appears that The Bachelorette has officially replaced him as host with familiar faces.

Yes, that's familiar faces, plural. Bachelor Nation spoiler guru Reality Steve took to Twitter with the latest spoiler report that reveals The Bachelorette Season 17 (said to be starring Katie Thurston despite previous rumors of a recasting) will be the first not to be hosted by Chris Harrison, but rather by two others. Here's what Steve has to say about the situation:

Reality Steve is almost always reliable as a source of spoilers when it comes to Bachelor Nation, and his report that Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are quarantining at the Hyatt Tamaya in New Mexico seems to corroborate earlier reports that suggested Chris Harrison could be out for Season 17. Adams and Bristowe are of course very familiar faces in the Bachelor franchise, both having appeared for some heartbreak on The Bachelor before starring in a search for love on The Bachelorette.

Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe are also likely fresh in the minds of ABC viewers, as Adams is the most recent Bachelorette after she stepped into Season 16 once Clare Crawley stepped out early, and Bristowe is fresh off winning Dancing with the Stars Season 29. Adams was also the first Black Bachelorette since Rachel Lindsay (and only the second of two Black leads of the entire franchise before Matt James became Bachelor).

All things considered, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe aren't shocking choices to step in for Chris Harrison, if The Bachelorette was looking for new hosts within the Bachelor Nation family rather than bringing in somebody new, as is the case with Emmanuel Acho stepping in to host the "After the Final Rose" special of The Bachelor Season 25. Interestingly, another former Bachelorette served as temporary host of Adams' season as leading lady, but it was JoJo Fletcher who filled in.

That said, Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will come back to The Bachelorette with very different experiences, and not just because Adams' season was bonkers overall. Bristowe found love in Bachelor Nation and seems likely to get engaged to her current partner, but he isn't one of the men who appeared on any of the Bachelor Nation shows with Bristowe. Bristowe is with Jason Tartick, who appeared in Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette. As for Adams, she remains engaged to Zac Clark. One of the women is a Bachelorette success story; the other, less so.

So, how will these Bachelor Nation veterans but inexperienced hosts measure up to Chris Harrison? Only time will tell, assuming spoilers are correct, but production is definitely moving forward on the next season of The Bachelorette. A big question now is whether or not Harrison has a future in Bachelor Nation beyond The Bachelorette Season 16. There are undoubtedly more Bachelor and Bachelorette seasons to come, not to mention my personal favorite that is the trainwreck called Bachelor in Paradise.

It's. Finally. Over. The Bachelorette Season 16, which saw Tayshia Adams take over as lead after Clare Crawley and Dale Moss got engaged in just a couple of weeks during the season, has come to a close. There were tons of surprises waiting for fans as Tayshia chose between her final three suitors during fantasy suite dates and after introducing a couple of them to her family. But, it's possible that there's one thing Bachelor Nation was really surprised by as the credits rolled on the season for the last time: the lack of a live special to wrap up her love story. Now, though, we know why The Bachelorette didn't give Tayshia an After the Final Rose special.

This has been one of the weirdest seasons of any Bachelor franchise show, ever. Cast and crew members had to wait several months for filming to even start, as the original timeline of the show was pushed back (along with all other filming) in March. Then former lead Clare found love with Dale about 12 days into her stay. Tayshia came in as the new Bachelorette, but the production, obviously, couldn't travel to any exotic (or even domestic) locales to help spice things up, and were forced to do everything from a resort in Palm Springs, and never even filmed at the famed Bachelor Mansion.

On top of all of those major changes for The Bachelorette in Season 16, there was no audience and far fewer men in attendance for the Men Tell All Special last week. While host Chris Harrison thinks that that happened to turn out great for the show, and believes they'll do something similar in upcoming seasons, he isn't so keen on there being no After the Final Rose, and took to Twitter to explain why they couldn't give Tayshia the typical send-off, saying:

While it did suck to not get to catch up with Tayshia and her forever love in real time during a live AFR last night, it's completely understandable why it just couldn't be done. At least with the Men Tell All, they were still filming the regular season, and could have kept anyone recently sent "home" at the resort for filming in a few days. Part of the lengthy process for this season of The Bachelorette involved everyone quarantining at the resort and receiving a negative test before being allowed to film, and it wouldn't have been possible to bring people back for that process in order to film the AFR.

Spoilers ahead if you haven't watched the finale yet! Tayshia came into the last two hours of her two-part finale needing to decide what to do after Brendan Morais dumped her, Ben Smith returned to declare his love, and her two remaining picks from fantasy suites, Ivan Hall and Zac Clark, waited on her decision. Tayshia sent Ivan home (NOOOOO), and let Ben and Zac meet her family, but eventually chose Zac as her one and only, and they ended the season engaged. End spoilers!

While many fans (including myself) have complained about Tayshia not getting a full or even remotely normal season as she tried to find true love, it doesn't seem to have stopped her from making this already odd process, which was made even odder by the new rules of 2020, work for her. And, as Chris Harrison said, hopefully The Bachelor will be able to find a way to give Matt James and his ladies the After the Final Rose they deserve in a few months.

What actually turned out to be the most dramatic season in Bachelor Nation history has come to an end with the Season 16 finale of The Bachelorette, with Tayshia Adams deciding which of her remaining suitors was the one for her. That said, the last couple of episodes have been intense for Tayshia, with some unexpected farewells and returns, which leaves me wondering: was the man whose proposal she accepted actually her first choice?

Tayshia ended her season engaged to Zac Clark, who was a steady source of support to her in her final days at La Quinta and made a good impression on her family. The proposal itself was actually very cute, as was them dashing off to "drive" away in a fake taxi cab like the one from a previous date. It was a happy ending, but I find it hard to overlook everything that led to Tayshia choosing Zac over the competition, and am wondering if she wouldn't have chosen one of the others if things had gone just slightly differently.

Brendan Morais struck me as a frontrunner from the beginning, even with spoilers hinting that he and Tayshia wouldn't be riding off into the sunset together. Tayshia was certainly taking him seriously, but he dropped the bombshell in the first half of the premiere that he wasn't ready for a serious relationship when he was still recovering from what happened in his previous relationship, and he left. Upset, Tayshia was down to Zac Clark and Ivan Hall... up until Ben Smith showed up to pull a Bennett Jordan and complicate things.

Ben was sent home last week when he couldn't bring himself to open up to Tayshia and confess that he'd fallen in love with her, but that proved to not be the end of their story. He showed back up at Tayshia's door right when she was about to head to the rose ceremony to presumably break the news about Brendan to Zac and Ivan, and Tayshia wasn't thrilled at having another complication, although she did take the initiative and kiss him.

She ultimately decided to send Ivan home because of their different perspectives on religion, which came somewhat out of nowhere as a dealbreaker to me as a viewer, but better for them to figure it out sooner rather than later! While Tayshia also came to the conclusion that Ben wasn't the guy for her, I felt that it was implied that she might have had something different to say if only Ben had confessed his love prior to being sent home rather than turning up again. And Tayshia was left with Zac.

Now, I'm not suggesting that Tayshia doesn't love Zac, or that Tayshia and Zac won't have a happily-ever-after. They definitely could work out. I just think that Tayshia's ideal top three would have been a Brendan who didn't leave early, a Ben who opened up without being sent home first, and Zac. And I'm not sure Zac would have been her top choice if the obstacles weren't in the way with Brendan and Ben. I can only speculate, though, and Zac was pretty great for Tayshia throughout the second half of the finale on December 22.

Zac was there for her rather than making their interactions about him, which is more or less what Ben did, and he went the extra mile to make a good impression on her family. He also brought them pizza, and pizza can make everything better, right? His proposal was sweet, as was his reaction to Tayshia's confessions, and I truly hope that he and Tayshia are happy together. I really enjoyed Tayshia as the Bachelorette, so my fingers are crossed that she got what she needed out of the experience and not more heartache.

For now, Tayshia's story in Bachelor Nation has come to an end, but fans won't have to go without any Bachelor Nation action for long. The new season of The Bachelor premieres with Matt James on Monday, January 4 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The wild ride of The Bachelorette Season 16 is almost at an end, with Tayshia Adams hoping to follow in Clare Crawley's footsteps in finding love at La Quinta. The first half of the two-part finale featured Tayshia's Fantasy Suites, with three guys still in the running: Brendan Morais, Ivan Hall, and Zac Clark. Well, fans who have kept up with spoilers knew that the date with Brendan wouldn't go the way Tayshia wanted, but I'm left wondering if The Bachelorette gave Zac an unfair Fantasy Suites advantage over Ivan.

Ivan was the first of the three remaining men to join Tayshia for their Fantasy Suite date, but it wasn't exactly the steamiest activity that two people in Bachelor Nation have ever done together. In fact, they were tasked with climbing into literal ice baths to try and break the world record for the world's longest, coldest kiss.

Fortunately, they broke the record and seemingly managed to survive the kiss without any permanent damage to their bodies, and headed off to dinner. Dinner went well, and Tayshia invited him to join her in a Fantasy Suite. Instead of catching a break and being rewarded for the ice bath with the kind of luxury suite that Bachelor Nation viewers have come to expect, this is what Ivan and Tayshia were given:

Yes, that is a trailer. The Bachelorette dressed it up with lights and a setup outside, but at the end of the day, Ivan's Fantasy Suite with Tayshia was a cramped trailer, and their "furniture" to enjoy their champagne and doughnuts was basically a set of lawn chairs outside. There was barely any room to move inside, so it's not a huge surprise that they apparently spent the whole night talking. Ivan didn't seem to have any regrets, but if you ask me, The Bachelorette did him dirty with the ice bath followed by the trailer Fantasy Suite.

And the treatment of Ivan only looked worse when it came to Tayshia's next Fantasy Suite of the episode. While she and Ivan had to climb into ice baths, she and Zac stripped down and painted some art (as well as each other), followed by a shared shower to clean up. Suffice it to say that I wasn't concerned for their health at any point, which isn't the case with poor Ivan in the ice bath! Then, when dinner went well and they headed to their abode for the night, this is what they found:

While Ivan got a night in a trailer after freezing himself in an ice bath, Zac went from doing art with Tayshia to a two-floor villa, complete with luxury furnishing, a bedroom that looked larger than the whole trailer, champagne that they could drink inside with elbow room to spare, and more. Unsurprisingly, they enjoyed their night in the villa, and were jumping on the bed the next morning just for the fun of it. Tayshia was all smiles, and Zac was clearly happy.

I wanted to be happy for them, but I couldn't get over the contrast between what The Bachelorette gave to Ivan and what The Bachelorette gave to Zac. Tayshia isn't going to choose her possible future husband over who got to share a more spacious room with her during Fantasy Suites week, but she didn't have to overcome physical pain to enjoy her date with Zac the way she did with Ivan, and it just doesn't feel fair to me.

In theory, neither Ivan nor Zac will go home after their Fantasy Suite dates thanks to Brendan taking himself out of the running for Tayshia's heart, but the return of Ben Smith pulling a Bennett Jordan move despite Tayshia emotionally sending him home last week will undoubtedly complicate things. Well, well, well. It's come down to this, Bachelor Nation. After several weeks of watching Tayshia Adams play catch up on her shortened portion of Season 16 of The Bachelorette, she's managed to finally get to fantasy suite dates with her last three remaining suitors. Tayshia seems to be feeling pretty good about everyone who's left, but that doesn't mean there won't be some shocking moments ahead for us fans. So, let's take a look at what spoilers say about Tayshia's fantasy suite dates, finale, and all of the surprises to come!

Now, despite some disappointments for fans (and Tayshia!) last week, she has decided on her final three men, and they are: Brendan Morais, Ivan Hall, and Zac Clark. Tonight's episode will follow the fantasy suite dates, and, according to Reality Steve, the adventure will begin in earnest with...Tayshia talking about the men with a returning JoJo Fletcher. What? I mean, great! More of lie detector test expert JoJo is precisely what we all needed right now!

