Kaley Cuoco broke her teeth on comedy starting on 8 Simple Rules before shifting into the ever popular The Big Bang Theory. That gave her more than a decade of experience with laugh tracks, but in the time since, there’s been less to laugh about. In fact, she’s strung together a slew of thrillers since her Chuck Lorre series ended, and only one of them, Based on a True Story, really had a comedic bent.

I thought it was a really cool move when Cuoco shifted to HBO’s The Flight Attendant as her follow-up to The Big Bang Theory. The show proved she had the chops to take on more dramatic roles, and it was a great, critically-acclaimed role for the actress where she was No. 1 on the call sheet. However, it’s been well over five years since TFA originally hit the schedule, and she’s really done no half-hour sitcom work since then.

Was this by chance or something else? Dax Shepard finally flat out asked the actress during her recent appearance on Armchair Expert. She said it’s more by industry design than her own cognizant choice.

Lots of changes have been coming down the pipeline in Hollywood in recent years, accelerated by the pandemic, but certainly not slowing down in the time since. Linear TV is shifting to streaming, even when it comes to live TV events. On the big screen, more and more space continues to be dedicated to tentpole movies instead of indies. In short, there’s been a lot of change, and Kaley Cuoco has been an actress with major name recognition during that period of change.

The good news? This means she’s still landing plenty of roles. The Big Bang Theory also gave her an insane salary to allow her more creative freedom, and she's still making money in reruns. The bad news? She hasn’t had another successful network tentpole to latch onto, and she recently opened up about not having that Big Bang salary to boot.

Lately, she's been doing a lot of stuff you can catch with a Peacock subscription, though her latest series Vanished will be available for those with an Amazon Prime subscription when it hits the 2026 TV schedule at the end of the month. (It's currently available with MGM+.) So far, there's been a lot of streaming content, but I can't wait to see where she goes next, and whether she'll dust off her comedic skills in the near future.

When The Big Bang Theory was still airing on CBS, the cast continued to land higher salaries over time. We know this because negotiations about what they were making were pretty public news at the time, particularly later on in the series when they all negotiated for the same $1 million per episode. With 20+ episodes a season being made, that added up to a hefty amount of cash. So, it’s no huge surprised that people are curious about the money Kaley Cuoco is now making years later.

Recently, the comedy and drama actress was asked what it’s like to go from making “an insane amount of money” on The Big Bang Theory to a “good amount” of cash for her more recent TV roles. Honestly, I think only another celebrity could get away with this question, so I’m really glad Dax Shepard asked it on his Armchair Expert podcast. Cuoco’s answer was both more candid and surprising than I expected, however, as she says she’s stayed down-to-earth as things have changed.

That's a bit surprising, honestly, given she is still super famous, but not making the same amount of money as in her heyday. In 2018, she was the second-highest paid actress on television, allegedly bringing in $24.5 million. That's not just eye-popping money, it ties in with her incredible amount of fame.

However, Cuoco went on to tell a story about how her husband Tommy Pelphrey is always having to look out for her and remind her she’s a distraction in public, even if she's making less per project these days. She says she’s gotten so used to people filming her, she forgets that there’s attention on her and it can get unsafe.

After The Big Bang Theory, it sounds like the actress has just been trying to get out there and live more of a regular life. Of course, her career isn't DOA. She starred in the successful and well-reviewed The Flight Attendant series shortly after TBBT ended, and she's had nice runs with the rom-com Meet Cute and the series Based on a True Story, which you can watch with a Peacock subscription. (And which Cuoco famously worked her real-life pregnancy into.)

So, it sounds like earning millions on The Big Bang Theory didn’t really change her habits much. She’s still out there doing normal people things and going to Chuckie Cheese with Matilda – whether or not her husband is enthusiastic about it. She says it’s a difference between how they’ve both cultivated their careers and their expectations of the fans, which Kaley Cuoco admits can get “weird.” But she remains the same person, even when her salary zigs and zags in Hollywood.

The Flight Attendant debuted back in 2020 as Kaley Cuoco's first regular gig after the end of The Big Bang Theory, with the actress stepping out of the sitcom sphere for a dramedy thriller that she also executive produced. The role resulted in her first-ever Emmy and Golden Globe nominations, so it's no surprise to learn that she thinks of playing Cassie Bowden as a "dream come true." Unfortunately, she shared that sentiment as part of the news that Max had cancelled the streaming series after two seasons. 

Max cancelled the series nearly two years after the second season finished airing back in 2022, according to Variety. The long gap of time combined with the fact that only the first season was based on the book by Chris Bohjalian makes it not entirely shocking that the show has officially gotten the axe, but it's still sad news for fans. For Kaley Cuoco, however, the news just motivated her to share how great her experience was in making the show. In a statement, the Flight Attendant leading lady said:

As Cuoco noted, it was an achievement for the show to reach two seasons at all, given that it was originally planned as a one-off limited series. The Season 2 ending of The Flight Attendant didn't definitively end Cassie's story, but the star's comments about a potential third season back in 2022 suggested that she'd be perfectly happy with the show finishing with just two seasons. Both seasons are currently available streaming with a Max subscription.

The show enabled Kaley Cuoco to reach some personal milestones. After twelve seasons as leading lady of The Big Bang Theory, she was finally able to celebrate her first Golden Globe nomination back in early 2021 for her work on The Flight Attendant. Just months later, she could celebrate her very first Emmy nomination as well. The end of The Flight Attendant also isn't the end of Cuoco's time working with Max, as her Harley Quinn animated series was renewed for a fifth season to debut at some point in the 2024 TV schedule, although a date hasn't been revealed yet at the time of writing. 

Cuoco has also been quite busy in the time since Season 2 of The Flight Attendant finished airing in early 2022, including a starring role in another TV series: Based on a True Story for Peacock Premium subscribers, which she filmed while pregnant. In addition to her TV shows, she landed film roles in projects including Meet Cute and Role Play, the latter of which premiered earlier this year to mixed reactions from critics.

So, while Cassie's journey has finished on The Flight Attendant, Kaley Cuoco's career is still going strong, and she reflects on her time starring in the Max series as a "dream come true." As for fans who have been holding out hope for a third season, there's always a Max subscription for rewatching the first two!

In a world that is surrounded by some of the best television shows ever, from the best programs on Netflix to the best series on Max, there have been plenty that have won Outstanding Drama, Comedy or Limited or Anthology Series at the Primetime Emmy Awards. A few I could think of are Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, Breaking Bad, Ted Lasso, Modern Family and many more. 

There are also so many shows that have never won any of these awards. Despite their impressive reputations or stellar casts, these 32 shows have never won Best Series in any category at the Emmys. Prepare to have your mind blown.

This Is Us 

This Is Us was a famous NBC show known for its brilliant storytelling and episodes that always found a way to make you cry. It was led by a brilliant This Is Us cast which included Sterling K. Brown (who won an Emmy for this show), Milo Ventimiglia and more. Somehow, the series never won Outstanding Drama at the Emmys. What's even worse is Mandy Moore never won an Emmy for her portrayal of the matriarch of the Pearson family. That, in itself, is a sin. 

Shameless

Yes, I know that in the later years of Shameless, the episodes didn't feel the same without Emmy Rossum as part of the fearless Shameless cast. However, the first few seasons of the dramedy became some of the best television at the time – and one of the best Showtime shows. And still, it never won Outstanding Comedy. 

Enlightened 

Enlightened only ran for two seasons, but they were full of great acting, a fun story, and so much more. Plus, it was led by the legend Laura Dern. The series, however, was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy. The only nomination that came through was for Dern, and she didn't win. 

The Walking Dead

Say what you want about The Walking Dead, but as someone who watched all eleven seasons of the show, those first five were excellent television. The only praise this show ever got in the Emmy world was for its visual and practical effects on the zombies – but the acting and the show as a whole? It went completely over the heads of those who chose the nominations. 

Dickinson 

Dickinson was one of the best Apple TV+ original shows. I fully believe this series was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy because it flew under the radar at first as one of the streaming platforms' first series. Hailee Steinfeld at least should have garnered a nomination, but there was no love for this series. 

Parks And Recreation

You're probably shocked to see this on the list, but Parks and Recreation never won a single Emmy Award. The show was top-rated and well-known for its talented Parks and Recreation cast, but not even Amy Poehler won the Emmy for her lead performance in the show. And the series, while nominated twice for Outstanding Comedy, never won.  

Dexter

I still believe Dexter is worth rewatching despite its later seasons being less than stellar. But the first four seasons of Dexter are classic TV. The plot twists are great, the acting is fantastic, and the backstory behind the serial killer is one of the best in Showtime history. While the series was nominated for Outstanding Drama Series several times, it never won. 

The Wire

I know. The Wire is one of the best shows in HBO history and television in general. And yet, somehow, the series never won any Emmy awards. It was never even nominated for Outstanding Drama. The only praise the Television Academy ever gave it was in the form of its writing – which was excellent, understandably – but come on, only that? 

The Brady Bunch

This sitcom from the 1970s is considered one of the most well-known and created several spinoffs. It also spawned one of the best-known TV catchphrases ever ("Marcia, Marcia, Marcia"), yet somehow, this series was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy -- or a single other Emmy award.

Peaky Blinders

Peaky Blinders has gained a lot more popularity over the last few years thanks to the growing stardom of Cillian Murphy from the Oppenheimer cast, but this show was one of the best the BBC had to offer. It featured several other major stars too, like Anya Taylor-Joy, Tom Hardy, Sam Claflin, and many more, and it was a fantastic story. But it was never nominated for a single Primetime Emmy Award. I'm upset even writing that down. 

Doctor Who

Doctor Who is one of those shows that has ebbed and flowed in quality. Some doctors have been great, others have been forgettable. But you can't deny the impact this series has had and the stories it tells with its most excellent doctors. And yet, Doctor Who has never been recognized in terms of acting, writing, or anything at the Emmys. The only nomination it ever got was for Outstanding Derivative Interactive Program in 2020.  

Better Call Saul

When Better Call Saul was confirmed after Breaking Bad, many believed it would never live up to its predecessor. Still, the prequel series about Saul Goodman was almost as good as the original – and to some, it's even better. But while Better Call Saul was nominated several times for Outstanding Drama, it has never won. 

Hannibal

Hannibal was a tremendous psychological horror-thriller that aired for three seasons and told stories that would blow the minds of anyone who watched it. It was scary and psychological and everything you could want – but it was never nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. 

New Girl

I loved New Girl and will rewatch it over and over again, but it seems like the Emmys forgot about the popular sitcom series after its first season. New Girl was only nominated for a few awards in 2012, not even for Outstanding Comedy Series. After that, it wasn't nominated again. 

Parenthood 

Parenthood lasted six seasons and had some of the best writing about modern-day family life. It is a more dramedy version of Modern Family. But the only person who ever got recognition for the show at the Emmys was Jason Ritter, and that was for a guest appearance on the series. 

Chuck

Starring Zachary Levi, Chuck was the spy drama that everyone enjoyed when it first came out in 2007, and it lasted for five seasons. But despite the show's fun nature and entertaining stories, it was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy. Its stunt work did receive some praise, though. 

The Good Place

This one surprised me when I found out, but The Good Place and The Good Place cast have never won an Emmy award. The show was nominated for 14, including Outstanding Comedy Series, but aside from that, it has never actually won an award. Considering the love this show got, that's very shocking – almost as much as the twist in Season 1. 

Narcos

Narcos was one of those crime drama TV shows that took the world by storm and has only gained more popularity over the last several years, especially with Pedro Pascal's rise to fame. But the series, which told the story of Pablo Escobar, was only ever nominated for Creative Arts Emmy Awards, and never for Outstanding Drama. 

Chappelle's Show

Dave Chappelle is hands down one of the most influential voices in comedy and sketch television. Chappelle's Show is an excellent example of that, showcasing the comedian in some of the funniest sketches of the 21st century. However, the series was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy. It was, however, nominated for Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Series but didn't win. 

The Flight Attendant 

Kaley Cuoco is known for her role in the Big Bang Theory cast, but it's a sin that people don't talk about her incredible performance in The Flight Attendant more. And while she and the show were nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series, it never won. 

Daredevil

Daredevil was one of the best Marvel TV shows on Netflix, lasting for three seasons and telling authentic superhero stories that didn't seem as intense as aliens invading from the galaxy. Instead, it was a much more grounded show with excellent battle sequences. But despite its popularity, Daredevil was never nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. Maybe Daredevil: Born Again will earn that privilege – only time will tell. 

Married…With Children

Married…with Children was one of the best sitcoms of the late 1980s to 1990s, lasting ten years and eleven seasons, and it brought up one of the best-known names in comedic television, Ed O'Neill. But this series, despite its long run, never won a single Emmy Award. Talk about the definition of snub. 

Station Eleven

Station Eleven was a miniseries that came out of Max (previously HBO Max), an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Emily St. John Mandel, and was one of the best post-apocalyptic TV shows out there. However, while the miniseries received praise, it was not nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series.

WandaVision

There was a rumor that WandaVision would be a multi-season series, but it was put into the Emmys as Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series. Of all the MCU shows on Disney+, the show was a huge hit but didn't win at the Emmys. 

The Leftovers

The Leftovers was an excellent supernatural series that showed what would happen when 2% of the world's population suddenly vanished without a trace. The series was popular and featured a fascinating story. But the show was never nominated for Outstanding Drama Series. 

Perry Mason

Perry Mason is an HBO series people adored, but it didn't live as long as it should have, because it was canceled by Max after Season 2. On top of that sad news, it hasn't been nominated for Outstanding Drama at all. The only people who have received praise are Matthew Rhys and John Lithgow, both of whom have only been nominated and not won.

Star Trek

While the Star Trek franchise has gone on for many years, the original Star Trek series (the one that pioneered and started it all) was never nominated for a single Emmy Award. This show, which meant so much to so many people, didn't even get to compete in this prestigious awards competition. But no matter – we'll always live long and prosper without an Emmy win. 

Jane The Virgin

I know it's rare for some of the best CW shows to get nominated for Primetime Emmys, but Jane the Virgin should have been a contender. The series features an original idea, bold storytelling, and the impressive Jane the Virgin cast. And yet, the Emmys never gave it the praise it deserved. In fact, only the narrator was nominated. 

BoJack Horseman

There are some excellent adult animated shows on Netflix, and BoJack Horseman stands out as one of them. The series is a realistic telling of what it's like to fall out of the spotlight in Hollywood and what can happen to people. Despite its acclaim, the series was never nominated for Outstanding Comedy at the Emmys. It did get two nominations for Outstanding Animated Program, but it deserved Comedy. 

Buffy The Vampire Slayer

I could not think of a better example of a show that deserved way more Emmy love than Buffy the Vampire Slayer in its earlier seasons. The show, led by Sarah Michelle Gellar, is a staple in supernatural television. However, it has yet to receive a nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.

Oz

Oz is considered one of the best TV shows ever, taking place in a men's prison and following the stories of prisoners over six seasons. However, despite its reputation and impact on TV, it was never nominated for Outstanding Drama. The only actor who was nominated in the series was Charles S. Dutton for a guest appearance on the show. 

Mindhunter

Mindhunter, starring Jonathan Groff, was an excellent TV show on Netflix from director David Fincher, and everyone was sad when Season 3 was confirmed never. The series was fantastic and featured storytelling unlike any other. But despite its fresh tales and incredible acting, Mindhunter was never nominated for Outstanding Drama. It's such a shame. 

Even more TV shows have never won these types of Emmys, but these are just some of the first that come to mind. But now, I know I need to rewatch some of these to give them the love they deserve – or have fun showing them to others—time for a binge-fest.

So you've been waiting for Season 3 of The White Lotus – same here. Since the first season of The White Lotus came out, fans worldwide have turned to this excellent anthology series about guests who stay at various locations of a resort chain, known as The White Lotus. The first season's cast was amazing, as was The White Lotus Season 2 cast. 

But now, it's been a year since The White Lotus Season 2, and while filming and production was delayed for Season 3 due to the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Strike, both of those have thankfully come to an end, and Season 3 will hopefully be on the way soon. However, you can watch plenty of shows like The White Lotus to pass the time. Let's talk about them. 

Nine Perfect Strangers (2021 – Present)

Released on Hulu, Nine Perfect Strangers is based on the book of the same name, and it will truly be the craziest ride of your life. 

It follows the story of strangers who are at different points of their lives who all gather at a health and wellness resort that aims to solve everything wrong in their lives, but everything is turned upside down by its unconventional methods. 

I could go off about Nine Perfect Strangers for some time. The Nine Perfect Strangers cast is filled to the brim with talent, and the story will capture your interest in seconds. If you love the idea of people getting stuck at strange resorts such as The White Lotus and escalated tensions, this is the show for you.

The Flight Attendant (2020 – 2022)

In one of Max's best original shows, The Flight Attendant, Kaley Cuoco stars in one of her best roles, where she plays a flight attendant who wakes up in a hotel bed next to the dead body of a passenger and no memory of the night before. Now, it's up to her to figure out what happened. 

The White Lotus Season 1 featured a great murder mystery that people tried to figure out as time passed, as everyone wanted to figure out who was in that coffin that went on the plane. While The Flight Attendant isn't as dramatic as The White Lotus can be, it's still just as well-told and hilarious with Cuoco as its lead.

Succession (2018 – 2023)

Ooh, you like family drama? Succession is the show for you. The HBO series features the story of the Roy family, a wealthy crew of billionaires constantly at each other's throats because they all want a piece of the family fortune and their chance to run it all when their patriarch starts to show health problems. 

There are many reasons to watch Succession if you like The White Lotus, but the main one is that both feature heavily on family drama and the impacts of certain decisions on people's lives that lead to how they live later. The Succession cast is brilliant, and the story is second to none.

Fleishman Is In Trouble (2022)

Fleishman is in Trouble is an excellent series about a middle-aged man named Toby who is learning to date again. He suddenly finds his world upside down when his separated wife suddenly vanishes without a trace after dropping off their children one morning. 

Season 2 of The White Lotus talked a lot about love, jealousy, and manipulation within couples, and Fleishman is in Trouble is the perfect show that embodies that in many ways and more. The Fleishman Is in Trouble cast is excellent, led by outstanding performances from Jesse Eisenberg and Claire Danes.

Yellowjackets (2021 – Present)

Yellowjackets is a Showtime series that tells the story of a soccer team whose plane goes down in the woods of Canada while traveling to a national championship game. To survive, they have to do drastic and dangerous things – which come back to haunt them more than two decades later. 

While Yellowjackets and The White Lotus have very different premises, one thing connects them – the fact that fans debate over who was murdered and use every little detail they can find to get some clue. The murder mystery is real with this one – and guess what? There's even a Yellowjackets Season 3 confirmed.

Enlightened (2011 – 2013)

Mike White created The White Lotus, but before that, he started Enlightened. This HBO series tells the story of a young woman who suffers a breakdown and goes to a spiritual retreat. And from there, she decides to rejoin her company from the bottom and take it all down to rebuild her life. 

If you love the humor and drama of The White Lotus, then you have to check out Enlightened. Arguably, it features one of Laura Dern's best performances and has a great story that anyone could relate to about wanting to move forward and make better choices.

Big Little Lies (2017 – 2019)

Like The White Lotus Season 1, this show uses a murder mystery as the inciting incident that gets the plot going. Big Little Lies follows the story of a community thrown right into a murder investigation. 

