Over the years, we’ve seen many different actors and artists join OnlyFans. From Carmen Electra apparently wearing her ‘90s clothes on OF to Harry Potter’s Lavender Brown actress starting an account, there is a wide variety of celebrities on the platform. Now, Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer has joined, and she’s explained both why she chose to and what she plans to do on it.

About a month after she soft-launched her OnlyFans account, Helfer spoke to People about her choice. This decision comes on the heels of many other famous folks joining OF over the years. It also comes around the same time the platform has become a big part of the pop culture conversation because of how it's being represented in Euphoria and Margo's Got Money Troubles, both of which are airing on the 2026 TV schedule. So, why did the actress decide to join the platform now? Well, part of it is because she’s trying to “take the stigma off a little bit.” She also said that at this stage in her life, she is going to “do what I want.” Further explaining that point, she said:

Considering OnlyFans is known for its sexual content, Helfer did explain that her account will be the “sexier side” of her “brand.” She said she plans to post professional photoshoots, self-shot photos and videos. She also said she’d be doing some livestreamed Q&As.

Along with a general description of what she’ll post, Helfer provided some examples of what she’s done so far. While she does plan to do bigger and professionally shot content, she also said she keeps things fun and casual:

OnlyFans does have a reputation for its sexual content. However, that does not bother Helfer. She said she likes to shock, and she also explained that she’s fine with people like her parents seeing this content:

Along with shooting for Playboy in 2007, Helfer has also been a model for Victoria’s Secret, and she said she has a nude in the Leica Gallery in LA. Speaking specifically about her experience with Playboy, the actress said she got to pick her photographer and had photo approval. She “chose to keep it higher end in keeping with my brand,” and that’s what she wants to do with OnlyFans:

Overall, she’s very positive about this choice, and said most people have been “very supportive” of it too. However, she is aware that some might be concerned about it.

OnlyFans is a double-edged sword when it comes to the benefits and repercussions of the attention people get from it. The Sopranos’ Drea De Matteo has said OnlyFans changed her life, specifically noting that it helped her save her house. Meanwhile, Jessie Cave has said that while it’s helped her financially, she has gotten “unsolicited” messages from people. So, there are pros and cons to being on the platform.

When it comes to the Battlestar Galactica star’s content, she said people don’t need to be worried about her. She’s “in control of it” and said she does not have to post anything she doesn’t want to.

In the end, Helfer seems excited about the opportunity and its potential (as she plans to donate some of her profits to animal charities), and she is going to use it as an “extension of [her] creative, fun and flirty side.”

2003's Battlestar Galactica may have had a rocky start, but, today, (17 years after its conclusion), the show has a devoted fanbase that loves it. The revival, which is part of a much bigger larger Battlestar Galactica franchise, includes a pretty great cast, and most of them are still close with one another. On that note, Starbuck actress Katee Sackhoff just reunited with some former co-stars, and her post evoked some serious feelings within this fan's heart.

Over the weekend, Sackhoff attended Comic Con Revolution in Ontario, and she was not the only BSG guest. James Callis, Tricia Helfer, Mary McDonnell, Edward James Olmos and Grace Park were also at the convention, and Sackhoff couldn’t help but document the fun meetup. She posted some sweet pictures to her Instagram on Monday that were taken in between photo ops, noting in the caption that trauma bonding in space “really is forever.” Check it out:

I always love seeing a cast get together years after the end of their show, especially considering that not every troupe of actors remains close after a gig is done. Based on what's known about the BSG crew, they've long seemed to be tight, and I love Sackhoff's quip about bonding over "trauma." Of course, it feels like the actress is simply referring to the fictional exploits that their characters experienced on the show. Nevertheless, I can still imagine the cast pulling together throughout any theoretical hurdles they may have experienced amidst filming.

Throughout the years, it's felt like Katee Sackhoff hasn't missed any kind of opportunity to show love to her comrades. For example, a few years ago, Sackhoff posted a reunion photo from yet another convention, which showed her and several co-stars beaming while being in each other's presence.

Based on the behind-the-scenes tidbits that have been shared about the show, the stars really did help each other. A great example of that would be Olmos, who stars as William Adama in the reboot, givng Sackhoff a note about playing Kara “Starbuck” Thrace. What Sackhoff received was intense, constructive criticism that, with Olmos telling her to listen to other people while doing her work. Per Sackhoff, that piece of advice really stuck with her.

Considering the continued love for this sci-fi franchise and the fact that the Battlestar Galactica finale is open-ended, it's hard not to wonder if Starbuck and co. may return in some form. Peacock was developing a continuation of the 2004 series in 2019, but it was reported in 2024 that it was no longer happening.

That doesn’t necessarily mean a follow-up won’t ever happen, of course, but we'll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, though, I look forward to seeing more potential reunion photos shared by Katee Sackhoff or any of her colleagues in the near future. One thing I love about following Katee Sackhoff is the fact the actress has so many touchstones in different fandom communities. Most people know her right now for The Mandalorian, or for her recent work on Hallmark’s movies schedule, but back in the day she appeared on a little show called Battlestar Galactica, which has stayed relevant in the cultural lexicon over the year. Which means fans like me were very here for her reunion photo this weekend. 

The actress had a chance to meet fellow blonde BSG alum Tricia Helfer, who played Six on the Syfy series. Helfer also posted a photo to explain why the two were hanging out, and it turns out she was a guest on her former co-star’s podcast, “Blah Blah Blah with Katee Sackhoff.” Of course, they took a photo to commemorate the occasion as well. 

The only thing that might have made this reunion sweeter might have been if the Starbuck actress had rocked a black and grey tank and the Six actress had worn her character’s signature red look. I get it; they weren’t cosplaying, but a girl can dream!

I’m not the one who was – and sorry for the crass phrase – but happy as a pig in shit about this reunion. Other Battlestar Galactica fans also commented and the enthusiasm is palpable.

It’s clear that a lot of fans still have fond feelings about Ron Moore’s version of Battlestar Galactica, and I can see why. The original show was excellent (though some fans have beef with the BSG ending) and it was just such a wonderfully thought out universe that I thought would have sparked additionally popular spinoffs, sort of a la Stargate. However, Caprica was quickly canceled after it didn’t find an audience and Blood & Chrome also fizzled, making BSG the property fans still really remember and talk about. (Still, I’d argue at least one of those shows was a sci-fi series that was canceled too soon.) 

While the show may be over, perhaps there will be an opportunity for another sort of reunion in the future? The Battlestar Galactica cast have moved on to different projects in the years since, but moments like these make it clear fan interest is still quite high. In this post, for example, some of my favorite fan comments had to be the ones where people suggested Tricia Helfer for The Mandalorian. I don’t hate it, like, at all.

Earlier in 2023 Sackhoff reunited with more of her BSG family, including Jamie Bamber, Michael Trucco, and Mary McDonnell. In addition, Sackhoff’s other recent sci-fi show Another Life also featured a BSG reunion when Kate Vernon (who played Ellen Tigh on the Syfy show) also joined the Netflix series in Season 2. What I guess I’m saying is I miss the show, fans miss the show, and clearly the cast even misses the show. Let’s find more ways to bring them together again. 

To many, Katee Sackhoff is known as the skilled actor who’s helped bring some iconic characters to life on screen. But in recent years, she’s also taken on two additional roles: wife and mother. Sackhoff seems to be mostly relishing her new titles and what comes with them, based on the lovely social media posts she’s shared over the past few months. Her most recent one may be the sweetest, though, as she uses it to pay tribute to her husband, Robin Gadsby. And if that weren’t enough, the post includes some sweet tidbits that are sure to make Battlestar Galactica fans happy. 

In celebration of her husband’s birthday, Katee Sackhoff dropped a precious photo of him on her Instagram. The image shows him cradling their young daughter while their two dogs chill alongside them. In her caption, the actress lauded her husband as a partner and cheekily coined a term from Battlestar Galactica while pondering how she was able to land her beau:

Fans surely caught the pitch-perfect use of the word “frak” in there. Longtime devotees likely know how deeply embedded the word is within the history of the science fiction franchise. The term, which was first introduced in the original ‘70s iteration of BSG is a word that doubles for the almighty f-bomb. It’s been used quite frequently over the years, and Katee Sackhoff’s Starbuck certainly used it on more than one occasion. Many fans would probably agree with me, though, when I say that this may be Sackhoff’s best use of the faux expletive yet!