After their conversation, the dating begins with Tayshia and Ivan setting off to try and get the world record for the longest kiss in an ice bath. And, these crazy kids manage to nab that title. There's nothing like going down in the record books with someone you (probably) won't even speak with in a few days!

When it comes time for the evening portion of the festivities, Ivan breaks out his I-L-O-V-E-Y-O-U card, noting that he's falling in love with our Tayshia. She tells him that she's right there with him, and they enjoy some camera / microphone free time in their suite overnight. Of the guys left, I really like Ivan the most, but I just don't see her picking him in the end, do you?

Fantasy suite date number two is for Zac. During the day, Zac and Tayshia do some wild, messy, painting each other thing, which may have just served (as with the day date with Ivan) to get our lead and at least two of her dudes semi-dressed on camera one last time. That night, Zac proves, once again, that he knows what's up, and tells Tayshia he's in love with her, which I believe either slightly ups the ante from what he told her last week or (at the very least) reiterates his feelings.

As you might imagine, Tayshia is also on the love train with Zac, and she tells him that before they spend the night in the fantasy suite.

The last date was reserved for one of Tayshia's long-time favorites: Brendan. Tayshia and Brendan are forced to go ring shopping and look at other diamond treasures with one Mr. Neil Lane himself. I haven't even seen this yet, obviously, but I don't like it. The show has been playing up how badly Brendan really does not want to have another marriage end in divorce, so you know there's going to be a lot of awkward nervousness during this date for him.

You're probably wondering where all of the surprises I talked about will come in, and we get one during the night portion of Brendan's date. Apparently, the early rumors that he'd leave of his own accord will turn out to be true, as Brendan will tell Tayshia that he thought he was ready to become engaged, but he still feels broken from his own divorce, so he hits the road. I suspect there will be lots of tears, y'all.

We get another surprise guest the next day, when Rachel Lindsay shows up to talk over the Final 2 (Ivan and Zac) with Tayshia. Rachel says that getting this close to the end will, naturally, remind the lead of anyone they've let go but had real feelings for, which leads to Tayshia talking about Ben Smith. Remember Ben? Of course you do; many of you were heartbroken when Tayshia let him go last week.

Well, come one, come all, because that takes us right into the arms of Big Surprise Number 2. When Tayshia's getting ready for the rose ceremony to pick her one, perfect man...BEN SHOWS UP AT HER DOOR. Does anyone else feel faint?

Ben came with the goods this time, and he tells Tayshia that he is, in fact, in love with her. Then (Damn them!), the episode ends with her leaving the man on her couch while she goes to have a chitty chat with the producers.

I. Am. Exhausted. And, while I'm sure all of you are, too, the ride ain't over. According to Reality Steve, there with be no live After the Final Rose tomorrow, but he doesn't know if that's because of how things turned out or if it's just due to pandemic reasons. In addition, he has no clue how the season truly ends, though he's pretty sure that Ivan does not end up being Tayshia's man. Steve's intel before the season started said that Tayshia will choose Zac, but that they won't get engaged, so that might be true. If it does turn out that she picked Zac, Steve still has no idea if they're currently in couple-land or have already called it quits.

The events of this year have heavily affected the way movie and TV productions have gone about filming. Casts and crews have had to quarantine before the cameras officially rolled, testing and masks are required, and social distancing measures are in place. For the most part, the changes are barely noticeable to viewers. However, there is one specific change implemented during The Bachelorette Season 16 that host Chris Harrison thinks will stick around even after the pandemic is over.

During The Bachelorette’s Men Tell All episode, the number of returning contestants was cut in half. Rather than have all of the men from Clare Crawley and Tayshia Adams’ season appear, only some of them were invited to attend. The decision was largely due to COVID-19 restrictions, which doesn’t allow for large groups of people to be in one place. Chris Harrison actually loved having a smaller group for the episode. Here’s what he told ET:

Although Chris Harrison says that he would love to have the live audience back for the Tell Alls, it sounds like he’s fine filming the episodes with only half of the contestants in the future. Despite the smaller group who were invited to the Men Tell All, there was still plenty of drama thanks to Yosef Aborady.

In addition to the changes made to the Men Tell All episode of The Bachelorette, Tayshia Adams did not get a chance to visit the men’s hometowns. Rather, it was their family members who flew out to visit them at the filming location of the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs. Chris Harrison liked how that turned out, and is optimistic that the producers can keep this particular change in future seasons as well. Here’s what he had to say about it:

This year has certainly changed a lot of things (in our real lives and within the TV industry), but it seems The Bachelorette is adjusting nicely to the alterations to Season 16. With the circumstances driving the behind-the-scenes decisions, I think the series did the best it could do and it turned out pretty well.

The stakes were higher than ever for Tayshia Adams during her run on The Bachelorette heading into the hometowns episode that saw her meeting the families of her final four suitors: Zac Clark, Ivan Hall, Brendan Morais, and Ben Smith. Tayshia faced a difficult decision by the end, as none of these guys had been a source of major drama in the season, and she seemingly enjoyed meeting all of their families and going on the La Quinta versions of hometown dates. Sadly, though, she sent Ben home, and fans have thoughts.

Ben Smith has been memorable among Tayshia's suitors for a number of reasons, but particularly when he opened up about his mental health and past suicide attempts in 2018 and 2019. Tayshia herself didn't shy away from considering him a favorite, and it was just plain hard to root against Ben. Unfortunately, of her four remaining guys, Ben is the one who struggled with opening up and sharing his feelings, and that's what Tayshia needed this week.

What makes Ben's elimination extra heartbreaking is that it followed Ben having an emotional breakthrough and realizing that he's in love with Tayshia. He even wanted to tell her before they said goodnight after the hometown date, but he just couldn't do it. In a confessional, Ben described how he was feeling at the time, saying:

Ben wanted to tell Tayshia how he felt, Tayshia wanted Ben to tell her how he felt, and they were so close to getting on the same page... but the other three guys were making the kind of progress that Tayshia was looking for, and Ben was the odd man out. He didn't get a rose, and couldn't even bring himself to open up as she was walking him out and seemingly looking for reason to bend the rules and get him to stay. He just kept saying that he was going to be alright, but he made it clear in a car confessional that he still loves her.

Well, Ben may be alright, but I'm not sure that The Bachelorette fans can say the same after Tayshia made the heartbreaking decision to send him home! Take a look:

Ben may not have been breaking down in tears himself, but he certainly looked like he could use a hug after his realization that he was in love was followed by being sent home because he couldn't express himself. After that episode, maybe he needs a good cry to go with the hug.

Ben seemed like he was coming close, and he so clearly wanted to drop the big L-word on Tayshia, but viewers on the edges of their seats didn't get to see a confession. Honestly, I was at the point of wanting him to just pass her a note with a heart emoji drawn on if it could mean he'd stick around and get more time to talk himself into opening up. Poor Ben!

Personally, I was alright until he started repeating that he would be alright. As much as I want Ben to find the love he wants so much, I hope that he doesn't put himself through the Bachelor Nation process again. The spotlight might not be the place for him to process his emotions.

All the same, I can't blame Tayshia for deciding to send Ben home. The Bachelorette is her journey to find a husband, and she didn't know what was going on in his head and heart. She had no way of knowing that he was struggling to tell her that he's in love with her, so I can't fault her for keeping the guys who have given her what she needs over the guy who was barely reacting to her on the surface. I do wonder what her reaction will be now that the footage is airing, though.

Sadly, Ben did not tell Tayshia how he feels, and the men tell all special has already aired. Considering the pandemic protocols might mean that the usual "After the Final Rose" special might not be happening for Tayshia to face the men she eliminated again, we might not see them together again. While Tayshia may or may not end the season engaged to be married, the love story between Tayshia and Ben (such as it was) may be done for good.

Tayshia Adams' journey for love on The Bachelorette will end with a two-night finale, starting on Monday, December 21 and ending on Tuesday, December 22, both at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. Warning: Potential spoilers ahead for the hometown dates portion of Tayshia Adams season of The Bachelorette! Step away if you don't want to know about the final four drama!

Well, Bachelor Nation, we got here quick, didn't we? Not only are we already somehow at the hometown dates episode of Tayshia Adams Season 16 of The Bachelorette, but the finale will be next week, after only two more episodes (counting tonight). And, during the first hour of this week's Men Tell All episode, we saw Tayshia chose her final four: Ivan Hall, Brendan Morais, Ben Smith, and Zac Clark. But, it sounds like there were some big errors in the original spoiler reports about how things will go down, so let's dig into what we know!

First, let's backtrack and remind everyone of what Reality Steve said about Tayshia's final four back at the dawn of November. First off, he did get the actual men in her final four (who will have newfangled hometown dates tonight) correct, having gotten word that the exact men who will be left to meet Tayshia's family are the ones we saw chosen last night. Tayshia sent home Blake Moynes, Bennett Jordan, Riley Christian and Noah Erb, leaving us with the Ivan, Zac, Ben, and Brendan foursome.

But, Steve had said that there was bad news ahead for those who had Brendan in place as Tayshia's front-runner. His intel said that Brendan, whom Tayshia does clearly really like, would actually dump Tayshia, likely because he would realize that he's still not over his divorce, which was, supposedly, only finalized last year. The snippets we've seen of tonight's action do make it seem like Brendan is, in fact, having some trouble with the idea of proposing so quickly, but it turns out that he won't "self-eliminate," at least not before getting into her Top 3.

It was also rumored that Brendan's family wouldn't make the trip to hometowns in Palm Springs, but that's not true. Now, it looks like it's just his parents who decide not to come, with Brendan's brother, sister-in-law and niece showing up instead.

Reality Steve doesn't know right now what ends up happening with Brendan; whether Tayshia ends up sending him home or he does quit (or when, exactly, either of those things might happen). Seeing as how Brendan is now guaranteed a spot in the Top 3, you must know what that means: someone else will be eliminated! And, hold on to your roses, folks, because a lot of fans are about to be very, very upset.

Apparently, Tayshia will send a gentleman home after the hometowns, and that man is...Ben. I know! Everyone calm down, OK? She had to pick someone! Considering that we've also seen a clip that at least makes it seem like Ben isn't sure how strongly he feels about Tayshia right now (which might just be some tricky editing), that would be a very good reason for her to send the soul (and body)-bearing physical trainer packing. This will leave Zac, Ivan and Brendan for Tayshia's Top 3.

So, going into fantasy suites, we should have Ivan, Zac, and Brendan. This also means that the originally reported Final Two of Ben and Zac will not happen. But, remember, so far it's still thought that Tayshia will end up choosing Zac, but that they will be one of several franchise couples to leave their season without becoming engaged. Reality Steve is unsure right now if this is still the case, but we don't have much longer to wait to find out!

The Bachelorette will be back for two more episodes, including the finale, next Monday and Tuesday on ABC, at 8 p.m. EST! And, don't forget that The Bachelor begins Season 25 with Matt James shortly after, on Monday, January 4, also at 8 p.m. EST.

Those of us who've been following The Bachelorette in 2020 have been along for a truly wild ride, which is very representative of the craziness of this year. After all of the waiting just to get to see Season 16, we are now nearing the end of Tayshia Adams' journey to try and find love, and, because of that, we were treated to the show's famous Men Tell All installment last night, when the suitors she sent home return to talk about their experiences on the show. But, the setup for the episode was very different from in previous years, and host Chris Harrison is revealing why he thinks it was "better" without all of the men present.

Normally, when The Bachelorette films its Men Tell All episode (or when The Bachelor films its Women Tell All, for that matter), they go all out to make the event special so that it really stands apart from a typical episode. It's taped after production on the main season has finished, and everyone who was sent home by the lead comes back. There's an audience, a stage, and generally around 20 or more men on hand who can have their say. But, this time, we only saw eight of the guys who tried to woo Tayshia (plus one man who was sent home by Clare Crawley) return. As Chris Harrison told The Hollywood Reporter, though, he believes it made for a much better show, and noted:

Obviously, this year was a challenging one in which to film The Bachelorette, and those challenges continued as the producers were setting up the Men Tell All. Seeing as how it was taped after the season was done filming, this meant that everyone they brought back would have to quarantine again and get clear virus tests before being allowed on set. It was far easier for them to only bring back those who'd been sent away after having the most impactful / funny stories play out on camera, than to try and get the full cast of 35 men to return.