The show has many stars and two seasons, but what makes it like The White Lotus is how it subtly addresses significant issues. From domestic abuse to classism to much more, it won't be long before you're captured by the incredible story Big Little Lies tells.

Dynasty (2017 – 2022)

More family drama comes in the form of Dynasty. This popular CW show is based on the 1980s show of the same name and follows the daily lives of the Carringtons, a wealthy family constantly at each other's throats.

While I think Dynasty is a bit more forward with its drama than Succession is, it's still a fun show that fully details what money can do to a family and how it can lead to corruption, which The White Lotus touches on a lot. Plus, you have an outstanding leading performance from Elizabeth Gillies.

The Resort (2022)

In this Peacock original, The Resort follows a married couple who go on a trip to Yucatan while working on their marriage. While there, they find a flip phone that could lead to figuring out a long-unsolved mystery regarding two teenagers who went missing. 

While The White Lotus uses mystery as one of its crucial storytelling factors, The Resort dives fully into it, making it the primary source of entertainment. But let me say it's one of the best mysteries you'll watch this year, with twists and turns around each corner. Not only that, but William Jackson Harper and Cristin Milioti are fantastic.

Severance (2022 – Present)

Lastly, we have Severance. This great Apple TV+ show tells the story of a dystopian world where people can split their consciousness between their work lives and their personal lives so they do not intersect, which causes massive problems and conspiracies down the line. 

The setting of Severance is quite different, but it's the fact that you will be theorizing about this show for hours that makes it such a great binge, just like you would for The White Lotus. You can binge the first season while we wait for Severance Season 2.

You can check out these great shows while waiting for The White Lotus Season 3. Hopefully, with the 2024 TV schedule about to start rolling out, we will soon get the following story of the famous resorts, but until then, you have these shows to turn to. 

Kaley Cuoco’s pregnancy journey was a joy to watch, as The Flight Attendant star and her partner Tom Pelphrey dazzled at red-carpet events as a party of three and the actress joked about her pregnant lady abs. But that stage is now over, with the couple of one year introducing daughter Matilda with lots of adorable photos. Cuoco and Pelphrey are no doubt neck-deep in the early days of having an infant in the house, but it’s apparently all coming naturally to the new mom, according to her Flight Attendant co-star Rosie Perez, who spoke about how her friend is adjusting to motherhood.

Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey was born on March 30, after Kaley Cuoco documented her pregnancy with a cute pregnancy announcement (though she was apparently teasing the news even before that!) all the way through to an extravagant baby shower, complete with a drone show and finally the birth. Rosie Perez confirmed how overjoyed Cuoco is, and she couldn’t be happier for her and Tom Pelphrey, as Perez told People: 

Kaley Cuoco certainly appears to be enamored with both her new daughter and the Ozark actor, as The Big Bang Theory alum continues to share adorable photos of their little family on Instagram: 

Parents know you’ve got to sneak in sleep wherever you can in those early days, and I’d have to agree with Rosie Perez that it is wonderful to see the joy the parents have in Matilda and each other. The Fearless actress went on to say she’s so happy that her former co-star has found the love she deserves, continuing: 

Tom Pelphrey and Kaley Cuoco had a “magical” meet-cute at the Ozark premiere last April, with the actress saying it was “love at first sight.” The Harley Quinn star had been open about her struggles since ending her three-year marriage to Karl Cook, but after just a month with Pelphrey, Cuoco was ready to build a life with him.  

Things don’t seem to have cooled down over the past year, and their pregnancy journey was filled with swoon-worthy red-carpet moments and plenty of sweet declarations of their love for each other. Hopefully there’s plenty more of that to come, as well as pics of Matilda. I don’t doubt there will be, because it would be a shame to keep this little bundle of cuteness all to themselves: 

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey both have a couple of projects in the works, but I think we can all see what their priority is at the moment. Fans can see Cuoco in The Flight Attendant and Harley Quinn, which are both available with an HBO Max subscription, and Ozark is available for streaming with a Netflix subscription. 

For years Kaley Cuoco’s name was synonymous with her iconic role in The Big Bang Theory. But since that sitcom ended she’s been making moves, including her Emmy-nominated role in HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant, in which she’s also a producer. Her co-star Callie Hernandez, who plays Gabrielle Diaz, spoke to CinemaBlend about the series, praising Cuoco’s work ethic in the process.

Actress Callie Hernandez has been keeping busy lately in both TV and film, and is part of the killer ensemble cast of Jennifer Lopez’s Shotgun Wedding. As you can see in the video above, I had the privilege of speaking with the movie’s cast ahead of its release on Amazon Prime. I asked Hernandez about her experiencing work with actor-producers like JLo and Kaley Cuoco, and she opened up by saying:

That’s some high praise. It’s one thing to be at the top of the call sheet for a major movie or TV production, but it’s another thing to be leading the set as a producer. It requires a special set of skills (including endurance) that Callie Hernandez has witnessed in both Jennifer Lopez and Kaley Cuoco. And it sounds like she’s ready to collaborate with either of them again, thanks to that impressive work ethic.

Callie Hernandez’s comments about Kaley Cuoco show how much of an impact she made during their collaboration on The Flight Attendant. She entered the dark comedy in its second season on HBO Max, playing the mysterious antagonist Gabrielle. Hernandez would ultimately appear in 6 episodes of the acclaimed series. Unfortunately it’s still unclear if it’ll end up returning to the streaming service for Season 3.

As previously mentioned, Callie Hernandez has a role in the highly anticipated upcoming comedy Shotgun Wedding, which is getting its wide release on Amazon Video (see what critics thought here). She plays the sister of Jennifer Lopez’s protagonist Darcy, and gets some truly funny scenes opposite Jenny From the Block. During my interviews with the cast, they universally praised JLo as both a co-star and as a producer on the film.

Besides Jennife Lopez, Callie Hernandez got to work with a cast full of icons for Shotgun Wedding, which was filmed at the height of the pandemic. Josh Duhamel is the co-protagonist with JLo, with other big names including recent Emmy winner Jennifer Coolidge, the iconic Cheech Marin, multitalent Lenny Kravitz, The Good Place’s D’Arcy Carden, and the one and only Sônia Braga. And each of them gets a chance to steal the show throughout the film’s 100-minute runtime.

Kaley Cuoco is pregnant with her first child. She and her partner Tom Pelphrey announced they were having a baby back in October, but subsequently the Meet Cute star mentioned she’d known some time before she shared the news. In fact, when she dressed for HBO’s Emmys party in September, she’d been concerned about the gown making it around her waist. Now, thanks to a new video, we know she was also lightly teasing her pregnancy before she shared the news with fans online.

In a viral TikTok that’s blown up following the pregnancy news, stylist Brad Goreski shared a post of The Flight Attendant star ahead of her Peacock movie’s premiere. In the video, Cuoco is already dressed in the notable pink dress she wore when she attended the event early on in her relationship with Tom Pelphrey. She’s clearly on her phone when the video starts and is none too happy to be bothered. However, it’s her response in the video that’s most intriguing. After she gets asked a question off-camera, she looks up and says “Mommy’s working." Check it out.

The video itself is quite amusing and when it was posted around the time of the premiere, it just seemed like an innocuous moment the famous stylist caught and threw up on TikTok. However, given we now know that Kaley Cuoco was already pregnant when she attended the event, the video has new context. 

How We Know Kaley Cuoco Was Pregnant While At The Emmys Party

When Kaley Cuoco hit the carpet in the bright pink dress, all eyes were on Cuoco attending the event with Tom Pelphrey. She and the Ozark actor only started dating earlier in 2022 and had just made their first public appearance together a few months earlier, at Greg Berlanti’s Hollywood Walk of Fame event.

Just looking at the star, she wasn’t at the point where she was noticeably pregnant yet, not in the same way Blake Lively has been, for example, at recent events. (In fact, Lively chose to announce her pregnancy by showing off her baby bump.) Meanwhile, Cuoco wasn’t super far along yet and decided to keep things under the radar for a bit. However, when she did finally make the announcement, she also shared the fact she could barely get into the dress, also mentioning her stylist in that post. 

Brad Goreski had to have known she was struggling to fit in the dress, which makes me assume he also knew what he was doing when he posted that “Mommy’s working” TikTok. More recent comments on the post have shown Cuoco fans are enjoying the joke, as many of them have started commenting things like “soon she is a mommy” and “now mommy's working makes more sense 😂😂😂” after the pregnancy announcement was made. 

This isn’t the first time Brad Goreski has worked with a pregnant client, as he previously spoke with People about dressing Jenna Dewan when she was expecting – though at that point his client wasn’t trying to hide her baby bump. Given Kaley Cuoco's baby isn't due until 2023,  I’m assuming she’ll have plenty more events to attend where she can show off her bump, should she choose to. And given Cuoco’s been all about sharing her pregnancy journey in other areas, including working out with her trainer Ryan Sorensen, I can only imagine if she has an event to attend she’ll be the most stylish soon-to-be Mama. Kaley Cuoco has been sweetly sharing baby bump photos and more since she and partner Tom Pelphrey announced they were having a baby last month. The first time mom has seemed mostly excited about what is to come, but being pregnant isn’t without sacrifices. In fact, she recently shared a post about one thing pregnant women step away from: riding.

Cuoco’s a noted animal lover and avid rider who has competed in showjumping events and more in the past. She previously told Jimmy Kimmel she competes under an alias--at least when she's not pregnant. Recommendations online vary regarding when a soon-to-be mom should completely stop riding while pregnant, but at least by the third trimester, pregnant women are typically veering away from riding completely. Before that, there are also recommendations about avoiding activities that could result in abdominal trauma and any hard exercising of a horse is not suggested at any point during pregnancy. 

The good news? Kaley Cuoco has other horse lovers in her life. In a new post on her Stories, Kaley Cuoco showed off her personal home riding course (which comes complete with a custom mounting block made by her ex-husband Karl Cook. She thanked pal Frank Van Helmond for making sure her horses get out and ridden so that her horses stay in "tip top shape" while she watches on. 

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey haven’t announced exactly when the little one is coming, but they did share the gender reveal cake with fans back in October, announcing they will be having a girl. They’ve also shared moments including drinking out of Mama Bear and Papa Bear mugs, among other excited proud soon-to-be parent photos. 

Since then, Cuoco has shared how she hid her pregnancy on a red carpet for Meet Cute earlier this year (so she’s been showing at least since September).  And Pelphrey also shared the couple's feelings about the pregnancy, using adjectives like "excited" and "blessed." 

Meanwhile, outside of her relationship with Tom Pelphrey, the Flight Attendant star has been hard at work. She’s also been recently sharing images from filming her new streaming series Based on a True Story, which will be available to those with a Peacock subscription sometime after it wraps. She's busy, busy, busy before the baby comes, which may help with the sting of not being able to compete. It's nice she has her own tribe of people around her to help out and to help her keep her animal kids in great shape, even if she's watching from the sidelines right now.

Kaley Cuoco and her beau Tom Pelphrey recently announced they’re having a baby! The actress posted the announcement on her Instagram, and she has been documenting the journey. Now her partner is also speaking about the pregnancy, and it is so sweet. 

While chatting with Extra to promote his movie American Murder, which is part of the 2022 movie schedule, Pelphrey talked about his excitement regarding the pregnancy. He said: 

This announcement comes after the couple met in April and made it Instagram official in May. 

They met at the premiere for Ozark, the duo has the same management team and Cuoco was her manager’s guest. Pelphrey has a recurring role on the show, and they met during the event.  The couple got together a few months after she finalized her divorce from Karl Cook in September 2021. 

To add to all the cuteness around this couple, Pelphrey posted some adorable photos on Instagram of them finding out the gender of their baby and holding the cutest papa and mama bear mugs. He wrote:

The actress has also been posting lots of fun pregnancy content on her Instagram stories. From pointing out she was pregnant at the Emmy’s, to introducing her horses to the baby, to posting a video of her crying while watching Selma Blair's emotional exit from Dancing with the Stars, she’s been keeping it real and giving us all a peek into what it’s like being pregnant. 

On top of the pregnancy, both actors have had big years professionally.

Cuoco returned to her hit HBO show The Flight Attendant this spring, which she received an Emmy nomination for. She also starred alongside Pete Davidson in the Peacock romantic movie Meet Cute. 

Meanwhile, Pelphrey has had a busy year, he’s been in multiple shows on the 2022 TV schedule, and multiple movies. He returned as Ben Davis on the Netflix drama Ozark, and he starred alongside Josh Brolin in Outer Range. On top of all that, he is starring in the upcoming movies She Said and American Murderer. 

It’s so exciting to see the couple have great success in work and how much they adore each other. The Flight Attendant

The Flight Attendant stars Kaley Cuoco as a reckless flight attendant who has an alcohol problem and ends up waking up next to her dead one night stand. Now, she has to retrace her steps to try and find the person responsible – wondering if somehow, she could be the killer.

First off, Kaley Cuoco is fantastic in this series. While I know she’s beloved for her comedic skills on The Big Bang Theory, she genuinely shines in The Flight Attendant and shows off her ability to act in dramatic ways as well. Secondly, the murder mystery of this show really captures you and draws you in like no other. It’s such a classic find-the-real-killer premise, and one that The Flight Attendant does well. Season 2 of the show came out in 2022, and there aren’t any more plans for another season, so be sure to check out both of them on the platform.

Peacemaker

He’s here to make peace…by breaking some heads. Peacemaker, a spinoff of the popular 2021 film, The Suicide Squad, follows the titular character after he recovers from his injuries from the movie. Now, he joins a black ops squad called A.R.G.U.S., a team with a mission to eliminate parasitic butterfly-like creatures and to stop them from taking over the bodies of humans. 

Peacemaker is so silly, I can’t even put it into words, but in the best way. John Cena is great as a leading man, and him playing the titular character works wonders, to the point where you know there isn’t another actor out there that could play this character better. And now with Season 2 already ordered, it’s only a matter of time before we get to see him again, and all the incredible references once more.

The Staircase

Do you want a drama miniseries? The Staircase has you covered. Tragedy strikes a North Carolina family when the wife of Michael Peterson dies, but her death is surrounded by a veil of mystery, and as time goes on, more and more conspiracy theories begin to arise that make her passing all the more suspicious. 

I loved this miniseries. There are so many out there but this was truly one of the best I have ever seen. The Staircase cast all act amazingly, and from the moment the first episode begins, you will be hooked and on the edge of your seat. The two leads, Toni Collette and Colin Firth, were both nominated for Primetime Emmys, so you know it’s good.

And Just Like That…

If you happen to be a fan of Sex and the City and/or Darren Star TV shows, then this is the show for you. And Just Like That… is the latest show from the hitmaking machine that brought you the series adaptation of Sex and the City. The Max original is a sequel series to the popular comedy, featuring the Sex and the City cast in the next chapter of their characters’ lives in New York City. This time, it follows them in their fifties, as they navigate their lives, friendships and relationship drama.. 

While I personally feel that the original series is still the best out of all the sequels and spinoffs this franchise has had, And Just Like That… is a good addition to that and brings back a lot of the familiar beats that fans tend to love. With two full seasons to stream and a third season on on the way, it’s time for you to step into the world of Carrie Bradshaw.

Hacks

In this comedy series, Hacks tells the story of a legendary Las Vegas comedian, Deborah Vance, who has to team up with Ava, a Gen Z comedy writer who has been canceled over an insensitive tweet. The two are reluctant to work together, but must, so that Vance can freshen up her material and keep her job.

Let me just say that Jean Smart in Hacks is wonderful and her comedic timing is excellent. Plus, the chemistry that blossoms between her and Hanna Einbinder, who plays Ava, makes this show so enjoyable to watch. The generational difference between the two characters only adds to this comedy and makes it watchable for anyone. It’s seriously one of the best comedy shows in such a long timeThere are three full seasons to watch, with a fourth ordered.

Love & Death

How far would you go to protect yourself and the ones you love? Love & Death is the latest miniseries from Max to tell a true story, this time following Candy Montgomery. Her decision to have an affair leads to the murder of a close friend – and a court case that Texas will never forget. 

Elizabeth Olsen stars as Candy in the show and does an excellent job, but the whole entire Love & Death cast is jam-packed with talent that keeps your eyes glued to the screen for the entire length of the miniseries. With seven episodes to watch, Love & Death is the perfect show to watch in an afternoon to fuel your true crime obsession even more.

Adventure Time: Fionna And Cake 

If you’re like me and you grew up watching Adventure Time back in middle and high school, then this series is the one for you. Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is an adult animated series that is based on the Adventure Time series, and is made for adults this time around. Fionna and Cake are two different versions of Finn and Jake the Dog from the original series, and this show follows the adventures of these two long-life companions. 

I just love this show. I don’t know what it is. I’ll even be honest and say that while I did love Adventure Time growing up, I almost love this show more. It’s almost like the comedy aged with the audience and now, we’re just going on more adventures with characters that feel similar but are also so different – which is what makes this series that much more fun. The series was renewed for a Season 2, so you better check out the first season now.

Harley Quinn

While the dark comedy animated series was originally on DC Universe, it later moved over to Max and has been an original with Season 3 onwards. Harley Quinn is an animated series (for adults) all about Harley Quinn, the legendary partner to the Joker, but this time, she’s doing her own thing and taking names with her own crew of evil, as well as her best friend, Poison Ivy. 

The show itself is honestly one of the best pieces of DC television media, and features not only the excellent voice talents of Kaley Cuoco, but some awesome relationships and fun action sequences. You’ll also fall in love with Harley and Ivy. That’s all I’ll say without spoiling anything. Also, this show is not for kids, so keep them far away from there. But enjoy this yourself, because thankfully it survived all of the show cuts on Max and is getting a Season 5.

Doom Patrol

Did ya like Peacemaker? Do you want another dark DC television show? Then Doom Patrol is the one for you. Originally beginning on DC Network before moving over to Max (when it was HBO Max), Doom Patrol follows the heroes that make up the titular group, all of which obtained their powers in seemingly tragic ways, and the adventures that they travel on. 

The show itself is so much fun, and in an age where there is almost an oversaturation of superhero shows to watch, Doom Control separates itself just enough with its dark comedy mixed in with some aspects of science fiction. With four complete seasons, this show is a great one to binge in a weekend.

Selena + Restaurant 

When Selena + Chef premiered, people loved watching superstar Selena Gomez cook in her kitchen with famous chefs during both COVID and after. Now, Selena is stepping out of the house in Selena + Restaurant. She travels to places owned by famous chefs, learning their recipes, and presenting her own ideas that could be featured on a menu for people to enjoy. 

As someone who truly loved Selena + Chef, watching her in this show is so adorable and I love every second of it. It’s almost like she’s evolved up in the world of cooking like I have over the last few years, and to see her passion for food and everything else just makes me love her more. Gomez is a great host, and you can’t deny that by the end of each episode, you’ll be feeling hungry for more. Technically the series is a Food Network show, but since it streams on Max at the same time, I’m totally putting it here.

The Sex Lives Of College Girls 

Shows and movies that take place in college are always fun, and The Sex Lives Of College Girls is a great example of that. Following four friends who are going to college for the first time, we follow them as they learn to grow up and become sexually active young women, alongside the trials and tribulations that modern-day universities can bring. 

I personally love this show. As someone who is decently fresh out of college (2020), I can relate to many of the instances or issues that these girls go through, from personal relationships to professor problems to so much more. Plus, The Sex Lives of College Girls cast is so talented, their vibes together are immaculate. You really believe that they’re legit close friends who went to college together. You have to give it a shot if you’re looking for a fun comedy. With two seasons to watch, and a third on the way, it’s such a fun time.