And if that weren’t enough, the post was also injected with some more Battlestar Galactica love, as the actress tagged fellow co-star Tricia Helfer. The star’s name was invoked when the Mandalorian alum was joking about how her husband is a Canada native like Helfer. Well, Helfer spotted the post and responded with an on-brand message of her own, saying, “As Sian said, You’re welcome! And happy birthday”. You can see the original post down below:

These intergalactic ties have definitely remained strong in the years since the modern iteration of BSG finished its run. While this is nice to see, it’s also great to see that stars like Katee Sackhoff have had big things happen in their personal lives since the show went off the air. She and Robin Gadsby made the walk down the aisle in October 2021 in what appeared to be a beautiful ceremony. And if that wasn’t enough of a surprise, by December, Sackhoff revealed that she’d given birth to their child, whom they also spent New Year’s with. 

Since then, the star has been candid about getting back to work while maintaining her maternal duties. The star has voiced some of the challenges she has faced, though some of the messages have garnered backlash. Though after one troll accused her of exuding “privilege,” she clapped back with some honest thoughts of her own.. 

While things may not be so easy for her right now, Katee Sackhoff’s post would seem to indicate that her husband is supporting her every step of the way. And that kind of synergy is something that anyone, Battlestar Galactica fan or not, can truly appreciate.

Fittingly enough, Lucifer has gone to hell and back again during its extended television-to-streaming run throughout this past half-decade. Initially, the DC comic book adaptation made a modest debut on Fox with mixed reviews but a growing fanbase. When the show was cancelled after three seasons, the outcry of support from fans ultimately inspired Netflix to pick it up for three additional MA-rated installments — including its sixth and final season, which was (surprisingly) announced back in June.

While fans are still waiting for the second half of Season 5, this extended delay is giving newcomers a chance to catch-up with the buzzy series. Here's where you might have seen the Lucifer cast before.

Tom Ellis (Lucifer Morningstar)

As Lucifer Morningstar, the literal devil incarnate who abandons his post in Hell and becomes a civilian consultant for the L.A.P.D., Tom Ellis has a fiery role in this Fox-turned-Netflix adaptation of the DC Comics (and, you know, biblical) character. Previously, Ellis appeared in BBC's Miranda and USA's Rush. He also had main cast member roles in Nice Guy Eddie, Suburban Shootout, Monday Monday, Sugartown, and The Fades. Additionally, Ellis had a recurring role on EastEnders, and can be seen in Doctor Who, Merlin, Gates, Queen America, Jack & the Beanstalk: The Real Story, Harley Street, and No Angels. He also played Lucifer in an episode of The Flash.

Lauren German (Detective Chloe Decker)

Playing the part of Chloe Decker, a hard-working homicide detective who solves cases with our titular satanic character, Lauren German has one of the lead roles in Lucifer. Previously, German was seen in A Walk to Remember, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003), Hostel: Part II, Down to You, What We Do Is Secret, Made For Each Other, The Divide, Dark Country, Love and Mary, It Is Fine! Everything Is Fine, Born Killers, Standing Still, A Midsummer Night's Rave, and Spin.

Additionally, on television, Lauren German was in the main cast for Hawaii Five-0 Season 2, and she played a prominent role on Chicago Fire. Also, the actress had leading roles in Happy Town and Sex, Love & Secrets, and appeared in episodes of 7th Heaven, Human Target, Memphis Beat, and Going to California.

Kevin Alejandro (Detective Daniel “Dan” Espinoza)

In the role of Daniel Espinoza, an LAPD homicide detective, Chloe's ex-husband, and Trixie's father, Kevin Alejandro has a prominent paternal part in Lucifer. Outside of this series, Alejandro is known for his performances in Southland, Parenthood, True Blood, and Arrow. His other television credits include The Young and the Restless, Ugly Betty, Shark, Drive, Weeds, Sleeper Cell, Golden Boy, The Returned, Grey's Anatomy, The Catch, Law & Order: SVU, Psych, The Mentalist, Melrose Place, Sons of Anarchy, NCIS, Big Love, Medium, JAG, Alias, Without a Trace, 24, Charmed, and Crossing Jordan. D.B. Woodside (Amenadiel)

As Amenadiel, Lucifer's older brother, D.B. Woodside plays a watchful character in this series. Most notably, Woodside appeared in the seventh season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, as well as Single Ladies, Suits, and Parenthood. His other television credits include 24, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Monk, S.W.A.T., Halt and Catch Fire, Castle, Hawthrone, JAG, The Division, Murder One, Hellcats, Emily Owens M.D., and a recurring role on Pearson.

Additionally, on the big screen, D.B. Woodside appeared in The Temptations, Romeo Must Die, Scar City, Easy (2003), That Awkward Moment, Mississippi Damned, The Man in 3B, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2.

Lesley-Ann Brandt (Mazikeen)

Playing the part of Mazikeen, i.e. "Maze," Lucifer's demon confidant, Lesley-Ann Brandt has a prominent supporting role in Lucifer. Outside of this series, Brandt is known for her work in Starz's Spartacus and Spartacus: Blood and Sand. She can also be seen in The Librarians, Single Ladies, Chuck, Gotham, CSI: NY, Being Mary Jane, This is Not My Life, and Diplomatic Immunity.

Additionally, Lesley-Ann Brandt appeared in A Beautiful Soul, Drift, The Hopes & Dreams of Gazza Snell, InSight, Painkillers, Heartlock, and Duke, as well as the music videos for Battle Circus's "Love is a Fallout Shelter" and Nesian Mystik's "R.S.V.P." Next, the actress will star in Killing Winston Jones.

Scarlett Estevez (Beatrice “Trixie” Espinoza)

In the role of Beatrice "Trixie" Espinoza, Dan and Chloe's daughter, Scarlett Estevez was part of Lucifer's main cast for the first four seasons. The child actress started her film career with Daddy's Home, followed by Daddy's Home Two. Estevez can also be seen in the fourth season of Disney Channel's Bunk'd. Her other TV credits include a recurring voice role in Amazon Prime's If You Give A Mouse a Cookie, as well as guest star appearances in Redeeming Dave and Raven's Home. Additionally, Estevez can be seen in The Massively Mixed-Up Middle School Mystery and And Then There Was You, as well as being heard in 2018's The Grinch. Next, the actress appears in Christmas Again.

Rachael Harris (Dr. Linda Martin)

As Linda Martin, our titular hellspawn's psychotherapist, Rachael Harris plays a mindful and observant character in Lucifer. In addition to this series, Harris can be seen in Reno 911!, New Girl, Suits, The Good Wife, and Sister, Sister. Her other TV credits include Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Sarah Silverman Program, In the Motherhood, My Boys, Childrens Hospital, Modern Family, The Office, Cougar Town, Pushing Daisies, Notes From the Underbelly, Monk, Frasier, 8 Simple Rules, Party Down, and Star Trek: Voyager.

In the role of Ella Lopez, an LAPD forensic scientist, Aimee Garcia joined the main cast of Lucifer in Season 2. Prior to this performance, Garcia was known for her work in Dexter, Vegas, and ABC's George Lopez. She also had leading roles in Greetings from Tucson, All About the Andersons, Trauma, and Rush Hour. Additionally, Garcia played recurring roles in Off the Map and American Family, while also having guest spots in CSI: NY, Supernatural, Bones, Gary Unmarried, Impastor, Hawaii Five-0, ER, Angel, CSI: Miami, and My Boys. Furthermore, the actress appeared in Disney Channel's Cadet Kelly.

Outside of television, Aimee Garcia appeared in D.E.B.S., A Lot Like Love, The Alibi, D-War, Graduation, Shrink, RoboCop (2014), What They Had, Saint Judy, Cruel World, El Chicano, Convincing Clooney, Go For It!, After the Reality, Boys Life 4: Four Play, The Good Girl, and Spanglish. Tricia Helfer (Mum)

As "Mum," the Devil's mother and God's exiled wife, Tricia Helfer has a splashy supporting role in Lucifer. Most notably, Helfer is known for Battlestar Galactica. She can also be heard in the video games, StarCraft II and Mass Effect 3. Her other notable TV credits include recurring roles in Powers, The Firm, Step Up: High Water, and Burn Notice, as well as main cast parts in Dark Blue, Killer Women, and the fourth season of Van Helsing. Also, Helfer appears in Two and a Half Men, Chuck, Supernatural, Franklin & Bash, Criminal Minds, Community, Ascension, S.W.A.T., and Creepshow, and the actress can be heard in Tron: Uprising, Falling Skies, Rick and Morty, Scooby-Doo! Tom Welling (Lieutenant Marcus Pierce)

Playing the part of Marcus Pierce, the lieutenant who briefly oversees work at the LAPD, Tom Welling joined Lucifer during its third season. Most notably, Welling starred in The WB/The CW's Smallville as Clark Kent himself. He also had a recurring role in Judging Amy Season 2. His other television credits include Undeclared, Special Unit 2, Man Fire Food, and Professionals. He also reprised his role as Clark Kent in Batwoman.