In addition, the MTA wasn't even filmed at the Palm Springs resort where Tayshia's season filmed, but at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Pennsylvania where they are currently still filming on Matt James' Season 25 of The Bachelor, which begins airing in early January. While I'm sure Chris Harrison and the producers would love to get back to filming the MTA in front of a live audience, it's not the lack of that aspect that Harrison thinks will become a staple going forward. Instead, he points to the "intimate" nature of their only being a few men involved, and he makes a good point about that.

As it was, the arguing and in-fighting got pretty loud and ridiculous with only eight of Tayshia's men returning. It would have been positively insane to have roughly 30 dudes sitting around and yelling at each other. Or, have that many men in attendance when only a few really had stories we actually wanted to hear more about. Every MTA has several former suitors who get all dressed up and come out to basically just sit around and look pretty for an hour or so. It was much better to hear something from everyone who was brought back, and I do hope they arrange future Men Tell All / Women Tell All episodes like that in coming seasons.

The Bachelorette Season 16 went full-steam ahead with its Men Tell All episode, revisiting past moments from early on in the season's run, when former Bachelorette Clare Crowley was the main focus ahead of Tayshia Adams’ arrival. When one particularly contentious incident from earlier in Season 16 was brought up during the telecast, it made Crowley wish she’d been allowed to attend the Men Tell All event.

Here’s what happened. In an October episode of The Bachelorette Season 16, contestant Yosef Aborady expressed being appalled and humiliated about the strip dodgeball date (which he was not a part of) and accused Clare Crowley of not setting a good example for his daughter. That conversation escalated into a fight that caused Clare to walk away from Yosef once he kept interrupting her as she tried to say her piece.

During the Men Tell All episode of The Bachelorette's latest season, the incident was brought up again, and Yosef Aborady still had no regrets about what he said or how he handled the situation with Clare Crowley. He went on to say that if his daughter went on a date that included strip dodgeball, Yosef would have wanted someone to call her out on it, too. The rest of the contestants took Yosef to task and even host Chris Harrison jumped in to offer Yosef some advice (that he of course didn’t listen to). Though Clare wasn’t in attendance to defend herself, she took to Twitter to thank the rest of the men for defending her. Here’s what she wrote:

The Bachelorette Season 16 has featured its fair share of drama, but that strip dodgeball date was a definite point of contention for some viewers, as well as former Bachelor Ben Higgins, who argued that there was a “double standard” on The Bachelorette. In his mind, there was no way that a season of The Bachelor would allow the female contestants to strip down to their underwear without it being considered a major issue.

In her defense, Clare Crowley has implied that the strip dodgeball game was not her idea, and she has liked tweets speculating that the producers were actually the ones who wanted that particular date to happen on The Bachelorette. Either way, I think we can all agree that the way Yosef Aborady spoke to Clare and his lack of remorse for the way he handled the situation isn’t the greatest look. But, hey, at least she knows the rest of the guys have her back.

Wow. Season 16 of The Bachelorette has continued to surprise in some major ways as we head into the final few episodes, right? We've gotten to know more about some intriguing dudes, lost some favorites who didn't really get a full chance to shine, and seen Tayshia have some big, important conversations that have changed the franchise as a whole for the better. But! We still have tonight's episode to think about, so let's dive into what we're hearing might go down.

Alright, the biggest of big deals from last week was that cliffhanger with Bennett Jordan and Noah Erb. There has been major drama building between the two, with Bennett heading toward the end of last week's episode looking like a true villain. He "gifted" our friend, "young Noah," with a really condescending set of presents, right before Tayshia walked in to begin trying to get to the bottom of the rift between them on their 2-on-1 date.

Who knows right now how Bennett responds after Tayshia asks, "What's in the box?" but she will, apparently, not enjoy his answer. Reality Steve says that she eliminates the loafer-wearing lout, and opts to give the mustache-less Noah yet another rose. This should immediately send Bennett packing, but according to the intel, the very end of the episode will see Tayshia return to her room from the episode's group date, and finding Bennett there wanting to talk. She agrees, he drops the "I love you" bomb and Tayshia tells him she needs time so she can think about it. WHAT?!

OK, back to the main part of the episode. After the 2-on-1 date, we'll get the rose ceremony that was delayed last week. Tayshia puts three men in an SUV bound for the airport, and sends home Demar Jackson, Ed Waisbrot, and former true contender Spencer Robertson. Then, JoJo Fletcher comes in to let the remaining men know that next week is already Hometowns (!!!!!!), and anyone who gets a rose from here on out will be granted said visit with family.

Ben Smith is granted a 1-on-1 date with Tayshia next, and this is where we get our first major revelation of the night. Ben has already, almost literally, shown Tayshia all of himself physically, and now he's opening up even more emotionally. We heard last week about his long battle with eating disorders, and tonight will see him talk to Tayshia about how close he is to his sister. But, Ben also spills that he broke his back while in the Army, and hit a very difficult low while trying to rebuild his life. That led to Ben attempting suicide twice, in 2018 and in 2019, but he noted that his sister was always there for him.

As you might imagine, Tayshia gives Ben the date rose, meaning he'll be getting a Hometown date next week.

Phew! Man, these intense conversations are difficult, but something which I hope becomes a new trend for the franchise. And, we get some more of it in this episode, because the group date involves hooking the men up so they can do a lie detector test. This date includes five men: Zac Clark, Brendan Morais, Ivan Hall, Noah Erb, and Riley Christian. And, yes, it's possible I put them in the order I believe Tayshia would put them in at the time she went on this group date.

Here's what happens. JoJo is tagging along for this date to assist with detecting lies, so she asks Riley what his name is (I believe they like to establish a baseline reading for when you tell the truth). But, when our man says "Riley," it shows up as being a lie! Later, he explains the situation to Tayshia, noting that the drama with his parents (which we heard about last week) goes even deeper.

At birth, he was named after his dad, Dwayne Henderson Jr., but upon getting older and finding out more about him, as well as reconnecting with his mom, he decided to legally change his name to Devon Riley Christian. Wow. These men have led some lives, OK?

If you think Tayshia immediately gives Riley the rose for this revelation, she does not. Instead, she decides not to give any group date rose, because she needs more time to think on her choices before Hometowns. And, then we get Bennett's sudden reappearance, which closes out the episode.

Tayshia Adams' Season 16 of The Bachelorette is moving right along, folks! She has some clear early favorites, has already had to tell off the entire group of guys and gave us one of the most emotionally satisfying conversations ever held in the franchise last week. So, what's coming up for Tayshia and her (still) many men as we get into Episode 8? Let's get to those spoilers!

As usual, Reality Steve has the (supposed) inside line on all the big events that will go down on tonight's show. Now, one of Tayshia's main men since her arrival has been Zac Clark, and we'll start tonight off with a 1-on-1 date with the addiction specialist. Apparently, someone thought that, after one of last week's group dates included fake proposals to Tayshia, that it would be a great idea to make her and Zac do a wedding photoshoot. You know, for two divorced people who are not, currently, planning to marry each other. Oh, well. Bachelorette is always gonna Bachelorette, I guess.

At any rate, photos from the episode make it look like this portion of the date is plenty of fun for both of them, and that's good, because things will, once again get very deep when Zac and Tayshia head into the evening portion of their meeting. Zac is finally going to open up about how bad things got for him while he was actively using drugs and alcohol, and if he tells her even half of the info which was revealed about his journey to recovery previously, it will be intriguing to see how the conversation goes. 

Tayshia is all about the guys opening up to her, and, just last week, had told Zac he didn't seem to be doing so well with that (which he attributed to being nervous around her), so she does give him the rose.

Then, we get a group date with Blake Moynes, Demar Jackson, Ben Smith, Bennett Jordan, Brendan Morais, Spencer Robertson, Ed Waisbrot, Ivan Hall, Noah Erb, and Riley Christian all gathering to...paint nude models. You know, because this show can't let us forget that people have parts under their clothes. The men are also tasked with finding a way to open up about themselves when they do some creative self portraits, and I just hope no one (I'm looking at you Bennett) decides to just paint themselves naked or something. Ben manages to ace this competition, and gets the group date rose.

The next 1-on-1 date goes to Eazy Nwachukwu, and it sounds like it will not go so...easy for him. After doing some Palm Springs resort-set ghost hunting (What?!), he announces at dinner with Tayshia that he's falling in love with her. I don't think they've even had a 1-on-1 before, but, at the very least, we know Tayshia is not feeling the same, at all, does not give him the date rose, and he's sent home.

Now, among all of the drama we've already had this season, I know everyone has been wondering when JoJo Fletcher will step in to take over for Chris Harrison by doing temporary hosting duties. Well, tonight is the night, and one of her first official jobs will be to tell everyone that the cocktail party will only happen after Tayshia can figure out what's going on between Bennett and Noah. She'll then take a trip to speak to each dude, and set up an impromptu 2-on-1 date with them and Tayshia. 

The episode will end leaving us to wonder whom she chooses, but Reality Steve's intel says that Bennett will be sent packing, while Noah gets the date rose.

Generally, we proud members of Bachelor Nation know what we're going to be in for when we tune in to an episode of The Bachelorette. We know there's going to be some silly fun, someone will probably be called out for being on the show "for the wrong reasons," there will absolutely be some back-stabbing / in-fighting among the men, and we can count on at least a few tears from somebody. What we don't expect, though, are real conversations about race or being black in America, but, last night, Tayshia Adams and Ivan Hall brought us exactly that during their emotional and candid date, and the internet has a lot of thoughts about it.

After a group date that saw Ivan win a contest where the guys had to write and perform a love song for Tayshia, he was gifted a 1-on-1 date with her. While the first portion of that date just included some fun board games and home movies, the conversation portion of the evening got very deep, very quickly. Ivan opened up to Tayshia about his younger brother, who spent four years in prison because of his substance abuse issues.

Then, they began talking about the Black Lives Matter movement and how it's impacted them this year, with both of them being biracial. They each have black fathers; Ivan's mother is Filipino, Tayshia's mom is Mexican. Ivan also shared that because of his brother's time in prison, and knowing about his experience with police brutality while he was behind bars, he's had a different view of things since the murder of George Floyd and the protests this year. And, Bachelor Nation took to Twitter with some very supportive takes on this, first ever, deep look at race on a Bachelor franchise show:

Oh, yes! Truer words may have been spoken, but probably not when it comes to the Bachelor franchise and discussions about race in this country. As this tweet pointed out, The Bachelorette is now showing us only the second BIPOC lead in the 18 year, 40 season history of the entire franchise. After the groundswell of support for Black Lives Matter earlier this year, many fans (and former cast members) in Bachelor Nation began to seriously take the producers and ABC to task for not being willing to diversify the leads, and for still having mostly white casts season after season.

This is not a show that has been open to conversations about race, mostly because the topic rarely comes up when you have white leads talking to mostly white casts every season. The only example that could come close to what we saw with Tayshia and Ivan, would be during Peter Weber's recent Bachelor season, when Sydney Hightower spoke about being bullied and ostracized at her Alabama schools for being biracial. But, even then, we didn't get the depth of conversation which came from these two last night.

I'm sure we all hope that The Bachelorette airing this conversation between Tayshia and Ivan, as well as us getting our very first black Bachelor in January with Matt James as he leads Season 25, will be a sign of lasting change and a commitment to growth for the franchise. But, almost just as important, I think we'll all be eager to tune in next week and see where all of this openness leaves Tayshia's feelings for Ivan, right?