Bookie

Starring Sebastian Maniscalco, Bookie is the comedy series that you’ve been waiting for, and it’s right here on Max. Created by Chuck Lorre (the same guy behind Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory, Mom, and Young Sheldon), Bookie is about a bookie, someone who facilitates gambling, and how he survives in a world where sports gambling is now legal in Los Angeles. 

This series is so much fun, and there’s already a second season in the works. The cast all has great chemistry, but I have to say – the best part about this series is that Charlie Sheen pops up, and he and Lorre often make great TV together. Unsurprisingly, Bookie is a great comedy series and one that I’m sure we’ll be around for a while.

Station Eleven

While this is a limited series and not an ongoing TV show, Station Eleven is a brilliant piece of media to watch. In this original, we are in a world that is recovering from a deadly flu that has killed much of the human population. The survivors twenty years later have to struggle to rebuild the world from the ground up, and somehow find hope in a world of darkness. 

Let me just say that this show is so stunning. The cinematography alone from just the trailer drew me in, but what really keeps you coming back to this limited series are the relationships that are built with these characters. They are at the end of their rope and trying to make a new world, and it’s all about trying to stick together despite the worst happening, no matter what humanity has to throw at them.

Julia 

This show feels a little underappreciated and I am here to give it the loving that it deserves. In Julia, starring Sarah Lancashire as the titular chef, Julia Child, we follow the legendary lady as she makes waves in not only the cooking world, but the television world as well, showing just how iconic and influential she was in both industries, and her rise to fame. 

As I said before, I have a passion for cooking, which is what initially drove me to watch this show, because I love the story of Julia Child. But you don’t need to have a passion for cooking to like this series. There’s so much to love, from the setting to the background, to even just the main character, Julia. She has so much perseverance that she makes me want to be a better person and strive for more. It makes me excited about cooking again - and I love that.

Full Circle

If you’re looking for a great miniseries again, then Full Circle is a good one. Starring Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Dennis Quaid and more, Full Circle tells the story of how an investigation into a botched kidnapping gives more questions than answers, showing that in New York City, people that seemingly would never have a connection to each other are very much connected – i.e., a full circle. 

I’d like to say that Full Circle is certainly one of those shows that has gone under the radar. Max has so many great series that sometimes, it might be hard to keep track of how many great ones are truly there, but I think Full Circle is one you could binge in just a day, and have a great time doing it.

Clone High

Last but not least, we have Clone High. While the first two seasons originally premiered back in the early 2000s, the show was brought back in 2024. The series takes place at a high school, where there are famous clones of historical figures who all go there at the same time – just as teenagers, such as JFK, Cleopatra and more. 

I have to say that as someone who only just got into Clone High, I’m astounded that it took this long to bring it back. This show is funny and has some great voice acting, and the concept itself is incredibly original in comparison to many other comedy series’ nowadays. Plus, you have actors like Will Forte, Ayo Edebiri and more as part of the main cast.

Fans of Kaley Cuoco’s thrilling dramedy, The Flight Attendant, saw the second season of one of the best HBO Max shows wrap up recently. And, while many are still likely thinking about how Cuoco’s Cassie made it through that surprising The Flight Attendant Season 2 ending, you can bet that many others have already moved on to hoping for a third season. Now, Cuoco has now opened up about her thoughts on making another season of her hit series.

What Did Kaley Cuoco Say About Making The Flight Attendant Season 3?

While Kaley Cuoco has certainly seen great professional success before, as she was a member of The Big Bang Theory cast for its entire run, The Flight Attendant has brought her the most acclaim of her career. Cuoco nabbed her first Emmy nomination (and her first Golden Globe nod) as an actor for her part as “thrill addict” Cassie Bowden, so it would be natural to assume that Cuoco is eager to return for more high flying adventures. But, as she recently told People:

I know that this sounds like totally bad news, but let’s think about what Cuoco is saying here. First of all, she’d like a bit of a break, at least from Cassie’s life, and if you’ve seen the past two seasons of The Flight Attendant, you can probably understand why. She’s had to deal with some heavy stuff on the show, which Cuoco also executive produces and worked hard to bring to television in the first place, and it’s understandable that with several other projects now on Cuoco’s plate she’d like to focus on something else for a bit.

Also, while she knows that fans, the streamer, and possibly others who work on the series would like to continue, Cuoco also sounds like she wants to make sure that they aren’t forcing the story just to keep things going. Showrunner Steve Yockey had said something similar when asked about The Flight Attendant Season 3, and noted that they have no problem coming up with wild cases for Cassie to get involved in, but that “it’s harder to tell her emotional story.” Cuoco continued:

See? Kaley Cuoco isn’t actually against the idea of bringing viewers more, she just wants to make sure they have a solid story in place for Cassie if they do it. After all, let’s not forget that The Flight Attendant Season 1 plot was based on the book of the same name, so they hard to start basically from scratch to give us the second season. There’s no harm in delighting in what we have of The Flight Attendant so far, and waiting to see if Cuoco, Yockey and the rest of their team can come up with a story deserving of a third season.

Kaley Cuoco revealed her new relationship with Ozarks’ Tom Pelphrey just a few weeks ago on her social media. Since then, the new Hollywood couple has been sharing candid shots here and there. It was a pleasant change of pace after the hard year she experienced following her split from Karl Cook. With her and Pelphrey’s romance in the public sphere, her Flight Attendant co-star dished on her new beau.

Since starring as BFFs on the HBO Max series, Cuoco and Zosia Mamet’s onscreen chemistry has bled over into real-life as Mamet helped her get back on track post-divorce. Watching your best friend fall in love again after a devastating heartbreak is (generally) a cathartic moment for everyone involved. Listening is one thing, but Mamet felt the same connection Cuoco had with Pelphrey. As the actress mentioned, all you want is your friends to be happy and feel loved again. With her off-screen bestie being the last to meet her new boyfriend, Kaley Cuoco couldn’t help but feel bad for the two people closest to her not meeting earlier.

Well, at least, her BFF and new beau finally met and connected instantly. So, things worked out overall. Hopefully, followers will get to see photos of Cuoco, Mamet, and Pelphrey hanging out together at some point.

Her new relationship appeared to be a personal bright spot after a mixed year of personal lows and professional highs. The Big Bang Theory alum chatted with fellow divorcee Kelly Clarkson as they drank some wine while speaking on their splits. Of course, Clarkson understood the sitcom star's heartbreak given she and her former husband Brandon Blackstock were officially declared “divorced” in 2021. To note, the 8 Simple Rules vet and her ex were seemingly amicable while lending her support after their separation. But the OG American Idol star and her ex experienced a difficult dissolution, fighting over child custody and their Montana ranch. Still, the two stars found a common ally in each other.

Well, folks, you can finally remove those seat belts and move about the cabin, as The Flight Attendant Season 2 ending has come in for a landing after setting Cassie and her friends off on a new adventurous mystery to solve, as part of the 2022 TV schedule. As one of the best shows on HBO Max, the Kaley Cuoco-starring series returned and gave fans a lot more action, brand new characters in a new setting, and more of that dark comedy that we’ve come to know and love from the humorous thriller. 

But, another big part of the show also came back in full force, as we watched Cassie come to terms with some major personal issues, and heal amid yet another (rather traumatic) mystery. So, let’s look at how Cassie was able to finally grow up a lot more since The Flight Attendant Season 1 ending!

Cassie Admitted To Being “Deeply Flawed” And Accepted The Many Sides Of Her Personality

Cassie’s “mind palace” was (somewhat unexpectedly) back for the second season, after she’d gone through and closed the mental space down at the end of The Flight Attendant Season 1. But, this time, instead of being populated with a very dead Alex Sokolov, it was filled with four versions of Cassie, who represented the different sides of her personality that she was now trying to cover up while in recovery from her alcohol addiction. 

As she was being chased around a giant home by her supposed fellow AA member, Jenny (Jessie Ennis), who was actually stalking Cassie for the now-imprisoned Feliks (Colin Woodell), Cassie realized that she’d gotten herself into another big mess because of her actions, and finally took full responsibility by telling Jenny, “I am a deeply flawed, sad alcoholic, narcissistic, thrill addict.” In doing this, Cassie has finally given in and accepted all of herself, even the bad parts, instead of attempting to hide them behind a falsified recovery. 

When The Flight Attendant’s co-showrunners/executive producers, Steve Yockey and Natalie Chaidez, discussed the finale with TV Insider, Yockey said of the moment:

As Yockey noted, Cassie’s mind palace disappeared when she finally accepted her whole self, as did the other Cassies.

Cassie’s Helped Solve Another Major Case

Our dear, messy flight attendant / CIA asset is certainly correct about her “thrill” addiction, as it was her clear desire to solve the puzzle of Alex’s murder (despite the danger to herself) that put her on the radar of CIA regional director, Dot (Cheryl Hines). The woman then used the probability of her new asset to go off book and get into trouble against Cassie. Dot convinced former military cohort Grace (Mae Martin) to both get close to Cassie by signing up to be a flight attendant, and also to impersonate Cassie and kill the people Dot ordered her to. 

Dot had also sent Cassie the View-Master and other evidence against her, knowing that she’d be unable to pass up the opportunity to investigate, which would only get her into deeper trouble. Once Cassie got inside Dot’s home (which was actually a set up so that Dot could kill her), all of the pieces fell into place for her. Luckily, Cassie had already enlisted Shane (Griffin Matthews) to help her, with her CIA handler, Benjamin (Mo McRae) also getting enough info from Cassie to figure out that Dot was behind the whole plot. 

This means that Cassie is, according to Shane, “golden at the CIA” in spite of her rarely sticking to the small missions they give her. And, Chaidez noted to TV Insider that that accomplishment will help Cassie into the future:

She Finally Had A Good Conversation With Her Mom

One of the definite bright spots of The Flight Attendant Season 2 was the moment where we see Cassie reunite with her mother, Lisa (played brilliantly by Sharon Stone) in Episode 6. And, when I say “bright spot,” I do mean “emotionally devastating moment filled with painful truths,” OK? After both women are set up by Davey (T.R. Knight), and are forced to have this face-to-face meeting, we see Lisa tell Cassie she’s not mad for the things she did after her dad’s death as a kid, but the wrong she’s done as an adult. Lisa then told Cassie she loves her, but doesn’t “like” her, and slapped her, leaving Cassie and Davey stunned.

Well, after Cassie solved this season’s mystery and got on a plane to attend Annie (Zosia Mamet) and Max’s (Deniz Akdeniz) wedding in Las Vegas, she decided to call her mom. Cassie told Lisa “I heard you,” when talking about their last meeting, and stressed that she knows she has a long way to go but is slowly getting better and hopes that Lisa is willing to watch her recovery “from a very safe distance.” This clearly got through to Lisa, who told Cassie she'd like if they could talk again soon, with each then telling the other “I love you.” 

Cassie Seems To Realize Romance Isn’t A Good Idea For Her Right Now 

At the beginning of the season, when Cassie was pretending to be nearing a year of sobriety, she’d also been dating Marco (Santiago Cabrera) for several months. But, as he attempted to deepen their romance, Cassie pulled away, had sex with Benjamin, and then told Marco about it, which understandably led to him breaking up with her. 

Cut to Annie tossing the bouquet after her wedding, and even though she asked Cassie to play along, her good buddy simply refused to catch those flowers or the implied promise of a new romance. According to Yockey, this means that Cassie absolutely understands just how far she has to go right now when it comes to being ready for a relationship:

Right now, there’s been no word on whether or not The Flight Attendant will return for Season 3, so we’ll just have to wait and see whether or not we get a chance to watch Cassie continue to grow and understand how to heal her emotional wounds while solving another wild mystery in this Emmy nominated series.

Since HBO Max was launched back in May of 2020, a bunch of thrilling original content has hit the streaming service. One of the most successful projects is The Flight Attendant starring Kaley Cuoco, with Season 1 earning her Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. The second season just finished, but will The Flight Attendant get a Season 3 on HBO Max? Here’s the latest from the showrunner.

Season 2 of The Flight Attendant just wrapped up, ending another story starring Kaley Cuoco’s protagonist Cassie. While that finale only recently dropped on HBO Max, some fans are already wondering if the dramedy will be back for a third installment. Showrunner Steve Yockey was recently asked by THR is Cassie’s story has come to an end, responding with:

Well, there you have it. The Flight Attendant hasn’t been renewed for Season 3 just yet, and Steve Yockey and company have a very particular approach to the show’s story. The second season completed up a chapter for the character famously played by Kaley Cuoco, and there needs to be another emotional chapter for Cassie in order for a third season to work. We’ll just have to wait and see if there are any announcements by HBO.

Steve Yockey’s comments might be surprising to some fans out there, who might be assuming that he and the Flight Attendant cast and crew would be ready to dive back into the series for Season 3. While it’s still very possible that another season might come in the future, it was important that the first two ended in a satisfying way.

Season 2 of The Flight Attendant picked up a year after the events of Season 1, and followed as Cassie attempted to continue working for the FBI, while also maintaining her newly found sobriety. And while she wasn’t trying to figure out what happened after she blacked out, Cassie found that a double of hers was attempting to frame her for various international crimes. We also got to know more about her family trauma, especially related to her mother played by Sharon Stone.

It’s been well over a year since we were able to follow the wild, completely unplanned adventures of Cassie Bowden on the HBO Max hit dramedy, The Flight Attendant. The freshman season, which earned star/executive producer Kaley Cuoco her first ever Emmy nomination, followed the titular character as she became embroiled in a murder mystery after sleeping with one of her passengers. It gave viewers a number of exciting twists, explosive turns, and ended up being a hilarious dark comedy for a show about an alcoholic party girl who has to figure out whether or not she murdered someone while in a drunken stupor. 

Luckily for everyone awaiting the new season, The Flight Attendant Season 2 is set to hit the small screen on April 21 as part of the 2022 TV schedule. But, seeing as how it’s been a while since The Flight Attendant Season 1 ending, it seemed like a good idea to make sure that everyone recalls exactly what went down previously. So, here are the biggest things you should remember from The Flight Attendant before diving into Season 2!

Cassie Didn’t Kill Alex Sokolov!

Well this was certainly good news, right? Once Cassie realized (quite quickly) that she had little idea of what happened during her night with Alex because she’d gotten so drunk, she did have serious concerns about whether or not she’d somehow killed him (particularly with her being a suspect for the FBI). As Cassie began to remember what went on during the entirety of that night, she was also doing her own investigation and putting the pieces together about who was really after Alex.

Eventually, we found out that Cassie’s new good-time lover, Buckley, was actually a very dangerous/potentially unstable contract killer named Felix, who was hired to get access to Alex’s money before offing him. Felix had also been following Cassie since the murder, because the info he got from Alex about his accounts was false, and the assassin assumed Cassie would have the info. Which, of course, led to even more difficult situations for Cassie.

Cassie Escaped Felix/Buckley With Help From Some Friends!

Cassie wasn’t able to figure out who Buckley really was without help from an unusual source: Miranda, yet another dangerous person who’d been following Cassie in an attempt to get Alex’s money after his death. The two became unlikely allies, and Miranda helped come up with a plan to take down Felix/Buckley and get both her and Cassie out of trouble.

Unfortunately, that plan involved Cassie being bait and Miranda swooping in to kill Felix, and this did not go smoothly. Felix managed to subdue Miranda (more on her later) and Cassie’s Italian sometime-lover, Enrico. It seemed as though all was lost, until Cassie’s fellow flight attendant and friend, Shane, burst into the hotel room and saved everyone, revealing that he’d been an undercover CIA agent the whole time.

Cassie Is Now Sober!

To be fair, a lot of fans probably took a closer look at their lives after watching the intense events of The Flight Attendant Season 1, so it makes total sense that Cassie would do the same. As one might expect, when someone wakes up next to a dead body and has no idea what happened because they were completely out of it from being drunk, that person can easily come to the realization that, you know, maybe they rely on adult beverages too much. 

Cassie spent the entire first season trying to remember what went on with Alex, while also dealing with her near constant need for alcohol and investigating the parts of her past that led to her drinking problem. When she survives the Felix threat and finally has her name cleared with the FBI, she stops drinking, joins AA, and has gotten her first sobriety chip by the last minutes of the finale. We’ll be seeing Cassie’s tense relationship with her mom during the second season, so that is sure to test her resolve to quit drinking.

Megan Ran For Her Life!

You remember Megan, right? Cassie’s married close buddy who was also supervisor to their crew of flight attendants? Yeah, that’s her! Well, Megan seemed to also be a bit bored with her very domestic life, but instead of joining a club or taking a class, she decided to become a spy for the North Korean government.

It turned out that the reason Shane was undercover with Cassie’s flight crew is because of Megan’s activities. After a season of getting deeper and deeper into her illegal work and getting her husband in trouble because of it, Megan sees the error of her ways. She then leaves a bunch of money for her husband and son, along with a flash drive that will likely clear her innocent spouse, and takes off for parts unknown while the flight crew is in Rome. 

Cassie Is Now A CIA Asset!

I think most of us can probably agree that Cassie did a pretty good job of both staying alive and investigating Alex’s murder in Season 1, right? Well, the CIA felt the same, because in the final minutes of the first season, Shane revealed to Cassie that his boss was asking about her for their “human asset” program, but also noted that “they’re not gonna give you a gun or anything.” Yay for new business opportunities, I suppose! 

Miranda Is Still Alive!

Ah, that Miranda is a tricky one! But, that’s what happens when you’re paid good money to clean up big messes for important, rich people, which may lead to you killing folks if absolutely necessary, right? When Miranda’s inability to clean up after Felix got back to her boss, she also found herself on Cassie’s tail. But after learning that Cassie was way more in the dark than she originally thought, the two teamed up to fix things.

Their plan to take Felix down involved Miranda coming to Cassie’s aid, but instead, the savvy killer got to Miranda well before they could follow through, leaving her bloodied in Cassie’s hotel bathtub and appearing dead. But! Not only was Miranda not dead, she managed to quietly escape Cassie’s room as the flight attendant fought Felix. In the end, Miranda managed to slip Cassie a note to let her know that she finally got Alex’s account info and that she’d see Cassie soon. I can’t wait to find out what that means for Season 2! 

The Flight Attendant Season 2 has lots of surprises ready for fans when it debuts on Thursday, April 21, and it’s sure to continue being one of the best HBO Max originals!

The Flight Attendant established itself in Season 1 as one of the best shows on HBO Max, with its intriguing murder mystery, diverse cast of characters, and hot-mess Kaley Cuoco hijinks. The star and executive producer is set to suit up as Cassie Bowden again, and even while Cuoco’s alcoholic character will supposedly be a little less vodka-soaked in the new season, I’ve got a feeling she’s still going to find plenty of ways to get herself into trouble. Before all that starts, though, the cast got glammed up for some fun on the red carpet at the Season 2 premiere.

Having fun on set never seemed to be an issue for Kaley Cuoco and her co-stars on The Flight Attendant. The former Big Bang Theory actress often shared behind-the-scenes photos of the cast and crew goofing around — never mind the bloody and often tragic events that were happening within the script. That camaraderie seemed present on the red carpet, as the actors had no problem leaving the flight attendant uniforms behind, looking pretty damn good while they posed for photos at the premiere.