Outside of television, Tom Welling can be seen in Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper by the Dozen 2, as well as The Fog (2005), Parkland, Draft Day, and The Choice. He also appeared in the music video for Angela Via's "Picture Perfect."

Inbar Lavi (Eve)

In the role of Eve, our titular diablo's former lover and the world's first human female, Inbar Lavi joined Lucifer during its fourth season. Prior to this performance, Lavi was seen in MTV's Underemployed, Fox's Gang Related, and Prison Break's fifth season. Additionally, Lavi starred in Bravo's Imposters. Her other television credits include CSI, CSI: Miami, Charlie's Angels, Castle, The Last Ship, Sons of Anarchy, Criminal Minds, Entourage, The Closer, In Plain Sight, and, most recently, Stumptown.

Furthermore, Inbar Lavi appeared in The Last Witch Hunter, For the Love of Money, House of Dust, Street Kings 2: Motor City, Getting That Girl, Underground, and Sorry for Your Loss.

Battlestar Galactica was one of the most notable shows of the early 2000s during its initial run, but it’s also one of those shows where the ending didn’t sit well with everyone. Part of the problem -- and obviously we’re getting into spoilers -- is that Starbuck disappeared only to come back later in the series in a mysterious and very much not straightforward manner. Now, some of the original cast have spoken to Marc Bernadin about Katee Sackhoff’s infamous farewell on the series whilst playing Kara Thrace.

Speaking to Marc Bernadin as part of the Battlestar Galacticast podcast, leads Tricia Helfer and Mary McDonnell both weighed in on Kara Thrace’s ending on the series, as well as how weird it was to simply film the finale. Touching on Starbuck specifically, Bernadin spoke out about what happened to her at the end of the series “required a leap of faith,” also noting that the character’s ending grew on him as he watched it later in life, though McDonnell disagreed with Bernadin’s take.

According to Mary McDonnell, “It wasn’t asking them to take a leap of faith, it was demonstrating faith.” She further explained her feelings about the end of the series and, in fact, it seems she was a fan of how that particular storyline panned out, as was Tricia Helfer.

On the 10-year anniversary for Battlestar Galactica, Katee Sackhoff herself touched on the fate of Kara Thrace, noting it’s the question she gets asked most by the fanbase. Ultimately, she says she knows that Starbuck was “gone,” but otherwise she’s as out of the loop as the fans are, telling TV Insider previously:

Also touching on the finale itself, Mary McDonnell and Tricia Helfer noted that some of the episodes were shot in a beautiful setting in Canada, but later some of the finale had to wrap on a soundstage, so nothing was neat or tidy about saying goodbye to BSG. According to Mary McDonnell, for her this was the most unsatisfying part of the finale. Her character Laura Roslin -- and again, spoilers -- notably dies in the final minutes of the three-part finale, and I guess McDonnell thought she’d have a few more days on set than she actually ended up having to say goodbye. Instead, the scene -- and McDonnell’s final moments on the show -- ended earlier than she anticipated. So, it’s a little bittersweet all around.

We may not all be able to agree on whether the Starbuck stuff or the final moments of Battlestar Galactica, which feature the “Inner” versions of Tricia Helfer’s 6 and Gaius Baltar, play out perfectly or even as well as could be expected. However, I will say the final scene between Laura Roslin and Captain Adama was satisfying for me from both an emotional and storytelling standpoint, so hopefully, no matter your overall feelings on the finale, there’s at least something each fan was able to take away from what Ron Moore and co. did.

Certainly, the characters have lived on in an iconic way, even if the finale isn't its best moment. Tricia Helfer may be best known for her stint as Six on Battlestar Galactica, but she definitely won't be playing a Cylon in her next big TV show. In fact, the actress will be stepping up to premium cable to tackle a new role on a unique show. Helfer has joined the cast of the Step Up TV show on Starz.

Step Up is based on the dance film franchise comprised of five movies: Step Up, Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up: 3D, Step Up: Revolution, and Step Up: All In. That said, the TV show's Starz premiere won't be the series premiere. Instead, it launched as Step Up: High Water on YouTube Red and ran for two seasons before being cancelled by the streamer in August 2019.

Starz rescued the Step Up series and renewed it for another season, which is not entirely unlike what happened to another one of Tricia Helfer's shows. Helfer joins Step Up for its inaugural season on Starz to play a character by the name of Erin. No further details are available about what Helfer will bring to the series, but some additional members of the cast have been confirmed.

Ne-Yo of World of Dance and Naya Rivera of Glee fame reprise their roles for Step Up Season 3 on Starz as Sage Odom and Collette, respectively. They run Atlanta's High Water Performing Arts School, but Season 3 will see them facing some of their biggest challenges yet in the form of criminal charges, potential financial ruin, and powerful political enemies targeting both Sage and High Water.

Also returning to Step Up are Petrice Jones as Tal, Faizon Love as Uncle Al, Marcus Mitchell as Dondre, Jade Chynoweth as Odalie, Carlito Olivero as Davis, Terrence Green as Rigo, Eric Graise as King, and Kendra Oyesanya as Poppy. The third season of the show and first on Starz will run for ten episodes.

Step Up film producers Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot are executive producing, along with creator Holly Sorensen. The first two seasons that released on YouTube will be available exclusively via Starz ahead of the launch of Season 3. For now, you can find the two completed seasons streaming on YouTube. Even without Tricia Helfer on board in those two batches of episodes, they deliver plenty of dance drama.

Despite her character's unfortunate fate, Helfer is returning to Lucifer for Season 5 and appears throughout the run of the series, which is available in full so far on Netflix. Edward James Olmos (William Adama)

As President Laura Roslin, Mary McDonell won a Saturn Award for her leading performance in Battlestar Galactica. An Academy Award-nominated actress known for her work in Passion Fish, Dances with Wolves, Independence Day, and Donnie Darko prior to her work on this acclaimed series, McDonnell is a celebrated actress of the stage and screen, and Battlestar Galactica only furthered her success. Since the show came to an end, she has most notably been seen in The Closer, for which she secured an Emmy nomination, and its spin-off series, Major Crimes. McDonell also starred in Scream 4, Margin Call, FX's Fargo, and, most recently, the newest season of Veronica Mars on Hulu.

Katee Sackhoff (Kara "Starbuck" Thrace)

Playing the part of Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, Katee Sackhoff found her breakout role in Battlestar Galactica. Her Saturn Award-winning performance paved the way for Sackhoff to appear in TV shows like CSI, Nip/Tuck, 24, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, and Robot Chicken. She also starred in A&E's Longmire, and had recurring roles in The Flash and The Big Bang Theory. Prior to Battlestar Galactica, Sackhoff starred in Halloween: Resurrection. The actress has also since starred in Batman: Year One, Riddick, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, and Oculus. Currently, Sackhoff has a main role in Netflix's Another Life.

Jamie Bamber (Lee "Apollo" Adama)

In Battlestar Galactica, Jamie Bamber played Lee "Apollo" Adama, a renowned Viper pilot, CAG of BS Galactica, and the son of William Adama. Since his time on the ship, Bamber has continued to find a lot of work on television. Notably, shortly after Battlestar Galactica's conclusion, Bamber starred in Law & Order: UK. He later starred in the TNT medical drama, Monday Mornings, and Sky 1 series, The Smoke. He also played an extended role in Marcella, as well as supporting roles in Body of Proof, Perception, Rizzoli & Isles, and NCIS. Most recently, Bamber plays an extended role in the newest season of Strike Back.

James Callis (Dr. Gaius Baltar)

Playing the part of Dr. Gaius Baltar, James Callis gave his best-known performance in Battlestar Galactica. That said, the English actor is also known for his work in the Bridget Jones trilogy playing the part of Tom, the title character's best friend. He appeared in all three films, including 2016's Bridget Jones' Baby. Since appearing in Battlestar Galactica, Callis notably appeared in Eureka, as well as Key & Peele, Arrow, CSI, Gallipoli, Rick & Morty, and Austenland. Nowadays, Callis is best known for lending his voice to Alucard in Netflix's Castlevania. He also stars in MacGyver and Blood & Treasure. Next, Callis will be seen in Break Even.

Tricia Helfer (Number Six/Caprica-Six)

Playing Cylon model Number Six, Tricia Helfer was given her claim-to-fame through Battlestar Galactica. The model-turned-actress is best known for her work on this acclaimed series, though she continues to work as an actress and voice artist. Since the show wrapped, Helfer has been heard as the voice of Sarah Kerrigan in the Starcraft games. She notably played a prominent role on Fox/Netflix's Lucifer and a recurring role in Power. Also, Helfer appeared in Authors Anonymous, Criminal Minds, Community, Tron: Uprising, Rick & Morty, Key & Peele, It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas, and last year's Bombshell. She is also soon set to play Dracula in an upcoming TV production.