I mean, who can watch an adorable man like Ivan plumb the depths of his feelings like he did on that date (he even cried, y'all!) and not be...touched.

Well, Bachelor Nation. We are certainly working our way through Tayshia Adams' time as lead of The Bachelorette, aren't we? While we think we know how the season will wrap for the lovely lady with those "big-ass eyes," we still have a ways to go until we get there. So, let's take a look at some of what might happen on tonight's new episode, which will involve an emotional 1-on-1 date, suitor eliminations, and much more.

Alright, according to Reality Steve, tonight's episode will get things going right with a group date, said to feature seven of Tayshia's men: Ivan Hall, Bennett Jordan, Demar Jackson, Blake Moynes, Kenny Braasch, Riley Christian, and Zac Clark. This particular event will call for the dude-bros to write and perform a love song for Tayshia, which will be just as cringe-worthy as you're probably imagining, seeing as how, apparently, none of these gentlemen are actually gifted in those areas. But! Never fear, because this does not mean that Tayshia will be left without a group date winner. That title will go to Ivan, and he'll score the 1-on-1 date as a result.

Now, it will be this intimate date which takes a turn for the emotional, when Ivan begins to tell Tayshia about his younger brother, who went to prison for four years right after his child was born, and could only see the growing baby while locked up. That portion of the conversation was already pretty deep, but Tayshia will open up more about being biracial and growing up in Orange County, where she did not see a lot of other kids who looked like her, and, according to Steve, she's going to have a bit of a break down when discussing it.

Tayshia and Ivan will also talk about the Black Lives Matter movement, and how it's impacted them, while on their date. All of these heavy reveals will likely help to bring Tayshia and Ivan closer, and he will, in fact, be rewarded for opening up and be given the group date rose. The next day will bring another group date, with all the same guys in attendance besides Ivan. This extravaganza will have two distinct portions. Yay! During the day, the guys will be forced to take part in Fear Factor style "dare" challenges like eating bugs and other things I wouldn't do for any amount of true love on Earth.

After the sun sets, the nighttime date turns into "truth" central, with the man each getting some much needed alone time with Tayshia. And, I can only hope she doesn't emotionally eviscerate any of them like Clare Crawley did to poor Jason Foster back at the beginning of this season. At any rate, we all know that Tayshia has the hots for Grown Ass Man Of The Year nominee Zac, and he will come away with the rose for his efforts during this group date.

So, you may remember how Ben Smith (who made an impressive showing for himself last week...up until the end when he didn't go find Tayshia to make sure he had time with her during the cocktail party) had to sit through Tayshia's verbal public drubbing when he tried to get time after it had already been a long day? It sounds like they will hash things out and be cool once more. Meanwhile, animatronic baby doll parent Ed Waisbrot will attempt to locate Tayshia, knock on the wrong door, and end up enjoying a lovely glass of wine with...Chris Harrison. Oh, Ed. Quit while you're...not ahead.

Noah Erb will be back on screen without his manstache, as he'll talk to Tayshia at the cocktail party and reveal that some of his fellow suitors are being less than kind to him, because he was given the wrestling date rose after, you know, not officially being on that group date. This leads to Tayshia having a chat with the lads, and as Steve puts it, she "kinda goes off."

Now, for this week's rose ceremony, we'll be losing four lovely faces. Hold on to your butts, because Kenny, Joe Park (NOOOOOOO!), Jordan Chapman and villain-for-one-week Chasen Nick are all sent packing.

You guys? I'm actually sorta exhausted thinking about all that will happen on this week's episode of The Bachelorette, but it's the good kind of exhaustion that leads to lots of chocolate-eating and snarky commentary!

Bachelor Nation! Tayshia Adams is now going into her second week as our official star of The Bachelorette, and with no more of Clare Crawley and Dale Moss hanging around the Palm Springs resort, we can finally focus all of our attention on the new lovely lady in charge. Tayshia is a benevolent leader, so she decided to forgo the rose ceremony when she first arrived, in order to get to know her suitors better. But, now a new day has dawned, and it's time for her to send some dudes home, and we've got spoilers on that, some contestant feuding and more!

Alright, so according to Reality Steve, tonight's episode begins with the group date we saw teased last week, a little something that will apparently be called the "Grown Ass Man Challenge." The gents will compete in challenges which someone deems appropriate for determining who among them is truly a "grown ass man," and these include serving Tayshia breakfast in bed, winning tug of war, and proving you went to school at least a little by doing math and spelling words.

Our Harvard-boasting, preppy king Bennett Jordan turns out to be not so good at the spelling and math side of things, but must rock out hard on the other challenges, because he comes away with the Grown Ass Man Award, while also-ran Ed Waisbrot manages to whiff the whole thing. Ed is given the Man Child Award and then tasked with carrying around a baby doll until, well, we're not sure. Until the Palm Springs heat melts it onto his hands, I suppose. But, neither of them come out on top, as Ivan Hall nabs that group date rose in the end.

At any rate, the group date after party leads to some beef between the guys, with Ed and Chasen Nick getting into it. As Reality Steve reports, Ed feels as though Chasen isn't there for the right reasons (So, not to become an influencer, I guess?), and calls him a load of bad names, noting how he thinks Chasen is also simply repeating things to Tayshia which he'd already said to Clare. This continues into the pre-rose ceremony cocktail party, with Tayshia having to pull Chasen aside and him admitting that he may have been "too aggressive."

Then, we get our first official Tayshia rose ceremony, and she sends home two of the men who were added right after she arrived to look the guys over: Peter Giannikopoulos and Montel Hill. Nice knowing ya, boys! The night's events aren't over yet, as we've got another group date on tap, with the suitors getting some training from women in UFC and the WWE so that they can have actual, oiled-up matches against one another, and will serve as yet another opportunity to get the menfolk in their skivvies (or, nearly so) this season.

Can you guess who's included on this date? That's right! Chasen and Ed are both here, and Mr. Nick is pretty good at this, because he wins every match until he finally comes up against his new nemesis, Ed. But! Ed claims he dislocated his shoulder and can't engage in any fisticuffs, so with the other guys who aren't on the date watching, Noah "The Mustache" Erb steps up to the plate from the audience.

Now, even though Chasen beats Noah, all the guys who were on the date get pissy because Noah wasn't really invited to this party, and lost, but he still managed to get the attention of our fair Tayshia. To make matters worse, she even lets him attend the group date after party, and then gives him the group date rose. All of which, I can only assume, will mean that Noah will be on everyone's shit list for at least one more episode.

Tayshia Adams has only just made her debut as the second Bachelorette leading lady of Season 16, but she already has a frontrunner, and now new rumors indicate that she may be in for a blast from the past with a visit from her ex-husband. The rumors started after an eagle-eyed fan on TikTok noticed something peculiar in official ABC subtitles, and the situation snowballed from there. Here's what we know.

TikTok user bigmoodbayley caught something unexpected while watching a promo for Tayshia's season of The Bachelorette, posted on the official Bachelorette Twitter account. While the audio was mostly voiceovers proving that a whole lot of drama is on the way (as per usual in Bachelor Nation), the subtitles attributed one quote to somebody named Josh Bourelle, who is none other than Tayshia's ex-husband. The voiceover credited to Bourelle said "It's only a matter of time before she realizes the truth."

Does this mean that Josh Bourelle is going to show up on The Bachelorette to create a mess for Tayshia Adams? There's no question that the arrival of her ex would result in some emotions running high. During her one-on-one date with Brendan Morais in the latest episode, Tayshia admitted that she had been married before, and she lost herself in her marriage. She also said that there was infidelity "and other issues" on her ex's part. That said, we shouldn't be too hasty in assuming that Bourelle really is going to make an appearance, subtitles aside.

Spoiler guru Reality Steve addressed the rumors that Josh Bourelle is going to appear on The Bachelorette via Instagram Live, and he couldn't confirm or deny that Bourelle shows up. While that might seem like a thin argument that Bourelle's appearance isn't a sure thing, it's worth noting that Reality Steve is a top source for very reliable Bachelor Nation spoilers, and Bourelle showing up would be a big deal. It seems like something Reality Steve would have known about and spoiled. He hasn't held back from dropping big reveals in the past.

Besides, assuming that Josh Bourelle will appear based on Twitter video subtitles isn't the strongest case either, even if it is compelling. Fans may just have to wait for confirmation. Considering how long ABC took to even officially confirm Tayshia coming into replace Clare Crawley despite that twist being spoiled months before The Bachelorette Season 16 premiered, I'm guessing that fans are in for a wait unless Reality Steve comes up with an answer.

Personally, I'm actually leaning toward Josh Bourelle showing up, since the subtitle seems like it could have been footage pulled from an episode that had already been completed and captioned, with the unlucky promo editor accidentally leaving the name in. As for Reality Steve not having any information, it's possible that Bourelle could appear via Zoom video, so the spoiler guru wouldn't have missed anything about Bourelle arriving or leaving. That said, I'm hoping that Bourelle won't show up, just for Tayshia's sake. She might already be in for some major heartbreak without her ex in the mix!

The Bachelorette has made the official switch from Clare Crawley to Tayshia Adams, although not without devoting a chunk of the two-hour episode to checking in with Clare and Dale Moss. Clare and Dale seem to be enjoying a happily-ever-after despite their whirlwind romance resulting in a ring on her finger very quickly, while Tayshia's search for love is only just beginning. Still, like Clare, Tayshia seems to have settled on a clear frontrunner among the men early on, but that doesn't necessarily mean that she and Brendan Morais are heading for their own happy ending. Here are some reasons why.

Although Tayshia didn't name Brendan as her future husband as soon as she laid eyes on him like Clare did with Dale, and Brendan didn't even get the first impression rose, he's the clear favorite after Tayshia's first episode as leading lady of The Bachelorette. He was her first one-on-one date, which started with a romantic horseback ride. His emotional confession about his former marriage didn't scare Tayshia away. On the contrary, it motivated Tayshia to open up about her own former marriage, and the date ended with literal fireworks while they made out. Should Tayshia start readying her left hand for an engagement ring?

Not necessarily, in the grand scheme of things. The Bachelorette's big switch from Clare to Tayshia was spoiled months before Season 16 even premiered, so I think it's safe to say that fans aren't in for another switcheroo of a third Bachelorette showing up for this crop of guys. We would have known by now if Bachelor Nation had to call in another replacement!

All signs point toward Tayshia finishing the full season, aside from the early episodes of Clare focusing on Dale before ABC officially confirmed the widely-reported switch. Fans can get excited about Tayshia and Brendan, but probably shouldn't expect sunshine and rainbows followed by Tayshia and Brendon running off into the sunset in just a few more weeks. There are still lots of other guys in the running for her heart.

As for what spoilers suggest for Tayshia Adams' and Brendan Morais' future, Reality Steve teases a journey that doesn't end with Tayshia and Brendan happily-ever-after. Spoilers indicate that Brendan will be one of Tayshia's final four, although his family won't travel to La Quinta Resort & Club to participate in Season 16's pandemic version of hometown dates.

According to spoilers, Brendan will decide to leave himself due to lingering feelings about his divorce, which was allegedly finalized just over a year ago. Sadly, Tayshia reportedly had her heart set on Brendan, and she wound up choosing a different guy at the end even though Brendan was the one she really wanted. She doesn't wind up engaged at all. Of course, nothing is certain until it happens on screen, and even spoilers can be wrong. In fact, spoilers have been fewer and farther between when it comes to Season 16 thanks to filming taking solely at the La Quinta resort rather than all over the world with extravagent dates in beautiful locations. Wow. Guys? Tayshia Adams is finally our Season 16 star of The Bachelorette! And, tonight will see her begin to interact with her new menfolk, who happen to be Clare Crawley's old sorta-menfolk, but it promises to be a scintillating, smile and tear-filled journey toward (possible) forever love! We've already been able to share some potential spoilers about who Miss Tayshia will end up with at the end of this pandemic dating road, but now there's more info on the men she'll be choosing from and how her (far too short) season might play out.