In Season 2, Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie will still be working alongside Shane (Griffin Matthews, wearing an intricately detailed green suit and pictured with husband Matt Gould) and Jada (Yasha Jackson, looking lovely in a lavender jumpsuit) when the HBO Max drama returns April 21. She’ll also be rejoined by brother Davey (T.R. Knight) and BFF Annie (Zosia Mamet). Alanna Ubach joins the cast for Season 2 as Carol Atkinson, an icy flight attendant who is not a fan of Cassie. 

The leading actress also took time for some photos with on-and-off screen best friend Zosia Mamet. Annie must be one of the most loyal friends on TV, sticking by Cassie, even when she didn’t deserve it, and I can’t wait to see what Season 2 brings. It’s also so heart-warming that the friendship between the “adorable widdle smooshes” clearly continued after the cameras stopped rolling.

Season 2 will present some new challenges for Kaley Cuoco’s character. After the near-disastrous events of Season 1, Cassie realized she needed to quit drinking. Given how many miniature bottles of vodka the flight attendant was capable of downing, I’d imagine that’s going to be a tough habit to break on its own. More drama awaits her — and her brother, no doubt — with the introduction of Sharon Stone to The Flight Attendant. 

The iconic actress will play Lisa, Cassie’s mother, who cut off contact with Cassie when she no longer had the patience to deal with her daughter’s alcoholism. Maybe her new TV mother is what had Kaley Cuoco “pulling her hair out” at the Season 2 premiere?

Also joining The Flight Attendant as series regulars for the second season are Mo McRae as Benjamin Berry, the CIA agent Cassie's assigned to who has a reputation for getting close to his assets; Callie Hernandez as Gabrielle Diaz, a quick-tempered and calculating bounty hunter whose impulse-control issues often get in the way of her job; and JJ Soria as Esteban Diaz, Gabrielle’s partner and lover who tries to keep a level head and stay focused on the job, but often gets just as heated as his girlfriend.

The Flight Attendant really hit the ground running when it debuted on HBO Max in late 2020. Kaley Cuoco’s first post-The Big Bang Theory series racked up great reviews, lots of fans (it’s absolutely something you should watch if you enjoy Cuoco), and was even nominated for several Emmys and other awards. So, it makes sense that millions of people are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Season 2, and now that it’s getting close to being done with filming, Cuoco has shared all of the fun the cast and crew had on set.

What Did Kaley Cuoco Say About Filming The Flight Attendant Season 2?

Kaley Cuoco is quite active on Instagram, and loves sharing photos of her friends (with co-star Zosia Mamet being a BFF) and family, along with giving fans a good behind-the-scenes look at herself and those she works with on The Flight Attendant. As the show began wrapping on Season 2 a few days ago, Cuoco has been giving everyone a glimpse of how much fun filming was for, apparently, all involved. And, she’s done a very good job of showing instead of telling. Take a look!

Now, I have to say, those first two photos in Cuoco’s post make it seem as though working on The Flight Attendant Season 2 was all meditative moments in fancy rooms with lots of good, natural light. But, as we saw in her post to celebrate the first week of filming, the action really picked up, and her third shot shows her among a jubilant group of co-workers in what appears to be some sort of freight elevator (those are always covered floor to ceiling in padding). And, truth be told, if that is where they are, we can probably all fully rest assured that most of filming was a total blast. I mean, like, who’s ever had this much fun in an elevator?

That’s followed by a series of shots showing how much silliness everybody got up to, including Cuoco and a near-look-alike (who’s also dressed like her) eating what I’m going to guess are Girl Scout cookies in bed, Cuoco giving the camera a double middle-finger during a break in filming, and more. One of my favorites, though, might be the picture of an unidentified sleeping man who’s clearly exhausted, and has had a “Hot Set, Please Do Not Sit” sign placed upon his chest. I also appreciate when no one randomly sits on my torso as I try to nap, so I’m sure he was grateful!

All of this definitely bodes well for the camaraderie on the set of The Flight Attendant, which hopefully means that the new season will be just as much of a thrilling, funny, cohesive ride as the first. We only know a bit about the plot for the new set of episodes, with Cuoco’s Cassie now being a CIA asset after her adventures in Season 1, and she'll still be struggling with alcoholism, despite her resolve to quit drinking.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 also added Sharon Stone to the cast to play Cassie’s estranged mom, so all bets are that fans will love whatever crazy drama there is to come. There’s no return date set for The Flight Attendant just yet, but in the meantime, be sure to see what you can watch right now with the 2022 TV premiere dates! 

While traveling in the real world remains a touchy subject given the ongoing pandemic, many TV viewers likely can’t wait to live vicariously through Kaley Cuoco’s Cassie Bowden’s globe-trotting on HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant when it returns for Season 2. The former Big Bang Theory star is always quick to hype her nomination-friendly streaming series, but it’s her co-star and newest BFF Zosia Mamet that received an extra special display of love and affection with a post celebrating Mamet’s 34th birthday.

In the same week that she shared an Instagram Stories video noting Zosia Mamet’s final day of filming for The Flight Attendant’s sophomore season, Kaley Cuoco also showered compliments and other kind words down upon the birthday girl, who turned 34 on February 2. Here’s the photo-filled post on Instagram, which kicks off with the actresses rocking Minnie Mouse ears during a Disney theme park trip.

Kaley Cuoco previously shared other imagery from recent Disney-fied trips with her co-stars, which seems like a solid crowd to go park-hopping with. But it doesn’t take an amusement park to see the adoring kinship flowing openly between her and Zosia Mamet. As much as Annie deals with constant frustrations about Cassie’s unreliable nature, it seems like the actress will always be able to rely on Cuoco for emotional support, and probably roller coasters. 

One doesn’t simply wear matching peanut butter and jelly shirts with shady strangers, after all. It takes a connection. It takes commitment. It takes fruity preserves and trust.  

If I were to put my speculation hat on over or beneath my birthday party hat, I might think that Cuoco’s heightened emotions and rabid Mamet appreciation here recently could be a slight hint that the latter star’s character Annie may not be around beyond Season 2. Nothing like that has been confirmed, obviously, but it does sound a little like Cuoco knows they won’t be working together on this show again. But now I’m putting my optimism hat on top of my other head coverings, and I believe Annie is going to live!

Kaley Cuoco followed up on the birthday post by tossing some love to other members of the cast and crew, and confirmed that filming for Season 2 is concluding. Check out that post and all of its picturesque glory below! 

While not a whole lot of details have been spread around regarding what Season 2 will deliver later this year amidst HBO and HBO Max’s stacked programming slate, no doubt the biggest update involved the casting of Sharon Stone as Cassie’s mother Lisa, who returns to her daughter’s life after being estranged due to alcoholism factors. Can’t wait to see how that complicates things for all involved.

The Flight Attendant doesn’t currently have a Season 2 premiere date set in stone, but fans can likely anticipate something more concrete being announced in the near future now that filming is wrapping up. Or, perhaps just the whole entire show revolving around a dark purpose. Streaming platforms from all over have come up with some awesome ideas, hysterical moments and so much more that they have truly become hits. 

Shows like Dead to Me, Barry or even The Boys have become so popular that today, we’re going to do a dedicated article just for them. So, if you’re looking for some of the best dark comedy TV shows, be sure to check these picks out. 

Dead To Me (Netflix)

In this Netflix original show, Dead to Me tells the story of two women who have both gone through horrible losses, both losing their husbands and having to learn how to live with their grief through grief counseling. However, one of them is hiding the secret of a lifetime - and it’ll be huge if this secret gets out. 

Dead to Me is one those shows where at first, it may be a little slow to start, but after the first episode, you’ll be drawn in to watch every single episode afterwards. Both Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini are brilliant in their leading roles and have such amazing chemistry, paired with a story that’s enthralling from start to end.

It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia (Hulu)

I’m sure at some point you’ve heard of this show. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is a dark comedy taking place in the Pennsylvania city of Philadelphia, following a group of not so great people - Dennis and Dee, siblings, their friends, Mac and Charlie, and their “father,” Frank. 

I feel like I don’t need to convince you to watch this show. You already know how great It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is. It’s literally the longest running (live-action) comedy show ever for a reason, because it has such a large fanbase and continuously adapts to some of the darkest humor. This gang has truly done some horrible things - and honestly, we’re just here for the fun ride and the dark comedic laughs.

Kevin Can F*** Himself (AMC+)

One of the newer shows on this list, Kevin Can F*** Himself is a dark comedy about Allison, a seemingly normal woman who is trying to find her place in the world while living with the titular Kevin, a man who barely knows how to take care of himself and is sucking the literal life out of her. 

What makes this dark comedy so amazing is that Kevin Can F*** Himself is almost like a hybrid show. On the moments where it wants to show the amazing perspectives of her life, we are taken to a typical sitcom where there is canned laughter and several cameras, but when we dive deep down into the seriousness of her life, it feels more like a drama mixed in with dark comedy. It’s such an enigma of a show and one that any television buff can enjoy. Annie Murphy is also stellar in it.

Barry (HBO Max)

HBO knocked it out of the park with this one. Barry is all about the titular character, Barry, a discharged Marine who decides to take the next step in his life by becoming a paid-for-hire hitman. However, when one of his jobs sends him to Los Angeles, he ends up with more drama than he ever could have thought through the theater geeks of the city. 

Barry is an amazing dark comedy. Not only is Bill Hader, the star of the show, fantastic in his line delivery and comedic timing (I mean, obviously, as an SNL alumnus), his moments of pure drama clash perfectly with his expert jokes. I mean, I never would have thought I’d enjoy a comedy about a hitman “finding himself” in L.A. of all people, but Barry pulls it off so well.

BoJack Horseman (Netflix)

The first animated show on this list, BoJack Horseman is an adult animated series on Netflix that tells the story of the titular character, BoJack. He’s a washed-up celebrity who is trying to see if he can make a comeback in life, so he decides to write a tell-all biography with the help of a ghostwriter, in order for his relevance to come back. 

Don’t let the word “animation” turn you off. This show is just as expertly done in its dark comedy as any of the others on this list. BoJack Horseman is the perfect balance of edgy, dark jokes and really raw moments that make you think. Not only will this show make you laugh, but it deals with heavy issues such as depression, anxiety, mental disorders, grief, and so much more.

After Life (Netflix)

Starring comedy legend Ricky Gervais, After Life is a dark comedy that tells the tale of a husband who loses his wife tragically. So, he decides to give the middle finger to the rest of the world as depression settles in, and he starts to turn everyone away by being a jerk - but of course, this is turned around on him as well. 

After Life is probably one of the lesser known shows on this list just because it’s not really promoted as much, but it’s certainly still worth the time to watch. Ricky Gervais is wonderful in his leading role, and it’s so strange to see him act as a man that’s so bitter about the rest of the world when everyone tries to help him. It’s also a great exploration into what happens to our after life after someone we love passes away, and how we can learn to live through grief. Season 3 just came out, so be sure to watch it now.

Fargo (Hulu)

Inspired by the 1996 film of the same name, Fargo is an anthology series mixed in with black comedy that takes place in several different states in America, with completely new stories, characters, and a mystery that will captivate you from beginning to end. 

What I love about Fargo is that while it does have a lot of hysterical moments that make me laugh, it also focuses a lot on the mystery that surrounds these areas. But it doesn’t focus too much where the show starts to feel too dramatic. It’s like the perfect balance of both genres and it shows through how many awards this show has gotten. While Season 5 hasn’t been ordered yet, hopefully we’ll get another season soon. And if you haven’t watched it, binge it now.

Rick And Morty (HBO Max)

Probably one of the most known animated shows ever at this point, Rick and Morty is a sci-fi series mixed in with black comedy that follows the titular characters, Rick and Morty, a grandfather-grandson partnership that travels the galaxies through strange portals, weird worlds, and so much more. 

Rick and Morty is exactly what I think of when I think dark comedy. This show was made for adults, or at the very youngest, teenagers. It’s jokes are expertly timed and voiced to perfection, mixing in older references that older fans will enjoy and newer references to people who are just getting into the show. What makes this series so great however is that it still somehow keeps a crazy storyline as the show goes on. 

As zany and ridiculous as it gets, Rick and Morty has a deep, personal story that has its dark moments of intensity - just look at one of its lead characters, Rick Sanchez. Such a compelling and complex character mixed in with brilliant dark comedy. Truly, if dark comedy is your thing, watch this one.

The End Of The F***ing World (Netflix)

This show is truly f***ing hilarious. The End of the F***ing World is a dark comedy about two teens, both with their own issues - one that thinks he’s a psychopath and the other that just has a crap life. They use this to their advantage to head out on a crazy adventure together. 

I have to admit, I feel like The End of the F***ing World is for a specific kind of audience. While it does have dark humor, its delivery is unlike any other show and its two lead actors are some of the best younger actors I’ve seen, creating a dark comedy experience unlike any other. There’s so much that happens in this show I don’t want to give much away, but trust me, you should watch it. It’s seriously good.

The Flight Attendant (HBO Max)

This HBO Max original is so much fun. The Flight Attendant is about a young woman, who works as a flight attendant (hence the title). Her life is a bit of a mess, mixed in with partying, drugs, alcohol and more. But one morning, she wakes up next to a dead body and has no idea how this happened - or who did it - and she takes it upon herself to figure it out, step by step. 

While The Flight Attendant teeters more on just regular comedy-drama than pure dark comedy, I do think that the premise of the show puts it in that category. I mean, if you woke up to a dead body, the heck would you do? Scream? Yeah, me too, but this woman basically becomes a whole-ass detective and tries to figure out exactly what happened through hilarious means, and I can appreciate her for that. The show is also a great showcase of Kaley Cuoco’s acting talent and she deserves all the awards, everywhere.

The Boys (Amazon Prime)

Last, but certainly not least, we have the superhero series, The Boys. This Amazon original series takes place in a world where superheroes aren’t just superheroes - they’re marketing tools, press releases, toys, movie stars, and everything else. But these superheroes have dark secrets behind those masks. And one by one, they’ll all get revealed. 

In a world that is filled to the brim with superheroes through the MCU or the DCEU, The Boys is a refreshing take on the genre. Not only are its dark moments very dark (I mean, that opening scene had me laughing and crying - if you know, you know), the show is just bloody entertaining - literally. This series, which doesn't shy away from violence, is not for the faint of heart. The Boys cast is full of talent, and the story perfectly captures the reality of being a superhero. Such a great one that you should watch, for sure. Now, if Season 3 of The Boys could just come out. I have to check my 2022 TV schedule to make room for it on my calendar.

Truly, these are some of the best shows you can watch right now out there, and when you do, you won’t regret it. You just might have a new favorite show. Now, if you don’t mind me, I’ll be patiently waiting for The Boys Season 3. 

A big name is joining the cast of The Flight Attendant for Season 2. The HBO Max thriller starring Kaley Cuoco will delve more into Cassie’s upbringing in Season 2, with Sharon Stone signing on to play Cassie’s mother Lisa Bowden. Nothing goes better together than newfound sobriety and a judgy mother, right?

Season 1 focused a good bit on Cassie’s relationship with her father, and the tragic accident that contributed to her alcoholism. Sharon Stone’s role as Lisa is certain to only further examine the trauma that continues to haunt Cassie, as Deadline reports Season 2 will focus more on their relationship. Cassie and her mother were reportedly estranged after Lisa no longer had the patience to deal with her daughter’s alcoholism.

The new season will see Cassie Bowden continuing to work with the CIA on some level as part of the agency's human asset program. The events of Season 1 forced Cassie to admit she had a drinking problem, and Season 2 will show the struggles she has staying sober, which undoubtedly is where her mother Lisa will factor in, through one way or another. It also seems like Cassie is in for more romance, as Mo McRae is joining the cast as Benjamin Berry, the CIA agent Cassie's assigned to who happens to have a reputation for getting close to his assets.

Also joining The Flight Attendant as series regulars for the second season are Callie Hernandez, a quick-tempered and calculating bounty hunter whose impulse-control issues often get in the way of her job, and JJ Soria as Esteban Diaz, Gabrielle’s partner and lover who tries to keep a level head and stay focused on the job, but often gets just as heated as his girlfriend. 

T.R. Knight will return in a recurring role as Cassie’s brother, Davie, who had his own complicated relationship with his father, so we’ll see how that family dynamic continues to reveal itself in Season 2 with the addition of Sharon Stone. Also returning are series regulars Zosia Mamet as Cassie's BFF Annie, Griffin Matthews, Deniz Akdeniz as Annie's boyfriend Max, and Rosie Perez as flight attendant Megan, who was already under investigation by the CIA. 

Sharon Stone is a legend, with hundreds of acting credits to her name, including Basic Instinct, The Quick and the Dead, Casino and The Disaster Artist. Recently she's appeared in the Netflix limited series Ratched and in 2021 published her memoir The Beauty of Living Twice, in which she details her journey of healing, love, and purpose on and off sound stages around the world. Now she can look forward to giving Kaley Cuoco a slice of motherly hell in the streaming dramedy.

If you’re looking for something full of mystery, be sure to check out The Flight Attendant. This HBO Max original series stars Kaley Cuoco, and tells the story of a young woman, who is a flight attendant (hence the name), and has a crazy night with a passenger while intoxicated. But when she wakes up the next morning, she finds the guy dead - and she's unable to remember what happened. Now, she has to retrace her steps in order to figure out this mystery - and if she was the one who killed him. 

While Kaley Cuoco became super famous from roles like The Big Bang Theory, I love her in this show even more. You really get to see her acting talents shine, as she gets to show off her impressive skills as a dramatic actress as well as a comedic actress. The mystery is fun from beginning to end, and with Season 2 on its way, now is the perfect time to binge Season 1. Definitely one of the best HBO Max original shows.

Hop (Netflix)

Out of all the holidays, have you ever wondered how the Easter Bunny operates? That’s what Hop tries to display. In this partially animated children’s film, a regular guy ends up hurting the Easter Bunny in a silly accident, and now he has to take it upon himself to try and nurse the mythical creature back to hopping around and delivering his eggs like normal. 

Alright, I’ll be honest - Hop isn’t the best animated/live-action holiday movie out there. There are tons that do this concept a little better. But what I can appreciate about this is Kaley Cuoco and her character, Samantha. I love the relationship she has with her on-screen brother, Fred (played by James Marsden), and her scenes with E.B. (Easter Bunny) are genuinely a lot of fun. Do I think the film could have been a little better? Yeah, but it’s still an enjoyable movie nonetheless.

Charmed (Season 8 - Peacock)

I bet you didn’t think Cuoco would show up here, huh? Charmed, a popular fantasy series for several years, tells the legendary tale of three sisters who have amazing magical powers, from spells to charms to anything you could think of. Together, they use their combined magical power to stop some of the darkest forces the world has to offer, like warlocks, evil wizards, and more. 

Charmed included Kaley Cuoco as a main character in the last season, playing Billie, and while her character was controversial for a few reasons, I still enjoyed her portrayal. It was a nice change of pace for someone who was primarily a comedic actor at the time and I enjoyed seeing her in something that didn’t always have a laugh track where she could really show off her skills. If you haven’t seen Charmed at all, I do think you should watch it. It’s such a great series, and with a lot of fun magical tricks and good lessons to learn.

The Penthouse (Tubi)

You want a fun comedy film that will surely make you chuckle? Check out The Penthouse. In this movie, three friends who have known each other practically their whole lives live in a penthouse, the ultimate bachelor pad. But soon, one of those friends gets a girlfriend - and the other has a sister who is a little too comfortable staying in the apartment. Will this be the end of their bachelor years forever?