Grace Park (Number Eight/Boomer/Athena)

As Cylon model Number Eight, Grace Park gave one of her most well-known performances in Battlestar Galactica. Prior to this role, the Canadian actress played a main role on Edgemont. Since her time in Battlestar Galactica, Park had main roles in The Cleaner and The Border, and she was seen in CSI, Human Target, Hawaii Five-0, Freaks, Adventures in Public School, Run Rabbit Run, and MacGyver, and she was heard on American Dad. Presently, Park plays a main role on the ABC drama series, A Million Little Things.

Michael Hogan (Colonel Saul Tigh)

An accomplished Canadian actor of the stage and screen, Michael Hogan provided one of his most well-known roles as the gruff but loyal Col. Tigh in Battlestar Galactica. In addition to this hit TV series, Hogan was also known for his role in The Peanut Butter Solution. Since his time in Battlestar Galactica, the actor has most notably been seen in Teen Wolf and heard in the Mass Effect video game series. He also appeared in Red Riding Hood, The Mentalist, Criminal Minds, The Man in the High Castle, The Tomorrow People, The Magicians, Supernatural, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and, most recently, Sonic the Hedgehog. He also appeared in The Devil Has a Name, which was directed by Edward James Olmos. Up next, Hogan will star in the series, When Calls the Heart.

Aaron Douglas (Galen Tyrol)

In the role of Galen Tyrol, a.k.a. "Chief," Aaron Douglas provided his most recognizable role. The acclaimed series gave the TV actor a great deal of exposure, although he hasn't reached that same success with any following projects. Notably, Douglas headlined the short-lived series, The Bridge. By short-lived, I mean CBS only aired three episodes before the show was pulled altogether. He played supporting parts in Smallville, Eureka, The X-Files, The Flash, Supernatural, Once Upon A Time, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce, iZombie, and The Twilight Zone. He also had recurring roles in Hemlock Grove and Hellcats, and he played a main role in Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency. So, it should be noted that he continues to be a hard-working actor. Prior to Battlestar Galactica, Douglas had small roles in The L Word, Stargate SG-1, Dark Angel, I, Robot, X2, Final Destination 2 and more.

Tahmoh Penikett (Karl "Helo" Agathon)

Through Battlestar Galactica, Canadian actor Tahmoh Penikett got his best-known role by playing Karl "Helo" Agathon, an Electronic Countermeasures Officer. Since his time on Battlestar Galactica, Penikett played a series regular on the short-lived Joss Whedon show, Dollhouse. Additionally, the actor appeared in Man of Steel, Justice League: Gods and Monsters, Arrow, Supernatural, Criminal Minds, Altered Carbon, Castle, Continuum, The Killing, Mortal Kombat: Legacy, and BH90210. He also starred in The Devil Has a Name, directed by Edward James Olmos. He'll next be seen in Supposition, The Last Victim, 2 Hearts, and Kiri and the Dead Girl.

Alessandro Juliani (Felix Gaeta)

In the role of Felix Gaeta, Alessandro Juliani found his breakout role on the bridge of Galactica. The actor-singer made small appearances in MacGyver and Final Destination before his role in the series, and he continued to build his career as an actor and voice artist during and after his time on the program. Since the show aired, Juliani has been seen in Watchmen, Smallville, Man of Steel, The X-Files, The Magicians, The 100, Girlfriends Guide to Divorce, War For The Planet of The Apes, Limetown, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Altered Carbon. And his voice has been heard in several films and TV shows, including (but not limited to), Hot Wheels: Battle Force 5, Wolverine vs. Sabretooth, Pirate Express, Ratchet & Clank, Super Dinosaur, Super Monsters, Nexo Knights, and, most recently, Ninjago. He'll next be seen in Needle in the Timestack and the TV series, Away.

Kandyse McClure (Anastasia Dualla)

A South Africa-born Canadian actress, Kandyse McClure played one of her most recognizable roles in Battlestar Galactica as the dedicated Anastasia Dualla. With a resume that previously included Romeo Must Die, See Spot Run, The Outer Limits, Dark Angel, and the TV movie, Carrie, Battlestar Galactica remains the actress' most well-known property, though she has since been seen in The Client List, The Good Doctor, and Supernatural. McClure also played recurring roles in Hemlock Grove, Arctic Air, Limetown, and V Wars, and she had a main role in Ghost Wars. The actress also starred in 2010's Mother's Day and Seventh Son. She was most recently seen in Charmed.

Lucy Lawless (Number Three/D'Anna Biers)

Best known for playing the title role in Xena: Warrior Princess, Lucy Lawless secured another role in a fan-favorite series when she joined Battlestar Galactica in the role of the spiritual Cylon, sometimes known as D'Anna Biers. Since the show's run, the New Zealand actress has most prominently been seen in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, as well as its prequel and sequel series. Additionally, Lawless had a recurring role in Parks and Recreation and Salem and she also had a main role in Ash vs. Evil Dead. She also appeared on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Top of the Lake, Adventure Time, American Dad, Flight of the Conchords and more. Next, Lawless lends her voice to the newest season of Star Wars Resistance, which is expected to come out this year, and Minions: The Rise of Gru.

Michael Trucco (Samuel Anders)

As Samuel "Longshot" Anders, Michael Trucco played a prominent supporting role in Battlestar Galactica. After he appeared on this beloved TV series, Trucco played a recurring parts on How I Met Your Mother and Revenge. He was also seen in Psych, Scandal, Criminal Minds, Chicago PD, The Good Doctor, Castle, The Bye Bye Man, Hush, The Rookie, and Hunter Killer. Next, Trucco will star in Through the Glass Darkly, Big Shot, and Midnight Mass.

Netflix's Lucifer Season 5 is bringing back Lucifer's mom Charlotte Richards in a surprising way. Now that Lucifer is filming its fifth and final season for Netflix, any and all characters could reappear, including Tricia Helfer as the devilish Goddess/Charlotte. Few fans thought that Lucifer would be getting another visit from his mom. However, since she died a few seasons ago, her return may not be what fans expect and her new look is quite the surprise.

The last time anyone saw Tricia Helfer’s Charlotte was in Lucifer Season 3. Back then, Charlotte’s wardrobe definitely looked different. In a new picture posted by Tricia Helfer (via TVLine), Charlotte’s signature leather jacket has been replaced with a retro dress, pearls, and a hairdo more in line with Pleasantville than Charlotte, mother of Lucifer.

Tricia Helfer’s caption seemed to indicate that not all is as it seems.

Anything can happen on Lucifer, but the fact that Tricia Helfer specifically decides to use quotation marks around “who’s” is suspicious. It could mean Charlotte isn’t, in fact, the mother we once knew, but an entirely new character. Lucifer definitely won’t spoil anything anytime soon, but the picture will surely stir up some great fan speculation.

Lucifer fans may recall that Charlotte wasn’t always possessed by Goddess. In fact, she was previously a Los Angeles attorney prior to being murdered. After which, her body was hijacked by Lucifer’s mom, Goddess of everything and God’s ex-wife.

Her appearance will probably be a big surprise to Lucifer, but he's busy dealing with more important things. Last week, Tom Ellis posted a picture to Instagram, announcing the return of Scarlett Estevez as Chloe’s beloved daughter, Trixie. The post indicated that her return will include a lot of screen time with Lucifer, which is great because she hasn’t been seen since the middle of Season 4.

At the end of Season 4, Lucifer left Earth to return to ruling Hell. Before that, though, Chloe finally admitted her feelings for him and Lucifer returned those feelings before leaving for good.

Since we know nothing much about Lucifer’s fifth and final season, it’s possible that Lucifer is drawn back to Earth following the Arrow-verse’s “Crisis on Infinite Earths." Most fans may not remember, but Lucifer is technically a DC Comics property. While it hasn’t been confirmed by an actual trusted source just yet, there is currently speculation that Tom Ellis’ Lucifer Morningstar may indeed be appearing in the “Crisis on Infinite Earths” crossover. Whoa.

It wouldn’t be surprising, though, especially considering that “Crisis on Infinite Earths” is rounding up almost every DCTV character and dropping them into the crossover. Even if Tom Ellis were to briefly appear, it would be a nice nod to the idea that they’re all a part of the shared DC universe.

Tricia Helfer first graced Syfy as part of the celebrated Battlestar Galactica ensemble back in the 2000s, and her latest return to the network will be to play one of horror's most iconic monsters. Helfer will portray Dracula for Season 4 of Syfy's Van Helsing, as the ultimate battle between good and evil rages on.