I know what you'll already thinking, "What do you mean, Tayshia's men? You just said her men are Clare's old men." And, I realize that. Look, this season has been a mass of confusion from Day 1, alright? At any rate, one of the major questions many in Bachelor Nation have had about this season is how many suitors Tayshia will have and whether or not the show will bring in more men for her, because leads typically get to choose from 25 to 30 potentials.

As is obvious, Tayshia is not going to have a full season, so it makes more sense to let her begin with fewer hotties to date. But, according to Reality Steve, there is some good news on the way for those who feel as though Tayshia is being given the short end of the man stick. (I'm not even sure if that's a pun or not, so do with it what you will!) Apparently, the producers will, in fact, bring in more dudes for her to examine, and it's going to happen soon.

Tonight will bring fans Episode 5, and Tayshia will be talking to the 16 men who were left after Clare Daled. (Like bailed. That one was a pun, you guys. Stay with me, here.) But, later in the episode, and I'm guessing this will happen at some point after Chris Harrison tells Tayshia that everything's about to change, the show will bring in another four men-types for our new leading lady! This means that she gets a larger slate of 20 bros, and everyone will meet newcomers Spencer Robertson, Montel Hill, Peter Giannikopoulos, and Noah Erb by the end of the episode.

And, good for Tayshia, too, because she will be quite taken with Mr. Robertson, and give him her first impression rose. The group date is said to lead to a bit of drama between Spencer and Riley, with the group date rose going to Eazy. Later, Tayshia will have her first 1-on-1 date with Brendan, which goes very well, and Tayshia will also give him a rose.

Now, a much bigger question we still have is how much time we'll spend with Tayshia as she looks for love. As I said, she's got fewer men to makeout with, so it would take less time, anyway. But, as Reality Steve points out, that will still mean that her part of the season will be sped up to an unbelievable degree. This is in part because Tayshia won't send anyone at all home during Episode 5, because she wants more time to get to know all of them better.

The finale and After the Final Rose is still set for December 22, meaning we have, at most, six episodes for Tayshia to go from 20 men, down to her chosen ONE. And, I'm saying "at most," because if we get the Men Tell All as its own standalone episode, that will only leave us with five episodes for all of the dates, rose ceremonies, faux hometowns, and all important fantasy suites.

Steve also pointed out that in a normal season, going from the final four choices to one person takes a whopping three episodes. So, either they will announce at some point that we'll get two episodes in one (or more) of the upcoming weeks, or each episode past this week's will have two (or more?) rose ceremonies.

At any rate, I'm already wishing Tayshia got her own, full, normal season of The Bachelorette, but we can all tune in at 8 p.m. EST, to ABC, every Tuesday to see how this all plays out!

For months, The Bachelorette has been rocking with rumors that Tayshia Adams would replace Clare Crawley as Season 16’s titular Bachelorette and, now, that time has arrived. Crawley has exited stage left after finding love with bachelor Dale Moss, and Adams is finally taking center stage in search of her forever love. Now, that she's stepping into the spotlight, Adams is sharing why she's glad she did not research the men before becoming Bachelorette.

First, it's time to get into some quick backstory. It was previously reported that due to the coronavirus, The Bachelorette might have to recast the original bachelors. Then some of the guys were reportedly cut for being too young for the 39-year-old Clare Crawley. With the situation having changed a bit, Tayshia Adams explained why she's thrilled she did not take a deep dive into the men vying for her heart, telling E!:

So Tayshia Adams did take a peek into Clare Crawley’s bachelors when they were initially announced, but she didn't say whether or not she was impressed with them. So it would appear that Adams had a first-hand experience with the men, which can be a bit of a crap shoot. Still, Adams said it was nice to get to know the guys without all of The Bachelorette spoiler-laden context that comes with taking a look at the contestants’ bios. Of course, Tayshia Adams’ arrival also means that the only bachelor she won't get to meet is Dale Moss.

Given the unusual circumstances, it's hard to say what might happen this season. While spoilers are already flying about who Adams ends up giving her final rose to, fans will have to keep watching to see if things actually unfold in the manner they've been reported.

For her part, it does not sound as though Tayshia Adams went in with a preconceived idea of who she would pick. The process of The Bachelorette apparently played out on screen, with Adams getting to know each guy in the flesh without letting any bios chart her course. So you can expect all of those burning questions to be solved in due time.

Overall, it would seem that Tayshia Adams understandably has no regrets about diving into her season of The Bachelorette without any deep foreknowledge of those vying for her affection. There's really nothing like meeting someone in person and grappling with their personalities, right? It's certainly an interesting strategy that fans will most definitely be watching closely, as Adams' quest for eternal love is only just beginning to play out on the screen.

Tayshia first stole hearts last year on Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor, then moved on to give us a lot of drama on that year's showing of Bachelor in Paradise. As we all know, though, producers could have easily chosen any of a dozen (or more) women to pick up leading lady duties after Clare found her (possibly) forever love, even if they had just mined the casts from Colton's season or Peter Weber's early 2020 season. Now, ABC's senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late-night programming, Rob Mills, has spoken out about why they all thought that Tayshia was the new Season 16 lead we all needed, telling Variety:

You'll probably recall that one of the major deals made about Clare being chosen for The Bachelorette (both before her season started and as we saw her time play out on screen) is that she's the oldest of the bunch so far. After Peter's season, fans had clamored for someone with more maturity to come in as Bachelorette, and the show managed to give us Clare, who turned 39 a few months before they filmed her part of the 2020 season.

Of course, age doesn't always equal maturity, but Rob Mills is saying that everyone involved in the decision to cast Tayshia (who's a decade Clare's junior) believed that she would also offer up the maturity that fans seemed to be looking for in their new Bachelorette. He also noted that because Clare was already announced rather late in the Bachelorette game, that many of the guys who were cast might have been hoping that someone else was going to be chosen anyway, so Tayshia seemed like a good fit to help them forget Clare and be able to become emotionally attached (hopefully) to someone else quickly.

Of course, Tayshia's journey is just getting started, so we can all see how it turns out (and if the rumors of her final rose pick are true) as The Bachelorette continues to air, Tuesdays on ABC at 8 p.m. EST. Clare Crawley's journey as leading lady of The Bachelorette has come to an end after only four episodes, when the Bachelor Nation veteran chose to leave with Dale Moss rather than continue with the full group of guys. Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise alum Tayshia Adams stepped in to lead the search for love, and now she has her pick of the guys that Clare left behind. Although Tayshia only just arrived at the resort, spoilers have already leaked to reveal who receives her final rose, but it's going to be a complicated ride.

Spoilers have been fewer and farther between than usual for this season of The Bachelorette due to COVID-19 restrictions preventing the show from traveling all over the world for public dates, but spoiler guru Reality Steve reportedly already has the scoop on Tayshia's final four guys leading to her final rose. He reports that the competition to win Tayshia's heart will come down to Ivan Hall, Zac Clark, Brendan Morais, and Ben Smith.

According to Reality Steve, Tayshia sets her heart on Brendan, but the course of true love for them doesn't run smooth. Or keep running, apparently. Brendan reportedly leaves The Bachelorette on his own without being eliminated, after his family did not travel to participate in hometown dates, pandemic-style at La Quinta Resort & Club in California.

Brendan's divorce, which was finalized a little over a year previously, allegedly contributed to why he decided to leave. Reality Steve isn't clear on whether Brendan makes it to the final three despite his family not showing up for hometown dates. Brendan and Ivan Hall will be cut before the final two is narrowed down to Zac Clark and Ben Smith. Reality Steve says that Tayshia gave her final rose to Zac, but they'll join the ranks of other Bachelor Nation couples who ended a season together without getting engaged.

Reality Steve attributes Tayshia picking Zac to him professing his love and opening up to her more than Ben. Their status following the final rose isn't clear at this point, despite filming completing back in August and the Bachelor Nation crew moving on to Matt James' season of The Bachelor. The spoiler guru has heard conflicting reports that they're together, not together, or doomed to fail because of their differences. The same pandemic protocols that prevented spoiler pics from hitting the web are presumably part of why it's difficult to confirm Tayshia's relationship status.

While other Bachelor Nation leads have had their endings spoiled by social media, that hasn't been the case with Tayshia. Clare Crawley was spotted with a gigantic diamond ring prior to the November 5 episode that confirmed her decision to leave early with Dale Moss, but she explained it away as something other than an engagement ring.

Clare and Dale took to Instagram following the episode to reveal that they're still together after more than three months, and Clare showed off her massive engagement ring. Short of Tayshia opening up on social media, fans may just have to wait for The Bachelorette to make the reveal (or new spoilers to leak).

The Bachelor franchise has a long-standing tradition of including Tell All episodes for each respective season where the cast is reunited before the final rose is handed out. These installments are stereotypically ripe with drama, too, since there is usually a lot to air out between the cast members. However, The Bachelorette Season 16, like all TV shows, has been filming under strict COVID-19 restrictions. Despite the current situation and the risks involved with in-person groupings, host Chris Harrison says he doesn’t want to just have a virtual tell-all for Season 16.

The Bachelorette Season 16 has been one of the most talked about seasons of the series thus far. The drama actually started well before the show premiered, incited by Bachelorette Clare Crawley departing the production two weeks into filming, allegedly to be with contestant Dale Moss. She was quickly replaced by Bachelor Nation vet Tayshia Adams, so there’s definitely plenty to discuss when the Men Tell All episode does come around. Currently, Chris Harrison says the production is trying to bring viewers a semblance of normalcy with the upcoming tell-all, rather than falling back and relying on a virtual episode. Here’s what he told ET:

Hey now, I don’t think all the talk shows look bad being virtual. We’re currently in the midst of a global pandemic and the shift to less-populated formats is warranted, as well as being the safest route to go. That said, I agree that it’s more engaging to watch when everyone is there in person in person, and it might not have quite the same impact to watch The Bachelorette’s men speaking to each other about the events of the season through computer and mobile screens.

The Bachelorette quarantined its cast members in a Palm Springs resort starting in in mid-July so that they could film the show with all the proper safety protocols and guidelines in place. However, having all the contestants back in a studio might pose some additional safety issues that will have to get sorted out beforehand, though Chris Harrison wasn’t clear on what would need to be done to make it happen.

The Bachelorette’s Season 16 has only been airing for three weeks now, but there’s already so much going on. Chris Harrison went on to tease what’s in store for Episode 4, which he described as “even more incredible” than what has already transpired this season. He also believes the episodes from weeks three and four will go down in The Bachelorette’s history, presumably due to Tayshia Adams' inclusion. That tell-all can’t come soon enough!

Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette has been surrounded by melodrama since before it even premiered, and not entirely due to the delayed production that held the premiere until October. Rumors circulated that Clare was going to settle on Dale Moss early in the season, resulting in an unprecedented Bachelorette swap with none other than Bachelor Nation alum Tayshia Adams stepping into the spotlight. Read on for a look at the major twists that may be on the way, according to current spoilers!

The Bachelorette is barely into Clare's season, with only two rose ceremonies under her belt so far, but spoiler guru Reality Steve reports that her time is almost at an end, and she won't be distributing roses again as Bachelorette. Yosef Aborady, who was one of the most vocal bachelors protesting the strip dodgeball date (that he wasn't even part of), apparently won't have a shot at love with Tayshia Adams when he drops some harsh words on Clare and is sent home. The second rose ceremony will reportedly see the departures of Garin Flowers, Tyler Smith, and Blake Monar.

Unsurprisingly, Reality Steve states that Clare will spend more time with Dale Moss moving forward, which isn't going to sit well with the rest of the guys who have had to watch her favor him from almost the very beginning of the season. After a bad one-on-one date with Zach Jackson and a roast that doesn't result in diverting Clare from Dale, Clare would normally be heading toward her third rose ceremony, and this is where things start to get really juicy, based on available spoilers so far.