Kaley Cuoco plays Erica Roth, one of the aforementioned girls who starts to stir things up in the penthouse, and I have to say I really enjoyed her performance in this. I also really liked her scenes with April Scott, who plays Trista in The Penthouse, since the two girls end up causing so much drama it practically causes the house to meltdown. It’s a fun R-rated comedy movie that has plenty of fun moments, mixed in well with a sick looking apartment.

8 Simple Rules (ABC)

If you wanted to see what made Kaley Cuoco break out into the TV world before her hit science sitcom, check out 8 Simple Rules. This popular sitcom followed a common theme for shows at the time, centering on parents who are trying to raise their children in this crazy world, except in this household, the father has his set of rules regarding his children, and how he believes they deserve to be treated. 

To be honest, when I first watched this show I didn’t think I’d be the hugest fan just because I thought it would be like any other sitcom at the time, but I was gladly mistaken when I saw Kaley Cuoco's performance in this. She was so great as Bridget, one of the daughters, and her steady transformation over the three seasons, from a pretty stereotypical teenager to a mature young woman, is worthy of praise. I wish the show had gotten more seasons but I highly recommend you to watch it for yourself.

Killer Movie (Amazon Prime)

Satire films are always exciting if done well, and I think that Killer Movie was a great way of showing what can be done with a good cast. In Killer Movie, a director decides to shoot a reality show about a town’s hockey team, but soon, this show turns deadly when a killer starts to take out all his cast members, from annoying celebrities to normal everyday people. 

Kaley Cuoco plays Blanca Champion, a celebrity with a problematic past mixed in with all the other regular cast members and she causes drama, y'all. I didn’t think that Kaley Cuoco could act like a mean girl so well but she does it perfectly in Killer Movie, and her mixed in with the horror movie aspect and the mystery of it all really makes this a fun movie to watch. Out of everyone in the cast, I believe that she did the best.

Ladies Man (Crackle)

From another sitcom on this list, Kaley Cuoco played Bonnie Stiles in Ladies Man, starring Alfred Molina and Sharon Lawrence. In this short-lived show, we follow the story of Jimmy Stiles, a normal everyday man who is living with a ton of women in the same house as the only man. And truly, his life is filled with adventures every day. 

Kaley Cuoco took over the part of Bonnie in Season 2, and I personally think she captures the character a little better through her mannerisms and more. The whole cast is really great, having good chemistry and creating some pretty funny stories. Betty White is a star in this as well, playing Jimmy’s mother, and her scenes are truly spectacular. I wish the show had gone on for longer. Two seasons doesn’t feel like enough.

Harley Quinn (HBO Max)

There are plenty of interpretations of Harley Quinn now in the modern world of superhero movies and shows, but one of my favorites has been Kaley Cuoco’s Harley Quinn. This HBO Max original show documents the story of Harley Quinn, the famous DC antihero and her trials and tribulations of trying to become a villain that is taken seriously and not just considered the Joker’s sidekick, through building her own team, finding her own companions and more. 

Harley Quinn is such a great show. As a DC fan and someone who loves adult animated cartoons, this is the perfect mix of both and Kaley Cuoco’s voice-acting skills are truly out of this world fantastic. I never would have imagined that she, of all people, could shine as the classic antihero but honestly, I don’t think I want to hear another person voice Harley. Kaley Cuoco rocks it in so many ways, and her character is hilarious to watch. If you’re a fan of superheroes, definitely watch this. Now I just need Season 3.

The Big Bang Theory (HBO Max)

I mean, you came here for this, didn’t ya? The Big Bang Theory is one of the most known sitcoms probably of all time, telling the story of Sheldon and Leonard. These two are brilliant - like they could “probably save the world” kind of brilliant - but even if their knowledge of the universe is as expansive as their brains, that doesn’t help them socially. However, everything changes when Penny - a woman with a lot of personality - moves in right next to them, turning their calculated worlds upside down. 

The Big Bang Theory was a huge hit for many reasons, with all of its stars getting paid a ridiculous amount of money near its final seasons for how popular it was. Kaley Cuoco became a big-time star after this for good reason, as her character is iconic, with plenty of hilarious quotes, storylines, and more to keep you entertained. The whole show is really worth the time to watch and something that everyone should see at least once, especially for the moments when Sheldon knocks on Penny’s door several times.

The Wedding Ringer (Amazon Rental)

Lastly, we have The Wedding Ringer. This romantic comedy, mixed in with a hilarious buddy film, is all about a guy who is getting close to his wedding date, day by day. Because he’s never been that social, he has no groomsmen for his wedding, so he takes it upon himself to go to a company that he can pay to provide him with “fake” groomsmen. However, this in turn leads to him having to deal with many more problems down the line, and hilarities ensue.

The Wedding Ringer, to me, has always been funny. I always enjoy it for many reasons, and that’s mainly because I think Kaley Cuoco was really great in her role as the leading lady, playing Gretchen Palmer. This poor girl just wanted a regular wedding and her future husband ended up changing that real quick, and Cuoco just does a great job of showing those emotions, combined with some hysterical moments. Also, Kevin Hart rocks it in his leading role, as well as Josh Gad, the man getting married. Definitely a fun one in my opinion, even if some of the movie can lag at certain points.

There are plenty of options to check out on your next movie night to watch here. Or maybe you want to find a new show to binge. Whatever the case and whichever you pick, it’s certainly going to be fun and worth the time to watch because of the wonderfully talented, Kaley Cuoco. 

While many people are scrambling to finish their Christmas shopping before the holiday actually arrives, HBO and HBO Max have delivered a whopper of a gift that'll probably eclipse most other last-minute offerings. The network and streaming service unveiled a shared promo for all the massive shows debuting in 2022, with first looks galore at new seasons for hits such as Westworld (Season 4) and The Flight Attendant (Season 2), as well as debuting series like the Game of Thrones spinoff House of the Dragon and many more. Check it all out above before getting into some closer introspection below.

2022 looks to be a massive year for the premium cable network and its sister streaming service, with lots of big returning series coupled with all-new premieres. I know I cannot wait to see more from the hilarious Righteous Gemstones ensemble, and interest is also high for Julian Fellowes' Downton Abbey follow-up The Gilded Age. But my sci-fi-addled brain is admittedly most interested at the moment in those first looks at the long-awaited fourth season of Westworld. 

The very second shot of the trailer is of Thandiwe Newton's Maeve walking around on a windy day, which doesn't really give fans a whole lot to speculate about. (Beyond maybe a source direction for the wind, but that's hardly fun.) But then I guess that's part of the point, since each of the first looks at Season 4 are quick, fairly static, and provide barely any clues about what's coming next. We don't even get to see the face of returning star Jeffrey Wright as wayward host Bernard, who was last seen covered in dust and returning from a (mental) trip to the Valley Beyond. It looks like he's emerging from a shipping container in the video, but it's obviously hard to pinpoint details without further footage.

And then we have Aaron Paul's Caleb in the shot just above. I'm going to try hard not to just wail bemusedly about his hair hanging in his face, while wondering if Caleb joined a pop-punk band in the aftermath of Season 3. But where is he exactly? Everyone looks fairly dressed up around him. Is it a wedding? A church service? A spelling bee? Is this possibly Suit Jacket World, one of Delos' least promising new parks? 

If you want to spell trouble, then Ed Harris' Man in Black is your guy. Although he's technically not a "man" anymore, per se, with the human version being killed off in the Season 3 finale and replaced by the host version. But he's obviously still close enough to the real thing to go out wandering in the real world with Caleb and other biologically natural creatures. I can't imagine his stare in the image above is one that will lead to pleasantries. 

And the final new look at Westworld Season 4 is arguably its most vague one. It seems like this would be following up on the aftermath in the Season 3 finale, though I guess there's not enough chaos and destruction. Could one of those unidentified characters be our first confirmation of Evan Rachel Wood's return as Delores?

There are seemingly even fewer new shots from Kaley Cuoco's Emmy-nominated HBO Max dramedy thriller The Flight Attendant. Beyond an early shot of Cuoco looking surprised — something this show is downright full of — there's the intriguing shot above, with the character Cassie sitting at a bar in front of myriad liquor bottles. Considering Cassie was meant to be getting control of her drinking problem following the events of Season 1, this may not bode well for her willpower and self control. Had she been frowning or in distress, that'd have been one thing, but that smile feels a little suspect. 

Even though we have all these awesome new looks at HBO and HBO Max's new shows, the premiere dates are another issue entirely, since almost all of those are still up in the air. But be sure and bookmark our 2022 TV premiere schedule to see all the new and returning shows on the way!

Netflix has recently been dropping hits daily, with major winners like the show Squid Game, or popular movies like Red Notice. One of their latest miniseries, True Story,  stars comedian Kevin Hart. In this dramatic thriller, Hart plays Kid, a well-known comedian who is back in town and reunites with his brother. But, when one scandalous night turns into something far more dangerous than anyone expected, it’s up to Kid, his brother, and everyone else to clean it up - before it all gets even worse. 

Kevin Hart uses True Story to further show that he is far more than just his hilarious movies, which is why a miniseries like that is so easy to binge. Now that you’re done watching, you might be wondering what else is out there that's similarly entertaining. Look no further, because we've got some great picks here. 

Blindspotting  

Starz's Blindspotting, from Hamilton star Daveed Diggs, is based on the movie of the same name, and follows its lead, Ashley. When her husband, Miles, is thrown into jail, Ashley has to now learn to live as a single-mother, raising her young son now that his father is gone. What makes it worse is that she has to move in with Miles’ family, including his mother and half-sister, due to economic problems. 

When I first watched this series, I was a bit nervous, because I didn’t know if it would live up to the original movie. But, I’m glad to say that Blindspotting is an excellent piece of television that was rightly deserving of a Season 2. Jasmine Cephas Jones is brilliant in the lead role, and such a fun protagonist to follow, and for fans of True Story, Ashley is the perfect character that defines “when life gives you lemons, try and make lemonade,” as she attempts to get her family out of a rough situation.

Yellowjackets  

This new Showtime series has been making headlines for how awesome it is. Yellowjackets is a thriller that follows the story of a girl’s soccer team. As they are traveling over Canada to get to a tournament, their plane crashes, and now they must learn to survive in the wilderness for several months. While there, they descend into madness, turning to cannibalism and creating clans, until they are saved. Now, in 2021, they reflect on their time back then as adults - while also facing new problems right around the corner. 

Dude. Yellowjackets is so good. Like, ridiculously good. For fans of True Story, you’ll absolutely love the drama and the thriller moments that will pull you in right from the start, making you want to keep watching. The Yellowjackets cast is so talented (not only the young actresses, but their older counterparts), and truly create a wild story. Trust me, this is a new show you have to watch.

Chernobyl 

This show won several awards when it first aired. Chernobyl is about the Chernobyl disaster in Ukraine. This tale chronicles the people who tried to stop the spread of radiation to other parts of the country, including the brave souls that sacrificed themselves in order to do so.

Chernobyl is a TV show, so you have to expect that it’ll take some artistic liberties when it comes to how true to actual events it is, but for the most part, the series tells a haunting story of a disaster and people trying to stop it from hurting everyone else -  like what Kevin Hart’s character, Kid, does in True Story, albeit on a much smaller scale. Even so, this is a drama that you don’t want to miss, and will be interested in from the very beginning. Truly one of HBO’s best shows.

You 

Oh, You. This Netflix series is the perfect thriller to start watching now. Joe Goldberg is a seemingly ordinary man, unless it comes to love. When he falls in love with you, he will do anything to get to you, including murder those who he thinks are bad for you. But, it’s all in the name of love, right? It’s all to protect you, right? 

God, You is such a trip. For fans of True Story, this is the perfect show to watch because not only does it have a surprisingly likable lead character in Penn Badgley, but the story just doesn’t stop with the twists and turns, just like Kevin Hart’s miniseries. From one love interest to the next, Joe just doesn’t stop trying to fight for love - especially if he feels he’s a better person for doing some of the horrible things he does. He’s a complex character - and one that you’ll definitely learn to appreciate should you watch it. Just don’t let him fall in love with you next.

Nine Perfect Strangers 

Sometimes, it’s probably best to not trust these strange restorative retreats. Nine Perfect Strangers, based on the novel of the same name, follows several people who are residing at a 10-day restorative retreat to somehow come to terms with their past and move on with their lives. But, over time, they start to learn the dark secrets behind this place - and the bloody past of the woman who runs it. 

Nine Perfect Strangers is an amazing series from start to finish. Like True Story, you’ll be captivated by its characters' personalities and stories, and their meaningful relationships, from start to finish. What really makes this stand out above the rest is Nicole Kidman. She is the absolute star of this and acts her ass off, creating a character that not only feels unsettling, but who you end up feeling bad for near the end. I won’t reveal much, but it’s so good.

Breaking Bad

I mean, if you’re into dramas, this is the series to watch. Breaking Bad follows high school chemistry teacher Walter White, but when White finds out that he has cancer, he takes it upon himself to try and get money for his family so they will be settled after he dies. How does he do that? By making and distributing meth. 

Breaking Bad is known to be one of the best dramas for it’s brilliant character arcs, amazing scenery, fantastic acting - I mean, the Breaking Bad cast is just stunningly awesome in everything they do. For fans of True Story, this series will capture your attention instantly for its protagonist, one that you’ll feel for as he is forced to do certain things to try and keep his family safe. Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul are amazing, and gave us a five-season story that is worth watching over and over again.

Clickbait 

Another popular Netflix miniseries, Clickbait feels like something that could happen nowadays. It follows the story of Nick, a normal man, at least from the outside, who doesn’t look like he could hurt a fly. However, one day he is kidnapped and forced to hold signs in front of him during a video, saying that when it reaches five million views, he will be killed. Now, it’s up to his family and friends to try and find him - and figure out what on earth he could have done to deserve this. 

Clickbait is such a great miniseries to watch after True Story. Nick sort of reminds me of Kid’s brother, Carlton, as he looks like a totally normal man out the outside, but he has his own dark secrets and past that if exposed, could get him killed. Trust me, this is one that you don’t want to miss, and one that you’ll love from beginning to end.

Bodyguard

If you’re looking for another dramatic miniseries, be sure to check out Bodyguard. Starring Richard Madden, the thriller tells the story of a war veteran, hardened by putting his life on the line, who has retired from the army. He now works as a bodyguard through the police department in London, but, this job ends up turning into something a lot more deadly when he's assigned to protect a power-hungry politician. 

Bodyguard is a thrilling story from beginning to end. Madden (who had a major role in the Eternals cast) is particularly amazing in the lead, truly making you want to root for this poor guy suffering from PTSD. What really makes this such a good show for True Story fans to watch is the twists that it takes, and only in six episodes. It’s amazing how condensed it is, yet the story is so enthralling.

Your Honor 

Your Honor, which has already been ordered for Season 2, follows Bryan Cranston’s character, a judge. When his son accidentally kills the child of a mafia boss, his father has to choose between the law and keeping his family safe from harm, and of course, he ends up choosing his family, having to do dastardly deeds to somehow save his son.

Your Honor is entertaining from the very first episode. Bryan Cranston is always a win with his brilliant performances, but what really sells it for me are the interactions that he has with his son. He truly shows that fear that a father would have, as well as the conflicts with his morals, because he is a judge. Fans of True Story will see that Cranston’s character is like a parallel to Hart’s, as he would do anything to try and protect his family.

The Flight Attendant

Last but not least, we have The Flight Attendant. This HBO Max original series follows Kaley Cuoco’s character, a flight attendant who is a bit of a mess regarding alcohol and other issues. One day, she wakes up in the bed of a dead man, blood everywhere, unaware of what happened the night before. Now, she has to retrace her steps to see who did it - or if she possibly did it. 

After witnessing Kaley Cuoco as part of The Big Bang Theory cast for so long, it was hard for me to imagine her in something other than a comedy, but she rocks it in The Flight Attendant. True Story fans will love that this dramedy/mystery certainly exemplifies the idea that “one night can change your whole life.” That’s what happens to Hart’s character, and that’s what happens to Cucoco’s character, as well. With a great performance from its lead, The Flight Attendant is a worthy of a binge.

True Story was certainly a welcome addition to Netflix’s seemingly never ending repertoire of shows to watch. And, hopefully now, you might have just found a new show to binge afterwards.  

When you find a show you love, it’s always difficult to wait for new episodes to return when the show is between seasons. As lucky as we all are to at least have our favorites get renewed, it can feel a bit like torture as we endure the downtime, especially if a show had an explosive or cliffhanger-filled ending. HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant was nothing if not action-packed during Season 1, and while the finale wrapped up many of the major plotlines, now that star / executive producer Kaley Cuoco has shared some behind the scenes photos as they film the new episodes, I’m so ready for Season 2!

The Flight Attendant Season 1 did an amazing job of drawing the audience in and keeping us hooked through many comically dark twists and turns. So, it makes sense that fans are eagerly awaiting both more information about the new season and any hints we get at what’s to come. Series lead Kaley Cuoco has given us a look at the first week of filming on Instagram, and it’s sure to get you excited for Season 2. Take a look!

Well, Cuoco wasn’t kidding when she noted in her caption that this was a “photo dump” from their first week on set for the new season of The Flight Attendant. She posted 10 photos from the shoot, which include a look at returning cast and crew members, gives us more shots of her new, banging hairdo (see what I did there?), and offers a first look at a couple of new characters for Season 2.

In the very first shot, we see Mae Martin (Netflix’s Feel Good), who will be playing Grace St. James in the upcoming season. We don’t have a full character description for Grace just yet, but later on in Cuoco’s photos, we do get to see Martin on set and wearing a flight attendant uniform, so it appears that they’ll be joining in on the flight crew fun, if not also sticking around for the danger that will almost certainly come to pass. 

We also get to see new series regular Mo McRae (Sons of Anarchy, Pitch) getting in on the filming fun with Cuoco. You may have noticed that McRae is wearing a CIA badge, and that’s because he’ll be playing agent Benjamin Berry, who’s been known to get a bit too...involved with his assets. This tracks with what we heard back in July about a new CIA character being introduced, who’d be keeping an eye on Cassie’s activities now that she’s a part-time CIA asset. 

The new season will see Cassie living in L.A. and helping the organization out when needed, but, as you can imagine, trouble soon becomes her middle name again when an assignment overseas leads to Cassie witnessing a murder and throwing her right back into the thick of very imminent danger.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 already seems like it’s shaping up to be one filled with lots of drama, shocking comedy, and all of the international intrigue fans could want from the series, so I can’t wait until we can finally tune in! The show is due back on HBO Max at some point in spring of 2022, but until then you can see what’s new with our 2021 fall TV schedule.

Fashion moments are often called out at awards shows, usually because celebrities choose outfits that are totally memorable-- in either good or bad ways. This weekend at the Emmys Kaley Cuoco stunned in a neon yellow dress she seemed to be having just a fabulous time wearing. Cuoco has been known for fashion on carpets in the past, but this time around she had so much fun, in fact, that she legitimately had three shoe changes to complement her boldly-colored outfit.

To note, although neon yellow is a notable color for a dress, it's a less oddball choice than it might have been, given the dramedy star has often favored metallic golds or yellows in regards to past looks. Still, it's a color you typically see it less often on the awards show red carpet. Regardless, her team really pulled out all the stops with the look from head to toe, and I really do mean toe. In fact, the The Flight Attendant actress went from a strappy pair of heels to a comfy set of sneakers, and finally ended the night in slides. Her red carpet look was stunning and she shared it with her followers on Instagram.