For those unfamiliar with Van Helsing, the series is set to introduce Tricia Helfer's Dracula in a rather advantageous setting. Van Helsing is a re-imagined take on Bram Stoker's literary classic, in which Dr. Abraham Van Helsing's daughter Vanessa is the one taking the fight to vampires in a world taken over by the creatures. Helfer's Dracula will co-star opposite Kelly Overton's Vanessa as she continues "The Rising" in an attempt to win the world back from the undead.

Of course, we're talking about THE DARK ONE here, Dracula herself. Executive producer Chad Oakes said that the battle between good and evil will reach new heights when Tricia Helfer's "fierce and unstoppable" Dracula enters the fray.

So, when will Tricia Helfer arrive on Van Helsing? The 13-episode Season 4 is set to premiere this fall, and Helfer added some info on top of that on her social media. She'll apparently pop up right in the middle of everything.

It's an exciting time for Tricia Helfer, who still has some commanding star power in the world of television. Those who don't know what she's been up to since Battlestar Galactica clearly haven't seen her as Charlotte on Lucifer, which is now on Netflix, or her run on Powers as Angela Lange. Those are just a couple roles in a very long list of high-profile television appearances, so Van Helsing was very lucky to get her for this season.

One would think it's possible Van Helsing will have Tricia Helfer back for future seasons as well, provided Syfy renews it following Season 4. Dracula is the main rival of the Van Helsing family, so this dynamic between the two characters could last a lot longer than half a season. Whether it actually will fans will just have to wait and see what the plan is, and hope that showrunner Neil LaBute doesn't put Helfer in the midst of his epic prank war, or something more lethal.

Tricia Helfer won't be the only new person to join Van Helsing in Season 4. Deadline reports WWE superstar Big Show, The 100's Richard Harmon, Defiance's Nicole Munoz, and Jigsaw's Keeya King will come into the new season as well. That's quite a few fresh faces, and the mystery behind all these three newcomers as that they're all in undisclosed roles. Are they Dracula's minions, other famous monsters, or perhaps vampire hunters ready to lend their aide to Vanessa's fight?

Lucifer returned to the airwaves for Season 3 this fall, and fans got to see the payoff of the Season 2 finale twist that saw Lucifer sending his mom into the Void. The twist meant that Tricia Helfer likely couldn't return to play Lucifer's mom again, given the seeming finality of her banishment to the Void. The good news is that Tricia Helfer still had a way to stick around the series, as the departure of Lucifer's mom meant that the human Charlotte Richards was back in control of her body. Charlotte made her grand comeback in this week's "Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards" episode, and Tricia Helfer spoke with CinemaBlend about what's to come for Charlotte now that she's in the mix, saying this:

In "Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards," we saw Charlotte attempting to make sense of the months she lost due to Lucifer's mom taking over her body. She eventually came around to believe that she needs to live a better life and clear some of the red from her ledger. The problem is that shark criminal defense attorney Charlotte doesn't quite know how to go about clearing her ledger without making more mistakes, and she doesn't really have somebody to guide her on her path. She did forge a connection with Lucifer by the end of the episode, and she showed signs of potentially rekindling her relationship with Dan, but neither is really equipped to help her learn to live a better life.

Who better than Ella to know the most moral path to take? She's already proven perceptive of the change in Charlotte, as she realized in "Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards" that the lightness that was present in Lucifer's mom was no longer present in Charlotte. Of course, that darkness coupled with Charlotte's cold-shouldering of Dan may not make Ella feel particularly inclined to help her, but Tricia Helfer's comments make it sound like Charlotte isn't planning on taking no for an answer. Lucifer has always excelled at combining comedy with drama, and an exploration of Ella and Charlotte as a duo could provide plenty of both.

That said, Tricia Helfer did reveal one thing she misses about playing Lucifer's mother:

While we will get to see more of Charlotte with other characters (including Ella), we evidently shouldn't count on seeing too much of her with Lucifer or Amenadiel in the foreseeable future. Luckily, the scenes between Charlotte and Lucifer in "Welcome Back, Charlotte Richards" were meaty enough for fans to ponder in the coming weeks. Sadly, Amenadiel was not on hand during their interactions, which is something of a shame. His reaction to seeing Charlotte making a move on Lucifer would have been pretty entertaining, even if seeing Lucifer splutter his way through turning her down was definitely funny enough on its own. All things considered, we have a lot to look forward to with Charlotte in Lucifer Season 3.

When it comes to projects that makes the geekier sections of society squeal with delight, you can’t get much better than the re-teaming of Firefly stars Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk for the latter’s upcoming webseries Con Man. The fanbase-centered comedy already has a premise and cast members that Comic Con lovers will be familiar with, and now the show has added a slew of new names, including Tricia Helfer, Michael Trucco, Robert Patrick, Emily Kinney, Mindy Sterling, Nolan North and Samantha Smith.

The news comes straight from Nerdist, and this isn’t even the last of the casting announcements that we can expect for Con Man. I’ve no doubt that many more actors and actresses will be signing up before production goes underway. Let’s take a look at each of these genre-friendly actors one by one, although we sadly have no idea if they’ll all be playing themselves or if they’ll be playing fictional characters.

Tricia Helfer got her big break as Number 6 in Syfy’s Battlestar Galactica miniseries, reprising the role for the following four seasons. She’s also starred in series such as Dark Blue and The Firm, voicing The Grid in the animated TRON: Uprising and most recently starring in Syfy’s lopsided sci-fi miniseries Ascension.

Like Helfer, with whom he co-starred in the western drama Killer Women, Trucco capitalized on his TV career by starring as Sam Anders in Battlestar Galactica. Beyond that, he’s had recurring roles in series such as How I Met Your Mother, Revenge, Fairly Legal and Criminal Minds. He was most recently seen in the TV Land comedy The Exes and the short film Drone.

Throw a rock and you’ll hit a movie or TV show that Robert Patrick starred in, most memorably Terminator 2: Judgment Day, in which he played the nightmarish T-1000. (Not to mention Fire in the Sky and The Faculty.) He took David Duchovny’s place as the male lead in The X-Files’ final seasons, and he’ll reportedly be back for the upcoming revival. His most recent TV work has seen him in other genre shows like True Blood and From Dusk Till Dawn, and he currently stars in CBS’ Scorpion.

After a bit role on Showtime’s The Big C, Emily Kinney broke through to the mainstream as Beth Greene in The Walking Dead. She’s surrounded that huge role with appearances on The Following, Forever and an upcoming part as the Bug-Eyed Bandit on The Flash.

A TV vet for over 30 years, Mindy Sterling is arguably most known for her role as Dr. Evil’s loud-mouthed defense specialist Frau Farbissina. She’s had a solid voice acting career with roles on Kick Buttowski and The Legend of Korra, and she could be seen in two seasons of Jim Jeffries’ Legit and Black-ish. She’ll soon play Taran Killam’s mom in the upcoming comedy Casual Encounters.

The voice of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted video game series, Nolan North has built a huge career doing voicework in video games and cartoons, though his live-action work includes a bit part in Star Trek Into Darkness, a regular spot on Pretty Little Liars and a a few years leading the soap opera Port Charles. He’s voiced everything from Kraang in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to Hank Pym in Ultimate Avengers to Smokescreen in Transformers: Prime.

Perhaps best known as Sam and Dean’s mother on Supernatural, Samantha Smith is no stranger to TV, where she could be seen most recently in Intelligence and The Mentalist. On the film side of things, she starred in Transformers and can be seen later this year in the horror Worry Dolls.

These seven actors join the already cast Seth Green, Felicia Day, Sean Maher, Gina Torres, Amy Acker and Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. The campaign has already racked up well over $2.4 million, securing an entire first season for Con Man, with almost two weeks left to get Tudyk and his creative team well on their way through a second season. Huzzah!

If you're casting a role described as "beautiful, manipulative and dangerous," Tricia Helfer would be a pretty ideal candidate for the part. See her performance as Six in Battlestar Galactica for evidence of that. With that in mind, it's particularly fitting that Helfer should return to Syfy for a "beautiful, manipulative and dangerous" role in the cable channel's six hour event series Ascension.

Tricia Helfer will play Viondra Denniger, a woman who regards herself as "a not-so-secret power broker" aboard the Ascension. She's also the beautiful, manipulative and dangerous wife to the Captain of the ship. Her position of power and privilege comes in handy as the Ship's Chief Steward.

This is certainly a notable bit of casting for the ambitious project, which Syfy's aiming to get on the air this November. Since playing Six (and numerous variations of the Cylon model) in Battlestar Galactica, Tricia Helfer has bounced between network and cable TV, with roles in TNT's Dark Blue, Fox's Lie to Me, NBC's short-lived The Firm and most recently, ABC's Killer Women. She also dropped in for guest spots in shows like Community, Two and a Half Men and Franklin & Bash. It's been hit or miss for her in terms of new projects. She had starring roles in Ronald Moore's 17th Precinct pilot, which didn't go to series, and also played the lead in Scent of the Missing at TNT. That didn't pan out either.