Reality Steve now claims that she never gets to her third at all, meaning that the next Bachelorette rose ceremony of Season 16 will be Tayshia's. The next episode will finally reveal the context of Chris Harrison's much-hyped statement to Clare that she's "blown up the Bachelorette," which has played so often in Bachelorette promos that I think it qualifies as Clare's version of Colton Underwood jumping the fence during his season of The Bachelor. Before the end of next week's episode, The Bachelorette will reportedly make the long-expected switch from Clare Crawley to Tayshia Adams.

It's not clear at this point how much of Tayshia will be featured in the upcoming episode. Clare already seems pretty fixed on Dale, so I'm not sure how much longer the rest of the guys will stand for her clear preference. That's not to say that I'm expecting Tayshia's first rose ceremony to happen next week, but it's entirely possible that things will move quickly as Clare's time on the show comes to an end. Then again, this season has been pretty unpredictable from the start, so who knows? Even Reality Steve has been wrong before.

The Bachelorette is missing its usual Tuesday night release next week due to the 2020 election coverage that will dominate the network TV lineup on November 3, but ABC will still release a new episode. After waiting for many long months and dealing with one unexpected delay after another, we are finally just a few days away from the Season 16 premiere of The Bachelorette! As I'm sure absolutely all of Bachelor Nation has heard by now, not only will the new season be giving franchise veteran Clare Crawley her fifth chance at finding her forever love on television, but (reportedly) Tayshia Adams will also (supposedly) be stepping in to take over the Bachelorette reins once Clare (allegedly) discovers the hot man for her among all of the suitors chosen for this season.

If you've been paying any attention at all to news about The Bachelorette lately, then you know that there seems to be a lot of upheaval which went on when they finally had the opportunity to film Season 16. If you're like me (and former Bachelor Nick Viall, for that matter) you probably have a ton of questions about what we're actually going to see when the show premieres on Tuesday, October 13. So, let's go ahead and break down the six major questions we still have about Clare Crawley's and Tayshia Adams' Season 16 of The Bachelorette!

Is ABC Really Never Going To Confirm That Tayshia Is Also The Bachelorette In Season 16?

Well, this is a sticky wicket for those who work behind the scenes on The Bachelorette. What we've all heard is that Clare managed to actually, totally fall in love with one of her suitors, Dale Moss, only about 12 days into filming. While reports differ on just how much chaos that caused with the filming of the show (Reality Steve believes that production was very much ready for Clare and Dale to be so into each other that they'd want to ride off together early on), the information that's been rolling around since then is that Tayshia was called in to take over as rose-giver.

The problem, of course, is that no one behind The Bachelorette, and no one at ABC has ever bothered to confirm that Tayshia is even on the show this season. Not even Chris Harrison would cop to what we've all heard is true: Tayshia is also our Season 16 Bachelorette. On one hand, if all of this really did happen, it would be the biggest thing that's ever been seen on a Bachelor show, so I get that they want to hold on to the surprise. At the same time, we've had so many reports come out and say it's true, that withholding the Tayshia info seems silly now, and has actually angered lots of fans. But, seeing as how the premiere is this week, I expect them to hold on until we actually see our second black Bachelorette on screen.

Did Clare Really Abandon The Bachelorette Days Into Filming?

As I mentioned earlier, no one who's officially in the know about this season has gone on record to say that any of the reports are true. Right now fans are left with a big ol' rumor when it comes to what goes down in Season 16. But, the reports which leaked out at the beginning of August did, in fact, say that Clare quit the show, after becoming a bit difficult by cancelling cocktail parties, dates and the like, apparently because she was already super hot to trot for Dale.

Here's the wrinkle: not only do we not know whether or not this season will be completely filled with Clare, we also don't know if she really quit. Reality Steve has gotten intel on this season which led him to believe that production had enough conversations with Clare before filming to know she'd probably want to back out early into filming, because of Dale. As such, they had Tayshia at the Palm Springs resort where they filmed, all quarantined and ready to go when it became clear that the Clare / Dale love train was eager to leave the station. Then, the producers sat Clare down, and suggested that she just leave, so that they could get her out of the way. I truly cannot wait to see if any of this ends up on screen.

Is Clare Really In Love With Dale Moss?

Well, like, what is love, anyway, you guys? In all seriousness, since all of the rumors began that Clare left The Bachelorette because she'd gotten all hot-in-the-pants for one of her suitors, the only name we've heard as said love object has been Dale Moss. I'm going to guess that, whatever truly happens when we have a chance to set our sights on the season, it will (at the very least) become supremely clear, supremely early on, that Clare and Dale only have eyes (and other assorted body parts) for each other.

Now, this does beg another very much related question. Are Clare and Dale really in love, or were they just so into each other and Clare so determined to spend as much time with the former football player as possible that leaving to try a relationship simply felt like a better option? There are several reports which say the duo is already engaged. Either way, it's hard not to wish these two crazy kids the best of luck, because we all know that couples from this franchise rarely last for very long. If Dale has already popped the question, I sure hope they have a looooooong engagement, and that it helps them see their romance as clearly as can be.

How Long Will Clare Be Shown On The Bachelorette Season 16?

I am so very confused about this one, and have high hopes for the answer to go the way I want, which would be that we get maybe two episodes with Clare and then Tayshia comes on the scene. Right now, of course, we don't know how this is going to go. We could get two episodes of Clare drama, have Tayshia arrive and take over, but then have Clare and Dale stick around so that our elder stateswoman of Bachelor Nation can tutor Tayshia on handing out roses and dating 50,000 dudes at once.

Another option is that we continue to see Clare and Dale, and get to watch more of their love story unfold without the distraction of... anything, really. You know, because they'd still be stuck at the resort in Palm Springs and without any contact with the outside world. It would be interesting to see how they relate to each other without the usual Bachelorette shenanigans, but, at the same time, it would pull focus from Tayshia. And, if she's the new lead, the show needs to let her be the lead and not spend any significant time on Dare. (Dale and Clare, get it?)

Does Tayshia Get A Full Season's Worth Of The Bachelorette Episodes?

Again, ABC is committed to pretending that Tayshia has nothing to do with Season 16, but does that mean all of the clips of Clare we've seen happen in two episodes, or is there more of her? Even if we do only get two weeks of Dare, Tayshia would now be cheated out of two weeks of air time, correct?

My sincerest hope is that we get an extra episode or two to help fill in the blanks. Tayshia deserves a full Bachelorette season in which to recover from the John Paul Jones of it all. This really shouldn't be hard to do, either, because there is hardly anything on television right now. If the people at ABC can't make room for four extra hours of Tayshia this fall, they're not even trying.

Will Tayshia Have To Date Clare's Cast-offs?

OK, people. I don't like this idea one teensy little bit, but, is Tayshia really going to have to date all of the men left over after Dare takes its bow and rides off into the sweaty Palm Springs sunset? Even though, at some point, everyone in Bachelor Nation has dated someone's leftovers, for some reason I find this unbelievably icky. What if there are guys who are actually there to try and woo Clare? Will they stick around once she leaves and give Tayshia a shot? And, if so, should she really want them to?

What about the fact that Clare certainly had time to send at least a few guys home? Are they going to bring the roseless back for Tayshia? Does she get some all-new men to replace the ones Clare kicked to the curb? I have so many questions, folks. Here's one more: Is it October 13 yet?

Luckily, we no longer have much time between us and The Bachelorette answers we so desire, as the show starts (on a new night) next Tuesday, October 13 at 8 p.m. EST.

Warning! Potential spoilers ahead for Season 16 of The Bachelorette with Clare Crawley (and probably also Tayshia Adams)!

Well, would you look at that? After a delay of several (excruciating) months, we are actually, really, nearing the start of The Bachelorette Season 16. Even though Clare Crawley's time as head rose-giver was besieged by unforeseen difficulties from the very beginning, no one could have predicted the massive rumor which would come about just a few days after filming was finally able to get underway. Oh, have you not heard? Apparently, Clare fell in love almost immediately, and Tayshia Adams will take up her Bachelorette mantle. What we heard when this report first came out was that Clare's decision threw production into disarray, but was the show actually more prepared for the switch than we thought?

While it would make total sense to most of Bachelor Nation that Clare deciding to abandon her post a mere 12 days into filming (after such a long delay and many other worldwide health crisis-related obstacles had to be overcome) would, indeed, lead to a massive shakeup which caught the producers way off guard, we're hearing that this simply isn't the case. According to spoiler guru Reality Steve, not only were those behind the show not surprised when Clare and suitor Dale Moss began falling in love super early in the process, but they already had a plan in place for when that affection became obvious.

While we don't have all the details yet on how the switch from Clare as lead to Tayshia's Bachelorette time will go down, Reality Steve is saying that none of those murmurs we heard (back when reports first came out that Clare wasn't going to be the lead for very long) are true. We'd heard that Clare quickly became a problem once she and Dale were brought together on the show; refusing to film, cancelling dates and cocktail parties, and then quitting the show altogether to be with her newfound love.

Instead, Steve's intel says that while Clare did check her potential suitors out online during the long break before filming, she and Dale didn't have any actual virtual or in-person contact (not even texting) before the show began to film. But, she was already pretty hot on the model / former football player by then, and had Dale in her mind as a potential front-runner. When the cameras actually started to roll on Season 16, apparently there was no way to hide the attraction between both of them, and luckily, the producers already had a plan.

Apparently, producers had had enough conversations with Clare throughout the break to know that she had the tingles for Dale before filming began, and figured that she wouldn't be extremely keen to continue after meeting and talking to him for a bit. So, what did they do? According to Steve, they made sure Tayshia was prepared to come in and take over, settling on the new Bachelorette before they even started filming.

Reality Steve points out that, at no point, did The Bachelorette stop filming once things got going. This seems to mean that they were more than ready for the switch way ahead of time. He also notes that Tayshia was taken to the Palm Springs resort where they shot the season just nine days into filming, and she was quarantining there as Clare was still going on dates. He asserts that the producers were already worried about Season 16 being boring because of the single location, and when it became clear that Dale and Clare would fall for each other they just went ahead and worked Tayshia into the production schedule ASAP.

And, here's the real kicker to all of this. Steve's information also says that Clare didn't even really quit the season. I know! He believes (or has a scoop which has led him to believe) that the producers are the ones who set off the whole process of Clare leaving. They went to her after it was apparent that she and Dale were hitting it off in person and presented her with the opportunity to leave The Bachelorette behind so that they could pass the torch to Tayshia, who was happily waiting in the wings.

I really don't know what to make of all this, but I can certainly see the producers worrying about how exciting the season would be without all of their usual jet-setting. When you add in their supposed knowledge of Clare and Dale's pre-show feelings for each other, and how that (apparently) manifested so clearly when they were filming, it makes sense that they would have had a plan in place should they feel the show stalled in the "most dramatic season ever" department.

It's incredibly unlikely that anyone behind the show will publicly confirm any of this, and we certainly don't know if any of these behind-the-scenes shenanigans will show up on screen, but it is fascinating to consider, right? And, we can all see how this plays out on camera when The Bachelorette premieres, Tuesday, October 13 at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.

Man, alive, Bachelor Nation. When we were coming toward of the end of Peter Weber's messy as all hell season of The Bachelor, did any of you expect that Clare Crawley's Season 16 of The Bachelorette would manage to be just as messy (if not even more so) while not even airing for much of the time it was talked about? True, a lot of the rumors, problems with production and the other issues stemmed from our pesky and enduring pandemic, but...still. Could Clare have gotten a worse season handed to her when she was chosen to lead the rose-giving festivities back before we all had many face masks to our names?

Well, the fact remains that there have been a ton of setbacks for Clare's 2020 season of The Bachelorette, and if you're looking to re-visit the long road to production on her (supposedly very short!) time as our new leading lady, we've got you covered. Let's take a trip back in time and get all the problems with Clare's season straight, shall we? Let's get started with the obvious, that fateful day when she was confirmed as the new lead on her first solo journey toward finding the love of her life...