Kaley Cuoco knows her look was “one-of-a-kind” and called the Vera Wang dress just that in her comment accompanying the post. But this was just the first of three outfit changes… at least where her footwear was concerned. Second up? A pair of bright yellow shoes from APL in what looks to possibly be the brand’s Coastal Solstice line.

Not content with comfy walking shoes alone, Kaley Cuoco finally donned a third pair after a night of Emmy festivities. That third look also came from APL in the bright yellow color and completed her dress accessories on Emmys Sunday. (Honestly, though, she seemed to have the best time in the covered shoes.)

At the awards themselves, Kaley Cuoco was actually in contention for Season 1 of The Flight Attendant -- a first Emmy nomination for the seasoned actress. Cuoco actually both stars in and produces the project, having chosen the HBO Max show as her follow-up to her lengthy tenure on The Big Bang Theory. She was up for Outsanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series opposite other big talent like Tracee Ellis Ross (black-ish) and Allison Janney (Mom).

Hacks star Jean Smart ultimately won. The Flight Attendant was also nominated for other awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actress (Rosie Perez) and Outstanding Comedy, the latter which ultimately went to fellow streamer Ted Lasso. You can see the full list of winners with our guide.

Kaley Cuoco is oft a favorite at awards shows, but as happened at the SAG Awards recently, she oft does not win the awards she's nominated for. She's joked about it in the past and has generally been cheery enough about her many awards nominations and few wins, given they've led to other opportunities. However, after her latest red carpet moment, at least one thing is for certain: She won over fans with her fashion.

We're finally getting closer to the premiere of The Flight Attendant Season 2, as Kaley Cuoco and the rest of the cast and crew are now on set to begin filming the new episodes. New seasons of television shows often bring lots of changes for the characters, as well as the stories that they'll be embroiled in (especially when you have a story as danger and mystery-filled as the one on this HBO Max hit), but Cuoco has just revealed that her Cassie is going to be sporting a brand new 'do when Season 2 finally debuts.

The Season 1 ending of The Flight Attendant did an amazing job of wrapping up the season-long murder mystery and many of the plot threads surrounding it, so fans already knew we'd be in for something different when Season 2 came around. But, few of us could have expected that one of those changes would involve Cassie's hairstyle. Now, star and executive producer Kaley Cuoco has both announced that the new set of episodes are in production, and shown off Cassie's new 'do on her Instagram. Take a look!

OMG! You guys! Cassie's gonna have bangs! I know this might not seem like a major deal to some of you, but it's clear that Cuoco disagrees, seeing as how she took the time to point out the hair change in her caption. She mentioned that "Cassie and Cassie’s hair are back," and this is a significant change for the recently sober character.

Cassie went through some big stuff in The Flight Attendant Season 1, and when she wasn't trying to figure out who killed her one night stand, evading the person who was trying to kill her, or dealing with the FBI agents who were hounding her, she was slowly working through her troubled past and starting to face her alcoholism. By the last minutes of the finale, Cassie had gotten her first AA chip and been sober for at least 24 hours, possibly for the first time since she was a teenager. While the bangs could just be fun hairdo switch, my guess is that it's at least a little deeper than that.

I've never had bangs, but everyone I know who has had them tells me that they require additional upkeep. No one who was as messed up as Cassie was in Season 1 is going to be able to maintain the perfect, stylish bang for long. So, this is probably a little hint to viewers that Cassie has been on the straight and narrow for a while by the time we meet up with her again in Season 2.

And, Kaley Cuoco seems very enthusiastic about beginning to film the second season in her Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated role. She's posted several videos and photos to her Stories about starting the new season, including reposting someone else's excited words about The Flight Attendant and Cassie's daring new 'do:

I, for one, can't wait to catch up with Cassie and see how she maintains those bangs as she works out another mystery and runs for her life this time.

While there have been shows that have been cancelled far too soon on Netflix, a new one has just been added to its seemingly never-ending repertoire of shows, and that is the NBC series Manifest, which will receive its fourth and final season on the streamer after the hype for it has grown exponentially in the last couple of months.

For now, your binge of the series is done, and you’re looking for something new to watch - a show that has the same vibes as Manifest. Lost (Amazon Prime)

In this legendary drama series, Lost follows a group of people who are strangers and survive a commercial plane crash, washing up on an island in the Pacific. The survivors begin to work together to somehow stay alive, while also discovering mysteries of the island, ones that will change their lives forever.

Lost was one of the first dramas I think I ever heard of way back when, simply because it was so popular. The Lost cast is talented, the story intriguing, and it will have you binging every episode to see what the answer is to the new mysteries that pop up constantly. Let’s just not talk about the series finale. That can be a discussion for another day.

The OA (Netflix)

The OA tells the story of Prairie Johnson, an adopted young woman who suddenly resurfaces after years of being missing. She now calls herself the “OA,” otherwise known as the “Original Angel,” has scars on her back, and can now see when she was blind before.

For fans of Manifest, the mystery behind Prairie will be what keeps you going at first. You’re so intrigued by this girl that you’ll want to keep watching, but once everything is revealed, there will be so much more for you to enjoy after. I really don’t want to give much away because it’s such a great show that was cancelled far too soon. Give it a shot if haven’t already.

Under The Dome (Pluto TV)

Under the Dome, adapted from the Stephen King novel of the same name, tells the story of the residents of a fictional town called Chester’s Mill, when suddenly, a massive, transparent, and indestructible dome is placed on their town, locking them away from the rest of world. Now, it’s up to them to figure out how to get out - and why it happened to them in the first place.

I love the mystery of this. It’s Stephen King, so you know that the story is going to be good going into this. But, for fans of Manifest, it’s a lot of the same mystery that you’ve come to enjoy, except this time with a sudden lock-down instead of people reappearing out of nowhere. It’s a race against time.

Travelers (Netflix)

The science fiction series, Travelers, is set in a post apocalyptic world where special operatives are tasked with preventing the collapse of society, sent back in time through their consciousness and transferred into a host body.

For fans of Manifest, this show is just the right amount of strange to keep you entertained. At first, there’s a lot of information all at once and it’s almost a little hard to understand, but Travelers is a great science fiction show, with plenty of interesting concepts that would make anyone want to keep watching. I feel like a lot of the time-traveling aspect sort of reminds me of the supernatural feelings you get while watching Manifest, which makes it perfect for fans of the show.

Fringe (Amazon Prime)

On Fringe, we follow the “Fringe Division” of the FBI in Boston, who are under the supervision of Homeland Security. This division is known for using “fringe science” and FBI investigative techniques to look into a series of unexplained occurrences that are usually related to something like a parallel universe.

Fringe lasted for five seasons, and honestly, I feel like it could have gone on for so many more. With J.J. Abrams as one of the executive producers, this show had so many fun mysteries, moments, and more to enjoy. For fans of Manifest, this is the perfect show if you’re craving a series like it, but want something a little different.

The Flight Attendant (HBO Max)

In this HBO Max original series, a flight attendant who has an alcohol problem wakes up in a bed one morning next to a dead man, unaware of what happened the night before and no idea how it happened. Now, she has to try and piece the last night together bit by bit, trying to figure out who did it - and if it could have been her.

While fans of Manifest will again enjoy the mystery of this show, I feel like The Flight Attendant shines in not only its well-crafted story mixed in with comedy, but also the performance of Kaley Cuoco. She really rocks it in her role and brings it home, showing that while she was an amazing part of the Big Bang Theory cast, she can be amazingly dramatic as well.

The Twilight Zone (Paramount+)

In this Jordan Peele rebooted version of the original series, The Twilight Zone takes you into different parallel universes where strange and otherwise weird occurrences happen, in a world known as “the twilight zone.”

I feel like for fans of Manifest, this is the show that made sci-fi and supernatural TV. The original version of The Twilight Zone has some amazing episodes, but the Jordan Peele reboot of the series really takes the cake for me in a couple of ways. There are some really cool stories, some simply mysterious and others supernatural, mixed in with a great guest cast. To me, this is one of the greatest dramas on Paramount+ they have, and deserved way more seasons.

Dark (Netflix)

In this international series on Netflix, Dark takes place in the fictional town of Winden in Germany, covering the story of a child’s disappearance, as the town tries to pursue the truth. But, in doing so, they discover connections between four estranged families who are all related to a time travel conspiracy that spans generations.

Oh boy, if Manifest fans are looking for a good combination of mystery and the supernatural, than Dark is your go-to. For me, this was one of the most mentally draining shows because there were so many twists and turns, with so much lore in the background that it makes for a really detailed mystery series. But, at the same time, it’s the perfect show for people who enjoy a good mystery and want to discover a new world of strange happenings.

The Leftovers (HBO Max)

In another supernatural mystery series, The Leftovers tells the story of what happens when 2% of the world's population suddenly disappears, leaving many behind, with everyone having lost someone and trying to figure out what happened and how to adjust to their new life.

This is definitely one of my favorites on this list, and a great choice for fans of Manifest. While 2% doesn’t sound like a lot, there are more than seven billion people on the planet, which means that 140,000,000+ people would suddenly just vanish into thin air - that sounds freaking mental when you really think about it, and they do a great job of establishing that throughout the series. It’s another one where I don’t want to give much away as to why it occurred - you just have to watch it yourself.

The 4400 (Netflix)

In this science fiction drama, The 4400 tells the story of the titular amount of people, who are deposited by a ball of light in Washington, though they'd all disappeared in the same beam of light, either in 1946 or after. None of them have aged, and they have no idea how they got there.

For fans of Manifest, the premise of this reminds me a lot of the show, except instead of a group of passengers suddenly reappearing, it’s a group of people from various points in time suddenly reappearing, none of whom have aged. With four seasons, there’s so much to uncover and explore, and to find out who exactly these people are, and what they have become. Really, if you enjoyed Manifest, this is for sure a show you will enjoy.

Manifest has really made me so interested in mystery shows, and, honestly, I know that now it’s one of the best shows on Netflix to binge. Since we all have to wait for Season 4, which won’t be premiering on any 2021 fall TV schedule, at least now we have some options to keep us entertained until then.

Kaley Cuoco has had a big year on the professional front thanks to The Flight Attendant, receiving her first-ever Golden Globe and Emmy nominations after well over a decade starring on the small screen. Now, however, the actress has revealed that she is going through some changes on the personal front as well, as she and husband Karl Cook revealed that they are separating after three years of marriage.

The news came courtesy of a joint statement from Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook, and their comments paint a picture of two people who are still on pretty good terms despite the split. They said in their statement, via CNN:

The statement reveals that Kaley Cuoco and her husband aren't splitting because of bad blood between them, but because they came to the conclusion that their journeys in life are no longer on the same path. While they're keeping the particular details private, their public explanation indicates that this is a surprisingly civil celebrity split. By releasing a statement, they also managed to get ahead of the news potentially leaking and taking on a narrative of its own without the clarification that they "made this decision together."

Kaley Cuoco and Karl Cook celebrated their three-year wedding anniversary back in late June, with Cuoco revealing that they had gotten married on the two-year anniversary of when they met back in 2016 . She shared on Instagram at the time:

There was no indication at the time their their "current paths" were taking them in opposite directions just a little over two months ago, but since there evidently wasn't any kind angry split, perhaps it's not surprising that they were still able to celebrate their anniversary happily together not so long ago. Karl Cook also had a sweet message (plus a funny photo) to share for their anniversary back in June:

They may not be getting that "million more years" of marriage, but it's nice to see that they're evidently on good terms with each other despite the split. Hopefully their situation remains amicable moving forward, but if fans respect their request for privacy, the details will not leak to the public.

What fans can say for sure is that Kaley Cuoco has been keeping plenty busy, as the end of her long run on The Big Bang Theory served to open her up to take on new kinds of roles, even if the transition from the CBS sitcom to The Flight Attendant was – in her words – "humbling."

The actress recently celebrated wrapping on her new movie, and another season of The Flight Attendant is in the works. Plus, maybe she'll get to take home an Emmy, even if she wasn't didn't come out on top at the Golden Globes! It’s hard to believe that The Big Bang Theory came to an end in 2019, but it’s already been over two years since we last saw Sheldon, Leonard, Penny in their apartment building's hallowed halls. Most of them quickly moved on to new projects — with Mayim Bialik currently in the middle of a Jeopardy! fiasco — and that includes Kaley Cuoco. The BBT vet stars in and executive produces HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant, but making that transition was not an easy career switch for Cuoco.

Within the Emmy- and Golden Globe-nominated The Flight Attendant, Kaley Cuoco stars as the boozy and foul-lucked Cassie Bowden, and the comedic drama is one of two HBO Max series that she’s currently executive producing, along with the R-rated animated series Harley Quinn. While talking to PEOPLE, Cuoco admitted that she’s still learning a lot about the production process and she is not one to shy away from asking too many questions when there's something she doesn't understand:

As an executive producer for the bloody new series, The Big Bang Theory alum is right to be nervous about handling more than the performance side. It's not uncommon for stars to serve as EPs on their own series, since the gig isn't quite as involved as a producer proper. But Kaley Cuoco definitely isn't interested in sitting back and resting on her laurels, as she wants to know all the ins and outs of what goes into the process. And it's clearly working out so far, or else she and the series might not have earned so many accolades after the first season.

Part of that learning process also involves understanding just how complicated starting up a new TV series can be, as Kaley Cuoco explained she had no idea how many crew members were involved from the start of the pre-production phase. In her words:

Being an executive producer these days isn't an easy gig, and the same goes for just about every job down the ladder. And Kaley Cuoco also felt the pressure of having to follow up on one of the biggest TV shows of the past 20 years. Both before the series premiered and in the months after, she has thanked her Big Bang Theory fandom for all the support. Having portrayed Penny on the CBS sitcom for the show’s twelve seasons, Cuoco was a tad nervous about moving onto something so different, though that fandom came out in full force and quickly showed their love for Cuoco’s new series.

Kaley Cuoco seems to be having as great a time on The Flight Attendant as viewers have had watching Cassie's nerve-grinding antics, despite some awkward moments and tough challenges that went into the sex scenes, her playing an alcoholic character, and nearly breaking her foot while doing a stunt. So we can only hope that Season 2 will be just as awesome as the first, if not better now that she's getting the hang of things a lot more.

Stunt work is a major part of many Hollywood productions, especially larger, effects-driven movies. But as it so happens, playing a flight attendant on a TV show can actually be somewhat treacherous. Kaley Cuoco can attest to this, as she's revealed that she was so committed to her HBO Max series, The Flight Attendant, that she performed a stunt and thought she actually broke her foot.

On her Instagram, Kaley Cuoco shared a few excerpts from a recent interview she did with People. During the chat, the actress discussed her acclaimed series and role. She also reflected on injuring her foot while filming the HBO Max series. Needless to say, it sounds like a wild situation:

When it comes to most TV and movie productions, actors typically utilize doubles for major stunts. This is usually due to producers' goal to keep their stars as safe as possible. Kaley Cuoco's decision to do the small stunt may not have been a risky decision but, as she says, it does show her sheer commitment to the job. And considering that the role earned the actress her first Golden Globe nomination earlier this year, as well as her first Emmy nods, I'd say it all paid off.

It’s definitely not uncommon for an actor to want to do their own stunts. While there is something inherently cool about an actor doing stunts themselves, leaning on a stunt double is definitely not a bad thing. Sure, Kaley Cuoco didn’t actually end up breaking her foot, but one can imagine that the injury was still somewhat painful for her. Not to mention the fact the producers were probably nervous when things went sideways.

It's probably a safe bet that Kaley Cuoco will be more cautious for Season 2, especially since she thinks making the upcoming season will be just a tad more challenging than Season 1 as is. Given the way the series set up things for the future, The Flight Attendant will likely be going the extra mile for the sophomore season. Let’s just hope that Cuoco doesn’t hurt herself again and will actually listen to the crew when they advise her against doing a stunt.

It’ll be exciting to see what kind of surprises Kaley Cuoco and her collaborators have in store for Cassie Bowden during the second season of The Flight Attendant. And if it’s even half as crazy as its predecessor, then viewers are going to experience some  serious turbulence.

The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco seems to be having a swell summer so far. Not only is she gearing up to bring The Flight Attendant Season 2 to HBO Max subscribers, while also in the midst of filming a romantic comedy feature with Pete Davidson, but she's also up for her very first Primetime Emmy Award. But perhaps the biggest highlight of all? Cuoco was recently featured in a Jeopardy! clue that popped up during contestant Matt Amodio's already iconic win streak.

Okay, so being namechecked on Jeopardy! probably isn't quite as exciting as heading up a major motion picture with an SNL star, especially since it happened during an episode guest-hosted by sports commentator Joe Buck. But Kaley Cuoco was still quick to celebrate the achievement on her Instagram Stories, as seen below.

Thankfully, contestant Allie Lane quickly buzzed in and scored a correct answer with "What is The Flight Attendant?" rather than there being super-awkward situation where none of the three contestants chimes in with a guess. Those are always the worst, though it's usually the wide world of sports, or hobbies like video games, serving as the category. I bet Kaley Cuoco feels pretty confident there are probably more people who know her latest TV show than there are people who played the latest Resident Evil game.

Only a couple of years ago, Kaley Cuoco's former Big Bang Theory co-star (and real-life friend) Johnny Galeckiwasn't so lucky when it came to his own Jeopardy! shout out. His name was the correct response to a clue that referenced both TBBT and Roseanne, but the contestant who buzzed in first only managed to say a select handful of the letters in his actual name, answering with "Who is Glick?" At least the actor had his own great response to the mix-up.

I suppose it makes sense that Jeopardy! didn't aim to insert that particular clue into one of the episodes that was hosted by another one of Kaley Cuoco's former co-stars, Mayim Bialik. The latter's hosting stint did include a contestant who professed her Big Bang Theory love, however, so she couldn't escape her former CBS sitcom altogether. Maybe one day, if Jeopardy! doesn't actually hire a permanent host to replace Alex Trebek, Cuoco herself could one day be behind that podium.

One has to wonder whether or not Kaley Cuoco was watching Jeopardy! on her own in between rewatching episodes of Olympics Coverage with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg, or whether someone else clued her in on the clue's existence. Either way, a win is a win is a win, and only the sky is the limit regarding what the actress and producer can achieve next. (Because we're talking about The Flight Attendant Season 2. Get it? Blah.) Fans who were very used to seeing Kaley Cuoco as the sometimes a bit messy but still basically trauma free Penny on The Big Bang Theory got quite the surprise when they checked the star out on her new show, The Flight Attendant, late last year. After 12 seasons of playing Penny, Cuoco likely shocked many with her role on the darkly comedic thriller, and it's led to Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominations for the actress. Now, Kaley Cuoco is opening up about why she felt she had to make The Flight Attendant herself after leaving The Big Bang Theory behind.