While Helfer's proven adept at handling strong female roles in any genre, it's especially promising to note that she's returning to the genre that set her career off. Meanwhile, based on the projects Syfy is lining up, it seems like the cable channel is targeting more and more projects that suit its base genre. With non-sci-fi shows like Being Human wrapping up, Syfy is pushing forward with projects like 12 Monkeys, The Expanse and another helping of Helix. And then, of course, there's Sharknado and Z Nation, which fit into their own niche of the sci-fi genre. It's going to be very interesting to see how Syfy looks in the coming years once all of these projects settle in.

Battlestar Galactica’s Tricia Helfer has signed on for ABC’s Killer Women pilot. The title is more reminiscent of an Investigative Discovery network program than anything else, but instead it’s about a division of Texas Rangers that is almost completely made up of men. In fact, only one woman can call herself a ranger in the division. Just call her Mary, Texas Ranger.

Helfer has joined Killer Women playing Ranger Molly Parker. According to TV Line, her character will be both tough and sexy—which makes sense, as Helfer has proved to be both beautiful and a badass in other shows. Plus, any show about Texas Rangers likely requires more than a fair share of moxy. The Playboy Club’s Hannah Shakespeare wrote the pilot, which is based on the series Mujeres Asesinas which was created in Argentine.

Helfer has been in decently high demand since BSG ended its series. Unfortunately, her picks so far have been duds. You may have seen her over the last several years in both Dark Blue and The Firm, which both had short, partial season runs. Last pilot season, she was signed on for TNT’s Scent of the Missing, which was eventually scrapped before it went to series. The actress hasn’t had the greatest luck when it comes to new programs, but here’s hoping that Killer Women will be the hit Helfer needs and not only make it to series, but have a lengthy run at ABC.

Among the projects in development for TNT was Scent of the Missing, a drama focuses on a K-9 Search and Rescue volunteer named Susannah, whose partner is a mischievous golden retriever. Had the pilot been picked up, it would have put Battlestar Galactica's Tricia Helfer in a starring role, alongside Firefly's Summer Glau. While the concept of the drama had nothing to do with sci-fi, I have no doubt that plenty of fans would have loved to see the River and Six on screen together. Alas, it's not meant to be. Not in this project, anyway.

Deadline reported tonight that TNT has decided to pass on Scent of the Missing. One of four dramas in development for the cable channel, this one goes the way of the Western pilot the network also picked up but passed on, Tin Star. As a fan of Helfer, I was hoping we'd hear good news about it, but apparently, TNT has decided not to move forward with the project.

With David E. Kelley's Monday Mornings given the green light and a Summer 2013 targeted premiere, that just leaves Frank Darabont's L.A. Noir as the final of the four in-development pilots awaiting its fate at the network. Deadline says there's "strong pickup buzz" for Darabont's gangster-focused pilot. Between Darabont's involvement and the cast, which includes The Walking Dead's Jon Bernthal and Jeffrey DeMunn, I want to say that this one's a lock, but as the decision on Scent of the Missing has proven, a strong cast doesn't guaranty a green light. So we'll have to wait and see what TNT decides.

Anytime you watch a movie about a dog or a horse, it’s fair to say you run a pretty big risk of crying at the end when the story inevitably reminds you that pets are awesome and then they die. TV shows are a bit more lenient on their viewers in that respect. Like babies, most shows don’t bother with pets unless they’re relevant to the story, in which case they're usually kept around (See: Lassie) or written off the show (Friends). The pets are, anyway. Babies usually get aged up, but that’s irrelevant to this news.

TNT has a drama pilot in the works called Scent of the Missing, which follows Susannah, a K-9 Search and Rescue volunteer who works with a golden retriever named Puzzle. Considering Puzzle (who has yet to be cast) plays an integral part of the series, I'd say it's safe to assume he (or she) will be kept around for a while, though it's probably also fair to expect the dog will be put in harm's way at least a few times, for suspense purposes.

According to Deadline, TNT is putting Tricia Helfer back in a starring role on cable. The Battlestar Galactica star has been cast to play the role of Susannah, who’s described as “tenacious” and “strong-willed.” Those who have seen Helfer in BSG, or her more recent appearances (Dark Blue, No Ordinary Family) aren’t likely to have trouble picturing Helfer as a strong female lead.

Helfer is also set to appear in NBC’s upcoming drama The Firm, and was cast in a role in 17th Precinct, a pilot by Ronald Moore that did not receive a series order last spring.

Gerald McRaney (Undercovers, Fairly Legal) has also been cast in Scent of the Missing. He’s set to play Helfer’s character’s father, Jerry.

Today BioWare announced the voice acting cast for Mass Effect 2. The numerous TV/film actors lending their voice include Martin Sheen, Michael Dorn, and Tricia Helfer.

Let's be honest, fans of Battlestar Galactica are more than likely already checking out CBS's Monday night hit The Big Bang Theory. But perhaps they shouldn't let their geekery stop there. This week and next week both of Chuck Lorre's Monday night CBS comedies will be getting visits from BSG alums.

We're not talking grouchy old Col. Tigh, or Admiral Adama getting drunk with Charlie and starting a bar fight. No, let's keep the crossovers to the babes! The BSG babeapalooza starts on tonight's episode of Two and a Half Men as everyone's favorite Cylon Number Six Tricia Helfer guests as Chelsea's college roommate staying with the gang after a bad break-up.

Then, on the November 23rd installment of The Big Bang Theory, Katee Sackhoff (Starbuck) helps Wolowitz out with his relationship troubles ... in his bathtub! I know, I was wishing I'd have video of that, but alas no luck ... yet! I'm holding out hope that Sackhoff will appear at my door with a signed copy of the scene. Or better yet, offer to re-enact it for me.

Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory air in a back-to-back block Monday nights at 9pm ET on CBS.

The second season of Burn Notice is about to wrap up and Tricia Helfer was kind enough to participate in a conference call to talk about her role in the show. She also has some interesting things to say about Battlestar Galactica, Chuck, being Canadian and transitioning from modeling to acting. We’ve got the full transcript of the call to share with you.

Will there be a conclusion to the number six?

There definitely is, yes. For the first time I find out after five years of filming what that relationship is, so there will be a conclusion by the finale, yes.

When you joined the cast of Burn Notice, was there instant chemistry when everyone came together, or did it take some time to develop?

I’d say there was instant chemistry, but it was really only, I really only worked with Jeffrey Donovan. I met Gabrielle and I met Bruce and worked with him a little bit. Bruce is just such an easy going guy it’s impossible not to get along with him, and Gabrielle is really sweet. Jeffrey had actually emailed me prior to going down there the first time to welcome me and say he was excited that I was joining the show. So I went down knowing it was going to be a great cast to work with and they didn’t let me down, they were just really wonderful to work with.

What have you found the most challenging aspect of your role as Carla?

I think the most challenging aspect was actually similar to sort of the first question about Battlestar, it’s kind of not knowing the end. With Carla, I didn’t know who Carla worked for. I didn’t know who management was the entire time I filmed, so you’re just kind of filling in the blanks yourself, but at the same time you don’t really want to say, okay, this is who it is or make too strong of a back story yourself in case it is revealed. But that I’d say was the hardest thing is Carla being pretty much as elusive to me as the actor as she is to the audience.

Can you tell us, what is your involvement beyond the season finale next week? Are you on board for next season?

I’m not on board for next season, no. As I like to say, I was the baddie of the second season, so yes, my last two episodes are this week and the finale, March 5th.

Okay, so what can you tell us about those two episodes? What kind of resolution might we get?

I think the first two episodes back from the midseason hiatus definitely showed that Carla had been taken by surprise a bit, she’s been rattled, which she’s not used to. It definitely comes to a culmination in the finale where she’s been trying to get information from Michael Westen about who tried to kill him, who tried to blow up his apartment, and it really comes to a culmination with management breathing down her back. And she’s put her neck on the line in terms of vouching for Michael Westen and Michael hasn’t really fully come up with anything to help her out, so it comes to a culmination point in the finale.

Can you tell us a little bit about how you first got involved with Burn Notice?

I first got involved with the very rare, but very wonderful situation where you get offered a job. I was up in Vancouver filming Battlestar and I was approached by my agent or my manager about the job. I actually hadn’t seen it, the show, because being in Canada a lot in Vancouver filming Battlestar, Burn Notice doesn’t air up there yet, unfortunately. So they sent me DVDs and I was hooked from the first episode and gladly signed on to join in for the second season. But it came in as an offer and I was hooked from the first episode.