The Bachelorette Begins Dumping Clare's Men!

March 2: The problems started quite early for Clare's season. Even before she was officially announced to be our new lead, there were plenty of fans who complained about the fact that Clare (who was 38 at the time) was so much older than the typical female contestant or lead. The show seemed to have responded to the wide-ranging complaint that the women on Peter's season were just too immature to lead the next season of The Bachelorette, so they went into the Bachelor Nation archives to give us Clare, who'd already been on four previous seasons to find love, and hadn't been seen on screen at all since 2018.

But, her casting did immediately bring another problem. The producers are constantly picking people out who they think will be right for each season, but with Clare being so much older than the typical lead, the guys they had already cast were suddenly looking a bit too...short in the tooth. (Fine. I know people don't say that, but I'm trying to innovate here, OK?) Clearly they didn't have a firm handle on who they wanted as lead when they started the casting process for Clare's season, so some of the younger dudes had to go. Though, this would not be the last time this happened, but we'll get into that more later on.

The Bachelorette Is Postponed!

March 13: This date brought fans their first big blow where Season 16 of The Bachelorette was concerned, as our enduring health crisis had already gotten scary enough that the season needed to be delayed. We had been hearing rumors of how the producers were trying to figure out the best way to film, seeing as how many foreign countries were already entering lockdown in the weeks leading up to this very important day in the history of the franchise. There had, by the beginning of March, been talk of them not traveling internationally to keep everyone safe, but, as we know now, the production had to go way beyond that.

What made this even more difficult (and would, in turn, possibly lead to another issue, which we will get to later) is that Clare, all the men chosen for her season, and the entire crew, were already at the Bachelor Mansion and set to begin having Clare date her face off for all of us to watch. So, everyone literally had to be sent home to quarantine, without being able to film a single shot.

Clare's Men Are In Jeopardy!

March 18: Well, here we go! This was our first clue that even the men who'd been chosen for Clare's season and officially revealed by the show would be very likely to change again before filming had a chance to start. By this time, it was becoming pretty clear that quarantine wouldn't last for just a couple of weeks. So, one big issue that was now facing production was whether or not the 25 to 30 men who'd been cast for Clare kiss would all be able to drop everything once production started back up.

Sure, they may have all been eager to meet Clare, get to know her, and try to get some sweet social media influencer deals out of it...I mean, get some sweet long-term love out of being on the show, but having to face down a pandemic to do it was going to be a tall order for some people. The idea that all of them would still be on board (or logistically be able to) after a few months of quarantine was going to be a longshot. This isn't exactly why they cast for these shows all year round, but I'm sure it helped producers to rebound quickly, and some gentlemen were recast by July 22.

This Is How You Film The Bachelorette During An International Health Crisis!

April 9: The world wasn't exactly chugging along easily by early April, but Bachelorette producers were doing some creative thinking with regards to getting the franchise back on track. And, while what they came up with was before any official guidelines for filming came down in most countries, they should feel good in knowing that they were thinking of the right kind of solutions, because most of their plans were implemented.

It was obvious that they wouldn't be able to bust through shelter-in-place orders, so the producers came up with an ingenious plan: film the entire season in one place! They ended up renting out the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California, so that the entire location is filled only with those in The Bachelorette cast and crew as they film. All of the dates and rose ceremonies are being filmed on the property, and if someone has to leave the premises for any reason (like host Chris Harrison did not long ago) they need to undergo another quarantine before being allowed to roam about the property.

Wait... Clare Quit The Bachelorette?!?!

August 3: This is it, guys, the big problem that has shaken Bachelor Nation to its very core for weeks now. By the beginning of August, it was being reported that Clare had actually, truly done something that no other lead had ever done...quit her season during filming! Not only that, but Clare quit a mere two weeks into filming. While this still hasn't been confirmed by ABC or the production (we'll get to that in a bit), the rumor is that our lead actually managed to find love, or what was love-adjacent enough that she felt like she was wasting everyone's time by dating all the other dudes who'd been cast.

Now, remember earlier when I said that sending everyone home after they'd already been in the Mansion and all the dudes officially announced would cause another problem? Well, this is (reportedly) it. See, usually once you're set to film, the producers have taken your phone and other electronics away, and you can't just sit around in whatever free time you have Googling everyone. Well, not all of the men were recast for Clare's season, and it's thought that when they all got sent home, Clare and at least one of her men were able to find each other online and start chatting. This means that they "cheated," and got to know each other away from the cameras. Again, though, producers rebounded quickly, casting Tayshia Adams to be the new lead.

Fans Appear To Be DONE With Clare's Bachelorette Season

August 27: This is our final problem with Clare / Tayshia's season, and it could be a big one. After a loooong wait to get some official promos where we saw Clare as The Bachelorette, late August finally brought them to us. But, instead of seeing fans get all excited about the first look on social media, there was a lot of annoyance about pretty much everything dealing with the upcoming season and the promo shot itself.

Fans were very irritated by the fact that the show still won't confirm that Tayshia is involved, and she was nowhere to be found in the promo shot. They were also annoyed by Clare's clothing, the October 13 release date, and super displeased with the nod to the classic film The Graduate which the promo was styled after. For whatever reasons, The Bachelorette never does as well in the ratings as The Bachelor anyway, but I have a bad feeling that all of this ill will could sink Season 16, unless something truly crazy happens on camera that literally no one is expecting.

So, we've only got until October 13 to see what happens with Clare and Tayshia's Season 16 of The Bachelorette, and to see if even more problems manage to arise before then. In the meantime, you can see what else is coming up on the small screen with our fall TV premiere schedule!

I don't think there's currently a single fan in Bachelor Nation who doesn't feel a bit at sea right now. The Bachelorette was due to be way past done airing by this point in the year, and we should have been nearing the end of another beach-side season of Bachelor in Paradise, but the pandemic had other plans. Along with the standard slate of shows getting pushed back or cancelled, we are also now dealing with a lot of questions regarding the state of Clare Crawley's time as our leading lady, and former star of The Bachelor, Nick Viall, is among those many with "so many questions" about the whole thing.

Even though Nick Viall was considered to be one of the franchise villains for a bit, he's now been a member in good standing with Bachelor Nation for enough time that fans trust his opinion about the rumors and many happenings in the franchise. So, it's pretty cool to hear that Viall is really just like the rest of us in being confused about how everything is going to go down on Clare's upcoming Season 16 of The Bachelorette, especially considering that no one behind the show or the network has confirmed that she quit during filming and will be replaced by Tayshia Adams during the season.

So, just what does Nick think about all the talk surrounding Clare, Tayshia and the new season of The Bachelorette? Here's what he told Entertainment Tonight, and I think lots of fans will echo his sentiments:

Well, he ain't kidding that there are truly a lot of questions that fans want answers to right now. When reports came out in early August that Clare quit her season just a couple of weeks into filming, it was said that she had actually fallen in love with one of her suitors and decided to become engaged to him instead of just seeing how things would play out with the other dudes cast for her. We were also told that Tayshia was plucked from the pool of Bachelor also-rans (she was on Colton Underwood's 2019 season, as well as BIP last year) to take over.

As I mentioned, though, none of this has been confirmed. And, while I understand that the producers would want to hold on to as many surprises as possible for Season 16, this particular kissing cat appears to be out of the bag, so their insistence on pretending that none of this is happening, has (understandably) annoyed a lot of fans.

As you can imagine, because no one connected to the show is acknowledging the Clare / Tayshia switch, we don't know anything else about how this season will play out. Will Clare get two full-sized episodes of her own before riding off into the newly-engaged sunset? Will Tayshia have to date Clare's recent rejects? Is Tayshia going to get a full season of dating and rose-giving on screen, or will she be obviously short-changed when it comes to screen time? Seeing as how Clare had to stay at the resort where they were forced to film this year (so as to not further spoil the twist), might she be seen past The Great Quitation on her love journey, or to give Tayshia advice?

All of these questions and more are swirling, because right now, we really have no way of knowing what to expect. From what Nick has heard so far, though, it sounds like Clare will be doing things her own way from the word go, while Tayshia will get to be a more traditional Bachelorette in a very non-traditional situation, so it will be intriguing to see how the two (potential) styles play in one season.

Well, Bachelor Nation, it's taken a looooong time, but we finally know that Season 16 of The Bachelorette will premiere on ABC on October 13. The season has, obviously, already seen a lot of delays, rumors, and behind the scenes controversies, making for a season that's managed to hit the news on an almost constant basis, even though it's only been filming for a short time. While it seems like the announcement of a release date should have set fans on fire (yes, in a good way), the show appears to have another problem on its figurative hands, because fans seem to be really annoyed by everything about The Bachelorette right now.

Don't get me wrong, during my three years in Bachelor Nation, fans have absolutely never lacked a wide number of things to be annoyed about with any of the shows. But, many of those things had to do with the actions of people on the shows as they aired, meaning that fans were still watching and engaged with The Bachelor, The Bachelorette or Bachelor in Paradise. When I checked Twitter to see how people were responding to the news that we'll finally see Clare Crawley's (reportedly very short) journey to love and a lot more time with (reported) back-up Bachelorette Tayshia Adams, fans seem really over it.

Instead of expressing excitement over the new season, fans are simply taking to social media to voice their concerns over several aspects of the new season. Starting with the fact that no one behind the show has officially confirmed that Tayshia will take over for Clare, meaning, as you might imagine, that Tayshia is no where to be found in any promos for Season 16...

In early August, pretty much every media outlet began reporting that Clare found love after only a couple of weeks of filming on this season and that Tayshia would pick up the rose-giving gauntlet, but, that's right, The Bachelorette has yet to confirm the news. It's pretty easy to see why the producers would want to hold off, and let the whole thing play out on TV, but when it looks so certain that we know what's going to happen (just not how, exactly) the silence can feel like they doubt the intelligence of the fans.

As mentioned above, this season has been plagued with the kind of problems that no other season has, and all of them stem from our pesky pandemic. First, production had to shut down on the very day in March that Season 16 was supposed to start shooting. Then, producers had to figure out how to safely film a dating show that usually travels to far flung locations and sees folks doing at least semi-horizontal adult things all the time.

Everyone involved in production, obviously, got sent home to quarantine, but this meant that Clare was able to investigate the men who'd been cast on her season, unlike any lead before, and this is probably what led to her very suddenly falling in love so soon into filming. Speaking of Clare falling in love, several of her dudes had to be recast (with some of them speaking out about it), either because they were no longer interested in doing the show in the coronatimes, or because they just couldn't take a chance on putting their lives on hold later in the year than originally planned (or, because they were way too young, anyway).

Clare also got a bit of negative attention early in the summer for appearing to shade one of her former suitors who'd been cast, by unfairly calling him out on social media. Who am I talking about? Well, it's none other than our new Bachelor, Matt James. As you know, Matt will take the reigns in 2021, and is going down in The Bachelor history books as the first black lead for that show. It was a ridiculously long time coming, and fans were already on his side because he's a good friend of Tyler Cameron's, so Clare giving him guff did not sit well with a lot of people.

In case you're wondering, fans are not just pissed that ABC is acting like Tayshia won't be a part of this season. They're also genuinely annoyed by that date announcement you see above. Everything from Clare's clothing to the "It's about time" slogan, to the rip-off of a famous scene from the classic film The Graduate has set fans on edge. And at least one person in particular seemed truly offended by the reference, and pointed out some hypocrisy in the franchise:

Ooooooh, boy. I don't know if I ever mentioned this in my (many) previous articles about Season 16 of The Bachelorette, but I've been thinking that, with all the problems leading up to and after starting to film, the producers might have really been better off just skipping this season and going straight to Matt in early 2021. Because, this sounds like the over-riding thought from Bachelor Nation on the upcoming Clare / Tayshia season...

