It's still feeling a lot like winter around the country, For all of the recent TV cancellations that might be weighing some fans down, there are more than enough high-profile premieres on the way to hopefully make up for anything that’s lost. From new Netflix series and stand-up specials to a new animated chapter from Star Wars’ saga to the long-awaited returns of Euphoria and Malcolm in the Middle. April 2026 is packed with TV highlights, and we’re putting the spotlight on those lower down, as well as everything coming up in the rest of 2026.

No foolin', April brings about some of the biggest TV highlights of the year, including the last reign of heroic terror from Antony Starr's Homelander in The Boys' final season, as well as returns from Sam Witwer's Darth Maul and the Stranger Things kids. I guess big returns are a running theme for the month, as we can also look forward to the third season of HBO's Euphoria, the second season of Netflix's Beef, and a revival of the beloved 2000s sitcom Malcolm in the Middle.

May 2026 TV Premieres
Traditionally, May has always been a month where TV finales have far outnumbered the amount of new shows debuting. That hasn't completely changed yet, but there's a shrinking number of finale-worthy TV shows on broadcast TV, which is allowing for more channels and platforms to go harder on debuting new projects. to set up the Summer TV season. This month marks the long-gestating and somewhat controversial return of Prime Video's Good Omens for its final epilogue, as well as Nicolas Cage's arrival as The Spider in Spider-Noir.

We've been waiting a while for Netflix's conspiratorial military thriller Trinity, starring Richard Madden, Gugu Mbatha Raw, JD Pardo and Marcia Gay Harden, and we'll be waiting a few more months yet for that and the upcoming LIttle House on the Prairie reboot. "Lucky" for everyone, the new Apple TV show from Anya-Taylor Joy and Timothy Olyphant is also this month.