Carla, she’s quite mysterious and so is Vick on Battlestar and they both have this great power and you don’t want to cross them. But I was wondering do you prefer to play these types of characters, or have you found it a little hard to branch out and not be thought of this ass-kicking destroyer of the human race?

I’d rather play an ass-kicking destroyer or a super strong spy or agent than some meek, vulnerable character. But it’s definitely, I don’t want to get type cast as one thing, and that’s certainly some of the other things I’ve been doing in hiatus, doing other roles, although I have one coming up where I’m an ass-kicking spy, so I don’t know about that. I don’t know how well my not being type cast is going, but they’re great shows. I’m super happy to be part of them. I think it’s important as I go to some of my next jobs maybe are a different take, a different type of character, but they’re certainly fun characters to play. They’re smart. They’re strong. Who wouldn’t want to play a strong female character?

I heard you talking earlier that you’re not going to be in the third season. I’m sorry to hear about that. My question is more about Michael and Carla. I’ve noticed as the series has gone on and she tended to let her guard down and started to trust Michael more. Even though your character is not going to be in the third season, are we probably going to find out more about Carla’s character in that terms about how her and Michael are working together?

You’ll get to see a little bit. You do see her, Carla, soften a little bit. She’s been rattled and she needs to rely on Michael a little bit more and she puts some trust in him. So she’s hoping that he doesn’t let her down. And like I mentioned before, she has management breathing down her back, so she’s definitely putting some trust in Michael and hoping that he steps up to the bar. But you really don’t learn—Carla still stays pretty elusive to the audience even through the finale. She’s certainly not—her whole history is not going to be revealed.

Can you talk about how her organization breathing down her neck, are we going to find out more about what the organization is?

You’re definitely going to get a big clue, a big hint in the finale about who management is. I won’t say for sure if you’re going to find out who, what the organization is, but there will be another piece to the puzzle and you will definitely meet Carla’s higher ups, you will meet management, yes.

I actually want to get a little more higher level and have you talk about how you’ve managed your career from being discovered as a model in Alberta those many years ago and playing the role in Battlestar and having management and agents who are actually seeking roles on shows like Burn Notice and Chuck. So how have you managed that career path?

To be honest, it is the career path that I never thought I would be going down. When I was in high school I thought I was going to university into psychology. As you said, I was discovered by a model scout and I thought I’d give that a try. Cut to ten years later, eight years later, I had a great career, but feeling like I wanted more and definitely something more intriguing for the mind. So I started acting classes just on a whim, thinking it would help with commercial auditions while I modeled for another year or two. And then I figured I’d probably—I was in the finding out stage of what I was going to do and was I going to go back to university or what, and got into an acting class and absolutely fell in love with it from the first class.

I modeled for another two years and took night classes in New York City and then moved out of New York and moved to LA and a year later got Battlestar. So it’s building blocks and it’s a career, I started at the bottom again, a new career and just building your way up. I’m happy that I have agents and managers that believe in me. So it’s a normal process that anyone takes if you’re not born into it or have any kind of dealings with the business, you start out and you work hard and hopefully things fall your way.

So what are your aspirations for acting beyond this? You’re doing some guest starring roles and things here and there. What have you got your fingers in that you can look forward to in the future?

Well, I’m right in the middle of pilot season right now. It’s my first year in five years of being available because of Battlestar now being finished. I got Battlestar in my first year of acting, so definitely being on a show, it’s amazing to be on a show, you want to be on a show, but it also limits what you can do with your hiatus when you’re shooting 22 episodes a year of a show.

Now is really the first pilot season and I’m actually in negotiations right now with a pilot that I’m quite excited about, but it’s a little too early to stake my claim on it yet until everyone has signed on the dotted line. But yes, I’m looking, as one of the callers earlier asked about varying roles and I’m definitely looking for my next project to be something that’s a little bit different. First off, I’ll be playing a human and not a spy. But yes, I’ll be looking for something that varies the roles up.

We’re big, huge, Chuck fans. We would like to know, you have an episode coming up where you’re going to be in the spy field again. We wanted to know what the similarities and differences between Carla and your Chuck character will be.

I think the differences are really in the tone of the show. Burn Notice is a show that definitely has some levity to it and it’s a fun show, but it’s also, you fully believe, you’re fully invested that Michael Westen does this stuff. You want Michael Westen on your team. With Chuck, obviously it just takes it another step further into the comedy side and it’s definitely a little lighter and fun. So with Carla, obviously they’re both super strong intelligent agents, but I think with agent Alex Ford as my Chuck character, it’s just a little bit more tongue in cheek. She’s much more like Casey. She’s very by the book. She’s very no nonsense, kind of emotional, which sounds similar to Carla, but Carla—they’re both kind of bad asses, I guess, when you’re looking back at it. But Chuck just has a little bit more tongue in cheek.

You’re allowed to be a little bit more—you can be straighter on Chuck, …Alex Ford could be straighter and I worried less about showing dimensions to the character because that was the humor about the character. She is so one note emotionalist. With Carla, my concern with her was making sure that because you really never find out too much about her, making sure that she’s not just super agent bitch spy and that’s it, that you get glimpse into a bit of a vulnerability or a bit of a humanity, other than just being super strong.

After years of watching you manipulate Gaius Baltar, describe the different and the challenge in trying to manipulate Michael Westen, who resists a little more than Gaius did.

Yes, he does resist a little more than Gaius. They’re both incredibly intelligent characters, but with Gaius, Number Six never had to worry of him outsmarting her. Even though he’s obviously the genius scientist, he’s so genius he’s a little bit socially inept in some ways and Michael Westen isn’t. He’s so adept at becoming other people and other characters for his work that you want to be concerned that you’re not being taken advantage of or that he’s not pulling a fast one over on you, so to speak. Baltar is a little bit more, you see what you get.

What was it like when you shot your last episode for Battlestar Galactica?

Shooting the last episode is intense, not only do emotions run really high because obviously this is the last time you’re working with a lot of these people and you become like family over five years, but it’s also very intense because last episodes tend to come in very long. I think we had a four hour script in a two hour time frame to shoot that we were maybe given a couple of extra days. So we really shot incredibly long hours and everybody was kind of like zombies at the end of it. So it’s intense, emotions are really high, but it’s also a wonderful feeling, it’s a great feeling of accomplishment and camaraderie, too.

Professionally as an actor, you said that you made the jump from modeling to acting. What was the biggest challenge you faced in making that transition?

To be honest, to be taken seriously. Models have a stigma that they can’t act. You’re also, to be quite blunt, you’re tall and not a lot of actors are tall and when you are starting out you’re obviously not the first one cast, so you’re trying to fit into a mold. You’re quite often not cast as the quirky best friend, but you don’t have the experience to be cast as the lead. So it can be really tricky. One of the biggest things is just to get your people, so to speak, your agents and managers to take you seriously. That’s one of the issues I had when I came out to LA.

I was with an agency in New York, joined the agency out here and they just wanted to put me up for walk by in a bikini role kind of thing, and that’s certainly not me because I’m not built like Carmen Electra or Pamela Anderson, so I found I was in a weird spot of not getting sent out for the roles that I wanted. That’s when you have to just take charge and you walk into the agency and say, “I want to go on this.”

You just have to be persistent. I think that’s one of the biggest things about this industry and this career is being persistent and believing in yourself and also being ready when the timing is right. So much of it is about timing and luck, so to be ready when you get the opportunity.

I was going to ask you, you’re Canadian, which I didn’t realize, and I was wondering if you had to work hard to sound non-Canadian in some of your roles or it just came naturally from all your modeling and traveling around internationally.

I’ve been living, I’ve lived in New York since I was 18 years old and traveled pretty much all over the world. I guess my accent just disappeared on its own. I didn’t consciously do it, but by the time I had started acting, I sounded American. Most people actually guess me as a little bit Southern than Canadian. So I didn’t have to consciously lose it, no. Although when I do go back to Canada, I’m around the Canadian crews for a while or I go back to my parents’ farm for while, I come back sounding a little more Canadian, the out and about starts coming out. My general speaking now doesn’t have any Canadian accent in it.

Is there anything else you tell us about your last two episodes on Burn Notice without giving too much away?

It’s kind of hard without giving too much away. I will say I’m really excited to see the last episode. There’s a great stunt at the end that I’m just so excited to see. It’s not even my stunt, but I’m really excited to see it and I think it’s going to be a great finale. It really comes to a culmination point and Carla has kind of had it with Michael Westen and she realizes he’s just basically run her around in circles after she’s put some trust into him that he’s going to find the bomber and help give her the name, which essentially is a rogue agent, but she knows it is, and he disappoints her, so it comes to a culmination.