Woooooeeeeeee! Bachelor Nation, I hope you're all prepared because when Season 16 of The Bachelorette finally starts up, things are going to get buck wild. As you've likely heard by now, Clare Crawley, after months of waiting to start her run as head rose-giver, reportedly ended up falling for one of her suitors very early and will step away from Bachelorette duties during the season. While this hasn't been confirmed by the show or ABC just yet it looks like we're going to truly have The Most Dramatic Season Ever, and will be treated to Tayshia Adams coming in to take over Clare's abandoned Bachelorette spotlight.

So, what does this mean? It means we've got a completely different Bachelorette's life to get caught up on before Season 16 begins airing in September! And, we're here to help you learn everything you need to know about Tayshia, so that when she starts her time as the franchise's second black lead, you're fully apprised of her pertinent details and previous stops on the love train before she gets a chance to even send any hot, hopeful dudes home. Without further ado, let's get to know Tayshia!

Tayshia Adams Had Serious Heartbreak Before Bachelor Nation

Obviously, by the time most of the leads and potential mates make their way to The Bachelor or The Bachelorette, they've had their fair share of heartache, heartbreak, and probably even heartburn. But, Tayshia (who's now 29) had already faced divorce by the time she wound up as one of Colton Underwood's women on his 2019 Bachelor season. As she told Colton during one of their dates, the Newport Beach, California native had married her first boyfriend, Joshua Bourelle, whom she had been with for about six years total.

Unfortunately for Tayshia, she and Joshua struggled in their short-lived marriage, which only lasted for less than two years, and the couple split in October 2017, with the divorce becoming final in April 2018. After her split from Joshua, Tayshia dated model Chase Olswang for almost a year, before heading off on her journey to find love on TV with Bachelor Nation. And, her time on Colton's season was filled with a lot of highs and some pretty notable lows.

Tayshia Adams Was A Standout On Colton Underwood's Season 23 Of The Bachelor

Something that's been said of Tayshia since the rumors of her taking over as lead from Clare is that she won't be exciting enough to watch. Some have likely thought this because the former phlebotomist (who graduated from Concordia University) didn't spend a lot of her precious time getting into messy drama with her fellow potentials. (Minus, obviously, her ominous warning to Colton about some ladies "not being here for the right reasons.") Throughout the season, Tayshia was one of the more mature contestants, along with, of course, being one of the ones to really get a place at least close to Colton's heart. And, the duo had dates filled to the brim with smiles, kissing, bungee jumping and sky diving.

Tayshia managed, in fact, to foster an attraction from Colton which was strong enough for the soon-to-be fence jumper to keep her around until the fantasy suite dates. But! Colton decided to say goodbye to her after the woman he'd fallen for even harder, Cassie Randolph, dumped him during the evening portion of their date. Instead of choosing between the ladies he had left (Tayshia and Hannah Goodwin), he broke up with both the next day and went after Cassie. Tayshia handled that difficult, partially closed-door dumping well, and was originally considered to lead The Bachelorette in 2019, but left that mess to Hannah Brown and opted, instead for Bachelor in Paradise. This was where she roasted Colton as a bad kisser, but at least she did say he got better as his season went along.

Bachelor In Paradise: Tayshia And Derek Peth

It wouldn't be a bad idea to take note of how Tayshia and Derek Peth look in those photos above, because their short-lived Bachelor in Paradise romance was fraught with troubles. So, Tayshia admitted that Derek was the first guy in Paradise that she had the hots for, but he was all over Demi Burnett pretty much from Day 1, so they didn't really connect. That all changed when Demi's ex, Kristian Haggerty, showed up on the beach, and Demi said a tear-filled goodbye to Derek, because now Tayshia had a shot at the blue-eyed hunk.

What was the problem, then? Well, the issue was a not-so-little blond from Maryland named John Paul Jones. Tayshia had begun hanging out with the lad with the sensitive stomach when Derek took up with Demi, and JPJ was quickly over the moon for TayTay, while she was trying to keep her options open and not get involved in any of his drama. When JPJ realized that Tayshia and Derek were starting to get closer, well, he lost his absolute shit, and we'll get into details about that in a bit. Eventually, Tayshia had to make a decision, and she chose to stick it out with JPJ. Derek, not wanting to get involved with any other ladies in Paradise, opted to leave.

Bachelor In Paradise: Tayshia And John Paul Jones

Man, I don't think any of us saw a bit of this romance coming at all. This is especially true once the love triangle shit began to hit the Tayshia-shaped fan, because, even though JPJ had started in Bachelor Nation as a happy-go-lucky good time guy, his attitude changed very quickly when he saw that Derek and Tayshia were making sexy eyes at each other. Now, she did tell JPJ that she was keeping her options open, but because she didn't see many options before Derek was freed up, it meant that Tayshia spent most of her time with JPJ. He seemed to take that as a sign that Tayshia was more into him than she said, and was a bit blindsided when she opted to also put Derek in her rotation.

While JPJ had entertained other ladies in Paradise, he may have done that mostly to save face, because once Tayshia took up with Derek, he began declaring that he was in love with her, and went after Derek pretty hard. This included starting a shocking almost-shouting match with poor Derek... at a wedding, which led to Tayshia getting so upset over the disruption that she started crying. Then, JPJ came back for more verbal attacks toward Derek later on the beach, and managed to make his disturbing behavior even worse when he broke up the argument with what I can only call movie psychopath-level laughter.

Sooooo, Tayshia chose JPJ. And, he sweetly threw a beachfront prom for her when he found out that she never went to her actual high school prom, and also told her that he was in love with her. Immediately after JPJ's declaration of love, Tayshia told him she wanted to "get there" with him but wasn't and didn't think she could, basically saying that she didn't believe he knew what he wanted because he was still too immature. This led to JPJ leaving Paradise, and Tayshia, upset that she hurt him, leaving soon after.

But, wait! There's more! On the Bachelor in Paradise reunion special, we learned that Tayshia couldn't stop thinking about JPJ, his gag reflex and that nutty laugh, so she flew to Maryland to see if he would give her another shot, and...he did! The two dated for a few months, but weren't able to make a go of it, even without the cameras around, and split finally in October 2019.

Phew! That's it guys; we are all caught up on Tayshia's life before and during Bachelor Nation up until we get to see her date a bunch of dudes (who hopefully aren't all Clare's castoffs) on Season 16 of The Bachelorette. Possible spoilers ahead for Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette on ABC.

Clare Crawley's season of The Bachelorette has been unconventional from the start, and not just because Bachelor Nation pulled a single who last appeared in the franchise years ago back for another shot at love. Production shutdowns throughout the entertainment industry brought her season to a halt before it could really begin, and spoilers ran dry for a long time. Now, it seems that Crawley may have actually quit The Bachelorette early, and may be replaced by another Bachelor Nation alum.

Although nothing has been confirmed by ABC, Clare Crawley, or even Chris Harrison at the time of writing, Deadline reports an first-ever twist on the way in Crawley's season of The Bachelorette: the leading lady leaves for love early, and another woman steps into the spotlight. Rumor has it that Crawley fell in love with one of the men trying to win her heart early in the game and left rather than continue the Bachelorette process and lead men on when she has no intention of choosing them. Too bad this seemingly didn't occur to Colton Underwood back in his fence-jumping days, even if he did start lying to producers!

Clare Crawley's decision to bow out early will reportedly be part of the season's story rather than something that turned production upside down and forced The Bachelorette to start all over again. Interestingly, if reports about how The Bachelorette switches gears after Crawley left early are correct, the second Bachelorette of the season will be one unconnected to Crawley: Tayshia Adams.

Tayshia Adams started her Bachelor Nation journey looking for love as one of the women trying to win Colton Underwood's heart on Season 23 of The Bachelor, then jumped to Bachelor in Paradise Season 6 (on which she roasted Underwood's kissing skills) to connect with John Paul Jones. Her romance with JPJ went through some ups and downs; if Adams really is going to be the second Bachelorette of Season 16, then it's safe to say that she and JPJ never worked things out for good.

According to reports, Tayshia Adams joined production on The Bachelorette Season 16 after going through quarantine, and production will seemingly give Adams the choice of the men Clare Crawley had already eliminated as well as those who were still in the running when she apparently chose to chase her happy ending early. Crawley herself may have added further weight to the reports via social media.

Clare Crawley's account evidently "liked" a tweet about Tayshia Adams stepping into The Bachelorette Season 16, although it was "unliked" afterward. As Bachelor Nation fans know, contestants aren't allowed access to their cell phones during production. With production ongoing, it makes sense that Crawley called it quits to ride off into the sunset with her bachelor of choice and reunite with her phone.

For now, Bachelor Nation fans can only wait for news and hope for confirmation one way or the other. Spoilers may be harder to come by than usual for this season of The Bachelorette due to changes in production for the sake of safety during the pandemic. The season will reportedly film in full at the La Quinta Resort & Club in Palm Springs, California. If Clare and her bachelors aren't heading out for extravagant dates beyond the walls of the Bachelor mansion, there are fewer chances for details to leak.

With production reportedly ongoing, The Bachelorette will seemingly make its intended fall premiere on ABC, when it will switch from Mondays at 8 p.m. ET to Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Colton Underwood's season of The Bachelor broke the mold for how the show usually goes, not least because he was best known for being a virgin. The Bachelor went hard on the virgin angle (as well as the fence jump angle), and he eventually started lying to producers to conceal the fact that he was in love with Cassie Randolph rather than still into Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin. Now, Tayshia and two other women on Bachelor in Paradise blasted Colton's kissing skills... on national television.

A group of Bachelor in Paradise singles were sitting around a fire, and Derek Peth started asking the ladies about their worst kiss ever. After Kristina Schulman said that her worst kiss slobbered all over her face, a laughing Sydney Lotuaco beat around the bush before admitting that Colton was her worst kiss ever. Everybody burst out laughing, Caitlin Clemmens stood up, and this happened:

Ouch! Sydney definitely did not look or sound sorry when she said it, and pretty much everybody was laughing hysterically at this point. While Colton certainly wasn't my favorite person in the history of The Bachelor franchise, I have to hope that he wasn't watching Bachelor in Paradise! Especially if Cassie was by his side. She may have been fine with his kissing skills, but that could make for an awkward night of vegging out in front of the TV.

Bachelor And Bachelorette Couples: Who Actually Got A Happy Ending?

And that wasn't even the end of the roasting, as Tayshia walked up to the circle around the fireplace. When asked if Colton was a bad kisser, Tayshia initially felt awkward, especially since she was thinking about cozying up to Derek after John Paul Jones started heading out on dates with the new girls. When Derek explained that they were talking about their worst kisses and two women had already named Colton, Tayshia was happy to open up. She said this:

That's three women who named Colton as a bad kisser, and none of them seemed to feel too bad about roasting his skills on national television. Honestly, I just wish that Hannah G. had wandered over to weigh in. Like Tayshia, she was one of Colton's top three before he revealed that he'd already chosen Cassie, freaked out at her rejection, and ran away to jump the fence. Oh, The Bachelor Season 23, you were a ride!

The conversation about worst kisses wasn't even the last time Tayshia decided to throw shade at Colton, and she wasn't goaded into it the second time. In a confessional that saw Tayshia talking about how she was moving on to Derek, she said this:

Tell us how you really feel, Tayshia! In all seriousness, while it's clear that Tayshia and the other women who were roasting Colton are more than ready to move on with other relationships, none of them appeared to feel bad about their comments. Well, he did get rid of them from The Bachelor! And honestly, after what he did to Tayshia and Hannah G., I think they're both entitled to be snarky about him.

Now, Colton's days as The Bachelor are over, and he's even weighed in on who the next Bachelor should be. While I previously was on Team Derek for the next leading man, spoilers suggest that somebody else will be the Bachelor in 2020. Chris Harrison explained why the next Bachelor wasn't revealed in the finale of Hannah Brown's season of The Bachelorette, and Bachelor in Paradise is in full swing, so hopefully the wait is almost over.