Kaley Cuoco has spoken a lot about how she randomly came upon a logline for the novel of the same name by Chris Bohjalian which would later become The Flight Attendant while scrolling through Amazon one night. She quickly optioned the book for an adaptation (becoming one of the executive producers as well as the star), and the critical and audience love for the show in Season 1 has proven that her instincts were on the money. When talking about her career with Variety's Awards Circuit Podcast recently, Cuoco opened up about why she felt she had to take control and make The Flight Attendant herself, and noted:

It's pretty easy to see where Kaley Cuoco is coming from when she talks about the necessity of making sure The Flight Attendant got off of the ground herself. While being blessed with a role on a long-running show you enjoy doing is a great gift that most actors wouldn't walk away from easily, it does also have some potential complications down the road. One of those is becoming so identified as your popular character that few people can readily imagine you portraying someone else. And, Cuoco is admitting that her Cassie from The Flight Attendant is so different from Penny on The Big Bang Theory, that she immediately knew no one would see her being able to pull off the part.

Of course, if you've watched both shows and Kaley Cuoco's work in them, you might see some similarities between Cassie and Penny, as I do. Both start as good time-loving ladies who are sometimes less than responsible, but while Penny is able to mature without a lot of undue stress, Cassie needs to really be shaken out of her standard patterns for her to understand how she's been hurting herself with some of her life choices. And, yes, when I say "life choices" I do mean Cassie's alcoholism, which she finally realized was a serious problem by the time The Flight Attendant Season 1 ending rolled around.

Luckily for fans, the success of the series has led to The Flight Attendant Season 2, which is set to begin filming in the fall for a spring 2022 debut. Until then you can watch Kaley Cuoco on the first season on HBO Max, where you can also revisit her run on The Big Bang Theory. One of the major successes of last fall was The Flight Attendant. The HBO Max series, which stars and is executive produced (in part) by The Big Bang Theory alum Kaley Cuoco, got people talking right with its first episode and never let up. Cuoco received her first Golden Globe and Emmy nods for her leading role as Cassie, a sometimes adorable mess of a human who finds herself caught up in a murder investigation. We have some hints about where the narrative for The Flight Attendant Season 2 will go, and now it sounds like Cuoco's Cassie will have yet another complicated romance in the new episodes.

The Flight Attendant Season 1 ending did a great job of setting up Season 2. The eponymous character helped to uncover not only the real killer of Alex, the passenger Cassie had sex with during her layover in Bangkok, and the man who was attempting to also kill her to cover up the crime she was previously on the hook for. Cassie, thankfully, managed to get away with her life and freedom intact. She also finally realized that she's an alcoholic who hasn't dealt with her childhood trauma, and got noticed by the CIA for her superior sleuthing skills.

Even though Cassie won't be anyone's full-blown CIA agent in The Flight Attendant Season 2, according to TVLine, she will have yet another potential romance, in the form of the (probably really hot) CIA agent who'll be assigned to keep an eye out on her activities. This info comes in the form of the dark comedy putting out a casting notice for an actor is his thirties to play said agent. Right now, we don't know if Cassie will know that he's in the CIA, or if the two will even interact on a regular basis for the whole season, but this certainly sets up some intriguing story possibilities.

First of all, right now Cassie is the queen of complicated romances. Not only did she wake up next to a very dead Alex after their one night stand, and proceed to have visions of him in her mind palace as she tried to figure out who killed him, but she also had quite the lovey dovey thing going with Buckley...who turned out to be Felix, the assassin who actually killed Alex and was literally following Cassie all over the Earth and posing as a normal party boy to try to get info out of her about Alex.

You might be wondering why the CIA would still have such an interest in Cassie when Alex's murder has been solved. Well, let me direct you to a situation that was left unresolved in The Flight Attendant. You might recall that Cassie's fellow flight attendant, Shane, was really an undercover CIA agent who was able to come in at the last minute and really save her ass. Please also remember that yet another flight attendant, Cassie's very good friend Megan, was involved in some incredibly devious and illegal action of her own, and went into hiding near the end of the season.

Shane was undercover because of what Megan had been doing, so there's no way the CIA as a whole doesn't know that Cassie and Megan are good buddies, and they will likely want to keep tabs on her to see if she leads them to Megan.

All of this means that Kaley Cuoco's Cassie is probably going to have a very eventful Season 2 of the The Flight Attendant, and I can't wait to see it!

In fact, her personal trainer has been sharing frequent updates that show how Cuoco manages to stay super fit.

Kaley Cuoco works with Ryan Sorensen, an in-home trainer who works with actors, professional sports teams and more. Sorensen frequently provides updates on her progress and, based on her posts, he and Cuoco go hard when it comes to her workouts. Whether or not you're a diehard fan of The Flight Attendant or even The Big Bang Theory, can we all agree that Kaley Cuoco's reaction to her Emmy nomination is absolutely wonderful to watch? So many of her fellow Big Bang stars received Emmy nominations over the years of the CBS sitcom, but never her. Apparently, she just needed a dark and edgy comedy on a streaming service that meant doing a whole lot that couldn't be done on CBS. And maybe she'll have better luck at the Emmys than the Golden Globes!

Of course, it wouldn't be the Emmys if the categories weren't stacked with talent, and Kaley Cuoco is up against some stiff competition for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. Also nominated are SNL fan-favorite Aidy Bryant for Shrill, Allison Janney for the final season of Mom on Cuoco's former network, Tracee Ellis Ross for black-ish, and Jean Smart for Hacks. As for Outstanding Comedy Series, The Flight Attendant will have to beat black-ish, Cobra Kai, Emily in Paris, Hacks, The Kominsky Method, Pen15, and Ted Lasso.

The Flight Attendant actually received a grand total of nine nominations, although Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actress are definitely the biggest. The show was also nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress for Rosie Perez, Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series for Steve Yockey, Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series for Susanna Fogel, Outstanding Production Design, Outstanding Casting for a Comedy Series, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series, and Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music.

The Emmys themselves are still months off, scheduled to air on Sunday, September 19 at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, so The Flight Attendant fans will have to wait and see if Kaley Cuoco has still more to celebrate. Whether or not the show sweeps the Emmys, there is still good news, as the show was already renewed for a second season. The Flight Attendant has given Kaley Cuoco the recognition she's rightly deserved, as the role allowed her to embody a complicated character in Cassie and explore new things as an actor. This included exploring Cassie’s seemingly out-of-control alcoholism, which is far more noticeable compared to Penny’s occasional drunk moments on The Big Bang Theory. While Cuoco seems to have enjoyed playing the role, the Flight Attendant star did reveal the one “problem” that came from playing an alcoholic character.

While Kaley Cuoco doesn't have the drinking problems that Cassie does, she still enjoys alcohol once in a while. She even recently formed a partnership with Smirnoff, as exclusively reported by People. While chatting with the news outlet, Cuoco spilled a few behind-the-scenes secrets from The Flight Attendant, one of which was the side effect of her simulating Cassie's drinking habits:

It's easy to imagine how hard filming scenes would be after a while, though I guess it's to be expected when playing a character like this. It's also worth mentioning that drinking water to simulate booze is a common practice in acting. While it may not have been ideal for Kaley Cuoco, at least her bathroom trips were related to typical bodily functions and not alcohol sickness.

But The Flight Attendant star wasn’t done speaking about Cassie’s alcoholism as, in the same interview, she revealed more about her approach to it. The star did make it her mission to be careful playing a character with an alcohol problem, and she mentioned that portraying an alcoholic can go from funny to tacky and unfunny if she didn’t pay attention. She also explained that her character’s drinking habits didn’t rub off on her because she knows how to compartmentalize.

It seems we haven't seen the last of Cassie’s alcohol problem, either. All the chaos and murder led to HBO Max bringing back Kaley Cuoco and The Flight Attendant for a second season, which is just one of the numerous projects Cuoco currently has brewing. But when it comes to The Flight Attendant, let's just hope Cassie will eventually be able to kick that drinking habit.

As can imagine, the actress had a time navigating this unfamiliar territory, and she hilariously recalled the experience of doing her first-ever sex scene on the HBO Max series.

While Kaley Cuoco may have been a novice when it came to doing sex scenes, that didn’t stop her from taking the challenge head-on. Unfortunately, the moment didn’t go as smoothly as her comedic or dramatic scenes, according to the actress. The Flight Attendant star said about filming intimate scenes:

To be honest, the fact that this was only her first love scene is pretty surprising, given the sex symbol status she earned early in her career. Still, this revelation and the fact that Cuoco was so awkward while performing the scene just make her that much more relatable. Let's be honest, many of us would probably be a little off while performing such a scene for the first time.

The actress' experience has actually been brought up before. Flight Attendant co-star Michiel Huisman (a Game of Thrones vet) revealed that it took a few takes for Kaley Cuoco to feel comfortable during their plot-inducing sex scene, and recalled her initially hovering over him rather than sitting on top. Huisman and Cuoco’s accounts matched up as he mentioned her not trying to touch him. So it sounds like performing the sex scene was a hellish ordeal for both co-stars at first. Still, the moment seemed to represent something bigger for Cuoco.

While speaking on The Hollywood Reporter’s Comedy Actress Roundtable, The Big Bang Theory alum also said that doing The Flight Attendant was more about “trying to do something different.” She even mentioned the show allowed her to “flex different muscles” as an actress. Having been on The Big Bang Theory for over a decade, Cuoco made the right choice to star in and produce the HBO Max series.

Viewers seemed to love Kaley Cuoco's shift from Penny to Cassie, so much so that the HBO Max series scored a second season. After spending five seasons on the ABC sitcom 8 Simple Rules, she then landed the part of Penny in The Big Bang Theory cast, a role that would change the trajectory of her career. Harley Quinn Season 3 - Late 2021 / Early 2022 (Post-Production)

It would seem that one of the best things Kaley Cuoco agreed to do as The Big Bang Theory neared its end, was sign on to voice the murderous, mischievous, sometimes semi-heroic Harleen Quinzel, better known to DC Comics fans as Harley Quinn, the Joker's much put-upon love interest. Cuoco made her debut as the character in what was the DC Universe animated series Harley Quinn, back in late November 2019, and the show quickly became a bona fide hit, staying that way once the show moved over to HBO Max.

The dark comedy (which, despite being animated, is most certainly not for kids), follows Harley after she's finally left the Joker behind. She's now trying to figure out what her new life will look like, with several villainous friends and foes around to help her complete (or, more likely, complicate) her journey. With voice roles for a number of other well-known stars, like Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Tony Hale, J.B. Smoove, Dietrich Bader, and Giancarlo Esposito, the cast helps this wild show keep fans on their toes.

Even though Cuoco's Harley is the focus of the series, a large part of her story involves her relationship with Poison Ivy (Bell), which went from friends to lovers during the first two seasons. Season 3 is said to devote more time to Ivy's backstory, as well as showing the developing romance between the two supervillains.

We should see Harley Quinn back on HBO Max either in late 2021 or very early 2021.

The Man From Toronto - January 14, 2022 (Post-Production)

Now that Kaley Cuoco has freed up some time by not working on a series which requires upwards of 20 episodes per season, she's starting to really diversify when it comes to the projects she signs up for. Second up is the already filmed movie, The Man from Toronto, which made quite a bit of news when Jason Statham suddenly left the movie just a few weeks before filming was due to start. This is an action comedy (perfect for Cuoco's talents), and finds the eponymous man from Toronto, who is known as the world's deadliest assassin, having to team up with New York's biggest screw-up when the two are mistaken for one another while both are staying at an Airbnb rental.

Statham had been set to play the assassin before leaving the film, and his part was taken by Venom: Let There Be Carnage star Woody Harrelson, with our screw-up being played by famous funny man and Fatherhood star, Kevin Hart. We don't know much right now about the details of Kaley Cuoco's character (who might be named Maggie), but I would absolutely love it if she's also an assassin of some kind.

The rest of the cast also includes Ellen Barkin (Animal Kingdom), Melanie Liburd (This Is Us), Lela Loren (American Gods), and Pierson Fodé (The Bold and the Beautiful).

The Flight Attendant Season 2 - Spring 2022 (Pre-Production)

If you weren't a Kaley Cuoco fan during her Big Bang Theory days, chances are that if you watched the actress in The Flight Attendant Season 1, your mind would have been changed quite quickly. This is another darkly comic show for Cuoco, who's spoken about how immediately taken she was with the idea, and optioned the book of the same name to adapt it after only reading a few sentences about the story while shopping on Amazon one night.

Pre-production is currently underway for The Flight Attendant Season 2, with filming expected to start in September or October. The dramedy / murder mystery had been billed as a limited series before it debuted to mostly rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. In the show Kaley Cuoco plays Cassie, a flight attendant who sleeps with one of her passengers, only to wake up beside the man's dead body the next morning, and finds herself embroiled in an investigation into who actually killed him in order to clear her name.

Viewers saw the main Season 1 mystery wrap up, but there were several avenues left open when it came to Cassie and her assorted friends, family members, and frenemies. Fans can expect Season 2 to follow the tortured character as she struggles with sobriety, and probably uses her sleuthing skills to help solve another crime.

Right now, it's thought that several cast members will return, in addition to Kaley Cuoco, including Zosia Mamet (Girls), Rosie Perez (Birds of Prey), T. R. Knight (Grey's Anatomy), and Griffin Matthews (Dear White People).

Untitled Doris Day Series - TBA (Announced)

Assuming that you were as excited about having another season of The Flight Attendant to look forward to as many fans were, than you may have been surprised to hear that Kaley Cuoco also signed on for another series in March 2021. This one will see the former sitcom star tackle the life of famed singer / actress Doris Day, in a limited series which Cuoco will also executive produce, as she does on both Harley Quinn and The Flight Attendant.

The show will be based on A.E. Hotchner’s 1976 biography Doris Day: Her Own Story, and will see Cuoco star as Day, who had major hit films, mostly throughout the 1950s and '60s, and her own sitcom before quitting acting after her series ended to focus on advocating for animal welfare. This included starting the Doris Day Pet Foundation, becoming very vocal about the unfair treatment of animals, and adopting many animals of her own.

As of this writing, there haven't been any updates on the unnamed Doris Day series, and it is still without a network or casting updates, but it's very early yet, so there's no reason to suspect the project won't move forward.

A Season With Mom - TBA (Announced)

Kaley Cuoco seems to enjoy the process of turning books into television shows, and she's set to do it again for A Season With Mom, which is a non-fiction book by Katie Russell Newland that could lead to some serious tears whenever it finally debuts.

The story focuses on Russell Newland, a baseball lover and cancer survivor, much like her mother, who eventually passed away from the disease. The author then documented her journey as she traveled 30,000 miles in order to visit all 30 Major League Baseball parks in a single season to pay tribute to her mother, their bond, and their favorite pastime.

The book was just published in early April 2021, with news of Kaley Cuoco's desire to turn it into a series coming only about a month later, so it appears pretty obvious that she's very intrigued by the story and what it could bring to her slate of upcoming movies and TV shows. There's no word right now on whether or not Cuoco will also star in the proposed series, but she and Katie Russell Newland are close in age and look a fair bit alike, so it might just be a matter of Cuoco finding time to star in the show.

Meet Cute - (TBA) In Talks

So far, 2021 has been a banner for Kaley Cuoco when it comes to new projects, and we have one more to list, which will take the star back to the big screen, should she sign on the dotted line. As of June 21, 2021, Cuoco was in talks to star in the romantic comedy, Meet Cute, currently set to be directed by Alex Lehmann (Blue Jay, Paddleton).

The story is set to deconstruct the genre by investigating whether or not one would opt to create the perfect romantic partner if given the chance to travel back in time and fix all of their partner's issues and traumas. Cuoco would play Sheila in Meet Cute, and SNL star Pete Davidson is also in talks, and would play the male lead of Gary in the film. Other details are being kept under wraps, but this is a brilliant premise, so we'll likely be hearing more about the movie in the coming months.

It's got to be nice for fans of Kaley Cuoco to see that she's going to continue to be a major presence on TV and in movies for at least the next several months to come, as shows like Harley Quinn and movies like The Man from Toronto begin to roll out. Cuoco may be relatively new to the production game, but she has been acting in long-running series since her teen years, and she has certainly earned a place at the table with the best of them.

After starting with a lot of one-off roles in sitcoms and made for TV movies when she was a child, she landed a lead part on 8 Simple Rules as a teen, and then, within two years of that show ending, wound up on one of the most popular sitcoms of the past couple of decades: The Big Bang Theory. Cuoco was a part of the main cast for the CBS mega-hit for its entire 12-season run, but she recently spoke about the sad moment she realized it wouldn't last forever, and how she chose The Flight Attendant for her next big TV show.

After years of watching Kaley Cuoco play cool but kinda messy Penny on The Big Bang Theory, fans were probably a bit shocked to see her take on the role of uber messy Cassie on The Flight Attendant, especially so soon after BBT ended its long run. But, during a recent chat with Entertainment Weekly, Cuoco revealed that she had a bit of a rude awakening when it came to The Big Bang Theory ending, and then spoke more about stumbling upon the novel that her HBO Max show is based on.

After being asked about choosing to buy the rights to The Flight Attendant based on a very short summary of the story she saw while shopping on Amazon one night, Cuoco said:

The first major thing to note here is that Kaley Cuoco was so at ease in her role as Penny on The Big Bang Theory that she not only figured the show would keep going far longer than any other live-action sitcom we've ever seen, but was totally fine with sticking around for at least a full 25 seasons. There were big changes ahead for Penny, Leonard and several of the other characters, so I'm sure fans would have loved to watch those things come about across another 13 seasons. And, it's good to know that Cuoco seems like she would have been completely on board with that.

Secondly, while Kaley Cuoco has talked before about the happenstance which led her to The Flight Attendant, it sounds like she was really right with her initial thought that something would "just come" to her. Even actors who've enjoyed long stints on television shows have talked about the worry that can come with realizing they'll soon be out of a steady job, and the scramble to find something new which will give them a reliable schedule (and paycheck) for another long stretch. But, Cuoco had faith that she'd land on her feet, and that's what happened.

It sounds like part of the reason that finding Chris Bohjalian's book gave Kaley Cuoco such a thrill was the very fact that the lead was so different from Penny. Cassie is a (basically) functioning alcoholic who finds her good times come to an abrupt end when her excessive drinking leads to her sleeping with a passenger on one of her flights, and then waking up in bed next to his dead body, with no clue what went on or whether or not she had something to do with the man's death.

I like to think of Cassie as what would have become of Penny had she not moved across the hall from Leonard and Sheldon, becoming absorbed by their relatively stable friend group and growing up quite a bit, but, maybe that's just me.

Kaley Cuoco's work on The Flight Attendant Season 1 led her to her very first Golden Globe nomination, and the show is also renewed for a second season, so it seems as though Cuoco has the right instincts when it comes to TV shows, which is sure to come in handy for many non-Big Bang Theory years to come.

Having launched just under a year ago, HBO Max immediately entered the streaming platform competition as one of the biggest marquee names, thanks in part to the programming deals and budget allowances provided by such entertainment giants as HBO and Warner Bros. While the digital brand hasn't yet amassed a subscriber base on the level of Netflix or Amazon, HBO Max has revealed a new and fantastic plan geared to attract new subscribers throughout its second year of existence, with some of its biggest original titles, such as Kaley Cuoco's twisty mystery The Flight Attendant and DC's superhero saga Titans, heading to linear cable TV.

To be more specific, WarnerMedia's Upfront presentation and conference call laid out the high-profile programming block that will be dubbed Front Row on TBS and Front Row on TNT, with both of those networks serving as the premiere viewing destinations. And while HBO Max is gearing up to unveil its ad-supported plan, the Front Row series will be televised with limited commercial interruption to make it as much like the streaming experience as possible. Now let's take a closer look at where and when Kaley Cuoco's Flight Attendant and other big shows will make their linear TV debuts.