Basically as we still don’t know whether Chuck is going to be renewed for a third season or not, I did want to know if the role that you play, is it sort of open ended, so that if Chuck does come back for a third season you might consider doing another episode?

Oh, definitely, yes, if it does comes back, and I expect it to, it’s a great show, so I hope it comes back, yes, it’s definitely open ended in terms of I could come back. Agent Alex Forrest is alive at the end of the episode and she could always come back, but I don’t expect to come back, certainly not on a regular basis, but I’d certainly sign to coming on again and shaking things up. I think she may have a little thing for Casey at the end of the episode, so if she comes back, it would be fun to come back and explore that because Casey doesn’t get very much action.

Now that you’ve done Battlestar Galactica and Burn Notice, what was it like working with Edward James Olmos and Mary McDonnell on Battlestar? Were those experiences a little bit different than working with Jeffrey Donovan and Bruce Campbell?

Yes and no. I’d say they’re very similar because they’re all very talented and very professional people, there’s no diva attitudes, and it’s really about the work and the craft and they’re incredibly hard working. Starting, when I started Battlestar, Eddie and Mary had been in the business for a long time and Emmy nominated, Oscar nominated. It was just an incredible experience to be able to work with them. For all of the younger cast on Battlestar it was wonderful to have these two kind of helm the show and you got to really see what two people who are so talented, how their passion to the work goes and how much work they put into it and how much dedication.

It was very similar going down to Burn Notice and you have that same vibe with people that are just—they love the show they’re working on. They’re dedicated to it and they’re really hard workers. So there really wasn’t that much difference, aside from, obviously, the show itself and the type of show.

If Carla did come back on Burn Notice perhaps for next season or after, what are the ways you’d like to see her maybe develop and maybe even become an ally to Michael in the future?

Oh, that would be a lot of fun to become an ally of Michael. It would be great to have that. I’d obviously like to find out a little bit more about what makes her tick and find out a little bit more about her.

Could you ever see her as being a possible love interest for Michael?

Yes, sure. No, I think Fiona and the Michael relationship is too kind of complex. I think, my own opinion, is they’re made for each other and it’s only going to take them time to figure that out. I certainly wouldn’t turn down a relationship with Michael Westen. I don’t think any girl would.

With this finale of Battlestar Galactica fast approaching, do you think that there’d be any possibility of a spin-off of Battlestar further in the future? I know they’re working on the prequel, but would you see any possibility of a future spin-off, like for the series?

You know, I’ve never really thought about that. Without giving away the finale, I guess there sort of could be. It’s definitely a closing in one respect, but now that you mentioned it, there could possibly be a spin-off. I don’t expect there to be. I really don’t expect there to be and I don’t think that’s their intention, but I guess you can never say never in this business.

Just to follow up, what have you enjoyed the most about your work on Burn Notice and Battlestar? What are some things you’ve enjoyed the most?

I think really, to be honest, I think just getting to work with who I’ve gotten to work with, they’re really talented people and getting the kind of writing and direction and everything, the people involved, not just the cast. But you’re talking about Ron Moore and Matt Nix and just really great guys, incredible writers. I’m fascinated with how their minds work. It’s just beyond me how they can come up with all this stuff. I’d say getting to work with who I’ve gotten to work with and that kind of level of quality scripts and production that I got to work on.

Burn Notice seems to be doing just so well and your character, Carla, she’s mysterious and so empowering and everything. I just want to know what do you love the most about playing her?

I think that it is empowering and that she’s strong and smart and she’s gotten to where she is by her own gumption, her own dedication. I like the fact that she’s very similar to Michael. Although you don’t get to see her fun side like you do for Michael, but maybe she has a bit less of one. I like being on par with that level of agent, the fact that Michael Westen can pretty much do whatever he wants, as can Fiona and Sam, to some extent.

That’s how I feel that Carla is. Carla is not one to be taken advantage of, which I think is what’s interesting about coming up to the last two episodes is, she doesn’t trust anybody and she’s finally put a little bit of trust into Michael and I think that’s probably backfiring on her. I like the fact that she’s strong and she’s as good at her job as Michael is at his.

I know you’ve appeared in so many ad campaigns for so many different designers and you’ve been walking the runways all over the world and been on the covers of L and Vogue and all of that, do you ever think that maybe you’ll make a return to fashion? Or is that something that really inspired you or do you really think that in the future, you’ll probably keep focusing more on your acting and building that resume up?

Oh, definitely. I have no interest in going back into fashion, aside from doing some endorsements or something. I’m certainly going to be open to endorsements, but to me that’s not modeling. Technically I guess you’re modeling if you’re posing for a picture, but it’s a different thing. Besides, I’m getting too old to go back into modeling. But no, I’ve been there, done that. I had a great career at it, learned a lot, but moved on and I’m much more excited to be working on a character or getting into the psychology of a character, that sort of thing, than just posing for a picture.

Just a quick question regarding the latest episode of Battlestar Galactica, that was quite an emotional episode. How was that for you to play?

Obviously the episode was an emotional one for Caprica Six. It wasn’t anything I don’t think particularly difficult over just, it’s an emotional scene. I think actually I shot that episode right before I went down and did my first episode of Burn Notice. It’s just work and I was glad—I’ve been fairly light in a few episodes and I was glad to see a strong scene for my character. It was hard to see Caprica lose the baby because she’s wanted one and stemming from people …that she killed the baby in the miniseries and now she has her own baby lost. But throughout that with her relationship with Baltar and now Tigh, she’s really been and connected to Hera in a way, and she’s been really kind of striving for this, so it was hard to film that just in that respect of seeing the character lose that. But I didn’t go home and cry that night. It’s obviously not like you’re not losing your own baby, so it’s hard at work but you have great people around to work with you.

What has been your most memorable moment you’ve had from filming Burn Notice?

Most memorable moment, there’s quite a few. One of my moments that I disliked the most was, I’m not sure if it’s in the next episode coming up or the finale, but we’re shooting a limousine scene where Carla is trying to get a little information, offer a little and get a little from Michael Westen. I had stopped drinking coffee and I’ve been doing green tea, on a personal note I had stopped drinking coffee, but we started early and I just grabbed a cup of coffee off catering and we got inside this limo, which, of course, you can’t have air conditioning on because you’d hear it with the filming, and you’re in a limo with the camera, operator, the focus polar, a couple of other guys. Jeffery is in there. I’m in there. It’s Miami. It’s humid. It’s really hot. I’m in a pantsuit and I got the jitters from the coffee so bad that I could barely speak. I was sweating. Hair and makeup can’t fit in there, so I’m trying to do my own powder and my hair is matted to me and shaking. I had to hand Jeffrey something and I’m shaking in the scene.

And we finished it and I’m like, “Jeffrey, I don’t know what got into me. I had coffee and this is insane and I’ve not been drinking coffee.” And Jeffrey looked at me and he starts laughing. And he’s like, “Yes, you stop drinking coffee for a while and then you drink again and you realize why you shouldn’t be drinking it.” “Yes, Jeffrey, that makes sense.” But I was horrified by the scene while I was shooting it because I was so uncomfortable, but at the same time, I’ve seen it in ADR and it turned out fine. But Jeffrey stayed calm throughout even though I was a mess, so that’s definitely one of my memories from Burn Notice.

Moving forward professionally, what are your thoughts on breaking free of having been Cylon and do you have any concerns about being able to do that?

No, not really, because I have gone on and done a couple of other things. I think people within the business really respect Battlestar. If they’re fans of the show, if they watch the show, they’ve also seen that the Cylons aren’t just cold robotic creatures like maybe a Terminator. It’s not your typical robot. It’s much more like Blade Runner and the Replicants and things like that. So they have a lot more emotion and they’re a lot more human than—I think it would be harder if you were playing much more of a robotic creature than people might think, that you might not be able to do other type of roles. So I’m really not worried about it.

In 2002 I had heard that you had done, you had the opportunity to play Eva in that independent film, White Rush. After that, you did a few motion pictures. I just really want to know how you feel about working in film as opposed to working in television and if that’s maybe a medium that you’re hoping to break more into.

Certainly. I think in this day and age, film and TV, before I was in it, you were either film or you were TV and now the lines are so crossed, that I certainly hope to do more film. Again, it’s hard on a television schedule to fit that much in, especially when you’re starting out because you have to audition for things. So to actually fit into that hiatus is very difficult, so it’s certainly something I’m looking forward to doing. I auditioned for some and I have a couple in the pipeline that are possibilities an if financing comes together in this market in this economy, which is a challenge for independent film right now. So hopefully in this market, the independent film still keeps going and hopefully I land a couple of them.