Love Life Season 1 (August 2021) - This anthological romantic comedy series, created by In a Relationship writer Sam Boyd, centers on a different relationship situation in each season, with the first boasting Anna Kendrick as its central lead.

Close Enough Season 1 (October 2021) - This animated series from Regular Show creator J.G. Quintel is a hilarious look at the life of two thirtysomething parents who haven't yet made the full crossover into adulthood, telling many surreal and not-exactly-safe-for-work stories.

12 Dates of Christmas Season 1 (November 2021) - The romance-driven 12 Dates of Christmas is a scripted series from Love is Blind's Sam Dean that tracks three hopelessly romantic single people whose main goal is to find their true loves while going through a series of wintery holiday-centric dates.

The Flight Attendant Season 1 (2022) - As the first series from The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco after her time on the hit sitcom, The Flight Attendant centers on an initially unexplainable murder that Cuoco's Cassie believes she may have been responsible for, with excellent co-stars such as Michiel Huisman, Rosie Perez, Zosia Mamet and Michelle Gomez.

Titans Season 1 (June 2021) - The former DC Universe original series Titans flipped to HBO Max on the road to Season 3 as the DC service slimmed down to just a comic provider, and the action-packed drama will now debut on the linear network where it was first developed.

Class Action Park (December 2021) - The only feature to be announced within this batch of HBO Max original projects, Class Action Park is the eye-opening (and wound-opening) look at New Jersey's notoriously dangerous and beloved Action Park.

Rich People Problems (TNT Original) - Rich People Problems (working title) isn't the sequel to Crazy Rich Asians, but rather a docuseries focusing on true stories of greed, lust, deception, and betrayal tied to people with way too much money and time on their hands.

Rhodes to the Top (TNT Original) - This new reality series will focus on the lives of pro wrestler and AEW star/exec Cody Rhodes and his wife Brandi. The series will focus not only on their busy home lives, but it will also take viewers into the behind-the-scenes mayhem that goes along with putting a wrestling TV show together each week.

The TNT original series Claws and Snowpiercer are also part of the promotion, although it's not entirely clear whether these shows will air elsewhere, or how their futures will play into the Front Row branding, beyond likely just having fewer ads for new episodes.

At this time, it's not entirely clear if these will be the only HBO Max original series that will show up on linear TV later this year and in 2022, but you can be sure WarnerMedia will let audiences know if those plans do indeed expand. Hopefully we can take that timing to mean the highly anticipated second season of Kaley Cuoco's The Flight Attendant will be debuting at some point around when it shows up on TBS. In the meantime, there are still lots of 2021 Summer TV shows to get ready for, so don't miss out!

Kaley Cuoco is becoming quite the queen of TV. While she gained fame at a young age from her role in the sitcom 8 Simple Rules, she blew up when she played Penny on CBS’s The Big Bang Theory. Since seeing massive success and making a mother lode of moola on the long-running hit series, she has stepped her producing game way up and seems to have found and stuck with her niche in TV. After producing and starring in HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant, Cuoco is now bringing a different kind of book to TV - and this time you may want to stock up on tissues.

Season 1 of The Flight Attendant ended in December and, even though it was well received and there's a Season 2 in the works, Kaley Cuoco is adding another project to her production résumé. According to Deadline, her production company -- Yes, Norman -- has picked up the rights to Katie Russell Newland’s A Season With Mom with the intentions of turning it into a series.

A Season With Mom is a true story based on Newland’s own experiences and told from her perspective. She is a cancer survivor and lover of baseball, just like her mother, who tragically passed away from cancer. Newland takes on the task of visiting all 30 Major League Baseball stadiums, which was something she wanted to do with her mother but was unable to due to her passing.

Katie Russell Newland’s novel was only just published on April 6th, but Kaley Cuoco has big and fast ambitions. Cuoco’s Yes, Norman has a number of projects in development on top of the one based on Newland’s book. It seems that the Harley Quinn and The Flight Attendant series were just the start of Cuoco’s production ventures, and we can expect a lot from the company in the years to come.

Even though Kaley Cuoco took on a double role in both of Yes, Norman’s previous TV productions as producer and star, it’s unclear right now as to whether she will be starring in the TV adaptation of A Season With Mom. The project is in the early stages, but it would make a lot of sense for Cuoco to play the lead in this production, too, especially since she and the author and main character are so close in age and share a likeness to one another. In fact, even if Cuoco wasn’t the one behind the production, she would make a pretty great casting choice to play Newland.

Although it seems that she's working mostly in TV, Kaley Cuoco is tackling all kinds of genres. While HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant was more of a thriller, A Season With Mom is a huge, tear jerking change-up from her past projects. After acting on TV for nearly 20 years, Cuoco seems to be making sure she has a seat at the producing table and, with her range of projects and Golden Globe nomination, it definitely appears that she has one.

As the second year of the COVID pandemic continues, many televised ceremonies are also heading into their second year of remotely produced telecasts, from this year's awkward AF Golden Globes to WWE's latest WrestleMania pay-per-view. That's not exactly the case for the 27th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, however, which were pushed back from the usual January occurrence. That delay didn't stop The Flight Attendant's Kaley Cuoco from getting dolled up in a positively gorgeous pink dress, though, and the more casual setting meant that Ted Lasso's Jason Sudeikis could continue his streak of wearing relevant sweatshirts during award show acceptance speeches.

The 27th annual SAG Awards aired on both TBS and TNT on Sunday night, honoring the best of the best performances from actors both on the film and the TV side of the industry. To be expected, both Kaley Cuoco and Jason Sudeikis were nominated for their winning turns in HBO Max's twisty thriller The Flight Attendant and Apple TV+'s feel-good comedy Ted Lasso, and the two former network TV stars had contrasting approaches on how to dress up for the occasion. Kaley Cuoco could likely make that dress look just as glamorous even while standing in a dumpster full of old fruit, so it's no shock that she looks so awesome while standing in such a picturesque, pool-centric setting. It would not have been a good time for a big burst of wind to have knocked her into the water, if only because no one was recording a video at the moment.

Unfortunately, Kaley Cuoco did not come out as the victor during the SAG Awards. In the category for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series, she was nominated against Dead to Me's Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini, as well as Schitt's Creek stars Catherine O'Hara and Annie Murphy. O'Hara furthered her well-earned win streak for the sixth and final season of Schitt's Creek, which will probably continue with this year's Primetime Emmys. But while facing defeat is likely disappointing to Cuoco, she definitely wasn't showing it on social media. Gotta love such positive-minded and well-dressed sportsmanship, which isn't always present when there's alcohol involved. But Kaley Cuoco is just that awesome, I guess.

Meanwhile, Jason Sudeikis turned up to celebrate his Screen Actors Guild Award nomination by wearing another sweatshirt emblazoned with a message of empowerment, although this one came without a hood attached.

After rocking out a hoodie promoting his sister's New York City dance studio for the Golden Globes, Jason Sudeikis then wore another hoodie to the Critic's Choice Awards at the end of February. To be sure, the actor might not be getting this much attention for his fashion choices if he wasn't busy winning all the Best Comedy Actor awards for his understated and acclaimed work on Ted Lasso, reprising the role he originated in a series of NBC Sports promos.

Both The Flight Attendant and Ted Lasso are already set to return for second seasons on HBO Max and Apple TV+, respectively, so there's a very good chance audiences will be watching Kaley Cuoco and Jason Sudeikis being nominated for their work during the 2022 TV awards circuit. In the meantime, stream both series' first seasons now to see what all the hubbub is about.

While we don't know much about the new season just yet, here are six quick things we know about Season 2 of The Flight Attendant!

The Flight Attendant Has Been Renewed For Season 2

Remember all of the praise I just mentioned was heaped upon The Flight Attendant? Well, it was a very good thing for more than having an incredibly received Season 1. Even though the series is based on the 2018 book of the same name by author Chris Bohjalian, which did not have a sequel, the day after the, supposed, series finale aired, the comedy-drama was renewed by HBO Max for Season 2. Kaley Cuoco found out about the book while doing a little late night Amazon shopping, and ended up buying the rights to it, so I guess we can't say that Amazon never did nothing for us.

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Should Debut In Spring 2022

I know, I know! It seems like this is a very long time to wait for new episodes of The Flight Attendant, but, they need time to work everything out for a story that left fans with some surprising twists and plenty of new avenues for Cassie and her friends to travel down. According to Variety, the writer's room for the series was set to assemble in March, and assuming that did happen, production should be able to fully begin in September or October, which will put us nicely in that Spring 2022 debut window.

Don't worry, though, Cuoco and her fellow executive producers, Sarah Schechter and Greg Berlanti, along with showrunner Steve Yockey, already have plenty of ideas of how to continue what was supposed to be a limited series.

Cassie Will Not Be In The CIA For The Flight Attendant Season 2

As you may recall, Season 1 of The Flight Attendant ended on the shocking twist that saw Cassie's friend and fellow flight attendant, Shane (Griffin Matthews), reveal himself to be a CIA agent undercover. If it hadn't been for good ol' Shane, Cassie probably would have met her end at the hands of her lover / hitman, Buckley (Colin Woodell). But, after saving her life and checking in with his bosses, Shane told her that he was going to continue to keep his cover job to try and track another flight attendant friend, Megan (Rosie Perez), and that Cassie was wanted for the CIA’s “human asset program.”

However, this does not mean that we will immediately be thrown into a full blown spy thriller when Season 2 starts, as Cuoco told Variety:

Cassie Will Still Struggle With Her Drinking Problem

As you might imagine from the events of The Flight Attendant Season 1, part of Cassie's emotional journey in the second season will involve her struggles with alcohol. The narrative of the series was set off by Cassie drinking so much that she was backout drunk and couldn't remember whether or not she'd killed her hot, one-night-stand passenger, Alex (Michiel Huisman). She proceeded to continue to drink heavily during the series, but was also able to confront many of her demons as she tried to figure out who really killed Alex to clear her name, and had stopped drinking by the finale. That is not going to be an easy road, though. According to Cuoco:

Cassie Will Still Retreat Into Her Mind In The Flight Attendant Season 2

One major part of The Fight Attendant Season 1 was how we saw Cassie interact with both dead Alex and her own distorted memories of her childhood when she would retreat into her mind. A lot of this was so that she could try to put together the pieces of both the night Alex was murdered, but to also reassemble her recollections of the past which led to her drinking problem. If you think that Cassie will now be free of that "mind palace," though, think again. As Steve Yockey told TV Line:

The Flight Attendant Season 2 Will Still Mostly Be Set In New York

Cassie, obviously, did a lot of traveling during Season 1 of The Flight Attendant, but her home base was always New York City, and that will continue to be the case, even though she's now going to be a CIA "asset." However, Kaley Cuoco mentioned that we could see an episode or two which will actually require the newly sober high flyer to head to the opposite coast, as she noted that she had pitched “a couple of storylines in L.A." to Yockey. So, we'll just have to wait and see what kind of madness Cassie gets herself involved in when the new season rolls around.

Kaley Cuoco, still best known for playing Big Bang Theory’s Penny, has been having a heck of a successful post-finale go of it, jumping straight to voice work as Harley Quinn on the anti-hero’s animated series and as the lead of HBO Max’s hit series The Flight Attendant, which was quickly renewed following the first season’s epic finale. Ahead of boarding Cassie’s next turbulent flight, she will be portraying an iconic Hollywood star for a limited series. So what does that mean for The Flight Attendant Season 2?

Kaley Cuoco has signed on to produce and star in a series about Doris Day, per Variety. She will work alongside Warner Bros to develop the TV biopic after the studio officially obtained the rights to A.E. Hotchner’s 1976 biography Doris Day: Her Own Story.

Doris Day was a major film star in the 1950s and 60s, often being paired with Rock Hudson for comedies such as Pillow Talk or Send Me No Flowers. The blonde-haired charmer also worked alongside James Garner and Cary Grant in films and fronted her own sitcom called The Doris Day Show from the late 60s to 1973.

Day decided to quit acting following her time on her show and devoted her time to becoming an advocate to animal welfare, founding the Doris Day Pet Foundation, speaking out about the unfair treatment of animals and adopting many of her own. This part of Day’s life will particularly mesh well with Kaley Cuoco considering she too is an animal lover and advocate, who has five rescue dogs with her husband along with horses, a goat and a bunny.

It’s an exciting development for the 35-year-old actress, but The Flight Attendant Season 2 looks to be at the top of Kaley Cuoco’s priority list, as the writers room gets ready to convene with production on the HBO Max show expected to begin in September or October of this year. The Doris Day project conversely has only just been announced and has yet to find a network to call home just yet.

Cuoco’s new series comes just as the actress has received some high acclaim for her role as Cassie on The Flight Attendant, nabbing Best Actress nominations from the Golden Globes, Film Critics Association Awards and is projected to be among 2021 Emmy nominations. Portraying a Hollywood actress as beloved as Doris Day will allow the actress to show off her acting chops further, especially since playing someone so famous is often regarded as highly challenging within the industry.

The Doris Day show will also continue Cuoco’s more hands-on work behind the scenes as the founder of Yes, Norman Productions. For the The Flight Attendant, she oversaw every aspect of production as executive producer and is also an EP on her Harley Quinn series. It’s an exciting time for Cuoco. Have no fear Flight Attendant fans, the second season is expected to come to HBO Max in spring 2022.

Having been a television mainstay for most of her post-adolescent life, The Big Bang Theory vet Kaley Cuoco is one of the most recognizable TV stars on the planet, but massive popularity doesn't necessarily equate to awards success. Cuoco took a brilliant turn by bringing the novel The Flight Attendant to HBO Max, and her stellar performance throughout Season 1 earned the actress her very first Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Actress in a TV Comedy or Musical. Unfortunately, she didn't end up winning the category, but she won me and many other fans over when she shared her DGAF response.

To be sure, Kaley Cuoco definitely did GAF about the award in general, as she was very emotional and thankful to be recognized by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association when the nominations were announced. But at the end of the Golden Globes day, after one has presumably been friendly with the booze throughout, it's all about being comfortable. And Cuoco looks about as comfortable as anyone could be in the Instagram post below.

Let's break down all the awesomeness within this single image. First, there's the A+ look on Kaley Cuoco's face, which is a mixture of "Yep, that figures," with "I'm a queen." And she doubles down on that sentiment with one hand holding a pizza slice and one hand holding a bottle of wine. Nobody got time for plates and glasses on awards night. Napkins, shmapkins.

Second, Kaley Cuoco still manages to look pretty damned glamorous in her dress, even with her not-as-glitzy food and drink choices. But the key to the whole look, of course, is that her fancy high heels were kicked off and sitting amongst the food on the ground. Nobody got time for uncomfortable shoes, either.

And finally, let's all appreciate the glorious grounded smorgasbord that Kaley Cuoco has on demand, as well as the confetti spread all over the floor. We've got Golden Globes cupcakes, as evidenced by the "GG," unless that was just Cuoco decided to put her Gossip Girl fandom on display. Then we have a "Good Luck, Kaley!" cake with the actress' picture on it, a half-eaten pan of macaroni and cheese, and a few choice slices in a pizza box. There's also another bottle of alcohol on the ground – possibly bourbon or a liqueur of some kind? – and a gluten-free chocolate cake on her lap.

We've clearly all been missing out by not partying with Cuoco for all these years, although I do have some questions and suspicions about the hair coming out from under the cake plate. The actress' fans and friends understandably enjoyed this Golden Globes reaction as much as we did, with her Flight Attendant co-star Michelle Gomez sharing her own disbelief that Cuoco lost out to Schitt's Creek legend Catherine O'Hara, saying:

While filming The Flight Attendant, Funnily enough, Kaley Cuoco impersonated the very character that Catherine O'Hara won for. Now that Schitt's Creek is over with, Cuoco has as good a shot as ever to win out the category in 2022, with The Flight Attendant having been renewed for Season 2 at HBO Max, with a different plan in mind to follow up on how Season 1 concluded. Granted, she'll have to win over the voters with another season of complex, hilarious and heartbreaking performances, but I think she's up to the task. I hear wine and cake are excellent motivators.

Kaley Cuoco recently reflected on her time working on The Flight Attendant and revealed that while she filmed the show in Thailand a few years ago, she discovered the hit comedy Schitt’s Creek. And it turned out to be just the source of comfort she needed while dealing with the grueling shoot:

Any Schitt’s Creek fan will tell you the show is addictive, and this definitely became the case for Kaley Cuoco. As a matter of fact, she went on to tell TV Line that she watched the show so much that she actually began to imitate Catherine O’Hara’s Moira Rose:

It’s incredibly poetic that Catherine O’Hara’s own Golden Globe-caliber work helped Kaley Cuoco with her own, and it’s not hard to see why. O’Hara’s performance as Moira is one of the ages, and one of the many reasons why Schitt’s Creek worked so well.

Kaley Cuoco has had quite a ride since The Flight Attendant’s premiere. The show was met with mostly positive reviews, with many fans and critics praising her performance. This led the actress to share a sweet message in which she thanked fans for their support, especially those Big Bang Theory fans who made the jump to the new show for her.

Kaley Cuoco imitating Schitt’s Creek’s Moira Rose may sound weird, but you can’t argue with the results. And with that, it wouldn’t be surprising if the actress chooses to watch the show again for good luck while working on The Flight Attendant Season 2.

Because Kaley Cuoco's name was the first one that came up for the Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical category, she barely had time to prepare herself before being flooded by emotions. Flood being the operative word there, as she immediately started to cry, overwhelmed with joy and appreciation. Though she never managed to secure a nomination for any of her twelve seasons as Penny on The Big Bang Theory, it only took one season of portraying The Flight Attendant's loopy Cassie Bowden for the HFPA to sing her praises in the form of a nom. While that video would have been a complete downer had she not been named, the always appreciative Kaley Cuoco probably had a good feeling that her Flight Attendant performance would get recognized by the Golden Globes. For one thing, the Globes have been far more welcoming to newer projects in recent years, especially those produced by streaming services. (The show itself is nominated for Best TV Comedy or Musical.) And for another thing, Cuoco absolutely gave it her all for Flight Attendant, which definitely stretched her acting skills in a way that audiences hadn't really seen from her before, in a series that few might have predicted she would be perfect for.

To put it simply, The Flight Attendant centers on Kaley Cuoco's alcohol-abusing Cassie, who wakes up next to a dead body covered in blood without any recollection of how the previous night ended. Cassie then goes into gumshoe mode to try and figure out what went down, putting herself into dangerous situations, only to suspect that she might have actually been responsible. While the show is definitely a stress-inducing mystery thriller in some respects, it's also something of a madcap comedy and character study. And while many actresses might have stumbled in handling so many tones at once, Cuoco was at the height of her talents throughout the eight-episode first season, earning big laughs, lots of empathy and playful ire in equal measures.

Kaley Cuoco isn't necessarily locked in to win the category, of course, as she's got some very talented competition. Other nominees for Best TV Actress in a Comedy or Musical include Lily Collins (Emily in Paris), Elle Fanning (The Great), Jane Levy (Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist), and Catherine O'Hara (Schitt's Creek). Considering Schitt's Creek swept the Emmys with its final season, this is going to be a tough one.

The 78th annual Golden Globe Awards are set to air on NBC on Sunday, February 28, at 8:00 p.m. ET, so be sure to tune in right along with us to see if Kaley Cuoco gets that much-deserved win.
